Welcome to today's energy and infrastructure
• 0:03
briefing. Yeah. We are looking at a highly significant
• 0:07
diplomatic meeting that recently took place over
• 0:09
in Dubai. Right. They were basically mapping
• 0:13
out the future of international green energy
• 0:15
collaboration. Exactly. And to be, you know,
• 0:18
absolutely precise about the nature of these
• 0:21
talks, let's just go straight to the official
• 0:23
record. Okay. His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al
• 0:27
-Tayyar. MD and CEO of the Dubai Electricity
• 0:31
and Water Authority, or DIWA, received His Excellency
• 0:34
Lutfullah Goktas, Turkey's ambassador to the
• 0:37
UAE, right at DIWA's headquarters. Wow. They
• 0:41
met to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation
• 0:44
between DIWA and Turkish companies in the energy,
• 0:48
water, and infrastructure sectors. This kind
• 0:51
of high -level alignment is just crucial for
• 0:54
global energy transitions. Hmm. The meeting was
• 0:58
attended by Wali bin Salman, executive vice president
• 1:01
of business development and excellence at Diwa.
• 1:03
Right. And they also explored investment opportunities
• 1:07
in areas of mutual interest. When we talk about
• 1:10
mutual interest here, we are talking about mega
• 1:13
projects. Oh, absolutely. During the meeting,
• 1:17
Altair outlined Diwa's strategies and flagship
• 1:20
clean and renewable energy projects. Yeah. He
• 1:24
particularly highlighted the Mohammed bin Rashid
• 1:26
Al Maktoum Solar Park, which is the world's largest
• 1:29
single -site solar park. Wow. This project supports
• 1:33
the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and, of
• 1:37
course, the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emission Strategy
• 1:39
2050. It's just amazing to think about the sheer
• 1:43
scale of the world's largest single -site solar
• 1:46
park. But it's not just about energy generation.
• 1:50
It's about water, too. Altair also highlighted
• 1:54
the rapid development of the UAE's energy sector
• 1:57
and its leading role in adopting advanced technologies
• 2:00
and sustainable energy solutions. Yeah. He also
• 2:04
pointed out its pioneering experience in water
• 2:07
desalination and water resource management. Wow.
• 2:10
He underscored the importance of knowledge exchange
• 2:13
between both sides in these vital fields. That
• 2:17
knowledge exchange is exactly what makes international
• 2:20
diplomacy so impactful. In fact, Goktas commended
• 2:24
Diwa's significant achievements in the energy,
• 2:27
water, and sustainability sectors. Right. He
• 2:30
then expressed his country's strong interest
• 2:32
in strengthening collaboration with Diwa across
• 2:35
  various development and investment projects.
• 2:37
It really sets the stage for some exciting joint
• 2:40
ventures between UAE and Turkey in the coming
• 2:42
years. Yeah, it really does. Now, here's a question
• 2:47
we'd like you all to think about. Hmm. As countries
• 2:50
continue to build these massive cross -border
• 2:53
  partnerships for sustainable infrastructure?
• 2:55
Right. Which technology, solar energy or advanced
• 3:00
water desalination, do you think will have the
• 3:02
most profound impact on global development by
• 3:05
  2050?
