- 0:02When we talk about Jesus, we're gonna deal with who He is in a way that you probably have never heard it before Jesus, the king of glory.
- 0:17In the book of First Corinthians, chapter two, we're gonna see when he tells you that Jesus is the Lord of glory.
- 0:27And it says starting with verse 16:11,"Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the prince of this world, that come to nought; but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: which none of the princes of the world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory." But it is written,"Eye have not seen, nor ear heard, neither enter into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.
- 1:32But God has revealed them," we talk about the mysteries now,"unto us by His Spirit.
- 1:39For the Spirit searches all things, yeah, the deep things of God.
- 1:45For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him?
- 1:52Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God." Jesus, that's the title, the King of Glory.
- 2:04So now that we have, we call Him the Lord of Glory, the King of Glory, what does that mean?
- 2:13See, most of the time we have things in the Word of God, but we don't really understand the significance of the title why he says what it says.
- 2:29Let's deal with get a understanding.
- 2:33In the book of Psalms chapter 24, Psalms 24, we're dealing with verse one through 10 because it's teaching us something.
- 2:45See, David, which we know, is telling us about Jesus, the king of glory.
- 2:52Now remember now Up until this point, it's not been known about that relationship of him being the King of glory.
- 3:05But watch what David says so we can get a better understanding.
- 3:10"The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein.
- 3:21For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
- 3:29Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord?
- 3:33Or who shall stand in his holy place?" We're talking about Jesus now, the King of glory.
- 3:41"He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
- 3:54He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
- 4:03This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob.
- 4:11Lift your hands, O ye gates, and be ye full, lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in." Now remember now, Jesus is coming in as the King of glory, and I'll get you a little deeper understanding in one second.
- 4:32Who is this King of glory?
- 4:35"The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
- 4:40Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in." Who is this King of glory?
- 4:53"The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory." Now, when you say Jesus is the King of glory, when he comes into the temple or comes into a house and his glory is there, it is like a cloud.
- 5:11It's overshadowing everything, but it's so thick that you could even worship.
- 5:18That's the power of understanding who Jesus is.
- 5:22So now we can see a little clearer now that we understand that was Jesus, so now we can understand when we go back a little further, that was Jesus.
- 5:37In the book of Exodus chapter 16 Exodus 16:10 Now we know Jesus is the king of glory, but now we're gonna see him in the Old Testament And it came to pass as Aaron spoke unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that the look forward of the Lord appeared in the cloud.
- 6:08Come on now.
- 6:09And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying...
- 6:12That was Jesus, but don't stop there.
- 6:16Exodus 25 verse 22.
- 6:21We talking about Jesus, the King of Glory.
- 6:25In Exodus 25 verse 22, remember now Jesus is that King of Glory,"And there I will meet with thee, and I will consume with thee, I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandments unto the children of Israel." He said,"I'll meet you, Moses, the children of Israel." Where?
- 6:57In between the cherubim above the mercy seat, Jesus, the King of Glory.
- 7:02I know you're saying to yourself,"Man, come on." Well, guess what?
- 7:06It gets even better.
- 7:08Let's go to book of Leviticus 16:2.
- 7:12Leviticus chapter 16 verse two,"And the Lord said unto Moses," who?
- 7:20The Lord, that was Jesus.
- 7:22"Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the veil before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat." Jesus is that King of Glory.
- 7:442 Samuel 2, 6:2.
- 7:472 Samuel chapter 6 verse two.
- 7:53What is he telling us in his word?
- 7:57He said,"Jesus been around for long as you can remember." So in 2 Samuel chapter 6 verse two, we know that Jesus is that King of Glory.
- 8:11But it was hidden from most people, but not from us, we, we got it now.
- 8:19"And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale to Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God." whose name is called by the name of the Lord of Hosts that dwell between the cherubim.
- 8:41That was Jesus, the King of Glory.
- 8:45In Psalms 80:1, Psalms 80:1, what are we talking about?
- 8:52Jesus, the King of Glory Psalms 80 verse one, we get to see again Jesus, the king of glory.
- 9:05It says,"Give ear, O shepherd of Israel, thou that leadeth Joseph like a flock; thou hast dwelt between the cherubim; shine forth." Why is he showing us now?
- 9:24Because the word was always true.
- 9:27We are just finding out now how true the word really was, really is.
- 9:34In Psalms 99 verse one,"The LORD reigneth.
- 9:40Let the people tremble.
- 9:43He sitteth between the cherubim; let the earth be moved." Why was he hiding this?
- 9:52Because the word says in the last days, knowledge will in- increase.
- 9:582 Chronicles 5:13 Second Chronicles 5:13.
- 10:09What are we talking about?
- 10:10Jesus, the King of glory.
- 10:14Jesus, the King of glory.
- 10:19So in second, in, in 2 Chronicles chapter 5 Verse 13, what do you think we're gonna talk about?
- 10:30We're talking about Jesus, the King of Glory.
- 10:33And the word says,"It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and the singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord.
- 10:52And even they lifted up their voices with the trumpets, and the cymbals, and the instrument of music, and praised the Lord, saying,'For he is good, for his mercy endures forever.' That then the house be were full with cloud, even the house of the Lord." Jesus, the King of Glory.
- 11:21I know you're saying to yourself,"Man, I've never heard it at this level before." It gets even better.
- 11:30You're saying,"How?" Well, stay in the word now,'cause now we're gonna move to James 2:1.
- 11:41New Testament now.
- 11:43James 2:1,"My brethren"- Have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the who?
- 11:57Lord of glory, which respect of persons.
- 12:03Remember now, the Lord of glory, he is so heavy that when he walks into a room, the cloud, which is his glory, comes behind him.
- 12:15When we read in the Book of Exodus, and Jesus is in the cloud leading the children of Israel, it says it was a cloud, what?
- 12:24By day, and fire by night.
- 12:27Well, there was never fire.
- 12:29When the sun go down, his glory shine, and it was the same cloud, but now it appeared to be on fire by his glory.
- 12:38Let me go on.
- 12:38Let me give you some more.
- 12:39Let me give you some more.
- 12:401 Kings 8:10.
- 12:441 Kings chapter 8 verse 10.
- 12:50We talking about Jesus, the King of glory.
- 12:53Jesus, the Lord of glory, same thing.
- 12:58So in 1 Kings chapter 8 verse 10, we know we're talking about Jesus, the King of glory.
- 13:07But now let's get to the word So now in verse 10, it tells us,"And it came to pass when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord." Why?
- 13:30Because Jesus is entering.
- 13:33Nehemiah 9:2.
- 13:35The book of Nehemiah chapter 9 verse 12 He says,"Come on.
- 13:44How do we not know these things?" He's,'cause it's being revealed now.
- 13:44"Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go." The same thing I was just telling you about, that scripture.
- 14:11It tell you Jesus was in the cloud.
- 14:13He led them by day, and at night His glory shined like light to lead the children of Israel.
- 14:19John 1:14.
- 14:22The Book of John 1:14- And the Word was made flesh.
- 14:32That's Jesus.
- 14:33He's the Word, but now he was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as a holy begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
- 14:49Luke 9.
- 14:52Luke chapter 9, verse 28 to 36.
- 14:59Now, I'm, I'm, I'm gonna bring this-- I'm gonna break it down just a little more so you can understand.
- 15:06So I really wanna just deal with Luke 9:31 so you can see it in the Word.
- 15:12"And if they sought him, they would not command them to go out into the deep." Now, now watch this now.
- 15:21You see that's Luke 8:9.
- 15:24Luke 8, verse 31.
- 15:27But in Luke 9, we know that was Jesus, because he the one commanded them.
- 15:32In Luke 9:31, watch what he said Who appeared in glory and spoke of his decease, which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
- 15:49He's telling them Jesus, the king of glory, must die.
- 15:55Jesus, the king of glory, must die.
- 15:58But now what I wanna do, I want to give that to you, but I wanna go back, and you've heard the story, but now you got a whole new outlook because of you understanding that Jesus is the king of glory.
- 16:13So in the transfiguration, in Luke 9, starting with 28 through 36, let's hear the story again, but now you can see it was Jesus, the king of glory.
- 16:29And it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James and went up into a mountain to pray.
- 16:44And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glittering.
- 16:55And behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory and spoke of his decease, which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
- 17:14But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep, and when they were awake, they saw his glory and the two men that stood with him.
- 17:31I wanna share this with you now before I finish on 33.
- 17:34His glory is so heavy And so anointed that when you're in his glory, you are so relaxed that you'll just go to sleep.
- 17:48That's why sometime you'll be reading the word of God, and the next thing you know you went to sleep.
- 17:52Why?
- 17:53His glory is now penetrating you.
- 17:57And it came to pass as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus,"Master, it is good for us to be here, and let us make thee tap three tabernacles.
- 18:13One for thee, one for Moses, and one for Elijah," not knowing what he said.
- 18:20Now, I don't want you to miss that now.
- 18:22What Peter was saying is,"Lord, the Christ, the Messiah, let's make a tabernacle for you." Then he's saying,"Let's make a tabernacle for the law," which is Moses.
- 18:34And he's saying,"Let's make a tabernacle for the prophet Elijah." But watch what God says.
- 18:42While he thus spoke, there came a cloud.
- 18:47Remember, Jesus is the King of Glory, comes in a cloud, and overshadowed them.
- 18:52And they feared as they entered into the cloud.
- 18:57And there came a voice out of the cloud saying,"This is my beloved Son.
- 19:03Hear him." He said not Elijah, not Moses.
- 19:10From the time Jesus hit the scene, the prophets have spoken.
- 19:16From the time Jesus hit the scene, the law that was written has spoken.
- 19:22Now it is time for Jesus to tell us where do we go from here.
- 19:28And there came a voice out of the cloud.
- 19:30What was it saying?
- 19:31"This is my beloved Son.
- 19:34Hear him." And when the voice was passed, Jesus was found alone, and they kept it close.
- 19:45And the two...
- 19:47And they told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.
- 19:54Jesus tell them,"No, you can't tell nobody this prophecy until I am dead." In the Book of Revelation, um, wouldn't it fa- Wouldn't it be ironic that Jesus shows up in the Book of Revelation?
- 20:08Of course.
- 20:10But he has to.
- 20:11In Revelation 21, verse 23, we talking about Jesus, the King of Glory.
- 20:22And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine on it, for the glory of God," we talking about Jesus now,"did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof." It tells you right here, the, uh, glory of the King of Glory, which is Jesus, is gonna be so bright that there's no more need for the sun or the moon.
- 20:55Why?
- 20:56His brightness will shine and light everything.
- 21:01Revelation 1.
- 21:03Let's go back, let's go back.
- 21:05Revelation 1 What are we talking about?
- 21:14To the Revelation 1:9-20, guess who we talking about?
- 21:23Jesus, the king of glory.
- 21:27And watch what John says,"And I, and I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and the presence of," who?
- 21:40"Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos." Now, now, now, I, I don't want you to miss that now.
- 21:49Jesus came down and now is with John,"For the word of God, and for the testimony of," who?
- 22:00"Jesus Christ.
- 22:02I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day," that's Saturday, that's the Sabbath,"and heard behind me a great voi- voice as of a trumpet." When Jesus speaks, it sounds like a trumpet, but yet you can hear it clear.
- 22:18What is it saying?
- 22:20"I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and what thou seest, write it in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephr- uh, Ephesus, and unto Sm- Smyrna, and Pergamos, and unto Thyiatis, and to Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
- 22:48And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me.
- 22:54And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks.
- 23:01And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man," that's Jesus,"clothed with a garment down to his foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
- 23:16His head and his ha- his head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eye was as a flame of fire." Watch this now.
- 23:30"And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace, and his voice as the sound of many waters.
- 23:42And he had in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
- 23:59And when I saw him," he said...
- 24:01Remember now, John is seeing Jesus that he walked with for three and a half years, but he says,"When I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead.
- 24:16And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me,'Fear not.
- 24:23I am the first and the last.
- 24:27I am he that liveth and was dead.
- 24:32And behold, I am alive forevermore, amen.
- 24:39And have the keys of hell and of death.
- 24:44Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.
- 24:54The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, the seven golden candlesticks.
- 25:04The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven candlesticks that thou seest are the seven churches.'" Now, I know you heard that, but now let's break this down just a little bit what you just read.
- 25:26When Jesus is standing behind John, he is so large that now you can see the seven churches he's holding in his right hand.
- 25:40You can see the men of God that's preaching the word, that's the Spirit, he's holding them in- Come on now.
- 25:52Now you're getting a visual of the creation that God did He's doing all of these things to show us.
- 26:04John is seeing him now in his glory, and that's why when he saw Jesus, he fell to his feet as a dead man.
- 26:13Why?
- 26:14His glory's so powerful, he's realizing,"I am looking at the God Almighty that I..." Ooh, let me, let me break that down now.
- 26:24I know a lot of people don't even see that now.
- 26:26He said, he's thinking in his mind,"I am looking at God," and because he's a Jew, you know their saying,"As you see God, you must die." But he wasn't gonna die.
- 26:41He's just seeing Jesus in his glory.
- 26:45I know you saw in there amen.
- 26:47Amen is Jesus' name.
- 26:51He is the amen.
- 26:52We keep going around,"Amen, amen, amen." Well, amen.
- 26:56You're not the true and the witness, uh, true and the faithful witness.
- 27:00Jesus is.
- 27:01He confirms his word, not you.
- 27:05You can agree or not agree.
- 27:07The word says if everybody agree and it goes against the word, it says,"Let every man be a liar and the word be true." Jesus, the King of Glory.
- 27:21Now, you got a better understanding.
- 27:24Now, you see Jesus in the cloud leading the children of Israel for 40 years, in 40 y- for 40 years in the wilderness in the cloud.
- 27:37It was a cloud by day and the same cloud by night, but it looked like fire because of his glory shined when the sun went down.
- 27:46That's the word.
- 27:48Jesus, the King of Glory.
