- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now, it's time to find out what's going on behind the walls of UC Health Training Center.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get a little colder, changing to the seasons.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos were able to change some of there.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: losing ways, at least some money and I football, huh?
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: Man, it's what?
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: Just of 72 hours removed from a Monday night football.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: Don't want to call the slug fest.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: I blow out a blow out, the Denver Broncos did something.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: They were supposed to do.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: They came out ahead.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: a million to three hundred twenty eight to three victory against the Cincinnati bangles who were of course without Joe Burrow.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: How we feeling after a Monday night football a blowout prime time game like that, Tom.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm feeling pretty good because they they needed to win for one and they went out and did it and they did it in pretty good fashion.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they it was a blowout and you can't really ask for You know, anything more from a team that's supposed to blow out a team without their starting quarterback and a pretty weak defense and an offensive line that
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's pretty suspect.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: So they went out and took care of business.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: So you got to feel good about that.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: There were other things to take care of as well that you could look at and they did as well.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: So running game being one.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a few good things to look at from the money night wind and be happy about.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we got to get to some takeaways from Monday night football.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to take you through the official injury report.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's a short week for your Denver Broncos.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to be playing the second football game in six days.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: Tough man on some of those prime time games ran players definitely are not a fan coach is not a fan.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: I am not a fan.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's too much too soon for the Fordo Philadelphia Eagles, but what is up Broncos country?
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: We are often running who are we?
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we are MHI.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's Thomas Hall.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: I am Luke Patterson.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: We take you through it every Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: Mountain in Broncos country.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: We got a lot to get to.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: We've got those dang Philadelphia Eagles Tom.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: They're just waiting waiting in the in the city of brotherly love for the Denver Broncos to come in and Denver getting back to two and two and officially going to an owe at home.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's something that's being talked about enough right now.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not celebrating still, right?
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's Wednesday.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm HIV Wednesday.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not celebrating Monday night anymore.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's on
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: you got to figure out the Philadelphia Eagles who could be the best football team in 2025 just like they were in 2024.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: So we got a heavy show we got to get into, but Tom, how you feeling?
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: Two in a row at home.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: I know I know.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: Don't tell me, oh and two on the road, but home games.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: Talk to me about the importance of winning these games.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: These must-abs, if you will.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: Mile high magic is starting to come back.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I would hope so.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_02]: That would be great.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, you have to take care of business at home.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: And there have been a few times where the Broncos have went undefeated at home in their past.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying that they're going to this time, but that's a huge advantage.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: If you can take care of business at home and split some on the road, you're, you're going to make it into the playoffs.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: So that's what they need to do.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: And I know that they're on to on the road to close losses.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: both of those could have been wins.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I'm feeling good about the home record so far.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: But Bonax has won six of his last six at home.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think it is.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: So it's looking good.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: I can't say the mile high magic is back.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: I remember some things that happened at mile high stadium that you just couldn't explain.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: You know, how did that happen, led to a win, and I haven't seen that yet in the new stadium, but hopefully winning will bring some of that magic back.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: winning brings everything back in the you're talking about something real special time and we can't just throw that term around right well my high magic everybody Cincinnati bangles getting their asses with their money and I've hooked now no we can't quite go there but you got to start somewhere right you have to start building these foundations you'll want your two most winnable games at home this season right arguably unless the giants come to town for meet and greet right
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but yeah, I had to win these games.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: So when I say that the Broncos finally did something they were supposed to do, that feels a little bit good.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm going to get after bow and everybody's happy with how opposed to an embo played quite well, but I still have a bone to pick with bone next.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: You probably know what it is.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: Tom will get to that.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: here in the show, but let's say what's up to some of the friends of MHI, string eye and exclusive member of the MHI community head on over to YouTube, become one yourself, good evening Broncos Country, do we have a good enough offensive line to run the ball effectively against the Eagles?
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: string eye, I don't mean to be telling any tales out of school.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: but my keys to victory are going to be heavily focused on the run game specifically the Philadelphia Eagles run defense and it's a little surprising when you look at the numbers but don't get caught up in the stats the Eagles give away roughly 126 yards per game but it's a really
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: low yards per carry average impact plays or even less this is a Philadelphia Eagles defensive line that is going to be in a slug fest with the Broncos online and we will talk about Luke Wattenberg.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: here in a few minutes as well because I get my I told you so moment with everybody here in Broncos country got to figure it out strings on to something Tom the the run game it was critical how come it took until JK Dobbins became a Denver Bronco to finally get a 100 yard Russia with Sean Payton is something changing in this Broncos offense.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_02]: Well, hopefully he's committing more to the run, which is what he did this last game.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: He actually ran it almost as many times as he passed it, which was interesting because that hasn't happened very often under his tenure.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_02]: So that was great.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: And to answer string guys question, I don't think they're going to be able to run up the middle behind Luke Wattenberg.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: Very effectively, but they can mix and match some maybe some stretch plays or something to get some space But it's going to be tough, man.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be tough running against the the Eagles defensive line But just because it's tough doesn't mean you don't stop trying you still got to be balanced and run the ball if Sean Peyton gets away from the run early.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be an ugly game
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: Look, the Eagles are a beatable team.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: I know that they're the Super Bowl champs.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: I know that they've got the raining off into player the year.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: I know they have arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the game today in jail and hurt GM, right?
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: What better GM out there is there right now than how we wrote them with the Philadelphia Eagles?
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: So I get it.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Check, check, and check.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: a Philadelphia Eagles team is a little bit different, and I'm not saying that we shouldn't respect them, but the Broncos shouldn't fear this team.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be tough.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be intimidating out there in in Philly.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Those fans are nasty and they get up for their birds, but the Broncos can absolutely come in here and shock the world and we will talk about that.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: here in just a little bit.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: Stu McPeak, what's up, Stu?
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a minute, man.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: A mile high salute to you and yours.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: I see you doing some fun traveling partner.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully you're taking care and enjoying life.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: What's up, fellows?
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos have their work cut out formed.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: They need to bring their A game.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: We will need all three faces to perform, especially Bo, Nicks.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Tom, as you know, Stu McPieke is pretty high on Bo, Nicks, who is 29 for 42, 326 passing yards, two touchdowns, including a rushing touchdown to start the game.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Bo must have been reading my keys to victory over at mahahello.com.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: It was one of them from last week, Tom, as you know.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: Bo does so much better when he's improvising, when he can showcase his athletic talents.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: Not when Sean Peyton is forcing him to overthink in the middle of a collapsing pocket because Luke Wattenburg can't play center in this league.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't understand it, Tom.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see more bonus operating on boots.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: The run game is finally established.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: What does that do?
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: finally opens up play action.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to see these bubble screens anymore.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sick of it.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's time to turn the page.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: Bonyx the athlete is certainly better right now than Bonyx the quarterback.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: I'll take it's winning combination.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I would just want to add one thing to Stu's comment here.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: They really, yeah.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: they have to bring their air game and you're right, they've got to perform well on all three phases, but they've got to stop shooting themselves in the foot, even though they were blowing out the Bengals, there are still far too many penalties in that game, and against a good team like the Philadelphia Eagles, you can't have those penalties.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: So not only do they have to bring their whole all three phases, they have got to be mentally disciplined.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: No dumb penalties, no, you know, the interception in the end zone was ridiculous throw.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: You don't make that throw.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so things like that, they've got to clean up.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's how you're going to beat the eagles.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_02]: If you go in there and you're playing sloppy like you have, I don't think you have a chance.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: Ralph Brace girdle, thank you so much, Stu.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: Appreciate all the support over on YouTube, brother, go Broncos.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Ralph Brace girdle way in and over on Facebook.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: What's up, Ralph?
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Got that stinkin' good, Mark Slair, it's 69 years ago on man, one of my all-time favorites.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: Sthings the man, he knows football, he calls it like he sees it man, really, really respect everything that Mark Slair does for the NFL and he's just a great dude.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Luke and Tom, what is up guys?
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: It feels great to be the bad team with style points instead of playing to their level.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: Ralph must be referencing a duo of Broncos wide receivers Tom.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's something I haven't been able to say all year because as you know, it's been let's feature Cortland Sutton for two games and then Troy Franklin for one game and then nobody and then Adam Troutman.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: Now, wasn't the case, we spread the ball out.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: All three guys, Troutman, Mims, and Sutton, got in the end zone.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: I hear you, Mims, it was technically a rush on that jet sweep.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: But finally, it was nice to see Sean Peyton implement more than one playmaker at the wide receiver position.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, memes had a great game on offense man.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: I actually think he was the MVP of the offense Sutton another good game.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: I mean they took it to the the defense of the bingles a bingles defense is pretty pretty poor I mean they they spent all their money trying to keep their wide receivers, but they just don't have anybody pass it to now so
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly Ralph.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it wasn't one of those things where they played poorly and it up with a win.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they went out and beat him pretty soundly.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, 40 to 15 or 28 to three is a butt kicking and that's what they did.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_02]: They went out there and they really kicked their butts and that's, that's what's important.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_02]: That's what you've got to see as this team starts to get better.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: Is are they not only beating the teams that they're supposed to, but when
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: Are they really like taking care of business well or like you said, playing at a level and they did.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully that's a sign for the future.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_02]: They've got a big game coming up that's going to tell everyone a lot more about what this team is made of.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully they can keep that momentum going into the into Philadelphia.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: Things got better and they got going relatively quickly for the Broncos.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it's not as quick as we would all like, but I don't know about everybody else.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm starting to get a little PTSD in the beginning of the game.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: I had flashbacks the last year in Cincinnati where Riley Moss was just getting torched by T-higgins.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know the same game, more T-higgins went over a hundred yards and got three touchdowns.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: There was a couple of feelings that maybe we were going that route and then Riley Moss Vance Joseph in this Bronco secondary completely cleaned it up.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: Riley Moss finishes the game allowing two catches on six total targets Tom 25 yards allowed is running mate, pass her 10.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: Raining defensive player of the year did even better despite the very first play.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: They flag PS2, right?
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: They flag our guy.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even see it and then till you go back and you look at the film a little bit And I'm like, come on now.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: We can't give the raining defensive player of the year just a little bit of room
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, PS2, he didn't need any help from the refs, but Jamar Chase held the just 23 yards.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: Jamar had more production at LSU against an Alabama Patzer tan that he has had the last couple matchups he's faced PS2 in.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: Tom Riley Moss has got to be feeling good.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: You need him.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's all hands on deck when it comes to a Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver room that can also get after it.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was great.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, not there wasn't a single receiver for the Bengals that went over 35 yards.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, that's a secondary took care of business now again.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: they're going against a backup quarterback in Jake Browning, but there were tons of people when Jake Browning took over that like said, oh, this is a great backup.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know, they're not going to lose a whole lot when they go from burrow to Browning.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't buying it, but he's still a good quarterback.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: So they need to pack themselves on the back.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, you know, he's a good for a backup.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: I should say that they did.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that was that secondary, uh, shut them down at a hundred and twenty six yards
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: it was a dominant performance.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the thing that I'm talking about is those players should feel confident going into next week that they can do the same thing.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what I'm hoping happens, but it will be a tougher test.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's so funny in your face to all the Jake Browning fans out there.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: I got that immediately a couple of weeks ago, right?
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Burrow goes down and I'm sitting there pondering things before bed and I'm wondering, hmm,
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: If this incidentally bangles picked up the call or the phone to call the Broncos and inquire about Jared Stitham, I wonder what's on his opinions would be on that?
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder what the going rate would be for a serviceable quarterback like Jared Stitham.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, Twitter guy gets on there.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no way.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: We don't wait on eat him.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then you get what you get out of Jake Browning, right?
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: I see on the sports books, people continue to bring it up.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: the bangles to trade for another quarterback.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: Can we please pray and hope that that is Russell Wilson.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: I demand to see Russell Wilson play in a Cincinnati Bengals uniform because seeing him cry behind Jackson Dart giving a speech in the locker room wasn't enough.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: I need to see that man's suit up and start for your city bagels and we've got to get after it.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: Phil coming in, always getting after it over on Facebook, good evening, Thomas Luke and Scott, we need to get the ball running going period.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: They can be beat.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: They are good, but they can be beat.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Remember the trip east we made last year and how things turned out.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: Phil is, of course, referencing that road trip.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: What was it?
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: Three, four game winning streak.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: It all started in Tampa.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: And then it was that weird rainy game and New Jersey.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder what the travel plans are going to be like for the Broncos because Phil's on something here.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Tom, as you know, the rest of the Broncos country knows, the start on the road for Denver has been horrible.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: They're 0 and 2.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: All right, going to Indy, going to the chargers.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well, now you're going to Philly.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: You're playing arguably one of the top dogs in the defending camp in the NFL.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then you go to London for another date with those damn jets.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think the Broncos are going to leave straight from Philly?
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: I know sometimes teams do that to try to get acclimated.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen that.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: What's your opinion on that old thing, Tom?
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think it's contingent on a winner or a loss?
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think Sean generally likes to get ahead of these sorts of things.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: I could see Sean saying pack your bags, boys.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a busy two weeks.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they might.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you never know, you never know what Sean paint is going to pull.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: It would be nice to come back to the facility for a couple of days, get some of that treatment for the players that need it, and then then fly instead of just jumping on a plane after a, you know, and flying to London and not being in your own facility.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, maybe the facilities there are great, and they don't need to.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: They are great.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: Remember,
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: Hamilton, Denver Broncos owner, he's over there.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: Surely he can host the team, right?
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Get the the queen.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: We get the guard.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: We got the whole thing going.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: You see the all-mpanner ownership group.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: They're pretty popular wherever they go.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: They spared no expense.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: Tom, I think they'll be all right.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: They got ice bags.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't know.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: You asked me the question that I have no idea.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: We will find out.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think if it's a win,
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: They may come home, but if it's a loss, they may just be like, yeah, we're headed on we're headed on to England, you know, I'm always saying Sean reminds me of Mike Shannon right so many in just that old school kind of thinking and the understands what motivates guys and when you say that time it reminds me of Mike Shannon with with Hat days.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: You win.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: You get a hot day on Monday.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: No helmets.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: A little bit of a lighter practice.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: You lose.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: You're coming in with those helmets and shells and then we're going to get after it.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: And these guys are simple creatures.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: It does make me wonder in route to London.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: Who's doing hi needs this here.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: I know it's not boat.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: You wouldn't catch boat dead doing it.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's got to be garables.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's got to be someone who was there, someone who's trying to make a funny, and it just makes so much sense that Garrett would do the hide needs this year.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Shanahan was really strict after a loss because if it was a win, you didn't have to fly back.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_02]: You could stay if you wanted to, but on the lost, you flew back with the team.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember when they lost to the giants, Charles Davis was supposed to be on Sesame Street.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: Sesame Street.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_02]: He had to fly back and then fly back out to New York to go do Sesame Street.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: The first time a professional athlete was going to be on Sesame Street or a professional football player, I think.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, nope, you're coming home and you're buying your own way out there.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, when it's a loss, there's different coaches are a lot different than after a win.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what's in store for the team.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't heard anything either way.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's also a dreaded East Coast game, right?
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos don't do well, particularly on the East Coast.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: I know things are trying to change with Sean Payton, and it just, it feels that way.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: Every time the East Coast game comes up, regardless of the quarterback, regardless of the decade, even.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like, oh, man.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos have such a hard time playing in the East Coast.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: It is interesting when you look at the Philadelphia Eagles, they will be one of five NFC opponents that the Broncos do play this year.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, the Broncos are playing the entire NFC East, and then you got the Green Bay Packers coming to Denver.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: I believe late November, early December.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's always a great matchup with the Packers, but let's talk, injury report today.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: with the Denver Broncos as well as the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: We're also going to get into Vic Fangio officially commenting on your Broncos quarterback bow next.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: Former head coach.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos head coach.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Vic Fangio.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, there will be
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: Who've had that title in this game Tom, how weird is that?
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: You got Sean Peyton, Vance Joseph, and Vic Fangeo on Sunday, three men who have all had one time been the head coach of the Denver Broncos.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's you can't make it up as you look to the injury report.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Benino's officially listed with a wrist, he was a full participant, so why if you brow on that one Broncos country.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: Alex Singleton, Tom's favorite player, still dealing with that thumb injury.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's alright, he was a full participant as well.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: Jonah Ellis, ribs, he was limited today, marvelous Marvin Mims.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: We just got on talking about the,
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: season game that he had, hip slash ankle.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: He was limited today, and the Nate Atkins tied an in-concussion protocol.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: He did not practice.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: At first glance, Tom a lot of folks would instantly go to Marvin Mims, because this man's availability is crucial.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: for the Broncos offense to get things going, especially against a nasty filly defensive line who can get after it, the linebackers can get after it.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: Secondary for filly's actually a little vulnerable right now, and I'll tease that a little bit in my keys to victory this Friday, or this Thursday morning.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: I look at this list, Tom, Nate Adkins, concussion protocol.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: That concerns me the most because when, it's seriously, it concerns me the most.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: You know why?
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: Because I told you show.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: I told you show, I told you show, I told you show.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: Luke Wattenberg has not been an adequate center for the Broncos the last two seasons.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Sean Payton continues to double and triple down.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: Things are gonna get so much better this year.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: Let's look at continuity.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: Let's look at, you know, how well he prepares.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: How hard he practices.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: He's the second year starter, a fifth round pick from 2022, and we're letting him hold this offense hostage.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_00]: I do not get it.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: Five penalties, five on Monday night football.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, two of them got declined, but two holds, two in,
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: A ineligible man downfield.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: He's constantly getting blown off the ball.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: The reason I'm upset that Nate Adkins is in concussion protocol is because him and Alex Pelchewski were helping the Broncos offensive line get things going.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: Luke Wattenberg meets all the help he can get.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back Adam Prentice, fullback.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: He get combined snaps from those three guys.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: Alex Pelchewski, Nate
- 22:37[SPEAKER_00]: I need all hands on deck, Luke Wattenberg, desperately needs help.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: Don't come to me and say Alex Forsyth needs to be inserted into this game.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's a short week.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: You hardly have any continuity with your current center.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: The last thing Sean's going to do is go to both old flame, if you will, from Oregon, his old college roommate with what days to go.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't get it, Tom.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they're going to make any changes at center for the foreseeable future.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're committed to Watsonburg and I don't I don't think they're going to make changes.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, not unless he continues to play bad for at least another three weeks.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're committed to him.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_02]: They like the continuity.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: They like how they play together even though he is the weakest link.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember atkins going in to get check for a concussion.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, when I watched the game, maybe I missed it.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: So it was a bit of a surprise to see him there in a concussion.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he was, I know what happened.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: He was actually banging his head against the wall after he had to watch Luke Wattenberg commit five penalties on film.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's what happened.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_02]: got you.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_02]: Overall, it's a pretty decent injury report.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_02]: In the fact that you can get Malcolm Roach back to if he's healthy, that's going to really start to make this injury, the injuries to the bruncus that they were suffering early on, feel a lot better.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: Now, we still got to wait for green law to get back, but other than that, it looks like they're starting to get healthy again.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: So, knock on wood that continues and they're starting to get back to full health.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's trying to trigger me, aren't you?
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm already all fired up about Luke Wattberg and you just have to drop Drake Greenwells and they have like that time.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know how to get that blood pressure up.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry for it.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: Stu coming back in again, man.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: Another very generous 1999 over on YouTube.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Stu.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: Stu knows something about traveling and he's Stu's way and in guys listen the jet lag.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's real.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: I just flew to Iceland, Scotland, London, then back to the USA and then right back to Sydney.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: I've been trying to catch up ever since.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_00]: Just one flight to the UK messed me up.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: So the travel and time change is real.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: Stu, I feel you are on that man.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still trying to catch up from Monday night football.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: You're a beast.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: You're flying all over the world, man, and trying to get up in a matter of weeks, dude.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I salute you, your tough.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: I know your job requires a lot of traveling, man.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: So thank you for weighing in.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate this aspect, because unless you're doing it, it's not something we we think about all the time, unless it's you, right?
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: Travel, travel plans, and how inconvenient they could be.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, the Broncos aren't going to exactly be slumming it on
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: You look at these guys and you try to keep things as consistent as you can every week.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_00]: And isn't that the trick if your Sean Payton, seriously?
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's really not the extra to knows when you start looking at the management of the football team.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Sean's got like a million jobs.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to be the play caller.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to be HR.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's, you know, he's got a managed personality, he's got to manage a lot on top of managing not only just the whole aspect of the team, but team decisions.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: What do we, when do we leave?
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: Where do we stay?
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: All these sorts of things.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, Sean's not on the phone calling the Marriott.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: But he's got to help organize some of these things.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: I really, really value this one, Stu.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: This is big because any advantage can help.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I wonder what concessions are being made this week, Stu, right?
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, are they going to leave a day earlier?
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to try to stay a day later in Denver, sleep one more night in their day.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure everybody's sour still trying to get that treatment from Monday night football.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be tough, man, to go right from Philly across the pond to play the jets.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: I hear ya, it's the jets, but I can't stand these lending games, man.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: They give me a bad feeling, bad jujur, all the way, stay away.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and the nice thing is what would help what definitely helps us to stay consistent so whatever they've been doing is probably what they're going to continue to do now I know London is going to throw a wrench into that they're going to have to change up some stuff but the you know with all the decisions after you make if you stay consistent you do the same thing so on Monday you come back and you get in the get in the tub or Tuesday or whatever that routine is you need to stick with it that way you're not.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: You know, trying to change stuff up in the middle because one thing is football players or athletes they like to do the same thing over and over again and if it's been working they don't want to change it so that's the way I see it and yeah London is going to like I said it's going to throw a wrench to that but they're going to try and do the same thing that they do every time after when or after a loss and that's what we're going to see probably you know this week same same thing that they've been doing.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: I love the shock value from Jason coming in there.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: You got to trade Bobo is inconsistent.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, Bobo had his best game.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm on the knife of all of it against the Cincinnati Bengals.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: I hear you.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: But the reason I pulled that up, why not to not to blast Jason for having an opinion that's different than mine, but instead to pick my bone with Bobo next time.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: Explain to me when it is ever acceptable to throw an interception in the opponents' end zone.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't get it.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: The turnovers.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: The turnovers.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: The turnovers.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: We I can't excuse it.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: You don't excuse it.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: We don't do that here at M.A.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: Change.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: But it's driving me crazy.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know what it is.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: But clearly, it's proven in the past season and a quarter, they can run the football.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: Hell, he scored the first touchdown of the game with his legs.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: But we're still just trying to jam these square pegs into these round holes.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: The turnovers.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: They got to stop.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they didn't lose you the game.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Did it really matter?
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes it mattered.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know why I mattered because it's becoming a habit.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: You got to stop turning over the football every single game.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah and it was a bad throw to it was just I mean he I don't know what he was thinking and what he saw but what he saw was was not right he threw it right to the linebacker that was in the middle there I mean in that's those situations if you're going to throw the ball and I know it was fourth down you had to force it in there but try and put it where your guy can get it or you know it goes out of bounds but
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't do that.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: He threw it right to the defender.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: It looked ugly and you know in a different if it was an incomplete pass on fourth and one they would have been starting with their backs against the the end zone, not out at the 20 like they were so there were a few things that need to be cleaned up and he's got to clean up some of those decisions because that was that was a bad one.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what he was looking at when he threw that ball.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's frustrating right and yeah, I guess the nice thing is as frustrated as we are on a Wednesday night here in MHI with the rest of Broncos country, by the way, imagine how frustrated Bow is.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: Bo doesn't seem content to me in the least bit, and I love it.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: I want Bo to be moody, I want him to be angry, and I want him to be a perfectionist.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: Who does that sound like?
- 29:56[SPEAKER_00]: It sounds like some Hall of Fame quarterback's, the names that everybody usually repeats, and, you know, John's a little bit of an outlier, because,
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think John could have a really great time while also being a dog of a worker, right in John L. So a little bit of a different cat, but I don't know.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: Film a gloften wind in over on Facebook, speaking of London, and anybody can know a good place to get tickets to the game.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's talk about that, too.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, not to overlook Philly, but just it's cool to see Broncos country travel.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to see some brave, brave souls in those Philadelphia, Eagle, Stan's Tom, man.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to see some Broncos orange in those Philly stands and it's Philly fans can get after it.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm, I, that's no joke.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: I, I'm not an Eagles fan at all.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: There are very few stadiums that I would consider maybe not wearing orange in, but crazy things happen at these football games.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: The Eagles have a awesome home field advantage.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: They love their football team.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be getting after Sean Payton and Bob
- 31:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I only have a couple of pieces of advice for you about London.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: I know I've seen some folks that I follow.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_02]: So Michael McWade, I think with Broncos Europe or you can might my friend call him from cork on Twitter, you can call him crown and you can maybe ask him he might be able to point you in the right direction to get some, but I know they were, they were talking about getting some tickets to folks.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: So look those two folks up on Twitter.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: They might be able to help you.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: Which you just call Keith, he's our, he's our resident.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_02]: He might have some, some good, good ideas, too.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: We got to call our guy, man, our, he's our resident, you know, across the pond, football, extraordinary.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_00]: You can read Keith.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me his work over.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I had a lot of that.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, it's always grinding.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_00]: Tom, I mean, yeah.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: By the time I'm in bed, by the time I'm up, he spit three or four articles out, man.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_00]: Really, really impressive.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_00]: Keith, another friend of the show.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_00]: We appreciate you.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: Love you, man.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I should say that to you, right?
- 31:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a little proud.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_00]: She sometimes about the London Games.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: It is truly cool to see Broncos Country represent an all over the world, man.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's special, and it definitely should make Broncos Country get excited for that London game in a couple of weeks.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_00]: Cody Dubbs, man.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: Good, a friend of the show, exclusive
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like the defense should be ready to play against the Eagles.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: They had some well-needed time to rest.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't on the field for 40 minutes against the Bengals.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Cody's onto something here.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos time of possession outweighed Cincinnati's by a whole quarter.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: Tom, one of my takeaways over my little little doc, Tom.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_00]: It was an impressive outing for Denver, but let's be honest, the Cincinnati Bengals quit.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: that viral clip of Nick Bonito and Jonathan Cooper who seem like they don't rush the passer Tom I don't know if you know this they're in a race to get to the quarterback yes too Nick Bonito of course you're guy Jonathan Cooper my guy to watch those two tee off on a quarterback is truly special it gives Broncos country those familiar goose bumps
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: 10 years ago, it's an anniversary year time.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a sucker for the details.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's cool to see Nick Benito and Jonathan Cooper do their thing as past Russian arts.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and Jonathan Cooper.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_02]: It looks more explosive than he's ever been to me.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: I'm watching that game on Monday.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_02]: He looked like he was getting off the ball faster than I'd ever seen.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_02]: I know Nick, but need to get off the ball quick, and he always has really, but
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: strength of this defense on the forefront.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_02]: So you can't let the Philadelphia Eagles just run it down your throat.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to stop the run.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to get jail and hurts into passing situations.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: So the past rush can actually do some damage.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: And if the Broncos can't stop the run, they're not going to win this game.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's all there is to it.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_00]: four and a half stacks for Nick Bonito thus far two and a half for Jonathan Cooper.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_00]: Denver's past rushing policy, man.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: They get after it.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be interesting to see.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_00]: what they do with Jalen Hertz, you can't rush him in the traditional sense, can you?
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Jalen Hertz is so athletic.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: He loves the move around.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: He not only can manipulate the the pocket, he can move the entire pocket.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_00]: He special, man.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: He can't over pursue with Jalen Hertz.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: You have to have some sort of
- 34:41[SPEAKER_00]: perimeter boundary if you will.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: You got to seal that edge.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if Zach Allen's going to try to just hang around the line of Scrimmage and wait.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_00]: Can you have a defensive lineman potentially spy the quarterback a little bit because those inside line backers are in trouble Tom.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what else to tell you.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're in trouble.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: And the Philadelphia Eagles know it.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_00]: One of my keys will also focus on the Broncos line backers in a way that
- 35:07[SPEAKER_00]: can get by use a cheat code if you will to combat jail and hurts in the Philadelphia Eagles offensive.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_00]: You would believe it, Tom.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you would or not.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: Sake Juan Barclay has yet to get a 100 yard rushing game.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_00]: this season and Philadelphia Eagle fans need to remember where that came from because your team is damn good.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care if Sake Juan hasn't got 100 yards yet.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: Try 38 games like we have here in Broncos country in way to while.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to just find three out of the four games.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: He scored a touchdown in rushing touchdown.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: That is, but here's what's interesting, Tom.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: is way better than his yard per carry average.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_00]: Say Quan's being used a lot more in the passing game defenses are starting to stack the box and remember the Philadelphia Eagles offensive line is a little bit beat up too.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_00]: So for everybody in Philadelphia saying what's wrong with say Quan?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'd say absolutely nothing.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: And the Broncos defense can't go into this game thinking oh there's something wrong with say Quan we're gonna feast.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: No you need to pick your poison.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_00]: When it comes to sitcom Barkley and you have got to take away the run, he will be just as dynamic in the past.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_00]: Make the Philadelphia Eagles beat you in the passing game, Vance Joseph.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_00]: If Vance Joseph cannot do that,
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: This game is over.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_00]: You already know what it's like with a run defense that can't stop an MVP can it and say quen Barclay can't have it.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: Tom just can't know and our the Broncos linebackers are going to be able to match well in the passing able to take one Barclay either.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_02]: And we've seen their ability or inability to match up with anybody out in the in past coverage for the most part.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: So they have got to figure that out, but yeah, you're right.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_02]: The biggest key for this game, because like I said, if Philadelphia can, they can run the ball effectively, they are going to keep running it all night long.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_02]: And that's going to be a long night for the Broncos.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, stopping the run and then figuring out a way to contain, say, quan in the passing game as much as possible by the using, I don't know what they're going to use, because they can't use the inside linebackers, because they're going to get burned.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to, you're going to bring Hufung up, and he's going to have the most,
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: challenging game this season because he has to be the ultimate balance maker if you will.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's got an issue balance in run support while also trying to figure out how to support the inside linebackers.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, seriously, that is it.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: And speaking of defensive seconder, can we get branded Jones some more flowers, man, who by the way, there's quietly playing even better than he did last year in 2024.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: We don't talk about that man enough.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_00]: We need to give him flowers just like Kevin gives us our flowers over on YouTube you guys think that pap riot should be getting more playing time I've got a gut feeling he's gonna be a star Kevin you and me both and you know why because he's willing to block how about that Tom
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: a beautiful block that's sprung Marvin Mims for the jet sweet touchdown.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_00]: I love to see that because if you have a receiver that's willing to do the dirty work, just imagine what they're going to do to get the football.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: Sean Payton had to have been taking some victory laps, watching the film with this coach is saying, this is why we want our receivers blocking.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_00]: This is why we teach this technique.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: I loved it.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how many more opportunities he's going to get.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it necessarily elevates him above a Troy Franklin, definitely not a Marvin Mims, but Troy Franklin had a bit of a down game against the bangles, right?
- 38:46[SPEAKER_00]: He was a bit of a dud and you can read risers followers over at malhahoodle.com, a bit of a dud from Troy Franklin who is also looking to rebound against the Eagles, but if Troy's going to keep dropping those balls,
- 38:57[SPEAKER_00]: maybe Kevin's on to something Tom and Pat Bryant will just elevate himself on the Dup chart.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what I was going to say.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, who are you going to take snaps away from to give Pat Bryant more reps?
- 39:09[SPEAKER_02]: Because for the first few games, Franklin was the star on the offense, and he had a little bit of a rough game last week, but everybody was talking about this is the
- 39:21[SPEAKER_02]: number two wide receiver on the on the field in Franklin.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_02]: And then you got memes, you got Sutton.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: So it's kind of like who are you going to take those snaps away from?
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to get your tight ends more involved.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: So for my perspective, you have the luxury to kind of move him in a little bit more slowly.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_02]: But you're right, he does look like a good player.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to be able to figure out a way to get him out there and get him some more looks on offense.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_02]: But you know, you don't want to be very strategic about that and not take snaps away from the folks that have been producing.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's tough, man, because you don't necessarily have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to the Broncos wide receivers, but you have a lot more talent than you've ever had.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's just how do you put everything together.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's truly the trick.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's fit.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's all about fit.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: In the NFL Clayton here on Oberon Facebook guys make sure you hit the like button share on now all platforms subscribe if you have not done so already Here's another guy one of the friends of the shows one of our guys taught Austin Dorf and exclusive MHH community member keep to leave with special because he wasn't just talented He was a great leader for out of two.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you guys saw this man keep to lead took in a bit of shot of a shot on Tyre Kill
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: Tibery killed nasty injury, right?
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: Never wish ill or injury or harm on anybody.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_00]: Ever.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting to me that Tibery killed was
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, his response can we just call it odd.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: Can we call it odd?
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to judge it.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody responds to pain differently into trauma differently, but to see a keep to leave come out and fly or a shot on social media, like yo, if you do these things on your personal life, I'm not going to feel bad for you.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: Just a little bit of the attitude there that taught his referencing.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_00]: You know where you stand with a keep to leave at all times.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: Ask my crap treat.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for sure.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, again, like I don't want people to get injured, but I don't, I have no, no sadness in my heart for tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired, tired,
- 41:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just can't respect him.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: You look at, you know, I was just talking to my wife about this.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, listen to me on the chiefs and I'm like, oh, yeah, I'm then they jettison into Miami.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: Where he's done.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody likes, like, Thai regulars this major star.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: What is he done?
- 42:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's joining the Miami Dolphins.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, I hear it.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's the Dolphins.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time, he's the player that was going to change the franchise around, right?
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: I can tell you what Kansas City did without Tyre Hill.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's all on Pat Mahomes' hand.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's unbelievable to me to see the kind of love that this bad guy, let's just call him, right?
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: A bad guy continues to get, then you get good guys, right?
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think the Broncos right now are getting enough credit for having good dudes.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_00]: JK Dobbins is not only the Broncos undisputed leader at the running back position, not only the first 100 yard russia,
- 42:37[SPEAKER_00]: to get after a defense for Sean Peyton in the Sean Peyton era fluent Spanish Tom.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see that?
- 42:44[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_00]: Tom was able to mix it up with ESPN deportess.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely loved it.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, he was he gives a great great comment at the end, too, about hopefully that you love me at the end of the season or whatever.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, it seems like a good dude, man.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm rooting for him.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: I want him to stay healthy and keep turning out the yards because he so far looks like a great
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's true.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: Take you out of JK Dobbins sincerely Broncos country.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_00]: We love a man.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome, dear.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: You fit right in.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's gritty.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: I love to that he's willing to share with our rookie.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, I'm talking about RJ Harvey none other than Quad Zilla.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the NFL young fella got his own touch down what a hundred all-purpose yards cool to see both of these guys sharing success It's equally cool when you see a good guy like JK Dobbins who's like absolutely on well enough and we're teammates
- 43:39[SPEAKER_00]: Right, and ultimately, they're competing for the same job, and the writing's on the wall with the second round pick whose name is Quadzilla.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_00]: I respect JK Dobbins.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm happy here.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: Just like Portland Sutton, man.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I got to give it to court dude.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: Court's got to be one of the most positive guys on the Broncos day in and day out, man.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: He seems like a steady guy and yask around that building a little bit.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you that's what you give a court.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_00]: And he's consistently himself.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_00]: He knows his truth.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's a good dude as well.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: How about the little lot, the wives?
- 44:10[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see that?
- 44:11[SPEAKER_00]: The wives matching.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_00]: Mrs. Nix and Mrs. Sutton, each wearing that brother's picture, right, of Bow and Cortland and the portrait.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_00]: Love it, man.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_00]: Things are home in here in Broncos, country.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's funny.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think RJ Harvey might have had his best game as a running back.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_02]: I know we didn't have like a huge game everybody's wanted to JK Dobbins, but I really liked how he was running the ball.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't anything impressive.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he's got a better game to come and all that, but I really like that and I'm going to say it.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_02]: Cortland Sutton.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: I was I thought they were going to jettison him, but he is having a great season.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: It really, really is.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: He was not, you know, the best wide receiver in the league or anything, but I am really impressed with this season so far.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: He had a, you know, he, he would kind of disappear for one game, but other than that, he's, he's been very impressive.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: He leads the team.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's the leader in pretty much every statistical category for the Broncos tied for receptions right I think when you look at it technically with with Troy maybe some targets, but leads in first downs leads in touchdowns leads in yards we need 14 to show up in a big way against Vic fangeos Philadelphia Eagle secondary extra extra read all about it.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_00]: There's a major hole that pop of Vic fangeo is having a hard time filling.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_00]: on that Philly defense.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: I let you know what that whole is in my key to victory article that is popping over at myhaithel.com tomorrow morning.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: Todd Austin, Dwarf, what's up Todd coming back in?
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: Listen guys, JK Dobbins, he's the best pickup of the off season.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Todd, this is where we could draw some hairs, man.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_00]: This is where this would be a really good debate.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to take it.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: I agree with you.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_00]: JK Dobbins is one of the biggest reasons the Broncos offense is as successful as it is right now, which is not saying a lot about the offense, but is truly saying a lot about JK Dobbins.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos, when you look at them on paper as a rushing team,
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: They're not bad.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: They're not at the bottom half of the league.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: They get after it yards per carry.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think over six yards per carry for JK Dobbins and four games, just off the top of my head.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_00]: Truly impressive Tom talks to me about Hufanga on the other side of the ball because you look at best free agent addition and I think this debates fair.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: You pick one offensive guy, one defensive guy because we know it's not Drake Greenlaw hasn't even suited up regular season game.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's not Evan Ingraham because the guy just had to wear a number one, but he plays like, what?
- 46:51[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was going to bring up in Funga.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think Dobbins has been in the first quarter of this season.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: Dobbins has been the best pick-up because it's helped so much from a
- 47:03[SPEAKER_02]: running standpoint that we saw watch last year was not there, but who fungus, you know, he's had a couple of mishaps, but for the most part, he's been playing so well on the defensive side of the ball.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: He is an impact player.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_02]: He's one of those players that you can tell he is like psyched to play football and he is he plays in this hair on fire type of thing.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: Can get him a little trouble here and there, but I love that pick up as well.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the best two pickups so far in this.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's, you know, I hope our model is proud of that flow.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's got to go on.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_00]: And well, I'm just talk about too.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I know I was a little suspect, oh, your team captain, the very first year you're here, you know, Morocco's country doesn't know you yet, but was this a Sean Payton thing?
- 47:48[SPEAKER_00]: No, this was a team thing, and it's easy to see why.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: Again, nice to have good guys on the team, right?
- 47:53[SPEAKER_00]: From all,
- 47:55[SPEAKER_00]: looks in at least thus far who fungus seems that way.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Benito, I saw his charity doing some great things and getting ready for the holiday season and back to school and everything else in the Denver community.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos are out in in the Denver area.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_00]: That means a lot to the Baltimore Ownership Group and
- 48:10[SPEAKER_00]: It would mean a lot to the Bolin's too and that's something Pat Bolin definitely Pride it himself on W. J. B. I saw William coming in earlier London Colin he's usually calling on Wednesday nights his early hours if you will and just like that I have subscribed to my Ohio Like on my new job confirmed as well.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a good week all around well
- 48:32[SPEAKER_00]: how about that will congratulations to you and yours.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_00]: Let's make that week just a little bit better with two victories, two proper victories.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, the Philadelphia Eagles being unbeaten, one of two unbeaten teams, man.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be no joke, especially in Philly.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's the game that we've all had marked on our calendar.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: Since the schedule came out, and I hear you well, you're excited.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_00]: We are almost the jet's week, your week in London.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_00]: But we got to get through Philly first, man.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much for tuning in to MHI.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: and also want to give a shout out to string guy man.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_00]: I saw string guy just said he was recovering from some surgery.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_00]: Thoughts and prayers are with you man.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully a Broncos dub and Philly helps you heal all the more quickly.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah man, sorry to hear that, but yeah, hopefully you're feeling better and get well soon and back on your feet doing what you love.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, let's hope that there's a victory in store to help you feel even better.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_00]: Let's hope that Luke Wattenberg learned how to play football.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_00]: Phil McLaughlin coming in here, Luke is terrible in run blocking and fair and pass protection.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_00]: Four sides better run blocking, fair and pass protection.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_00]: Bottom line trade or draft a center.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's not that easy, Phil.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know why?
- 49:45[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's week five in the NFL season and you don't know how this is all going to shake out.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_00]: these many struggles this early and they're very similar to what we saw last to your folks, but it seems like things are getting worse.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_00]: How do we fix Luke Grottenberg?
- 50:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'll let you know tomorrow morning.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm all about how to calm one of my keys to victory.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_00]: WJB coming back around good evening.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_00]: My guys, London Collin, I'll message you Phil on how to get those UK tickets.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_00]: But guys, Philly is
- 50:24[SPEAKER_00]: Man, talk.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: You're telling me, well, you're telling me.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it, man.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think of Billy's defense as mean and scary.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_00]: What about the Broncos defense?
- 50:35[SPEAKER_00]: Are they mean and scary?
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: Is this going to be a battle of two bullies?
- 50:39[SPEAKER_00]: In terms of the Philadelphia Eagles defense and the Broncos defense?
- 50:41[SPEAKER_00]: Who do you think truly has the upper hand when you look at both of these defenses?
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I really liked the Broncos defense on paper, and I've liked what they've done a couple of times, but they kind of got exposed against the cults.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_02]: So I wouldn't say, I wouldn't classify them as scary, but they're very good.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_02]: and if they play their game, if they play well, then yeah, they can really be scary.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: I would like to see a little more meanness, I don't think they're mean yet for my perspective.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're a good defense, but yeah, I'd like to see them a little bit more mean.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's a good question.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Broncos defense, if they, like I said, if they play,
- 51:24[SPEAKER_02]: the way they should, if they can stop the run and force pass, then you're going to see a much better defense from Vance Joseph.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: If the opposite happens, it's going to be a poor performance.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: If they're going to let Sequan Barclay run all over and open up so much more of that game, then they're going to look like a mediocre defense.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully the first one shows up and not the latter.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_00]: won't listen this eagles defense and this eagles team is probably as undisciplined as they've ever been and that's been frustrating the philly fans and the philly faithful over the past four games.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Carter, maybe the plan if you're they're lukewarm burgers, try to get him to spit and get him kicked out of the game, right?
- 52:06[SPEAKER_00]: Just like he did against Dak Prescott and that uh
- 52:09[SPEAKER_00]: that game to start the year.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_00]: You can get these guys to be very reactive, but you've got to outplay them.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's, that's just the way it is here.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't going to be about out scheming guys.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't going to, you chest match, we could play that game and just to peek behind the curtain.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to play that game and maybe we still can.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_00]: Some leftovers
- 52:36[SPEAKER_00]: is strictly on the players on either they're going to have a missed assignment or they're going to hit it and can you wipe out the bad play and make a good play happen and the buck and years came back and came real close to getting after the Philadelphia Eagles and what should have been a blowout last week, Tom, I think the Eagles got humbled a little bit even though they won the game down in Tampa.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_00]: It was an odd performance.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_00]: Vic Fanzio came out
- 53:01[SPEAKER_00]: started talking about bone next today and speaking of Tampa, he said, quote, he's a lot like Baker Meanfield.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think he might be Baker's younger brother.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's really good.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_00]: Really, really good.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's a scramble.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's a competitor.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_00]: He'll throw the ball in tight places.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_00]: He runs their offense really well.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think Sean's done a great job bringing him along and they've got their quarterback for the future.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_00]: They looked long and hard for many years and they've got one.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_00]: Baker may feel bone X one and same.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_02]: No, I mean, I think you can make some comparisons.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think bone X is probably better with his feet.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_02]: And I think maybe field might have a little bit better armed talent.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, there's some similarities.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_02]: But it's a nice praise coming from Vic Fangeo.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if he's just saying it or if he really believes it.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_02]: But from what we see, you know, we've got we're looking at bone X. We've got a pretty good quarterback.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: who needs to develop a little bit more and who knows maybe he's going to have a monster season coming up you know in the near future we'll see but you know he's not quite I know he's a baker may feel yet but he's definitely can he can work up there and maybe surpass him if he continues to improve
- 54:14[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Baker's not the baby maker that he is today.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_00]: If he didn't get the experience that he got in the league, right?
- 54:20[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you look at when Baker came in to Cleveland and even his short little what, three game rop with their lay rams and it's time with Carolina Panthers and how he ultimately landed in Tampa.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's a story of experience and with standing some bumps and I think that's what you're seeing with boat.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's what Vic Franjo is alluding to because
- 54:40[SPEAKER_00]: Vick's not one of those guys that's just going to give compliments for compliments sake unless you're the 1987 Norl and Saints.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's he doesn't want to talk about it.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_00]: He wants to make his meatballs.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_00]: He wants to get after your offense.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_00]: And he wants to say I told you show and again, it's going to be weird to see three guys in the building who have all at one time been the head coach of the Denver Broncos.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_00]: Vic Vangio, Vans Joseph, and Sean Payton, who will be there this Sunday.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, we're wrapping things up in our final segment here on MHI.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to save our predictions like we have for most of the season for the round table on Friday morning.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_00]: I hope everybody picked the Bengals last week.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think this week's going to be really tough.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_00]: I just got done riding my keys to the big cradle down tomorrow morning.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_00]: Mohan Huddle.com going through the Philadelphia film.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not ready to give a prediction.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, man.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be a tough game.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's a game.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, I want the Broncos to win.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_00]: I also think it's a winnable game.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm being honest, Tom, I would love to come in here and tell you, Broncos, come and try hey, look, this isn't it, start getting ready for London, these are the world champs, okay?
- 55:43[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean a thing.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_00]: This is a beatable Philadelphia team, and I can't wait to break it down tomorrow morning, tomorrow, howl.com.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're a beautiful team, but being in Philly, I think gives them the advantage.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_02]: If they were coming to the to the my high city, I'd be like, yeah, I think they the Broncos have a much better chance of beating them, but you know, at home.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's a little bit different.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see, but yeah, I think it's they're the Broncos are going to have to play their game in order to beat this team because even though they're beatable, they're still a really good team.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: And they've got a really good offense, even though offensive line, even though it's banged up.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_02]: And that's where I worry the most about this Broncos team is being run on.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_02]: Even though Malcolm Roach could be back, which would be nice, but the Broncos can be run on and, you know, Philadelphia Eagles know that.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_02]: So they need to stop that run, but that's what concerned me the most and being on the road is it's never easy going out out east.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_00]: No, Philly's so tough to play, man.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_00]: And it's crazy fans, tough environment, the link, right?
- 56:48[SPEAKER_00]: Isn't that what they call it, link in financial field?
- 56:50[SPEAKER_00]: The link, the link's going to be rocked, man.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I can remember growing up and the Eagles were horrible.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_00]: My whole childhood, man.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_00]: And I thought the best that they would be, right?
- 56:59[SPEAKER_00]: It was Donovan McNabb and Andy Reed.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_00]: Terrell Owens and then fast forward a little bit and Michael Vick and then you hit Nick Falls right and then those Super Bowl rather than then all the sudden Jalen Hertz just falls out of the sky say quen Barkley just falls out of the sky how he rose menders falls out of the sky and builds this this monster
- 57:19[SPEAKER_00]: not only team, but it's the franchise.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're the Denver Broncos, this is a moment for your season, help for your club that can truly transcend you into another tier.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_00]: If you're the Denver Broncos, aren't the Philadelphia Eagles everything you want to be consistently in the conversation for postseason runs year and year out.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_00]: a top quarterback running back combination, a team that is led through the spirit of both their offensive and defensive lines, a defensive coordinator who is not only from the area, but in golf's the attitude of his team.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's what the Broncos
- 58:06[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos are getting mad love and all kinds of respect all the way to Cheerio just like our Guy Marie Shevelir is coming in here guys London Colin I am flying up for the game next week Let's grab a pint.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be at the two fan meet-up events.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go man.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's cool to see Broncos country Getting ready for London here in a couple weeks Tom
- 58:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_02]: I'm, you know, like we were talking about last week, how we don't like the London game selfishly, but it's nice that the fans can enjoy that that are out there.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm kind of glad that you're all able to enjoy it.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_02]: Even though I don't enjoy it as much, but you know, I got a lot of a lot of people out there that I, well, I haven't even complained about it yet.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's weird right the timing of it man.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_00]: It truly is it's gonna it's like a what nine nine 30 game for all of us here in the states and what time is it by the way in the UK for that game Is it like a is it an afternoon thing is it a night thing?
- 59:08[SPEAKER_00]: What's that like I have no idea?
- 59:10[SPEAKER_02]: There's seven hours ahead of the east coast.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: So if they were going to go on it You know if they're going on at nine or five after noon there.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think yeah, I think it's like six or seven hour difference there in London
- 59:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we'll on the way out.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think of this every time and he's like, I think my dad told me this way back when, but the Eagles fans used to put batteries and snowballs and toss them.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's right.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_00]: Well, not just Eagles fans, but you know, the Raiders fans would just throw batteries straight up, right?
- 59:37[SPEAKER_02]: The black dog pound man, the dog pound was worse.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_02]: The dog pound was the worst.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_02]: They would throw the milk bone biscuits.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_02]: They throw batteries.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_02]: They would also throw like the big ham hawk bones at people.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_02]: And Ken Lanier told me that someone threw a fifth of whiskey bottle and hit one of their assistant coaches on the sidelines.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_02]: So now you get kicked out for that kind of stuff.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_02]: But back in the day, they didn't, they didn't know who threw it, but they were throwing all sorts of stuff at the players, you know, from the dog pound.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_02]: So to speak in the sideline.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, dude.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_02]: What a shit.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_00]: I've never heard of ham hawk bones.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_00]: I've heard of of batteries arm, you know, beer bottles, stuff like that makes sense.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_00]: You just, man, you know, you've got a lot of hate in your heart if you're bringing a ham hawk bones.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna go ham.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy, Tom.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I'm ever going to forget that one.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we should have a segment called going
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_00]: where if you throw it on it, anybody in the previous game, that's what we're going to do on this show.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, man.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny speaking of the Browns as she should or in his little stunt today on the way out and should work out about a changing of the guard at quarterback dealing Gabriel speaking of Oregon, right?
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_00]: The bonus is successor from Oregon or at Oregon.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_00]: Dylan Gabriel is taking over play calling I'm excuse me quarterbacking for the Cleveland Browns Shoulder still the third I think what Joe Flacco former Broncos quarterback is going to be the the back up there and then they asked Shoulder about it and he does this whole I'm going to be a mine thing it's just weird bizarre bad taste.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know it must be bored and Cleveland
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was weird, and, you know, I don't know why they're, I mean, they're obviously, they don't want you to order to take over at 80 point, but Flacco's done, man.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's why they gave him the starting position to begin with as beyond me.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, you know, when it comes to quarterback competition and camp, he can outplay the young guys, whatever.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_02]: But come on, your team's not going anywhere.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_02]: Why go, you know, eight and nine with Joe Flacco at best, like get the young guys in start early.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I'm glad that they benched Joe Flacco just because I'm tired of seeing him around the league anymore.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know yet, man, the guy's like a bad penny.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's just truly like a bit of Joe Flacco, man.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Flacco is just going to be out there playing.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'd say till he's 80, but we're almost there.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_00]: And speaking of almost there, guys, we are up against it.
