Kit Harington Takes Over Lockhart Role | Bend News
Kit Harington is stepping into the wizarding world as Gilderoy Lockhart in HBO’s Harry Potter Season 2 — a role originally slated for Nicholas Hoult, who stepped away due to scheduling conflicts. Harington, who already voiced Lockhart in the audiobooks, brings his flair to the flamboyant and dubious character. The series, adapting Philosopher’s Stone, premieres Christmas Day, with Jon Brown joining Francesca Gardiner as co-showrunner — signaling a strong, book-true vision for the long haul.
