- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: All right, Jacksonville Jaguar Saints, welcome in to do Vault Daily, presented by Genjag.com, fuel by Brass Tax Coffee, recording this Monday, October 19th, dropping Tuesday as we travel back home to London tomorrow, excited to get this one out for you.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: We've been doing AFC power rankings every week of the season so far, and this week is no different.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: After week six, we do have Monday net football yet to come, but that has nothing to do with the AFC right now.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: So we're getting into these FC power rankings, decided to do it.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: One thing I try to do is not let my previous, weeks or previous months rankings impact how I'm feeling about things at this moment, try to keep this very fluid here and have a good time with it.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: So if you enjoy the content, all jacks, all the time, please like and subscribe, you can also hit that high button, and we're going to go from 16 to 1 with these FC power rankings.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: I have a tier at the bottom here that's the Chargers and Dolphins.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: They're the two windless teams, and I put the Chargers at 16, even though, you know.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know who would win a neutral site game between the Dolphins and Chargers right now.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: I do know the Chargers have a lot of negativity going on while the Dolphins are a team that it's more about rebuilding this year and kind of building the foundation moving forward.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: So vibes are better with the Dolphins than they are with the Chargers and the Chargers are clearly moving in the wrong direction.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like that is a sinking ship.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: While the Dolphins, even if they only eat out a winner to this year, it's like,
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: is that really anything more than you expected.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: So I just have them ahead of the chargers based on vibes alone.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: Then I have the Titans at 14.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that they're a whole lot better.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: They just barely beat a cult's team that is also heading in the wrong direction.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I have the Titans and Colts in this next year, Titans at 14, Colts at 13, the Titans obviously beat the Colts.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: The Colts just fired their GM.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like wholesale changes are probably coming with
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: with the cults, it's crazy that Ballard, you know, has been fired.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it shouldn't be a surprise, but the fact that he was there for so long, ten years, and now he's no longer employed by the team, but yeah, I don't think either of these teams are really moving in the right direction.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: The Titans, yes, Jeffrey Simmons is incredible.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: They have some...
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: decent building blocks certain places of the team some decent players good players right but uh overall i just i don't see that as a team moving in the right direction i i don't think the culture moving in the right direction either i mean maybe they're taking steps towards that now uh with the front office but think it's a little too late for twenty twenty six too little too late for twenty twenty six for the cults but uh i still think that they have a
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: then some of the other teams we've discussed so far, then you get to the jets who I haven't 12, the Raiders at 11.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're in a tier right now.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: The Raiders are, maybe they're in two tiers of their own.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: The jets are a team that can be competitive, but, you know, and they've got some really good players.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: I still don't buy it and the record indicates that as well, but I do think that they're a little bit better than these teams we have at the very bottom of the afc the Raiders incredible star they've fallen back down to earth a little bit, but still I think well coached a lot of talent to get excited about and so I have them ahead of the jet's cults tight installs its chargers and obviously their record indicates that they're better as well right now.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but it hasn't been greatly for them in terms of being able to win some football games, then I have the Steelers at 10, the Browns at 9, the Ravens at 8 and the Bengals at 7 and I moved the Ravens down a good bit, uh, you know,
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: There, they're kind of an enigma right now, they're four and two, and the crazy thing about the AFC right now is there are nine teams with only two losses or less.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: The Bengals Raven Steelers Broncos, Patriots, Browns, Jaguars, Bills, and Chiefs are all sitting there with at least three wins, the Bengals had about a week, so they only have three wins, right?
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: All those teams are too lost teams right now through six weeks.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: So they're all in a spot to compete.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the raiders are still in a spot to compete.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: Going to be incredibly difficult to do that with their division, their current direction and standing and all that stuff.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: having this many teams with only two losses does make it very difficult.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I have the entire AFC North 7 to 10 here.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: The Steelers, they're tough, right?
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Good defense, all that stuff.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: They've been figuring some things out on the offensive side of the ball here and there, but it still just doesn't feel consistent enough to me.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I mean, they're four and two.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: Same record as the Jaguars.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: But it feels like
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot less even, a lot less of a ceiling for the Steelers in my opinion.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: The Browns, I feel the same way about kind of not the same team as the Steelers, they obviously did beat the Steelers as well, which is the only reason I have them ahead of the Steelers right now.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think either of those, they could both, you know, squeak into the playoffs, depending on how things play out, but it would kind of surprise me if either of them make the playoffs over the teams we have ahead of them.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: I have those two teams, bottom of the AFC North and then the Ravens and Bengals in that order, Ravens and eight Bengals at seven.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the Ravens still have the potential to be one of the highest ceiling teams in the AFC, but it's difficult for them right now to get out of their own way, coming off a really disappointing loss.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: And look, no one more right in this game, so maybe you can put them ahead of a couple of the other teams, but I still think,
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: only being able to uh... muster ten points is pretty difficult when i look through their wins like they've eaten the colts calboys titans and falcons they've lost to the saints and browns the resumé is just not that impressive yet and they have a game with the bingles coming up so that's going to be really interesting to see who comes out on top there and the other team will probably get moved
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: up down, et cetera, but I think that that's where I'm at there with those teams.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: The bingles, they have a better defense than they've had in a while, and they still have just, you know, one of the most potent passing attacks in most talented passing attacks that there is in football.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: I have the Broncos at six, and
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: The reason I have them behind the rest of the teams is I still just don't have a lot of confidence in Bonaix compared to the other quarterbacks on this list.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I could probably, but then on the other side of things, like I think their defense is incredible.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: So at the Broncos at six, I have the Patriots at five.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: They're playing a lot better football since what happened to them in Jacksonville against the Jaguars and Drake May is starting to play better ball.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think that, you know, Dobbs is starting to make plays and they're going to get AJ Brown back at some points.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: They're moving in the right direction for sure.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: I have the Texans at four.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: I had them at five last week, I believe.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I have the Jags at three bills at two chiefs at one.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think the top five right now feels the most potent to me.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then I think that the Bengals and or Ravens could also be in that conversation.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I just don't see it happening for them with bone except quarterback in terms of like
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: making a deep run in the AFC.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: I know they did it last year but it's difficult for me to see it happening again.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: I know the defense is incredible but these are my rankings and so I have again the Texans at four in Jags at three.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: The Jags still have a better record than the Texans by a couple games.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: They went toe to toe.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: It was shootout.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: It was a game that I thought the Jags had a couple really, really bad calls on them that really flipped the game.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: Again, the Britain strange holding call that was phantom, the Travis Hunter, you know, on defense, I thought that that was a horrible call in the end zone, so I think that
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: I still in a neutral site game would have the Jaguar's beating the Texans.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think if they played this week, I would still have the Jaguar's beating the Texans and the Jaguar's have the better record right now.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, right now, if these two teams had to play in the playoffs, the Jaguars would be hosting the Texans.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: So, I have the Jags as just a little bit better than the Texans right now.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the Jaguars need to do some things to improve this team still if they want to
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: be a Super Bowl contender, a Super Bowl favorite, there's some things that need to change, but overall, you look at the run defense on where they didn't have a banner day yesterday.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: Combined with Travis Hunter on the back end and some of their other secondary pieces, Anthony Campany, like Colin Plays, and how good the offense can be week to week and then the special teams is obviously a huge factor for the Jaguar.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's pretty much on a weekly basis doing really good things.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: The bills, I don't think there is complete right now as the Jaguar is, but the one thing they have is Josh Allen and just doing insane offense around him.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Moore will eventually be back and playing at full strength.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard for me to just put anybody ahead of Josh Allen in the bills right now, but the Kansas City Chiefs are ahead of them because they have a little bit more of a complete team Kenneth Walker has been a revelation for them Patrick Mahomes is playing you know very, very good football overall and I think that Spagnolo is able to dial it up a little bit more with this defense than he has the past couple years certainly last year.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: So those are my FC power rankings heading into week seven.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: excited to see what happens here obviously the Jaguars.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: They're not playing a game so we'll kind of be able to just look ahead and digest this, this weekend, slate of football for the Jags and see where the rest of the AFC kind of unfolds in week seven.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: But that's going to do it really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe, you can also hit that hype button y'all have great one.
