- Dana (AI host): You know the slowest part of a blog post? The blank page. Dana (AI host): HubSpot's Blog page now has a Create with AI option. Rob (AI host): Breeze Assistant takes a topic, or a link to an older post, and hands back a complete draft. Dana (AI host): Stay for the three switches a Super Admin flips first, and the habit that keeps those drafts sounding like you. Narrator (AI voice): This is Sidekick's What Just Shipped, presented by Sidekick Strategies. Narrator (AI voice): Your hosts, Rob and Dana, are AI. Narrator (AI voice): The voices are synthetic, the research is real, and humans check every claim before it reaches you. Dana (AI host): Glad you're here. Dana (AI host): Same honesty as always: Rob and I are AI hosts, working from HubSpot's help article on creating blog posts with Breeze Assistant, updated in early October. Rob (AI host): And today I'm playing a made-up marketer on a tiny team, the one who owes a blog post every week and keeps pushing it back. Dana (AI host): Then let's get you unstuck. In HubSpot, go to Content, then Blog. Dana (AI host): If your account shows a More menu, start there. Rob (AI host): Okay, I'm there. Dana (AI host): In the upper right, open the Create dropdown and pick Create with AI. Dana (AI host): That opens Breeze Assistant. Rob (AI host): And then what, I just type a topic? Dana (AI host): Right. HubSpot says you enter a topic describing your post. Dana (AI host): Their example asks for a post on five ways sustainable office sourcing reduces costs for small businesses. Rob (AI host): Wait, can I hand it something we already published? Dana (AI host): Yes. Dana (AI host): HubSpot says you can start from a topic, a brief, or the URL of existing content you want to refresh or repurpose. Rob (AI host): A brief, too? So the planning we already did isn't wasted. Rob (AI host): Oh, that's the sleeper feature. Dana (AI host): Then Breeze Assistant may ask clarifying questions, like the goal of the post, the intended audience, and the tone. Dana (AI host): You answer in the chat box and send. Rob (AI host): And where does the draft actually show up? Dana (AI host): You review a generated content preview in a panel on the right. Dana (AI host): To use it on your blog, you ask Breeze Assistant to create a blog post draft, and it gives you a link to keep customizing. Rob (AI host): What if our blog lives somewhere else? Dana (AI host): There's a Copy button in the upper right. Dana (AI host): You can also share the content with other users, or export it as a PDF. Rob (AI host): Handy for a quick review round. Dana (AI host): Why it matters: the start is usually the hardest part of a post, and this puts the start inside the tool where you publish. Rob (AI host): Fine. But who can actually use it? Dana (AI host): HubSpot lists Marketing Hub and Content Hub, on Professional or Enterprise. Rob (AI host): And what does an admin have to do first? Dana (AI host): A Super Admin must turn on three switches in AI Settings. Dana (AI host): Give users access to generative AI tools and features. Files data. Dana (AI host): And give users access to Breeze Assistant. Rob (AI host): Files data is the one people will miss. Dana (AI host): Probably. Dana (AI host): HubSpot also notes you can manage AI feature access in AI settings and configure what data is shared. Rob (AI host): Now, how do we make it sound like us and not like everyone else? Dana (AI host): HubSpot's September updates added automatic brand voice setup. Dana (AI host): It builds a brand voice from your website, your existing content, and content best practices, and it applies across AI surfaces such as the blog tool and Breeze Assistant. Rob (AI host): Can we change what it builds? Dana (AI host): You can use it as is, adjust attributes, or upload writing samples or brand guidelines. Dana (AI host): Brand voice is for Pro and up on several hubs, including Marketing and Content. Rob (AI host): So set the voice before you draft. Dana (AI host): And HubSpot's own example is worth hearing. Dana (AI host): A content marketer enters a topic and gets a complete draft saved as an artifact, ready to review and publish. Rob (AI host): Ready to review is doing a lot of work there. Dana (AI host): Here's a hypothetical. Dana (AI host): A small team pastes the link to an older post about office sourcing, answers Breeze's questions about goal and audience, and asks for a draft. Dana (AI host): Then a human editor checks every fact before it goes live. Rob (AI host): And that last step isn't optional. Dana (AI host): Who's this for? Dana (AI host): Our research points to small marketing teams, Content Hub users managing pillar pages, and business owners with deep expertise but limited time. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Hey, it's George B. Thomas from Sidekick Strategies. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Full honesty, this is my AI voice clone, made with my permission. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Breeze can hand you a draft fast. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): The hard part is teaching the machine to sound like you instead of like everyone else. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): In AI Content System Live, your team builds a digital-identity document onsite with me: tone rules, banned words, your stories, and an examples bank. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Then we set a simple human quality gate, so drafts get judgment before they go live. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): It's under workshops at Sidekick Strategies dot com. Rob (AI host): My skeptic question. Our write-up calls this a beta and says Breeze builds an outline first. Rob (AI host): Does HubSpot's help say that? Dana (AI host): Not in its early October version. Dana (AI host): It never uses the word beta, and it describes clarifying questions and a content preview, not an outline step. Dana (AI host): So your screen may differ. Rob (AI host): What else couldn't we confirm? Dana (AI host): Our write-up says Breeze can optimize for SEO and AEO, suggest internal and external links, and draft supporting articles for a pillar page. Dana (AI host): HubSpot's article doesn't mention those, so try them as prompts, not promises. Rob (AI host): Prompts, not promises. Got it. Rob (AI host): One more worry. What stops it from inventing things? Dana (AI host): HubSpot points you to its AI Trust frequently asked questions and AI Model Cards for details on security controls, data use, and compliance. Dana (AI host): Accuracy is still your job. Rob (AI host): And is this the same thing as the AEO blog posts? Dana (AI host): HubSpot lists generating blog posts from AEO recommendations as a separate next step at the end of that help page, so treat them as related, but separate. Dana (AI host): Okay, plan time. What does a small team do this week? Rob (AI host): Step one: ask a Super Admin to check the three AI Settings switches, including Files data. Dana (AI host): Step two: set up or review your brand voice, so drafts start closer to how you sound. Rob (AI host): Step three: pick one older post worth refreshing, and paste its URL into Create with AI. Dana (AI host): Step four: answer the clarifying questions with a clear goal, audience, and tone. Rob (AI host): Step five: ask for the blog post draft, then have a human check every fact, link, and claim before it publishes. Dana (AI host): And if you'd rather test away from your live blog, copy it out or export a PDF for review first. Rob (AI host): Quick reality check. Should we promise the boss a post a day now? Dana (AI host): No. Promise a better first draft, then let your editor set the pace. Rob (AI host): Blank-page verdict: worth turning on this week, as long as a human editor owns the final draft. Dana (AI host): Pick one older post today and see what Breeze does with it. Rob (AI host): HubSpot's help article, its September updates, and our write-up are in the show notes, with more at Sidekick Strategies dot com. Dana (AI host): Thanks for listening. Go clear that blank page. Rob (AI host): A human signs off every post. Narrator (AI voice): Sidekick's What Just Shipped is presented by Sidekick Strategies, with AI hosts Rob and Dana and AI-generated music. Narrator (AI voice): We're independent, and not affiliated with HubSpot. Find our research at Sidekick Strategies dot com.
