To say 'I want tofu' — Saya mahu tauhu. Luna: Saya mahu tauhu. Lucas: Good. Now, if you want to ask the price per piece — Berapa harga sekeping? Luna: Berapa harga sekeping? Lucas: Perfect. So at the market, you could say: Saya mahu tauhu. Berapa harga sekeping? Luna: Saya mahu tauhu. Berapa harga sekeping? Lucas: Let's say the seller says 'RM1 per piece'. You want three pieces. How do you say 'I want three pieces'? Luna: Saya mahu tiga keping? Lucas: Exactly. Saya mahu tiga keping. Luna: Saya mahu tiga keping. Lucas: You might also want to ask if the tofu is fresh. Tauhu ini segar? Luna: Tauhu ini segar? That's 'Is this tofu fresh?' Lucas: Yes. And if you need it cut — Boleh potong? 'Can you cut it?' Luna: Boleh potong? So useful. Lucas: Let's put it together in a short scene. Imagine you're at the tofu stall. You say: Saya mahu tauhu. Berapa harga sekeping? Luna: Saya mahu tauhu. Berapa harga sekeping? Lucas: The seller says, 'RM1 per piece.' You say: Saya mahu tiga keping. Luna: Saya mahu tiga keping. Lucas: Then you can ask: Tauhu ini segar? and Boleh potong? Luna: Tauhu ini segar? Boleh potong?
