- 0:57Speaker 1: Heather MacDonald. Juicy Scoop.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. As always, I've got
- 1:05Speaker 5: a lot to get through, so I'm going to get
- 1:07Speaker 5: through it by myself. Let's get into it. A little
- 1:11Speaker 5: update on the Olympics, as I'm sure you're watching and enjoying.
- 1:14Speaker 5: So yeah, they had to cancel the men's triathlon. It's
- 1:18Speaker 5: been postponed, but I think it's now been canceled for
- 1:22Speaker 5: them swimming in the Seine River in Paris.
- 1:26Speaker 1: It has way too much shit in it.
- 1:29Speaker 5: And they said the level of poo that was in
- 1:31Speaker 5: it when the female mare swam in it, she probably
- 1:34Speaker 5: shouldn't have done that either. So as a native Angeleno
- 1:41Speaker 5: who is going to most likely be here in 2028
- 1:45Speaker 5: in Los Angeles, and I was here in 1984 for
- 1:48Speaker 5: the 84 Olympics. In the 2028 LA Olympics, it's happening here,
- 1:53Speaker 5: Summer Olympics. What is so great is that there's probably
- 1:57Speaker 5: not a lot of podcasters that could say they were
- 2:00Speaker 5: at the 84 Olympics or that they were born, for
- 2:02Speaker 5: that matter, in Los Angeles. But I can tell you
- 2:06Speaker 5: that L.A. was fabulous during that time. And for all
- 2:11Speaker 5: of you that are moving out and can't stand it,
- 2:13Speaker 5: I'm just saying if you want to hang on for
- 2:15Speaker 5: four more years, it will be very clean and delightful,
- 2:18Speaker 5: I promise you, for at least a month during the
- 2:22Speaker 5: Olympics four years from now. Because Even back in the
- 2:25Speaker 5: 84 Olympics, everyone was freaked out, all the news, everyone
- 2:28Speaker 5: was talking, oh my God, it's going to be a nightmare,
- 2:31Speaker 5: the traffic's going to be a nightmare, it's going to
- 2:32Speaker 5: be awful, it's going to be so congested. So many
- 2:35Speaker 5: people just picked up and left and were not even here.
- 2:39Speaker 5: And that was before we had like Airbnbs and stuff.
- 2:41Speaker 5: So I don't know what it'll be like as far
- 2:44Speaker 5: as people wanting to like rent out their homes or
- 2:46Speaker 5: whatever for the Olympics. But what I think is great
- 2:49Speaker 5: about LA is we're not going to try to have
- 2:51Speaker 5: people swim in our LA River or anything like that.
- 2:54Speaker 1: We are going to.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Keep it to USC, probably, you know, the Rose Bowl, whatever.
- 3:00Speaker 5: We're going to know our limitations and it's going to
- 3:02Speaker 5: be fabulous.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I don't know what was going on with Paris.
- 3:06Speaker 5: It seems like there's been a lot of miscalculations in
- 3:09Speaker 5: doing this from the housing.
- 3:12Speaker 1: And we know all this now because.
- 3:15Speaker 5: This is by far the first Olympics ever, and it's
- 3:17Speaker 5: going to even be more like this, I'm sure, in 2028,
- 3:19Speaker 5: where every Olympian has their own social media, TikTok account,
- 3:24Speaker 5: and some of them are doing a lot of content,
- 3:27Speaker 5: as they should.
- 3:29Speaker 1: They worked their whole life to get to this level.
- 3:31Speaker 1: They get to be on TV for a couple weeks.
- 3:33Speaker 5: And in the past, those 90% of the Olympians we
- 3:37Speaker 5: never heard from again, and that was it. And they
- 3:39Speaker 5: just had to like, you know, wrap their leg and
- 3:41Speaker 5: move on with their life. Well, now there's this great
- 3:44Speaker 5: opportunity for many of these Olympians to do what a
- 3:47Speaker 5: lot of influencers do. And now we know them. We
- 3:49Speaker 5: know them as a person that's, you know, this really
- 3:51Speaker 5: great volleyball player or whatever and fun to watch on
- 3:53Speaker 5: social media. So in doing that, we've gotten a lot
- 3:56Speaker 5: of info of what it's really like to be in
- 4:01Speaker 5: the Olympic Village or whatnot. And these tennis players were sharing,
- 4:06Speaker 5: female tennis players, that it's quite a challenge in these villages,
- 4:11Speaker 5: in their housing that Paris has provided, because it was
- 4:15Speaker 5: 10 girls to two bathrooms.
- 4:17Speaker 1: And look, not only are they on TV, but they're girls.
- 4:19Speaker 1: They want to do their hair. They want to do
- 4:21Speaker 1: their makeup. And that is a challenge.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Anyway, five of the tennis players said, forget it. And
- 4:26Speaker 5: they went to a hotel. So I guess they have
- 4:27Speaker 5: an option to leave for the hotel. I'm not really sure.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Because then this girl I read, a Brazilian swimmer, opens up.
- 4:35Speaker 5: She was expelled from the Olympics apparently because she left
- 4:40Speaker 5: the village to go see her boyfriend and see the
- 4:42Speaker 5: sights of Paris. And they said you cannot do that.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And it was like weird reports. Like what?
- 4:48Speaker 5: She just wanted to like get a little, you know,
- 4:50Speaker 5: boning it? No, it's like a security thing. You're not
- 4:52Speaker 5: supposed to leave. So I guess if you officially say
- 4:55Speaker 5: I'm leaving here and I'm going to live in a
- 4:57Speaker 5: hotel because I just can't handle it, that's one thing.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Because going back to what I was saying, I mean
- 5:02Speaker 5: I can't imagine if you don't have good air conditioning,
- 5:04Speaker 5: if you don't have many good nights sleep leading up
- 5:07Speaker 5: to the biggest day or night or event of your life,
- 5:11Speaker 5: like do you imagine you're this huge athlete and like
- 5:14Speaker 5: you have like a crunchy.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Sheet and like a shitty mattress? Like no.
- 5:19Speaker 5: I've spent your whole life doing this and now you're
- 5:21Speaker 5: in this crappy place. So I thought that was really interesting.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Big announcement. I am coming to see you live.
- 5:28Speaker 5: I am coming to Houston, Dallas, Austin, Las Vegas. Then
- 5:32Speaker 5: I'm off to the East Coast and I'm going to
- 5:35Speaker 5: be in Boston. Chicago, New York, too many cities to count.
- 5:40Speaker 5: And all of those tickets are at HeatherMcDonald.net. The link
- 5:45Speaker 5: is right here below.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Click on there.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Do not Google and end up in some bogus website
- 5:52Speaker 5: of some reseller who is going to charge you twice
- 5:55Speaker 5: or even more than what you should be paying to
- 5:57Speaker 5: come see me. I want to meet you in person.
- 6:00Speaker 5: A Juicy Scooper made me this shirt. I love meeting
- 6:02Speaker 5: you guys in person. We're going to have so much fun.
- 6:05Speaker 5: Go to heathermcdonald.net right at this link to buy the tickets,
- 6:10Speaker 5: and I will see you soon.
- 6:12Speaker 1: So this is getting a lot of talk.
- 6:14Speaker 5: The French prime minister, who is married, had a very
- 6:19Speaker 5: steamy embrace with the female sports minister at the Olympics.
- 6:24Speaker 1: And it is weird.
- 6:25Speaker 5: It's like she took his head. It looks like they're kissing.
- 6:30Speaker 5: She's like a woman, I don't know, in her 40s,
- 6:32Speaker 5: early 50s. That's around his age. He might still be
- 6:35Speaker 5: in his 40s. This is the president I've often talked
- 6:38Speaker 5: about that has an interesting romantic life. He met his
- 6:42Speaker 5: now wife when he was her student, when he was 14,
- 6:46Speaker 5: and they had a relationship. And then he went off
- 6:50Speaker 5: to college, and then she got divorced, and then they
- 6:52Speaker 5: got together. And now they've been together for many years,
- 6:54Speaker 5: and it seems to have worked out because he's the president.
- 6:56Speaker 1: But whatever.
- 6:57Speaker 5: It's very Mary Kay Letourneau. And then he had this
- 7:00Speaker 5: weird embrace with this woman. So, you know, those are
- 7:03Speaker 5: some of the juicy things happening. Of course, our girls
- 7:07Speaker 5: won the gold medal. The gymnastic team was absolutely fantastic.
- 7:13Speaker 5: So prior to the Olympics happening, a retired gymnast, Michaela Skinner,
- 7:18Speaker 5: made some comments that she didn't feel that this Olympic
- 7:21Speaker 5: team was that she said they were lazy. They weren't
- 7:24Speaker 5: hardworking enough. They didn't have a work ethic. Well, You know,
- 7:27Speaker 5: they're the most decorated team now. Simone, of course, broke
- 7:32Speaker 5: all kinds of records for the amount of medals and
- 7:35Speaker 5: everything she's won.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I don't have all the stats, but whatever. They're the bomb.
- 7:38Speaker 1: They're amazing. So then, of course, she, you know.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Had to do her comments and liked it.
- 7:44Speaker 1: So happy for you guys.
- 7:46Speaker 5: But it just goes to show you, with the whole
- 7:47Speaker 5: world having social media and podcasts where you're just saying everything,
- 7:52Speaker 5: just know that any of these comments can really come
- 7:54Speaker 5: back and bite you in the ass. So maybe don't
- 7:57Speaker 5: talk about people that are going to go to the
- 8:01Speaker 5: Olympics and then you look like a bitter old bitch.
- 8:04Speaker 5: The other thing that happened is Simone was very annoyed
- 8:07Speaker 5: because While, you know, chilling out, she looks on her
- 8:12Speaker 5: phone and sees that a lot of people were ripping
- 8:15Speaker 5: on her hair. Nobody should rip on someone's hair, no
- 8:19Speaker 5: matter what, as they're flipping around a million times. But
- 8:23Speaker 5: what she did see on her clapback, which again, I
- 8:25Speaker 5: thought was very interesting. She's like, basically like my hair
- 8:28Speaker 5: didn't look like this when I left. It looked like
- 8:31Speaker 5: this after I got into a bus for 45 minutes
- 8:37Speaker 5: to go to the event. where we are going to
- 8:40Speaker 5: compete for the medals, not just like a practice. In
- 8:44Speaker 5: the bus for 45 minutes, there was no air conditioning.
- 8:48Speaker 5: I don't think you guys want to see my hair
- 8:51Speaker 5: after 45 minutes of no air conditioning. I mean, there's
- 8:53Speaker 5: been times when I've had to do stand-up and I've
- 8:55Speaker 5: had to like maybe leave a Uber and then walk
- 8:59Speaker 5: to a theater and it might be a little humid.
- 9:01Speaker 5: And I'm like, oh my God, what the hell? How
- 9:04Speaker 5: am I getting on stage and look like this?
- 9:06Speaker 1: And so, yeah, it bugs. Should she look at this stuff?
- 9:09Speaker 1: Should she care?
- 9:10Speaker 5: She has, you know, a hot husband, a million medals,
- 9:13Speaker 5: beloved by all. But it does bug because you're like,
- 9:16Speaker 5: I would like you to know the facts behind the
- 9:17Speaker 5: fact that maybe my hair wasn't its cutest that day.
- 9:20Speaker 2: So.
- 9:22Speaker 1: This is what these people have to deal with. Okay,
- 9:24Speaker 1: now I have been dying.
- 9:26Speaker 5: To talk to you guys about this subject that has
- 9:29Speaker 5: just taken over social media. So this is why I'm
- 9:34Speaker 5: going to really introduce it to you guys, because I
- 9:37Speaker 5: know for many of you, you're not on TikTok, you're
- 9:39Speaker 5: not on Instagram, but it's very interesting stuff. I have
- 9:44Speaker 5: mentioned this phenomenon called tradwife, it's short for traditional wife,
- 9:50Speaker 5: and with the rise of social media and moms showing
- 9:56Speaker 5: videos of what they do in their home, whether it's
- 9:58Speaker 5: get ready with me or doing my makeup or how
- 10:01Speaker 5: I organize my kids' playroom, whatever, there's a lot of
- 10:06Speaker 5: young women who are also Mormon who have really exploded
- 10:11Speaker 5: on Instagram and sharing their lives. And for some of them,
- 10:15Speaker 5: it's a very traditional life. Not in just the fact
- 10:19Speaker 5: that they don't work outside the home and raise their
- 10:22Speaker 5: kids and maybe breastfeed. I'm talking traditional like Little House
- 10:26Speaker 5: on the Prairie, like pioneer women for real, like making
- 10:30Speaker 5: their own bread and gummies.
- 10:33Speaker 1: And it's crazy.
- 10:35Speaker 5: So let's talk about the one that I'm going to
- 10:36Speaker 5: really talk about who had this controversial article written about her.
- 10:40Speaker 5: Goes by the name on Instagram, Ballerina Farms, because at
- 10:43Speaker 5: one time she was a ballerina. She often dances around
- 10:46Speaker 5: her farm as well. And then she got married and
- 10:51Speaker 5: has eight kids. Now let me just tell you a
- 10:53Speaker 5: little bit about her. So she was at Juilliard.
- 10:57Speaker 1: She was a ballerina. That was her dream to live
- 10:59Speaker 1: in New York and be a ballerina.
- 11:01Speaker 5: I don't know that that part was known before this
- 11:04Speaker 5: journalist did an article about her, came to her farm
- 11:08Speaker 5: and did an article about she and her family took
- 11:11Speaker 5: photographs for this, the London Times. So I think she
- 11:16Speaker 5: was really excited to have this, you know.
- 11:19Speaker 1: This big article written about her.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Anyway, in telling about her life, the woman asked, did
- 11:26Speaker 5: you always want to live on a farm? So now
- 11:28Speaker 5: they live on this farm in Utah. She and the husband,
- 11:31Speaker 5: they're very attractive, eight kids. And her content, she has
- 11:36Speaker 5: 8 million followers, is the fact that they have cows,
- 11:40Speaker 5: they have, you know, they make their own meat, all
- 11:43Speaker 5: their dairy. And in all these videos that she does,
- 11:47Speaker 5: which really is the pattern of a lot of people's
- 11:49Speaker 5: videos in their homes, like where they show a bunch
- 11:52Speaker 5: of things, waking up, wiping their kid's face, making a
- 11:56Speaker 5: cup of coffee, and then you hear them do a
- 11:58Speaker 5: voiceover like, hi, I'd like to tell.
- 12:00Speaker 1: You what a day in life is when you're raising
- 12:02Speaker 1: four boys.
- 12:03Speaker 5: First I wake up and then, you know, and that's
- 12:08Speaker 5: why this stuff works. You're like looking in people's homes.
- 12:11Speaker 5: It's different than why reality shows popped up. 15, 20
- 12:15Speaker 5: years ago. That was really intriguing to us. Now it's
- 12:18Speaker 5: even more intriguing to see every aspect of someone else's
- 12:21Speaker 5: home life from their kids to their marriage to how
- 12:24Speaker 5: they do their underwear drawer, all of it.
- 12:26Speaker 1: So we see this.
- 12:28Speaker 5: And it just becomes fascinating to a lot of people,
- 12:31Speaker 5: I think especially women, because they're like, okay, how does
- 12:35Speaker 5: she have these eight kids look this amazing? She was
- 12:38Speaker 5: in like a Mrs. pageant where you're married women, beauty pageant.
- 12:43Speaker 5: I think like eight days after giving birth, they're like
- 12:45Speaker 5: her seventh or eighth kid. So she's like lean and gorgeous.
- 12:49Speaker 5: She started having the kids young. But anyway, the reporter
- 12:52Speaker 5: says to her, was this your dream to always like
- 12:55Speaker 5: be on a farm and do everything from scratch and
- 12:58Speaker 5: raise your kids? And she's like, no, actually it was
- 13:01Speaker 5: to live in New York and I was at Juilliard.
- 13:04Speaker 5: And then I met the husband, the guy, and he
- 13:07Speaker 5: pursued me and I wasn't really interested, but he was
- 13:11Speaker 5: determined to meet her.
- 13:12Speaker 1: And what he did was his dad happens to own JetBlue,
- 13:19Speaker 1: the airlines. So essentially he's.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Worth $ 400 million. He and his family, or maybe just
- 13:25Speaker 5: him alone, I don't know what the trust fund situation is,
- 13:28Speaker 5: but he's worth a lot of money and they're Mormon.
- 13:30Speaker 1: So he's interested in her.
- 13:31Speaker 5: So somehow he found out that she was going on
- 13:34Speaker 5: a flight and he managed to get the exact ticket
- 13:37Speaker 5: next to her. And on that flight, they fell in love.
- 13:40Speaker 5: He wooed her, got her to go out with him.
- 13:43Speaker 5: And then pursued the marriage because in the Mormon religion,
- 13:47Speaker 5: in order to go and be in the celestial afterlife,
- 13:52Speaker 5: you're supposed to not have sex before you're married. So
- 13:55Speaker 5: they got married. I believe maybe she was Mormon before too.
- 13:59Speaker 5: So they get married young. And she's like the first
- 14:02Speaker 5: person at Juilliard to be in the program, being a ballerina,
- 14:06Speaker 5: and being pregnant. So eventually that ends.
- 14:09Speaker 1: She leaves.
- 14:10Speaker 5: And they go to their– to this Utah farm. And
- 14:15Speaker 5: she starts popping out the babies. And in this interview,
- 14:19Speaker 5: she says, I've never had any epidural except for one
- 14:22Speaker 5: time when the husband wasn't around and he doesn't know.
- 14:26Speaker 5: And she's kind of telling the reporter off, you know,
- 14:28Speaker 5: like when the husband's like on a call. Well, one
- 14:31Speaker 5: time I had it and it was pretty wonderful. And
- 14:34Speaker 5: so this, of course, gets put into the article. And
- 14:38Speaker 5: also in the article, the journalist says, I would ask Hannah,
- 14:43Speaker 5: which is the woman's name, a question, and he would interrupt.
- 14:47Speaker 5: And it was like, well, our business and da, da, da.
- 14:50Speaker 5: So the business is all this great food that you see,
- 14:53Speaker 5: now you can order. You can order, you can have
- 14:56Speaker 5: it sent. I don't know if it comes in dry ice.
- 14:58Speaker 5: I remember we used to have things, I mean, I
- 15:00Speaker 5: guess it's like Omaha steaks, which are just like these
- 15:02Speaker 5: really great steaks.
- 15:03Speaker 1: They come to your house.
- 15:04Speaker 5: I don't know if it's a subscription, whatever, but it's
- 15:05Speaker 5: doing amazing. She's won awards for being an entrepreneur. And
- 15:09Speaker 5: for the people that don't order the food, you know,
- 15:12Speaker 5: millions of people just watch it because these videos are just,
- 15:15Speaker 5: you are watching Little House on the Prairie. If you
- 15:19Speaker 5: don't know that show, watch it. It's, it's Bellarita Farms. She,
- 15:23Speaker 5: the kids are all homeschooled. They have a little schoolhouse
- 15:27Speaker 5: like they did in Little House on the Prairies, which
- 15:29Speaker 5: was about the, the families, this family, like the 1800s.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And they all like make food.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Like there's like a 10 year old that was like
- 15:39Speaker 5: making like a homemade rhubarb pie, like from a rhubarb vegetable.
- 15:43Speaker 5: I mean, it's just, but I'm watching this and you know,
- 15:47Speaker 5: I'm always like, God, I got to do more content,
- 15:49Speaker 5: but it's a pain in the ass to film yourself.
- 15:52Speaker 5: And I hate that everybody on TikTok in order to
- 15:54Speaker 5: get views has to be like eating their food with
- 15:57Speaker 5: their mouth open. I want to tell you about the
- 16:01Speaker 5: time that my boyfriend cheated on me.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Like, just tell me the story.
- 16:05Speaker 5: I don't need to see You're, you know, molar, okay?
- 16:08Speaker 5: I don't need to know what you're eating. I don't
- 16:09Speaker 5: know who started that trend.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I don't like it. Just tell me the story. Sometimes
- 16:14Speaker 1: people fake it. They'll be like, so. So when I,
- 16:23Speaker 1: it's so bizarre that.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Like having your mouth open and having us to see
- 16:27Speaker 5: your feet, but these are the things that work.
- 16:30Speaker 1: So you're wondering what's working here.
- 16:32Speaker 5: And I'm watching these videos and I'm like, Okay, not
- 16:35Speaker 5: only is it super time consuming that you're making this meal,
- 16:39Speaker 5: but you've now said they don't have any nannies. They
- 16:41Speaker 5: do have someone who helps clean the house. They don't
- 16:44Speaker 5: have any nannies.
- 16:45Speaker 1: She has eight kids.
- 16:46Speaker 5: Now, the other thing about having this many kids is
- 16:49Speaker 5: this thing called parentification, which I remember there were families
- 16:55Speaker 5: in my Catholic community that, you know, once you have
- 16:57Speaker 5: more than like six kids, oftentimes an older child really
- 17:02Speaker 5: does kind of get assigned to a younger child. And
- 17:05Speaker 5: we saw it happen with the Duggards, which was a
- 17:07Speaker 5: show on TLC or 19 and counting or whatever it was,
- 17:11Speaker 5: where you're sort of assigned your kid and, you know,
- 17:14Speaker 5: and they keep having these kids and it doesn't, for
- 17:17Speaker 5: the older child, it doesn't give them the chance to be,
- 17:20Speaker 5: to have a full childhood. They're changing diapers at six
- 17:23Speaker 5: years old. They're making sure the little one has its
- 17:25Speaker 5: shoes and all this other stuff. So they're like, that
- 17:28Speaker 5: can happen, especially when you don't have nannies and there's
- 17:30Speaker 5: this many kids close together. Other people say, that's a
- 17:34Speaker 5: beautiful family. This is the way it was done, you know, in.
- 17:37Speaker 1: The 1800s, so why not now?
- 17:39Speaker 5: And then other people are like, but we don't have
- 17:41Speaker 5: to make our own sourdough bread. No, you don't, but
- 17:43Speaker 5: she'd like to, so leave her the fuck alone. This
- 17:46Speaker 5: is the kind of, like, conversations going between people commenting
- 17:51Speaker 5: on this person. And guess what she should be commented on?
- 17:54Speaker 5: She has 8 million followers. So I'm sorry, Bellarita Farms,
- 17:59Speaker 5: but you put yourself out there. You featured all your kids.
- 18:03Speaker 5: You make a lot of money, which is great, not
- 18:05Speaker 5: dissing it, but not every opinion you may like, and.
- 18:09Speaker 1: That's just part of putting yourself out there.
- 18:12Speaker 5: So this article comes out, and people are like, oh
- 18:16Speaker 5: my God, I feel so sorry for her. And one
- 18:21Speaker 5: of the things that really upset people was This video
- 18:25Speaker 5: that I think came out a year ago and then
- 18:26Speaker 5: after this article, it resurfaced.
- 18:28Speaker 1: She posted this video, which I thought was interesting.
- 18:32Speaker 5: But I guess for people that avidly follow Bellarita Farms,
- 18:36Speaker 5: she said, I want to go to Greece.
- 18:37Speaker 1: I want to go to Greece. I hope I can
- 18:38Speaker 1: go to Greece.
- 18:39Speaker 5: And so the husband appears to be filming her why
- 18:42Speaker 5: she opens this gift. And she's like, hope it's tickets
- 18:46Speaker 5: to Greece. And she starts to open it and she
- 18:50Speaker 5: sees a little cloth and she goes, I hope this
- 18:52Speaker 5: is a hat that I can wear to Greece. And
- 18:54Speaker 5: she's like, oh, it's my egg apron. And it's a
- 18:58Speaker 5: little apron that has cloth where each egg can fit in.
- 19:03Speaker 5: I lived a Bellarita Farms life for about three or
- 19:07Speaker 5: four years when we had chickens. And I did like
- 19:12Speaker 5: pretending I was a farmer and I would go and
- 19:14Speaker 5: I would just take my shirt and like put the
- 19:16Speaker 5: eggs in there. And it really is kind of fun.
- 19:19Speaker 1: That's something I want to do all day. And you
- 19:22Speaker 1: know what?
- 19:23Speaker 5: My kids ate so many eggs that eventually we still
- 19:26Speaker 5: had to go to Trader Joe's and Ralph's. And then
- 19:29Speaker 5: when the chickens ended their lives, not by their own volition,
- 19:34Speaker 5: but by like coyotes and things that happened and just
- 19:37Speaker 5: pecking order. I don't want to get into it. Peter
- 19:40Speaker 5: and I were like, I think we're just going to
- 19:42Speaker 5: continue to go to Ralph's. Like that was fun. It
- 19:44Speaker 5: was a cool thing to do. All the stars were
- 19:47Speaker 5: pretending to be farmers. And I was like, let me
- 19:49Speaker 5: try to. But this chick is like a real farmer.
- 19:52Speaker 5: And it is a pretty cute apron.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Okay.
- 19:55Speaker 5: So she's like, and the little kid's like, don't you
- 19:57Speaker 5: love it, mom? And to a little kid, they would
- 19:59Speaker 5: think you love it because all they see you do
- 20:01Speaker 5: is like cook and do that. And so they, you know,
- 20:03Speaker 5: and then she's like, oh, I love it. Then she
- 20:05Speaker 5: does her little dance and he's like, finally, got to
- 20:07Speaker 5: thank you after, you know, a minute and a half
- 20:09Speaker 5: of it.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Anyway, so I'm getting into this and I'm like, why
- 20:14Speaker 1: would she post this a year ago? How could she
- 20:19Speaker 1: not see that? I don't know. Is she the smartest
- 20:23Speaker 1: person in the world? Is she the dumbest?
- 20:24Speaker 5: Which is what I ask all the time when certain
- 20:28Speaker 5: viral videos and things happen. Was this luck or was
- 20:31Speaker 5: this like a thing.
- 20:33Speaker 1: A marketing thing?
- 20:35Speaker 5: I see, I have come to the conclusion that it's
- 20:39Speaker 5: a little bit of both. This is her life, but
- 20:41Speaker 5: this is a marketing thing. I don't know about her,
- 20:44Speaker 5: but this other girl, this beautiful model, she's also only
- 20:48Speaker 5: 24 with three kids. She married her husband at 19.
- 20:51Speaker 5: They're both models. And her name is Nora Smith. And
- 20:56Speaker 5: she is a legit like runway model. But she and
- 20:59Speaker 5: her three adorable children and hot husband named Lucky, they
- 21:03Speaker 5: also have like 8 million followers. And she cooks everything
- 21:07Speaker 5: from scratch. while wearing Chanel and clothes and everything, because
- 21:11Speaker 5: she's a real model, so I'm sure they give it
- 21:14Speaker 5: to her.
- 21:15Speaker 1: And she's got this, like, really affected voice. And in
- 21:19Speaker 1: her voiceover, she's.
- 21:20Speaker 6: Like, So today my husband said that he was craving
- 21:24Speaker 6: a piece of gum.
- 21:25Speaker 1: And I said, Okay.
- 21:27Speaker 6: I got out of bed. I made my children their homemade.
- 21:32Speaker 6: First I had to make their homemade goldfish.
- 21:35Speaker 1: And she does. She makes goldfish.
- 21:36Speaker 5: From scratch and shows it in a video. And in
- 21:40Speaker 5: this video, the angle is from here. The angle is
- 21:44Speaker 5: over the bowl. The angle is from across the thing.
- 21:49Speaker 5: And then we see the final product. But the way
- 21:52Speaker 5: the video is, it sounds like the kid asked for goldfish.
- 21:55Speaker 5: And then, you know, within seven minutes, the kid had
- 21:57Speaker 5: a homemade goldfish.
- 21:58Speaker 7: Okay.
- 21:58Speaker 5: Well, we know that's not true. But so there's been
- 22:01Speaker 5: a lot of parodies about.
- 22:02Speaker 1: It and whatnot.
- 22:04Speaker 5: I 100% believe being that she was already a model,
- 22:07Speaker 5: I think there's a whole secret team behind her. I
- 22:10Speaker 5: think this team comes in with chefs and cooks and things.
- 22:15Speaker 1: This is what I think.
- 22:17Speaker 5: And I still think she's a great mom. I still
- 22:19Speaker 5: think she likes to cook, but it's not humanly possible
- 22:22Speaker 5: that she could do all this, not have any care
- 22:25Speaker 5: and do this level of cooking, film it and edit
- 22:28Speaker 5: it and put it out with no help, okay? And
- 22:31Speaker 5: so I think a team comes in and they have
- 22:33Speaker 5: a day or two Of all day filming, costume changes,
- 22:37Speaker 5: someone is watching the kids, the husband or somebody. People are,
- 22:42Speaker 5: you know, going, okay, now cut these carrots. Now do this.
- 22:45Speaker 5: But the way it's edited, it really looks like she's
- 22:48Speaker 5: done it all herself and she just propped up the
- 22:50Speaker 5: phone like this. I appreciate that she's not, you know,
- 22:53Speaker 5: when she takes a bite of the food, it's one
- 22:55Speaker 5: bite and she's gorgeous. I don't mind Bethany Frankel being like,
- 22:59Speaker 5: it's on the level.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Like it's just, anyway, so.
- 23:04Speaker 5: And then there's like a couple– there's many other women
- 23:06Speaker 5: that are doing this that are like got married young.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Now, some are Mormon. Some are Christian. Some of them,
- 23:12Speaker 1: it's not about the religion.
- 23:13Speaker 5: They're like, I think we were sold a whatever, a
- 23:19Speaker 5: false thing of goods about wanting to be an independent
- 23:24Speaker 5: woman and have a career and everything because we– then
- 23:28Speaker 5: who's watching our kids?
- 23:29Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 23:31Speaker 5: If you ask any kid, who would you– or an adult,
- 23:35Speaker 5: if you were to ask an adult. I saw this
- 23:37Speaker 5: on like an Oprah or something from years back. I
- 23:39Speaker 5: think it was Dr.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Laura.
- 23:41Speaker 5: She was also pushing the trad life life in the
- 23:45Speaker 5: 80s and 90s before anyone talked about it. She said, well, yeah,
- 23:51Speaker 5: you're putting your kid in daycare so that you can
- 23:53Speaker 5: have a career, but ask yourself this. If you could
- 23:56Speaker 5: go back to being a child, would you want your
- 23:58Speaker 5: mom to be caring for you? Would you want to
- 24:00Speaker 5: be at a daycare? And everyone's like, and it is,
- 24:05Speaker 5: you know, I've talked about it. It's like really so
- 24:08Speaker 5: interesting for someone who is my age because my mom
- 24:15Speaker 5: was home with the five kids. She had an education.
- 24:19Speaker 5: She was a college graduate. She worked in advertising. She
- 24:22Speaker 5: was home with the five kids. And then my dad
- 24:25Speaker 5: was in advertising and every time they'd lose an account,
- 24:29Speaker 5: he was out of work and it was a lot
- 24:31Speaker 5: of stress. And so she's like, I'm going to go
- 24:34Speaker 5: look for a job. So she tried to get a
- 24:35Speaker 5: job at the local newspaper and she saw how little
- 24:37Speaker 5: it paid.
- 24:38Speaker 1: And so she's like, I'm going to get my real
- 24:40Speaker 1: estate license.
- 24:41Speaker 5: And then when she got a real estate license when
- 24:42Speaker 5: I was about six or seven, it was just like
- 24:45Speaker 5: she wasn't there. And I remember being the youngest of
- 24:47Speaker 5: five and saying, it's not fair that they got you all.
- 24:52Speaker 5: My brothers and sisters got you till 17, 14, and
- 24:56Speaker 5: I only got you for six years. I literally said
- 24:58Speaker 5: this to her. I still feel guilty about it, but
- 25:02Speaker 5: it's the way I felt. Like my fondest memories was
- 25:04Speaker 5: like this one day that her car broke down and
- 25:08Speaker 5: she had to walk all the way to the school
- 25:11Speaker 5: to pick me up so that we could walk home together.
- 25:13Speaker 5: That day of walking home is like.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Like the best memory of my life.
- 25:20Speaker 3: So like when I see these women today kind of
- 25:23Speaker 3: struggling with like, oh, well, if I want to stay
- 25:26Speaker 3: home with my kids, you know, there's a group of
- 25:29Speaker 3: women online that say you're making a mistake. But then
- 25:32Speaker 3: I also know why women were told to work because
- 25:37Speaker 3: they saw their women in the 70s and 80s give
- 25:40Speaker 3: up their life for their kids and their husband. And
- 25:43Speaker 3: then when they got to about 45 and the kids
- 25:45Speaker 3: were off to college, they And if the marriage broke
- 25:47Speaker 3: up or they weren't in love with their husband anymore,
- 25:49Speaker 3: it's not like the husband always dumped on them. They
- 25:51Speaker 3: might not be in love with their husband anymore or
- 25:52Speaker 3: they want to leave. They couldn't leave because they didn't
- 25:56Speaker 3: spend the last 20 years building up a business profession
- 25:59Speaker 3: or a career. When I was young, the media affected
- 26:03Speaker 3: my choices just like the women watching these things are
- 26:07Speaker 3: affecting theirs, whether to get a career and not have
- 26:10Speaker 3: kids or find a great guy so that they can
- 26:13Speaker 3: stay home with their kids. Right.
- 26:15Speaker 5: For me, it was a show called One Day at
- 26:17Speaker 5: a Time. And it was a Norman Lear sitcom, which
- 26:21Speaker 5: he's this brilliant guy. He did all these great shows
- 26:26Speaker 5: of the time. And even though they were comedies, they
- 26:28Speaker 5: were very much about the social thing that was going
- 26:32Speaker 5: on in the world at the time. And One Day
- 26:34Speaker 5: at a Time was with Bonnie Franklin and Valerie Bertinelli
- 26:37Speaker 5: and Mackenzie Phillips. And those were her two daughters and
- 26:39Speaker 5: they were like 14 and 16 or something. And she's,
- 26:44Speaker 5: and it's like, you know, one day at a time,
- 26:47Speaker 5: one day at a time. Now, wop on your feet,
- 26:48Speaker 5: wop on your feet.
- 26:50Speaker 1: And they show her packing a station.
- 26:53Speaker 5: Wagon, leaving the home with the husband, taking the two
- 26:56Speaker 5: daughters and getting this small apartment. And she's 34 years
- 27:00Speaker 5: old and she has no education. She got married at 17.
- 27:04Speaker 5: She doesn't have a college career and she's going to
- 27:07Speaker 5: try to make it in advertising. And every episode is like, Oh,
- 27:10Speaker 5: but what were you doing the last 20 years? And
- 27:13Speaker 5: you don't have an education. And it's so much struggle
- 27:15Speaker 5: for her. And she's raising these two teenage girls. They
- 27:18Speaker 5: never see their dad. It seems like they don't get
- 27:20Speaker 5: a dollar from the dad. And I remember being like, oh,
- 27:24Speaker 5: my God, I don't want that to be me. And
- 27:26Speaker 5: even my mom would be like, you've got to get
- 27:28Speaker 5: an education. No one can take your education away from
- 27:30Speaker 5: you no matter what. Have a career, blah, blah, blah.
- 27:34Speaker 5: And then so then there was a generation of, you know,
- 27:37Speaker 5: women that were like, oh, well, you know, you've got
- 27:41Speaker 5: to work and then take care of the kids. And
- 27:43Speaker 5: people are like, no, it's a luxury and it's a
- 27:45Speaker 5: flex to say I have a wealthy enough husband that
- 27:48Speaker 5: I can stay home. And most people don't. So then
- 27:51Speaker 5: they're like, well, stop flexing that you can stay home.
- 27:53Speaker 5: The only reason you can stay home is because your
- 27:55Speaker 5: husband's rich and wealthy. you know, you wouldn't want to
- 27:58Speaker 5: sell insurance either. So that is where I think like
- 28:01Speaker 5: women have always been so judgmental of each other, whether
- 28:04Speaker 5: it's a stay at home mom or the working mom
- 28:07Speaker 5: and the feelings that.
- 28:08Speaker 1: You get at school. And I've talked a lot about it.
- 28:10Speaker 5: And even though I've now at the end of this
- 28:13Speaker 5: and I have successful children to show for it, I
- 28:17Speaker 5: still feel guilty and sad and wonder would, I certainly
- 28:23Speaker 5: wouldn't have this career if I didn't go to work
- 28:25Speaker 5: full-time when my kids were, let me see how old, seven,
- 28:31Speaker 5: four and a half, and one and a half. I
- 28:33Speaker 5: went to a full-time job. I was gone all day
- 28:36Speaker 5: to work on a TV show, Chelsea Lately.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Without that, there was no way.
- 28:41Speaker 5: I would be sitting here today making money, doing this thing,
- 28:45Speaker 5: and Now with all my kids growing up and being gone,
- 28:49Speaker 5: I have this great fun career. I have this way
- 28:52Speaker 5: of making money no matter what happens with my marriage.
- 28:55Speaker 1: So it's great.
- 28:56Speaker 5: But do I still feel sad that I didn't get
- 29:00Speaker 5: to be at all the things in preschool and kindergarten
- 29:03Speaker 5: and all that stuff?
- 29:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 29:05Speaker 5: Will I ever really know how it affected my kids?
- 29:07Speaker 5: Will my kids ever really tell me? Maybe I don't
- 29:10Speaker 5: want them to. It's just like, I know this is
- 29:13Speaker 5: like a weird episode, but I think it's like, I
- 29:17Speaker 5: wanted to just share my perspective because I'm a woman
- 29:20Speaker 5: of a certain age.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I've been married. I have kids.
- 29:23Speaker 5: My mom was a working mom, but we believed in
- 29:27Speaker 5: a traditional life as far as like we, you know,
- 29:29Speaker 5: are Catholic and were Catholic.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I was raised Catholic. So it's like I don't want
- 29:33Speaker 1: to be mean.
- 29:35Speaker 5: I see the pressure that some of these Mormon and
- 29:38Speaker 5: Christian women are getting from this other side of women being.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Like, how sad.
- 29:43Speaker 5: So the whole thing is how sad that she's not
- 29:46Speaker 5: a ballerina anymore. Well, listen, you're not going to be
- 29:50Speaker 5: a ballerina forever. Could she have stayed at New York
- 29:53Speaker 5: and had some fun and had a Sex and the
- 29:55Speaker 5: City life, which I also think Sex and the City
- 29:57Speaker 5: was a show that really I think shaped a lot
- 30:01Speaker 5: of women's lives to not want to get married and
- 30:03Speaker 5: have kids and want to pursue their fun in the city.
- 30:07Speaker 5: How many women have I met that are young that
- 30:08Speaker 5: are like, after growing up watching Sex and the City,
- 30:11Speaker 5: I couldn't wait to come to New York and have
- 30:12Speaker 5: my fun time? And I hope that they did, and
- 30:15Speaker 5: I hope they had a great time, and I think
- 30:16Speaker 5: it's fabulous. Just like I didn't want to be Bonnie
- 30:19Speaker 5: Franklin in One Day at a Time. It's like there
- 30:21Speaker 5: are things that you see, whether it's on TV– or whatnot,
- 30:25Speaker 5: but the media, whatever the media is at the time,
- 30:28Speaker 5: for me, it was just normal TV, whatever, seven channels
- 30:31Speaker 5: at the time. For other people, it's all these videos
- 30:35Speaker 5: you see on TikTok and Instagram of seeing people and
- 30:37Speaker 5: being like, what do I want my life to be?
- 30:40Speaker 5: The next video you'll see is a girl that's dressed chic,
- 30:43Speaker 5: having the time of her life, happily single, happily childless,
- 30:48Speaker 5: living the New York life, going on trips with her girlfriends,
- 30:51Speaker 5: and you're like, that's what I want. I'm just saying
- 30:55Speaker 5: we can all have a choice, no matter what you are,
- 30:58Speaker 5: a man or woman, whatever your gender is.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Have kids, not have kids. Do it in the way
- 31:02Speaker 1: you want. Do it alone. Do it with someone. Do
- 31:04Speaker 1: it with three people. I don't know.
- 31:06Speaker 5: You have the choice. But the conversation is juicy. The
- 31:09Speaker 5: conversation is interesting. And it's not bad that we're having
- 31:13Speaker 5: this conversation. Now, I would say to this, yeah, did
- 31:16Speaker 5: she continue being a ballerina? Was she able to go
- 31:20Speaker 5: on stage and in traveling places? Broadway play or whatever
- 31:23Speaker 5: as a ballerina? No, because she got pregnant and she
- 31:26Speaker 5: had all these kids. But let me tell you, 8
- 31:29Speaker 5: million people in her lifetime would have never seen her
- 31:33Speaker 5: dance on stage in Broadway or anywhere else. But they
- 31:37Speaker 5: see her twirl around her kitchen and make her dishes
- 31:41Speaker 5: and make her food. And if she doesn't really want
- 31:45Speaker 5: the chatter anymore, if she can't take it, or if
- 31:48Speaker 5: she doesn't have the discipline not to look at the comments,
- 31:51Speaker 5: She has this business.
- 31:53Speaker 1: She has the money. She could just stop.
- 31:55Speaker 5: Doing these videos and still you could buy her ballerina
- 31:59Speaker 5: farm's food.
- 32:00Speaker 1: But I think she loves it. I think she did
- 32:03Speaker 1: always want to be a star. That's why she's a performer.
- 32:06Speaker 1: She loves to dance. But the way that people are thinking.
- 32:09Speaker 5: That she's like suffering and like, you know, that people
- 32:13Speaker 5: play this, they think that she's the ballerina that you
- 32:16Speaker 5: keep in a box or some weird song about a
- 32:18Speaker 5: guy that's like, oh, I wanted a ballerina and I
- 32:20Speaker 5: kept her in a box. I mean, the only thing
- 32:24Speaker 5: I'm hoping for her is that she has a really
- 32:26Speaker 5: good lawyer and possibly a post up just for her
- 32:29Speaker 5: own protection. Because when you marry someone that wealthy, that
- 32:32Speaker 5: comes from a trust, I don't know if this farm
- 32:34Speaker 5: is in both their names. It might be in his
- 32:36Speaker 5: family trust. Meaning if they break up, she might not
- 32:39Speaker 5: get it. So it's really good that she built a business.
- 32:42Speaker 5: And numerous times he said, it's both of our business.
- 32:45Speaker 5: It's both of our business. Other people would say, it
- 32:47Speaker 5: should be just her business. She's the face of it.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Well, whatever.
- 32:50Speaker 5: It's both of their businesses. I hope they stay married forever.
- 32:53Speaker 5: My bet would be that they would. But if anything happened,
- 32:57Speaker 5: she does have a business now. She will be fine
- 32:59Speaker 5: regardless of how much money his family has and how
- 33:01Speaker 5: many top attorneys they have if in fact she wanted
- 33:04Speaker 5: to leave. But she has eight kids. She's not going
- 33:07Speaker 5: to want to leave. I don't understand why she couldn't
- 33:10Speaker 5: go to Greece.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I don't understand.
- 33:11Speaker 5: I almost feel like that apron thing was a way
- 33:15Speaker 5: to get more eyes on it. This whole article that
- 33:18Speaker 5: was supposedly negative about her got so many people realizing
- 33:21Speaker 5: who she was and so many people that might be
- 33:24Speaker 5: like oh my god I love that she is this
- 33:26Speaker 5: homemade maker mom whatever whether camera crew comes in or
- 33:30Speaker 5: not I don't know she seems like she is actually
- 33:33Speaker 5: filming it so I don't know when she's filming and
- 33:34Speaker 5: editing herself that I didn't catch that part in the
- 33:38Speaker 5: article who does all the social media after the negative
- 33:41Speaker 5: article came out in which I think she thought this
- 33:43Speaker 5: woman was going to think she was great then wrote
- 33:44Speaker 5: the whole thing of like you're Your life is pathetic
- 33:47Speaker 5: and you're a victim. And people are writing he has
- 33:49Speaker 5: serial killer eyes and whatever. Then she didn't post for
- 33:55Speaker 5: a while. And then she did a post and she
- 33:58Speaker 5: and it was just I love this life. And, you know,
- 34:01Speaker 5: it was videos of she and her husband dancing around,
- 34:04Speaker 5: taking one of the kids to the latest like goat
- 34:07Speaker 5: cage or whatever.
- 34:08Speaker 1: It was, things on the farm. And she said, I
- 34:10Speaker 1: love it.
- 34:11Speaker 5: And I mean, I think these people are getting the
- 34:14Speaker 5: last laugh, but I think the conversation is fascinating and
- 34:16Speaker 5: that's why I wanted to do it on the show
- 34:18Speaker 5: for a solo.
- 34:19Speaker 1: So tell me what you think. I'm sure you will.
- 34:22Speaker 1: From morning swims.
- 34:23Speaker 7: In Sandy Cove to coffee in Ranala or walks along
- 34:26Speaker 7: Sandy Mount Strand. At a certain point, where you live
- 34:30Speaker 7: shapes how you live.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Maybe you want.
- 34:32Speaker 7: More space, a shorter commute or simply somewhere that feels
- 34:35Speaker 7: more like where you are now. On daft.ie, you can
- 34:39Speaker 7: explore the most sought-after homes for sale across South Dublin.
- 34:43Speaker 7: When you're ready for the next chapter, start with Ireland's
- 34:46Speaker 7: number one property platform.
- 34:49Speaker 2: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 34:53Speaker 2: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 34:56Speaker 2: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 35:01Speaker 2: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 35:03Speaker 7: Life is one long lesson of chaos. I'm heading to
- 35:07Speaker 7: the Emmys, and I have police complaints filed against me.
- 35:10Speaker 7: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 35:12Speaker 7: what would you do if it was given back?
- 35:14Speaker 2: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 35:17Speaker 2: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 35:20Speaker 7: He said, I have a work debt.
- 35:21Speaker 2: I need a home debt. What happens next?
- 35:23Speaker 3: When I came in, he started crying.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 35:29Speaker 2: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 35:32Speaker 2: happens next.
- 35:33Speaker 1: I decided to risk it all.
- 35:34Speaker 3: I realized how valuable every day was.
- 35:36Speaker 6: You're worth the work.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Listen.
- 35:38Speaker 7: Star, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 35:39Speaker 1: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 35:42Speaker 2: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 35:56Speaker 1: Okay, Real Housewives of OC. So, oh gosh. Well, Vicky's
- 36:00Speaker 1: in trouble, you guys. Vicky, we're going to Mexico!
- 36:05Speaker 5: She's had this insurance company, Kodo Insurance. since the beginning.
- 36:09Speaker 1: That is what we saw. The first pilot episode was her.
- 36:13Speaker 5: Being an independent woman because she was divorced and on
- 36:16Speaker 5: her second marriage running this insurance company, always telling everybody, you.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Got to work, you got to work.
- 36:21Speaker 7: I work.
- 36:21Speaker 1: These other women don't work.
- 36:22Speaker 4: I work.
- 36:23Speaker 5: But she stayed on the show for 17 years. Now
- 36:26Speaker 5: we know they make a lot of money on the show,
- 36:28Speaker 5: but they don't get residuals. And so she's always kept
- 36:31Speaker 5: the Kodo insurance going. She's got people under her. Let's
- 36:34Speaker 5: also remember that she had a boyfriend named Brooks. who
- 36:37Speaker 5: claimed he had cancer, and she claimed that she always
- 36:40Speaker 5: believed he had cancer. And Meghan King Edmonds realized he didn't,
- 36:45Speaker 5: and she bought him some teeth and kicked him out
- 36:47Speaker 5: the door, and he got married to somebody else. And
- 36:50Speaker 5: she said, I didn't know if he had cancer or not.
- 36:53Speaker 5: I thought people would bring me a casserole. I thought
- 36:55Speaker 5: we'd get some casseroles, some tuna casseroles at.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Our door, and we didn't. So now she is like
- 37:01Speaker 1: a friend of the show, or I don't even know.
- 37:03Speaker 1: She's kind of on it.
- 37:04Speaker 5: But this woman is suing her, saying that she used
- 37:08Speaker 5: her services and her husband had died and she was
- 37:12Speaker 5: elderly and she wanted to get this policy. Now, the
- 37:15Speaker 5: intricacies of this is big. The point is she feels
- 37:18Speaker 5: that Vicki put her into an insurance policy, an annuity
- 37:23Speaker 5: that was not good for her, that it was not
- 37:27Speaker 5: a great move for someone of this age, 74 years old,
- 37:31Speaker 5: with this health. She's paid hundreds of thousands of dollars.
- 37:33Speaker 1: In premiums, up to a million.
- 37:36Speaker 5: And what she would get from it if she died
- 37:38Speaker 5: tomorrow is not even what she paid. These are all
- 37:40Speaker 5: the things that I have read. And I am not
- 37:43Speaker 5: saying what I'm saying is 100% true because I don't
- 37:45Speaker 5: sell insurance and I'm not a financial planner. But the
- 37:48Speaker 5: point is, being that she's a public figure on the show,
- 37:51Speaker 5: this article is out. There was also another elderly person
- 37:54Speaker 5: who sued her for elder abuse. And I don't know
- 37:56Speaker 5: where that story went. And she got very upset when
- 38:00Speaker 5: Someone said to her that she was a con woman
- 38:02Speaker 5: and she's.
- 38:02Speaker 7: Like, I'm not a con woman.
- 38:04Speaker 5: I haven't had a threesome and I've never had sex
- 38:07Speaker 5: with multiple people in my life.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Who sends a family van? Who sends a family van for.
- 38:14Speaker 4: Seven people to go to the airport?
- 38:15Speaker 1: So here's my thing. If you're going to be on
- 38:19Speaker 1: one of these shows, I think you got to pick
- 38:21Speaker 1: one or the other. I really do.
- 38:25Speaker 5: I know it can work out. And the same thing
- 38:27Speaker 5: has happened with Lisa Vanderpump. We wouldn't know about her
- 38:30Speaker 5: restaurants and whatnot. But when people sue Lisa Vanderpump for
- 38:34Speaker 5: being her employees or whatever, it kind of looks bad
- 38:37Speaker 5: on her character. And then we're supposed to love her
- 38:40Speaker 5: on the show. But then we're like, but she had
- 38:42Speaker 5: that weird lawsuit. Oh, was that guy money hungry?
- 38:44Speaker 1: Whatever. This, I think, is a problem.
- 38:48Speaker 5: And it's just unfortunate that now it's out there because–
- 38:54Speaker 5: I'm sure she's going to say I did an okay thing.
- 38:56Speaker 5: But if you really want to explore it, it sounds
- 38:57Speaker 5: a little shady to me. It sounds a little shady
- 39:00Speaker 5: to me. So she probably just wants to go away.
- 39:04Speaker 5: I'm sure she's not thrilled I'm talking about it. But
- 39:06Speaker 5: I have to talk about it because, you know, I've
- 39:08Speaker 5: been put into a similar situation like this. And it
- 39:11Speaker 5: wasn't this much money and I was young, but it
- 39:13Speaker 5: wasn't a great choice. And I– you know, but with
- 39:17Speaker 5: an elderly person, they– If they don't want to lean
- 39:21Speaker 5: on a family member or whatnot and ask, is this
- 39:24Speaker 5: a good idea or not, they might be taken by someone.
- 39:28Speaker 1: And that is what elderly abuse is.
- 39:30Speaker 3: Is.
- 39:30Speaker 5: A guy that comes and sells your grandmother a $ 2, 000 vacuum.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Like that happened to Peter's grandmother. And that was a
- 39:37Speaker 1: long time ago.
- 39:37Speaker 5: And the vacuum was $ 2, 000 at her house with a
- 39:40Speaker 5: thousand square feet.
- 39:41Speaker 1: But she was so excited that this guy was stopping
- 39:42Speaker 1: by and giving her attention. And that's what happened. So
- 39:45Speaker 1: you don't want that to happen to anybody in your life.
- 39:48Speaker 5: And then when you see that someone you know on
- 39:50Speaker 5: TV that you think is funny and cool and you
- 39:53Speaker 5: read the details of this, you're like, yeah, I don't
- 39:56Speaker 5: think that was the best policy for this woman.
- 39:58Speaker 1: I really don't.
- 39:59Speaker 5: I don't know why she put her into it, but
- 40:01Speaker 5: there's different players into it. So she's going to have
- 40:04Speaker 5: to deal with that. Also on Real Housewives of OC,
- 40:07Speaker 5: we know that we have, you know, the new character, Jen.
- 40:11Speaker 5: She gets evicted from her house because she couldn't pay
- 40:15Speaker 5: the rent afterwards. She was one of those girls that
- 40:18Speaker 5: got married, didn't have a career and raised her kids.
- 40:22Speaker 5: And then when she decided she wasn't into her husband
- 40:25Speaker 5: anymore and started cheating with her current boyfriend at the gym,
- 40:28Speaker 5: that guy went away. He was working for her family.
- 40:31Speaker 5: The family's like, fuck you. We hate you because our
- 40:34Speaker 5: daughter's divorcing you. So now that ex-husband has no job.
- 40:38Speaker 5: So therefore, he can't give her any money to pay
- 40:40Speaker 5: for her rent. So now she has to go move
- 40:43Speaker 5: in with the boyfriend she met from the gym. And
- 40:45Speaker 5: he's in trouble for doing some illegal booking gambling thing.
- 40:49Speaker 5: Or he's a witness to his partner doing illegal gambling for.
- 40:52Speaker 1: This baseball player.
- 40:54Speaker 5: It's like, that is why I said, do we like
- 40:58Speaker 5: the Real Housewives of American Greed or not?
- 41:00Speaker 1: Because it just doesn't stop. That's what I talked about
- 41:03Speaker 1: on Tuesday. It doesn't stop. So Gina, meanwhile... She was
- 41:08Speaker 1: another one. Where's Gina?
- 41:09Speaker 5: She was another one, got married, raised her three kids,
- 41:12Speaker 5: didn't have a career. Husband cheated on her. There was
- 41:16Speaker 5: a domestic violence situation happened.
- 41:18Speaker 1: They get divorced.
- 41:19Speaker 5: She's on this show. That's not paying enough either. She
- 41:22Speaker 5: has to get a real estate license because she knows
- 41:24Speaker 5: the show's not going to last long. So then Gina goes, oh,
- 41:27Speaker 5: I'll help you, Jen, get a place. So then she vouched.
- 41:32Speaker 5: So that I don't know, I guess maybe the realtor
- 41:35Speaker 5: who had the listing of the lease was like, maybe
- 41:37Speaker 5: she didn't have good credit. Maybe she didn't have a
- 41:39Speaker 5: lot of credit because she goes, I didn't even have
- 41:40Speaker 5: a credit card in my name. So I'm guessing Jen
- 41:43Speaker 5: didn't have a really good credit score or a history
- 41:46Speaker 5: of credit. And then Gina's like, no, I can vouch
- 41:48Speaker 5: for her.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I know her.
- 41:49Speaker 5: She's on Real Housewives of OC. They pay us, da, da, da.
- 41:53Speaker 5: So then she's in that.
- 41:54Speaker 1: House, $ 12, 000 a month.
- 41:56Speaker 5: The ex-husband stops giving her money or stops paying for
- 42:00Speaker 5: the rent. And after not paying for six months, they
- 42:03Speaker 5: finally evict her out. So the owner of that house
- 42:06Speaker 5: is out of six months rent. So that owner of
- 42:09Speaker 5: the house, according to Gina, is not too pleased with Gina.
- 42:12Speaker 5: And Gina's like, I'm the new realtor here. You kind
- 42:15Speaker 5: of fucked me, Jen.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Like, I vouched for you.
- 42:18Speaker 5: And then when I tried to do a deal with
- 42:20Speaker 5: this broker again, she didn't call me back.
- 42:25Speaker 3: So.
- 42:26Speaker 5: That's what we're talking about in OC. And then, of course,
- 42:28Speaker 5: the juiciest stuff is about John Jansen's new girlfriend, Alexis Bellino.
- 42:36Speaker 5: And he, of course, used to date Shannon Bedore. A
- 42:39Speaker 5: lot of people are saying he looks so much happier
- 42:42Speaker 5: with Alexis Bellino than he did with Shannon Bedore. Well,
- 42:45Speaker 5: that is because he got new teeth. Between Shannon and Alexis,
- 42:49Speaker 5: he got a new set of Real Housewives chompers. And
- 42:53Speaker 5: they do look better. So he is a little more smiley.
- 42:56Speaker 5: They say they're passionately in love. They've tried to— they' re on
- 42:59Speaker 5: Carlos King's show, who's a friend of mine, friend of
- 43:02Speaker 5: Jesus Cooper. He's a producer of reality shows. He produced
- 43:06Speaker 5: Real Housewives of New Jersey and has a bunch of
- 43:07Speaker 5: other shows. Anyway, he interviews them. And she's like, he
- 43:12Speaker 5: wasn't thirsted to be on the show. He offered to
- 43:15Speaker 5: pay my salary that I would get from Real Housewives
- 43:18Speaker 5: of OC to not do the show.
- 43:20Speaker 1: But he's doing the show.
- 43:21Speaker 5: So now they're on the show, and he sues Shannon Bedore.
- 43:26Speaker 5: For $ 75, 000 that he says she owes her. He said
- 43:29Speaker 5: he gave.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Her $ 40, 000.
- 43:30Speaker 5: For a facelift and then a $ 35, 000 cash loan for
- 43:37Speaker 5: whatever reason. And she never gave it back to him.
- 43:41Speaker 5: They break up and he's like, I want my money back.
- 43:44Speaker 5: And I guess she was like, I thought that was
- 43:46Speaker 5: a gift, like we were dating. And then I think
- 43:49Speaker 5: Alexis Bellino was like, hello, all she's done is trash
- 43:52Speaker 5: your name on this show, which now I have to
- 43:54Speaker 5: try to repair because I'm on the show. So I'm
- 43:56Speaker 5: going to have to tell the whole world that John Jansen, a.k.a.
- 44:00Speaker 5: Johnny J is what she calls him now, is a
- 44:02Speaker 5: real delight, a smiley, real delight.
- 44:05Speaker 1: So don't believe what Shannon said. You're going to love him.
- 44:09Speaker 5: But so then Shannon goes, fine, I'll give you your money.
- 44:14Speaker 5: But I want you to sign a statement saying that
- 44:17Speaker 5: you can't talk about me or disparage.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Me in any way, anywhere.
- 44:22Speaker 5: And he's like, no, no, I want my money and
- 44:26Speaker 5: I don't want to sign that because I'm on the
- 44:28Speaker 5: show and I need to repair my name that you
- 44:32Speaker 5: trashed either behind the scenes or not. Even if– because
- 44:35Speaker 5: what would happen is Shannon would talk about her relationship
- 44:38Speaker 5: on a phone late at night to one of the girls.
- 44:40Speaker 5: And then when the cameras were around and they were
- 44:42Speaker 5: having coffee, they'd be like, well, Shannon called me last
- 44:44Speaker 5: night and crying about him doing this. So everyone's like
- 44:48Speaker 5: he's a big dick. He's an awful person. And so–
- 44:52Speaker 5: but most people feel like poor Shannon Bedore. Like she
- 44:56Speaker 5: got her DUI. Archie almost was in the car with her.
- 45:00Speaker 5: She's trying to be a good– mom to her kids
- 45:03Speaker 5: and get it going. And then this woman's at her gym,
- 45:07Speaker 5: has her boyfriend. She also got a similar breed of
- 45:11Speaker 5: dog as Archie. So she feels like it's real single
- 45:14Speaker 5: white female in OC. But this is the show to watch.
- 45:20Speaker 5: Of all the shows on Bravo, OC is the one
- 45:23Speaker 5: to watch. Meanwhile, also, there is going to be a
- 45:26Speaker 5: new show. Peacock is doing Real Housewives dating show spinoff
- 45:30Speaker 5: with Luann, Giselle Bryant, Ashley Darby.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Those girls are both from Potomac. They're divorced. And Shanna Bedore.
- 45:39Speaker 5: And there are very little details of what the show
- 45:41Speaker 5: would be, but it's something like at a house, almost.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Like a love island.
- 45:45Speaker 5: So it'll be probably like a love island meets, you know,
- 45:49Speaker 5: Golden Bachelor or Bachelorette. Ashley Darby's young. But So I
- 45:54Speaker 5: think it's going to be them and maybe like, I'm guessing,
- 45:58Speaker 5: and maybe like 15 guys or something are there and
- 46:01Speaker 5: of all like kind of different ages and types and
- 46:04Speaker 5: they go on multiple dates and maybe, you know, I'm
- 46:07Speaker 5: sure they'll manipulate it that there's probably only a couple
- 46:10Speaker 5: good guys. And so hopefully then Shannon and Luann will
- 46:13Speaker 5: kind of be like fighting for the attention of the
- 46:16Speaker 5: guy and the guy will be like, God, I love
- 46:19Speaker 5: Luann's singing, but Shannon is so funny, and she wears
- 46:22Speaker 5: these weird costumes when we go on dates.
- 46:27Speaker 1: That's what I think is going to happen.
- 46:28Speaker 5: But this is good, and I'm excited to ask Luanne
- 46:32Speaker 5: about it. I think it's going– and this starts filming
- 46:35Speaker 5: in September. Meanwhile, poor Brandi Glanville, formerly of Real Housewives
- 46:40Speaker 5: of Beverly Hills and Real Housewives of Morocco, Ultimate Girls Trip,
- 46:45Speaker 5: which we will never see because, as you know, she–
- 46:50Speaker 5: allegedly grabbed Caroline Manzo's genitalia and breasts over her clothes
- 46:56Speaker 5: and tried to kiss her or did kiss her. And
- 46:59Speaker 5: then Caroline is suing Bravo, and Bravo has basically just
- 47:06Speaker 5: not talked about this show at all ever coming to
- 47:08Speaker 5: the light of day, which I don't think it will.
- 47:11Speaker 5: And she said, Brandi, that she is— Threatening to sue
- 47:16Speaker 5: Bravo herself because she said with all the stress of
- 47:20Speaker 5: being accused of this, feeling that Bravo doesn't have her back,
- 47:24Speaker 5: by not showing the show, the public can only hear
- 47:28Speaker 5: the side of the lawsuit, which is Caroline's.
- 47:31Speaker 1: We don't, you know, we're not watching it and going, oh,
- 47:34Speaker 1: it seems like they were laughing and having fun.
- 47:36Speaker 5: So the public, she feels like the public hasn't been
- 47:39Speaker 5: on her side, I guess, because of it, because we
- 47:40Speaker 5: have no other references. She's not getting any other work
- 47:44Speaker 5: because there's this legal thing looming over her. And so unfortunately,
- 47:48Speaker 5: she showed a photo of herself. She's got this, she said,
- 47:52Speaker 5: I have this stress-induced angioedema, which stems from her time
- 47:58Speaker 5: of being on this trip. And I remember that when
- 48:01Speaker 5: she would get stressed, she would break out or pick
- 48:04Speaker 5: at her skin or whatever. So she's one of those
- 48:06Speaker 5: people that I do think her stress does affect her
- 48:08Speaker 5: physical health. I don't know if that could be weighed
- 48:12Speaker 5: in a lawsuit i think she just would like some
- 48:14Speaker 5: type of payout or something for for what she has
- 48:17Speaker 5: lost by feeling very used by bravo travis and jason
- 48:22Speaker 5: kelsey are reportedly seeking a hundred million dollar deal for
- 48:26Speaker 5: their podcast which is the new heights podcast and it
- 48:31Speaker 5: is very popular they say it's number four wonder is
- 48:34Speaker 5: looking out of them we've heard about these huge podcast
- 48:36Speaker 5: deals um with Spotify. And of course, Joe Rogan is
- 48:41Speaker 5: the top dog. But SmartList has gotten these, you know,
- 48:45Speaker 5: 50 million, 60 million, Dax Shepard, 100 million, all these
- 48:49Speaker 5: big deals. I don't really know the details of it.
- 48:51Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 48:52Speaker 5: We also know of the deal that Meghan Markle and
- 48:56Speaker 5: Harry got. And that was a big fucking mistake. But
- 48:59Speaker 5: this is at least a tried and true show and
- 49:01Speaker 5: that they're brothers and they have chemistry and They talk
- 49:05Speaker 5: about sports, and that's never going away, whether he breaks
- 49:08Speaker 5: up with Taylor or not. Definitely Taylor put him on
- 49:11Speaker 5: the map for other people to enjoy, but um it
- 49:15Speaker 5: seems to be a hit and the brother is retiring
- 49:19Speaker 5: jason from football um travis is still going to play
- 49:24Speaker 5: football but then that'll soon end and travis you know
- 49:27Speaker 5: he is an aspiring singer he loves to do karaoke
- 49:31Speaker 5: he loves to sing um i've told you my concerns
- 49:35Speaker 5: about that um i'm okay with him continuing with his
- 49:38Speaker 5: podcast career with his brother.
- 49:40Speaker 1: I'm okay with him playing with football.
- 49:43Speaker 5: And I am okay with him being a talk show host.
- 49:47Speaker 5: He's doing a game show, which I think is kind
- 49:49Speaker 5: of fun. He's a very likable guy. Just don't get
- 49:54Speaker 5: into singing, country, whatever. That is what I think will
- 49:59Speaker 5: hurt your relationship with Taylor. But I think they'll probably
- 50:04Speaker 5: get it if this is out there.
- 50:06Speaker 3: Or....
- 50:08Speaker 5: They want to get it out there so there's like
- 50:10Speaker 5: a bidding war and maybe they even get more. That's
- 50:12Speaker 5: probably what the case is. They also are going to
- 50:14Speaker 5: have their own cereal because why the hell not? I
- 50:16Speaker 5: also think this is a good idea. What grown man
- 50:19Speaker 5: doesn't love some sugary cereal? I know all three of
- 50:23Speaker 5: my grown men in my house love sugary cereal and
- 50:27Speaker 5: milk at all times of day. So good for them.
- 50:30Speaker 5: There's a new book coming out about the Royals. I
- 50:33Speaker 5: know I haven't talked about it a lot, but I
- 50:34Speaker 5: just thought this article was interesting in which this– the
- 50:38Speaker 5: writer of it, which, you know, it's all speculation or,
- 50:41Speaker 5: you know, good sources, whatever, that on the wedding day,
- 50:46Speaker 5: she did not wear, Meghan Markle did not wear any
- 50:49Speaker 5: of Princess Diane's jewelry. According to this person, she wanted to.
- 50:54Speaker 5: But Prince William, who is the heir, said to the spare, Harry, no,
- 51:00Speaker 5: she's not wearing mom's jewelry on her wedding day. Sorry, no,
- 51:05Speaker 5: because according to this, he didn't think the marriage would last.
- 51:09Speaker 5: He didn't want her to have that. I mean, listen,
- 51:13Speaker 5: and you wonder why there was a breakdown in the brotherhood.
- 51:16Speaker 5: I have been raising an heir and a spare. They're
- 51:21Speaker 5: both they're both heirs. But I have sons similar in
- 51:24Speaker 5: age difference. OK, and I think that would be really
- 51:28Speaker 5: annoying to Brandon if for his brother to say, you
- 51:31Speaker 5: can't do this or you can't do that of moms.
- 51:33Speaker 5: Because you're like, just because you were born first, you're
- 51:36Speaker 5: telling me. So I've told my boys, both of them
- 51:41Speaker 5: can each have one of my rings, whether they want
- 51:44Speaker 5: to wear it themselves or give it to somebody.
- 51:46Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 51:46Speaker 5: I'm putting it on the record now. No, the older
- 51:49Speaker 5: one is not going to tell the spare what he
- 51:51Speaker 5: can and cannot do or what his spouse can and
- 51:53Speaker 5: cannot do.
- 51:53Speaker 1: No and no.
- 51:55Speaker 5: So I think it all adds to– I think that
- 51:57Speaker 5: was just one layer of all the other stuff that
- 52:02Speaker 5: broke this family up on both sides, on both.
- 52:06Speaker 1: I could just see it. But this is happening on
- 52:09Speaker 1: the wedding day? Okay. Now, Armie Hammer. Very interesting. Remember
- 52:16Speaker 1: how much we talked.
- 52:17Speaker 5: About Armie Hammer being someone who enjoyed cannibalism and There
- 52:22Speaker 5: was so much with this. He had the cute wife,
- 52:25Speaker 5: the two kids. He came from millions, millions and millions
- 52:28Speaker 5: and millions. He came from a weird fucking family. I
- 52:31Speaker 5: interviewed his aunt, Casey Hammer. She wrote a book that
- 52:35Speaker 5: once it came out that he was, that these girls
- 52:39Speaker 5: came forward, that he was writing, you know, cutting A's
- 52:42Speaker 5: in their body to scar them and telling them to
- 52:45Speaker 5: show up on his doorstep in all fours and all
- 52:47Speaker 5: this weird stuff saying, oh, I'd love to, you know,
- 52:51Speaker 5: take one of your ribs and, you know, eat it
- 52:54Speaker 5: like a barbecued rib on a barbecue, whatever. When all
- 52:57Speaker 5: that happened, it was just, I don't know if it was,
- 53:01Speaker 5: it's weird how some stories just like explode. And I
- 53:03Speaker 5: look back at the time and I'm like, where were
- 53:05Speaker 5: we in COVID when that story broke? And I think
- 53:07Speaker 5: we were like, just like, oh my God, remember how
- 53:09Speaker 5: we're all obsessed with Tiger King and things like that.
- 53:12Speaker 5: Like I do kind of think some things just catch
- 53:14Speaker 5: fire and some things don't. Now this was really weird.
- 53:17Speaker 5: And he was a big actor at the time, and
- 53:19Speaker 5: it was creepy.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Then by the.
- 53:21Speaker 5: Time the documentary came out, it just kind of was
- 53:24Speaker 5: like a thud. At one point we heard he was
- 53:29Speaker 5: doing time, selling timeshares in the Cayman Islands where his
- 53:32Speaker 5: dad had lived for many years and his family. Then she,
- 53:36Speaker 5: the ex-wife, who had this bakery, the Bird's Bakery or something,
- 53:40Speaker 5: she was in contact with his victims. correspondence between she
- 53:49Speaker 5: and one of the alleged victims slash ex-girlfriends saying, you
- 53:53Speaker 5: got to get all the information out because I want
- 53:55Speaker 5: to get full custody and I'm scared for the safety
- 53:57Speaker 5: of my kids. Now she's like, seems to be fine
- 54:00Speaker 5: with him being in her life. I don't know if
- 54:02Speaker 5: she just is like, who cares? Or maybe she doesn't
- 54:04Speaker 5: believe the girls now, or maybe she thought all this
- 54:07Speaker 5: crazy talk was not necessarily real and just like a weird,
- 54:11Speaker 5: sexy kink he has, which is what he said. He
- 54:13Speaker 5: said it was consensual and it was just a weird place.
- 54:16Speaker 5: But He wasn't a great boyfriend and he cheated on
- 54:18Speaker 5: his wife and he had multiple girlfriends at the same time.
- 54:21Speaker 5: So he said, I admit to that, but I wasn't
- 54:23Speaker 5: a creep. I don't really know that he's ever going
- 54:26Speaker 5: to get back into acting. I don't think we need
- 54:28Speaker 5: him in the acting world. I don't think he was
- 54:30Speaker 5: that great. He was really good looking. But as he
- 54:32Speaker 5: gets older, I'm like, whatever. Anyway, the mother now has
- 54:37Speaker 5: done an interview on the Outliner podcast. And she said
- 54:43Speaker 5: she chose to forgive Elizabeth Chambers for having hurt her son.
- 54:47Speaker 5: So she said at one time she acknowledged that Army
- 54:52Speaker 5: had cheated on Elizabeth, his wife, multiple times.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Drew is the mother.
- 54:55Speaker 5: She emphasized her choice to move past any hurt caused
- 54:58Speaker 5: by Chambers. So she was like, well, you hurt me too.
- 55:01Speaker 5: I guess because Chambers at one time was on the
- 55:06Speaker 5: bandwagon to really expose all this creepy shit about Army,
- 55:10Speaker 5: which definitely ruined his career. So– She's like, I seek
- 55:16Speaker 5: forgiveness and reconciliation. And now they share a beautiful relationship.
- 55:21Speaker 5: I also think it's a really weird place for a
- 55:26Speaker 5: mother-in-law once your child divorces their spouse and there's kids.
- 55:31Speaker 5: And you really want to keep that intact because then
- 55:34Speaker 5: it's a big problem for you to see the kids.
- 55:37Speaker 5: But at the same time, when your child is having
- 55:40Speaker 5: a tumultuous breakup and it's public and it involves barbecuing
- 55:45Speaker 5: a mistress's.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Rib, it gets a little fucking weird.
- 55:48Speaker 5: And you married into an already really weird family that
- 55:52Speaker 5: there's awful stories about how, you know, the awful things
- 55:57Speaker 5: that have gone on in this family throughout generations, super wealthy.
- 56:02Speaker 5: And she's like a super Christian woman, this woman Drew.
- 56:06Speaker 5: So of course she has to forgive.
- 56:08Speaker 1: Very weird.
- 56:09Speaker 5: But my prediction is, you know what? I feel like
- 56:13Speaker 5: everybody can come back. If he really wants to come
- 56:15Speaker 5: back into acting, I would tell him he's got to
- 56:19Speaker 5: find the project or write it or something and then
- 56:22Speaker 5: get it like self-funded or he's got to start real
- 56:25Speaker 5: small again. And then he's got to do some incredible, like, oh,
- 56:28Speaker 5: it's got to be such a juicy movie. It's got
- 56:30Speaker 5: to be such great acting. And then people will just forget.
- 56:34Speaker 5: They'll just forget that it even happened. So Jax Taylor
- 56:38Speaker 5: of the Valley and Vanderpump has entered a treatment. I
- 56:43Speaker 5: believe it's a treatment center for mental health. As you know,
- 56:46Speaker 5: he and Brittany Cartwright, his longtime wife and girlfriend of
- 56:50Speaker 5: many years, they have a three-year-old son together. We saw
- 56:53Speaker 5: in the Valley that she just cracked and was like,
- 56:56Speaker 5: I can't take it. And she moved out. And some
- 56:58Speaker 5: people thought it was just perfect timing for the show airing.
- 57:03Speaker 1: I think I know it was all real.
- 57:06Speaker 5: And I think the stress happened because he was stressed
- 57:09Speaker 5: that the show wouldn't be successful while they're filming it.
- 57:12Speaker 1: He didn't know it'd be a hit. Now it is
- 57:14Speaker 1: a hit.
- 57:15Speaker 5: They're filming again. They're not back together and he is
- 57:20Speaker 5: going to get real help for his mental state.
- 57:24Speaker 1: So hopefully that'll help him.
- 57:26Speaker 5: I don't know if it'll bring them back together, but
- 57:30Speaker 5: you know, this is never a bad thing. This is
- 57:31Speaker 5: only a good thing, but it, I guess we'll see
- 57:34Speaker 5: it happen. And I wonder, will we see meetings with that?
- 57:39Speaker 5: I mean, I hope we see it all. I think
- 57:40Speaker 5: that's why the Valley is good is because they're so
- 57:42Speaker 5: raw and honest about the problems that they're having in
- 57:45Speaker 5: their life, trying to be successful in LA, managing young kids,
- 57:49Speaker 5: different relationships. It's just, you know, and he's always been
- 57:55Speaker 5: really honest. So good for him. Hopefully he's okay.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Okay. Scott Peterson.
- 58:00Speaker 5: You know, the Peterson case is one of my most
- 58:04Speaker 5: intriguing true crime cases. Really quick to remind you, in 2001,
- 58:11Speaker 5: I believe, or right around there, 2003, it's been 20 years,
- 58:17Speaker 5: this young woman, Lacey Peterson, and her husband, they were
- 58:20Speaker 5: a cute couple. She was very pregnant, and he went
- 58:25Speaker 5: to go fishing. She told him, I'm taking the.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Dog for a walk. He came back.
- 58:30Speaker 5: The dog was there with a leash on it, She
- 58:32Speaker 5: was nowhere to be found. In the meantime, he had
- 58:36Speaker 5: a mistress the whole time who didn't watch the news,
- 58:39Speaker 5: and he would always be telling her, oh, you know,
- 58:42Speaker 5: she thought Scott was single, this mistress named Amber. She
- 58:46Speaker 5: thought they had a future together until one day her
- 58:50Speaker 5: friend is like.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Hey, you know that guy you brought to the Christmas party?
- 58:53Speaker 5: He's on the news because his wife, pregnant wife, has
- 58:55Speaker 5: been missing for a week and a half. So then
- 58:59Speaker 5: she goes to the police and she's like, this is
- 59:02Speaker 5: the guy I took to my Christmas party and he
- 59:04Speaker 5: told me he was a widower.
- 59:05Speaker 1: That's what he did. That's what I remember. He told
- 59:07Speaker 1: me he was a widower.
- 59:08Speaker 5: So then she works with the police and then.
- 59:12Speaker 1: He calls her on New Year's Eve. And it's taped.
- 59:15Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, I'm in Paris. And since we're
- 59:17Speaker 1: ahead of you, we're watching the fireworks right now for
- 59:21Speaker 1: New Year's Eve. And I can't wait to see you.
- 59:23Speaker 6: And she's like, oh, that's great.
- 59:24Speaker 2: That's it.
- 59:25Speaker 5: Meanwhile, he walked away from his wife's candlelit vigil to
- 59:30Speaker 5: help find her. He blew out his candle, walked around
- 59:33Speaker 5: the corner, called the girlfriend and act like he was
- 59:35Speaker 5: in France.
- 59:36Speaker 1: All this stuff didn't help.
- 59:38Speaker 5: And they convicted him after they found the body months
- 59:42Speaker 5: and months later when it washed up onto the shore
- 59:48Speaker 5: of the same area that he went fishing the day
- 59:52Speaker 5: that she went missing. So people thought he Killed her,
- 59:55Speaker 5: maybe to be with the mistress, maybe because he just
- 59:57Speaker 5: didn't like her. Killed her, dumped the body, and then
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: acted like she was missing. But there's always been a
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: lot of weird things around this case that makes you
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: kind of wonder. There were other pregnant women that went
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: missing around the same area. There was a robbery across
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: the street that happened in which there was a theory
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: that maybe she saw that robbery happening and confronted these guys,
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: and then they kidnapped.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Her and took her and threw her in the ocean.
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: And it just was a coincidence that she, it was
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: the same body of water since that was the closest one.
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: A lot of people are like, who goes fishing by
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: yourself on Christmas Eve?
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Weird. There was a lot. But now they're.
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: Saying there has been, a judge has ordered DNA testing
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: on a piece of duct tape found on Lacey Peterson's
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: pants during her autopsy, which could potentially provide Scott Peterson
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: currently serving a life sentence for the 2002 murder, of
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: his pregnant wife, Lacey, and their unborn son, a chance
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: at a new trial. The testing will be conducted by
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: Pure Gold Forensics and must be completed within 45 days.
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: The results will be submitted under seal and the decision
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: follows a previous denial of the defense's motion to test
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: multiple pieces of evidence. Well, my God, I want this piece.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Of duct tape.
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: I mean, if there is another, if there is a
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: DNA match with another person that they can find that's
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: in the system that was maybe a sex offender or
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: a criminal of some sort.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Holy shit.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: How insane would that be if you really didn't do it?
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: Very interesting.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Presumed innocent. You're supposed to be presumed innocent until found guilty.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: This is on Apple.
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: This is a movie I have put on my juicy
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: scoop movie list from the 90s and 2000s that many,
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: People love rewatch, but also my younger audience members are like,
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: what are some of those juicy movies? They include Single
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: White Female, A Perfect Murder. Unfaithful, Fatal Attraction, and Presumed Innocent.
- 1:02:07Speaker 5: Those are probably the top five. Presumed Innocent, I've talked
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: about this on this show many, many times.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Obviously, David E. Kelly, which is a juicy.
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: Scoop, because he decided to do a revival of it.
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: The original movie was just a regular movie, two hours
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: long with Harrison Ford. And now it is on Apple.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: It's eight episodes. It's with Jake Gyllenhaal. And I started
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: to watch it and I was like, how?
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: Because I remember the movie so well, I know the ending.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: So I was like, I know the ending. Am I
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: going to still be able to enjoy this series?
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: And I am. And it's really good.
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: And so he's a prosecutor and he has a nice
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: wife and.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Two cute teenage kids.
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: And he was having an affair with this other female
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: prosecutor and she is found dead in a brutal way
- 1:02:59Speaker 5: in her apartment. And That's all I'm going to tell you.
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: And don't look it up. Don't watch the movie now
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: because it'll ruin it for you. And you'll know the
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: answer in two hours. If you're looking for a juicy
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: thing to watch, I'd say watch this and we can discuss.
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: Oprah and Gayle did an interview and they discussed the
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: rumors of, and I remember, my God, there were so
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: many rumors.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: We would joke about it, everything. Are Gayle and Oprah lesbians?
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: They would go on road trips together and I can
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: honestly say I never, ever thought they were gay. I
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: really just thought they enjoyed each other's company a lot.
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: And she always had Stedman. Gail was married to her
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: husband for a long time. Then she got divorced. Gail
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: has two adult kids. And Oprah had none. And they
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: were just best friends. And I always thought it was
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: great that even though Oprah was this huge, huge star,
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: she knew Gail from reporting. And now Gail's a star.
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: But Throughout it, she always supported her. There was never
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: any jealousy. There was always, you know, this just genuine friendship.
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: And they love to go on road trips together, love
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: to hang out. They have, you know, thanksgiving together. And
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: I thought it was great that they addressed that. She
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: also said, Oprah also said, you can't be friends with
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: anyone who's jealous of you. And this clip has been
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: going around. And I think that's one to really think
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: about when you look back and you wonder why a
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: friendship didn't work or what it was, or in this case,
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: she kind of goes, you know, when someone's like, Ooh,
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: must be nice. Or where'd you get that bag?
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Or, okay. You and your daughter, you know, like little
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: things like that.
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: Maybe you don't need to toss the friend, but you
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: need to kind of be like, I hope you're okay
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: with like, you know, I hope you're happy.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: You really want.
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: And with Oprah and Gail, like there was, they were
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: always so happy for each other. in every endeavor and
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: then there when things weren't good. And so it's like,
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: that's a beautiful friendship. Not everybody's going to have that
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: in life. You know, maybe you have a different kind
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: of thing, but not everybody has everything. Just like, just
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: like the Bellarita farms and a working mom or a
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: mom who works outside of the home to build a
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: different kind of career.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: You know what, ladies, you can't have it all. You
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: can't have it all.
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: You can have it most. You can have it some
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: of the times. But the minute you say, I can't
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: have it all, I'm just going to try to make
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: every day fun and fulfilling and on my own terms,
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: then you'll be okay.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Alec Baldwin is back. The trial ended. It was thrown out.
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: He is no longer having to worry about any criminal
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: aspects of the horrible death of the woman on his set.
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: And so he's back doing his hilarious reality show with Hilaria.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: How do you say cucumber?
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: And they have the eight kids. She was the original
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: Bellarina Farms. That is how she built up.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Her social media before we knew that she was faking
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: an accent.
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: We really thought she was Alec Baldwin's younger Spanish wife
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: that was popping out babies and doing yoga poses, you know,
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: before her placenta was even cold. Like they, that is
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: how she made it. All the kids hanging on her
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: and everything. So now they're doing a reality show, which
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: I think is kind of sad for him. But I,
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: when you, this is also what happens guys, when you
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: marry a woman that much younger than you, and now
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: you're 67 and you have, you know, a one-year-old and,
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: eight other kids or whatever it is to take care of.
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: When TLC calls and you've got multiple kids, it might
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: be the only gig in town, especially after a death
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: happens on your set. This is my worst nightmare. A
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: lot of people ask me, not a lot of people,
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: but like when I go to like Disneyland and we
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: go on like a roller coaster about space or whatever,
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: I always think, like Space Mountain, I always think, would
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: I ever want to go into space? And I've always
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: said no. That movie with Sandra Bullock when she's lost
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: in space or whatever and running out of oxygen, I
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: freak out when my cell phone is, you know, almost
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: out of battery. I can't imagine being out in the
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: middle of nowhere looking back at Earth. I just want
- 1:07:21Speaker 5: to stay on Earth. I don't care how shitty Earth gets.
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: I don't want to go into space. Anyway, these astronauts
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: are stuck in space for 49 days.
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: Ha!
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: Two astronauts named Butch Wilmore and Sumi Williams, so a
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: guy and a girl, And they've been stranded in space
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: for 49 days due to helium leaks.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Initially, it was planned for an eight-day mission. Eight days.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Do you imagine?
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: And we're complaining about like a two-hour delay on a plane, okay?
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: They have to remain on this space station until at
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: least August. And they're going to conduct further tests to
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: ensure that this is safe for their return. And if
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: the tests prove successful and are viewably scheduled for them
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: to return. Despite the extended mission, though, there's no concern
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: about supplies.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: So they have plenty.
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: I just think this is terrifying. I need to follow
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: this story. And if you know, if you already know
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: if they got back, can you just let me know? Like,
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: I just don't think anything sounds worse than being, I mean,
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: what if they're, what if they're just like colleagues and
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: now after 49 days, they like love each other or
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: what if they were a couple and after 49 days
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: they get divorced?
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: I don't know. I thought this was fucking weird. Okay.
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: Jennifer Aniston has this dog. And it has its own
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: Instagram and its own book. And all of a sudden,
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: I'm like, wait a minute. Is she like peddling like
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: for this dog to have its own cartoon or something?
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: And she is. It's named Clydeo. And it's got like.
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: 40,000 Instagram followers. And it's a dog that's a chef.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: And I just am like.
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: okay, Jennifer Aniston, do not get, do not, I've been
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: worried about her for a while, falling into the J-Lo
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: trap of feeling that you have to do everything, say everything,
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: and like just not letting it go. Like you are
- 1:09:15Speaker 5: Jennifer Aniston. You are on a hit show, The Morning Show.
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: You have your hair products. I mean, like, I could
- 1:09:23Speaker 5: just see her be like, oh, I have a really
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: cute dog. And so many people are like, oh, Jennifer,
- 1:09:28Speaker 5: I love your dog.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: And I'm like, you know what? I love cartoons about dogs.
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: And sometimes I look at my dog and I'm like,
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: what if he could be a dog chef?
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: I want to explore this. Well, let's start it out
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: on Instagram.
- 1:09:42Speaker 5: And when it really catches fire, he could have his
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: own show on Netflix for kids to watch.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Like, just, ugh. Let it go.
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: Hawk Tooie Girl has allegedly made already a million dollars
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: or something with filing merch and she's filing for trademarks
- 1:10:02Speaker 5: called Hawk Sauce and.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Bet on that thing.
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: Now, I said to my family, I said, I'm already
- 1:10:10Speaker 5: over Hawk Tooie Girl. I really feel the reason that
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: she kind of became popular is it's guys that are
- 1:10:18Speaker 5: into it. It's guys that thought it was funny. And
- 1:10:20Speaker 5: it was guys that thought she was cool. Like she
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: was the cool chick.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: She's funny.
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: I don't think there's anything wrong with her. And I think, hey,
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: she came out of that bar. She said the thing.
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: She's like, I saw this. This guy was going to
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: make monies on this viral video.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: I got an attorney. I'm going to make money too.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: I lost my job as a preschool teacher. Let's do it.
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: Now, I also heard that there's lots of people that
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: hang out at these bars with cameras ready to catch
- 1:10:47Speaker 5: people saying outrageous things so that they can then get
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: a viral video and be popular. It's like today's Girls
- 1:10:55Speaker 5: Gone Wild. But instead of, you know, getting a free t-shirt,
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: you might get your own podcast. You might get your
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: own hot sauce. So girls are dying to be on
- 1:11:07Speaker 5: the show, be on the, when they see these guys,
- 1:11:09Speaker 5: they're like, I don't know. I could be the new hot,
- 1:11:12Speaker 5: hot girl. They don't care that they're drunk. They don't
- 1:11:14Speaker 5: care that they might say something really embarrassing. So I
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: saw this one girl and she's like, I was so
- 1:11:19Speaker 5: excited to see the person outside of the bar. And
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: I stumbled out there and they said, what are you
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: looking for tonight?
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: And she's like, a body. Anybody with a body? She's like,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: I'm so embarrassed.
- 1:11:28Speaker 5: But you're not embarrassed because now you're doing a video
- 1:11:29Speaker 5: about it. So she's probably like, God, I got really drunk.
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: I said an embarrassing thing. Where's my hock to a
- 1:11:35Speaker 5: podcast with, you know, where are my deals?
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: So I thought that was interesting.
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: So this prison guard, Linda, she's 30, but she creates
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: content for OnlyFans.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Who the hell doesn't?
- 1:11:49Speaker 5: She pleaded guilty to misconduct in a public office after
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: a video showcasing her sexual encounter with an inmate. Surfaced online,
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: the video captured by the inmate's cellmate. So he got
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: to be he got to listen. A lot of people say,
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: you know, you know. we need rehabilitation of these prisoners.
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: They don't learn any skills. This guy, you know, is
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: learning to be a filmmaker.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: So there you go.
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: The video captured the cellmates in 2024, just in June.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: This just happened. And it went viral.
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: Following the incident, she, Linda, who's calling, Linda DeSosa is
- 1:12:23Speaker 5: her name, attempted to flee to Madrid, but was apprehended
- 1:12:27Speaker 5: at the Heathrow Airport. And then they described her actions
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: as a severe breach of public trust. And after a
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: court appearance, She took to Instagram to defend herself, and
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: she criticized the media's portrayal of the scandal. And anyway,
- 1:12:41Speaker 5: she was released on bail, and she awaits sentencing on
- 1:12:44Speaker 5: November 7th. So she might actually do time for this.
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: But even if she does time for it, she's probably
- 1:12:50Speaker 5: going to have her own hot sauce or something like that,
- 1:12:54Speaker 5: like Hock Tooey Girl.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: So, you know, what are you going to do?
- 1:12:58Speaker 5: Bianca had to go to Target and with– Kanye and
- 1:13:03Speaker 5: the four kids. And she did put like a smock
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: over her.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: So that was good.
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: And then I saw this thing that I thought was
- 1:13:10Speaker 5: really interesting. This is this girl named Steph. She's on TikTok.
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: She's like, I was at Target. And I'm like, did
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: you see Bianca in a smock or whatever?
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: No.
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: She's like, I was at Target and I'm looking at
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: like these rugs and I hear this guy talking to
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: this girl and he's like, do it again. And she's like, oh,
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: I'm just so grateful. I'm so grateful for this money.
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: And I'm like, oh my God. And she thinks, am
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: I witnessing like a weird human trafficking thing? I need
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: to see if this girl's okay. So she goes around
- 1:13:42Speaker 5: the corner and she sees this guy and he has
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: like a brace on his.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Body with a camera, like a body cam. So it's
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: right on his middle of his chest, but it's his camera,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: it's his phone.
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: And they're doing a video where he's like, giving her
- 1:13:58Speaker 5: money and she's acting and it's scripted. And she's like,
- 1:14:02Speaker 5: oh my God, you don't understand how much I needed this.
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: And he's like, no, I just want to, you know,
- 1:14:10Speaker 5: I just feel like you deserve it.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: Okay, let's do it again. Let's do it again.
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: So then she went around and she was acting like
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: she was like typing on her phone, but she's actually
- 1:14:17Speaker 5: filming them.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: So we got to see who they were.
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: And she's like, look, I'm not saying everybody does this,
- 1:14:21Speaker 5: but I'm kind of bummed because this kind of content
- 1:14:24Speaker 5: I love when someone goes up to somebody and they said, hey,
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: can you help me out? I just need $ 2 to
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: buy this coloring set for my kid.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: And they go to.
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: Someone that looks a little down and out. And then
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: the down and out person goes, sure, baby, here's $ 5. Oh,
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: I couldn't do that. No, get your son a little
- 1:14:44Speaker 5: something else. And then he goes, I just want to
- 1:14:47Speaker 5: know why would you do that for me? And the
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: girl's like, because times are tough and I've been in
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: your position and I don't have a lot. And he goes, well,
- 1:14:56Speaker 5: because you did this for me. Here's $ 1, 000.
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: What?
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: My daughter needs an operation or whatever. And then cries.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: It's like the ultimate helpful Honda dealer commercial.
- 1:15:10Speaker 5: And now I'm like, I wonder if this is true.
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: I wonder if any of this is true.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Is this all acted out? And again, it's just like,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: What is real? What do we see? What do we not?
- 1:15:25Speaker 5: And people need to be educated that just like you
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: were watching TV when you were growing up, that it
- 1:15:29Speaker 5: was a scripted show, even though it would influence the
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: way you think about your life or that you don't
- 1:15:34Speaker 5: want to be Bonnie Franklin one day at a time.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: We also have to know that a lot of what
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: we see.
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: On social media, even though we're looking at it and
- 1:15:42Speaker 5: it looks like someone's selfie and it looks like they're
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: walking up to a stranger and it looks like they're
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: cooking and filming it themselves while their toddler is quietly
- 1:15:50Speaker 5: in the corner and they're able to do all the
- 1:15:52Speaker 5: scenes themselves, They probably aren't, and it's probably just our
- 1:15:55Speaker 5: new version of TV production that you need to tell yourself,
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: I'm watching this for entertainment value only. This isn't what
- 1:16:06Speaker 5: I should compare myself to.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: This is not what I should be. These comments don't
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: mean shit.
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: Let me just look at my phone and enjoy TikTok
- 1:16:14Speaker 5: or Instagram or whatever as entertainment, and then let me
- 1:16:17Speaker 5: put it away and realize who even knows if these
- 1:16:20Speaker 5: people are fucking real or not. All right, you guys,
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: remember you go to heathermcdonald.net for all of my live

- 1:17:03Speaker 4: before bed. Or two, you know.
