- 2:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been DJing way too much and signing way
- 2:49Speaker 1: too many books.
- 2:50Speaker 4: With the latter hur those, I'm quite happy.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Oh you're getting that con cred a little bit.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Yeah, boy, I'm I see why uh cats be wearing
- 3:01Speaker 1: masks to signings.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Now.
- 3:02Speaker 1: You know, my man earth Tone, he stay with the
- 3:05Speaker 1: mask from whenever you're doing the signing, and I have
- 3:07Speaker 1: not been doing that.
- 3:09Speaker 4: That's my mistake. I paid for it, you know.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yeah, And and we stayed recording when we're sick like
- 3:15Speaker 2: it's I'll be list watching them episodes, dying.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Laughing like we are. We are out of it.
- 3:21Speaker 4: It just still go with yo, straight up. I didn't
- 3:23Speaker 4: even tell you about this. I remember, I didn't tell
- 3:24Speaker 4: you about it until afterwards. This was a few years back.
- 3:26Speaker 4: But I was having a wave of.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Nausea and I was struggling to stand up through the episode,
- 3:33Speaker 1: and I didn't even tell you, and I was just
- 3:36Speaker 1: tell me blah blah, and I'm over here leaning on
- 3:38Speaker 1: my table points you tell me.
- 3:40Speaker 4: I can't remember why I didn't tell you. I'll just
- 3:42Speaker 4: you know, I was like, was like, this is done,
- 3:44Speaker 4: but I'm a man, you know, and it was like
- 3:46Speaker 4: it was terrible. My.
- 3:48Speaker 2: The ones I hate the most is when it's just
- 3:49Speaker 2: like you're not killing over sick like you just described,
- 3:52Speaker 2: but like you have for me, it's always a sinus
- 3:55Speaker 2: is So then I sound like I have you know,
- 3:57Speaker 2: I'm a duck and it just sounds terrible.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Bro.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I just hate when I had this call from him,
- 4:02Speaker 1: like sounding like anything. But like I said, part of
- 4:05Speaker 1: it is because I've been out here signing copies of
- 4:08Speaker 1: Jimmy Hendris Purple Haze outside out now from everywhere. You
- 4:13Speaker 1: can get it anywhere, everywhere. So thank you to everyone
- 4:16Speaker 1: for all the support. I mean, it's been wild.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Yo.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I got a post from Amsterdam the other day. This
- 4:22Speaker 1: cat was like, Yo, brilliant graphic novel from you know.
- 4:25Speaker 1: He owns a shop in Amsterdam, and he was just like, Yo,
- 4:27Speaker 1: this is just.
- 4:29Speaker 3: For his shop.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yes, yes, I was like, Bro, I'm coming out to
- 4:32Speaker 1: Amsterdam just to sign copies. You know, I'm done to
- 4:34Speaker 1: do it at some point soon he should. Today I
- 4:38Speaker 1: went down to word is Change, a local bookstore in Brooklyn,
- 4:41Speaker 1: and I dropped some copies in there. And I was
- 4:43Speaker 1: signing them outside. Then I left to went to get
- 4:46Speaker 1: some food at waud you know the spot you love.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And while I'm over there, this woman walks up to
- 4:50Speaker 1: me and it's like, yo, I saw you signing books.
- 4:52Speaker 4: What was that? And I pulled an extra one out a.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yo, and she was like, oh, that's crazy, you know,
- 4:57Speaker 1: And so I signed it for her and her son
- 4:59Speaker 1: n year. So I signed the joint to na see her,
- 5:02Speaker 1: who was like Jones, Yeah, No. I was like, you
- 5:06Speaker 1: know now he was like yeah, looking at me like
- 5:07Speaker 1: a nigga. I hear that every god damn day, so
- 5:11Speaker 1: you know. But because he was like eleven or twelve,
- 5:13Speaker 1: so I'm sure he's heard that too much, but he was.
- 5:15Speaker 1: He seemed really interested in the book too, So I
- 5:17Speaker 1: was really hyped that.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, a little kid's gonna get it now
- 5:20Speaker 4: and read it.
- 5:20Speaker 2: And I mean, you're gonna have to have that thing
- 5:22Speaker 2: on you at all times. You gotta slag pretty much.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I have to say, like this cover and just I know,
- 5:28Speaker 1: the concept and stuff is so weird and so crazy.
- 5:30Speaker 1: But when you show people to cover either one of
- 5:33Speaker 1: them and when you tell people the concept there, like yo,
- 5:35Speaker 1: what the fuck give me that.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Yeah, because it don't look like nothing. I don't like nothing.
- 5:40Speaker 3: When I say it don't look like nothing, don't like
- 5:41Speaker 3: anything else that's out there.
- 5:43Speaker 4: There you go.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Someone else who bought it said they took it on
- 5:46Speaker 1: a plane and were reading on the plane and they
- 5:48Speaker 1: had like people were just trying to take it from them.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Of course, because you know, on the plane is peak nosiness.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yeah, like niggas watching each other's movies from two to
- 5:58Speaker 2: three hours away.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Of course, if you pick up something like that.
- 6:01Speaker 1: And it's the Big Book and it's bright and colorful,
- 6:05Speaker 1: you know, and then it's Jimmy Hendricks and they're like,
- 6:08Speaker 1: what the hell? So, like I said before, Jimmy Hendrix,
- 6:11Speaker 1: purple haze out right now. Thank you to everyone who's
- 6:14Speaker 1: been copying it. If you do cop it still, please
- 6:17Speaker 1: tag me at DJ Ben I mean tag at for
- 6:20Speaker 1: all nerds, you know what I mean, and let us
- 6:22Speaker 1: see you because I'm just so gracious and grateful. Thank
- 6:26Speaker 1: you to everyone. Man, this has been a really amazing experience.
- 6:29Speaker 1: It's still going on. I'm doing another interview tomorrow night.
- 6:34Speaker 1: A cat reached out to me from one of the
- 6:37Speaker 1: College of the colleges in Brooklyn. I was like, yeah,
- 6:40Speaker 1: they want to write about this for their college paper.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Yep, you I mean obviously, Howard. But you got to
- 6:45Speaker 3: do the college tour.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I would love to.
- 6:48Speaker 2: You got to do a college tour like you hit
- 6:49Speaker 2: up hit especially the liberal arts colleges things like that,
- 6:52Speaker 2: like they love that shit.
- 6:53Speaker 3: So you need to pull up.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to Houston and shout out to Golf
- 6:58Speaker 1: Coast Comics. Go Coast Cosmos Comics, the only black owned
- 7:03Speaker 1: comic book store in Texas.
- 7:06Speaker 4: And they're in h Town, I know, he told me.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Just had a phone call with the owner and I
- 7:11Speaker 4: was like, word.
- 7:12Speaker 3: He was like yeah, and next the marketing point but damn.
- 7:15Speaker 4: I know, damn.
- 7:16Speaker 1: And they're in the third ward the tray. You know
- 7:18Speaker 1: where I'm from. And so we're thanks differing. I'll be
- 7:21Speaker 1: doing a signing like Black Friday that weekend, I'll be
- 7:24Speaker 1: doing a signing, and we're planning something with the Contemporary
- 7:28Speaker 1: Arts Museum I think down there as well.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yes, oh that's a perfect combo, like the arts, the art,
- 7:34Speaker 2: you know, the museum.
- 7:36Speaker 3: You gotta hit up U. C.
- 7:37Speaker 4: L A.
- 7:37Speaker 3: You already know, yeah.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Oh right right, damn, oh yeah, I'm going to have
- 7:44Speaker 4: to hit them up this week. Thank you. You're right,
- 7:47Speaker 4: because that would be a lit one.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Just just put my fifteen percent of the side.
- 7:53Speaker 1: You know, we both don't have to go back out
- 7:55Speaker 1: there for that, Like, come on, yeah.
- 7:57Speaker 3: It don't matter if people show up again.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Look, you see l A got the money to pay
- 8:03Speaker 4: for it in five people for one person showed up,
- 8:05Speaker 4: so that's all the matters, you know what I mean.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And then five people had a great time, so right,
- 8:10Speaker 1: that's what mattered. That's what mattered. So yeah again, thank
- 8:14Speaker 1: you all, Jimmy and Purple Haze in stores. Now we
- 8:18Speaker 1: got a lot to talk about on this episode of
- 8:20Speaker 1: For All Nerds.
- 8:21Speaker 4: It's a crazy time.
- 8:23Speaker 1: As you see from the sign right there, shout out
- 8:26Speaker 1: to shann and my hu you know, you know Sistern
- 8:30Speaker 1: who designed the Howard you four Harris signed that you
- 8:35Speaker 1: see shining behind me.
- 8:37Speaker 2: My mind all mess up today. I'm glad you continue
- 8:40Speaker 2: that line because when you said Shannon, I thought Shannon
- 8:43Speaker 2: Sharp and I don't know.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it took me a second to find a video,
- 8:46Speaker 1: but I saw it. Look, I'm a huge I want
- 8:49Speaker 1: to talk about I don't want to talk about either.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You know, I'm a huge Channon Sharp fan. I've been
- 8:53Speaker 1: a fan for years, so I'm just trying. You know,
- 8:55Speaker 1: things happen, hey are come on, I mean yeah, I'm yeah.
- 9:00Speaker 1: This is the nigga who was smoking black and Miles
- 9:02Speaker 1: and drinking hen on the rocks.
- 9:03Speaker 2: He said, I just I just said I didn't want
- 9:05Speaker 2: to talk about it. He said, I was hacked. My guy,
- 9:08Speaker 2: my guy.
- 9:10Speaker 4: We all know your voice, nigga.
- 9:11Speaker 3: And then like you weren't hacked.
- 9:13Speaker 2: This isn't fake, like because who would fake this specific
- 9:18Speaker 2: activity from you?
- 9:19Speaker 3: Specifically? Like it was you? It was you. Interesting, sure,
- 9:25Speaker 3: but it was you.
- 9:31Speaker 4: All right.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I don't want to talk no more about that, you
- 9:34Speaker 1: know what I mean? This nigga's Nightcap for night though, Right,
- 9:42Speaker 1: I got I gotta go on YouTube. You know you
- 9:44Speaker 1: got the Nightcap show every night on YouTube.
- 9:46Speaker 4: I'm even up tonight. I'm watching that tonight. Might be
- 9:52Speaker 4: live right now.
- 9:53Speaker 3: The publicity to get people to listen.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, you know, he's already doing having a
- 9:57Speaker 4: great year.
- 9:58Speaker 2: So whatever, Boost and Rad And I'm sorry, uncle Shannon.
- 10:01Speaker 2: You're not a good interviewer, but you have great guests, so.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I mean, you know, and you got to grow into it.
- 10:07Speaker 1: You know, he could grow into being a great interviewer.
- 10:09Speaker 1: So I would give him time, you know, I will.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I will say that because whether or not he's the
- 10:13Speaker 1: best interviewer, the interviews have been.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Entertaining great guests.
- 10:19Speaker 1: So but other people have had those same guests and
- 10:21Speaker 1: have not gotten those interviews.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Out of them because the guests probably don't like them.
- 10:25Speaker 4: There it is, and that see, that's what I'm saying.
- 10:27Speaker 4: That's all part of it.
- 10:28Speaker 1: It's like people might like us, we might not always
- 10:30Speaker 1: deliver the best interview, but people are gonna fuck with
- 10:32Speaker 1: us so much that.
- 10:33Speaker 3: They're gone, No. I mean, I mean, let's let's let's
- 10:37Speaker 3: let's not lie on us.
- 10:39Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, sure, I mean our interviews are.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Out of control, like we know what we're doing, but
- 10:46Speaker 3: you know whatever, Like you said, give it.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Some time, Yeah, give us some time, you know what
- 10:49Speaker 4: I mean.
- 10:50Speaker 1: So ah, I really don't want to talk too much
- 10:54Speaker 1: about the debate other than you know that Nigga's washed
- 10:58Speaker 1: and I mean Ben will and I'll say this one thing,
- 11:02Speaker 1: there's like, as a black man watching it, I was
- 11:06Speaker 1: so fearful for her, you know what I mean, because
- 11:10Speaker 1: I know what how a black woman's every movement is judged,
- 11:16Speaker 1: you know, And so every time she smirred, I was like, oh, fuck,
- 11:19Speaker 1: is she doing too much?
- 11:20Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 11:21Speaker 1: Every time she looking on an eyebroll, any of human response,
- 11:26Speaker 1: I'm sitting there like fuck.
- 11:28Speaker 3: And that didn't stop those folks from coming after her.
- 11:30Speaker 1: But the general response today was that she slayed. She
- 11:35Speaker 1: came out there and did her goddamn thing, and that's
- 11:38Speaker 1: what I was most happy about. And I will say
- 11:41Speaker 1: this because I've been having discressions. I'm not gonna name
- 11:44Speaker 1: names right now, but I have. I've talked about it
- 11:46Speaker 1: on Twitter, and I'll say the same thing. I've been
- 11:47Speaker 1: having distressions with a certain influencer, a blurred influencer, and
- 11:53Speaker 1: I've realized that there are a lot of people out
- 11:55Speaker 1: here who are I have to say, straight and I'm
- 12:00Speaker 1: looking dead at the camera and I say this, not
- 12:01Speaker 1: educated enough, you know what I mean, straight up and down.
- 12:04Speaker 1: And even though they have a large influence on people,
- 12:08Speaker 1: their views are come from a place where I just
- 12:10Speaker 1: have to say, they are just rather uneducated on a
- 12:14Speaker 1: lot of things and come from a place where they.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Just have not don't know the history.
- 12:18Speaker 1: A lot of this country of its policies, of why
- 12:23Speaker 1: police were created, various things like that, why we have
- 12:26Speaker 1: two parties, you know, all these little themes, you know.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And so seeing that and seeing these same people who
- 12:33Speaker 1: are like basically closet Trump supporters, because there's a lot
- 12:36Speaker 1: of them. There's a lot of black men who are
- 12:38Speaker 1: basically closet or out publicly Trump supporters, and seeing this
- 12:42Speaker 1: woman dragged this nigga all around that stage last night
- 12:45Speaker 1: was so great. But like I also watched John Stewart
- 12:48Speaker 1: afterwards and he said it best. It doesn't really matter
- 12:51Speaker 1: because every chant move she makes, if somebody don't fuck
- 12:55Speaker 1: with her already.
- 12:56Speaker 4: It's gonna be like she lying, she doing.
- 12:58Speaker 3: This, Yeah whatever, Yeah, this is not gonna change.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I mean, if you was on the fence and how
- 13:03Speaker 2: but if you was on the fence this, yeah, there's
- 13:07Speaker 2: no way.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Like this same person told me they weren't voting for anyone,
- 13:11Speaker 1: and I think that or for either of them, and
- 13:13Speaker 1: I think that's a pussy, sorry not pussy pussy's break.
- 13:15Speaker 4: I think that's a weak man move, you know what.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I mean, It's a weak move in general, man, man
- 13:21Speaker 2: woman or they them like it's a weak move and
- 13:24Speaker 2: I understood, like when people like the philosophy behind it
- 13:29Speaker 2: on paper, yeah, and practice, that's a problem because now
- 13:32Speaker 2: you are allowing the ops. And yes, we can have
- 13:36Speaker 2: a whole conversation about who's the ops of what I
- 13:39Speaker 2: get it, You can have a whole conversation about there
- 13:40Speaker 2: both the same level evil and I'm just letting you
- 13:42Speaker 2: know it's not the truth, but it's not true. And
- 13:46Speaker 2: and one op is it's much more detrimental to your
- 13:49Speaker 2: immediate health than the other ops. So you gotta you
- 13:52Speaker 2: gotta make some action in order to avoid.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Basically the end of everything.
- 13:57Speaker 2: So yeah, far as the debate as how I felt, yeah,
- 14:03Speaker 2: I thought she didn't. But like I expected as much
- 14:05Speaker 2: like I didn't expect nothing less, you know. And I
- 14:09Speaker 2: would say this now, I am a Harris supporter. I'm
- 14:11Speaker 2: not a support of all her policies. I criticized her
- 14:15Speaker 2: on the daily. I disagree with a lot of the
- 14:17Speaker 2: stuff she talks about pots I'm gonna keep on that
- 14:22Speaker 2: was crazy, But I just wanted to say this lie,
- 14:26Speaker 2: like particularly her whole stance on Israel and the whole Yeah,
- 14:29Speaker 2: I don't believe in that that that that talk point
- 14:34Speaker 2: that she keeps saying everywhere where. It's just like, oh,
- 14:36Speaker 2: I'm about allowing people to Israel to defend itself.
- 14:40Speaker 3: You are of eighty and am betting genocide.
- 14:42Speaker 2: And that's how I feel about it, And anyone listening
- 14:45Speaker 2: if you didn't like it, I'm sorry.
- 14:47Speaker 3: This is how I feel about it. You're not gonna
- 14:48Speaker 3: change that point from me.
- 14:51Speaker 2: So all that to say that there's some stuff that
- 14:53Speaker 2: I do not do, not like that she's about and
- 14:56Speaker 2: and supports, and that will continue to be voiced by me,
- 15:00Speaker 2: and I will continue to voice my opposition to that.
- 15:02Speaker 2: At the same time, I know who I want to
- 15:04Speaker 2: run this country, and that is Kamala Harris, and that
- 15:06Speaker 2: is Tim Walls as her I was almostlling Waltz.
- 15:09Speaker 3: It is such a black thing to call them Waltz.
- 15:11Speaker 2: But yeah, but Tim Timothy, Timothy w like I want
- 15:14Speaker 2: them in the splot the slow Okay, Timothy w and
- 15:19Speaker 2: Kamala For me, as as far as the debates itself
- 15:23Speaker 2: went as I expected, But what the biggest emotion and
- 15:27Speaker 2: takeaway I had from it was that I was embarrassed in.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Barrass particularly.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Kamala and forget black woman woman, Kamala is of a
- 15:38Speaker 2: caliber that she should not even have to contemplate holding
- 15:43Speaker 2: court with such a clown. Yeah, the fact that's such
- 15:50Speaker 2: a person is allowed to even be in that space
- 15:55Speaker 2: and that level that requires that truly doesn't when you really,
- 16:01Speaker 2: when you're really supposed to do this right, It truly
- 16:03Speaker 2: requires a level of consideration, intelligence, class, and understanding that
- 16:09Speaker 2: it's just completely devoid from this man and for her
- 16:13Speaker 2: to be subject to that, that shit is in barrozing
- 16:16Speaker 2: to me, I hate that shit, okay. And then it
- 16:20Speaker 2: goes even deeper when you're like, man, this nigga was
- 16:22Speaker 2: actually president. Like that's when they say the US is
- 16:26Speaker 2: a third world country in a Gucci belt. This is
- 16:28Speaker 2: what I'm talking about, this ship.
- 16:31Speaker 4: I mean, you work in corporate America, you know, like
- 16:34Speaker 4: like it's just like when I you know, like I'll
- 16:36Speaker 4: about to say, I've worked in the Hollywood industry, so like,
- 16:39Speaker 4: you know, it's it's always embarrassing because it's unfortunately, it's
- 16:47Speaker 4: not surprising that he became president.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Because you know, I know the makeup of this country.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Yeah, these niggas every other industry.
- 16:55Speaker 3: See what happened. However, Comma still somehow, I.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Mean, at least at least it wasn't apparent, right, Like
- 17:02Speaker 2: the closest stupid one, silly one we had was was Bush.
- 17:07Speaker 2: But even then that he still was a particular character,
- 17:11Speaker 2: if you will, right, he wasn't saying or doing the
- 17:13Speaker 2: shit he was doing, Okay, at least not in the forefront.
- 17:16Speaker 1: See, that's the thing, and that that goes back to
- 17:18Speaker 1: history though, and also not there's not being enough video
- 17:21Speaker 1: of a lot of cats, because I mean, in my lifetime,
- 17:25Speaker 1: Reagan was right there. He's worse than Bush easily, and
- 17:30Speaker 1: I'm just saying, and in a way I would say
- 17:32Speaker 1: worse than this nigga. Yeah, but the same difference, same difference. Sure, Yeah,
- 17:37Speaker 1: that's the thing. It's just there's not like we don't
- 17:39Speaker 1: have as much video footage of Reagan. But that man
- 17:42Speaker 1: was a peerful And then there's people well before my
- 17:45Speaker 1: time who were just pure idiots. You know, I don't
- 17:47Speaker 1: know all the history. I know, Nixon wasn't the smartest
- 17:49Speaker 1: nigga ever, you know what I mean. It's we we've had,
- 17:52Speaker 1: you know, sadly this country has been run by dumb
- 17:55Speaker 1: white men for.
- 17:55Speaker 4: A long time.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Well all that, yeah, I thought she did great, but
- 18:01Speaker 2: it was what I expected.
- 18:03Speaker 3: It was some funny stuff happening.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Though last night I got a good some good jokes off,
- 18:07Speaker 2: good tweets off.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Last night I told him do not to do it?
- 18:11Speaker 3: Like is I duel my guy?
- 18:13Speaker 4: But okay, racism, nigga, that's that's what this ship is.
- 18:20Speaker 4: So so I can't lie though, Like I'll tell you
- 18:23Speaker 4: what my favorite thing about Trump is and the dogs. No,
- 18:27Speaker 4: not even though it is his inflection, like how he
- 18:31Speaker 4: ends the sentence with just like like it's exact this
- 18:34Speaker 4: regret sadness. You know, it's like they're driving that country
- 18:39Speaker 4: into the ground. Oh yeah, he got to say that
- 18:46Speaker 4: last night, and that was great.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I mean, it's funny when you're talking about entertainment and clown.
- 18:52Speaker 3: It's not funny when you talking a country. No, it's insane,
- 18:56Speaker 3: this country specifically.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Again, we've you know, we've like I don't want to
- 19:01Speaker 1: see him did another chance.
- 19:03Speaker 4: I don't know if we can survive, but we have
- 19:05Speaker 4: something we cannot.
- 19:05Speaker 2: We cannot. We survive here, amongst other things, projects twenty five.
- 19:10Speaker 2: But we cannot.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Yeah, you cannot survive another court Gester.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Here tight, it's tight, and it's tight on a lot
- 19:17Speaker 1: of levels. And you know, but then of course I'll
- 19:20Speaker 1: keep on fracking. Ain't really helping, you know, a lot
- 19:22Speaker 1: of the loves of it's either so. And my last
- 19:25Speaker 1: point on this and on the whole Israel Palestine thing
- 19:29Speaker 1: is I really don't like when people are like.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Oh, she's not gonna do this. I'm not gonna go
- 19:33Speaker 4: for like, shorty, this is.
- 19:34Speaker 3: A thousands The only reason this.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Is not only that this is thousands of year old conflict.
- 19:41Speaker 1: It's not going to be solved in I don't know
- 19:45Speaker 1: in our lifetime. I would like to see it, you know,
- 19:47Speaker 1: at least get to something, but realistically.
- 19:51Speaker 2: You know what needs to happen for the way that
- 19:52Speaker 2: people and unfortunately it involves the US, We're not gonna
- 19:57Speaker 2: do it.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Yeah, And that's what I'm saying for for really to
- 19:59Speaker 1: get to what people want is not even a two
- 20:02Speaker 1: state solution, you know what I mean. It is a
- 20:04Speaker 1: whole different solution that's not even being discussed, you know,
- 20:07Speaker 1: because the two state solution, according to most people who
- 20:09Speaker 1: are really about it, ain't It's like that ain't gonna
- 20:11Speaker 1: fit the problem. So there's like another solution that people
- 20:15Speaker 1: ain't really distressing right now, and that's so far off
- 20:18Speaker 1: that you can't put it on her to get there
- 20:21Speaker 1: because she and this country is like the conflict of
- 20:26Speaker 1: thousands of years old.
- 20:27Speaker 4: This country is four hundred years old of being fuckery.
- 20:30Speaker 2: So you know, yeah, yeah, I mean, and some people
- 20:32Speaker 2: are unreasonable with what they want her to change. But
- 20:35Speaker 2: the things that are at least on paper reasonable not
- 20:39Speaker 2: reasonable from a trying to win election standpoint. They're not
- 20:42Speaker 2: reasonable from a I have all these people holding the
- 20:45Speaker 2: strings behind my back and I have to do or
- 20:48Speaker 2: say certain things at least to a degree at least
- 20:50Speaker 2: until I get into the door. Then when I get
- 20:53Speaker 2: into the door, maybe I could turn up and do something.
- 20:56Speaker 2: But my thing is is we got to get hurt
- 20:57Speaker 2: in there first, and you start and then, like I said,
- 21:01Speaker 2: then you can start puting pressure and be like, yo,
- 21:03Speaker 2: we gotta change your policy.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Yo.
- 21:04Speaker 2: This idea of just just willing Nelly throwing, you know,
- 21:07Speaker 2: just handing them the fucking the burner, Like no, like no,
- 21:11Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying, Like, that's that's when you
- 21:13Speaker 2: got you can't That's fine to disagree, but just say
- 21:16Speaker 2: I'm not gonna vote for you, nigga.
- 21:18Speaker 1: What it also has to do a lot with capitalism,
- 21:22Speaker 1: and that's the other problem that people don't get. You know,
- 21:24Speaker 1: it's like niggas don't keep handing them the burner because
- 21:26Speaker 1: that burner making the money. And it's like, you know,
- 21:29Speaker 1: whether or not America is giving them money, other people
- 21:32Speaker 1: will because it's so.
- 21:35Speaker 2: It's so, And we don't have the time or the
- 21:38Speaker 2: or the the space or the political wherever thought to
- 21:42Speaker 2: really get into all of it.
- 21:43Speaker 3: But all that to say of our views of how
- 21:46Speaker 3: we thought the debate went.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Yeah, cool, whatever. Another video that we watched this week.
- 21:55Speaker 2: It was last week, actually last week. It's been a
- 21:58Speaker 2: talk about it long four days.
- 22:01Speaker 4: Man, hasn't been rest in peace to a lot of
- 22:04Speaker 4: people too.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Man, Oh oh my god. I also wanted to mention that,
- 22:07Speaker 3: but we go down that list.
- 22:09Speaker 4: Yeah's been a lot, been a lot fans.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Yeah, right now, though, we got to peep Bo Demayo's
- 22:18Speaker 1: explanation video that he released on only fans, on his
- 22:23Speaker 1: only fans, you know, the Fall, They Fall Nerds team
- 22:26Speaker 1: did the research, you know, yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 3: We will do. We will go to great lengths to
- 22:31Speaker 3: get the information for y'all.
- 22:34Speaker 4: Yeah, the thankfully he had his shirt on.
- 22:38Speaker 3: He was fully close.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Yes, But what we're talking about is when we say what,
- 22:44Speaker 2: you know, the explanation, like the question that has always
- 22:47Speaker 2: the big elephant in the room, which has always.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Been what happened? How come you got fired?
- 22:52Speaker 4: What why?
- 22:52Speaker 3: You ain't say nothing about it?
- 22:55Speaker 2: And so we watched it and it was about thirty
- 22:59Speaker 2: five minutes something like that. Yeah, half of it was
- 23:03Speaker 2: kind of talking in circles for me A little bit,
- 23:05Speaker 2: but a little bit. I'll say this, and we can
- 23:08Speaker 2: go into details in a second, but I'll say this.
- 23:11Speaker 2: There's two things I this here for me. I believe him.
- 23:14Speaker 2: I believe every word.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Wow.
- 23:16Speaker 2: I also think there's things that he's just not taking
- 23:19Speaker 2: accountability for.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Okay, okay, all right, and.
- 23:25Speaker 3: I'll slain later why I believe every word?
- 23:27Speaker 4: My thought process is I want to believe him badly.
- 23:33Speaker 3: I want to believe these things are real.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Yeah, like it's still real to me, dammit. But I
- 23:39Speaker 1: first started watching the video, I was like, nigga, please,
- 23:42Speaker 1: I think that might have been the same gun than
- 23:43Speaker 1: you were having, right.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:45Speaker 3: I was like, literally, Ben, you made you took the
- 23:48Speaker 3: words out of my head.
- 23:49Speaker 2: I just didn't say it out loud. I was like, nigga,
- 23:51Speaker 2: you dead as well? I said, I say please, I said,
- 23:54Speaker 2: all you dead ass.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I was like, I was a ten minutes and I
- 23:57Speaker 1: was like, oh, nigga please, And then I don't know,
- 24:00Speaker 1: around minute fifteen or so, I was like, okay, all right,
- 24:03Speaker 1: that's the point's here.
- 24:04Speaker 4: All right.
- 24:05Speaker 1: And then about like minute thirty, you know, when it finished,
- 24:07Speaker 1: I was like, damn nothing, be real, you know, but
- 24:10Speaker 1: there's still a lot of nigga please, even around like
- 24:12Speaker 1: minute twenty five, you know. After So all right, basically
- 24:17Speaker 1: what Bo is saying, you know, you have to see
- 24:21Speaker 1: the whole video. But shorthand is that it all went
- 24:24Speaker 1: bad when Bo decided to report people who he felt were,
- 24:30Speaker 1: you know, violating and going not in a central harassment way,
- 24:35Speaker 1: but in a disrespectful way.
- 24:36Speaker 3: He said, somebody was having an inappropriate relationship.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Oh, he did say that. That was one thing. He
- 24:41Speaker 4: did say that, And see that one.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Was when I was like, but nigga, they said, you're
- 24:46Speaker 1: having inappropriate relationships.
- 24:48Speaker 4: So it's like, I want to believe. But and then
- 24:57Speaker 4: there's the history of the Witcher.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Do your David the company boys, I want to believe.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, like I heard the same and you
- 25:06Speaker 1: didn't talk about the Witcher at all. So it's like,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I don't know, but both basically said everything went hour
- 25:12Speaker 1: when they were when both started reporting, you know, one
- 25:14Speaker 1: person on the team was having an inappropriate relationship with
- 25:17Speaker 1: someone like, you know, an intern or something. Same things
- 25:20Speaker 1: both n q's up.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Well, he said, he said that was part of the
- 25:25Speaker 2: I'm saying they said, he said, start.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it was mad offensive things being said.
- 25:30Speaker 2: He said that because he was they try to paint
- 25:34Speaker 2: him as hard to work, because he was doing things
- 25:36Speaker 2: like asking for help for people, like people he saw
- 25:39Speaker 2: people on his team struggling, right, like people falling asleep
- 25:42Speaker 2: while they're because they're working two jobs or something like that,
- 25:45Speaker 2: and trying.
- 25:45Speaker 3: To be a staff writer for example.
- 25:47Speaker 2: He said, like he would go and ask them for
- 25:49Speaker 2: some type of help for these people, and you know,
- 25:51Speaker 2: essentially Disney would laugh in their face at him, laugh
- 25:54Speaker 2: in his face, or they would they would say, you know,
- 25:56Speaker 2: they would make his life harder because he was trying
- 25:59Speaker 2: to buck the norm or the status quo.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Yeah, which doesn't sound far fetched because I don't know
- 26:06Speaker 1: what the rate for staff writer for animation is, but
- 26:08Speaker 1: I know it's usually less than it is for a
- 26:11Speaker 1: staff writer for a you know, regular series and I
- 26:15Speaker 1: also heard that Disney is trying to cheap in general
- 26:18Speaker 1: and might not.
- 26:19Speaker 2: I believe it, most multinational trillion dollars into teas are
- 26:23Speaker 2: and might.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Not pay rates that are standard rates. And you know,
- 26:27Speaker 1: especially when it comes to animation, you can get around
- 26:29Speaker 1: a lot of shit. So it's I just thought about that. Yeah,
- 26:32Speaker 1: they probably go again fucked because yeah, because animation is
- 26:37Speaker 1: about to go on strike themselves because they just don't
- 26:39Speaker 1: get paid the right way, you know.
- 26:41Speaker 4: And I know that that's why.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Spider Versus delayed in definitely right now. Yeah, yeah, you know,
- 26:46Speaker 3: but I'm gonna look good.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Get what y'all need to get paid. But continuing on this,
- 26:51Speaker 2: it was just a lot of bullying. It seems like
- 26:53Speaker 2: bullying tactic. And I'm just going by what Bo said.
- 26:56Speaker 2: It was just bullying tactics. And every time he would
- 26:59Speaker 2: try to for the rights of his own people or
- 27:02Speaker 2: himself or stand up for himself, they would just like,
- 27:04Speaker 2: look at it, you know, get a load of this
- 27:05Speaker 2: guy and make his life worse. So and it was,
- 27:09Speaker 2: and like I said, from from that standpoint, like I
- 27:11Speaker 2: hear what you're saying. At first, I was like, nigga,
- 27:13Speaker 2: all right, whatever, But I could. I believe all of that, Like, yeah,
- 27:17Speaker 2: I believe what he says, and not that it's not
- 27:19Speaker 2: hard to believe. And it's been proven time and time
- 27:21Speaker 2: and time again, even without you and I not being
- 27:24Speaker 2: in the space for in in media and you not
- 27:27Speaker 2: having a writer's background, it's been publicized time and again.
- 27:32Speaker 3: There are whole.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Strikes completely revolving around some of the points that he mentioned.
- 27:37Speaker 2: So don't like, there's no way you can tell me
- 27:40Speaker 2: what he said was all out of his ass like
- 27:43Speaker 2: they're in no way.
- 27:43Speaker 3: That's why I said, I believe, but I believe what
- 27:45Speaker 3: he says. Well, people, what do you say that executives
- 27:47Speaker 3: was telling him some wild shit? What it was? A
- 27:49Speaker 3: wild shit he said the executive told him. And I
- 27:52Speaker 3: was just like, yeah, I believe that some Disney overlord
- 27:54Speaker 3: coming at him crazy.
- 27:55Speaker 4: I believe.
- 27:57Speaker 3: I believe it because these people think they're untouchable.
- 28:01Speaker 1: The other side of it is that showrunners are a
- 28:05Speaker 1: very special breed of people, I can say.
- 28:08Speaker 3: And that's where the other side comes in, And it's.
- 28:10Speaker 1: A very rare showrunner I've ever met who isn't at
- 28:14Speaker 1: the very least a bit of an asshole. And from
- 28:17Speaker 1: what I hear. The majority of them are super assholes,
- 28:22Speaker 1: you know, and then there's like some cool ones every
- 28:24Speaker 1: now and again. Right, it's a very It takes an
- 28:27Speaker 1: egotistical person first of all, because it takes you believe
- 28:30Speaker 1: in your vision is you know, the one and when?
- 28:34Speaker 2: But yeah, it's like you can be right, but the
- 28:39Speaker 2: energy behind how you right, that's where the issues.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Lie always, you know, Like, yeah, I always talking about
- 28:47Speaker 1: Mark Barnes. So the dude I worked for in DC.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Anyone who knows the DC you know, knows Mark Barnes
- 28:52Speaker 1: club life at least. And Mark's an asshole, you know,
- 28:55Speaker 1: fuck out here. I'll talk him to his face. Yeah,
- 28:58Speaker 1: but he runs a great But.
- 29:00Speaker 4: I've always said, you ain't got to read this Benjamin
- 29:02Speaker 4: asshole to runership like that, because I've met other club
- 29:05Speaker 4: owners who ain't as much assholes and have dope clubs.
- 29:08Speaker 2: So it's like, yeah, I and as mentioned, this is
- 29:12Speaker 2: what I meant when I said I don't think he's
- 29:14Speaker 2: taking accountability because throughout this whole process, and granted you
- 29:19Speaker 2: can say people were fearful because he said the same.
- 29:21Speaker 2: He said, you know, obviously contracts and NDAs and stuff
- 29:23Speaker 2: like that. People are feelful for their own position and
- 29:26Speaker 2: stuff like that. They may not speak up, but for like,
- 29:29Speaker 2: I didn't see a lot of any type of speaking up,
- 29:33Speaker 2: like I think maybe a couple of times.
- 29:36Speaker 4: I don't.
- 29:36Speaker 3: I'm thinking back to the fact.
- 29:38Speaker 2: That he was always very vocal on Twitter right when
- 29:40Speaker 2: the show was out x me and I save when
- 29:42Speaker 2: the show was out, like the first week, maybe nothing,
- 29:44Speaker 2: but then like he was just every every week, and
- 29:46Speaker 2: it became after that next week every day that man is,
- 29:49Speaker 2: you know, giving some gems to talking about the Bondess
- 29:51Speaker 2: scenes and.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Like all that stuff.
- 29:53Speaker 2: The other people like we found some staff writers and
- 29:56Speaker 2: other people involved in the process who also started charming
- 29:58Speaker 2: in about different episodes. I never once saw them, not
- 30:02Speaker 2: to say interact, but like mention bow, no any sort
- 30:06Speaker 2: of light like I would think. This is the difficult part.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Like I said, I understand contracts, understand dag you don't want.
- 30:12Speaker 3: To and also just fear you don't want to rock
- 30:14Speaker 3: the boat. You don't want to rock the boat.
- 30:16Speaker 2: No one really spoke up on behalf of him at
- 30:20Speaker 2: any point, like and when I say speak up, I
- 30:23Speaker 2: mean not disparaging your overlord, not disparaging anyone else, just
- 30:28Speaker 2: saying yo, I really enjoyed my time, or yo, you
- 30:31Speaker 2: know that was really cool, like anything. I saw none
- 30:34Speaker 2: of that, but that.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Was another And I will say that because you know,
- 30:38Speaker 1: we we can also say that if we've been trying
- 30:40Speaker 1: to get Bow on the show, since he's starting to
- 30:42Speaker 1: follows us.
- 30:43Speaker 3: He may if he listens to the show, he mayn't
- 30:44Speaker 3: follow us after this.
- 30:45Speaker 1: But this is yeah, well fuck out there. You know,
- 30:48Speaker 1: I DM that man a million times. He got bad
- 30:52Speaker 1: to me. He gave me his email and anyone silent
- 30:55Speaker 1: understanding the situation, I understand why you were talking. I'm yeah,
- 30:59Speaker 1: I'm I'm not upset about that. I'm just a little
- 31:02Speaker 1: bothering there, like yeah, I'll do it and then they don't.
- 31:04Speaker 1: But I also understand the situation, so I get it.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean we're not entitled, right, So I understand
- 31:10Speaker 2: how he feels.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Like you said, it was a situation.
- 31:12Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a situation.
- 31:13Speaker 1: But my other side of it is on Twitter, I
- 31:16Speaker 1: did feel like I saw like once maybe twice where
- 31:20Speaker 1: Bo would big up the rest of the staff, and
- 31:24Speaker 1: I always felt that was you know, and then at
- 31:26Speaker 1: one point someone said something to him about it, and
- 31:28Speaker 1: he was like no, and at one time he's like,
- 31:30Speaker 1: look up all the names and the credits, you know,
- 31:32Speaker 1: all these people deserve work. But no, never once and
- 31:38Speaker 1: for a large part of the time, and even now
- 31:41Speaker 1: he'd be like, I came up with this, I came
- 31:42Speaker 1: up with that, I came up with that, And I'm like,
- 31:44Speaker 1: I'm sure you did a lot of it, but I
- 31:48Speaker 1: don't know. Like I've seen shirtrunners who came up with
- 31:50Speaker 1: everything and they're writing staff were basically there to, you know,
- 31:54Speaker 1: do nothing and let some checks. And then I've seen
- 31:57Speaker 1: shirtrunners who did nothing and the writer's staff did everything.
- 32:01Speaker 1: And I've seen the collaborative efforts when everybody came together
- 32:05Speaker 1: and made a season. So it's tough to say what
- 32:08Speaker 1: happened here. And then Disney is different ways of operating
- 32:11Speaker 1: their rooms where bo is not even known as a showrunner,
- 32:14Speaker 1: et cetera. So I don't know, but it did just
- 32:16Speaker 1: feel weird to me to wait that they just wouldn't
- 32:19Speaker 1: really say, yo, A lot of people worked on this.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Most of the time.
- 32:23Speaker 2: And you know what, even beyond just level of collaboration,
- 32:26Speaker 2: because this could have been a true collaborative effort, but
- 32:28Speaker 2: what was the environment, like what was the energy? Like understand,
- 32:32Speaker 2: and that's why I'm like, I think it's more important.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Why I also mentioned how other people are Like if
- 32:37Speaker 2: I was bowl and hearing me say something like that,
- 32:39Speaker 2: you may feel defensive, right, like, well, you stood up
- 32:43Speaker 2: for people, and you're the one who took the brunt
- 32:45Speaker 2: of the of the of the blows, and and you're
- 32:48Speaker 2: and potentially maybe the reason why you didn't include a
- 32:51Speaker 2: lot or talk a lot about these others because you
- 32:53Speaker 2: were trying to protect them. Fine, where why don't these
- 32:57Speaker 2: people speak up?
- 32:58Speaker 4: Right? Where?
- 33:00Speaker 2: And again there's ways to do it where you can
- 33:02Speaker 2: still protect yourself.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, I don't know. I don't know.
- 33:06Speaker 2: I'm not saying that. I'm not saying that's the end
- 33:07Speaker 2: ob all. It just looks funny to me, So.
- 33:12Speaker 3: I don't know. And like you said, just that idea
- 33:14Speaker 3: of I did this, and.
- 33:16Speaker 2: You know, when it was a lot of people involved,
- 33:19Speaker 2: and we know there was a lot of people out,
- 33:20Speaker 2: the other folks that were there, the storyboard and other people,
- 33:23Speaker 2: they said what they did, right, and it just felt
- 33:26Speaker 2: like he was saying what he did and they were
- 33:28Speaker 2: saying what they did, and they would just yeah, the
- 33:31Speaker 2: streams never crossed.
- 33:33Speaker 1: I once saw him interact with Chase Prownley, one of
- 33:36Speaker 1: the main directors, because he bided up Chase. And that
- 33:39Speaker 1: was around the same time when he was like look
- 33:41Speaker 1: up everybody, but in general, like I say, because we
- 33:45Speaker 1: were following him and peeping everything, and I was just like, Yo,
- 33:47Speaker 1: this dude is always like you know, I made this,
- 33:49Speaker 1: I made that.
- 33:50Speaker 3: And I'm like, all right, let's be clear.
- 33:52Speaker 2: We recognized that the vast at least the steering of this,
- 33:56Speaker 2: this is indeed all bow, this is his rish. Yes,
- 34:00Speaker 2: why season two got move forward without him is that
- 34:03Speaker 2: damn strong?
- 34:04Speaker 3: Probably?
- 34:04Speaker 2: So I hope he does hear this. And when you
- 34:06Speaker 2: do hear this, understand we recognize who you are. We
- 34:09Speaker 2: recognize your talent and your ability and potentially the things
- 34:14Speaker 2: you sacrifice which led to the situation that you're in
- 34:16Speaker 2: now with Disney.
- 34:18Speaker 3: I believe what you said.
- 34:19Speaker 2: I also think there's some stuff that you're not holding
- 34:22Speaker 2: yourself accountable to. What that is, I'm not one hundred
- 34:25Speaker 2: percent sure, but that's the energy I'm getting, okay, and
- 34:28Speaker 2: I'm at west.
- 34:29Speaker 3: I'm an impath. I'm really wrong about these things. It's
- 34:31Speaker 3: something going on. My brother and.
- 34:33Speaker 4: It also hurt me.
- 34:34Speaker 1: I will say when I was watching the video and
- 34:36Speaker 1: you were talking BOS talk about He's like, I'm a
- 34:40Speaker 1: nobody who just made this show and now I'm a
- 34:43Speaker 1: nobody who has this corporation trying to heal me, and
- 34:46Speaker 1: that shit hurt me because I'm like, because I know
- 34:50Speaker 1: going through that, Yeah, I know, I don't know exactly
- 34:52Speaker 1: I feel. I never got no show, bruner status, none
- 34:54Speaker 1: of that, but I know how Hollywood is, and it'll
- 34:57Speaker 1: make you feel like you're a nobody, you know, and
- 34:59Speaker 1: you will feel like nobody because like, outside of this bubble,
- 35:03Speaker 1: people don't know who the fuck this nigga is. You know,
- 35:05Speaker 1: he could walk around anywhere and no one would, you know.
- 35:08Speaker 1: It's like unless he's in this weird nerd bubble unless
- 35:11Speaker 1: you know, you know that type of yeah, so that
- 35:14Speaker 1: type of thing, you know, but in general they don't.
- 35:18Speaker 1: And then it's like he like, even by making this video,
- 35:23Speaker 1: the chances of him working like for any of the
- 35:27Speaker 1: big joints.
- 35:29Speaker 3: You think because he spoke up now, yes, that's the problem.
- 35:33Speaker 4: Oh my god, I can't. Like he said.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Disney even prior to him being like he said, Disney
- 35:37Speaker 2: black listed himself.
- 35:38Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Oh yes, oh my god, you you did get rocked
- 35:43Speaker 1: the boat at all.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Okay, so let's let's apply another layer.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Do you think this is the fact that he's black,
- 35:50Speaker 2: because if he was a white man rocking the boat,
- 35:52Speaker 2: he was still get away. But he's still They might
- 35:56Speaker 2: not fuck him for a little bit, but he will
- 35:58Speaker 2: be rideemed versus him.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Oh you kick, he would be redeemed if he was white.
- 36:03Speaker 1: If he was black, that ain't know. I don't know
- 36:05Speaker 1: if there's a chance. And then also it's the thing
- 36:08Speaker 1: of you had. I'm not sure if he built up
- 36:11Speaker 1: enough cred you you know, like we're all like, oh
- 36:14Speaker 1: my god, the greatest season ever. But again, there was
- 36:16Speaker 1: a lot of people went into that greatest season ever,
- 36:19Speaker 1: and Disney is like, well, this property is gonna sell itself.
- 36:23Speaker 1: You know, Season two might only get seventy five percent
- 36:26Speaker 1: Rotten Tomato success, but we'll still be making millions.
- 36:29Speaker 4: You know. So that's like that's their view right now.
- 36:33Speaker 4: And then they're like, well, if not, and then maybe
- 36:34Speaker 4: season three'll get ninety percent. You know, they don't give
- 36:36Speaker 4: a shit cause it's still you know, they know they
- 36:39Speaker 4: are cooking now, so it's gonna keep rolling either way.
- 36:42Speaker 4: So that's why that hurt, you know, because it's like
- 36:46Speaker 4: that man did put his heart and told into this.
- 36:49Speaker 4: A lot of this shit was him.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I know that gambit shit that you know, all that
- 36:52Speaker 1: was him, Like he was like that was in my
- 36:55Speaker 1: bible when I pitched this shit. And then you know,
- 36:58Speaker 1: for him to be your move from it and them
- 37:00Speaker 1: just keep moving. And as much as everybody you know
- 37:03Speaker 1: loved it, when that next season, if it's even near
- 37:05Speaker 1: as good, people are gonna quickly be like, oh, well, bo,
- 37:08Speaker 1: what's up with this season?
- 37:09Speaker 4: And season three? You know, that's that's just.
- 37:13Speaker 2: The reality of if there is a season three and
- 37:16Speaker 2: he's and if he truly was the.
- 37:19Speaker 3: Only special sauce behind this, and we'll see.
- 37:23Speaker 1: We'll see, we'll see season two because they're not even
- 37:25Speaker 1: going to use a lot of his ship.
- 37:27Speaker 3: They've already said that, really we're going to see even faster, We're.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Going to see fast in that because they brought in
- 37:33Speaker 1: a new showrunner. And when they do that, when they
- 37:34Speaker 1: bring in.
- 37:35Speaker 4: A new show runner, day and legally, it's a lot
- 37:37Speaker 4: of things with that, So they'll throw out as much
- 37:39Speaker 4: of that as they can.
- 37:41Speaker 2: But I thought, even legally the way, especially Disney Tissey
- 37:44Speaker 2: contracts are horrible. I've been on one. They don't let
- 37:49Speaker 2: you do nothing. You don't own nothing you own, So
- 37:53Speaker 2: why would they technically live and have to throw out anything?
- 37:56Speaker 4: But they want to take away his credits.
- 37:59Speaker 3: They don't want to take aways credits.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Yeah, and to do that, so you like you would
- 38:02Speaker 1: rewrite scripts and ship so that he wouldn't.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Have Yeah, And even though he got nominated for that
- 38:08Speaker 2: Emmy for for that episode, remember me, Like, they took
- 38:12Speaker 2: away his invite so I couldn't even go.
- 38:15Speaker 4: And then it looks like what was this Emmys?
- 38:18Speaker 2: In the in the fall listen, So everyone had been
- 38:22Speaker 2: so confused because Parl Nerds news too, Like, first of all,
- 38:28Speaker 2: congratulations to Queen angela basket.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Out of one hundred years.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Her first fucking Emmy. This is the Creative Arts Emmy.
- 38:39Speaker 2: And I don't know if this was the one that
- 38:40Speaker 2: got postponed because the stuff happening or what, or this
- 38:43Speaker 2: is just the time for the Creative Arts. And then
- 38:45Speaker 2: the other Emmys are in, like you know, winter, it's
- 38:50Speaker 2: never this time, it moves.
- 38:51Speaker 3: I didn't know what's going on, and.
- 38:53Speaker 1: The ceremony is supposed to be like this weekend, right,
- 38:55Speaker 1: they're actually showing the ceremony.
- 38:56Speaker 4: This weekend, I know?
- 38:58Speaker 3: Is when?
- 38:58Speaker 4: When? So what did she win for?
- 39:01Speaker 2: The Bassett came up? But the thing I said, wait
- 39:03Speaker 2: a minute, best what Best Actress? Creative Arts Emmy for
- 39:08Speaker 2: narrating queens like the Lions.
- 39:11Speaker 3: The thing about Lions is that let.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Me see this is and it was and show. It's like,
- 39:17Speaker 2: I'm glad, but I'm also like, how disrespectful.
- 39:20Speaker 4: There's some bootleg and ain't the real enemies.
- 39:23Speaker 3: It's the creative It's the Creative Emmys. Man, what do
- 39:26Speaker 3: you mean?
- 39:29Speaker 4: This is not the real Emmys.
- 39:32Speaker 3: It's gonna be on FX SEX when September fourteenth.
- 39:35Speaker 4: Just ain't the real Emmies on FX sex.
- 39:38Speaker 3: No, I'm just saying it's one of the stations.
- 39:42Speaker 4: If you ship on the ABC, NBC or CBS, it
- 39:45Speaker 4: ain't the real Emmies.
- 39:47Speaker 1: If your grandma can't watched this ship with no problem.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:52Speaker 2: So first of all, first of all, it doesn't matter
- 39:54Speaker 2: everything streaming, Okay, I don't care who owns what everything streaming. Second,
- 39:57Speaker 2: she won for Outstanding Narrator Angela actually for queens African
- 40:02Speaker 2: Queens and that's about the female Lionesses, all right?
- 40:05Speaker 4: Cool anyway, and they lost to.
- 40:12Speaker 1: The Michael Green and them the Samurai ship Blue Samurai.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean Blue Samurai was crazy.
- 40:25Speaker 3: I how fucking ended Michael Green.
- 40:28Speaker 4: I'm mad at you, brouh And I'll talk to you
- 40:30Speaker 4: about how would you do that? Bro? We know why
- 40:32Speaker 4: you did that for the money, bro, for.
- 40:34Speaker 3: The money months ago.
- 40:37Speaker 4: For the money.
- 40:39Speaker 2: But nah, bro, like if you're talking about a full body,
- 40:42Speaker 2: serious season of work that was perfect from nose.
- 40:46Speaker 3: To tip, yeah, nose to tail.
- 40:51Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 40:51Speaker 3: Man, are you serious right now?
- 40:54Speaker 4: Serious?
- 40:55Speaker 3: Whatever?
- 40:56Speaker 4: I mean? Blue Samurai was final?
- 40:59Speaker 2: Alatics, you want to talk your side, you want to
- 41:02Speaker 2: cuss me out, I prefer you do it on our show,
- 41:05Speaker 2: but uh, you know, let's do it.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:08Speaker 1: I would love to talk to you about this. I
- 41:09Speaker 1: mean not even about this. I was just like I said,
- 41:11Speaker 1: that was my thing I always wanted to say.
- 41:13Speaker 4: Because people are like, you'll ask him why he got fired,
- 41:15Speaker 4: and I was like, I ain't asking that nigga. Shit,
- 41:16Speaker 4: that's I'm asking that nigga about this show. And you know,
- 41:19Speaker 4: like how like.
- 41:21Speaker 2: As we say, we're always going to keep it real
- 41:24Speaker 2: and one on this show, and we're going to say
- 41:26Speaker 2: how it is. We're also to us, we're not going
- 41:28Speaker 2: to ask the obvious, and you know, yeah, silly honestly.
- 41:32Speaker 2: And when I say silly, I don't mean it's a
- 41:34Speaker 2: stupid question. I just mean it's silly because I'm not.
- 41:36Speaker 4: Going he can't answer it.
- 41:38Speaker 3: He can't can't answer it.
- 41:39Speaker 2: And too, I'm not going to trigger someone right away
- 41:41Speaker 2: on some ship like that that you can't even.
- 41:45Speaker 3: Control.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Like, let's talk about something that that's more opprescient.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Right, I've been fired.
- 41:50Speaker 1: If someone had asked me why I got fired or
- 41:52Speaker 1: what happened off American Gods a month after it, I
- 41:55Speaker 1: would have slapped him in the face, right.
- 41:57Speaker 2: And know what I'm saying, like, And the timing was
- 42:00Speaker 2: now that he's spoken up about it, like I said,
- 42:02Speaker 2: the person opens the door, then you know.
- 42:05Speaker 4: Now we can see Yeah, but yeah.
- 42:07Speaker 3: But before we can't do that.
- 42:08Speaker 1: And there wasn't even no controversy when I got fired.
- 42:10Speaker 1: It was just Hollywood ship and I was still I
- 42:12Speaker 1: don't ask me about that fuck out. You're still people
- 42:15Speaker 1: talk about neo gaming now, so I mean I'm being redeemed.
- 42:19Speaker 1: But somebody came up to me and Mellow recently was like, oh,
- 42:21Speaker 1: you worked on American God, you must love Nego gaming.
- 42:24Speaker 1: I was like, fuck no, I don't.
- 42:25Speaker 4: And they were like, oh what. I was like, nigga,
- 42:28Speaker 4: Fuck no, I don't.
- 42:29Speaker 1: And then you know, like a week later, you have
- 42:31Speaker 1: more central misconduct allegations came out against him, but I
- 42:36Speaker 1: already didn't fuck with him, so you know, and with that,
- 42:42Speaker 1: you know, thanks for getting me into Hollywood. I mean,
- 42:45Speaker 1: you know, it's you know, your book got me there.
- 42:47Speaker 1: But you know, beyond that.
- 42:48Speaker 4: Fuck out here nigga been a lot of fun out
- 42:51Speaker 4: of here. This like.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Y'all giving us fuck out of here material.
- 42:57Speaker 4: Yeah. Sorry. And with that though, we are gonna take
- 43:01Speaker 4: a short break and we'll be back with more for
- 43:04Speaker 4: all nerds, so you ain't gotta get the fuck out
- 43:06Speaker 4: of here, yo yo yo, shup waite Barro Manch. I'm
- 43:14Speaker 4: tuned in to for all nerds.

- 43:27Speaker 3: Everybody. My name is Brown, and you are now listening
- 43:31Speaker 3: to for All.
- 43:32Speaker 4: Nerds, What's up?
- 43:33Speaker 3: Everybody's des Troy Jeffrey and you're watching for All Nerds?
- 43:52Speaker 1: All right, and we are back, y'all, and right now
- 43:55Speaker 1: we got a very special review of the new Transformers
- 44:00Speaker 1: animated film.
- 44:01Speaker 4: I don't even know the name.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Of this Transformers one because unfortunately, like you see, I
- 44:08Speaker 1: was down bad. You know, I've been doing too much signing,
- 44:12Speaker 1: so I couldn't make it to the screening. I've all
- 44:14Speaker 1: been here for months. That Transformers one is some fire
- 44:18Speaker 1: like you know. That was like one of the ones
- 44:20Speaker 1: where I.
- 44:20Speaker 4: Was like word and they're like, nah, bro, Like don't
- 44:23Speaker 4: you know. I know the.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Movies or whatever, they're okay, but they're like this animated
- 44:27Speaker 1: joint they got coming out.
- 44:28Speaker 4: I think I started hearing this like last year.
- 44:30Speaker 1: People are like, yo, next year. And then I saw
- 44:32Speaker 1: the trailer and I was like, I don't know. The
- 44:34Speaker 1: animation didn't look much to me, and I was like,
- 44:37Speaker 1: I don't know, but people are like, nah, bro, it's
- 44:39Speaker 1: fires fire. So I really wanted to see the joint.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I did not get to see it, but our very
- 44:43Speaker 1: own Ta Town the King got to see it. So
- 44:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna We're gonna do a pretty much no spoiler
- 44:49Speaker 1: review because I still want to see this joint, yes,
- 44:51Speaker 1: and we're not gonna spoil y'all, So.
- 44:54Speaker 3: No, no spoiler review, spoiler review, you go ahead.
- 45:00Speaker 1: It's animated, right, I know absolutely nothing people haven't saying.
- 45:05Speaker 1: You told me before the show started that a lot
- 45:07Speaker 1: of this has been spoiled for people. So if you
- 45:09Speaker 1: are out there, watch out that people are spoiling and
- 45:11Speaker 1: left and right, be.
- 45:12Speaker 2: Careful, guys, that ass The whole, if not most, of
- 45:15Speaker 2: the movie is already online and there are images, there
- 45:18Speaker 2: are and it's all over Twitter to so be very
- 45:21Speaker 2: careful with them hashtags.
- 45:22Speaker 4: Like the whole the whole movie, the videos online.
- 45:25Speaker 3: Or whole scenes are out there.
- 45:27Speaker 4: I'm not the whole thing, you know. I'm just asking
- 45:30Speaker 4: for a friend.
- 45:33Speaker 3: I don't know about that. You know my agent is listening.
- 45:39Speaker 4: About I'm just had for friends. But no. So for
- 45:43Speaker 4: those who have seen nothing, what is the general plot
- 45:46Speaker 4: of this trip? I don't know, Jack Sure.
- 45:49Speaker 2: I'm gonna ask that question a second, because I want
- 45:51Speaker 2: to just lead up with the fact that, yes, a
- 45:56Speaker 2: lot of critics actually already seen this a bit ago,
- 45:59Speaker 2: and I heard rumblings, but I didn't really pay attention
- 46:02Speaker 2: to the details. I also purposely didn't Besides, like that
- 46:05Speaker 2: one trailer, I didn't watch anything about it.
- 46:08Speaker 3: I didn't seek any information about it.
- 46:09Speaker 2: And I did not even know the plot of the
- 46:11Speaker 2: movie until I sat my ass down in the theater. Okay,
- 46:14Speaker 2: nice shout out to our peoples, because we was in
- 46:17Speaker 2: the bigdobe theater to the big damn it's.
- 46:19Speaker 3: Only Adobe one. Yeah, I was on the I was
- 46:21Speaker 3: on the top, bro.
- 46:24Speaker 4: Feet up.
- 46:25Speaker 3: Oh and we got popcorn, and we got candy, and
- 46:28Speaker 3: we got what else?
- 46:28Speaker 4: Sall damn it. There was no special bucket.
- 46:33Speaker 2: No, we ain't get nothing special. No, you got the
- 46:35Speaker 2: you got the works. When you went to the Wolverine screening, Yeah, yeah,
- 46:39Speaker 2: that was a really big one.
- 46:40Speaker 3: Yeah. Maybe they did something in the three D version.
- 46:43Speaker 2: I just went to the standard death because I don't
- 46:44Speaker 2: give a damn about versions of the film most times.
- 46:48Speaker 2: I actually accidentally saw Deadpool on three D and I
- 46:51Speaker 2: was so mad about that.
- 46:52Speaker 4: But yeah, I ain't seen years now.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Yeah, the story and I'll read the line here, the
- 46:58Speaker 2: untold origins of Optimist Prime and Megatron.
- 47:02Speaker 1: That's what it is. It's young Optimists and young Megatron.
- 47:06Speaker 2: Yeah, better known as sworn enemies, but once we're friends,
- 47:09Speaker 2: bonded like brothers, who changed the fate of Cybertron forever.
- 47:13Speaker 3: That am That is the plot line.
- 47:15Speaker 4: So this ship okay, So judgeing by that and judging
- 47:18Speaker 4: by your reaction to it, I would say this ship
- 47:20Speaker 4: must go real hard on the breakup of Optimists and Megatron.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Ben DJ yeah of four our nerds of Ben Hampton,
- 47:31Speaker 2: if you will, yes, this shit goes so goddamn hard, right,
- 47:36Speaker 2: say this first of all, and let me be very clear.
- 47:38Speaker 3: I am a Transformers fan. Okay. I came in on
- 47:40Speaker 3: beast wards.
- 47:41Speaker 2: That's where my entry point was, Ben, I mean it
- 47:43Speaker 2: was there in the beginning.
- 47:45Speaker 3: There in the beginning.
- 47:47Speaker 4: Okay, those are some of my first toys ever.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Dog, this is this generational difference.
- 47:51Speaker 4: Okay.
- 47:52Speaker 2: That aside, If you are any sort of Transformers fan,
- 47:56Speaker 2: if you get any inkling of understanding of transform even
- 48:00Speaker 2: if you are fast forward now you gen z whatever
- 48:03Speaker 2: you on. You only know Michael Bay, right, you only
- 48:06Speaker 2: know what you know now the live action shit, you
- 48:09Speaker 2: are gonna be like, oh my god, this ship is hard.
- 48:13Speaker 2: This ship Transformers one as hard as fuck. Transformers one
- 48:16Speaker 2: slaps Transformers one bangs, And here is why they this
- 48:23Speaker 2: origin story the way that it was told. It wasn't
- 48:27Speaker 2: told in a cartoony way, even though it's plenty of humor.
- 48:31Speaker 2: It wasn't told in a in a like disre like
- 48:35Speaker 2: I guess what I'm saying, like a money grab kind
- 48:37Speaker 2: of way. Like it's very witty too. It was told
- 48:40Speaker 2: in a way that it's a relatable story.
- 48:44Speaker 3: And then when you.
- 48:45Speaker 2: After you watch it, as you're watching it as the
- 48:47Speaker 2: shit unfolds, like honestly, the way they characterize both Optimist
- 48:53Speaker 2: Prime and Megatron, like if you've ever had a problem
- 48:55Speaker 2: on any of these characters, that shit is gone because
- 48:57Speaker 2: now you see this is truly this is literally the
- 49:00Speaker 2: core of who these catast are because it's when they
- 49:02Speaker 2: was young. Right, So this was before all that shit
- 49:05Speaker 2: you see after the fact, right right, all that optimist bullshit,
- 49:10Speaker 2: all that you know, I'm I'm the main guy, like
- 49:14Speaker 2: ot missphasis to be off because I don't. He just
- 49:16Speaker 2: he tends to do too much. He's a great fighter,
- 49:18Speaker 2: but he tends to do too much. He tends to
- 49:19Speaker 2: be like, I'm good Megatron. Obviously, this nigga just wants
- 49:23Speaker 2: to burn the world down right, But it didn't always
- 49:25Speaker 2: be that way. And when you get to see from
- 49:29Speaker 2: the ground up how their relationship was, they put so
- 49:33Speaker 2: much depth into these two technically, these two toys that
- 49:38Speaker 2: now have life and have meaning and have again a
- 49:41Speaker 2: relationship and brotherhood.
- 49:43Speaker 3: Like all of the all.
- 49:44Speaker 2: The words in that sentence I've read earlier are one
- 49:47Speaker 2: ndre percent true in the way that they wrote this
- 49:49Speaker 2: fucking movie. And it is so entertaining. It is funny,
- 49:55Speaker 2: it is I mentioned humorous. It looks fucking fantastic. Ben
- 50:02Speaker 2: Ilm put their foot in this ship because I was
- 50:05Speaker 2: also surprised.
- 50:06Speaker 3: I ain't realize this.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Steven Spilsberg is an executive producer and Michael Bay is
- 50:10Speaker 2: a producer. And this was directed by Josh Cooley, which
- 50:14Speaker 2: who I don't know what else he directed, but oh,
- 50:17Speaker 2: toy Toys. He did Toy Story four and Inside Out.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Oh that's why this ship was so goddamn good. Yeah,
- 50:24Speaker 2: oh my god, now it makes all he did.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Oh ohkaw.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Up, there is no this this this ship is this
- 50:38Speaker 2: ship is was a fucking blast.
- 50:40Speaker 3: I had my misgiving.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Like you said, you saw the trailer, you was just
- 50:43Speaker 2: like whatever I thought you know, this could be some
- 50:46Speaker 2: ship that they just gonna put on the streaming services
- 50:48Speaker 2: and you know, make call of the Day.
- 50:50Speaker 3: No, this ship is movie worthy. This ship is movie worthy.
- 50:54Speaker 2: And especially as like the first ten minutes they had
- 50:57Speaker 2: me locked and at the end, like or even like
- 51:01Speaker 2: halfway through, I was like, I need Ben here because damn,
- 51:04Speaker 2: there's so much and you don't know them until you know.
- 51:08Speaker 2: But even if you don't know, it's okay. There are
- 51:10Speaker 2: so many fucking Eastern eggs in here. There are so
- 51:13Speaker 2: many characters, There are so many sub stories and plots
- 51:17Speaker 2: that unless you was there from the beginning like Ben,
- 51:20Speaker 2: unless you was there from the Beast Wars, unless you
- 51:22Speaker 2: was there from Michael Bay, you wouldn't know and it
- 51:24Speaker 2: wouldn't make sense to you. So there's so many entry
- 51:27Speaker 2: points for every generation of Transformer fan in here. And
- 51:32Speaker 2: even if you don't know shit about Transformers, you just
- 51:34Speaker 2: want to see a good ass movie, that's it. This
- 51:36Speaker 2: shit was on the caliber of the good Pixar movies.
- 51:40Speaker 4: Spider Verse tough, tough.
- 51:48Speaker 2: I don't know if I can answer that tough, because yeah,
- 51:51Speaker 2: to me, Civers is a different movie.
- 51:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it's tough, and.
- 51:55Speaker 1: I think Spider Verse does that advantage of being winning
- 51:57Speaker 1: things versus pushing the me and at least from what
- 52:02Speaker 1: I've seen in this animation, I didn't see that same
- 52:04Speaker 1: stuff from it, Like the trailer didn't give me this
- 52:06Speaker 1: is pushing the medium.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Ship going back to that island. Put the old goddamn foot.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Okay, might be wrong when I say go ahead, no, and.
- 52:15Speaker 1: I just think that, like from what you're saying, I
- 52:17Speaker 1: think the trailer is just one of them terrible trailers.
- 52:20Speaker 2: Thank God, thank God is a terrible trailer because it
- 52:24Speaker 2: sets you up thinking, Okay, this is gonna be some
- 52:26Speaker 2: regulati shah.
- 52:28Speaker 4: The trailer is super goofy and there's.
- 52:31Speaker 2: Funny because yeah, best believe this is still a movie
- 52:34Speaker 2: for kids technically, right.
- 52:36Speaker 3: Yeah, the whole point of Transformers is to sell toys.
- 52:39Speaker 2: When the before the movie starts, you see a giant
- 52:41Speaker 2: emblem that says has Bro.
- 52:43Speaker 3: You know what Hasbro is monopoly, This company all toys.
- 52:48Speaker 2: Okay, at the end of the day, this is about
- 52:49Speaker 2: selling toys, and we see them in the back.
- 52:52Speaker 4: This is Hasbro behind me, this is you.
- 52:54Speaker 2: Know, that's what happened at the end of the day.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Let's be very clear what this is about. So the
- 52:58Speaker 2: level of story still has to be accessible enough for kids,
- 53:03Speaker 2: but also keep adults and gage because like I said,
- 53:05Speaker 2: Transformers is what fifty years old?
- 53:07Speaker 4: Now, if that's forty.
- 53:12Speaker 2: At least forty a forty old property, I mean an
- 53:15Speaker 2: ip so there's there's a lot potentially at stake and
- 53:18Speaker 2: all this other stuff.
- 53:19Speaker 3: But like I think, I think.
- 53:20Speaker 2: My the stars that I you know, I didn't get
- 53:24Speaker 2: all hype beforehand because I went there completely blank slate,
- 53:28Speaker 2: and I was just blown away. Really, I was impressed
- 53:31Speaker 2: by it. I was impressed just again about the visuals.
- 53:36Speaker 2: I the way that it was. It was CGI. It's
- 53:40Speaker 2: CGI type animation, but they look like toys. And I
- 53:45Speaker 2: don't know if I'm if I'm expressing this in the
- 53:47Speaker 2: proper terms. It's like I felt as I was watching,
- 53:52Speaker 2: I felt like I was holding a Megatron and and
- 53:56Speaker 2: Optimists and.
- 53:57Speaker 3: All the other characters. I was holding them. It was
- 53:59Speaker 3: as if a kid was playing out their life.
- 54:01Speaker 2: And when I say that, I don't mean they were
- 54:03Speaker 2: like bouncing around the mid air like like I mean,
- 54:05Speaker 2: they had full life, full range of motion. But at
- 54:08Speaker 2: the end of the day, you knew they were toys
- 54:10Speaker 2: and they were in this imaginating world and they were
- 54:13Speaker 2: sentient and they were you know, have independence, and it
- 54:16Speaker 2: was it was just literally.
- 54:18Speaker 3: And again I'm also this is the fandom in me
- 54:20Speaker 3: coming out.
- 54:20Speaker 2: It was as if your dreams of how the storyline
- 54:24Speaker 2: would go with these Transformer characters if it came to life,
- 54:27Speaker 2: and that's what it was.
- 54:28Speaker 3: And that's probably that toy story stuff from Josh.
- 54:31Speaker 1: Now see, I think the biggest thing that this film
- 54:35Speaker 1: is trying to run into, especially from people who are
- 54:38Speaker 1: like bid fans or from my generation, is the Transformers
- 54:41Speaker 1: the movie comparison, because Transformers the movie is I want
- 54:46Speaker 1: to say, eighty four as old as dirt now, but
- 54:49Speaker 1: it was an animated film that they did after like
- 54:52Speaker 1: the first two seasons of g One. They did a
- 54:56Speaker 1: big budget movie and overall, like I was just telling
- 54:59Speaker 1: Totown during the break, it's a fucking incredible film. Like
- 55:03Speaker 1: it has some of the biggest voice acting cast ever,
- 55:07Speaker 1: Like it is literally Orson Wells last film. He plays Unicorn,
- 55:13Speaker 1: and it is you know, the legendary Orson Wells and
- 55:16Speaker 1: it is his last film. Leonard Nimoy plays Galvatron yep,
- 55:22Speaker 1: Spock up in there.
- 55:23Speaker 4: Killing it as Galvatron. Here's a hint.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's I won't tell you to set
- 55:28Speaker 1: up for that line for here's the hint, but it is.
- 55:31Speaker 1: Anyone who's seen that movie, it's one of the favorite
- 55:33Speaker 1: lines ever. You're gonna cry laughing when you watch it out. Danna, Like,
- 55:37Speaker 1: just remember that I said, here's a hint, and you're
- 55:39Speaker 1: gonna cry.
- 55:40Speaker 2: How I felt when you told me to read the
- 55:42Speaker 2: original Infinity Gauntlet and I was crying.
- 55:47Speaker 3: I could not.
- 55:47Speaker 1: Believe it, Nigga, when I was in the theater, I
- 55:51Speaker 1: fell out of my seat laughing. It was it was
- 55:54Speaker 1: like as a kid. It was a moment that I
- 55:56Speaker 1: waited for forever, for those two seasons of that first
- 56:00Speaker 1: I was so happy for it, but bad to the
- 56:02Speaker 1: whole thing. It is a wild movie because, while once
- 56:07Speaker 1: again it is made for kids, the story behind the
- 56:10Speaker 1: scenes was Hasbro at the time was like, Yo, we've
- 56:15Speaker 1: already sold enough Optimist Primes, We've.
- 56:17Speaker 4: Sold enough bumble Bees, We've sold enough of these. Get
- 56:21Speaker 4: rid of all these niggas so we can make new toys.
- 56:24Speaker 4: So the riders of the movie, we're like word, get
- 56:26Speaker 4: rid of and murdered awful lot of transformers. Like everybody
- 56:30Speaker 4: knows Optimist Prime dies in the film, but it's not
- 56:33Speaker 4: him that is the devastating shit, at least for young Ben.
- 56:36Speaker 4: I mean when I'm sitting in the theater and they
- 56:38Speaker 4: shoot Prowl in the chest and smoke pours out of
- 56:41Speaker 4: this nigga's mouth, Like, so I'm wondering, do we get
- 56:45Speaker 4: that type of stuff and transfers w cause this shit
- 56:49Speaker 4: was dark?
- 56:50Speaker 3: Yeah, well it's not. This isn't.
- 56:52Speaker 2: There's some dark things happening, but I won't say it's
- 56:55Speaker 2: a dark movie.
- 56:56Speaker 3: Right at the end of the day, this still gotta be.
- 56:58Speaker 4: Oh there's super Goofy shouldn't transforms the movie too, But
- 57:02Speaker 4: like I'm just saying, it begins with a slaughter of
- 57:05Speaker 4: most of the autobio, A lot of except the cons
- 57:08Speaker 4: get killed. And I'm talking the beginning this one, the
- 57:11Speaker 4: first ten minutes season.
- 57:14Speaker 3: This point isn't death.
- 57:16Speaker 4: No, let me tell you how quick it happens. The
- 57:19Speaker 4: first time I saw this movie, I went to see
- 57:20Speaker 4: it by myself as a kid. I rode the bus
- 57:22Speaker 4: in the theater, went to see it, got there late, right,
- 57:24Speaker 4: so I missed these niggas then murdered because I was
- 57:27Speaker 4: like ten minutes late. Now, oh my god, oh my god,
- 57:31Speaker 4: they are dead within the first ten minutes.
- 57:33Speaker 2: Example, this is this is an adventure movie, this is
- 57:37Speaker 2: a buddy movie, stuff like that. But at the end
- 57:40Speaker 2: of the day, it truly is from beginning to end,
- 57:42Speaker 2: it is an organic progression of two bots that were
- 57:47Speaker 2: dead ass besties.
- 57:50Speaker 4: Yeah, that's ill too.
- 57:52Speaker 3: And the bend. I wasn't shocked because I was like, because.
- 57:56Speaker 2: My thing, you could do anything right about figuring out
- 57:58Speaker 2: why their enemies right, you can say anything, but the
- 58:00Speaker 2: way they got there, that the reason like it was
- 58:04Speaker 2: actually plausible. Like yes, from a writing mechanic perspective it
- 58:09Speaker 2: made sense, but literally, just from an emotional perspective, I
- 58:12Speaker 2: was like, I feel him and I.
- 58:15Speaker 3: See both sides.
- 58:16Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fire.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Because one, I mean, I'm sure I haven't read enough
- 58:20Speaker 1: for the comics and stuff, but I know, like there's
- 58:22Speaker 1: like some really incredible Transformers comments. I know a dude
- 58:26Speaker 1: who I really respect kept telling me how I needed
- 58:28Speaker 1: to read this one line. They were like, this is
- 58:30Speaker 1: the greatest comic book out right. Now it's just like
- 58:33Speaker 1: super emotional anything you've learned from a comic, so I
- 58:36Speaker 1: know they've explored that already, you know, in the comics
- 58:39Speaker 1: especially other mediums.
- 58:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I haven't read it either, but.
- 58:43Speaker 1: I really like this because that's so different than Transformers
- 58:46Speaker 1: the movie, because Transformers the movie picks up after like
- 58:51Speaker 1: it's one hundred years I think, I'm not sure it's
- 58:54Speaker 1: not a hundred, but it's even mad years later from
- 58:57Speaker 1: when the cartoon was. So it's like these niggas have
- 58:59Speaker 1: been like Megatron on one point said I've waited thousands
- 59:02Speaker 1: of years for this moment when you're about to kill.
- 59:04Speaker 3: Prime, like, so that shit was way down the Yeah,
- 59:06Speaker 3: you know.
- 59:07Speaker 4: So it's like they been so this is the beginning
- 59:09Speaker 4: and then that's the end.
- 59:10Speaker 3: You know, this is the beginning.
- 59:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and the other part why And again this is
- 59:16Speaker 2: maybe the nerdy stuff coming out for me in me,
- 59:19Speaker 2: but the lore, like.
- 59:22Speaker 3: The lore is so rich.
- 59:23Speaker 2: I just forgot how deep Transformer really goes in terms
- 59:27Speaker 2: of Lord Like I that ass became a book, Like
- 59:30Speaker 2: immediately I was like, oh no, I got to read
- 59:32Speaker 2: my shit, like because like I said, there's so much
- 59:34Speaker 2: things being reference in the in the back that you
- 59:36Speaker 2: don't even realize it's happening.
- 59:37Speaker 3: Like it doesn't take away or it doesn't take away
- 59:40Speaker 3: anything from the film.
- 59:40Speaker 2: It's like, if you don't know, it's not gonna affect you.
- 59:43Speaker 2: But like if you do know, you're sitting there with
- 59:44Speaker 2: your hands on your head, like, oh my god. But
- 59:47Speaker 2: that lore and this to continue to enrich the lore
- 59:50Speaker 2: more and give more context and body to just oh,
- 59:53Speaker 2: these two niggas hate each other, like it's way. It's
- 59:56Speaker 2: at the end of this, I said, it is way
- 59:58Speaker 2: more than I thought.
- 59:59Speaker 3: It wasn't some nigga that don't like this nigga. It's
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: it's deep seated, right, And it was giving Magneto versus
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: Professor X that death.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: And it was at the end I was like, God, damn,
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: I just saw an X Men situation.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Yeah, and I was trying to look it up to
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: actually see who it is because I was no, no,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: not that, no, not that about like the whole creation
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: of the Transformers, because like I used to read the
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: comments back in the day, and that's what I was
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: telling Tati in between that it was interesting how the
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: whole thing was created, right, because basically what happened was,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: I want to say, it's Hasbro. Even then Hasbro basically
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: bought up the rights to a bunch of different Japanese
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: toys like Megatron was from one company, you know, the
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Optimist Prime toys from another company. This guy was from
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: another company. So they bought up all this shit. It
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: was like, Okay, we're gonna put all this together for
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: an American line of toys, and you know, since most
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: of these are transformable toys, we're gonna call something. And
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: then they went to Marvel Comics and was like, Yo,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: we really want to sell this joint. I'm not sure
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: if they'd already done G I Joe with them or not,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: but it was like basically the same type of thing
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: where they basically had all these toys that had all
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: these Japanese names, et cetera, and it was like Marvel,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: someone over there, write this pumic and just give us
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: a story.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: So, I'm not sure who it is if it's between
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Larry Hammer. Larry Hammer is the one who he's one
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: of my gods. Yeah, he wrote all the Gidro shit.
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: Then people list him, but they also listened Bob Boody Anstey, who.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: I've heard about before, and Bob Harris who was the editor.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: And out of those three people, they basically came up
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: with everything we know like they came up with the
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: whole idea of them fleeing Cybertron, you know, crash landing
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: on the Earth. They came up with Optors, Prime, Megatron,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: the names, the characterizations, Star Spree, all these different characters
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: and how they acted, how they interacted, and that comic
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: book back in the day it was fire and like
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: it was like the I think Bob Harris always heard
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: and Bob BUDNSTI were like the last people to take
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: the job, like nobody else in Marvel wanted to take
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: the job, you know, and they took the job. And
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I've also heard they came up with most of that
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: shit in a weekend because they had to do a
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: pitch back to has Bro. So like they went home
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: on Friday night and by Monday, I mean everything that
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: we know, you know, like it's at least generation one. Yeah,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: the majority of Generation one shit came up.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: In that weekend.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: Jesus Christ.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: I mean the reason and this history, like the reason
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: why I'm so tapped in right now, Like Wow, I'm
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: just wild passionate about what I saw and everything it
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: connects to. Because it also it's a legacy, like this
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: movie in itself obviously it builds into the pre existing legacy,
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: but it gives you more. And it just reminded I
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: was just like, my god, when I talked about how
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: deep it goes, like all the different generational, generational iterations
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: of trying, Like I mentioned Beeswars, and there was stuff
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: clearly mass shit before that, and it was different versions
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: of the Transformers after that.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: Right, there's there's versions now that I don't.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Know what the fuck they are of what vehicle animal
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: they could be, but just the fact that and it's
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: like this idea of this story that's retold over and
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: over again in a you know, a bit different way
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: because it's a good ass story. It has the bones
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: and this has its bones and they strong ass BONESE Okay,
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: this is good.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: That's another one is I remember I watched the Toys
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: that Made Us documentary and the Transformers episode. If you
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: haven't seen that, you should peep that topdown and you
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: will watch it, like.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: I forgot, like and that's what I'm saying, like, and
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: let me be clear, Like people's like, oh, well, you
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: just you were a Transformers had I wasn't watching listening
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: to know, goddamn Transformers. Nothing like I've largely ignored most
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: of the rest of the last few Transformers films, with
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: the exception the one where we went to the red
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: carpet event like whatever the other I think that was
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: one right after that I ain't see I I didn't
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: see a lot of those Bumblebee movies.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: No, that's the latest bumble Bee's fire. That was the
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: laated fun. Bumblebee was great.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: It was something I felt like, it was something else
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: that I missed. And I'm not saying that it wasn't good.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: It's just like I wasn't I wasn't on you know,
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: I just wasn't there for that, and so it's not
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: like I was just like always you know, glazing over
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: Transformers like no, Like I was just like, it's cool.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: It's something that I liked, and you know, I kept
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: it pushing something I knew.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: But for this to like throw me immediately back into
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: the Fanmily, I'm like I told Ben, I mean, I said,
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: I'm buying all the goddamn toys from this film immediately.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: And see, for me, I'm hyped because I am at
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: least for g One. I'm a g One head, you know,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: like that was one of the first toys I ever
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: bought that movie and that show where like big parts
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: of my childhood, just massive parts of my childhood.
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: And in that comment, but for I want.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: To say, at least the first thirty forty fifty issues,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I bought all them shits and bred them and they
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: were great, you know, so like it was a lot
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: of stuff that you know, I just loved to death
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: about them. And like I said, the Transformer is the movie.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many times I've seen it.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I know most of it by heart, you know, Like
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: I cannot tell you how many times I've.
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: Watched that movie.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: Replayability that that's what you just said in my replayability
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: a Transformers ones, it's there. This is something you can
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: watch again again if you want to own in the background,
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: find whatever. But this is something that you will enjoy
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: watching again because it's a good film. It is really
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: truly that good. The voice acting is impeccable. They I
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: don't know how many iterations they went with each of
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: these actors like really delivered these lines. But it don't
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: feel like, you know, someone talking over the character on screen.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: It feels like the voices are coming through the essence.
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: Of the characters. And again, deep deep deep deep. What's
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: the word like when you're talking about things that like like,
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: what's the word. I'm looking for mythology, like deep mythology here.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: So like for example, Chris Hemsworth, he's Optimus Prime, right
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: the catter And I can tell you the catch that's
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: that's that's not a uh.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: Before he was off in crime, he was called a
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: Ryan packs.
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: Yeah. Oh yeah, that's straight from that.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: That's straight lord that I don't know that ship.
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: Brian Tyree Henry paperboy from Atlanta, he's Megatron. Wow D
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: sixteen is what he was before he was Megatron. And
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: when I say the moment he opened his mouth, I said,
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: that's a black.
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: Man, and he is. So, I mean, I don't know,
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: I didn't know.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: All these people were the voices. Okay, when I heard Brian,
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: I said, that's a nigga.
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: He's wild underrated man.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: He's so when I say the fact that they made megachrona.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: Nigga, that and also it's just like why the black
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: man got to be the bad then, But again it's
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: a layered and new fat guy.
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: So that's where layered and nuanced.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: Scarlett Johansson is Alita one she's the pink one. Keegan
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Michael Kay, he's Bumblebee, nice and fantastic job.
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: John Hammon is Sentinel Prime. And then Lauren is the leader.
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: One, RC's mom.
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: I don't know Laurence Fishburn.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: RC is not indocent. RC is the other pink robot.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Okay, I know, so I don't want to give nothing away,
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: so because I might have an answer for you, Lauren. Uh,
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Morpheus is Alpha try On, which you'll see who that
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: is when you watch.
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: And then I kind of know who Alpha try On
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: is already, Okay.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: Steve Shemy is Star Scream. Oh nice, Stary Scream is
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: one of my favorites.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Oh well, you have to see The Transformers the movie.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: You've got no like, you need to watch it tonight.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: It's on YouTube even you. You should watch it like
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: as soon as you can.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: And there's some others that they've that I don't want
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: to say because I want you to be surprised when.
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: You please please don't yeah, because I want to.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I just named the main top one that I know.
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: I kind of know. Alpha Tron is right, he's one
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: of the dudes before Prime, I.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: Think, but yeah, yeah, he's an elder.
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I knew that.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: Yeah, that's off in the book and O'Ryan packs straight
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: from I think that goes back to the comic. I
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: think that's the first time he's name because I know
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: that name, So that goes back to when I was.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: Reading something okay, and I didn't know none of this,
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: so I was just sitting there there, Yeah, okay, cool, cool.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: And that's what I'm saying.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: It was so funny and so stupid to me, like
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: when I went in there not knowing anything. I was
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: sitting there watching. I was like, this Nigga looks like
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: Optimus Prime. This one looks like Megatron. And then I
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: was just because you know, they don't this is the
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: beginning when they're when they kids, so they don't exactly
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: look the way they do, but they got the you know,
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: they got the beginnings, so they look familiar.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: Halfway through, I'm like, oh.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: Ye see, I knew that. I would have remembered that
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: once I sat down that I remember that. It was
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: an origin story of those two. I remember that because
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: that's in the trailer, and I was like, okay, yeah
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: it was.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: And it was a good It was a good background,
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: good background to the characters, good background to the world
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: the Cybertron, good background to as you as you know,
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: this is thousands of years in the making, right, the
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: series is over centuries, right when you really talk about
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: the entire ip technically centuries of these characters. Oh yeah,
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: to be able to just jump into a different century
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: for this and and then tell a new story that
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: is and you know, like I said that that that
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: takes I'm sure it takes liberally from from things like
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: the comics and the other places.
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, they've done they've done this story before.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: Okay, I didn't know that they did this story before.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm pretty sure they have done that. I'm not
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: sure where, But like this, not like this and never
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: as far as I know, there isn't. I want to
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: say it's on Netflix. There was like a three a
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: trilogy of these Transformers movies on something recently that I've
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: watched the first one and it starts early, but it's
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: already the war is already going on, so it's not
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: I don't and animated. I don't think they've.
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: Ever shown this. As far as Thama books, I'm sure
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: they've done it. Could they have been too many of.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: Course, but also like who knows that ship, right, Like, No,
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: that's what I mean.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: You can't put nobody off the stream.
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: You know the story of Bryan Packs. Yeah, that's niggas.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: These are like the names they Mama gave them.
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: The nigga was D sixteen.
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: I've never heard that one from Megatron. That one, I've
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: never heard.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: One two seven, and I'm sure that was carried over
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: into the bub.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: I know that I've never heard either of those. I
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: know Ryan Packs because he like goes through the whole.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: You know, he has to become a Prime and all
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: that type of ship, so I know that. Yeah, well,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: all that to say is a matrix of leadership in this.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: All I have to say. This was an incredible film.
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: That's dammit, this has been over prime.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: I had a really good time with this and I'm
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: really happy I got to experience this. So thank you
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: to our friends over over there. I don't know who
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: you are for for the invite, but I'm highly recommending this.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: I can't wait till Ben sees it so he can
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: tell me about all the shit I missed, because I
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: know I only scratched the surface of what I saw.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: And it's also them type of films where there's mass
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: shit on the screen sometimes and there's mad bots and
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: it's just like there's niggas.
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: I was like this.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: I was like this trying to look at everything, and
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: I was like, only Ben knows who that is.
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: Ben.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I know that they look like their g One counterparts,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: especially when they get into the final forms or whatever.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: So I know a lot of that stuff. I do know,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: But like when you get into like the like you say,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: the best furs and stuff.
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: Like that, and even the later GE's after that.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: I only found out recently, in like the last ten
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: years that they were calling it g One.
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: I was like, what the fuck are g One?
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, that's watch That's not like Pokemon original
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: g One.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: So yeah, I was like, okay, cool, I know.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: I'm just again, I highly recommend this. This is this
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: is this is good. What am I getting this? This
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: is getting a tomato because you know we're rotten tomato
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: proof critics get into it, nice letter grade. I give
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: this an A okay, and I'm just excited for Ben
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: to see. Oh and there's two two scenes too. There's
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: a mid credit and after credits scene. All right, so
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: stick stay behind, and stick around for the entire thing.
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: For to get the.
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: Whole, might have to go keep this this weekend.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: Man, see, I just and whether like again, I don't
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: know if you're going to rate it as high orf
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: you're going to think so I've heard. I just heard
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: you're going to flip out from just characters alone.
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: I've heard it. It's great. And like I said, those
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: are some of my favorite characters. I grew up with them,
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: and if it gets the essence of them, then I'm
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: down for it.
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: The essence, the essence of who Optimists and Megatron are
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: and and even the players that support them is all there.
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: And then Brian, you know, Brian Tyree come on.
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: Pick Key particularly too, because that's my Keeam Hill.
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: Oh yeah, he's also great.
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: And Chris Hensworth the best, Chris next to Evans.
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: Him Worth is my favorite. Chris damn Are you're right?
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: Evans is my Evans.
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: Evans in real life is probably my favorite. Chris him
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: Wirth on screen but it's tight, But I like Evans
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: on screen too.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: Chris Evans on screen for was kind of funny.
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: Yeah, But Chris Hemsworth, like I keep telling you about.
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: That that man could act that.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: No, I keep telling about that fucking movie The Bad
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: Times with the l I've only seen that ship once
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: and I'm not going back again. That nigga is horrific.
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not going back.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: And even though it's it's him, like I got it,
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: I had a sense it was Chris, but it didn't
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: sound like we can straight up like you know, you
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: know his voice, you know it's him, but it wasn't
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: like he did do something with is some inflectionariy.
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: They added some filters. I don't know, Brian Tyree Henry.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: I couldn't pinpoint that it was him, but I know
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: it's black because.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: It was just pointed out or I was just reminded
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: that he's miles dad in Spider verse.
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: Oh why? And I'm like, you know what, I I
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: don't hear that voice. I don't hear that. Though I
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: hear Miles's dad, you know what I mean, I don't
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: hear him.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: Brian multifaceted. He you don't hear him, you hear the character.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: It's also very impressive because he's such a great actor
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: and like making that transition to acting the voice acting
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: is mad difficult, you know, for a lot of actors.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: So that's like really impressive that he's able to pull off,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: you know, both of these roles like that they pulled
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: it off.
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: But that's my review of Transformers one. When does it
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: actually drop?
- 1:14:45Speaker 4: I thought it was this weekend?
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: Right, I thought so too, but this thing is saying later.
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: Transformers one, the least day is September fourteenth.
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: Okay, the speaking I'm going all right, I'm gonna get
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: some tickets.
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: We'll see it this weekend, right, and see it on
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: sending it on the big screen if you can, it's
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: worth it. And even if you can't, just please watch
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: it as you whatever way you can, as soon as possible.
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: All Right, Well, thank you for that review, ty Donna.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Real quick, before we get out of here, I want
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: to give a quick shout out to Fight Night Million
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Dollar Heist.
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: It's a new series. It's a limited series, Peacock.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: It stars Kevin Hart, Samuel Jackson, Terrence Howard.
- 1:15:26Speaker 4: Down the line, I think one of the Yeah, I
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: knew that was her, Okayseri Harvey because she doesn't show
- 1:15:32Speaker 4: up right, Lolaana, that's all that's Lorie Okay.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: I mean, Lola is a betty, but she's looking good.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: She's only been in like one scene that I've seen
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: so far. There's three episodes out right now. I think
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: I'm I think, I know. I didn't finish the second one.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: I got through the majority of the seconde. I gotta
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: go back. Yeah, it's I mean, it's a plethora of
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: motherfuckers in it. Some from BMF are in there. It's
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: all yeah, it is all kinds of negroes.
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: It's a war machine.
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: What yahn cheetles up there? Yeah, don Cheetle's up in there.
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Oh, my boy, boy zero that doesn't exist in the
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: number zero, that doesn't believe in the numbers zero.
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: Yeah. Taron Toward a here, Crime Boss. He's amazing so far.
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: Show to the premiere in full regalia.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: Oh as he should, as he should. Yeah, the wig
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: is fabulous.
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: He's fucking smash.
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: Is he doing this?
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: Of course? It's like, come on, this is the role
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: Taron Toward is meant to play, like you you know, Lion.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: I mean, it's like right up there, you know, it's
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: like because it's you know, it's the same type of thing,
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: you know, crime Boss. You know, it's just like Lucia. So,
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: you know, so far, I'm loving it.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: The first episode starts off and it like it, you know,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: sets up everything, and in the second episode, I like
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: because then it shows you how everything is set up.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: Excuse me from the other side, Like the second episode
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: shows you the criminals and how they came together and
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: to rob this joint, you know, And so that's where
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: I'm at. In the second episode, I want to say,
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: it's eight episodes.
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: Is it okay?
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I want to see episode out now. Yeah, there's three
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: episodes out now. I guess a new one every Thursday.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: So I'm guessing the next one comes out tomorrow. Not
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: one hundred percent sure, but it's said every Thursday, so
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: I would assume. And yeah, I'm waiting to you know,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: first all come out. I'll finish it.
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: Of course.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: I've been enjoying it so far and it's pretty solid,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: so I would definitely recommend it to anyone, you know,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: especially if you want to see some blackness. It takes
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: place in Atlanta, and it's supposed to be like one
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: of the you know, this happened, but did it really happened?
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: But they're also saying this is one of the reasons
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: why Atlanta is Atlanta today.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: Because Atlanta's not a real place. So anything that could
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: have actually maybe happened. Like it's plausible deniability at that point.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: And that's why, you know, shout at Easter Ray, I
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: was just rooting for everybody black. So once I saw
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: that cast, oh yeah, yeah, they saw about I.
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: Ain't give a damn. I saw the cast. I saw
- 1:18:03Speaker 4: Terrence Howard in that outfit, I was like, Terrence, we here,
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: we here, I'm here. I'm right because I don't know
- 1:18:09Speaker 4: how many more roles you've gone to play. So anytime
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: Terrence Howard shows up, I'm like, I got no. And
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: so it's like, yeah, so I'm like, I gotta see it.
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: He's too busy doing white papers about you know, man.
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, hey, you know, keep doing it, bro.
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: And also, since we're talking about Peacock, shout out to
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: the What was the season two or season three of
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: bel Air? Finished that a few weeks ago. But I
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: love this series. The series is fantastic. It gets better
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: every year, and it was this This season was was
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: fantastic as well.
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: Great Cliffhanger and I can't wait too.
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: Is that Jeoffrey? Did they bring Geoffrey up on that?
- 1:18:46Speaker 4: It's a different character, Jeffrey.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: Jeffrey, It was the question.
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, actually playing a different character or is he
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: playing Jeffrey they're playing a different character.
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: No, every of the all the OG characters are played
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: by new people.
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: But they did.
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I know that because I watched the first two
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: episodes and then I was like, I don't know if
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: that's for me. But I saw a commercial and I
- 1:19:08Speaker 4: was like, oh, shiit Jeffrey up in the bechegans.
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: So if you're talking about like the very beginning of this,
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: yeah series, Yeah, it's a little weird. At first, it
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: was it was I don't have to do exactly, yeah.
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: Cause they were doing everything in the first episode.
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I know it was annoying and I was like,
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm gonna rock with this. I
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: heard it got that past it get past just get
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: past the the the.
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: Ugly stage, if you will.
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: Right's let it bake, because once it bakes and it
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: comes into its own, like I'm not trying to copy
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: every goddamn thing the original series did, then it shines.
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: Yeah, and not even that. I just thought the first
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: episode was like you point all the movies and you
- 1:19:45Speaker 4: know we're gonna do all Yeah.
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: Let's be real.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: But but it gives itself fairly quickly, and I got
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: hooked when they.
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: Did this slow motion shot when he fell into the pool.
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: I was like, okay, I'm out.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Like you know, I've seen Snatch too, guys.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: Stuff like okay, I've seen the movies.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: You've seen all right, you know, I love I love
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: and over directed thing.
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: But then I'm also aware of when something is over.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: But it's only but it's literally only those few first
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: few years after that, after that they really get into it.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: And yes, this it was the third season that just concluded.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: And it's one of them things where you be yelling
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: at the screen. You know, that's like the typical for me,
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: a black series, a series where you yelling at the
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: characters and you know, and you haven't you caring about
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: the choices or dumbass choices they making.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: And since for on the subject of Peacock and you know,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: it got canceled after two seasons, and I don't think
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: you ever want to watch it. I will say it
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: again because I was telling chef at my job about
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: it this week.
- 1:20:45Speaker 4: Saved by the.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: Bell the reboot is one of the greatest shows ever made.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: Like it has no right to be as funny, as timely,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: as socially aware everything as it is it is. I'm
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: not even a big fan of the original to say
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: about a Bell. I used to actually actively hate it.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: And this shit is so brilliant, so amazing that if
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: you've seen the original, it just really fuck you up.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: Because I only know the original, you know, through osmosis
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: and stuff, and it's still it. Like I was about
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: to go rewatch it because I was telling chef at
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: the job about it, shout out with my brother, chef Jay,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: and I was like, yo, fam, I'm you know, just
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: talking to him about it. I was like, Damn, I
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: mna have to go rewatch the ship because it's that good.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: And if you've ever seen the TAK team, please I haven't,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: oh my god. And I lost the pilot and I'm.
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: Sure like the group, the team behind it makes it
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: what it is because I just learned realized a moment ago.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: But when it comes to bel Air, one of the
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: people who developed the current format, or not the format,
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: but the current look and feel of.
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: It is Malcolm Spellman.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Yep, I knew that. Ah get that money, bro Ah.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: That's why you know other people yea, everyone does. Other
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: people working Cooper TJ. Bradley and Rushie knew. But I
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: just on Malcolm, I just I'm seeing well.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: Like I said, while you're on Peacock, everyone, make sure
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: you peep that pep fight Night and then go peep
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: Saved by the Bell, because save.
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: The Bell it really is real quickness or just grab somebody.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: And I just realize that is that dude from Saved
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: by the Bell. He's on Fight Night to one of
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: the black kids, and I'm very happy to see him
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: getting more work. I want to be no, okay, that
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: all right? This is the thing about the the reboot
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: is Saved by the Bell, the absolute geniusness about it.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: If one it follows the it's the kids of like
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: Zach is now mayor or governor of California.
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: Zach's son is at high school. But what the super
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: genius part of it is before Zach's character gets voted out.
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: Because he gets voted out because.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: Of this decision, he doesn't move where he integrates the school.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: So what's the name of the school at? Uh know,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: it's Base Base Side High. So Baside High gets integrated
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: at the beginning of it. Where this the years taking
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: place right now? So no, not integration where it's like
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: they shut down the school in the hood and they
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: bust all those kids over the baseide integration based the integration,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: and it is that's how schools are now, like you know,
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: they have a good school and theol the hood, and
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: so they shut it down and it was his plan.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: So they vote him out for this ship like change
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: Mellow Margaret or the dude I wrote Mellow Brown. My
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: brother who I wrote hindreds with, he's gonna put me
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: onto it, right, And at one point he tells me
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: about the scene where the same black kid who is
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: in a fight night gets uh, some racist shit happens
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: to him. Right, So he's sitting in the principal's office
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: and he's sitting there waiting for the principal to come
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: in and his he and a homegirl, the other leader
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: of the show, comes rushing in, right, and she's like, Yo,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: what happened?
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: And my man's like, you know, just like me, And
- 1:24:11Speaker 4: there's subtitles racism Happy, and so she sees it. He's
- 1:24:20Speaker 4: like and it's like rais the bad and she's like,
- 1:24:23Speaker 4: word runs out. It's like, you know, it gets.
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: On this comedy.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: No, it is a brilliant comedy because it's saved by
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: the bell. But it's like they take everything that happened
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: on that show. Yeah, it's I mean, it is a
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: it's it's just absolutely brilliant. And then the casting, like
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: I was so mad that they got canceled because I
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: just wanted to make sure that all these kids kept working,
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: like the white Boy plays, Zach's son's comedic timing and
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: some of the greatest shit I've ever seen in my life.
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: Listen, I don't know what they're doing at Peacock.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: The casting of bel Air is like that where it's like, Okay,
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: y'all need to see.
- 1:25:02Speaker 4: Y'all keep working, because Yo, that's what I'm saying. You've
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: got to watch this out there and you will like
- 1:25:07Speaker 4: there is ship I'm crying at.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: And then it gets weirder than even that shit I
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: told you about. There is like some super weird shitting
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: season two that it's like, it's it's crazy, but ado
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: that show I was so mad at.
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: I guess Okay, before we go, I just want to
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: make sure we mention we want to do a rest
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: in power to.
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: Several people who've passed in the last week.
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: Huh okay, most recently this morning got the news about
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: the legendary Frankie Beverly seventy seven. He's if you most
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: Black American households, probably since the day you could understand
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: what music was, you probably heard Frankie Beverley's in some way,
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: shape or format, some type of black function, family function.
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: So he's always been a part of our lives, you know,
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: because of your age generally.
- 1:25:59Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, sure there's others out liars. What I'm just saying.
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: He's well known in the community.
- 1:26:03Speaker 4: If you know. I mean, it's like before I Let Go,
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: it's just you know.
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: That's like shout out to molect Tom and he wants
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: to Howard with me. So he said, before I Let Go?
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: Is the Electric Slide song more than the Electric Slides song?
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, like easily the impact this has, the culture
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: this has, right Yeah.
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: And of course this man, that's not the only hit
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: and pain.
- 1:26:26Speaker 4: I mean it goes on happiness.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: Happy he was and to this day, like he was
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: still touring and doing things, like he was still like
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: his ship that was forty years old. Now, his music
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: that you knows, riding strong to this day. So yeah,
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: and that's for many many artists has very much unheard
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: of us.
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: Another one that I don't even know if you heard
- 1:26:47Speaker 4: about this or even know that much about him, was
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: earlier this week, Rest in Peace to John Cassidy, which
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: really wrote my heart because he was fifty two years old.
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: And John Cassidy is an artists extraordinary, is a Comma
- 1:27:01Speaker 4: book artist. He is most known for Planetary, which I
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: talk about all the time. It is in my top
- 1:27:09Speaker 4: five probably of all time greatest Tramma books ever. And
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: John Cassidy is a big reason why Planetary is so
- 1:27:17Speaker 4: beautiful and just yeah, I mean it just hurts my
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: heart because it's like, there's this it's a strange world
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: out there, Let's keep it that way.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: It was the mantra of that book. And you know,
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: it's like somebody posted that in response to him passing.
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: You know, it's a strange world out here, let's keeep
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: it that way.
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: And it's just I think this is about to become
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: like a section of the Academy Awards where they do
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: the d Memoriam Peter Renney, the voice actor known as
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: the original Master Splinter.
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: He passed.
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: Oh man, I didn't know that one.
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: Obviously, one of the biggest news of the passing of
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: James Earl Jones. Yeah, you know, and Mark Hamill tweeted,
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: you know, rest in peace, Dad.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: I mean, and it's like like though Leo was listening
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: to old movies, you know, the joints I've never seen.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: Somebody posted this old X rated joint from the seventies
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: where he's wilding out in Jones. Yes, I mean it's
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: not it's not a porn, it's just X rated because
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: of other things.
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: I don't know. I've never seen this movie.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: But the scene the nigga was he slaps his white
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: dude and delivers this line like only James Earl Druones
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: cham it was.
- 1:28:19Speaker 4: It was incredible.
- 1:28:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: And then like I mean, my one of my personal favors.
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: I know a lot of people say Lion King of
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: course coming to America, Darth Vader Field of fucking Dreams man,
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: like he is so good in that.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: Like, I mean again, the culture carrier King in his space.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: I heard some not so good things about it. I
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: didn't know that either.
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: I didn't know.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: I was still still rest in peace to him.
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: Yeah, still, but I was like, damn right you and
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: you was like and they was like yo, he was like.
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: This till he was old and great like this nigga
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: didin't give it And I was like, oh well, dammit.
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: Brothers man, listen that hurt too.
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: Yeah, we were both on the Rap Ruler Show. We
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: were just talking about, like, you know, like it's a
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: lot of mumble rappers I don't give a shit about,
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: but Young Thug and Rich Kuan are two of my
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: favorite rappers of any generation ever.
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: Like you know the niggas, Yeah, like you know when
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: Yeah went.
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: And like also as a millennial, like he's that that's
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: a sound.
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean for you know, I'm I'm older than millennial,
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: but like as a clubgoer like that niggas a section
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: of like like there was a time like yeah, I mean,
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: rest in piece of Dallas Pin like Dallas as hip
- 1:30:02Speaker 4: hop as Dallas Penn was. One of my father's memories
- 1:30:05Speaker 4: is always Dallas about the last that was like when
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: I do Dallas tipped his ear to the street.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: But he's like, you're being that you gotta play that last.
- 1:30:25Speaker 4: Yoh man.
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean those those supposed to rest again,
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: just rest in peace.
- 1:30:32Speaker 3: Also rest in peace to be King.
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: Oh god, that I was fucking upset about that too.
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: Like another thing about music that's just part and he's
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: new word but he he's thirty nine years old.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: But still ye mass man, like restat it goes.
- 1:30:53Speaker 3: It's another thing. Like literally all of these were happening
- 1:30:56Speaker 3: this last.
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: Week and a half, back to back, and I have
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: to say, niggas don't pass every.
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: Day, but I get it.
- 1:31:03Speaker 4: But it's just like.
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: Particularly back to back to back. Yeah, it's it's hard.
- 1:31:08Speaker 4: So and then like you know what I mean today
- 1:31:10Speaker 4: is you know, September.
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: Eleventh and today September eleven, and that's a lot of things.
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: And you know, for a lot of people to you know,
