- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, the Mark Simone Show, 9 till noon weekdays, 710WOR.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hey, we'll take some calls.
- 0:04Speaker 1: 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 0:04Speaker 3: 800-321-0710.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Let's go to Don in New York City. Don, how
- 0:13Speaker 1: you doing? Yes, hello, Mark.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Recently, I was in a doctor's office in the waiting room,
- 0:31Speaker 4: and they had a special report on Jeffrey Epstein.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:34Speaker 4: And every photograph of Jeffrey, there was also Donald Trump
- 0:39Speaker 4: was in it.
- 0:40Speaker 1: What the hell are you talking about? You're in a
- 0:42Speaker 1: doctor's waiting room. Where was this report?
- 0:45Speaker 4: On either NBC or CBS.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Oh, oh, oh, yeah. Yeah, I see what you mean.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Some woman is now claiming... She was raped by Donald
- 0:57Speaker 1: Trump with Jeffrey Epstein, something. It sounds like a total
- 1:01Speaker 1: fake story. I wouldn't take it. That's why most people
- 1:03Speaker 1: are not reporting it, except the fake news. They're running
- 1:06Speaker 1: with it, but it seems to be a ridiculous story.
- 1:09Speaker 1: You can get the Epstein files. They're up online. You
- 1:11Speaker 1: can read through them. It's a couple million pages, but
- 1:15Speaker 1: you can read through them. If you read the Epstein files,
- 1:18Speaker 1: all you see is that Epstein hated Donald Trump. They
- 1:20Speaker 1: were bitter enemies of And a lot of stuff in
- 1:24Speaker 1: there about Epstein was plotting with this little wormy weasel,
- 1:28Speaker 1: Michael Wolff, on how they could destroy Donald Trump, how
- 1:30Speaker 1: they could bring him down. Oh, did he hate Donald Trump.
- 1:33Speaker 1: But go to the Epstein Files. There's a search thing
- 1:37Speaker 1: in there. Just type in any name you can search.
- 1:39Speaker 1: It's a pretty interesting reading. Let's go to Chris in Montreal, Canada. Chris? No,
- 1:45Speaker 1: good morning.
- 1:45Speaker 4: No, I'm not in Montreal today.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I'm in New York. Well, it says Montreal here.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I even told them Manhattan.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Huh?
- 1:50Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Chris in the Manhattan. Okay, hi. How are
- 1:53Speaker 1: you doing? He's the panicking. Everything is always disaster.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Well, no, not today. The guy is cast.
- 2:01Speaker 5: I heard an ad yesterday from Letitia James encouraging people
- 2:05Speaker 5: who shouldn't be voting that they don't have to worry
- 2:08Speaker 5: about anything, that they can go and vote anyway.
- 2:11Speaker 1: How is that even legal?
- 2:12Speaker 5: Like, who's legal that has to worry about showing up
- 2:15Speaker 5: at a polling place and having ICE get them?
- 2:17Speaker 1: Well, she's done things that are legally questionable anyway. Her
- 2:21Speaker 1: primary residence or other residence.
- 2:24Speaker 5: I know, but that's specifically. And also I saw an
- 2:26Speaker 5: ad for Kathy Hochul where there's this ER doctor looking very,
- 2:31Speaker 5: you know, he's looking in the camera and saying he's
- 2:36Speaker 5: so worried about the Medicaid cuts that Blakeman wants.
- 2:39Speaker 1: There's no Medicaid cuts. No Medicaid cuts from Blakeman.
- 2:42Speaker 5: They don't have regular patients.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Well, that's what you have to do if you're Hochul
- 2:46Speaker 1: and you're. You're tied in the polls all of a sudden.
- 2:49Speaker 1: You've got to start doing vicious attack ads. She spent
- 2:52Speaker 1: $ 6 million last week on these attack ads.
- 2:56Speaker 5: But that thing with Letitia James, that really should be
- 2:58Speaker 5: looked into. Who's legal that has to worry about showing
- 3:01Speaker 5: up to vote?
- 3:02Speaker 1: Well, it should be looked into, but she's the attorney general,
- 3:06Speaker 1: so good luck with that. But listen, when they get desperate,
- 3:09Speaker 1: they're like cornered rats. They get desperate. Let's go to
- 3:12Speaker 1: Paul in Long Island. Paul, how are you doing?
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yeah, hi, Mark.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Yes, Paul.
- 3:19Speaker 2: So, you know, the people that want the horses taken out,
- 3:26Speaker 2: they're snobs. They just don't like the smell, and that's
- 3:28Speaker 2: the bottom line.
- 3:29Speaker 1: That's what it's about. Well, luckily I have allergies. I
- 3:31Speaker 1: can't smell them. No, that could be the reason. But
- 3:34Speaker 1: the other, it is an elitist kind of thing. But
- 3:36Speaker 1: it's believed they want the land that the stables are on.
- 3:40Speaker 1: There's two huge stables for those horses, one near Hudson Yards.
- 3:44Speaker 1: One near the Javits Center. It could be very valuable
- 3:46Speaker 1: real estate. A lot of big real estate interests might
- 3:49Speaker 1: want those properties. And that city council, that governor, those Democrats,
- 3:55Speaker 1: they're very– well, they're like taxi cabs. You can hire them.
- 4:03Speaker 1: They should have easy passes on them. All you got
- 4:04Speaker 1: to do is put money in and you can go
- 4:06Speaker 1: wherever you want with them. Let's go to Greg in
- 4:09Speaker 1: Jersey City. Greg, how are you doing? Good.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Thank you, Mark. On your comments on Dan Rather, I
- 4:16Speaker 2: don't know if you remember when he got forced out
- 4:20Speaker 2: at CBS, the only person that extended him a lifeline
- 4:23Speaker 2: was Mark Cuban, who assigned him to do like this
- 4:27Speaker 2: show on that Axis cable.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but you got to remember, you got to remember
- 4:32Speaker 1: Mark Cuban was trying to start some media thing and
- 4:34Speaker 1: it was hopeless in those days. Online meant nothing. So
- 4:38Speaker 1: to grab a big name would have suddenly given his
- 4:41Speaker 1: little venture some status. It wasn't that he was a
- 4:44Speaker 1: Dan Rather fan.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it was just strange watching Rather interview people like
- 4:49Speaker 2: Robert Plant or Steve Perry. People like 20 years outside
- 4:54Speaker 2: of his age range. It was just strange.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Yeah, some of those are up on YouTube. They're actually
- 4:59Speaker 1: not bad, some of them, or interviews. People he doesn't
- 5:02Speaker 1: know how to interview. I think there's one with Don Rickles.
- 5:05Speaker 1: It's Dan Rather for like a half hour interviewing them.
- 5:08Speaker 1: You know, he wasn't bad at that. I mean, he
- 5:09Speaker 1: didn't know what he was talking about, but he was
- 5:11Speaker 1: pretty folksy. He's got a nice folksy way about him.
- 5:14Speaker 1: If he wasn't crooked with the fake news and he
- 5:17Speaker 1: wasn't so biased, and had he just been Dan Rather
- 5:21Speaker 1: the nice guy, he could have been as big as Cronkite.
- 5:24Speaker 1: You never know. Although he wasn't as likable as Cronkite.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Let's go to Ralph in Manhattan. Ralph, how you doing?
- 5:31Speaker 3: Hey, Mark, you know, Jesse Kelly may be on to something.
- 5:35Speaker 3: You know, the talk show hosts got a little bit lazy. And,
- 5:38Speaker 3: you know, without Trump, what the heck do you talk about?
- 5:41Speaker 3: You know, that's a if you just mention Trump's name,
- 5:45Speaker 3: you have a conversation. Now they're actually going to have
- 5:47Speaker 3: to improvise a little bit. Not you, of course, but
- 5:51Speaker 3: the others I'm talking about.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Yeah, the others don't have their own content, but I
- 5:55Speaker 1: can do fine without. I mean, we love talking about Trump,
- 5:57Speaker 1: but I don't know if you ever noticed this. But
- 6:01Speaker 1: once in a while, I'll do an hour with no
- 6:02Speaker 1: politics at all in it. And nobody's ever noticed. I
- 6:07Speaker 1: just do it every once in a while to test
- 6:08Speaker 1: it out. Nobody's ever noticed. Let's go to Neil in Brooklyn. Neil,
- 6:12Speaker 1: how you doing? Thank you, Mark.
- 6:16Speaker 6: Mark, in this multicultural city, I always try to get
- 6:20Speaker 6: along with people for, you know, most of my life.
- 6:23Speaker 6: And because it's a safe country, you don't get many
- 6:25Speaker 6: chances to be a hero. But when I voted Republican
- 6:29Speaker 6: the other day, I felt like it was my Oscar
- 6:31Speaker 6: Schindler moment. I'm trying to save humanity.
- 6:35Speaker 1: All right. Well, there you go. A little hyperbolic there.
- 6:38Speaker 1: A little over-the-top exaggeration.
- 6:41Speaker 6: No, I know.
- 6:41Speaker 1: A little dramatic. Not dramatic. Donald Trump couldn't exaggerate that much.
- 6:45Speaker 1: What the hell are you talking about saving humanity? You're
- 6:47Speaker 1: not Oscar Schindler, but it's good that you voted. Everybody
- 6:51Speaker 1: get out there. Do the early voting. You can vote
- 6:54Speaker 1: all week. You can vote on the weekend, but do
- 6:56Speaker 1: the early voting. There's no line. You go right in
- 6:59Speaker 1: there and vote. Don't wait till Election Day. Do the
- 7:03Speaker 1: early voting this week. Hey, when we come back, we'll
- 7:06Speaker 1: talk to Ann Coulter. She'll be with us next. Lots
- 7:08Speaker 1: to talk to her about just ahead on 710WOR.
