Pennsylvania flags fly at half-staff in honor of State Trooper Michael Pahira, who died in the line of duty on July 1st while inspecting a commercial vehicle on I-81. A tractor-trailer struck him, and the driver has been charged with homicide by vehicle. Pahira, a 44-year-old native of Schuylkill County and a 20-year veteran of the Pennsylvania State Police, was the 106th officer to lose his life in service.
