- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: Hey friend, welcome back to the Tuesday edition of Bible Track Echoes.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks so much for joining us today.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate you tuning in.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you had a chance.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the listen to yesterday's broadcast Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are gonna be a little bit of a set of broadcasts.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: We're focusing on who owns everything.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: Well, of course you can probably figure out that it's God.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's not Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk or you fill in the blank with a richest people you can think of They may own a lot of Capital a lot of real estate a lot of companies But at the end of the day the true owner of the universe is the one who owns it by right of
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: creation and a few other things we're going to talk about later in the week, but he has rights.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: He has the deed to the entire universe, undisputed.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: He is or should be undisputed, but sometimes there can be quarrels.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: There can be squabbles about who owns what.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: and I want to point out today that God doesn't just own the universe, doesn't just own the world, but he owns you.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: Today we're going to establish what and who God owns.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to ask you to approach the broadcast a day with a soft heart and open ears.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to hear next my voice from a message I preached just a little bit ago at my home church about this very fact of who God owns.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: If I was picking a title, it would be four words in the beginning God.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: He's got to be the foundation for everything.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: Listen now as I continue this message in the beginning God.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: What does God say about all that Hagiai 28?
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: The silver is mine, God says.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: And the gold is mine, say it the Lord of hosts.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: In the beginning, God.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I think of when I read that verse, the silver is mine, the gold is mine.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: Have you ever heard it toddler?
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: Walk into, you walk in the room, and you pick up something, and they snatch you out of your hand to say, mine!
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: Now, that's incredibly,
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: immature of a toddler, right?
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: Because that's what toddlers are.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_01]: They're an immature version of what should be a fully fleshed out and grown individual.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: So we, as adults and teenagers, shouldn't say mine, right?
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: But think a toddler, realistically, they have no ability to defend what is theirs.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's like there's a reason to cliche like taking candy from a baby because it's easy, okay?
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: So if you wanted to take that stuff animal away from a toddler, you could do so.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't buy that toy.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: They can't defend their right to that toy.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: But they say mine.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: There's a vast difference between a toddler and when God says mine.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: He can defend it.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: He created it.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: He paid for all of it.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: When he says mine, what he's referring back to is in the beginning, God created them in the earth.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: Johann's Kepler said that chief aim of all investigations, that chief aim, that chief purpose, of all investigations of the external world, meaning what we can see, should be to discover the rational order, which has been imposed on it by God.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: Wouldn't it be a wonderful thing of that's how all scientists approach science?
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: The goal being to discern the rational order that God put into it.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: Bible says, Psalm 24, you're still there.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: The earth is the Lord's and the fullness of the world.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: And then it says, and they that dwell therein.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: You know, God is not just content with mineral rights.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's not just looking for error rights.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's not just looking to take the fruit off the trees.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: No, he's interested in the dentists.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's interested in the citizens.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's interested in the people that live here, too.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: Psalm 100 verse 3, no ye that the Lord, he is God.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: It is He that had to made us.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: There we go again in the beginning God.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: And not we ourselves.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: So ultimately, if we are his sheep, if we are his workmanship like Ephesians 2-10 says, we are his creation, then everything that man thinks is his is actually God's as well.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: Do you realize that this church is God's?
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: Acts 2028, take heed there for unto yourselves.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: This is Paul speaking with the authority of Scripture to some pastors.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: He says this, take heed there for unto yourselves and to all the flock over the witch, the Holy Ghost has made you overseers.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's Paul speaking to these overseers.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: To feed the church of God, he tells him, you gotta feed the church of God, which he had purchased with his own blood.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: this is not I'm saying this after the offering just in case you had saying it thoughts okay but there's no amount of offering that you can put in that makes you the owner of this church how many churches have you heard of where a million air thinks he can just run the church how he wants to because oh by right of how much I give have you given more than God gave to the church I don't think so so whose church is it in the beginning God
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: The Bible talks about the care that pastors need to take for the church, but understand, care of the church is the responsibility of every member.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: If you have a body and one member of the body decides to stop working, let's say the liver, the kidneys, your eyeball, guess what?
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: You have a problem, don't you?
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: And yet we think what we have here is so different, even though God quite literally calls
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: Not each member doesn't have the same office, but we should all work together.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: We aren't supposed to be careful about gossiping, backbiting, et cetera, in the church.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: Out of respect for the institution, we should do so out of respect for the one that instituted the institution.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's not because, oh, you ever been in a library before?
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's a sad thing where we have more careful at what we say in a library than we are, what we say in God in God's house.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: or what we say about God's hands.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: So what we say about God's people.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you have, if you think that you are God's gift to police the entire church or you, I'm glad that I'm the white blood cell.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm supposed to call out, you know what we might have.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: We might have an autoimmune issue.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: where a member is working outside of their designated area, right?
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: But this applies across the board, whether in area, whether you have a member that is overactive or underactive, that can both cause harm for the body.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: You might look at a guy and say, oh, wow, he's seven and a half feet tall.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but he might have a pituitary issue.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: That results in problems, like buying shoes.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's a problem.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: But whose church is it?
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's God's in the beginning, God.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: What are we in all of these circumstances?
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: Both of the church, both of the world, were stewards.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: First Corinthians for two says, more over it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: And St. Corinthians 11 verse 2, for I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy, for I am not a spouse due to one husband, for I have a spouse due to one husband that I may present you a chased virgin to Christ.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: As a man that said this, the church does not belong to the preacher nor to the congregation, the church belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: Did you know he owns your family as well?
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: In the beginning, God, if the earth is the Lord, the fullness thereof, the world, and who's the day that dwell therein?
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: Who is that?
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's you and me, isn't it?
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: We have the old, you know, here's the church, here's the steeple, open it up, and here's all the people, you know?
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: Who's the day that dwell therein?
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's us.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: So does he own your family?
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: Ephesians five, turn there with me.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: If you want, I want you to see this with me.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: Ephesians chapter number five.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: I want you to
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: Now, fact check me here, all right?
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure when I'm reading this from the Bible, that way, if I say something, you can know to say, no, that doesn't check out, but I believe we're going to back everything up with the Bible today.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: Ephesians 5, Ephesians 5, we're going to go where I've heard it said jokingly, as I'm not too concerned.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go where Angel's in demons fear to tread on Sunday morning.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: You believe that?
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: Ephesians 5, verse 23, the Bible says this, for the husband.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: is the head of the wife.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: Even as Paul, and the book of the two to church of Ephesus, he's giving the example for the husband who's head of the wife.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: Even as Christ is the head of the church and he is the savior of the body, therefore as the church is subject under Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands and everything.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also love the church and gave himself for it.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: Now that's a high standard husband's.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: Do you love your wife like Christ loved the church?
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: Give himself for it, verse number 26, that he might sanctify and cleanse it with a washing of water by the Word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spotter inkler or any such thing, but that should be holding without blemish, so ought.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: In that same way, so ought men to love their wives as their own bodies.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: He that loveeth his wife loveeth himself for no man ever,
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: yet hated his own flesh, but nourish it, and cherish it, even as the Lord the church.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: We can talk about the husband and wife relationship.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: I've only said it a few dozen times in the past couple of months, but this book right here can solve every human problem.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: Whether it's family, whether it's a parent, whether it's church, but we have to actually apply what it says,
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody has a problem, nobody has any problem whatsoever.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: You would think someone's a heretic.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: If they ever made the statement, the church shouldn't follow God.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: No, we would all agree.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: The church should follow God.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: We have no problem with that.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: And in the same way, what does the Bible say?
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: All of a sudden, when you apply the Bible, where it gives a locked in clear picture of what a human marriage is supposed to represent, all of a sudden, we don't like the recipe.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: And you say, hold up for the Micah, you are a long way from Genesis 1-1 in the beginning God.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: If he's not the foundation, what we have here is, if anything I've said in the last three and a half minutes or the last 20 minutes, rubbed the wrong way, then what we might have is an ownership dispute.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: Here's a deal.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: He owns a hundred percent of the stock.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: He has all the voting rights.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's our job to do what he tells us to do, and how does he tell us to do it?
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't do it in a quarterly memo.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: He does it through the book.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: Friend, I wonder in your life and in mine, does God truly own us?
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: Is he really the Lord of our life?
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: In just a few days, tomorrow's broadcast, and then Thursday's broadcast, we're going to talk about what to do with this fact.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: If God owns us, it would change how we act.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: And there may be some things in your life that need to be tweaked just a little bit.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: maybe just maybe how you represent Christ, how you reflect Christ would be a little different if you really understood that he was the owner of everything.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: I want to thank you so much for tuning in today.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to continue this thought of in the beginning.
