- 1:07the northwest corner, has the lowest density in the state with about
- 1:0930 residents per square mile. If everyone in Cornwall spread out evenly,
- 1:13each person would have more than 18 football fields of space. In
- 1:17contrast, Bridgeport is the most densely populated, where each resident would averages
- 1:20a six-yard strip of turf. Statewide, Connecticut averages about 750 people per
- 1:26square mile, making it the fourth densest state in the country. The
- 1:30crosssound cable, which carries electricity between New Haven and Long Island, will
- 1:34be offline from October 19 through October 31. ISO New England, the
- 1:39regional grid operator, says no electricity will be transferred during this period.
- 1:43Officials report that no reliability issues or bill increases are expected due
- 1:47to the shutdown. The outage is scheduled as part of planned maintenance
- 1:51and lines up with work to relocate and re-bury parts of the
- 1:53cable in New Haven Harbor for a federal dredging project. The Cross
- 1:57Sound Cable is a 24 mile high voltage line that is mostly
- 2:00used to send power to Long Island. Other transmission links between Connecticut
- 2:04and Long Island will remain in service during the outage. Mike Miller
- 2:08of Middlefield has spent two o decades performing as a Paul McCartney
- 2:11impersonator, but his career was nearly cut short by serious heart problems.
- 2:15After several heart attacks and a double bypass, Miller received a heart
- 2:18transplant in March 2024. He spent months in the hospital and in
- 2:22rehabilitation, but as of October 9, he completed his 40th physical therapy
- 2:27session and has returned to the stage. Miller says he is now
- 2:30able to do all the things he could before the transplant, including
