- 1:19Speaker 3: Been freeloading off of us for way too long time
- 1:23Speaker 3: to pay the pauper bro Yeah exactly.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Anyway, getting into today's show, you know, Tony, we got
- 1:29Speaker 1: this guest coming back today. We kicked him off the
- 1:32Speaker 1: show several times. Clearly he hasn't gotten the message yet.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Some people have learned coach of the Browns and Jets.
- 1:39Speaker 1: And you know, one of these are so called you know,
- 1:41Speaker 1: quote unquote experts you see on these sports shows these days.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Eric Mangini. And you know we're gonna ask.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Him the question that I'm sure he's terrified of being asked.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, watch him run and hide when we hit
- 1:54Speaker 3: him with some real questions.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Well, on the subject of running, it's time for an
- 2:00Speaker 1: ad from our newest sponsor and our good friends at Propel.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Do you drink water? Why it has no taste?
- 2:10Speaker 2: It's disgusting.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Yeah, Propel is a great drink and a great way
- 2:15Speaker 3: to stay fit.
- 2:16Speaker 2: You know.
- 2:17Speaker 3: The other day I ran into my aunt Marie's boyfriend Nunzio.
- 2:21Speaker 3: He was buying these huge cases of Propel at the
- 2:23Speaker 3: market and I said, Nunzio, what are you doing with
- 2:27Speaker 3: all that Propel? And he said, me and your aunt
- 2:30Speaker 3: are about to do a very serious workout. And I
- 2:34Speaker 3: said workout. It's eleven thirty at night. Who's work? You
- 2:39Speaker 3: know what, Let's just move along. Let's just move along anyway.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Special deal for our listeners. Go to your local grocery store.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Tell them Paully and TONI sent you.
- 2:48Speaker 1: When you get six percent off your seventh purchase of
- 2:50Speaker 1: thirty cases Propel. Yeah, there you go, another checking them.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Then we got that business out of the way. It's
- 2:56Speaker 1: time to get into our top story s.
- 3:01Speaker 2: All right, first out to the gate.
- 3:02Speaker 1: You know, you probably think we're gonna say the top
- 3:05Speaker 1: story is Baker Mayfield getting named Bucks starting quarterback. No,
- 3:10Speaker 1: everybody fucking saw that coming.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Come up, Yeah, exactly.
- 3:13Speaker 3: And if you didn't see that coming, then you're as
- 3:15Speaker 3: blind as a cat.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah you are.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Anyway, the big story is that Baker Mayfield is now
- 3:21Speaker 1: coming after his family's financial firm for twelve million dollars
- 3:25Speaker 1: that he says has gone missing. And you know, Donny,
- 3:29Speaker 1: if I'm the Bucks here, I like this nose.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Absolutely.
- 3:33Speaker 1: If your quarterback, like Tom Brady, he has five hundred
- 3:36Speaker 1: MILLI in the bank, then what the hell does he
- 3:38Speaker 1: have to play for yeah nothing, nothing, Yeah, Personally, I
- 3:42Speaker 1: want my quarterback to be in tremendous financial peril, don't you.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 3:47Speaker 3: I mean every team wants a quarterback who knows how
- 3:50Speaker 3: to overcome a huge deficit. Right, Well, what bigger deficit
- 3:54Speaker 3: is there to overcome than having to make up for
- 3:57Speaker 3: twelve million dollars that you're greedy?
- 3:59Speaker 2: No good fan just farted away?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Great point, Tony. And you know this doesn't just apply
- 4:04Speaker 1: to quarterbacks. Look at the great boxes throughout history. You
- 4:08Speaker 1: know they were all terrible at managing a little money. Yeah,
- 4:11Speaker 1: Yu Dyson, Evander Holyfield. You know it makes sense because
- 4:15Speaker 1: you know you want to see fight. Nothing is more
- 4:17Speaker 1: motivating than knowing the irs is moments from seizing your home.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you know.
- 4:23Speaker 3: And what's the quality you want in both a boxer
- 4:26Speaker 3: and a quarterback elusiveness? Elusiveness Exactly. You need to be
- 4:32Speaker 3: able to dodge anything that comes your way. And when
- 4:35Speaker 3: you have spent all day and night dodging bill collectors,
- 4:38Speaker 3: and you know, of the quote unquote organizations that you
- 4:43Speaker 3: might have owed some large sums of money to, it
- 4:46Speaker 3: has to be very elusive. They can come at you
- 4:49Speaker 3: from any direction. The back window, your chimney coming out
- 4:54Speaker 3: of a deli.
- 4:55Speaker 2: You don't know, great points.
- 4:57Speaker 1: All around that, and you know, just another angle to
- 4:59Speaker 1: throw out here. You know, the fact that Baker Mayfield
- 5:03Speaker 1: lost twelve million dollars just shows how focused he is
- 5:07Speaker 1: on football. You know, one hundred in my mind, the
- 5:10Speaker 1: more money and athlete losers due to mismanagement, well the better.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Yeah, way better. You know, cut up that shot. Look
- 5:16Speaker 2: at this chart.
- 5:17Speaker 1: You can see there's a direct correlationism there between money
- 5:21Speaker 1: loss and on field success.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Yep, this is why Kyle Trusk had no chance of
- 5:28Speaker 3: winning the Bucks job. My sources at Bank of America
- 5:31Speaker 3: tell me that the Trask family trust is very solvent
- 5:35Speaker 3: and that it's very troubling how well Kyle Trusk manages
- 5:38Speaker 3: his money. Maybe he should be focusing less on his
- 5:42Speaker 3: bank book and more on his playbook.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Well, said Tony. I mean the stats say it all, don't.
- 5:49Speaker 3: They absolutely absolutely, as they say, numbers don't lie. Well,
- 5:55Speaker 3: your family may lie about the numbers in your bank account,
- 5:58Speaker 3: but you know on field number those don't lie.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Well, anyway, now to another quarterback. We're keeping our eye on.
- 6:06Speaker 1: As you know, we've never said a bad word on
- 6:09Speaker 1: the show about Aaron Rodgers always support ever and we
- 6:12Speaker 1: have to say, after seeing his performance on these last
- 6:16Speaker 1: few episodes of Hard Knocks, we are just blown away
- 6:20Speaker 1: by the level of football skill we are seeing out
- 6:24Speaker 1: of this legend.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Isn't that right? Don't it? It's incredible.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Whenever they show a throw by Aaron Rodgers on Hard Knocks,
- 6:31Speaker 3: he always completes it. In fact, I've done a statistical
- 6:35Speaker 3: analysis of his performance so far on the show and
- 6:39Speaker 3: he is a whopping seventy eight for seventy eight with
- 6:42Speaker 3: zero incompletions and zero interceptions. I'm blown away watching this.
- 6:48Speaker 3: This is the greatest performance by a quarterback in NFL history. Now,
- 6:54Speaker 3: some idiots out there have told me, oh, it was edited,
- 6:59Speaker 3: edited exactly. How what are they using special effects to
- 7:04Speaker 3: make those passes look complete? It's called reality TV for
- 7:08Speaker 3: a reason. It's not called fake TV because it's reality.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Hello.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Seems totally obvious that donty exactly On that note, You know,
- 7:18Speaker 1: the other night I was watching this a fantastic new
- 7:20Speaker 1: documentary called Swampkings about the Floor to Go.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I heard about that.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I don't know why this urban maya gets such a
- 7:28Speaker 1: bum wrap.
- 7:29Speaker 2: You know people say things, have ever understood it? Yeah,
- 7:31Speaker 2: he's a jerk, he's egoistical.
- 7:34Speaker 1: You know, he let a serial murderer slip from his
- 7:36Speaker 1: grasp even though it was staring him in the face.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Do you know what these people are talking about?
- 7:41Speaker 1: This documentary showed us all what a terrific upstanding guy
- 7:45Speaker 1: this is.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah, this is why you should never believe everything in
- 7:49Speaker 3: the media.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Yep. And that's just a perfect seguae.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Don'ty because it leads us the one of the most
- 7:56Speaker 1: underreported stories in the whole entire media. You won't see
- 8:00Speaker 1: this anywhere else, folks, No, because frankly, the people in
- 8:04Speaker 1: our business don't have the stones to report the truth.
- 8:07Speaker 2: They don't know what we do. That's why people come
- 8:09Speaker 2: here to get the news exactly.
- 8:11Speaker 1: We're talking about the quarterback controversy brewing in Kansas City.
- 8:15Speaker 1: After two games in the preseason, Chiefs quarterback Shane Bukeley
- 8:21Speaker 1: is putting up historic numbers, just crazy, Tony. When you
- 8:25Speaker 1: compare his numbers to Mahomes, it seems like Andy Reid
- 8:29Speaker 1: has a very difficult decision, even though you know the
- 8:33Speaker 1: choice is pretty clear.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Absolutely, Let's take a side by side look at their
- 8:38Speaker 3: career numbers.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Put up that graphic.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Bukeley has a seventy five percent career completion percentage, but
- 8:45Speaker 3: Patrick Mahomes has a lowly sixty six point three percent.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Bukeley's one hundred and twelve point two career passer rating
- 8:53Speaker 3: also crushes Mahomes, who has a passer rating of a
- 8:57Speaker 3: relatively mediocre one oh five point seven.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Also, let's not forget age here.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Bukeley is a ripe twenty five years old, while Maholmes
- 9:08Speaker 3: is entering the twilight of his career at age twenty seven.
- 9:12Speaker 3: So needless to say, I'll be keeping my eye on
- 9:15Speaker 3: this quarterback battle to see how it unfolds.
- 9:18Speaker 1: There you go, Tony, And that is the kind of
- 9:20Speaker 1: football analysis you won't be getting anywhere else.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Nope, thank you.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, the football analysis you will be getting all
- 9:28Speaker 1: over the place. Let's bring in this guy. He thinks
- 9:31Speaker 1: he's an expert on football for some reason. Let's go
- 9:34Speaker 1: to the FUSCO.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Satellite network, Satellite the world.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Okay, this guy won a Super Bowl with the Patriots
- 9:43Speaker 1: as an assistant to Bill bellet Jack. All right, then
- 9:45Speaker 1: he began every of them, Hey, hold on, I'm not
- 9:48Speaker 1: I'm doing your intro. This is where you need to
- 9:50Speaker 1: shut up and sit.
- 9:51Speaker 2: There, hold your horses. All right.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Then he became a head coach for the Jets and Browns.
- 9:55Speaker 1: One of those jobs went okay, the other not so much.
- 9:58Speaker 1: All right, you here, you can figure out which was which.
- 10:00Speaker 1: All right, now, you see him on all these shows
- 10:02Speaker 1: FS one. He's a member of the thirty third team
- 10:05Speaker 1: and also has the very distinct honor of being thrown
- 10:08Speaker 1: off the show multiple times. But you're right, Eric Mangini,
- 10:12Speaker 1: welcome to the show.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Come back. You can shy, you can go ahead and think.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Now you can start.
- 10:17Speaker 4: I would like to say it's good to see you guys,
- 10:19Speaker 4: but you know I'm always cautiously optimistic as how this
- 10:23Speaker 4: is going to go and whether or not I'm going
- 10:25Speaker 4: to make it through the show.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Well, you trust me. We're not so in your favor.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Let's just say that. Trust us.
- 10:32Speaker 1: We're more worried than you are. All right, Look, I
- 10:34Speaker 1: know how it's going for you right now. You know
- 10:36Speaker 1: you're head coach of the Jets. When Brett fav came
- 10:40Speaker 1: to down from the Packers, you know, now we got
- 10:42Speaker 1: history repeating itself with Aaron Rodgers there how worried. Are
- 10:46Speaker 1: you right now that the Jets will win the super
- 10:48Speaker 1: Bowl and make you look terrible?
- 10:52Speaker 4: I think they should be in the mix of the
- 10:54Speaker 4: super Bowl when you get Aaron Rodgers and you've got
- 10:57Speaker 4: all the advantages that they have. They have the whole
- 11:00Speaker 4: off season of his offensive coordinator. He's I got a
- 11:04Speaker 4: system that he knows, I got the number four defense.
- 11:08Speaker 4: I mean, things look really good for them.
- 11:10Speaker 1: That's very positive of you. You know, you're doing a
- 11:13Speaker 1: great job hiding your jealousy.
- 11:15Speaker 2: They we know. Yeah, that's very impressive. You know watching Yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 2: we have you been watching had Knocks?
- 11:20Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 11:20Speaker 2: You saw the hard knocks with Aaron Rodgers so far?
- 11:23Speaker 1: Rodgers? Yeah, you watch him passing. He hasn't thrown a
- 11:26Speaker 1: single incomplete pass on the whole entire show. Have you
- 11:29Speaker 1: ever seen a performance like this out of a quarterback
- 11:33Speaker 1: and training camp? Or he hasn't thrown a single incompletion.
- 11:36Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it's unbelievable. I don't know how how they've been
- 11:40Speaker 4: able to do that. I'm very impressed with what he's doing.
- 11:44Speaker 4: I love what he's doing.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Wow, you know you have so much positivity hit, don'ty?
- 11:50Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, what's going on you on drugs?
- 11:52Speaker 1: As?
- 11:53Speaker 3: I think he's scared. He's walking on pins and eggshells here.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:57Speaker 4: I always wonder why they don't have the Eagles on
- 11:59Speaker 4: Hard Knocks? What do you think that's about?
- 12:01Speaker 3: Why would we go on hard Knots and show our
- 12:03Speaker 3: hand in poker? Do you show your hand in poker?
- 12:05Speaker 4: And never too many incompletions? Wouldn't be good TV?
- 12:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he wouldn't be good TV as anytime you're on.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Yeah, we're learning that now.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you know about making good TV? Look
- 12:17Speaker 1: at the two answers you've given on the show so far.
- 12:20Speaker 1: You're born our audience at that. Yeah, we're looking for something. Yeah,
- 12:24Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers, I can I.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Can only I can only work with the with the
- 12:28Speaker 4: questions you give me, I get burned.
- 12:31Speaker 2: You're putting it back on us like you could.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Yeah, you could only work with Brett Favre in New
- 12:36Speaker 1: York and look how that went off the rails for you. Yeah,
- 12:39Speaker 1: you know he wants a better question, Tony, this diva,
- 12:41Speaker 1: he's asking for bed. We got one for you, fine, Yeah,
- 12:44Speaker 1: we got one for you. Let's see you try and
- 12:46Speaker 1: knock this one. Yeah, coach all right. On the subject
- 12:50Speaker 1: of another quarterback.
- 12:51Speaker 2: You see this. You got a Baker Mayfield.
- 12:53Speaker 1: He's accusing his family's financial firm of misplacing twelve million dollars.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Now we say this is great news, fantastic news.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Yeah, when you have a QB like Tom Brady, who's
- 13:05Speaker 1: worth you know, five hundred mil, he's got nothing to play,
- 13:08Speaker 1: no incentive to win, now, Baker, he's got to play
- 13:11Speaker 1: just to put food on the table. As a coach,
- 13:14Speaker 1: is this what you like to see out of a quarterback? Yeah,
- 13:17Speaker 1: you know, he's literally hungry to succeed.
- 13:20Speaker 4: I don't think you ever want to see anybody lose money,
- 13:23Speaker 4: especially if they're losing to their family.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Uh.
- 13:26Speaker 4: I think I think you said if you guys could
- 13:29Speaker 4: lose some money and and maybe up your game, I
- 13:32Speaker 4: think that would be a positive thing.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
- 13:35Speaker 4: Base based off the set, based off the preparation. I
- 13:38Speaker 4: don't think there's a lot of money rolling in.
- 13:40Speaker 2: We just opened our March store.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Oh wow, I bet I bet you. I bet you.
- 13:46Speaker 4: The products are flying off the shelf.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, exactly. If I don't see your March Star.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Doing exactly, We're gonna buy a yacht already. We just
- 13:57Speaker 3: launched the store today. Don't worry.
- 13:59Speaker 2: You're doing a bully.
- 14:00Speaker 1: I heard you had to borrow that hoodie from Bill Belichick.
- 14:03Speaker 2: That's that's how you're doing. Yeah.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Needless to say, then, when you were deciding, you know,
- 14:08Speaker 3: between Chad Pennington and whoever, when you were deciding between
- 14:12Speaker 3: your starting quarterback, did their bank statements not factor into
- 14:15Speaker 3: that decision?
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 14:17Speaker 4: Yeah, we usually didn't check on how much they were raking.
- 14:21Speaker 2: That explains ever, That explains everything.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, I mean, if if you're using that logic,
- 14:26Speaker 4: then Jalen Hurts is going to be terrible the season,
- 14:28Speaker 4: right because he just got paid a lot of mone
- 14:30Speaker 4: So you guys must be really excited by how much
- 14:33Speaker 4: money he made.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Because Jalen Hurts doesn't care about the money. He only
- 14:37Speaker 1: cares about winning. Winning, cares about I heard he doesn't
- 14:41Speaker 1: even check his bank statements. I already gets all his
- 14:44Speaker 1: clothes at Goodwill, so trurific.
- 14:47Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I'm telling you this is this is This
- 14:52Speaker 4: is good, solid, deductive reasoning by you guys.
- 14:55Speaker 2: No reason. Don't worry, We're gonna from the show. It
- 14:59Speaker 2: can be you in a minute here.
- 15:02Speaker 4: I mean, you guys are used to paying quarterbacks and
- 15:04Speaker 4: getting rid of them, so I guess.
- 15:05Speaker 2: You, oh you kidding me? This guy.
- 15:08Speaker 1: The NFL teams couldn't get rid of you fast enough.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 15:12Speaker 3: But Jalen Hurts is a super Bowl quarterback, which is
- 15:16Speaker 3: actually a good segue there, Paula talking about Super Bowl.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Which you seem to forget it.
- 15:20Speaker 4: He went through the Super Bowl board.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Let's talk about because you can't evaluate quarterbacks. What are
- 15:28Speaker 1: you talking about him trying to hear the Super Bowl
- 15:30Speaker 1: winning quarterback.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Well, they scored more points on offense than the Chiefs
- 15:34Speaker 3: day more, had more points.
- 15:36Speaker 1: More points. So if you look at the head to head,
- 15:41Speaker 1: maybe they should.
- 15:41Speaker 4: Have spent some money on cleats. Maybe they should have.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Maybe the FIC should have been in with that wet
- 15:47Speaker 3: grass with the Bermuda triangle grass, spent money on a
- 15:50Speaker 3: better gardener.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Didn't seem, didn't seem to affect the other team, but.
- 15:55Speaker 2: They they were in on it.
- 15:57Speaker 4: Uh yeah, magical cleats.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Yeah, well, it sounds like someone was listening to our
- 16:02Speaker 1: previous episode with our other guest, who was frankly just
- 16:07Speaker 1: as shitty as you are.
- 16:08Speaker 2: But that's another story.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Anyway, you're bellyaching about cleats on the previous show. Shocking.
- 16:13Speaker 1: All right, now he's acting like he didn't watch a
- 16:15Speaker 1: previous show. Come on, all right, hold on, you're trying
- 16:18Speaker 1: to steer this conversation all over the place. This is
- 16:21Speaker 1: why you're coaching didn't go so well. You know you're
- 16:23Speaker 1: going to in too many places here.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Yeah, have a plan and follow it like we do. Yeah.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Watch all right, look.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Listen talking about quarterback decisions here. You know, I'm sure
- 16:34Speaker 1: you've been keeping an eye on the quarterback controversy brewing
- 16:37Speaker 1: in Kansas City. We got backup quarterback Shane Bukeley. He's
- 16:41Speaker 1: putting up whopping numbers in the season. I mean, look
- 16:44Speaker 1: at this graphic. All right, So when you look at
- 16:46Speaker 1: Bukeley's career numbers side by side with mahomes.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Career numbers, I mean, look at this.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Bukeley's got a seventy five percent completion percentage. Mahomes has
- 16:57Speaker 1: got a lowly sixty six percent.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I mean, look at his age.
- 17:00Speaker 3: He's Bukeley's twenty five years old. Mahomes is entering the
- 17:04Speaker 3: twilight of his career at twenty seven.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Yeah, so you know, clear, you know Bukeley has an
- 17:10Speaker 1: argument if not a slamgunk argument for this job.
- 17:12Speaker 2: So you know you're a coach. I guess, how.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Do you see Andy Reid handling this uh clearly complicated situation.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's uh yeah, that's a strong argument. Uh yeah,

- 18:02Speaker 4: be able to make it to the NFC Championship. They've
- 18:05Speaker 4: lost both their coordinators. Dalen Hurts had a big contract
- 18:08Speaker 4: extension oftentimes. You know what that comes.
