- 2:03Dayna Roselli: Welcome everyone to episode 139 of Vegas Revealed.
- 2:07Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli and Sean McAllister here in October, sitting in the best weather ever.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: Everyone always says this is the best month for weather in Las Vegas because it's warm but not too warm.
- 2:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, it I mean, and this is prime wedding season, too, because people can finally have their outdoor weddings without all of their guests just like sweating and melting out in the sun.
- 2:34Sean McAllister: It's still nice and warm and toasty.
- 2:36Sean McAllister: It is, but not like summer warmth.
- 2:40Dayna Roselli: No, I think I saw um one of our weather people, was it Ted Pretty over at Fox Five, posted a tweet yesterday and actually said yesterday's temperature high was 90, but this time last year on that day it was only 65.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 2:55Dayna Roselli: So I think we're a little low average that we should be.
- 2:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's been a warm week, but still feels it's so weird.
- 3:02Dayna Roselli: It's cooler because it's 90.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: It's 30 degrees cooler than summertime.
- 3:06Dayna Roselli: And the nights are beautiful, yeah.
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: At like what, seven?
- 3:09Sean McAllister: And the nights are great.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: And now, but I get apparently it's a little warmer than it was this time last year.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: Let's put it that way.
- 3:15Sean McAllister: Okay, but it is still great pool weather here in Las Vegas, and uh a lot of people, a lot of casinos are starting to have their outdoor events and pool parties.
- 3:29Sean McAllister: I mean, not pool parties, but events at their pool.
- 3:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, exactly.
- 3:32Dayna Roselli: We went to one recently at the Venetian, and gosh, that couldn't have been more perfect.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: It was last Saturday we went to the taste makers event.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: It was all the restaurants at the Venetian had like areas set up.
- 3:46Dayna Roselli: And I would I wouldn't even say I was gonna say booths.
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: No, these were not booths.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: I mean, because there were flowers trees and kitchens, and yeah, they had their own kind of setup, right?
- 3:56Dayna Roselli: And all the restaurants were there and they featured like some of their favorite things that they wanted to share with people.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: There was a bar that was open.
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: Uh, we saw Wolfgang Puck, he was there.
- 4:07Dayna Roselli: We I lined up to take a picture with him.
- 4:09Sean McAllister: Wolfgang is always great.
- 4:11Sean McAllister: You're not the only one who lined up to take a picture with him.
- 4:14Sean McAllister: There was a line that stretched around the pool from where he was sitting.
- 4:20Sean McAllister: He was his station was kind of at the corner of the pool, and that line, there were a lot of people in it.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: There were, yeah, and he's great.
- 4:27Dayna Roselli: He kind of reminds me of Jack Nicholson.
- 4:29Dayna Roselli: He does a little bit about it.
- 4:30Dayna Roselli: There's something about him, you know, because they're I don't know, stunning men for their age.
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: They have this cool kind of look to them.
- 4:38Dayna Roselli: Maybe it's the glasses.
- 4:40Dayna Roselli: It might be, you know, because Jack Nicholson always had the glasses too.
- 4:43Sean McAllister: Wolfgang has like a vibe, a very cool, like suave kind of vibe about him, too, doesn't he?
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: It's so suave.
- 4:51Dayna Roselli: And you're like, yeah, you just want to hang out with Wolfgang.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: And he was so fun because we said, Can we take a picture?
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: You know, and he was like, Absolutely.
- 4:58Dayna Roselli: And I don't know how to imitate his accent.
- 5:01Dayna Roselli: But anyway, so after that, I looked over after we took the picture and I was like, What is this?
- 5:05Dayna Roselli: There was a dessert there, and then he's like, Oh, it's blah, blah, blah, la.
- 5:09Dayna Roselli: And I was like, okay, I didn't want to eat the dessert because I already eaten so much, but I felt like sucked into it because Wolfgang just told me what it is and that I should try it.
- 5:17Dayna Roselli: So then I ended up eating it anyway, and it was delicious.
- 5:20Dayna Roselli: It was like ice cream and this cookie thing.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 5:22Sean McAllister: Oh, so good.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: Fantastic.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: And what I was just gonna say, what a night.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: And it was by the pool.
- 5:27Dayna Roselli: They had a gorgeous, like beautiful colored balls like in the pool, and it just the whole outside property was stunning.
- 5:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, and Wolfgang Puck wasn't the only celebrity chef there.
- 5:36Sean McAllister: Uh, the cake boss, Buddy Velastro, was there.
- 5:40Sean McAllister: Uh, chef Lorena Garcia, who uh owns the Chica restaurant over at the Venetian, she was there.
- 5:46Sean McAllister: I had a great chat with her.
- 5:48Sean McAllister: She kind of took us through when we stopped and said hi to her, she was like, Oh, have you had any of my food yet?
- 5:54Sean McAllister: And we were like, No, we were just about to go get in line.
- 5:56Sean McAllister: She was like, Oh, don't get in line.
- 5:58Sean McAllister: I'll feed you.
- 5:59Sean McAllister: And she would was running over and grabbing the the plates and bringing them over to us.
- 6:04Sean McAllister: Each of the the courses that they had out there.
- 6:07Sean McAllister: She's terrific.
- 6:09Sean McAllister: She is.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: I love her.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: I was lucky enough one time to go into brunch and she was there.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: She pops up, you know, every now and then.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: And that's cool about her too.
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: That's what I love, you know.
- 6:17Dayna Roselli: I like seeing the chefs at their restaurant.
- 6:19Dayna Roselli: And I that's why I love that Wolfgang was there, you know.
- 6:23Dayna Roselli: He's got cut inside Palazzo, and hey, he's there at the Tastemaker event.
- 6:27Dayna Roselli: And Buddy Velastro was there, like we said, and we didn't know that until we saw him in one of my friends' pictures in the background.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: We said, wait, is that Buddy?
- 6:34Dayna Roselli: I didn't see Buddy there, but we know he was there because we saw him.
- 6:38Sean McAllister: She got photo bummed by the cake boss.
- 6:40Dayna Roselli: She did.
- 6:40Sean McAllister: I love that.
- 6:41Dayna Roselli: I love the burger I had at Black Tap, by the way.
- 6:44Dayna Roselli: I know you had a different one.
- 6:45Sean McAllister: Yes, and that was amazing too.
- 6:47Dayna Roselli: Yours was like what bacon and onions.
- 6:51Sean McAllister: Yeah, bacon, like caramelized onions.
- 6:54Sean McAllister: That looked good.
- 6:54Sean McAllister: Oh, it was delicious.
- 6:55Dayna Roselli: Well, I waited for the arugula and blue cheeseburger.
- 6:58Dayna Roselli: And let me tell you, it was fantastic.
- 7:02Sean McAllister: I love a blue burger.
- 7:03Dayna Roselli: Oh, it was so good.
- 7:05Dayna Roselli: I was starving when I went there.
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: So that was the first booth that I hit, and I was like, give me half that burger.
- 7:10Sean McAllister: Well, a lot of times when you go to these events, they serve little sliders, like you two bite kind of thing.
- 7:16Sean McAllister: No, black tap, they were full on like half a burger, half a full-size patty.
- 7:21Sean McAllister: That was so good.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: And they were they were really good.
- 7:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that was delicious.
- 7:26Sean McAllister: We need to go in there on a cheat day.
- 7:28Sean McAllister: I we do, for sure.
- 7:29Sean McAllister: And get the shake and the the whole shebang.
- 7:32Dayna Roselli: They have great restaurants at the Venetian and Palazzo.
- 7:35Dayna Roselli: They really do.
- 7:36Dayna Roselli: Bringing them all together for this tastemaker event and having the chefs there was a fantastic idea.
- 7:40Sean McAllister: And of course, uh, food and you know, poolside events are one form of entertainment here in Las Vegas.
- 7:47Sean McAllister: But another more traditional form, a new musical just opened over at Paris, Las Vegas.
- 7:52Sean McAllister: And Dana, you were there for the the big premiere.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: I was.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: It's called Bat Out of Hell.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: We've talked about it on the podcast before that it was coming up and it was opening, and we were excited to see another show inside that theater at the Paris.
- 8:05Dayna Roselli: Jersey Boys was there for so long.
- 8:07Dayna Roselli: They've tried a couple different things in between that didn't seem to stick.
- 8:11Dayna Roselli: So didn't know how it would be.
- 8:13Dayna Roselli: It was the media night, and so uh we were invited.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: You couldn't make it, but I went and we just loved it.
- 8:20Dayna Roselli: I tell you, I am very picky when it comes to musicals.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: I'm not a huge musical person.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: I do enjoy Broadway and I enjoy, but it's not like it would be my first thing to pick and go do.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: You know what I mean?
- 8:33Dayna Roselli: Like, but I really enjoyed this show.
- 8:37Dayna Roselli: Now, two things that might have added to it is Travis Clover's in it, and he was in Jersey Boys, uh, known Travis for a long time.
- 8:43Dayna Roselli: So it was good to see him out there in a Vegas production again.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: But Travis's part in this show was fantastic.
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: It was like I didn't even think back because he played Frankie Valley in Jersey Boys.
- 8:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I didn't have any Frankie Valley vibes when I watched, which really yeah, which is how I know like he like was so good at acting in this musical because it didn't remind me at all of that.
- 9:06Sean McAllister: Oh, that's so great to hear.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: And he was funny, so funny, and uh great singer, and you know, he great at acting out his part that he played and just fantastic.
- 9:19Dayna Roselli: And then Ann Martinez, she's in it too.
- 9:22Dayna Roselli: She's also a performer here around Las Vegas, and she was excellent as well, also very funny.
- 9:29Dayna Roselli: They are like husband and wife in the show, and so them together, we were even saying, gosh, Anne and Travis need to get their own show because they were great.
- 9:36Dayna Roselli: Their chemistry together was great on stage, but the whole cast was amazing, and they basically tell this story through Meatloaf's songs.
- 9:46Dayna Roselli: So Meatloaf has so many songs, which you don't even realize until you're at the musical, right?
- 9:51Dayna Roselli: Because you're like, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 9:54Sean McAllister: Right.
- 9:54Sean McAllister: And this is all the music from Meatloaf's Bad Out of Hell album.
- 9:58Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 9:58Dayna Roselli: And so it's like all played out in throughout the story.
- 10:02Dayna Roselli: And some scenes are funny, some are emotional, some are intense.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: So there's a lot going on.
- 10:10Dayna Roselli: I don't know if I want to give away the storyline because I do feel like that's part of going to this.
- 10:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: So even when I'm talking about Travis and Anne and what it's about, and all I feel like I don't want to like give all that away.
- 10:21SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 10:22Dayna Roselli: But um, because if you go see it, it's kind of fun to follow along at the story story and to follow along with the story.
- 10:28Dayna Roselli: Um, it does have a little bit of a completely different musical, West Side story vibe when it comes to a certain side and another side and a love story and all that kind of thing.
- 10:39Sean McAllister: So like a star-cross lover kind of theme to the show.
- 10:42Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:43Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 10:43Dayna Roselli: So anyway, it was really good, entertaining.
- 10:46Dayna Roselli: One thing they could get rid of is is the streamer guns that keep going off.
- 10:50Dayna Roselli: That's my only negative because they scare you.
- 10:53Dayna Roselli: You'll hear this like pop, right?
- 10:55Dayna Roselli: And you're like, ah.
- 10:57Dayna Roselli: But the streamer effect is great, but it's just, it starts off with that, and every now and then in the middle of the show, it it goes off again.
- 11:04Sean McAllister: Well, and I think it's so funny because whenever we go to a show and there's a ton of confetti that shoots out into the audience, you always keep finding confetti in your purse or in pockets or wherever, like for months to follow.
- 11:19Dayna Roselli: It's funny you say that because I cleared out my purse.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: Because as women, Sean, we switch purses when we go out to match.
- 11:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it's a new season.
- 11:26Dayna Roselli: I took everything out when I got home and put it back into my like work bag and all that.
- 11:30Dayna Roselli: And then I noticed there were streamers in there, and I left them in there purposely just to like get them another day, you know?
- 11:37Sean McAllister: And a reminder.
- 11:38Sean McAllister: Oh, bad out of hell.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: Yes, bad out of hell.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: So great uh show, lots of talented people in there that cast really strong voices, great singers.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: There's a lot of funny moments, a lot of funny cast members as well.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: Um, they had an after party after on the pool deck of the Paris, uh, they had live music out there.
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: The cast came out, and you can tell they're just excited to be here, excited to be performing and doing this show.
- 12:02Dayna Roselli: And uh congratulations.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: I really hope that it lasts.
- 12:06Dayna Roselli: And I also want to say if you're in Vegas and you want to go see, you know, a musical or something different.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: Maybe you've got like three nights here and you're gonna do a circle and then you're gonna do one of the headlining shows at Zappos Theater.
- 12:18Dayna Roselli: I mean, mix in Bad Out of Hell.
- 12:19Dayna Roselli: I think you'll really enjoy it.
- 12:20Sean McAllister: And is there, uh, I know for a lot of musicals, at least on Broadway, there's an intermission.
- 12:26Sean McAllister: And that usually gets eliminated when a show comes here to Vegas.
- 12:30Sean McAllister: Is it the same way?
- 12:31Sean McAllister: Same way.
- 12:32Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 12:32Sean McAllister: No intermission.
- 12:33Sean McAllister: No intermission.
- 12:33Dayna Roselli: Nope.
- 12:34Dayna Roselli: And I don't think it was more than an hour.
- 12:35Dayna Roselli: I don't think it was more than an hour and a half.
- 12:37Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: So, you know, they kept it within that Vegas window of time.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: But yeah, no intermission.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: So really interesting.
- 12:45Dayna Roselli: Uh, the music was great, and I loved it because you don't even realize how much you actually know the words to these meatloaf songs.
- 12:51Dayna Roselli: You might not even think you do, and then when they play, you're like, oh, you're singing along.
- 12:55Sean McAllister: And didn't you say that some of the songs are like really funny as far as how they fit into the storyline?
- 13:01Dayna Roselli: Well, what's the one with the dashboard uh dashboard lights by the dashboard lights?
- 13:05Sean McAllister: We did this before, we couldn't remember the full name of it.
- 13:08Dayna Roselli: Whatever by the dashboard.
- 13:09Dayna Roselli: Everyone knows what I'm talking about talking about, right?
- 13:11Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 13:12Sean McAllister: The dashboard confessional lights.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: Hilarious scene, one of the best scenes in the whole show.
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 13:19Dayna Roselli: It's funny.
- 13:20Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 13:20Dayna Roselli: It's so you're just it's just it's a good show.
- 13:23Dayna Roselli: I think you'll have some laughs.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: Uh, you'll cheer for the cast.
- 13:27Dayna Roselli: Uh, the costumes are great.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: There's there's a lot going on in this show, the way that they do it.
- 13:31Dayna Roselli: It's really cool.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: Good.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: I'm excited to get over to see it when when I'm able to.
- 13:36Sean McAllister: And again, big congratulations to the cast of Bat Out of Hell over at Paris, Las Vegas.
- 13:43Dayna Roselli: All right, let's talk about Mark Wahlberg.
- 13:45Dayna Roselli: We have known that he was moving here and moved here for a while.
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: But he was recently on a TV show called The Talk.
- 13:52Dayna Roselli: I don't know if you've watched that on TV, but you know, always a good show.
- 13:56Dayna Roselli: It's been around for a long time.
- 13:57Sean McAllister: That's the CBS uh daytime show, is where you can find it.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: Anyway, he was on The Talk, and we learned a little bit more about his take on moving to Las Vegas and Nevada.
- 14:08Sean McAllister: And it was really exciting because I've been uh talking with people who see Mark Wahlberg at their kids' sporting events or at school events, and they're like, Yeah, I mean, he's here.
- 14:20Sean McAllister: He's just here doing the dad thing, and he's great with the other parents when when he's at these events for his kids.
- 14:31Sean McAllister: And they say he just blends in like everyone else, except the for the fact that he's Mark Wahlberg.
- 14:36Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, it's Mark Wahlberg.
- 14:38Dayna Roselli: I just saw him in a movie too on Netflix called Father Stew.
- 14:41Dayna Roselli: He was excellent.
- 14:42Dayna Roselli: I feel like he might be up for an award this year for that one.
- 14:44Dayna Roselli: Oh, interesting.
- 14:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and Mel Gibson's in it too, which I haven't seen him act in a while, but and he plays his father.
- 14:50Dayna Roselli: It's really good.
- 14:51Dayna Roselli: Um, but it's not the most uplifting.
- 14:55Dayna Roselli: Well, it's up there's parts that are uplifting at the end, but it's not the most uplifting movie throughout.
- 15:00Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 15:00Dayna Roselli: It's you know, so yeah.
- 15:02Sean McAllister: So have some tissues ready.
- 15:04Dayna Roselli: Have some tissues ready.
- 15:05Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 15:05Dayna Roselli: But he does a really good job.
- 15:06Dayna Roselli: Anyway, I was watching that thinking, oh, it's so weird.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: Mark Wahlberg like lives down the street now.
- 15:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, well, as a matter of fact, it partly is because of his acting career, why he wanted to relocate here to Las Vegas and kind of turn this into the next Hollywood and really get a movie studio up and running along with some other business propositions.
- 15:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so let's listen to that piece where he talks about this on the talk on CBS.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: Well, that is the biggest challenge right there, Cheryl.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: As you know, uh, you know, every free moment that I have, I'm at home.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm literally, I moved to Nevada.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: We're we're after this gubernatorial election, hopefully go to legislation and get a bill passed so we can get tax credits for the state, build a state-of-the-art studio here, um, and make this Hollywood 2.0.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: I want to be able to work from home.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting, and I've only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: So to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams, whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son is a basketball player, my youngest son is a golfer, you know, this made a lot more sense for us to go and hopefully build a studio as well as a shoe factory and uh a factory for municipal.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: So we came here to uh, you know, just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: And there's lots of opportunity here.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: So I'm excited, I'm really excited about the future.
- 16:29Sean McAllister: First off, Mark, it's Nevada, not Nevada.
- 16:34Sean McAllister: That is a pet peeve of longtime residents.
- 16:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he'll learn.
- 16:39Dayna Roselli: That's okay, though.
- 16:40Dayna Roselli: I totally get that people say it wrong when they first move here or start using it more in their language.
- 16:46Dayna Roselli: Correct.
- 16:47Dayna Roselli: So we'll give him a pass on that.
- 16:49Dayna Roselli: Uh, but yeah, exciting to hear that he's proud to have moved here and live and live here and what he wants to bring to the economy.
- 16:56Dayna Roselli: I'm excited about that.
- 16:57Sean McAllister: Well, and and yeah, to have a major move movie studio here and then have uh a couple different factories that he wants to open up and create jobs, contribute to the economy.
- 17:10Sean McAllister: He uh is a very business-minded person.
- 17:13Sean McAllister: And of course, the family has uh the Wahlbergers chain of restaurants as well.
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and they have one at Bailey's too, right?
- 17:21Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 17:21Dayna Roselli: I think so.
- 17:22Dayna Roselli: Or is it not Bailey's anymore?
- 17:23Sean McAllister: Oh, now it's the horseshoe.
- 17:24Sean McAllister: Well, it's transitioning into the horseshoe.
- 17:26Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: Over there they have one.
- 17:28Sean McAllister: Over at the corner of uh Flamingo and Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 17:32Sean McAllister: There you go.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I love that he said um, I was reading a little bit more in the article, you know, saying he wanted to come here too, like to want his kids to like not say raise because they're older or older in their teens.
- 17:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:47Dayna Roselli: Not raise his kids here, but have a life here, which I thought was really cool because I don't know what it is.
- 17:51Dayna Roselli: I totally get it when people say I don't want to raise my kids here.
- 17:54Dayna Roselli: Like I understand there are things that we have that most cities don't have, like, you know, billboards that drive up and down the street with, you know, strippers direct to your room and stuff like that.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: I understand all that.
- 18:08Dayna Roselli: But sometimes I get a little offended when people are like, I don't want to raise my kids here.
- 18:12Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, why?
- 18:12Dayna Roselli: What's wrong with it?
- 18:14Dayna Roselli: But I love that he said, I want to raise my kids in Las Vegas.
- 18:17Dayna Roselli: I'm like, great.
- 18:18Dayna Roselli: Um, but I think what he means is we have a lot of things going for us that his kids are involved in basketball, and like he said, the equestrian stuff.
- 18:26Sean McAllister: Because South Point has a great equestrian and there's a lot of great horse ranches around Las Vegas, too.
- 18:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, really.
- 18:35Dayna Roselli: So kind of cool to hear him talk about all that.
- 18:37Dayna Roselli: And hey, I'm all about Hollywood 2.0.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: Why we have so much space here.
- 18:41Dayna Roselli: And we just recently actually went to a studio that is starting to do more of that stuff inside there, but using technology inside, and they were saying they plan to get maybe a a bunch of movies in there.
- 18:57Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it would only benefit if Mark Wahlberg gets a studio up and running, it's only going to benefit all of the uh existing uh infrastructure and studios that are uh already here.
- 19:13Sean McAllister: So I say bring it on, yeah, uh create a a brand new uh portion sector of the economy, diversify you know, away from the entertainment and hospitality because as the pandemic approved, it's not good to have all your eggs in one basket, or at least most of your eggs in one basket, and to have more a more diversified economy is a good thing.
- 19:40Dayna Roselli: And when we were touring that View Studios, we were chatting with the general manager, and all of us agreed like it's such a great place to shoot movies because people can come in and do other things.
- 19:52Dayna Roselli: It's not like you're in this flown into this town where there's not really much else to do, right?
- 19:58Dayna Roselli: Um, or doesn't have a lot going on.
- 20:00Dayna Roselli: It's like you can come in, shoot your movie, and then go have some fun, or you can come in and do a couple different things.
- 20:08Sean McAllister: Right.
- 20:08Dayna Roselli: Like we were saying there was uh a football player or something that was, you know, they they came in for a game, but they also came in to shoot like this commercial they needed to do.
- 20:16Dayna Roselli: And so it's like you can get a bunch of stuff done um by being here and then, you know, pour a little money into Las Vegas in other ways, too.
- 20:25Dayna Roselli: So that's a huge win for us.
- 20:26Sean McAllister: Yeah, well, I mean, uh obviously there's gambling, there's restaurants, there's golf, there's you know, extreme driving activities, uh really anything that you want to do on the recreational side, Vegas has it.
- 20:40Sean McAllister: So it does perfectly complement uh, you know, the the staff and the talent that are coming in for productions.
- 20:49Sean McAllister: It gives them something to do in their off time.
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: I mean, drive an hour, you can ride a camel.
- 20:54Dayna Roselli: True, very true.
- 20:55Sean McAllister: And it sounds like a lot of people are, thanks to the tip a couple weeks back.
- 20:58Dayna Roselli: Everyone's coming up to us and talking about the camel riding.
- 21:01Dayna Roselli: Oh, the camel rides.
- 21:02Dayna Roselli: I'm going out for camel rides.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, welcome, Mark Wahlberg, to Viva Las Vegas.
- 21:08Dayna Roselli: Um, we hope everything that you just said there on the talk comes true because we're here for it.
- 21:13Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 21:13Sean McAllister: Welcome, Mark.
- 21:14Sean McAllister: Um, and also, I mean, welcome pretty soon to the new Durango Resort, which is being built uh in the southwest part of the Las Vegas Valley.
- 21:27Sean McAllister: If you are a regular listener, you heard us talk about the Durango Resort when we were there for the groundbreaking and kind of a preview of what to expect from this new resort.
- 21:39Dayna Roselli: And that didn't feel like it was too long ago.
- 21:41Dayna Roselli: No.
- 21:41Dayna Roselli: And then all of a sudden, the other day, they're like topping off the building.
- 21:45Dayna Roselli: We're like, wait, whoa, what happened?
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: But you and I don't drive by there a lot.
- 21:49Dayna Roselli: So we haven't seen the actual process of it going up.
- 21:52Sean McAllister: True.
- 21:53Dayna Roselli: So maybe we just but it doesn't it feel like you blinked and then like Yes.
- 21:56Sean McAllister: I was like, how in the world are they already topping off?
- 22:00Sean McAllister: The structure of this new resort.
- 22:04Sean McAllister: They work quick here.
- 22:05Sean McAllister: They sure do.
- 22:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 22:06Dayna Roselli: And we met a lot of people in the construction industry industry last night, which we'll talk about in a minute.
- 22:10Dayna Roselli: But uh, okay, so the Durango did top off, which is great.
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: So they put up a post and uh showed this happening and they put in some little factoids.
- 22:20Dayna Roselli: So here's an update on what's going on there.
- 22:22Dayna Roselli: It's slated to open in 2023.
- 22:25Dayna Roselli: Um, it's gonna have 15 floors, over 200 hotel rooms, convention and meeting space, a resort, pool, and cabanas, outdoor social area, and free parking.
- 22:35Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 22:35Dayna Roselli: So we look forward to that arriving in 2023 along with a lot of other things.
- 22:40Dayna Roselli: 2023 is a big year.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be packed.
- 22:43Dayna Roselli: Packed with the amount of things happening.
- 22:46Dayna Roselli: Insane.
- 22:47Dayna Roselli: Um, and speaking of that, you know, conventions seem to really be back.
- 22:51Dayna Roselli: You and I hosted a happy hour event for the whole like construction and architecture community um that were in town for the global gaming convention.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: Global gaming, a huge, huge event that happens every year.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: Last year was scaled down a little, right?
- 23:08Sean McAllister: It was.
- 23:08Sean McAllister: It was the first one back in person, so it wasn't really back full strength, but this year, man.
- 23:16Dayna Roselli: We went to the Venetian for this event and it was at Tau, and we were the MCs, and getting in and getting out, wow, you and I kept saying, I mean, we talk about conventions all the time.
- 23:28Dayna Roselli: We've been to a few conventions, but we were like, this is why convention business is so crucial to our economy.
- 23:35Sean McAllister: It was when we were walking through the Venetian, uh it was right around seven o'clock, so prime dinner time, and there were lines out the doors of every single restaurant at the Venetian, and people just like waiting for waiting for their reservation time.
- 23:57Sean McAllister: And I could not believe the number of people that were out, but that is exactly what convention business does for our resorts.
- 24:05Dayna Roselli: It's true.
- 24:06Dayna Roselli: And you and I always park at the palazzo because it's pretty easy in and out.
- 24:10Dayna Roselli: And this was like the first time ever we were like calling each other, like, I can't find a spot.
- 24:15Dayna Roselli: I can't either.
- 24:16Sean McAllister: Dude, what level are you on?
- 24:17Sean McAllister: Do you see anything?
- 24:18Dayna Roselli: I found one on level two, you found one on level four.
- 24:22Dayna Roselli: I know, and we usually park on level three, it's our go-to.
- 24:24Sean McAllister: It is, but three, no, fully occupied.
- 24:27Sean McAllister: No room at the inn.
- 24:29Sean McAllister: None.
- 24:29Dayna Roselli: I was circled around forever.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: I was like, all right, I'm done.
- 24:32Dayna Roselli: I've got to get to another floor.
- 24:33Dayna Roselli: I just felt like it's like some point the karma would come, you know, the parking karma.
- 24:37Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 24:38Dayna Roselli: It didn't.
- 24:39Dayna Roselli: So yeah, it was jam-packed.
- 24:40Dayna Roselli: Glad to see everyone out here for the Global Gaming Expo.
- 24:43Dayna Roselli: Love it.
- 24:44Dayna Roselli: Uh, tons of new technology featured.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: I've been seeing so many different videos of some of those really cool slot machines and games and all that kind of thing.
- 24:52Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's always a great, it's always a a fun time too, because you do see the new technology before it actually hits the casino floor.
- 25:02Sean McAllister: And then, you know, as soon as the new slot machines are out there, you're like, yeah, I saw that at G2E last year.
- 25:08Sean McAllister: Right.
- 25:08Sean McAllister: I've been waiting for this.
- 25:10Sean McAllister: So yeah, convention business back in a big way.
- 25:14Sean McAllister: And uh Mandalay Bay is doubling down on its commitment to convention business with a massive remodel of all of its convention and meeting space.
- 25:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they announced that they're gonna spend a hundred million dollars on this remodel of its 2.1 million square foot convention center.
- 25:37Dayna Roselli: Is that possible?
- 25:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, I mean 2.1 million?
- 25:41Sean McAllister: Yeah, they they have a lot of space over there.
- 25:43Sean McAllister: Big because they just added on to their convention space within the past few years.
- 25:50Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 25:51Dayna Roselli: It's unreal.
- 25:52Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, add on because if we can bring all these people in and keep bringing them in, it's great.
- 25:57Dayna Roselli: So, yeah, congratulations to Mandalay Bay, who's doing a big refurbish over there to their convention area.
- 26:03Dayna Roselli: And I'm sure they'll be kicking up more conventions over there in the near future.
- 26:07Sean McAllister: And when uh conventions are in town, there are a lot of concerts that happen uh here as well for the attendees.
- 26:15Sean McAllister: And one that uh people can start to put on their calendar, not for this year or the beginning of next year or even the middle of next year.
- 26:26Sean McAllister: For fall of 2023, you can mark it down now.
- 26:30Sean McAllister: The When We Were Young Festival is coming back, and we just got the lineup for uh what to expect from that.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: I know, and the funny thing is, the current one hasn't even happened yet.
- 26:41Sean McAllister: No, it hasn't.
- 26:42Dayna Roselli: But it's uh coming out next weekend, coming in, I should say, next weekend.
- 26:46Dayna Roselli: Um We Were Young Festival will be for two days over the weekend of the 22nd, and then one more day because they added it the following weekend on the 29th.
- 26:54Dayna Roselli: So this festival sold out like hotcakes.
- 26:58Dayna Roselli: And uh where did that phrase come from?
- 27:00Dayna Roselli: Sold like hotcakes.
- 27:02Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 27:02Sean McAllister: I guess uh there probably was a time when like pancakes were a big deal and people were just buying them left and right.
- 27:10Dayna Roselli: Anyway, you wanted to make sure that was right.
- 27:13Dayna Roselli: Sold like hotcakes.
- 27:16Dayna Roselli: Um and who knew?
- 27:18Dayna Roselli: I think everyone, I don't want to say they were shocked, but everyone was like, wow, like everyone's really wanting to go to a festival with this kind of music.
- 27:28Dayna Roselli: And when we say this kind, it's like kind of our what would you say, 90s?
- 27:32Sean McAllister: Yeah, I would say 90s or highs.
- 27:35Sean McAllister: They call it like emop kind of music.
- 27:38Dayna Roselli: Um, we're talking like Blink 182, Green Day, uh Sublime, um and they're in the lineup for 2023.
- 27:49Dayna Roselli: Um, some of the people in the lineup for this one coming up here, uh Avril Levine Dashboard Confessional, yeah, and lots of other ones.
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: So anyway, uh people are loving this festival, but you're right.
- 28:00Dayna Roselli: They did just announce that already for the next year, and already, I mean, you the Twitter's going crazy, the the Instagram's going crazy, and people are like, I want it, I want to tick it.
- 28:09Sean McAllister: Hey, everybody, uh mark your calendars.
- 28:11Sean McAllister: We're going as a group, and it's October of next year, so there's no excuse not to go.
- 28:17Sean McAllister: True.
- 28:18Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 28:19Sean McAllister: It is, it's great music, and it kind of brings you back to to a good time.
- 28:23Sean McAllister: I feel like the 90s, like late 90s, early 2000s was a good time in in music.
- 28:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 28:31Dayna Roselli: It was it was a good time.
- 28:33Sean McAllister: It still holds up, it doesn't feel like it's old dated.
- 28:37Sean McAllister: Although that's coming from like an old dated guy, too.
- 28:41Dayna Roselli: Well, you know, everyone now is redoing old songs because there's no good music out there currently.
- 28:46Dayna Roselli: That's how I feel.
- 28:47Dayna Roselli: But then again, that might be coming from an old lady.
- 28:50Dayna Roselli: So anyway, explains the gray hair I found when I pulled into your house today.
- 28:55Dayna Roselli: Had to get the tweezers out.
- 28:57Dayna Roselli: Oh no.
- 28:58Dayna Roselli: One long strand.
- 29:00Dayna Roselli: All right, moving on.
- 29:01Dayna Roselli: Hey, quick thing I wanted to mention.
- 29:04Dayna Roselli: Your tip last week on the free show over at Sam's Town is getting lots of feedback.
- 29:09Dayna Roselli: People are going, what?
- 29:10Dayna Roselli: I gotta take my kids to this.
- 29:11Dayna Roselli: I didn't know.
- 29:12Dayna Roselli: But then there's a group also that are writing to us and saying, Hey, I grew up with this show.
- 29:17Dayna Roselli: That's like a piece of my childhood, and wow, it's still there.
- 29:21Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 29:22Dayna Roselli: And it is, it's still there.
- 29:24Dayna Roselli: Go back and listen to our tips from episode 138.
- 29:27Dayna Roselli: You'll hear all about it.
- 29:28Dayna Roselli: Someone also wrote and said, apparently at Christmas time they have snow.
- 29:32Sean McAllister: Oh, I love that in the show.
- 29:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 29:34Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, get over there and see this show at Samstown.
- 29:37Dayna Roselli: Sean went and you said it was fabulous.
- 29:39Sean McAllister: I loved it.
- 29:40Sean McAllister: I loved it.
- 29:40Dayna Roselli: It's water and features and animals.
- 29:44Sean McAllister: Animals, it's it's great.
- 29:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 29:46Dayna Roselli: Like not really animatronic, yeah.
- 29:48Dayna Roselli: Animatronics.
- 29:49Dayna Roselli: That's yeah.
- 29:49Sean McAllister: Like they don't let the bear run wild in the atrium.
- 29:53Dayna Roselli: No, but it looks really, really cool.
- 29:56Dayna Roselli: So um, we're gonna talk about the new app, Vegas Near Me, at the end of the show.
- 30:00Dayna Roselli: So stick with that.
- 30:01Dayna Roselli: We want to tell you some features.
- 30:03Dayna Roselli: It's now launched, and click the link in our bio to download it.
- 30:06Dayna Roselli: But first, let's do some tips.
- 30:10Sean McAllister: Dana, for the first 15 years that I lived here in Las Vegas, um, there's a neighborhood, an area of town called Green Valley.
- 30:19Sean McAllister: It's in Henderson.
- 30:21Sean McAllister: Um, but that was my neighborhood.
- 30:23Sean McAllister: That was my bubble that I loved, and I still love it.
- 30:27Sean McAllister: And I love seeing that we have a new restaurant, a steakhouse opening in Green Valley.
- 30:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's by a chef Matthew Meyer.
- 30:36Dayna Roselli: It sounds really good.
- 30:38Dayna Roselli: It's called Craft Chop House 138.
- 30:42Dayna Roselli: And Sean, the 138 comes from something new that I learned.
- 30:46Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 30:46Dayna Roselli: That's the perfect temperature for finishing steaks.
- 30:49Dayna Roselli: Oh, really?
- 30:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, had no idea.
- 30:52Dayna Roselli: So he's opening this new restaurant, and dinner service is gonna open on the 15th of October.
- 30:57Dayna Roselli: Then brunch is gonna follow with opening on October 22nd.
- 31:01Dayna Roselli: And then in coming weeks, they'll be serving lunch as well.
- 31:06Dayna Roselli: Did I just hit the microphone?
- 31:08Sean McAllister: Yeah, but you were just so excited about everything.
- 31:09Sean McAllister: The arms were going.
- 31:10Dayna Roselli: The arms were going.
- 31:11Dayna Roselli: I was using the hands.
- 31:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so um, so eventually, so it's all opening, you know, October, November, and it'll be a fully operational restaurant, which includes the Kraft Chop House, um, and they call it Creative Neighborhood Dining.
- 31:26Dayna Roselli: It's gonna have a full cocktail lounge, it's gonna have killer burgers, apparently, and a boundary breaking brunch.
- 31:34Sean McAllister: Ooh.
- 31:35Dayna Roselli: Sounds good, right?
- 31:36Sean McAllister: This kind of ticks all the boxes for me.
- 31:38Sean McAllister: It's certainly.
- 31:38Sean McAllister: I love a steakhouse, I love a brunch, I love great burgers, and I love a cocktail lounge.
- 31:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I love when new like restaurants like this are announced in you know different parts of town that you know, it's not like on the long restaurant row of because this is at what Horizon Ridge and Stephanie?
- 31:56Sean McAllister: Horizon Ridge and Stephanie, yeah.
- 31:58Sean McAllister: So you would need to if you're getting there from the strip, you would take uh the I-15 highway to the 215 and go east and get off at Stephanie and it's right there.
- 32:11Sean McAllister: Oh, okay, perfect.
- 32:11Sean McAllister: Yeah, so really easy if you're coming from the strip, it's it could not be an easier route.
- 32:18Dayna Roselli: Love that.
- 32:18Dayna Roselli: All right, so that's gonna be opening again uh here soon.
- 32:21Dayna Roselli: Go check it out, check it out.
- 32:23Dayna Roselli: It's called 138, and it's by Chef Matthew Meyer.
- 32:26Dayna Roselli: It's in the same space as a restaurant that he actually had previously called Served Global Dining.
- 32:31Dayna Roselli: So if you've ever been there, it's the same location.
- 32:35Sean McAllister: Uh moving on to our next tip.
- 32:37Sean McAllister: Um, Dana, when's the last time that King Tut made headlines?
- 32:42Dayna Roselli: It's been a while.
- 32:43Sean McAllister: It has, hasn't it?
- 32:45Sean McAllister: I was just doing a little uh news search.
- 32:48Dayna Roselli: Oh my goodness.
- 32:49Dayna Roselli: Well, he's coming to the luxord in in a certain way.
- 32:55Sean McAllister: His artifacts are anyhow.
- 32:57Dayna Roselli: Um it's now open, actually.
- 32:59Dayna Roselli: It's a new immersive exhibit.
- 33:01Dayna Roselli: Um, we love immersive exhibits.
- 33:03Dayna Roselli: Uh, get ready, they say, to be transported to a flourishing ancient Egypt and discover one of the greatest archaeological achievements that took place 100 years ago this year.
- 33:16Dayna Roselli: And it's over at the Luxor.
- 33:18Dayna Roselli: This is gonna be pretty cool.
- 33:20Dayna Roselli: Um, apparently, it's an exhibition that takes you on a journey of the discovery of King Tut's tomb.
- 33:27Sean McAllister: Very cool.
- 33:28Sean McAllister: And you know what's kind of interesting?
- 33:30Sean McAllister: One of the guys who originally found uh King Tut's tomb and you know pulled out artifacts and stuff, um, is the guy who lives in the real life, uh who lived in the real life estate that's seen in Downton Abbey.
- 33:48Dayna Roselli: Oh, really?
- 33:49Dayna Roselli: Okay, interesting.
- 33:50Sean McAllister: So there's like a Downton Abbey connection.
- 33:51Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 33:52Sean McAllister: I I don't know if they're gonna go in depth at this exhibit about that.
- 33:56Dayna Roselli: But what a perfect exhibit for the Luxor, right?
- 33:58Sean McAllister: It really is.
- 33:59Dayna Roselli: So I love that.
- 34:00Dayna Roselli: And you know, I feel like they have a lot of long-standing things at the Luxor.
- 34:05Dayna Roselli: You know, Caratops been there, Blue Man Group, Fantasy.
- 34:10Dayna Roselli: Um, they had the bodies exhibit there for a while before that moved, and now we've got this exhibit that will be located there, and it's all about King Tut's tomb, so you can come, you can learn.
- 34:22Dayna Roselli: I love that we have educational things on the strip as well.
- 34:25Sean McAllister: Yeah, you'll find out about you know the younger King Tut when he was still, you know, tutting around.
- 34:32Sean McAllister: And also, uh guess are also the witness, the mummification process.
- 34:38Dayna Roselli: Oh, that's interesting, I think.
- 34:39Sean McAllister: So I I don't know exactly.
- 34:41Sean McAllister: I'm I'm guessing that there probably aren't like real volunteers who step up for that.
- 34:47Sean McAllister: Uh, but that'll be cool to see.
- 34:49Dayna Roselli: Wasn't there a song called King Tut?
- 34:52Sean McAllister: Yes, there was.
- 34:53Sean McAllister: And I don't know.
- 34:54Dayna Roselli: Or was or is didn't go away.
- 34:56Sean McAllister: I feel like it was a real song, but then it was used, I think, in like a dog food commercial or something.
- 35:03Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah.
- 35:04Dayna Roselli: Or was that, or didn't like Steve Martin do something with it, maybe?
- 35:08Sean McAllister: On Saturday Night Live.
- 35:10Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, that's right.
- 35:11Dayna Roselli: That's was that where it was used?
- 35:13Dayna Roselli: Okay, now I'm Googling.
- 35:14Dayna Roselli: We're gonna do this live.
- 35:15Dayna Roselli: King tut.
- 35:16Sean McAllister: Well, yeah, I don't know if it was like a music group that did the song and then SNL used it for the skit.
- 35:24Dayna Roselli: I do remember the Steve Martin hook there.
- 35:28Dayna Roselli: King tut.
- 35:29Dayna Roselli: King tut.
- 35:30Sean McAllister: I can see him dancing in the headdress.
- 35:32Sean McAllister: Yes, me too.
- 35:32Sean McAllister: He wasn't wearing a shirt.
- 35:35Sean McAllister: He had one of those Egyptian skirt things on.
- 35:38Dayna Roselli: We really like to take a lot of things and just like twist them into a completely different topic.
- 35:44Sean McAllister: Oh, I found it.
- 35:45Sean McAllister: And thank you, by the way, for uh to our listeners for putting up with all of our tangents.
- 35:49Sean McAllister: We go on a lot of tangents.
- 35:51Dayna Roselli: We do go on a lot of tangents.
- 35:52Dayna Roselli: We used to edit more, but we've decided just to pretend it's live.
- 35:55Dayna Roselli: So now the tangents are in there.
- 35:57Dayna Roselli: We're just too lazy to edit.
- 35:58Dayna Roselli: We're busy, we're busier, we're busy, busy, busy.
- 36:01Sean McAllister: Not lazy, just busy.
- 36:02Sean McAllister: Right.
- 36:02Sean McAllister: Oh, so what are you finding?
- 36:06SPEAKER_03: One of the great art exhibits ever to tour the United States is the treasures of Tuton Common or King Tut.
- 36:13SPEAKER_03: But I think it's a national disgrace the way we have commercialized it.
- 36:16SPEAKER_03: So it's trinkets and toys and Steve Martin posters on SNL.
- 36:30SPEAKER_03: Compare it with the token.
- 36:34Dayna Roselli: It's catchy.
- 36:36Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, that's great.
- 36:37Sean McAllister: So it's a Saturday night live song.
- 36:38Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 36:39Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 36:39Dayna Roselli: Skid has 6.9 million views on YouTube.
- 36:42Dayna Roselli: Oh.
- 36:43Dayna Roselli: So other people apparently enjoy it too.
- 36:46Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 36:47Dayna Roselli: Steve Martin not appearing at the King Tut exhibit over at the Lux Store, but go check it out and enjoy it.
- 36:52Dayna Roselli: I think it sounds like it'll be pretty cool.
- 36:54Dayna Roselli: We'll try and get over there as well.
- 36:56Dayna Roselli: And when we do, we'll tell you what it's all about.
- 36:58Sean McAllister: And you can find King Tut and other Vegas attractions on the Vegas Near Me app.
- 37:06Sean McAllister: As we mentioned at the top of the podcast, the Vegas Near Me app is now live in the Apple App Store.
- 37:14Sean McAllister: You do need iOS 16, the iOS 16 operating system, which I guess the OS stands for, um on your phone, downloaded and installed in order to make the app work correctly.
- 37:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, there's a lot of stuff on here, folks.
- 37:30Dayna Roselli: And you can find the perfect activity with tens of thousands of curated and time-stapped uh YouTube and podcast clips as well.
- 37:39Dayna Roselli: So, like if you go and look at something, you'll see any YouTube or podcast underneath it that was the most recent that talks about that activity.
- 37:49Dayna Roselli: So you can learn about them.
- 37:51Dayna Roselli: You can also apparently save a lot of money on hotels, shows, flights, rental cars, and more.
- 37:57Dayna Roselli: And then I love this, Sean.
- 37:59Dayna Roselli: It even has detailed parking information for every Las Vegas major resort.
- 38:03Dayna Roselli: So it's a lot of info.
- 38:05Sean McAllister: And that's huge.
- 38:06Sean McAllister: The parking stuff is huge because even though we go to the strip all the time, and I I think I know the deal with all the parking stuff, I get there and I'm like, oh, this isn't what I thought.
- 38:18Sean McAllister: And so now having the Vegas Near Me app right in the palm of my hand all the time, I can just look where I'm going, click on parking, and get everything that I need to know just seconds before I step out the door.
- 38:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and what they've worked so hard on is getting all the information and making sure it's accurate.
- 38:36Dayna Roselli: So you can click on the parking and it'll tell you it costs this or it's free, you know, so you know ahead of time to plan your route.
- 38:44Dayna Roselli: Because we plan a lot on where the free parking is.
- 38:46Dayna Roselli: We like navigate around.
- 38:50Dayna Roselli: So, all right, Vegas Near Me, the app is now officially launched.
- 38:54Dayna Roselli: Click the link in our bio and use our exclusive link.
- 38:58Dayna Roselli: We've got a Vegas uh revealed link that we'd love you to click on before you download it and then and go enjoy.
- 39:05Sean McAllister: Yeah, it'll take you directly to the app store.
- 39:07Sean McAllister: Um, you're gonna love it.
- 39:09Sean McAllister: Download Vegas Near Me, play around with it, and look up if it's fun to do or see, it's on Vegas Near Me.
- 39:17Dayna Roselli: You and I are heading to the NASCAR race this weekend.
- 39:20Dayna Roselli: Look forward to that.
- 39:21Dayna Roselli: Uh, we are recording this on a Thursday right now, but the show drops on, you know, Saturday at midnight, and we're going on Sunday.
- 39:30Sean McAllister: And uh for one of our tips next week, it's a big mystery with a picnic involved.
- 39:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I like this picnic idea.
- 39:40Dayna Roselli: I can't wait to hear all about your experience.
- 39:42Dayna Roselli: We're gonna share that in our tips.
- 39:44Dayna Roselli: This might be something that you guys want to do, folks.
- 39:46Dayna Roselli: So it's really cool.
- 39:47Dayna Roselli: Listen up.
- 39:48Dayna Roselli: Hey, we're going to 140 next week.
- 39:50Dayna Roselli: Episode 140.
- 39:51Dayna Roselli: It's crazy.
- 39:52Dayna Roselli: Isn't it?
- 39:53Dayna Roselli: We're heading toward 150.
- 39:55Dayna Roselli: Man.
- 39:55Dayna Roselli: I know, I can't believe it.
- 39:57Dayna Roselli: Have a great week, everyone.
- 39:59Dayna Roselli: Bye.

- 40:13SPEAKER_02: It's good, baby.
