Yeah, they're gonna be like, hmm, they're already whatever. Why did I think at some point I thought me the teacher was Friday. And I guess I was looking at another school. I don't really know. The update came out on Wednesday. ⁓ record on Mondays and schedule to release on Thursdays for the pod. So either I can release the pod earlier. Is that what you mean? don't know how to I don't know how to do it. That's what I'm saying. Because like we need time to play. ⁓ huh. And do you think you've had enough time to play before we talk about what we're doing? Yeah. This time around. I mean, I guess depending on our schedules. Like when you start school, you're gonna be crazy and I haven't played much. I played a little bit this weekend, but ⁓ was kinda sick and exhausted and like had no energy to do really anything. All So let's start with some Disney news. Cause you said you had a lot of Dreamlight Valley updates. Mm-hmm. Most of our Disney news has to do with Mickey's not so scary Halloween party. Since we're going, we're gonna leave that till the last. Hallmarks Disney movie, Disney Christmas movie is getting a lot more buzz right now. I'm so excited. ⁓ with Lacey Shab Shaber. Shaber? Shaber. Shaber. apparently she cried after learning she'd be filming a Christmas movie inside Walt Disney World. I would too. I mean same. It's like Dream come true, literally. It's shot throughout Magic Kingdom in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and is expected during this Christmas twenty twenty six lineup. I followed Hallmark specifically for this movie. And I might Well You have YouTube TV. It's probably on there. We're we're still bumming off of that sometimes. I don't is it I don't remember. I go in and out of phases of watching Hallmark. just because like The Hallmark Christmas movies I've always loved. I'm now just reading those as books. Like it's the same kind of So I don't know. I just I'm like keeping track of ⁓ it's coming out for sure. I'm very excited about it. It's gonna be good one. ⁓ let's see. D23 is less than two weeks away. Okay. is exciting. So there's gonna be movie announcements, Disney Park updates, Marvel reveals, Pixar news, Disney Plus announcements. Possible Disney Cruise Line announcements. Okay, well, wait, when okay, so that's in two weeks, you said. Right? I got an email the other day. You're invited, Disney Cruise Line, you're invited to a special celebration of our new ship, the Disney Believe. Okay, so it's a s it's a special one-night only stage show. So if you're aboard the wish. If you happen to be aboard the Wish on October seventh which neither of us will be. no. ⁓ can you can you can watch the the you are not on the Disney Wish, you can tune in to the live stream on 7th. And then they give you a lovely little option to book now. But we knew the believe was coming. Yes. So that's But this is just a just a kind of a fun. It says well, Broadway Star Series performance. it says we'll feature Susan Egan. So that's exciting. Mm-hmm. each stateroom will also see receive a commemorative gift to mark the special occasion. Can just can we Hey Nick call it Call it recon, right? Like right. I mean, that's the point one of these days, right? Is that for the pod the pod ends up letting us do stuff like that? Yes. so Chad suggested a podcast prediction game, which I think that might be a fun little segment to do. I guess we'd either have we'd have to do it next week. Where we like predict one new Disney movie announcement, a park announcement, a Disney Plus surprise, and an announcement that definitely won't happen. So we might that in there next week. let's see, our Disney W Disney Plus watch list for August, the ninth Jedi, which if Star we're out. ⁓ X-Men ninety seven. I don't know. Did you know what I finally watched this weekend though? Friday. ⁓ did you? Why was I crying? It was cute. I was crying. I liked it. Yeah. It was a good one. Sorry, we have a child. who's who's not allowed camera. But no one wants to see my face. Well, children shouldn't be exposed to the internet at such young age. I'm not young. that gets caught. Okay, let's see. Disneyland's under some construction still. let's what they have. Especially coming up with their with the Halloween, you know, they a Halloween party, they the Oogie Boogie Bash, and then Christmas, they're a little, some people are like not too happy. But when we went February, we went. haunted mansion was being refurbished. Was being refurbished. Like we couldn't even ride it. Like it wasn't even just the actual front of it. We couldn't even correct ride it. Yes. I was super bummed. Yeah. So Indiana Jones is closing September 8th. Correct. Matterhorn Matterhorn reopened. Mansion every year closes for the nightmare before Christmas overlay. So it's going it closes ⁓ August eighth and will reopen August 21st. minor changes. I know. I actually don't see that much being closed. I feel like. there's several more, in our opinion, minor refurbishments. Main Street Cinemas, Rivers of America, The Sailing Ship, Columbia, and Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes will be closed. how years? Right. Silly Symphony Swings has been closed since late April. There's no opening date. The Frontierland Shoot Nick Exposition will be open September 11th. wanna make a bad joke, but don't know if that's the best day for an opening of a shooting game. ⁓ so yeah, I don't know. I mean, I feel like Disneyland's a little picky about their refurbishments and their closures. All right. Halloween party news. Okay. ⁓ biggest one is that we have three showings. No, was it showings? Was it BooToo or was it hold on. It was the same this the stage show. Stage show. Okay. Three showings of the stage show. hope there's one super late. It's midnight. yeah. That's gonna be great. Yeah. ⁓ So everything's back. The Cavador Dance, Trick-Retreat Trails Throughout Magic Kingdom, and Dance Parties. This year also features the return of Jack Captain Jack Sparrow in Adventureland and Stitches Alien Dance Party in Tomorrowland. Stitches Masquerade Mashup. Taking place at Rocket Tower Plaza in Tomorrowland in the brand new Stitches Masquerade Mashup. Sorry. So it's a you said it's a dance party. It's just a dance party. Stitch and his Ohana are on a mission to find the perfect Halloween look. After getting his paws on Lilo's costume trunk, every accessory he tries on will spark a theme swap and keep the party playfully unpredictable all night long. There's only one problem. There are too many great options. Engage in a high energy dance experience featuring interactive games and candy giveaways. Everyone's favorite interact intergalactic alien will bring mischief and fun to the exciting celebration, bursting with music, video and costumes galore. This the key difference is that this year it has more all ages appeal. So the Stitches Masquerade Mashup replaces the Zombeat's bash, which was Zombies Four. Okay. Yeah. I feel like we walked through it. I remember that, but we yeah, we just didn't really Okay. 'Cause I know exactly where it's at. Mm. I'm glad little Child is not here. Big Child is out is Not here. That's what I meant. With the Rocket Tower Plasma Stage gaining an all ages show, the destination's descendants party to Cosmic Ray Starlight Cafe. The spirited celebration with music and dance moves is inspired by the descendants movies. It's a wicked fun scene all night with hot tunes, vibrant lights, and iconic sights. This replaces last year's Disney Junior Jam. So now it doesn't feel like there's a lot of junior things. ⁓ Okay, in Adventureland, sail over to Captain Jack's Buccaneer Bash. so trick-or-treats along Captain Jack. He has come to recruit new crew members and teach them how to be pirates. That's fun. We're relieved to see that the expanded description of Captain Jack's Buccaneer Bash mentions a salty pirate band. Hmm. It is our hope that this pirate band and the new Captain Jack's Buccaneer Bash is the rusty cutlass. That would be a savvy way of combining two things to create something new. feel like We didn't do all that we could have done at the Halloween party. Well no. Which is why I'm glad we're going and like we're not doing anything but the Halloween party. I mean not. We're riding some like core rides though, right? Yeah, we're gonna ride the rides. But what do you mean? Like what the Well like we want we we're not gonna be getting up at seven AM to go rope drop holl ⁓ Hollywood Studios. You know, like we're not Nick, she said it on me. I'm so so sad we can't go in the scene. we're not, I don't know. Yeah, we're not gonna be going all day. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Okay, so we're gonna have villain treat trails. For the last two years at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party, Princess Fairy Tall Hall was not a meet and greet location. ⁓ So words. I'm reading. I know, ⁓ okay. So now we're gonna have a treat trail there with Maleficent and the Evil Queen. And where is it at again? Princess Fairy Tale Hall. Is that that's the behind the castle? Right behind the castle, yeah. Okay. Yeah. my brain could not process that. I'm sorry. I love the treat trail. So yeah, so we get a villain's treat trail, which that happens a lot at Oogie Boogie Bash. It just doesn't happen a lot at Mickey's not so scary. ⁓ we have a Mickey and meeting mini meeting together, which is cute. Someone doesn't like characters though. okay, but if that's all we're doing, like we can prioritize it. Right. ⁓ Jack Skellington is getting a new head. Who cares? Yep. So boo to you is going to be at 8:15. That's the parade. Mm-hmm. ⁓ So last year was 9:15 and 11:15. So people are saying it's good for young families, which is fair. Merchandise. Did you hear about the popcorn buckets? I know, I'm trying to get to those. Okay, well, I already know. some of them. I tried to like hold it in. Where's the popcorn bucket? I heard there's a one in the Pooh one. Yeah. I didn't see that one. Well, this one's ⁓ the horseman and the hat box ghost. Yeah. Which one would you rather want? Hatbox ghost. I'd rather want Headless Horseman Horseman. Yeah. The Hot Box Ghost is so cool though. Show everybody. Now that we can. ⁓ yeah, now that we can. ⁓ It's so cool. There you go. I don't know. I feel like it it's more practical, maybe. But I don't know. What popcorn bucket can you They're not actually practical but out of the two. it's a sipper. Pooh is a zipper. Which one? ⁓ okay. And it can only be found at the popcorn cart near Pinocchio Village House. If it's Pooh in his little Halloween outfit, I'll be getting a sipper and a popcorn bucket. I tell Jenna this yet, so she may find out on the pod. they old navy has some really cute they did a a Halloween collab with Disney and I was like, love this. I ordered her I ordered her dresses. Okay. And they are adorable. They're Mickey pumpkins ⁓ and they're orange and like gingham and I'm like my gosh. So anyway, those are coming to you, Jenna, eventually. Come on, Jenna. ⁓ Yeah, I could not. I couldn't not. And I was like, they had stuff for girls, but I was like, my girls don't, they won't wear it. Like, so I was just like, yeah. Lame. And I wanted, I almost bought ⁓ I almost bought a flannel with Mickey Pumpkins on it. It was super cute, but it was sold out. I was like, well, that's course. doing a lot of stuff with Old Navy. They a Fourth of July stuff too. ⁓ Alright, last piece of news. Have you seen this? This is the most disappointing news. And I don't know why they're doing it. They got new outfits, costumes. So, like, this was the cast costume. Everybody, if you're a Disney fan, you know the cast costume. Like, it's just, it's cute. It's quintessential quint quintessential. I don't know. We might have to get better at this part of the podcast. I might have to like actually edit. Yeah. And now there's not even an apron. Yeah. yeah. Like it's why they change it? I couldn't tell you. It's no fun. I don't know. ⁓ Couldn't tell you. fun. No fun. Well, that's all of our news. So Dreamlight Valley updates? Yeah. Okay. We got Ralph. Yes, we did. Have you unlocked him? ⁓ yeah. Okay. Have you? Well, yes, but it took me several days because I'm a weirdo and I focused on my new exhibitions first. we got new exhibitions. Yeah. So I didn't even notice. That's what that question was. I was like, no, I don't care about the exhibitions. I haven't finished. Only finished the one. Exhibitions or expeditions? I don't know. exhibitions. they up Frosted Heights ⁓ and Sunlit Okay. So the only one left out of the regular Valley biomes is Forgotten Lands. So I guess we'll get that one, I don't know, probably in October. Yeah. Maybe. With the big update drop. Yeah, they didn't release it took ⁓ a couple updates to release new or whatever. so I did that. Okay. The companion house for Frosted Heights is the cutest thing I've ever seen. I'm just saying. So ⁓ we companion houses for when we finish? Yes. Okay. I've only probably finished the first one and don't care about doing it because it's annoying. Well, like, okay, some of them are kind of weird and dumb, but like when you finish the when you put all the fish in or whatever, gives you an aquarium. And you can put it in your house. Okay. And the aquarium's like giant. Like takes up a whole wall. Like I have it in my house somewhere, but I can't I don't remember what floor it would take me forever to find it. ⁓ so that's pretty cool. And then the companion houses are cool. I don't know. I haven't actually set one out in the valley. So I don't know if like You set it there. I think you set it there and then you can You have to assign up to five, I think, in each house. but it's so cute. It's like red, it's like ⁓ there's like pine trees covered in snow and like lights right so it looks all Christmassy and it's just really cute. Anyway. so yeah, I did that first before I unlocked Growl. Cool. But do you It was a lot to kind of unlock. Okay, I was gonna ask, 'cause For me, it wasn't like yes and no. I guess I don't know why I was thinking he would get a realm, but we already have Vanelpie and she didn't have a realm. Yeah, so like make a realm for Ralph and then they can have adventures together in the I don't know. I was just kinda like, ⁓ that was it. Yeah. but yeah, we had to what do we do? We had to like His glitch. We had to go find his glitch and talk to the glitchy thingy and we had to go to the the what do they call that? The tree. It's the tree house thingy and where you go to the different ⁓ Realms Yeah. Anyway. obviously we're experts. I really to start taking better notes. And then we ended up in Venelpiece's house. Uhhuh. And then we had to do the token thing. Uhhuh. And then we had him. Yes. Yeah. I don't play with my volume on. What does he sound like? mean he's He's had like Ralph. Okay. You know? Yeah. He doesn't annoy me like Penelope does, that's for sure. Voiceover actress. let's see what el I the we got a lot of quality of life updates. We did. And I was surprised because I didn't I don't I guess I was have you under a rock. I didn't know that. You played along with the best friend stuff yet? Yes. I haven't. Okay. Tell me. So best friends, it's the it's the yellow heart above your level ten right villagers. I know that. You can I'm explaining for everyone. Okay. But you're explaining it to me. ⁓ so like right now, if I were to I were to give Joy like her her gifts of the day, right? Her favorite things. It would eventually get to, it would fill the bar up. Uh-huh. it's like, it starts to like glow. she, you can ⁓ fast no matter what. So you don't have to refill up ⁓ on as much. Like while it's active. She will give you like if her like She's mining for me her ability. But she will if you're fishing, she'll give you extra fish. If you're foraging, she'll give you extra yes. Okay. So it is very helpful. I the other day I had can't remember who it was. Doesn't really matter. But I had a I have I had a best friend activated or whatever. And I like, Well, I need some ⁓ more vitalis Mm-hmm. I a ⁓ pickaxe pickaxe potion, whatever. I went I equipped it, went in there with them, and ended with like over 300. Like it was insane the amount I was getting. So like it definitely helps ⁓ gameplay collecting Yeah. Yeah. so that to me is the coolest. I will say though, it parts of it. To me, it seems like they're making it almost too easy. I guess maybe because well like we've been playing for a while. So if someone picks up this game tomorrow and they want to like catch up. Right. Yeah. It would be very helpful, yes. But for me, I'm like, well, I already, you know, I don't know. I don't talk to my level ten people. I still have too many not level ten people. So I also feel like they're leveling up faster. It does. It feels like we get to I get s can get to level seven and then it takes me a minute. Well, I mean I felt like that for a while, but I even I leveled up Pooh. Like I was I mean, I guess I hung out with him a more than I thought. But Pooh, I liked Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet story because it felt like you had to be with like you were leveling them up as you were completing the storybook quest because you had to. Mm-hmm. So maybe that's why. Yeah. I don't know. But yeah, I mean I looked back at my thing and he was a level to I like, ⁓ okay. let's see what else. There's ⁓ have done the furniture preset? Yes. I don't understand the point. I don't If you understand the point. Like below? I do, but I we're not big decorators. I mean I well yeah, you are either but I haven't decorated but I don't decorate like that. Like I don't not your decorator has to put like all the foliage out. I just want it to look like a town. Yeah. So maybe that's it's for like the super like picky decorators who want the little for the people that are getting like twelve thousand bushes everywhere. I don't know. I just yeah, it's that was not for me. Like I was like, cool, I'll probably never use it again. And I was kind of annoyed that they made me go through it. Yeah. I was like, I don't care about this. what else? Maybe maybe I'll watch a video on it, try to understand it better. you can ⁓ ask villager once a day, one villager a day to help find something. Right. ⁓ And what's point? Well, again, for people just starting out, it's probably pretty helpful. okay. So I sh cause I asked Rapunzel one time because I was confused. What is she what is she what's her billet time? Time bending. Okay, so she got you like a little heart or a car or whatever. I was just doing it. Yeah. That one wasn't really explained. Yeah. So if you So if I like asked, can I ask does it do they have to be level ten? Can I ask Pooh? And will poo rookie something and give me That's a good question. ⁓ see if I can find Ralph really quick. Stuff? It's probably level ten. Okay. Would be my guess. Okay. But yeah, you can so like I went so Scrooge is I have Scrooge for fishing. ⁓ And I asked him for a fugu because they're really rare. Right. I mean, I have a lot of them, but they're still pretty hard to find. Okay. So he was able to I think depending on what it is, they can find more of them. Okay. But he found he was able to give me one. So if I need if I'm trying to like ⁓ all the still working in ⁓ Glow not Honey Glow Woods, the what's the other DLC we just got? Not just got. Wish Blossom Ranch. I'm trying to open up those things in Pixie Hollow that are like those free build thingies. I forget what they're actually called. ⁓ yeah. So like I could ask for the resources. Like I think I need flowers or something or ⁓ know. That's a good question too, because I don't I haven't been over in another DLC. Can I play? I haven't been in another DLC to ⁓ that out. Okay. Yeah. But to answer your question, no. You can so they have to be at level 10. To help you ⁓ things. So it doesn't help you level up people. No. Okay. And you have to come back the next day too. Yes. I know that. Yep. What else was gonna say? the best friend thing. Mm-hmm. So like ⁓ started with vanelope earlier. Mm-hmm. But you can see, look, she's still like got the yellow. Okay. So it doesn't time out. How many yellows can you have in one day? I think unlimited. Okay. I don't know. I haven't tried that either. Okay. I don't think I've tried that either. I've just done one. but it lasts for a while too. I mean I it depends on like how much you do with them. Okay. And you know, like if you're fishing a bunch, then it's gonna go down pretty quick. But yeah. what else? else? I feel like some of these ⁓ What do you how do you feel about the star path so far? I mean, I haven't I don't know if I've really paid attention. I haven't been on that much. Okay. To pay attention to it all that much. Well, I really like the have you seen the rewards? got a bunch of good ones, I feel like. Noelle, you okay back there? Don't Laura's talk. She's part of the she's part of the pod. like they've got like four-town clothes, which I think is fun. They've got they added a lot of big like furniture pieces. Like we've got the bus stop. ⁓ we get San Francisco archway. furniture. I spent all of her dream her moonstones in the shop ⁓ Wednesday. For what? They had Main Street USA. ⁓ yeah, I saw that. I was like, ⁓ yeah, I want that real bad. How much is that? It's like It's like four thousand. Yeah. I kinda want that too. Ma'am. and they keep releasing these seasonal bundles and I'm like, I don't there's so much. I know. Yeah, four thousand. You're right. Yeah. But that's it's four buildings and I think yeah. They're individual buildings that you can put together. Yeah. I know I need to find the best and I might do a floating island. I really I've only unlocked floating island. I haven't unlocked all of them. But I might unlock another floating island just to make a park. That'd be cool. Island. Yeah. 'Cause I have a lot of this stuff. I feel like I'd wanna see it more though. I know, but I don't know where to put it. No no no. Although, okay, so any ideas of where to put my park I my park stuff, let me know, please. I would put it in the main, like in the plaza. I tried to do the plaza, there's not enough space. Unless I can't do it right. And then I tried peaceful meadow. I'm thinking Forest of Valor might be my next try, but I have all my princesses set up over there and I like it. So it's gonna Decisions, decisions. It's gonna be a lot of yeah, decisions I have to make. if you decide on a floating island, you have two more to choose from now because if you have the if you the ⁓ what is from? Where is ever okay. if you have the DLC's storybook ⁓ my gosh, why can't Eternity Isle or are both storybook. Never mind. Wait. What is Ever After from? Storybook. Okay. So they're both storybooks. Okay. They ⁓ they added two new floating. They added Mythopia. Okay. ⁓ and Ever After. Okay. Someone told me the five thousand Dreamlight each. I don't have a lot of Dreamlight. Why? I don't know. Cause I use it? Girl. Why do I how do I get more? Doing more tasks. just want to decorate. what else did we get? I feel like there's probably quality of life improvements I'm missing. I'm sure. I don't know. I've been I feel like I'm pretty far in the star path already. But I some of them are kind of annoying. Like they're all kind of annoying. Well, but like well, okay, so remember how they made us unlock Hercules? They did that with Ralph again. they want you to take a photo with a particular reward ⁓ ⁓ star path. So you have to ⁓ it to take it. And I was like Yeah, kind of yummy. they're to get you to play the play the ⁓ extras, Like they don't want you to just sit there and decorate. Like if like if you wanna get all the stuff they're making you do it to get it. Does that make sense? I guess so. Yeah. I mean they're also like they're making you cook a lot. And I'm trying to figure out like more than I ever have for a star bath. I'm just wondering why. So I have like all these meals that I mean I'm I'll use them. Yeah. If I well, if if they're more if they like their energy? Yeah, if their energy is not worth what like I wanna explain it. if they're if they're gonna sell for like a pretty decent amount and their energy doesn't make sense, then I sell it. Mm-hmm. Trying to think of one in particular that I felt that way about. See what else. also I so like I feel like everybody probably has a go to like meal that they didn't make the berry salad for I make the berry salad for my energy and I make The pumpkin no, the grilled veggies with two pumpkins and a cabbage for money. Okay. Well, for a while I was doing the mochas. I don't I don't know. They've they filled up my bar pretty well. But now they don't. So I have to like think about well 'cause you you can increase your ⁓ yeah. Your They're gonna fill mine up if I'm Berry salad, if I hit the blue, I normally 'cause I just like to speed travel everywhere. So once I hit the blue and I eat a berry salad, it'll give like three fourths of the way. Yellow. Yeah, I feel like the I feel the mocha is a little bit more than half. So Okay. If anyone has a a better recipe now that they've like upgraded their ⁓ the way to level fifty. Right. Then let us know. Because I would rather just I like I like to if can just eat one, you know, and then And I'm good for a while. Yeah. Yeah. What is your best ⁓ what is best food for Dreamlight Valley energy? Yeah. I feel like the ⁓ The what was it? Arundelian pickled bearing. I make that one a lot. I don't know why. That one's pretty good. Just don't like eating it for some reason. I don't know. I'm weird.
