- 2:15Speaker 3: Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, everybody, Welcome to another episode of
- 2:19Speaker 3: Bad to Business. I am your host, Shining Saffron. Thank
- 2:22Speaker 3: you for joining me this evening, on this fabulous Friday.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I hope everybody had a great Friday. Thank God it's
- 2:29Speaker 3: Friday for most of us. I went to work today
- 2:33Speaker 3: as most of us did, so hope y'all glad to
- 2:35Speaker 3: be at home chilling out.
- 2:37Speaker 4: I am. I just want to.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Tell y'all how glad I am that things are moving along.
- 2:47Speaker 3: As you can see, I am celebrating the month of March,
- 2:52Speaker 3: the luck of the Irish already early. I am part Irish,
- 2:55Speaker 3: so I am celebrating Saint Patrick's Day. I cannot wait
- 2:59Speaker 3: to get some luck going on in my life too,
- 3:03Speaker 3: getting ready to go, get my dinner ready, my corn
- 3:06Speaker 3: beef and cabbage and read potatoes and corn bread, and
- 3:09Speaker 3: I cannot wait for all that to be going on.
- 3:12Speaker 3: So you know, Spring's coming in. I hope everybody's feeling good.
- 3:18Speaker 4: I am.
- 3:19Speaker 3: I am. I'm ready to new beginning, ready for new beginnings.
- 3:22Speaker 3: It's a lot of things I'm looking forward to and
- 3:26Speaker 3: trying to engage in. So again, y'all stick with me.
- 3:31Speaker 3: This is this year is just flying by. Noticing that
- 3:36Speaker 3: we can go from happy New Year to marry Christmas
- 3:39Speaker 3: after a couple of naps. So try to embrace the
- 3:43Speaker 3: time you have. Like I said, loved on your loved ones.
- 3:47Speaker 3: February just kind of flew by me. But I really
- 3:50Speaker 3: wanted to kind of touch on some things that you
- 3:55Speaker 3: know happened for our short Black History Month if you've
- 3:59Speaker 3: been following me, I was able to really touch on things.
- 4:01Speaker 3: A lot of things happened with me in February.
- 4:03Speaker 4: I had to.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Lay to rest my dad. But that all those things
- 4:09Speaker 3: and emotions and things have settled. So God is still
- 4:13Speaker 3: working and working with me and working through me and
- 4:16Speaker 3: in me. So I'm glad about that. But you know,
- 4:22Speaker 3: one thing I wanted to touch on is how fast
- 4:25Speaker 3: one the years do go by, the time does fly by,
- 4:28Speaker 3: But two, how fast Black History Month flies by. We
- 4:33Speaker 3: do only have a short amount of time, the shortest
- 4:36Speaker 3: amount of days, and we know that. But what I
- 4:38Speaker 3: had decided, and I know a lot of people had
- 4:41Speaker 3: decided that Black History Month is not a limitation. It
- 4:46Speaker 3: shouldn't be a limitation. So we want to kind of
- 4:49Speaker 3: touch on some points every month or every day if
- 4:52Speaker 3: we can. Part of the culture is diminishing because we
- 4:55Speaker 3: are not talking to our children and keeping up stories
- 4:58Speaker 3: and keeping up cultures and keeping up things that we've
- 5:02Speaker 3: learned and traditions we've learned that good traditions that we're
- 5:05Speaker 3: supposed to pass down. So I just want to make
- 5:09Speaker 3: sure that we are able to kind of reconnect on
- 5:12Speaker 3: stuff like that. I've been able to catch up on
- 5:15Speaker 3: some things. Like I said, I didn't get able to
- 5:17Speaker 3: do it during the month of February, but this is
- 5:21Speaker 3: the month of March, and I'm gonna recap on it,
- 5:25Speaker 3: and I'm happy to do that.
- 5:27Speaker 2: This is.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Something I want to call giving you a little bit.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Of BP, which is Black Entertainment Podcasting. Okay, So there's
- 5:41Speaker 3: some things going on in our news and our culture,
- 5:44Speaker 3: and I think that we should support and we should
- 5:48Speaker 3: get acclimated with doing so, Like I said, more often, So.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Let's get down to business.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I know there's a lot of things going on in
- 5:56Speaker 3: the news a lot of us don't like to watch news,
- 5:59Speaker 3: but all news.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Is not bad news.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Again, let's bring some bad to business. Just like they
- 6:08Speaker 3: say there's some method to the madness, there's some business
- 6:10Speaker 3: in the BS. So don't let them confuse you and
- 6:14Speaker 3: distract you with a whole lot of BS. Kind of
- 6:17Speaker 3: listen to what's going on and grasp what you can.
- 6:21Speaker 3: So some things I wanted to talk about. Is one
- 6:24Speaker 3: thing that hit the news that was interesting to me
- 6:26Speaker 3: is there is a young man looking to acquire Spirit Airlines.
- 6:32Speaker 3: His name is Hashim Walters. I hope I'm saying his
- 6:36Speaker 3: name right. He has launched a kind of business that will,
- 6:45Speaker 3: if you will, create more businesses. And let me read
- 6:51Speaker 3: an article to you, if you will hold on just
- 6:54Speaker 3: a moment, I want y'all to really think about this.
- 6:58Speaker 4: This is a twenty nine year old.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Twenty nine year old just formed a ownership group to
- 7:04Speaker 3: buy and turn Spirit Airlines into a into the first
- 7:08Speaker 3: only black airline, only black owned airline in the US.
- 7:14Speaker 3: And I was reading about that, and I thought that
- 7:17Speaker 3: was very interesting because I didn't know that there were
- 7:23Speaker 3: no black owned airlines. Again, during Black History Month, we
- 7:28Speaker 3: are taught some things, but not all things, and there's
- 7:32Speaker 3: a lot of things that our culture has created and
- 7:34Speaker 3: done first that we don't get credit for. But in
- 7:39Speaker 3: this I learned that it says in an unpreceded unpreceded
- 7:45Speaker 3: to excuse me, moved to reshape America's economic land shape.
- 7:50Speaker 3: This twenty nine year old entrepreneur has Sham Walters has
- 7:53Speaker 3: officially launched the Vladimir Group and ownership cons Since excuse Me,
- 8:00Speaker 3: Sensatura focused on acquiring Spirit Airlines and economic brand facing
- 8:09Speaker 3: critical financial distress. The mission of this Vladimir Group is
- 8:12Speaker 3: to empower black economic leaders, creating the only black owned
- 8:18Speaker 3: commercial airline in the United States. Now that is in
- 8:22Speaker 3: the United States. I do know that there's some airlines
- 8:24Speaker 3: in other countries as Africa and stuff like that, so
- 8:28Speaker 3: that's still pretty good, and I wanted to touch on
- 8:31Speaker 3: that because that is something that we should support.
- 8:35Speaker 4: He has not been approved for it yet.
- 8:37Speaker 3: I do remember that Spirit Airlines in Frontier Airlines were
- 8:41Speaker 3: going to try to do some business and something didn't happen.
- 8:44Speaker 3: But for this to open up for this young man,
- 8:47Speaker 3: I think that that's a great opportunity.
- 8:49Speaker 4: So he does.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Offer contact and I would like for us to support him,
- 8:55Speaker 3: reach out to him, and you know, let's do whatever
- 8:59Speaker 3: we can to support that type of culture and upbringing.
- 9:03Speaker 3: One thing I wanted to point out is that right
- 9:07Speaker 3: now travel is really bad. It's getting harder. One of
- 9:12Speaker 3: the favorite airlines that I like to travel on are
- 9:15Speaker 3: starting to do things a little bit different. And so
- 9:19Speaker 3: with him coming out with this, I'd like to not
- 9:21Speaker 3: only support him, but let him know what it is
- 9:23Speaker 3: I'm supporting. Just like when you're picking a government official,
- 9:28Speaker 3: you kind of want to let them know what it
- 9:30Speaker 3: is that you are voting for.
- 9:32Speaker 4: So he does have a contact, I want to give
- 9:35Speaker 4: that to you.
- 9:36Speaker 3: It is has Shim Walters h A S h I M.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Walters at w A l t e r s at
- 9:46Speaker 3: the Latimir l A t I M e r dot group.
- 9:52Speaker 3: I encourage us to, like I said, reach out to him,
- 9:55Speaker 3: offer some suggestions, support him. See what it is we
- 9:58Speaker 3: can do to actually get him through to getting this,
- 10:02Speaker 3: not just acquiring it, not just them thinking about it
- 10:05Speaker 3: and sitting on it, but what can we do for
- 10:07Speaker 3: him to actually get that.
- 10:10Speaker 4: So offer him suggestions. Like I said, a lot of
- 10:13Speaker 4: us have traveled and we know that what it is.
- 10:16Speaker 4: We want to do and want to deal with, not
- 10:19Speaker 4: want to deal with.
- 10:19Speaker 3: So let's support that young man at twenty nine years
- 10:23Speaker 3: old owning the first black airlines.
- 10:25Speaker 4: I think that's pretty cool.
- 10:27Speaker 3: And with the suggestions that you're offering, let's be realistic
- 10:31Speaker 3: about some stuff. Let's not turn this into, you know,
- 10:34Speaker 3: the next soul plane, so to speak. But let's make
- 10:38Speaker 3: this airline something that is memorable, something that we can
- 10:41Speaker 3: support and actually invest in some of us. So that
- 10:46Speaker 3: would be great.
- 10:48Speaker 4: That's cool.
- 10:48Speaker 3: So Hasham Walters, I wish you the best of luck
- 10:50Speaker 3: and I hope we can all do something for you
- 10:52Speaker 3: with that. Okay, moving on, I want to talk about
- 10:56Speaker 3: this young man who has just become the CEO of
- 11:00Speaker 3: Red Lobster. There, Red Lobster is now trying to revamp themselves.
- 11:04Speaker 3: A lot of us love Red Lobster still. I know
- 11:07Speaker 3: they've fallen off the map with all these new seafood places,
- 11:11Speaker 3: but Red Lobster is still a household name.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Let's not forget them.
- 11:14Speaker 3: They have some of the best deals and as long
- 11:16Speaker 3: as they don't stop there in the shrimp and Lobster fest.
- 11:19Speaker 4: We gonna love them. So.
- 11:21Speaker 3: But this young man, his name is a Domola Adam
- 11:26Speaker 3: Adam Mullikan. I hope I'm not saying that incorrectly. If
- 11:30Speaker 3: I am, somebody tap in, call in, let me know.
- 11:34Speaker 3: But I'm very proud of this. This is the new
- 11:40Speaker 3: acquired CEO of Red Lobster. He used to be the
- 11:45Speaker 3: He is the former CEO, the first black former CEO
- 11:49Speaker 3: of PF Chains, and I read a little bit about
- 11:51Speaker 3: this young man. He is in his thirties and he
- 11:58Speaker 3: what he did for PF Chains is was remarkable. He
- 12:01Speaker 3: was able to bring them through the pandemic, which we
- 12:04Speaker 3: know was very hard for restaurants. But PF Chains, which
- 12:09Speaker 3: shout out to PF Chains, I was able to dabble
- 12:12Speaker 3: in some of their or dervs and some of they're sangree.
- 12:15Speaker 3: That's some of the best aangry I ever had because
- 12:17Speaker 3: it didn't leave your mouth all better. So again shout
- 12:19Speaker 3: out to PF Chains and Morgan for that meal when
- 12:22Speaker 3: I went out to California. So, but he was able
- 12:24Speaker 3: to bring them out of that and not have them
- 12:27Speaker 3: suffer through the pandemic and lose out. PF Chains is
- 12:30Speaker 3: a very good restaurant, so for him to go from that,
- 12:34Speaker 3: he's now gotten accreditation and with his firm, who has
- 12:39Speaker 3: now acquired Red Lobster, so he's going to be doing
- 12:42Speaker 3: some different things, and Red Lobster is still going to
- 12:44Speaker 3: keep his name and do some of the things. But
- 12:47Speaker 3: I still think it's important for us to support him.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Still reach out again, everything that we're doing for each other,
- 12:53Speaker 3: for the culture, for any culture, for any cause, you
- 12:56Speaker 3: want to reach out and tell them what it is
- 12:58Speaker 3: that you're supporting, tell him what it is that you
- 13:00Speaker 3: need out of these things. So I really want to,
- 13:05Speaker 3: you know, give homage to him for that. I'm going
- 13:08Speaker 3: to read an article about him as well, because it
- 13:11Speaker 3: was very interesting that he excuse me, fine him.
- 13:23Speaker 4: There we go.
- 13:25Speaker 3: One of the things that he said that let me
- 13:27Speaker 3: know that he's very business minded, and I quote, I
- 13:31Speaker 3: always found business interesting even when I was young.
- 13:34Speaker 4: It captivated me intellectually.
- 13:37Speaker 3: I started working when I was in high school and
- 13:39Speaker 3: invested in everything I made. I opened up my first
- 13:43Speaker 3: stock portfolio when I was sixteen. And what amazed me
- 13:48Speaker 3: end quote. What amazed me about that is that that's
- 13:50Speaker 3: what you call good business man. They're not talking about
- 13:53Speaker 3: people who, you know, how they inherited a business or
- 13:57Speaker 3: inherited some money and tried to build off of that
- 14:00Speaker 3: or inherited some ideas. This young man went at it
- 14:03Speaker 3: when he was very young and apparently has proven himself
- 14:06Speaker 3: very well, so again I want to support him. His
- 14:09Speaker 3: name is Domola Adam adam Ullakan Adam Ullikan. Like like
- 14:16Speaker 3: I said, if I'm saying it wrong and somebody knows better,
- 14:18Speaker 3: let me know. But that's awesome. Pf Chains. I don't
- 14:24Speaker 3: call it your loss because you were again and was
- 14:27Speaker 3: able to move this young man on. So Red Lobster,
- 14:30Speaker 3: I look forward to the new things that you're doing.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Don't get rid of those lobster fests, shrimp fest and
- 14:36Speaker 3: you know those butter baby biscuits were good. Moving on,
- 14:42Speaker 3: Another person I wanted to talk about in black culture
- 14:47Speaker 3: is a young lady called Dorothy Jeane Tillman. I just
- 14:53Speaker 3: heard about this young lady recently, but she's been working
- 14:57Speaker 3: her butt off.
- 15:00Speaker 4: Worthy.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Jene Tillman earned her doctorate at seventeen years old last year.
- 15:08Speaker 3: She started very young, I believe it said she decided
- 15:14Speaker 3: she wanted to go on a higher learning at about
- 15:16Speaker 3: ten years old and learned and earned her associate's degree
- 15:21Speaker 3: at ten years old. When after her bachelor's earned that
- 15:24Speaker 3: in at twelve years old. I'm sorry and just kept going.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I actually have an article about her as well.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Excuse me again.
- 15:43Speaker 3: This is really just about supporting the culture and making
- 15:46Speaker 3: sure that we don't forget to tell our kids that
- 15:50Speaker 3: things like this are possible, owning a black the first
- 15:53Speaker 3: Black airline, being a CEO of a company, or a
- 15:58Speaker 3: restaurant that is is a household name. Earning your doctorate
- 16:03Speaker 3: at seventeen years old, she said something that was very interesting.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Excuse me, I really have to find this.
- 16:17Speaker 4: There we go.
- 16:20Speaker 3: She said, my experience was inclusive and supportive of my accessors.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Access to my instructors was always at the top, at
- 16:34Speaker 3: the tip of my fingers. The standard of learning was
- 16:38Speaker 3: innovative and provided context for making a global impact on humanity.
- 16:46Speaker 4: I really liked the.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Fact that she said access to her accessors and the
- 16:51Speaker 3: people that she needed was at her fingertips. I don't
- 16:55Speaker 3: think that that's what's going to our schools today and
- 16:57Speaker 3: for our young people. I was able to meet with
- 17:00Speaker 3: a counselor at my daughter's school one day and he
- 17:05Speaker 3: said something that was interesting, and he said, you know,
- 17:07Speaker 3: at this point, it's kind of like we're hiring anybody
- 17:12Speaker 3: with a breath, so to speak. I don't want to
- 17:14Speaker 3: quote him, but anybody who's breathing. And that kind of
- 17:19Speaker 3: scares me because if you don't have the right people
- 17:22Speaker 3: at my daughter's fingertips for her to be successful, then
- 17:28Speaker 3: I can't count on her being successful where she is.
- 17:32Speaker 3: I remember my Auntie shared something with me. She's a
- 17:35Speaker 3: substitute teacher, and she said that one thing that she
- 17:41Speaker 3: could kind of tell is that teachers concentrate more on
- 17:45Speaker 3: students that had their parents more involved. She said, it's
- 17:50Speaker 3: not really a prejudice or anything against any of the
- 17:53Speaker 3: other kids, but a parent who can call regularly and
- 17:56Speaker 3: check up regularly kind of keeps the teacher focused on
- 17:59Speaker 3: that child too. Again, that teacher being at that child's
- 18:02Speaker 3: fingertips is being accessible is very important.
- 18:06Speaker 4: So make sure you're following up on what's going on.
- 18:09Speaker 3: If this young lady at seventeen still had access to everything,
- 18:14Speaker 3: our children we do have access to the libraries, the teachers,
- 18:18Speaker 3: the schools, ptas. Get yourself involved with what's going on
- 18:22Speaker 3: in your kids' lives and what's going on, and they
- 18:25Speaker 3: can do things like that too. I'm very proud of
- 18:28Speaker 3: that young lady. But again, we can do it in
- 18:31Speaker 3: our smaller communities too. Let's celebrate people like her again.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Her name is Dorothy Jene Tillman. Remember her name too.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Let's continue to tell our children and our community about
- 18:47Speaker 3: things that aren't being made mainstream, all these distractions and
- 18:50Speaker 3: stuff from what's going on during our Black History Month.
- 18:54Speaker 4: This is our history.
- 18:55Speaker 3: And while they're erasing some histories that they don't want
- 18:58Speaker 3: us to remember, we got to keep some things live.
- 19:00Speaker 4: So I hope y'all get into that.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Moving on, something I found interesting in the news and
- 19:10Speaker 3: quite scary is they say that they found some lead
- 19:15Speaker 3: in some braiding hair. I'm sure some of y'all have
- 19:18Speaker 3: heard about this. I'm very bothered by this. We have
- 19:27Speaker 3: found solutions to wearing our natural hair. Braids are one
- 19:33Speaker 3: of them, and I kind of looked into this. They
- 19:36Speaker 3: cannot be specific in what brand of hair has it,
- 19:43Speaker 3: but I want you to be aware of this. My
- 19:45Speaker 3: daughters themselves wear natural hair. I've never had a chemical
- 19:48Speaker 3: in their head. I got a going on sixteen year
- 19:50Speaker 3: old and going on thirteen year old, and I've never
- 19:53Speaker 3: put a chemical in their hair. And they don't have
- 19:55Speaker 3: the most manageable hair, but we make it at work,
- 20:01Speaker 3: and I just feel better about that. So being able
- 20:04Speaker 3: to braid their hair and put different styles and stuff
- 20:07Speaker 3: like that that they like and do different things worked
- 20:10Speaker 3: for us.
- 20:11Speaker 4: So now to find out that.
- 20:14Speaker 3: They're finding a chemical in their hair or in the
- 20:18Speaker 3: braiding hair and they can't detect exactly which ones is
- 20:23Speaker 3: kind of bothersome. And I just want you guys to
- 20:25Speaker 3: be aware. And while they can't tell us which ones,
- 20:29Speaker 3: there are certain things that we can do. I don't
- 20:31Speaker 3: want you guys to just don't. Don't turn the blind
- 20:33Speaker 3: eye to this, and like, it's not anything. We are
- 20:37Speaker 3: putting lead based things in our head. We're not supposed
- 20:41Speaker 3: to breathe them. But yet if we're putting it in
- 20:42Speaker 3: our head, we're sleeping with them, we're breathing them where,
- 20:45Speaker 3: you know, hugging people, it's in our clothes. This is
- 20:48Speaker 3: not something to be taken lightly. I did find out
- 20:51Speaker 3: that you can buy lead kids, you know, to try
- 20:55Speaker 3: to test it. You can buy them at home, deepot
- 20:57Speaker 3: and stuff like that. They're little bottles, little swab and
- 21:00Speaker 3: stuff like that, same way you swap your nose to
- 21:02Speaker 3: test for diseases.
- 21:04Speaker 4: That I won't talk about so we don't get in trouble.
- 21:08Speaker 3: The same way you swab for diseases or viruses, it's
- 21:11Speaker 3: the same way you would swab some hair. I don't
- 21:13Speaker 3: know again if it's that important to you, but if
- 21:15Speaker 3: you keep a little bottle in the hair that you buy,
- 21:18Speaker 3: you can swab a little bit and see if it
- 21:19Speaker 3: turns the color that it's not supposed to turn, and
- 21:22Speaker 3: that bottle should last you a long time. So, just
- 21:25Speaker 3: like I said, something that I wanted to make everybody
- 21:28Speaker 3: aware of because we don't want to be killing ourselves
- 21:33Speaker 3: softly or intentionally. I don't know who's putting lead in
- 21:38Speaker 3: this hair, but it seems like they'll find one way
- 21:42Speaker 3: or another to do what they want to do. So again,
- 21:47Speaker 3: just wanted to make y'all aware. And that's kind of
- 21:51Speaker 3: what I wanted to wrap up as far as who
- 21:54Speaker 3: we were celebrating this Black History part. I don't even
- 21:59Speaker 3: want to call it a month because I I believe
- 22:01Speaker 3: that on my next show, like I said, keep following me,
- 22:04Speaker 3: I'm gonna come up with something else. There's a lot
- 22:06Speaker 3: of things going on in the news. I'm not gonna
- 22:08Speaker 3: talk about politics today. It's so much going on, and
- 22:12Speaker 3: a lot of news that I'm gathering. I'm letting some
- 22:15Speaker 3: people cook see what's going on, and we'll serve what's
- 22:19Speaker 3: at the dinner table or the business table. I'll say
- 22:22Speaker 3: on the next show, But before I go, it's something
- 22:27Speaker 3: that I wanted to share with you all if you've
- 22:31Speaker 3: been tuning in. My first show, like I said, it
- 22:34Speaker 3: was called Show Me Love. It was a show that
- 22:37Speaker 3: I did right after my dad's passing, and it was
- 22:43Speaker 3: a little hard for me to kind of stay focused.
- 22:45Speaker 3: But with God, anything as possible, and he, you know,
- 22:54Speaker 3: I was sharing with I'm sorry my first show, I
- 22:58Speaker 3: got through that. My second show, I was coming back
- 23:01Speaker 3: from my dad's homecoming and sharing and sharing with you
- 23:05Speaker 3: all how my experience was and things that were going good.
- 23:10Speaker 3: And one thing I was sharing was how I asked God,
- 23:13Speaker 3: what is to happen?
- 23:14Speaker 4: Now?
- 23:15Speaker 3: I've been seeking him. I've been praying, prayer and seeking
- 23:19Speaker 3: Him have become a big part of my life. I
- 23:24Speaker 3: not not that I hadn't done it before, but now
- 23:27Speaker 3: it's so natural and necessary that it is. Really it
- 23:35Speaker 3: just feels great. So but when I was asking him before,
- 23:39Speaker 3: I asked him God, what am I doing now?
- 23:41Speaker 4: You know, there's a lot of things going on.
- 23:43Speaker 3: I didn't expect on my dad passing in the midst
- 23:47Speaker 3: of podcasting and things going on in my job with
- 23:50Speaker 3: my kids.
- 23:51Speaker 4: You know, what is it that you would have me do? Now?
- 23:53Speaker 3: And what he told me was again, if y'all been following,
- 23:57Speaker 3: go show up and again, and I'm questioning, go where?
- 24:02Speaker 4: Show up for who? He said?
- 24:04Speaker 3: What he said, go and show up. So what I
- 24:06Speaker 3: did was I tried to expand my mind. Where can
- 24:10Speaker 3: I go and show up for anybody?
- 24:13Speaker 4: So I did that.
- 24:16Speaker 3: I don't post everything I do, but there's been opportunities
- 24:19Speaker 3: I've been given and I will be posting some things.
- 24:23Speaker 3: It's been a great other side of the fence. But
- 24:29Speaker 3: so I've been going and showing up everywhere I can,
- 24:31Speaker 3: from my friends, from my family, for opportunities doors that
- 24:36Speaker 3: have opened. And so recently here I've been praying, still
- 24:42Speaker 3: seeking God, wanting to know what it is he would
- 24:46Speaker 3: have me do.
- 24:47Speaker 4: And recently I asked again.
- 24:50Speaker 3: I felt like it was necessary to revisit the conversation,
- 24:54Speaker 3: and I said, God, I've been going and I've been
- 24:56Speaker 3: showing up. You know, I still don't really see anything,
- 25:00Speaker 3: but I know it's still your plan. And I just
- 25:02Speaker 3: want you to know I'm still going and I'm still
- 25:03Speaker 3: showing up, you know, kind of waiting on that big
- 25:08Speaker 3: thing to happen. And you know, God knows your heart,
- 25:12Speaker 3: he knows what you're asking or trying not to ask.
- 25:15Speaker 3: And the message that I heard loud and clear, just
- 25:19Speaker 3: like I heard go and show up, is I heard
- 25:24Speaker 3: God say that he needed me to be a bridge,
- 25:29Speaker 3: not a bench. And I kind of pondered on that. Again,
- 25:34Speaker 3: I'm not asking God nothing. He said it very clearly,
- 25:39Speaker 3: I need you to be a bridge, not a bench.
- 25:43Speaker 3: And while I sat there and tried to gain my
- 25:46Speaker 3: own understanding on some stuff, he came back and he said,
- 25:51Speaker 3: what it is is that I need for you to
- 25:54Speaker 3: when people see you and the things that you do,
- 25:56Speaker 3: I want people to know that you can lead them
- 25:58Speaker 3: to something, not have them sit on something, not sit
- 26:04Speaker 3: on ideas, not sit on goals, not sit on aspirations,
- 26:10Speaker 3: not sit on innovations that you give them. I need
- 26:13Speaker 3: you to be a bridge, not a bench. So that's
- 26:17Speaker 3: what I'm working on now. I am definitely trying to
- 26:21Speaker 3: be the best version of me I can be. I
- 26:23Speaker 3: know that we're all living out God's script of his plan,
- 26:26Speaker 3: his grand scheme for our lives, and like I told
- 26:30Speaker 3: the Lord, I know I want to play my part.
- 26:33Speaker 3: I want to be. My part is shining, and I
- 26:37Speaker 3: want to be the best shining I can be. So
- 26:40Speaker 3: if you need me to be that bridge, excuse me,
- 26:43Speaker 3: be that bridge, not a bench, I totally get it.
- 26:46Speaker 3: So I'm working on some things and it's not hard.
- 26:49Speaker 3: I am working with somebody who's known as the Queen
- 26:51Speaker 3: of collaboration herself, Miss Queen Angela.
- 26:54Speaker 4: I give so much homage to you. Thank you so
- 26:56Speaker 4: much for taking a chance on me.
- 26:59Speaker 3: And you have many things going on, and the way
- 27:02Speaker 3: that you support everybody and do the things that you
- 27:04Speaker 3: do is remarkable, and I just thank you so much
- 27:07Speaker 3: for taking a chance on me. So I know that
- 27:09Speaker 3: our meeting is no coincidence as far as God and
- 27:13Speaker 3: his plan for my life and how he's telling me
- 27:15Speaker 3: what he wants me to do.
- 27:16Speaker 4: I look forward to doing big things with you. Thank
- 27:18Speaker 4: you so much. With the things that that are going on,
- 27:23Speaker 4: the month of March is major already.
- 27:27Speaker 3: So I look forward to telling you all more that's
- 27:29Speaker 3: going on with like I said, me and the crew podcast,
- 27:33Speaker 3: this Angela the one hundred Authors movement. She's got so
- 27:37Speaker 3: many things going on her birthday celebration. I'll be sharing
- 27:40Speaker 3: a whole lot of things. I know I've been kind
- 27:42Speaker 3: of off a little bit, but that's just because I'm
- 27:45Speaker 3: getting reacclimated with the plan. If you do so, I
- 27:48Speaker 3: look so forward to just like I said, she learn
- 27:51Speaker 3: with you guys and letting you guys know what's going on.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Hey, everybody, everybody, what's going on? Thank y'all for tuning in.
- 28:01Speaker 4: Let's see. I know there's some other things.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Oh, I also want to invite y'all to I'm going
- 28:10Speaker 3: to be doing a I guess an online event, uh

- 28:21Speaker 3: another thing going on in Marching to April, but every

- 28:34Speaker 3: There will be some prizes going on, some give back
- 28:38Speaker 3: to the community. If you will, so, again, just keep
- 28:42Speaker 3: tuning in.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Too bad to business. I got a lot of good
- 28:44Speaker 4: things going on.

- 29:21Speaker 3: out of here is support. The people who support you,
- 29:24Speaker 3: they need that support for you to give back to them.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Learning that real good in this group of women that
- 29:32Speaker 3: I have around me, they support me. And you know,
- 29:36Speaker 3: even like I said, when I fall short, they still
- 29:39Speaker 3: they're still there to pick me up.
- 29:40Speaker 4: So yeah, the people that love you, love on them.
- 29:45Speaker 3: We don't have a lot of time, and we don't
