Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a podcast called 25 Whistles. Talking football and
- 0:08Speaker 1: they all wear a whistle.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's stupid, but what did you expect? It's a
- 0:15Speaker 2: podcast called 25 Whistles.
- 0:17Speaker 3: 25 Whistles.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Yo, welcome to the show.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Blow it, Eddie.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Where do you want to start? Do you want to
- 0:24Speaker 2: know what I spent the money on to name at Arkansas? Yeah.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Did it get approved? Did the wire go through? The
- 0:31Speaker 1: money went through.
- 0:32Speaker 3: You don't need any help?
- 0:33Speaker 2: I'll tell you in a minute. I'll tell you in
- 0:36Speaker 2: a minute. South Alabama football is doing something interesting. If
- 0:40Speaker 2: you get on and you play college football 27, which
- 0:45Speaker 2: I didn't buy because I haven't played at all.
- 0:47Speaker 1: You haven't played anything.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I crushed 26. But if you get on and you
- 0:51Speaker 2: play with South Alabama as your dynasty and you win...
- 0:56Speaker 2: the national championship, or you win the conference, you win
- 0:58Speaker 2: different things. The school gives you things.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Oh, that's cool. Yeah. But is there a chance to
- 1:03Speaker 1: win or are they so bad that you can't win?
- 1:06Speaker 2: You play with the worst team. That's what I would do.
- 1:08Speaker 2: So if you're good, you get the worst team and
- 1:10Speaker 2: you rebuild them.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Ah, okay.
- 1:11Speaker 2: And so I wonder if it's in like the hardest
- 1:13Speaker 2: mode because that's difficult. But so you submit a photo
- 1:17Speaker 2: of yourself and your championship team along with a screenshot
- 1:19Speaker 2: of the championship game and one grand prize winner, two
- 1:23Speaker 2: secondary winners will be randomly selected. But then also, if
- 1:25Speaker 2: you just win, you also get tickets.
- 1:27Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 1:27Speaker 2: If you just do it. Because they want people at
- 1:28Speaker 2: the games, so they're going to give people tickets. But
- 1:32Speaker 2: the grand prize is you stay at the team hotel
- 1:35Speaker 2: with one guest. You ride in the game day. They
- 1:38Speaker 2: call it the prowl. I guess that's maybe all the
- 1:40Speaker 2: buses together.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Is that like with the players?
- 1:43Speaker 1: Maybe. Possibly.
- 1:44Speaker 2: You get a pregame sideline pass, the tunnel experience. You
- 1:47Speaker 2: get a custom South Alabama football jersey. And then there's
- 1:51Speaker 2: other stuff too. I think it's fun how People are
- 1:53Speaker 2: creating these. But also what college football does is the
- 1:57Speaker 2: more you play with the team, the more money the
- 1:59Speaker 2: school gets as well.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Oh, that's right. So they want that. They want that.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, they want both of those. That's cool.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Kind of like royalties, I guess, right?
- 2:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Like downloads?
- 2:10Speaker 2: That'd be the closest thing to it. Yeah, like songs.
- 2:12Speaker 2: If you listen to a song, a streaming song, they'll
- 2:14Speaker 2: get the royalties from it. If you keep playing with them,
- 2:16Speaker 2: the schools get the royalties from the game.
- 2:17Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 2:19Speaker 2: So yeah, that's what's up. I thought that was kind
- 2:20Speaker 2: of interesting. All right. Tom Brady wears leather pants now.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Oh, boy. That's your quarterback, dude. He's your guy.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Hey, I go back to Tiger Woods, you guys, okay?
- 2:30Speaker 1: Tiger Woods.
- 2:32Speaker 3: I saw that picture, and I immediately out loud was like,
- 2:34Speaker 3: what the heck is this?
- 2:35Speaker 1: I haven't seen the picture. Let me see it.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Well, he says he's become a fan of leather pants
- 2:38Speaker 2: since after walking in Gucci's fashion show in May, and
- 2:42Speaker 2: he's also going to do more modeling.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Man, he's really hurting the brand. You know what's good
- 2:50Speaker 2: for him? He's having fun, right? We get one life
- 2:51Speaker 2: to live. Chase it.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Live it. Love it.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Kind of hurting the brand a little bit, though.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Do you think any of his, like, Julian Edelman and
- 2:58Speaker 3: Gronk calling him, like, dude, what are you doing?
- 3:00Speaker 2: No, because I think he was the alpha.
- 3:03Speaker 3: That's true.
- 3:05Speaker 2: And outwardly, they're probably supporting him, but. Whenever he's not around,
- 3:09Speaker 2: they're talking to each other. They're like, what is Tom doing?
- 3:10Speaker 3: For example, Eddie, if Bobby was like doing, I don't know,
- 3:14Speaker 3: something like this, like totally.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Like growing my hair out stupidly? No, no, no, no.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, he's doing it right now, dude.
- 3:18Speaker 3: No, where, I guess, yeah. I mean, modeling for GQ
- 3:21Speaker 3: is something, but Eddie, what'd you call Bobby?
- 3:23Speaker 1: Gucci.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Oh, that's who it was.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah, the show.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Gucci.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:26Speaker 3: What'd you call him? Be like, hey, Bobby, like, you
- 3:29Speaker 3: all right, man?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Like leather pants? No.
- 3:32Speaker 2: No, because.
- 3:33Speaker 1: It would have to be something like really crazy. Everything
- 3:38Speaker 1: Tom has done is shocking only because we wouldn't expect
- 3:42Speaker 1: Tom Brady to do that stuff. But that's because we
- 3:46Speaker 1: had a narrative in our head about Tom Brady. Tom
- 3:49Speaker 1: Brady may have always been like this. And now that
- 3:53Speaker 1: he's not married and he can do whatever he wants,
- 3:56Speaker 1: we're seeing it all.
- 3:58Speaker 3: I feel like he's living his 20s and his 40s.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I feel like he finally has some time and space
- 4:03Speaker 2: and money.
- 4:04Speaker 1: That's it.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Because he has had money for a long time, but
- 4:07Speaker 2: not a lot of time because he's been dedicated.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Working.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Not a lot of space. Yeah. And so now he's
- 4:11Speaker 2: being the real him.
- 4:13Speaker 1: But sometimes you forget you still have your kids. You
- 4:15Speaker 1: know what I mean?
- 4:16Speaker 2: His kids are older, though.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Your kids are still going to see this.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Everything.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Yes.
- 4:21Speaker 2: But I don't think what he's doing is bad. It
- 4:23Speaker 2: just is not what we feel has represented Tom Brady
- 4:26Speaker 2: for so long. which is be quiet, show up, do
- 4:29Speaker 2: your job, and be the absolute best at it, and then.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Do it again, and then do it again. I know,
- 4:33Speaker 1: but you know, like, whenever I decide to eat, like,
- 4:34Speaker 1: 100 hot dogs or whatever, I forget that I have kids.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but we don't hold you to a standard other
- 4:40Speaker 2: than the guy that eats 100 hot dogs.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Correct.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Like, that is kind of who you are already.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Right, but then the kids will watch that video in, like,
- 4:47Speaker 1: a couple months and be like, Dad, what are you doing? Like,
- 4:49Speaker 1: why would you try to eat 100 hot dogs, you know?
- 4:51Speaker 1: And then, like, I think Tom's forgetting, like, all right,
- 4:55Speaker 1: my kids are going to see all this.
- 4:58Speaker 2: But he's not doing anything bad.
- 4:59Speaker 1: He's wearing leather pants. He looks stupid.
- 5:00Speaker 2: The leather pants thing is maybe making out with influencers
- 5:04Speaker 2: is the weird part of it. Yeah. But other than that,
- 5:07Speaker 2: I don't know that he's doing anything bad. It's just
- 5:08Speaker 2: weird as opposed to who we feel like he is.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Who we thought he was.
- 5:13Speaker 3: But we're getting so far removed from that person.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Because the Patriots, I mean, this is what, six, seven
- 5:17Speaker 3: years ago now, where it's like, we've talked about this before,
- 5:20Speaker 3: but it's a whole nother generation now that's only going
- 5:23Speaker 3: to know Tom Brady for this.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Do you think if he keeps getting... I'm just going
- 5:28Speaker 1: to say douchier. If he continues to get douchier and douchier,
- 5:32Speaker 1: do we remove the GOAT title?
- 5:34Speaker 3: No.
- 5:34Speaker 2: No. He's still the greatest.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Okay. Nothing can ruin that.
- 5:39Speaker 2: If he Bill Cosby'd.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Not that.
- 5:41Speaker 2: So I'm not going to say nothing.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:43Speaker 2: But even then you'd go, man, he was the greatest
- 5:46Speaker 2: quarterback ever, but what a terrible dude.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:49Speaker 2: But he'd still be the greatest quarterback ever. You kind
- 5:51Speaker 2: of can't take away his championships unless you find out
- 5:53Speaker 2: he cheated, and you already know he cheated, and you
- 5:55Speaker 2: still don't care.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Allegedly. He did. Oh, man, that ball was like a sponge.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You're right.
- 6:01Speaker 2: He did cheat.
- 6:02Speaker 1: He did.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Allegedly. No, no.
- 6:04Speaker 1: No, no, no, no.
- 6:05Speaker 3: He even got suspended.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Yes.
- 6:07Speaker 1: That ball was soft.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Yeah, they were coming after him.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, he got caught. Yeah, he cheated. Got suspended.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Conspiracy against Tom Brady.
- 6:18Speaker 2: No, not that. Okay, the PGA Championship this weekend. Is it? What?
- 6:24Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I'm looking at odds. It's not this weekend. I never
- 6:26Speaker 2: know when the Masters are. I don't think it's this weekend. Yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 2: it is. The finale of the 2026 PGA Tour season.
- 6:34Speaker 1: This is the season.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Going into the PGA Tour Championship. These are the golfers.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Am I crazy?
- 6:40Speaker 1: What the crap? No, man. We already had the PGA Championship,
- 6:42Speaker 1: the major. I think this is just the end of
- 6:46Speaker 1: the season, which is weird anyway.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Going into the PGA Tour Championship. These are the golfers.
- 6:51Speaker 2: The sportsbooks have the best shot to take home the title. Huh.
- 6:55Speaker 1: You're golf, man. No, no, but what happens in, because
- 6:58Speaker 1: you're right, I am golf guy, but like whenever football
- 7:01Speaker 1: comes around, I stop watching golf.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Well, I could be wrong. What do you see, Mike?
- 7:04Speaker 1: I'm looking it up.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I see what you're seeing. Thursday, August 27th.
- 7:10Speaker 1: It's the end of the season, right? This is where
- 7:12Speaker 1: all the points matter and whoever has the most points wins.
- 7:16Speaker 1: It's kind of like a NASCAR.
- 7:17Speaker 3: This says all season begins. The majors have concluded.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Yeah, the majors are done. We've played all four of them.
- 7:24Speaker 2: We've.
- 7:26Speaker 3: How'd you do, Eddie?
- 7:28Speaker 1: Pretty good. Pretty good. Scheffler. Number one. World number one.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Plus 345 to win.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:36Speaker 2: I just thought there was a big major coming up.
- 7:38Speaker 1: It's just the end of the season. But you know
- 7:40Speaker 1: what's weird about Scheffler? It's so weird that he's so good. So, so,
- 7:46Speaker 1: so good. But then sometimes he can just crap the bed.
- 7:52Speaker 2: But isn't that golf?
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yeah, but Tiger wasn't like that. Tiger would never crap
- 7:59Speaker 1: to bed.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I think you have a revisionist history of Tiger. Really?
- 8:02Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know how many majors he lost
- 8:06Speaker 2: when he was leading. Probably not many. But you're talking
- 8:09Speaker 2: about just majors?
- 8:10Speaker 1: No, just tournaments. Because, I mean, even the FedEx Cup.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I think the FedEx Cup is the one he won.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And Sheffler played great. He won by, I think, I
- 8:18Speaker 1: don't know, eight strokes or something. Just dominated. And then
- 8:22Speaker 1: this last weekend, I mean, he barely made the cut.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. Tiger didn't miss cuts, but I
- 8:27Speaker 2: think you have a revisionist history of Tiger being a
- 8:29Speaker 2: superhero and winning every tournament ever.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and dominating everyone.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Yeah, because that wasn't the case.
- 8:35Speaker 1: But he did say that he had some blisters or
- 8:38Speaker 1: he has hand, foot, and mouth or something, and that
- 8:41Speaker 1: it was hurting to grip the clubs, which is crazy.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Isn't that like super contagious?
- 8:45Speaker 2: It's like a cow disease.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Hand, foot, and mouth?
- 8:47Speaker 2: Yeah, like a cattle get or something. Right. The top
- 8:52Speaker 2: 20 jerseys NFL. Oh, man. You got 20 here. If
- 8:59Speaker 2: you miss three times, you're out. Kevin, you got the
- 9:01Speaker 2: first pick.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Drake May.
- 9:03Speaker 2: And number two, Drake May. Number two.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Number two? Yeah.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Eddie, you're up.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Great. Patrick Mahomes.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Number six, Patrick Mahomes. Don't be Googling anything. I don't
- 9:17Speaker 2: know why you're on your computer. Why are you typing
- 9:19Speaker 2: on your computer?
- 9:19Speaker 3: You don't get to type on your computer while you
- 9:21Speaker 3: play games. I'm typing the names to make sure I
- 9:22Speaker 3: don't say them again. Get your hands off.
- 9:23Speaker 2: No, we're not typing on the computers.
- 9:25Speaker 1: All right. Go ahead. Cheater.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Former cowboy, Micah Parsons.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Number 10, Micah Parsons.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Dang, really? Okay. Jackson, Smith, and Jigba.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Four. Jackson, Smith, and Jigba.
- 9:42Speaker 3: That's a good one, dude. Yeah, Joe Burrow.
- 9:49Speaker 1: That's the one they steal.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Didn't make the top 20.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Wow.
- 9:54Speaker 2: 1X family feud style for Kevin. Eddie. Hmm. You've only
- 10:02Speaker 2: got four players off this list. Top 20.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Lamar Jackson. Number 19.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Barely made it.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Lucky, dude.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It's tough, huh, when you can't use your computer?
- 10:17Speaker 2: It's a lot tougher. All of a sudden.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Shut up.
- 10:20Speaker 3: He takes his fingers off the keys.
- 10:21Speaker 2: He can't remember anything.
- 10:22Speaker 3: He can't remember. He writes something that I totally forgot.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Come on, Tiger.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Jameer Gibbs.
- 10:28Speaker 1: That's a good.
- 10:32Speaker 2: One.
- 10:32Speaker 1: 16. He scared me. CeeDee Lamb. Oh, my gosh. X.
- 10:42Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 10:44Speaker 2: One X each. Kevin.
- 10:46Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 10:49Speaker 3: I'm going to stick with the Lions and go Amon Ra, St.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Brown.
- 10:55Speaker 3: 17.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Woo! Amon Ra, St. Brown.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Ooh, this is a good one because not only sports
- 11:03Speaker 1: fans are buying this one, Swifties are buying this one.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Killa Trav.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Killa Trav.
- 11:10Speaker 1: He's on there. Nope. He's got to be on there. Wow.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Okay, let me check again.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Yeah, one more time.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Oh.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Nope. That's still not on there? That's two strikes.
- 11:20Speaker 2: That's two strikes, Eddie. Oh, my God. Guys, you guys
- 11:22Speaker 2: only have six of the top 20. I know.
- 11:24Speaker 1: It's harder than you think, man.
- 11:25Speaker 3: I think we're, yeah.
- 11:26Speaker 2: It's not hard for me. I'm looking at them.
- 11:28Speaker 1: You know them. Yeah, that helps.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm going to go with Myles Garrett.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Oh.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Nope.
- 11:36Speaker 3: New team?
- 11:36Speaker 2: No. So you're both at two strikes.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Wow, we're not doing very good.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Eddie, you can lose if you miss this one.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I won't. I mean, a cowboy has to be on there.
- 11:46Speaker 1: So give me Dak Prescott. Oh, dang. He's on the list.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Yeah, probably.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Got him. Got him. He's on there.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Nope.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Wow. You lost.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Kevin, you want to try to hit another one?
- 12:04Speaker 3: Yeah, Bijan Robinson.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Nope.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Oh, my goodness.
- 12:11Speaker 1: We suck.
- 12:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Jamar Chase.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Okay, but will you say it like that?
- 12:15Speaker 3: Like, oh, yeah, easily.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Why didn't you say that?
- 12:17Speaker 1: It just came to my head. That's why.
- 12:19Speaker 2: You also missed it. He's not on there.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Really?
- 12:21Speaker 3: Dude.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Number one, Josh Allen.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 12:24Speaker 3: We're an idiot.
- 12:25Speaker 1: We're an idiots.
- 12:26Speaker 3: We're an idiots.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Number two, Drake May. Number three, Saquon. Still. Number four, Jackson, Smith,
- 12:32Speaker 2: and Jigba. Number five, Jaden Daniels.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Jaden Daniels. Who wants that one?
- 12:36Speaker 2: Mahomes at six. Jalen Hurts at seven. Ugh. Caleb Williams
- 12:41Speaker 2: at eight. I was surprised you guys didn't guess Caleb Williams. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I think that it's easy to say now the strategy
- 12:48Speaker 2: would just go find the big quarterbacks on the big team.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Yeah, because usually it's the quarterbacks.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Jordan Love at nine. Micah Parsons at ten. Bo Nix
- 12:56Speaker 2: at 11.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Ugh.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Bo Nix? Christian McCaffrey at 12. Justin Jefferson at 13.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Aiden Hutchinson at 14. Ain't another line. Yeah, just not
- 13:06Speaker 2: a lot of defensive guys, though. There are just a few, though.
- 13:09Speaker 1: T.J.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Watt at 15. Jamar Gibbs and Mon Ross St.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Brown.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Brock Purdy at 18. What?
- 13:15Speaker 1: Brock Purdy. Stop. Nobody's buying that.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Lamar Jackson at 19. And C.J. Stroud at 20.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Nobody's buying that. Oh, my goodness. Only in Houston.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Over Dak Prescott.
- 13:23Speaker 1: What? That's absurd.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Subsurd.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Who made that list? It's sales.
- 13:29Speaker 2: It's jerseys.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Meh. Fanatics. That's where I buy my stuff.
- 13:34Speaker 2: NFL. All right. Do you guys want to guess one
- 13:37Speaker 2: more time what I'm going to buy and sponsor and
- 13:40Speaker 2: name at the University of Arkansas?
- 13:41Speaker 1: Yes. I have it.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Oh, you go first.
- 13:45Speaker 1: The flag.
- 13:46Speaker 2: The American flag?
- 13:47Speaker 1: No, no, the yellow flag, penalty flag.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Oh, that's fun.
- 13:52Speaker 1: And that's a Bobby Bones flag.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 13:57Speaker 3: I'm going to guess the headsets will have your name
- 13:59Speaker 3: on it.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Man, that would be really expensive.
- 14:01Speaker 3: I know, it would be cool.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Every headset? Oh, or the tablets.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I think mine will not be seen on TV.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Oh, okay, the water bottles.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Well, maybe you'd see those on TV. Mine had something
- 14:15Speaker 2: to do, what I thought was funny about it was
- 14:19Speaker 2: what it was, and it's a place you don't want
- 14:23Speaker 2: to go, but there's also kind of an association with
- 14:26Speaker 2: my name.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Oh, I was going to say urinal.
- 14:29Speaker 1: You don't want to go? Is there a jail at
- 14:31Speaker 1: the stadium?
- 14:31Speaker 2: Nope. Bones.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Bones. A graveyard? Cemetery?
- 14:37Speaker 2: The cemetery where when people die, they get put there. No,
- 14:41Speaker 2: not a cemetery.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I was like, what? If someone dies during the game. Bones.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Mike probably knows it. I'm going to let them still
- 14:50Speaker 2: guess it out. Is there like a barbecue place? Like
- 14:54Speaker 2: a barbecue restaurant, like a concession stand?
- 14:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Nah.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Bobby.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Bones.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Garbage cans. Trash cans?
- 15:01Speaker 3: You don't want to go there.
- 15:02Speaker 2: It's in the stadium.
- 15:03Speaker 3: It's in the stadium.
- 15:04Speaker 2: You will not see it as a fan. You would
- 15:07Speaker 2: have to be a player to access it.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Oh.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Okay, so it's a locker room. Locker room. Bones. Got
- 15:14Speaker 1: to be a locker room. Or the tent. Inside the tent.
- 15:19Speaker 3: The laundry basket.
- 15:22Speaker 1: That would be funny, dude.
- 15:24Speaker 2: It's not on the sideline, like I said.
- 15:25Speaker 1: So it would be in the locker room.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Well, I wouldn't say it's in the locker room.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Equipment room, maybe?
- 15:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 15:32Speaker 3: What's in the equipment room?
- 15:33Speaker 1: The tunnel.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Oh.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Bones. Tunnel. Man, I don't know.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Washer, dryer. I'm thinking laundry still.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Bobby Bones, washer and dryer. Why would you even spend
- 15:47Speaker 1: money on that?
- 15:49Speaker 2: Just think about bones. Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Massage table?
- 15:57Speaker 3: Dog bones?
- 15:59Speaker 2: Mike, what do you think it is?
- 16:00Speaker 3: You got an x-ray machine?
- 16:01Speaker 2: The x-ray room. Where players go in and have to
- 16:05Speaker 2: get x-rayed.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I didn't even know they had one in college.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, they definitely don't want to go there.
- 16:11Speaker 2: It'll be the Bobby Bones x-ray room. So I've bought
- 16:15Speaker 2: the naming rights to this.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Okay.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Where'd that come from?
- 16:18Speaker 1: And that's only at.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I just thought it was funny.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Their stadium, at the stadium.
- 16:22Speaker 2: What?
- 16:22Speaker 1: Like if they travel, they don't name the.
- 16:24Speaker 2: No, they don't. It's not a mobile.
- 16:26Speaker 1: The visitors.
- 16:27Speaker 2: No, whatever stadium has their own.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Okay.
- 16:30Speaker 2: So, but there'll be a big... big plaque with my
- 16:32Speaker 2: name on it and it's called uh bobby bones x-ray
- 16:36Speaker 2: room so if we go visit there can we get
- 16:37Speaker 2: x-rays for free maybe discount.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Yeah what's uh what's like what do you get out
- 16:43Speaker 1: of that.
- 16:43Speaker 2: No nothing because like no one's gonna see that yeah
- 16:47Speaker 2: okay just the players yeah okay it'd be funny.
- 16:50Speaker 1: And now are they gonna be like tom you might
- 16:53Speaker 1: have broken something let's go to the bobby bones x-ray.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Room That's the hope. My desire is that.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Coach, I'm not going to have to go to the
- 17:01Speaker 1: Body Bones x-ray room, am I?
- 17:03Speaker 2: Mostly they were just like, hey, we need some money.
- 17:05Speaker 2: And I like to have stuff named after me now.
- 17:07Speaker 2: It's hilarious. So I said, name the x-ray room after me.
- 17:11Speaker 2: And they said, okay, fine.
- 17:12Speaker 1: You're crazy, dude.
- 17:13Speaker 2: So that's what it is.
- 17:14Speaker 1: That's awesome. So when we go to the game, we
- 17:17Speaker 1: get to see the room, right? Yeah. That's cool.
- 17:20Speaker 2: I mean, if you go to a game.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Which game are we going to go to?
- 17:25Speaker 2: You guys are going together? You two?
- 17:26Speaker 1: No, all of us.
- 17:27Speaker 2: All of us. I don't have that planned out.
- 17:28Speaker 1: And remember, we're staying at your house. Yeah.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't have any of that planned out yet,
- 17:31Speaker 2: but I'll let you know as soon as we get there.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:34Speaker 2: All right, that's what's up. All right, let's take a break.
- 17:43Speaker 1: All right, Kev, what do you have for us?
- 17:44Speaker 3: All right, I saw this. show that's coming out produced
- 17:48Speaker 3: by Kim Kardashian and it's called Team Moms. T-E-A-M Moms.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Baseball gets cast reveal and premiere date on Paramount Plus, right?
- 17:56Speaker 3: That was a headline. And basically what it is, it's
- 17:59Speaker 3: a reality show of these moms that are baseball moms
- 18:03Speaker 3: of these teenagers in high school. But the show is
- 18:06Speaker 3: following these moms around and And obviously there's going to
- 18:10Speaker 3: be a lot of drama in it, I'm sure.
- 18:12Speaker 2: For sure.
- 18:12Speaker 3: It's kind of like what's the OC moms show? One
- 18:15Speaker 3: of those. But it's following these baseball moms around. So
- 18:19Speaker 3: I was wondering, you know, your kids are all in sports.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Would you ever do a dad version of this?
- 18:25Speaker 1: Like would I be part of it? Yes. Like mic'd
- 18:28Speaker 1: and I'd be a person on the show? Yeah. No.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Never?
- 18:32Speaker 2: No.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Dude, I'm so chill. I'm one of the chillest sports
- 18:38Speaker 1: dads ever. I don't yell. I mean, basketball sometimes, dude. Basketball,
- 18:44Speaker 1: sometimes I yell just mainly at my kid, though. My
- 18:48Speaker 1: thing is I'm always kind of like if I see
- 18:51Speaker 1: my kid running half-ass, I'm the one that's like, hey,
- 18:55Speaker 1: what are you doing? Let's go.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Even though you're not coaching?
- 18:57Speaker 1: Yeah, correct. But other than that, I don't get mad
- 19:01Speaker 1: at anything else.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Yeah, but these are following the mom. So you would
- 19:06Speaker 3: be mic'd up over there and you'd be the one yelling, right?
- 19:09Speaker 2: Right.
- 19:09Speaker 1: And I'm telling you, that's not, I'm not a yeller.
- 19:12Speaker 3: But you are at your own kid.
- 19:13Speaker 1: At my own kid. But then there's a moment when
- 19:16Speaker 1: I realized that I'm the only one yelling and I'm
- 19:18Speaker 1: yelling louder than I thought I was. So I just
- 19:21Speaker 1: kind of chill.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Does your wife ever be like, hey, can you stop?
- 19:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Can you pipe down a little bit? Does anybody ever
- 19:27Speaker 3: say anything to you other than your wife?
- 19:28Speaker 1: Just my wife. No, dude, because you can hear these
- 19:32Speaker 1: other people yelling. And I'm telling you, dads don't realize,
- 19:38Speaker 1: sometimes moms, they don't realize how loud they are. Like
- 19:43Speaker 1: to you as the parent, it's almost like you're just
- 19:47Speaker 1: at home trying to tell your kid to do something.
- 19:49Speaker 1: and But you feel like they can't hear you unless
- 19:53Speaker 1: you yell. So you are yelling so freaking loud. But
- 19:57Speaker 1: I'm telling you, dude, this thing that Kim K is doing,
- 20:00Speaker 1: I had this idea to do with AAU basketball parents
- 20:04Speaker 1: because they're brutal. You're right.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Actually, yeah, because you were talking about the fight.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yes, dude. There's a fight in AAU basketball. There is
- 20:12Speaker 1: a fight between either the parents, the parents and a ref,
- 20:17Speaker 1: Or two kids fighting. And I'm talking any age you
- 20:20Speaker 1: want to name the age seven year olds. There are
- 20:23Speaker 1: kids fighting on the court.
- 20:25Speaker 3: So you think that would be a good show, though?
- 20:27Speaker 1: Yes.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Like that's what we need to come up with.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah. And, you know, with this Kim's show, it's going
- 20:32Speaker 1: to be good because, dude, parents are out of control.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:36Speaker 3: And these moms, they want the drama like they're on
- 20:39Speaker 3: this show because they want to be dramatic. They want
- 20:42Speaker 3: to get the clips, the highlights, all that stuff. And
- 20:45Speaker 3: reality TV is at an all-time high right now, so
- 20:47Speaker 3: you know these moms are going to be thriving in
- 20:49Speaker 3: this environment.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Dude, coming to think of it, I remember some basketball
- 20:53Speaker 1: games where moms were getting into it with each other.
- 20:57Speaker 1: With each other? Yeah.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 1: And the dads had to be like, hey, hey, hey,
- 21:01Speaker 1: you all relax. You all chill a little bit. Like, relax.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Because these moms, dude, are territorial with their kids. So
- 21:09Speaker 1: when their kids fight, the moms get upset with each other.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Do you feel, well, I guess you have all boys,
- 21:15Speaker 3: but have you ever seen it where, like, are moms
- 21:16Speaker 3: more territorial with their little boys or girls? Have you
- 21:19Speaker 3: ever noticed that? Or no, you've only seen the boys aspect,
- 21:21Speaker 3: I guess, huh?
- 21:22Speaker 1: I've never seen, I've never gone to a girls game.
- 21:25Speaker 3: I'm just interested, like, are guys more territorial with their
- 21:28Speaker 3: daughters and then moms more territorial with their sons, maybe?
- 21:32Speaker 1: Did I tell you about the time when my son
- 21:34Speaker 1: was having a basketball practice at a little side gym
- 21:37Speaker 1: at his school? And he's like, Dad, it's going to
- 21:40Speaker 1: be an hour and a half. If you want to
- 21:42Speaker 1: go somewhere, you can, or if you want to wait.
- 21:44Speaker 1: And then I saw they were having a basketball game
- 21:45Speaker 1: next door at the main gym. And I was like,
- 21:48Speaker 1: I might as well just go to the game and
- 21:49Speaker 1: watch the basketball game. And it ended up being girls basketball.
- 21:54Speaker 1: And I was the only dad that didn't have a
- 21:57Speaker 1: kid in the game.
- 21:58Speaker 3: So you were a creep?
- 21:59Speaker 1: Yeah. And I'm like, oh, dude, so I saw another dad,
- 22:03Speaker 1: and I told him, like, hey, yeah, man, I'm just
- 22:05Speaker 1: waiting for, you know, my son to get out of
- 22:06Speaker 1: his practice. I didn't have anything else to do.
- 22:08Speaker 3: I'm just the only guy just sitting here watching girls
- 22:10Speaker 3: play basketball.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I swear I'm not weird. But I've never really gone
- 22:14Speaker 1: to a kid's girl game of any sort, so I
- 22:18Speaker 1: don't know.
- 22:18Speaker 3: They have that in WNBA now more than anything, I guess.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought of that when I saw that story.
- 22:24Speaker 3: I was like, I wonder if Eddie would ever do this.
- 22:25Speaker 3: But I know that you've seen it, so maybe one
- 22:27Speaker 3: day we can make a show like that.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Dude, I'm telling you, man, we would make a great
- 22:31Speaker 1: documentary if we did AAU basketball. Because there's something about
- 22:35Speaker 1: these parents that think, and I'm telling you, every parent
- 22:40Speaker 1: in there thinks that their kid has a chance to
- 22:43Speaker 1: be the next LeBron. Dang.
- 22:46Speaker 3: And then I feel bad for the kids.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, because you know what? They end up hating it.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:51Speaker 1: They end up hating it. And I remember my son too, when,
- 22:53Speaker 1: when my son experienced the first fight at the game, uh,
- 22:57Speaker 1: and it was like, I think his first fight were
- 22:59Speaker 1: two parents yelling at each other. He like froze and
- 23:04Speaker 1: didn't want to, he didn't want to keep playing the game,
- 23:06Speaker 1: you know? And then, and then there'd be a kid
- 23:08Speaker 1: on the court crying, you know, because his mom's fighting.
- 23:12Speaker 3: It's like traumatizing, huh?
- 23:13Speaker 1: Traumatizing, dude. I remember one kid yelling and saying, Mom, stop! Mom, stop! Oh, no.
- 23:19Speaker 3: That made me feel uncomfortable just like hearing you talk
- 23:22Speaker 3: about it. I can't even imagine being there.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I know, dude.
- 23:25Speaker 3: And witnessing it.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I know. It's crazy. Okay, so what happened with you?
- 23:28Speaker 1: You were at a restaurant. What happened?
- 23:29Speaker 3: Yeah, speaking of uncomfortable, actually, I was at a restaurant,
- 23:33Speaker 3: and it was me, my wife, and two kids, and
- 23:34Speaker 3: we were just sitting there eating our dinner, having a
- 23:36Speaker 3: good time, and then all of a sudden we hear
- 23:38Speaker 3: just like a commotion, like, oh, oh! And then this
- 23:41Speaker 3: lady jumps out of this booth.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on. Time out. Set the scene. What
- 23:45Speaker 1: kind of restaurant?
- 23:47Speaker 3: A decent restaurant. Like, I wouldn't say high-end.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Like a Chili's? No, no, no, no, no.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Better than that. But not like a high-end steakhouse.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Okay.
- 23:55Speaker 3: I would say in between that.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Okay, but it has servers.
- 23:57Speaker 3: It has servers. Yeah, booths. You know, a little dimly lit.
- 24:01Speaker 3: You can get a good drink. You can get a steak.
- 24:04Speaker 3: You can get a burger.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I love it.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 3: So we're here having a nice dinner and there's families
- 24:08Speaker 3: all in there. And there's this family in this booth
- 24:11Speaker 3: off to our left, full. There's like probably six or
- 24:14Speaker 3: seven of them. And we just hear one of the
- 24:18Speaker 3: ladies in the booth start yelling. We look out or
- 24:21Speaker 3: we look over and she starts jumping out of the booth, choking.
- 24:25Speaker 1: She's like. The one that was choking got up. Just
- 24:30Speaker 1: started moving around.
- 24:31Speaker 3: And she was in the middle of the booth. You
- 24:32Speaker 3: know how, like, when you're, like, third person in, you
- 24:34Speaker 3: got to have everybody get out?
- 24:35Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Like, she was pushing them. Like, get out of my way.
- 24:37Speaker 3: But she couldn't talk because she was choking. Get out
- 24:39Speaker 3: of my way. And then she got out and just
- 24:41Speaker 3: started choking. And then her husband, I assume it's her husband,
- 24:45Speaker 3: just started... Smacking her on the back, right? And she's
- 24:48Speaker 3: choking and choking. And then one of the servers comes over,
- 24:52Speaker 3: not ours. Ours is just sitting there watching the whole
- 24:54Speaker 3: thing go down.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Frozen. Like my son on the basketball court.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Exactly. Doesn't know what to do. And we're sitting there like,
- 24:59Speaker 3: what the heck is going on? And then another server
- 25:02Speaker 3: runs over and she's like, get out of my way.
- 25:03Speaker 3: I can do it. I can do it. And the
- 25:05Speaker 3: husband's like, no, you get out of my way.
- 25:07Speaker 1: As he's like.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Smacking her on the back.
- 25:09Speaker 1: And she's still choking.
- 25:10Speaker 3: And she's still choking, dude. Still choking. And then eventually
- 25:16Speaker 3: she was okay. The husband got it out of her.
- 25:18Speaker 3: She didn't spit anything out, but she was choking for
- 25:21Speaker 3: like a solid probably, it's one of those where it
- 25:24Speaker 3: seemed like it was five minutes and it was probably
- 25:26Speaker 3: like 30 seconds.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Right. You know? Do you know what she was choking on?
- 25:30Speaker 3: No, she even said after, she's like, I don't know
- 25:32Speaker 3: what that was, but something just got caught in my throat.
- 25:35Speaker 3: And the server, it was so funny too, the server
- 25:37Speaker 3: that was trying to help after she, you know, got
- 25:39Speaker 3: done choking, she looked over at us because she was
- 25:41Speaker 3: trying to help and she seemed like she knew what
- 25:43Speaker 3: she was about to do and the Husband was just
- 25:45Speaker 3: smacking his wife.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Hey, like a hard smack?
- 25:49Speaker 3: Dude, like I could hear it. We were probably like 10,
- 25:51Speaker 3: 15 feet away. And you're just.
- 25:54Speaker 2: And then. And I'm like, geez.
- 25:57Speaker 1: That sounds painful. I don't know why, but I'm picturing
- 26:00Speaker 1: a bigger couple. Honestly, no.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Okay.
- 26:03Speaker 3: No, you're not wrong for thinking that though.
- 26:05Speaker 1: I don't know why, but I pictured some big couple
- 26:08Speaker 1: and this dude just like hitting her back hard.
- 26:11Speaker 3: No, not a bigger couple. But the other server, dude,
- 26:15Speaker 3: she walked, I mean, she ran over there. She's like,
- 26:17Speaker 3: get out of the way. I can do it.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I can do it.
- 26:18Speaker 3: And she knew like she was ready for this moment.
- 26:21Speaker 3: And then as a husband smacking her, she looked over
- 26:23Speaker 3: at us and she just looks at us shaking her head.
- 26:25Speaker 3: She's like trying to help, but he won't let me.
- 26:27Speaker 3: And thank God the girl or the lady was all right.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Was she turning blue or anything?
- 26:32Speaker 3: No, it never got that bad.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Like, I'm not trying to be judgmental, but it seemed
- 26:35Speaker 3: a little dramatic. But during the time.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Stop, dude. She was choking.
- 26:40Speaker 3: I know, but during the time I was like, oh
- 26:42Speaker 3: my gosh. But after I was like, was it really
- 26:44Speaker 3: that bad?
- 26:44Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Have you ever been choked? I didn't mean that. Have
- 26:49Speaker 1: you ever been choking on food or anything ever?
- 26:52Speaker 3: No, not to that extent.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Neither have I.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Like, I don't really choke. On things. I've accidentally had
- 27:02Speaker 1: water go down the wrong pipe.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Of course.
- 27:04Speaker 1: And you feel like you're choking, but I've never choked
- 27:07Speaker 1: on a piece of food before.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Yeah, me neither. I mean, definitely not to the point
- 27:10Speaker 3: where somebody had to give me the Heimlich or smack
- 27:13Speaker 3: my back.
- 27:13Speaker 1: See, and that's my question. I know the smack in
- 27:16Speaker 1: the back. That's phase one, right? Yeah. Someone's choking. Hit
- 27:21Speaker 1: her on the back. Phase two is like, does anyone
- 27:25Speaker 1: know the Heimlich?
- 27:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Would you know the Heimlich? Would you be able to
- 27:30Speaker 1: know what to do?
- 27:31Speaker 3: No, I mean, obviously I didn't because I just stood there.
- 27:34Speaker 1: No, it sounds like you weren't going to do crap.
- 27:36Speaker 3: I sat there in my chair and I'm like, what's
- 27:38Speaker 3: going on right now?
- 27:39Speaker 1: You're still eating your steak.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I'm like, can you quiet down over there?
- 27:44Speaker 1: Trying to enjoy a meal, man.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I got my kids here, man.
- 27:47Speaker 1: No, I.
- 27:49Speaker 3: I've never seen it, so I guess that answers the question.
- 27:51Speaker 3: I wouldn't know what to do. I mean, right now
- 27:53Speaker 3: I could be like, yeah, aren't you supposed to get
- 27:54Speaker 3: under the sternum, I think is what they say, right?
- 27:56Speaker 3: With your fingers or your thumbs or something like that.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I'll put the whole fist is what I would do. Dude, Heimlich.
- 28:05Speaker 3: And you lift up on it.
- 28:07Speaker 1: No, you just push in, right?
- 28:09Speaker 3: Well, from behind, right?
- 28:13Speaker 1: So the thing is, we're not trained in Heimlich, right?
- 28:17Speaker 1: I've never trained. Have I taken a Heimlich? I'm not
- 28:21Speaker 1: sure if I've taken a class because I know when
- 28:23Speaker 1: we adopted our kids or when we did foster, when
- 28:26Speaker 1: we were foster care, when we were a foster home,
- 28:30Speaker 1: we had to do CPR classes. We had to do,
- 28:33Speaker 1: I think it was Heimlich, but I don't remember, man.
- 28:36Speaker 1: But I feel like I've seen it enough on TV
- 28:39Speaker 1: to kind of know what to do.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Yeah, but would you have the confidence, you think, like
- 28:44Speaker 3: in the moment to jump up and go do it?
- 28:46Speaker 1: After phase one didn't work. Hmm. Like, if I'm seeing
- 28:50Speaker 1: dude slap her back over and over and it's not
- 28:54Speaker 1: working and it was just us in there, yeah, I'd
- 28:56Speaker 1: jump in. I would do it.
- 29:00Speaker 3: You think you would?
- 29:01Speaker 1: I think I would. I'm a lifeguard, dude.
- 29:03Speaker 3: That is true. That is true. But what if you
- 29:05Speaker 3: did it, and I'm not saying they pass away, but
- 29:07Speaker 3: what if you did it and it didn't work? Like,
- 29:09Speaker 3: how bad would you feel?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Terrible. But how bad would you feel if you didn't
- 29:13Speaker 1: do anything and they passed away?
- 29:15Speaker 3: Yeah, pretty bad.
- 29:16Speaker 1: At least I tried. Yeah. All right, hero. But see,
- 29:19Speaker 1: that's what's... Hey, man, look, I'm not a hero, dude.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I'm not calling myself a hero. But you know what, though, dude?
- 29:25Speaker 1: People have to worry about that, though. If you're an
- 29:28Speaker 1: innocent bystander and somebody is choking and you decide to
- 29:33Speaker 1: go in there and help and say you made the
- 29:35Speaker 1: wrong decision, you didn't do the Heimlich right, or you accidentally...
- 29:40Speaker 1: fisted the wrong part, you would get in trouble, dude.
- 29:46Speaker 1: You could get in trouble. You could get sued.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Right.
- 29:49Speaker 1: And all you were trying to do was help. Right.
- 29:51Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
- 29:52Speaker 1: That's crazy. I hate that part of the law.
- 29:55Speaker 3: And I hate that that pops in our head.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Because that's not the human... Way to think.
- 30:01Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Like, human way to think is somebody needs my help,
- 30:04Speaker 1: I'm going to jump in and help.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought about it after. I was like, should
- 30:06Speaker 3: I have helped? And I was like, well, somebody tried
- 30:08Speaker 3: to help, and that guy was like, get out of
- 30:09Speaker 3: my way.
- 30:10Speaker 1: What did your wife say? Like, go help?
- 30:11Speaker 4: Nothing?
- 30:12Speaker 3: No, no. We all kind of just sat there like,
- 30:13Speaker 3: what is going... Is she actually choking? I can't really
- 30:16Speaker 3: tell if she's, like, legit choking, because... The way that
- 30:19Speaker 3: he was smacking her, man, I was like, I feel
- 30:20Speaker 3: like he's taking some anger out or something.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Did you video it?
- 30:23Speaker 3: No, no.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Did you think about videoing it?
- 30:26Speaker 3: Honestly, I didn't.
- 30:27Speaker 1: It didn't cross your mind?
- 30:29Speaker 3: I'm happy about that. At least I didn't pull out
- 30:30Speaker 3: my phone and be that guy and do nothing but
- 30:33Speaker 3: watch somebody choking video it.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Or do it like incognito, you know, where it's on.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Under the table.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Or have my kids hold it.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Because, dude, that is a viral video. Yeah. That right
- 30:43Speaker 1: there is guaranteed viral.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right. I think I was in more shock
- 30:48Speaker 3: than anything else.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 3: But, yeah, she's all good, so glad we got through it.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Next time I know.
- 30:53Speaker 1: That's great. No, I'm glad. I'm glad to know, too,
- 30:55Speaker 1: how you would react.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Yeah, but if you're choking, I got you, dude.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Thank you, man. I appreciate that. And I won't sue you.
- 31:01Speaker 1: How's that?
- 31:01Speaker 3: That's thoughtful of you.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Dude, so what do you think about this? So my
- 31:04Speaker 1: kids came home, I don't know, like a couple weeks ago,
- 31:08Speaker 1: and they were doing some kind of practice at their school.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Their school... They have a really cool facility. Like they
- 31:16Speaker 1: have an indoor football facility. They have a weight room
- 31:19Speaker 1: that's huge, like huge weight room. People constantly go, like
- 31:25Speaker 1: Michael Chandler, the MMA fighter. He's worked out there before.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I don't know why. Maybe he lives close to it
- 31:30Speaker 1: or whatever, but it's kind of open to whoever wants
- 31:32Speaker 1: to use it in a weird way. It's like an
- 31:34Speaker 1: unspoken rule. If you are a legit athlete, we know
- 31:39Speaker 1: who you are. You can use it.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:41Speaker 1: And so they came home the other day and they
- 31:43Speaker 1: said they saw, is it Ty J Spears?
- 31:47Speaker 3: Yeah, Ty J, yeah.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Who's like a running back for the Titans.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Yep.
- 31:51Speaker 1: And then they also saw A.J. Brown working out in there. Yeah.
- 31:58Speaker 1: With him or separately? No, I think them two were
- 32:02Speaker 1: working out together.
- 32:03Speaker 2: What?
- 32:04Speaker 1: But the word gets out like, hey, like A.J. Brown's here.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Spears is here from the Titans.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Like.
- 32:10Speaker 1: And then he said too that they were working out
- 32:14Speaker 1: and they were like lifting weights or whatever. And then
- 32:16Speaker 1: they went out to the field and were running routes
- 32:20Speaker 1: with their helmets on. He said, so they had their
- 32:24Speaker 1: team helmets on. Really? So they were like, that's how
- 32:27Speaker 1: we knew who they were. So my question to them
- 32:30Speaker 1: was like, did you go talk to them?
- 32:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:32Speaker 1: And they were like, no, we were so scared.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Did they want to though?
- 32:35Speaker 1: Of course.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Of course.
- 32:37Speaker 1: And, dude, you know, and I'm thinking, man, like, dude,
- 32:39Speaker 1: you know who went to McAllen High School when I was,
- 32:43Speaker 1: you know, growing up? No one. No one. I mean, dude,
- 32:49Speaker 1: Jay Novacek went to the sports clips.
- 32:52Speaker 3: That's as close as you got?
- 32:54Speaker 1: The tight end for the Cowboys, and, like, you had
- 32:56Speaker 1: to stand in line for three hours to maybe meet him.
- 32:59Speaker 3: Dang.
- 32:59Speaker 1: And these dudes are growing up with, like, MMA fighters,
- 33:03Speaker 1: NFL players. receiver, one of the best receivers. NFL superstars
- 33:11Speaker 1: working out in their high school gym.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Do they find it as a big deal? Because I'm
- 33:16Speaker 3: trying to think from their perspective. They're obviously more exposed
- 33:20Speaker 3: to it these days than you or even I was
- 33:22Speaker 3: at their age. You know, like you see these athletes more,
- 33:25Speaker 3: I guess, on your phone or whatever it might be.
- 33:27Speaker 3: So do you think there's any kind of jaded to them?
- 33:29Speaker 1: That's a good point. No, because even if you saw
- 33:32Speaker 1: them on their phone, it's different than Being able to
- 33:35Speaker 1: see them in person all the time.
- 33:36Speaker 3: It really is.
- 33:37Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Like, I don't know about
- 33:38Speaker 1: you in California. Like, did you have celebs that you
- 33:42Speaker 1: saw all the time? Because in South Texas, dude, we
- 33:44Speaker 1: saw no one. Tone Loke. You know who Tone Loke is? No.
- 33:49Speaker 4: Wow.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Thank God.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah. Okay.
- 33:51Speaker 1: He came down. It was the biggest thing that everyone
- 33:54Speaker 1: talked about for two years, dude. Really? Tone Loke coming
- 33:56Speaker 1: down to play a show. Yeah, no. I mean.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Even in L.A., like, L.A. is not like Nashville, dude. Nashville,
- 34:03Speaker 3: you see all kinds of people.
- 34:05Speaker 1: People that you wouldn't even think you would see here. Yeah.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Dang.
- 34:08Speaker 3: I'm jealous.
- 34:09Speaker 1: I know, man. And, like, to me, if I saw,
- 34:12Speaker 1: back in the day, if it would have been, like,
- 34:14Speaker 1: Warren Moon, you know? Steve Largent. Jerry Rice.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Dude, you would have thought Steve Largent was just some
- 34:22Speaker 3: random white guy.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Probably. But you know what I mean, dude? If he
- 34:26Speaker 1: was just throwing the ball, like, at our high school field. Yeah.
- 34:30Speaker 1: I would have flipped out.
- 34:32Speaker 3: Did they say, like, did anybody go up to him?
- 34:34Speaker 1: Yeah, he said people were talking to him. No problem.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Especially as a kid. Like, you can go up to
- 34:38Speaker 3: him as a kid.
- 34:39Speaker 1: That's what I said.
- 34:40Speaker 3: You know, like, it'd be weird if you and I
- 34:42Speaker 3: went up to him and be like, hey, what up, guys?
- 34:43Speaker 1: And then you know what my son hit me with? Hey, Dad,
- 34:46Speaker 1: do they know you?
- 34:47Speaker 3: Shut up.
- 34:48Speaker 1: No. No, they don't know me.
- 34:49Speaker 3: Dude, you should have said yes.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go up there and say, hey, my
- 34:52Speaker 1: dad's Eddie.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Have you ever listened to Bobby Bone Show?
- 34:55Speaker 1: 25 Whistles? 25 Whistles. That's my dad.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Yeah. You want to come on sometime?
- 34:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:58Speaker 3: I know that guy. That's awesome.
- 35:01Speaker 4: Yeah, dude.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Crazy. They live a different life than we did, man. Yeah.
- 35:05Speaker 3: It's not going to be the last time, though. So
- 35:06Speaker 3: tell them next time they need to say something.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Autograph?
- 35:09Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 35:10Speaker 1: He said, man, if I would have known, I would
- 35:11Speaker 1: have gotten a card and taken it. Yeah. A little awkward, dude.
- 35:15Speaker 3: That's your son.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:17Speaker 1: All right, you got that music?
- 35:18Speaker 3: Yeah, let's hit it.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Let's get out of here. Oh, oh, I'm going to
- 35:21Speaker 1: hit you with the other night. So MMA, Dana White
- 35:27Speaker 1: Contender Series, you heard of this?
- 35:30Speaker 3: No.
- 35:31Speaker 1: So it's like, it's UFC, but this is like the,
- 35:36Speaker 1: basically people are fighting for UFC contracts. Okay. Okay?
- 35:42Speaker 2: Okay.
- 35:43Speaker 1: And so it's only like five nights on a random Tuesday,
- 35:45Speaker 1: five fights on a random Tuesday.
- 35:47Speaker 4: Okay.
- 35:47Speaker 1: But it's MMA. It's UFC. And I bet on it, dude.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I could not freaking lose.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Wait, do you know about these fighters?
- 35:55Speaker 1: No, dude.
- 35:56Speaker 3: You're just blind gambling?
- 35:58Speaker 1: Blind. They come out walking out. This guy looks like
- 36:00Speaker 1: he can kick that dude's butt.
- 36:02Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Dude, there was this one girl the last fight. She
- 36:05Speaker 1: was a plus 2200 underdog.
- 36:11Speaker 3: And you bet on her.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Do you know what that means?
- 36:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Plus 2200 underdog. And I was like, I'll put a
- 36:17Speaker 1: dollar on her. She won. Shut up. She freaking won.
- 36:20Speaker 3: 22 bucks?
- 36:21Speaker 1: Yeah, dude. I spent $ 1 to win $ 22. The whole
- 36:25Speaker 1: night I won 50 bucks. Atta boy. It was a
- 36:28Speaker 1: crazy night, dude. I love it. And you know what?
- 36:30Speaker 1: It got me pumped for football, baby.
- 36:32Speaker 3: That's right. It's coming, man. I'm ready.
- 36:35Speaker 1: What's this game? Is this game in Ireland?
- 36:38Speaker 3: Which one?
- 36:38Speaker 1: The TCU. Oh, is it? I think it's an Ireland game, dude.
- 36:44Speaker 1: When we talked about that, we didn't know. UNCTC, right? Yeah.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right. In Dublin.
- 36:55Speaker 1: In Dublin.
- 36:56Speaker 3: In Dublin.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Try it one more time. All right. That's it.
- 37:02Speaker 1: You good, Kevin?
- 37:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm good. I think I got the wrong song playing,
- 37:05Speaker 3: but it's all good.
- 37:05Speaker 1: You do. I noticed that. I was like, I don't
- 37:07Speaker 1: know what this is. Me neither.
- 37:08Speaker 2: All right.
- 37:08Speaker 1: It works. Thank you, guys. We'll see you all later.
- 37:10Speaker 1: I'm going to blow it out. Goodbye, everyone. Theme song
