- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous Podcast with I R Radio.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello everyone, welcome to Almost Famous, The O G S.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Trista Sutter, and Bob Guinea Here at your Treasure. Um,
- 0:12Speaker 1: it's a very it's a very exciting weekend. I know
- 0:15Speaker 1: we're supposed to do these things to be relatively evergreen,
- 0:17Speaker 1: but I think we I think we should talk about
- 0:19Speaker 1: the fact that, you know, it's a very, very very
- 0:21Speaker 1: big day on Sunday, a huge day, your birthday, your birthday.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I was gonna say Mother's Day, but this is amazing.
- 0:27Speaker 1: You remember my birthday, Trista, because has reminded me. I
- 0:33Speaker 1: knew you love me. See I told you I love
- 0:36Speaker 1: you so much. It's a holiday for so many people
- 0:40Speaker 1: out there, especially any is in my realm. Like, guys,
- 0:44Speaker 1: it's a very special day. My wife, however, doesn't love
- 0:47Speaker 1: that my birthday falls on Mother's Day more often than
- 0:49Speaker 1: my mom. My mom loves it. My mom's like, of course,
- 0:52Speaker 1: you're the finest Mother's Day president anyone could ask for. Oh,
- 0:55Speaker 1: that's really sweet. She's like, that's still president. Just just
- 1:02Speaker 1: don't buy socks. Yes, Oh my gosh, I have a
- 1:06Speaker 1: funny socks story. Um. Our first, Ryan and I are
- 1:11Speaker 1: first Christmas together, I told him before Christmas that I
- 1:14Speaker 1: hated like we talked about what our favorite gifts and
- 1:17Speaker 1: our least favorite gifts were, and I told him that
- 1:20Speaker 1: my least favorite gifts were socks, like I hated getting
- 1:23Speaker 1: socks from Grandma's or moms or dad's or whatever. And
- 1:26Speaker 1: so he wrote a poem of course, all about socks
- 1:30Speaker 1: and gave me because go figure, Um, I probably have
- 1:35Speaker 1: it somewhere. I would not be able to find it
- 1:37Speaker 1: right now, but maybe I can read it next time. Um, yeah,
- 1:40Speaker 1: all about socks. And then he proceeded to gift me
- 1:42Speaker 1: like twenty pairs of socks, so and actually have some
- 1:47Speaker 1: to this day. I got socks a couple of years
- 1:51Speaker 1: ago from Canyon as a gift for something, and it
- 1:55Speaker 1: was awesome. One pair had my Stun's face, Kenyon's face
- 2:00Speaker 1: all over him. Oh love it, and then the other
- 2:03Speaker 1: was my dog Phoebe on her birthday. So I actually,
- 2:09Speaker 1: that's funny. Maybe we ordered from the same place because
- 2:12Speaker 1: I got socks for Ryan that had the kids faces
- 2:15Speaker 1: on them. Were they like black and it's just they're
- 2:17Speaker 1: like face they would have been, but Kenyon decided to
- 2:21Speaker 1: get me like a lime green pair with just a face,
- 2:24Speaker 1: so I would have preferred black. I probably would have
- 2:26Speaker 1: gotten more use out of them. I got to wear
- 2:28Speaker 1: these one. I'm just wearing the rock, you know that
- 2:31Speaker 1: on this party time. So that's party party speaking a
- 2:35Speaker 1: party time. We're here for our fourth episode and I
- 2:38Speaker 1: feel like today we're gonna kind of talk about the
- 2:42Speaker 1: good old days. Obviously we do that every week. Right, Well,
- 2:47Speaker 1: you got you just said it was your first Your
- 2:49Speaker 1: first Christmas was right after you guys got married, right, yeah,
- 2:52Speaker 1: well right after we got engaged. So we were in
- 2:57Speaker 1: what do you call it? Um? I at a rendezvous,
- 3:01Speaker 1: right they call him rendezvous now um or used to. Yeah,
- 3:05Speaker 1: maybe maybe they still do. Maybe that's a similarity. Um. Anyway,
- 3:08Speaker 1: so we were on a rendezvous in Los Angeles. They
- 3:13Speaker 1: had rented a house and we hold up and you know,
- 3:17Speaker 1: cooked food, and actually he gave me a Nintendo like
- 3:22Speaker 1: a little handheld Nintendo thing. I can't remember what they're called,
- 3:27Speaker 1: but um he was like, why did I do this?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Because I wanted All I wanted to do was playing
- 3:32Speaker 1: the game. He's like, can I can? I let's talk
- 3:36Speaker 1: in whisper sweet nothing, hurry up, hurry up. So I
- 3:43Speaker 1: can actually talk to my fiance. So so that was
- 3:49Speaker 1: and then you then a year later was when because
- 3:52Speaker 1: wasn't your wedding in December also it was it was
- 3:54Speaker 1: a year after. So we had a good year to
- 3:57Speaker 1: plan and thankfully had the help of Mindy Weiss, wedding
- 4:03Speaker 1: planner and party planner extraordinaire. Like she's pretty, she's pretty
- 4:07Speaker 1: famous now. I mean she was back then to me
- 4:09Speaker 1: because I was all about the Bridle magazines and I
- 4:12Speaker 1: don't even know if people do that anymore, but you
- 4:14Speaker 1: used to like get I was so excited to get
- 4:17Speaker 1: engaged because then I could finally buy the Bridle magazines
- 4:20Speaker 1: and like flip the ro room and tear all pages
- 4:22Speaker 1: and you but I think he will just pin on
- 4:25Speaker 1: Pinterest now, you know, I'm sure I will say this.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Six years ago when Kenyon and I got married, Um,
- 4:33Speaker 1: she still was doing the ripping the pages out in
- 4:35Speaker 1: the whole bit. And she, you know, in fact, you know,
- 4:39Speaker 1: People Magazine, US Weekly and all that stuff approached us
- 4:41Speaker 1: about exclusives and She's like, no, Dride magazine. That's where
- 4:45Speaker 1: I wanted to be. And that's so that's what we
- 4:48Speaker 1: did because you know, I was I was stocked full
- 4:51Speaker 1: at that point with the with the US weeklies and
- 4:53Speaker 1: the People stuff, So I was like, okay, yeah, yeah,
- 4:56Speaker 1: but it was kind of fun because you know, it's
- 4:58Speaker 1: one of those things where doing it that way it
- 5:00Speaker 1: was actually kind of great because then everybody picked it up,
- 5:03Speaker 1: right because it wasn't just one person. Bridal magazine wasn't
- 5:06Speaker 1: really on the same you know level, I guess as
- 5:09Speaker 1: like a people this weekly. So it was kind of fun.
- 5:12Speaker 1: But I mean, I think about it like that because
- 5:13Speaker 1: it was so two thousand and three. That was the
- 5:15Speaker 1: year the year season aired, right, and then that was
- 5:18Speaker 1: the season that my season or the year my season
- 5:20Speaker 1: aired as well, even though technically I was it was
- 5:23Speaker 1: kind of weird the order of operations there, but technically
- 5:26Speaker 1: it went, um, Alex Michelle, Uh, then Aaron, then I'm
- 5:34Speaker 1: thinking about Andrew, then Andrew, then you then me, right,
- 5:39Speaker 1: So um, it was really kind of a fun year
- 5:44Speaker 1: for me from you know, the fun stuff we got
- 5:46Speaker 1: to do too, and then all of two thousan three,
- 5:49Speaker 1: then my season, my finale airs right before your wedding,
- 5:52Speaker 1: even though we've been done taping for you know, several
- 5:55Speaker 1: months previous to that, since uh, the first week of
- 5:58Speaker 1: July or second week of July and UM, so yeah,
- 6:01Speaker 1: it's kind of fun. But you know, we we we
- 6:03Speaker 1: were talking about some different things that we could think
- 6:05Speaker 1: about from the year two thousand three, like what does
- 6:07Speaker 1: that year bring back? And um. One of the things
- 6:10Speaker 1: I thought was really interesting was the question of um,
- 6:14Speaker 1: in three words, what does two thousand three mean to you?
- 6:18Speaker 1: And I want to know, describe two thousand three in
- 6:21Speaker 1: your three words? Just the sutter. Oh gosh, I mean
- 6:26Speaker 1: number one whirlwind because two thousand three was when my
- 6:32Speaker 1: episode aired, even though I was engaged, so everyone found
- 6:36Speaker 1: out who Ryan was and we started wedding planning. No
- 6:40Speaker 1: actually no, so we actually had our wedding in two
- 6:44Speaker 1: thousand three. So we started wedding planning in two thousand
- 6:48Speaker 1: three when it started airing, because we did a special
- 6:51Speaker 1: on ABC and then we had the wedding into in
- 6:55Speaker 1: two thousand three. So world, I mean talk about whirlwind.
- 6:59Speaker 1: You do like of the shows afterwards and back then
- 7:03Speaker 1: as was the same for you. It was that meant
- 7:05Speaker 1: Oprah and Ellen and the Tonight Show and Good Morning
- 7:10Speaker 1: America and you know all of those, including all the
- 7:15Speaker 1: radio the Ryan Seacrest Show, I was on Gosh, Caroline
- 7:18Speaker 1: Ray do you remember her her so much? Oh my gosh,
- 7:22Speaker 1: so fun, the view like all those and then the
- 7:26Speaker 1: wedding and um, it was it was one. That's the
- 7:32Speaker 1: biggest word obviously was a whirlwind. And then second I
- 7:37Speaker 1: would just say happy like I on the show when
- 7:40Speaker 1: we when we watched I think it was the very first, no,
- 7:42Speaker 1: the second episode when we kind of went back through
- 7:44Speaker 1: my first episode. Um, I remember me saying, that's so
- 7:51Speaker 1: weird to say. I remember me saying, um, I was
- 7:54Speaker 1: watching me on TV. So I remember Trista saying, what
- 8:00Speaker 1: you know, what I want most is to be in
- 8:03Speaker 1: love and and I found it so maybe happy our
- 8:06Speaker 1: love love, you know, being I think the better word. Um.
- 8:11Speaker 1: But that and going back to Oprah, we were on Oprah.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You might have been on this episode with us, or
- 8:17Speaker 1: maybe it was after the show and it was just me,
- 8:19Speaker 1: Ryan and our family, but um, in fact, you might
- 8:23Speaker 1: have been on it. And afterwards on the show, she
- 8:27Speaker 1: said I would love to do your wedding for you.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Would you consider having it on my show? And I
- 8:34Speaker 1: was like, are you kidding? Like no way, Like of
- 8:39Speaker 1: course I would die, Like that would be dream come true.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Like over the top dream come true. And so after
- 8:49Speaker 1: the show, we went back to her conference room and
- 8:53Speaker 1: we met with her EP and her you know, main people.
- 8:57Speaker 1: So I'm sitting at a conference table cross from Oprah Winfrey,
- 9:01Speaker 1: like it was. It was not talking about how she
- 9:04Speaker 1: wanted to make my wedding like the most special day.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And I idolized her at this point, like I just
- 9:12Speaker 1: she was my inspiration. And and so that happened. And
- 9:16Speaker 1: then of course Warner and ABC were like, no way,
- 9:19Speaker 1: we're giving her to you. We're going to do it
- 9:21Speaker 1: on our network and we're going to make a whole
- 9:24Speaker 1: thing out of it. So um, you know, of course,
- 9:27Speaker 1: the rest is history. And however, many million people watched it.
- 9:30Speaker 1: But um, love was definitely in the air that year. Um,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and what would be my third one, I you know,
- 9:41Speaker 1: just a lot of fun. We had so much fun.
- 9:43Speaker 1: We could finally be together, we could finally you know,
- 9:48Speaker 1: be out in public. Ryan had to take a leave
- 9:50Speaker 1: of absence from the fire department because people were pulling
- 9:54Speaker 1: fire alarms to see him. That is illegal, people funny, So, um,
- 10:02Speaker 1: he had to take a leave of absence. And when
- 10:04Speaker 1: he took the leave of absence, we could actually go
- 10:06Speaker 1: do you know all the fun stuff? We had a
- 10:09Speaker 1: show on the Travel Channel. Um, Like, we did a
- 10:12Speaker 1: bunch of really fun stuff that we never thought we
- 10:16Speaker 1: would have been able to do. So those are my three.
- 10:18Speaker 1: We're win, love and fun. I love it. What are yours? Huh?
- 10:24Speaker 1: I knew you're going to ask me that somehow. I
- 10:29Speaker 1: wonder why before you started talking and you're all sweet
- 10:32Speaker 1: nice about it. I was gonna say hot, hot mess,
- 10:34Speaker 1: but then I thought that's probably not the best place.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Um gosh freaking best mic drop. You know, I would say, um,
- 10:54Speaker 1: I would say much like your definitely fun. But it
- 10:58Speaker 1: was a lot of fun, I mean, um, you know,
- 11:01Speaker 1: and it was kind of fun for me too because
- 11:03Speaker 1: I had just you know, like we had talked about
- 11:05Speaker 1: in a previous episode. You know, we we were kind
- 11:08Speaker 1: of we were friends with these producers because it was
- 11:11Speaker 1: the same production team from year to year, and so
- 11:14Speaker 1: it was like, you know, it was almost like I
- 11:16Speaker 1: never left, even though you know when I left on
- 11:19Speaker 1: your show. When I when I went home on your show,
- 11:21Speaker 1: I was kind of like, well, that was a really
- 11:22Speaker 1: fun experience. But then it just sort of snowballed out
- 11:25Speaker 1: of nowhere. I didn't expect it, you know, and started
- 11:28Speaker 1: getting I don't think any of us could and started
- 11:31Speaker 1: to get the call from the Oprah Show. And I'm like, Manning,
- 11:33Speaker 1: I'm the man on the street, you know, cooking a
- 11:36Speaker 1: bunch of bachelor's and I'm like doing all this fun
- 11:38Speaker 1: stuff and she I mean literally I get a call
- 11:41Speaker 1: every couple of weeks, Hey, open way, don't you come
- 11:43Speaker 1: out and do this on the show. I'm like, okay,
- 11:45Speaker 1: you know, and this is all I'm watching your show
- 11:47Speaker 1: and I'm like, you know, I mean, it was kind
- 11:49Speaker 1: of funny because I just said so many dumb things
- 11:52Speaker 1: and they just seemed to use all of them, all
- 11:55Speaker 1: of them always. Bob even lied into this episode. It's like,
- 11:59Speaker 1: you know, it's it's like you guys are on an
- 12:02Speaker 1: exotic dat and somehow I'm there cooking. I mean, I
- 12:04Speaker 1: was like I was, you know, I just Bob here
- 12:08Speaker 1: with us on our you know, our proposal night. I'm
- 12:10Speaker 1: in the background with um. But it got to the
- 12:13Speaker 1: point where it was kind of like just so much
- 12:15Speaker 1: fun and and it was really humbling. I think I
- 12:19Speaker 1: would I would say it was a very humbling year
- 12:22Speaker 1: for me in a very nice way. You know, it's
- 12:24Speaker 1: a really nice way, um to kind of do something
- 12:28Speaker 1: on a whim, and you know, be coming off of
- 12:30Speaker 1: a really rough time in my life. To to do
- 12:33Speaker 1: something on a whim like that and have people embraced
- 12:35Speaker 1: me in such a way it was so nice. And
- 12:37Speaker 1: then you know, to really feel like I was a
- 12:39Speaker 1: part of something too. I mean I felt like I
- 12:41Speaker 1: was a part of your and Ryan's story in such
- 12:43Speaker 1: a nice way too, because I mean, America fell in
- 12:47Speaker 1: love with you guys, but so did I, you know,
- 12:48Speaker 1: I mean, I love both of you. And it was
- 12:50Speaker 1: like there was such a genuine it was such a
- 12:53Speaker 1: genuine um thing between you two. It was it was undeniable.
- 12:58Speaker 1: And I remember I would I would. I would go
- 13:00Speaker 1: on shows and people like, come on, you know, tell
- 13:02Speaker 1: us to true. That's that's crazy, Like no, it's not.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I mean, yes, it's crazy, absolutely bananas, but this is
- 13:10Speaker 1: real and trust me, you know, like I would stake
- 13:13Speaker 1: it would be like trust me on this one. This
- 13:14Speaker 1: is gonna work, you know, and um boom it came true.
- 13:18Speaker 1: But you know, it's also one of those things where
- 13:20Speaker 1: it was like, you know, all you had to do
- 13:22Speaker 1: was was you know, meet you. Of course, but then
- 13:25Speaker 1: also once you met Ryan, You're like, it's not instance here,
- 13:28Speaker 1: bone in this guy's body. This dude is the real deal,
- 13:31Speaker 1: salt of the earth. It's gonna you know, this is
- 13:33Speaker 1: gonna be a spectacular you know, relationship and um. But
- 13:38Speaker 1: still yes, when I say I said fun, I said humbling, um.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And I think I would I think I would say,
- 13:44Speaker 1: um m hmmm, it would be another good one. Uh,
- 13:49Speaker 1: maybe you have to think on that third one for
- 13:50Speaker 1: a bit. Um. Like I said, hot, hot mess was
- 13:54Speaker 1: the was the starter for me. I'm back at this.
- 13:57Speaker 1: But before I went on your show, I was, you know,
- 14:10Speaker 1: a touring musician, and I with tour with all these
- 14:12Speaker 1: big bands, and I thought I was such a big deal,
- 14:14Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden, I wasn't you know.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I decided to give it all up and try to
- 14:18Speaker 1: have a business, and and that business did well for
- 14:20Speaker 1: a little while until two thousand eight on the markage crisis.
- 14:23Speaker 1: But you know, that was it was a lot of
- 14:25Speaker 1: fun in that regard, and I just sort of was like, man,
- 14:27Speaker 1: I I missed doing the fun, just random stuff I
- 14:29Speaker 1: used to do, and then all of a sudden, I'm
- 14:31Speaker 1: on your show and I'm dancing a jig and you know,
- 14:34Speaker 1: talking about Tybo and doing it right. Oh my god,
- 14:39Speaker 1: that's so funny that you say that because Brian and
- 14:42Speaker 1: I went on to do a Billy Blanks video. Oh
- 14:45Speaker 1: no way, I don't know that. That's awesome. We were
- 14:49Speaker 1: in a Billy Blanks video later on. And I think
- 14:52Speaker 1: he was the starter of Tybo, wasn't he? Oh he was?
- 14:55Speaker 1: He was my sense say as it were in that
- 15:01Speaker 1: years later at the derby and he's like, I apparently
- 15:04Speaker 1: said to study the martial arts, you know, so and
- 15:08Speaker 1: I mean nothing nothing offensive to those martial artists out
- 15:11Speaker 1: there that really do it. But Billy had me believing.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I really believed that I could get out there and
- 15:16Speaker 1: do some stuff. But you know, I think it was
- 15:18Speaker 1: just I think, yeah, such a fun centered but yeah,
- 15:22Speaker 1: I mean it was. It was. It was a crazy ride,
- 15:24Speaker 1: you know, and it was so much fun. And it was.
- 15:27Speaker 1: But the Oprah thing, you're right, I mean I remember, Um,
- 15:30Speaker 1: I remember at you know, her birthday time, fifth birthday. Yeah,
- 15:35Speaker 1: you went to her birthday party? I was, yes, I
- 15:38Speaker 1: was so jealous. I was like, I want to go
- 15:41Speaker 1: to that so bad, Bob. I was so and I
- 15:45Speaker 1: remember being there, going is this a mistake? It was
- 15:51Speaker 1: not a mistake. I went to stand in the in
- 15:53Speaker 1: the line to use the one of the bathrooms, and
- 15:56Speaker 1: I'm standing there. I don't even know if I've ever
- 15:58Speaker 1: told you this story. I'm sure I probably have. I'm
- 16:00Speaker 1: standing there and I look and it's Jennifer Aniston and
- 16:04Speaker 1: Brad Pitt. They were still together to right now. I
- 16:06Speaker 1: think you actually did tell me this, because that made
- 16:09Speaker 1: me even more jealous. Um, oh my god, I would die.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I crashed the land right away. So as in standard,
- 16:17Speaker 1: did you say something to him? No, they said, they said, hey,
- 16:20Speaker 1: how are you. I'm like, I'm great, and Jen's like,
- 16:22Speaker 1: Jennifer loved, loved, loved your season. I'm like, oh, thank you.
- 16:26Speaker 1: You know. I'm like, wow. Well, Arnold is walking by.
- 16:29Speaker 1: He's got a cigar. Oh he was a fan. And
- 16:32Speaker 1: so I don't know what came over me, but I
- 16:35Speaker 1: go he says that, why did you say that? And
- 16:42Speaker 1: he just goes He's like, it's an unlit cigar and
- 16:44Speaker 1: he just kind of looked at me like it was
- 16:47Speaker 1: so stupid. I don't know. Maybe I had a buzz.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I don't know what, but I'm like, why did I
- 16:53Speaker 1: like the second I said, I'm like, what, no, how
- 16:55Speaker 1: do Oh my gosh, that is classic yirical. And then
- 17:04Speaker 1: of course the moment with Jen and Brad was gone,
- 17:07Speaker 1: oh yeah over Well thankfully they didn't I don't even
- 17:09Speaker 1: know if they heard that embarrassing um. But later in
- 17:13Speaker 1: the night, you know, I get to meet Tom Hanks
- 17:15Speaker 1: and Tom's like, but Rida, it's Bob. Yes, he's a
- 17:20Speaker 1: huge fan, or at least he was in such a nice,
- 17:24Speaker 1: nice man. And I mean years and years later, this
- 17:27Speaker 1: is two or three years ago, I'm still doing stuff
- 17:28Speaker 1: for the Today's Show, and he's on with Meryl Streep
- 17:32Speaker 1: and a whole crew of people that came on for
- 17:34Speaker 1: that movie they recently did. Now, I clearly haven't seen
- 17:37Speaker 1: him in years, and I've remained a huge fan and loved,
- 17:40Speaker 1: just adored him for how he responded to me that night,
- 17:44Speaker 1: was so inclusive and so kind. And so I see
- 17:47Speaker 1: him and I'm on the set waiting to go on
- 17:49Speaker 1: my my segments next, and you know, at the time
- 17:52Speaker 1: I was I don't even think it was a weekly
- 17:53Speaker 1: thing anymore. It was like twice a month or something
- 17:55Speaker 1: that I was on, and uh, he comes in a
- 17:58Speaker 1: different entrance, like they they bring them all in the back,
- 18:01Speaker 1: the back entrance, and so I don't even think to
- 18:04Speaker 1: go over there and say anything because first of all,
- 18:06Speaker 1: I haven't seen him since Oprah's birthday, and secondly, you know,
- 18:10Speaker 1: I just don't feel like, what the hell am I
- 18:11Speaker 1: going to say? And he comes walking over as their exiting,
- 18:16Speaker 1: he comes walking by to say something to I don't
- 18:18Speaker 1: remember if it was Hoda or who he was talking to,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and he goes, well, well, well, my old pal Bob
- 18:23Speaker 1: too cool to say Hi. It was old buddy Tom. Hello, No, dude,
- 18:29Speaker 1: that is crazy. And I was like, I don't want
- 18:32Speaker 1: to bother you. I said, I saw you over there,
- 18:33Speaker 1: and I thought, and I'm like, and I'm the guy
- 18:35Speaker 1: that I'm afraid that, you know, I'm going to be,
- 18:37Speaker 1: you know, just sort of overstepping yeah. And he's like,
- 18:41Speaker 1: he's like, yeah, it's great to see you, great to
- 18:42Speaker 1: see you doing so well, and it was I can't,
- 18:45Speaker 1: I can't, I can't, I can't. I mean, I don't
- 18:47Speaker 1: have some pretty good stories, but those are great stories,
- 18:50Speaker 1: I will say. Um. One shocking moment for me. I
- 18:54Speaker 1: went to the The Golden Globes after party. And I
- 18:59Speaker 1: was with manager at the time, and of course there's
- 19:03Speaker 1: tons of famous people, including Elton John, which unfortunately wasn't
- 19:07Speaker 1: he wasn't so nice to me. But then so I'm
- 19:11Speaker 1: standing there and Debor Messing and Will and Grace was
- 19:14Speaker 1: one of my favorites at the time. I'm standing there
- 19:17Speaker 1: and I was like, do you think I could go
- 19:18Speaker 1: say hi to Devor Messing? And he's like, yeah, I'll
- 19:21Speaker 1: go for it. So I started turned around and she's
- 19:24Speaker 1: looking right at me, and she goes Trista and she
- 19:29Speaker 1: throws her hands up in the air and she's like,
- 19:32Speaker 1: oh my gosh, how are you? Like I was dead.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I was like, what what's happening? Like someone else named
- 19:38Speaker 1: Trista that's an actress in his ear? What what what
- 19:43Speaker 1: is happening? Um? And then I she ended up introducing
- 19:47Speaker 1: me to Megan Malally because she invited me to come
- 19:50Speaker 1: to a tape being so I went to a taping
- 19:53Speaker 1: met Megan, had such a great time. She had me
- 19:56Speaker 1: on her show a couple of times. Oh met her husband,
- 19:59Speaker 1: Like that was one of my like favorite moments. Yeah,
- 20:04Speaker 1: I mean I was like, oh, I just like the
- 20:07Speaker 1: humbling when you said humbling that was humbling, like to think,
- 20:12Speaker 1: I am just this like small town girl from St. Louis,
- 20:15Speaker 1: Missouri and Indiana, and and had no aspirations to act
- 20:22Speaker 1: or anything. But of course I'm a huge fan of
- 20:25Speaker 1: movies and television shows and and gosh I looked up
- 20:30Speaker 1: to Uh. I just look up to their talents so much.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Another one was um, but anyway, she was amazing. Another
- 20:38Speaker 1: one was I did a cameo on? Oh, what was
- 20:43Speaker 1: the show that Kimberly Williams Paisley did? Um? It was
- 20:46Speaker 1: a sitcom according to Jim. Was she on that one?
- 20:50Speaker 1: I think? According to Jim, so I did a cameo
- 20:53Speaker 1: on there as myself? And is that? Isn't that what
- 20:56Speaker 1: a cameo is? Yes, parallel story to tell when you're done,
- 21:08Speaker 1: because I came but not as myself. Okay, okay, God, Okay.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Then it wasn't a cameo. So I do a cameo
- 21:19Speaker 1: on according to Jim, meet Jim Belushi, which was John Belushi.
- 21:24Speaker 1: It's John Belushi. No, it's Jim Belushi right, his brother
- 21:27Speaker 1: John passed away before that. Yeah, so he's amazing. Anyway,
- 21:32Speaker 1: Kimberly Williams Paisley is there, and we struck up a friendship,
- 21:37Speaker 1: like she's she's I think you know her too? You
- 21:39Speaker 1: did a show with her? Yes? So anyway, yes so
- 21:43Speaker 1: we um we She's so sweet and so kind and
- 21:48Speaker 1: um and she actually invited me. I don't know if
- 21:53Speaker 1: she was dating Brad at the time, because I don't
- 21:55Speaker 1: think they were married yet, but she asked me if
- 21:58Speaker 1: I would want to be in one of his videos,
- 22:02Speaker 1: and so I ended up being in. And it was
- 22:06Speaker 1: always like a funny dream of mine to be in
- 22:08Speaker 1: a music video. I mean, as a dancer. I was like,
- 22:11Speaker 1: I would love it Janet Jackson or Jero or whatever.
- 22:15Speaker 1: But Brad Paisley bring it on. It was so much fun.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I got to act like I was choosing guys. So
- 22:23Speaker 1: they lined up the whole band and I went through
- 22:27Speaker 1: like all the guys and it showed me kind of
- 22:29Speaker 1: dating and they did I t m S, Brad did IM.
- 22:31Speaker 1: All the guys did I t M S. And it
- 22:35Speaker 1: was so fun. So I go through the line and
- 22:38Speaker 1: Brad's at the end and I'm looking at Brad and
- 22:41Speaker 1: then I look down and it's um Jimmy, Uh, little Jimmy.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Do you know who Little Jimmy is? He's like famous
- 22:50Speaker 1: country person. He passed away a few years ago, but
- 22:53Speaker 1: Little Jimmy Dickens is his name if you're in the
- 22:57Speaker 1: country world. Brad was a really good friend of his.
- 22:59Speaker 1: So I get there and he's this old guy with
- 23:02Speaker 1: just like I mean, the big old cowboy hat, and
- 23:04Speaker 1: I feel like he had rhinestones all over his clothes. Um,
- 23:08Speaker 1: and I picked a little Jimmy in the end, so
- 23:10Speaker 1: it was me and little Jimmy. That was my my
- 23:18Speaker 1: ultimate favorite, uh memory from my wedding because not only
- 23:25Speaker 1: did um Brad play like that was a huge surprise
- 23:29Speaker 1: and I'm I'm a huge fan of his. But my
- 23:32Speaker 1: husband took a poem that he had written on our
- 23:36Speaker 1: first date, called something about Her, and he had um
- 23:40Speaker 1: Rick calling who played at our wedding. I know you
- 23:42Speaker 1: know who he was because you were on the dance floor.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Um he played. He was the band that played at
- 23:47Speaker 1: our wedding. He made the poem into a song and
- 23:51Speaker 1: then he recorded it, and then Brad Paisley recorded it.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Um had Something about Her So and actually I think
- 23:58Speaker 1: you can still get it on on iTunes. Yeah, I
- 24:01Speaker 1: remember that part of your wedding so well. I remember thinking,
- 24:03Speaker 1: oh my god, because I always I've always loved country music,
- 24:07Speaker 1: but I grew to love it so much more during
- 24:09Speaker 1: that time because my favorite job that I ever got
- 24:14Speaker 1: to do as a result of The Bachelor was UM
- 24:16Speaker 1: when they brought me in to host the c M
- 24:18Speaker 1: A music festival and I didn't six years in a row,
- 24:23Speaker 1: and I was like, so, I mean, like underneath Tennessee
- 24:27Speaker 1: Titan Stadium interviewing you know, Carrie Underwood and a little
- 24:30Speaker 1: big town you know, Lady A and all the bands,
- 24:33Speaker 1: and you know, it was just so cool and UM
- 24:36Speaker 1: and I really loved it. And then I got to
- 24:39Speaker 1: go out on stage and be like ladies and John
- 24:40Speaker 1: man Keith that you know, it's just so fun. And
- 24:43Speaker 1: I did a couple of those. I have a good
- 24:45Speaker 1: story about that, but you should go in. So anyway, yeah,
- 24:48Speaker 1: I got I got an opportunity to do a cameo
- 24:51Speaker 1: during that time as well as UM as not Bob
- 24:55Speaker 1: from the Bachelor, but my character's name was also Bob,
- 24:58Speaker 1: and strikingly uh similar, learn to me. Okay, you're not
- 25:03Speaker 1: playing yourself, but I'm called Bob and it was called
- 25:09Speaker 1: I'm with Her. Was a show called I'm with Her
- 25:11Speaker 1: and it was UM basically a show that was It
- 25:15Speaker 1: was an ABC sitcom, and um, it was just really
- 25:19Speaker 1: it was funny. And we were at a class reunion
- 25:22Speaker 1: and I come in and I'm like the guy that was,
- 25:24Speaker 1: you know, the quarterback of the football team and the
- 25:27Speaker 1: class president. And I'm like this kind of sounds like me,
- 25:31Speaker 1: like no, not you, not you. I'm like, oh, okay, okay,
- 25:35Speaker 1: well I can. I feel like I know this character
- 25:38Speaker 1: I can identify, but I will say it's easy to act. Yeah,
- 25:42Speaker 1: They're really tough for me, but I will tell you
- 25:44Speaker 1: that it definitely let me know that I was not
- 25:46Speaker 1: not that I ever thought I was, but that I
- 25:48Speaker 1: was not cut out for acting because it was one
- 25:51Speaker 1: of those things where I was kind of like so
- 25:52Speaker 1: self conscious and I have a good story. Sorry for
- 25:57Speaker 1: my reaction, but yeah, just so well, it was just
- 26:01Speaker 1: one of those things. I remember I did the episode
- 26:03Speaker 1: and I was like, I'm sorry, that was horrible, and
- 26:05Speaker 1: they were so nice, like, no, it was great. It
- 26:07Speaker 1: was it was really, it were really funny. It was great,
- 26:09Speaker 1: and I'm like, okay, well it's it's the first and
- 26:11Speaker 1: last time I'll ever be on one of these shows.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Because I was like, I can't do it. I can't
- 26:15Speaker 1: accept myself in this role. And that's why I always
- 26:18Speaker 1: I had always been hosting beforehand, and hosting shows I
- 26:21Speaker 1: was it was easy because I could be myself. You know,
- 26:23Speaker 1: I could say something stupid and I didn't have to
- 26:25Speaker 1: worry about you know. I would still hit you know,
- 26:27Speaker 1: a mark or say a line or whatever that I
- 26:29Speaker 1: was supposed to say. But I didn't have to be
- 26:31Speaker 1: in you know, someone I wasn't. And I remember I was.
- 26:35Speaker 1: I was asked to do like a serious thing one
- 26:36Speaker 1: time and I literally called them back and I'm like,
- 26:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna do you all a favor and just say
- 26:40Speaker 1: no because this is not like I think honestly, I
- 26:44Speaker 1: think it was. I think it was just like C
- 26:46Speaker 1: S I or something like that. And they wanted me
- 26:49Speaker 1: to be like this radio DJ with his huge personality
- 26:51Speaker 1: and comes in and like does all this stuff. And
- 26:53Speaker 1: I'm like, guys, I really appreciated it, and I think
- 26:57Speaker 1: it's so neat and I love the show and I'd
- 26:59Speaker 1: love to do it. Uh, I just think it would
- 27:02Speaker 1: be it would be really bad, and like, I just
- 27:04Speaker 1: don't think it's who I am, you know what. I
- 27:09Speaker 1: think that honestly Saying no to things is really important
- 27:12Speaker 1: when you get um, when you're the lead and you
- 27:15Speaker 1: get asked to do all these millions of things. Saying no,
- 27:19Speaker 1: I think is a very crucial ability because I feel
- 27:23Speaker 1: like so many people, probably even more so these days, um,
- 27:28Speaker 1: because I think probably half of them at least go
- 27:30Speaker 1: on the show because they want to be Instagram famous
- 27:33Speaker 1: and you know, gain followers. Um. But the the ability
- 27:37Speaker 1: to actually turn things down is something that I would
- 27:42Speaker 1: give people advice to learning how to do or at
- 27:46Speaker 1: least really really digging in and figuring out if you
- 27:51Speaker 1: want to do it or not. Now, hosting c M
- 27:53Speaker 1: A UM the Festival, like that's a no brainer over,
- 27:57Speaker 1: Like all of those things no brainers. We did. Um.
- 28:00Speaker 1: We were backstage at UM the American Music So we
- 28:05Speaker 1: went on there a few times, and I mean we
- 28:08Speaker 1: got to meet Willie Nelson, who was amazing. Um uh
- 28:13Speaker 1: not Ashley Judd, but her sister. Did you hear what
- 28:18Speaker 1: I known? Who I like to hear about the Hall
- 28:22Speaker 1: of Fame too, I know, the next day, next day,
- 28:27Speaker 1: So sad it makes me want to cry right now.
- 28:29Speaker 1: So let's change topics. Um. But like those kind of
- 28:32Speaker 1: things were super easy because as long as they fit
- 28:35Speaker 1: in your schedule, then of course go do it. But
- 28:37Speaker 1: it's the things that you say no to that I
- 28:40Speaker 1: think are really critical into developing like who you are.
- 28:43Speaker 1: But so we got asked I would love about it because,
- 28:48Speaker 1: oh my gosh, so embarrassing. So we got asked to
- 28:50Speaker 1: do this show called Everwood. I think it was called
- 28:52Speaker 1: Everwood on the c w M. I feel like in
- 28:54Speaker 1: the day it might have been two thousand three or
- 28:57Speaker 1: two thousand four, was very early on in our relations ship.
- 29:02Speaker 1: We both we both go on it, not actors at all,
- 29:05Speaker 1: had to be somebody different, or maybe we were playing ourselves.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Actually we were in this coffee shop. You know, they
- 29:11Speaker 1: give us lines whatever, they ended up not even using us,
- 29:16Speaker 1: So you're on the cutting room floor. I'm so sorry
- 29:22Speaker 1: we went a different direction. I'm like, we sucked. We're
- 29:28Speaker 1: not gonna have a couple madly love in a coffee
- 29:30Speaker 1: shop in this episode. We're going to do something different.
- 29:34Speaker 1: It was both embarrassing and a point that I was
- 29:38Speaker 1: like very grateful because we were horrible, and I'm like,
- 29:41Speaker 1: if anyone sees this, we're never going to live it down.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Do you know how funny that I love that because
- 29:46Speaker 1: you're right though about saying no to stuff, like I
- 29:48Speaker 1: I remember saying no to some stuff to a point
- 29:51Speaker 1: where I actually, uh, I I lost some representation I
- 29:54Speaker 1: had at the time because they were just like really, yeah,
- 29:57Speaker 1: So I didn't want to be the guy and this
- 29:59Speaker 1: is gonna terrible, but I didn't want to be that guy,
- 30:02Speaker 1: you know, so you know, the Fear Factor would call
- 30:05Speaker 1: it me like we're doing celebrity Fear Factor, and I'm like,
- 30:08Speaker 1: you can do it. Ryan did. I'm like, well, nobody up.
- 30:10Speaker 1: But Ryan. Ryan was also great like American Ninja Warrior
- 30:13Speaker 1: and all that kind of stuff. I'm like, yeah, yeah,
- 30:15Speaker 1: I'm not that guy. You totally could have done it.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I wish you would have. It would have been so
- 30:20Speaker 1: much afraid. I was afraid to like eat, you know,
- 30:23Speaker 1: cow things and stuff like that, and I said no, okay.
- 30:26Speaker 1: So so I'm it's funny that you're bringing this up
- 30:28Speaker 1: because they are airing this right now. Two people have
- 30:32Speaker 1: reached out to me saying, oh, I'm at the nail
- 30:35Speaker 1: salon and I'm just watching Ryan on Fear Factor right now.
- 30:38Speaker 1: And this was probably two thousand three, two thousand four
- 30:41Speaker 1: as well, and they asked us both and I was like, hell, no,
- 30:47Speaker 1: no way am I eating anything gross? And of course,
- 30:51Speaker 1: so we get there, so it's just Ryan and he
- 30:54Speaker 1: ends up winning, which was amazing. But we get right
- 30:57Speaker 1: so there's anything I think you said? No? So they
- 31:01Speaker 1: came to me and I'm like, wait, I got to
- 31:02Speaker 1: go against Ryan in a contest. Been there, done that,
- 31:07Speaker 1: lost that? All right? So okay, so and yeah, me too.
- 31:12Speaker 1: I would not want to compete against my husband in anything.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Um okay. So so we get there and Joe Rogan
- 31:20Speaker 1: brings me in. Okay, So all the contestants are there
- 31:24Speaker 1: and I'm not a contestant, so I'm like, why is
- 31:26Speaker 1: he bringing me in? Okay, fine, I'll just play along.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Um so I'm playing along and he's like, okay, Tristas,
- 31:31Speaker 1: so we hear that you didn't want to eat anything,
- 31:34Speaker 1: but will you eat five worms for a thousand dollars
- 31:39Speaker 1: to your favorite charity? And I was like that's not fair,
- 31:42Speaker 1: like I have to first of all, they were low balling,
- 31:46Speaker 1: yet you know they had a big and you're like
- 31:49Speaker 1: I literally said to him, I said, why don't you
- 31:52Speaker 1: make it five and I'll do it? And he said, nope,
- 31:55Speaker 1: We got a thousand for you, and I'm like, this
- 31:57Speaker 1: is not fair, like I actually up to because I
- 32:00Speaker 1: will look like a total bit if I don't do it.
- 32:04Speaker 1: So I made him, um he blended up worms for
- 32:08Speaker 1: me and I ate blended up worms like a like
- 32:10Speaker 1: a smoothie, a worm smoothie, like a worm smoothie. It
- 32:14Speaker 1: all it tasted like was dirt. That's all. It tasted
- 32:17Speaker 1: like dirt. I just drink a dirt smoothie. I I so,
- 32:20Speaker 1: I said, I'm so glad I didn't do that one.
- 32:23Speaker 1: And then Celebrity bull Riding. I'm like, now, what the
- 32:26Speaker 1: hell is that? I've never I don't remember that show.
- 32:29Speaker 1: They were They were like five, like back to back things.
- 32:32Speaker 1: I'm like, there was a boxing one, the boxing one.
- 32:35Speaker 1: I wonder if that was one of them. They didn't
- 32:37Speaker 1: call me for that one. They probably knew that I'd
- 32:39Speaker 1: be an embarrassment. Um I. But the ones thing called
- 32:43Speaker 1: I remember there were several and I'm like mm hmm,
- 32:45Speaker 1: like to me, I go, look, guys, I remember saying
- 32:49Speaker 1: this to my my Asian at the time. I was like, I, um,
- 32:53Speaker 1: I have no problem not being the famous guy, but
- 32:56Speaker 1: still like you know, interview with people that are famous
- 32:58Speaker 1: and stuff like that. I don't need to be the
- 33:00Speaker 1: celebrity bull rider. I'll interview you know, I'd love to
- 33:04Speaker 1: do that, but I'm not a bull You didn't want
- 33:08Speaker 1: to put celebrity bull rider on your resume. I'm like,
- 33:12Speaker 1: I'm not even a celebrity bike rider. Okay, I can't
- 33:15Speaker 1: ride a ball And it was just funny though, the
- 33:18Speaker 1: point where I was just like, and so I'm like,
- 33:21Speaker 1: I want to be the guy interviewing people, but I
- 33:22Speaker 1: don't want you know, I'll take those guys, but I
- 33:24Speaker 1: don't want to be the guy that has to put
- 33:26Speaker 1: myself out there and embarrass myself. It wasn't like I
- 33:31Speaker 1: was I thought I was better than anything. It was
- 33:33Speaker 1: that I was like, I know that's going to be tragic,
- 33:35Speaker 1: and you guys just want me on there for comic
- 33:37Speaker 1: relief because I'm gonna suck at that. You know. What
- 33:41Speaker 1: I do want to do though, what I am dying
- 33:44Speaker 1: to do. So we have been on a couple of
- 33:45Speaker 1: game shows, one being Lingo where I think, you know,
- 33:48Speaker 1: we talked about this with Shandy Um. I think that
- 33:51Speaker 1: was on the Game show Network and we did who
- 33:54Speaker 1: Wants to be a Millionaire when Chris Harrison was hosting
- 33:56Speaker 1: It one too so much fun? Oh my god, how
- 34:00Speaker 1: much does that get in your head? Standing there with
- 34:02Speaker 1: all those people and the lights and the I was
- 34:04Speaker 1: so stressed out. I I totally I'm usually fine in
- 34:08Speaker 1: front of the cameras, like if I'm playing myself, being myself,
- 34:11Speaker 1: I'm asking or answering questions about myself. But I felt
- 34:16Speaker 1: the pressure like I did need it horrible, you know,
- 34:19Speaker 1: we I did pretty bad too. But it was one
- 34:21Speaker 1: of those things where I actually knew the right answer
- 34:23Speaker 1: for fifty dollars and I figured it out in my
- 34:26Speaker 1: head because I finally got the flow of the show.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Remember how he told you they want you to rationalize
- 34:32Speaker 1: this thing outside. Well, I had already used most of
- 34:34Speaker 1: my lifelines, and so I'm at this point and I
- 34:36Speaker 1: had no lifelines left, and I'm going for fifty grand.
- 34:40Speaker 1: If I get it wrong, if I'm sorry, if I
- 34:43Speaker 1: if I walk away, I walk away with like twenty dollars.
- 34:46Speaker 1: If I get it right, I get fifty tho. If
- 34:48Speaker 1: I get it wrong, I go back down to ten.
- 34:50Speaker 1: And I'm like, I know the answer on this one,
- 34:53Speaker 1: and I don't even give you the question if you'd
- 34:55Speaker 1: like to try, and yes, I want to know. Yes,
- 34:58Speaker 1: of course, here was a question, and because I want
- 35:00Speaker 1: to right, this is a good one, and I rationalized
- 35:04Speaker 1: it out loud for it. And here's how I got so.
- 35:05Speaker 1: The question was Ben and Jerry, famous ice cream tours
- 35:09Speaker 1: or whatever you call them, have created some of the
- 35:11Speaker 1: world's most iconic flavors despite one of them suffering from
- 35:17Speaker 1: this ailment. And so right away in my head, I'm like,
- 35:21Speaker 1: either he's lactose or he can't smell and taste. You
- 35:24Speaker 1: can't taste, right, So up pops my options and my
- 35:29Speaker 1: options are the clinical terms for these things. So anasma,
- 35:36Speaker 1: the next is a nasmia, the next one is a
- 35:40Speaker 1: bombs ea, and the third one is blama. And I'm like, yeah,
- 35:44Speaker 1: So I start rationalizing at it with my outside voice,
- 35:46Speaker 1: and I don't have the ability to use my lifeline anymore,
- 35:49Speaker 1: so I go, um, oh, no, I do I have
- 35:51Speaker 1: one lifeline left. I'm sorry. I get to bring my
- 35:53Speaker 1: friend out of the audience that I brought with me
- 35:55Speaker 1: to help me. So I called it my buddy, my
- 35:57Speaker 1: buddy Ritchie, who lives there in New York, and he
- 36:00Speaker 1: comes out and he's like I got nothing for you. Man.
- 36:02Speaker 1: I'm like Richie, like help me, help me talk through this.
- 36:05Speaker 1: And he's like, well, I I mean he's like literally
- 36:08Speaker 1: he's like a deer in the headlight, so so unusual
- 36:10Speaker 1: for him. So I go, bro, I'm like, come on, help. Yeah,
- 36:13Speaker 1: he goes, I love Jerry Garcia. That's all I know.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I love Jerry g So that helps me none. So
- 36:19Speaker 1: I go, okay, So I say it out loud to Chris.
- 36:20Speaker 1: I'm like, here's what I think. You know, Look, I'm
- 36:23Speaker 1: going through these things, and obviously there is you know,
- 36:26Speaker 1: probably rooted in Latin. And so when I see analysia,
- 36:29Speaker 1: I think it's gonna sound terrible. The first four letters, right, A, N,
- 36:34Speaker 1: A L. I'm like, oh, stop it. Maybe that's something
- 36:37Speaker 1: that has to do with like lactose intolerance. I don't know.
- 36:41Speaker 1: I'm not a doctor. I was a communication snator in college. Okay, uh,
- 36:45Speaker 1: cut me some slack, and I don't even do that
- 36:47Speaker 1: well for God's sake. So then the next one I
- 36:49Speaker 1: see is a nasmia A N O S and I'm like,
- 36:52Speaker 1: nas nah, it's like your nose. I'm like, well, maybe
- 36:54Speaker 1: maybe that's like they can't smell and therefore they can't taste.
- 36:57Speaker 1: I don't know the other two. I just kind of
- 37:00Speaker 1: rule out right away. So Chris, you know the lights.
- 37:03Speaker 1: He's okay, you need to make a decision, and I go, okay,
- 37:06Speaker 1: here's my decision. I know what the right answer is.
- 37:10Speaker 1: It's a nasmia. It's be a nasmia. And I know
- 37:12Speaker 1: everyone that's playing along at home and follow me along
- 37:14Speaker 1: at home. You're gonna make fun of me for walking
- 37:16Speaker 1: away right now, but I'm gonna walk away because I'm not.
- 37:18Speaker 1: It's a charity's money. Sure I want to give him
- 37:22Speaker 1: twenty grand, so I'm gonna walk away or whatever the
- 37:25Speaker 1: dollar value. I was at, like, I'm gonna give them that,
- 37:28Speaker 1: but I know that's the right answer. He's like, you're
- 37:30Speaker 1: finally answer, and I'm like, yeah, and I think it's Chris.
- 37:33Speaker 1: But Chris was a really Chris playing with me. He's playing.
- 37:37Speaker 1: He's like, are you sure you want to walk? And
- 37:39Speaker 1: I'm like, he's not. He's not like winking at me
- 37:41Speaker 1: or anything like he doesn't give you anything. He gives
- 37:45Speaker 1: me nothing, seriously, So I walk away, and sure enough,
- 37:47Speaker 1: it was be a nasmia. They couldn't you could have
- 37:51Speaker 1: gotten fifty bummer. Oh, I'm so sorry that is such
- 37:56Speaker 1: a bummer. I mean, we we had a our last
- 37:59Speaker 1: question was like who was recently on the cover of
- 38:03Speaker 1: a RP And it was like Gwen stef between Gwen
- 38:08Speaker 1: Stefani and an older rapper. I can't remember which one,
- 38:13Speaker 1: like Dr Dre. I think it was Dr Dre, Yeah,
- 38:16Speaker 1: like somebody. Anyway, I ended up guessing Gwen Stefani and
- 38:21Speaker 1: um it was it was Dr Dre and I was
- 38:24Speaker 1: so mad at myself. Um so we ended up getting
- 38:26Speaker 1: the like ten thousand dollars. But but so we I
- 38:30Speaker 1: loved that show. But I it drives me nuts when
- 38:33Speaker 1: all of the people that are on the show these
- 38:37Speaker 1: days get to do family feud over and over and
- 38:42Speaker 1: over and exactly, so let's we're we We would freaking
- 38:50Speaker 1: crush that game. So maybe it's me versus you, like
- 38:54Speaker 1: our family or people. Maybe it's my season versus Andrew
- 38:59Speaker 1: sees in. I mean, how much fun would that be
- 39:02Speaker 1: if it was O G s So, me and you
- 39:04Speaker 1: and Ryan and two other people from our season or
- 39:07Speaker 1: producers or whatever, and then Andrew season like or even
- 39:10Speaker 1: it would be so much fun, even when they've done
- 39:12Speaker 1: the bachelor versus bachelorrettes? Do the first five bachelors versus
- 39:16Speaker 1: the first five bachelorty? I mean there's that these are
- 39:20Speaker 1: I think they'll see some incredibly intelligent and insightful responses.
- 39:23Speaker 1: I think so too. That's right, I know. So Hello ABC,
- 39:28Speaker 1: Hello ABC, and Steve Harvey Hello, we love you. Okay,
- 39:45Speaker 1: So here's our list of some questions that were asked
- 39:48Speaker 1: to us that we need to answer. So are you ready,
- 39:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna run these down. Okay, all right,
- 39:53Speaker 1: So I've got one that I think is really funny.
- 39:55Speaker 1: And um, I've been asked this question so many times
- 39:59Speaker 1: that I have this stupid pat answer where someone will say,
- 40:01Speaker 1: you know, do ever your google yourself? And I'm like,
- 40:03Speaker 1: only when my wife set it up? Wait. Let um,
- 40:06Speaker 1: so there's a question, but too soon? Is that? Is
- 40:13Speaker 1: that too much? Um? So, you know, have you ever
- 40:16Speaker 1: Googled yourself? I sure the answer has to be yes,
- 40:19Speaker 1: right Anyone that says that, as I think a liar, Yeah,
- 40:21Speaker 1: a liar. You have to google yourself, like to know
- 40:25Speaker 1: what's going I mean it's not like I do it
- 40:27Speaker 1: every day, but I feel like if if, maybe if
- 40:30Speaker 1: something is supposed to come out, you know that hasn't
- 40:34Speaker 1: come out, like an article or something like that, then
- 40:36Speaker 1: maybe I'll google it. But you know, thanks to Google, um,
- 40:40Speaker 1: there's a Google Alert that you can sign up your
- 40:44Speaker 1: name your family's names, Like I could sign up my
- 40:46Speaker 1: kids names and I'll get an alert when any article
- 40:51Speaker 1: or my name or their name ever shows up in
- 40:54Speaker 1: an article or in any way shape or form, you know,
- 40:56Speaker 1: like in the paper locally or whatever. Um. So thanks
- 41:00Speaker 1: to Google Alert, you really don't have to Google your
- 41:03Speaker 1: name anymore. But you're right, Like, who doesn't google their
- 41:06Speaker 1: name or hasn't ever before? Right, Yeah, it's fed to
- 41:09Speaker 1: you here. This is all about you, you know, but
- 41:13Speaker 1: people are lying. I mean people google people they're going
- 41:16Speaker 1: to date and people they work with, and you know,
- 41:19Speaker 1: all google people. If I if I met them, and
- 41:22Speaker 1: I'm like, how do I know them and what have
- 41:25Speaker 1: they done that it should connect me to them because
- 41:28Speaker 1: I have a really hard time putting, um like, remembering
- 41:32Speaker 1: people if I don't see them in the place that
- 41:33Speaker 1: I so, you know, if I want to know more
- 41:35Speaker 1: about somebody whom I just met. But yeah, you're right,
- 41:41Speaker 1: of course, both of everybody does think you know, as
- 41:45Speaker 1: far as favorite celebrities and the most shocking celebrities that
- 41:48Speaker 1: you know watch the show. But how about for you
- 41:50Speaker 1: as an individual when you're you know, when you're home.
- 41:52Speaker 1: We were talking about, like, you know what, I was
- 41:54Speaker 1: laughing about the fact that a two thousand three I
- 41:57Speaker 1: was doing, you know, all this crazy stuff and now
- 41:59Speaker 1: in two to I'm you know, listening to you know,
- 42:02Speaker 1: watching Mowana three times a week. You know how often, yes,
- 42:07Speaker 1: how people think you probably get recognized every day, But
- 42:09Speaker 1: how often do you really get recognized? And I bet
- 42:12Speaker 1: it's very similar to what happens to me. I'm sure
- 42:16Speaker 1: it's very similar. Um, not that often. We live in
- 42:19Speaker 1: a very small mountain town veil or near Veille. If
- 42:24Speaker 1: there are people here visiting, and I happen to be
- 42:28Speaker 1: in Beaver Creek, say, or at a restaurant or you know,
- 42:32Speaker 1: but I don't normally go to like the I would say,
- 42:37Speaker 1: touristy places that people come here to, you know, to
- 42:41Speaker 1: go to or to go see or Yeah. So um
- 42:46Speaker 1: at home, and if I'm traveling, it's a different story.
- 42:50Speaker 1: You know, people do still recognize me. I was at
- 42:54Speaker 1: a dance competition and it was so sweet and people
- 42:57Speaker 1: are I will say, are still the very very sweet
- 43:01Speaker 1: like when they come up there like I just love you,
- 43:04Speaker 1: I watched the show with my mom when she was
- 43:07Speaker 1: dying in the hospital, or like you know these stories
- 43:10Speaker 1: I named my son after Ryan, or my daughter after you,
- 43:13Speaker 1: or you know, so people have those kind of stories.
- 43:16Speaker 1: But I was recently approached at a dance competition when
- 43:21Speaker 1: I was talking to a friend and this lady came
- 43:24Speaker 1: up and just said, I just adore you, you know,
- 43:26Speaker 1: something sweet like that, and and my friend was like,
- 43:29Speaker 1: how often does that happen? Does that still happen to you?
- 43:32Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh gosh, no, I mean, you know,
- 43:34Speaker 1: once in a blue moon people do or and they'll say, oh,
- 43:38Speaker 1: I follow you on Instagram, how are you? Like, how's
- 43:41Speaker 1: your how's Ryan's health doing? You know, I love watching
- 43:44Speaker 1: your daughter do the dance competitions like things like that,
- 43:47Speaker 1: so they kind of follow along with my life. But
- 43:51Speaker 1: once in a blue moon, yeah, I'm sure it's the same. Yeah,
- 43:54Speaker 1: I think I think, you know, when I'm like kind
- 43:57Speaker 1: of like what you said, When I'm when I'm putting
- 43:58Speaker 1: myself out there for something, it's a totally different experience.
- 44:02Speaker 1: And everyone has always been incredibly kind over the years,
- 44:05Speaker 1: which I think is pretty awesome because I mean, you know,
- 44:07Speaker 1: you occasionally have I mean, I've never even really had
- 44:09Speaker 1: anyone who's done anything worse than being like, oh I
- 44:11Speaker 1: don't watch that stuff. Can I get a picture? That's
- 44:14Speaker 1: as bad as it gets. But um, I've always felt
- 44:16Speaker 1: like really fortunate in that, you know, people were always
- 44:18Speaker 1: so nice to me over the years. But I mean,
- 44:20Speaker 1: I guess I probably get more of people will walk
- 44:23Speaker 1: up to me and go, how do we know each other?
- 44:26Speaker 1: Do I know you? Hye? You know? How do I
- 44:29Speaker 1: know you? Did we get to college together? Exactly? I
- 44:32Speaker 1: mean I used to. It got to the point where
- 44:34Speaker 1: I was getting that one so much that I would go, well, yeah,
- 44:36Speaker 1: I was in your English class, Mr Johnson, And they'd
- 44:40Speaker 1: be like and then I'd be like, no, that's not
- 44:42Speaker 1: you know. But I mean, you know, it was always
- 44:44Speaker 1: one of those things where I'd be like, I don't
- 44:45Speaker 1: think we know each other. I just have one of
- 44:47Speaker 1: those faces, you know, And then about later they'll come
- 44:49Speaker 1: up and go, you could have just told me, well, yeah,
- 44:52Speaker 1: exactly right, I do. I will because I feel like
- 44:58Speaker 1: if they figure it out, they will like be like
- 45:01Speaker 1: why didn't you just say something? But I can't think.
- 45:04Speaker 1: It depends on the time, So if I'm like in
- 45:06Speaker 1: a hurry, then I'll just be like, oh, I'm so sorry,
- 45:10Speaker 1: I'm not sure. And if I've got time, I'm like,
- 45:13Speaker 1: do you watch the shoe? You know? Did you ever
- 45:15Speaker 1: see the Bachelor? The Bachelorette um or it was a
- 45:19Speaker 1: long time ago. You probably won't really say that pretty
- 45:22Speaker 1: much a daily yeah. So my wife is so anti
- 45:24Speaker 1: like she doesn't want to be in photos, so whenever
- 45:27Speaker 1: she she just hates it. So like she'll be hones,
- 45:32Speaker 1: can I get a picture with you? And she'll always go,
- 45:33Speaker 1: I'll take it for you. And they'll say how do
- 45:36Speaker 1: I how do I know you? You know? Can I
- 45:38Speaker 1: get a picture with you? Or or they'll open but
- 45:40Speaker 1: like how do I know you? And if she's not
- 45:42Speaker 1: moved for it, because she's busy and she's always really
- 45:44Speaker 1: kind about it, but she'll go, um, yeah, he's not
- 45:46Speaker 1: gonna tell you he was the bachelor, uh and he
- 45:48Speaker 1: was just the season and then he was the bachelor himself,
- 45:51Speaker 1: you know, maybe saw him on Oprah or the Today
- 45:53Speaker 1: Show And I'll go exactly, and then she'll go, here,
- 45:55Speaker 1: can your phone, get a picture. I'm like, what are
- 45:57Speaker 1: you doing? We got a fast check, we gotta get
- 45:59Speaker 1: out here, we gotta pick up the fast track, and
- 46:00Speaker 1: I don't want to be in it, and I'm not
- 46:02Speaker 1: taking a picture right now, not doing so. I have
- 46:06Speaker 1: a funny story that just pumped into my head about
- 46:09Speaker 1: so it wasn't me, But I don't know if this
- 46:12Speaker 1: ever happened to me, but I think it was Michael Stagliano,
- 46:15Speaker 1: who I can't remember which which season he was on,
- 46:18Speaker 1: but he was. He was one of the kind of
- 46:20Speaker 1: O G s um He got asked to take a
- 46:24Speaker 1: picture someone in the park or something, and someone walked
- 46:27Speaker 1: up to him and said, here, can you could could
- 46:30Speaker 1: we take a picture, handed him the phone and he
- 46:33Speaker 1: went to go like get in the picture, like be
- 46:35Speaker 1: the subject, but they wanted him to take a picture
- 46:38Speaker 1: of them. I had a group of girls do that
- 46:42Speaker 1: to me, honestly, God. I was in where was I
- 46:45Speaker 1: like it? I think I was a Puerto Rico or something,
- 46:48Speaker 1: and they came up and they're like all on bikinis
- 46:51Speaker 1: and stuff like can we get a picture? And I said, yeah,
- 46:54Speaker 1: of course, and they I'm like saying, I like waiting
- 46:57Speaker 1: there and they go, will you take it for us?
- 47:00Speaker 1: And I go, oh my god, of course, I'm so sorry.
- 47:02Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. So I go over and I go
- 47:04Speaker 1: to take the picture and they go, all right, we're
- 47:06Speaker 1: totally kidding. We just we just want to mess. That's awesome.
- 47:11Speaker 1: It's oh, you know, but I mean I will say, like,
- 47:19Speaker 1: maybe you would laugh about it, but I usually will
- 47:22Speaker 1: default to that now after they happened to be the
- 47:24Speaker 1: one time when they'll go picture, like, yeah, where do
- 47:26Speaker 1: you guys want me to take it of you? And
- 47:27Speaker 1: they'll go total with you and I'm like, okay, that's better.
- 47:33Speaker 1: All right. Well, I love this little UM stroll down
