- 1:46[SPEAKER_10]: I've been working on it.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_07]: And hi, my name is Robin Muffett, calling in from Japan.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_07]: I will be playing Courtney Ross, a newscaster, a boy, Bum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-
- 2:08[SPEAKER_04]: Alright, we're going to start with Captain Britain's 17 title, the revenge of the Red Skull that we just retired the Red Skull chat feature on my show, which many of you joined me for.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_04]: Now we're jumping back into his world here.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_04]: This was published in February 1977, Gary Friedrich is the writer with her trippy on pencils Fred Kita on Inks, George Rusos on Colors, Irf, what's on a be on letters and Larry Lieber, brother of Stan Lee is the editor.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_04]: This is the same creative team on all of the books, so I won't repeat that.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_04]: The cover of this issue is Captain Britain back in another adventure in full color.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_04]: If you recall, he's been facing an evil, super-computer, mastermind, the one that killed his parents and brainwashed his sister.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to get back to that guy in a while, but he's not going to be here for a minute.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_04]: Captain Britain's
- 2:48[SPEAKER_04]: also been evading the police who want the question him about many illicit things, including bodies at his house.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_04]: And now he's teamed up with Captain America, who's hunting down some rumors of fascists on the rise in London.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_04]: So there he is now, battle staff in hand, back to back with the Star Spangled Vendor himself, shielding his hand as they are surrounded by a group of white super Nazis, with crew cuts all of them in green, front-be uniforms, with green masks, giant red swastikas
- 3:18[SPEAKER_04]: It was a trap with surrounded by Nazis and Captain America.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_04]: Keep slugging if this is the end will go down fine.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, out of my love, you're Captain America, boys.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_04]: More than that.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_04]: Meanwhile, in the heart of London, a group of civilians watches a television news segment through a store window.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_07]: and we repeat, do not panic.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_07]: The strange craft cited above the city moments ago was the shield heller carrier from America, visiting Britain on a friendly mission.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_07]: We repeat, there is no cause for alarm.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: Now if they're willing to tell us before we roll round for cover.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, some friendly mission it is that scarce 7 million people to death.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, don't make such a fuss.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: Remember that Colonel Nick Fury was a great hero in the wall.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_07]: Art, he's only a gang.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_07]: I want to see Captain Britain.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: Look, look at the flying car.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: I bet Colonel Fury himself is inside.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that wine.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's a turbine.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_09]: Ah, a death contraption for a death world.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_09]: I'm going back to the pub.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_04]: Sure enough, a car flies by and inside that daft contraption, sit Nick Fury and Radcliffe.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_10]: So you're Todd Radcliffe, the headhunter of this strike outfit I've been hearing about.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_03]: That's Radcliffe, you're right.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_03]: But I must say you're rather older than I expect it, planning to retire soon.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, the shade.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, just as soon as a weirdo's in this world's up killing each other.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_10]: Now step on it.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_10]: We got us in a appointment at 10 Downing Street.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_04]: But begging the prime minister's pardon, we must once more switch scenes.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_04]: This time to a CD dockyard pub.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_04]: As both stripped in the gray water outside, let's step within the hangman's house pub.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_04]: A CD redheaded man is trying his hand at recruiting.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_03]: different.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_03]: You know, as I'm happy with conditions in this country as we are, the members of my organization and myself and it's good men like yourselves draw it all right.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_03]: We'll be running the show.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_04]: What is this?
- 5:08[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know mate, you seem all right enough, but I can't swallow what you spout.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_10]: I mean, you're talking revolution.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_03]: I am a tool for that.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_03]: That's get it.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_03]: We need the wisdom of age, as well as the strength of youth, please come to our meeting.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_03]: Give us out.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_03]: You've nothing to lose.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_03]: And it's for the good and the entire world.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_04]: This is giving very a marriage is what brings us together.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_04]: While at the same moment in an abandoned warehouse on London's Dockland, the Red Skull appears on a screen before more green-masked hydrogens.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_02]: And this gathering is but one of many meetings taking place while Britain.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: Each day our numbers increase.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_02]: Soon we'll be strong enough to attack the power-med capitalists and bring them to their knees.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: and you can be part of this moment in history listen to our glorious leader each day conditions worse and rich men become richer while the poor wallow in a quarter mile of endless poverty but if you join me
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: we will overcome the inequities of our supposedly democratic leaders in the new order, the 4th Reich, will men or in the new order, the 4th Reich, all men will live as equals, so about the red skyl.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, I'll red skull.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_04]: Not C2.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's me, I forgot.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: I was so in the moment.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_04]: This red skull is giving Cookie Monster just a little bit.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for noticing my recent and the civilians are listening and what fit to be will you remain in the gas row when are you doing us you know fight for human rights it makes sense let's sign up as always poverty turns gullible men into ponds for those who crave power and boy we're going to be talking about that light later so please remember
- 7:13[SPEAKER_02]: Is this not me?
- 7:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, no, I just started reading.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sorry, Giza, please go ahead.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_02]: Unless you wanted to do the cookie one stuff.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: Right, as always poverty turns gullible men into pawns, for those who crave power, and tyrannical absolute power shall be mine here in Britain, the accursed nation whose stubborn will defeated the Fiora,
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: how I lose the British and how I shall make them pay.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: But before I can achieve my cherished goal, I must remove an obstacle, come Captain America, just stop it for that.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_04]: And now before you forget who's mag this is, we return to the two captains who are suddenly okay and outside in the snow.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: Since we were ambushed at the entrance to the manner, I'll bet there are more traps inside, but perhaps we can allude them by entering through this old wine cellar.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: We should be safe.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: The cellar hasn't been used for years.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_09]: How did you happen to know about it?
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say I spent a lot of time around Braddock Manor when I was allowed.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: Here is the trapdoor that leaves directly into the computer room.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: If we move quietly and act quickly, perhaps we can deactivate the machine before it detects us.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_09]: Back in Peter most of the something else.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_09]: Let's go.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Behind that door is the stairway to compute the complex.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: No trap so far.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm sure we'll be monitored from the instant we open the door.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_09]: We got to move too fast for the miners to keep up with us.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm just going to invite all listeners to just picture this as a two guys that met on Grindr for the rest of this reading because it's great.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_04]: And now we once again switch briefly, this time to the office of the prime minister at 10 Downing Street, James Callahan, the real-life prime minister from Britain at the time, is holding counsel with Nick Fury and excuse me, and Todd Radcliffe.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_10]: you're coming loud and clear p.m. but where do we start?
- 9:15[SPEAKER_10]: you figure that computer I sent cap to check out as somehow connected with the Nazis?
- 9:20[SPEAKER_03]: Mr. Actley, and that's why I asked you here.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_03]: Excuse me, Mr. Prime Minister, but I'm receiving a measure message.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_03]: May I use the vote in another room?
- 9:27[SPEAKER_03]: Is more important for the matter under discussion?
- 9:30[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not certain.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_03]: But I'd best find out in private, no fence fury, but you are a stranger.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_04]: I understand, don't sweat it.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_04]: Then, second slater, Red Clif takes his call in an adjoining office.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_04]: Red Clif speaking.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: Proceed with your orders!
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: Captain America and Captain Britain will be dead momentarily, your strike!
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: Force is to destroy Braddock Manor within the next hour.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_03]: And nearby, so the red skull is true to his word.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_03]: He will kill Captain America and leave fury to me.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: Anything wrong?
- 10:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, everything is simply perfect.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: And back at Braddock Manor, with through the door, but the stairway, it isn't here.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_09]: Now, but we are, you walked us into a trap, son.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: But our servants are too late to the stairway.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_09]: Not a window inside.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_09]: This isn't a room, it's a saddle.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_09]: Saisly!
- 10:19[SPEAKER_09]: A saddle for the condemned!
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: I know that voice.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's him!
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: He is!
- 10:24[SPEAKER_02]: You have played directly into the hands of your Arch enemy, Zait Skull!
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: And by those very hands, you bush had died!
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: I knew it!
- 10:34[SPEAKER_02]: This whole thing smelled skull from the star.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_04]: This whole thing smelled skull from the star.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, please go ahead.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like they were what did Robin just say.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_02]: I got two guys on Grindr get caught up in one of the XC's so puzzle Who hasn't got it perfect.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_02]: They were Captain America.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_02]: You defeated me many times, but the final and thus most important victory is mine
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: deadly gas filling the room.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_04]: There's no way to escape.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_04]: When you open this actual issue and it is acknowledged in the letter's page, they accidentally printed the first two pages from the next story at the beginning of this one.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_04]: And then the pages and this one were all out of order.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_04]: So I had to do my best to like, explore it because the publishing was wrong and Joe literally,
- 11:25[SPEAKER_04]: help me like even just this morning like repair some of that order so that's confusing but if you go look at the actual comics even for those of you that find skins online it shows up really wonky and odd and we had to like patch pages into their correct places.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_04]: We do have a Captain Britain fun page which is a thing maze and a human torch word puzzle.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_04]: No fantastic four stories get reprinted after this but there's nothing to do with Captain Britain on his fun page.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_04]: Plus, there is a full Marvel Masterwork pen-up of Captain America and Captain Britain shaking hands.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_04]: Now onto issue 18.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_04]: See Captain Britain and Captain America faced the dismal dregs of defeat.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_04]: The Red Skull and his green smoth with Red Nazi Arm Band, is firing at Captain America, bullets hitting the shield, while Captain Britain bounces over the skull, showing off his ass as he does, or maybe hitting the skull with his ass.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_04]: This one is called Shield Strikes Out, and you can go look up at the cover to Captain Britain 18 friends, not joking.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_02]: You just need lots of passes, hit my face.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: And truly is Britain's ass.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it is.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_04]: He uses like typical Saturday nights.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well, take one for the team.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: You've had it, Chum.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: and Captain Britain together can stop Zara's skull!
- 12:42[SPEAKER_04]: Trapped in a guest-filled secret room within Braddock Manor, Captain Britain and Captain America cleaned tenacious lead to life as their every breath brings the red skull closer to total triumph.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_04]: And in these menacing moments which threaten all mankind, shield strikes out.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_04]: Clouds of brownish green gas surround our heroes who both fall to their knees as the red skull watches.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_09]: It's...
- 13:05[SPEAKER_09]: No use.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_09]: Can't last much longer after all my battles with the scotch.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_09]: He's finally baiting me.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: Not yet mate.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: We still have a chance.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's fine, Hans.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_02]: You have no chance.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_02]: You are obstacles that must be removed to make room for Zaren's skull and the glorious birth of the fourth Reich.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, hang on.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_09]: Here we say, going dark.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: House passed out, but there still may be time for to save us both with the staff's force field.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: No, it doesn't work.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: The fumes of penetrating the field as if it didn't exist.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm becoming dizzy, weak, too weak to stand.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: I, I fail.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_04]: The red skull watches the heroes fall as he clutches his remote gas control and then he turns to the screen to talk to Radcliffe, the deputy director of straight
- 13:50[SPEAKER_04]: which is the British counterpart to shield, and that stands for, by the way, the special tactical reserve for international key emergencies.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: They lost consciousness thinking death was at heart, but the fools should have realized I would not make that amaze that easy soon.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: They were awakened only to face...
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: 10th again, Herr Radcliffe, this is the supreme one, is all in readiness for your strike force attack on Brad the Commander.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_03]: All systems again, the American Fury is causing some problems but nothing I can handle.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: then proceeds.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: And when you destroy this mansion, Captain Britain and America will know the horror of dying twice in one day.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_04]: Wait, what does that even mean?
- 14:40[SPEAKER_04]: Alright, as the skull signs off, we switch between the bustling streets of London to a secret subterranean fortress that headquarters of strike.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_04]: When Nick Fury walks in on Radcliffe, who has his feet up on the desk, he's finishing his call with his Nazi
- 14:55[SPEAKER_10]: What's holding you up, Brad Cliff?
- 14:56[SPEAKER_10]: You waitin' for the queen to come and kiss you goodbye.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_03]: We don't make the light of her majesty in this country, cuddle.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't suppose respect the man as a part of an American certification.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_10]: Hey, what's with you, Mac?
- 15:08[SPEAKER_10]: Captain America's disappeared.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_10]: They're not to their plain footsie with the world again.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_10]: And you're beating your guns about manners.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_10]: For crying out loud, get off the stick.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_03]: No need to raise your voice, Yang.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_03]: I'm nearly ready.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_03]: There.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_03]: Everything's in order now.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_03]: But before we get it, what's every embark on this mission as friends?
- 15:24[SPEAKER_10]: Okay, okay, we're buzzing buddies, but save the pogremen for your next tea party.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_10]: Let's move out.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, is this another grinder hooked up over on the side?
- 15:32[SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_04]: I think so.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_04]: Get off the stick.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, after a brief ride on a pneumatic shuttle, we arrive at the strike airplane hanger.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_04]: Warplanes are lined up all labeled strike one and with the strike insignia on it.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_04]: The word strike is in orange at the bottom of the insignia with a hammer.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_04]: and a lightning bolt rising out of it against a red backdrop.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_03]: Well, what do you think of our undersea air base kernel?
- 15:56[SPEAKER_10]: It beats Disneyland.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_10]: Those new birds of yours.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_10]: Did they fly as good as they look?
- 16:01[SPEAKER_03]: At form splendidly, despite our limited budget, they're actually far more sophisticated than any crafty u-yanks.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_03]: Have thanks to the breaks put on your military development by a short-sighted congress.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_10]: Hey, Radcliffe.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_10]: Find some other way to get your jolly's besides needle in me.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_10]: Well, yeah, but you know, it's more than the needle and don't you, Sarge.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, when you've been in your racket this song, you get a gut feeling about people.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_10]: And this poses giving you vibes to spell bad news.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_04]: But as an apprehensive Nick Fury, Jets Skyward, with the armed strike force, let us return to Braddock Manor.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm away.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: So dizzy and numb can hardly feel anything.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: That vapor, it was nerve gas, but less than lethal.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_09]: For some inexplicable reason, my betterest enemy didn't want us dead, at least not yet.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever is motive, it's more as a breather, literally.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: But we're still not out of the word.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: We're still the skulls captives.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_09]: As soon as my head clears, I'll try to solve that little problem.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: It won't be easy.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have a job to get free of these quarters.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_09]: You're right.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_09]: I don't see any trap doors and we're both too weak to start knocking down walls.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_09]: You're staff.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe that's our answer.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_09]: Have you ever activated it fully?
- 17:06[SPEAKER_09]: Ever pressed the third button?
- 17:08[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, pause for a moment.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_04]: This man has been a superhero for a while.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_04]: One button, like extends the staff.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_04]: He pushes his amulet and his uniform comes on.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_04]: Another button, like creates a shield.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_04]: Apparently there's a mysterious third button he's never used.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_04]: Just catch him.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_09]: And everyone needs to explore their sexuality.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: No.

- 18:19[SPEAKER_04]: But how?
- 18:19[SPEAKER_09]: I didn't see it hit anything!
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: Nor did I. I was just pointing the staff in the direction when my body started to tremble, then came the explosion.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: But let's not stay to ponder the mystery.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: We've at account to settle with our chum, the red skull.

- 20:33[SPEAKER_04]: Jamie is wearing a purple suit.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_03]: Brian, I could have killed us unless you do.

- 23:51[SPEAKER_10]: The services won't start for a couple hours.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_10]: It's me time to think.

- 25:06[SPEAKER_10]: Joe, wait me, head.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_10]: Just so you stick a match to the end of that stogi.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_04]: Radcliffe takes a cigar out of Fury's pocket, lines it up between Fury's teeth and gets out a lighter.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_03]: Enjoy your smug candle unless there are tobacconists in Hades.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_03]: This is your last cigar.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_10]: Just light it, creep, and I'll enjoy it more than you'll ever know.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_10]: It should only take a couple puffs, come on, come on, you've gotta work, you've gotta, there she goes.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_04]: The Viagra has not kicked it yet, but now if a cigar is lit, Fury smokes a few puffs,
- 25:37[SPEAKER_04]: Ah!
- 25:38[SPEAKER_04]: As Red Cliff falls, Dead Fury, his hand still restrained activates the radio with a kick.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_04]: It clicks on.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_10]: I've smoked some strong sea gars in my day, but this one beats them all.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_10]: Good old cube branch.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_10]: Who else would have dreamed of a stoggy that shoots a poison Darwin slid?
- 25:52[SPEAKER_10]: Well, I snuff Radcliffe.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_10]: Now I got to erase some man on the radio.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_10]: I just hope Strike Gage Q can pick up my signal and fly this heap in for me.

- 26:09[SPEAKER_10]: And I'm out of commission myself.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_10]: Can you fly me in automatically?
- 26:12[SPEAKER_10]: Over.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_09]: Roger, Colonel Fury, we're placing you on auto control now.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_09]: We'll guide you back to the base.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_09]: But what's happened to board?
- 26:18[SPEAKER_10]: Like you wouldn't believe, pal.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_10]: Now cut the gavit, get me down from here.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_10]: Over and out.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_04]: I would have enjoyed it more.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_04]: Wait, where's Radcliffe?
- 26:24[SPEAKER_04]: I just finished him off with my mouth and the cigar from my back.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_04]: Now pull me in.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_10]: And back to the present to the grieving fury.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_10]: And that was the Atlanta Mia want peace.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_10]: Radcliffe was dead and the other two pilots checked out clean.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_10]: But I'm still in the dark about the skull.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_10]: Nothing that happened gives a clue to where that creep is hiding.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_03]: You mustn't blame yourself, Colonel.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't your fault if anyone showed the blame, it is all right.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_04]: Huh?
- 26:47[SPEAKER_04]: Who the devil are you?
- 26:48[SPEAKER_04]: How'd you get in here?
- 26:49[SPEAKER_04]: And then put the hand on fury shoulder and fury looks up to see a grey head man and a burgundy suit and a bowler hat.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_04]: Meet, let's Hunter.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_04]: My name is Hunter, Colonel.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_03]: I need director of strike.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, yeah.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_10]: Well, you're just a little late pal in case you hadn't noticed.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_03]: Believe me, Colonel, I'm as grieved as you.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'll always feel guilty for allowing the traitor wrapped cliff to enter our ranks.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_03]: Fury knocks the man's hat off in anger.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_10]: Well, you're right.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_10]: You are guilty.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_10]: And take your hat off.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_10]: Show some respect for two Joe's right dead because you botched things.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_03]: Control yourself, Colonel.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_03]: And I won't bring them back.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_03]: And nothing will.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_03]: It's futile to wallow in recrybinations while there's nation and the world remain in grave danger.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_03]: The rent's going to still allow us recruiting a size will army here in London unless you an already can stop him.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_04]: He may well succeed where Hitler fires.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_04]: And by the way, Lance Hunter established Marvel character 20 appearances.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_04]: Lance is short for Lance a lot, which makes me happy.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_04]: And this guy later dates mockingbird from from the Avengers Rodden, which is a cute fact to know and was in the agency's show chart.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that's true.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_04]: and while two national chiefs of espionage seek to overt catastrophe, we turn our attention to a group of grieving students at Thames University.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_04]: Remember Courtney Ross and Jaco Tanner, it's been a while.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_07]: And though we knew little about him, still we all mourn the mysterious Captain Britain, but perhaps he might have become a national hero and inspiration to the
- 28:16[SPEAKER_07]: disperated among us during these trying times.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_07]: A symbol of strength and courage that now belongs to the ages.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_04]: Distraught, Courtney leans into Jack Ode, tears running down her face.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, turn it off.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_08]: I can't bear to hear another word.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_08]: His seems only yesterday that Captain Britain saved me from that murderous monstrosity hurricane, and now he's dead.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, forever.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: I believe it.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: Easy.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: It isn't like you lost what are your family.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, who was he really?
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: Cause some bloke running about in long johns in the mask.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: For we know, you could have been a villain that we're well rid of.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_08]: You heartless blithering in basile.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, dear, you questioned him.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_08]: You heard what they said on the telly.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_08]: He died biting a dangerous cell of neonaties.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_04]: Courtney gets up in a fury and slaps Jack or across the face.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Alright, if you feel that way, go get your milk-stop chum-prime-pratic to hold your hand.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: If you can find him, he hasn't been to class in three days.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: I know this guy in real life, Courtney do not hang out with this man.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_04]: As Jacob leaves Courtney turns her back to her nightstand where she has a framed photo of Brian Braddock on display.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_04]: Aw.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_08]: As Ryan would understand, he's sensitive, kind, and gentle.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_08]: I've only didn't shy away so from life.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_08]: Brimmy, why Brian?
- 29:35[SPEAKER_08]: Why are you brightens of involvement?
- 29:38[SPEAKER_08]: What happened to you?
- 29:39[SPEAKER_08]: What secret hurt lies in your heart?
- 29:42[SPEAKER_08]: Will I ever learn the answer?
- 29:44[SPEAKER_08]: Will I ever discover the real Brian Braddock?
- 29:48[SPEAKER_04]: Hugh Courtney's musical number is she sings to a framed photo of her gay boyfriend.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_04]: On that plaintiff note, we switched to an incredible sequence taking place aboard the Shield Hellacharrier, hovering high above London.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_04]: Dumbdumbdugen is watching two men train, dressed like the very superheroes we've been mourning.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you can't let no T drink a beat, chat, not that incredible.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_07]: I am so excited to make the Americans her listening to this song.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't packed this line and haven't yet.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_07]: He had him pay off.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_07]: You can't let no teadering compete you.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_07]: After all, you're representing the US of A in this little wrestling match.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_07]: Look at him go at it.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_08]: You think they was fighting a red skull instead of just knocking each other around for practice.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_07]: tell you, I can't wait to see Furry's face when he lays his baby blues on this sack.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_04]: Then as dumbdumbdug in Furry's right hand man, watch as the super heroes go through their paces.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_04]: We get an eerie sensation of something strange about the exhibition that somehow we're witnessing a staged biography of the two combatants performed by competence but not quite perfect actors, staff, flack, shield, funk, staff, crack, and in walk hunter and Furry.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_10]: I swear, you're ugly, Mug looks better to me right now than a penthouse centerfold here.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_10]: Let me help you up, Hayd.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_10]: What's the matter?
- 31:15[SPEAKER_10]: Caps' limp is a dish rag.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_10]: What's wrong with him?
- 31:17[SPEAKER_10]: What's going on here?
- 31:18[SPEAKER_07]: Sorry, Nick.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_07]: I didn't know you'd take it this way.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_07]: Guess it was a dumb stunt.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_07]: Being real Nick, the RLM-D's.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_07]: I had a made up right after Caps was killed.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_07]: Bigard would use him to maybe rattle the skull and catch him off.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_07]: God.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_10]: and there was no miracle escape for Captain America and Captain Britain, they're really dead and we're gonna have to fight on without them.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_04]: An LMD everybody is like a robot designed as a person, so it's a AI battle's happening.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_04]: This is your wraps up, but first a Captain Britain maze made up of Captain Britain and Spider-Man heads.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_04]: They call it a team up maze and I hate it.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_04]: And now we're on to issue number 20 on the cover Betsy and Jamie are tied to a chair in the background as our two captains punch Nazis with Captain Britain evading laser fire and Captain America driving through a window we're in time your brother and sister are still alive.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: But there won't be for long, unless we defeat the Nazi kidnappers.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_04]: And what may well be Britain's darkest hour since World War II?
- 32:15[SPEAKER_04]: She again encounters the sinister specter of Nazism.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_04]: A cancer's evil that has already claimed the lives of Captain Britain and Captain America, who now lay in state, and here's our title for this issue installment, while the world gently weeps.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_04]: We get a view of the Red Skull reading the Times.

- 32:34[SPEAKER_04]: Britain faces fallen heroes, London, memorial services were held this morning in St. Paul's Cathedral for two champions of freedom, Captain America, and Captain Britain.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_04]: The body of the former legendary hero of the Second World War, and will be claimed later today by President Carter, who has flown to London aboard American Air Force One, Captain Britain's
- 32:54[SPEAKER_04]: A new figure on the scene about whom Little was known prior to his untimely death at the hand of Neo-Nazi agents will be buried tomorrow in an undisclosed site.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_04]: Red Skull crumples the paper in front of his swastika-clad agents, and a swastika flag.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_04]: And remember how Courtney had a frame photo of Brian Braddock?
- 33:12[SPEAKER_04]: Red Skull has a frame photo of Adolf Hitler on the wall, and here is his love soliloquy.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_02]: I have so excited it is my greatest triumph Captain America, the living symbol of the United States is a last vanquished and Captain Britain fledgling symbol of the hated country which brought about the furthest downfall is also dead
- 33:45[SPEAKER_02]: Here, behold, my master plan for the annihilation of the British people, how old Fiore's heart would swell with the pride, so cunning and ruthless scheme, I can almost feel him smiling upon us, guiding us toward the final conquest, which he was denied, and wish I not fail him through his inspiration and my will, the fourth Reich will rise,
- 34:15[SPEAKER_02]: didn't you?
- 34:16[SPEAKER_02]: Even a death of world will be yours, my daughter!
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: So vows, that's gone!
- 34:22[SPEAKER_04]: After slamming his fists on the table and reviewing a world map, the Red Skull gives the Hitler photo a full sigile and maybe it kiss on the mouth.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_04]: But at that same moment, a top-level security session is taking place at 10 Downing Street.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_04]: Nick Fury and Lance Hunter are now meeting with the British Prime Minister, again James Callahan, who served from 1976 to 1979.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_04]: And Nick Fury is stressed, making the stinkiest faces, as he speaks wildly with a cigar between his teeth.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_03]: Well, gentlemen, have you located the sculpt do you know where he plans to attack?
- 34:54[SPEAKER_03]: Not yet, sir, but we have every available man working around the clock on it.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_03]: Not good enough, the red skull is one of the most dangerous men alive, and all you've noticed is one torn in this organization to try to radcliff whom Colonel Fury killed that's red and green in useless to us.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_10]: Look, I don't need a postmortem.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_10]: I know the score.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_10]: I let two of our guys get told, and I said, Crud, could have given us info.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_10]: But my walletman and kill ain't gonna do it's been done.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_10]: Just turn me loose, give me a free ray, and I promise you, I'll find the red skull before he moves into your office.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_03]: I dislike outbursts, cuddle fury, I'm head of a government, a government of a country in which you are a visitor, however, I understand you're anxiety, and I'll co-operate with you as a teacher.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_03]: I believe the cuddle fury and I can work quite effectively together, we're both old hands of this game, professionals, if you will, and I'm sure the cuddle fury realises the need for co-operation in this matter.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_10]: Okay, I get the message.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_10]: I'm in your ballpark, so I'll play by your rules.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_10]: But I got big feet.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_10]: So don't step on my took season.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_10]: If I get a hot lead.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_03]: If you get any lead, oh, I'll be only two grand to follow.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_03]: Now, Mr. Prime Minister, if you excuse us, the kind of life seems to have a world crisis time.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_04]: And this moment is oddly romantic.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_04]: As Fury puts his hand on Lance Hunter shoulder and Calahan is looking so uncomfortable.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_04]: Let's pause this recording briefly as I need to go ice accrued.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_04]: You can do whatever you want with that sentence.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_04]: These words used in this comic book.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_04]: I got to go ice accrued.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_04]: And now we're back.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_04]: And let's change scenes as two captains walk romantically down a snowy highway toward a full moon, a darkness and shrouds the countryside.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_04]: There's somewhere north of London.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_09]: Must-tale theory of our plan and let the skull think we're dead, so we could take it by surprise.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_01]: Are you sure the hospital is the closest place with a phone?
- 36:37[SPEAKER_09]: It's the only phone for better than a mile.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_09]: Lights!
- 36:39[SPEAKER_09]: There's a car coming up the bed.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: We must have let the driver or anyone see us.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: We better get off the road.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: Hurry before the driver spots us.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_04]: I'm right with you, son.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_04]: And as they drive off of the road, the driver and old man and his wife pull over anyway.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_04]: And if you haven't loved this script yet, you're not ready for these two.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-oh, he stopped.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: He must have seen us.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_09]: Duck down and don't make a sound.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_10]: That's odd, I could swear I saw two men leap off the road.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_10]: But there's not the slightest sign of anyone down there.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's not nothing, so it's be off our belight for the theatre because you suffer from that vision.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, very well, but my eyes weren't playing tricks on me.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_10]: I even saw what those men were wearing.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_10]: They were dressed in costumes.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_10]: Red and blue, I think.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_02]: Wouldn't it be something if... Oh, fuck goodness, I caught shop.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone knows those chaps.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's a dead, if you say otherwise, people will think you're deaf.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I just want to go with these two and see what happens next.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_09]: The entire comic series dedicated to this couple.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_09]: Did you hear what they said about men and costumes?
- 37:41[SPEAKER_09]: Be in dead?
- 37:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and if the public doesn't suspect the truth, the skull, most like you won't either.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_09]: But somehow it doesn't seem right, letting the world agree for us.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry, young.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: People have short memories, and greater concerns than the entirely end of two action boys.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: So, let's get to the hospital.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'd rather insist it to rescue, and you have to ring up for your ring.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_04]: Is this their celebrity couple name?
- 38:03[SPEAKER_04]: They're like, we're called ourselves the Action Boy Action Boys.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_04]: Again, weirdly romantic.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_04]: And speaking of the grizzled commander of shield back in the underwater strike base, Nick Fury and Lance Hunter chatting in the locker room in front of the showers, both fully close to my new, but this is a crazy place for this conversation.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_10]: Okay, Honour, it's your show.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_10]: You know this city.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_10]: Where do we start looking for the skull?
- 38:25[SPEAKER_03]: Doc Rooms is our best bet.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_04]: We've had numerous reports of Nazi activity that recently.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_04]: Back in the command room, they look at the map as the strike agents work busy behind them.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_04]: By the way, RCC stands for Rapid Communications Center.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_03]: is our command board, the flashing light, show the exact position of all of our key agents in the city.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_03]: And as you can see, I've already ordered a heavy concentration of men around Docklands.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_03]: As soon as those chapters learn something definite, we'll be flush directly to our RCC here and we'll get right on it.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_03]: Until then, we can all we can do is sit tight and wait for something to fall.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, that line just made me uncomfortable.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_04]: Meanwhile, at a small hospital not far from the bond about ruins of Captain Manor, excuse me, a Braddock Manor, the two captains watched through a window as armed Nazis stand guard over the tie-up Betsy and Jamie Braddock.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_04]: There's a lot happening in this story, friends.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's James and Betsy.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think heaven they're alive.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, okay, we keep them that way.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, if we just burst in there, we might not have to have to stop the guards from shooting them.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_01]: We'll need a diversion.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think I have the answer.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: Wait here.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_01]: I went the guards on to the door.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: You come through the window.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_09]: Good idea.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_09]: Be certain to your divert all the guards.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_09]: When I only take one of those creeps to snuff out your brother and sister.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry, I know what's at stake.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: I won't botch it.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: No other words, my family hanging the balance.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think that my rescuing an old pro like Captain America when the bomb's fail has given me needed self assurance.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: I just hope that confidence doesn't become cockiness.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_04]: We'll explain how that happened when there's a break in the action, if there's a break in the action.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_01]: But enough reflecting, it's time to make sure the skulls henched from lower their guard, and that's a job, not for formidable superhero, for harmless looking civilian.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: Nice to know the amulet still works, I hadn't used it for so long.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if it was still effective, and now Brian Braddock.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see if you can bluff your way to target, so Captain America will be free to attack.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_04]: Now back in his civilian form, wearing a black suit, Brian Braddock enters a hospital, pulse pounding moments later, Brian reaches the end of the hospital, corator, and knocks on room 2-01.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: Lucky it's so late at night.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: There's almost no one around.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: This is the room.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: No going to my act.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: He must help me talk to, I'm being held here against my will.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: They say I'm insane, but I'm not, I'm not.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_04]: As Brian X crazy at the door, the Nazis turn away from the window.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_10]: Looks like an inmates got loose.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_10]: He might be dangerous.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_04]: See the better at turn him to his room.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_04]: But as the unsuspecting guards rush at the, quote, decoy, Captain America bursts through the window.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_04]: Blash, they open fire, crack, blam.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_04]: It's vasatrik, and it worked, mate, ma'oh!
- 40:51[SPEAKER_09]: right in meatball are the weirdest fucking insults I've ever seen.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_02]: And it weren't me ball that's twice you've said what's like that.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_02]: And I was mad swallowing you can't do that.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: Ha ha ha.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_04]: Nid swallowing.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_04]: And as Brian's act bought time for Captain America to strike caps attack now gives Brian time again to become Captain Britain More gunshots, bam, bam, they bounce off the American shield ping ping Captain America hits the fake doctor with his staff Fuck more punches whack, want and cap untyzed Brian siblings The Nazi doctor falls down only line
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'll just ring down on the final curtain.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_03]: Then when this smoke clears, Ryan, is that you really, you?
- 41:38[SPEAKER_03]: I said on the telly, that you've been killed.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_03]: Are you really my brother, Brian Brattett?
- 41:42[SPEAKER_03]: Are you someone else dressed in Captain Britain's costume?
- 41:45[SPEAKER_04]: And apparently we have forgotten that Jamie already knows that Brian has Captain Britain as a staff and a previous script read.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_04]: We see another Captain Britain fun page, which is a close-up on Captain Britain's face with a word problems over it.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_04]: Name all of Captain Britain's villains.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_04]: Finally, we end with issue 21.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_04]: The cover, a massive image of the red skull is literally gripping Captain America in his hand as Captain Britain fights a bunch of thugs.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_04]: The time is bit by the place 10 Downing Street, the pressures of office weigh heavily on James Callahan as he rarely prepares to turn in for the night, but suddenly without warning he has gone disappearing into thin air and within moments an unsuspecting nation awakens to the cry.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_04]: and the Prime Minister.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_04]: In the undersea strike based Lance Hunter and Nick Fury are doing their best.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_10]: You gotta be kidding.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_10]: First the skulls goans waste Captain America and Captain Britt.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_10]: Now they put the grab on your PM.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_04]: I've done fury.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to get a confirmation.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_04]: Meanwhile at the same instant in a seemingly deserted Dockland warehouse, some random particles in a two reform and the Prime Minister himself reappears.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: Observe the entry chamber for the appearance of one whose capture will bring this decadent nation to her knees.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_10]: It's not possible, not even the Red Skull could kill Nazi Prime Minister.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_02]: That man, he must be an impostor, an actor, and make up what?
- 43:15[SPEAKER_02]: You dare doubt me, then let the prisoner himself convince your end-to-arm Mr. Galan and meet the savior of your oppressive people.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how you fetch me here, but your stark-raving man to think you'll get away with this.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_03]: I know some derelict whose disappearance would go unnoticed.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_03]: I've been missed from the incident I've vanished, every agency of the government will love.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yes!
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: Why not?
- 43:41[SPEAKER_02]: For decades, I have endured British stubbornness.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_02]: I watch your unbending people resist the onslaught of the world that they're marked.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: I watch your unbending people resist the onslaught of the right mark, and eventually defeat my beloved Fiora, but no longer will our destiny be denied, now victory will be ours!
- 44:07[SPEAKER_03]: You're mad!
- 44:08[SPEAKER_03]: If Hitler's army couldn't defeat us, what can you, and your henchmen approach helped to accomplish?
- 44:14[SPEAKER_02]: I would allow you to ponder satin below in lindus of Asyl, as a rambal you lead ponder my ultimate.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_02]: surrender within 12 hours of his annihilation.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_04]: And now in case you think we forgotten where we locked off last week, let's return to a certain hospital where the doctor gets a dose of superheroic medicine.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_04]: The Nazi agents are on the ground unconscious, literally one under the bed.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what happened there.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_04]: Jamie's looking like a beetle with his long hair and brown jacket, Betsy's wearing the daudiest green dress.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_04]: changed apparently.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: What did you say Jamie?
- 44:46[SPEAKER_03]: It was on the telly earlier that you hadn't Captain America been killed, so I can't really be my brother Brian Bradford.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_03]: Can you?
- 44:53[SPEAKER_03]: How did they say we died?
- 44:54[SPEAKER_03]: Come on, give it to me straight.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_03]: No, not until I've proved that you aren't imposter's.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_01]: He's right, young.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'll have to show him.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_08]: What's all this about?
- 45:02[SPEAKER_08]: First we're captured by new Nazis.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_08]: Now, Jamie says that you're a prioriant, lowering my mind.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: Easy dear, let me explain.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_01]: As Jamie has already discovered, I have two identities.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: Brian Braddock and Captain Britain.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: And while I haven't, sorry.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: And while I haven't the time to tell you how I got a dual personality, I'll prove to you, I'm not crackers.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_01]: You see, by just rubbing this amulet, I again become your own flesh and blood.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_04]: I have two identities.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_04]: One is my straight self.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I tried to do that as man's plainly as painfully possible.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_04]: Now said, Lings, let me rub my emulate for you and I'll show you how I really am.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yep, this whole, okay.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_04]: And we turn back, he turns back to Brian Braddock.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_04]: This time in a green turtleneck and a blue suit.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_04]: So he can select his wardrobe.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_04]: What he pushes the button apparently.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_04]: Really you.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_08]: Ryan, thank God you're alive.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_09]: Now I know how come you were so familiar with the lay out of Braddock Manor, but it's time to get back on the school's trail.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_09]: I think I see a living road map who's trying to sneak out the door.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_04]: Captain America straddles one of the Nazis, then picks it up and throws them into the wall.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, meatball, take us to your leader.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_09]: For I start rearranging your face.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_10]: A con to kill me if I show you if he's hiding out.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_09]: Believe me, Junior, anything the school could do would be a church picnic, compared to what I'm gonna lay on you.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_09]: Jesus.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_10]: Okay, no more, no more.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_10]: I'll take you to him.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get cracking.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: Jamie, go home.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_01]: Take Betsy with you.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'll drop in when I can.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: You're ready, camp.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_09]: As soon as you change into superhero and I have phone fury when we find this reds well, when we find the skull, we may need all the help we can get.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_04]: I only have one question about the church picnic.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_04]: Will there be meatballs serve?
- 46:38[SPEAKER_04]: That's all I've got to go.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_04]: Then what's that?
- 46:40[SPEAKER_04]: See you, then what Betsy and Jamie safely on their way and Captain Britain guarding the prisoner, Captain America places the call.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_09]: I
- 46:47[SPEAKER_09]: I don't care if the lines are jammed operator, this call is a top priority emergency.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_09]: I want strikehead quarters, Colonel Nick Fury.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_09]: Also, I have no coins, reverse the charges.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_10]: Look at all those phones buzzin' and still there's nothing solid for us to go on.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_04]: Who patient call it, Sonya Valentine, and everyone meet Judy, Garland.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_02]: Who?
- 47:07[SPEAKER_02]: Operator is Linestrick, Liferander, who see you?
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: There's except Crite Calls, which I believe is one of these cheeky operators tried to put through a call from some lunatic.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_04]: This is Giza Gobble as Jinx Monsoon as you'd be coming up with.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_04]: I guess I reset just astounding.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_04]: A frustrated brunette secretary unplugged the call.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_04]: How's that, Judy?
- 47:32[SPEAKER_02]: Well, she said the man was Captain America and he was trying to reach gun with fury.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_09]: I couldn't get through to fury.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_09]: They thought I was some kind of nut.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_09]: The world is really convinced that we'd die in that explosion.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_01]: They would have to take on the skull by ourselves.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_09]: right.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_09]: Let's get our Nazi prisoner and split.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: We don't need him.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: I run the location of the Skull's hiding place out of him.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_04]: And in the hospital hallway, they find three men armed with baseball bats there to rob the hospital apparently.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_04]: This is weird.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_04]: Come on, there's bound to be plenty of soluble stuff inside.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_10]: Hey, look at the super heroes.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_10]: They must be from the Looney Ward.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: Looks like a gang young thieves.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: Not to worry, I'll handle the likes of them while you pop on out to the road and try to hitches or ride.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_09]: Are you sure you can manage?
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: If I can't, I'll whistle.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: Now, be off with you.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, don't be long.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: I won't, I'll be with you, Ledgiffy.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_01]: Keep your power on out on your loony.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_10]: Why don't you take a holiday too while you can still move?
- 48:24[SPEAKER_01]: My, such rough talk, from such young punks.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: And if you don't men your ways, you may not get older.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: A swing of the stick, two men are hit and they all go running.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: You're not that vlog too much for me.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: Don't rush off.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_09]: We're a fish with our little chat I should phone the law, but I haven't time those toughs can wait for the red skull cards Then a car comes down the road and Captain America has to jump out of the way as it hits the brakes Screeee Look at that bloke trying to get himself cutie is that costume He's dressed like that young horses name captain America.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_09]: They saw me too late.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_09]: They can't stop Have to get out of the way you're right mate.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_09]: I'll make it to the ball
- 49:00[SPEAKER_09]: We nearly splattered you all over the flame and countryside.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_09]: I know, but please stand aside.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_09]: I must borrow your truck.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_09]: You ring up the police when they arrive.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_09]: Give them the shield ID card.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: I give them this as well.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's the case of skulls hideout.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_09]: Now just hold on.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_09]: You guys, she's just got ready to watch my accent.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_09]: No, no, just hold on.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_09]: You can't go running off with Miller.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, sorry.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_04]: It's okay Ralph.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_04]: That's Captain America and Captain Britain seems the reports of their death were a bit exaggerated.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's our lots of Americans in London.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's visiting season.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_01]: You're catching the sights and you're driving a lot of ease.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_09]: Good they can give them the skulls location now they pass it out of the police and the cops in turn get the message to fury We'll have an army waiting to back our play when we go to skulls layer Well, since they take it me Lord, we best get inside and ring up the law.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_09]: I only hope I can get my vehicle back in one place
- 49:58[SPEAKER_04]: Chaman a few seconds, that'll be the last of your worries.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_04]: Then while two heroes speed toward London, let's shift back to Lance Hunter in Nick Fury one more for one more fucking scene change.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_04]: And that's what the Rasmus said.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I understand.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_04]: We'll get right on it.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_10]: What is it for crying out loud?
- 50:13[SPEAKER_03]: Scumming?
- 50:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's been contacted.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: The Prime Minister is a prisoner of the rent scow.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_03]: And if the British government doesn't surrender to the scow by six this
- 50:22[SPEAKER_03]: Mr. Kalan will die, but that's still the worst of it.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_03]: The following night, the maniac has threatened to detonate a germ bomb over London.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_03]: A bomb so deadly, it'll wipe out the entire population with an hours.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_03]: Look at the maps, you theory.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_03]: Somewhere within his borders, there's a map map, hovering the lives of millions in the palm of his hands.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and bar it a miracle, we'll never find him in time.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_04]: Meanwhile, Captain's Britain and America speed toward their grim task in their pilfer truck.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_01]: You know, even though I haven't the foggy, it's just what we've up against.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_01]: I somehow feel we'll come through it, okay.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: I realized that, but with you at my side, not to mention the awesome firepower of an organization like Sheel behind me, I think the Red Skull is just about washed up.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_04]: But even as the young who superhero speaks back at the hospital, the second man shoots Ralph dead.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_04]: Fantau!
- 51:17[SPEAKER_04]: That's far enough.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_04]: Sorry to do this, but I must for the glory of the rag!
- 51:21[SPEAKER_04]: I hope you're right!
- 51:21[SPEAKER_04]: Now if our truck buddy makes that phone call, he'll be on the way soon.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_04]: Truck driving buddy, I'm not sure if anybody is.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you know, it's, it's part for the course for this comic.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_04]: We all know a video by action, but pretend you do have a truck buddy.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_04]: Her name is for sure, Lori.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_09]: I hope you're right.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_04]: Now, if our truck driving buddy makes that phone call, help will be sued on the way, but there is to be no phone call is the civilian burns the shield card that Captain America left behind.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_05]: This information will never reach the police in the red skull will decorate me.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_05]: What a glorious night for the fourth ride.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_04]: next week mayhem at midnight, but one more Captain Britain fun page to drive the theme of this fucking episode home because this is for children and the fun page is a maze of the giant red skull with a swastika on his forehead in the center.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_04]: What a fun activity for kids.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_04]: The saga continues next time.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, now for my listeners and for my crew, this was a longer read, but there are so many Nazi issues in a row.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_04]: I just couldn't bear to spread it out over like eight episodes.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_04]: just had to do a bunch of ones.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_04]: I did a lot of red skull chats.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_04]: Again, many of you joined me for one of those.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_04]: The red skull is literally a Nazi war criminal.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_04]: He's meant to stand in place of like Heinrich Himmler or like it's decades later.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_04]: This is a guy that like escaped death and justice and keeps coming and trying to take over countries.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_04]: All of his stories are nuts.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously Britain has a
- 52:41[SPEAKER_04]: pretty significant history with World War II just as America does.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_04]: We are allies.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_04]: So here we see the two captains of our respective nations in the colors of their flags fighting together to handle the threat of Nazis.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_04]: And the Nazis have infiltrated some of the highest positions in the government and are seeking to turn favor as they pretend to follow one commander but are really listening
- 53:07[SPEAKER_04]: Now, this is a story for children, but we want to place this in 1977, which means the baby bloomer generation, the veterans have gone on to have children, and they are now on their next generation, right?
- 53:18[SPEAKER_04]: The Vietnam War is over, and we're telling stories about the dangers of Nazism, two kids.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_04]: The Red Skull, Salilik, we early on in the episode about how, you know, people in poverty will easily turn toward a cause.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_04]: This is something we're seeing repeated now,
- 53:34[SPEAKER_04]: this story, and we're just going to let it be super serious, even though it's a bunch of man in masks.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_04]: There are swastikas all over the place, the red skulls hilarious.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_04]: We can make this funny and let it be silly, but I just want to lean into the history of the seriousness of this.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_04]: Also the mix of real world politics, like we see the mention of the American president, the literal prime minister being kidnapped, and we're going to keep this moving over into our next episode.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_04]: Before we lean into silly and character stuff, do we have any moments we want to call out, leaning toward the seriousness of this story from our group today?
- 54:05[SPEAKER_09]: That's it.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_09]: The bar scene was really creepy.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_09]: Like obviously, I mean, I think that's the most like, that's kind of how it happens.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_09]: Obviously, we've probably better dialogue than half of the weird homerotic shit.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_04]: They were writing into this, but yeah, there's an odd, there's an odd placement ship.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_04]: We see that man in the bar trying to recruit the civilians and then we like flashed to the other bar where it's the face of the red skull making the recruitment and we go back to the originals and like, oh, yeah, this sounds great.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_04]: Let's sign up.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_04]: That part is really interesting.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think you brought up earlier on to spell the the gas, the hooray and this parallel of gas awful.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_04]: And then the idea of the supercomputers that are going to help the fourth right launch, we now are living in this AI generation where we're like, oh no, like the LMDs being programmed, the public propaganda of it all.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_04]: And then the agencies who can't quite seem to work together, Nick Fury also fought in World War II, which makes his presence here really interesting as did Captain America, like we understand the real threat and everyone else is very like young and not quite sure how to handle it all.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_01]: There was a very scary line that was in there about the impoverished, being swayed by the Red Skull, especially when we've seen statistically in the UK, that poorer areas have voted for the extreme right recently in our local elections.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_01]: So that really hit home today.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_01]: Just reading that was like, oh, God, yeah, that, you know, we do have the rise of the far right gaining traction in the UK.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: And so whether that was a message in, you know, 90, well, when the comic was written or a message today, those correlations are huge.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_01]: So to this episode to date kind of made me go, a couple of times with the correlations with what's politically happening.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_01]: Not probably not just in the UK, but also in the US and, you know,
- 55:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_07]: We're all calling into this from countries where far-right movements are green, are gaining traction or have already done so.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_07]: And I studied German and classics at university.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_07]: My entire degree was all about learning from history, so we don't make the same mistakes.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_07]: And the world seems determined not to do that.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_07]: And reading this, it's insane because as you said, Chad,
- 56:13[SPEAKER_07]: This is not just in the aftermath of World War II, this is in the aftermath of the Vietnam War.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_07]: In my lifetime alone, we have had the Iraq War, we have had so many situations in the Middle East, we have had so many situations that don't even get media coverage in our countries.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_07]: It is infuriating, I think, for all of us as queer people, to read these comics and go
- 56:33[SPEAKER_07]: So, we have had these issues happening for a lot of knows how many life pains and we just refuse to learn messages from them and even things are silly and over the top as the red skulls, psychophantic, homoerotic dedication to Adolf Hitler, a dead man who at this point had been dead for almost 30 years, it is ridiculous, it was exquisitely portrayed by Giza.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_07]: But it is haunting because that is that fanatical graduation and that cult like status is something that we're all still having to deal with just in different form.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_04]: And I think something entirely unintentional but Courtney has the frame photo and Brian and Red School has the frame photo on the wall.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_04]: Like the the the loving like looking to the eyes, I'm going to sing it a song kind of energy.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_04]: Adam, okay, meet
- 57:26[SPEAKER_04]: After America one more time on his British hookup, there's some really ridiculous stuff.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_04]: Do you want to talk about caps journey in this issue?
- 57:32[SPEAKER_09]: It's such an interesting character compared to like where he is now today.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_09]: Like he's definitely kind of a good old boy like still the soldier obviously still wanting to hook up with Brian Braddock But he it's sort of like not a naive attack, but like it's definitely more built around the sort of like American propaganda in many ways.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_09]: I feel like where it's like he's like
- 57:52[SPEAKER_09]: Military's good.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_09]: We're doing this stuff.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_09]: He doesn't really have anything other than hey, we're America.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_09]: We're great And also don't get over confident.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_09]: Don't get cocky, but I can and constantly get fucked over.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_09]: It seems like he just seems very Aloof compared to obviously who is now like the militaristic like Avengers leader that like really thinks about Teaming and all this stuff.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_09]: He's still a good mentor, but it's just it's very funny to me and he really needs some new lines Because people in crud I I would love for to see that and like fucking secret wars.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_09]: That's that's coming
- 58:20[SPEAKER_04]: Listen up, meet, mull.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, just ridiculousness.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_09]: So I am Adam dot casserie on Instagram.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_09]: I'm also part of Homicepira podcast.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_09]: That's also an Instagram.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_09]: You could find us there.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_09]: We are actually in a run.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_09]: I'm assuming at this point in time.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_09]: Like I
- 58:35[SPEAKER_09]: We don't know the date of expend ninety seven season two, it may be out.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_09]: It may not be, but either way, we will have just gotten through a season one run of rewatch.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_09]: So we're doing that kind of weekly.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_09]: So we've sure to take a listen.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_09]: We're really stupid.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_09]: Very fun.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_09]: And I'll be sure to keep using my voice wherever I can.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_09]: And I apologize for whatever the fuck Ralph's voice was because I've been all right, you're watching too much of the boys, I guess.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_09]: It's really trying to bring that curl urban to it.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_09]: Hilary, I'll say you all soon or hour.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_09]: It's every time it's something different.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_09]: So, but really appreciate everything.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_09]: I don't always have a great time.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, bye, buddy.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, the other really interesting piece here is we start to see British politics playing into our story quite a bit as we literally go to the Prime Minister.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_04]: I do not know a lot about James Callahan for those of you that have read Excalibur comics for a long time.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_04]: We see things like Alistair Stewart with the World Happening or the Weird Happening organization.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_04]: I recently did an episode on Blackair, the like spy organization in Britain.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_04]: This is strike.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_04]: And strike gets used semi-frequently in the comics.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_04]: It's meant to be the British parallel of shield, but shield isn't international agency anyway.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_04]: So we see the second in command as a Nazi.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_04]: He gets killed.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_04]: There's a lot of Nazis getting punched and killed this story, which is a good thing.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_04]: And then we meet Lance Hunter, Lance a lot Hunter, who's going to be showing up in the next several script reads as we see him developing Captain America.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_07]: only thing I have to say is having the guy who leads straight, he called Lancelot, is the sort of stupid, a name comic book's bullshit that eats me coming back for more henna attend.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_03]: Honestly, because of these been so long since I read these, the vaclifts turn just completely took me out.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh shit!
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_03]: didn't realize that was coming.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_03]: And then Lansl, and Lansl, and Lansl, the only time I've ever really come across him was when he was American in the TV show.
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, oh, oh, it's, he's British.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_03]: I won't change his everything.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and you're the deserves to pay triad episode for sure.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's great, you know.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't really know much about strike.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_03]: They don't really get the coverage that she all done all the other day.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_03]: So really enjoying learning about that.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_04]: It's that.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_04]: I'm the war.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to do theme months on my show.
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_04]: It's wildly stupid that I went with the with the vulture this month because there's so many Captain Britain characters.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_04]: I could have themed it around.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_04]: But give me time.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_04]: I will get to all of these tangential characters.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_04]: I promise.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_04]: I do have a Courtney Ross episode out there.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_04]: We're recover some of this stuff.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_04]: Feel free to look that one up.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, and then we got to jump over to the Nazi side of things.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_04]: The Red Skull has found a lot of traction.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_04]: There are a lot of people serving him, but mostly he is just monologuing.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_04]: Giza, you played him as the most delightful 1960s Batman television show villain.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_04]: Really fun.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_04]: Do you want to talk about the Red Skull's journey in this?
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_04]: That was a commanding performance.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_04]: It leaves your work as Dr.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_04]: Sin, like in the bottom of the barrel, because this is the role you were meant for, darling.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_02]: This is my Magnum Opus really is but I just want to say my Magnum Opus is nowhere near Nazi doctor by robbing that Well thank you.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_04]: I want to write you a one woman show.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_04]: We'll call it springtime for Schfinholens
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was wild, but I thought if I had to portray some mad Nazi, that, do you know what isn't very far from the truth?
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_02]: Let's face it, even in today's world, horrific, horrific sentence to see.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to make them as gay as humanly possible.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_02]: And so,
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so glad that anyone and a first of all apologies to any a German people out there or people that speak German, and my accent was horrible, but be that was on purpose because I want to ruin just Nazis in general.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, the the whole arc is insane.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_02]: Insane, um, the legs that will go to the what what Robin was talking about
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, just wild stuff.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to see more of him next time.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_04]: He is a lot always.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_04]: We have him countered by if you read the old Captain written books, they also had follow-up comics in black and white behind them.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, so we had like the fantastic foreign Nick Fury.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_04]: So for those that were reading the book at the time, picking these up off the shelf.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_04]: Now Nick Fury is in the main title.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_04]: We have Joe Jones giving us their best book.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_04]: Jerry CIA show your voice work today was lovely you had somebody distinctive accents beautiful work.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_04]: Are you a Nick Fury fan?
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_10]: I don't like this.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_10]: I remember Nick Fury in a lot of like, you know, Spider-Man cartoons and, you know, he's in a couple of video games.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_10]: But like as a character, I feel like we've kind of put that Nick Fury in the past like the same old Jackson version.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_10]: is much more popular.
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_10]: So I bet a lot of people say where to go back, they'd be like, I thought Nick Fury was a black man and you have to kind of explain to them.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_10]: I'm like, no, no, no, this is a different one than they had another one and then they brought the other one back.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_10]: But also this is the black Fury's dad.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_10]: That's Nick right.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, so there is a connection there.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_10]: Um, they didn't just like completely race, spend the character.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_10]: So for the people who get mad and like, oh, like, I remember when Nick very was a white guy.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_10]: It's like, he was a white guy.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_04]: He's just not around any Nick Furious and odd character to wrap your brain around a little bit.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_04]: We also had the return of Courtney Ross very briefly.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_04]: We're
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_04]: We're gonna see Jaco Tanner again.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_04]: On the one hand, love the fact that she slapped Jaco Tanner.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_07]: She should have done that about 10 issues ago.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_07]: On the other hand, why the hell are you still hanging out with them you crazy bitch?
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_07]: Like, come on, are you trying to tell me someone is interesting funny and rich as Courtney Ross Hannah afford to have bear friends than Jaco mother fucking Tanner?
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_04]: She's giving her bell.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_04]: Like, Sandra D. here, it's very, she's very, she's very, she's very, she's very, she's very, she's very, she's very, she's very, she's very, she's very, she's very, she's very,
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_07]: She's so infuriating like she's just like she seems a very far cry in the Courtney Ross of Excalibur because this Courtney Ross is like I just want to be friends with everyone and I'm like bitch you are gonna do some despicable things in the future just get on that train
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_04]: Now back to our hero, Brian Braddock, Captain Britain, has some funny moments in this.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_04]: We have the big team up with Captain America.
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_04]: He's been going through some shit.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_04]: Mastermind just made him feel guilty about his parents dying.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_04]: This issue, his house explodes.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_04]: His brother and sister find out their secret identity.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_04]: But most importantly, he finds that when he pushes that third button and waits a minute, it'll shoot out of his staff and explode all over a wall.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_04]: James Lee Campbell will come back as Brian Braddock.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_04]: Who?
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_04]: It's been a really fun reading these with you because you just reacted Brian's stuff in such a way as like, oh my god, he's so inept, like this guy's so ridiculous person Talk to me about Brian's journey here.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of want to know if I could have just been a course superhero sometimes as opposed to the Annette superhero, but I'm such his life
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_01]: and watching him go through this journey today.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_01]: The further he has impressed that third fucking button.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like the first thing I do is press all the buttons.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's any dumbest smartman in Marvel.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_01]: Right, he really is.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_01]: And but today's, for today's issues, I really really want you to kind of I really enjoyed Adam's Captain America and the queerness of the script as well.
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, well, I kind of want to be like kind of what's what is it code switching a little bit and code switch him up a little bit to be a little bit gay as well.
- 1:05:57[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, even just a little farther master my maiden field guilty for like fucking that girl in his car while his parents died, but now he has a male superhero teacher, but third button like back at the basement where his parents died.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's a.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_01]: he's a happy boy right now that's that's for sure so and then and then just man's planning the hell out of a second identity three sister I felt that he was a dick today yeah his little moonlight snowy walk with Captain American yeah romantic this is hell
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_04]: This is his wake-up call, right?
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_04]: Like, he stopped bank robbers.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, seriously.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Siff had some victims hurricane was like going to like blow up the whole city, but those are, yeah, this is like Nazi, though.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, it's like, it all seriousness though.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_01]: He, he's with Captain America, who he knows is like an established super hero.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_01]: And he's learning how to be a super hero.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_01]: So seeing probably someone who he's looked up to or looks up to, leading the way, kind of taking advice on him was great.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_01]: I honestly think he's trying to put in a brave face.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_01]: Do the right thing and listen to Captain America when all the time he's been coming too cocky.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, it was that thing where he was like, oh, I hope my confidence doesn't become cocky.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_01]: And that's quite interesting because that's the self-doubt coming through as well when he shouldn't have that self-doubt because Captain America doesn't.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_04]: These are wild stories, and again, kept off by that final.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_04]: Hey kids, let's do an maze in the middle of the Red Skull's head.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_04]: Can you find your way through the swastika?
- 1:07:23[SPEAKER_04]: Just truly wild.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, we got to call that Jamie and Betsy very quickly, too.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_04]: I almost want to read Jamie here is like really bad the acting, like, oh, what?
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_04]: Brian, that's you under that.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_04]: I had no idea as he looks to Betsy.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I didn't give it away, right?
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_04]: That's not coming to her own at all.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_04]: She's been a model and a pilot, I think so far.
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to see much more of her in the future.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_04]: But while to see the characters, we know so well.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_04]: So weirdly used back in their early days.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_10]: I really appreciate how camping this issue is because it is.
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_10]: you know, so heavy with the Nazi stuff and, you know, it's nice to be able to read something where, yes, it's really frightening and terrifying what's happening in the story, but we can have fun in it, let that something that we can kind of reclaim as queer people.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_10]: I think where people are very good at always kind of like trying to put on a brave face and kind of, you know, go through life and, you know, take the piss out of things when we can't, but also we know when to fight, we know when to stand together, we know when to rally together, when it's
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_10]: time at the same time.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_10]: So to be able to read this and, you know, make fun of the home or rata system in the issue and the kind of goofy silly moments or the weird dialogue like crud and meatball and all this stuff is just so much fun to be able to do that.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_10]: I really want to call out Robbins before Mrs. Courtney Ross.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_10]: I think it's a little underrated just because it's very like soap opera kind of like
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, what was me Brian Paul Brian?
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_10]: Why won't he ever love me?
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_10]: It's just I just really appreciate how you played her in that role.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_04]: I am fascinated by the topic of straight men writing straight men in gay ways like Lansing Nick in the locker room touch any
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_02]: I really want to hit home that the serious nature of all of this essentially equine what you'll said is, but it is paralleled with so many queer reflux.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_02]: This whole thing's a drag show, let's face it, start to finish this was a drag show.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_02]: And we even said it should be like musical numbers here and there and all that stuff.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_02]: I love the parallels with the real world with the real president, the real prime minister.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_02]: And all that stuff, whenever something brings in real life things, I love that, but you know, twist it in a fantasy way.
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_02]: I also think should the MC, I know they've already done the red skull and stuff, but should the MCU specifically do these stories in some way or fashion, you just know that it would never be as
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_02]: ham as it was, it would be so natural for a completely different generation, which I think speaks volumes for the generation way back when and how queer that may have been, but I think it was all very subtle and hidden and, you know, maybe back then all this was subtle, but to us it is screaming us in the face how queer this is, but back then it was so subtle, but I, yeah, I appreciate all
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_02]: you know horrible things, really things that you know that happened.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_01]: I really enjoyed Jesus' red skull today.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was brilliant.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_01]: I also really enjoyed the fact that as queer people we went into and knowing that we had to mock it to enjoy it even though there's lots of serious themes in there.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_01]: quite interestingly, um, listening to Joan Gies and I think all of us kind of have that whole reading of it being quite queer coded, but I will, I would say that I think for us, it's queer coded because we're queer people.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_01]: So we see these things, it's like the film Lucca where straight children and straight people won't see the queer coded us off that film.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the same with these comics.
- 1:11:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think straight people would,
- 1:11:02[SPEAKER_01]: No, no offense to straight people listening obviously, but I don't think straight people would automatically get the clear code goodness of how of this comic.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and I think that's that's quite it's quite funny how we've kind of all felt this way.
- 1:11:14[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I just wanted to point that out that maybe it's just us that have seen it this way straight readers of the comic back in the day or even now probably wouldn't pick that up.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_07]: But I don't know what you have all been reading for the last hour, but this was an exceptionally heterosexual comic and I think you're all just
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_07]: Such a big, I'm kidding, I'm fucking kidding.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_07]: I have to say, the, I want to call it three things.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_07]: First of all, ESA's, totally not Judy Garland.
- 1:11:39[SPEAKER_07]: I can't, phenomenal, wonderful, no notes.
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_07]: I also need to just acknowledge the, I hope, in the Captain Britain fun time page that goes over all of his greatest villains.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_07]: They mentioned his single biggest villain, a villain he has still yet to conquer the closet.
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_07]: And finally, next time I host dinner party, I cannot wait to serve everyone a brand new meal that I have just come up with in the last 30 minutes Prud and meatballs, and that's me.
- 1:12:05[SPEAKER_04]: OK, Prud.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_07]: Prud and meatballs, it feels like the exact sort of thing that you would be offered by a 75 year old woman at like an arc in the sock, OK?
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_07]: And you go, I'm too polite to say no to this, but it looks like dog food.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_03]: How do I follow these, this lot of chaos?
- 1:12:25[SPEAKER_03]: everything that everyone says, I kind of, I don't want to say though that if the MCU is going to do red skull for secret wars or any other movies, Gaze, you do need to be voicing them because yet that's the only way that we're going to get through to the malice fair over this is just by mocking them senselessly and totally out there my if anyone wants me to mock any political person in the world whether it be fictional or factual I am here.
- 1:12:53[SPEAKER_04]: Find giz on, uh, on cameo.
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_04]: Christian, you're initial voice as the Nazi recruiter, but as the like wedding guy from the Princess bride also have no idea what to do right from.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_04]: This is still a Captain Britain book, even though he had less to do it at this week.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_04]: This was very much an ensemble cast.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_04]: I love each of you so much.
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for joining with me when we record these.
- 1:13:15[SPEAKER_04]: It literally is like an endorphin boost for the whole day.
- 1:13:17[SPEAKER_04]: I just adore laughing with all of you and spending time super grateful for this community.
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_04]: And thank you everybody for coming to be, you don't do silly voice acting on 50-year-old stories with me.

- 1:16:06[SPEAKER_10]: I would also like to play Game Mormon Dad, it's a beautiful, you know, story about finding ones authentic self in a world, much like the X-Men, you know, that hates and fears them.
- 1:16:18[SPEAKER_10]: I'm everyone to go check it out.

- 1:17:00[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, July on the show, the theme is all around the Vulture.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_04]: One of my all-time favorite Camp Marvel villains.
- 1:17:06[SPEAKER_04]: Crazy, crazy villain.
- 1:17:07[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to have so much fun.
- 1:17:08[SPEAKER_04]: The next episode immediately after this, we're going to be touching on some old Wolverine stories, this month in our reviews, and over on the Patreon, it is all winged characters, this month.

- 1:17:48[SPEAKER_04]: Alright everybody, thank you for sticking around for the second half of the Grimmolkin Lane podcast.
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_04]: We are celebrating Winged Wonders on the show this month.
- 1:17:56[SPEAKER_04]: Some of my friends here in this very call with me have joined me for the trial of Adrian Thumes the Vulture, which will be out at the end of the month, over on the Patreon, it is all Winged characters as well.
- 1:18:05[SPEAKER_04]: And I thought for our little bonus feature at the script read, we will do an angel costume gallery review.
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_04]: So I have some of my favorite friends here with me.
- 1:18:13[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to review the costume history of Warren Warthington.
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_04]: And we're going to give each one of his looks.
- 1:18:20[SPEAKER_04]: We've used a snicked and kicked before.
- 1:18:22[SPEAKER_04]: We recently used Van Dyne or Van Dunn.
- 1:18:25[SPEAKER_04]: For each of these looks that we discussed, we're going to give it either a halo or a hell no.
- 1:18:29[SPEAKER_04]: The best I could do, guys.
- 1:18:32[SPEAKER_04]: So let me have each of my guests introduce themselves briefly what's your connection to the character angel and before we start talking about his looks What do you like about an angel costume a Derek Nichols welcome back to great mullkin lane?
- 1:18:44[SPEAKER_06]: Hi everybody.
- 1:18:44[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's it's me Derek Nichols my connection angel is I cosplayed his champions costume last year at the uncanny experience Enjoyed that costume because of the deep deep deep deep V which brought me back to the early early 20s.
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_06]: I guess so personally The wings are a little bulky so that's not my favorite thing actually
- 1:19:01[SPEAKER_04]: What's it like to craft a pair of cosplay wings?
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_06]: For me, I was with a lot of hot glue and feathers.
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_04]: And packing and re-packing cannot be pleasant.
- 1:19:11[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 1:19:13[SPEAKER_06]: Pull it up into my suitcase.
- 1:19:14[SPEAKER_06]: So was it terrible?
- 1:19:15[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, good.
- 1:19:16[SPEAKER_04]: Let me also welcome Mike Rossi back to the show.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_04]: The voice of Angel himself.
- 1:19:19[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's not a quality in which I think others would agree.
- 1:19:24[SPEAKER_04]: But the voice of an angel.
- 1:19:27[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah, that makes it a lot better.
- 1:19:29[SPEAKER_05]: My name is Mike Rossi.
- 1:19:31[SPEAKER_05]: I've always angel on the champion's script breeds.
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_05]: I think Angel's kind of a fun character in that he has had a lot of fashion choices over the years.
- 1:19:42[SPEAKER_05]: And some kind of work and some definitely don't work as well, but some bold choices at times.
- 1:19:49[SPEAKER_05]: I have not cosplayed us him more.
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_05]: Do I plan to, I believe that up to Derek and Scott
- 1:19:55[SPEAKER_04]: Which brings us to Mr. Scott free.
- 1:19:56[SPEAKER_04]: Welcome back.
- 1:19:57[SPEAKER_04]: Hi Scott.
- 1:19:58[SPEAKER_04]: Hi Chad.
- 1:19:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:19:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I, my connection angel, he and Bobby are my two favorite of the original five X men.
- 1:20:05[SPEAKER_00]: I've cosplayed a couple of warrants.
- 1:20:08[SPEAKER_00]: Looks is X factor costume.
- 1:20:11[SPEAKER_00]: The classic red and the classic one ones as well.
- 1:20:14[SPEAKER_00]: What makes a great war in design is it should be the simpler the better.
- 1:20:20[SPEAKER_00]: You want sort of like a sleek,
- 1:20:22[SPEAKER_00]: look.
- 1:20:22[SPEAKER_00]: It should be like aerodynamic.
- 1:20:24[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want a lot of like complicated pieces like suspenders, um, which for sure will come up at some point.
- 1:20:31[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, you know, keep it, keep it, keep it simple.
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_04]: So we're going to begin with Angel's costume gallery.
- 1:20:37[SPEAKER_04]: mostly in chronological order.
- 1:20:38[SPEAKER_04]: I've got a few fun surprises in there along the way.
- 1:20:41[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna have you each take a turn analyzing?
- 1:20:43[SPEAKER_04]: Tell me what you like or dislike about the look and then you're gonna give it a halo or a hell no at the end of each.
- 1:20:50[SPEAKER_04]: Let's begin with Derek with Angel's very first look.
- 1:20:53[SPEAKER_04]: The classic blue and gold with the head cowl.
- 1:20:56[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I'm just going off of what Scott just said, like what makes a good angel costume to sleep, and this is it.
- 1:21:01[SPEAKER_06]: And this is actually when you put this on the screen, I got excited because I think this might have been my first introduction to the character because my accent started, my accent obsession started with the cartoon and he was archangel in that only for a couple of episodes.
- 1:21:14[SPEAKER_06]: I don't even think I knew like these were the same character at that point, but I loved to collect trading cards.
- 1:21:18[SPEAKER_06]: So what we're looking at, sorry, what we're looking at is the Flair Ultra.
- 1:21:22[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what your came out in 97.
- 1:21:26[SPEAKER_04]: original team.
- 1:21:27[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, the way it's drawn here and color here is beautiful as well.
- 1:21:31[SPEAKER_06]: This is just classic and you can't really say you can't really dismiss the first the original team's uniforms is it a halo.
- 1:21:39[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, it's a halo for sure.
- 1:21:40[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:21:41[SPEAKER_04]: Mike, if you'll take the second look, this is Angel in his avenging angel look when he carried a gun that fired ping pong balls full of gas at his enemies in the 60s.
- 1:21:52[SPEAKER_05]: Um, yeah, who didn't like ping pong balls in the 60s, I guess.
- 1:21:56[SPEAKER_05]: This costume is a little bit more experimental.
- 1:22:00[SPEAKER_05]: So we have sort of like that red jumpsuit with the yellow hains and the blue belt keeping the cowl but for he brings in the halo um you know emblem on his chest which just carried through uh most of his iterations.
- 1:22:13[SPEAKER_05]: He's still trying to hide that identity with his little mask, cowl, uh, deal there.
- 1:22:18[SPEAKER_05]: But, you know, he's, I guess he's trying his best, uh, like his lawn hair out.
- 1:22:24[SPEAKER_04]: I also love his little, uh, his little gun belt.
- 1:22:27[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, gun belts nice.
- 1:22:28[SPEAKER_05]: The coif is working for him.
- 1:22:29[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know that.
- 1:22:30[SPEAKER_05]: I'm crazy about the ping pong gun itself.
- 1:22:33[SPEAKER_05]: But, you know, he's, he's doing his best.
- 1:22:35[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, hello, or hello, I don't know.
- 1:22:39[SPEAKER_05]: We get the first ketchup and butter theory here as well.
- 1:22:42[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to jump into his time travel era, so jumping into the early 2000s when the original X-Men traveled to the present, the team get all gets a streamlined look with different colors on the outside, and angels is red with the white trim, and then that odd kind of gold X on the naval.
- 1:22:59[SPEAKER_00]: where I understand the thought process behind it, it was an attempt to give the O5 sort of a modernized version of their original uniforms.
- 1:23:10[SPEAKER_00]: They're all similar, although they have different colors.
- 1:23:14[SPEAKER_00]: My issue with this is the longer you'll look at it, the busier it gets, where there's like the sort of MCU kind of like ribbing stuff down the side, that's sort of unnecessary, like there's unnecessary lines,
- 1:23:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a huge fan of having everyone in the same uniform, just slightly different colors.
- 1:23:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's giving power rangers a little in that way.
- 1:23:35[SPEAKER_00]: We're right, like I get it.
- 1:23:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's 2013, you need modern as uniforms.
- 1:23:42[SPEAKER_00]: I still would have preferred something more in the original kind of like blue and gold.
- 1:23:47[SPEAKER_04]: I can only see that emblem on the navel, but the only thing I see what I look at this.
- 1:23:51[SPEAKER_00]: Right, yeah, like the the the ex logo kind of on the the start in the naval area.
- 1:23:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's now.
- 1:23:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like it.
- 1:23:59[SPEAKER_00]: Hell no.
- 1:23:59[SPEAKER_00]: Hell now.
- 1:24:00[SPEAKER_00]: Derek.
- 1:24:01[SPEAKER_04]: If you'll take us through his second look.
- 1:24:02[SPEAKER_04]: This is after he passed through the what's it called the black vortex and got his cosmic fire wings.
- 1:24:09[SPEAKER_04]: So a different suit in red and gold.
- 1:24:12[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so if everything you're just subscribed, this is I think yeah, they all the original five went and you know a bunch of the Asked me went through the black vortex and I remember being very controversial because it made so many big bold changes to the characters and this is definitely big and bold But I like it.
- 1:24:27[SPEAKER_06]: He's got firewings now, which you know, it's something I don't think we've seen him wear our half
- 1:24:32[SPEAKER_06]: before.
- 1:24:33[SPEAKER_06]: And the uniform itself wings aside, I think it's pretty great.
- 1:24:36[SPEAKER_06]: It's pretty streamlined.
- 1:24:37[SPEAKER_06]: There's like a, from what we can see, I can't remember how it goes all the way down, but Kyle looks like he's wearing armor, the gold parts armor, and then she's just wearing like a red jumpsuit underneath, and his face is fully exposed, compared to with the little collar around it.
- 1:24:49[SPEAKER_06]: So I think it's a halo for me.
- 1:24:51[SPEAKER_04]: do you like the wing design here?
- 1:24:52[SPEAKER_06]: I do.
- 1:24:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:24:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:24:53[SPEAKER_04]: And then we see that wing design kind of slightly altered in this next look, Mike with he's got the red and white the X on the shoulder now.
- 1:25:01[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.
- 1:25:01[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:25:01[SPEAKER_05]: So he's so that his his fire wings, you know, contrary to what you might have gathered from my last critique.
- 1:25:08[SPEAKER_05]: I do actually like to angel in red, but kind of what Scott was referring to in the last review that he was doing this is.
- 1:25:16[SPEAKER_05]: Also a little bit too busy for me, so I dig the red in the white, but it's just kind of like trying to throw like patterns and whatnot on there.
- 1:25:23[SPEAKER_05]: I just just for the sake of visual interest, but I don't think it's it's succeeding.
- 1:25:29[SPEAKER_05]: It's not it's not working for me.
- 1:25:31[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm going to help know it, but I also realize I'm not adding to the description of this for anybody listening.
- 1:25:39[SPEAKER_04]: Scott, take us on the next one.
- 1:25:40[SPEAKER_04]: We're back to the 1960s back to catch up and mustard a little bit.
- 1:25:44[SPEAKER_04]: And this time with suspenders.
- 1:25:46[SPEAKER_00]: This is probably warrants were pretty 21st century.
- 1:25:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to stick that caveat in there pre 21st century costume.
- 1:25:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's.
- 1:25:57[SPEAKER_00]: the is his post-of-five training uniform 60's look.
- 1:26:02[SPEAKER_00]: It is, is I'm by Jean Gray.
- 1:26:04[SPEAKER_00]: Designed by Jean Gray, perhaps during a period of blindness.
- 1:26:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember.
- 1:26:08[SPEAKER_00]: It is mustard, yellow, top, red, tight, blue boots, a belt, and spenders with a blue headpiece that leaves his
- 1:26:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a great palette.
- 1:26:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's ketchup and mustard.
- 1:26:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why the suspenders are there or wearing suspenders with a belt is a major faux pas.
- 1:26:31[SPEAKER_00]: This is a spenders are there to draw your eyes to that god awful belt buckle.
- 1:26:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, everything leads to the belt buckle.
- 1:26:38[SPEAKER_00]: The blue is unnecessary.
- 1:26:41[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to do Ronald McDonald ketchup colors, don't throw blue in there.
- 1:26:45[SPEAKER_00]: This is a major
- 1:26:49[SPEAKER_04]: And then back to Derek, we have his first costume designed by a magneto.
- 1:26:53[SPEAKER_04]: This one is what he wears at the end of the first run all through the hidden years.
- 1:26:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I think I would say like in his angel form of him tail wings, this is his most his most iconic costume is with the halo and the center and then the blue are the white stripe down the middle and the blue off the sides, but the
- 1:27:11[SPEAKER_06]: But, um, so I'll heal it, but the only thing that kind of that I've always thought about this uniform is it's very like little boyish to me.
- 1:27:18[SPEAKER_06]: It doesn't give like a sense of like gravitas or like super hero.
- 1:27:21[SPEAKER_06]: It's like little boy's pajamas.
- 1:27:23[SPEAKER_04]: So he's too sexy for this costume.
- 1:27:25[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, yeah, yeah, but it's the fact that it's skin tight.
- 1:27:28[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 1:27:29[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 1:27:36[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I thought that looked familiar.
- 1:27:38[SPEAKER_05]: So this is back to catch up and mustard with the deep v that Derek was referring to earlier.
- 1:27:45[SPEAKER_05]: So the red boots and the red gloves, the red headband, which was a bold choice as well.
- 1:27:52[SPEAKER_04]: He had just seen something with Olivia Newton, John of it.
- 1:27:56[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, he could have been dancing with her.
- 1:27:58[SPEAKER_05]: Or I don't know, like, been a guest star and sweat into the oldies or something like that.
- 1:28:02[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I feel like Chad, you are just trying to to give me some of the more creative things.
- 1:28:09[SPEAKER_05]: I dare, this is what you cosplayed in, right?
- 1:28:11[SPEAKER_05]: This is what you, yeah.
- 1:28:13[SPEAKER_05]: So, like, I will not let her be.
- 1:28:15[SPEAKER_05]: No, I think, I think Derek wore it better than this particular image of Warren, but it's still going to be a hell no from me.
- 1:28:24[SPEAKER_05]: I love this look.
- 1:28:26[SPEAKER_05]: I've got this fun wrong and I got to be there with Derek.
- 1:28:29[SPEAKER_05]: I got this look.
- 1:28:30[SPEAKER_05]: It was amazing.
- 1:28:31[SPEAKER_04]: Got, do you want to take us through the next one?
- 1:28:33[SPEAKER_04]: This is Warren in kind of, uh, well, I'm going to let you describe it.
- 1:28:38[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 1:28:39[SPEAKER_00]: Um, this is probably one of his most iconic looks.
- 1:28:44[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it's a red bodysuit with a white strip going down his chest and abs, white shorts.
- 1:28:50[SPEAKER_04]: It looks like
- 1:28:53[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean?
- 1:28:54[SPEAKER_04]: Like with the horns in the long a little bit.
- 1:28:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah or a bird's plumage and white boots.
- 1:29:03[SPEAKER_00]: This is sort of like an iconic look.
- 1:29:05[SPEAKER_00]: You often see variations of this rea as the halo on the chest.
- 1:29:09[SPEAKER_00]: I love this look.
- 1:29:10[SPEAKER_00]: I cosplay this look.
- 1:29:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's
- 1:29:14[SPEAKER_00]: sleek.
- 1:29:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's functional.
- 1:29:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's associated with one of those greatest runs and defenders and I really don't have any issues with this one.
- 1:29:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's an iconic worrying a war and look so a halo from Scott we are back in the defenders now.
- 1:29:29[SPEAKER_04]: We've got the same costume but this time with a halo at the center and that kind of screenshot any comments.
- 1:29:34[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, no, it's the same same costume.
- 1:29:36[SPEAKER_06]: He just needed throw his halo back and there's so people didn't forget he was an angel.
- 1:29:40[SPEAKER_06]: I guess so.
- 1:29:40[SPEAKER_04]: So hey, low here.
- 1:29:41[SPEAKER_06]: Still, hello.
- 1:29:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:29:42[SPEAKER_04]: And what did you take us on the next one as well?
- 1:29:44[SPEAKER_04]: This is Warren in his casual gear.
- 1:29:47[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, this is sexy Warren.
- 1:29:49[SPEAKER_06]: He does not look like a little boy here.
- 1:29:51[SPEAKER_06]: He's just wearing red, red, gym shorts with a white stripe.
- 1:29:55[SPEAKER_06]: But two white stripes on the middle.
- 1:29:56[SPEAKER_06]: So very like 80s still like a workout vibe like I'm with the champions outfit, but without as many clothes.
- 1:30:03[SPEAKER_04]: There's getting new cosplay ideas I can tell.
- 1:30:05[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 1:30:07[SPEAKER_04]: Alright, Mike, take us through this next one.
- 1:30:09[SPEAKER_04]: We have another variation this time with an X at the center.
- 1:30:12[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, this was also on a trading card, wasn't it?
- 1:30:15[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I feel like I've definitely, I might even have this somewhere.
- 1:30:19[SPEAKER_05]: Um, so this is a red costume, uh, the white essentially making an X pattern across his chest, um, Scott, the, the cowl thing back.
- 1:30:28[SPEAKER_05]: No halo in this iteration.
- 1:30:30[SPEAKER_05]: Um, but this, I think works well for him.
- 1:30:32[SPEAKER_05]: Again, I, I do like red, uh, when it comes to to Angel and his, his costume.
- 1:30:38[SPEAKER_05]: So I think this works pretty well.
- 1:30:39[SPEAKER_04]: This is halo.
- 1:30:40[SPEAKER_04]: factor.
- 1:30:41[SPEAKER_04]: And then Scott, do you want to take it through his first exterminators look when X factor was preparing or pretending to be mutant hunters?
- 1:30:49[SPEAKER_04]: This is a controversial era for our characters.
- 1:30:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I will say the prior one.
- 1:30:55[SPEAKER_00]: I've done that look.
- 1:30:56[SPEAKER_00]: Love it.
- 1:30:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
- 1:30:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's balanced out by his other look from X factor, which is the one that chads ask me.
- 1:31:02[SPEAKER_00]: comment on.
- 1:31:03[SPEAKER_00]: He sort of looks like a fascist ghostbuster.
- 1:31:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's a blue like work jumpsuit with an X on the left pectoral white stripe and a gun and a backpack in which his wings are presumably tucked.
- 1:31:24[SPEAKER_00]: The massive backpack like this size of his entire body.
- 1:31:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a dumb design, you know, with respect to the people who are working on next factor originally, the beginning of X-Factor is not very coherent.
- 1:31:37[SPEAKER_00]: This is a crazy design for a crazy plot and it's a hell no, it's a hell no, the ghostbuster Gestapo look is not good.
- 1:31:47[SPEAKER_04]: And then back to Derek, we have the initial, he's just been transformed by Apocalypse Gold Skull face mask design.
- 1:31:56[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, this one's intense, but like the image we're looking at, he looks very imposing and scary.
- 1:32:02[SPEAKER_06]: So he's got his metal wings for the first time, and it's that, like, pink and blue archangel suit that is pretty iconic too.
- 1:32:09[SPEAKER_06]: The thing that is really horrible about it is that gold mask.
- 1:32:12[SPEAKER_06]: So it just looks like a skull.
- 1:32:14[SPEAKER_06]: So that was a big, like, hell, no.
- 1:32:15[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I think it's a, it's a, it's a halo for me.
- 1:32:18[SPEAKER_04]: It's classic.
- 1:32:19[SPEAKER_04]: It's scary.
- 1:32:20[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's really scary.
- 1:32:21[SPEAKER_04]: The pink and blue such a wild choice for this transformation.
- 1:32:25[SPEAKER_04]: And then we pull that face plate off in the next one.
- 1:32:28[SPEAKER_04]: Do we like it better there, Derek?
- 1:32:30[SPEAKER_04]: Same costume, just no gold mask?
- 1:32:32[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:32:32[SPEAKER_06]: For some reason, like this blue skin ties it all together.
- 1:32:35[SPEAKER_04]: So, yeah, surprise, this skin's blue now.
- 1:32:38[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 1:32:38[SPEAKER_06]: So, yeah, definitely more, definitely healer for me.
- 1:32:41[SPEAKER_04]: And then Mike, if you want to take us through, when he transforms back, here's two variations on Angel back in his, he's still blue, but now his hair's blonde and he's got his feathered wings back in one and his archangel wings back in the other.
- 1:32:55[SPEAKER_04]: The image on the right is the promo image for him in the Marvel Avengers Alliance game, if you guys recall.
- 1:33:01[SPEAKER_04]: Mike, what are your thoughts on this version of Angel?
- 1:33:03[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so I, particularly the one on the left, even though it's more or less just kind of like the classic kind of costume or whatever, so the blue with the white stripe down the middle of the halo on the center of his chest, no mask or cowl, but I think this works really well for him kind of what some of us were saying earlier or some of what y'all were saying earlier about just being kind of similar.
- 1:33:25[SPEAKER_05]: and clean, and just the overall palette, right?
- 1:33:28[SPEAKER_05]: Like, is everything's complimenting everything out suit?
- 1:33:30[SPEAKER_05]: They're just the white and the blue, and then the blonde or the yellow of his hair with the yellow of the halo.
- 1:33:36[SPEAKER_05]: It just, I think, works really, really well.
- 1:33:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's really good.
- 1:33:39[SPEAKER_04]: In the Avengers image, it's the longer hair, and we've leaned more into kind of like religious iconography a little bit, as we give like, I don't know what that flowy skirt thing is called.
- 1:33:47[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's a little tug of kind of action on the bottom.
- 1:33:52[SPEAKER_05]: I don't like this as much.
- 1:33:53[SPEAKER_05]: Again, I think it has some extra embellishment on the side.
- 1:33:56[SPEAKER_05]: So like sort of those white panels on his ribs and going up from the belt.
- 1:34:01[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know about the from his like thigh highs over there.
- 1:34:05[SPEAKER_05]: His thigh high boots.
- 1:34:06[SPEAKER_05]: It's still finally, again, that the pallets still working, but I think it just has a little bit too much.
- 1:34:10[SPEAKER_05]: And I feel like in any sort of combat that little loinclothy toga, flatty thing is going to be more of a hindrance than a health.
- 1:34:20[SPEAKER_05]: No, we're going
- 1:34:21[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to start noticing patterns.
- 1:34:22[SPEAKER_04]: We're seeing similar color palettes.
- 1:34:24[SPEAKER_04]: We're seeing the reds and yellows, the blues and whites.
- 1:34:26[SPEAKER_04]: It's kind of the primary, the halo kind of comes in and out.
- 1:34:29[SPEAKER_04]: Now we're seeing tonal changes in the wings.
- 1:34:31[SPEAKER_04]: We've gone from feather to fire to metal and the skin color and hair length.
- 1:34:36[SPEAKER_04]: But we're going to start seeing like leaning hard into the religious iconography piece.
- 1:34:40[SPEAKER_00]: The one in the left,
- 1:34:42[SPEAKER_00]: This is the early 2000s, the movies are just out.
- 1:34:46[SPEAKER_00]: Black leather is big.
- 1:34:48[SPEAKER_00]: He is wearing a black leather body suit with some panel details on the legs and a giant red X across chest with the metal wings.
- 1:35:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's not his, it's not his worst design.
- 1:35:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, with a lot of the archangel designs, don't fix what's not broken.
- 1:35:14[SPEAKER_00]: And this, to me, I don't like it because it feels very much like an attempt to sort of capture that.
- 1:35:21[SPEAKER_00]: Why 2K, you're a matrix, he, everybody's got to be in black kind of vibe.
- 1:35:26[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a hell, no, for me.
- 1:35:28[SPEAKER_00]: And now I know you have thoughts on his soul patch.
- 1:35:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the one on the right is by far my least favorite worn design well time.
- 1:35:36[SPEAKER_00]: This is again, they're always 2000s.
- 1:35:39[SPEAKER_00]: It is a black leather body suit with yellow piping.
- 1:35:43[SPEAKER_00]: He has sure carries blue skin and a soul patch as one does in 2000.
- 1:35:52[SPEAKER_00]: One, and like a rocket launcher, which is a big upgrade from the ping pong ball gun right he's finally using that bazooka and it's bad like it this is not a timeless design you see this and you think oh wow it's the year 2000 year 2001.
- 1:36:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's it's not great.
- 1:36:11[SPEAKER_00]: So hello for both of these for Scott's with prejudice.
- 1:36:15[SPEAKER_04]: Derek, if you'll take this next one, we have Angel in the Chuck Austin era and then angel in the Chuck Austin era again, but it gets much greater on the right.
- 1:36:26[SPEAKER_06]: So the one of them, so the first one I'm looking at, he's in black and black, it's pretty basic, there's black and then a yellow X on his chest, he has a collar that goes around his collar's new around his neck, but it's striped with yellow.
- 1:36:40[SPEAKER_06]: I like it.
- 1:36:41[SPEAKER_06]: It's pretty, again, just clean.
- 1:36:42[SPEAKER_06]: It's a totally besides maybe it's just play off of the last, uh, so he was wearing the black and the yellow, the little more little less, uh, movie love M to you or so many like, so that's a halo.
- 1:36:55[SPEAKER_04]: That's what on the right.
- 1:36:56[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, then we transition pretty hard.
- 1:36:59[SPEAKER_06]: So this is like a combination of everything that he's been wearing in the past.
- 1:37:04[SPEAKER_06]: You know, a couple of iterations.
- 1:37:05[SPEAKER_06]: So he's back and red.
- 1:37:06[SPEAKER_06]: So yes, this is also very, I kind of very iconic angel of it and that for bad reasons for the, in the Chuck Austin run.
- 1:37:13[SPEAKER_06]: His shoulders are exposed, but he's wearing like a red jumps through and on top of that he has like,
- 1:37:26[SPEAKER_06]: I was getting to that.
- 1:37:27[SPEAKER_06]: You can't not talk about that.
- 1:37:28[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, it is very a diaper like with but it's like the flap.
- 1:37:33[SPEAKER_06]: One coffee was wearing a couple of uniforms ago that wasn't quite as offensive.
- 1:37:37[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, it looks like he's wearing a huge diaper here.
- 1:37:39[SPEAKER_06]: And in this picture, he has a very sassy hip pop, which makes it look even worse.
- 1:37:43[SPEAKER_06]: So this is a I don't know for sure.
- 1:37:46[SPEAKER_04]: This is the look you take home to your girlfriend's a state in Kentucky so you can fucker in the air while our mother watches exactly that look.
- 1:37:53[SPEAKER_04]: This is my least favorite angel like if I'm honest.
- 1:37:57[SPEAKER_04]: Mike, if you'll take us on this next one on the left, we get a little bit more.
- 1:38:01[SPEAKER_04]: It's almost like Captain Brittany here.
- 1:38:02[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so this goes back to just sort of that classic blue and white.
- 1:38:07[SPEAKER_05]: But instead of the X, we're instead of a halo on the chest that's sort of like, it's supposed to be wings.
- 1:38:13[SPEAKER_05]: Like, we'll, we'll birdy flap and thing.
- 1:38:16[SPEAKER_05]: So we'll let there right in the middle.
- 1:38:18[SPEAKER_05]: I'm, I'm fine with this.
- 1:38:20[SPEAKER_05]: Look, it doesn't stray too far away from essentially the blue and white classic look with the halo and in this center of his chest.
- 1:38:27[SPEAKER_05]: Anything I do just sort of prefer when,
- 1:38:30[SPEAKER_05]: He doesn't have any sort of mask or cowl or anything when he's just kind of, you know, he's letting his face and hair fly free.
- 1:38:37[SPEAKER_05]: I think that's always kind of worked well for him.
- 1:38:40[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll be on the left and then on the right is utopia era costume.
- 1:38:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's also blue and white.
- 1:38:49[SPEAKER_05]: More white than some of the previous previous iteration.
- 1:38:53[SPEAKER_05]: So that sort of like white in the center is a little bit lighter and he has his ex emblem on his left chest there and brings the cowl back.
- 1:39:03[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to do a hell no for this just because it's kind of boring.
- 1:39:07[SPEAKER_04]: We have the two sets of feathered wings here.
- 1:39:09[SPEAKER_04]: Just look
- 1:39:14[SPEAKER_05]: I think that's another mutation he has is just his the types of wings his feathers change with each Well, sometimes they change to metal, so yes
- 1:39:25[SPEAKER_04]: Scott, if you want to take this look on the left, we have another trading card here.
- 1:39:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is a, this is a, there's a lot going on here.
- 1:39:32[SPEAKER_00]: This one, uh, this is another one of the flea trading cards.
- 1:39:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's his sort of classic red and white body suit, except the gloves and the boots are yellow, uh, in a throwback to his sort of late 60s, look and champions look and, uh,
- 1:39:49[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so he has the metal archangel wings and his hair is flying free and blowing luxuriously in very, very, yeah, I'm not a fan of bringing back Catchman Mustard Palette.
- 1:40:02[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think if you swapped the gold gloves and the boots for the classic white, it would, it would work.
- 1:40:10[SPEAKER_04]: much better is almost giving those like like those like cadaver dolls.
- 1:40:14[SPEAKER_04]: Do you know what I'm talking about with like the red musculature under the skin when you can like see the insides of a human body?
- 1:40:21[SPEAKER_04]: This this I don't know what's the texture of the art but it's almost giving me one of those.
- 1:40:25[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I can see that it is a, it's a hell no for me.
- 1:40:29[SPEAKER_04]: And then the one on the right, we have a assassin x four sand drill.
- 1:40:33[SPEAKER_00]: This is a, again, he has four x four angel when he's starting to go a little dark angel saga.
- 1:40:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's is sort of basic our angel costume accepts his more beast you all his fingers are.
- 1:40:50[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's the palette is darker instead of pink and blue.
- 1:40:57[SPEAKER_00]: It is silver and blue.
- 1:40:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's very striking.
- 1:41:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's very iconic.
- 1:41:02[SPEAKER_00]: This is something that you would wear on a wetwork dark ops black ops kind of team.
- 1:41:08[SPEAKER_00]: So for me, this is a, this is a halo.
- 1:41:11[SPEAKER_04]: This is an angelic serial killer mode.
- 1:41:14[SPEAKER_04]: It's interesting.
- 1:41:15[SPEAKER_04]: Derek, if you'll take the next one on the left,
- 1:41:20[SPEAKER_06]: Oh yeah, so we just had a discussion about how different artists draw the wings differently and this one is very different because I'm assuming he, okay, so he's in the black and are the dark blue or the black and the silver, which is a lot more body armor attached to it and padding along those legs and the belts and the gallants, but then on his wings, he has his standard metal wings, but then there's four extra pointy parts that I don't even know it looks like the wings are wearing goggles or cat like the cat size.
- 1:41:50[SPEAKER_04]: So we're done by Wing Design.
- 1:41:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so this is a hell no for sure.
- 1:41:55[SPEAKER_04]: And then Mike, do you want to take this one on the right?
- 1:41:57[SPEAKER_04]: This is Angel is the Horseman of Salvation.
- 1:41:59[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so this is pretty casual, especially compared to the last couple of costumes.
- 1:42:06[SPEAKER_05]: So we have sort of, I don't know, is that even a vest?
- 1:42:10[SPEAKER_05]: So we're back to like yellowy with the body paint.
- 1:42:13[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so I'm never upset when Angel is wearing less clothes.
- 1:42:17[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm I'm okay with some some body paint on the chest and torso and this that like the Celtic skirt kind of deal is much better than the diaper loincloth look and those like fuzzy furry boots.
- 1:42:39[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, like maybe it's like a medicine pouch, or he keeps his trading cards in there or something.
- 1:42:44[SPEAKER_04]: And also a sword with like a little harness action on his chest.
- 1:42:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, this is a lot.
- 1:42:50[SPEAKER_04]: The fur boots is a lot.
- 1:42:51[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but you know, who like he's trying something new here, and it's not suspenders and not the V-neck, which again, I wasn't necessarily a huge fan of.
- 1:43:01[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm going to halo this one.
- 1:43:03[SPEAKER_04]: Derek, would you cosplay the horsemen of salvation though?
- 1:43:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, totally wouldn't.
- 1:43:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:43:08[SPEAKER_04]: Scott, the next one on the left, we have Angel in another variation and I hate the way these wings are drawn.
- 1:43:14[SPEAKER_00]: I hate it.
- 1:43:15[SPEAKER_00]: I love this costume.
- 1:43:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's very, it's, it's the blue, the white center.
- 1:43:22[SPEAKER_00]: The X symbol is again on this pack.
- 1:43:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's bigger than normal.
- 1:43:26[SPEAKER_00]: Looks like you chad my big issue with this is the wings are drawn very like off-pointing.
- 1:43:32[SPEAKER_00]: The feathers are too big.
- 1:43:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's
- 1:43:34[SPEAKER_00]: drawn with respect to the artist like someone who's never seen a bird before.
- 1:43:38[SPEAKER_00]: I like this is a the the costume is a halo for me, but fix up the wings.
- 1:43:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then Derek we have a hippie angel.
- 1:43:46[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so this isn't really a superhero costume at all.
- 1:43:50[SPEAKER_06]: It's jeans.
- 1:43:51[SPEAKER_06]: He's not wearing shoes, which seems on the safe.
- 1:43:53[SPEAKER_06]: And then leather jacket with outer shirt on and some fringe.
- 1:43:57[SPEAKER_06]: and a gold chain.
- 1:43:59[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I, I remember this plot line and it was heavy ask.
- 1:44:03[SPEAKER_06]: So it fits the prompt.
- 1:44:04[SPEAKER_06]: So that's a halo.
- 1:44:05[SPEAKER_06]: It's casual.
- 1:44:06[SPEAKER_04]: It's a halo for me as well.
- 1:44:08[SPEAKER_04]: This next look is the variation we saw in Marvel Avengers Alliance earlier with the loincloth look.
- 1:44:14[SPEAKER_04]: And then Mike, do you want to take
- 1:44:16[SPEAKER_04]: This is Angel when he went a little bit crazy.
- 1:44:18[SPEAKER_04]: He got reborn and became like a little newborn baby angel.
- 1:44:21[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so I don't, I guess those are pants, right?
- 1:44:25[SPEAKER_05]: Those are some some flowy white pants with a really long loose robe like belt.
- 1:44:32[SPEAKER_05]: Just kind of flattened in the breeze there.
- 1:44:35[SPEAKER_05]: And know how you like to flap in the breeze.
- 1:44:37[SPEAKER_05]: I've got to enjoy some flapping, you know, and now I'm going to sound like a hypocrite because contrary to what I just said about being down with angel wearing less clothes.
- 1:44:46[SPEAKER_05]: Like maybe he should have just thrown the jeans back on or those workout shorts.
- 1:44:51[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know that these pants are doing it for him.
- 1:44:54[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to hell know this one.
- 1:44:56[SPEAKER_06]: And I was honestly thinking about comp guys playing that one before.
- 1:45:00[SPEAKER_04]: So it's wild.
- 1:45:01[SPEAKER_04]: This is a wild like flowy flowy look.
- 1:45:04[SPEAKER_04]: Scott, do you want to take a business angel?
- 1:45:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is this is business man.
- 1:45:09[SPEAKER_00]: We're in K. We're in 10th of the 3rd.
- 1:45:11[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, were they to their industries?
- 1:45:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's making board room decisions.
- 1:45:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's a white suit like business suit, white shirt, and a pale blue tie, uh, black loafers, no socks.
- 1:45:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I do it.
- 1:45:24[SPEAKER_00]: I, I love this look.
- 1:45:25[SPEAKER_00]: I would wear this, um, yeah.
- 1:45:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's good.
- 1:45:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great sort of, you know, I'm a business man, but I'm
- 1:45:33[SPEAKER_00]: And the Derrick we're back to Angel of Death Look.
- 1:45:36[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but this time he really is that because he's zombie, right?
- 1:45:39[SPEAKER_06]: So he has no skin on his face or no hair.
- 1:45:42[SPEAKER_06]: But this makes sense.
- 1:45:44[SPEAKER_06]: I think I've critiqued the other his first arc Angel experience with that.
- 1:45:47[SPEAKER_06]: It's often with the death's head and this is much different and much more appropriate.
- 1:45:51[SPEAKER_06]: I really like how the artist shows that like make the bottom row of his wings more sparse.
- 1:45:55[SPEAKER_06]: So it looks like a dead bird and the costume I think is black and white.
- 1:45:59[SPEAKER_06]: And I don't think he has a halo on there that might just be like vomit or dead flesh on the top of his eyes.
- 1:46:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's going to be very the pro or the raven kind of ending.
- 1:46:06[SPEAKER_04]: I think there's a halo for me and Mike, we have his most modern X factor look on the left here.
- 1:46:12[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so this is kind of more reminiscent of some of his classic look.
- 1:46:16[SPEAKER_05]: So it's kind of got the blue jumpsuit with a broad yellow X across his torso, a lot of yelling a lot of yellow extending down the side of his legs and again has sort of the cow will mask thing going on.
- 1:46:32[SPEAKER_05]: This one's okay.
- 1:46:34[SPEAKER_05]: It's not as classic to me as sort of that red and white or the blue and white with the halo on the chest, but I don't dislike, you know, again, that simple palette and the cleanliness of the line, even if the yellow's a little bit much, but I would halo this one.
- 1:46:51[SPEAKER_04]: And then Scott, being the world's preeminent, Dregland fan, would you comment on Warren Wartington's Dr. Doomlook?
- 1:46:56[SPEAKER_00]: I was trying to figure out which gay porn star a land traced for this, but I'll do some research later and get back to you.
- 1:47:04[SPEAKER_00]: This is his Dr. Doom, Esk Look.
- 1:47:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's essentially the last costume that we just discussed from modern, from the recent X-Factor, except it's green and blue, which is a horrible color
- 1:47:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's like Dr. Doomgreen and he has a Dr. Doom mask.
- 1:47:24[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't good.
- 1:47:25[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing really that works about this from the color palette to the mask to the Greg Land Ark.
- 1:47:32[SPEAKER_00]: So this is definitely a hell no for me.
- 1:47:35[SPEAKER_04]: And then, Derek, we have Angel in his last couple of looks here.
- 1:47:40[SPEAKER_04]: One of them, he has some tech enhancements.
- 1:47:42[SPEAKER_04]: And the other, he's become what he calls the blood angel.
- 1:47:45[SPEAKER_04]: Do you want to talk about these two looks?
- 1:47:47[SPEAKER_06]: Sure, so the the the first one with the tech enhancements.
- 1:47:51[SPEAKER_06]: That's the same costume is one Mike was describing what in his recent X factor appearance, but he has talent attached to his hands and his feet.
- 1:48:00[SPEAKER_04]: So there should be
- 1:48:02[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, totally looks like a chicken.
- 1:48:03[SPEAKER_06]: So that's a hell of no for me.
- 1:48:05[SPEAKER_06]: It seems unnecessary really and then on the right He's wearing a red and black almost it almost looks antman Asked but with his classic arc angel like pattern on it and his wings are gold.
- 1:48:18[SPEAKER_06]: I don't like it It's powerful and it seems a little more bad.
- 1:48:22[SPEAKER_06]: It's more badass and menacing It's just for sure
- 1:48:27[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, without him being a total zombie either, so or having a skull on his face.
- 1:48:31[SPEAKER_04]: So this is, I, it's a halo so blood angel, and then we've got a couple alternits tossed in here.
- 1:48:38[SPEAKER_04]: Make, we have his initial look after he passed through the black vortex on the left here, so when he got like the god cosmic fire powers, do you want to talk about this look?
- 1:48:48[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so I don't think I've ever seen this image before, but I, you know, I think it works for him, it's was that like black and white with some of the purple pink embellishments there, it's got the line cloth thing coming back, but with his sort of like ghost face mask, I think it all comes together pretty nicely.
- 1:49:11[SPEAKER_05]: Um, he kind of Derek I would encourage you not to cosplay as this one.
- 1:49:15[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think it would translate as well.
- 1:49:18[SPEAKER_05]: Um, you know, in, in, in real life versus the panel, but for it for an image in a comic book Halo from me.
- 1:49:26[SPEAKER_04]: This is like punish her angel and we've got that like longer loincloth again here.
- 1:49:30[SPEAKER_04]: Scott, if you want to take his first two alternate reality costumes here.
- 1:49:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is a, this is a very strange design.
- 1:49:40[SPEAKER_00]: It very much gives me like a golden age kind of look.
- 1:49:43[SPEAKER_00]: I know what's supposed to be like quasi medieval.
- 1:49:45[SPEAKER_00]: It is almost like a red romper that stops at his, um,
- 1:49:50[SPEAKER_00]: It stops at his bits.
- 1:49:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it stops just below his junk.
- 1:49:56[SPEAKER_00]: He has a big thick leather, black leather belt, yellow gauntlets, and like sort of a white chest piece.
- 1:50:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's pointing and yelling, you think the humans would be so generous if they were on top.
- 1:50:09[SPEAKER_00]: This is a man who has never been on top.
- 1:50:11[SPEAKER_00]: This is just, no, this is a hell, no.
- 1:50:14[SPEAKER_04]: And his second look on the left here.
- 1:50:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay.
- 1:50:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's cartoony.
- 1:50:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's the red and white jumpsuit.
- 1:50:24[SPEAKER_00]: Although the white now is much larger in covering his shoulders is a giant giant yellow X chest and for some reason a big snowy white beard and his wings.
- 1:50:38[SPEAKER_00]: His wings are like thick bat wings.
- 1:50:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:50:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's got like red bat wings.
- 1:50:44[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot going on here, none of which I like.
- 1:50:47[SPEAKER_00]: So this is a hell now.
- 1:50:49[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:50:50[SPEAKER_06]: So here, he's wearing the majority of his costume is white and it makes an ex in this image.
- 1:50:56[SPEAKER_06]: So think about like a black V coming down off of his neck.
- 1:51:01[SPEAKER_06]: form that X.
- 1:51:02[SPEAKER_06]: He's wearing a cloak that covers his head and then he's back to that like troll doll X-Men logo in the middle of his name all without a belt.
- 1:51:08[SPEAKER_06]: There are things about this.
- 1:51:09[SPEAKER_06]: I really really like I like seeing him just black and white like that.
- 1:51:13[SPEAKER_06]: I got as he gone through this.
- 1:51:14[SPEAKER_06]: I'm wondering maybe it's coming up if he just has an outfit that's just like white and gold too to really like go late into the angel aspect.
- 1:51:21[SPEAKER_06]: I think it's great besides that X-Men X, the red and gold X in this black and white image.
- 1:51:26[SPEAKER_04]: So it's a very, it's a very, uh, druid kind of here.
- 1:51:30[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 1:51:30[SPEAKER_04]: And then do you want to take one more on the left here?
- 1:51:32[SPEAKER_04]: We have Angel from the Mutant X verse.
- 1:51:35[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, yeah.
- 1:51:36[SPEAKER_04]: So this, he's called the Fallen in this world.
- 1:51:38[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 1:51:39[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:51:39[SPEAKER_06]: So he has like reptile wings or bat wings or they're they're they're very like animal like and his costume is very similar.
- 1:51:48[SPEAKER_06]: It's like his archangel look and something's a little more pointy.
- 1:51:51[SPEAKER_06]: He's too like trying those at point.
- 1:51:53[SPEAKER_06]: They're kind of pointing right down his chest.
- 1:51:55[SPEAKER_06]: Um, the wings makes sense for this for what this was.
- 1:51:58[SPEAKER_06]: Um, so this is a halo for me too.
- 1:52:00[SPEAKER_04]: And then Mike, here's a look you would cosplay.
- 1:52:03[SPEAKER_05]: I would rock the shit out of this look this is old man angel.
- 1:52:07[SPEAKER_05]: He's just kind of he's in the nursing home.
- 1:52:09[SPEAKER_05]: That's that's That's maybe like an embellished hospital gown or a row, but he's got you know his long way.
- 1:52:17[SPEAKER_05]: This is all all white all the time.
- 1:52:19[SPEAKER_05]: The white
- 1:52:19[SPEAKER_05]: White hair, white wings, slightly dribbles, putting down the frog.
- 1:52:23[SPEAKER_05]: Except one, he dribbles, putting down.
- 1:52:24[SPEAKER_05]: But you know, he's, he's earned his old man status.
- 1:52:28[SPEAKER_05]: I would have, you know, like he's, he's been through a lot.
- 1:52:30[SPEAKER_05]: So, um, yeah, sure.
- 1:52:32[SPEAKER_04]: Halo this one, one more for you, um, the perfect.
- 1:52:36[SPEAKER_05]: I think this is the best of his looks.
- 1:52:40[SPEAKER_05]: Um, this is essentially a skeleton with metal wings.
- 1:52:43[SPEAKER_05]: Um, I mean, what more could you ask for?
- 1:52:45[SPEAKER_05]: This is Halo all the way.
- 1:52:47[SPEAKER_04]: So, Skitty.
- 1:52:49[SPEAKER_04]: Scott, you got to give us this one on the right.
- 1:52:51[SPEAKER_04]: This is Angel complicated here.
- 1:52:53[SPEAKER_00]: This is a lot going on.
- 1:52:55[SPEAKER_00]: He is, uh, certainly larger to his drawn least larger.
- 1:53:02[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, it's a blue under suit, uh, with gold armor pieces over it, like thigh guards sort of coming down this,
- 1:53:10[SPEAKER_00]: side, a gold chest and shoulder piece, which include on either shoulder, giant spikes, gold X, again, on his naval, in like the Da Vinci code, the helmet is horned.
- 1:53:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's sort of the the archangel helmet soul at accept there's horns coming out where the ears would be and his wings are like multi part armored wings that do give kind of like a typically accurate angel kind of vibe.
- 1:53:45[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it's a lot.
- 1:53:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's busy.
- 1:53:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think this works in the context of an alternate universe story.
- 1:53:51[SPEAKER_00]: I would not want this in a 616 because it's, it's, it's way too much.
- 1:53:57[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot going on here.
- 1:53:59[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's the Cocoa, Cocoa Chanel thing that you put everything on and then take something one thing off before you go.
- 1:54:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to take a lot of pieces off here before he goes out.
- 1:54:08[SPEAKER_04]: So this is a hell no for me.
- 1:54:10[SPEAKER_04]: and then on the left, this is Angel when he was great.
- 1:54:14[SPEAKER_04]: Do you want to talk to us about this look?
- 1:54:16[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it's this is this is false.
- 1:54:18[SPEAKER_00]: Angel, um, he's, uh, his archangel forum sort of, uh, no body suit, but a red harness on his chest.
- 1:54:30[SPEAKER_00]: And, uh, seemingly down on his legs, too, with red,
- 1:54:33[SPEAKER_00]: knee pads, which, again, are important at Folsom.
- 1:54:36[SPEAKER_00]: Also, his wings have kind of a geometric design on it.
- 1:54:41[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I like it in the context.
- 1:54:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know what, this, this will be a halo.
- 1:54:46[SPEAKER_04]: This, it's the helmet on this look that just bugs me.
- 1:54:50[SPEAKER_04]: Derek, do you want to tell us about his age of apocalypse suit?
- 1:54:53[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so it's a combination of, um, well, I guess this inspired one of his outfits where he was wearing the loincloth situation, because he has these two white bands across that like close this, that, that, that that's in his jackets together.
- 1:55:06[SPEAKER_06]: It's got a huge ass ponytail pants.
- 1:55:09[SPEAKER_06]: It has his feather wings.
- 1:55:11[SPEAKER_06]: I think there's a halo.
- 1:55:12[SPEAKER_06]: I think, um, again, during this time, he was, I think, running a bar business.
- 1:55:16[SPEAKER_06]: So it's kind of business-esque.
- 1:55:18[SPEAKER_06]: So it makes
- 1:55:21[SPEAKER_04]: It's a halo for me as well.
- 1:55:23[SPEAKER_04]: And that leads us to the conclusion of our angel costume gallery.
- 1:55:27[SPEAKER_04]: How are we feeling about Warren Worthington and his looks over the years?
- 1:55:31[SPEAKER_04]: Do we have a favorite?
- 1:55:32[SPEAKER_00]: Are we noticing any common themes?
- 1:55:34[SPEAKER_00]: Personally for me, my favorite is probably his original ex-factor look with the Big White X.
- 1:55:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's clean.
- 1:55:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's simple.
- 1:55:42[SPEAKER_00]: You know right away who he is.
- 1:55:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think Warren's best designs are ones that stick to simple designs and simple color pallets, whether that's the red and the white or the blue and the white.
- 1:55:57[SPEAKER_04]: I'm a heavenly angel, I'm an angel of death, right?
- 1:55:59[SPEAKER_04]: We have the fire in the sword sometimes, but then we have the healing blood and like the religious iconography.
- 1:56:05[SPEAKER_04]: I'm paying attention to the poses, there's a lot of
- 1:56:08[SPEAKER_04]: Red hands and like flexed poses and arched arms and backs, you know, and then the wings spread out behind him and the way different artists draw the wings is almost the most interesting part.
- 1:56:18[SPEAKER_06]: I was going to say my favorite angel costume is one we just flip the screens here.
- 1:56:22[SPEAKER_06]: It's just as gin shorts.
- 1:56:23[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm going to say that.
- 1:56:25[SPEAKER_06]: Baroque that's kind of that's for island on that.
- 1:56:29[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, and you said themes red blue primary colors are usually what he's going for.
- 1:56:33[SPEAKER_06]: But like I said, I really like to see him.
- 1:56:35[SPEAKER_06]: I like when he leans into the religious side of things.
- 1:56:37[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know, it just makes sense with the wings to me.
- 1:56:40[SPEAKER_06]: So we cool to see him in a like up mostly white outfit with some like gold trim.
- 1:56:43[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, I think, you know, superhero fashion is always about being out there and outlandish.
- 1:56:49[SPEAKER_06]: So it makes sense.
- 1:56:51[SPEAKER_06]: A lot of his outfits make sense for the time period.
- 1:56:53[SPEAKER_04]: make do you prefer feather, metal, or fire wings?
- 1:56:56[SPEAKER_05]: I know.
- 1:56:57[SPEAKER_05]: That is a good question.
- 1:56:58[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I think that I like the metal wings.
- 1:57:02[SPEAKER_05]: They're just, you know, well, we're doing those champions, script breeds.
- 1:57:06[SPEAKER_05]: There are some of those panels where I just have to like flap my rings really fast to knock people over and it would be a lot more fun to be shooting razor sharp feathers towards people.
- 1:57:15[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm going to go with the metal wings.
- 1:57:17[SPEAKER_04]: got that gay Chuck Austin look.
- 1:57:19[SPEAKER_04]: He's in that long diaper like loincloth that jeez.
