- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists.
- 0:07Speaker 1: This week on the show, we have some spooky models.
- 0:10Speaker 1: That's right, Halloween costume models.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Costumes for Halloween have been a tradition since Halloween began,
- 0:19Speaker 2: But how do you know what you're going to look
- 0:22Speaker 2: like unless the model in front of the costume bag
- 0:26Speaker 2: shows you exactly what that outfit entails. We sat down
- 0:31Speaker 2: with four of the most premier costume models and you
- 0:34Speaker 2: might recognize their face, but you might be surprised that
- 0:37Speaker 2: they're not wearing your favorite outfit.
- 0:42Speaker 3: And what better fashion week than this, the week of
- 0:46Speaker 3: October seventeenth, twenty twenty four, as we rent the runway
- 0:51Speaker 3: Halloween style.
- 0:53Speaker 4: So let's get those ghules up and get ready to
- 0:58Speaker 4: clown sitting.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Hello.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Yeah, hi everybody. Hello, it's nice seeing you guys again.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Hello, very good to see everybody outside of the big,
- 1:16Speaker 3: flashy studio. We all go to.
- 1:19Speaker 1: What it's crazy. I'm not used to everyone not on
- 1:23Speaker 1: a white sike.
- 1:24Speaker 2: It's really funny to see everyone. It's really funny to
- 1:27Speaker 2: see everyone not on a white sike.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Yeah, it's wild to see everybody wearing their normal masks
- 1:37Speaker 4: instead of speaky masks we wear for you a way.
- 1:41Speaker 3: It's almost you guy, it's just kidding you guys. Are
- 1:46Speaker 3: you guys are lookers?
- 1:47Speaker 4: Wait?
- 1:51Speaker 3: I was making a little joke where I sort of
- 1:53Speaker 3: implied the chickens froms But that's not it's just a
- 1:59Speaker 3: little piece of DoD that's an extinct bird. That's an
- 2:02Speaker 3: extinct bird and a good Halloween costume.
- 2:06Speaker 4: But it is such a funny joke.
- 2:08Speaker 6: That's crazy bird.
- 2:10Speaker 7: A fun costume, A fun costume that's what we call
- 2:14Speaker 7: the industry, and an explainer costume where you gotta have
- 2:19Speaker 7: your pitch ready because people are gonna be asking.
- 2:21Speaker 3: You all night long.
- 2:22Speaker 6: What are you hold on a minute?
- 2:24Speaker 2: We can't we can't just close industry secrets quite yet.
- 2:28Speaker 6: I don't think I think we should.
- 2:30Speaker 8: We have no paperwork. Let's let's just let's just there's
- 2:34Speaker 8: no laws it.
- 2:38Speaker 6: Okay?
- 2:39Speaker 4: Are you just give away our secrets?
- 2:43Speaker 8: I mean, listen, guys, I don't really even know who
- 2:45Speaker 8: our bosses. We have like a technical signing sheet when
- 2:48Speaker 8: we come in. The photographer is like barely working for us.
- 2:51Speaker 8: Like I sometimes I'm like, is.
- 2:53Speaker 1: There a ghost that hires us?
- 2:56Speaker 3: It is interesting that a lot of people know that
- 2:58Speaker 3: the Halloween modeling industry has a rule no one can
- 3:04Speaker 3: direct the photo shoots. No photo shoots have a director.
- 3:08Speaker 3: So we're all sort of on our own, doing our
- 3:10Speaker 3: own thing, trying to do our best and put our
- 3:15Speaker 3: own little spin on it.
- 3:17Speaker 6: Yes.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Well, as my partner said on our first date, buy
- 3:21Speaker 2: dinner first, right, So let's do some intros. My name's
- 3:25Speaker 2: Astrid sand. It's so wonderful to be here with all
- 3:29Speaker 2: of you models.
- 3:31Speaker 6: Fun. We're having fun.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I am kind of the queen of inflatables. I am
- 3:39Speaker 2: the one in all the costumes that are big, the
- 3:42Speaker 2: female costumes for inflatables. So talking horses, we're talking Ostrich,
- 3:47Speaker 2: we're talking big alien holding little man in front of him.
- 3:51Speaker 6: I do all sorts of inflatables.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Inflatables require a specific internal body temperature because it's so
- 3:59Speaker 2: hot in those, So.
- 4:00Speaker 6: I run cool and I am cool, and.
- 4:04Speaker 2: It's really it's just really fun to be with all
- 4:06Speaker 2: of you. It's really fun. I'm really happy to be here.
- 4:09Speaker 8: You have the biggest campaign I know of, because you
- 4:11Speaker 8: did the ones where every implorable color, so just like wuring, Yes.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Just big orange, big red, big blue, big green.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Kind of generous time for that one.
- 4:23Speaker 6: Yes, I was.
- 4:23Speaker 4: A brilliant costume and a brilliant scare.
- 4:26Speaker 3: It was a great collaboration with Pantone. Yeah, yeah, you.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Know, yeah paint.
- 4:34Speaker 6: So I am working. I am on.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I'm in a fifty year project with Panton. I'm getting
- 4:38Speaker 2: every single color in their thing whatever that book is
- 4:41Speaker 2: called the Panton Color Codex Book. I'm doing all of them.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I think right now we're on seven seven eight one four,
- 4:48Speaker 2: which is Satman.
- 4:49Speaker 4: I mean f f eight two seven to one brought
- 4:52Speaker 4: me so much joy and excitement. I said, what is
- 4:55Speaker 4: this shade of pink?
- 4:56Speaker 2: Okay, well that's interesting because it was called nightmare pink
- 5:00Speaker 2: and you're kind of a creepy guy, so it.
- 5:01Speaker 6: Mixed it to me.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Oh thank you.
- 5:04Speaker 6: Yes, it's really cool.
- 5:06Speaker 8: You're doing it practically because you know, I'm only seven,
- 5:09Speaker 8: but I could tell they could probably just put you
- 5:10Speaker 8: in green and change the color.
- 5:12Speaker 6: Wow, that's interesting. And don't let them hear this.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Don't tell them that I was.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I was so jealous of you when you book that,
- 5:22Speaker 3: because that is three hundred and sixty five days a
- 5:26Speaker 3: year of.
- 5:26Speaker 2: It's literally no vacations that I don't know why you're jealous,
- 5:30Speaker 2: but it is thirty minutes.
- 5:31Speaker 6: Of work a day, so it's doable. It's just kind
- 5:34Speaker 6: of a meditation in a way. So how I see it.
- 5:37Speaker 2: But I'll tell you why they can do the green screen,
- 5:39Speaker 2: and I'll tell you why they can do it in
- 5:41Speaker 2: post because the folds have different shadows, so the color
- 5:46Speaker 2: is a little darker around different curves. And I have
- 5:49Speaker 2: very very unique curves that can't be caught by AI
- 5:53Speaker 2: and so it's very specific.
- 5:55Speaker 4: So wow, yeah, that is delicious. Hey everyone, I am
- 6:04Speaker 4: Gregory Malloy Brown. I am nine foot four and I
- 6:09Speaker 4: do the tall ones. I kind of stumbled into this
- 6:15Speaker 4: career a literal stumble when I accidentally tripped and fell
- 6:19Speaker 4: into the studio where they were doing the Halloween shoots,
- 6:23Speaker 4: wrapped myself up in some green gauze, fell right into
- 6:26Speaker 4: the the gauze rack, and I fell right into all
- 6:29Speaker 4: the makeup racks and they said stop, stop, stop, we
- 6:33Speaker 4: gotta take your photo. So now if you ever see
- 6:36Speaker 4: a spooky big one, you know who's behind the mask.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Your Baba Duke is inescapable this time of year.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 6:46Speaker 3: It's just statures of you. Is that as that Baba
- 6:49Speaker 3: duke all over town?
- 6:52Speaker 4: Look? When the Baba Duke comes around, Gregory mulloy Brown
- 6:57Speaker 4: is found.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Here's tall. You always talk about how you could have
- 7:02Speaker 1: had a career in basketball.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Yep, I'm so tall. I always that almost sounded like
- 7:07Speaker 4: a your mama joke, which I really appreciate. Tall.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I don't know what yo mama is.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Okay, for your time, you would love you.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I think they're actually your age group. I think you
- 7:20Speaker 2: would love you kind of learned them at your age.
- 7:23Speaker 4: The playground would be lit a fire.
- 7:26Speaker 6: Take me back. I'm jetos.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Oh I miss those days.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Those were the best days.
- 7:32Speaker 6: Gregory.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I wanted to talk to you because, yeah, you stumbled
- 7:35Speaker 2: into stardom, as we like to say. But also, of course,
- 7:39Speaker 2: you are the inspiration for a lot of the spooky
- 7:41Speaker 2: animatronics that are being made that spirit Halloween.
- 7:44Speaker 6: A lot of the tall ones with the heads fall
- 7:45Speaker 6: off and stuff like that. They're using your body dimensions.
- 7:48Speaker 4: They're using my exact body dimensions. They use a lot
- 7:52Speaker 4: of my head. And it's a whole process of gauzzing
- 7:56Speaker 4: and rapping and gauzing and rapping and three D print.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Who else but Gregory molloy Brown. Yay, Yay, thank you, yay.
- 8:10Speaker 8: I love when Gregory comes to the to the office
- 8:13Speaker 8: with the white pyic and you bring all those ladies.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Oh thanks, yeah, let's not talk about all my ladies.
- 8:20Speaker 6: You bring ladies and donuts. It's like dealer, no deal,
- 8:23Speaker 6: but from a bakery. It's so funny.
- 8:26Speaker 4: I say, you can have the ladies, but don't touch
- 8:29Speaker 4: my donuts.
- 8:30Speaker 6: Every lady has a box of donuts.
- 8:34Speaker 1: It's crazy, they all have a donut.
- 8:38Speaker 3: I just wondering about these ladies because you're not really
- 8:42Speaker 3: kissing them, you're not really hugging them. So are they
- 8:46Speaker 3: paid to come around with you?
- 8:48Speaker 4: Look, Gregory mlloy brown, I'll never say your clown.
- 8:52Speaker 8: What's weird is they hold the box of donuts like
- 8:54Speaker 8: it's a briefcase.
- 8:57Speaker 4: It's I love the excitement of seeing the faces light
- 9:01Speaker 4: up or be disappointed when they choose the wrong box.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Sorry, this is a claw And again it's really there's
- 9:12Speaker 2: no director on set, there's no one to.
- 9:14Speaker 6: Tell you can't.
- 9:17Speaker 4: There's a door and we open it and that's all
- 9:20Speaker 4: we know.
- 9:21Speaker 1: There's a costume.
- 9:22Speaker 8: There's a costume on the rack, and then you put
- 9:26Speaker 8: it on, hopefully in time, because then a loud sound
- 9:29Speaker 8: goes five four three and you have to run in
- 9:33Speaker 8: front when it hits one for the picture.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Yeah, we sort of have it the whole operation on
- 9:39Speaker 3: autopilot where you get a warning buzzer when when you've
- 9:43Speaker 3: been hamming it up for too long. They're introducing a
- 9:46Speaker 3: new AI photographer who can kind of tell when you're
- 9:49Speaker 3: putting too much sauce on it in the pictures.
- 9:52Speaker 4: And they add more, come on, pile it on.
- 9:58Speaker 3: It's Halloween.
- 9:59Speaker 4: This shut should be all sauce, no chicken.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Yes, I think they trained the AI on like a
- 10:06Speaker 2: nineteen seventies poor director.
- 10:08Speaker 8: It's very baby.
- 10:13Speaker 4: The camera starts saying that it's wild.
- 10:15Speaker 6: It's very what that is?
- 10:17Speaker 8: Hi, guys, I'm I'm Ruthie Pepto and I am so
- 10:22Speaker 8: excited to be here. I've been in the business kind
- 10:25Speaker 8: of the longest because I started as an infant doing
- 10:29Speaker 8: pumpkins and stuff like that. I was they I mean,
- 10:34Speaker 8: I have gone Vira recently. I know this is a
- 10:38Speaker 8: listening podcast, but I did Edna Mode.
- 10:43Speaker 4: That's how old you are.
- 10:44Speaker 6: That's showing us a picture of Edna's showing.
- 10:49Speaker 8: And I mean I was one of those kids where
- 10:51Speaker 8: I got into the business because I don't really smile,
- 10:54Speaker 8: and like model kids need to smile, and I just
- 10:58Speaker 8: kind of stand there.
- 10:59Speaker 1: You can put any thing on my body.
- 11:00Speaker 8: You could put me in a pumpkin, in a mushroom costume,
- 11:03Speaker 8: in a vegetable costume, and I kind of just stand
- 11:06Speaker 8: And that's when my mom knew I was meant for
- 11:08Speaker 8: Halloween costumes.
- 11:10Speaker 4: You have this glare in your eyes that is both
- 11:13Speaker 4: terrifying and blink. Yeah, you don't know whether you're not
- 11:18Speaker 4: thinking or you've discovered it all, Like.
- 11:20Speaker 8: Yes, I've actually thought about it exactly Gregory, because someone
- 11:25Speaker 8: told me that a good kid's costume model needs to
- 11:28Speaker 8: look like they like they're They're like they're forcing me
- 11:31Speaker 8: in the costume, but it can't look like like I'm
- 11:34Speaker 8: like I'm in danger. So it's talking that line where
- 11:37Speaker 8: it's like, oh, I'm a candy corn. Oh how funny
- 11:40Speaker 8: is this? They did this to me. I didn't choose this,
- 11:42Speaker 8: but not like, please help me. I have no autonomy
- 11:45Speaker 8: over my life.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Yes, for children, because I used to be a kids
- 11:50Speaker 3: Halloween modeled myself way back in the day, and they
- 11:54Speaker 3: they want to shoot with something called the parental gaze.
- 11:58Speaker 3: You know, sometimes it women a plaining about the male
- 12:01Speaker 3: gaze in film. You want to be able to see
- 12:03Speaker 3: the parents putting the kid in the costume, in the
- 12:07Speaker 3: kid's eyes.
- 12:08Speaker 4: And you know, I think we're all on board with
- 12:12Speaker 4: stopping the parental gaze in movies. It's about time it
- 12:15Speaker 4: came to a man.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Yes, we need to stop watching movies and know that
- 12:19Speaker 2: parents made them.
- 12:21Speaker 6: I want to watch movies.
- 12:22Speaker 2: And know that people without children made them, that children
- 12:25Speaker 2: made them, that.
- 12:26Speaker 3: People the child, this gaze that the child.
- 12:29Speaker 6: I want to mention too.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I had to change once in the children's dressing room
- 12:34Speaker 2: because they were doing a football team in the other
- 12:36Speaker 2: dressing room.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Thanks for mentioning that.
- 12:39Speaker 6: Yes, that's it.
- 12:40Speaker 2: No, I was there in the dressing room and I
- 12:43Speaker 2: was I was changing, and there's a poster on the
- 12:45Speaker 2: wall that says coerced but not kid apt.
- 12:48Speaker 6: And I think that's such a wonderful phrase.
- 12:51Speaker 4: Yes, such a line. That's such a wonderful phrase.
- 12:58Speaker 8: Wonderful, wonderful pace naturally gives co worce not kidnapped.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Every time, it's co worse not kidnapped, resting face. And
- 13:06Speaker 1: it's just you know what I like.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Is that helping kids or is that helping adults trick kids.
- 13:14Speaker 1: No, it's it's our I think it's like the brand
- 13:17Speaker 1: we're giving.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Okay, got it?
- 13:19Speaker 3: Thank you like a little motto. How like they have
- 13:21Speaker 3: a little sign in some theater green rooms that say
- 13:25Speaker 3: leave the drama on the stage. Yeah, one of those
- 13:28Speaker 3: things where it's like just a guideline, just a guideline.
- 13:32Speaker 2: And I I want to say Ruthie. Also, just real quick,
- 13:34Speaker 2: I love you. Edna mode was one of my favors
- 13:37Speaker 2: of yours. But you do a lot of the big
- 13:38Speaker 2: movie characters, and your little beetle Juice was so fun
- 13:41Speaker 2: this year.
- 13:42Speaker 3: You so little little.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I think my favorite was Little Scarface.
- 13:47Speaker 6: Was my Big Friends because the gun was big competitive.
- 13:53Speaker 1: My big friend. I'm small and the gun is big.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Yes, yes, well I'll take thank you. I am Rick
- 14:05Speaker 3: Hairdo and I do a lot of the funny guy costumes.
- 14:11Speaker 3: So any any guy who wants to be funny at
- 14:14Speaker 3: a Halloween party, they call me Rick hare Do. I
- 14:18Speaker 3: do everything from a deadpool, you know, your standard playing
- 14:22Speaker 3: a funny guy, to actually really hilarious Halloween costumes like
- 14:26Speaker 3: I do this great uh snake charmer costume where the
- 14:30Speaker 3: snake is uh you know, where my pants would be,
- 14:33Speaker 3: and it's sort of crawling out like like like something
- 14:37Speaker 3: I won't say, so we can demonetize. Yes, my mean.
- 14:43Speaker 5: Dick, you mean your dick, Ruthy THEPTO you know too much,
- 14:58Speaker 5: So I try and h I don't bring a sort
- 15:01Speaker 5: of you know, I also do.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I mean. I was discovered in a banana pageant where
- 15:10Speaker 3: they find, you know, they dress a bunch of men
- 15:13Speaker 3: in banana suits to try and find the best new
- 15:17Speaker 3: Halloween costume model. And I was so the judges called
- 15:22Speaker 3: me so hammy, it might as well be Christmas Day.
- 15:26Speaker 3: And from then on, I've been working ever since, fromout
- 15:29Speaker 3: twenty five years in this industry, and I'm really grateful
- 15:33Speaker 3: for everything.
- 15:34Speaker 6: I missed the banana pageant circuit.
- 15:36Speaker 4: I used to be a judge Cancer, I judged.
- 15:38Speaker 2: I used to judge the banana pageant of the Sultancy
- 15:42Speaker 2: every year, and.
- 15:44Speaker 4: When the Sultancy was a community or after the fall.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Right after trying to bring it back, Sultancy two, Sultancy
- 15:52Speaker 2: two more c I don't talk about Sultancy too.
- 15:55Speaker 6: I was one of the architects of Sultancy too.
- 16:00Speaker 4: It's you know.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Those pageants, I do you know I do miss them.
- 16:05Speaker 3: It was a great opportunity for Halloween talent to be discovered.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Now I want it, and I've always I've always loved
- 16:13Speaker 4: your work, and I will say you have a certain
- 16:16Speaker 4: clown if you will. Where there's something you bring?
- 16:20Speaker 3: Can I take that?
- 16:21Speaker 4: You can definitely not take that. It's branded. I've taken it.
- 16:26Speaker 4: You can't take it.
- 16:28Speaker 1: You definitely killed me.
- 16:30Speaker 4: You cannot take it. It's mine.
- 16:33Speaker 3: You gave me, like a hilarious slogan to describe my life,
- 16:36Speaker 3: and you won't let me have it. Please let me
- 16:37Speaker 3: have it.
- 16:38Speaker 4: To work for it, you'll have to play my game, and.
- 16:40Speaker 3: You're killing me.
- 16:43Speaker 4: My friend, which one has the chocolate donut ladies? So nice?
- 16:51Speaker 3: Sandra? Sandra?
- 16:53Speaker 4: Do you have the donut rainbow sprinkles? Sorry?
- 16:56Speaker 3: Okay, your games are say and twisted.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Let her speak please?
- 17:03Speaker 4: Huh?
- 17:05Speaker 6: Women speak?
- 17:06Speaker 4: Oh not this time. They're already out in my car.
- 17:12Speaker 6: They ran so fast we got to drive a people mover.
- 17:15Speaker 4: I'm a sprinter van.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Coerce not Kidd's not kid after.
- 17:26Speaker 4: I don't understand that applies.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Has that applies to women?
- 17:31Speaker 3: It doesn't only in the context of this. Wow, there
- 17:35Speaker 3: I go put my foot in my mouth.
- 17:40Speaker 4: You have to say clown. That just cheters the line
- 17:43Speaker 4: a lot of the time of is this funny or
- 17:46Speaker 4: is this really really really offensive?
- 17:52Speaker 3: In your mouth?
- 17:53Speaker 1: Is so big that it's a giant beach?
- 17:57Speaker 4: Yes? Interesting?
- 18:00Speaker 6: Almost a proto your mama joke? Just now that we heard, I.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Don't know what those are.
- 18:05Speaker 3: You can't bring that to the playground, Ruthie. I think
- 18:08Speaker 3: these TikTok kids don't know about it yet.
- 18:10Speaker 8: General, I don't know what those are so much that
- 18:14Speaker 8: I'm confused.
- 18:16Speaker 6: You know what I want to say, you're kind of
- 18:18Speaker 6: giving me in.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Can the sound of your mama jokes of it?
- 18:24Speaker 6: For sure, mister funny man jokes chokes? Costume. I wanted
- 18:27Speaker 6: to bring up something that I love that you do, which.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Is that you fought really hard because there was a
- 18:34Speaker 2: really really offensive costume that we saw which was just
- 18:38Speaker 2: vainy dick right you were. You were dressing as that
- 18:41Speaker 2: once and it caused kind of an uproar.
- 18:43Speaker 3: It was called the old Poker.
- 18:45Speaker 2: The Old correct that's what it was called, and it
- 18:49Speaker 2: was offensive to us.
- 18:50Speaker 6: It was offensive to us. Well, first off, it's in inflatable.
- 18:53Speaker 2: So that was my department and they tried to make
- 18:55Speaker 2: me wear it, and I said, I will not wear this.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Second all, it was a feet so it was in
- 19:01Speaker 4: my department too.
- 19:02Speaker 6: And you said no.
- 19:04Speaker 2: But then you said you've put it on, and you
- 19:06Speaker 2: made a huge speech and you said, I will not
- 19:09Speaker 2: be making costumes like this again. I will not be
- 19:11Speaker 2: propagating this or supporting this. And you fought to be
- 19:16Speaker 2: in charge of some of the designs of these costumes
- 19:18Speaker 2: to change the image. And we all voted for you
- 19:22Speaker 2: in the in the in the Halloween Models Union, and.
- 19:28Speaker 3: And thank you for all. I would not be the
- 19:31Speaker 3: president of of how of hag Aftra if it weren't
- 19:35Speaker 3: for all the support that you have given me. Of course,
- 19:41Speaker 3: I I you know, it's funny you bring that up, because.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Right and I do want to bring up the other
- 19:46Speaker 2: thing is I keep I want to bring up the
- 19:48Speaker 2: other thing, which is you became the president and they
- 19:50Speaker 2: got worse.
- 19:51Speaker 6: And that's the only thing I wanted to say.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you.
- 19:55Speaker 8: I thought it was I thought it was inappropriate when
- 19:57Speaker 8: you put me the same year of Vainy Dick. You
- 20:00Speaker 8: put me in the the it's not a what is
- 20:04Speaker 8: it an eggplant emoji costume? Yes, We knew the writing
- 20:07Speaker 8: on the wall for that. We knew you thought it
- 20:09Speaker 8: was a funny joke for a kid to be dressed
- 20:11Speaker 8: up as a dick, and it's not.
- 20:12Speaker 3: It's not. It wasn't funny, And that was an oversight
- 20:15Speaker 3: on my part. It wasn't funny. I thought, you know,
- 20:19Speaker 3: you as a as a as a funny guy. I
- 20:23Speaker 3: always say I'm a funny guy model. I'm not a
- 20:28Speaker 3: funny guy. I only have the appearance of making a
- 20:35Speaker 3: costume that is funny, that is hilarious. But I myself
- 20:39Speaker 3: don't have any comedic instinct whatsoever. So a lot of
- 20:42Speaker 3: times I missed the mark on that kind of stuff,
- 20:45Speaker 3: you know. And I take it back to the the
- 20:49Speaker 3: fight I did over that, over that vainy dick costume.
- 20:53Speaker 3: I raally wrestled with that for a long.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Time, you know, I thought. So we voted for you
- 20:57Speaker 4: because we thought you were going to get rid of
- 20:59Speaker 4: that costume. What you ended up doing was putting gray
- 21:01Speaker 4: hair on it, giving the glasses, and giving a cane,
- 21:04Speaker 4: so it really more looked like old poker, the old
- 21:07Speaker 4: poster gray.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:12Speaker 4: I went down.
- 21:16Speaker 3: It was wrestling with this. I was wrestling with this decision,
- 21:19Speaker 3: and then I went down to I didn't know what
- 21:21Speaker 3: to do. I was tossing and turning. So at six
- 21:23Speaker 3: pm I went down to Flappers in Burbank and I
- 21:26Speaker 3: asked some of the guys who were going up for
- 21:28Speaker 3: a mic. I said, you guys are some funny guys,
- 21:30Speaker 3: so can I run something by you? Let me know
- 21:32Speaker 3: if this is funny, or if this is ethical, or
- 21:34Speaker 3: or if this is just plain offensive. And we sort
- 21:37Speaker 3: of held a little rider's room. We punched it up
- 21:39Speaker 3: and that's how we landed on old poker. But unfortunately
- 21:43Speaker 3: it missed the mark.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Rick.
- 21:45Speaker 8: You're you're just so not funny and it's crazy cool,
- 21:49Speaker 8: and you give the face that this guy's funny. But
- 21:51Speaker 8: then when you gave that dick a cane, it made
- 21:55Speaker 8: everyone like like it took.
- 21:57Speaker 1: The air out of the room. And the room already is.
- 21:59Speaker 3: No it's stuff. It's stuff to tell that that that
- 22:03Speaker 3: the room, the air in a room has been sucked
- 22:06Speaker 3: out of when there's almost no crew there. And and
- 22:09Speaker 3: but you can feel that, and I and I felt
- 22:11Speaker 3: that in the union meetings when you guys rightfully, uh
- 22:14Speaker 3: put put me in my place. But I you know,
- 22:18Speaker 3: I work for you guys, and I work for Halloween Modeling,
- 22:21Speaker 3: so and this might be a good time to bring
- 22:24Speaker 3: it up. You know, do you guys have any gripes
- 22:27Speaker 3: with the Halloween modeling industry that you would like me
- 22:30Speaker 3: to negotiate with hag Act.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Yes, of course, And this is obviously you know, the
- 22:36Speaker 2: president of hag after runs a six week term, so
- 22:39Speaker 2: you want to come fast.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Yeah. I actually if you could get me answers by
- 22:44Speaker 3: end of day, I'm freaking out.
- 22:46Speaker 5: So and the election, the elections all year, it's exhausting.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Every Christmas, I am Halloween Models eight debates. What is
- 23:01Speaker 3: such a quick blip of a job. It's like gutry
- 23:05Speaker 3: recovery time. It's not long.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Get out, but you need to promote yourself for a lot.
- 23:12Speaker 4: There's a lot of promises and a lot of bashing
- 23:15Speaker 4: that go on throughout the year, and we end up
- 23:18Speaker 4: not seeing a lot of.
- 23:19Speaker 6: Really tough it gets bloody.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Most tag after presidents don't make it to their next
- 23:24Speaker 3: term because the OPO campaigns run for eleven months and
- 23:29Speaker 3: it's just so tough for anybody.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Target commercials are vicious.
- 23:34Speaker 2: The regional they're so regionally specific too, because we're all
- 23:37Speaker 2: across the country and mostly but there are a couple
- 23:41Speaker 2: of people in other places.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Yeah, well we say all across the country, we meet
- 23:45Speaker 4: all across the county. Really yeah.
- 23:49Speaker 6: Let out?
- 23:50Speaker 8: Yeah, well, Rick, I do I do want to address
- 23:54Speaker 8: like a huge shift in our industry is going from
- 23:58Speaker 8: actually being like in the Spirit Halloween costume plastic to
- 24:02Speaker 8: now being the face of Amazon costumes. Right, and there's
- 24:05Speaker 8: a difference like that is now the Norman as a
- 24:08Speaker 8: seven year old, I've seen the seen, I've seen the
- 24:11Speaker 8: company ship, I've.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Seen We've been seeing your posts. I mean, I love
- 24:16Speaker 4: your your The way you take to threads is unbelievable
- 24:21Speaker 4: for a seven.
- 24:21Speaker 6: Year old I've never seen.
- 24:23Speaker 2: I've never seen somebody utilize the jitterbug and the way
- 24:26Speaker 2: you're using it for social media, it's shocking.
- 24:29Speaker 4: A children my jitterbug.
- 24:31Speaker 8: I connected my jitterbug to the apps, to the apps
- 24:34Speaker 8: just because I need it.
- 24:35Speaker 4: I need it. It has completely and I mean it's
- 24:38Speaker 4: leveled up. I mean you it's now where the risk
- 24:41Speaker 4: of becoming a meme. You know, That's the crazy thing
- 24:46Speaker 4: is now with all these phones and these people sometimes
- 24:50Speaker 4: you know, I think we've all experienced somebody takes a
- 24:54Speaker 4: photo of us wearing a costume in our costume bank, go,
- 24:58Speaker 4: what is this person doing? Little do they know I'm
- 25:01Speaker 4: doing my art?
- 25:02Speaker 1: You know, we're a lot of meat these days.
- 25:05Speaker 4: We're so many memes. We're so many memes.
- 25:09Speaker 1: The mail me as just a kid as a mailbox
- 25:12Speaker 1: blue loop.
- 25:14Speaker 6: Yes, yes, they're using it as a ghosting.
- 25:17Speaker 2: It's like it's like him, hey, I'll hit you back
- 25:21Speaker 2: me me, what is it for?
- 25:27Speaker 6: Worse up?
- 25:28Speaker 4: That's honestly a brilliant means.
- 25:32Speaker 3: A brilliant means.
- 25:38Speaker 4: That.
- 25:38Speaker 3: That's hilarious.
- 25:39Speaker 8: It's a brilliant fucking meme. Just a baby, just a
- 25:45Speaker 8: baby as.
- 25:45Speaker 1: A mailbox.
- 25:48Speaker 3: Box, just waiting for my last email. Just following up.
- 25:54Speaker 1: That's a good one too.
- 25:55Speaker 8: That's a really good one, just following up, Like the
- 25:58Speaker 8: one where they're like, where's my fat fit fun box prescription?
- 26:02Speaker 1: All these people are stealing boxes. I tried. I'm seven.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Pretty good. That's pretty good. The Amazon thing. You know,
- 26:15Speaker 3: it makes everything faster because you know, back in uh
- 26:19Speaker 3: i'd say probably around when you were born, when when
- 26:22Speaker 3: Left Shark came out, you know.
- 26:25Speaker 6: They had a little nod.
- 26:32Speaker 3: That was you'd be great for a sarcastic guy costume.
- 26:36Speaker 6: Have you ever a try?
- 26:38Speaker 2: No, I haven't because sarcastic woman costume is relabeled bitch,
- 26:42Speaker 2: So you have to talk about that.
- 26:43Speaker 1: No, no, now it's scammy little thing.
- 26:45Speaker 6: Quit scammy little thing?
- 26:47Speaker 8: Yeah yeah, yeah, because was bitch was inappropriates.
- 26:54Speaker 3: The last hag after president was working towards because she
- 26:58Speaker 3: she name changes she.
- 27:00Speaker 2: You can't claim that as diversity because you've got the
- 27:03Speaker 2: job after her.
- 27:04Speaker 6: You can't say she like you did.
- 27:06Speaker 3: That after a woman and following it.
- 27:13Speaker 1: No, Rick, I'm seven, and I know that's not Trump.
- 27:18Speaker 3: The ex president. A woman would happen to be a woman,
- 27:22Speaker 3: and we're very proud of it. And it's a shame.
- 27:25Speaker 3: I felt so bad running that OPO campaign against her
- 27:28Speaker 3: for so long.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Said she's not capable of enough because she's a she
- 27:34Speaker 4: was crazy.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Well, I'm not a funny guy. I can't really figure
- 27:40Speaker 3: out how to how to put these these. Uh, A
- 27:42Speaker 3: lot of these funny jokes are a little misogynistic, even
- 27:46Speaker 3: in the costumes.
- 27:47Speaker 4: You can just tell, well, that's something I did want
- 27:49Speaker 4: to talk to you about. You toe the line on misogyny,
- 27:52Speaker 4: and you know, cultural appropriation. A lot of the time.
- 27:57Speaker 8: Your misogyny is so big, I could take it on
- 27:59Speaker 8: a cruise ship.
- 28:00Speaker 6: Okay, that's an interesting one. Take that to your school ground.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Take that to the school.
- 28:05Speaker 3: You're wasting them here. You gotta take that to the playground.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Get some clout, you know.
- 28:10Speaker 6: Go ahead and answer about the misogyny. Rick, Well, yeah, it's.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Tough, because I I definitely got some uh some some
- 28:17Speaker 3: heat for what I uh call my my my my
- 28:22Speaker 3: man as a lady cheerleader costume, because the joke is
- 28:27Speaker 3: that I have a beard, right, and that's hilarious because
- 28:30Speaker 3: why would a man do cheerleading? Why would he do that?
- 28:33Speaker 3: That's that That's just something that me and my friends
- 28:36Speaker 3: like to laugh about. But I've been told by many
- 28:39Speaker 3: many women, women in hag Aftra who what in a
- 28:43Speaker 3: positive way, who have told me, you know, that's actually
- 28:47Speaker 3: not fair.
- 28:48Speaker 4: And I feel bad because it's not like you're coming
- 28:52Speaker 4: up with the costumes. You show up in the costumes
- 28:55Speaker 4: on the rack.
- 28:55Speaker 3: You know, in a way, our gripe should be with
- 28:59Speaker 3: the costume manufacturers. But that's a problem I see all
- 29:03Speaker 3: the time in these meetings. We turn on each other.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Well, speaking of that, I did want to bring up
- 29:09Speaker 2: one of my things, you know, for for the Hag
- 29:12Speaker 2: after a State of the Union, is you talked a
- 29:14Speaker 2: little bit about these costume punch up rooms, and I
- 29:18Speaker 2: think there should be room in there.
- 29:20Speaker 3: You know.
- 29:20Speaker 2: It's it's a very popular thing for these costumes where
- 29:23Speaker 2: you can't use the name of the character, so you
- 29:26Speaker 2: have to do a generic name, right, And and that's.
- 29:29Speaker 4: A hugetunity, it's Man with flying Carpet.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Yes, of course, it's Big Red. Yeah, because even Big.
- 29:39Speaker 6: Red don't actually work exactly.
- 29:42Speaker 2: So you know, Sydney sweeneywig, you know, Sexy Lady, Sexy Lady,
- 29:49Speaker 2: Lady girl.
- 29:50Speaker 4: That one I did have a problem with because that's
- 29:52Speaker 4: just a blonde wig. She can't take it. It is
- 29:54Speaker 4: just a ba.
- 29:56Speaker 1: And then they did.
- 29:56Speaker 8: And then they tried to do the Girl that broke
- 29:58Speaker 8: up Glen Powell's Mad Marriage wig, and I didn't think
- 30:01Speaker 8: that either.
- 30:02Speaker 3: No, that wasn't testing as well as Girl who people
- 30:07Speaker 3: are using her body to do culture war stuff online
- 30:10Speaker 3: and it didn't sell quite as well either.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Or Tired Girl, Big Tits Wig, Ruth.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Under the Playground.
- 30:26Speaker 6: Yes, so I was wondering if we could do a
- 30:28Speaker 6: couple of them.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I know, I know, there's a couple on the on
- 30:30Speaker 2: the slate, and I think it would be fu an
- 30:32Speaker 2: opportunity for us to kind of show that we know
- 30:35Speaker 2: what we're doing. I know there's an alphabet costume that's
- 30:37Speaker 2: lititiously being argued about right now. How are we going
- 30:40Speaker 2: to label this green Witch? And Greenwitch is taken so.
- 30:47Speaker 3: By the standard green Witch costume.
- 30:50Speaker 4: But yeah, I.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Was thinking something along the lines of movie Witch, maybe
- 30:58Speaker 3: to differentiate it from the Green Witch. I'm not a
- 31:02Speaker 3: funny guy.
- 31:05Speaker 4: I was gonna say, which with voice and pain? Maybe?
- 31:09Speaker 6: Which with voice and pain?
- 31:11Speaker 4: Is that I'm not a writer?
- 31:12Speaker 1: Is that?
- 31:16Speaker 3: What about that?
- 31:16Speaker 4: Can we can we just call it that goes.
- 31:20Speaker 6: Which with signature riff witch riff?
- 31:27Speaker 3: Yes, that's good.
- 31:28Speaker 8: I was gonna pitch which that's friends with Ariana Grande.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Oh, but then you have to change it because they
- 31:34Speaker 2: are in a Grande costume. It's tiny girls, big ponytail,
- 31:37Speaker 2: So which that's friends with tiny.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Girl, bigtail.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Wow?
- 31:41Speaker 3: What about the the joker costume? We're trying to run
- 31:44Speaker 3: through that.
- 31:46Speaker 1: They're calling it mental illness.
- 31:48Speaker 4: Yeah, we like that mental illness. Clown is what they're
- 31:52Speaker 4: calling it, and I don't think it captures it.
- 31:58Speaker 1: What about what about.
- 32:00Speaker 6: Deranged business man? Because he's wearing a suit.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Okay, and in the second movie it's kind of a
- 32:07Speaker 3: court room drama, right, so, uh, clown clown maybe, well,
- 32:13Speaker 3: clown who represents himself? Sorry spoiler.
- 32:17Speaker 4: Wow, that's interesting. What about what about clown with signature laugh?
- 32:23Speaker 6: Interesting?
- 32:24Speaker 8: And then the girl version, the Lady gobabers, you can
- 32:26Speaker 8: say clown with signature laugh?
- 32:27Speaker 1: Girl?
- 32:28Speaker 2: Can I ask why have we never labeled a costume
- 32:33Speaker 2: with the name as a question?
- 32:34Speaker 6: Like what if it? What if his name was why
- 32:37Speaker 6: He's so serious?
- 32:39Speaker 4: That's a good I guess because it's not a label,
- 32:42Speaker 4: it's a question.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Maybe, so it's called why He's so serious?
- 32:47Speaker 6: Yes, question?
- 32:48Speaker 1: And actually I did it.
- 32:49Speaker 8: I've done I've bottled for a costume. That was a question,
- 32:52Speaker 8: and it was it looked like a bowl of soup.
- 32:54Speaker 8: But it also looked like like a chicken pop pie,
- 32:57Speaker 8: so it was and it was a kid, so it
- 32:59Speaker 8: said soup. Question mark didn't do well.
- 33:02Speaker 6: Yeah, I kind of don't understand it.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, I just like shot the air out of.
- 33:07Speaker 3: The room because they kind of sound like poems a
- 33:10Speaker 3: lot of the time. It's and it and nobody wants
- 33:12Speaker 3: to wear a pole. You know, they either want to.
- 33:15Speaker 3: I mean, let's talk about the the core Halloween emotions
- 33:20Speaker 3: that people want to tap into. They want to be scary,
- 33:23Speaker 3: they want to be funny, they want to be sexy, sexy.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Sexy for sure.
- 33:29Speaker 3: And some want to be heady, confusing, make you feel
- 33:35Speaker 3: make them feel smarter than you because they can't figure
- 33:38Speaker 3: out your sort of They want to.
- 33:39Speaker 4: Go, do you know what I am? And then you
- 33:41Speaker 4: spend five minutes going I don't, and then they go, no,
- 33:44Speaker 4: look it's this this, and you're like, oh, yeah, I
- 33:46Speaker 4: guess yeah.
- 33:48Speaker 2: And I'll speak to my community too. They want to
- 33:50Speaker 2: be amorphic. They want you not to know the shapes
- 33:53Speaker 2: of their bodies. They want you not to know where things.
- 33:55Speaker 6: Begin and end.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Because I was, of course, in the younger days. I
- 33:59Speaker 2: was original Dallas Cubles cheerlead model in the seventies and
- 34:02Speaker 2: eighties for those costumes.
- 34:04Speaker 3: I saw you in the documentary it was Cowboys Cheerleader.
- 34:08Speaker 4: You were just chill.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I was the model in the costume. But I
- 34:11Speaker 2: was yeah so so, but I wasn't. It wasn't in
- 34:14Speaker 2: the documentary.
- 34:15Speaker 3: You were yeah, I love it, but no, I remember
- 34:19Speaker 3: now you were.
- 34:20Speaker 4: No, there was. They had that three seconds where they
- 34:22Speaker 4: went and we were even Halloween costumes, and then boom
- 34:25Speaker 4: and then you went away and.
- 34:26Speaker 2: They did the ken Burns kind of up and down
- 34:28Speaker 2: zoom of my costumes.
- 34:29Speaker 8: It looked like it looked like it went into Eye movie.
- 34:32Speaker 8: It looked like it went into Eyemovie really quick.
- 34:33Speaker 6: Because it did. I can't believe you guys didn't come
- 34:36Speaker 6: to my premiere party for that. I was so excited.
- 34:39Speaker 4: Sorry, it was.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 34:42Speaker 6: I made so much chili and so few people came.
- 34:44Speaker 2: I ate it for three weeks.
- 34:47Speaker 4: Been there.
- 34:50Speaker 6: Oh I think, I think, what are you.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Doing with those women at your house? I gotta know,
- 34:55Speaker 3: I gotta know did they come home with you?
- 34:57Speaker 2: Just a quick heads up. I think Ruthie has a
- 34:59Speaker 2: frozen in some way.
- 35:01Speaker 4: It's a big way.
- 35:03Speaker 3: It's a major way. Oh what do you do with
- 35:07Speaker 3: a frozen kid? Should we web md it?
- 35:10Speaker 4: Well?
- 35:11Speaker 3: I'm back, hello, thank god, because I really didn't know
- 35:15Speaker 3: what to do.
- 35:16Speaker 4: We were almost worthy.
- 35:17Speaker 6: We were web md looking at what to do with
- 35:19Speaker 6: the frozen kid.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. You know what happened. It's because I'm
- 35:22Speaker 1: taking this call on my jitterbug.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Oh, incredible service for a jitterbug.
- 35:28Speaker 4: So I can't even break it down, it's breaking down
- 35:30Speaker 4: amazing well for me, I kind of run an interesting
- 35:34Speaker 4: gambit because and not a lot of sexy guys are
- 35:38Speaker 4: trying to choose me. My costumes are kind of for
- 35:41Speaker 4: the more twisted folk, the people that would wear a
- 35:44Speaker 4: giant suit and go A lot of the people that
- 35:49Speaker 4: are trained in uh what do they call the things
- 35:52Speaker 4: you put on your feet to make you taller, still
- 35:55Speaker 4: still set, A lot of still people, a lot of
- 35:59Speaker 4: Jack Scaleton types. People want to be Jack Skellington, Gregory.
- 36:05Speaker 8: You also have so many that are just the head
- 36:08Speaker 8: like you kind of represent like men who go to
- 36:10Speaker 8: costume parties, like wearing their normal clothes with just a mask.
- 36:14Speaker 4: Mm hmm. That's a big, big because I don't fit
- 36:17Speaker 4: into a lot of the costumes they do use my head,
- 36:19Speaker 4: which is the perfect head size for a man. I
- 36:23Speaker 4: have the perfect head size and perfect shape of head
- 36:26Speaker 4: for a man in general. How did you find that out?
- 36:29Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 36:29Speaker 1: How did you find that?
- 36:31Speaker 3: What?
- 36:33Speaker 4: I would walk up to a lot of men and
- 36:35Speaker 4: feel their heads and figure it out, and.
- 36:37Speaker 3: You figured out that there was a best.
- 36:40Speaker 4: There was a median, There was a medium by.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Holding heads and figuring it out.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Uh huh, I would go interesting and too small, too hot,
- 36:50Speaker 4: too cold.
- 36:51Speaker 2: You don't think there's any confirmation just right, Okay, you
- 36:54Speaker 2: don't think there's any confirmation bias there.
- 36:56Speaker 6: You're starting with. Your head is the hypothesis.
- 36:58Speaker 3: My head is perfect, is a little better than than
- 37:01Speaker 3: the head I'm feeling here.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Feel your own head.
- 37:05Speaker 4: No, I don't know about that. I mean, look at this.
- 37:07Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I mean did.
- 37:09Speaker 3: You go into a hat store or anything? How did
- 37:12Speaker 3: you all?
- 37:14Speaker 4: Right? Wow? Wow, shot show.
- 37:21Speaker 8: I can't tell if he's looking at the girls holding
- 37:23Speaker 8: donuts or he's holding his head.
- 37:28Speaker 3: The girls are kind of opening up and closing the
- 37:30Speaker 3: boxes the every time you say hot shot.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Job, I'll tell you I'm suddenly not scared for those
- 37:35Speaker 2: girls anymore.
- 37:36Speaker 6: I don't think he's into them at all. I think
- 37:37Speaker 6: he wants so.
- 37:39Speaker 3: I think this has nothing to do with them. He
- 37:44Speaker 3: watched his own help, don't ye. Where's your parents?
- 37:52Speaker 6: Ah?
- 37:53Speaker 1: You guys know.
- 37:56Speaker 4: Glendale let your house.
- 38:00Speaker 8: They used to come to gigs and then they got
- 38:02Speaker 8: they can't anymore.
- 38:03Speaker 4: Yeah, they had your other had they had your siblings,
- 38:07Speaker 4: your two siblings.
- 38:08Speaker 2: And they brought their own lights and it confused everybody.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Well, I was always upset they kept on setting their
- 38:15Speaker 4: lights to Sepia.
- 38:18Speaker 1: It was so weird.
- 38:20Speaker 4: We shoot blue, very white blue, sholu. We do not
- 38:27Speaker 4: shoes white.
- 38:29Speaker 1: White for blue.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:35Speaker 1: No, it sucked.
- 38:36Speaker 8: My parents were just I mean, we talk about stage parents, right,
- 38:39Speaker 8: but talking about stage model parents, it's all other breed,
- 38:44Speaker 8: especially when we're when we're being used. I mean, I
- 38:47Speaker 8: think our contracts just aren't enough anymore because we take
- 38:51Speaker 8: one picture and they can use are they using you
- 38:53Speaker 8: guys and changing the costume you're wearing sometimes based off.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Of the picture.
- 38:57Speaker 8: If I'm not specific enough in my face, I know
- 39:01Speaker 8: they're going to use it for a different costume and we.
- 39:03Speaker 4: Have to get a I out of costume.
- 39:07Speaker 6: Hag after it has to speak to that.
- 39:09Speaker 4: I actually time.
- 39:10Speaker 2: It's in my writer, but it's it's because we had
- 39:13Speaker 2: a really, really, really radical president about twenty five years
- 39:16Speaker 2: ago who made a specific close just for me because
- 39:19Speaker 2: I was complaining about it.
- 39:20Speaker 6: It was passive aggressive, but now it turned out it
- 39:22Speaker 6: was correct.
- 39:23Speaker 1: They worked out for sheep.
- 39:24Speaker 6: Yeah, he said, well, how about we just give you this?
- 39:27Speaker 6: And I said I'll take it.
- 39:29Speaker 4: And local's laughing now, it's unbelievable that you got an
- 39:32Speaker 4: AI hag after a writer in your contract twenty five
- 39:35Speaker 4: years ago. Well, I was agreed.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Just they would cut my face out of the real
- 39:39Speaker 2: magazines and they'd put the face on other costumes.
- 39:43Speaker 6: It was it was physical. You'd get one in the
- 39:46Speaker 6: paper that had tape on.
- 39:47Speaker 3: It and they got me a class. It like old
- 39:50Speaker 3: film where they they'd splice different things on top of
- 39:54Speaker 3: each other. I'm really trying, but you.
- 39:57Speaker 4: Got to push harder. Look, I think we can all
- 39:58Speaker 4: agree we're fine with AI in the writer's rooms. That
- 40:02Speaker 4: makes sense.
- 40:03Speaker 3: That's a lot of Halloween costume names should be AI.
- 40:08Speaker 3: That's the only thing that I believe you should be AI. Yes,
- 40:13Speaker 3: Because I'm trying to appeal to everybody. I got a
- 40:16Speaker 3: big wide tent, right, I gotta appeal to some guys
- 40:20Speaker 3: because all the funny guys who buy the funny Guy
- 40:23Speaker 3: costumes also love AI. I gotta keep everybody happy.
- 40:28Speaker 4: Those anybody who buys a funny Guy costume has a cryptocurrency, will.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Absolutely and they're going to an NFT party in that costume.
- 40:39Speaker 3: Yeah, they have a lot and so it's like do
- 40:42Speaker 3: I because I gotta eat too, right, because I'm not
- 40:45Speaker 3: gonna be hag after president forever. Because the OPO campaign
- 40:48Speaker 3: has already started well, and Spears has already started her oppos.
- 40:54Speaker 4: Deal Pickle Spears, she's got those deal piles.
- 40:59Speaker 2: She's prom seeing Pickle money is going to change the
- 41:01Speaker 2: Halloween costume industry.
- 41:04Speaker 3: I'm sorry if she thinks that.
- 41:06Speaker 4: No. Oh god, wow, we go web Where the kid go? Kid?
- 41:15Speaker 3: The kid go?
- 41:16Speaker 4: Disappeared?
- 41:17Speaker 6: Kid go? Where did the child go?
- 41:19Speaker 3: Okay? Google disappeared kid? It's not good order?
- 41:24Speaker 2: Okay, Ruthie's badly We're now in a new order on
- 41:27Speaker 2: the Zoom, which is.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Y.
- 41:31Speaker 8: Sorry, my internet went out on my jitter buck actually
- 41:34Speaker 8: a complete internet loss.
- 41:35Speaker 1: So now back.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Wow, well, welcome back, Ruthie. I'm really glad we didn't
- 41:40Speaker 3: have to call anybody to go do a wellness check
- 41:43Speaker 3: on you.
- 41:44Speaker 4: We were at web MD and what to do with
- 41:46Speaker 4: a disappeared kid?
- 41:48Speaker 8: Here's a problem. Who would you call? Who would you
- 41:52Speaker 8: call if I wasn't?
- 41:52Speaker 1: Okay?
- 41:54Speaker 4: Ruth Sorry, Ruthie, is this a real emotion or a
- 41:57Speaker 4: costume you're preparing for?
- 41:58Speaker 1: Who would you call if you thought I was stuck.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Who would you.
- 42:04Speaker 4: Call that's it? I guess your parents. They live in Glendale.
- 42:11Speaker 4: They're very they're very supportive.
- 42:13Speaker 6: Ruthie, are your parents?
- 42:14Speaker 4: Are your parents up to something?
- 42:17Speaker 1: Have you ever seen me leave the studio? Have you
- 42:21Speaker 1: ever seen the studio?
- 42:23Speaker 3: Think of it?
- 42:24Speaker 2: I don't.
- 42:24Speaker 6: I don't like to watch kids walk away. So that's
- 42:27Speaker 6: not something that i'm That's not something I'm doing in practice.
- 42:33Speaker 4: It's not a situation.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Where nobody's accusing you.
- 42:36Speaker 6: I don't watch kids walk away.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Weird specify.
- 42:43Speaker 6: Have you ever seen me leave the studio? What am
- 42:45Speaker 6: I'm watching a little ass walk away? No industry for
- 42:49Speaker 6: fifty five years.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Astra, astrad. Don't cover your bases. It's actually making away.
- 42:57Speaker 4: You said, I hate to see him go, but I
- 42:59Speaker 4: do not watch them walk away exactly.
- 43:02Speaker 6: And I've been saying that much. I've been saying this
- 43:04Speaker 6: is the oil embargo. I've been saying that for years.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Look, Ruthie, I like to say, sorry.
- 43:13Speaker 4: Which oil in bargo seventy eight? Yeah? So wait, sorry, Ruthie,
- 43:21Speaker 4: your parent? What's going on?
- 43:22Speaker 3: Well? I noticed something in Ruthie. I'm because I was
- 43:26Speaker 3: a little worried about you. I almost called a wellness
- 43:28Speaker 3: check a couple of days ago because I noticed, you know,
- 43:31Speaker 3: you never you never come into the studio, you never
- 43:33Speaker 3: leave the studio, and I've never seen you eat anything
- 43:37Speaker 3: at craft Services.
- 43:39Speaker 4: I was actually thinking about writing you a wellness check.
- 43:41Speaker 6: Oh my god, well.
- 43:45Speaker 3: It's funny. Can I take that?
- 43:46Speaker 4: No?
- 43:47Speaker 1: Please, you can't take that. You're no money. You can't
- 43:49Speaker 1: take that. You're not funny, You're not funny.
- 43:52Speaker 6: Let me have it all.
- 43:53Speaker 4: You get the family guy costumes, the family guy in
- 43:56Speaker 4: mean bart costumes. I get these.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Words about writing a wellness check for fifty thousand massages
- 44:05Speaker 2: or something.
- 44:07Speaker 5: Also, it's not funny, it's not funny.
- 44:11Speaker 6: You take it's going to be funny.
- 44:13Speaker 8: If you're not funny, you're not funny. Stop trying to
- 44:16Speaker 8: make yourself funny. You're not funny.
- 44:18Speaker 2: I also want to I just want to say, in
- 44:19Speaker 2: defense of Ruthie not eating the crap services, it's all
- 44:22Speaker 2: Halloween themed oreos.
- 44:24Speaker 6: So it's so it makes me sick. It makes me
- 44:27Speaker 6: sick to go there.
- 44:28Speaker 8: The sandwich that has Halloween oreos discussing too much.
- 44:34Speaker 3: They try and dress it up like turkey.
- 44:35Speaker 4: It's not I have a very interesting question that you
- 44:39Speaker 4: know when I get into my own head boom, I
- 44:42Speaker 4: gotta think about.
- 44:45Speaker 1: It's disgusting how much you want to fuck your own head.
- 44:48Speaker 4: You're a child. I don't want to fuck my own head.
- 44:52Speaker 3: It really seems like you're trying to fuck your own head.
- 44:55Speaker 4: Can't implement a good head.
- 44:57Speaker 1: You want to fuck your skull, you want to your stuff.
- 45:00Speaker 3: These days, I thought i'd heard of every kind of
- 45:02Speaker 3: perversion a guy could have based on you know, the
- 45:05Speaker 3: kind of friends I hang out with. But you, Gregory,
- 45:08Speaker 3: I have never heard the combination of words, yeah, fuck
- 45:11Speaker 3: your own head.
- 45:12Speaker 4: I lived.
- 45:14Speaker 2: I lived a life where I was in the cruises
- 45:16Speaker 2: for four years straight. I've seen a lot of men
- 45:20Speaker 2: do a lot of weird.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Things their heads.
- 45:23Speaker 6: No, I haven't fucked their own feet.
- 45:25Speaker 4: Yes, Look I don't want to fuck my own head,
- 45:27Speaker 4: but maybe I want to take it out to dinner. Okay?
- 45:30Speaker 4: Is that a crime? Look what comes out of my twisted, dark, sexy,
- 45:37Speaker 4: illustrious head is this? How do you guys prepare for
- 45:40Speaker 4: when you see the costume on the rack? You have
- 45:43Speaker 4: moments to decide how you're going to approach it. And
- 45:46Speaker 4: I think that's where our art comes alive. The purest
- 45:50Speaker 4: form of following costume workers models is the decision when
- 45:56Speaker 4: you put it on, do you guys find it before?
- 45:58Speaker 4: Do you try it on and find it there? I mean,
- 46:00Speaker 4: what is the process?
- 46:01Speaker 2: Like, I can't find it before. If I find it before,
- 46:04Speaker 2: it's not gonna look right because it's not inflated. I
- 46:06Speaker 2: have to be in it, and it has to be inflated.
- 46:08Speaker 2: I've done faces, I've pre thought faces for an inflated costume,
- 46:12Speaker 2: and it's usually like this.
- 46:13Speaker 6: Yeah, even when it's inflated.
- 46:15Speaker 4: The plan planning doesn't work for me. You cannot plan.
- 46:18Speaker 6: You have to be in it.
- 46:19Speaker 4: You have to be in the mind.
- 46:20Speaker 6: And so it's a lot of it for me.
- 46:22Speaker 2: I mean, if I'm imagining that I'm in a t
- 46:24Speaker 2: Rex costume, I love.
- 46:26Speaker 1: That's good.
- 46:29Speaker 3: It's almost like I see it. I could. I could
- 46:31Speaker 3: pretty much see it on you. Oh that was a
- 46:33Speaker 3: Bronzsaurus at that time.
- 46:37Speaker 4: You gotta do the prep. You gotta see thespes.
- 46:40Speaker 3: That's a bunch of grapes.
- 46:41Speaker 6: I know that.
- 46:43Speaker 3: That's a bunch of grapes.
- 46:45Speaker 6: You cut me.
- 46:47Speaker 3: It's a funny costume.
- 46:48Speaker 4: Yes, I believe you have to do the prep. But
- 46:51Speaker 4: but once you have done the prep in the work,
- 46:53Speaker 4: you let it all go and enter the costume and
- 46:56Speaker 4: whatever the costume tells you. You were the vessel for
- 46:59Speaker 4: the costume. You know. That's my approach. Yeah.
- 47:02Speaker 3: I kind of try and think of for me personally,
- 47:05Speaker 3: like what what reaction the costume is gonna get from
- 47:12Speaker 3: the people perceiving it, And then I try and mirror that,
- 47:15Speaker 3: like if people are gonna give it a like oh,
- 47:18Speaker 3: that's pretty good, I try and hit the reverse of that,
- 47:21Speaker 3: which is right.
- 47:23Speaker 4: I mean, you that's what made you famous. Your I
- 47:25Speaker 4: don't know.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Look, I don't know, Ricky. I just came up with this.
- 47:31Speaker 8: Yeah, you and I did that together, rick When we
- 47:33Speaker 8: did a costume together, you were you were John F.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Kennedy and I was Bloody Jackie ye reverse Betwist and
- 47:42Speaker 1: I was a baby. And I was like, it's a.
- 47:46Speaker 4: Weird, perfect daddy daughter costume. It was perfect daddy daughter costume.
- 47:53Speaker 2: It was imagine Kennedy, imagine Jackie was killed.
- 47:59Speaker 6: Was a baby case about.
- 48:04Speaker 3: No.
- 48:05Speaker 4: I mean, we have to feel a little weird.
- 48:07Speaker 3: I didn't really know how to play that one.
- 48:10Speaker 1: My hand and we walked together. It was really sweet.
- 48:13Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's like, okay, this is sort of and
- 48:16Speaker 3: there's sort of gruesome angle to it. But I was
- 48:19Speaker 3: a little confused and the reaction I was picturing was
- 48:22Speaker 3: a little bit huh, So I kind of.
- 48:25Speaker 4: Tried to give it a I was and it was good.
- 48:27Speaker 4: I mean, we have to take a second to talk
- 48:29Speaker 4: about that. The pair costumes, the pair costumes, you've got costumes.
- 48:35Speaker 1: I love what we work together.
- 48:36Speaker 4: I love the son. Rarely do they talk about the
- 48:40Speaker 4: interesting pair costumes to the step son step mom costume.
- 48:46Speaker 4: I mean, it's just it's interesting.
- 48:50Speaker 6: It's weird that.
- 48:50Speaker 3: They added that. I think we're getting a little two
- 48:52Speaker 3: sex positive. I gotta say, but can.
- 48:55Speaker 2: I say, and maybe this is just me thinking out loud.
- 48:58Speaker 2: I couldn't believe when that said step mom steps on costume.
- 49:01Speaker 2: And then I saw the steps On costume. I said,
- 49:04Speaker 2: I thought, steps on is multi layered, right, you can't
- 49:07Speaker 2: just pick a steps like.
- 49:08Speaker 6: I can't look at you and say look like.
- 49:10Speaker 3: Steps Actually they did.
- 49:13Speaker 1: They did come.
- 49:16Speaker 6: And I said, oh that is the steps on.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Yes, rugby shirt shirt, ah.
- 49:27Speaker 3: Two identical pairs of Nikes rush off of Christmas.
- 49:33Speaker 1: It was so weird. And the wig is barely a
- 49:35Speaker 1: wig at all. It's just like close to the skull
- 49:38Speaker 1: hair and.
- 49:39Speaker 2: I can't believe it's selling. You have to buy an
- 49:41Speaker 2: outfit that includes two pairs of new Nikes and switch
- 49:45Speaker 2: its thousand dollars costume for a couple.
- 49:51Speaker 4: I mean, when they're able to capture a relationship in
- 49:53Speaker 4: a costume, it's amazing.
- 49:55Speaker 8: Well, we've all done the family costume. We did when
- 49:57Speaker 8: we were all corn.
- 49:59Speaker 6: We did one. We did the corn costumes.
- 50:02Speaker 3: They set us all up.
- 50:03Speaker 4: It was I don't fully understand because those were just
- 50:07Speaker 4: individual corn costumes that tied it into a family.
- 50:11Speaker 2: It was all of us, right, So so I was
- 50:14Speaker 2: an inflatable corn. Of course, Ricky you were an ear
- 50:17Speaker 2: of corn. So you were Caughn with a big ear.
- 50:20Speaker 2: You were a little kid corn. And of Gregory you were.
- 50:25Speaker 4: You were a big corn corn.
- 50:26Speaker 6: You were scaring corn.
- 50:28Speaker 4: I was in a suit with a corn head. That's
- 50:30Speaker 4: a big corn.
- 50:31Speaker 6: It was called yeah, cornfields Revenge.
- 50:34Speaker 4: Yes.
- 50:35Speaker 3: And our familial relationship was kind of confusing because you know,
- 50:40Speaker 3: it wasn't really clear who was married to, who, whose
- 50:44Speaker 3: kids were who are sort of at a certain point,
- 50:47Speaker 3: I think they've just started putting four actors together. That's
- 50:51Speaker 3: a family.
- 50:51Speaker 6: I love the three weeks of method living together we
- 50:53Speaker 6: did though. That was wonderful.
- 50:55Speaker 4: That was amazing.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Did you notice I never left?
- 51:00Speaker 4: So what are you trying to say?
- 51:03Speaker 8: I'm trying to say. I'm trying to say that I'm
- 51:08Speaker 8: owned by Spirit Halloween who.
- 51:12Speaker 3: My money was on ghost?
- 51:16Speaker 1: Wait?
- 51:18Speaker 3: My money was on ghosts?
- 51:20Speaker 4: How much money you put down? I'm boring.
- 51:22Speaker 6: I'm so boring, I thought abuse. I'm so boring.
- 51:25Speaker 3: I just lost five hundred dollars.
- 51:27Speaker 4: Ruthie.
- 51:27Speaker 3: I was doing a side bed on FanDuel. You know what,
- 51:32Speaker 3: what's this kid's deal? And and I had five hundred
- 51:35Speaker 3: dollars on ghost?
- 51:38Speaker 1: Were you all on FanDuel about me?
- 51:40Speaker 6: Yes? FanDuel is a wonderful way to connect with friends.
- 51:45Speaker 4: I love code you HGPP. Go to fanduels slash backslash
- 52:00Speaker 4: fan gul and you get jump me.
- 52:03Speaker 3: Twenty dollars credit to use on your first bet uh
- 52:07Speaker 3: and then it's five percent off the transaction fees for
- 52:11Speaker 3: the rest of the month of October. So you really
- 52:14Speaker 3: gotta hop on that because you're gonna want to. This
- 52:17Speaker 3: deal won't last forever and we're trying to get more sponsorships,
- 52:20Speaker 3: so so really use one if you could fanglse.
- 52:25Speaker 6: Use our fangal code.
- 52:27Speaker 4: So you're owned by spirit Halloween. Well maybe that's you
- 52:30Speaker 4: can tell us how it actually works. I mean a
- 52:32Speaker 4: lot of us just show up. There's a costume there.
- 52:34Speaker 4: There's nobody there really besides a photographer who goes. Look, man,
- 52:38Speaker 4: they just pay me to be here and take photos.
- 52:40Speaker 4: He's so sad.
- 52:43Speaker 6: Sad.
- 52:43Speaker 4: Marius, have you guys, Marius? I met Marius, mar Marius
- 52:48Speaker 4: just devastating.
- 52:49Speaker 2: Marius asked me to get pizza with him after a
- 52:51Speaker 2: shoot one. Oh yeah, he said Dominoes.
- 52:56Speaker 6: No, he said, Dominoes is on the way.
- 52:58Speaker 4: He pre ordered it. It was pizza store he wanted to,
- 53:02Speaker 4: he said.
- 53:03Speaker 2: He said, we can't hang on the studio, but we
- 53:04Speaker 2: can sit in the truck b of my car and
- 53:06Speaker 2: I have some Dominoes coming.
- 53:08Speaker 6: Can I tell you the order?
- 53:09Speaker 3: He didn't want to take you out. I said at
- 53:12Speaker 3: the Town Pizza or something.
- 53:14Speaker 6: Pepperoni Jalapinos on Alfredo sauce.
- 53:17Speaker 3: No, I gotta listen. If you're already kids. Word of advice,
- 53:26Speaker 3: do not when you're trying to make a new friend,
- 53:29Speaker 3: do not go for Alfredo pizza.
- 53:32Speaker 6: Sauce on the first round, Ruthie, write this down.
- 53:37Speaker 1: Close friends, Alfredo, close friends.
- 53:39Speaker 8: Now what about what about meat lovers?
- 53:46Speaker 4: It's definitely aggressive, definitely, maybe it definitely leans you a
- 53:49Speaker 4: certain way. When I see somebody order a meat Lovers,
- 53:52Speaker 4: I go, okay, it's a beije flag for me. First
- 53:55Speaker 4: time meat lovers.
- 53:57Speaker 6: Okay, can I bring that up?
- 53:58Speaker 2: Because that was a costume I had to do this
- 53:59Speaker 2: year and I don't know what it is.
- 54:06Speaker 6: I wasn't doing meat lovers. I did meat Lovers in
- 54:08Speaker 6: the seventies. You did a red flag and I was
- 54:11Speaker 6: based flag.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and it was green flag.
- 54:13Speaker 3: It's weird that they did a family of flags.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it was weird. I was separated flag.
- 54:20Speaker 6: Yeah, you were spooky flag.
- 54:22Speaker 4: Skulling soccer flag. Yes, skull and crossbow and sooky.
- 54:25Speaker 6: Pirates are so spooky to me.
- 54:28Speaker 4: So what a beige flag is ast It feels like
- 54:31Speaker 4: you're filled with them. So I feel like it would
- 54:33Speaker 4: be great to know a bait. Why are you giving
- 54:35Speaker 4: that face? You don't know what it is.
- 54:37Speaker 6: I just base flag sounds like something to me.
- 54:41Speaker 1: That face was so curious. I bet it could buy
- 54:44Speaker 1: you a curiosity card.
- 54:47Speaker 4: Okay, Oh, we're back. At the Yo Mama things got it?
- 54:50Speaker 8: Oh okay, Unfortunately I can't drop it.
- 54:55Speaker 4: It's just how you're talk A beige flag is something
- 54:58Speaker 4: that makes you go mmmm, it's not a red flag.
- 55:01Speaker 4: But I'm gonna keep looking at that to see if
- 55:03Speaker 4: it is actually problematic at the end of the day.
- 55:05Speaker 8: Yeah, so interesting how we're all like the amount of
- 55:09Speaker 8: technological classrooms were doing, like we were doing like the
- 55:12Speaker 8: rainbow poop emoji, We're salsa girl, we're doing. I saw
- 55:17Speaker 8: somebody come into the studio the other day because I
- 55:19Speaker 8: sleep there, and they just did the dropbox logo.
- 55:23Speaker 6: Interesting.
- 55:24Speaker 1: Interesting, Yeah, a.
- 55:25Speaker 3: Big tech is trying to make a play for Halloween.
- 55:36Speaker 1: Camera because I raised, I have a question for you
- 55:40Speaker 1: guys later.
- 55:44Speaker 6: Raised just for.
- 55:46Speaker 4: The podcast listeners, you few and mighty.
- 55:49Speaker 6: Uh.
- 55:51Speaker 4: Just the camera just moved and Ruthie just switched to
- 55:54Speaker 4: the locations because she raised her hands. Very exciting, very excited,
- 56:00Speaker 4: big stuff like a ghost.
- 56:02Speaker 2: I actually do I have a quick question just just
- 56:05Speaker 2: for you, Rick, just for sure.
- 56:08Speaker 6: You're Rick Rich No, I said Rick.
- 56:15Speaker 4: No.
- 56:15Speaker 2: He said for me, I have a question for I
- 56:18Speaker 2: have a question for the president of HAG After we
- 56:20Speaker 2: were talking a little bit about how your term is ending.
- 56:23Speaker 6: You don't want to do this forever.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Well, we all didn't have hag After.
- 56:26Speaker 2: Gregory stuff a color and that beautiful head of yours,
- 56:31Speaker 2: and shut.
- 56:32Speaker 4: Your brow, don't put me in there. It's okay, Rick.
- 56:37Speaker 2: The question I have for you, it's a question you
- 56:39Speaker 2: probably have been thinking about a lot. Every president of
- 56:42Speaker 2: hag After goes mysteriously missing and winds up bad after
- 56:45Speaker 2: their their term, and I'm wondering, I'm wondering what you
- 56:51Speaker 2: thought about, you know, if that's something that weighs on you.
- 56:54Speaker 3: Well, of course, as we sit here on today, October sixteenth,
- 57:00Speaker 3: before I know that the day approaches where I will
- 57:05Speaker 3: end up in a location where I'm not supposed to
- 57:08Speaker 3: be in my heart won't be beaten anymore. And I
- 57:12Speaker 3: think I got about fourteen days left. Usually a lot.
- 57:17Speaker 4: Getting the signs, because they always used to say, I
- 57:20Speaker 4: get I'm getting all these signs. That's it's seeing to.
- 57:22Speaker 3: Be omens that portend doom. Yeah, I think that I've
- 57:26Speaker 3: been seeing sort of like you know, black cats, sudden
- 57:30Speaker 3: solar eclipses, things that that aren't really supposed to happen.
- 57:35Speaker 3: So I do know what's coming. I hope that I
- 57:38Speaker 3: don't end up like you know, last year's president Denise,
- 57:43Speaker 3: a woman, uh who little bitch. She they stuck her down.
- 57:49Speaker 3: They stuck her in a freezer, unfortunately, and.
- 57:52Speaker 4: Stuck her down a freezer.
- 57:54Speaker 3: He stuck her down in a freezer. She got too cold.
- 57:57Speaker 3: And another guy died in a canoe. A couple years back.
- 58:00Speaker 3: Another guy, uh, sort of got put on a roller
- 58:03Speaker 3: coaster and he went around so many times that his
- 58:06Speaker 3: brain eventually.
- 58:06Speaker 4: Just so that one, by far was the worst. Right.
- 58:09Speaker 6: That was awful because it took a long time.
- 58:13Speaker 4: It took days with stuff, and that what felt so preventable.
- 58:17Speaker 6: And every time I.
- 58:18Speaker 2: Remember being there because they called this that anybody can
- 58:21Speaker 2: come because he's coming through again, let's try to get him.
- 58:23Speaker 6: And there were hundreds of people in there and.
- 58:25Speaker 2: Everyone had nets and everybody that looks they were all
- 58:28Speaker 2: trying to grab him.
- 58:30Speaker 3: And we all tried, but unfortunately it is like an
- 58:34Speaker 3: unnatural process for hag after presidents. It's sort of like
- 58:37Speaker 3: how octopuses after they give birthday and they raised the
- 58:41Speaker 3: they reared the child, they die. That's just the circle
- 58:45Speaker 3: of life. And you know, when you volunteer, when you
- 58:47Speaker 3: try and campaign to run for hag after you're not
- 58:50Speaker 3: long for this world and you're really given one last gift.
- 58:53Speaker 6: So yeah, and I do love what we do.
- 58:55Speaker 2: Will just give you an opportunity to design the costume
- 58:58Speaker 2: that we're going to commemorate you at.
- 59:00Speaker 6: And then if you thought.
- 59:02Speaker 3: What do you think I'm playing around with some ideas,
- 59:07Speaker 3: I you know, because you know that how there are
- 59:10Speaker 3: those whoopy cushions, the funny ones where guys address.
- 59:14Speaker 4: Cushion nothing than a whoop cushion.
- 59:18Speaker 1: I know, touching Gregory step, touching your head.
- 59:24Speaker 3: Really funny, They're really funny. Well, you know, I was
- 59:28Speaker 3: thinking the main you know, I've been scratching my head
- 59:31Speaker 3: about this for twenty years.
- 59:32Speaker 4: Me too.
- 59:33Speaker 3: When you chill, when you are the whoopee cushion costume,
- 59:40Speaker 3: you don't really get to make the whoopee cushion noise.
- 59:43Speaker 1: So what I'm proposing is, so.
- 59:48Speaker 6: Why not?
- 59:49Speaker 1: Yeah, like, you can't use it.
- 59:53Speaker 4: You can't use it the mechanism.
- 59:56Speaker 3: It's practical. Yeah, it's a it's a joke. But wouldn't
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: it be funny er if you could use it for
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: what it's for? So that's why I propose a redesign
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: of the whoopee cushion costume to be made of one
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: hundred real practical woope cushions. So whenever you whenever you
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: lie down, you sit down at a party, maybe maybe
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: maybe you find a special someone to kiss, you're gonna
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: be making that fart noise. And I don't know, it's
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: just something that that makes me smile a little bit.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: So but I'm not settled on that yet, but I'm
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: you know, it would make me happy. I'll say that.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: Wow, a usable woop be cushion costume.
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: D's good, That's beautiful.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: You're just wondering, though, if that flap is too big,
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: that's going to be loud. That's gonna be like the
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: Dune soundtrack type of fart.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I am worried that that.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: I'm Dune soundtrack.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: You know, the Dude's soundtrack, that big fart when the
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: world comes out.
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: I do what you speaking of Dune. I hated being
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: that pile of sand this year for Doune.
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: I think they missed the mark. I think they picked
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: the wrong thing to make a costume out of.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: Them. It should have been the worm the sand the
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: worm was in.
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: Is it funny to you Fox that a little kid's
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: a pile of sand.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: You know what which one? I don't like the Challengers
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: costume from this year. I think it's inappropriate. I think
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: it's weird. I think two inflatable guys onto a tennis skirt.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: It's as you did a great job with it, but.
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: It was thank you. I looked up Zindea for a
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: day before it had to be her. It was very interesting.
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: For a day.
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: I looked up for a whole day.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: I set a little tomato timer and I said, gonna
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: looked up everything hens legs.
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: Any click.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: You didn't click on anything.
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: You just clicks.
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: I click.
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: Oh I clicked.
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: You're thinking that's part of looking up, darling.
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: Okay, okay, i'll write that down too.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: Don't have part of looking it's part of looking up.
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: Okay, part of big clicking is part of looking up.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: I guess as we round out here, do we have
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: any final advice that we want to give out?
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Okay?
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: Uh Ruthie, we'll start with you.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Okay, I can raise my hand and see if i'll move.
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: We've already moved to the position. You're already there.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Oh, I thought I moved back.
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: I guess my question is kind of heavy handed it's
- 1:02:38Speaker 8: I love you guys so much. I think our community
- 1:02:40Speaker 8: is great, and I want to leave this studio, so
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: I'm asking for a ride home.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: Sorry sprinters, Sorry, yeah, motorbike.
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: I got ten girls and four hundred donuts. There's just
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: no room. There's just no.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Room donuts so small. Okay, all right, I'll just stay here.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: I guess you can.
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: You can ride the bus with me. Okay, Okay, let's go.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: I live in Montecito Heights, so it's gonna be a
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: little little.
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: Can you take public busy?
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: Yes, it's a three and a half hour trip.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: To Ranongo Cuckamongo. Okay, Cuckamo, Cuckamongo.
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: Cuckamundo cuck. I believe it's run show cucka Mundo.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: We have to use for the Rancho Cucamonga costume.
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: Oh yeah, what a good costume of that's a great
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: one of home communities community hs communities popping up in branches.
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: See a kid comes up to your door and s's
- 1:03:50Speaker 8: trigger treet and it's a gated community of.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: Your own house. Can you imagine wearing that in Rancho Cuckamongo.
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: That's terrified chow cucka Mundo. Well maybe My question was stupid,
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: how do we want to finish this thing?
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Wonderful?
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: You give you some advice, I'll give some advice, and
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: that is, you know, take every moment because as we
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: enter the sunset of our lives, uh, you really never
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: know when it's going to end. So go outside, listen
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: to the birds, really be present. And if you got
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: something to say, say it now, say it now, because
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: you don't know what's going to happen to you next week.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: And you know what I want to say is I
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: really love you guys, And I'm sorry that I well,
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: it sounds silly to say now, but you are all
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: in line to audition for Paris Fashion Week. No, and
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: uh a trip. I tripped you, so you didn't make it.
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: I tripped you because I wanted I wanted you guys
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: to to to stay on the Halloween track with me.
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: So I'm sorry about that.
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: Sorry trying to get into Paris Fashion Week forever. But
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: I was just always too tall. They built that city
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: in the seventeen hundreds. I was never built before it.
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: So it's all right.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: It wasn't going to work out for you anyway, because
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: you only happened after the vaccines.
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: I only happened after the vaccines, and that's why I'm tall.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: And I go on the record all the time to
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: say I'm tall because of the vaccines. I'm tall because
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: of the vaccines. I don't want to finish the episode
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: this way, but God, you've tilted me, you know.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: I say for the advice is I don't live in regrets,
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: and Rick I am.
- 1:05:38Speaker 6: Okay, Yes, I'm related to Eeve Saint Laurent. I knew
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: that I was close. I knew, but I know.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: I'm happy to be here because I give a voice
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: to the shapeless, and I'm so grateful for that. My advice,
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: however tried it may be, is wear shoes that are
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: easy to put on and off because you're gonna be
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: putting on a lot of costumes.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: Oh I had four hundred dollars on your advice being
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: be yourself. Me too.
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: I saw that. I know it's inside.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: Me. You can't look at my fan duel bets you,
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: you rowdy.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: Dog, get out of your own way to get into
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: your head. Oh oh my god.
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: Okay, ladies, can I have a donut? This has gone
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: too far?
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Is how it's gonna end. He's gonna fuck his own head.
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: Finally, everybody get out of here. I've gotta bend down.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: I can't leave, so I guess unfortunately I have to
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: watch this.
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: No, no, that's not how.
- 1:06:46Speaker 9: Let's head out. Let's let Ruthy watch this. Man keeps
- 1:06:50Speaker 9: forgetting she's seven. We're not I'm not doing that's the
- 1:06:54Speaker 9: state guy. I'm not a bad guy.
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: I'm not a weirdo. I'm just a guy who's in
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: love with his own head that drives fifteen women around
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: in a swooter.
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: Well, I'm going to walk out of the room so
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: that you fuck your own head.
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna close my eyes. Fuck your own head.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: As the sun set on the final day, Gregory fucked
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: his own head.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: No, this you can't do. You can't do an epilogue.
- 1:07:21Speaker 6: That's not how it look.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: The costume came in, man who focks his own head,
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: and the face is this.
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: Wow.
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: Okay, should we go out giving everybody our favorite face
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: to do?
- 1:07:32Speaker 8: You should go out giving you fucking your own head.
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: I'm closing my eyes because I'm a head.
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: Okay, here we go. Whoa, that's dim the lights. So
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: what do you do for work? You're ahead? Okay, why
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: don't we unbuttoned some of that hair? Oh god, I've
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: never been with somebody like this before. This is crazy. Sorry,
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: this never happens. I usually perform really well. So why
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: do you want to get going? So? Uh uh yeah,
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: I guess, I guess. Uh yeah, we can start slow. Mmm.
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: I'm kissing my own lips. Wow, it feels amazing to
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: kiss your own lips. Whoa, head, what are you doing?
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: You're turning around? You want me to rub your neck?
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: I'm not really into that. I'm kind of into whatever's
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: above it. Oh for play, I get it. I'm nothing
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: like feeling your own tongue against your own tongue. Wow,
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: well singing whoa, You're just like I imagine, but so different.
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: I can't wait to be inside you. Okay, let's figure
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: let's figure out how this next work goes. Wow uh
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: oh oh oh.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: This has been artist answering the question. Now, that's why
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: they call it show mis We'll see you next time.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: That was for the night you made me do a
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: thousand fucking what was it numbers?
