- 0:00Speaker 1: Now more of the Mark Simone Show on seven to
- 0:02Speaker 1: ten wo R. Filling in from Mark here again is
- 0:06Speaker 1: Ken Rosato was a more extend to our busy phones.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Roger in Boston, you are on the Marx Simone Show.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Good morning Roger.
- 0:14Speaker 2: HIHI, Ken, you are unbelievable. I'm glad you fill it
- 0:19Speaker 2: in for the maw. I'm gonna let you know. I'm
- 0:23Speaker 2: ump in Beantown, but I'm an old Bronx boy. We
- 0:26Speaker 2: used to go. We used to go up to New
- 0:28Speaker 2: Rockachelle because we didn't have a mall in the Bronx.
- 0:31Speaker 2: When I was a kid. We went to the New
- 0:33Speaker 2: Rockachell mall.
- 0:34Speaker 3: We went up there.
- 0:35Speaker 2: It was great up there. I know you're from New
- 0:37Speaker 2: Rochelle yesday. You probably before we get to the President
- 0:41Speaker 2: and the smoke. Your probably family's originally from the Bronx.
- 0:44Speaker 1: No they believe it or not. We're the only people
- 0:47Speaker 1: in New Rochelle not originally from the Bronx, and all
- 0:51Speaker 1: of our friends were. But yeah, in fact, my other
- 0:54Speaker 1: half's family lived in the Bronx and then you Rochelle.
- 0:57Speaker 1: But my no, my family actually came from Trent and
- 1:00Speaker 1: then they went to Pelham and New Roschelle. That's how
- 1:02Speaker 1: they made it. But yeah, we loved the New Rochelle.
- 1:05Speaker 1: And by the way, it wasn't New rock Shell or
- 1:07Speaker 1: New Rock City back then. It was the New Rochelle Mall.
- 1:10Speaker 1: They knocked it down and then they built what is
- 1:13Speaker 1: now the New rock Shell or the Rock whatever they
- 1:17Speaker 1: call it. I don't live there anymore, so I don't
- 1:19Speaker 1: I don't even recall, but yeah, it's a great town.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Good, are you still there? We think we put you
- 1:26Speaker 1: on there.
- 1:26Speaker 2: You go ahead, Roger, Yeah, I'm still Yeah. Yeah, it's
- 1:30Speaker 2: funny you should say that. When I was a little
- 1:32Speaker 2: kid and my mother was driving us all the kids
- 1:34Speaker 2: up to the ball, I used to say when I
- 1:36Speaker 2: saw the sign, I used to call it New Rocky Shell.
- 1:39Speaker 2: That's how I pronounced it before. Like you said, it
- 1:41Speaker 2: was obviously newis shall sure, And that's rare for you
- 1:44Speaker 2: have to be from the Bronx and people that. We
- 1:46Speaker 2: also know that Yankas were Bronx people too. It was
- 1:49Speaker 2: a big thing to move to New Rochelle a Yanka's
- 1:52Speaker 2: when I was.
- 1:52Speaker 3: A little kid.
- 1:53Speaker 2: But anyway, I'd just like to say with the smoke
- 1:56Speaker 2: we having it up in bed down so I called
- 1:59Speaker 2: so many rayel shows three years ago. It's happened three
- 2:01Speaker 2: years ago. They got to build bigger firebreaks in Canada
- 2:05Speaker 2: to prevent this thing from spreading. If you have giant firebreaks,
- 2:10Speaker 2: plus other things you could do too, you could prevent this.
- 2:13Speaker 2: This is sometimes Now I'm thinking they don't even care. No,
- 2:17Speaker 2: they don't.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Does it costs money? If Roger it costs money, and
- 2:20Speaker 1: they don't want to do it. They don't want to
- 2:21Speaker 1: do it. They just like to sit back and blame
- 2:24Speaker 1: evil the United States because it's our fault with global warming,
- 2:28Speaker 1: it's always our fault, instead of spending the money and
- 2:31Speaker 1: taking care of it. So listen, prior to twenty twenty three,
- 2:33Speaker 1: they uhould do fire breaks, they would clean up their forests,
- 2:35Speaker 1: they would do controlled burns. And do you recall in
- 2:38Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, twenty twenty two having these wildfires from Canada. No,
- 2:42Speaker 1: didn't happen, right.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Of course, of course not, because they they're doing it sometimes.
- 2:48Speaker 2: And also it's possible we don't know people could be
- 2:52Speaker 2: starting these fires and they could be terrorist. They're never
- 2:55Speaker 2: gonna find them. Just like the down in Florida where
- 2:58Speaker 2: you walk, they got pythons and the thing in the Everglades.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I would be surprised at the Russians and Chinese. They're
- 3:05Speaker 2: doing that to destroy our echo ecosism, and they dropped
- 3:08Speaker 2: like a hundred babies, you know, smaller ones. But getting
- 3:11Speaker 2: to the president.
- 3:12Speaker 3: That's it.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I just touch people. Can everybody enjoy yourself? It is over.
- 3:19Speaker 2: The United States has been invaded by one hundred million.
- 3:22Speaker 2: A third world is and we now have a third
- 3:25Speaker 2: world country. I hear these people saying, oh, what happened,
- 3:28Speaker 2: What happened? The problem is you didn't listen to Patrick Buchanan.
- 3:33Speaker 2: That's what happened.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Well, listen, we love people coming into the United States legally.
- 3:38Speaker 1: We just don't appreciate sneaking in the back door and
- 3:41Speaker 1: doing it the way it was done. Thank you so much, Roger.
- 3:44Speaker 1: We appreciate the phone call. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Good morning, Vincent, good.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Morning, Good morning Rich. I heard one of Mondami's cronies
- 3:53Speaker 3: that he installed in one of the city agencies. This
- 3:57Speaker 3: is the latest boneheaded idea with they want to do
- 4:00Speaker 3: now is they want to make it illegal for a
- 4:05Speaker 3: landlord and real it is to ask for income verification
- 4:10Speaker 3: and if you want to do a background check on
- 4:13Speaker 3: somebody who wants to rent your apartment, you call up
- 4:17Speaker 3: whatever the landlord or the real estate agency has to
- 4:22Speaker 3: pay for it. Solely, you can't then put that course
- 4:25Speaker 3: onto the prospective tenant. What this is going to do,
- 4:30Speaker 3: rich And this is the agn and this is the intent.
- 4:34Speaker 3: If you get somebody in there that says, yeah, I
- 4:37Speaker 3: make X, Y and Z, and I could easily afford
- 4:40Speaker 3: that apartment, they might have the money for the first month, friend,
- 4:44Speaker 3: and for the down payment. Then they'll stiff the landlord
- 4:49Speaker 3: or whomever on the rent. And the way these courts
- 4:53Speaker 3: are rigged, their landlord tenant courts in New York City
- 4:56Speaker 3: now as it is, it'll take you two years to
- 4:59Speaker 3: get your case finally heard. And in all likelihood that
- 5:04Speaker 3: I happened to my father, the pendant will flip the
- 5:07Speaker 3: bird to you and the judgment right, and you still
- 5:10Speaker 3: won't get any money.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And you still got to keep paying the mortgage on
- 5:13Speaker 1: that building. The bankers are going to say, oh, you're
- 5:16Speaker 1: not getting the rent, don't worry about it. You got
- 5:18Speaker 1: to pay the voyage.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Ken Recently, there was an article in the Post where
- 5:24Speaker 3: a landlord had one of these dead beats in his
- 5:26Speaker 3: apartment and two the years he spent his daughter's college
- 5:31Speaker 3: fund of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars and the
- 5:35Speaker 3: tenant is still freeloaded in his apartment. This is up
- 5:39Speaker 3: from box load. This is what they intend to do.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I'm with you, how Vince Adam to catch you off
- 5:45Speaker 1: for Yeah, it's news time, but you're one hundred percent right.
- 5:48Speaker 1: But the way they love to set it up. They
- 5:50Speaker 1: love to set it up because oh, ideally they want
- 5:53Speaker 1: the city to take over those properties and have this
- 5:56Speaker 1: one big socialist utopia with the city running everything. Vincent
- 5:59Speaker 1: and Brooklyn, I love you, brother, always love having you.
- 6:02Speaker 1: On seven ten W we have some breaking news I
- 6:04Speaker 1: want to tell you about right now. Word of a
- 6:07Speaker 1: seven point three earthquake seven point three magnitude earthquake that
- 6:11Speaker 1: just struck southern Mexico in the last few minutes. As
- 6:15Speaker 1: we get more information, we will of course bring it
- 6:17Speaker 1: to you
