- 0:01Technology sucks.
- 0:03We're gonna talk about that next.
- 0:05Let's go.
- 0:18I love the chase and the hunt,
- 0:19and I set the pace when I'm running.
- 0:20I always take what I want,
- 0:22and I always give it one hundred.
- 0:23Don't need a bank, no I'm funded.
- 0:25Play the game like it's nothing.
- 0:26I'm always thankful for something.
- 0:28Don't take for granted, stay humble.
- 0:29Now wake up!
- 0:31It's time to look at the enemy.
- 0:33Look in the mirror if he is no
- 0:35friend to me.
- 0:37What is going on everybody?
- 0:39After multiple attempts on internet,
- 0:42we are live finally.
- 0:44Holy shit, dude.
- 0:50It hasn't been this bad in quite some
- 0:53time.
- 0:53I think from the day I joined in
- 0:55at the pool,
- 0:56it was like me and Dex and one
- 0:59other Masters guy.
- 1:00Yeah, yeah, Ryan Redkey.
- 1:04Yeah, with Ryan.
- 1:05Yeah, that was good stuff right there.
- 1:08Yeah,
- 1:08when your phone was overheating at the
- 1:10pool.
- 1:10He kept doing it over and over again.
- 1:13Yeah, Dex is frying pork chops.
- 1:15Yeah.
- 1:15Fantastic.
- 1:19Oh man.
- 1:20It's crazy.
- 1:21Cause now for some reason,
- 1:22every time I go downstairs,
- 1:24I lose the internet on the laptop and
- 1:26it will not connect to anything.
- 1:28And I don't know if it's something in
- 1:29the road caster, maybe connecting to that.
- 1:33I mean,
- 1:33cause I'm literally just the floor is the
- 1:36only thing between me and the,
- 1:37and the router.
- 1:38Yeah.
- 1:40Which makes no sense whatsoever.
- 1:40That shouldn't be a thing.
- 1:43It should not be.
- 1:46So, uh,
- 1:48We had a great talk yesterday.
- 1:49We're going to follow up on that a
- 1:51little bit now that I can actually see
- 1:53that.
- 1:55So I have internet.
- 1:59My laptop just doesn't want to connect to
- 2:01it when I'm down in the studio.
- 2:03All of a sudden, after six years,
- 2:08the last two days,
- 2:09it just will not hook up.
- 2:13So we're going to talk,
- 2:16we're going to follow up on that
- 2:17conversation a little bit,
- 2:17but some news hit yesterday and I had
- 2:20to go back in the office today for
- 2:22the first time in like maybe three years.
- 2:27I know it's been quite some time since
- 2:29you and I have had that conversation a
- 2:31bunch.
- 2:31Well, like,
- 2:32I haven't worked in the office in five.
- 2:35Right.
- 2:36Like, since COVID hit,
- 2:37I have not been back.
- 2:39Now,
- 2:39I had to go in for a meeting
- 2:40like three years ago, two years, three,
- 2:43two, I don't know.
- 2:44And haven't been back since.
- 2:47But it's funny because I had to go
- 2:49take my laptop from my work laptop in
- 2:52and have it changed out for a newer
- 2:53one.
- 2:54Because it's the same one I had when
- 2:56I left in two to twenty twenty.
- 2:58Oh, yeah.
- 3:02And I walk in and.
- 3:07And it's my buddy that I used to
- 3:09go to for all my IT needs,
- 3:11like that guy, you know,
- 3:13that you just became buddies with because
- 3:15under the table, he can fix your shit.
- 3:17Right.
- 3:19And now he's the head of IT.
- 3:20I mean, somebody's got to be.
- 3:24And so we got to hang out,
- 3:27talk a little bit today,
- 3:28which was really cool because I don't get
- 3:30that interaction anymore.
- 3:33Well, good.
- 3:34But that was fun.
- 3:36Now I'm back here for the rest of
- 3:37the day.
- 3:39Meredith, do I still have a desk there?
- 3:42I do not.
- 3:44They actually sold off all their
- 3:46buildings.
- 3:47And there's barely any spots left.
- 3:53And that's one of the reasons why I
- 3:55can't go back.
- 3:56There's no place to put us.
- 3:59Oh, darn.
- 4:02Oh, no, I can't go back.
- 4:03Oh, God, no, shucks.
- 4:08They keep trying to send my wife back.
- 4:13Someone please fill me in on the Dallin
- 4:14Colton thing.
- 4:15I'm lost.
- 4:17I didn't know there was a Dallin Colton
- 4:18thing.
- 4:18I know there's a Colton someone thing.
- 4:21In the comments, Dallin was like,
- 4:24just say my name, bro.
- 4:26But it's hard to tell if he's just
- 4:27being stupid,
- 4:29like messing around with him or not.
- 4:32Gotcha.
- 4:32Because Dallin said he would say his name,
- 4:37but he wanted to give the person an
- 4:39opportunity to say their piece before the
- 4:43call out.
- 4:44Correct.
- 4:46And I know Colton called somebody out.
- 4:51I find it hard to believe that it
- 4:53was Dallin who would refuse to follow him
- 4:56back.
- 4:57It might have been Dallin just,
- 5:00but who knows?
- 5:02There's no way.
- 5:03I just don't.
- 5:03He's too good of a kid, man.
- 5:06I just don't see that happening.
- 5:08Yeah.
- 5:10It's not his style.
- 5:11Yeah.
- 5:13Yeah.
- 5:15I found it weird that The Boys Interrupted
- 5:17went live this week without Dallin and
- 5:19didn't really say why.
- 5:22Because it came out like immediately after
- 5:25that,
- 5:26that he was that he had the rhabdo
- 5:30and couldn't go back to Rogue.
- 5:32Yeah.
- 5:35Vicky says I assumed it was Hopper.
- 5:38John George Hopper.
- 5:39That's who I assumed it was.
- 5:41They have like a little running tiff.
- 5:47But who knows?
- 5:48You know what?
- 5:49We've talked about this before.
- 5:50Good.
- 5:50Yeah, I don't mind it.
- 5:54Good.
- 5:55We have something to talk about,
- 5:56number one.
- 5:57Number two,
- 5:58everybody should not be friends with
- 5:59everybody.
- 6:01That's unrealistic.
- 6:03For everybody just to be, oh,
- 6:04when the behind the scenes thing that,
- 6:08what's his face did,
- 6:09when he's walking around asking everybody
- 6:10if they had a nemesis.
- 6:12And everybody, to a person, except Colton,
- 6:15was like, oh, no, not really.
- 6:17I'm just here, you know,
- 6:18I'm just here competing and blah, blah,
- 6:20blah.
- 6:21Which is nonsense.
- 6:23I'm going to tell you right now,
- 6:26it's bullshit because I get in the back
- 6:29when I'm at a competition.
- 6:30I know there's people there that I do
- 6:31not like and I want to crush.
- 6:35Period.
- 6:35You're not going to like everybody.
- 6:37That's just life.
- 6:39We talked about it yesterday.
- 6:41We all have rivals, right?
- 6:45I've said Todd was my rival when I
- 6:47first went into the CrossFit gym,
- 6:50and I wanted to beat him every single
- 6:52day.
- 6:52And I would strategize on how to hit
- 6:54the workout to be able to take him
- 6:58on.
- 6:59And it made me better,
- 7:00and it made me more successful,
- 7:03and all that.
- 7:05But before we get into the chip and
- 7:07all those things that we talked about
- 7:08yesterday –
- 7:10I want to talk about that San Jose
- 7:12was announced as the next location to the
- 7:16twenty twenty six CrossFit Games.
- 7:19So, twentieth anniversary.
- 7:21We're going back to Cali.
- 7:23Going back to Cali.
- 7:28I watched Amanda Harry's thing this
- 7:29morning.
- 7:30I actually texted her yesterday and told
- 7:33her that she is she's responsible now
- 7:35because she lives there to set up the
- 7:38trivia night for the media team.
- 7:43Hey, congratulations.
- 7:44I just gave you a job.
- 7:48But she actually lives in Oakland and she
- 7:51told me she's probably going to have to
- 7:52get a hotel just because of traffic.
- 7:56Oh, well, yeah, I could see that.
- 7:57Oakland up to San Jose,
- 7:59it's typically about forty five minutes,
- 8:01no traffic.
- 8:01But with traffic,
- 8:03she's going to have to be she's forced
- 8:05to kind of get a hotel.
- 8:07Well, I mean,
- 8:08I don't know how big San Jose is,
- 8:09but I know like Oakland in San Francisco
- 8:11is
- 8:12across the bay from each other two big
- 8:14really big places and i snapped it out
- 8:18so you have oakland and san francisco and
- 8:20then right below that is uh san jose
- 8:24so it's they're all on the bay in
- 8:27like a triangle got it got it so
- 8:30yeah that makes sense that's like what
- 8:31we're talking about with tristan the other
- 8:32day where if you're in houston you're
- 8:34still an hour from houston
- 8:36Like you can drive in a straight line
- 8:39and not be done.
- 8:40So, yeah,
- 8:41I could see that having to stay,
- 8:44not be able to stay at your house,
- 8:45even though the venue is forty five
- 8:47minutes from.
- 8:48I can see that.
- 8:50I could absolutely see that.
- 8:56I don't think it's a like or not
- 8:57like I think mentally when you're in the
- 8:59game, you just need a rabbit.
- 9:01It's just something to chase or try to
- 9:03run away from.
- 9:05I think with Colton, it's more than that.
- 9:07I think it's,
- 9:08it's that chip that we've talked about the
- 9:09last couple of days.
- 9:11Um, so I think,
- 9:17I think he has the chip on his
- 9:18shoulder and he wants to prove stuff.
- 9:20Um, so anyway.
- 9:22A hundred percent.
- 9:23Remember on the, uh,
- 9:24one of the old documentaries when they
- 9:26were talking about, uh, uh, uh,
- 9:30bridges talking about, uh,
- 9:33And they said he doesn't like being told
- 9:35he's the shortest and the oldest in the
- 9:38field.
- 9:39Like,
- 9:39I imagine after so many times hearing
- 9:41that, oh, yeah,
- 9:41Colton's five foot three or however tall
- 9:44he is.
- 9:44Like,
- 9:44that shit will wear on you after a
- 9:46while.
- 9:47And you're just like, you know what?
- 9:49F y'all.
- 9:49Yeah, I am.
- 9:50And watch.
- 9:51You know,
- 9:52that video he posted of him doing the
- 9:54thirty inch box clears and just casually
- 9:57jumping over the box,
- 9:58taking a couple steps,
- 9:59jumping over the box,
- 10:00just turn around and going like.
- 10:03Well,
- 10:03and I've said on this show a couple
- 10:05times that I don't think he can win
- 10:08the games.
- 10:08I think that the extra effort he has
- 10:16to put in to overcome his obstacles in
- 10:19a four- or three-day weekend is really,
- 10:23really hard and will make it hard for
- 10:25him to win the games.
- 10:28And other people can think I'm wrong,
- 10:30and that's fine.
- 10:32And I'm sure Colton thinks I'm wrong.
- 10:35But I still love the dude.
- 10:36Like, I want him to win the games.
- 10:41I can want him to do it and
- 10:43not think he can at the same time.
- 10:47It's just – I don't want to say
- 10:49being realistic because I think he can.
- 10:54Just because I know, like –
- 10:56For me,
- 10:57and I feel like for Colton as well,
- 10:59the more events there are,
- 11:00the better there is because it minimizes
- 11:03the things that you're really not that
- 11:04good at or can't be that good at
- 11:06because of your body type.
- 11:08I got short legs, long torso, short arms.
- 11:12I'm a horrible rower.
- 11:13It doesn't matter how much I work on
- 11:15it.
- 11:15I have to put out more effort than
- 11:18other people do when I row, period,
- 11:20to be able to keep up.
- 11:21Just a fact of life.
- 11:22It doesn't matter how strong I am.
- 11:24My pull is not going to be as
- 11:26long as somebody else's is.
- 11:28So I need more events to be able
- 11:30to minimize damage on that one,
- 11:32to be able to maximize my points on
- 11:33the other one.
- 11:34And I think Colton's a lot the same
- 11:36way.
- 11:37I think your advantage is, though,
- 11:39that in the Masters division,
- 11:42at the games,
- 11:43they don't get so over the top with
- 11:46the programming.
- 11:47Oh, yeah, absolutely.
- 11:49I'm never going to have to do a
- 11:51pit bull.
- 11:53Right.
- 11:54Like, that's not,
- 11:54that's not going to be a thing.
- 11:55I'm never going to have to do some
- 11:56of the crazy stuff that they've done.
- 11:58I would like to,
- 11:59I would look the obstacle course from what
- 12:03was it?
- 12:03Oh, of course.
- 12:03Twenty-nineteen with rescue Randy.
- 12:06Seventeen, eighteen.
- 12:08Something like that.
- 12:09Whichever one it was, I would love that.
- 12:11That looked fun as hell.
- 12:13Right.
- 12:14And that's a fitness test.
- 12:15Like we're going to run,
- 12:16we're going to go,
- 12:16we're obviously going to move stuff from
- 12:18here to there, blah, blah, blah, whatever.
- 12:21I would absolutely kill for stuff like
- 12:22that.
- 12:23But I also know that there's stuff that
- 12:25is in my training weekly,
- 12:27biweekly or whatever that I just skip over
- 12:30because in my division,
- 12:32I'm not going to need to know how
- 12:33to do that so I can spend more
- 12:34time working on the stuff that matters.
- 12:40Yeah.
- 12:43So Larry Young, four ninety nine.
- 12:45Thank you so much for that, Larry.
- 12:47All right, boys,
- 12:48what do we think quarter workouts will
- 12:50look like?
- 12:52I know Jay Burch is like in it
- 12:53a little early,
- 12:55but I think Larry's looking like how much
- 12:57time should he put into training this?
- 13:01Do do I actually do some fitness or
- 13:04just watch?
- 13:05It's not early if you're in my condition
- 13:08and need some time.
- 13:10Dude,
- 13:10he can talk about his condition all he
- 13:12wants.
- 13:12We follow each other on Instagram,
- 13:14and I've seen some of the stuff that
- 13:15he does, dude.
- 13:17Some of it's not pretty.
- 13:19Like his muscle-ups are baffling me every
- 13:21single time because they're basically like
- 13:23just strict bar muscle-ups.
- 13:25It's insane to watch.
- 13:27But he gets through them and then goes
- 13:28on to the next thing.
- 13:29So I don't want to hear about that.
- 13:31His pure raw strength is unreal.
- 13:34It's bananas, dude.
- 13:35It is absolutely bananas.
- 13:39And I understand how it got passed down
- 13:41to his son.
- 13:42Like that's genetics all the way through.
- 13:44You wonder why John Young is as strong
- 13:46as he is.
- 13:47Go follow Larry.
- 13:47Yeah.
- 13:50What I would say Larry needs to work
- 13:51on is mobility.
- 13:52A little bit.
- 13:55Work on mobility.
- 13:57And then I think the fitness will come
- 13:59in a little bit more.
- 14:02He is fit from what I can see.
- 14:04I mean,
- 14:04I've never had a chance to train a
- 14:06man.
- 14:06I'd love to.
- 14:08But his just raw strength and just the
- 14:11stuff that he does,
- 14:12every time I see some stuff,
- 14:14I shake my head and I laugh.
- 14:15It's fun to watch.
- 14:16It really is.
- 14:18Yeah.
- 14:19He is a unicorn in the strength department
- 14:21for sure.
- 14:22A hundred percent.
- 14:23A hundred percent.
- 14:28If Bob and Joe keep programming,
- 14:30just do machines and lift.
- 14:31Don't worry about moving well and having
- 14:33skills.
- 14:35So I don't know.
- 14:36Just so you know, John,
- 14:38John is a salty individual when it comes
- 14:41to the programming of the Masters games.
- 14:45I think him and Jamie are we're twins
- 14:48separated at birth.
- 14:49Yeah, I can believe that.
- 14:52I can believe that every time like
- 14:54something comes up,
- 14:54I'll text Jamie and I'll be like,
- 14:56what do you think about this?
- 14:57Oh, it sucks.
- 14:58And it doesn't matter.
- 14:59Right.
- 15:00doesn't matter what it is.
- 15:01Like, it could be something like, I mean,
- 15:03I'd probably be good at it.
- 15:04But I mean, it's just stupid.
- 15:05I'm like,
- 15:07this is why me and you were friends
- 15:08right here.
- 15:08PJ Slauson, Jaclyn, see you guys there.
- 15:13Corey better make it happen.
- 15:15And she's talking about the games.
- 15:17Yeah.
- 15:18I booked my hotel room yesterday.
- 15:22I got a really good deal.
- 15:24I don't know if the hotels were aware
- 15:26that this was announced because I thought
- 15:29I was going to have to pay a
- 15:30premium, and I got a really good deal.
- 15:32Good deal.
- 15:33Glad to hear it.
- 15:35So I think I snuck in and got
- 15:39a hotel room under the wire.
- 15:43So I'm at the airport.
- 15:44Amanda tells me it's three miles,
- 15:47three miles from the airport to the –
- 15:50Somebody was saying that during the –
- 15:53cases broadcast yesterday,
- 15:54like in the comments, they were saying,
- 15:55like, if you fly into San Jose, like,
- 15:59it's right there.
- 16:00Yeah, like, it's like, you basically,
- 16:02you can almost walk from there to the
- 16:04to the Larry,
- 16:07mine was cheaper than Albany,
- 16:08my to buy probably.
- 16:12Five hundred bucks.
- 16:13I probably saved.
- 16:14Yeah.
- 16:15Wow.
- 16:16That's substantial.
- 16:19The lens media only half mile away.
- 16:22that's great that's i hate saying shit
- 16:25like that's crazy because it always sounds
- 16:27like somebody's not actually paying
- 16:28attention but that actually is pretty it's
- 16:30that close to the year uh and he
- 16:33may be working for me at the games
- 16:34next year so just kind of see how
- 16:36big of a team they let me have
- 16:40when do they announce that kind of stuff
- 16:41like when you can apply for your video
- 16:43pass and shit probably not so after the
- 16:44first year it always seems way too late
- 16:47to me but
- 16:49Um, I'm looking at Airbnbs right now.
- 16:51Prices are really good.
- 16:53Uh,
- 16:54scud said you can walk there from the
- 16:56airport.
- 16:57Well, if you're scuds, you can, I mean,
- 16:59Alison is pretty damn fit.
- 17:04So, but excited about that.
- 17:08Excited about that.
- 17:09Um,
- 17:10it sounds like it's a really nice place.
- 17:12Um, and the prices are great.
- 17:14And, um,
- 17:17So I'm excited because I do think,
- 17:20I do think there's the opportunity to go
- 17:21outside a little bit.
- 17:22Maybe somebody was saying there's a, uh,
- 17:26some sort of park that's like right next
- 17:28door.
- 17:29Uh,
- 17:31so I was saying yesterday that like the
- 17:33ranch is.
- 17:34So you can almost expect to see like
- 17:40another trail run or something like that.
- 17:42Maybe cause they're saying, you know,
- 17:43Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
- 17:45But check-in's probably going to be on a
- 17:47Monday.
- 17:47Most athletes are going to be there all
- 17:48week anyway.
- 17:49So, oh, by the way,
- 17:51we're going to get everybody to the ranch
- 17:52on Thursday and do two events,
- 17:55three events, whatever the case may be.
- 17:59You know,
- 17:59Dave likes to do shit like that.
- 18:01But there it is,
- 18:02a twenty-three minute drive from the arena
- 18:04to the ranch.
- 18:07My internet's getting sketchy again.
- 18:10Of course it is.
- 18:13This is ridiculous, man.
- 18:16all right um you can take a the
- 18:20cal train from sfo airport to san jose
- 18:23if you're coming from farther away nice so
- 18:28that gives two airport options yeah yeah
- 18:35the ranch isn't far when we went to
- 18:37fitness freedom at the ranch i was shocked
- 18:39how close yeah so like i said that
- 18:43wouldn't
- 18:44And not just me, George,
- 18:46to the surprise of absolutely no one that
- 18:48we're going to have something over there.
- 18:51Well,
- 18:51Dave announced on that sport of fitness
- 18:54podcast that there's a twist coming either
- 18:57next week or the week after they're going
- 18:58to make the announcement.
- 19:00I'm assuming it's going to be,
- 19:04I'm assuming it's going to be at the
- 19:05ranch.
- 19:06Yeah.
- 19:07I think everybody is.
- 19:09That's what it was like.
- 19:10Just like so many people were calling it
- 19:12to be in San Jose and,
- 19:14Right.
- 19:15Everybody was like, Oh yeah,
- 19:16it's probably going to be insane.
- 19:17Cause they saw it.
- 19:18They had pictures of Dave walking around
- 19:20the stadium and whatnot.
- 19:21Like he was checking it out.
- 19:23Um,
- 19:23and then to the surprise of absolutely no
- 19:26one.
- 19:26Hey, yeah.
- 19:27By the way, it's in San Jose.
- 19:28Can we talk about how awesome Tia Claire
- 19:30to me is three o'clock in the morning.
- 19:35Yeah.
- 19:36She gets up, does her fate.
- 19:40Like,
- 19:40Because that's not,
- 19:41I just woke up two seconds ago phase,
- 19:43right?
- 19:43Does her stuff, gets up,
- 19:45and goes on there for five minutes just
- 19:47to be able to announce, hey,
- 19:50the games are going to be in San
- 19:51Jose.
- 19:53And I said it yesterday,
- 19:54and further cementing her spot as the
- 20:00greatest of all time,
- 20:02because who's doing that?
- 20:05Who is waking up?
- 20:07On the other side of the world at
- 20:08three o'clock in the morning because they
- 20:10asked you to for no other reason than
- 20:11the fact that, hey,
- 20:12would you mind coming and do this?
- 20:14Well, yeah,
- 20:14but I'm going to be at my place
- 20:15in Australia.
- 20:17Oh, well, you don't have to.
- 20:18No, it's fine.
- 20:19I'll just get up at three in the
- 20:19morning.
- 20:20I thought standing.
- 20:23Well, true.
- 20:24Well, yeah.
- 20:27Well, David Reed,
- 20:29wish it had been in Columbus.
- 20:33I would have, too.
- 20:35But that's very selfish of me.
- 20:38It is the twentieth anniversary,
- 20:41and it probably should go home.
- 20:43Yeah.
- 20:45I mean,
- 20:46we can all wish in one hand and
- 20:48poop in the other one and see which
- 20:49one fills up first.
- 20:50I'm sure you know how that's going to
- 20:52happen.
- 20:55She really is leading the community right
- 20:56now, and I'm super impressed.
- 21:01I just have a hard time with her
- 21:02content.
- 21:04all the clickbait they use,
- 21:05and then you watch fifteen minutes and
- 21:08nothing is said.
- 21:11Yeah, not a fan of that,
- 21:12but she is one hundred percent leading
- 21:15from the front.
- 21:19No announcement yet for age groups.
- 21:20Yeah,
- 21:22I think they're full press on the elites
- 21:25getting all that stuff out.
- 21:27So, Andrew,
- 21:29literally yesterday I was like this,
- 21:31like the entire time,
- 21:32hoping that Dave would say something about
- 21:34it, something about, I mean,
- 21:36we're going to have three semifinals for
- 21:38age group before we do the online last
- 21:41chance qualifier,
- 21:42whatever you want to call it,
- 21:43something like that.
- 21:44But in my heart of hearts,
- 21:46they weren't going to say a shit about
- 21:47us yesterday.
- 21:52That's just a fact.
- 21:53Not on the debut show.
- 21:54Nobody watches Masters but the Clydesdale.
- 21:57It was said in the chat yesterday.
- 21:59It'd be the only one to show up.
- 22:04Just like they're not going to talk about
- 22:06the Moscow Kettlebell League on the show
- 22:08either.
- 22:08Same thing.
- 22:12When we see it,
- 22:13Brian will be the only one to sit
- 22:14that one.
- 22:14In the
- 22:17The ultimate Frisbee league.
- 22:18Next week.
- 22:22I would expect something about it next
- 22:26week.
- 22:26You're about to get clipped again, Scott.
- 22:28Fifteen minutes and says nothing.
- 22:33I mean...
- 22:34I got to title a podcast this week.
- 22:38That's a fact.
- 22:40Which was... Dude, I laughed so much.
- 22:43I love... They could do...
- 22:45A whole series on just telling like old
- 22:48stories like that.
- 22:50Talk about Rich and them.
- 22:52Like that show was hilarious.
- 22:54Just all this different stuff they were
- 22:56talking about and like just how.
- 22:58Thrown together,
- 22:59all of that stuff was like.
- 23:03What it was sectionals back then,
- 23:05just literally just like, oh,
- 23:07we're out here in the grass doing
- 23:08thrusters every time or deadless every
- 23:10time you drop the barbell.
- 23:11By the time you finish,
- 23:12you're picking it up off your toes to
- 23:14get it off.
- 23:18I love Petty Rich.
- 23:23And, you know,
- 23:23I did say that they click baited me
- 23:26into a podcast that said nothing,
- 23:27absolutely nothing.
- 23:29It's a waste of time.
- 23:30And then he calls his show a waste
- 23:32of time.
- 23:33Like that is.
- 23:34You know what though?
- 23:35Petty Rich at his best.
- 23:37It shows he's paying attention.
- 23:39Yeah.
- 23:39Yeah.
- 23:43CJ says age group announcements is next
- 23:45week.
- 23:46Stay tuned to the WOD Prep Podcast.
- 23:49Hey, brother.
- 23:50I watch y'all every week.
- 23:53I was looking for y'all this morning on
- 23:55my way back from the pool,
- 23:56and y'all were not live today,
- 23:57so I imagine it's going on tomorrow.
- 24:00What's frustrating for me about the WOD
- 24:02Prep Podcast?
- 24:03Oh, here we go.
- 24:04Pay attention, CJ.
- 24:07Is I can't watch it live.
- 24:10It's on at eight a.m.
- 24:12where I'm at.
- 24:14When I get to work,
- 24:15that's when all the morning meetings are.
- 24:17And I get stuck in meetings and cannot
- 24:19watch it live.
- 24:21I got caught up on the one from
- 24:22earlier this week.
- 24:24Yesterday, I believe.
- 24:27Yeah,
- 24:28like I think after either before we did
- 24:30this or after the other one.
- 24:33No, it had to be before because.
- 24:35We went from us to chase to seven
- 24:41and then, uh, Pedro, like there was,
- 24:47there was content all day yesterday.
- 24:48It's good stuff.
- 24:49Yeah.
- 24:50Um, uh,
- 24:52CJ will be live all weekend at affiliate
- 24:54con, uh, interviewing all,
- 24:57a lot of the speakers.
- 24:59Sweet.
- 25:01I do want to like, gosh.
- 25:03Jason Ackerman, I used to despise.
- 25:09When I first got into CrossFit and kind
- 25:12of diving into the podcast scene,
- 25:14best hour of their day,
- 25:15I thought he was like so condescending.
- 25:20Then I met him live and I love
- 25:24the dude.
- 25:27I don't know why that didn't come across
- 25:29to me in the podcast,
- 25:31but when I met him live,
- 25:32we sat down and talked.
- 25:38We talked a lot the day I met
- 25:40him.
- 25:41And then I had him on the show,
- 25:44and he was a great guest.
- 25:46It was awesome,
- 25:47but I really didn't like him for a
- 25:50long time.
- 25:53He leans into it.
- 25:56As soon as he came on on Siobhan's
- 25:58show the other day with those yellow,
- 26:01orange, whatever glasses,
- 26:02everybody was lighting him up in the
- 26:04comments.
- 26:04He was just like, yep,
- 26:05I know they're stupid.
- 26:06I'm wearing them anyway.
- 26:08He was perfectly fine with it.
- 26:10He's really, really good at that.
- 26:11I can understand because if you just
- 26:13listen to him speak not knowing,
- 26:15he's very, very knowledgeable.
- 26:17He obviously knows what he's talking
- 26:18about,
- 26:19but it's just his tone half the time.
- 26:20He sounds like he's talking down to
- 26:22everybody.
- 26:24Turns out,
- 26:25Not really.
- 26:26He's kind of an asshole.
- 26:28That's fine.
- 26:30But he is very, very,
- 26:32he knows what he's talking about,
- 26:33and he's actually very,
- 26:33what's the one looking for?
- 26:35Insightful.
- 26:37Insightful.
- 26:37Self-deprecating, all that stuff.
- 26:39Self-deprecating, that's the word.
- 26:40Yeah,
- 26:41he bangs on himself as much as he
- 26:43bangs on anybody else.
- 26:45Absolutely.
- 26:48CJ says most people feel that way.
- 26:58Yeah.
- 26:58Oh, well, speaking of media reaction.
- 27:01I don't I don't want to take up
- 27:02a lot of time on this because it
- 27:04it is really taken up the whole week
- 27:06but like on every show like dense and
- 27:10savan and everybody saying that we were
- 27:12critical of a crash and I am baffled
- 27:17where they got that were critical of
- 27:18crash.
- 27:20The only thing we said is that we
- 27:23thought that Caroline Klutz deserved more
- 27:26media attention for what she accomplished.
- 27:29That was it.
- 27:31It had nothing to do with the programming.
- 27:33It had nothing to do with anything else.
- 27:38And.
- 27:39Yeah.
- 27:43And it's just frustrating that it has
- 27:47happened.
- 27:47However, our numbers are way up this week.
- 27:50So, like, I don't know, like,
- 27:52do I embrace it and just say, okay,
- 27:54criticize away, whatever.
- 27:55We'll just take it with a lump.
- 27:58But one comment got me,
- 28:00and it was we posted the reel talking
- 28:02about Caroline.
- 28:04And Bryson wrote,
- 28:06don't tell me what to care about.
- 28:11And I'm thinking,
- 28:11isn't that what podcasts are?
- 28:12That's what media is.
- 28:17When he does Shut Up and Scribble,
- 28:19isn't he telling me that I should care
- 28:21about squat depth and balanced
- 28:23programming?
- 28:28Whatever the topics are,
- 28:30that's what you're telling me you want me
- 28:32to care about as a podcaster.
- 28:33That's fantastic.
- 28:39So...
- 28:39I don't want to read tone into it
- 28:42because I don't know what Tony said it
- 28:46with.
- 28:47And so I don't know what it truly
- 28:49meant.
- 28:51When I read it, I was like,
- 28:53but isn't that what we all do?
- 28:56We all say what you should care about
- 28:58today by having a list of topics.
- 29:03Absolutely.
- 29:04And last time,
- 29:07horses is dead it hasn't been beat uh
- 29:10and beat all the hell and back it's
- 29:14an opinion and it's a honestly for what
- 29:18she did miss klutz did it's a valid
- 29:20opinion right and that's it everything
- 29:23else y'all said i watched the whole damn
- 29:25show was nothing but this is a was
- 29:28a fantastic broadcast uh bill and freaking
- 29:33john were awesome the camera shots were
- 29:35fantastic like
- 29:36And then, God forbid, oh, by the way,
- 29:38y'all, I mean,
- 29:39I can't believe they didn't.
- 29:41I, you, Carolyn, and Jamie said, I,
- 29:47each individually,
- 29:48can't believe they didn't mention Carolyn
- 29:51because of what she was doing.
- 29:53That's it.
- 29:54And I truly understand why they don't
- 29:56broadcast it.
- 29:57Like,
- 29:57I'm cool with it not being broadcasted.
- 30:00I just thought it was a storyline.
- 30:02That's all.
- 30:03Yeah.
- 30:05listen i've i've had like i literally when
- 30:09i'm in an event i have a battery
- 30:10in each pocket and my camera because like
- 30:13i'm just feeding batteries can you imagine
- 30:15how many battery changes they have to do
- 30:18to stream that event i would have loved
- 30:22to have known because i know some of
- 30:26the stuff they were doing like just
- 30:27getting ready their prep stuff and then uh
- 30:32Hiller's last behind the scenes this
- 30:33morning,
- 30:33and they were talking to Sousa about like,
- 30:37just put the whole thing together,
- 30:38like how much it costs and blah, blah,
- 30:40blah, whatever.
- 30:41And that's one of the things I was
- 30:43thinking about is just like having to,
- 30:45first of all, keep batteries charged,
- 30:48swap them out as needed and make sure
- 30:50that the ones that you swapped out get
- 30:51put back on the chargers,
- 30:53keeping everything rolling like that.
- 30:54Like that's a thing in and of itself.
- 30:58And
- 31:00I mean, they did phenomenal, dude.
- 31:01They did phenomenal.
- 31:04Mad props.
- 31:05Mad props.
- 31:06The whole thing was awesome.
- 31:08Yeah, and through that,
- 31:09I thought they were innovative with the
- 31:11picture-in-picture side-by-sides,
- 31:13which has been something I've been
- 31:16screaming to have for years,
- 31:18and they implemented better than anybody
- 31:21ever has.
- 31:22Here's what I was thinking about that.
- 31:23Sousa figured that out.
- 31:26He said it this morning.
- 31:27Right, on the fly.
- 31:28On the fly.
- 31:30Sousa is not a multimedia company with all
- 31:35these cameras and all these cameramen with
- 31:36their headsets where they can listen to
- 31:38people and whatnot.
- 31:40Sousa is a gym owner and the producer
- 31:42of the Salon Show and figured that out.
- 31:44And you mean to tell me that Hamilton
- 31:45Road can't do that?
- 31:48Amen.
- 31:49I have nothing else to add to that.
- 31:51And then the other thing that I loved
- 31:52is, I loved it,
- 31:54and Sivan said this in that video as
- 31:56well,
- 31:58having people sit down for the interviews
- 32:00right after.
- 32:01Like I found at Syndicate,
- 32:03when I had a place for them to
- 32:05sit down,
- 32:06I got a better interview when they got
- 32:08to sit down because they just finished a
- 32:09hell of a workout, right?
- 32:10Yeah.
- 32:11Trying to catch them on the fly on
- 32:13their feet.
- 32:14You're getting them out of breath and a
- 32:16lot of things.
- 32:17By having them come over and sit down
- 32:19and then having an honest conversation,
- 32:22you get a better interview that way.
- 32:24They killed those.
- 32:27The sweaty chair.
- 32:28Gotta love it.
- 32:30Gotta love it.
- 32:31I agree completely.
- 32:33The other action is still going on.
- 32:35If something happens on the floor,
- 32:36you can be like, did y'all see that?
- 32:40Knocked it out the park.
- 32:42Right.
- 32:45So with that,
- 32:46I want to announce that next Wednesday,
- 32:48you're getting bumped to another day.
- 32:51Caroline Klutz will be with me.
- 32:54On Wednesday?
- 32:54On Wednesday.
- 32:56Sweet.
- 32:58So we'll talk about what she did.
- 33:01And we'll talk about if she had a
- 33:04decision, if she did have a decision,
- 33:06whatever it was.
- 33:07Either way, it's her choice,
- 33:09one way or another.
- 33:10Would it have been cool for her to
- 33:11do Indy?
- 33:12Sure,
- 33:13but it would have been one less person
- 33:14in the Massachusetts women division.
- 33:19Ultimately, she competed.
- 33:20She competed her ass off.
- 33:22She won her division.
- 33:24Like, good for her.
- 33:28Yeah.
- 33:30Yeah.
- 33:33So anyway, there's that.
- 33:35Yesterday we talked about the chip on the
- 33:37shoulder.
- 33:38I just wanted to revisit that a little
- 33:39bit.
- 33:41You've had twenty four hours to marinate
- 33:43on the whole thing.
- 33:47We started it with you have a chip
- 33:49on your shoulder.
- 33:49You want to make the CrossFit Games as
- 33:51a master's athlete at the age of fifty.
- 33:54You have a chip on your shoulder.
- 33:55You have receipts in your phone.
- 33:58And that's what motivates you or is one
- 34:01of our motivators.
- 34:02Yeah.
- 34:03That's part of what motivates me.
- 34:04I wouldn't say that's my,
- 34:06my one hundred percent thing,
- 34:07but I want to be the absolute best
- 34:12that I can be with, with,
- 34:13with the skills that, you know,
- 34:15God has given me.
- 34:15So the other stuff is just stuff that's
- 34:20added in, right?
- 34:23Like the, the,
- 34:25the stuff that's already in me.
- 34:28you know, all these memories,
- 34:30emotions and whatnot that are still just
- 34:31deep seated in me that used to be
- 34:34a detriment, right?
- 34:36That used to drive me.
- 34:40And this is something I've been thinking
- 34:41about too,
- 34:41is that it had been very easy for
- 34:42me.
- 34:43And it was in my early, you know,
- 34:47late teens,
- 34:47early twenties to turn that into something
- 34:49negative.
- 34:51And then as I've gotten older and the
- 34:53more,
- 34:54especially since I've started CrossFit and
- 34:55then just learned about mindset and
- 34:58all that kind of stuff, to take it,
- 35:02all this negative energy,
- 35:04all this negative stuff that's in my head,
- 35:06and turn it and use it as fuel.
- 35:11And I understand what Dickey was saying
- 35:15yesterday about what you do when it's not
- 35:18there anymore.
- 35:20And I said it yesterday,
- 35:21and I stand by it today,
- 35:23is that it doesn't go away.
- 35:27your memories and your emotions that are
- 35:30tied to those memories and whatnot,
- 35:31that's a part of you forever, right?
- 35:34It's not something that you can delete.
- 35:37And I wouldn't want it if I could.
- 35:38I wouldn't want them to go away if
- 35:39I could because it's made me who I
- 35:41am today.
- 35:43So the fact that I've, at some point,
- 35:47I don't want to say turned a corner
- 35:49because it's not always positive,
- 35:50but I don't know a better way to
- 35:52put it,
- 35:53turned a corner to the point where I
- 35:54can use it as fuel
- 35:58Like,
- 36:00I don't really want it to go away
- 36:02because I see it in a different light
- 36:04now and I can use it to get
- 36:09me up and get me going and,
- 36:12for lack of a better word,
- 36:13to fuck some people up on the floor.
- 36:18You can't delete it,
- 36:19but you can release it.
- 36:21Release the emotion attached to it,
- 36:23I guess.
- 36:24Yeah, and I think that's...
- 36:29We're saying a version of the same thing,
- 36:32Vicky,
- 36:32because releasing that emotional
- 36:34attachment for me is burning it off.
- 36:40Using it as fuel, burning it off.
- 36:43Larry says,
- 36:44John told me I lost my fire like
- 36:46ten years ago.
- 36:47I'm like, bro, I got old.
- 36:53So I told a story about how
- 36:57CrossFit, in my perception at that moment,
- 37:00got pulled away from me when I needed
- 37:03it most.
- 37:06I went to pull a deadlift.
- 37:10I was probably over training at the time.
- 37:12My back went.
- 37:15had to go in for twelve different
- 37:16procedures from there to whenever.
- 37:19And at the time I was coaching and
- 37:22I was an athlete at the gym and
- 37:25the owner of the gym asked me to
- 37:28step down as a coach and to work
- 37:31on this myself,
- 37:32get myself right and then come back.
- 37:37There's been comments that they asked me
- 37:41to leave.
- 37:43They didn't ask me to leave.
- 37:45They just didn't want me to coach anymore.
- 37:48And because I was in a spiral at
- 37:51the moment,
- 37:53because I didn't understand what Vicky was
- 37:55talking about with neutral,
- 37:58I had positive and negative,
- 37:59and I didn't have that middle road to
- 38:01go to.
- 38:03I took it as completely negative.
- 38:05And I felt like they were asking me
- 38:07to leave.
- 38:08They did not ask me to leave.
- 38:10They asked me to stop coaching and get
- 38:12better before I continued to coach.
- 38:18But I felt like I had done so
- 38:21much for them.
- 38:22I felt like they were leaving me off
- 38:24on my own to fix it.
- 38:27And not like you were the person that
- 38:30helped me get from five hundred and thirty
- 38:31pounds to two hundred and sixty pounds.
- 38:34And now that I'm hurt,
- 38:35you won't help me anymore.
- 38:36Right.
- 38:38Like that's how I felt.
- 38:41And and again,
- 38:43it was the mindset that she talked about
- 38:45of going from positive to neutral as
- 38:50opposed to going positive to negative.
- 38:53And.
- 38:56it's made me think a lot um since
- 38:58she sent me uh her podcast on that
- 39:01and um and truly and here's jody uh
- 39:08thanks for the clarification on that
- 39:09because she did ask me about it my
- 39:12perception made it way worse than it
- 39:14really was
- 39:16It didn't help that the owner had never
- 39:19been through this before.
- 39:20He was a young business owner.
- 39:22You know,
- 39:22they don't teach business school to
- 39:26trainers.
- 39:27And he didn't know what words to use.
- 39:33Yeah.
- 39:34When I probably needed it more than
- 39:36anything.
- 39:37Yeah.
- 39:38And what's funny is Kelly Clark and I
- 39:39talked about it on Tuesday night and she
- 39:43said the same thing.
- 39:44Like it is her job as a coach
- 39:47to make sure that nobody ever walks out
- 39:49that door feeling like this isn't a place
- 39:52for, for help.
- 39:54And if she gets the sense that you're
- 39:56walking that way anyway,
- 40:01she will grab you because if you take
- 40:04too many steps away,
- 40:05you're never coming back.
- 40:07Yeah.
- 40:15So CJ and Dents have been going at
- 40:17it.
- 40:18We are arguing in Scott's living room.
- 40:21I missed the first ten minutes.
- 40:26So back on the other subject.
- 40:28You felt abandoned because the story you
- 40:29had previously built up in your head based
- 40:32on old experiences.
- 40:33So the story had roots and therefore
- 40:35clouded your perception before he even
- 40:38said what he did.
- 40:40I think the one thing I'll say to
- 40:42that, Vicki,
- 40:42is if he would have came up to
- 40:44me and said, hey,
- 40:47we've worked together and we've conquered
- 40:49so much.
- 40:51I just need you to take a step
- 40:52away from coaching so we can get that
- 40:54focus on you again.
- 40:57I think would have changed everything for
- 40:59me in that moment.
- 41:01But there's a saying that in the military
- 41:07that save yourself first.
- 41:09You can't save yourself.
- 41:10You can't save anybody else.
- 41:13You had took the first step, right?
- 41:15Lost a linebacker, like we said yesterday,
- 41:17two hundred thirty pounds.
- 41:18And then.
- 41:20Back injury,
- 41:21having some setbacks at that point.
- 41:24Yeah.
- 41:25Like you said,
- 41:26if he had just phrased it where, hey,
- 41:28let's let's work back on saving you again
- 41:30before to make you whole so that you
- 41:33can save yourself.
- 41:35Because he had a proof of concept.
- 41:37It was him and I that lost the
- 41:39linebacker, right?
- 41:40Yeah.
- 41:42And maybe he doesn't look at it that
- 41:43way.
- 41:43Maybe he looks at it like I took
- 41:45the bulls by the horn and kept showing
- 41:47up.
- 41:47But in my eyes,
- 41:48I felt like he was guiding me down
- 41:50that path.
- 41:51And to me, it was together.
- 41:54And when he said,
- 41:55you go do your thing and take care
- 41:58of yourself, it felt like, hey,
- 42:00go do this alone.
- 42:01Yeah.
- 42:11Oh, I get it.
- 42:12A hundred percent.
- 42:12I agree,
- 42:13but you would have heard it that way.
- 42:16If the story in your head was different
- 42:18to begin with is all I'm saying.
- 42:19Yeah.
- 42:22Not debating Vicki,
- 42:23just having an open conversation about it.
- 42:26Cause I,
- 42:27I still fight the demons of that moment.
- 42:32And,
- 42:32and I left that gym because every time
- 42:35I walked in, I felt like a failure.
- 42:40And, and I don't, and that,
- 42:42that made it really hard for that to
- 42:44be my solution.
- 42:47Yeah.
- 42:47Even though you didn't do anything wrong.
- 42:51Right.
- 42:51You feel like a failure to yourself.
- 42:53You feel like you let other people down
- 42:54because now I'm hurt and I can't do
- 42:56this.
- 42:56And now they don't want me to coach
- 42:57because I'm hurt and I can't do this.
- 43:02Yeah.
- 43:03And all the posters they had of me
- 43:05in my before and after pictures taken
- 43:07down.
- 43:09And now I'm walking into this building.
- 43:14And then there's all the memories of what,
- 43:17what I could do before the back injury.
- 43:20Right.
- 43:21And so then all of that is just
- 43:23like this.
- 43:25I felt like a failure and that's why
- 43:26I left that gym.
- 43:29primarily to go and went to Polaris.
- 43:34And like Vicky said right there,
- 43:35and it just spirals.
- 43:37Yep.
- 43:39It's easy to do, man.
- 43:40Once that shit starts getting in,
- 43:43it'll pile up and it'll pile up and
- 43:44it'll pile up and it'll pile up.
- 43:46And it can be hard to get rid
- 43:48of, you know,
- 43:50or to brush off or just however you
- 43:52want to look at it,
- 43:53to just move forward in a positive light
- 43:56after that.
- 43:59Larry Young.
- 44:00It definitely,
- 44:00it's definitely easier with a buddy,
- 44:02but I kind of feel, but I,
- 44:04but it's kind of hard to find a
- 44:06fifty-two-year-old peeps with similar
- 44:07mindsets.
- 44:09I wasn't looking for a buddy.
- 44:11I was looking for a coach.
- 44:14So, his name's Marcus.
- 44:16He's a great coach.
- 44:17He's the one that helped me lose the,
- 44:20all the weight,
- 44:22the two hundred and seventy pounds,
- 44:24and
- 44:26He didn't ever work out with me.
- 44:28He just coached me.
- 44:30He just checked in on me.
- 44:32He did all those things.
- 44:34And that's what I felt like was kind
- 44:37of taken away.
- 44:39Unfortunately,
- 44:40I feel like it's a common issue among
- 44:41coaches not knowing how to help dealing
- 44:43with injury when it happens.
- 44:49I know for us at Virtus, anytime somebody,
- 44:54you know,
- 44:55and it happens often because it doesn't,
- 44:56but somebody happens to get injured,
- 45:00to have an injury,
- 45:00whether it happens inside the gym or
- 45:02outside, we tell them, look, come back.
- 45:08As soon as you are able to,
- 45:10come back because we will, it's my job.
- 45:14when I'm on that floor to figure out
- 45:16a way to make whatever we're doing that
- 45:18day work for you.
- 45:20I don't give a shit.
- 45:21If you got one good leg,
- 45:23one good arm, no,
- 45:26like we will figure something out.
- 45:28That is not,
- 45:28that is not that big a deal.
- 45:30I think the comeback is great,
- 45:32but I think,
- 45:34I think it has to go a step
- 45:35further to let them know you're,
- 45:39you're there with them.
- 45:41And that's the piece I think that
- 45:43sometimes gets lost in that conversation.
- 45:47You know, it's easy to say, Hey,
- 45:48just come in and hang out with the,
- 45:50come see everybody do the, you know,
- 45:52but Hey,
- 45:53come in and we'll see what you can
- 45:55do.
- 45:55We'll see if,
- 45:56if you can sit on a bike,
- 45:57we'll see if we'll make a list of
- 45:59the things you can do.
- 46:01Yeah.
- 46:04A hundred percent.
- 46:06Like I'm not interested in what you can't
- 46:07do.
- 46:08I'm way more interested in what you can
- 46:09do.
- 46:10You lost your support system.
- 46:12Yes, I did, Jay Birch.
- 46:16So this is in addition to what Freda
- 46:17had already said.
- 46:19They're great if you go in there already
- 46:21injured.
- 46:22If you walk in the door,
- 46:23and I agree with that,
- 46:23if you walk in the door injured,
- 46:25they have a plan.
- 46:27But when you get injured during the
- 46:30process,
- 46:31they don't always necessarily know what
- 46:33that means, how to handle that.
- 46:37Vicki,
- 46:37I am extremely grateful that my first
- 46:39coach and my new coach, CJ,
- 46:41are awesome with handling injuries and
- 46:43creating a situation that I don't spiral
- 46:45like that while also healing the injury.
- 46:50I think the complication to this was if
- 46:53it was an injury that I could have
- 46:55overcome in six weeks,
- 46:57I would have been fine.
- 46:59But this was an injury that through the
- 47:02insurance system and through everything,
- 47:04I had to keep trying different procedures
- 47:07till the main one took, right?
- 47:10And every time I thought I was over
- 47:12it, my body failed again.
- 47:14And then my body failed again.
- 47:17Because the first back injury was lifting
- 47:21a laundry basket.
- 47:23The second one was dead lifting a bar.
- 47:26The third one was just...
- 47:29going shoulder to overhead, right?
- 47:30Like it, and it was,
- 47:33it's because it never, ever got fixed.
- 47:37Yeah.
- 47:38And so after another,
- 47:39after another repeated thing that kept
- 47:42happening,
- 47:45but we don't have to stay on the
- 47:46negative because I'm going to,
- 47:49I'm about ready to kick some ass.
- 47:51What's she, what did he say about CJ?
- 47:55I mean, he's a PT.
- 47:57So in addition to being,
- 47:59and I'm pretty sure he's an L three.
- 48:01So in addition,
- 48:03you put those two things together and
- 48:04like,
- 48:05he's going to fix or do his damn
- 48:07just to fix whatever, you know,
- 48:08give you the tools I should say to
- 48:11fix whatever it is that's broken to get
- 48:13you back healthy and,
- 48:14and doing all the things you want to
- 48:15do again.
- 48:17He is a good dude.
- 48:19Yeah.
- 48:20I saw him at the masters games with
- 48:22his athletes.
- 48:24He's he's freaking amazing.
- 48:29um meredith i have a bad back myself
- 48:31horrible injury so frustrating yeah the
- 48:34thing is i think i got the back
- 48:36fixed like i'm good there it's the now
- 48:39we got to get through the other stuff
- 48:40yeah between your sinuses and your lungs
- 48:44and you forget that respiratory system the
- 48:46whole breathing is important as it turns
- 48:49out i could see cj being a great
- 48:52coach he's super passionate and gets
- 48:54invested yes
- 48:56And then also like J.Y.,
- 49:00he is right when he isn't.
- 49:08Got to love when the dad speaks.
- 49:10Absolutely.
- 49:12To be fair,
- 49:13I could watch John Young do just about
- 49:16anything and it would be entertaining
- 49:18because that dude is a character in and
- 49:20of himself.
- 49:22He is.
- 49:24He is.
- 49:25That's why he's on so many shows, man.
- 49:28The senior analyst.
- 49:31Just don't take scores during the
- 49:34broadcast, man.
- 49:35Can we not do that?
- 49:36That'd be fantastic.
- 49:38I like the way Tyler just lit into
- 49:39it.
- 49:40Dude, what are you doing?
- 49:41Yeah.
- 49:45That was fantastic.
- 49:48Yeah,
- 49:48I think the spin behind the scenes is
- 49:50probably more interesting than the one
- 49:52they put out to the public.
- 49:55I bet.
- 49:56I bet those conversations,
- 49:57like once you hit, you know,
- 49:59we're not broadcasting anymore.
- 50:02I can't even imagine.
- 50:03I can't even imagine.
- 50:05John is passionate.
- 50:08He sure is.
- 50:09About everything.
- 50:12Like,
- 50:13It doesn't matter what it is.
- 50:14It could be his grocery list.
- 50:15Like I'm going to get chicken today.
- 50:18Like he would be yelling it at the,
- 50:19at the screen.
- 50:20It doesn't matter what it is,
- 50:22which is why.
- 50:23Yeah.
- 50:26From his father was the worst.
- 50:36Oh goodness.
- 50:38Yes.
- 50:38Guilty face was definitely the worst.
- 50:40Uh,
- 50:43That threw me off.
- 50:44I forgot what I was fixing to say.
- 50:45But yeah, his body language, yeah,
- 50:47was absolutely everything.
- 50:50It's fantastic.
- 50:50Vicky,
- 50:50I'm waiting for the day they accidentally
- 50:52forget to turn off the stream,
- 50:53but it's not.
- 50:56As long as Brian is there, they're good.
- 51:00But if like Sven can't make it for
- 51:01whatever reason,
- 51:02he's on vacation and they go live anyway,
- 51:04that's when that's going to happen.
- 51:06I feel like Brian's got his finger on
- 51:07a don't button,
- 51:08like ready to kill it at any given
- 51:11point.
- 51:11Them other...
- 51:15That's a lot of what happened.
- 51:17We did it one time.
- 51:20Way back.
- 51:21Yeah.
- 51:22Way back.
- 51:25Man.
- 51:29Well, that's a pretty good show for today.
- 51:31I ain't mad at it.

- 52:48Yeah.
- 52:48All right.
- 52:49Bye.
