  Speaker 3: Yeah, I appreciate it. It means a lot.

  Speaker 2: Yeah. So, have you had a chance to breathe yet?

  Speaker 2: I mean, I know you got on a plane first

  Speaker 2: thing this morning, went out here. What do you think

  Speaker 3: It's amazing. I can already just feel the atmosphere just

  Speaker 3: being around. The coach is super excited to learn and

  Speaker 3: just come in and work. Yeah.

  Speaker 2: Absolutely, I mean that's what we hear about you. You're

  Speaker 2: a head down, just work coach pleaser. Where do you

  Speaker 3: Just kind of just raised that way with my sisters.

  Speaker 3: You know, I took the way of being I was

  Speaker 3: the baby for ten years until my younger sister was born,

  Speaker 3: and just always watching my two older sisters. Kind of

  Speaker 3: just had to keep my head down.

  Speaker 2: That's a lot of pressure when you're the boy two

  Speaker 2: older sisters who are good athletes. You got to keep

  Speaker 2: up right for sure.

  Speaker 4: Yeah, when did you finally turn the tide with your

  Speaker 4: older sisters? Like playing sports the backyard, that kind of stuff.

  Speaker 3: I mean, was it competitive with them growing? Very competitive

  Speaker 3: to the smallest things of playing cards. We competed everything

  Speaker 3: we did. But really I probably started beating them in
• 1:42
  Speaker 3: races and stuff when I was ninth tenth grade. So

  Speaker 3: so yeah, okay.

  Speaker 4: I wanted to ask you a little bit. I know

  Speaker 4: Evan's probably gonna have some real film breakdown. Evan's our

  Speaker 4: some of the highlights as the draft just getting ready

  Speaker 4: to get under way tonight. Just what the atmosphere was

  Speaker 4: like in Kansas City for you. You know, we got

  Speaker 4: to see you get out there and you had your

  Speaker 4: custom suit and you know, seeing you know, Commissioner Goodell.

  Speaker 4: Just what was the atmosphere overall like last night?

  Speaker 3: Oh, it was amazing. It was a dream come true.

  Speaker 3: Kind of flew by, you know, just sitting in the

  Speaker 3: green room with a lot of people I know too,
• 2:24
  Speaker 3: my family and then all the other prospects. Being able
• 2:27
  Speaker 3: to just you know, we worked so hard for that

  Speaker 3: moment and being able to go in there and just

  Speaker 3: enjoy it with our families meant everything to me.

  Speaker 1: And we were just talking to the assistant coaches and

  Speaker 1: coach Mayo told us that he came out to Oregon
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: to talk to you and meet with you before the draft.

  Speaker 1: What was that meeting like and did you have an
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: inkling at all after that meeting that the Patriots might
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: be called.

  Speaker 3: Oh, it was a great meeting. H know. We sat down,

  Speaker 3: talked ball, he was teaching me stuff. But you know,

  Speaker 3: I didn't really think anything of it of gonna end

  Speaker 3: up here. Kind of just went along with the process.

  Speaker 1: And at Oregon you played in the coverage system that's
• 3:06
  Speaker 1: pretty complex. You know in college sometimes teams just sit
• 3:08
  Speaker 1: in one type of coverage. But you guys really spun
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: the dial on quarterbacks. I know coach Loupoid was at
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: Alabama and you know Patriots connection to Alabama. What was
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: that system like and how multiple was it? You know,
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: in terms of your mental side of things.

  Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a lot, but I think that was
• 3:26
  Speaker 3: great to be able to play in that and just

  Speaker 3: learn it was It's gonna give me a good transition

  Speaker 3: to the league. You know. There's still so much more

  Speaker 3: to learn that I'm super excited to learn. But I'm

  Speaker 3: glad I played in that system.

  Speaker 2: But yeah, you you played a lot of positions growing

  Speaker 2: up in football, and then you know you've settled on

  Speaker 2: cornerback once you did that, once you said okay, I'm

  Speaker 2: a cornerback. Was there a guy you know in the

  Speaker 2: NFL that you kind of fashioned yourself after, you know,

  Speaker 2: former player, a current player that he said, yeah, I

  Speaker 2: want to be like that guy.

  Speaker 3: When I started playing really for real. It was Pastor Tan, big, tall,

  Speaker 3: kind of corner you know, I'm kind of around the

  Speaker 3: same size. He's a big technician, elite technician, So someone

  Speaker 3: I could try to play like seeing someone move at
• 4:24
  Speaker 3: this size, being fluid kind of just what I try

  Speaker 3: to model my game after.

  Speaker 2: Absolutely.

  Speaker 4: Ask you a little bit about that speed that you have,

  Speaker 4: and obviously you've been pretty versatile in that secondary or

  Speaker 4: for Oregon, but if you have any return experience, I

  Speaker 4: figured with that kind of speed and athleticism that you'd

  Speaker 4: keep you away from because they're trying to make sure

  Speaker 3: I mean I did in high school and kind of

  Speaker 3: wanted to in college. Never really did. I would in practice,

  Speaker 3: but never really never did in the game, but I

  Speaker 4: coach talking about it on the radio today and he

  Speaker 4: said it was intentional. He wanted to make sure he

  Speaker 4: away from that. He knew you had that ability.
