- 0:00New podcast alert, new podcast. We have had a quite the run
- 0:05lately schedule wise. I don't even remember the last
- 0:08pod we did in the studio. As you guys can see, we are
- 0:11doing this a little different with just one camera today.
- 0:14That is because we do not have a whole lot of time right now and
- 0:18this will be much quicker to edit.
- 0:20So that is why you're seeing one video frame, correct?

- 2:10According to the Spotify analytics, it says shows like
- 2:13ours should have like 3 times as many followers with how many
- 2:17viewers we get or whatever. So that means you guys are
- 2:19underachieving and we need you to subscribe.
- 2:22But let's let's hop into it. I don't remember the last time
- 2:26we did a pod here, but I think it may have been pre Vegas even.
- 2:32I don't think we've done one after Vegas.
- 2:35We did do the Podium Archer podcast and talk in depth about
- 2:39Vegas, so we won't really talk about that too much here.
- 2:42If you guys want to hear more about it, go listen to that.
- 2:45It's basically all we talk about for like 3 hours.
- 2:48Yeah, but we couldn't touch on the Buckle series.
- 2:52What was your thoughts on the Buckle series and the Buckle
- 2:55itself? Long We did that, but maybe we
- 2:57didn't. Maybe we didn't.
- 3:00You talk and I'm going to look at the.
- 3:01The Buckle series was it was great.
- 3:04It's a good, it's a good series. You know, if you're in the
- 3:11Arizona area, anywhere southern to mid California, you know
- 3:15you're not looking at more than a few to 6 to 8 hours drive or
- 3:20so from wherever you're coming from.
- 3:24And you know, there's still, it's not, you know, it's not
- 3:30like clear lanes and like ASA. So the last podcast we did here
- 3:34was March 25th that came out, which is before Vegas, I believe
- 3:38or maybe right during. And then after that we had one
- 3:42with Kayla, one with Towson and then we missed a week.
- 3:44So yeah, we have, we have not talked about any of these topics
- 3:47on this pod. So anyway.
- 3:49Continue. So yeah, just a little more
- 3:54challenging than your, I think probably your standard like ASA
- 3:59or something. Now you have more competition
- 4:02because those shoots are much larger in an ASA.
- 4:07But yeah, a little more, you know, ups and downs and see you
- 4:12know, some will cater or quarter their targets just a little bit.
- 4:18You know, it's not just, you know, wide out in front of you.
- 4:20They'll play with lighting a lot.
- 4:23So yeah. Oh, there really was a rocking
- 4:26I. Told you the Mikes might have
- 4:29picked that up. But yeah, you, you won your
- 4:33buckle. Yeah, maybe.
- 4:35I'll get it and show you talk. I'll get it.
- 4:36OK, keep talking. Oh, there goes taters.
- 4:44It's a great buckle. Doesn't look like it's focusing
- 4:52on it. But anyway, I don't know why
- 4:54it's not but. It's like cameras.
- 4:56There it goes. There we go.
- 4:59So there's the buckle. Yeah, and you went to three out
- 5:04of the four legs, so you get to choose which ones you want to go
- 5:08to. Or if you want to go to all
- 5:09four, they'll just drop your lowest score for you, which I
- 5:13think is pretty cool. And yeah, overall just a fun
- 5:17series to do to go out and, you know, either camp, most of them
- 5:21had camping on on location, or you could stay at a nearby
- 5:24hotel. And yeah, so I think you overall
- 5:30enjoyed it. You learned a lot about playing
- 5:33with like a target ish style outdoor rig, which is another,
- 5:39you know, achievement unlocked for you compared to just using a
- 5:44standard hunting rig with a sliding site.
- 5:47I do enjoy that a lot of places are moving towards the modern
- 5:50bowhunter class. I can't say that enough.
- 5:54I don't know how many, but I would say it's the vast minority
- 5:58that go out there with A5 pin non movable site and you know,
- 6:06gap pins or stack pins anymore. Now most 5 pins or even 3 pins
- 6:13that you buy slide and if you have the opportunity to be more
- 6:19accurate, I think the majority of the world is sliding.
- 6:22That doesn't mean there's a lens, that doesn't mean there's
- 6:24a clarifier verifier doesn't mean there's a 25 inch stab on
- 6:28the front of it, doesn't mean there's 18 inch back bars coming
- 6:31out the side. Like you're not going hunting
- 6:33with all of that, but at minimum you do slide your site.
- 6:36I think that's pretty common in the hunting world now.
- 6:39So why have we not advanced the bow hunter class to allow for
- 6:44that? So I get it.
- 6:45If you want to have a couple, just add another group to the
- 6:50winners list. You could just advance the bow
- 6:54hunter class to be modern bow hunter and allow for sliding
- 6:58sights. But I get it, you know, if
- 6:59there's some old school people out there who want to keep that,
- 7:03you know, class because you feel there's a which there is, you
- 7:05know, there's a challenge to that that you're either good at
- 7:08or not as good at. And that is gapping pins and
- 7:11stacking pins. And then even more traditional
- 7:14is the unknown class where they both gap or stack and have to
- 7:20guess their yardage. So I get it, there's a level of
- 7:22difficulty in there, but I would just love a modern bow hunter
- 7:27class where like, I'm not going out and putting all that extra
- 7:30stuff on my bow, but I can slide my sight and that I appreciate
- 7:34some, some, some archery ranges are including that class now.
- 7:39So that I think is pretty cool. So I'm going to do it next year
- 7:43and I got to do my research. I got to look at the scores from
- 7:46this year, get an idea of where I feel I need to be at by next
- 7:49year. And, and move towards that, that
- 7:53buckle, or I'm going to sign up for every other buckle series
- 7:56there is in the Western Hemisphere of the US until I win
- 8:00a buckle, yeah. Yeah, I mean, I I think I'm
- 8:03excited for you to give it a RIP.
- 8:05I would love to defend my title, but I would have to find us both
- 8:09a. Filmer.
- 8:09A filmer? Yeah, I have to find a filmer.
- 8:11Which? Maybe we will by then, but I
- 8:12would love to be able to defend the title.
- 8:14But at the same time, if we don't have the the, you know, if
- 8:17it doesn't work out to get a filmer for.
- 8:19Or if you just don't film my series, you know.
- 8:21I would to film it though, I think that's super good stuff.
- 8:24And I think, you know, you do have a lot of women that watch
- 8:28your stuff and look up to you or learn from you.
- 8:31So I think to have you actually go compete for something that
- 8:34you know isn't just a pin. It's like something you put
- 8:38effort into and time into and I think for you to go do that as
- 8:43well as Vegas, I mean, we probably haven't said that on
- 8:45the pod either that you're doing Vegas next year in the Bow
- 8:47Hunter class, so. Not on this pod.
- 8:49I know. So I think the fact that, you
- 8:51know, you're stepping into that lane a little bit more, I think
- 8:54is really good for our videos. And I think it's also very good
- 8:58for especially women who want to get into it.
- 9:02And I'll be able to kind of watch you go along that journey.
- 9:06I think that'll be really, really good for for the viewers
- 9:09and for us. So I think that'll be fun.
- 9:11For the average day person who doesn't want to go to the level
- 9:15that you did as far as a target rig bars, competitive side, you
- 9:20know, just all the things that you know, add up to be an even
- 9:22more expensive bow than the hunting bow is.
- 9:25But hands down, there's it's it's more expensive, but you
- 9:32know, so this is just a different Ave. to show people
- 9:35and it can apply what I'm going to do to my bow.
- 9:40It applies to both men and women.
- 9:42You know, you would do the same things to both, whether it's the
- 9:44Super tune or, you know, different type of arrows.
- 9:47Just on a hunting bow, a simple change in stabilizer that maxes
- 9:53out the length that you can have in the bow hunter class without,
- 9:57you know, going into a $500 front stabilizer.
- 10:03That applies to both. But the, the things that I will
- 10:07do specifically to to train and prepare can definitely apply to
- 10:12women who want to get ready for it and just see the beginning,
- 10:16you know, results when we shoot that first stick through a full
- 10:20300 round compared to the end. We'll give a lot of people an
- 10:25idea of like, OK, these these drills and, you know, tactics
- 10:31are successful to overall just improving your archery accuracy.
- 10:37And so to see it on someone who you could say is a bit more
- 10:40average of a shooter compared to you, I think we'll show people
- 10:46even more. Yeah, I think so.
- 10:48And I think you'll have fun with it too.
- 10:50I mean, I certainly have had fun.
- 10:52I mean, I am excited to get done with reading, which is this
- 10:58upcoming weekend and then be able to just shoot the alliance
- 11:02for the rest of the summer and hunting because I have not spent
- 11:06a lot of time behind that bow and it it showed a little bit in
- 11:09Taco Oklahoma. Not that I shot bad when we
- 11:11added up the scores at the end. I actually somehow did have the
- 11:14highest overall total, but like I didn't win a lot of matches or
- 11:17things, but it it took me time to figure out the tape, you
- 11:20know, it had a new string and blah, blah, blah.
- 11:22Well, and. Just because you haven't had
- 11:23time behind it, you didn't. You didn't recognize that you'd
- 11:27you'd shot enough to stretch out your strings but never went back
- 11:31for your tune. So then your tape didn't align
- 11:33the feet of your bow tape? Was made for a different string
- 11:37altogether. So then when I got this one, I
- 11:38never got it redone so, but I'm excited.
- 11:41I really what I learned in Oklahoma was that I really like
- 11:46the way the Alliance feels. Even in performance, a draw
- 11:49feels good. It points really well and I'm
- 11:54excited to, you know, shoot the Proven this weekend for three
- 11:58days in Reading. Hopefully do really well, which
- 12:00I feel like I will. I feel really good with the
- 12:02Proven, especially coming off the series we just did.
- 12:05I feel pretty solid, but I am excited to just shoot the
- 12:08alliance, you know, for a boat Disciples challenge, TAC
- 12:11Pennsylvania, TAC Michigan, which that does lead me to a
- 12:15kind of unfortunate update in our schedule and that is that we
- 12:18will no longer be going to TAC Vermont or TAC Crystal Mountain,
- 12:24which sucks. We were excited.
- 12:25We had a whole road trip planned.
- 12:28We were going to go on working class bow hunters, hang out with
- 12:30those guys again. We were going to do 4 tacks and
- 12:33a road trip and it ended up that one of the people in our crew
- 12:37had this sort of bail and that they were.
- 12:39Sort of the primary reason. Yeah, we were going to Vermont,
- 12:42so they were kind of a key piece and then once they bailed, it
- 12:45changed the trip, which is good and bad.
- 12:47It's a bummer we won't be able to say hi to everyone in Vermont
- 12:50or Crystal Mountain, but on the flip side, it's nice for us
- 12:54because you know, that was going to be a five week road trip
- 12:57immediately after Bo disciples challenge, which would have been
- 13:00brutal. So now we're going to be home a
- 13:03lot more this summer than we anticipated, which is, you know,
- 13:07for us personally, actually pretty nice.
- 13:09Then we're looking forward to it, but we will still be at
- 13:11Pennsylvania for the whole time and also Boeing.
- 13:16So super excited about that and who knows?
- 13:19I mean, we our our Canadian friend Rebecca is doing Montana
- 13:23and we weren't going to go to that.
- 13:25We still probably aren't. But like now it's like we don't
- 13:28know more stuff could happen now that the schedules opened up.
- 13:30So, but the two tacks were for sure going to are those two plus
- 13:34bow disciples challenge, which you guys should definitely come
- 13:37to. I think the third three days is
- 13:40going to be so sick and, and but yeah, I think the competition
- 13:45stuff to to circle back is, is really good.
- 13:48I think you're going to enjoy it, you know, it's going to the
- 13:53biggest thing is you're going to learn how have to learn how to
- 13:55not make those metal glitches that really could kill you, you
- 13:58know, especially indoor like you just can't afford it and.
- 14:03But I think that goal of that I'm trying to reach of, of
- 14:08pushing that bow to its as you know, I when I got it, I said
- 14:12Nope, do not get me another set of £50 limbs.
- 14:15You get me 60 LB limps and I will get there.
- 14:19And I have not gotten. Not yet.
- 14:22Not yet, but we've managed to get it up now to, you know, I
- 14:28think it's at 50 and I shot it all through Oklahoma and other
- 14:34than a couple times I was just being lazy and had you draw
- 14:36because I was sitting down for the shots.
- 14:39Pretty uncomfortable footing you can get in Oklahoma.
- 14:43Is mine off? It's going to die.
- 14:45Oh, it's flash in red. We can pass this one back and
- 14:47forth. This is.
- 14:50Sorry guys, our, our, our all our cameras, like everything is
- 14:53on East, including us. But like we're working on it.
- 14:56So these mics also for some reason they don't charge super
- 14:59consistent, like they'll be in the charging case, but sometimes
- 15:02they like won't charge. So that one is gonna die, but
- 15:04it's fine. We'll just hand this one back.
- 15:06I'll just make sure you watch the light on it.
- 15:07Yeah, but anyways, you know, it felt like I could already, like
- 15:13I told you, move it up a pound. And so we're by no means at a
- 15:17point where like I could pull that back 100 times back-to-back
- 15:20to back like I would need to do in a, you know, Vegas shooter or
- 15:24whatever. But if I can get it to 60, you
- 15:28know, before the end of before September, then when I back a
- 15:32bow down to use an indoor to 40 lbs or something, it's going to
- 15:38feel like a cakewalk, you know? Which I think will help
- 15:42significantly. Again, one of those tactics like
- 15:44you do not need to go with your Max poundage to an indoor 20
- 15:48yard shoot. That's just so silly.
- 15:50Yeah, and I mean if you're pulling less weight too, then
- 15:53you could up your holding weight, which can help you point
- 15:56better. So yeah, I mean, we'll we'll be
- 15:58able to get it all dialed in and you know, so far we haven't
- 16:02really drawn any tags. So right now we know we have a
- 16:05hunt in July and then we know we have one end of August into
- 16:08September. So I assume you plan to bring
- 16:09the alliance of course of. Course, yeah.
- 16:11So it'll be ready by then and I'll feel really good with it
- 16:14because that's all I'm going to be shooting after after this
- 16:17weekend in Reading. Also, this pod comes out
- 16:20Wednesday, so yeah, people at Reading will be able to hear
- 16:22this, maybe drive into the event or whatnot.
- 16:25But we do have a pretty exciting thing we're doing.
- 16:28We actually are going to have a Badlands 3D backpack with us
- 16:32that we're going to actually give away to somebody at
- 16:34Reddick. I don't know how yet.
- 16:36Brianna and I got to talk through how we're going to do
- 16:38that. We might do something random or
- 16:40do like a hide and seek or I don't know, we'll do something
- 16:43but. Stay tuned.
- 16:44Story related. Stay tuned to the Instagram for
- 16:47sure. That's likely where it'll kind
- 16:49of like. Fester out.
- 16:50Yeah, so stay tuned to the Bow Disciples Instagram page.
- 16:53Be sure to follow follow the stories if you're in reading
- 16:56because we're only giving it to someone at the shoot, but
- 16:59there's thousands of people there, so you'll have a chance
- 17:01to win a super, super nice. That 3D pack.
- 17:06I love it because it's good for 3D, but I'm gonna hunt with that
- 17:10pack a lot because for a day pack, plenty of storage, a lot
- 17:14of nice different pocket options which to me I've always loved 2
- 17:17great water bottle holders and a lap belt that pulls forward when
- 17:23you tighten it which is really really nice.
- 17:24So I love the pack. It's a formed pack too, you
- 17:28know, It's kind. Of a name in it.
- 17:30Yeah, soft frame, but so the pack stays, stays formed.
- 17:35It doesn't like my my day pack right now, though.
- 17:39It has a waist belt, which is lovely.
- 17:41I think no matter what, a day pack should have a waist belt
- 17:44because when you're adding your amount of water you need for a
- 17:47day, plus, you know, your jackets you have in the morning,
- 17:51plus any, you know, you know, one to two sets of binoculars.
- 17:55Usually I have the vital pack plus a larger set in the
- 17:58backpack or you've got a spotting scope in the backpack.
- 18:03That's a lot of weight on your shoulders.
- 18:05So any day pack should have a waist belt, but the fact that it
- 18:09stays formed is very nice just because it makes it a lot easier
- 18:12to put things away and take things out.
- 18:15That's always been a big, big thing for me, along with the
- 18:18pull forward tightening straps for the waist belt because they
- 18:23don't stretch out as you walk, whereas your waist belt will
- 18:26tend to get loose when you pull them this way because they're
- 18:30they're working with you versus this is like fighting the
- 18:33opposite direction when you pull this way.
- 18:35So that I think is a plus. That's an excellent tape back.
- 18:40You know, it's not like an overnight pack or anything, like
- 18:43it's not large enough for that, but it's definitely large enough
- 18:47for a in and out few miles. You know you do hunting whatever
- 18:51every day. Yeah, and it's perfect for tack
- 18:54or, or, you know, motorcycles challenge or any 3D shooter
- 18:57reading. I'm going to wear it at reading
- 18:58so I could. Have a water bladder in it too.
- 19:00Technically, yeah. And so that's a sick backpack,
- 19:03and we're going to be giving one away at Reading, PA Tack and
- 19:08Michigan Tack. We're going to have one to give
- 19:10away at every single one of those stops.
- 19:12So stay tuned for that. It's going to be really exciting
- 19:15and again, if you want to purchase one team BD is going to
- 19:18save you 20%, which is huge. And I think we may have a
- 19:21special promotion coming on one soon.
- 19:23So stay tuned for that, but other.
- 19:26Real quick to highlight for Badlands just because I've been
- 19:30telling you that, you know, get more of the day, wear stuff get
- 19:33more of the day wear stuff and I got the jeans we've highlighted
- 19:37the shorts quite a bit now in in some content and whatnot, which
- 19:40are a fantastic short. The amount of pockets that they
- 19:45have that are not like big bulky cargo pockets, but allow you to
- 19:48stick, you know, or release in a pocket.
- 19:50Everything has zippers, like they dry really fast, they're
- 19:57super lightweight, great shorts for every day.
- 20:01Like when you hit 3D season and it's hot and same thing.
- 20:04Now you have the jeans those are.
- 20:09Very nice. And the lightweight pant, I
- 20:12think they even came out with a like a Chino pant I keep seeing
- 20:16ads for and some kind of fun color.
- 20:19So like, if you're a golfer who needs, you know, lightweight
- 20:22stuff like Badlands is just, you know, they're coming out with a
- 20:25lot of cool stuff. They have a lot of Yeah, I mean,
- 20:28they have an impressive line because they got packs,
- 20:30harnesses, Fanny packs, tons of clothes, day wear.
- 20:34That also can work for hunt wear.
- 20:36And it's actually pretty cool because we only have been
- 20:39working with Badlands for about a year now.
- 20:43And you mentioned it and I noticed it too is really cool
- 20:47because at Oklahoma Tech, a lot more people were wearing
- 20:50Badlands than I've seen before. So I, I would like to think
- 20:54hopefully we had something to do with that.
- 20:57If not, that's cool too. But I'm just happy people are
- 20:59wearing the gear because the gear is really good, phenomenal
- 21:02warranty and just such a vast array of options that they have.
- 21:07So. You literally can not beat the
- 21:12warranty because even if you were to blow out a hole in your
- 21:19rain gear or your hunting pants which I'm not saying theirs is
- 21:23more likely to blow out a hole than another piece of gear.
- 21:25I have kuyu pants that now like you know from sitting on rocks
- 21:29look just as as ass in the the back end.
- 21:36But the fact that when hunting clothes are so expensive that I
- 21:41can just throw a piece of blue tape on the area that needs
- 21:44correction and likelihood is they're just going to send you
- 21:46back the new pair and not correct the old pair.
- 21:50How do you how do you beat that versus having to go drop another
- 21:53150 to $300 on a jacket or a rain gear set or, or whatever?
- 22:00You know, that's a lot of money out of people's pockets when you
- 22:03could just send it in for the cost of your shipping, I think.
- 22:07And get it back fixed or a brand new, you know, set and whatever
- 22:14it was. I agree.
- 22:15I mean, super cool, especially, you know, for humble poppers
- 22:19like myself that don't like to spend money and, and, or, or if
- 22:23you do spend money, you want that shit to last.
- 22:27What better way to give you confidence than a lifetime
- 22:29warranty like that? So yeah, really cool.
- 22:32Shout out to Badlands team BD 20%.
- 22:34And then I have kind of a fun question.
- 22:37So we're early in the year. It's all, it's all not even
- 22:41quite May yet, but we've had a decent amount of events so far
- 22:45this year. We've hit high noon on the HeLa,
- 22:49Rumble in the Rocks, Blythe Bowman, Vegas, Oklahoma Attack.
- 22:56Those are the five main events we've hit so far this year.
- 22:59And obviously reading this weekend, but so far out of the
- 23:03five events we've hit, which one has been your favorite event?
- 23:09I think tacks are always going to be my my favorite.
- 23:13I like I told you, we really got to have like a, a renaissance
- 23:18sesh of like when we just bring back all the old characters you
- 23:22know, of, IE our friends that haven't been able to like line
- 23:27up attack where we all go again in like a year or more.
- 23:32And it's just like, it's just fun.
- 23:37Yeah, videos are fun to make, but it's it's fun when it's just
- 23:40on a camcorder and we just like pass it around from person to
- 23:44person. That all of your friends know
- 23:46how to use the camcorder. Press start, stop, zoom, you
- 23:50know, like tap the screen for focus.
- 23:53And pretty much all of them have been trained on like what shot
- 23:56you like behind the shoulder. So we all know what to do.
- 23:59So like there's no just like you're just having fun playing
- 24:02the game of whatever the video idea is.
- 24:05But like you're, you're still getting that experience of TAC.
- 24:08It's not like about the the making of the content.
- 24:13And, and and and speaking to that too, like in Oklahoma, the
- 24:18only day we even shot like a course in its entirety was the
- 24:21first day. And it was largely because we
- 24:23were only filming on the camcorder, passing it around.
- 24:26Yeah. Whereas all the other.
- 24:28On the 1st 5 targets we started on target 6 I think.
- 24:30Whereas all the other days we only had about 10 shots because
- 24:33it takes so Dang long to film with the other way.
- 24:36So and, and personally, I think the videos are better when
- 24:39they're filmed on one camera. Grip and RIP.
- 24:41I thought that video was so fun. I thought it was such a fun
- 24:44video. It felt vintage.
- 24:45It was hilarious, good arrow flight, like had a storyline of
- 24:50the game, but it was mostly just about killer jokes being a
- 24:54little wild and I loved it. And then in Redding, you know,
- 24:57spoiler alert. But in Redding, we're going to
- 24:59film that same style. We're not doing the dual cameras
- 25:02anymore. We're going to go back to just
- 25:04Brianna's ripping the camcorder and I'm saying wild shit and
- 25:08trying to shoot my best and it's going to be fun.
- 25:11But I agree with you. I think there's something to.
- 25:15It's experiencing tact. When we used to film, when we
- 25:18used to film with our our regular group before we started
- 25:21filming with other people that do videos, we would be faster
- 25:24than groups that weren't filming.
- 25:26Now that's definitely not the case.
- 25:28So like I would like to. You know, we always finished a
- 25:32course. Every time, full in full.
- 25:35So we're going to sign up regular.
- 25:36We're not going to shoot at 6:00 AM or 3:00 PM and you know,
- 25:39we're going to have a frigging regular group of poppers and
- 25:42just like go friggin shoot at 9 P 9:00 AM and shoot the whole
- 25:46thing and and. You're 4 1/2 to five hours of a
- 25:49course, like it takes everybody and, and get through the whole
- 25:53thing. And from there, we'd usually get
- 25:55lunch and hang out in the vendor village and then go back.
- 25:57Go back, Yeah. Or we would hit a second course
- 26:01or, you know, or, you know, we'd go do the RMEF or the, the
- 26:05Lancaster, you know, the, OR lacrosse, the, the, the easier
- 26:10course and, and then go back and, you know, hang out at the
- 26:16Airbnb or, or whatever, or our hotel room back then.
- 26:21Yeah. So I think a little bit of a
- 26:24nostalgia and how like tax used to be.
- 26:26There's still fun though, like great Airbnb's, great fun when
- 26:30we go out to dinners and, or, or come back to the Airbnb's.
- 26:35I would just love to have more of the tac experience again when
- 26:39we're when we're there, IE just the courses, you know, because
- 26:42like you're going to get to shoot these fun courses that are
- 26:47not regularly set at your local fun shoot, you know, And so to
- 26:51not get to do as much of that as possible while you're there in
- 26:55your three or four days, depending on the length is like,
- 26:59it's a, you know, it's a missed opportunity on your part to, to
- 27:03get to experience as many of those crazy fun, technical long
- 27:07shots as possible. So why not try to dedicate as
- 27:11much time to that and hanging out the vendor village as
- 27:14possible, you know? Yeah.
- 27:16And speaking to that too, one thing that I'm bummed that we
- 27:19did not do at one of the events we went to this year was Rumble
- 27:25in the Rocks had an extreme course as one of their fun
- 27:28courses and we did not get to do it.
- 27:29We did the other two. We did not do the extreme one.
- 27:32That is a little regret of mine. I wish we would have shot the
- 27:35extreme course just to give it a shot, you know, but we didn't.
- 27:39So maybe next year we got to do Rumble in the Rocks again.
- 27:43For me, that's one, unless something that we have to do is
- 27:46like there. I want to do that one for the
- 27:48foreseeable future and hopefully they'll have that extreme course
- 27:51again and we can give it a go 2027.
- 27:54But Rumble and the Rocks would be on the list for me.
- 27:57I just love that. Well, obviously Vegas, Vegas
- 28:01would probably be like the top of this heap for me, but I
- 28:06really liked Rumble in the Rocks because it's beautiful.
- 28:09The setting shooting was not that tough, but like the setting
- 28:13was beautiful. I love that they have the
- 28:14saloon. There is so cool people go hang
- 28:17out after. That would be a crazy place to
- 28:19have like a full three day. I would love camp there.
- 28:23Be a little nervous about you'd want to definitely do it in a
- 28:28cooler time of year just simply for the sheer amount of
- 28:32interactions you may have with rattlesnakes because of all the
- 28:36rocks. You can guarantee there's more
- 28:38rattlesnakes there which are more active in the summertime,
- 28:42obviously. And so just for the sake of
- 28:46security purposes, you'd want it in a cooler time.
- 28:49But imagine just a three day event there where like you have
- 28:51the saloon in the evenings, you can have a concert like, you
- 28:56know, whatever, set up cornhole boards and whatever out there in
- 29:02front of the the saloon and then like really utilize all those
- 29:07those rocks. Imagine like the steep shots you
- 29:10could have like up and down and just like through the tunnels
- 29:15with the rocks, like there's a lot.
- 29:17And they have a pool too. They have a pool, they have
- 29:20animals. It's just a cool spot.
- 29:22So I really like that. Event I did love the horses I'm.
- 29:24Glad we I'm glad we went to that event.
- 29:25I think that would be a fun one next year to like invite a bunch
- 29:29of the buddies and like pitch in and rent one of the places they
- 29:32are on the property and just split the cost.
- 29:35Up now I do think definitely getting a house if you can get
- 29:38you know a a confirmed list of of people to go because it is
- 29:43not the cheapest on site cabins. No, they're not the cheapest,
- 29:48but it would be, it would make it a lot more fun than driving
- 29:51over to, you know, Wilcox or Benson to camp.
- 29:55Yeah, but I mean, yeah, we've done a lot of sick events this
- 29:58year. I'm I'm very much anticipating
- 30:00reading. I'm excited for reading.
- 30:02I am excited for it to be over as well and then sort of be done
- 30:05competing for the year. But other than attack and
- 30:09messing around, but like, man, we've had a lot of cool events
- 30:13this year and and two that I've I mean, I'm for sure doing Vegas
- 30:18again. Definitely.
- 30:20And then I have a feeling we'll feel the same about reading.
- 30:22So like it, it'll just be fun to hit some of these and and then
- 30:26next year have you dip your toe in the water.
- 30:28I mean, you were considering shooting reading until we, you
- 30:30know, we tried the logistics of it and it's just like it didn't
- 30:34really work to where you could do it.
- 30:36But you should get to shoot the practice course and maybe maybe
- 30:39they'd have a fun course. I don't know but.
- 30:40Yeah, who knows? And I do think that that same
- 30:45idea come here, Nugget, you know, same thing with Tack, but
- 30:52for Vegas. I think what makes Vegas or can
- 30:55make Vegas very fun is if you get a bunch of your buddies to
- 31:00go. And so it's kind of like going,
- 31:03I said to a convention, like you wake up in the morning, stay at
- 31:09the Paris, stay at the hotel it's at.
- 31:11You know, if you get enough buddies to split your hotel
- 31:13rooms, don't be shy. Share bed with them.
- 31:15Who cares? And so you can lower your cost
- 31:19because Vegas is not cheap. You know, you wake up in the
- 31:24morning, you, you get your coffee and yeah, you head down
- 31:27in your slippies and go, you know, watch your Bunny shoot.
- 31:30And then you go and hang out, do whatever.
- 31:34Like go to the vendor area and then go get ready.
- 31:36Go to practice. Like practice ranges are open.
- 31:39Like a lot. All the time I like.
- 31:41And I. Thought practice was.
- 31:43That's something to touch on. Actually real quick is I thought
- 31:46it would be much more of an ordeal to practice.
- 31:49It was not at all. You literally could practice
- 31:51anytime you want and just like it's, it's a nothing burger.
- 31:55So like if you are going to Vegas for first time and you
- 31:58have that anxiety that I did of like, oh, am I going to be able
- 32:00to practice? Like yes, you are going to be
- 32:01able to practice. And I agree, having a group like
- 32:04man. You go out afterwards, it's kind
- 32:07of like what we do on hunts, like you go out afterwards and
- 32:10it's just basically like a debrief of the whole day and how
- 32:12you shot and like you know how things went and and you know,
- 32:16you explain in that one arrow that just didn't go right or
- 32:20whatever in detail. Well, it's.
- 32:22Good too that you don't necessarily shoot at the same
- 32:25time like you were saying, because if you all shoot at the
- 32:28same time, then it kind of sucks.
- 32:29You can't go like gesture your buddy.
- 32:31But if if you're shooting at different times, then you can
- 32:34kind of go, you know, bounce around and watch different
- 32:38people. So that was really cool.
- 32:41I like that. A lot.
- 32:42I'm hoping next year we have. I would love to have some more.
- 32:47There are plenty of people we knew there, but like to get some
- 32:51of our friends from here to to go I think would be really cool
- 32:57I think. Scott's for sure in I think that
- 33:00I bet. Joey would.
- 33:01I think Joey would do it, which would.
- 33:03I don't know why, but shooting Vegas sounds hilarious.
- 33:06He'd probably have a grit on the on the lie.
- 33:10Get kicked out. Oh boy.
- 33:12But but yeah, so exciting stuff. Like I said, follow the
- 33:18Instagram story for sure coming through with reading coming up
- 33:22and we'll see you guys around. We're going to be out and about
- 33:25this summer. Super bummed we're not doing
- 33:27Vermont, but we did make sure we wanted to say that somewhere.
- 33:31Not that people would go just to meet us, but I don't want people
- 33:34to be like, ah, I thought they said they were coming and now
- 33:36they're not. So yeah, that's unfortunate.
- 33:39But nonetheless, full schedule and we got some cool hunts too.
- 33:44So it's just going to be a great year.
- 33:45We'll have. A Turkey double That was fun.
- 33:48Yeah, yeah, we didn't. You know, we have not talked
- 33:50about that, but and then we still got to go out and try the
- 33:53decap, try the decap. I didn't.
- 33:55Sail A decap, but it was. That was too far though.
- 33:58That's not, I mean, it's literally advertised at which,
- 34:02you know, distance and under you're supposed to shoot a decap
- 34:05shot. So yeah, hopefully maybe when we
- 34:08get back from reading between, we have to do it between reading
- 34:12and your shoot, because otherwise I think archery season
- 34:16ends like the week end of your shoot.
- 34:19Yeah, so we'll have that'll that'll be our window.
- 34:23But thanks for listening to the podcast.
- 34:26We appreciate y'all topping on here.
- 34:28Sorry, we we missed a week, but this year we're really
- 34:31attempting to have a pod out every week and I think we only
- 34:34have missed a handful. So we're doing better than we
- 34:37did last year and if we need to, it's nice we can just pop up 1
- 34:41camera and have good audio and get it out quicker because we
- 34:45really are pretty, pretty pinched for time.
- 34:48But that should get better after reading and for sure after BD
- 34:52challenge. So the content will be a little
- 34:54less. But we, we, we've just been
- 34:56grinding and getting stuff out. We appreciate the support.
- 35:00Like I said, five stars, Apple and Spotify, be sure to follow
- 35:02on there and then on the YouTube channel, of course, subscribe as
- 35:06well. And we will see you guys in the
- 35:09next podcast and hopefully at Reading or one of the other
- 35:13events we're doing. So appreciate y'all.
- 35:18Say bye. Bye.
