  Here's this week's work to fuel and fortify

  your prayer walk.

  Today, I wanna talk about how God
• 0:30
  still
• 0:31
  delivers.
• 0:32
  And the text that I'm coming from is
• 0:34
  Psalms thirty four seventeen through 18,
• 0:38
  and I wanna
• 0:39
  address it
• 0:41
  from the angle that sometimes there are moments
• 0:43
  in life when the weight of what we're
• 0:46
  carrying feels
• 0:47
  too heavy to lift.
• 0:50
  Life situations, whether they're financial,
• 0:52
  emotional,
• 0:54
  relational,
• 0:55
  sometimes they get really overwhelming and sometimes they're
• 0:58
  all connected and blend in so much so
• 1:00
  that we can't tell from one or the
• 1:03
  other
• 1:04
  which is coming first because they're all coming
• 1:06
  at us
• 1:07
  so fast.
• 1:09
  But the beauty of deliverance
• 1:12
  is this,
• 1:14
  God never intended for us to carry
• 1:17
  what he came to remove.
• 1:19
  He didn't,
• 1:20
  it he didn't say that we wouldn't go
• 1:22
  through it,
• 1:24
  but
• 1:25
  what we often forget is that he's right
• 1:28
  there with us
• 1:30
  to bring us out and to walk through
• 1:32
  with us to the end.
• 1:34
  Deliverance is not just about breaking our chains,
• 1:40
  it's more so about those emotional and mental
• 1:43
  chains.
• 1:45
  It's about freeing the mind, the heart, and
• 1:47
  the spirit.
• 1:50
  God,
• 1:51
  when we allow him to
• 1:54
  to come into our situation,
• 1:56
  he delivers us from patterns,
• 1:59
  whether those patterns are things that
• 2:02
  were taught to us or that we got
• 2:04
  ourselves into,
• 2:06
  those negative destruction patterns that can cause us
• 2:09
  chaos and
• 2:11
  sometimes
• 2:12
  physical or emotional
• 2:14
  or even spiritual detriment,
• 2:17
  it's those fears whether
• 2:20
  rightly based or not that say you can't,
• 2:23
  you won't, you're not,
• 2:25
  it's the addictions,
• 2:28
  The addictions, whether they're
• 2:30
  sexual or or food addictions or
• 2:34
  anything that that we cannot break ourselves from,
• 2:38
  maybe it's a shopping addiction, maybe it's addiction
• 2:40
  to sex,
• 2:42
  It's it's often those things that
• 2:44
  if we were truthful
• 2:47
  we would say we could stop at any
• 2:48
  time,
• 2:51
  but no we really can't
• 2:53
  and it takes God's
• 2:55
  power to to break us free
• 2:58
  and this one right here we don't even
• 3:01
  think about,
• 3:02
  but is a is a big one.
• 3:04
  Let's talk about toxic soul ties.
• 3:09
  Now these right here,
• 3:11
  they're not just from people that we may
• 3:13
  have slept with or had sexual relationships with,
• 3:17
  they can be emotional ties, maybe you didn't
• 3:19
  sleep with the person but you allowed yourself
• 3:22
  or allowed them to come into those sacred
• 3:24
  places of your heart that is
• 3:27
  granted or should have been given to someone
• 3:30
  that
• 3:31
  had that right stance,
• 3:33
  only to find out that
• 3:36
  they
• 3:37
  drained you of your joy, your peace, or
• 3:39
  even pulled you away from your love of
• 3:41
  God.
• 3:43
  And
• 3:44
  that leads to the next one, because when
• 3:47
  you don't have
• 3:48
  a healthy
• 3:50
  tie with somebody emotionally,
• 3:52
  you're always gonna have some spiritual battles and
• 3:54
  all of that
• 3:55
  is going to bring your strength,
• 3:58
  mind, body, and soul, and sometimes will leave
• 4:01
  you even suicidal.
• 4:03
  But remember, God says, I come that you
• 4:06
  have a life
• 4:07
  and have it more abundantly.
• 4:10
  You may even be walking through something right
• 4:13
  now that feels impossible
• 4:15
  to escape.
• 4:16
  Maybe you're in a relationship
• 4:18
  that
• 4:20
  you thought this person was going to
• 4:22
  marry you or they would be there forever
• 4:25
  only to find out that not only are
• 4:27
  they not doing that, but they are being
• 4:29
  abusive
• 4:31
  spiritually, mentally, and physically.
• 4:35
  Maybe
• 4:36
  you're in a friendship relationship
• 4:39
  and the person
• 4:41
  just always comes and never has anything positive
• 4:44
  to say,
• 4:46
  or you're trying to move forward spiritually and
• 4:48
  they don't have the faith to believe that
• 4:50
  God in you can take you where it
• 4:53
  is that God wants to.
• 4:56
  But the important thing to remember here is
• 4:59
  wherever you are,
• 5:01
  deliverance
• 5:03
  is not based on your power. That's that's
• 5:05
  what I wanna leave here,
• 5:07
  is that it's not based on your power,
• 5:10
  because if you could have done it, it
• 5:11
  would have been done by now.
• 5:14
  It's based on his.
• 5:16
  When he tells us to cast our cares
• 5:19
  upon him because he cares for us, it's
• 5:21
  because he already knows
• 5:23
  and knew before we were created the
• 5:25
  problems and the challenges that we were going
• 5:27
  to be facing, and that we would need
• 5:30
  him to get us through it.
• 5:32
  Now,
• 5:33
  you may be asking, well, God, why did
• 5:35
  you even allow us to to go through
• 5:37
  it?
• 5:38
  Well, that's a topic for another day, but
• 5:42
  just,
• 5:44
  let's just put it under its life.
• 5:48
  But let's remember also that when you and
• 5:52
  I cry out,
• 5:53
  God hears us. He's our father.
• 5:58
  He cares about us,
• 6:00
  and like a good parent, he's gonna reach
• 6:03
  up and restore us and keep us close
• 6:05
  and give us the wisdom and the guidance
• 6:07
  that we need.
• 6:09
  Now, for those of you who may not
• 6:11
  have had a healthy
• 6:13
  parental experience,
• 6:15
  I pray that
• 6:17
  God would come in and restore your heart
• 6:19
  and heal those broken places.
• 6:21
  But also remember
• 6:23
  that God is not like man.
• 6:25
  He is the perfect parent, and he is
• 6:27
  actually the template to which a parent should
• 6:31
  follow
• 6:32
  and adhere to.
• 6:34
  And when we don't,
• 6:36
  then there's negative consequence to that.
• 6:40
  So remember,
• 6:42
  when you are feeling broken or even if
• 6:45
  you're feeling broken right now,
• 6:47
  know that God wants to draw you near.
• 6:51
  He says, come to me, all of you
• 6:53
  who are burdened and heavy laden, and I
• 6:56
  will give you rest.
• 6:59
  Know that you don't have to feel trapped.
• 7:02
  Why?
• 7:03
  Because God
• 7:05
  has promised
• 7:06
  deliverance, and Jesus has promised
• 7:10
  that when you trust him,
• 7:12
  he's the way, the truth, and the life.
• 7:20
