- 2:01[SPEAKER_03]: But we're all in here, but we're all in there.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_03]: We all keep each other up.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_03]: We're putting each other down depending on the time.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_03]: But it's a good time for everybody involved.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_03]: So if you if you're interested in something like that, you need some people to commiserate with from across the globe.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_03]: It's join the dogs dot com to come to official talk back member.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_03]: So another tough one today guys losing 23 to nine.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_03]: It's so many bad things in this game, which we'll get into, we've got some voice meals to get to.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, the glaring issue is the offense, only scored nine points, three field goals, but I don't think, despite the final score of only being 23, I don't think the defense played that well.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_03]: obviously the special teams are always a little bit of a roller coaster with this team in terms of coverage.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_03]: We got lucky that there was a blindside block on one of those punt returns.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_03]: I do think the the ruffing the kicker call was bogus.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_03]: I don't necessarily think that on the special teams even the
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: was his jean stare tour, whatever he said.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_03]: He thought it was, you know, should have been not a penalty.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_03]: So I'll give him a little bit of a pass on that one, you know, you're trying to get home, you're trying to block the plant.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_03]: The guy's blocking you into him and they still call the flag.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_03]: So I thought that was a little bit bushelig, but
- 3:15[SPEAKER_03]: Just not a great showing for the Browns.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't really think outside of Andre Schmidt making his kicks really by anybody.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I really thought that the defense would be better.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know why I thought that because it was on the road.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_03]: And again, I know a lot of people are going like, what is he talking about with the defense?
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: We know the offense is bad.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, everybody knows that and the I know that we only give up 23 points, but time of possession like they they ran the ball right on our throats from the word jump some people were getting on me in the discord about That you guys just and you said the same thing your text in me right now.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, right from the word Between the tackles we're like a sieve it looks like a Joe wood's defense between the tackles yep we can't we can't stop the run all of a sudden People are which then opens up the past we didn't sack Aaron Rogers 41 years old or whatever
- 4:08[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 4:09[SPEAKER_03]: Like it just I did I just didn't think it was a great showing out of the defense as a whole We it was a little bit bed, but don't break.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously we don't give up 23 points But I just figured it would be more dominant.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_03]: I thought we'd get home on Rogers I thought we'd stop the run.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_03]: They're not a great running team.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_03]: It just I don't know.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_03]: I thought
- 4:29[SPEAKER_03]: I thought the defense could have played better from the word go.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_03]: Like people were talking about how they were worn out.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_03]: We had the ball.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_03]: We had the ball, uh, maybe more than them.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_03]: And we ran more place than them.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_06]: 17 was a place in them.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_03]: We ran 17 more plays in the time of possession was extremely close.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_06]: And that's they had it for three more minutes total.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_03]: Three more minutes.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_03]: So I mean pretty even though that's the base they could drive.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_06]: But they got like the the last what three and a half minutes of the game basically just to run down the clock all the way to zero.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_06]: So.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's a thing.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_03]: People on our socials have commented a couple of times like defense is just tired because they're on the field so long and if you go look statistically, the Browns have won the time of possession or been extremely close in almost every single game.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so I'm just going through the stats here between the two teams.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_06]: The Browns had one more first down today than the Steelers.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_06]: We had 21st downs.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_06]: They had 19, they gifted us four first downs from penalty.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_06]: And we only gave them one.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_06]: So like there's a little difference there.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_06]: It's not like we were just, now the offense isn't great by any stretch.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_06]: And we do not sustain long drives.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_06]: but it's not as drastic as I think people wanna think it is.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll say to some people in here saying, you're blaming, I'm not blaming the defense.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_03]: I just thought it would be a more dominant performance you know, once we got to the red zone, we tightened up.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_03]: I just didn't think they would have the success moving the ball between the 20s like they did.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_03]: Like they just,
- 6:05[SPEAKER_03]: we couldn't get off the field until we got into the red zone then it's like we buttoned up and we'd hold them to a field goal.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not blaming the defense.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, the offense was the issue with the team.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_03]: I know that, you know, I'm not blind.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you know, I did the preview show on Thursday with the discord.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_06]: If you guys want to be part of those dog back discord live shows where you could come up and talk and ask questions and all that kind of stuff with us, join thedogs.com.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_06]: I talked about like this is a road game for the defense and this is very similar to 2023 when we were in elite defense at home.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_06]: On the road we were what like 27th or 28th in a lot of cattle like we were bad bad on the road and we're doing it again this year where our home games which we haven't had very many have been good.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_06]: Our defense has been really really stellar.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_06]: The road games is where we're getting killed.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_06]: It's where the ravens are
- 6:56[SPEAKER_06]: Dicing us up.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_06]: It's where the lions just did whatever they wanted to.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_06]: It's where this kind of stuff happens.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_06]: You know, um, in the row game last week, I know it was home technically and you know against Minnesota, but it was a road game.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_06]: We were in London.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_06]: We're not home.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_06]: So that's a road game defense.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_06]: You're not blaming the defense.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_06]: I think everybody's to blame.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_06]: I think, yeah, you can whoever you want to blame, you're right.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_06]: And like, I don't really care where you want to lay blame.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_06]: You're right.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_06]: This goes all around, this everywhere, within the organization, the team, the players, you know, we usually do like our manly bands, manly is performance the week.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_06]: I got nobody, and nobody's from the team.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_07]: That's a good thing.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_06]: That's a good thing.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_06]: That's a good thing.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, guys, I was ready to get rid of after one week.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_06]: I'm glad they didn't.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_06]: I will admit I was wrong.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_06]: I'm glad they held patients with him, but my goodness, this team.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: let's just start to show off real quick on a bright spot.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_03]: We have a kicker right now who obviously struggles in week one and since then it's only missed one kick.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_03]: He's been a nice bright spot for the Brown Special Team's unit so we got to give him that.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_08]: And Cory B too.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_08]: Cory, I've got Cory at a nice game again.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that one punt that wasn't like a 20% Yeah, that one was bad boy.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, hey, we're you're allowed to get one of those when you're the second best player, you know, that week on the team.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I agree with you guys though, as far as like phases like across all three phases.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_08]: You know, you have Cory and you have Andre that did good, but like, I'm very nervous about coverage on kickoffs.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_08]: The offense is man, I don't it's it's stuff to even start on it.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_08]: There's so many different things that are going wrong and then the defense like we talked about.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_08]: I feel like for the first four weeks, we were able to absolutely shut down stud running backs for the most part.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_08]: Other than the maybe Gibbs in Detroit, the last two weeks has been pretty much get what you want up the middle of them today, just the tight ends from Pittsburgh absolutely killed us.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_08]: They were, they exposed us.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_08]: Washington was a beast today for them.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_08]: And that's our elite defense that we're talking about.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_08]: The ones that, hey, put it on our back.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_08]: I came into the game curious to see what the vibe would be of the defense.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_08]: You just traded away one of the bigger culture guys on your team as far as like a hype man.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_08]: You know what I mean, and news some.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_08]: Just overnight, I literally went to bed.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_08]: Didn't even know he got traded.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_08]: So I woke up for work at 3.30 in the morning.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm like, well, that's crazy.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_08]: That sends a big message on what direction we're heading towards.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_08]: You know what I mean?
- 9:26[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, not, not what we would like to see.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_03]: It was tough.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_03]: Like we, I guess we can talk about Miles comments real quick a look after the game as we're kind of touching on the defense.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_03]: What did you guys think of the comments?
- 9:45[SPEAKER_03]: Because I know what my thoughts were.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_03]: What do you say Josh?
- 9:49[SPEAKER_03]: You got the quote.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know exactly how the quote he said.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_06]: He was asked about or says something like losing the same way week after week is.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_06]: What did you say?
- 9:59[SPEAKER_06]: He was frustrating.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_06]: He said they asked him like something about the losing or this or that and he just said, Yep.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_06]: And it's like.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_08]: I even saw another one there like what, you know, like they were talking about TJ a lot and like, you know, the defensive line for Pittsburgh and they're like, you know, you're up.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_08]: They're up to touchdowns.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_08]: They're just putting yours back.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_08]: You know, we, you know, that must be, I don't even know the exact thing.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_08]: You just say I like must be nice.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm like, bro, you're the, you're basically the franchise.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_08]: You're the face of the franchise right now.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_06]: What he meant was like, it must be nice to be up by two touchdowns.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_08]: I know exactly what he's saying.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_08]: It's just like,
- 10:37[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, here's what drives me nuts about that.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_03]: He likes to talk like he's a leader.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_03]: So you have two choices in this situation.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_03]: You can be a guy who becomes like a locker room, like cancer, not cancer, but like spreading division, or you can be a guy who galvanizes and says, yeah, you know what?
- 10:58[SPEAKER_03]: the offense isn't playing right now.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's our job is to number one defenses the league.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to win every game three nothing.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_03]: That's our mentality.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_03]: We don't quit just because we give up a touchdown.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to go out, we'll force a turnover, we'll score on defense.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_03]: We'll fight away to win the game.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_03]: Instead, it must be nice.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_03]: That it just annoys me.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_03]: He's supposed to be your guy.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you know, and I see a lot of the comments on social media and I can't disagree with people.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_06]: They're like, brother, this is what you knew this.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_06]: Like, you signed up for this.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_06]: You came out during the off season said, this team is garbage.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_06]: We're heading nowhere.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_06]: There's no winning in the future for this team.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_06]: I want out of here.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_06]: Then they put a nice dollar, you know, total in front of you and you signed the contract.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_06]: You're here.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_06]: So that's kind of on you at this point, like you can be pissed off about the way the team's performing just like we are, but you sign the contract to be a part of it.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_06]: I can't tell you.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_06]: You can't tell me this got, there's like blind sight at him.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_03]: Be a part of the solution.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_03]: You don't know anything like that's what I want to say.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_03]: This is three games in a row now.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_03]: You don't have a sack, right?
- 12:02[SPEAKER_03]: That your defense that you're the leader of, gave up a game winning touchdown last week.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_03]: So, be, take on, like I said, I've seen these elite defenses out there.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_03]: We've watched the Steelers defense carry them to 500 seasons the last 15 years.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: with duck hodges, because their defense doesn't give up if the other team scores a point, they go out and they force the strip sack and they score themselves and then they win late on the force in a turn.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_03]: That's the mentality you want to see.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_03]: I call our defense front runners.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_03]: when they come out early and they get the sack and they're playing in front of the home crowd everything's great everybody's hyped everybody we're the best defense in the world you get them on the road and the other team completes a pass at the beginning or the offense has a turnover that they go into a shell they just give up they're this is this is why I've had such a big issue
- 12:51[SPEAKER_06]: with, excuse me, with this losing culture.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_06]: And I did a video in Justin was joking about it before you came in here, Blake.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_06]: But I said like, this team sucks and the suck is infectious.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_06]: And it's forcing every component of the team to suck.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_06]: You got guys that can't catch passes.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_06]: You got guys that can't block you, guys that can't run, can't throw.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_06]: And it's just, it's a culture thing.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_06]: And does, does Miles comments here kind of open the door
- 13:22[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe we're losing the locker room here a little bit.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_06]: If you got your highest paid player, you're obviously your best player in your team out here publicly saying these things, what's being said in that locker room?
- 13:32[SPEAKER_06]: And like just said, they just traded away new some.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_06]: A guy that everybody liked, you know, Denza Awards that he was, you know, all that hurts or whatever.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_06]: I forget the comment.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_08]: Well, you said he cried.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if he was being serious, but I mean, you know, like, I know they really are like, yeah, I mean, they played next to each other hand, basically, for the last four, what, five years?
- 13:52[SPEAKER_06]: Almost five years, yeah.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's my piece on the defense in terms of, like, again, don't take this the wrong way and like, I'm not coming out here and saying, we lost because the defense.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm just saying, like, I want to see them take, I just want to see them be mentally tougher.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_03]: Like, don't give up just, you know what I mean?
- 14:12[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, there's no point.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_03]: That's a, no, go be, go be part of the solution.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, the offense can't do it, then we're going to do it.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_03]: And obviously, that's not, I don't think you're going to win 12 football games that way.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_03]: But maybe you win five, you know what I mean?
- 14:25[SPEAKER_03]: And you, like, you're the elite unit.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_03]: Like, don't, don't come out there and then, and then pout because the offense, we know the offense is bad.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_03]: So you take some ownership, go out there and perform, take it, do your job.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_03]: I would argue they haven't done, they haven't done their job as well as they could the last two to three weeks.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_08]: Everybody crowned Green Bay after a couple of weeks and said, this is a team that will be in the Super Bowl, there's nobody in the NFC that can compete with them and then they came into our building and the defense literally pretty much won that game.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_08]: for us.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I mean, there's obviously the offense had to make a few plays, but the defense won that game for us.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_08]: And like you're saying, you're not going to win 12 games that way, but we won that game that way.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_08]: And that was a shocking win.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_08]: Nobody gave us a chance and held a come through in that game.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_08]: And that was one of the funnest, yeah, one of the funnest games I've ever been at.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_08]: But I'm just saying like that's especially with how the offense is, if we're going to get any more wins at any point this season.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_08]: that defense has to be absolutely elite.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_08]: They had a chance last week.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_08]: We talked about it.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_08]: We had to win in every game.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_08]: We've been in literally every game this year.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_03]: We had to win.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_03]: We had to have a whole lot of elite defense on the field with a chance to win it last week and we lost.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_03]: You can't call yourself, you can't be elite if you lose a minute.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_06]: And that's why it's like a whole team thing.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_06]: It's just, nobody's doing what they need to do.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_06]: This episode is sponsored by Southern New Hampshire University.

- 16:36[SPEAKER_06]: Did you guys want to do anything else before I get to Brad's voicemail for how we were going to play that quick?
- 16:40[SPEAKER_03]: No, go ahead, because I think it would be transition to the offense.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_03]: So, they're definitely stuff in here about that.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't, didn't,
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: fifty times just to move the ball anywhere and seven or eight of those passes should have been intercepted um you know doing Gabriel is okay but pretty mid Kevin is a pretty mid coach I'm sorry whatever coach the year yeah whatever joke uh Jim Swartz
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's okay, but a pretty mid defensive coach as well.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: Why are silver coach needs to be fired?
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: Special team coach needs to be fired.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: Andrew Barry still doesn't know how to find talent.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_02]: And here we are now down multiple people hurt.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: So here we go.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, another week of suffering wanted to gouge my eyes out with this team and suffering the rest of the season probably doing that way.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_02]: So here we go.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: Weee!
- 17:56[SPEAKER_02]: on to more suffering.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go around.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: I guess.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: Woo, roof, roof.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_06]: That was very positive.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_06]: Very open.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_06]: It's a waste mail.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_06]: I respect much more.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_06]: Spoiler alert.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_06]: I don't have a positive one to play.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I'm not shocked.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not shocked by that at all, brother.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_03]: I did that.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_03]: I had a comment I wanted to get to from our new YouTube member.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_03]: Here it is.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_03]: Um, it said something like, like, everybody else, we weren't expecting the offense to be this bad this year.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_03]: And this is what I'm going to say to that.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_03]: We had basically one of the worst offenses of all time last year.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_03]: What did we add to this year to make you think it would be better?
- 18:39[SPEAKER_08]: So, just to argue this point, and it's even an argument, I think that we were all kind of on a pipe dream that Flacco coming back could change things.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_03]: The often, we tried to do that, you guys, the not to do that.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_08]: I know.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_08]: But offensively scheming, like the offensive line would be better, even though we added legitimately, really, nothing to it.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_08]: And we're already down to way worse than we were last year on the offensive line, which is our huge, it's a glare, I don't even know if I can watch
- 19:06[SPEAKER_08]: whoever's back there like the people that want should or Sanders to play.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_08]: I don't even know if I want should or Sanders to play because I'm like the what you will see from that performance will not be a reflective of what that kid is capable of because the offensive line is so dog shit and cannot do anything.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_08]: It's a turn it literally is just hey let me put a couple hands on a guy and then they go buy and just whoever's back there is screwed they're fighting for their life.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_08]: I don't
- 19:31[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think you get a proper evaluation of anybody.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_08]: I feel like I have a proper evaluation of building Gabriel after some games, but it's bad.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_08]: It's so thinking bad.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_08]: I think we had a lot of pipe dreams.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_08]: We figured the defense would pull us to a lot of wins.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_08]: And ultimately, all those things were not true.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_08]: We were completely fooled, whether you believe them or not, we got duped big time.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a mouse in your pocket?
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: Because at least me.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_03]: I remember I think we had this exact conversation with Josh where he said he said something about like you didn't see any way which the offense could be worse than last year and I was like I think it's good that it possibly could be worse.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_03]: Especially once we thought quinceon wasn't going to be playing.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 20:13[SPEAKER_03]: We didn't add anybody.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_03]: Any value.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_03]: What we added a two year older Joe Flacco from the one in the last time we had him.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_03]: A Joe Flacco wasn't good last year and we added no wide receivers to a huge mistake.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_03]: We added failure.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_03]: We added no tackle.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_03]: How many times in the offseason do we say you can't count on Duan Jones to be your tackle?
- 20:37[SPEAKER_03]: how long did he last?
- 20:38[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 20:39[SPEAKER_03]: Jack Concon can't stay on the field.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_03]: He's off the field again.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, at the beginning of this game, we had played 11 different combinations on the offensive line so far this year.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm pretty sure by the end when came Robinson got hurt, we were now at our 12th different combination.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I get all the people screaming about the offense.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_03]: Football is a game one and lost at the line of scrimmage.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_03]: It's a tale as old as time.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_03]: You can have all the skill players in the world.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't have a line, you will not be successful on either side.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns' offensive line is terrible.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_03]: it is awful.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_03]: And then you couple that with the fact that your number one wide receiver is Jerry Judy.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_03]: I can't say enough bad things about Jerry Judy.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_03]: And I made this comment in the I made this comment in
- 21:36[SPEAKER_03]: the discord today at one point as a duty might be having his best game of the year so far any still awful.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_03]: He hurt us more than he helped us in the first half.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_03]: Terrible man drops his terrible penalties like we get a roughing the pastor call but it's conveniently he like what was he doing?
- 21:54[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't the ball was so poorly thrown.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't stop it.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_03]: You could stop it in reception by like I don't know coming back to the ball, batting at the ball, trying to make a play on the ball.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_03]: You literally just grabbed the guy by the waist and threw him out of bounds.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, and then you had the stupid personal file penalty you had drops.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_03]: The guy that's that's who we're and then who's our number two?
- 22:12[SPEAKER_03]: Is today.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_03]: Jumari thrash.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_03]: Guys Jumari if we cut Jumari thrash right now does he get signed by another team?
- 22:19[SPEAKER_06]: No
- 22:20[SPEAKER_03]: We're he's going out there and getting meaningful snaps for us.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_06]: Well, maybe the number two was Isaiah Bond, and he tried to catch the ball with his helmet today.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, at least he, you know, he tried.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_03]: And here's the thing, I'm not, I don't want to, I'm not giving him a pass.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_03]: But Isaiah Bond is an undrafted rookie.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 22:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but there's almost like two.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_06]: It's like a quick slam, man.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_03]: Look at there's nothing bad.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's not crazy to think, to like, for rookie mistakes to happen with undrafted for agent rookies, who weren't even on the team and camp.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_03]: And we shouldn't be in a position where we have to ask this guy to be a wide receiver too for us.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we had a wide receiver too, but he couldn't get his head on straight and we cut him.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_08]: Remember that guy?
- 23:01[SPEAKER_08]: Beyond T. Johnson, we brought him in.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_08]: That was the solution to fixing all the offensive problems.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_06]: So there's not another wide receiver too.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_06]: Can't stay on the freaking field ever.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_03]: I've completely forgotten about him.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_03]: I might as well, that's my pushback to the people who are like, the offense shouldn't be this bad.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_03]: It was this bad last year and we did nothing to make it better.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_03]: In fact, we maybe got worse.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_03]: Personnel-wise, you added Judkins, and who's great, and then you added Fanon, a third round Titan, and you're banking on those guys to save your offense.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_03]: You're not going to be good.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_03]: You're not going to be good.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_03]: I am way more concerned with the fact that the offensive roster
- 23:44[SPEAKER_03]: since 2020.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_03]: If you go, I was looking at so much stuff this week with back in 2020 when AB got here.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_03]: We had a healthy baker.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_03]: We had Jarvis O'Dell, David and Jokew, Nick Chub, and Cream Hunt.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_03]: Go look at the offensive person now every single year since then.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_03]: It just gradually got worse and you're too, gradually worse and you're three.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_03]: And now, if you compare this roster to like some of the worst brownsteams of all time, they're comparable.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_03]: This, this offensive roster is it, nobody, nobody would win games with this.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody would put up points with this.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm not like people were all about like it's the scheme or the scheme can be better.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_03]: I 100% think the scheme can be better.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying it's perfect and we'd be the Lions if.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_03]: Um, if we had better players, like there's room to be better there, but we saw the offense be explosive with one wide receiver in a two year younger Joe Flacco.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_03]: That's all it took for this offense to throw for 300 yards a game.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_03]: Was one wide receiver in a quarterback that just played okay.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_03]: We don't even have that right now.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_03]: We don't even have that.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I mean, this kind of goes back to what Justin was saying to you and you're talking about the line.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I think there's a lot of Shador Sanders fans in the chat if I'm kind of skimming through correctly.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_06]: Guys, if you like Shador Sanders, you probably don't want him to play right now.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_06]: Dylan Gabriel is your best, best option beyond the field because he can be your sacrificial lamb.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_06]: If you're a Shador Sanders guy,
- 25:20[SPEAKER_06]: The Dylan's Gabriel, they made it through the ball 52 times a day.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_06]: We haven't really talked about that yet.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_06]: What is it doing?
- 25:26[SPEAKER_06]: It's a kid's second start, 52 times, and I saw this stat.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_06]: He had four completions that were over 10 yards in the air, four out of 52 freaking throws.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_06]: It was all check downs, Dink and Dunk.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_06]: And he got sex six times.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_06]: How many times do you think should doorstanders are going to get a sack?
- 25:45[SPEAKER_06]: Especially like you said, like now there's no concle.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_06]: And now there's no camera.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_06]: I'm saying it's going to be KT Leveston.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_06]: It's going to be Cornelius Lucas.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_06]: And it happens to any heart interior.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_06]: Zack Zitzer can't even be active.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_06]: He sucks that bad.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_08]: And it'll be ten Jenkins.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_08]: Which we don't even, you know, a guy that he's kind of a journeyman former first round guy, right?
- 26:04[SPEAKER_06]: That was a second.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_08]: What a thing.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_08]: But I'm, okay, but I mean,
- 26:09[SPEAKER_08]: It's a lot, it's a lot to bank on, you know what I mean?
- 26:14[SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk DG a little bit.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_03]: So you know what today reminded me of what I kind of touched on this just a second ago.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_03]: Today's offense reminded me of 2023 when the line was banged up.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_03]: Nick Chub was hurt.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_03]: We had, all we had was drum-forward.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_03]: We had like
- 26:31[SPEAKER_03]: got centers playing guard and stuff like that by the end of the year, and teams would just sell out to stop the run.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_03]: And just we were just throwing.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_03]: What was the two big, I just touched on it.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_03]: The only difference is we had a Mario Cooper and we had a two year younger Joe Flacco.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_03]: That's what this reminded me of.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_03]: We threw the ball 52 times, which is insane.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_03]: When JJ watched that on the broadcast, I was like, wait, what he's throwing the ball 50 times?
- 26:57[SPEAKER_03]: It caught me off
- 27:00[SPEAKER_03]: They were selling out to stop the run.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_03]: If we, you guys are, people were freaking out about the time of possession.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_03]: If we were to just kept, we would have had the ball never.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_03]: It would've been three now every single time.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_03]: They were selling out to stop the run.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_03]: Here, we have to be able to complete some passes down field.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_03]: Dylan, yes.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_03]: Dylan Gabriel, in my opinion, there's just, I'm not saying he's the worst quarterback in the NFL.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying, I think he is what he is.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_03]: He's too small.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_03]: His deep balls sale.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_03]: Like he does not look.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he was athletic.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_03]: He looks slow.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_03]: He does not look athletic.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_03]: He does, there's nothing extra.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_03]: There's no juice.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'm at the point now where I, I would just put shudurin and like you guys said, he's going to run around.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_03]: We're probably going to like have some awful plays.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to have some 20 yard losses with him running around.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to take some sex.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_03]: But if that comes with pushing the ball down
- 27:55[SPEAKER_03]: just do it.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know like we're this is this will be the offense with Dylan Gabriel that's this is what's going to be.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_03]: You have we had to be at least the right in the defense deep.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_06]: This is who Kevin wanted though.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_06]: That's the thing like this is this is Kevin's guy and I just I get so frustrated watching it because
- 28:15[SPEAKER_06]: You know, a lot of times we feel like, oh, they're trying to stick a, you know, square, peg, no round hole, and all this stuff.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_06]: Not now, this is who, he was handpicked by this regime as the number two guy on their draft board.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_06]: And I got either loved what I said the other day or people crucified me for saying it, talking about Jackson Dart, sorry.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_06]: We like Jackson Dart on this show.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_06]: They evaluated Jackson Dart and said, now, Dylan Gabriel's higher on our board than Jackson Dart.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_08]: I told you guys earlier, I'm very just confused with the philosophy.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_08]: Like, you know what I mean?
- 28:46[SPEAKER_08]: As far as just with Dilling Gabriel, because you drafted him in the third round.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_08]: Use a valuable pick.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_08]: I picked it right now, God, I would love to see a wide receiver or offensive linemen be involved with that pick.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_08]: You know what I mean?
- 28:59[SPEAKER_08]: Especially if they, what you heard out of it was, we viewed him as like a career backup kind of guy, you know, and it's like, I just don't understand what we're doing.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_08]: Then the problem too, like Blake,
- 29:11[SPEAKER_08]: They we have to pretty much abandon the run because basically all the short passes are they're all like at the line of skirmish or two years I feel it's a run play every fucking play.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_08]: We're there's nothing so go ahead and put everybody in the box And then guess what when you don't and you drop a couple guys back That's why you're seeing damn near five or six interceptions is because I don't want to say say I'm garbled seeing ghosts But the guy is very short.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_08]: He he almost he pretty much knocked
- 29:41[SPEAKER_08]: half of our past catchers out of the game today.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I'm aware of another hospital balls.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my, it was crazy.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_08]: It was, it's just, and I, like I told you guys, I'm, I'm, I'm okay.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_08]: I'm ready to see shit or, but my thing is I'm like, I guess, I'm worried because I don't want it to destroy his confidence.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_08]: I think he's a very confident guy.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_08]: And I think he can, he can do some things.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_08]: If he believes himself and he's ready and all that, I love that.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_08]: And I would love to see him go out there and play hero ball,
- 30:11[SPEAKER_08]: how much your ball you can pull off and with what we're trying to do and what we have out there.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_06]: Especially with the line.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_06]: Well, and the receivers here are ball with what you're okay.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_06]: So you make a nice play and you throw the ball to Harold fan and why it opened down the field.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_06]: Fucking drops it.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_06]: Jerry Judy hit him in the chest.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_06]: He's going to drop it.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_06]: David and Joku drop it.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_06]: It's got suck.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what it is.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_06]: So what's should door going to do?
- 30:34[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I'm with you guys.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_06]: I'd love to see him, but I'm also apprehensive like.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_06]: We're just going to destroy him.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_06]: We're already destroying Dylan.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_06]: Like, that's what we're watching happen.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_08]: It's like the team has all, you know, like the team is getting destroyed.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_08]: We talk about like Marvin Harrison Jr.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_08]: having a little bit of the yips.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_08]: It's like the whole team has yips.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
- 30:55[SPEAKER_08]: It's like everybody's just, yeah.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_06]: And Browns fans are like, we're like, Cleveland's were quarterbacks go to die.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_06]: We ruin every quarterbacks career.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_06]: That's why I'm saying like, you're watching it, right now?
- 31:04[SPEAKER_06]: That's what we're doing to Dylan Gabriel.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_06]: He's the next on the list.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_06]: You're watching us ruin him with how, what we're doing around him, how we're handling the situation.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_06]: And the thing is, we went into Pittsburgh today.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_06]: Those are the only two quarterbacks on the roster two rookies.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_06]: That's what they thought was a good idea.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_03]: Like, if you guys, if we want to criticize, like, if that's, we can criticize talent evaluation.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like, so many, so many people want to just put it on the scheme.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_03]: If the scheme is not ready to, but if you go watch, like, we have guys open.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying we're running the best offensive scheme in the world, but there's guys open.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_03]: but they drop it we don't see them because our quarterbacks five five you know how many times we didn't we didn't add a serviceable tackle we as three dumbass podcast hosts all off season said cannot count on DeWan Jones to be your tackle he didn't even make it out of the first quarter of the season both both of our starting tackles were coming off major knee surgeries both of them yes and we just were like yeah we trust it trust the process
- 32:10[SPEAKER_03]: And so part of this, it's either because they just didn't think it was going to be an issue, which I just, I really hope that's not it, or it's because they know this is going to be a multi-year thing.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_03]: They're all on the same page.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_03]: You couldn't address every whole in one single off season.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_03]: And until basically the discharming thing is done, this is just what it's going to be.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_03]: and it sucks for us.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_03]: But I get the sense they're all in the same page.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Jimmy hasn't basically said it in the pre-season.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_03]: This is a multi-year thing.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_03]: We all made his decision to get to Sean.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_03]: So now we all got to get out of it.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_03]: Unless the locker room becomes blatant.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_03]: Like you're talking, I'm talking, end of the year.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_03]: People are talking trash in the media.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_03]: There's leaks, there's fights in the locker room.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_03]: Like everybody's back.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody's back because once the I said this in the discord day, once the dissoned deal fell apart, the window closed.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_03]: Not in didn't fall apart.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_03]: Once it became clear that disson wasn't good.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_03]: Our window that we thought we were in no longer existed.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_03]: It now became about opening up a new window.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_03]: And that's that's what we hope this most recent draft classes the start of, but most until unless you
- 33:30[SPEAKER_03]: the window your windows are going to be fully open until you have a quarterback and until we see Shador as of now we don't have it because Joe Flacco wasn't the quarterback and I truly don't think Dylan Gabriel's a quarterback but it's also going to be super tough to evaluate.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think Shador has the highest ceiling out of any of the quarterbacks out that have been on the roster this year but it is going to be crazy tough to evaluate him with this offensive line and these wide receivers.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_06]: For me and I've said this before like my biggest worry is
- 33:57[SPEAKER_06]: whether or not this whole regime, I'm talking to everybody and talking to a front office, coaching staff, everybody.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_06]: Can they actually evaluate, identify and develop offensive talent?
- 34:08[SPEAKER_06]: So far, they haven't.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_06]: And we keep talking about, get out from under the Deshawn Watson deal as if these guys worked the ones that did that.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_06]: And I know back then, we were all excited about it.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_06]: We were like, hey, great move.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_06]: but we're also fans.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_06]: They had all the information.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_06]: They've got all the connections within the NFL.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_06]: They evaluated this and it blew up in their face.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_06]: And every decision they've made since then has been a bad decision.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_06]: Like, they can't even get anybody competent.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_06]: If it wasn't for Joe Flagler coming in here, just chucking the ball all over the field in 2023 for a couple of games, we wouldn't want those games.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_06]: Like, they said DTR is good enough to be the backup.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_06]: They said Dilling Gabriel's or Guy.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_06]: All these decisions are bad.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_06]: They suck.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_03]: The at least with the disson thing.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like that's 16 teams wanted them.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_03]: So it's not like we were the only team we thought it was still good.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_03]: No, I told you I get that you know what I mean, but and I I will say this too and I was this is a huge project so like I don't even know if there's a way to do it out of just consuming my life, but once the Browns once once the Browns traded for disson so we we traded Baker.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, that was our starting quarterback.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_03]: And then we traded four to shine or signed to Sean.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_03]: The Sean was now supposed to be the franchise's starting quarterback.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_03]: And I looked at this.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_03]: We have played in the entire time he's been here now to Sean has played in, if you don't count the Colts because he played like three games that year, or three snaps that year.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_03]: He's played in 18 games.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_03]: The other 53-year, 55 games or whatever like that, since we've made the move to go to to Sean, we have played with a backup quarterback.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_03]: There's not many NFL teams who go on playoff runs or any good if they have to start a backup quarterback.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_03]: Every quarterback that has stepped on the field, not named to Sean Watson, since we signed to Sean, has been this franchise's backup quarterback.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_03]: And we're playing an, we're operating an offense with a backup quarterback.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_03]: Some teams can get good quarterback play out of backups.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_03]: We have been one of them.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_03]: We got good play.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_03]: We got the best play of Jacobi for sets career in Cleveland.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_03]: We got the most relevant, best eight game stretch of Joe Flacco is last decade.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_03]: Kevin's defense is the only reason Joe Flack is still in the league.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_03]: If he wouldn't have had that run with the Browns in Kevin's defense in a married Cooper, Joe Flack would have been on the league two years ago.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_03]: He never would have got the state in Andy and then we never would have brought him back this year.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_03]: He would have been out of the NFL two years ago.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_03]: So, go show me the NFL teams that are just playing at a super high level on offense and going on playoff runs and being competitive, that are playing exclusively backup quarterbacks.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: And then, couple that with the fact that while you're playing your backup quarterbacks, you lost your franchise's best running back in Nick Chubb, you a Mario Cooper fell off of a cliff, you're now throwing to Jerry Judy and Jim Murray thrash.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_03]: So like some of these teams people are like, look how good Mac Jones is doing.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_03]: He's still got tr- Williams at left tackle.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_03]: He's still got CMC in the backfield.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_03]: We got KT-Levast in it left tackle and we're thrown to Jamari Thresh.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_03]: Like there's a difference there.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_06]: So it's like- Well, I'm worried about the value of the talent evaluation overall.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_06]: Like, because it's bad.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_06]: We just have not put anybody worth a damn in any of these spots.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_08]: And I don't know if we would have hit on him anyway, but I think that losing the picks at the time, we were like, the picks are irrelevant.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_08]: He will elevate, Watson will elevate the rest of the team, correct?
- 37:37[SPEAKER_08]: I think right now you're seeing the loss of those, you know, get reinvigorating this roster with some young talent every year.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, look, just, I'm, and it's very early, but just look what just on this draft, you know what I mean?
- 37:50[SPEAKER_08]: Just like, I know it's really rough, but Judkins, he looks like he's gonna be nice.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_08]: with him.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_08]: I like Fanon.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_08]: I know he had a tough couple moments today, but I think for the most bar fan, it looks like he's a dude.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_08]: He's a dude.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_08]: He could be an elite weapon on our team.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_08]: Swesinger is nice, you know, but also goes back to the idea that during his draft, we were going, why are we taking defensive guys?
- 38:14[SPEAKER_08]: Our offense is in shambles.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_08]: We need an alpha.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_08]: We need an
- 38:25[SPEAKER_08]: Or, you know what I mean?
- 38:26[SPEAKER_08]: And just the offensive line, it's just, it's very frustrating.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_08]: Like, and then we get to watch it weekend and week out.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_03]: I want to Kenny Mackin here.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_03]: He said we, uh, good point.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_03]: We thought D.W.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_03]: would attract for agents.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_03]: Also.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, clearly not happening.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 38:47[SPEAKER_06]: Like we, we were misled about a lot of things too.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_06]: so we got some more voicemails let's hit the very real quick and then when we come back we will get to uh... next voicemail and then we got the vontay after that

- 40:34[SPEAKER_05]: Yep, this is me.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, let's make from San Diego.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_05]: Game still on, but I need to say this now.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_05]: It is completely laughable with the browser going on offense.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_05]: 57 passes, 17 rushes.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_05]: There is no balance on the offense.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm watching other games, like Carolina,
- 40:55[SPEAKER_05]: the Saints, they're putting up points, they're putting up numbers, and I'm looking, and it's like, are we really that much worse than those two teams?
- 41:04[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think so, but it just seems like those two teams care a little bit more.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_05]: It's, and our field goals were within the red zone, like we can't score.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_05]: Like I'm looking at the score, 23 to nine.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_05]: Boswell Kickfield goes from 45-50 and we're kicking these short-yard range field goals and we can't we can't score touchdown.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_05]: This game will be completely different if we could score touchdowns or anything like that.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_05]: I have no idea what to do.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_05]: I'm happy the buck guy's won, everything like that, but it's like at some point we have to do something different.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what that different thing is, but it's just it's laughable.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_05]: I still watch because I'm a fan, but like come on guys, on to next week, go Browns.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_05]: Blue.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_08]: He's right, he's right about the red zone.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_08]: We are over three today.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_08]: You know what I mean, we couldn't get the ball.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_08]: We couldn't get the ball in the end zone.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, shout out to Mick.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_03]: I love having collars in from all the way across the country.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_03]: And he's been calling consistently now, so we appreciate that the thing we kind of touched on this earlier with all the rushing attempts compared to the passing attempts, they're selling out to stop the run.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_03]: All these little check-down, that's basically our run game today.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_03]: So like, I know it was 57 pass attempts, but it's not like it was, it's not like he was throwing 20 yard bombs, 57 times.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, how many of them were just check-downs, screens, like, that was basically an extension of the run game.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_03]: They were selling out the stop the run.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_03]: Like I said, we would have been, it would have been,
- 42:35[SPEAKER_03]: one yard, two yards, one yard punt, every single drive, if we just would have kept forcing running the ball.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we've ran the ball pretty consistently like all season.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_03]: This is the first time where we got behind and it became obvious we weren't going to run the ball and we started just kind of dinking and dunking our way down the field instead.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_03]: When you don't have a dude, it's kind of tough in the red zone.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_03]: Also, when you have a five foot, five quarterback, it's going to be tough in the red zone.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_03]: I guess the bit, like we've mentioned, the bigger issue is the fact like that that's the quarterback that they evaluated and won it.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_03]: And it's a little bit more passable to me because they didn't take them in the first round.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like they took them at number two overall with they waited till the third round.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_03]: So if he doesn't hit, you know, it's not that big of a deal, he's a third round pick.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_03]: There were other quarterbacks on the board.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_03]: Now, there only seems to be like one who's really playing like pretty decent, and that's Jackson Dart.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_03]: To everybody's screaming about the offense, you guys remember in this draft, too.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_03]: We said, we didn't want to pick a defensive player.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_03]: At one point, we said, every single pick in this draft should be offense.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_03]: That should tell you what we thought that the offense was gonna be like.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_03]: We didn't do that.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: So we, I don't know, it's just, it's one of those things where,
- 43:55[SPEAKER_03]: Things can be better schematically, things can whatever, but until you address the issues up front, until you catch the ball, like at some point, it's a players league.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_03]: Players got to play, players got to make plays, and we don't have the good enough players to make plays.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and that's why I'm like, I'm just kind of done with the front office, like Andrew, like, this is the roster you assembled.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_06]: I'm good, man.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_06]: Like, somebody else can do better than this.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_06]: For sure, we could do better than this.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_03]: We all said the biggest issue though is if you move on, the next guy's gonna have to deal with the same stuff in terms of the salary capacity.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I know, and that's where Andrew Barry's kind of dug his, you know, claws in, if you will, and made it to be like, we really can't move on from even though I'm not very good at it.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_06]: acquiring, you know, good talent or evaluating the talent is not, you know, we harp on Andrew Barry.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_06]: He's just the leader of the thing.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_06]: You got your scouting department who I don't know what's wrong with them, you know, who's in the scouting department that's not doing their job very well and all this other stuff.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_06]: There's other decision makers in the front office, not just Andrew Barry, but he's just the main one.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_06]: But collectively, they have dismantled the roster and left it in shambles.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_03]: on one side of the ball.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, they were able to build a very good defense.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_06]: But that gets you four wins in 25 games.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_08]: Do you guys, this is my thing, I would say with the Browns like the last five years.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_08]: I feel like after every year, if finishes and we go, man, we just have a huge glaring hole at this position group or this unit.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_08]: And I feel like we've been chasing that pipe dream for years now.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_08]: Every year, it's well, man, we're not that great at linebacker.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_08]: Let's figure out linebacker.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_08]: All right, well, now we're not good at,
- 45:37[SPEAKER_08]: whatever it is, you know, whether it's an edge or whatever, the line.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_08]: I just feel like every year we kind of chase this pipe dream where we're a position in group away from being relevant again.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_08]: And I look, I watch and I'm like, we're a multiple position groups away right now from being, you know what I mean?
- 45:57[SPEAKER_08]: Like I look at our line and I look at a bunch of old guys that can't get in here.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean,
- 46:04[SPEAKER_08]: I think we need serious, like, major talent at Y receiver.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_08]: We are terribly lacking there, quarterback.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not even sure because we have no talent at Y receiver or offensive line.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_08]: So, you know, and it goes this, this way since I was, like, literally 13.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_08]: Defensive would be good one year.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_08]: Then they, you know, the offense is,
- 46:28[SPEAKER_08]: address and then the defense sucks.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_08]: It's been like this my whole damn life.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_08]: So I like to me this is not shocking, but it's just like damn can we figure it out?
- 46:37[SPEAKER_08]: I'm tired of paying to watch the Browns or sit down and watch the Browns, they should be paying us.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_08]: It's agonizing to watch this crap and then the worst part is and we laughed about this before the show.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_08]: We have to watch, I go to like high school football games have a great time.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_08]: You know, every Friday night, go to a high school football game Saturday.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_08]: We get to be blessed that we get Ohio State football and great college games.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_08]: We go to all this talent.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_08]: Then one of the clock comes around and I get to watch the Browns.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm just so damn disappointed every time.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_08]: And then of course the four or clock games I get to watch from West Coast teams with just, that's just fun to watch.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_08]: And it's just,
- 47:12[SPEAKER_08]: It's annoying.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_08]: It's super annoying.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_08]: It's frustrating.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_08]: At some point, can we figure it out?
- 47:18[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to die before I'm going to see it to see this team do anything relevant other than the first round exit or pass that maybe a second round.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, so many here said a good quarterback can make a huge impact in a difference.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_03]: I agree clear.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, why receive or tackles.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_03]: We got to address, but we got to help.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think Dylan Gabriel's the guy.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_03]: Honestly, um, we got to hope it's should door is.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_03]: We all have high hopes for him, but you saw like Jackson starts playing well so far.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_03]: We're not crowning him or anything, but he's it looks like he's got some juice in the when I was watching him the other day on Thursday night.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_03]: What I, I notice is like,
- 47:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's not even necessarily that he's playing perfect, you know, just through had three turnovers against the Saints the week before.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_03]: But he's got some juice.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_03]: He does, he does some things, and I kept saying this right now we have nothing in, we haven't had anything in a long time, basically my whole life, but I'll go back to like healthy baker year.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_03]: We have nothing at the quarterback position that gives you anything outside of the X's and O's.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like somebody, I think Trent Dilfer always used to say, who can play beyond the X's and O's?
- 48:25[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe we're in a bad play, the quarterback makes up for it with a great throw or a scramble.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe the left tackle gets beat, it's okay, the quarterback shrugs them off, finds time makes a big time throw.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have that.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_03]: We have Dylan Gabriel's a guy who can play only and he can very limitedly play only in the structure of the offense.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_03]: There's no juice.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_03]: There's nothing extra.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_03]: He supposed to be athletic.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_03]: Man, he does not look athletic.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be honest, he just looks way too small to be on an NFL football field.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_03]: He looks
- 48:54[SPEAKER_03]: tiny.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_03]: And it looks like it affects him in a huge way.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_03]: So I do think quarterback is obviously we got to help Shador can be some juice.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_03]: I hope he can come in and that necessarily be perfect.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_03]: Be like a little Jackson Dartish.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe you missed the guy on the read, but you got some juice and you make up for it with a scramble.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_03]: You know, things that can get us by until we get you more caught up to speed that kind of thing.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm ready for the Shador thing because here's
- 49:23[SPEAKER_03]: This offense that we saw today, it's going to be the offense we see next week.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why everybody's like every single Sunday, people are... I'm telling you right now, it's going to be bad again next week, so just prepare yourself.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_08]: What I know we're not a Giants podcast.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_08]: The thing that's also frustrating is you turn that Thursday night game on and you go No Malik neighbors.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_08]: No Darious Slating, you know This dude's out here ball and Ali's throwing a little Jordan Humphrey's He's on the practice ground for Denver.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_08]: The only reason I know that is because we're running dinosaur leagues out here Where there's like 25 friggin roster spots and you might have to pick that dude up and hope a couple guys get hurt I
- 50:04[SPEAKER_08]: I want that for the Browns.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_08]: I want some guy to come in and elevate it.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_03]: Where would one Dale Robinson be in terms of wide receiver on our team?
- 50:14[SPEAKER_03]: One.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_03]: He would be that's that's a huge issue.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_03]: And I think one Dale Robinson's like a solid NFL wide receiver.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, but he's not a one and he would clearly be our one.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, the thing with Dart and again, I know not a Giants podcast, but we watched the games and we did all the the pre draft stuff like I watched so much tape on these quarterbacks.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_06]: I want and I'm just like you said like just a stupid podcaster and I saw things on Jackson, Dart film, I'm like, and I told I was a friend of the drama to tell you guys he's going in the front of the drum, he's going in the front of the big time.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_06]: And we talked about, like the Browns come away with the evaluation and say, that's our guy.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_06]: Then you take him at two and who cares what anybody says or you trade with the Jaguars and take him at five or whatever, trade back up and get him if he's your guy.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_06]: The Browns went on dates with every single one of these quarterbacks and Dylan Gabriel is the one that they came away saying, that's the one we want to be in a relationship with.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_06]: Not these other guys, not Jackson darting, and then I go out there and I watch him making freaking throws.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_06]: Pro level NFL throws.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_06]: And like you said, he's not perfect.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_06]: This is third start.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_06]: He's a rookie, but he's shown throws on the field.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_06]: I'm like, that is what a franchise quarterback does.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_06]: He's got the makings for it.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_06]: You don't see that with Dylan.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_06]: We'll see if we can see it with Shador.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_06]: But it just pisses me off that that is that was their evaluation.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_06]: But this
- 51:34[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, it says the Mr. B said we're not addressing the biggest issue.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_03]: O line.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe you're just late getting out.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_03]: We did it.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_03]: If the issue, brother, I'm with you a hundred percent terrible.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_03]: No, you're good.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_03]: Do we have another voice mail?
- 51:51[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we do.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_06]: This is Devante.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: For those who's Devante here.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_01]: Same here.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: Well, look, my daughter on my lap.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: Nine points.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: I said in the discord, we'll be lucky to be even get to 12.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_01]: 9 points.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_01]: Why does Kevin stuff answer me still have a job?
- 52:07[SPEAKER_01]: Just, just what?
- 52:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care about the safety, I don't care about safety players, just gonna go for, why does he have a job?
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: If you were a boss and out of...
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: 25 projects that determine financial gain, we only got back four.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: You were fired that person.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: So, why does Kevin Stephensky have a job?
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not saying that short for being any better, but it's production, production matters.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: But hey, it's Cleveland.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: It snows rain, sleets, hails, has a tornado on the one day.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's Ohio.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: She's just the rest of the year,
- 52:47[SPEAKER_08]: Very positive voicemail.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_08]: Say it about that.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_06]: The very depressing one for the last.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_03]: Here's my pushback.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_03]: I know people are waiting.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't mention, at least I don't remember, before the beginning of this year.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_03]: Not one time did he say we should fire Kevin before this season.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_03]: Now one time, I didn't hear really anybody saying that.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_03]: The Kevin should be fired before the season, or at the end of last year.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_03]: Then the scheduled came out and we all said we're going to be oh and ate at the buy.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_03]: Still, nobody said we should fire Kevin.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody thought we were going to be oh and ate at the buy.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_03]: And I didn't hear we're going to be oh and ate the buy.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_03]: We should fire Kevin.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_03]: Then we come out and we have technically, I know this sucks, but we have technically exceeded expectations by not being oh and ate at the buy.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_03]: and I'm hearing fire the coach.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_03]: You all, if you thought Kevin was the reason we were losing now and not because how bad the personnel is, you should have been screaming to fire Kevin in the off season.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_03]: Because as we've been at Agnazim in this episode, the offensive tackles in this line is terrible.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_03]: These wide receivers are terrible.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_03]: So for the quarterback play, we have is terrible.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_03]: And next year, bring back to the same roster, and we'll be Super Bowl bound.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_06]: Well, so I know like the Monte and the Chad, I'm sure you guys are waiting for it.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_06]: I did not say to fire Kevin before the season or after last season.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_06]: I should have.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_06]: I'm saying it now.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_06]: Fire Kevin.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_06]: I was thinking about this earlier, though.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_06]: Like, so we went into the season with low expectations.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_06]: It's kind of like today.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_06]: I did the preview show on Thursday saying, we're not going to win.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I know we're going to lose the game.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_06]: but it's different experiencing it and watching how it happens.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_06]: Like when you watch the team look unprepared, undisciplined, like they don't know what they're doing, and poorly coached over and over and over, it's like, okay, I've had enough.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_06]: And I know I'm not the only one.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_03]: We've improved in so many areas in terms of looking prepared.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_03]: Our penalties are way down.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_03]: Our penalties are, despite the fact that we're playing like 13 rookies, penalties are way down this year, way down.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_03]: That's just a fact.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_03]: Good look it up.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_03]: And then again, we're playing, and that's with playing double-digit rookies,
- 55:18[SPEAKER_03]: So, like, what about us looks unprepared?
- 55:23[SPEAKER_06]: Dude, they don't look like they know what they're doing out there.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_06]: I've watched Jake Burns film Breakdowns last week it was in Joker.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_06]: It was the veteran, like the veteran line teller.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_06]: These guys, they're out there with their hands up.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_06]: They don't know what they're doing.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_06]: They're doing the wrong reads.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_06]: They're blocking the wrong guy.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_06]: it.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_06]: You can defend the coaching that's fine, and if you like Kevin, I've told people this.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_06]: I get it.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not, I don't blame anybody.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_06]: I just, I'm done with it.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_06]: I'm done?
- 55:47[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want it anymore.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_06]: At some point, the record has to speak for itself.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, right, he's been to the playoffs twice and he's been to the playoffs 40% of his time here.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_06]: You always say it's a what have you done for me lately, though.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_03]: Man, he's coaching.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_03]: He's coaching with two hands and a foot behind his back.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_06]: Well, then let somebody else do it.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_06]: See if they can do better.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_03]: They wouldn't.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_03]: And if you fire the two time coach of the year, I think that's how to deal with this.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_06]: He got carrying on that by Joe Flacco, just as much as he.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_06]: He.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_03]: No, he carried Joe Flacco.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_03]: You.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_03]: He.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_03]: Joe Flacco carried him.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, break bro.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_03]: Joe Flacco.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_06]: We're going to roll in games during that stretch without Joe Flacco.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_03]: Joe.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Joe Flacco had to deal with it.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_06]: And they were going to win in those games and make the playoffs.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_03]: He also won a game with DTR that year.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_03]: He won a game with PJ Walker that year.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_03]: I knew it.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_03]: I knew it.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_03]: I knew it.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_03]: A new piece of locker is coming on him.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's my goal.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about it.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_03]: That's my goal.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about it.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_06]: It was such a, so slim.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_06]: We should have lost to the course.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_06]: We should have lost 49ers.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_06]: We talked about it all the time.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_06]: We got lucky.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_06]: That is false.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's my aunt had ball.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_03]: She'd be my uncle.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_03]: We won.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just saying we will hide winning by be getting lucky or however you want to define it back then Man doesn't change that we're not the whole league is about getting breaks.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_03]: Who can stay healthy?
- 57:05[SPEAKER_03]: Who gets come on chat all that come on chat?
- 57:08[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, of course that the people who can't think objectively fire Gavin bring it on Honestly, so I I at this point I'm so used to being right I can't wait I hope he gets fired and we win no games again next year
- 57:22[SPEAKER_08]: pretty much be no lives.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_08]: We're not going to do things next year anyway.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_08]: Here's the thing.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_08]: Here's the thing at the end of the day.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think it honestly matters because both of them look like guys that are just super comfortable.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_08]: They don't think that no matter what the consequences are, I don't think that they're getting fired.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_08]: I think that they've got a handshake deal that, oh, hey, we goofed up, which,
- 57:43[SPEAKER_08]: It starts from the top with just accountability with the ownership.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_08]: Don't metal in the deals if you don't want to be with it and don't deal with the consequences of actions with the Watson trading stuff like that.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_08]: That's where I'm at.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_08]: The thing that's frustrating at the end of the day is like, There won't be a change.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_08]: whether it's A, B, whether you like what A, B's doing and you think he's cooking or not, there won't be a change there and there won't be a change ahead coach.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_08]: And it is probably two years, honestly, I won't be shocked if it'd be up until the new stadium.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not even kidding, I think that literally they're just preparing for a new stadium deal.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_08]: That's all it is.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_08]: They are building up a big show for when they unveil the new dome.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_08]: That's all it is.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_08]: We're probably gonna watch Shitty Football for the next three years so that they have a good product when they roll their stadium out.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_06]: You're right, man.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_06]: They put more work and effort into that dude wipes brown helmet reveal than they did get in this team ready to go this season.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_08]: That's just, at the end of the day, whether you like Kevin or you don't like Kevin, I think Kevin probably still has the locker room.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_08]: I really do, but when I, when I watch him go through the press conference, it's just going through the motions.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_08]: And I know it's coach speaking all that, but it's just like man.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_08]: we got to do better just isn't doing it for me.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_08]: What's he supposed to say?
- 58:59[SPEAKER_08]: What would do it for you?
- 59:01[SPEAKER_08]: Well, hey, go and talk to your general manager and say, hey, I think we need to address some weaknesses at the offensive line.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_08]: I think we need to go with it.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_08]: I'm saying, well, no, I'm just saying.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_08]: If that, if that's so.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_08]: It's a job, no, do you go to your boss and tell your boss what to do?
- 59:15[SPEAKER_08]: No, I'm not, that's not what it is.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_08]: So are they all in one collective unit moving in one vision?
- 59:20[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, but at the end of the day, the first on the other side of the yard, yeah, and the other.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I know.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_08]: And that's part of the deal.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_08]: And that's why you have, hey, I screwed up.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_08]: We took a swing a mess on Watson.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_08]: Like if if that was Kevin's guy was I don't we don't think that Watson was ever Kevin's guy correct What if they would that so that's my point.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_03]: You're just making my point ownership's involved He wasn't Kevin's guy, but Kevin's got to take the fall I'm not saying Kevin has to take the fall.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_08]: I'm saying that at you have zero accountability with basically the front office For two years for this year and not even last year last year was rough and we went off
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_08]: it is what it is we suck and then at the end of the year we are shocked at miles gear it didn't want to be here and we can say all well miles Garrett didn't show up the last three weeks and all that but when miles Garrett said hey I want the hell out of here I'm not on board with losing every freaking year I want to be on board with championships and stuff like that we went whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa miles hold on you know let's let's pump the brakes here let's try to figure this out let's turn the culture on I just feel like just accepting just a loser mentality every just week after week

- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_06]: He's got him.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_06]: We got him Dylan's his quarterback.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, he is.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_06]: Don't tell me no, they said number two on their board.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_03]: Number two on his in maybe in quarterbacks, but not overall.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't take him in the first.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not saying I'm not saying overall.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_06]: I'm saying he was Kevin's quarterback.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_06]: You don't think so.
- 1:02:41[UNKNOWN]: No.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_08]: Well, they're saying the positional value.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_08]: I think they like cam ward.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_08]: And they get they weren't getting cam ward.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_08]: And then they went.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_08]: But that's the thing is like at the end of the day, like you're saying, the scouting department, they said, okay, well, if Gabriel's number two on the board, they overlook some things.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_06]: They could have had dark.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_06]: I don't keep people can say where they want.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_06]: That's the fact.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_06]: It's a fact.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_06]: I like dark a lot in the process.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_06]: Now, maybe should Orcum's out here and change his mind because maybe he's got it.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_06]: I do think he has it to work with.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_06]: That's fair.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_03]: See the guy in the middle must be Kevin's cousin's friend.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_03]: Nope.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_03]: In fact, I wanted them to hire offensive coordinators the last couple of years.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but I just also, like, there isn't a coach in the league that would do well with this team.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_03]: And it's current predicament.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_03]: And I came into this season, knowing we weren't going to be good, because we don't have any good players.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_03]: And this season is about, do we look?
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_03]: make sure the wheels don't come off.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_03]: Make sure the rookies get ready.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_03]: This is a multi-year rebuild people.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_03]: Jimmy told you that in the pre-season.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_03]: Whenever whenever the Sean didn't work out
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_03]: It was done.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_03]: It was going to take two to three to four years to get back to being in a competitive window again.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_03]: We had to go from, we went from an old roster to one of the younger rosters.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_03]: We have to inject this team with youth.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_03]: We have to get younger.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_03]: And then that, you don't do that all in one season.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_03]: We, again, we can talk about the draft.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_03]: I agree, like if Darts ends up being good, it looks bad that you passed on them.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_03]: But at the end of the day, we still had a super good draft this year.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_06]: We think we did, like I said, just a little bit from Dylan.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_03]: No, but that one's different.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_03]: Quinschon, Judd, Kings and Carson, Schweschen, you're in Mason, Graham, and Harold Finn in and all these games.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_06]: But it gives us a multi-year rebuild thing doesn't sit well with me when last year we had however many seven draft picks in 2024 and not one of them is currently contributing on the field.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_06]: Not one.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_03]: No, again, I didn't say you could have a trash like this year, but we're not talking about that.
- 1:05:07[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we're not talking about last year.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_03]: I'm saying I don't understand the people who knew that we didn't have any good offensive players, who knew that team wasn't going to be good and who knew we were in a rebuild, being mad that we're not good and in a rebuild.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_06]: I think some of us don't have a tired of losing them.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_03]: We don't like it.
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_03]: The owner of the team just be realistic, though.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_03]: Just be realistic.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_03]: But I still have to like it.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and I still don't think I don't think that I've told you this.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_06]: And this is where we disagree and everything.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't think Kevin's the guy to ever get this team where we want to be.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care who I don't care who the quarterback is.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_06]: It might push back on those next year and my push back here in that tackle.
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_03]: My push back on that is I've never, ever, ever, ever, ever heard you once say that.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_06]: In fact, you've loved this because I've changed my mind, Blake.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a little bit busy with this year, but my point then is then this year.
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_03]: What made you change your mind watching this team on the field?
- 1:05:57[SPEAKER_03]: I've this off with this with the worst with the worst players.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_03]: This is what makes you change your mind.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_06]: You didn't change your mind last year, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:06:31[SPEAKER_03]: We're literally one calendar year away from when they're going to play else.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_06]: I'm done.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_06]: But I know, like I said, if you're not, I get it.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_06]: I just am.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_03]: That's fine.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_03]: I just think you're what you're making your decision on is basically worthless logic.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_03]: For in 21.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_06]: That's not worthless.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_06]: That's softness.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_03]: It is.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_03]: Because look at what he's been dealt with.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_03]: Please, I'm just telling you, what coach, why the coach and the lead can do this and keep his job.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_06]: And from the coach, what we're seeing gets to do this.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_03]: Tell me the coach, tell me the coach that has been super good with backup quarterbacks in the last four years, five years.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_03]: What coach are they?
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_06]: I don't have a list because they don't exist.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_03]: They don't exist.
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, because they all get fired.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_06]: Like he should be.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_03]: They don't exist.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_03]: So we should do what all the other bad franchises are doing.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, because they don't have to see the worse.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_03]: So if they're bad, they're still better than us.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_03]: Instead of root cause fixing, that's just band-aid fix.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's just going to the same thing we've always done.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yep, give rid of these guys.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_03]: Good job for the record.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_03]: I'm usually right so I'll see you guys next year on when we're winning games.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_06]: Hopefully I told you guys.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to be right about this Well, I don't have to you don't have to worry about it.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_03]: You're not.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, well, that's good.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_03]: So next year we're gonna go play off Oh, I think we'll at least be I said this is what I said we'll go five on Cala you asked me last week how long does Kevin have?
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_03]: And this is what I said in the Discord today.
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_03]: Give me an actual NFL wide receiver and give me two actual NFL tackles.
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_03]: And next year, by week four, we still can't score 20 points.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be right here with you screaming that he should be gone.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm not going to evaluate my coach who's got 12 different starting offensive line positions so far this year.
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_03]: No NFL wide receiver on his team and playing with a 40 year old Joe Flack, I'll start the year in a third round rookie quarterback.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to say what I'm going to base.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_03]: That's not what I'm going to base my evaluation on.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_06]: What other offensive had coach in the league ends up with no offensive talent on the his side of the ball?
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_06]: Like, there's got to be a disconnect there between him and like, why are you loading up my defense and giving me jack squat on offense then?
- 1:08:36[SPEAKER_03]: Well, because if you remember, the offense carried us first three years in Joe Woods's defense was terrible.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_03]: We had no defensive line and we had no linebackers.
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_03]: The offense is what carried.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_03]: But then we swung him missed for Deshawn for the offense and then when that didn't hit, then everything king crumbling down.
- 1:08:54[SPEAKER_03]: Just that's why this offense carried us first three years here.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, it doesn't mean you get, but they just don't, I don't know, man.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_06]: Whatever.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_06]: I've done my work.
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_03]: You don't even have to record every week.
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to the same.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_03]: But it's every week.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_03]: Just go back and look, the offense carried us first three years.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_03]: Then they swung a mess for Deshawn.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_03]: It didn't work out.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_03]: Now he's coaching exclusively with backup quarterbacks.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_03]: We have no money to infuse the roster with any kind of talent.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_03]: And now you get stuck coaching basically what
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_08]: My fear is just my just facts my fear is that we've been looking for a franchise quarterback for 30 years There's a serious chance or probably not going to get one in the next two years man Then it doesn't matter who the coach is Because unless you have one you're not winning Well, get ready for these Firestafanski comments every week because it's
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_06]: This is bad.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_06]: This is bad.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_06]: And I don't disagree.
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_06]: The personnel is terrible, but I also don't believe in the coach anymore either, like both things to me are bad.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just a lot of basing it on.
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's the last time we had one NFL wide receiver.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_03]: We went to the playoffs.
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_06]: Can we, can we all agree that we need to fire Chatochet?
- 1:10:11[SPEAKER_06]: Can we just get a new wide receiver coach?
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_06]: Why the hell's that he's the only one that's been here since 2020?
- 1:10:18[SPEAKER_06]: That's fair.
- 1:10:18[SPEAKER_06]: It's the worst, worst position group on the team, every year it seems like or at least the one that never develops, we draft these guys, nothing ever happens with them, ever.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_08]: It's fair, either we don't know how to draft them when we can't acquire them because we don't have the picks or the salary type.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_03]: Not having three first round draft picks definitely hurts.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_03]: And then, I mean, and then drafting anything shorts.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_06]: What do you guys think of, well, Campbell, Tyson Campbell today?
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_06]: I thought it started on Goodman.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_06]: One day of practice or one?
- 1:11:01[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I thought it was, I mean, do you think they should have started them?
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, he got there what Thursday.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_08]: Thursday was his first practice.
- 1:11:08[SPEAKER_08]: And then, I mean, if it was Friday, it was Friday.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, yeah, if Joe Flacco can start at quarterback for the Bengals this week, then he can start at corner for us.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_06]: I guess on the same kind of notice, I mean, it was either him or Miles Harden, right, or Dom Jones.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think I thought it was fine.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_03]: I thought I saw comment in here that said, they thought, which I agreed with is said, they thought he played pretty well.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_03]: Like, anybody can get burnt by DK one time.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_03]: That's DK Metcalf.
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he held his own, did play pretty well.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_03]: I was, it's not like I was like, what did we do?
- 1:11:39[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you seem like you fit into the defense.
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_06]: New some gave up.
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_06]: What was it?
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_06]: 61 year touchdown in Jacksonville today?
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_06]: to inject but not see that yeah yeah yeah yeah so talking about a guy that had like a I guess mediocre rookie season and that was it then it just he just had a path he just had to have a path and then yeah that's true the path cleared
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_08]: Speaking of, okay, right in Seattle, right.
- 1:12:08[SPEAKER_08]: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, you call it all the transition last year.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_06]: And I think we kind of go on the whole show without mentioning a future Hall of Famer.
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I think we said his name maybe once at the beginning, but I mean, Aaron Rogers looked like just, he is better and quarterback that just knows how to play the game today.
- 1:12:24[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we didn't sack him.
- 1:12:26[SPEAKER_06]: There was a couple of times where we could have, but he just kind of got the ball away at the right moment.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_06]: Did it enough?
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 1:12:34[SPEAKER_06]: He had some nice throws too, but like- Well, this Steelers being four and one and everybody else is under 500 in the division.
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_06]: Who had that on their bingo card for the year?
- 1:12:42[SPEAKER_03]: I should have.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_06]: Ravens are what one and five now?
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_06]: Yep, just like us.
- 1:12:51[SPEAKER_03]: They should fire their coach.
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_03]: Dan says, Blake, if you are wrong next year, will you admit you are wrong?
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't seem like it.
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_03]: So the whole combo is pointless.
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_03]: I admit when I'm wrong, literally all the time on this show.
- 1:13:04[SPEAKER_03]: A couple of years back, I said that the raiders were going to win the division when they got
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_03]: car in Devante Adams in a couple of other guys.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_03]: I said watch out for the readers this year.
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_03]: That was terrible.
- 1:13:15[SPEAKER_03]: Um, what else did I was I wrong about?
- 1:13:17[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I thought the Sean was going to be awesome.
- 1:13:19[SPEAKER_03]: I was wrong about that.
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_03]: I thought beef was going to be out of the league when we got rid of him.
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_03]: I was super close to being right about that.
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_03]: Now it turns out.
- 1:13:28[SPEAKER_08]: Very wrong also.
- 1:13:30[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 1:13:31[SPEAKER_03]: I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's just I'm right a lot.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_03]: So, and it sucks because we're in a long, until I'm proven wrong, I'm not going to say I'm wrong.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_06]: Well, then I feel like I'm right though, because we're in the midst of, we had no matter, no matter, no matter, no matter.
- 1:13:50[SPEAKER_08]: We're going to find out in three years.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_08]: Like I said, Andrew Barry, it's when they move out of Andrew Barry.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_03]: I posed this question and I'll pose it to you guys, and if, if the reason we're losing his coaching,
- 1:14:03[SPEAKER_06]: We don't have the only reason, but I'm saying it's, the coaching's bad, too.
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_06]: I just told you your question, I'm sorry.
- 1:14:12[SPEAKER_03]: Just say, if then you're, then you're fine with the risk bringing this team back.
- 1:14:17[SPEAKER_03]: We have better cut, or don't beat silly.
- 1:14:19[SPEAKER_06]: Blake's boss is if the course we're not okay with bringing this roster back.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_03]: Well, then the, everything needs change.
- 1:14:26[SPEAKER_03]: So if, if we didn't change this roster and we had a different coach, would we have two wins now, three wins, four wins, five wins,
- 1:14:34[SPEAKER_06]: Dude, I don't know how many wins we would have because we I don't even know who that coach would be the point is pick your favorite no the point is after the season they need all new talent they need to get new players on offense I just believe they need to get a new coaching staff with those players that's all that's
- 1:14:53[SPEAKER_03]: The way I can see is like I said earlier in the show, if it just becomes like we're not competing from the word jump, we're getting blown out by four-year-old game, people are fighting on the field.
- 1:15:09[SPEAKER_06]: Well, keep it in the small block room after Miles said his stuff today.
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_03]: If there's leaks, if you start because like historically with this team, there's not leaks with this front office, that kind of thing.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_03]: It's pretty tight-lipped.
- 1:15:21[SPEAKER_03]: If you start seeing leaks, players only meetings in the locker room, all that kind of, okay.
- 1:15:27[SPEAKER_03]: Then I'll start being like, okay, then maybe it's time to make a change.
- 1:15:30[SPEAKER_03]: But in penalties, shoot way back up.
- 1:15:33[SPEAKER_03]: We start having 12, 15 penalties, a game, all pretty snap penalties.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_03]: Like you're talking about being unprepared, but we almost never have pre-snap penalties anymore.
- 1:15:43[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't keep lining up and Illegal formations, which that one drives me nuts that the league average in penalties in a game is five to seven And I think every single game we've been it in that except for last week and four or five of our penalties were on levistin Okay Pay attention Pay attention in the trade deadline Because if they move if they move chief out of here
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_08]: a huge culture guy.
- 1:16:11[SPEAKER_08]: Newsom's already gone.
- 1:16:13[SPEAKER_08]: You're talking about trading away of Joel Batonio, who's just been in Cleveland, probably going to get a jacket.
- 1:16:19[SPEAKER_08]: Teller, I mean, obviously those two last two, the play has been down, but like those are veteran locker room guys.
- 1:16:30[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see how, let's see how up it is, because I'm
- 1:16:35[SPEAKER_08]: We love to hear, right?
- 1:16:36[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we have.
- 1:16:36[SPEAKER_08]: The Shelby Harris is another guy.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_08]: Those are all your energy guys, like as far as like, I don't know.
- 1:16:45[SPEAKER_08]: I feel like obviously it makes sense to do those things because we're not going anywhere.
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_08]: We're, I mean, we all think that it's probably pretty much a wrap on the year correct.
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:16:56[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know how it does it go downhill.
- 1:16:59[SPEAKER_08]: That's that's my worry.
- 1:17:01[SPEAKER_06]: But I guess, I mean, I know you guys talked about the mention this earlier.
- 1:17:04[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, if they're trading away new some and these guys, it's not a retail.
- 1:17:10[SPEAKER_08]: It's a regime that's not a retail.
- 1:17:12[SPEAKER_08]: It's not a retail.
- 1:17:13[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 1:17:13[SPEAKER_06]: It's a rebuild, but it's a regime that knows that they're going to be in charge of that rebuild, or at least has some assurances.
- 1:17:19[SPEAKER_03]: I truly don't think, like I said, unless it goes way off,
- 1:17:25[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's understood everybody in that building knew what this year was going to be.
- 1:17:29[SPEAKER_03]: It seems like the only people who didn't know were fans, even though some of us didn't know.
- 1:17:33[SPEAKER_06]: No, we knew it was going to be bad.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_06]: It's just like I said, it's just different watching it.
- 1:17:37[SPEAKER_06]: It's just when you're going to.
- 1:17:39[SPEAKER_06]: It's easier to look at it at something.
- 1:17:42[SPEAKER_06]: Oh yeah, this won't be that bad.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_06]: And then you go through, you're like, yeah, this freaking sucks.
- 1:17:46[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I'm just like an overly objective person, but I just watch these games and think whatever.
- 1:17:51[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you said you're dead inside.
- 1:17:53[SPEAKER_03]: Fan and looks good.
- 1:17:54[SPEAKER_03]: Kunchan Jenkins looks good.
- 1:17:57[SPEAKER_03]: Defense plays hard.
- 1:17:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so like penalties are down.
- 1:18:02[SPEAKER_03]: That's all I care about.
- 1:18:03[SPEAKER_03]: We're not getting wins.
- 1:18:05[SPEAKER_03]: We have one more win than I thought we were going to get all season.
- 1:18:07[SPEAKER_03]: So that's where I am on the Browns.
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_03]: It's almost calf season.
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_06]: this is true.
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_03]: Play calls are tired and boring can't throw past 10 year.
- 1:18:22[SPEAKER_03]: Get throw past 10 yards.
- 1:18:23[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like isn't the offensive play calling.
- 1:18:25[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like it's the quarterback and the wide receivers and the offensive tackle.
- 1:18:30[SPEAKER_03]: The offensive tackle situation.
- 1:18:32[SPEAKER_03]: Hard to throw the ball down field and your quarterback short.
- 1:18:35[SPEAKER_03]: Hard to throw the ball down the field when you don't have any time.
- 1:18:37[SPEAKER_03]: Hard to throw the ball down field and nobody's open.
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_03]: Like, if anybody remembers not that long ago, when we had a Mario Cooper and Joe Flacco, we threw bombs literally, every play, we had no run game.
- 1:18:49[SPEAKER_03]: It was just Joe Flacco, throwing bombs all game.
- 1:18:52[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't think the offensive scheme is that they can dunk at just think that's just all we can do.
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_06]: But we also said a million times that that Joe Flacco stretch was not sustainable over the course of an entire season.
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_06]: Like you can't just what have been it.
- 1:19:05[SPEAKER_03]: It would have been a famous thing.
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_03]: He would have thrown for 60 touchdowns and 50 interceptions in 8,000 yards.
- 1:19:14[SPEAKER_06]: Which today was the first time in Joe Flacco's last.
- 1:19:17[SPEAKER_06]: Gosh, I forget how many games that he didn't throw in interception.
- 1:19:21[SPEAKER_06]: And he threw two touchdowns for the bangles.
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_06]: Two touchdowns for the Browns and four games.
- 1:19:27[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, look who he's throwing too.
- 1:19:35[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think so.
