- 0:02Speaker 1: I brought a Dungeons since we don't have a Brad
- 0:06Speaker 1: Dungees this morning, I brought a.
- 0:10Speaker 2: What's your name again?
- 0:13Speaker 3: It's William Dungeons.
- 0:14Speaker 2: William, come on, man.
- 0:16Speaker 3: William has been a part of the family.
- 0:18Speaker 1: From I think I met William about the day after
- 0:23Speaker 1: he was born.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Done you a while?
- 0:29Speaker 1: So, yeah, welcome to the show, William. So this is
- 0:33Speaker 1: what your dad does every Thursday morning instead of playing golf.
- 0:36Speaker 3: I know, I've seen it a couple of times.
- 0:38Speaker 4: He's very excited to be here and have his podcast
- 0:42Speaker 4: and everything. So I've listened in quite a few times.
- 0:45Speaker 1: So William, Tom, just you should know that William just
- 0:51Speaker 1: rejoined Dungees Toyota. And what exactly is your position, William?
- 0:56Speaker 4: Yeah, now I'm a sales manager, just came back. I
- 0:59Speaker 4: do help with the finance side as well, So just
- 1:02Speaker 4: helping out there and doing what I can just about
- 1:05Speaker 4: everywhere at the dealership.
- 1:07Speaker 2: We're excited to have you back.
- 1:08Speaker 1: So William is Williams of Bartlesville Native and high school here, Yes.
- 1:17Speaker 4: Yeah, high school elementary, went to Saint John's and moved
- 1:21Speaker 4: to Central So been going to school here, went to
- 1:23Speaker 4: school here. My whole life except for college. Yeah, great,
- 1:27Speaker 4: great program.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I think they remember you at the high school from
- 1:31Speaker 1: your soccer playing.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, now I enjoyed you know, four years varsity
- 1:37Speaker 4: and playing goalkeeper.
- 1:39Speaker 3: You know, great program.
- 1:40Speaker 4: I think they from what I saw, went to the
- 1:43Speaker 4: semi finals this year, which is better than I ever did.
- 1:45Speaker 4: And you know, looks like they've really built up that
- 1:48Speaker 4: program since I was there, and I'm excited to see
- 1:52Speaker 4: that and you know, try to catch as many of
- 1:53Speaker 4: the games as I can.
- 1:54Speaker 1: So that that is great. And speaking of games, you know,
- 1:58Speaker 1: one thing that your family has been involved in since
- 2:02Speaker 1: nineteen forty one is the sponsorship of the baseball team
- 2:06Speaker 1: here and the newly renamed Dungeons Toyota Indians, and their
- 2:12Speaker 1: seasons about to get going.
- 2:15Speaker 2: It is going.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Oh I'm really kind of stoked about what they're going
- 2:20Speaker 1: to do this summer. And we definitely are going to
- 2:24Speaker 1: have to go out and catch a game or two
- 2:26Speaker 1: at you know, Dungeons Stadium.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Yeah, no, they should be good.
- 2:30Speaker 4: I had a lot of friends that played for that,
- 2:32Speaker 4: had a lot of baseball friends in high school, and
- 2:34Speaker 4: it's been a really nice team. It's a nice place
- 2:38Speaker 4: to go, you know, lots of my friends would go
- 2:40Speaker 4: sit at the baseball game and enjoy the popcorn they
- 2:42Speaker 4: have there. So I've always loved that stadium exactly. That
- 2:48Speaker 4: is so, you know, I'm curious. A lot of people graduate,
- 2:57Speaker 4: they go to college, and they leave town.
- 3:00Speaker 2: What is it? Uh? What is it about Bartlesviille? It
- 3:03Speaker 2: keeps bringing you back?
- 3:04Speaker 4: Well, you know, it's it's a really great community. It's
- 3:07Speaker 4: always has been, you know, lots of support. You know,
- 3:10Speaker 4: Bartlesville has you know, the Price Tower and Dungeon Stadium,
- 3:15Speaker 4: great food, Frank and Lola's.
- 3:17Speaker 3: I don't know, it's just something about the community here.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Everybody, you know, it's friendly together and they they kind
- 3:27Speaker 4: of just stick up. They're nice people. Similar to Tulsa,
- 3:30Speaker 4: but you get more of that community feeling here.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It definitely is it's a it's a Bartlesville is a
- 3:38Speaker 1: unique place. It's small enough that you know everybody, but
- 3:43Speaker 1: big enough that everything is here. And uh, yeah, I'm
- 3:48Speaker 1: glad that you're you're back in town.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Yeah, No, it's good to be back, you know, be
- 3:52Speaker 4: back with people that I grew up with.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, So are many of your classmates still here?
- 3:59Speaker 3: Not a time. I have a couple of classmates that
- 4:01Speaker 3: are still in town.
- 4:02Speaker 4: A couple moved off to you know, Oka, see a
- 4:06Speaker 4: couple in Tulsa. So they're all over the place, but
- 4:08Speaker 4: most are still here in Oklahoma.
- 4:10Speaker 2: That's that's good to hear.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm like that, people your age, we need you guys
- 4:19Speaker 1: to stay, We need the young blood.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I think I think we'll see a lot
- 4:24Speaker 4: of that in the coming years, at least here in Bartlesville.
- 4:26Speaker 4: I've seen a lot of the people from my grade
- 4:29Speaker 4: slowly moving back, and if they're not in Bartlesville currently,
- 4:32Speaker 4: I've talked to them about moving back eventually, and you know,
- 4:35Speaker 4: excited to be back and be in the same community
- 4:37Speaker 4: and create the same community that we saw growing up.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, and there are great opportunities here for people. Yeah.
- 4:44Speaker 2: So what exactly are you going to be doing at
- 4:47Speaker 2: the dealership?
- 4:48Speaker 4: Yeah, so, I'm basically just going to be there to
- 4:51Speaker 4: make sure everybody is getting the best experience possible. You know,
- 4:55Speaker 4: big thing at Dungeons is simplicity, you know, having that
- 4:59Speaker 4: easy the process of buying a car. It's a community
- 5:03Speaker 4: based dealership and so I really am just there to
- 5:06Speaker 4: try to help people get a good deal on a car,
- 5:09Speaker 4: make it really simple for them to get in and
- 5:10Speaker 4: out quickly, and uh, you know, being there if they
- 5:14Speaker 4: need support with anything, questions with their cars, you know,
- 5:17Speaker 4: getting a new car service.
- 5:19Speaker 1: I'm I'm there that it's it's definitely a customer service,
- 5:24Speaker 1: customer facing role, yes, as opposed to mine.
- 5:28Speaker 2: We're closet.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you get that a little back off as you.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Although I have seen you come out and talk to
- 5:36Speaker 4: a few customers before and you usually do a pretty
- 5:38Speaker 4: good job.
- 5:39Speaker 1: They tried to discourage me from interacting with other people. So,
- 5:45Speaker 1: you know, speaking of cars, we've we've got some some
- 5:49Speaker 1: good stuff on the lot and we've got some great
- 5:51Speaker 1: cars coming in. It done just Toyota. Are you familiar
- 5:56Speaker 1: with what's uh, what's in the pipeline?
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I haven't seen the pipeline too much.
- 6:00Speaker 4: I know we have plenty of Tacoma's as I assume
- 6:02Speaker 4: my dad talks about the Tacoma Capital of Oklahoma to always.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Have to coma capital of Oklahoma. Yeah.
- 6:09Speaker 4: And then my favorite car on the lot right now
- 6:12Speaker 4: has to be the TRD pro for Runner. I was
- 6:15Speaker 4: looking at it. I saw it for the first time yesterday.
- 6:18Speaker 4: It made me want to buy it. It is a
- 6:21Speaker 4: beautiful car. That is a good looking car, and so
- 6:24Speaker 4: we have that the Sequoia. We currently have a Platinum
- 6:27Speaker 4: Sequoia that is also just a nice three row, big vehicle.
- 6:31Speaker 4: And then you know, lots of wrap force.
- 6:33Speaker 2: You could put some to you could put some big
- 6:35Speaker 2: people in that Sequoia.
- 6:37Speaker 3: You know, I could pack that with. Yeah, that's what
- 6:40Speaker 3: my dad drives.
- 6:41Speaker 4: And I remember sitting in the back seat for the
- 6:43Speaker 4: first time and being like, I've never.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Had this much room in a second row of a vehicle.
- 6:48Speaker 3: So it's it is a big car.
- 6:52Speaker 2: I love it.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So we've got some great deals going back to the Tundra.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Toyota has some really wonderful and centers right now going
- 7:01Speaker 1: on the Tundra two point nine percent fine, two point
- 7:05Speaker 1: nine nine percent financing for seventy two months, which is.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Right now.
- 7:13Speaker 3: It's a long time, very very low.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and actually if you want to go between twenty
- 7:19Speaker 1: four and twenty four and forty eight months, you can
- 7:23Speaker 1: get financing as low as one point nine nine percent,
- 7:26Speaker 1: which definitely I haven't seen for a couple of things
- 7:29Speaker 1: since before that little cough hack hack thing that we had.
- 7:34Speaker 2: This thing, Oh my gosh. And then if you're not.
- 7:41Speaker 1: If you're not too interested in the financing on the Tundra,
- 7:46Speaker 1: we can get your three thousand dollars cash back from
- 7:49Speaker 1: Toyota as well as one thousand dollars trade assistance. No
- 7:56Speaker 1: matter whether you finance or purchase in cash, you're going
- 8:01Speaker 1: to be eligible for about a grand and Toyota trade assistance.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So it does make the Tondra this month really really attractive.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Yeah. No, if you got an older tun Drive, I
- 8:15Speaker 4: definitely think now is a great time to come in
- 8:18Speaker 4: look at trading that in for a new one. You
- 8:20Speaker 4: get those great rate incentives, and even if you are
- 8:23Speaker 4: looking at financing and you're looking at put in a
- 8:25Speaker 4: good amount down, you know, sometimes we can even get
- 8:28Speaker 4: you a really good rate and still get you that
- 8:31Speaker 4: rebate as well.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Well. I don't know whether you know this.
- 8:33Speaker 1: While while you were on your hiatus, I purchased a
- 8:37Speaker 1: Toyota Crown, a twenty five Crown and a nut Crown.
- 8:41Speaker 2: The I wanted the crownd I went for.
- 8:44Speaker 1: The Cross more in my price rate. But the twenty
- 8:48Speaker 1: five Cross great car. It's a small crossover. I'm getting
- 8:55Speaker 1: about forty five miles to the gallon. It's a hybrid.
- 8:58Speaker 1: The one I purchased they come into an all gas
- 9:01Speaker 1: version as well, but just a wonderful car and the financing.
- 9:06Speaker 1: So I've got a pretty good relationship with my credit union.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Went to them and they made me what sounded like
- 9:11Speaker 1: a great offer on financing, and then Kobe was able
- 9:16Speaker 1: to beat it by a couple of points.
- 9:18Speaker 4: So no, we've definitely seen, you know, even when I
- 9:21Speaker 4: wasn't at the dealership, I was doing financing and Tulsa,
- 9:24Speaker 4: And you know, we've seen a lot lately that credit unions.
- 9:27Speaker 3: They do a great job and lots of times we
- 9:29Speaker 3: work with a lot of them.
- 9:30Speaker 4: But with all the banks we have right now, lots
- 9:32Speaker 4: of them are offering significantly lower rates.
- 9:35Speaker 2: They can really really help you out. So how is
- 9:37Speaker 2: it all right?
- 9:38Speaker 1: I'm not as familiar with financing as you are. How
- 9:41Speaker 1: is it that we get better rates? You know, for instance,
- 9:46Speaker 1: if you go to Bank XYZ as a bank consumer,
- 9:49Speaker 1: they're going to offer you a rate, and then we
- 9:52Speaker 1: can go to that same bank and get a lower rate.
- 9:55Speaker 2: How does that work? Well?
- 9:56Speaker 4: Typically I see that, you know, the rates that the
- 9:59Speaker 4: person gs and the dealer gets are very similar, if
- 10:02Speaker 4: not the same, in most cases. But we do have
- 10:05Speaker 4: you know, many many more lenders than the average person has.
- 10:09Speaker 4: So you know, specifically with the credit unions as well,
- 10:13Speaker 4: as much as you can create that personal connection, they
- 10:15Speaker 4: are much slower to react than the banks. And we
- 10:17Speaker 4: have lots of bigger banks that are very aggressive right now,
- 10:21Speaker 4: and lots of times we can honestly play them against
- 10:24Speaker 4: each other. We can say, hey, you know, our best
- 10:26Speaker 4: is offering this b of a can you Bank of America?
- 10:30Speaker 4: Can you come down a little bit and meet us
- 10:32Speaker 4: there or go a little bit lower. So that's really
- 10:33Speaker 4: where we get those better rates.
- 10:35Speaker 2: That is that's interesting, man.
- 10:38Speaker 1: It really surprised me how much less interest I'm paying
- 10:43Speaker 1: because we have a relationship.
- 10:46Speaker 4: Well, and like I said, even with the credit unions
- 10:48Speaker 4: right now, they're great, we use them as well, we
- 10:52Speaker 4: go through many of them and for certain situations they're incredible.
- 10:55Speaker 4: But with them be in private equity, they are much
- 10:58Speaker 4: slower to react to rates and so typically right now
- 11:02Speaker 4: they have a set rate and they are significantly higher
- 11:05Speaker 4: than what banks are offering. And with our access to
- 11:09Speaker 4: those banks and many more that lots of people in
- 11:12Speaker 4: Oklahoma don't even know about, it allows us to really
- 11:16Speaker 4: activate and get you that best rate.
- 11:19Speaker 2: That is awesome.
- 11:20Speaker 1: So one of the advantages of purchasing from Dungeons is
- 11:26Speaker 1: is definitely our ability to negotiate.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Yeah, no, Kobe. Kobe does a great job at it.
- 11:32Speaker 4: He's been really great lately. I was really impressed to
- 11:34Speaker 4: see how much he's grown since the last time I
- 11:36Speaker 4: was at Dungeons.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Another advantage of working with us is just just that
- 11:41Speaker 1: the people exactly. We have a pretty awesome staff of
- 11:47Speaker 1: sales specialists and managers, and the way we sell cars
- 11:52Speaker 1: is a little bit different, not a lot of pressure,
- 11:57Speaker 1: not the old what is it I can do to
- 12:00Speaker 1: get you into this car today tactics. We keep things
- 12:06Speaker 1: very simple. The price is the price. And one of
- 12:11Speaker 1: the things that has really fascinated me I've been doing
- 12:15Speaker 1: some research over the last couple of weeks on this
- 12:18Speaker 1: the amount of fees that other dealers stack on top
- 12:22Speaker 1: of their cars. Where you think you have a card deal,
- 12:26Speaker 1: you think you've negotiated a price, and then you go
- 12:30Speaker 1: into what is known in the industry as the box,
- 12:34Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, there are more fees. And
- 12:38Speaker 1: that is definitely not the case at Dungeons.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Now.
- 12:41Speaker 4: I've definitely seen a lot of that especially in the
- 12:44Speaker 4: bigger markets. I'm not going to name names, of course,
- 12:46Speaker 4: but you know, you see these dealer fees that can
- 12:49Speaker 4: amount to two three grand added on after the fact,
- 12:53Speaker 4: that are hidden in the small print at the bottom
- 12:56Speaker 4: of the website. And I've seen people leave Bartlesvelt so
- 13:00Speaker 4: you go get these great deals and have that happen
- 13:03Speaker 4: to them. And that's why we think it's really important
- 13:06Speaker 4: to be upfront with everything and kind of you know,
- 13:08Speaker 4: let our customers know it's a very straightforward price.
- 13:11Speaker 3: You get what it is.
- 13:13Speaker 4: We're here to serve the Parlsville community and we want
- 13:15Speaker 4: to make it easy for them to get new cars.
- 13:17Speaker 1: There's a line on the purchase agreement called a documentation yes,
- 13:23Speaker 1: a DOC fee.
- 13:24Speaker 2: What exactly is that?
- 13:26Speaker 4: The doc fee is something we charge for documentation. It
- 13:31Speaker 4: is a confusing topic for many and lots of people
- 13:35Speaker 4: want that taken off in many cases. I've faced that
- 13:38Speaker 4: many times, and you know, it is something that is
- 13:41Speaker 4: not removed at any dealer. But what I've seen at
- 13:43Speaker 4: many dealers is they charge you know or nine, you know,
- 13:48Speaker 4: five ninety nine, even seen up to seven ninety nine
- 13:51Speaker 4: for a dock fee. And that's the one thing about Dungeons.
- 13:54Speaker 4: We only charge the one ninety five. That really helps
- 13:57Speaker 4: us pay for getting the paper through the all the
- 14:01Speaker 4: systems it has to go through, all the red tape.
- 14:03Speaker 2: There is some red tape, but that.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Is I believe, the lowest documentation fee for a Toyota
- 14:11Speaker 1: dealer in the state.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 4: No, it's the lowest I've seen by far. Honestly, other
- 14:17Speaker 4: dealerships I've seen they charge that to their employees, but
- 14:21Speaker 4: not to the actual say or the rest of the people.
- 14:24Speaker 4: But it is for us the same all the way across.
- 14:30Speaker 1: That makes it so much easier to buy a car
- 14:34Speaker 1: when you when you know what you're actually paid back,
- 14:36Speaker 1: I know what the costs really are.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why they're the home of simple pricing.
- 14:40Speaker 1: That is.
- 14:41Speaker 2: That is, So what have we got on the used
- 14:44Speaker 2: car lot right.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Now as of right now?
- 14:47Speaker 4: I was looking out there the other day it looked
- 14:49Speaker 4: like we did have a used Tundra right now, really
- 14:53Speaker 4: nice vehicle as well as we do have a used
- 14:56Speaker 4: Dodge Ram fifteen hundred that I looked at the other day.
- 15:01Speaker 1: It's a really really nice car. I know, we've got
- 15:05Speaker 1: a pre owned four Runner that is. Yeah, as they say,
- 15:09Speaker 1: priced to move and then we also have and this
- 15:15Speaker 1: is kind of interesting, We've got a Grand a twenty
- 15:19Speaker 1: twenty four Grand Highlander on the lot. That's a pre
- 15:22Speaker 1: owned Highlander. It's only got twenty four thousand miles on it.
- 15:27Speaker 1: It was purchased by somebody that it was purchased from us.
- 15:32Speaker 1: The driver decided they wanted a different vehicle, came back,
- 15:36Speaker 1: traded in the Grand Highlander, purchased another vehicle from us.
- 15:43Speaker 1: This is uh, this is a kind of car you
- 15:46Speaker 1: can you can pack some big guys into, you know
- 15:49Speaker 1: that that Highlander.
- 15:50Speaker 4: It's impressive with you know the size of the vehicle
- 15:53Speaker 4: versus how much room you feel on the interior. Yeah,
- 15:56Speaker 4: and for people that are looking from something maybe even
- 15:58Speaker 4: a little bit smaller than and that. We do have
- 16:01Speaker 4: two wrap fours very similar twenty twenty fours with about
- 16:05Speaker 4: twenty four to twenty seven I think one as twenty four,
- 16:07Speaker 4: one as twenty seven.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Yes, and those are also priced to go.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Really they are in a great price range, very reliable,
- 16:16Speaker 4: like one owner.
- 16:18Speaker 1: And you can see all of this on our website
- 16:21Speaker 1: at Doungeustoyota dot com.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Uh.
- 16:24Speaker 1: We use a service called the Carfax. Yes, you may
- 16:29Speaker 1: have seen the Fox. It's a third party comes in
- 16:34Speaker 1: and basically gives you all of the details, you know,
- 16:38Speaker 1: what the previous owner was doing.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Well.
- 16:40Speaker 4: And I've seen a couple other you know, auto checking
- 16:45Speaker 4: kind of sources out there, and I have never seen
- 16:49Speaker 4: one that is as reliable as Carfax, that gives you
- 16:51Speaker 4: as much detail as Carfax does, which is why we've
- 16:55Speaker 4: we've kept Carfax on for so long as we want
- 16:57Speaker 4: our customers to know where the car has been, you know,
- 17:00Speaker 4: what it's been through, and it often shows exactly where
- 17:04Speaker 4: it's been so you can know when it was serviced,
- 17:07Speaker 4: you know, how was titled, how many owners?
- 17:09Speaker 2: Yeah, what the pedigree of the vehicle? Oh yeah, yeah.
- 17:13Speaker 1: So we we also have some non Toyota product on
- 17:18Speaker 1: the used car lot. One of the cars. It just
- 17:23Speaker 1: is intriguing to me. We've got a really nice pre
- 17:26Speaker 1: owned twenty twenty three BMW X five. It's all wheel drive,
- 17:32Speaker 1: again one owner, only about fifty fifty nine thousand some
- 17:38Speaker 1: odd miles.
- 17:40Speaker 2: This is a really it's a luxury av.
- 17:43Speaker 3: It's a nice car.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Those BMW's, they they are the perfect car for someone
- 17:48Speaker 4: that really wants comfort but still wants the power in
- 17:51Speaker 4: their car. They can really get up and go, but
- 17:54Speaker 4: you're not going to feel any of that. It is
- 17:56Speaker 4: a very comfortable ride well.
- 17:58Speaker 1: And again we have all of our used car listed
- 18:00Speaker 1: at Dungeons Toyota dot com and all of our new
- 18:04Speaker 1: cars as well. Of course, it makes it really easy
- 18:07Speaker 1: to calculate your price, get an idea of what kind
- 18:12Speaker 1: of financing we can get you. Often even after you
- 18:16Speaker 1: use our tool on the website, we'll do better.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Yeah, And then.
- 18:22Speaker 1: You know it gives you all the details about every
- 18:25Speaker 1: vehicle you can make basically work your entire deal online now.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Oh, it's the beauty of where the industry is going
- 18:34Speaker 4: and makes it very simple. You can do just about
- 18:36Speaker 4: everything at home, and as soon as you have a
- 18:39Speaker 4: deal you like, or if you don't like it, feel
- 18:41Speaker 4: free to call us and we can always see if
- 18:43Speaker 4: we can maybe get a little better financing, as you said,
- 18:46Speaker 4: or find a way to get you the deal that
- 18:48Speaker 4: you're looking for, and we can get you into a
- 18:50Speaker 4: new car very quickly.
- 18:53Speaker 1: It is pretty impressive. I think, start to finish. When
- 18:59Speaker 1: I just my car, it was it was under an hour.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Tom talks about the last car he purchased from us.
- 19:06Speaker 2: It did forty.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Minutes yeah, yeah, if that.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I have some neighbors who purchased a vehicle not from
- 19:15Speaker 1: US a couple of weeks ago, and they were in
- 19:19Speaker 1: the dealership for close to six hours. They didn't get
- 19:22Speaker 1: home until eleven o'clock at night, and not the experience
- 19:26Speaker 1: they wanted to have.
- 19:27Speaker 4: That is one of the things I have heard so
- 19:30Speaker 4: many times in the industry with our focus on getting it,
- 19:33Speaker 4: making it easy, and moving you through the process in
- 19:35Speaker 4: an efficient way, is I'll have people they finished the
- 19:39Speaker 4: whole process and they look at the salesperson and they say,
- 19:42Speaker 4: that's it, I'm done, I'm good to go, because they
- 19:45Speaker 4: expect such.
- 19:46Speaker 3: A long period of time when really it doesn't have
- 19:49Speaker 3: to be that.
- 19:49Speaker 2: It really does not have to be.
- 19:54Speaker 1: And the trick bag there, there's a there's a term
- 20:00Speaker 1: in the industry about what some dealers will pull, and
- 20:06Speaker 1: we have no trick bag.
- 20:09Speaker 2: We're pretty pretty straightforward. Guys. I remember when I made
- 20:13Speaker 2: my purchase. Yeah, well what's next?
- 20:15Speaker 4: And she says, well, here's the keys.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Yeah, fun exactly.
- 20:21Speaker 1: The most complicated part of purchasing a new vehicle now
- 20:25Speaker 1: should be here's how to work the electronics, Here's here's
- 20:33Speaker 1: how to how to push all the buttons and make
- 20:35Speaker 1: the sound come on.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Well, really, our job as a dealership is to show
- 20:40Speaker 4: you what your options are, what is the best options,
- 20:45Speaker 4: and make that an easy process and an easy pick
- 20:48Speaker 4: for you. Not to move stuff around and try to
- 20:50Speaker 4: make it complicated and long and stretch things scary and
- 20:54Speaker 4: get you in a new car as fast as possible
- 20:57Speaker 4: and the best way possible, makes it so much, so
- 21:02Speaker 4: much better of an experience, simpler, simpler, very very simple.
- 21:07Speaker 1: So what do you what do you see uh going
- 21:12Speaker 1: forward in cars? Have you been keeping up with what
- 21:16Speaker 1: Toyota has been.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I check in with Toyota every now and again.
- 21:20Speaker 4: You know, I've obviously was coming from a different dealership
- 21:23Speaker 4: that sold a different brand, so I was very.
- 21:26Speaker 3: In tune with them.
- 21:26Speaker 4: But the big thing you see with Toyota is the
- 21:30Speaker 4: reliability of the cars compared to other brands.
- 21:34Speaker 1: The well then the innovation, things like the I Force
- 21:39Speaker 1: Max engine that is going into the Tundra and the Tacoma,
- 21:44Speaker 1: which is it's a it's a new generation of hybrid engine.
- 21:52Speaker 1: The hybrid gas combination actually gives you war horsepower and
- 22:00Speaker 1: more torque. The hybrid system stays on even when the
- 22:05Speaker 1: gas system is on and.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I have this.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I don't have the eye Force and the Cross, but
- 22:13Speaker 1: it does have something hybrid. It's got the hybrid system
- 22:17Speaker 1: and it's pretty impressive.
- 22:20Speaker 4: It is a common misconception from the past that with
- 22:23Speaker 4: the hybrid engines you're getting, you know, less power.
- 22:27Speaker 3: It's a smaller engine. With a hybrid, you're getting less power.
- 22:30Speaker 4: But that is Toyota has completely proven that wrong with
- 22:33Speaker 4: how much power they are putting into these cars.
- 22:36Speaker 1: It is something. They're getting more torque and more horsepower
- 22:41Speaker 1: out of a four cylinder engine than an eight. I
- 22:47Speaker 1: don't know how they do it and the engines. I
- 22:50Speaker 1: had an opportunity to help somebody jump their car about
- 22:56Speaker 1: a week after I purchased the Cross, and it was
- 22:59Speaker 1: it was really the first time I'd opened the hood
- 23:01Speaker 1: to the Cross and I looked down at the engine
- 23:04Speaker 1: and it was like looking at something out of Star Wars.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I couldn't find the battery.
- 23:10Speaker 1: And it turns out that the battery isn't under the
- 23:12Speaker 1: hood on a hybrid, it's under the passenger seat. It's
- 23:19Speaker 1: a lot different than the do it yourself engines that
- 23:24Speaker 1: I grew up with.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I know it has been grown so much especially
- 23:29Speaker 4: over the last couple of years. And the great thing
- 23:31Speaker 4: about Toyota is they have been doing the hybrid since
- 23:35Speaker 4: two thousand and one, and so they have worked on
- 23:37Speaker 4: them over and over again to make them wor as
- 23:40Speaker 4: reliable as great.
- 23:41Speaker 1: It's the fifth generation of hybrid with the eye force
- 23:44Speaker 1: and yeah, you can tell there's been some time put
- 23:48Speaker 1: into really making these engines. Yeah, amazing.
- 23:52Speaker 4: Well, and most brands use a previous version of Toyota's
- 23:56Speaker 4: hybrid as their hybrid. That it is pretty much. It
- 24:01Speaker 4: is ubiquitous now. And you know, Toyota has got a
- 24:04Speaker 4: philosophy that hybrid is the bridge to the future.
- 24:09Speaker 3: But they.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Are not putting a lot of emphasis on the all electric.
- 24:14Speaker 1: But there are a couple of all electrics getting ready
- 24:17Speaker 1: to launch next year. One of them that really intrigues
- 24:21Speaker 1: me the CHR We have had those on the lot
- 24:29Speaker 1: as all gas, little little crossovers. They're introducing one in
- 24:37Speaker 1: twenty six that's going to be all electric and from
- 24:41Speaker 1: what I'm reading, and this is a small whip around
- 24:44Speaker 1: kind of car, it's going to have about four hundred horsepower. Yeah,
- 24:49Speaker 1: it's it's gonna be a little speed demon.
- 24:52Speaker 4: No, those electric engines if you want something that is
- 24:55Speaker 4: going to.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Be very quick, very quiet, it is a great way
- 24:59Speaker 3: to go.
- 25:00Speaker 2: They have so much power, super reliable.
- 25:03Speaker 1: This is an almost no maintenance kind of engine.
- 25:10Speaker 4: Get your tire tires rotated. That's about tire tires and
- 25:13Speaker 4: wiper blades. Yeah, this is this is the way we're going.
- 25:20Speaker 4: But we're not quite there yet. But luckily we do
- 25:22Speaker 4: have Like you said, with Toyota, they're trying to slowly
- 25:25Speaker 4: transition into that, so we're seeing a lot more of
- 25:28Speaker 4: these hybrids coming in and as well as the plug
- 25:30Speaker 4: in hybrids are incredible.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Yeah, the plug in hybrid gives you the ability to
- 25:36Speaker 1: drive all electric drive hybrid drive gas and you get
- 25:41Speaker 1: kind of the best of all worlds. You get the
- 25:43Speaker 1: range of a gasoline engine, the economy of a hybrid,
- 25:47Speaker 1: and when you're in town, the quiet electric, full.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Of low, low cost fully electric.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Yeah, and then all of the cameras now Tom the
- 26:00Speaker 1: twenty five cameras and going forward, all hybrid.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Great vehicle. So the camera is actually now getting about
- 26:10Speaker 2: fifty miles to the gallon with more power than the
- 26:14Speaker 2: gas engines. It's pretty impressive.
- 26:17Speaker 4: No, I at the other dealership, I was at you know,
- 26:21Speaker 4: we'd see people come in and see thirty miles per
- 26:23Speaker 4: gallon and say that's pretty that's pretty good, that's awesome.
- 26:28Speaker 4: And I'm looking at toyotas and it's fifty even some
- 26:31Speaker 4: of the pre ass can get sixty miles to the gallon.
- 26:34Speaker 3: It is incredible.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Whole new world, whole new world.
- 26:38Speaker 1: So we probably should give a shout out to our
- 26:41Speaker 1: friends at Dungeon's Toyota Service. They've got some great specials
- 26:47Speaker 1: going on again on our website at Dungeonstoyota dot com.
- 26:53Speaker 1: You can go there for the service specials. And right
- 26:56Speaker 1: now we've got well, I think there's a Nash Tire
- 27:00Speaker 1: special going on, Buy three, get one free, and then
- 27:05Speaker 1: our local specials. We've got a great deal on alignments.
- 27:10Speaker 1: We've got a great, great deal on a fluid change.
- 27:14Speaker 1: And one of my favorites, and this is probably the
- 27:17Speaker 1: coupon that we see the most traffic on. We call
- 27:20Speaker 1: it Angela's Service Special. And what Angela has done is
- 27:27Speaker 1: it's basically a discount based on the dollar value.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Of your purchase.
- 27:31Speaker 1: So if you are in the fifty two one hundred
- 27:35Speaker 1: dollars range, we give you ten dollars off and one
- 27:38Speaker 1: hundred and one to two hundred twenty dollars off, et cetera,
- 27:42Speaker 1: et cetera. So yeah, definitely if you're in need of
- 27:46Speaker 1: some service maintenance on your vehicle, if you've got floppy
- 27:49Speaker 1: windshield wipers, your tires aren't full of tread, you haven't
- 27:54Speaker 1: had an oil change in a while. We love selling
- 27:57Speaker 1: cars at Dungeons, but I've seen people get the most
- 28:02Speaker 1: use out of their vehicle because that's that's an expensive purchase.
- 28:05Speaker 1: So come see us at Dungeon's Toyota Service. You can
- 28:09Speaker 1: make an appointment online, you can call us at nine
