- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Becca Tilly and Tanya Radd, an iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and two-time People's Choice Award winning podcast. Hello, everybody.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We are scrubbing in.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Oh, you're right. Those are the docile tones of one
- 0:19Speaker 1: Becca Tilly. She's back, ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Wow.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
- 0:26Speaker 1: She's back on a very important day.
- 0:29Speaker 2: The anniversary.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Our nine-year podcast anniversary is November.
- 0:36Speaker 2: 14th. Yeah. How does it feel? I was bummed.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I thought it was 10. I thought this year was 10.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Oh, you thought it was a decade. Yeah. And it just.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Feels like cooler.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:47Speaker 1: But you can't do 10 without nine.
- 0:49Speaker 2: And that's true. That's true. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, happy nine years.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Happy nine years.
- 0:55Speaker 2: No breaks, no seasons.
- 0:57Speaker 3: No breaks, no seasons.
- 0:58Speaker 1: No finale, just straight through. Straight us.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Straight through for nine years. That's something to be proud of. Yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 2: I would say so. I actually just saw... I was
- 1:09Speaker 2: laughing the other day because... Well, for a long time...
- 1:13Speaker 2: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like podcasts,
- 1:15Speaker 2: kind of when we started nine years ago, there wasn't
- 1:19Speaker 2: a season to a podcast. Everyone just kind of recorded
- 1:22Speaker 2: and did it weekly.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:24Speaker 2: And someone said on threads or something like, If you're
- 1:29Speaker 2: starting a podcast, should you have seasons? Do you think
- 1:31Speaker 2: there's a benefit? I saw this too. And then Kelty responded?
- 1:34Speaker 1: No, what did she say?
- 1:35Speaker 2: She was basically like, we started never doing seasons, so
- 1:39Speaker 2: therefore we've never taken a break. And let me tell you,
- 1:42Speaker 2: having to wake up and do a podcast on Christmas
- 1:44Speaker 2: morning is not what you want to be doing.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I think seasons is.
- 1:51Speaker 1: A cuter way to do it you know what i
- 1:54Speaker 1: mean like okay this is season finale and then like
- 1:56Speaker 1: a season premiere is more exciting than just like nothing
- 1:59Speaker 1: for nine years we never had a season premiere like.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Come on well and actually my season the season premiere
- 2:06Speaker 2: was just me and jason george i never.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Had a season premiere season premiere for maybe maybe yeah
- 2:17Speaker 4: Or maybe we should take a break for a few
- 2:19Speaker 4: weeks and then sort of get a red carpet.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Do like a whole premiere. Yeah.
- 2:26Speaker 2: You deserve that.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Happy nine years.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Happy nine years. Best nine years of my life. Truly.
- 2:33Speaker 2: It has been a really, really wonderful nine years.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:37Speaker 2: And we have had very minimal disagreements or arguments.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Literally.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Considering we're best friends doing work things together. It's pretty impressive.
- 2:48Speaker 1: You know, um, I think in the beginning, a lot
- 2:51Speaker 1: of people told me that they were like, is it bad?
- 2:54Speaker 1: Like working with your best friend? Do you guys fight
- 2:56Speaker 1: all the time? And I'm like, no, we don't. And
- 3:00Speaker 1: I feel like the things that, um, the things that
- 3:04Speaker 1: we maybe disagree on or like, I wouldn't, I don't
- 3:07Speaker 1: want to say fight. Cause we don't fight about it,
- 3:09Speaker 1: but like, I would say to your face, like, it's like, we,
- 3:11Speaker 1: we have the podcast and we share it to each
- 3:14Speaker 1: other's faces. So there's no like, There's no hiddenness or
- 3:18Speaker 1: anything like that. It's just out in the open.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I can think of maybe, and I don't even
- 3:22Speaker 2: know specifically. I'm just saying I can think of like
- 3:24Speaker 2: maybe two podcasts where we've come on and there's been
- 3:27Speaker 2: tension and we had to just go through it.
- 3:29Speaker 3: I know one.
- 3:30Speaker 2: What's the other one? What was the one you're thinking?
- 3:32Speaker 1: The Taylor Swift wedding.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Oh, that was on the recent list. I feel like
- 3:38Speaker 2: there was one. There's definitely been one or two here
- 3:41Speaker 2: or there where we just got in a scuttle probably
- 3:43Speaker 2: about me not responding to your text or something.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I don't remember ever having like tension with you on
- 3:50Speaker 1: the podcast aside from the Taylor Swift wedding.
- 3:52Speaker 2: You would get like silent and I have to just
- 3:54Speaker 2: fight through your silence.
- 3:57Speaker 1: That tracks.
- 3:59Speaker 2: But yeah.
- 4:01Speaker 1: No, like in a full blown relationship. Like we're not
- 4:03Speaker 1: just friends. Like we are partners.
- 4:05Speaker 2: We are partners.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Partner. I missed you partner.
- 4:09Speaker 2: I missed you too. How was the podcast without me?
- 4:13Speaker 1: Well, we're going to take a trip down memory lane
- 4:15Speaker 1: a little bit later in the podcast. We're going to
- 4:17Speaker 1: want to talk about your Thailand trip. But while you
- 4:21Speaker 1: were gone, I had Ashley. I, the first week that
- 4:23Speaker 1: you were gone, she scrubbed in via zoom, which people
- 4:27Speaker 1: didn't even realize she was via zoom.
- 4:29Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yeah. You have a very strong opinion about Zoom. So
- 4:33Speaker 2: that's big coming from you.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I have a very strong opinion about Zooms. I think
- 4:37Speaker 1: they're very lazy and I don't like it on my
- 4:40Speaker 1: personal podcast. However, Ashley, I has a setup like a
- 4:44Speaker 1: actual like microphone set up because she's a podcaster. So
- 4:48Speaker 1: she did it through her like it was a professional setup.
- 4:51Speaker 1: So it sounded very, very good. Um, And I love Ashley,
- 4:56Speaker 1: so it worked out nicely. And then the second week
- 4:57Speaker 1: I had Robbie scrub in.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Little trickster. Wait, do you know what's so funny?
- 5:03Speaker 2: So, you know how he... Did he ever show you
- 5:06Speaker 2: the videos of him saying that he was going to
- 5:08Speaker 2: prank you?
- 5:09Speaker 3: No.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Okay, so he said... I don't even know how he knew.
- 5:12Speaker 1: How to block me. Like, I'm concerned that he knew
- 5:14Speaker 1: how to block me from his stories.
- 5:16Speaker 2: But he did this whole speech about how he was
- 5:18Speaker 2: going to block you from his stories. He's going to
- 5:19Speaker 2: block me, I guess, so I wouldn't say anything.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks for the heads up.
- 5:23Speaker 2: But I saw all the videos, so he didn't block me.
- 5:26Speaker 2: And then I was giggling thinking about him thinking he
- 5:29Speaker 2: blocked you.
- 5:31Speaker 1: So you saw the sausages made stuff?
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Well, I saw I saw him just leading
- 5:36Speaker 2: up and he was like, send me any, you know,
- 5:39Speaker 2: sayings or phrases.
- 5:41Speaker 1: What's really funny is he had this like cute idea.
- 5:43Speaker 1: He was like, we could play the newlywed game and
- 5:47Speaker 1: we can just send Becca the questions and she can
- 5:50Speaker 1: just record them in like voice notes and send them back.
- 5:52Speaker 1: And I was like.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet man thinking he's going to get
- 6:00Speaker 2: audio from Becca while she's in Thailand.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Please don't bother me.
- 6:05Speaker 1: It was really sweet.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Very sweet. And like, it would have been a great idea.
- 6:08Speaker 2: It was a great idea.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Yeah. I was like, if we would have done this
- 6:11Speaker 1: and gotten the audio from Becca before she left, right.
- 6:14Speaker 1: That could have been a possibility. However, now that she's gone,
- 6:17Speaker 1: zero chance. He goes, it's in four days.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I'm like, That's not enough time. Not enough time for me. Honestly, though,
- 6:26Speaker 2: so I was 14 hours ahead. It would be impossible
- 6:30Speaker 2: to have relationships with people living that far away.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Well, yeah.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Because as soon as I was going to bed, y'all
- 6:37Speaker 2: were getting up, vice versa.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I never knew what time it was for you.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 6:40Speaker 1: But I was very surprised at how quick you were
- 6:42Speaker 1: to respond at specific moments. You were quick, quick on
- 6:46Speaker 1: the text.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Sometimes I would be in bed and you were waking up.
- 6:50Speaker 2: So I was like trying to respond because I'm like,
- 6:52Speaker 2: I'm about to fall asleep.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I'm about to be MIA for nine hours.
- 6:57Speaker 2: You won't hear from me for at least nine hours.
- 7:01Speaker 2: But yeah, no, I'm glad you got to have Robbie
- 7:03Speaker 2: on and the video of him. His laugh is so
- 7:07Speaker 2: funny and it reminds me so much of Ross from Friends.
- 7:11Speaker 2: It does. The high squeak.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I never noticed how crazy his laugh was until Crystal
- 7:17Speaker 1: made that edit. And I was like, oh my gosh,
- 7:18Speaker 1: it is like a creaking door. And it is like
- 7:21Speaker 1: one of those weird chicken things.
- 7:23Speaker 2: That's what Ross does in Friends. And I love Ross
- 7:26Speaker 2: from Friends.
- 7:26Speaker 1: He's my favorite character.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I know. Wow. I know.
- 7:30Speaker 1: It's all meant to be.
- 7:31Speaker 2: And I actually agree with you on that, which I
- 7:33Speaker 2: would say we, I normally don't feel like we have
- 7:36Speaker 2: the same sense of humor or a line on.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Ross is your favorite?
- 7:38Speaker 2: I think he's the funniest.
- 7:39Speaker 1: He's the funniest.
- 7:41Speaker 2: But I think everyone has their standout episodes where they
- 7:44Speaker 2: shine as the funniest, but I think he's the most consistently.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Overall.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I agree. Like I find myself laughing at his jokes
- 7:51Speaker 1: the most.
- 7:52Speaker 2: But his character was what the show was all based around.
- 7:56Speaker 2: The whole show was based around Ross's character.
- 7:58Speaker 1: It was? I thought they were all equals.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Have you never done Friends trivia?
- 8:02Speaker 1: No, I can't say that I have.
- 8:05Speaker 2: How are you doing mentally, physically, and emotionally?
- 8:08Speaker 1: You know, I'm not going to go down that path today.
- 8:10Speaker 1: We're not crying today. We are not crying today. Thanks
- 8:13Speaker 1: for tuning in. Last week, I had a full meltdown.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Full meltdown.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Well, that makes sense, though.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I know, because, like, Robbie says sweet things, and then
- 8:22Speaker 1: he just, like, makes me cry, and then I just, like,
- 8:25Speaker 1: go off on all the thoughts that I have going
- 8:27Speaker 1: through my head every minute of every day. But I
- 8:29Speaker 1: did get some really sweet messages from Scrubbers, which were really,
- 8:32Speaker 1: really sweet, but they also make me cry, so.
- 8:36Speaker 2: It's a season of release.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Is it?
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah, it is, actually.
- 8:41Speaker 1: If I see one more pregnancy announcement, too, like, I
- 8:44Speaker 1: will lose it. Like, I will actually lose it.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I know. So.
- 8:49Speaker 1: That's where I'm at.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it's we talked about this a little bit
- 8:53Speaker 2: of like the the challenge of holding space for so
- 8:57Speaker 2: many feelings and emotions at once.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 2: And you're doing a great job.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:04Speaker 2: So I was gone for 10 days. I was gone
- 9:07Speaker 2: for 12 days, technically, because I left on a Sunday.
- 9:10Speaker 1: It felt like 20. It did.
- 9:11Speaker 2: It felt like I was gone for.
- 9:13Speaker 1: A month.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I felt like I went away for a year.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:15Speaker 1: No, really, it felt like a month.
- 9:16Speaker 3: It did feel like.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Like a proper month. I do feel like a month
- 9:19Speaker 2: is accurate, how it felt for me as well. I
- 9:21Speaker 2: was very... So leading up to going to Thailand, I
- 9:26Speaker 2: almost wasn't going to go because I got anxious about
- 9:29Speaker 2: how long the flight was for some reason.
- 9:32Speaker 1: What? I didn't know that.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I just got in my head because what I
- 9:35Speaker 2: was looking at, it said 19 hours. And I was
- 9:38Speaker 2: thinking I was just going to be on a plane
- 9:40Speaker 2: straight for 19 hours. And I've never done that before.
- 9:43Speaker 1: You would thrive in that.
- 9:45Speaker 3: No.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Think about it.
- 9:46Speaker 3: You just.
- 9:47Speaker 1: sleep for however long of it and then you just
- 9:50Speaker 1: watch friends for like 15 hours.
- 9:52Speaker 2: On planes and so before and so i got to
- 9:55Speaker 2: because so Haley and Marla can both sleep on planes.
- 9:59Speaker 2: And any, like they can sleep sitting up. I cannot.
- 10:03Speaker 2: My body has to be fully flat for me to
- 10:06Speaker 2: even be able to try and sleep.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Well, you got to get that fixed.
- 10:10Speaker 2: It's really bad.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you really got to get that fixed.
- 10:12Speaker 2: So I go to look at flights and I realize
- 10:15Speaker 2: I have points. So I'm like, I can get a
- 10:17Speaker 2: business class to where I'm laying down. But I tell
- 10:20Speaker 2: Haley and Haley's like, I don't want to, I don't
- 10:21Speaker 2: want to, I don't need that because I can sleep.
- 10:24Speaker 2: And I was like, well, I think I need it. So,
- 10:28Speaker 2: and Marla's like, I can sleep and I'm fine in economy.
- 10:31Speaker 2: So Marla books economy, Haley books premium economy and I
- 10:35Speaker 2: book business class. And everyone had a great flight. We
- 10:39Speaker 2: were all jolly to get there. And it was totally fine.
- 10:43Speaker 2: I did sleep most of it.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I need to send you a link for Marla. You
- 10:47Speaker 1: should have told me this because Robbie bought me one
- 10:49Speaker 1: of those. The blow up thing? Yes. On my flight
- 10:52Speaker 1: to Greece.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:53Speaker 1: And you put it on your, what's the thing called?
- 10:55Speaker 1: The tray table. And it's got a hole for your head.
- 10:58Speaker 1: So it's like, it's tall. You blow it up. And
- 11:01Speaker 1: so the hole for your head is like up here.
- 11:04Speaker 1: You just put your head in it like so ever
- 11:06Speaker 1: so gently. And then there's holes on the side to
- 11:08Speaker 1: put your arms. And you're literally just like this. It's amazing.
- 11:13Speaker 3: I slept.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Seven hours like that on my flight to Greece and
- 11:16Speaker 1: it was.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Maybe I should try that on my next like New
- 11:19Speaker 2: York flight another long flight but not international long.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Yeah it was amazing like and then you unblow it
- 11:27Speaker 1: then you and then you and then you just you
- 11:29Speaker 1: just take it like you just what do you call
- 11:31Speaker 1: it unbutton the thing or unplug the thing and then
- 11:34Speaker 1: let all the air out deflate it.
- 11:37Speaker 2: There's something vulnerable about sitting down in tight quarters and
- 11:40Speaker 2: then pulling out my blow up.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Thing.
- 11:44Speaker 2: My blow up headrest. That's large.
- 11:47Speaker 1: No shame. It's not large. It's like perfect for it's
- 11:50Speaker 1: like made for your seat. OK, I'll let your tray table.
- 11:54Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 11:55Speaker 2: She might not need it, but I'll let her know.
- 11:57Speaker 2: And there's like I need.
- 11:59Speaker 1: And have you seen the like you can put like
- 12:02Speaker 1: a like a little sack for your feet to be
- 12:05Speaker 1: up on the thing.
- 12:06Speaker 2: But then you're maybe bugging the person in front of you.
- 12:09Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 12:10Speaker 1: It goes below that. It's like very below. And then
- 12:13Speaker 1: you can also get a little sack or sash to
- 12:18Speaker 1: stick your forehead to the thing and tie it back.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Wait, so am I leaning forward on my blow-up pillow?
- 12:25Speaker 1: If you don't want to do the blow-up, you can
- 12:28Speaker 1: tape your head back and put your feet up on
- 12:30Speaker 1: the thing.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I'm just picturing you sitting down and taking all your
- 12:33Speaker 2: items out and blowing them up.
- 12:35Speaker 1: It's a big process. No shame in my game.
- 12:39Speaker 2: We made it there. We flew to Taipei in Taiwan
- 12:42Speaker 2: and then we had a layover and then flew there
- 12:45Speaker 2: to Bangkok. And I was personally very overwhelmed in Bangkok.
- 12:50Speaker 2: I think going to somewhere like Thailand, it's a lot
- 12:53Speaker 2: of street food and it's very adventurous, I think, in
- 12:57Speaker 2: how being able to just grab something off the street.
- 13:00Speaker 2: The cost difference is so jarring what you can eat there.
- 13:04Speaker 2: You could eat like a full meal for three to
- 13:07Speaker 2: five dollars. On the street.
- 13:09Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 13:09Speaker 2: It is crazy. And it's amazing. But I am not
- 13:14Speaker 2: adventurous with food at all. I'm very limited on what
- 13:17Speaker 2: I'll eat in the meat department.
- 13:19Speaker 1: They didn't have a Mickey D's out there?
- 13:20Speaker 2: They did, but I didn't want to eat McDonald's right
- 13:22Speaker 2: off the bat. I was trying to be adventurous. So
- 13:27Speaker 2: I was a little overwhelmed at first in Bangkok, but
- 13:31Speaker 2: then we ended up going to... Oh, the whole reason
- 13:34Speaker 2: we went to Thailand was because Girls Like Girls came
- 13:36Speaker 2: out in Thailand, which is... really insane because it was
- 13:40Speaker 2: just a small little independent film and it They got
- 13:45Speaker 2: it released in Thailand and Myra, who plays Sonia, the lead,
- 13:48Speaker 2: she is from Bangkok, grew up in Bangkok, is half Thai.
- 13:52Speaker 2: And so we were like, if there was ever a
- 13:54Speaker 2: time to go, this is it because we'll have Myra
- 13:57Speaker 2: with us. She's lived there most of her life.
- 14:00Speaker 1: And yeah, that's very nice to have like a local.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:03Speaker 2: And someone to just make sure that we don't get
- 14:07Speaker 2: taken advantage of because we had no idea what we
- 14:09Speaker 2: were doing. Right. and to see the movie. And it
- 14:12Speaker 2: was amazing. We landed, went and got dressed, and went
- 14:15Speaker 2: to the screening. So we were all fighting for our
- 14:19Speaker 2: lives with jet lag. Yeah, yikes. And then we did
- 14:24Speaker 2: a few days in Bangkok, and then we went to
- 14:26Speaker 2: the island, Koh Samui. And we had a house, and
- 14:30Speaker 2: the house had... Most of the homes, when you rent them,
- 14:33Speaker 2: they have a staff. So we had breakfast, lunch, and
- 14:35Speaker 2: dinner almost every day at the house. It was $ 80
- 14:40Speaker 2: per person for a whole week for breakfast, lunch, and
- 14:42Speaker 2: dinner every day.
- 14:43Speaker 1: That's insane.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Is that not great? I still can't even wrap my
- 14:47Speaker 2: mind around it. But it was really funny.
- 14:49Speaker 1: How many days? The whole week?
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yeah, from Friday to Thursday. $ 80 a day for the week? No,
- 14:56Speaker 2: $ 80 for the.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Whole week per person. Hold on. I'm just too dumb
- 15:01Speaker 1: to do. 80 divided by 7. $ 11 a day. That
- 15:08Speaker 1: is crazy. You can't even get like a bottle of
- 15:11Speaker 1: water at the AMC theater for like $ 9.
- 15:13Speaker 2: 99.
- 15:13Speaker 1: No, I'm serious.
- 15:16Speaker 2: So it was, it was really, that was really nice.
- 15:19Speaker 2: And then we, it was very adventurous. Like we went
- 15:22Speaker 2: and saw, I love elephants. I don't know if you
- 15:24Speaker 2: know this about me. Elephants are my favorite animal. I've
- 15:26Speaker 2: loved them forever. I'm mesmerized by them. I, any movie
- 15:32Speaker 2: where there's any sort of harm to, well, any animal,
- 15:35Speaker 2: but like, I'm very sensitive to elephants. So going to Thailand,
- 15:38Speaker 2: I was like, I have to go see elephants. And
- 15:41Speaker 2: then people were saying, you need to make sure you're
- 15:43Speaker 2: not going somewhere where you can ride them or bathe
- 15:45Speaker 2: with them. Because a lot of the things you see.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Bathe with them.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Take a little.
- 15:49Speaker 1: A little invasive.
- 15:50Speaker 2: But they're chained at those places. So it's like inhumane,
- 15:54Speaker 2: you know.
- 15:55Speaker 1: But also like.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Well, why would you want to bathe with the elephants?
- 15:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Well, I think it's like you're washing them and stuff.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Oh, you wash them. You're not like showering in their habitat.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Because that feels unnecessary.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. It seems like something you don't need
- 16:12Speaker 2: to do. Right. Basically, people were saying if there's a
- 16:15Speaker 2: place where you can ride them or do the bathing
- 16:18Speaker 2: or they're chained, you don't need to go to that.
- 16:22Speaker 2: So we found one and it was a place where
- 16:24Speaker 2: all the elephants were older lady elephants because a lot
- 16:29Speaker 2: of the babies, people will take them for tourist attractions.
- 16:33Speaker 1: But they don't want the old ladies. And they didn't
- 16:35Speaker 1: want the old ladies.
- 16:35Speaker 2: It's so... Universal?
- 16:40Speaker 1: Prolific about life.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I know.
- 16:44Speaker 1: We toss out the old ladies. I know. You hit
- 16:48Speaker 1: 40 in this industry, you're an old lady.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Yeah, these ladies were 53 and up.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I thought you said they were like 90.
- 16:55Speaker 2: No, they were like 53 to 76, I think.
- 16:59Speaker 1: And washed up. Nobody wanted them. But I loved them. Yeah,
- 17:03Speaker 1: but Becca Tilly loved them.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Our group loved them. We got to feed them, and
- 17:09Speaker 2: they were telling us stories about where they came from.
- 17:12Speaker 2: And these elephants, they're in a sanctuary, so they said
- 17:15Speaker 2: that sometimes the workers have to stay late because if
- 17:19Speaker 2: an elephant's taking a bath in the bath, they have.
- 17:22Speaker 1: To just stay until they're ready to be done.
- 17:24Speaker 2: So the workers just have to kind of go because
- 17:27Speaker 2: they want them to feel free even though they're in
- 17:29Speaker 2: a sanctuary because they can't survive in the wild. So
- 17:31Speaker 2: they want them to still feel like they have... They
- 17:37Speaker 2: got to be looked after. Damn. I know.
- 17:39Speaker 1: It's getting darker.
- 17:41Speaker 2: So I might move to Thailand and work at the sanctuary.
- 17:44Speaker 2: That's what I would do.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Really?
- 17:45Speaker 2: I wouldn't move there because it's too hot and humid
- 17:49Speaker 2: and I was not my best self. In the humidity?
- 17:52Speaker 1: You missed the humidity in LA.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Okay.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I heard it was, I think it was even worse
- 17:56Speaker 2: than in Thailand.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I wake up and my house had like drips from
- 18:00Speaker 1: the water, from the humidity outside. Like I had like
- 18:03Speaker 1: condensation all over my windows. Like you couldn't see through
- 18:06Speaker 1: my windows because they were so condensed.
- 18:08Speaker 2: It's like Florida.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Yes.
- 18:10Speaker 1: It was Florida.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I've never experienced anything like it.
- 18:14Speaker 2: It was Does it make it... So Haley and I
- 18:17Speaker 2: have really come to the decision that we cannot get... Like,
- 18:21Speaker 2: we've already known we can't get married in humidity, but
- 18:23Speaker 2: this trip we really were like, absolutely not.
- 18:27Speaker 1: We were... But it wasn't just like... Nothing sounds worse
- 18:32Speaker 1: than getting married in humidity.
- 18:33Speaker 2: But it's not like, oh man, it's so hot, but
- 18:36Speaker 2: we're having the best day. We're just... troll. Like we're
- 18:40Speaker 2: not nice to each other.
- 18:41Speaker 1: No, I turn into a B-I-T-C-H. I'm full blown.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I didn't know that about you.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I stayed indoors for two days because I
- 18:49Speaker 1: was like, with these hormones, like you don't want me
- 18:51Speaker 1: to go outside, babe. You need me sitting my ass
- 18:54Speaker 1: right here in this air conditioned home because it's very bad.
- 18:57Speaker 1: When I get hot, I just get so irritated.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't know that about you.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Yes. I do too.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Like full shut down.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Shut down.
- 19:06Speaker 2: And I grew up in A lot of people are
- 19:08Speaker 2: like you grew up in Louisiana, but I've lived here
- 19:10Speaker 2: for almost 20 years. I am. I'm sensitive.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I am very sensitive and I've lived here my whole life.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I know that's what I'm saying. I don't deal well
- 19:21Speaker 1: with cold or hot. I really like it 70 and sunny.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah so we were discussing and Haley goes but we
- 19:29Speaker 2: really want the sun to be out so we want
- 19:31Speaker 2: people to be able to be by like out in
- 19:33Speaker 2: the sun but not sweating.
- 19:35Speaker 1: No but it's different like a dry heat like I
- 19:38Speaker 1: I could get married in Arizona because there's a dry
- 19:42Speaker 1: heat even a hundred oh no chance under the shade
- 19:45Speaker 1: like not like straight under the sun but like I
- 19:48Speaker 1: do think that a dry heat is very different than
- 19:51Speaker 1: a wet heat. Because you feel like you're in an
- 19:53Speaker 1: oven in the humidity. Whereas, like, with a dry heat,
- 19:56Speaker 1: you're just, like.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Sweating.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Warm.
- 19:59Speaker 1: No, you're not sweating. It's, like, it's hot. But you're, like,
- 20:01Speaker 1: it's crisp.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Uh-huh. Well... I felt like I expanded. I felt like
- 20:08Speaker 2: my body was swollen. Yeah, bird. Trying to take photos
- 20:13Speaker 2: and feel cute was impossible. No. Impossible. Yeah. So we,
- 20:18Speaker 2: on one of the days, we decided we were going
- 20:20Speaker 2: to get a boat and go island hop. And when
- 20:23Speaker 2: you hear that, what are you thinking of? Just like,
- 20:25Speaker 2: you remember the boat we went on for your bachelorette
- 20:30Speaker 2: and we were on the front laying out?
- 20:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I would think.
- 20:32Speaker 2: That is a speedboat.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Same. So we get out. I got up early to
- 20:37Speaker 2: do my hair and then we, I walk out and
- 20:43Speaker 2: I don't see the boat and Haley goes, don't panic.
- 20:45Speaker 2: And I'm like, why? Should we take a break?
- 20:51Speaker 1: It's a good tease.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Wow.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I'm like scared.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Don't panic is a good tease. Yeah.
- 20:56Speaker 1: All right.
- 21:12Speaker 3: We're back.
- 21:17Speaker 1: We back, baby.
- 21:20Speaker 2: So my hair's done. I have my colorful outfit on
- 21:23Speaker 2: with my swimsuit. I put on a body chain. I
- 21:26Speaker 2: was like, I'm about to blog on this boat. And
- 21:30Speaker 2: Haley goes, don't panic. And I go, why? And she goes, well...
- 21:35Speaker 2: It's not necessarily an aesthetic boat. And I'm like, it's fine. Like,
- 21:40Speaker 2: how bad can it be? We get on and it's
- 21:43Speaker 2: like missing one of the cushions on one side in
- 21:47Speaker 2: the front. It looks like there was a fire or something.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Something got burned. And I'm like, okay, it's okay. We
- 21:56Speaker 2: take off and this is like a Mission Impossible speedboat chase.
- 22:01Speaker 2: There is no preserving the hair.
- 22:04Speaker 1: It is everything.
- 22:05Speaker 2: We're holding on to the rail for dear life sitting.
- 22:09Speaker 2: And we're like, okay, well, we're going pretty far, like
- 22:12Speaker 2: an hour-long boat ride in this high-speed chase.
- 22:16Speaker 1: You vomit?
- 22:18Speaker 2: No, I don't get... I don't get... No one did.
- 22:20Speaker 2: I think going that fast actually helps with seasickness.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I don't know about that.
- 22:24Speaker 2: No, I think when you're going.
- 22:24Speaker 1: It's really touch and go for me.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I think if you start feeling this is where you get...
- 22:29Speaker 2: where things go bad. So we... I go, oh, I
- 22:32Speaker 2: was very quiet because I think I had an expectation
- 22:36Speaker 2: and it was very different than what I expected. And
- 22:39Speaker 2: everyone was like, why is Becca being so quiet? She's
- 22:43Speaker 2: in shock. Coming down. She's coming down. So after I realized, oh,
- 22:47Speaker 2: to get to this island, we had to be on
- 22:48Speaker 2: a really fast boat. We get to the island and
- 22:50Speaker 2: he goes, we're just going to do a quick hike
- 22:52Speaker 2: up to this blue lagoon. So we go and these
- 22:56Speaker 2: stairs are like a ladder, like going straight up. And
- 22:59Speaker 2: there's probably 10 of them that we have to. traverse
- 23:03Speaker 2: so we're all in flip-flops we're all dry like heaving
- 23:08Speaker 2: trying to catch our breath we get up to the
- 23:10Speaker 2: top we're trying to look cute but we're sweating yeah
- 23:14Speaker 2: and we're like oh this is so pretty okay let's
- 23:17Speaker 2: go back down so we go back down we get
- 23:21Speaker 2: on the boat and we go snorkel it was really
- 23:24Speaker 2: amazing beautiful but you know we're we're it's active yes
- 23:29Speaker 2: We get back on. He takes us to another beach.
- 23:31Speaker 2: We go kayaking. We're like, is this camp? Like, what
- 23:36Speaker 2: are we doing? This is the most adventure anyone's been.
- 23:41Speaker 2: We kayak. We go have lunch and then get down
- 23:44Speaker 2: and we go to the next island. It's the final one.
- 23:47Speaker 2: And he's like, just a quick 30 minute hike up
- 23:49Speaker 2: to this viewpoint. So half the girls get to the
- 23:52Speaker 2: second viewpoint because there were five of them. And it
- 23:54Speaker 2: was like Haley, Myra and her sister, Nina. And they
- 23:56Speaker 2: were like, We're good here. Like, we see this is
- 23:59Speaker 2: a beautiful view. And Marla and I were like, we're
- 24:01Speaker 2: all the way across the world. We have to go
- 24:03Speaker 2: to the top. I'm not kidding. It was one of
- 24:06Speaker 2: the most physically challenging things I have ever done in
- 24:09Speaker 2: my life. That's brutal. It was so hard. We get
- 24:13Speaker 2: up to the top. It's pouring rain. And I was like,
- 24:17Speaker 2: if Marla keeps going, I'll keep going. But if Marla stops,
- 24:20Speaker 2: I'll stop. And she was doing the same thing with me.
- 24:23Speaker 2: So we were just.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Oh, hell no.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Not knowing, but we were pushing each other up the top.
- 24:29Speaker 2: But it was beautiful. I feel like.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Doing your hair on vacation is really not what vacation
- 24:35Speaker 1: is about. Nothing to me is more freeing than just
- 24:41Speaker 1: jumping in the water, getting my hair all wet and
- 24:43Speaker 1: nasty and not caring for the whole time I'm there.
- 24:47Speaker 2: I think your hair lays different than mine because mine
- 24:50Speaker 2: goes out like Monica, especially in the humidity.
- 24:54Speaker 3: No way.
- 24:54Speaker 2: I almost was like, I need the braid she got.
- 24:58Speaker 2: I might get canceled, but I need my hair to
- 25:02Speaker 2: be tamed.
- 25:02Speaker 1: This is my hair naturally drying.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Yeah, mine doesn't do that. So especially with the humidity levels,
- 25:09Speaker 2: absolutely no chance. But yeah, even done, my hair looked bad.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Like even doing my hair didn't look great. So yeah,
- 25:18Speaker 2: it was a very adventurous thing. Have you ever done
- 25:21Speaker 2: the hydrofoil or the e-foil?
- 25:23Speaker 3: No.
- 25:24Speaker 1: You did that?
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we did that.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Is it fun or scary?
- 25:27Speaker 2: It was fun. I wouldn't say it was scary, but
- 25:30Speaker 2: it wasn't easy. Like it's a lot of core action. Yeah. Yeah.
- 25:36Speaker 2: But there was a rental place like right down the
- 25:38Speaker 2: beach from where we were staying. So we were all like,
- 25:41Speaker 2: let's just go try. And so we just rented one
- 25:43Speaker 2: and took turns.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Did you ride it far?
- 25:46Speaker 2: What do you consider far? Like down, around, and around,
- 25:50Speaker 2: and around? No, I just went on a straight line
- 25:52Speaker 2: for about 40 seconds.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Oh, wow. Okay.
- 25:55Speaker 2: And that was about as long as they were. I
- 25:56Speaker 2: couldn't figure out how to turn. And then I kind of,
- 25:59Speaker 2: my knee, because you go up on your hands and
- 26:02Speaker 2: then you get on your knees and then you stand up.
- 26:05Speaker 2: And so everything was bruised. I was just kind of like, okay,
- 26:08Speaker 2: you know, I've had enough. But Haley loved it. Haley
- 26:10Speaker 2: kept wanting to go back for more. adrenaline junkie and
- 26:13Speaker 2: she was like I was going so fast and then
- 26:15Speaker 2: I showed her the video and she's like that's not
- 26:17Speaker 2: the one I'm like that's it feels faster when you're
- 26:22Speaker 2: in the water.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yeah I feel like everything I've seen they look very fast.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Yeah well when a professional is doing it I think
- 26:29Speaker 2: they are going fast but when you're hitting the seven
- 26:31Speaker 2: miles per hour it's not quite as Exhilarating. So anyways, yeah,
- 26:38Speaker 2: we had a wonderful trip and I was really happy
- 26:41Speaker 2: to come home and see Phoebe and not be in humidity. Luckily,
- 26:47Speaker 2: the humidity here had dissipated.
- 26:50Speaker 3: I know.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I love going on vacation, but I love coming home too.
- 26:53Speaker 2: So I told Haley, I was like, how lucky are
- 26:55Speaker 2: we that we can go somewhere that beautiful and then
- 26:58Speaker 2: be so excited to come home and not have vacation blues? Yeah. Um,
- 27:03Speaker 2: jet lag.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Until your wedding though. That, that, that is, that is
- 27:06Speaker 1: some dark blue.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Oh, yikes.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Dark blue.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Something to look forward to.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Not when it's over.
- 27:11Speaker 2: I know. Oh yeah. Something to look forward to. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:14Speaker 1: I was like, I'm not going to get that. I
- 27:16Speaker 1: got a job to go.
- 27:18Speaker 3: To, you know.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Was it because what, what, where did the blue stem from?
- 27:24Speaker 1: I think it's because, and you don't even realize it,
- 27:27Speaker 1: you're so happy on your wedding day. Like, I was
- 27:31Speaker 1: like on not even cloud nine. Like, I was on
- 27:33Speaker 1: cloud like 9,000. You know what I mean? Like, it's
- 27:35Speaker 1: like you're marrying the love of your life. You're surrounded.
- 27:37Speaker 1: You're never going to be surrounded by... those, all those
- 27:41Speaker 1: people again, ever. Do you know what I mean? Like
- 27:43Speaker 1: the only time in your life, you're going to get
- 27:45Speaker 1: all those people and they're there to celebrate you. And like,
- 27:48Speaker 1: you're listening to your favorite songs, you're dancing. Like every, I,
- 27:51Speaker 1: I just, my wedding was exactly how I wanted it
- 27:53Speaker 1: to be. Like it was the time of my life
- 27:55Speaker 1: and then it's just over. And then it starts hitting
- 27:58Speaker 1: you like, Oh, like there, we're not gonna like, I
- 28:03Speaker 1: don't know. No reason to get together again.
- 28:06Speaker 2: No one's ever going to get together again.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Not that group. When am I going to get that
- 28:09Speaker 1: group together again?
- 28:10Speaker 2: I don't know. Like a renewal? A vow renewal?
- 28:14Speaker 1: If I did it locally. But then still, some people
- 28:16Speaker 1: like flew from New York, you know? So it gets dark.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Okay. Well, I'll be looking forward to that.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Push the wedding as far as you can.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Just so you have it to look forward to.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Because once it's over.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Man, well, now that we're kind of like... We have limited...
- 28:32Speaker 2: We're thinking... April or May. Of 2027?
- 28:36Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 28:38Speaker 3: 2028?
- 28:38Speaker 2: I was thinking of when we would do it would
- 28:41Speaker 2: be April or May or September or early October. This
- 28:47Speaker 2: feels backwards.
- 28:49Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I'm just saying not knowing the year or anything. I'm
- 28:51Speaker 2: just telling you the dates.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I know, but I think it depends where you get married.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I know. It matters because like you don't want to
- 28:58Speaker 1: get married in LA in September, October.
- 29:01Speaker 2: I don't think we're getting married in LA.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I'm just saying. You know what I mean?
- 29:04Speaker 2: But I think we're not getting married in.
- 29:06Speaker 1: LA, so. It's the first thing I could think of.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, yeah, it depends on where that
- 29:10Speaker 2: would be.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Because, like, if we got married in Australia, we can't
- 29:14Speaker 2: get married in the, I'm just kidding, we're not getting.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Married in Australia. No, but it makes a difference.
- 29:19Speaker 2: No, it does, so.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I think location matters most.
- 29:23Speaker 3: I know.
- 29:23Speaker 1: That's number one.
- 29:25Speaker 2: So we got to narrow that down.
- 29:26Speaker 1: We got to narrow that down.
- 29:28Speaker 2: First things first. No humidity. That's the first thing.
- 29:32Speaker 1: So yeah, it was great.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Food's amazing. The the people are amazing and the the
- 29:41Speaker 2: what you can get for the dollar there is crazy
- 29:44Speaker 2: incredible so highly recommend for an adventure of a lifetime
- 29:49Speaker 2: noted um Would you like doing that stuff on vacation?
- 29:55Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 29:56Speaker 2: I know. I was thinking that because I feel like
- 29:59Speaker 2: Robbie would. No, he wouldn't. Really?
- 30:03Speaker 1: Maybe like one day.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Yeah, we had one day.
- 30:07Speaker 1: I think because our day to day is so like
- 30:10Speaker 1: hectic and there's so much going on on vacation, we
- 30:12Speaker 1: just want to like sleep in, plop. eat, drink, play cards.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Like we just want to be chill. We don't want
- 30:21Speaker 1: to wake up and have to be like, there were
- 30:22Speaker 1: a couple, there was what day? Oh, we had a
- 30:24Speaker 1: boat day in Italy and we like missed the first
- 30:27Speaker 1: hour and a half because we just wanted to like
- 30:29Speaker 1: sleep in.
- 30:30Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 2: So y'all just were like, we booked it for this amount. Yeah.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I think you booked it at starting at 10 AM.
- 30:37Speaker 1: So we had like, so we set our alarms for
- 30:38Speaker 1: eight 30 and I'm like, never again. Do we do something?
- 30:41Speaker 1: We have to set an alarm on our, on a vacation.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I like that rule.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Cause we have alarms every other day, you know?
- 30:49Speaker 2: Love that. Yeah.
- 30:51Speaker 1: It's very important to find somebody that you have travel
- 30:53Speaker 1: compatibility with.
- 30:54Speaker 2: I know.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Well, cause that would be really tough. If Robbie was like,
- 30:57Speaker 1: we're going to do a hike and a bike and
- 31:00Speaker 1: a kayak. We thought we were.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Going to casually be jumping off the boat at different islands.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Oh, right.
- 31:07Speaker 2: So we also didn't know. Right, right, right.
- 31:09Speaker 1: But like what I'm saying, some people like to do that,
- 31:11Speaker 1: you know, like have different, like have schedules.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Yeah. Do activities.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Yeah, we have. I feel like Haley and I have
- 31:19Speaker 2: really found the balance where we travel really well together.
- 31:22Speaker 2: And if she will lay around and relax, which is
- 31:25Speaker 2: what I like to do, especially for a resort or something,
- 31:28Speaker 2: we'll not leave the resort. But then she needs like
- 31:31Speaker 2: a water activity or something to stimulate her mind.
- 31:34Speaker 1: A little swim.
- 31:35Speaker 2: A little e-foil.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Yeah. Fine.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Okay.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Should we get into anniversary memories from the pod?
- 31:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:47Speaker 1: When we come back?
- 31:48Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:50Speaker 3: We're back. We're back.
- 32:07Speaker 1: I just wanted to say Shana Tova to all of
- 32:10Speaker 1: our Jewish listeners.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Oh.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Jewish New Year.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Happy New Year.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Thank you so much. I rushed our Shana all weekend.
- 32:15Speaker 2: I know you were out and about.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Booked and busy.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Celebrating. And had full blown meltdown too.
- 32:22Speaker 5: Why?
- 32:22Speaker 1: Because it's the iHeartRadio Music Festival this weekend and I
- 32:25Speaker 1: have nothing to wear and my clothes don't fit me.
- 32:27Speaker 1: And I'm like not even being like I'm not exaggerating
- 32:31Speaker 1: when I say that. Like I tried on a dress
- 32:33Speaker 1: that I wore at Rosh Hashanah last year and it
- 32:34Speaker 1: was so tight. I was like I looked like a
- 32:36Speaker 1: sausage in it. And I just was started spiraling.
- 32:40Speaker 2: I thought you looked so beautiful this weekend in all
- 32:43Speaker 2: your outfits.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Thank you. Appreciate that.
- 32:46Speaker 2: And I know that you have some outfits in your closet.
- 32:50Speaker 2: You're just not feeling creatively inspired. I don't know.
- 32:57Speaker 1: I'm like too scared to try them on. Like that's
- 32:59Speaker 1: I think where I'm at. Like I'm like I need
- 33:01Speaker 1: to buy new things because I don't want I'm scared
- 33:04Speaker 1: to try stuff on in my closet.
- 33:07Speaker 2: So what's the solution here?
- 33:09Speaker 1: Not sure. Time's a ticking. And I have to be
- 33:13Speaker 1: clothed this weekend.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Oh, you do.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. We'll see how that turns out.
- 33:17Speaker 2: What about just an aloe set?
- 33:19Speaker 1: Could you imagine? I think I need to be like
- 33:21Speaker 1: somewhat dressed up. But I am thinking about being a
- 33:24Speaker 1: little more casual. Like jeans and like cute blazer or something.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Just easy peasy.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Yeah, like blazer is definitely going to work. Oh, yeah.
- 33:33Speaker 3: A blazer.
- 33:34Speaker 2: When all else fails, blaze.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Blaze. Blaze and blaze.
- 33:38Speaker 2: There's no... Nothing a blazer can't fix.
- 33:41Speaker 1: I bought a pair of capris.
- 33:44Speaker 2: I've had this.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Experience as well. When I tell you the amount of
- 33:48Speaker 1: things I tried to make them work... And I bought them.
- 33:51Speaker 1: So these capris fit me. I bought them a week ago.
- 33:54Speaker 1: So they fit. It's not even about them fitting. It's
- 33:56Speaker 1: about the way they made me look. I was like.
- 34:00Speaker 1: I'm just in a season of life right now where...
- 34:04Speaker 1: things are just happening to my body like things are
- 34:06Speaker 1: just happening and I have to like pivot and adjust
- 34:09Speaker 1: but the capris were a very very terrible.
- 34:13Speaker 5: The blaze didn't help the capris and the blaze did
- 34:17Speaker 5: not help the capris I imagine because if you did
- 34:19Speaker 5: an oversized blazer with capris it may have made you
- 34:23Speaker 5: look short It's what I imagined.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Well, I, so I have, I got the capris that
- 34:29Speaker 1: were like, um, uh, like spandex.
- 34:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Like spandex. Not like loose ones.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 34:36Speaker 1: So they're like leggings.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Right.
- 34:37Speaker 1: And they cut off like right at my, like in
- 34:40Speaker 1: between the cuts, my knee and half. So it's right there.
- 34:43Speaker 1: And then I was trying it on with like these
- 34:45Speaker 1: Mary Janes that have like around my ankle, like really
- 34:47Speaker 1: high heels. The really tall ones? Yeah. Terrible idea. Yeah.
- 34:51Speaker 2: You can't cut off the ankle with Capri. If your
- 34:54Speaker 2: knee is cut off, you can't cut off the ankle.
- 34:56Speaker 1: PSA to anybody, if you're trying on a Capri, don't
- 34:58Speaker 1: cut off the ankle because I was about to cut
- 35:01Speaker 1: off my ankle.
- 35:04Speaker 2: No, you almost need an open toe, like open foot.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I need the shoes that have no feet on them.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Have you seen those? Oh, the ones that Margaret Cawley wore?
- 35:17Speaker 2: Those would not help with the shortening of the length.
- 35:21Speaker 3: No.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Jeffrey Campbell's selling them now, too. I saw an ad.
- 35:25Speaker 2: I don't think that will make you feel good to
- 35:27Speaker 2: try on those with the capris.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Well, anyways.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Okay, so no capri blazer combo?
- 35:34Speaker 1: If times get tough, if I can't find anything in
- 35:38Speaker 1: the next couple days, it's going to be blaze and
- 35:40Speaker 1: capri and Vegas.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I think it could work if you do the right shoe.
- 35:46Speaker 2: It's got to be a high heel, and it's got
- 35:48Speaker 2: to be like a slip-on, like a mule, not an
- 35:52Speaker 2: ankle cut.
- 35:52Speaker 1: I have to bring my toe separators to Vegas. That's
- 35:55Speaker 1: for sure.
- 35:56Speaker 2: What's that?
- 35:57Speaker 1: You haven't seen them?
- 35:58Speaker 2: No.
- 35:59Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Okay.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Also, what's going on with the basket you're carrying around?
- 36:05Speaker 1: Oh, it's for my back.
- 36:08Speaker 2: And there's not.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Could you do a rolly bag? Yeah.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Do you have one?
- 36:16Speaker 2: Yeah. You do? Haley has one that she used because
- 36:18Speaker 2: of her bag.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Oh, but it's like a backpack. It's a roller. Yeah,
- 36:22Speaker 1: but it's like a backpack.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Right?
- 36:24Speaker 1: It's like a small bag that like rolls.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I need like, I need like, I need to fit
- 36:29Speaker 1: lots of things in there. Computers, food, lunch, dinner, breakfast,
- 36:34Speaker 1: water bottles.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Why every meal?
- 36:35Speaker 1: I just need to have space. It needs to be large.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Okay. Okay.
- 36:41Speaker 1: I sent you a picture of the toe separators.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Oh, what's this? Is this just something someone told you
- 36:45Speaker 2: you needed? It's to stretch your toes.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I saw it on Instagram. I think Tinks. I think
- 36:49Speaker 1: I was watching Tinks post about it like every day.
- 36:51Speaker 1: And I was like, that looks really delicious.
- 36:52Speaker 2: What do they do?
- 36:54Speaker 1: They separate your toes.
- 36:55Speaker 2: I know, but I see that. I do see what
- 36:58Speaker 2: they do. But what is the benefit?
- 37:01Speaker 1: To stretch them out. For what? Because you're always jamming
- 37:04Speaker 1: them in these, like, closed-toed mules. Not with these bad boys.
- 37:08Speaker 1: They get stretched back out, and it is heavenly.
- 37:13Speaker 2: You don't wear these with the heels, though.
- 37:15Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 37:15Speaker 1: I just had my feet up on the bed, like, just, like,
- 37:17Speaker 1: with my mask on.
- 37:17Speaker 2: And then after you have a long day in heels,
- 37:19Speaker 2: you put those bad boys on.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Oof.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Have you ever heard the term consumerism final boss?
- 37:26Speaker 1: No, but I think that's me. Is that me?
- 37:29Speaker 2: Speaking of.
- 37:30Speaker 3: What?
- 37:31Speaker 2: The news you sent about the body pillow.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Something huge happened.
- 37:39Speaker 1: I don't know if he wants me to share it
- 37:40Speaker 1: on the podcast, but here we go. Robbie tried my
- 37:43Speaker 1: body pillow. He loved it the first night, okay? To
- 37:48Speaker 1: the point where he said, I need to, like, verify
- 37:51Speaker 1: that I like it, so I'm going to sleep with
- 37:53Speaker 1: it one more night. And I was like, you're lucky
- 37:55Speaker 1: it's the weekend, because... The weekend, my sleep can suffer
- 37:59Speaker 1: a little bit, but during the weekdays, like, that's it. Yeah.
- 38:02Speaker 1: So he loved it again the second night. He wanted
- 38:05Speaker 1: to try it just the third, just to really make sure.
- 38:07Speaker 1: And I said, I'm buying you your own. I'm done
- 38:09Speaker 1: with this. I need mine back. So I bought him
- 38:11Speaker 1: his own.
- 38:11Speaker 3: Wow.
- 38:12Speaker 1: He's still not sure.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Why?
- 38:14Speaker 2: I don't know. Is he having a good night's sleep?
- 38:17Speaker 3: Yes.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Oh. How did you sleep without it?
- 38:20Speaker 3: Horrible. Like really?
- 38:22Speaker 1: Not horrible, but like I had to have two separate giant,
- 38:25Speaker 1: one in between my legs, one around my arms. So
- 38:28Speaker 1: I had like, and then I flip-flops and then I
- 38:30Speaker 1: had two pillows that I had to like turn.
- 38:32Speaker 2: So we're not touching at night at all?
- 38:33Speaker 1: No, not at all. We never have.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Oh.
- 38:36Speaker 1: When we go to sleep, we like go our separate ways.
- 38:38Speaker 1: We like cuddle and then, but now it's going to
- 38:40Speaker 1: be amazing with like both of us in our little.
- 38:44Speaker 1: There's gonna be no.
- 38:45Speaker 2: I mean i want like a drone shot of y'all
- 38:47Speaker 2: from above so i go to buy his he goes
- 38:50Speaker 2: can you make mine like get it like manly colors
- 38:52Speaker 2: i'm like sure babe you get like a pillowcase with
- 38:56Speaker 2: trucks on it yeah yeah yeah monster.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Trucks so i got them blue and gray and mine's
- 39:02Speaker 1: pink and tan.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Well um.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I'd like you to try it, too.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Can I borrow one of y'all's? Because it's a big,
- 39:13Speaker 2: it's a big, it's a big addition. Like, where do
- 39:16Speaker 2: you put it when you make the bed?
- 39:18Speaker 1: I put it on, like, we have a little, I
- 39:21Speaker 1: don't know what you call it. On the bottom of
- 39:24Speaker 1: your bed, you have, like, a little, like, bench. yeah
- 39:26Speaker 1: put them on the benches.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Okay bench so not visually stunning.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Well it takes me five minutes to make the bed
- 39:32Speaker 1: and then i put them back on the bed oh
- 39:34Speaker 1: oh you're saying yeah they lay on top of the
- 39:35Speaker 1: bed it's not cute but like how many people are
- 39:38Speaker 1: coming in to scope out your bedroom on a.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Daily basis true true if.
- 39:41Speaker 1: We ever had a party in our bedroom i would
- 39:43Speaker 1: sash them away yeah yeah Find a spot for them. Yeah,
- 39:46Speaker 1: but that's not happening.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Okay.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Well, I'm not opposed to trying it. Okay, shall we
- 39:53Speaker 2: get into nine years of scrubbing in?
- 39:56Speaker 1: Yes, we shall.
- 39:58Speaker 2: So the first scrub was on this day.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Yeah, in 2017.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Nine years ago with Jason George from Grey's Anatomy.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Yep.
- 40:09Speaker 2: And... I was so stoked because when I started the podcast,
- 40:14Speaker 2: the whole concept was that I was going to be
- 40:16Speaker 2: talking to people from my favorite shows, and we were
- 40:19Speaker 2: going to be reviewing other TV shows. And basically, at first,
- 40:24Speaker 2: I would just do long monologues, and Mark and Easton
- 40:26Speaker 2: would just look at me, and I would be like,
- 40:29Speaker 2: can you speak to me? Someone talk to me. But
- 40:33Speaker 2: then we had Jason George on, and he was a
- 40:36Speaker 2: wonderful first guest.
- 40:37Speaker 1: He's just a wonderful human being.
- 40:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:40Speaker 2: And I was so excited because I was like, oh
- 40:42Speaker 2: my gosh, my first guest is someone from Grey's Anatomy
- 40:45Speaker 2: right now. And obviously, the name of the show was
- 40:49Speaker 2: based off of my love for Grey's Anatomy. And if
- 40:53Speaker 2: you don't know the origin story, basically, of Tanya coming on,
- 40:58Speaker 2: I had my sisters, Caroline and Hank, come on. And
- 41:01Speaker 2: at the time... They weren't out to me. And so
- 41:07Speaker 2: I was trying to have girl talk with them. And
- 41:11Speaker 2: first of all, my sisters are so funny. They're so
- 41:13Speaker 2: funny and they're so witty and quick. And I thought
- 41:16Speaker 2: they'd be so fun to have on the podcast. But
- 41:19Speaker 2: I went into it being like, so what do you
- 41:21Speaker 2: look for in a guy? And they were both just staring.
- 41:23Speaker 2: There was just nothing going on.
- 41:25Speaker 1: You know, not everybody can podcast, Becca. Well, I think
- 41:28Speaker 1: it's very tough what we do.
- 41:29Speaker 2: I think I threw them off with my questions because
- 41:31Speaker 2: they're probably like, why is... Is she asking us this?
- 41:35Speaker 2: So I told Mark we're cutting the segment, but he
- 41:39Speaker 2: was like, we got to fill it in. And Tanya
- 41:41Speaker 2: was still here at the studio after doing the morning show.
- 41:44Speaker 2: And so I was like, yo, will you come be
- 41:49Speaker 2: on the podcast? And I remember we were talking, and
- 41:52Speaker 2: I remember I think Amy was in the room, and
- 41:54Speaker 2: I looked over at Amy, and I was like, this
- 41:57Speaker 2: is what I want the podcast to be. So Tanya was...
- 42:01Speaker 2: you were just scrubbing in basically every week for a while.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:04Speaker 2: But it wasn't officially. No.
- 42:06Speaker 1: And it probably would never have been. It would still
- 42:08Speaker 1: be scrubbing in with Becca Tilly. Had you not gone
- 42:11Speaker 1: to bat for me in the beginning of this podcast,
- 42:14Speaker 1: like it would still be nine years later, scrubbing in
- 42:16Speaker 1: with Becca Tilly. Had you not fought for me. So
- 42:19Speaker 1: I would just like to nine years later, still thank
- 42:22Speaker 1: you for that.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I think Robbie would have stepped in at some point
- 42:25Speaker 2: once you met him and said, Hey, like, Yeah.
- 42:28Speaker 1: This is against the law, against the jurisdiction of the
- 42:31Speaker 1: 20th Amendment. But no, like it was very, you didn't
- 42:37Speaker 1: have to do that. You didn't need to do that.
- 42:40Speaker 2: I mean, I definitely.
- 42:41Speaker 1: But you did do that.
- 42:44Speaker 2: I needed to and I wanted to.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:47Speaker 2: It was always supposed to be both of us. So
- 42:51Speaker 2: we got Tanya added.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:53Speaker 1: By the way, before we move on from that. I
- 42:56Speaker 1: had like a crazy idea, but I need you on
- 42:59Speaker 1: board with it.
- 43:00Speaker 2: What?
- 43:02Speaker 1: And maybe it's like in place of a Dear Banya
- 43:04Speaker 1: every once in a while, but like I was seeing these,
- 43:06Speaker 1: I'm seeing all this Grey's, all the old Grey's Anatomy
- 43:09Speaker 1: stuff on my feed.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Because I think it's new on some streaming site.
- 43:12Speaker 2: I think every now and then new groups of people
- 43:17Speaker 2: discover it.
- 43:18Speaker 1: I think it's like just newly added. Within the last month,
- 43:20Speaker 1: it was like newly added to a different streamer, if
- 43:23Speaker 1: I am correct.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Is it back on Netflix? Because didn't it leave Netflix
- 43:29Speaker 2: or something? It changed in March of 24.
- 43:31Speaker 1: So I don't think it's recent. That track that I'm
- 43:35Speaker 1: just seeing it now.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Tanya just discovered it's been added to a new platform
- 43:41Speaker 2: two years ago.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Okay, so it just got added in 2024. And so
- 43:45Speaker 1: I'm seeing these clips show up now on my Instagram reels.
- 43:49Speaker 1: And I'm like wanting to go back and rewatch the
- 43:52Speaker 1: first season.
- 43:53Speaker 2: I'd be so down to do that. Right?
- 43:55Speaker 1: Like, we watch, like, an episode and, like, talk about
- 43:57Speaker 1: how it made us feel.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Like a rewatch podcast, but, like, it's not... It's just us.
- 44:01Speaker 2: It's not our show, but someone else's show. Yeah.
- 44:04Speaker 1: And it's just, like, an aside. Like, it's not, like,
- 44:06Speaker 1: regularly scheduled. Like, if you're a scrubber and you don't
- 44:09Speaker 1: want to do that, you don't have to listen to it.
- 44:10Speaker 1: It's just there if you'd like.
- 44:13Speaker 2: I love that idea because sometimes I see the old
- 44:15Speaker 2: clips and I'm like, oh, gosh, this show was just incredible. Yeah. Yeah,
- 44:25Speaker 2: I'd be down to do that.
- 44:26Speaker 1: But if you think about some of the guests we've
- 44:29Speaker 1: had on this podcast, it's like kind of crazy. Like
- 44:32Speaker 1: we had Sabrina Carpenter as a scrubbing and regular at
- 44:35Speaker 1: one point. And now she's the biggest pop star on
- 44:38Speaker 1: the planet. So I know you're welcome.
- 44:40Speaker 2: And I passed out in front of her.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Completely passed out in front of her.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Yeah. Never forget.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Puked and not rallied.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Did not rally. Well, I rallied after a few hours
- 44:54Speaker 2: of resting.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Not even.
- 44:56Speaker 2: What?
- 44:57Speaker 1: You didn't rally. You were like drinking Gatorade and eating
- 44:59Speaker 1: pizza like you were alive, but you wouldn't rally.
- 45:01Speaker 2: I would say that's rallying that I came on and
- 45:03Speaker 2: did a podcast in that state.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Puking rally is when you like go, if you're like
- 45:07Speaker 1: drunk at a club, you like puke in the bathroom
- 45:08Speaker 1: and you keep partying.
- 45:10Speaker 2: I couldn't come back to party because I was green.
- 45:14Speaker 2: It was the color of... I was green.
- 45:17Speaker 1: That video is like, honestly, one of my favorite videos
- 45:20Speaker 1: of all time. Just watching Becca go down.
- 45:24Speaker 2: But watching Tanya's face never break, but her eyes are
- 45:28Speaker 2: kind of, she looks, she.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Looks down on me.
- 45:29Speaker 1: I was like trying to like signal to everybody, like, hello,
- 45:32Speaker 1: Becca is on the ground. Becca is on the floor.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Can somebody get her a bucket? Like I was trying
- 45:37Speaker 1: to like cue people to like help you. Cause I didn't,
- 45:40Speaker 1: I couldn't just like, I had to keep interviewing Sabrina
- 45:42Speaker 1: Carpenter who had no idea what was going on. She
- 45:48Speaker 1: was talking to two people, and then she was just
- 45:49Speaker 1: talking to one. Yeah.
- 45:51Speaker 2: She's a professional.
- 45:52Speaker 1: She didn't skip a beat. Y'all both didn't skip a beat.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Just professionals at what you do. You know, it would
- 45:57Speaker 1: have made more sense for me to be like, Becca
- 45:59Speaker 1: just passed out. Like, why didn't I acknowledge it?
- 46:02Speaker 3: Well, because I.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Don't think you were actually 100% with it also.
- 46:08Speaker 1: That's true.
- 46:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you were.
- 46:09Speaker 1: I was pretty wasted.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Here's what happened. We had.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Been in the pool.
- 46:16Speaker 1: It was 109 degrees.
- 46:18Speaker 2: I was served many spicy margaritas, but because I was
- 46:22Speaker 2: in the pool. At least six. At least six. What's
- 46:26Speaker 2: the word? Buoyancy?
- 46:27Speaker 1: Buoyancy?
- 46:28Speaker 3: Buoyancy.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Made me feel light as a feather. I felt like
- 46:33Speaker 2: it was just going in.
- 46:35Speaker 1: And coming out your pores.
- 46:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:37Speaker 2: I was not even feeling anything. And then I have this.
- 46:40Speaker 2: It was like Easton standing over me outside of the pool,
- 46:43Speaker 2: and it was like a mirage. He was spitting. He
- 46:46Speaker 2: was spinning in my head. And he's like, Becca, we
- 46:49Speaker 2: have to go do the interview with Sabrina Carpenter. And
- 46:53Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah. So I get out. I go walk in.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Tanya answers the door. Mascara down her face. And I'm like,
- 47:03Speaker 2: we have to do the interview. We're both just like
- 47:07Speaker 2: fumbling around. Danielle's fumbling around.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Yeah, we were all a mess.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Easton and Allison were poor, poor.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Sober as, sober as a.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Thank God for them. We could have all been.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, we could have used a little, a
- 47:23Speaker 1: little common sense by them telling us to zip it.
- 47:28Speaker 2: It was really, really memorable.
- 47:31Speaker 1: But I always think about that. Like, I'm like, why
- 47:33Speaker 1: did I not acknowledge it to Sabrina? Like, oh, Becca
- 47:35Speaker 1: just had a little too much to drink and she's
- 47:37Speaker 1: passed out. I'm like, I guess.
- 47:39Speaker 2: We didn't want to seem like we were unprofessional that
- 47:41Speaker 2: we had been like drinking that much that I passed out. Yeah.
- 47:46Speaker 2: I think you handled it the right way.
- 47:48Speaker 1: You think so?
- 47:49Speaker 2: Hard to say. Yeah, I think about us coming into
- 47:53Speaker 2: the podcast and being where we were scrubs a lot.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Like we would just get dressed up in scrubs.
- 47:59Speaker 1: I still have all those scrubs. And I'm like, I
- 48:00Speaker 1: just can't get rid of them for some reason.
- 48:01Speaker 2: I think I did. I think I got rid of
- 48:04Speaker 2: all of them.
- 48:04Speaker 1: That's dark.
- 48:05Speaker 2: I know. But just because.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Mine are put away.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Mine were put away, but they were taking up a lot.
- 48:10Speaker 1: I had a lot.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Me too.
- 48:11Speaker 1: I'm like purple, blue, light blue, gray.
- 48:14Speaker 2: And they got a little tight. So I thought.
- 48:17Speaker 1: I'm not even going to go there.
- 48:21Speaker 2: But some of the favorite stories that people recall. was
- 48:25Speaker 2: you having gas at the nail salon, which never forget.
- 48:29Speaker 2: It was Tanya got up to go pay. And as
- 48:34Speaker 2: she was walking.
- 48:35Speaker 1: No, but you have to preface it with, this is
- 48:37Speaker 1: when I was like chewing lots of sugar-free gum. Like
- 48:40Speaker 1: I was on, I don't even know why I was
- 48:42Speaker 1: on this like kick, but I was just chewing sugar-free gum.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Like it was nobody's business. Like, you know, those, those
- 48:48Speaker 1: things that you can get of like orbit gum that
- 48:49Speaker 1: are like this big, like I could go through one
- 48:52Speaker 1: of those in like an hour. Yeah, like a lot.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Like I wasn't just like popping in one or two.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Like I was like, because they lose flavor. But what
- 48:57Speaker 1: was the reason? They would lose flavor. So I'd like chew, chew, chew, chew,
- 49:00Speaker 1: spit it out, put in more, chew, chew, chew, chew, chew.
- 49:02Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 49:04Speaker 2: That's xylitol, right? And that causes the problem. Xylitol can
- 49:08Speaker 2: affect some people heavily. And Tanya was one of them.
- 49:11Speaker 2: And as you heard, she was an addict with sugar-free gum.
- 49:15Speaker 1: I had so many different flavors.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Just never not, yeah. is how I would describe you.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Correct.
- 49:23Speaker 2: N-N-G.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Yeah. That was the loudest fart in public I think
- 49:27Speaker 1: I've ever had in my life.
- 49:28Speaker 2: It wasn't just one.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like a trail. It was a trail
- 49:31Speaker 1: of farts.
- 49:32Speaker 2: It was one.
- 49:32Speaker 5: Anytime I walked, it stepped.
- 49:35Speaker 2: It put pressure on her. Yeah. And she's just laughing.
- 49:38Speaker 2: There was nothing.
- 49:39Speaker 1: And then when I was laughing, it kept going more
- 49:43Speaker 1: and more. Like it was like, it was just so insane.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like released canon.
- 49:49Speaker 1: I remember the day. I remember it so vividly the
- 49:52Speaker 1: day that 95P was birthed. It was at our San
- 49:57Speaker 1: Francisco live show. Somebody asked in Truth or Drink, what
- 50:01Speaker 1: percentage do you think you're going to marry your partner?
- 50:03Speaker 1: And Becca said 95P. Percent. I think you said percent.
- 50:08Speaker 2: And we chopped it.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Yeah, 95%. Yeah.
- 50:11Speaker 2: 95%. And it was at the live show. So Haley
- 50:13Speaker 2: was in the audience. And everybody thought you guys were friends.
- 50:19Speaker 2: I mean, I think some people, yeah. But I just
- 50:23Speaker 2: remember being like, okay, I have to, I don't want
- 50:26Speaker 2: to freak her out because we hadn't had that conversation.
- 50:29Speaker 2: Like I knew she was my person and I assumed
- 50:32Speaker 2: she felt the same way, but I didn't want to
- 50:33Speaker 2: freak her out. And then I didn't want to go
- 50:35Speaker 2: too low.
- 50:37Speaker 1: You could have gone 90 and still been safe, I think.
- 50:39Speaker 1: 95 was aggressive.
- 50:40Speaker 2: And everyone went crazy. Yeah. And then 95P. Yeah, was born. Pronoun,
- 50:49Speaker 2: 95P and pronoun free. Yeah.
- 50:51Speaker 1: Was the podcast. I also remember the day that we
- 50:54Speaker 1: found out we got nominated for a People's Choice Award.
- 50:56Speaker 1: We literally thought we were getting punked. Like we thought
- 50:58Speaker 1: it was like some joke.
- 50:59Speaker 2: I remember this too. Yeah. And I remember looking at
- 51:02Speaker 2: the other nominees and it was Oprah. It was all
- 51:05Speaker 2: these massive podcasts and I was like, wow, it's just
- 51:08Speaker 2: an honor to be in this list with these people.
- 51:11Speaker 1: I didn't think it was real until like, I actually
- 51:13Speaker 1: went to the website and saw it there. I was like,
- 51:16Speaker 1: somebody's punking with us or like somebody's punking people on
- 51:18Speaker 1: our team. Cause like, I remember Amy Sugarman was like
- 51:20Speaker 1: telling us like, this can't be true. And it happened.
- 51:25Speaker 2: It was.
- 51:25Speaker 1: And we won.
- 51:25Speaker 2: And we won twice because of our scrubbers.
- 51:30Speaker 1: It's so insane.
- 51:31Speaker 2: It was 1000% our scrubbers. Like there was, they went
- 51:37Speaker 2: so hard. 100%.
- 51:37Speaker 1: I mean, it's not our content. yeah yeah it's hard
- 51:48Speaker 1: scrubbers 100 although i do think that we have some
- 51:51Speaker 1: riveting content.
- 51:52Speaker 2: We do we do feel good if you nine years
- 51:54Speaker 2: it's hard to be just 100 every time you.
- 51:58Speaker 1: Know i think we're 95.
- 52:00Speaker 2: 95 every time well um and then you got engaged
- 52:04Speaker 2: yep never forget happy anniversary by the way thank you
- 52:07Speaker 2: so much anniversary.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Thank you I love that y'all are still celebrating. We
- 52:12Speaker 1: didn't really celebrate. We acknowledged it.
- 52:15Speaker 2: That's something.
- 52:16Speaker 1: Yeah. He said it. He said happy engagement anniversary, like
- 52:19Speaker 1: right when we woke up. So I was happy that
- 52:21Speaker 1: he remembered. And then that, oh, and then he brought
- 52:24Speaker 1: me flowers that night.
- 52:25Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:25Speaker 1: And then I wrote him a card and like put
- 52:28Speaker 1: just like a picture of us from the engagement, like
- 52:30Speaker 1: on the table. And then I rewatched all my videos
- 52:34Speaker 1: from the day, which was so sweet. I didn't realize
- 52:37Speaker 1: my mother-in-law videotapes everything. She always has her phone out
- 52:41Speaker 1: and she's filming everything. And she always sends the videos.
- 52:44Speaker 1: But I think because I was on such a high
- 52:46Speaker 1: from our engagement, I never watched them in the moment.
- 52:50Speaker 1: I never watched them until this year. So I was
- 52:53Speaker 1: watching all her videos from even before I came out
- 52:55Speaker 1: and stuff like that. It was really cute. And then
- 52:57Speaker 1: I watched the video that you made and the one
- 53:00Speaker 1: that Pound Sophia made. I just cried a lot. And
- 53:07Speaker 1: then the one where you got engaged.
- 53:08Speaker 2: And then I got engaged and was totally surprised and
- 53:16Speaker 2: thrown off. I realize I love being surprised, but I
- 53:20Speaker 2: also hate being surprised. Like, I have very... I was
- 53:24Speaker 2: so impressed that she was able to surprise me because
- 53:27Speaker 2: I think I'm hard to surprise. Maybe I'm not as
- 53:29Speaker 2: hard as I think I am. But I was so
- 53:32Speaker 2: certain that I was going to propose first. So it
- 53:35Speaker 2: caught me off guard.
- 53:36Speaker 1: I was shook to my core. Shook to my core.
- 53:40Speaker 2: I know. That was crazy.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Crazy. I was on my honeymoon when you guys told me.
- 53:47Speaker 2: I know. I remember. Never forget.
- 53:49Speaker 1: And the day before, which is the day you got engaged,
- 53:52Speaker 1: we had a double rainbow. At our honeymoon in Anguilla.
- 53:55Speaker 3: Allies.
- 53:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:57Speaker 2: Literally.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Which was the day you got engaged because it was
- 53:59Speaker 1: the day before.
- 53:59Speaker 2: That's so cool. I didn't know that.
- 54:01Speaker 1: I'll send you a picture.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Please do.
- 54:03Speaker 1: July 3rd in Anguilla.
- 54:04Speaker 2: You never sent me that.
- 54:05Speaker 1: I didn't? I didn't tell you that?
- 54:07Speaker 2: Didn't know. Well, we've had a really fun.
- 54:13Speaker 1: You didn't even talk about that at Earl Meets World Show.
- 54:15Speaker 2: Let's talk about it. We have six minutes.
- 54:19Speaker 1: Not enough. Maybe we'll do it on Thursday when we
- 54:21Speaker 1: come back for Giovanni.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 54:22Speaker 3: We'll have.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Why squeeze something in.
- 54:26Speaker 1: When we could just talk about it longer on Thursday's episode?
- 54:28Speaker 1: I'm going to write it down in a Post-it note.
- 54:30Speaker 1: So you don't forget. We'll put it right here on
- 54:31Speaker 1: my monitor for the next three days.
- 54:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 54:33Speaker 1: We'll see you Thursday when we come in. Okay.
- 54:35Speaker 2: All right. I'm so happy to be back. Happy nine
- 54:39Speaker 2: years of scrubbing in. Happy nine years, Marcus. Thank you
- 54:42Speaker 2: very much. I was here for Jason George, yes.
- 54:45Speaker 1: Jason G. G. J. G. J. G.
- 54:49Speaker 2: Yeah. And we'll be back to celebrate more this week
- 54:53Speaker 2: on Thursday with a Dear Banya episode. And we love
- 54:56Speaker 2: you all so much.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Happy anniversary.
- 54:58Speaker 2: Happy anniversary.
- 54:59Speaker 1: To nine more.
- 55:00Speaker 2: And to nine more years of scrubbing in.
- 55:07Speaker 1: I'm drinking to that.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Bye.
