- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Firazzo.
- 0:20Welcome friends and family in Christ is the death of Charlie Kirk, the brutal assassination.
- 0:28Execution. Was that another turning point that happened in our time?
- 0:35Today, we're going to talk about cycles, upheaval, revolution, and bringing in our guest
- 0:42former aviator and author Pete Garcia, the website is rev310.net. Rev310.net. Pete,
- 0:51thanks so much for being on again. Appreciate your time, brother.
- 0:55Thanks, Sam. It's going to be back with you.
- 0:57Yep. Good to have you. So, I want to direct people to your Facebook page because I really like a
- 1:02post that you put up on September 14. So, friends, scroll back a week or so. Go back to that and
- 1:09you talked about Charlie Kirk's just the way he lived fearlessly and that he was willing to
- 1:16cross the political aisle and this boldness that he had now stirred a new generation of believers
- 1:24and we're seeing as we're recording this podcast, we're seeing a little bit of, I don't know if
- 1:30I want to call it fruit, from the effect of his life and his teaching and his respect and love
- 1:38for people and his concern about the nation and free speech and his ability to reach out and
- 1:44ask people questions and not get defensive and angry. He was just an amazing example for a lot
- 1:50of people. His clips are going viral. So, just overall, I know you wrote about it on Facebook
- 1:56and we'll talk more about it but your overall sense of where we're at now because this is a very
- 2:02fascinating time. This was not a politician but this was like you and me out in public.
- 2:09Only he had a massive audience there and it was now we have social media on top of it. So, Pete,
- 2:14another turning point, right? Yeah, definitely a turning point, not the first, not the last,
- 2:22in my opinion, but definitely one of those moments in time we're never going to go back to the way
- 2:29we were and certainly his fearlessness and boldness should be a point of, I don't know, say envy,
- 2:41but a point of, he should have sparked some type of envy with the pulpits and the pastors
- 2:49and the ministers that he was willing to go and do these things in such a public form against
- 2:56and usually a hostile territory where many of the pastors refused to go out. They wouldn't even
- 3:02stick their toe out into these crowds because they're used to the standing behind a pulpit and
- 3:07they've got a pretty receptive audience of their congregants that go there every day and kind of
- 3:12believe what they believe but it's a different story when you go out into a hostile world and there's
- 3:17people that are going to shout, try to shout you down, they're going to get ugly, they're going to
- 3:21get in your face and Charlie was out there for years. I mean, he was constantly out there
- 3:28doing what pastors and preachers should be doing yet he never claimed to be not there.
- 3:33And you know, that to me, I think, is a point of issue that modern pastors are really missing
- 3:40the mark on. They are supposed to be the ones leading the cultural change in their communities
- 3:47and by cultural change, I mean, to biblical values. Just think back to the black
- 3:54robe of pastors back in the revolutionary war. Yep. I mean, these guys were the ones that
- 4:04were leading the charge against the tyrannical King George and all of the abuses that they had
- 4:12suffered under that that brish empire then. But now pastors, and I'm not picking on pastors,
- 4:18I mean, certainly God has called them to speak to, you know, many of them feel like they're
- 4:24speaking to, they're being called to do something. But I feel like a lot of them are hirelies.
- 4:29You know, they're not the shepherds that God called. Instead, they're sitting back and they don't
- 4:35want to go out there because it's uncomfortable. Well, that's what Charlie thrived. He thrived
- 4:39in the uncomfortable areas and he made a difference and I think in his death is going to bring even more
- 4:45movement in his belief that this turning point USA movement in ways that his life probably
- 4:54never could have. And you know, certainly young kids, kids that grew up on TikTok don't know
- 4:59anything about Charlie Kirk, know about him now and they're listening to him now. And it's terrible
- 5:05that it cost, you know, this movement cost him his death or cost him his life. But it's certainly
- 5:13God is going to use that for good, even though it was a terrible event. He's going to bring something
- 5:18good out of it. Well, if it's fascinating in such a short time, we're already seeing some of this
- 5:23good. We're already seeing a lot of young people watching this video is going to church. They're
- 5:27putting out on videos. Hey, I've never been to church before, but I'm just sensing now is a time I
- 5:32need to go and get my life in order or whatever. We're seeing so many of these testimonies plus
- 5:38tens of thousands of requests for turning point USA chapters in highs from high school students
- 5:45and college students. We're hoping hopefully they'll be able to be administer all that and be able
- 5:50to handle all that new traffic and hopefully they'll have a crew and they'll have enough staff.
- 5:56Whether they're going to be hiring new people, I'm sure because this is really going to grow
- 5:59Pete. But like you said, it's another turning point we've had many will probably have another.
- 6:04They tried to take Trump out twice that we know, you know, probably more than that in many
- 6:10different ways, law fair and then the assassination attempts. Would you care to speak to that and
- 6:15just wear our cultures at as we're in this cycle of, I don't know why I'm just called political
- 6:22violence, but I would say intolerance of the biblical worldview and maybe conservative politics.
- 6:29So, I talked a little bit about how we were in right now the fourth industrial revolution.
- 6:39So there's a lot of different layers of where we are in time right now because these cycles that
- 6:44happen, they're not just technological or industrial, they're sometimes their societal, cultural
- 6:49and they all overlap each other. So in many regards, we've been told that we're in the fourth
- 6:55turning point, which is coincides with the fourth industrial revolution moving from the
- 7:01kind of the standard electronics and the standard devices and things that we'd be an under for,
- 7:07you know, 30 or 40 years prior to that, moving into the cyber physical, moving the internet,
- 7:12artificial intelligence, all that stuff into these systems and then moving these systems into
- 7:16everything that we have. If it can be plugged into the internet, it will be and up to and
- 7:22including the human themselves. So we're moving into that direction. Underneath that, we've had
- 7:27these other cycles, Strauss and Howe had this generational theory about how every 80 years there is
- 7:36kind of a reset point, the fourth turning where everything crashes and we start over again kind of
- 7:42in a way. And those cycles are broken up in the 20 year periods and, you know, there are like many
- 7:48movements within the overall revolution of it as well. So cycles within a revolution.
- 7:55And each generation 20 years or so, you can see this looking back to the World War I with
- 8:02the Boomer generation or not World War I, World War II. The Boomer's and then the, I'm trying to
- 8:10think who came out in the 60s and 70s, like a generic generation X, then you have millennials,
- 8:15Gen Z, etc. We kind of categorize these people by the years that they're born in. And you can see
- 8:20them take on these kind of flavors that Strauss and Howe were talking about whether you're the
- 8:25profit generation, the artist, the, you know, the nomad, the artist, and the hero. And these all fit
- 8:33within these turnings. And certainly within the United States history, we can see 80 year cycles playing
- 8:39out in the major events, 80 years from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War, 80 years from the Civil
- 8:45War II, World War II. And we're in that time now where we're in that 80th year. And a lot of people
- 8:51would have thought that was 9-11. But line 11 was a turning point. 2020, the pandemic, that was a
- 8:57turning point. I would even include October 7th, 2023 with Israel is a turning point. Yes.
- 9:04And all of these things are some of them are zeitgeists. And they're just a spirit of the
- 9:10age kind of thing. But they're also kind of all flowing together. And it gets very complicated,
- 9:13very quickly. The point is, is that I think looking at scripture, where Jesus talks about the
- 9:19last days, one of those signs was that the love of many would grow cold. And we're seeing that
- 9:24reaction now from many of the left and the progressives and socialists that are just so hardened
- 9:31against the biblical truth and biblical standards that there's almost, we're getting to that point
- 9:38where there's no, you can't reason with them anymore. You can't reason with somebody that's
- 9:41the one that we possessed. You literally just have to pray over them, pray about the situation
- 9:47and walk away because the only person that can deal with them is the Holy Spirit. And logic,
- 9:54reasons, arguments, all that stuff, none of that matters anymore. And they've taken it to that
- 9:57next level with this public execution of John Kurt. And so friends, that's a good reminder to
- 10:04revisit 2 Timothy 3 when you have time because we're seeing this played out. But some of the
- 10:11information we're talking about that people be sharing is from a video he did on September 15
- 10:17on his YouTube channel Rev 310 on YouTube Rev 310. Just labeled Monday Night Live 915 25. So look
- 10:27for that one. He explains it much more in depth than we can go in this short podcast. But what
- 10:32you were talking about Pete, before we move on, I want to share some stats with you. We are at a
- 10:38very different place and things I don't see a way to go back from here when people are celebrating
- 10:45openly the death of anyone. I'm talking about teachers and people in the medical profession on
- 10:52college camps is every day Americans and they're getting fired some of them rightly so. But liberals
- 10:58are four times more likely than conservatives to celebrate the deaths of their political opponents.
- 11:04And in 2022 just three years ago 82% of Democrats said political violence in the US was a problem.
- 11:13Today it's just 58%. My friends, that is a 24 point drop in just three years. And finally,
- 11:21so I'll get your response to this Pete. A job dropping one in four very liberal Americans believe
- 11:28political violence is justified. That's 25%. That's a quarter of American liberals. So Pete,
- 11:36we are at a different time. We are at a different time of maybe intolerance and hate. But what they say
- 11:43we talk about the biblical worldview truth from scripture, that's hate to them. And so that's
- 11:51what they seem to be coming against and they justify violence to take people out. This is probably
- 11:59just going to grow, isn't it? Yeah, well, a couple of things. One is that I think when we talk about
- 12:07second to three, the perilous times we live in, I look back to the time just before the Civil War,
- 12:14late 1850s and how polarized society was over the issues of states rights and slavery.
- 12:22And we got to that point then that words were just not cutting anymore. Action was something
- 12:28that had to be taken. And I think we're at that point now, but multiplied by a thousand and,
- 12:36pump full of steroids because it's everybody is so angry, but there's so many issues right now
- 12:42that are dividing people. It's not just between Democrats and Republicans. We've got Republicans,
- 12:49even within the magham movement, there's a huge divide over what to do with Israel or where you
- 12:54stand with Israel. And that's just one facet. I mean, Charlie was a barometer out there feeling
- 13:02what the culture was like. And he was exposing it to everybody. He was live streaming these debates.
- 13:08He would have to show how far removed many of these college students are from reality.
- 13:16We would watch these clips, shorts, or whatever. And we'd think, oh my goodness, how
- 13:21woke these people are? How broken they are mentally. But it is so when you just talk to people that age
- 13:29in these college areas, just a lot of them think like that because that's how they've been
- 13:33programmed. That's how they've been conditioned. And they've never lived in a that's different
- 13:38than the way it is today. So there's no wonder that they are thinking the way they think.
- 13:42When somebody comes in and speaks truth to them, it's like completely foreign. And the first
- 13:49thing that Satan does to those who are not born again is he fuels anger and fear and anxiety and
- 13:58all these things into them so that their reaction is fight or flight. And that's what we've seen
- 14:03with these debates and how fiery. Not just with him, but like Ben Shapiro and Michael are all the
- 14:09different folks that go out and speak on these speaking tours, Dinesh D'Souza, etc. And we laugh
- 14:14and we get it, you know, in the titles say conservative takes down our own liberal blah blah blah.
- 14:20And that person that is in the other receiving end of this, getting the response back from
- 14:26a Dinesh D'Souza or Ben Shapiro, Charlie, are it broken in a lot of ways. There's certainly
- 14:34every time they get that aha moment and they think, oh, wow, that makes sense. You know,
- 14:38that very rarely happens. It doesn't happen. All the time they walk away and that anger has no outlet
- 14:45other than what they turn to and what the Democrats, the left, I mean, the Democrats going all the
- 14:50way to John Wilkes Booth have no other recourse with the Turner violence. Yeah. And I think that's
- 14:56and I think at this point we're probably going to see the demise of the Democrat party altogether.
- 15:02They may rebrand themselves into something else, but I think there's so much baggage and toxicity
- 15:07with the Democrat party that I don't see how it survives next, either the midterms or the elections,
- 15:12the next elections. So you used a lot of different words in your presentation on that Monday night
- 15:18live. Upheaval was one word, crisis. They didn't really create this crisis, but I think we're in one
- 15:28when it comes to intolerance or free speech. That's a constitutional crisis. And there's a very
- 15:34real battle being played out. I want to just ask you about this. And we didn't talk about this
- 15:39before we got on the podcast, but I've been interested in hearing reports about these chat rooms
- 15:46on different websites that the murderer, the killer, the assassin, Tyler Robinson was a part of.
- 15:52Some of it took place weeks, days and or weeks before. And there's some things that are actually
- 16:00shocking on there. One person said, it'd be funny if someone like Charlie Kirk got shot on September
- 16:0610. Another one, now this is a different person in this chat said, September 10th will be a very
- 16:13interesting day. So there's things like this. And then we did it. Another one said after Charlie
- 16:20Kirk was assassinating. And here's another one. I have something big coming soon. Just be sure to
- 16:29check the news. You'll know when you see it. So this is concern. And I could read more and more
- 16:34and more. I'm sure you guys have heard some of the reports on this, but this was from the Washington
- 16:40Free Beacon exclusive FBI investigating social media accounts that appeared to indicate for
- 16:47knowledge of Kirk assassination. So this is very interesting. And then I've heard at least 20
- 16:53are being looked into. Pete, what are what are you hearing or what do you know? We're not talking
- 16:58about conspiracy because this is open now apparently to the public knowledge.
- 17:02Well, of course, we're seeing the public backlash against, you know, entertainment, entertainment
- 17:11figures like Jimmy Kimmel and other professors and teachers and nurses and doctors and people that
- 17:18are a professional world that are getting fired because of their expressing their joy at the
- 17:24assassination of Charlie Kirk. And like you said, early rightfully so they should be fired.
- 17:30Yeah, and I would even go so far as to say that if there are soldiers or people in the military
- 17:33that have expressed the same sentiments, they should be let go immediately because they clearly
- 17:40have some mental and emotionally issues going on. I don't want them in the ranks, you know,
- 17:45next to when I was in next to me here next to somebody that I know because they're mentally
- 17:50unstable, emotionally unstable. And so there's that there's that backlash for that and it's probably
- 17:58a lot more coming. As far as the what that means in terms of where we are right now, I just feel
- 18:08like whatever happens, if we're talking about the Hageleon dialectic that there is a thesis,
- 18:15antithesis and synthesis, the thesis is from this is from Satan's standpoint, how do I get the
- 18:21total control of the world, right? The antithesis is you create all these problems and the people
- 18:27cry out and demand for more security, more peace, more protection. And that has to come at the cost
- 18:34of something and that comes at the cost of personal liberty, at least in the United States. And so
- 18:40it doesn't matter if it's the left pushing it and they're pushing the lawlessness to promote
- 18:44their agenda and stay in power or it's the right's reaction and trying to combat that lawlessness
- 18:49and bring law in order back into being, there's always there's you know, it's always moving the
- 18:55goalpost, the change forward, right? It's never going to go back to the way it was, just like 9-11
- 19:00changed the way we travel forever. This is going to change, social media, this is going to change
- 19:06what people can post and even in these chat rooms like on Discord and other places that you know,
- 19:13telegram and stuff, there's no, but there's not going to be a safe place to have these kind of
- 19:17discussions apart from the dark met I guess, but even that is probably you know, covered like ants
- 19:24with by the CIA and all these other different agencies in NSA, etc. And it's just a furthering
- 19:31of what I think is going to eventually become the beast kingdom. That when the antichrist comes
- 19:35into power, he has total control, he just takes over, it's not like he has to build this stuff.
- 19:40So this stuff has to come in stages and we're seeing the stages, we're seeing the infrastructure
- 19:44for the beast kingdom being built regardless of the reason whether it's by the left or by the right.
- 19:49It's always moving forward and it's unfortunate that a lot of Christians don't see this as the way
- 19:58of what's happening. They just kind of think, oh, it's you know, it's a terrible tragedy. Don't
- 20:01we think about it and they go back to the lives. In the meantime, there's legislation, there's other
- 20:06things being pushed behind the scenes that are strengthening the government's control over the
- 20:11populace. And the last point to this is that for me, the Charlie's death is not the last turning
- 20:21point. We've had many turning points in the past that that has been very detrimental to mankind.
- 20:27The death of our our Duke Franz Ferdinand, Trigger World War I. We saw the deaths of JFK and MLK
- 20:36kind of sparked the counter, counter revolution movements in the 60s and 70s that have still,
- 20:42we're still feeling repercussions from those things today. And then the growing distrust of the
- 20:47government in general because of the way they've handled the information and how they've chosen
- 20:51to conceal and seal up these documents for so many decades now. It's the last turning point is
- 20:59going to be in my honest opinion, according to scripture, it's going to be the rapture of the
- 21:04church. And when that happens, that is going to be the final crisis that basically inacts all of
- 21:11the stuff that's been built up over these last 20, 30 years. It's now going to come in full force.
- 21:16And after that short period of chaos, the world's going to come back to the government's are going
- 21:20to come back and they're going to be able to clamp down. It'll be like martial law across the world
- 21:24and it's going to be a really terrible time for those people that don't go up in the rapture.
- 21:30Brother, we've got a little bit of time left but that's a good way to direction to take it now
- 21:35because as believers, as Christians, we know the Bible is true and that very well could be
- 21:42one of those last turning points. They're talking about going into a crisis after that with millions,
- 21:48millions and millions of people gone. I can't imagine what Earth or what the United States would look
- 21:57like in that scenario. But is it an interesting piece? If you look back, you and I are old enough
- 22:03to remember before barcodes and technology and the internet and now what we're seeing here, chips,
- 22:12microchips, computers, you know, revelation, just the Bible is just an amazing, an amazing
- 22:21book, an amazing true book that just tells us so much that most people couldn't have imagined.
- 22:27But now we're seeing some of this getting, we're getting so close to some of this, right?
- 22:33We are and it's amazing that 2000 years ago, John was given this information, particularly like
- 22:40Revelation 13 where the world is at some point where it is controlled, they're able to be controlled
- 22:47by a single government led by a single man. And, you know, for, I don't know, the last, you know,
- 22:551950 years of that 2000 years the church has been around since revelations was written. That was
- 23:06a mystery. They didn't know how that could happen and now we can see how easily that could happen.
- 23:11It's not that it can happen but which way is it going to happen because there's so many different
- 23:14options now that we don't know. We went from having no options and now we have just so many that
- 23:20hardly sure how this is going to play out. But just that act alone of being able to control the
- 23:26governments, the economies and whatnot through central bank digital currencies, you know, basically
- 23:32any type of digital currency that the government has a hand in is going to be able to be manipulated
- 23:39in such a way that they could control buying and selling and they could control
- 23:44who has access to the economy based on your political beliefs or your religious beliefs or whatever.
- 23:48We've seen that happen in Canada. We're seeing that happen in places like the United Kingdom
- 23:52and other and across Europe where the government says, hey, you're an enemy of the state,
- 23:57you're could be in cut off. And we've seen increased political violence and I think the thing
- 24:01that we should keep an eye on in Germany, for example, they had like 15 or 14 or 15 members of
- 24:07this AFD or what they call far right. The political party were assassinated just in the last couple
- 24:13weeks and it's too statistically impossible for that many members of a political party, the same
- 24:22political party to all suddenly die of heart attacks and natural causes. But I think that's speaking
- 24:28to the what's coming is there's a hardening and there's a militarization of everything and
- 24:33there is a increased polarization. There's no the idea of status quo and things just kind of
- 24:40being the way they work. Those days are gone. And that's what I think what people don't realize.
- 24:45Now those days are gone. They're not coming back and what we're going to see eventually after
- 24:49the rapture, when you move the Holy Spirit, the restraining ministry of the Holy Spirit from the
- 24:53earth and remove the Christians from the earth, there was going to be a hardness to people
- 24:58and a viciousness and a violinist that the world has never seen.
- 25:03I agree brother. Great thoughts. And one word that I always had a problem with because it was over
- 25:10used since COVID was unprecedented. Well we're going to continue to use that word but another word
- 25:16that I've really had a problem with is normal. So many people saying well we're just trying to get
- 25:21back to what's the new normal. Can't get back to normal. Think about it though what was normal in
- 25:26our lifetime. Look at abortion. Look at the LGBTQ. Look at Marxism. Look at our government. Look
- 25:32at what you were saying, the control. Look at our public schools. What's normal? Why don't we
- 25:38want normal? And there will never be a new normal. Whatever that means. So we've got to change the
- 25:42terms. I'm tired of that. But in the last two minutes, Pete, give our listeners and viewers a
- 25:48little encouragement that these cycles are historical. We've always had you said 20 years, 80
- 25:56years, there are going to be turning points that we just have to be ready and be prayed up and
- 26:01know the word of God. Just share your final thoughts. When Jesus was asked about the last days by
- 26:08his inner circle of disciples, he gives them, I call this a divine outline. He gives them the
- 26:13outline of what's going to happen in the last days. And it's filled with about 14 or 15 specific
- 26:19signs, but they're kind of generic. So you had wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, pestilences,
- 26:25etc. But the interesting thing, talking to cycles with Jesus said that they would come like
- 26:30birth pains. And so we know that in the normal pregnancy stages, you have three trimesters.
- 26:36And it's really in the last trimester that the woman begins with the Braxton Hicks contractions.
- 26:41These are the fake contractions. They're too early to be the real thing, but they still feel,
- 26:46you're starting to feel in their painful. And then you start moving into the real contractions.
- 26:50And I think right now we're in that transition between the Braxton Hicks and the actual real
- 26:55contractions that are going to start happening. And they're not going to lessen. They're going to
- 27:00intensify. And they're going to become more frequent. And they're going to become more painful.
- 27:06But know this as a believer that we are not going through the tribulation. We're not going,
- 27:11we're not stepping one toe inside of that 70th week. Not one toe. We're going to
- 27:17revelation three tenses that we will be removed from the hour of the time that this trial is
- 27:22going to come upon the whole world. So that we're going to remove you from the time. Remove out
- 27:28from the time before it ever happens. So right now is the time to really cling to the bless of
- 27:34hope. Titus 2.13 that I'm hearing of our Lord for the church. And I think for us, we've always

- 27:45hopeful because of what lies just very soon right in front of us is the Lord coming. Amen, brother.
- 27:52Thanks be to God. We have the victory. God always causes us to triumph. We need to persevere.
- 27:58And one day to time, friends, be encouraged. Pete, thank you again for coming on today.
- 28:04Thanks, David. Thank you, friends. God bless you. And as always, keep speaking the truth about
