- 0:37Speaker 1: Sing a being into things.
- 0:58Speaker 2: In my mind.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Well, welcome to the Thursday morning edition of the Aired
- 2:16Speaker 3: Out Podcast. It is an absolute pleasure to have you
- 2:20Speaker 3: on board today from Flying the Wall productions seen and
- 2:26Speaker 3: heard everywhere you get your podcasts and on the web.
- 2:29Speaker 3: It aired Out vt dot com and we have a
- 2:34Speaker 3: new website that is coming. Woodland Studios is our newest
- 2:40Speaker 3: presenting sponsor and man Mary has been working so hard
- 2:46Speaker 3: on recreating my site, which hasn't been redone in hundreds
- 2:53Speaker 3: of years, and I am so excited. I cannot wait
- 2:57Speaker 3: to show you this thing. It's still being built, but yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 3: it's gonna give a whole hell of a lot of
- 3:05Speaker 3: love to sponsors and I'm just so excited about it. Boy,
- 3:09Speaker 3: hats crooked this morning. Maybe the headphones are off, I
- 3:12Speaker 3: don't know, but anyway, boy, we have a lot to
- 3:18Speaker 3: get to. Birthdays this morning. Heather pay, Adam Spaulding, Brenda
- 3:23Speaker 3: and let's see Toddy Brochhoe Joy, Sharon and Leander Currier today.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Lunar eclipse tonight two thirty this morning is when that's
- 3:36Speaker 3: gonna be. Let me tell you what I'm gonna be
- 3:40Speaker 3: doing at two thirty this morning. I will be catching
- 3:43Speaker 3: some pretty hard z's. I will not be out freezing
- 3:46Speaker 3: my nats off looking up at the moon at two
- 3:49Speaker 3: thirty this morning. Not gonna happen. Upper teens early this morning,
- 3:54Speaker 3: but already climbing fast into the mid twenties right now,
- 3:58Speaker 3: forty three later today, with the mix of clouds and sun,
- 4:01Speaker 3: the SAP's going to be running. The sugar makers are thrilled.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Tonight twenty five and partly cloudy, and then tomorrow look
- 4:13Speaker 3: at this, fifty four degrees tomorrow and sunny love that
- 4:19Speaker 3: sixty on Saturday and partly sunny's guys, and then on
- 4:23Speaker 3: Sunday rain, but sixty three. And I know, if you
- 4:32Speaker 3: own a motorcycle, you're happy about the sixty three, But
- 4:38Speaker 3: you're even more happy about the rain because we need
- 4:43Speaker 3: that rain this time of year, especially if you own
- 4:46Speaker 3: a bike, you know, to get all that shit washed
- 4:49Speaker 3: off the roads so that we can get out and ride.
- 4:53Speaker 3: So doesn't matter what the temperature is, as long as
- 4:56Speaker 3: it's rain and we're cleaning up the roads. I saw
- 4:59Speaker 3: a bike, was it yesterday or two days ago? It
- 5:02Speaker 3: passed right here in front of the studio, beautiful Harley.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Would it be if I had a Harley would be
- 5:09Speaker 3: if I had any bike road bike, would it be
- 5:11Speaker 3: too early for me to get out in the roads. Yes,
- 5:13Speaker 3: for not just the reason of the salt and the
- 5:17Speaker 3: salt bad, the sand slippery bad, but also the goddamn potholes.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I can't even imagine trying to navigate the potholes and
- 5:28Speaker 3: you hit one of them on a bike and you're
- 5:31Speaker 3: either going down or you've lost your tire. It's going
- 5:34Speaker 3: to be one of the two March Badness starting up
- 5:39Speaker 3: this weekend. We get sixty eight teams starting on the sixteenth.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Sixty eight teams can be playing for the for the men,
- 5:50Speaker 3: which is going to be just amazing. And I don't
- 5:55Speaker 3: know if if you're following March Badness, if the first
- 5:59Speaker 3: round is going to go at eighteen to eighteen to nineteen,
- 6:02Speaker 3: I think something like that. But yeah, April fifth, Final four,
- 6:11Speaker 3: San Antonio, Texas. Incredible. This morning, Usually we have g
- 6:18Speaker 3: On g is not in this morning. He is away.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I will let him share with you what he's up
- 6:26Speaker 3: to and what he's doing. But I have with me
- 6:31Speaker 3: my good friend. But you've become a good friend now,
- 6:37Speaker 3: Big Kenny. What the hell's going on with you? Brother,
- 6:40Speaker 3: How are you doing?
- 6:41Speaker 4: Man? Doing all right? Doing? All right?
- 6:43Speaker 3: What's new with you, buddy?
- 6:46Speaker 4: That mine? Just enjoying the sun and the warm weather
- 6:52Speaker 4: coming kind of gives a little pep in your step,
- 6:55Speaker 4: you know, get up and yeah, get out of bed. Yes,
- 6:59Speaker 4: stop moving.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Has it been Has it been a rough winter for you?
- 7:05Speaker 4: Yeah, it's been kind of cold, and I think it
- 7:07Speaker 4: has been for everybody. I'm on a high elevation, so
- 7:10Speaker 4: the snow is uh yeah, a little bit, you know,
- 7:16Speaker 4: thicker ure.
- 7:18Speaker 3: So you live up in the up in the hills
- 7:20Speaker 3: in the middle of nowhere, Washington, and you were saying
- 7:24Speaker 3: that it was a home that you built when you were.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Howled twenty Oh my god. Yeah.
- 7:29Speaker 3: So this this accent that we're picking up on. And
- 7:33Speaker 3: you've been on the air in the past and we've
- 7:34Speaker 3: talked about this, right, but this is not a Vermont accent.
- 7:39Speaker 4: No, it's Boston. That's what everybody tells me. Boston. You
- 7:46Speaker 4: never lose that, I guess not. Yeah, but everybody says
- 7:50Speaker 4: the same thing.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Now, why why did you Why did you come up
- 7:53Speaker 3: here this longo? Why did you build your home?
- 7:55Speaker 4: I hide away. I come up here to find a
- 7:58Speaker 4: place to hunt and fish and uh, you know, worked
- 8:02Speaker 4: in the Union in Boston, and I said to myself,
- 8:06Speaker 4: you know, I get to find the place I can
- 8:07Speaker 4: go and get away from the wife and stuff. And
- 8:11Speaker 4: so I come up here and I bought the place,
- 8:14Speaker 4: you know, And how.
- 8:17Speaker 3: How much land do we take? Fifteen aches, fifteen acres? Yeah, okay, yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 3: any electricity up there?
- 8:24Speaker 4: Just I'm off grid. Yeah, so I run generators general. Yeah,
- 8:33Speaker 4: and I guess kind of you know, I got running
- 8:39Speaker 4: water and everything, of course, I you know, I just
- 8:42Speaker 4: you know, Sola was like a high high price for it.
- 8:46Speaker 4: So I said, you know, I'll just buy a generator
- 8:49Speaker 4: every five six years. Good for you, cheaper. Huh, well,
- 8:53Speaker 4: good for you. Yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Well you know, listen, so you've you you've been friends
- 8:59Speaker 5: with X Thompson for a long.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Time, long time. Yeah, you're going to.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Be up at the fights at the Battle of Barry sixteen.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Yeah, March twenty second, right.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Big mma at match up at the Berry Auditorium.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Yeah. What do you do there?
- 9:15Speaker 4: What do I do there? Yeah?
- 9:16Speaker 3: What do you do?
- 9:17Speaker 4: What do you help with me? Anymore? I used to
- 9:19Speaker 4: you know, help out and stuff. But he's got a
- 9:22Speaker 4: like a fine crew now that takes care of everything
- 9:26Speaker 4: and they're all on point, so I just go there
- 9:30Speaker 4: and enjoy the fights.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Yeah, how did you meet Rex? How do you know Rex?
- 9:35Speaker 4: I met Rex? Let's see in the club way back,
- 9:40Speaker 4: Like we talked about that one podcast way back. I
- 9:44Speaker 4: think it was better at least at least twenty years.
- 9:48Speaker 3: You know. When you say club, what are you talking about?
- 9:50Speaker 3: Like the American Legion.
- 9:52Speaker 4: No, we were in a motorcycle club to Vietnam vets. Oh,
- 9:57Speaker 4: so you know I met him in We had one
- 10:01Speaker 4: chapter down in Boston and one not Pierre, and he
- 10:04Speaker 4: was the one up Pierre, and then one thing led
- 10:09Speaker 4: into another and we got to know each other and
- 10:12Speaker 4: we just always uh been coming along to our friendship.
- 10:17Speaker 4: You ever get into a scuffle with with We tossed
- 10:20Speaker 4: and turned the little babies. Yeah. Uh, he's got a
- 10:26Speaker 4: lot of hot air that comes out of him. Everybody knows.
- 10:30Speaker 3: You ever been with Rex when he's had a shot
- 10:32Speaker 3: or two or three of Jamison or four?
- 10:35Speaker 4: Have I? Of course I have five. I don't want
- 10:37Speaker 4: to talk about all the stuff that he's done. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:41Speaker 4: forget about it.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Listen. I said to you when when uh, when I
- 10:46Speaker 3: met you last time? That you really, seriously and I'm
- 10:51Speaker 3: not I'm not joking. You seriously ought to think about
- 10:53Speaker 3: writing a book about a self biography about your life
- 10:57Speaker 3: and who you've come across and relationship said, have formed
- 11:01Speaker 3: who you are. You've got quite the story, buddy.
- 11:05Speaker 4: I mean, I've been here and I've been here, but
- 11:08Speaker 4: you know, I don't want to spend all that time
- 11:11Speaker 4: sitting there and writing and get you know, write his
- 11:15Speaker 4: block and you know, and thedn't get aggravated, you know
- 11:18Speaker 4: what I mean. I don't want again. I don't want
- 11:20Speaker 4: to deal with any aggravation right now.
- 11:23Speaker 3: How's your kids? How's your kids doing?
- 11:25Speaker 4: Kids are doing good, going good, very proud of them. Yeah,
- 11:29Speaker 4: they're all uh, like I said before, working in the
- 11:33Speaker 4: dental department doing braces and stuff, pediatric.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Yeah. You like it up here in Vermont. You've been
- 11:42Speaker 3: here for for how long?
- 11:43Speaker 4: Love it expensive? But I love it? Yeah?
- 11:45Speaker 3: How long you've been up here?
- 11:47Speaker 4: Well, let's see forty almost forty years? Really? Yeah?
- 11:51Speaker 5: Do you consider yourself a VERMONTA VERMONTA? I don't know
- 11:55Speaker 5: what is that?
- 11:57Speaker 4: You know the point is that it's like, you know,
- 12:01Speaker 4: I'm just uh, you know, living in the American dream, right, Yeah,
- 12:06Speaker 4: come up here, go in the woods, get away from
- 12:09Speaker 4: people and be happy.
- 12:10Speaker 3: So you you still do you still hunt? Do you still?
- 12:13Speaker 4: Yeah? I do a lot of hunting and fishing.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Okay, what do you hunt?
- 12:18Speaker 4: What do I hunt? What don't I hunt?
- 12:21Speaker 3: Really?
- 12:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll I'll hunt. I cut back on a lot
- 12:25Speaker 4: of things, but mostly gear. Yeah, you know, uh, up
- 12:32Speaker 4: up up game birds and yeah, turkey.
- 12:35Speaker 3: You're getting ready for Turkey and May?
- 12:36Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna be doing turkey hunt and stuff.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Excellent.
- 12:41Speaker 4: Got myself a new Mossburg five hundred tactical. Yeah, turkey gun. Nice.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Do you ever hunt with with Rex?
- 12:50Speaker 4: No, he's always too busy, always too busy. I like
- 12:54Speaker 4: to get him away, like you know, I got a
- 12:55Speaker 4: brand new boat, and I'm dying to get him out
- 12:59Speaker 4: fishing and stuff. And uh, you know, he can relax.
- 13:04Speaker 3: And you know what, Rex can go pound sand Okay,
- 13:08Speaker 3: because if he's too busy to go to go hunting,
- 13:11Speaker 3: that's one thing. But if he's too busy to go
- 13:13Speaker 3: out in your boat. I'll make sure you have my
- 13:16Speaker 3: cell phone number because I'll take you. I'll take you
- 13:19Speaker 3: out there.
- 13:19Speaker 4: We'll go all fishing.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Probably not going to be enough once I get my
- 13:24Speaker 3: cooler in there, probably not gonna be enough room.
- 13:26Speaker 4: I got plenty of room, plenty of rooms. Well not
- 13:28Speaker 4: for res Yeah, well I can.
- 13:31Speaker 5: I can sit four people on there. Yeah, comfortable and stuff.
- 13:35Speaker 5: So where do you let? Where you get? Where are
- 13:37Speaker 5: you're playing it on?
- 13:38Speaker 3: Fishing?
- 13:39Speaker 4: I go to I go, I go to uh Miller's Pond. Yes,
- 13:44Speaker 4: you know that. It's nice to quiet a lot of
- 13:46Speaker 4: bald eagles, you know, big big brook trout and trout
- 13:50Speaker 4: there Macintosh ponn. I used to love going there, but
- 13:54Speaker 4: it's kind of too small now for my boat. Lake
- 13:58Speaker 4: fairly yeah, fairly's nice. You know if you want bassmall.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Ma get into lake boring at all?
- 14:06Speaker 4: No, okay, I usually just stick to those champlain here
- 14:09Speaker 4: and there. I'll go out.
- 14:11Speaker 5: Wow. I would love to go with you, Kenny. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 14:15Speaker 5: in the summer we'll go all sure.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Please, I'll do everything for you. I launch the boat, I'll.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Do everything, all right, all right, it sounds good.
- 14:23Speaker 3: I'll bring lunch too.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Sounds good. Sounds good?
- 14:26Speaker 3: So uh behind every good man. He's a great woman.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Tell me about Julie.
- 14:35Speaker 4: About my wife. Yes, she's a good woman. She takes
- 14:39Speaker 4: good care of me.
- 14:40Speaker 3: How could she not be a good woman if she's
- 14:43Speaker 3: dealing with your bullshit?
- 14:46Speaker 4: Well no, I just say that to her every day.
- 14:49Speaker 4: I'm sending her to Florida, uh in April with actually
- 14:55Speaker 4: Rex's wife, Brenda. They're going down there and spend some time.
- 14:59Speaker 4: And I don't don't know if she's going to come back. Yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 4: I might be stuck up here alone.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Now do you have did you get your tickets yet
- 15:09Speaker 3: for Rex's party? Because he's having a huge blowout. No,
- 15:14Speaker 3: he tell me not all right, he's having a huge
- 15:17Speaker 3: bash at his place once. I think it's like within
- 15:20Speaker 3: the first forty eight hours after Brenda.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Oh that party. Oh, I didn't know if you wanted
- 15:25Speaker 4: to talk about that yet.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not sure who the band is yet. I
- 15:29Speaker 3: don't know if he's got that lined up, but I
- 15:31Speaker 3: mean everything is set to go. It's it's going to
- 15:33Speaker 3: be massive. I cannot wait to bring the girls. Tickets
- 15:38Speaker 3: are like ten fifteen bucks. I'll take care of your
- 15:41Speaker 3: so don't worry about it. Yeah, it's going to be
- 15:42Speaker 3: a good time. Okay, yeah, okay, So you know you
- 15:47Speaker 3: you have had this life that if you could and
- 15:54Speaker 3: I think I asked you this last time you were
- 15:56Speaker 3: on the air, if you could go back and change
- 16:01Speaker 3: anything about your life, what would it What would it be?
- 16:09Speaker 3: And maybe that's a difficult question and maybe you need
- 16:12Speaker 3: to chew on that.
- 16:13Speaker 4: I spend more time with my kids. I mean, I
- 16:16Speaker 4: spent a lot of time with them and stuff, you
- 16:19Speaker 4: know what I mean. But you know I took them,
- 16:22Speaker 4: you know, hunting and fishing. I'd done all that and stuff.
- 16:25Speaker 4: But you know, probably more time. But we have a
- 16:29Speaker 4: good relationship now that come up and visit me all
- 16:32Speaker 4: the time and we have a lot of laughs and
- 16:35Speaker 4: stuff like that.
- 16:36Speaker 3: That's all that matters. How old are you now, Kenny
- 16:38Speaker 3: me sixty.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Can't believe I had made it to sixty. I can't
- 16:42Speaker 4: believe you've.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Had some where. We have to talk about this guy
- 16:47Speaker 3: here too.
- 16:47Speaker 4: Oh, Rex Junior, that's Rex right here, Little Rex.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Don't even do that, all right? So I'm going to
- 16:55Speaker 3: show the camera here what's on your lap right now?
- 16:57Speaker 3: Look at that? Oh my god, Oh my god, Teddy,
- 17:04Speaker 3: talk to me about this beautiful creature here.
- 17:07Speaker 4: This little girl here, vicious, a female basst hom pug.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Uh she's been fixed.
- 17:18Speaker 3: O god.
- 17:20Speaker 4: So this is your this is your dog you're going
- 17:23Speaker 4: to take home to your daughter.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Yes, it's so tough after you have put a dog
- 17:43Speaker 3: down two for some for not everybody, to find room
- 17:53Speaker 3: in your heart to push through the scar tissue.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Oh I know. I just put my pipull down a
- 18:00Speaker 4: couple of weeks ago. It's terrible, terrible.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I you know, honestly, I don't know if there's
- 18:08Speaker 3: anything worse than putting a dog down. There there's pain
- 18:15Speaker 3: that you feel that you know. I don't mean to
- 18:18Speaker 3: be all down and depressing on a Thursday morning here,
- 18:21Speaker 3: but there's a different kind of pain that you feel.
- 18:25Speaker 3: It's somewhere. I don't know if it's in the heart
- 18:27Speaker 3: or the soul or whatever. But it's different, man, It's
- 18:30Speaker 3: it's different. I mean, it's just different.
- 18:33Speaker 4: Yeah. Well that well my dog that I just put down, Thoza.
- 18:39Speaker 4: That's why I'm gonna keep one of the females myself.
- 18:43Speaker 4: I'm gonna call them Molly. You know. Puppies, Hey, puppies.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Who's that you?
- 18:51Speaker 3: Oh my god, look at that Look at her?
- 18:55Speaker 4: You good girl?
- 18:56Speaker 3: Oh man, So you've got how many puppies?
- 19:00Speaker 2: Now?
- 19:00Speaker 4: I got I got fourth total, and I got too left.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Okay, and that's one of the two.
- 19:15Speaker 4: See, yeah, yep, one, Kyle's getting one I'm taking yep.
- 19:21Speaker 1: M hm.
- 19:25Speaker 3: You want to talk about that at all? About about
- 19:29Speaker 3: Kyle or do you want to stay Kyle?
- 19:31Speaker 4: Well? Yeah, he was.
- 19:33Speaker 1: You.
- 19:34Speaker 3: I think you're a good guy and I would love
- 19:36Speaker 3: to to I would love to share with with what
- 19:40Speaker 3: we don't guy.
- 19:41Speaker 4: You can take that because he's one of your listeners.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Guy that his dog was hit and killed out in
- 19:52Speaker 3: front of his home not too long ago, a couple
- 19:54Speaker 3: of weeks ago. What I think he's got two.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Kids, yeah, yep, yep.
- 20:01Speaker 3: That are heartbroken, and you have decided to take one
- 20:06Speaker 3: of these puppies and.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Give it to him for his kids and just give
- 20:10Speaker 4: it to him. Yeah, yeah, I seen it. I seen
- 20:14Speaker 4: the post that you put out there on Facebook, and
- 20:18Speaker 4: I got in contact with them and told them when
- 20:21Speaker 4: they were ready that I would give him one of
- 20:24Speaker 4: the dogs if he wanted it. And we're supposed to
- 20:30Speaker 4: be meeting maybe this week and take him one.
- 20:34Speaker 3: How old are these puppies?
- 20:36Speaker 4: Hey, nine, ten weeks ten weeks old? Yeah?
- 20:43Speaker 3: Wow, yeah yeah look at this.
- 20:49Speaker 5: Yeah, oh my, oh my gosh.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Bassett Hound pug pug. Oh my god, right, yeah, I
- 21:04Speaker 3: think I see Mark is saying, I need to I
- 21:07Speaker 3: need to hold this one. And this is what this
- 21:11Speaker 3: is the order of what happens. And this is very dangerous.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Sometimes when you hold the dog, the next order of
- 21:22Speaker 3: process is to give it a name. So once it's
- 21:26Speaker 3: in the arms, then there's a name that follows that. Sure,
- 21:29Speaker 3: once there's a name attached, it is literally almost impossible.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Yeah, to back out. But the good thing would be
- 21:44Speaker 4: if you got together with the family and all discuss
- 21:48Speaker 4: it over dinner and let let her run around and
- 21:53Speaker 4: and then it will come to you what her name
- 21:56Speaker 4: should be, right right, you know, because someone might see
- 22:04Speaker 4: it a little bit differently than you. Yeah, and you
- 22:09Speaker 4: know who I'm talking about, my little girl, that's right.
- 22:16Speaker 3: You mean they're all females, you said, yes, all females.
- 22:21Speaker 3: How many how many? What was the litter? How many?
- 22:24Speaker 4: Four? That's four?
- 22:25Speaker 3: Four?
- 22:25Speaker 4: Is that what you have? Yeah?
- 22:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, wow, yep? What about Rex? Does he want one?
- 22:33Speaker 4: Now? He's got all those little athena Yeah, like little
- 22:39Speaker 4: dinky purse dogs. Yeah, what is he? I don't know
- 22:43Speaker 4: what's he doing? What is that this big tough guy
- 22:47Speaker 4: walking around the little person. Well, he likes to go
- 22:49Speaker 4: walking around with that dog to get all the all
- 22:52Speaker 4: the girls to smile at him and stuff. Oh what
- 22:56Speaker 4: a cute dog, Just so we can get him in closer,
- 23:00Speaker 4: right right, because Rex, you know, you gotta be careful
- 23:04Speaker 4: of that guy. Oh my god, My poor wife. She's
- 23:07Speaker 4: in trouble when every time she gets around them.
- 23:15Speaker 5: Let's talk about, Uh, let's see how long it takes
- 23:25Speaker 5: him to stock call?
- 23:26Speaker 3: Probably show up, Probably show up? Are the doors locked?
- 23:32Speaker 4: We have?
- 23:33Speaker 3: Speaking of Rex? The Battle and Bury sixteen coming up
- 23:37Speaker 3: on next weekend. Man, that's a week from uh, that's
- 23:42Speaker 3: a week from this Saturday.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't wait. It's gonna be It's gonna be
- 23:47Speaker 4: an awesome fight. Awesome god, oh my god. He does
- 23:50Speaker 4: an unbelievable like he's he's the Dana White of Vermont.
- 23:55Speaker 4: You know what, I agree? He just he just puts
- 23:58Speaker 4: a lot of time and effort in the h and
- 24:02Speaker 4: he really works.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Hot at what he does. Yeah, you know he does.
- 24:06Speaker 3: His whole family, does I mean they It is not easy?
- 24:09Speaker 4: Oh yeah, the whole family, does you know? You're right?
- 24:13Speaker 4: His daughter, yeah, his son, everybody setting it up. Then
- 24:17Speaker 4: his wife, Yeah, I don't want to leave them out either.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Can you imagine for a second being Brenda or No,
- 24:30Speaker 3: it's very fast. No, No, you didn't even need to
- 24:33Speaker 3: think because he's.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Always screaming for them. Yeah, always looking for an answer
- 24:38Speaker 4: from him right now, right now. Yeah.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Can you can you imagine being Taylor or Hunter or
- 24:45Speaker 3: Brenda and having to deal with Rex the week leading
- 24:50Speaker 3: up to an event like this or or during the event.
- 24:57Speaker 5: My god, not at all, but see if something goes wrong,
- 25:01Speaker 5: something's missing, right.
- 25:02Speaker 4: It's funny when I go there, I usually always call them, guy,
- 25:06Speaker 4: what are you missing? You need ice? You need tape?
- 25:09Speaker 4: And I'm like, at the last minute, I'm, you know,
- 25:11Speaker 4: sometimes picking up stuff for sure, which I don't mind.
- 25:14Speaker 4: I do anything for him.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, Rex says that he's sorry, he's he's late,
- 25:21Speaker 3: but in all seriousness, I know, I know we're jabbing
- 25:25Speaker 3: at him. But these guys have a a well oiled machine.
- 25:30Speaker 3: It is absolutely everything is so fine tuned. If there's
- 25:33Speaker 3: something that's that's that's going on, Uh, that's that's stressful.
- 25:38Speaker 3: The audience doesn't know about it, right. They're there for
- 25:42Speaker 3: the entertainment, they're there for the fight, they're there for
- 25:45Speaker 3: the adrenaline. They're there for, the food, the drink. Gustos
- 25:49Speaker 3: is going to be catering it again. I mean, it's
- 25:51Speaker 3: absolutely amazing.
- 25:53Speaker 4: It's a fine show. I mean you can't beat it,
- 25:56Speaker 4: like I know, you know, the middle of them wont
- 25:58Speaker 4: anywhere really Like I mean a lot of people are
- 26:02Speaker 4: catching on now and seeing how good it's sure, you know, happening.
- 26:08Speaker 3: If you if you want to get in your car
- 26:10Speaker 3: seriously here and and see something that is even remotely
- 26:15Speaker 3: close to a battle in Burry at the Auditorium. You're
- 26:19Speaker 3: going to New York City, You're going to maybe Syracuse,
- 26:23Speaker 3: You're going to Montreal, you're going to Boston, maybe Albany,
- 26:27Speaker 3: but not anywhere anywhere near central Vermont.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Evenind of personal up here, I think because a lot
- 26:35Speaker 4: of people know everybody that comes, you know what I mean,
- 26:38Speaker 4: it's kind of almost like a family orientated you know fight,
- 26:43Speaker 4: you know, everybody knows everybody. Yeah, and Grantite.
- 26:47Speaker 3: City, Granite City, MMA, Lucas and his his team up there,
- 26:54Speaker 3: I mean just and wrecks what he does up there.
- 26:57Speaker 3: I was up there last night, walked in there on
- 26:59Speaker 3: a on a Wednesday night at twenty after six and
- 27:02Speaker 3: there's a million people all over the place rolling around
- 27:04Speaker 3: in I'll.
- 27:05Speaker 4: About Rex and Dante. Is that something like when I
- 27:09Speaker 4: watched that and I watched Rex have the patience he has? Yeah, right,
- 27:15Speaker 4: and work with this child.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Yeah, Dante, Dante who's autistic. It's just one on one
- 27:23Speaker 3: training with him on Saturday mornings.
- 27:24Speaker 4: It's amazing. Yeah, I can't get Rex to one on
- 27:27Speaker 4: one training for me.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Well, not entirely surprised. Yeah by that. Well, I gotta
- 27:36Speaker 5: show like a lot of cash. Yeah, money talks, of course,
- 27:39Speaker 5: it talks, especially with sure.
- 27:45Speaker 3: But listen, if if if Rex is listening this morning
- 27:50Speaker 3: and he missed all of the you know, all the
- 27:52Speaker 3: stuff about not hunting with you, not having the time
- 27:56Speaker 3: to do that, not having the time to go out
- 27:58Speaker 3: in your boat again, I'll say it right now. He
- 28:02Speaker 3: can absolutely pound sand stay home, stay home. I'm gonna
- 28:07Speaker 3: go in place of Rex. I'll go. Yeah, absolutely, fishing
- 28:11Speaker 3: with you. Absolutely he can. He can.
- 28:14Speaker 4: You know, a street should go out and have a tournament.
- 28:16Speaker 4: Oh my god, put up one hundred bucks apiece. The
- 28:19Speaker 4: biggest fish wins the park.
- 28:21Speaker 3: I would do that in one second. Two I'm not
- 28:23Speaker 3: kidding you. I'm saying that right now, live on the air. Done.
- 28:27Speaker 4: But I would keep an eye on him because he'd
- 28:29Speaker 4: probably take weys and put weights down inside the fish
- 28:34Speaker 4: so it weighs the most.
- 28:35Speaker 3: I wouldn't be surprised by that at all.
- 28:37Speaker 4: Do you think you think? Of course, of course he would.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Listen. If you don't have your tickets yet for the
- 28:45Speaker 3: Battle in Bury sixteen, Frankly, I don't know what you're
- 28:50Speaker 3: waiting for, because tickets are selling so fast. I think
- 28:53Speaker 3: all the VIP tables are gone. They're sold fifty bucks.
- 28:57Speaker 3: You can get him at the door if you want
- 28:58Speaker 3: at six o'clock. The fight starts at seven. You will
- 29:01Speaker 3: have time to get a good seat and get something
- 29:04Speaker 3: to drink or something to eat from Gusto's right there.
- 29:06Speaker 3: They're catering the whole thing they always do. But yeah,
- 29:11Speaker 3: get them. Well you can Donnybrook fight Promotions dot Com.
- 29:16Speaker 3: And there's a pay per view stream that is going
- 29:19Speaker 3: up in price. I think it's going up by like
- 29:22Speaker 3: nine or ten bucks on Friday Friday, Friday Night, I think,
- 29:27Speaker 3: so that's it. Tomorrow is the one week one week
- 29:34Speaker 3: away from the way in Nights, Yeah, which is media Night.
- 29:39Speaker 4: And there's not one bad seat in the Civic Center.
- 29:43Speaker 4: You could see from any way you sit. It's a
- 29:46Speaker 4: good seat, so you're not missing out on any of
- 29:49Speaker 4: the fights, you know what I mean? I like down
- 29:51Speaker 4: being on the floor where you could feel the punch
- 29:54Speaker 4: in sure, you know what I mean.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Rex is saying. There are some second VIP seats available
- 30:01Speaker 3: as well as individual seats. I want to talk about
- 30:04Speaker 3: this guy, Glenn Brummer, who's watching right now. I don't
- 30:07Speaker 3: know how Glen old Glenn is. I think he's like
- 30:08Speaker 3: seventy veteran, lives here in town, watches this podcast every
- 30:15Speaker 3: single morning, watching right now. Yeah, Glenn lives alone right
- 30:22Speaker 3: here in Barry, doesn't get out of the house at all,
- 30:29Speaker 3: doesn't go out mingle you know, you get the you
- 30:35Speaker 3: know what I'm saying.
- 30:35Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 30:37Speaker 3: We convinced Glenn to get out of the house and
- 30:42Speaker 3: go to one of these fights, and he went last time,
- 30:46Speaker 3: had the time of his life. Good and now he's
- 30:50Speaker 3: freaking hooked on it. Yeah it's a good time, you
- 30:54Speaker 3: know what I mean.
- 30:55Speaker 4: For fifty bucks, right, where can you go have all
- 30:58Speaker 4: full night of fun action, exact food, drinks.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Yes, you know, I know, And and for someone like
- 31:06Speaker 3: Glenn like he's saying right now, he looks forward to
- 31:08Speaker 3: it for a long time before this.
- 31:11Speaker 4: And there's what two fights a year, right, usually has
- 31:15Speaker 4: some September.
- 31:17Speaker 3: I think there's three. I think I think there's three period.
- 31:21Speaker 4: I lose one, so usually in September, and then and
- 31:26Speaker 4: then this one is in the spring, well March, yeah,
- 31:31Speaker 4: and then what does he do one in the summer
- 31:33Speaker 4: or the next one's in September.
- 31:35Speaker 3: I think it's September because it's hotter than balls up
- 31:39Speaker 3: in the auditorium turn.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Well, I don't know, Yeah, I can imagine you. Uh,
- 31:46Speaker 4: maybe he needs to get girls to wrestle.
- 31:49Speaker 5: In there and like pools, you know in the summertime,
- 31:55Speaker 5: like chocolate pudding, yeah, anything, you know whatever.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Jello clothes, law, coast law. There's four, he says, they're
- 32:10Speaker 3: reading here. There's four U two fools. March twenty second,
- 32:14Speaker 3: June seventh, September thirteenth, and December sixth. So there it
- 32:20Speaker 3: is March twenty two, which is almost a week away,
- 32:23Speaker 3: June seventh.
- 32:24Speaker 4: June seventh.
- 32:25Speaker 3: That's gonna be a warm one. Oh, it's gonna be
- 32:28Speaker 3: hot in there. You're gonna have to wear you wear
- 32:31Speaker 3: your tank top, and your speed up September thirteenth and
- 32:36Speaker 3: December sixth, So.
- 32:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't remember ever going to June.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Probably weren't invited.
- 32:45Speaker 4: Probably.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Yeah, So has Rex ever thought about like maybe getting
- 32:50Speaker 3: you in the Ring?
- 32:51Speaker 4: I would love to if I didn't lose my leg.
- 32:54Speaker 4: Oh man, I would train so hot for that. I
- 32:57Speaker 4: love that.
- 32:58Speaker 3: How'd you lose your leg?
- 33:00Speaker 4: Motorcycle as Yeah, you've had You've had some health issues.
- 33:08Speaker 3: And I'm gonna say this right now once again, God
- 33:13Speaker 3: bless your wife Julie for dealing with all of your shit.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Kenny.
- 33:18Speaker 4: Well, every time, every time I don't seem to I'm
- 33:22Speaker 4: gonna make it, I end up pulling through. I know.
- 33:25Speaker 4: That's what it's like. If I was a cat, I
- 33:27Speaker 4: went through all ten lives, well nine, but I'm up
- 33:31Speaker 4: to ten right now. But and you know what, right now,
- 33:35Speaker 4: I'm feeling really good and strong.
- 33:37Speaker 3: And you know what you're doing right now, this very second,
- 33:40Speaker 3: You're capturing your legacy for Julie to watch, for your
- 33:46Speaker 3: kids to watch, your family members to watch. Yeah, you're happy. Yeah,
- 33:51Speaker 3: even though you've been through the Ringer and then and
- 33:55Speaker 3: then some. So the last time I had you on
- 33:58Speaker 3: here a couple of weeks go, maybe a month or
- 34:02Speaker 3: two ago.
- 34:03Speaker 4: Yeah, Rex won't let me come back on Fridays. What
- 34:05Speaker 4: I'm no more? He said, I took too much attention
- 34:09Speaker 4: away from him.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Right right after we had you. He killed me right
- 34:23Speaker 3: after we had you in the air. Uh the ship
- 34:26Speaker 3: hit the fan with your health?
- 34:28Speaker 4: Yeah, what happened?
- 34:30Speaker 3: Can you? Can you share this with.
- 34:32Speaker 4: I think my kidneys. They had me on some special antibiotic.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Uh do antibiotics even work with you?
- 34:42Speaker 4: No, I'm resistant to it. But they try to give
- 34:45Speaker 4: me this new formula of antibiotic and it ended up
- 34:51Speaker 4: shutting my kidneys down. And I almost died, and they
- 34:54Speaker 4: ship they had to ship me up to Burlington. I
- 34:57Speaker 4: made that and and then I lost my finger. It's
- 35:03Speaker 4: just one thing after another. But I'm still plugging along,
- 35:07Speaker 4: all right. You know what happened with the finger, my finger?
- 35:10Speaker 4: I was making dinner and I end up cutting it.
- 35:14Speaker 4: You know, I cleaned it, washed it. I should have
- 35:16Speaker 4: got a couple of stitches, but in me, I just
- 35:22Speaker 4: did the best I could take care of it. And
- 35:25Speaker 4: a couple of days later it got infected and then
- 35:29Speaker 4: they amputated half of it, and then I had to
- 35:32Speaker 4: go back and get the rest of it off.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Okay, but you got another finger that's missing too, right
- 35:39Speaker 3: half only half half?
- 35:44Speaker 4: Half?
- 35:48Speaker 3: Can I tell you what Rex said to me when
- 35:54Speaker 3: you lost this last finger?
- 35:56Speaker 4: I can just imagine.
- 35:57Speaker 3: What do you think he said?
- 35:58Speaker 4: I got? I do Frank knowles, I'm gonna wouldn't be
- 36:02Speaker 4: able to satisfy my wife. I don't know.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Rex says to me, that goddamn asshole. He knows he's
- 36:17Speaker 3: not supposed to be using a knife. He knows he's
- 36:20Speaker 3: not supposed to be doing that. What are you doing with, Kenny?
- 36:24Speaker 3: I mean, he's yelling at me as if I was
- 36:27Speaker 3: big Kenny. He was upset with you for doing that. Buddy,
- 36:30Speaker 3: You're not supposed to be doing stuff like that. You
- 36:32Speaker 3: know that I was making dinner. What do you want
- 36:35Speaker 3: me to do?
- 36:36Speaker 4: I'm always using knives, you know what I mean.
- 36:45Speaker 3: I'm gonna show the puppy again, puppy cam. You ready,
- 36:50Speaker 3: you look at that? Oh my god, And we haven't
- 36:56Speaker 3: even named this dog yet, do you know? Do you
- 37:01Speaker 3: know one of the in my opinion, one of the
- 37:04Speaker 3: greatest smells on the planet ever, is the look at
- 37:12Speaker 3: look at getting comfortable? Is the smell puppy breath, of
- 37:17Speaker 3: puppy breath. If there was a candle that was puppy
- 37:23Speaker 3: breath smell, I'd buy it. Look at that dog right there.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Oh my god, I wonder if my wife's watching.
- 37:34Speaker 1: M h.
- 37:37Speaker 3: And you're saying that this this one here could be mine.
- 37:42Speaker 4: It is yours. What do you mean could be? Oh?
- 37:48Speaker 4: Look at that faced you have face? Huh say hi
- 37:53Speaker 4: to everybody?
- 37:54Speaker 5: Hold on, yeah, Oh my god.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Can you're killing me, buddy, You're just killing me.
- 38:02Speaker 4: Can you imagine if you brought her home? Your daughter
- 38:05Speaker 4: would be screaming, screaming, Oh my gosh, she goes to
- 38:10Speaker 4: school today, right, yes, what times she get out?
- 38:13Speaker 3: Oh, don't do that, don't stone ask me does she
- 38:16Speaker 3: get out? Do not ask me that question.
- 38:18Speaker 4: I'll find Rex and I'll get your brad dress and
- 38:20Speaker 4: I'll drop it off.
- 38:23Speaker 5: Oh my god, killing me, buddy, John.
- 38:29Speaker 3: I need a home, did you see the.
- 38:34Speaker 4: No? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I need a home.
- 38:48Speaker 3: So uh, no motorcycling for you anymore. Those days, those days.
- 38:52Speaker 4: I wish I could. I mean, I guess I could.
- 38:55Speaker 4: But you know up here you don't even have for
- 39:00Speaker 4: an amount of money you spend on a bike. Now
- 39:02Speaker 4: to live in Vermont with it. You get like a
- 39:06Speaker 4: couple of months and that that's it. Like you said,
- 39:09Speaker 4: the roads are loaded with sand and crap and plot
- 39:13Speaker 4: holes up.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah you don't. You know what can almost be
- 39:19Speaker 3: more dangerous than the potholes is the frost eaves because
- 39:25Speaker 3: you can't see them.
- 39:27Speaker 4: You know. So on one ten, on one ten they
- 39:30Speaker 4: put all new colvids in. Yeah right a summer, yes,
- 39:33Speaker 4: so they sank sank down this winter and I come
- 39:36Speaker 4: in here it was like boom boom. I was like, wow,
- 39:40Speaker 4: it was crazy, the frosties.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, if you get the if the sun
- 39:44Speaker 3: is shining just right, you will not see that dip
- 39:48Speaker 3: in the road. And if you're on if you're on
- 39:51Speaker 3: a motorcycle.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Forget it.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Forget it. You getting your the front tires coming off,
- 39:56Speaker 3: you're getting air. It's it's so, it's so do you
- 40:00Speaker 3: I do you do? Yeah?
- 40:01Speaker 4: What do you got?
- 40:02Speaker 3: Triumph?
- 40:03Speaker 4: Oh? Nice spike?
- 40:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Chuck wants to buy it. Yeah, it's a Triumph,
- 40:09Speaker 3: a street cup nice nine beautiful. I love it.
- 40:14Speaker 4: You know.
- 40:14Speaker 3: It's a cafe racer Yeah yeah, yeah, I love it man.
- 40:20Speaker 3: And a dirt bike too, And you know, my little kid,
- 40:23Speaker 3: my little lily, she rides a dirt bike.
- 40:26Speaker 4: And my kids did all that. I bought them all
- 40:28Speaker 4: dirt bikes and quads.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Now all I ride is a side by side Polaris.
- 40:36Speaker 4: Oh you got one of those? Yeah? One thousand? Nice? Well,
- 40:39Speaker 4: I like it. It's like I'm you know, it has
- 40:41Speaker 4: the dump body on it, so I can work around
- 40:44Speaker 4: the house and get wooden dump it or dirt.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Sure. So yeah, yeah, you you almost have to have
- 40:52Speaker 3: something like that up where you live.
- 40:53Speaker 4: Yeah. I use that. I use that a lot when
- 40:56Speaker 4: I'm hunting and stuff. You know. It's my actually, it's
- 40:58Speaker 4: my legs to get around in the woods, you know.
- 41:01Speaker 3: Sure. So yeah, did I tell you I'm going to
- 41:06Speaker 3: see a C d C. No, hyeah at Gillette Stadium.
- 41:11Speaker 4: I hate those big venues.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's a C d C.
- 41:15Speaker 4: I know that. I you know. And unless you're right
- 41:20Speaker 4: down on top of them, you know, I don't know.
- 41:26Speaker 4: I don't like those older bands now, like Daryl Smith
- 41:29Speaker 4: and all those older bands and stuff. You know, you
- 41:33Speaker 4: think they would stay to a smaller venue. Yeh, you
- 41:36Speaker 4: know this way it's I think that is sounding.
- 41:41Speaker 3: You know what. Even in Gillette stadium. Not going to
- 41:46Speaker 3: have any trouble here in a.
- 41:47Speaker 4: C oh I know. Well, it's like Fenway Park. Fenway
- 41:50Speaker 4: Park's doing it now, so you know, they're doing a
- 41:54Speaker 4: lot of shows there. I got to tell you know
- 41:56Speaker 4: what was good. They had a Bruins game oh side
- 42:02Speaker 4: f emly Pie way back, and I gotta tell you
- 42:05Speaker 4: that was a lot of fun. You know what I mean? Dad?
- 42:08Speaker 4: It went down what ice hockey game at? Yeah? Really? Yeah?
- 42:16Speaker 3: And you went to that. Yeah, just a one and
- 42:21Speaker 3: done type thing.
- 42:22Speaker 4: I think they did it a couple of times. They
- 42:24Speaker 4: were doing it all over. You know. They wore the
- 42:26Speaker 4: old school Uh.
- 42:28Speaker 3: The old school uniforms.
- 42:30Speaker 4: Sweater, Yeah, uniforms. Wow, you know that's cool as hell. Yeah.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Where are you from in mass? Some of them Somerville.
- 42:42Speaker 4: Then it moved to Mephid and then I'm no doubt
- 42:45Speaker 4: that a western part of mass.
- 42:48Speaker 3: So we up here what we say Medford, Medford mepha.
- 42:54Speaker 3: You're saying Mempha Mepha. Don't use the ah. What was
- 43:03Speaker 3: it like in Medford?
- 43:07Speaker 4: Well back then? City life, I hear.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Now it's a zoo in Summerville. What was it like
- 43:13Speaker 3: grown up as a kid?
- 43:14Speaker 4: Same? Some of those nice, a lot of bars, a
- 43:17Speaker 4: lot of you know the old remember the old school bakeries.
- 43:23Speaker 4: They had cookies and homemade breads and cold coots and
- 43:28Speaker 4: all that stuff. They don't have that stuff. No, everything's gone.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Any Jewish, delicate, delicate they used.
- 43:35Speaker 4: To be back in the day. But nothing now. I
- 43:38Speaker 4: heard that. It's all it's crazy. It's all colleges now,
- 43:42Speaker 4: like Toughs, Toughs, University, Hobbit, you know Cambridge, all those
- 43:48Speaker 4: all those towns. Uh, that city's adjacent to Boston. You know,
- 43:57Speaker 4: they're all college now. The colleges are buying up all
- 44:00Speaker 4: the housing to put these kids. You know, they pay
- 44:06Speaker 4: rent them. Sure, I can't imagine what the families must
- 44:10Speaker 4: get charged to have a place for their kids. But
- 44:15Speaker 4: I can't imagine.
- 44:17Speaker 3: What was it? What was it like growing up though,
- 44:19Speaker 3: as a kid in high school? What was your what
- 44:21Speaker 3: was your family like?
- 44:22Speaker 4: Your Oh, low income? I was low income, low income.
- 44:27Speaker 4: You know what I mean. I grew up you know
- 44:30Speaker 4: rough well, I mean, like I said, I used to
- 44:33Speaker 4: shine shoes at the bars, and I used to get
- 44:36Speaker 4: all the mailmen, the mailman because back then, and the
- 44:40Speaker 4: mailman used to walk them, you know, the beat and
- 44:43Speaker 4: I used to work for a mailman. I used to
- 44:46Speaker 4: run up and down and some of them the stair
- 44:49Speaker 4: the stairways and put the mail up there. And I
- 44:53Speaker 4: used to get a couple bucks. That would give me
- 44:55Speaker 4: money to buy, you know, an ice cream off the truck,
- 44:58Speaker 4: you know what I mean. And we used to shine shoes,
- 45:03Speaker 4: and then we used to have David Square and some
- 45:07Speaker 4: of them they used to be like a small You
- 45:11Speaker 4: ever been to Boston and Haymarket.
- 45:14Speaker 5: It's not there no more. It might be smaller now.
- 45:16Speaker 5: Haymarket Square, Haymarket Square.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Yeah, well they used to have eighties weekends in the eighties, eighties,
- 45:22Speaker 4: even earlier. They used to sell all the fruits and
- 45:26Speaker 4: vegetables right from Chelsea. Chelsea's the big protos sexual where
- 45:31Speaker 4: all the stuff comes in, and then they distributed it
- 45:34Speaker 4: out to all the towns and cities and then Haymarket
- 45:39Speaker 4: usually the stuff that's just about ripe, and you go
- 45:44Speaker 4: down there and you know, buy what you want. We
- 45:46Speaker 4: used to get like big trays of strawberries for four bucks.
- 45:51Speaker 4: The whole thing that been ina is for a couple bucks,
- 45:54Speaker 4: you know, so wow. But yeah, that's what I remember
- 45:58Speaker 4: as a kid running around always try to hustle and
- 46:01Speaker 4: make somebody, you know, bring it in bottles, you know,
- 46:04Speaker 4: to get the nickels and stuff, and you know whatever
- 46:08Speaker 4: it took to put a buck in your pocket.
- 46:11Speaker 3: When did you start getting into trouble?
- 46:17Speaker 4: My whole life, whole life, man, my whole life. Oh boy.
- 46:28Speaker 4: And I had a crazy Italian mother. She used to
- 46:31Speaker 4: beat the snot out of me. Oh my god, what
- 46:35Speaker 4: a temper. I couldn't even say the wrong word around her.
- 46:40Speaker 4: I'd get a beatn mm hmm.
- 46:44Speaker 3: But she'd get after you for getting into shenanigans.
- 46:50Speaker 4: Oh yeah, oh yeah, Oh yeah.
- 46:55Speaker 3: What about dad?
- 46:57Speaker 4: What shenanigans? No?
- 47:00Speaker 3: How did he deal with you?
- 47:01Speaker 4: Oh? My dad? Yeah, he was the quiet one. You know.
- 47:05Speaker 4: He did in military time. He was a he was
- 47:08Speaker 4: in a country boy from Pennsylvania and uh good guy,
- 47:15Speaker 4: very quiet, laid back. Now he wasn't being force. It
- 47:20Speaker 4: was the mother really. Oh yeah, wo man, I'm just
- 47:25Speaker 4: going back mm hmmmm. My father used to do a
- 47:30Speaker 4: thing when he was pissed at me. He used to
- 47:32Speaker 4: get a towel that he had and it was all
- 47:35Speaker 4: fred at one end and he twisted up and snapping
- 47:38Speaker 4: on my butt. Oh man, that thing used to stink.
- 47:45Speaker 4: How about that nighttime when the street lights come on.
- 47:48Speaker 4: I don't know you're from Vermar, right, so no such
- 47:51Speaker 4: thing as street lights.
- 47:52Speaker 3: A yeah, but that's when you were supposed to come home.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Yeah, come home all the whistle. My father would whistle
- 47:57Speaker 4: and we'd be running. Get there quick. Are you in trouble?
- 48:03Speaker 3: Did you have to be home by you know a
- 48:05Speaker 3: certain times?
- 48:06Speaker 4: Younger? You know, get home? Well? You remember Walt Disney
- 48:11Speaker 4: right when you were kids. Sure, Walt Disney used to
- 48:14Speaker 4: take your shower or bath at the time. Get all
- 48:18Speaker 4: cleaned up right, get ready for school the next day
- 48:21Speaker 4: it was Sundays, right, and then uh, you know, have
- 48:26Speaker 4: dinner and watch Walt Disney. And then you were in
- 48:30Speaker 4: put the bed.
- 48:31Speaker 3: Yeah. Do you ever sneak out?
- 48:37Speaker 4: Yeah? And now I got back, come back, And I
- 48:41Speaker 4: got my ass kicked for that too. A building caught
- 48:44Speaker 4: and fire down where we lived, I remember, and I
- 48:47Speaker 4: seen it. I saw I want to go check it out.
- 48:49Speaker 4: So I squeezed between the door. There was a chain,
- 48:52Speaker 4: you know how the doors old screen doors had the
- 48:55Speaker 4: chain up top. Yeah, So I squeezed through the bottom
- 48:58Speaker 4: and I went and checked it out. So I was
- 48:59Speaker 4: like I'm trying to squeeze back in. She grabbed me
- 49:02Speaker 4: by my hand, pulled me back through. Who did my mother?
- 49:09Speaker 4: Let me tell you, I could go. I could tell
- 49:11Speaker 4: stories about that stuff the days.
- 49:17Speaker 3: That's why you should write a book. You'd have to,
- 49:23Speaker 3: you know, you'd have to do it voice to text
- 49:25Speaker 3: because you don't have all your fingers to do it right.
- 49:27Speaker 4: Type no more. I couldn't type. My hands are so
- 49:31Speaker 4: banged up it's not even funny.
- 49:33Speaker 3: So after high school, what did you do? Did you
- 49:36Speaker 3: go to did you go to college? What did you do?
- 49:39Speaker 4: No? I got into working in the union.
- 49:44Speaker 3: You down on the shipyards?
- 49:46Speaker 4: No? No, No, Boston Union Local twenty two labors, you
- 49:51Speaker 4: know the big dig Yeah, Ted Williams Tonnel. All that
- 49:56Speaker 4: I did, that building's high rises. There was more money
- 50:00Speaker 4: making into that. I made a lot of money.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Some shady cats in there unions. Yeah.
- 50:06Speaker 4: Yeah, you got the good and you got the bad.
- 50:09Speaker 3: What was the bad? Any mobsters? What mobsters?
- 50:14Speaker 2: Um?
- 50:16Speaker 4: They were a few, you know, there were a few.
- 50:22Speaker 3: Winter Park No those guys.
- 50:25Speaker 4: No you I'm talking more Rhode Island guys.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Do you remember Whitey Bulcher?
- 50:33Speaker 4: Oh? Yeah, I used to hang around with his nephew
- 50:36Speaker 4: and stuff. I used to do the football cards for
- 50:43Speaker 4: them back in the day. I remember the football cads.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Tell me about that.
- 50:49Speaker 4: Tell you about that. I would get every week, big stack.
- 50:56Speaker 4: You know, once again, it's all about hustle and money, right.
- 51:00Speaker 4: The cars. I think I got like twenty five cents
- 51:04Speaker 4: of cod that I brought in and put in from
- 51:07Speaker 4: guys that you know play And then each week I
- 51:12Speaker 4: would collect the cars and go around and collect the
- 51:15Speaker 4: money or do payouts and you know, pick up money
- 51:20Speaker 4: that people owe money for gambling.
- 51:23Speaker 3: You know what was your reaction when Sonny Polger got.
- 51:28Speaker 4: It was weird though, because a lot of guys they
- 51:30Speaker 4: were like you know, they would they would bet the
- 51:34Speaker 4: house man. They would always think they were gonna win
- 51:37Speaker 4: that next that next big hit, and then they would
- 51:42Speaker 4: owe thousands and some kids like march madness, right, kids
- 51:48Speaker 4: lose their shirts. And now from all the bookies and stuff,
- 51:53Speaker 4: they got to pay up, right, So these bookies they'll
- 51:56Speaker 4: go to the pirates and go, hey, listen, you want
- 51:58Speaker 4: your kid not to get his ass kicked, you better
- 52:01Speaker 4: pay up his debt for you know, five grand, two
- 52:05Speaker 4: grand or whatever it is. You know, I was, I
- 52:09Speaker 4: was in shock, like how people you know, really, you know,
- 52:16Speaker 4: I guess it's like a disease about anything, right, Yeah, So.
- 52:21Speaker 3: How'd you get how'd you get tangled up in motorcycle
- 52:25Speaker 3: and motorcycle clubs?
- 52:27Speaker 4: I was always ride, like you said, dirt bikes.
- 52:29Speaker 1: This.
- 52:30Speaker 3: What was your first bike?
- 52:32Speaker 4: It was, well, my very first bike was a Kwazaki
- 52:36Speaker 4: Kzy two fifty, you know, the little green machine stuff
- 52:40Speaker 4: back in the day. And then seventies, Yeah, mid mid
- 52:46Speaker 4: late seventies. Don't ask me what year, I don't remember.
- 52:51Speaker 4: Then I had a Yamaha what was that bike? V Max?
- 53:00Speaker 4: A Vmax I think that was the Amaha. And then
- 53:03Speaker 4: I went into the hollies, you know, fat boys, and
- 53:07Speaker 4: then I had an electric Guide road Glide. I had
- 53:10Speaker 4: a couple sportsters, you know, I started buying them. I
- 53:15Speaker 4: had like five of them, six of them joined the club. Yeah,
- 53:21Speaker 4: joined the club. Did that for a while, that's all
- 53:25Speaker 4: I got hurt.
- 53:26Speaker 3: What's a while, I don't know, twenty years.
- 53:33Speaker 4: Shy of that, Yeah, yeah, fifteen fourteen years maybe.
- 53:39Speaker 3: What was it like being part of the club.
- 53:42Speaker 4: It was good brotherhood, running, you know, always busy, you know,
- 53:47Speaker 4: you had always guys that were down to go out
- 53:51Speaker 4: and do things. You know, sometimes you get friends they
- 53:54Speaker 4: don't want to go out and training, they don't want
- 53:56Speaker 4: to ride in and or whatever. So you always, uh
- 54:00Speaker 4: always had something to do or parties every week, you know,
- 54:04Speaker 4: so you got to enjoy yourself, got to uh meet
- 54:08Speaker 4: some interesting cats out there, you know, and uh there
- 54:16Speaker 4: was a lot of fun. Yeah. Tight family, tight family
- 54:28Speaker 4: growing up. It was until we got water On and
- 54:31Speaker 4: started to split up a little bit. Everybody did their
- 54:35Speaker 4: thing all the club, the club, Yeah yeah, yeah, tight
- 54:40Speaker 4: and stuff. You know. Then again, you know, I'm not
- 54:46Speaker 4: gonna say anything anything disrespectful or anything to anybody, but
- 54:51Speaker 4: you know, you got the pros and cards to anything
- 54:54Speaker 4: out there. You know that. You know, you get good
- 54:57Speaker 4: and bad. You know, some people make it bad for
- 55:01Speaker 4: you and some people make it enjoy enjoyable.
- 55:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Jeff, any regrets when you were part of this
- 55:13Speaker 3: one motorcycle club?
- 55:19Speaker 4: No, no, no, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed everything about
- 55:25Speaker 4: it until I got hurt.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Yeah, you miss it, You miss you miss riding?
- 55:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I miss riding. You know, I missed the camaraderie
- 55:35Speaker 4: of it and stuff. You know, we like, you know,
- 55:38Speaker 4: with Rex, it was a lot of fun. We used
- 55:40Speaker 4: to have a lot of lives. Yeah, a lot of
- 55:43Speaker 4: fucking fun. Yeah.
- 55:47Speaker 3: And he uh, he ran down to Massachusetts, right.
- 55:53Speaker 4: Yeah. We would go either down there or up here
- 55:56Speaker 4: and stuff, or you know, he used to come over.
- 55:59Speaker 4: You know, he was a prospect. I was already already
- 56:02Speaker 4: a member, and we had at my place. At my place,
- 56:10Speaker 4: we had a huge, huge biker body. They were tents RVs.
- 56:19Speaker 4: I mean I had the whole mountaintop up there with
- 56:22Speaker 4: guys on bikes motorcycles. There had to be about two
- 56:26Speaker 4: hundred people up there. And Rex come up there, because
- 56:29Speaker 4: you know he does the construction. He brought up a
- 56:31Speaker 4: bunch of wood. He had a what do he have
- 56:36Speaker 4: like a dump truck. He dumped a bunch of wood
- 56:40Speaker 4: there to get the bomb fighters going in stuff. And
- 56:45Speaker 4: we do a lot of shooting, you know, machine guns.
- 56:52Speaker 4: We used to have a lot of laughs. Wait a second,
- 56:54Speaker 4: guys sleeping all over the place.
- 56:56Speaker 3: How'd you get a machine gun?
- 56:58Speaker 4: Wow? They were Rexes. I don't know. Blaming on Rex,
- 57:06Speaker 4: blaming on Rex. He did it. He did it.
- 57:11Speaker 3: So your health is is good today, it's it's better.
- 57:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel awesome. It's the warm weather too, you know. Yeah,
- 57:19Speaker 4: you know, winter is long up here. Being cooped up is.
- 57:23Speaker 3: To get money up there in the mountain.
- 57:24Speaker 4: Oh yeah, stotting, it's already stopting.
- 57:28Speaker 3: But you got your side by, so you I got that.
- 57:31Speaker 4: Plus I got a new truck this year, so so.
- 57:34Speaker 3: Good for you. Yeah, you're gonna get a trike.
- 57:38Speaker 4: I don't know. Rex buys it for me. I don't know.
- 57:43Speaker 4: He's got all kinds of extra money.
- 57:45Speaker 3: He does, of course he does. Like Becky says, drinking
- 57:52Speaker 3: and machine guns, what could possibly go ros a good time?
- 57:56Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a good time. I didn't say the machine
- 58:02Speaker 4: guns were full of you auto though. I didn't say that.
- 58:05Speaker 3: You never said that.
- 58:06Speaker 4: It's just a machine gun, you know exactly. I'll have
- 58:11Speaker 4: to look up the definition of that.
- 58:14Speaker 3: Yeah you should, I should, Yeah you should. You got some?
- 58:19Speaker 3: You got some tattoos all over you, buddy?
- 58:21Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I had my own shop for twenty years.

- 58:28Speaker 3: Okay?
- 58:29Speaker 4: Yeah? But I was getting them. I was getting them
- 58:32Speaker 4: since I was fifteen.

- 58:36Speaker 4: What are some some cons? Yeah?
- 58:39Speaker 3: Kiss or Aerosmith or Skinnered or I.

- 58:59Speaker 4: for there the dates because with so many surgeries I've had,
- 59:07Speaker 4: you know, they give you the uh stuff that you
- 59:09Speaker 4: don't remember, so I've lost some of my you know mind.
- 59:15Speaker 3: Yeah, they had a sea shot.
- 59:17Speaker 4: Yeah, and you know I see like Jake Giles Foreigner.
- 59:23Speaker 4: You saw Jake Giles being Yeah, Jakeles Foreigner.

- 59:45Speaker 4: they shut the show down because he wouldn't come out
- 59:48Speaker 4: because there there wasn't enough people in the audience. I
- 59:52Speaker 4: don't remember exactly, but he was all fucked up so
- 59:56Speaker 4: he wouldn't come on. They yeah, Axel.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: What about Pink Floyd.
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: No, I never seen them. I was supposed to see them,
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: and for one reason or another, I didn't get to
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: see them.

- 1:01:16Speaker 4: No, but seating and it's like kind of stadium scene
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: and then like the lawn up in the back. But
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: the seating is pretty cool. You could see from you know,
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: every seat.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: I had a friend who saw Springsteen at Great Woods.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: That's another one I wanted to see and I never could.

- 1:01:46Speaker 3: week from this coming Saturday.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: It's going to be a hell of a fight.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: I think Rex should. I think Rex should pull you
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: into the middle of the cage.
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: And have like a sable fight with me with another guy,
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: I'll do that.
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: Come on with me, Yeah, sure, sure me and you seriously,
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: I'm serious, I'll do it.

- 1:02:19Speaker 4: I'll get in there. I'll jump on your back.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: If I were to beat up a guy with one leg,
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: which I wouldn't even be able to do, I mean
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: the size of your hands, or if you get one
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: of those hands, even with a couple of missing fingers,
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: you get one of those hands wrapped around my neck.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: I'm toast. But if I were to beat up a
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: guy with one leg, you think i'd get any would
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: I lose the little respect that I still have to
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: be a bad guy?
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: So I would like slap you off the top of
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: your head and stop. So people would like, he deserves
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: to get it, get him, get him, and I'd slap
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: you off the head again. Make you mad.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: You know, I'd make you mad.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: Now you wouldn't. Well, I take my leg and run.
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: But if I made you mad, you'd never catch me.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: Bro Oh in the cage. I'll eventually catch you. I
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: won't let you up that gate.
