- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, football season. I brought in Randy McKay.
- 0:03Speaker 1: He's going to talk about some football stuff. Before I
- 0:05Speaker 1: get into that, a buddy of mine just came in
- 0:07Speaker 1: and talked about his son, Cameron Partridge, over there at
- 0:10Speaker 1: the Las Vegas Golden Knights. He's one of the guys
- 0:13Speaker 1: for the season tickets and individual games, too. Cameron Partridge
- 0:18Speaker 1: over there at the Las Vegas Golden Knights. You can
- 0:20Speaker 1: look him up and see Partridge at VegasGoldenKnights.com. I'm looking
- 0:26Speaker 1: for a deal, Cameron, just to let you know.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Go Knights go. They start at the end of the season.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Or end of the month, they start up hockey again. Amazing.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Isn't that amazing already? I want to talk about my
- 0:35Speaker 1: buddy Marcus is also in the wings here in the
- 0:39Speaker 1: peanut gallery. His Azalea House, azaleahouse.com. Am I giving the
- 0:42Speaker 1: right name? Azaleahouse.com. He sells the Masters tickets. And let
- 0:48Speaker 1: me just tell you, those Masters tickets, they get so hot.
- 0:53Speaker 1: The last two years towards the event, I've seen some
- 0:56Speaker 1: crazy prices, crazy, you know, around the event time. So
- 1:01Speaker 1: I know it's early. It's just September. You say, ah,
- 1:03Speaker 1: no big deal. Listen, we're a few short months away
- 1:08Speaker 1: from talking Masters talk again. So I say a few
- 1:12Speaker 1: short months away. Well, let's get through the winter. But, yeah,
- 1:16Speaker 1: so you should reach out to him now, though. to
- 1:19Speaker 1: talk about some Masters tickets if you guys are looking
- 1:21Speaker 1: to go to the Masters. Got that out of the way. Randy,
- 1:24Speaker 1: your FCS stuff has been fantastic as far as throughout
- 1:29Speaker 1: the season. Your NFL is also, I had some people
- 1:33Speaker 1: question your NFL. You win a couple of units and
- 1:36Speaker 1: they say, oh, well, you only won a few units.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I want to see someone that can beat 11-10 and
- 1:40Speaker 1: beat NFL sides. So Randy's had some really good seasons,
- 1:45Speaker 1: by the way, beating NFL sides. But you start out
- 1:48Speaker 1: with an FCS game that's available at Caesars. I see
- 1:52Speaker 1: it over at Caesars, and it's at a couple other spots. Now,
- 1:56Speaker 1: let's start right out with your best one. So you
- 1:58Speaker 1: can tell that it's Saturday night. J.H. is going to
- 2:00Speaker 1: the game. Is that right?
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yep.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Going to the game. What is it, Randy?
- 2:05Speaker 2: Northwestern versus South Dakota State Jackrabbits. I like the Jackrabbits
- 2:10Speaker 2: getting the points. Of course, these lines will be more
- 2:13Speaker 2: available Saturday night, so I recommend, or Saturday morning, excuse me,
- 2:17Speaker 2: so I recommend waiting until.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Thirteen and a half right now.
- 2:21Speaker 2: But only one sportsbook.
- 2:22Speaker 1: The rest of them are like Fanatics, The Score, Bett Rivers.
- 2:25Speaker 1: They're all 13 and a half too, but only one
- 2:27Speaker 1: right now. But I'm sure it'll become widely available close
- 2:29Speaker 1: to the game.
- 2:30Speaker 2: South Dakota State, one of the best FCS programs going today.
- 2:35Speaker 2: They're kind of rebounding after a poor season last year.
- 2:39Speaker 2: which they got knocked out early in the playoffs. But
- 2:42Speaker 2: they're the new kind of favorite since North Dakota State
- 2:45Speaker 2: went to the Mountain West. They're the new favorite in
- 2:47Speaker 2: the FCS along with the two Montana schools. They're going
- 2:51Speaker 2: to give Northwestern a good game here. Expect a low-scoring,
- 2:55Speaker 2: grinder-type game and maybe even an outright shot here for
- 2:59Speaker 2: the dog.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Okay. Now that's your best play for that day in
- 3:03Speaker 1: the college football, let's call it the extra game board.
- 3:05Speaker 1: You said you had a couple other games for people?
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I like the Tennessee State Club here going into Georgia.
- 3:12Speaker 2: The Sacrificial Lamb. Kirby Smart, not known to run it
- 3:16Speaker 2: up on these small little schools and play all his players,
- 3:19Speaker 2: get them time. You know, a warm-up game here for
- 3:22Speaker 2: the Georgia Bulldogs. He has not covered one of these
- 3:25Speaker 2: games in his tenure, which I believe is 14 years
- 3:29Speaker 2: or so.
- 3:29Speaker 1: That line's only 48 and a half.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah, you're getting plenty of good points here.
- 3:34Speaker 1: 48 and a half. It sounds like a lot, but
- 3:37Speaker 1: a lot of these big line games are total blowouts.
- 3:40Speaker 1: So let's see if we'll get that one in for you.
- 3:43Speaker 1: But you don't like that one as much as the
- 3:44Speaker 1: first one, as the Jackrabbits.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Okay, what else you got?
- 3:48Speaker 2: I got Idaho State here, and I forgot to write
- 3:52Speaker 2: down who they're playing.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I'll look for it and you get the ideas. Idaho State.
- 3:59Speaker 2: The Bengals here.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Playing Utah State. Idaho State getting 13 and a half.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Utah State. I didn't have it written down. It should
- 4:06Speaker 2: be a close game as well. Idaho State. Pretty close
- 4:11Speaker 2: proximity to these two teams. A little familiar with the
- 4:15Speaker 2: kids here. I got this game you know, like a touchdown,
- 4:20Speaker 2: and they got it, you know, double digits, so got
- 4:23Speaker 2: to take the double digits. You know, you're looking for
- 4:25Speaker 2: good underdogs here with these matchups, and that is definitely
- 4:28Speaker 2: one of them.
- 4:30Speaker 1: All right, you can get 14 at Fanatics. If anyone
- 4:32Speaker 1: has a Fanatics account, they have 14. Randy has a
- 4:36Speaker 1: Fanatics account, don't you? Yeah. For about two seconds.
- 4:41Speaker 2: They don't last very long in Fanatics.
- 4:43Speaker 1: All right, what else you got on your genius book there?
- 4:45Speaker 2: Yeah, Rhode Island versus Temple here.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Good old Rhode Island. That's a big line game.
- 4:51Speaker 2: They actually are making an impression this year in the FCS.
- 4:54Speaker 2: They had a good run last year in the playoffs,
- 4:57Speaker 2: so really like them against, you know, Temple's never been
- 5:00Speaker 2: known as a big football school. Another nice dog.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You got some nice dogs here. 15, 15 and a
- 5:06Speaker 1: half out there.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Not that great of a school. You know, our friend
- 5:08Speaker 2: Thomas Gable, he went... No, he didn't go to Temple.
- 5:12Speaker 2: He went to St. Joe's. But... Yeah, like Rhode Island here,
- 5:17Speaker 2: Temple not known for being a high-level football team, so
- 5:21Speaker 2: this should be another close game and a tough battle
- 5:25Speaker 2: for the bigger school.
- 5:26Speaker 1: All right, some live dogs. All right, what else?
- 5:28Speaker 2: Tarlington State.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Where's that located?
- 5:32Speaker 2: That's in Utah.
- 5:33Speaker 1: All right, good. Tarlington, that was one of Allen Boston's
- 5:37Speaker 1: basketball games that he used to give out.
- 5:39Speaker 2: So they're a small dog. in this game here. And
- 5:42Speaker 2: if you remember last year, first week, they beat Army outright.
- 5:47Speaker 2: So I like them winning this game. They're only getting
- 5:50Speaker 2: two and a half. So I like them in this spot. Again,
- 5:54Speaker 2: forgot to write down who they're playing. Bowling Green. Bowling Green,
- 5:58Speaker 2: not known as their MAAC team. Not a high-level MAAC team,
- 6:03Speaker 2: and I should have wrote that down. I apologize to
- 6:06Speaker 2: the viewers here, but Tarlington State probably should be the
- 6:10Speaker 2: favorite in this game.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Okay, you got a wrong team favorite there. Okay, good.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Some people say, how can you not know what state
- 6:17Speaker 1: they're in? I don't care what state they're in. I
- 6:20Speaker 1: don't have to know any of the names of the
- 6:22Speaker 1: players or anything on these teams. I just know that
- 6:26Speaker 1: if they line up, if analytics says you're supposed to
- 6:27Speaker 1: play it, You play it, and that's what you do also, Randy.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know quite where all these colleges are
- 6:33Speaker 2: off the top of my head. I'd have to look
- 6:35Speaker 2: up some of them, and I definitely don't know all
- 6:37Speaker 2: their nicknames.
- 6:39Speaker 1: What about the NFL, Randy? What can you tell us?
- 6:42Speaker 1: Anything right now that– can anyone get on anything right now, really?
- 6:45Speaker 1: Or kind of your stuff, you bet your week one
- 6:48Speaker 1: stuff probably moved a lot. I know I bet some
- 6:50Speaker 1: week one stuff that– but then again– They can come
- 6:55Speaker 1: back some of the lines, you know what I mean? Like,
- 6:58Speaker 1: did you lay six and a half with the Lions
- 6:59Speaker 1: or anything like that week one?
- 7:01Speaker 2: Well, I laid three with the Seahawks.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I might come back.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Well, the Seahawks line opened up five, though.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:06Speaker 1: It went down to three minus. Right now it's three
- 7:09Speaker 1: and a half even.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:10Speaker 1: So you might get a three with Seattle laying three.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Looking at that first game, you know, with their injuries
- 7:16Speaker 2: and a little shakiness coming into this game. I could
- 7:19Speaker 2: see that line dropping. But, again, this is a tough
- 7:22Speaker 2: spot for New England. You know, playing against the champions
- 7:25Speaker 2: here in this first week. So I like the Seattle team,
- 7:28Speaker 2: especially at home in this first game. So I like
- 7:32Speaker 2: that one.
- 7:32Speaker 1: But let's not use it as an official pick or anything.
- 7:35Speaker 1: We'll do picks next week.
- 7:37Speaker 2: We'll do them picks next week. Do you want to
- 7:38Speaker 2: talk about some divisions?
- 7:40Speaker 1: Sure. Let's start with the AFC North.
- 7:43Speaker 2: AFC North. I don't like this one as much, but
- 7:47Speaker 2: I like Baltimore as the number one team. Cincinnati number two.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Of course, you've got to go Pittsburgh, number three, even
- 7:55Speaker 2: though I'm not real high in Pittsburgh. And, of course,
- 7:58Speaker 2: that Cleveland Browns wreck of a team.
- 8:01Speaker 1: So now you could bet that. Like, I'm looking at BetMGM.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You could bet each to go in a certain division.
- 8:07Speaker 1: It's funny. You could pick the Browns to go in fourth.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You lay two to one. It looks like it's easy
- 8:11Speaker 1: because the Browns are going to be that bad. But
- 8:12Speaker 1: you never know how bad the Steelers can be. Or
- 8:15Speaker 1: it all takes to Joe Burrow going down. You don't know.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Yeah, and the Browns have a decent roster. It's just
- 8:21Speaker 2: that quarterback position and then with all that other turmoil.
- 8:25Speaker 2: And their offensive line is ranked like my lowest. So,
- 8:30Speaker 2: I mean, that's a.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Big problem right there. I bet under six and a half.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You've got to let $ 1. 50 or something. I bet under. So,
- 8:36Speaker 1: would you recommend a Ravens bet to win the AFC
- 8:39Speaker 1: North minus $ 1. 10 or no? Not your strongest. You're just
- 8:43Speaker 1: breaking the division down. We'll get to some.
- 8:45Speaker 2: That's a new coach as well, so... You know, a
- 8:47Speaker 2: little question mark there. But I like them a little
- 8:50Speaker 2: better than the Bengals just because the Bengals seem like
- 8:52Speaker 2: they're tough.
- 8:53Speaker 1: We've got to give the waitress a play here for
- 8:54Speaker 1: some drinks. I hate to take her space up. Can
- 8:57Speaker 1: I have a couple bottles of water, please? And you
- 9:00Speaker 1: guys want anything? You guys want anything? No? Okay.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I'm okay. Thank you.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Just a couple bottles of water. Thank you. Texans. AFC South.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Texans are the overwhelming favorite here.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I like them as well. I like them actually
- 9:14Speaker 2: over the total of as far as rsw's go.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Okay regular season wins yeah i like that.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Over jacksonville second uh the colts colts and titans third
- 9:24Speaker 2: and then the titans i don't know about this titans
- 9:27Speaker 2: team with the you know if this quarterback's any good
- 9:30Speaker 2: you know they didn't show out like i thought they
- 9:32Speaker 2: wouldn't pre-season so uh you know they're expecting better things
- 9:36Speaker 2: from the titans this year i just don't see it
- 9:39Speaker 2: I think they're going to be one of the teams
- 9:42Speaker 2: on the bottom.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Okay, Houston Texans. Would you recommend a bet at this
- 9:47Speaker 1: to make the bet? It's 9.5 over 55. Yeah, the
- 9:52Speaker 1: juice has.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Gotten probably a little too high there. So I would
- 9:56Speaker 2: not at this time.
- 9:58Speaker 1: If you could find a 9.5 over 25. or something,
- 10:00Speaker 1: which you may. I'm only reading one line here, guys.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Would you bet them to win the AFC South, though,
- 10:08Speaker 1: at plus $ 1. 20?
- 10:09Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're getting plus money, I'd like to.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Plus money over Jacksonville, which has the.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Jacksonville's got a very tough schedule. And, you know, we're
- 10:20Speaker 2: in Survivor. I might get rid of them early. I'm
- 10:23Speaker 2: not sure yet.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Speaking of which, I'm glad you mentioned this. Week one Survivor,
- 10:29Speaker 1: Randy and I are both in Grandissimo. Week one, I'm thinking, like,
- 10:36Speaker 1: the Raiders might be a good pick. You're not going
- 10:38Speaker 1: to get to pick them all year. You can pick
- 10:39Speaker 1: them over Miami. but do you have the stones to
- 10:42Speaker 1: pick them in grandissimo? Maybe a couple of our survivor entries,
- 10:46Speaker 1: but in grandissimo would be tough to choose them, lose 100,000
- 10:50Speaker 1: in one week.
- 10:51Speaker 2: We'll see if somebody does that. I bet you there
- 10:54Speaker 2: might be a couple guys that have two entries that
- 10:56Speaker 2: might take one. We'll wait and see on that.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Are you looking towards week one at all? Here you go, dear.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Are you looking towards week one at all to do...
- 11:07Speaker 1: Here you go. Thank you. Thanks. Are you looking week one, though,
- 11:10Speaker 1: right now, or not even looking yet, do you think,
- 11:12Speaker 1: on your survivors and everything? Oh, yeah.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I'm always looking to decide who I'm going to take
- 11:17Speaker 2: in week one and week two. I always prepare a
- 11:20Speaker 2: few weeks ahead who I'm going to take and who
- 11:24Speaker 2: I might take and try to be a little contrary
- 11:27Speaker 2: to the field as well. Okay.
- 11:29Speaker 1: All right. So I just Trying to get something out
- 11:31Speaker 1: of him, guys. I'm trying to get these survivors out
- 11:33Speaker 1: of him. Listen, Randy and I share a percentage, so
- 11:35Speaker 1: I don't want to give anything away anyway, but it's
- 11:37Speaker 1: week one. It's week one. All right, let's go to
- 11:40Speaker 1: AFC East. The Bills, overwhelming favorite over the Patriots. They
- 11:44Speaker 1: have to lay $ 1.
- 11:45Speaker 2: 50 to win.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Bills, Patriots, Jets, Dolphins.
- 11:48Speaker 2: If the Patriots weren't coming off a Super Bowl loss,
- 11:50Speaker 2: I would probably like them to win the division, but
- 11:54Speaker 2: I'm not high on this Bills team. I'm going to
- 11:57Speaker 2: be betting probably against them. In fact, I already have
- 12:00Speaker 2: bet against them in week one against the Texans. I'm
- 12:04Speaker 2: not real high on this Bills team, but I think
- 12:06Speaker 2: you've still got to make them the favorite. Of course,
- 12:09Speaker 2: the Patriots second.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Jets and Dolphins?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Jets, I got third, and then the Dolphins fourth. You know,
- 12:16Speaker 2: that roster is just really bad, and they could be
- 12:20Speaker 2: one of the worst teams with a new coach and
- 12:22Speaker 2: everything else. You know, I got them as the low team, Miami, and,
- 12:26Speaker 2: you know, that might be a team you look to
- 12:28Speaker 2: go against a few times.
- 12:29Speaker 1: So this is the AFC East not recommending any bets
- 12:33Speaker 1: on any futures there right now. AFC West, let's look
- 12:38Speaker 1: at the Chiefs, Chargers, Broncos, Raiders. That's the order that
- 12:41Speaker 1: I had them written down.
- 12:43Speaker 2: There is bets to make there. I like Denver to
- 12:45Speaker 2: win the division.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Wow, you could take 225 there.
- 12:48Speaker 2: They've got a tough schedule, yeah. I like them ahead
- 12:52Speaker 2: of the Chargers, and I think the Chiefs are going
- 12:54Speaker 2: to decline here. I got them third just because they're
- 12:59Speaker 2: coming off injury with Mahomes, an older team, offensive line's weaker.
- 13:05Speaker 2: You know, Kelsey last year probably. And their defense lost,
- 13:09Speaker 2: you know, a couple starters to the Rams and free agency.
- 13:12Speaker 2: So I don't know if Spagnola. Spagnola, a very good
- 13:15Speaker 2: defensive coach. But I don't know if he can, you know,
- 13:19Speaker 2: keep that team together. I could see them, you know,
- 13:23Speaker 2: they'll still be in close games. But I could see
- 13:26Speaker 2: them being third. And, of course, the Raiders, you know.
- 13:30Speaker 2: You know, it's tough. They still got a few years
- 13:33Speaker 2: to build up this team. And, you know, they should
- 13:36Speaker 2: be a little better this year. But that's a wait
- 13:38Speaker 2: and see with that Raider team.
- 13:40Speaker 1: How about this bet? You can bet the Raiders to
- 13:42Speaker 1: come in fourth in that division, AFC West finishing position.
- 13:47Speaker 1: You could bet them to come in fourth. You got
- 13:49Speaker 1: to lay two to one. I think I hate laying
- 13:51Speaker 1: two to one. But, I mean, the Broncos, Chargers, and
- 13:55Speaker 1: Chiefs can't finish below the Raiders, can they?
- 13:57Speaker 2: Yeah, unless there's a quarterback injury there. I don't see
- 14:01Speaker 2: that one.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I hate to lay two to one on anything.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Yeah, they don't, you know, even their home field isn't
- 14:07Speaker 2: that great because, you know, like when they play the
- 14:09Speaker 2: Bills this year, that stadium's going to be filled with
- 14:12Speaker 2: Bills fans. Yeah. And that's the toughest ticket to get
- 14:15Speaker 2: in town right now.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that new Bills, there's a new Bills stadium, right?
- 14:18Speaker 2: The Bills got a new stadium, but they come here
- 14:20Speaker 2: to play that.
- 14:21Speaker 1: They come here to play that.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Derek already said that's going to be there.
- 14:23Speaker 1: But everyone comes here.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Listen, one thing about, great about Vegas, the Vegas, when
- 14:28Speaker 1: you come in for a football game, People plan their
- 14:31Speaker 1: vacations around their NFL team coming here for the year,
- 14:35Speaker 1: and that's why I think it's great to have baseball
- 14:37Speaker 1: come here. Imagine you get the Yankee fans to get
- 14:40Speaker 1: to come in town for three games and play the A's.
- 14:42Speaker 1: All these teams get to come into town. The biggest thing,
- 14:45Speaker 1: I think it's so great for the city, having these big...
- 14:49Speaker 1: I personally don't want an NBA team here, but I
- 14:52Speaker 1: do like that they have football. I love the Vegas
- 14:54Speaker 1: Golden Knights, what they've done, and, of course, the football team.
- 14:58Speaker 2: All right. Baseball will be a wait and see if
- 15:00Speaker 2: that turns out pretty good.
- 15:02Speaker 1: That stadium is being built.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Excited about that stadium, yeah.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Yeah, the stadium is being built. Bally's is having financial troubles.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Maybe you want to loan them some money and see
- 15:12Speaker 1: if they can get that place built. All right, NFC North,
- 15:16Speaker 1: always a fun division. Everyone loves this division. Lions, Packers, Bears,
- 15:21Speaker 1: and Vikings, and that's the order that I had them down.
- 15:23Speaker 1: What do you have?
- 15:24Speaker 2: I have a big underdog pick here, 5-1 on the Vikings.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I think is a recommended to win the division.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Plus 550 here.
- 15:31Speaker 2: All right. Wow, even better now.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Wow.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Have to maybe add a little to it here. I
- 15:37Speaker 2: really like the additions and their offensive line and their
- 15:42Speaker 2: defense is one of the better defenses. Their offensive line,
- 15:45Speaker 2: if they stay healthy, only thing I'm worried about is depth,
- 15:49Speaker 2: and I think Kyler Murray will bring some consistency. The
- 15:52Speaker 2: quarterback room, they still won nine games last year with
- 15:56Speaker 2: a quarterback that shouldn't even be playing, this Max Rosemarie.
- 15:59Speaker 2: They just caught him and they had troubles with the
- 16:02Speaker 2: quarterback position last year. The Vikings, wow. Like them, barely
- 16:08Speaker 2: ahead of the Lions, even though the Lions got one
- 16:10Speaker 2: of the easiest schedules. So the Lions second, the Bears third.
- 16:15Speaker 2: And then the Packers. I hope you're right on the Packers.
- 16:17Speaker 2: On the basement because I do not like their offensive
- 16:20Speaker 2: line and their defense. You know, they lost their last five,
- 16:25Speaker 2: six games without Parsons. And you can just see the
- 16:28Speaker 2: holes on this defense. And they lost their defensive coordinator
- 16:31Speaker 2: who's now the head coach at Miami. So, yeah, I'm
- 16:35Speaker 2: down on the Packers this year. In fact, bet a
- 16:37Speaker 2: lot of friends that the Vikings are going to have
- 16:39Speaker 2: more wins than the Packers.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Well, they had to lay you money.
- 16:44Speaker 2: I was nice enough to get me money.
- 16:45Speaker 1: You're kidding me. Well, you got even money right here
- 16:48Speaker 1: if you want. But on a serious note, Randy, it's
- 16:52Speaker 1: a great question for the for the public. So you
- 16:55Speaker 1: like something that's five to one, let's call it plus
- 16:57Speaker 1: five to one. Do you bet the same amount of
- 16:59Speaker 1: money as you were? Let's say you like the Lions
- 17:01Speaker 1: at plus 175. You'll bet $ 1, 000 on the Lions at
- 17:05Speaker 1: plus 175. Because you like the Vikings, is your unit
- 17:08Speaker 1: size the same? You still bet $ 1, 000? Or do you
- 17:10Speaker 1: bet $ 500 and make less money on it because it's
- 17:14Speaker 1: such a long shot?
- 17:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I would bet $ 500. So you bet about half
- 17:18Speaker 2: the unit? That's the best way to bet. manage bankroll,
- 17:22Speaker 2: do that kind of thing.
- 17:24Speaker 1: NFC South. Buccaneers, Saints, Panthers, Falcons.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Now this is the tough division. Very bad teams here.
- 17:30Speaker 1: What bad teams here?
- 17:32Speaker 2: I have the Saints winning the division. I think three
- 17:38Speaker 2: out of four can win it. I have Atlanta last,
- 17:41Speaker 2: Carolina third, and then Tampa Bay second. Tampa Bay still
- 17:47Speaker 2: have Baker and the older guys there working with you.
- 17:52Speaker 2: They declined last year at the end of the season.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I really like what I see out of the Saints
- 17:56Speaker 2: team the way they finished last year. Hopefully they come
- 17:59Speaker 2: in with that momentum. They do have two tough first
- 18:02Speaker 2: games which they'll probably lose. They're both seven point underdogs
- 18:06Speaker 2: on the road. I recommend betting the Saints after week two.
- 18:11Speaker 2: You'll get the most value there in a wide open division.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Atlanta might even be starting a rookie for Moorhead State, Minnesota.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 18:20Speaker 2: That's how bad their quarterback room is with Tua and Penix.
- 18:25Speaker 2: The one year I played college football, we played against
- 18:28Speaker 2: Moorhead State, Minnesota.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 18:31Speaker 2: So just a little factor. We played their JV.
- 18:33Speaker 1: So our buddy Marcus, he said he liked Atlanta Falcons under.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Am I right? So Atlanta Falcons under. Season wins, as
- 18:41Speaker 1: far as season wins go, you can go under Falcons 7.5
- 18:44Speaker 1: minus $ 1. 50. So do you see the Falcons winning eight
- 18:47Speaker 1: games this year?
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I definitely don't see that happening. You know, they
- 18:51Speaker 2: got some talent on offense. But they also lost their
- 18:55Speaker 2: defensive end and another one of their better defensive ends.
- 19:00Speaker 2: You know, he's one of those players that got suspended
- 19:03Speaker 2: for criminal activity or whatever for the first eight, nine
- 19:06Speaker 2: games or whatever. So they lost their two cornerstones on defense.
- 19:10Speaker 2: So they're going to be playing high shootout style football.
- 19:14Speaker 2: And when you don't have a very good quarterback or
- 19:17Speaker 2: an unproven rookie, that's not a good sign.
- 19:19Speaker 1: All right. Let's go to one of the fan favorite divisions,
- 19:22Speaker 1: the NFC East. Eagles, Cowboys, Giants, Commanders, and I hope
- 19:26Speaker 1: that's the way it finishes that. I mean, I hope
- 19:28Speaker 1: the Cowboys actually win the division. I'm against the Eagles.
- 19:31Speaker 1: I'm against Commanders big time, and even against the Giants.
- 19:34Speaker 1: What do you think about this division?
- 19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, slight lean towards the Cowboys finishing first.
- 19:39Speaker 1: You can take two to one on that.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Yeah, Eagles second, and then I have to go Giants
- 19:44Speaker 2: now with this Washington news with them losing their left
- 19:47Speaker 2: tackle and that defense. looks like a wreck in Washington
- 19:52Speaker 2: along with the offensive line. Giants still too young. Tough schedule.
- 19:58Speaker 2: They're going to be an up-and-coming team. I don't see
- 20:00Speaker 2: it quite this year with new coach Harbaugh, one of
- 20:05Speaker 2: my more favorite head coaches to back in previous years.
- 20:08Speaker 2: But I think it's going to take a year to adjust,
- 20:11Speaker 2: and they've got some young players there to adjust to.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Okay. NFC West, big favorite here, the Rams. Got to
- 20:19Speaker 1: lay money on the Rams, $ 1. 10. Seattle, 49ers, and Cardinals.
- 20:23Speaker 2: I have the Rams 9-1 to win it all. 9-1
- 20:26Speaker 2: is great. Made that bet when they did the first
- 20:29Speaker 2: trade there and got Miles Garrett. Figured I better get
- 20:33Speaker 2: on that right away. And now they got Aaron Donald back.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Donald coming back.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Looks even better. Gave him $ 20 million for a year.
- 20:38Speaker 2: You know, we're going to be probably betting against the
- 20:41Speaker 2: Rams some because their line is going to be so
- 20:43Speaker 2: overinflated in some of these matchups. But they look like
- 20:47Speaker 2: the team to win it. So I got them first,
- 20:49Speaker 2: Seattle second. San Francisco not real high on. Yeah. You know,
- 20:54Speaker 2: because they're injuries and they're older. They got an older
- 20:57Speaker 2: team and they always have a boatload of injuries they
- 21:00Speaker 2: already do to start the season along with their coach
- 21:03Speaker 2: and whatever their owner is doing on the side. You
- 21:07Speaker 2: got that going on as well. I'm not as down
- 21:11Speaker 2: on Arizona as everybody else is. I think with their
- 21:14Speaker 2: offense and their talent, they're going to give some headaches
- 21:17Speaker 2: to these teams and cover a lot of spreads here.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Arizona, the number one dog out of all these. I'm
- 21:23Speaker 1: looking at MGM's placement odds. So you have to lay
- 21:26Speaker 1: 20-1 to say they come in fourth. You have to
- 21:28Speaker 1: lay 20-1. That's how bad. Maybe coming in third in
- 21:33Speaker 1: that division, you take 8-1. And God forbid they come
- 21:35Speaker 1: in second taking 35-1. So there's maybe some interesting bets
- 21:40Speaker 1: there that they don't come in fourth.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe some value there to take them to go third.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Third, getting back 8-1.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Wow. How about as far as any season wins? Do
- 21:52Speaker 1: you have anything as regular season wins right now that
- 21:54Speaker 1: you can give to people that you actually like still
- 21:55Speaker 1: or that you kind of bet them earlier like me?
- 21:58Speaker 1: I've been betting season wins since May, so.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Yeah, nothing I can recommend. Just the little stuff we
- 22:03Speaker 2: talked about, maybe Atlanta under.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Atlanta under.
- 22:05Speaker 2: We kind of talked in that. Washington has moved quite
- 22:08Speaker 2: a bit.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Yeah, under Washington, I actually went under eight, minus like $ 1. 50. Atlanta,
- 22:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I went under seven and a half plus money.
- 22:17Speaker 1: But now you have to lay $ 1. I see $ 1. 20
- 22:19Speaker 1: on Washington. They're supposed to be that bad. So now
- 22:24Speaker 1: would you be interested, now that you said that Atlanta,
- 22:27Speaker 1: you know, MGM and a lot of sportsbooks put these
- 22:28Speaker 1: up here. So Atlanta, to make the playoffs, no, you
- 22:33Speaker 1: have to lay 3-1. Would you be interested? Would you
- 22:36Speaker 1: lay that 3-1 on a no with Atlanta to make
- 22:39Speaker 1: the playoffs?
- 22:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's, you know, I'd have to calculate
- 22:43Speaker 2: if that's a decent enough number to lay. But, yeah,
- 22:46Speaker 2: I'm not high on that team at all. And I
- 22:48Speaker 2: think it's going to be a long season for them.
- 22:50Speaker 2: But they are in that, you know, easy division where
- 22:52Speaker 2: anything can happen.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Right, right, right.
- 22:54Speaker 2: You know, it's not like they're juggernauts there. them other
- 22:56Speaker 2: teams they play. A lot of people are down on
- 22:58Speaker 2: Carolina as well.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Okay. Anything else you want to talk about? How about
- 23:02Speaker 1: the slots?
- 23:02Speaker 2: Vegas, Matt?
- 23:03Speaker 1: Getting thrown out of Venetian real nice at them.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:06Speaker 1: How crazy is that?
- 23:07Speaker 2: I don't understand any of that, you know.
- 23:09Speaker 1: These companies don't realize how much Vegas, Matt, is loved.
- 23:12Speaker 1: How it's following. Millions of views.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I mean, you're spending, what, $ 5, 000 a hand? I mean...
- 23:18Speaker 2: You got the edge. I mean, if I was the owner,
- 23:22Speaker 2: I'm sure Derek, if we asked Derek right now, he'd
- 23:25Speaker 2: roll off the carpet.
- 23:27Speaker 1: People want to know where Vegas, Matt, plays.
- 23:29Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 23:31Speaker 1: And a lot of the other things.
- 23:33Speaker 2: One other betting note, I do have a FCS future.
- 23:37Speaker 2: If you guys, or actually it's Mountain West future. You know,
- 23:41Speaker 2: North Dakota State just joined the Mountain West. I was
- 23:43Speaker 2: waiting one game to see if their quarterback is any good,
- 23:46Speaker 2: which he is. And the whole team, you know, they're
- 23:49Speaker 2: going to dominate on the offensive, defensive line. To win
- 23:53Speaker 2: the Mountain West, I believe they're right around $ 283. And
- 23:57Speaker 2: I took that with some free bets when I got
- 23:59Speaker 2: to town and some other plays I had. So North
- 24:03Speaker 2: Dakota State, my home.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Who would offer something like that? Would they offer that?
- 24:07Speaker 1: Some of those sports, maybe like the Caesars or maybe
- 24:09Speaker 1: even MGM or the Windham Mountain West. It's all out there. Hey, guys,
- 24:13Speaker 1: let's talk about this week's WagerWire segment. A $ 10 parlay
- 24:16Speaker 1: to win $ 1, 688, 168 to 1. The first leg of
- 24:22Speaker 1: this three-leg parlay already cashed. Kylian Mbappe-France to win the
- 24:26Speaker 1: golden boot. He won that portion. He was only a
- 24:29Speaker 1: plus 150. So this right now, we've got Denver to
- 24:33Speaker 1: win the Super Bowl and the National League 2026 winner,
- 24:37Speaker 1: the Dodgers, which they are favored to do that. Denver
- 24:40Speaker 1: is definitely not favored to win the Super Bowl, but
- 24:42Speaker 1: Randy actually likes them. Randy McKay likes them this season.
- 24:46Speaker 1: I wouldn't cash this in. It's only worth $ 42 now.
- 24:49Speaker 1: You have to wait until the Dodgers get to the
- 24:52Speaker 1: NL pennant, and then you may look at cashing this
- 24:54Speaker 1: in depending on what Denver's doing throughout the season. So, again,
- 24:59Speaker 1: over at wagerwire.com and the WagerWire app, this is a three-teamer,
- 25:06Speaker 1: won the first portion, Denver to win the Super Bowl,
- 25:09Speaker 1: Dodgers to win the National League, over on wagerwire.com and
- 25:12Speaker 1: the WagerWire app. Check it out. They're going to pay
- 25:15Speaker 1: you a lot more than cashing out with the sportsbook.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I like one thing here. The guy used his profit
- 25:21Speaker 1: boost to get this type of payout. You guys know
- 25:23Speaker 1: what I feel about that. When you get a profit
- 25:26Speaker 1: boost or a bonus from a sportsbook, you should put
- 25:29Speaker 1: it on a big dog. I'm not saying put it
- 25:30Speaker 1: on a parlay, but at least he did put it
- 25:33Speaker 1: on this parlay to enhance the payout. WagerWire.com, the WagerWire app. Hey, guys,
- 25:38Speaker 1: welcome back to Wisecracks. Bill Krackenberger over here. An unbelievable circa.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I say unbelievable because you can see the buzz in
- 25:45Speaker 1: the air, even though we're still a week and a
- 25:48Speaker 1: half away from games. Actually, I'm wrong. We're a week
- 25:50Speaker 1: away from games. Next Wednesday, very unusual. Wednesday game, rematch
- 25:55Speaker 1: of the Super Bowl, and then Thursday is another game.
- 25:59Speaker 1: So we have some games that are before the games,
- 26:02Speaker 1: the big games on the weekend. But I want to
- 26:05Speaker 1: tell you, though, it's funny that I say it like that.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I guarantee you everyone's going to have a bet on
- 26:11Speaker 1: these games, even though there may not be a bet.
- 26:14Speaker 1: I mean, I'm going to have a lot of player props.
- 26:16Speaker 1: I just want to confirm that. What I'm saying is
- 26:19Speaker 1: correct about the days of the games. I mean, I
- 26:21Speaker 1: know the opening game, but, yeah, the Rams-San Fran, I'm sorry, yeah,
- 26:25Speaker 1: the Rams-San Fran is going to be Thursday night. Wednesday
- 26:27Speaker 1: night is Seattle-New England rematch of the Super Bowl. A
- 26:30Speaker 1: lot of action on New England in that game, by
- 26:32Speaker 1: the way. I've seen that they took some early action,
- 26:36Speaker 1: and they're still taking action because they opened up five,
- 26:40Speaker 1: and now they're down to three and a half. As
- 26:42Speaker 1: a matter of fact, minus three and a half even.
- 26:44Speaker 1: So they took a lot of action. The other game,
- 26:46Speaker 1: funny game. Opened up two and a half, the Rams
- 26:49Speaker 1: over San Fran. You would think that the Rams would
- 26:50Speaker 1: be more of a powerhouse there. Went to three. Three
- 26:54Speaker 1: and a half now, very strong. Three and a half
- 26:56Speaker 1: is even a four on the screen. So that's some
- 26:59Speaker 1: interesting games here. Randy, can I get my coffee? All right,
- 27:03Speaker 1: I got Randy McKay's coming on. I got him doing
- 27:07Speaker 1: some coffee run for me and J.H.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Freshly brewed monkey poop.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Okay, good. Thank you, sir. Appreciate it. Good. We'll bring
- 27:16Speaker 1: you on in a couple minutes. Enjoy whatever you got
- 27:19Speaker 1: over there. All right, guys. So I want to mention
- 27:22Speaker 1: some things. You know, one thing that I've seen is
- 27:26Speaker 1: that real big in the prediction markets are so much
- 27:31Speaker 1: news and media and buzz about these prediction markets. It's
- 27:35Speaker 1: because like New York State is now suing. That's the
- 27:38Speaker 1: first article I found. The New York State's suing the
- 27:41Speaker 1: prediction markets, alleging illegal gambling operation. Well, listen, it is gambling.
- 27:49Speaker 1: We know that. It's gambling. And I believe in most jurisdictions,
- 27:54Speaker 1: you don't have to be 21. You could be 18.
- 27:56Speaker 1: So they're suing, saying it's gambling. Now, even though they're
- 28:01Speaker 1: not suing on the behalf of the big sports books
- 28:05Speaker 1: that came over, like DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars, MGM, all the
- 28:09Speaker 1: big books that have taken over the country, This is
- 28:12Speaker 1: such a fast-growing market that they want to make sure
- 28:16Speaker 1: they get their piece. And, you know, thinking about that,
- 28:22Speaker 1: I know a lot of people, and they're just, the
- 28:26Speaker 1: prediction markets are too confusing for a lot of people.
- 28:30Speaker 1: And what I mean by that is you're buying and
- 28:33Speaker 1: selling contracts. There's a buy, there's a bid, and ask
- 28:36Speaker 1: and sell. It's pretty easy. The conversion's not as hard
- 28:40Speaker 1: as you would think. But it's a little bit intimidating
- 28:43Speaker 1: for a lot of people. I don't even have it here. Well,
- 28:45Speaker 1: here in Nevada, you know, even though they say that
- 28:49Speaker 1: they're legal nationwide, there is states that have fought them,
- 28:52Speaker 1: and they're geofenced here in Nevada. The other day I
- 28:56Speaker 1: noticed I tried to get on a website. I tried
- 28:57Speaker 1: to get on DraftKings the other day. I couldn't even
- 29:00Speaker 1: just to see their odds. Someone told me they had
- 29:01Speaker 1: a good line on something. I couldn't even get on it.
- 29:03Speaker 1: You can get on their fantasy site but can't get
- 29:06Speaker 1: on their odds site. So I find that pretty interesting.
- 29:10Speaker 1: And also... I read a story by Devin O'Connor on casino.org
- 29:15Speaker 1: about the National Council on Problem Gambling seeks new initiative
- 29:21Speaker 1: for the prediction markets. And I get it. I get
- 29:25Speaker 1: it because the National Council on Problem Gambling, they're actually
- 29:29Speaker 1: recruiting two managers just to lead its new creative financial
- 29:34Speaker 1: trader health and safety initiative. So good for them. Good
- 29:38Speaker 1: for them. You know, you guys know. my big thing
- 29:41Speaker 1: is even though we film in a sports book, even
- 29:43Speaker 1: though I talk about sports books and lines and games
- 29:46Speaker 1: and I don't really talk. This show is really about
- 29:50Speaker 1: Vegas lifestyle, gambling, casino stuff. We talk about the latest
- 29:53Speaker 1: casino news, gambling news. You know, this show, I really
- 29:58Speaker 1: don't give out lines and games and stuff like that.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Very rare.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Talk about, of course, over here at Circa, the big
- 30:03Speaker 1: contest and stuff. So we are talking about gambling and
- 30:07Speaker 1: we are talking about what's going on in Nevada and
- 30:10Speaker 1: Las Vegas. But as far as national gambling problem, I
- 30:14Speaker 1: always say every college in America has got a gambling problem.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I like to see that it's backed by a $ 2
- 30:19Speaker 1: million contribution from the prediction market industry. So good for them, too,
- 30:24Speaker 1: backing it. And the initiative aims to establish responsible trading
- 30:28Speaker 1: standards and that behavioral health risk across the prediction markets.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Good for them. I'm actually happy to hear that and
- 30:36Speaker 1: happy to hear that. You know, we read something, too,
- 30:41Speaker 1: during the week. So the average person... on the prediction
- 30:47Speaker 1: markets is losing so much money, they said, on the
- 30:51Speaker 1: peer-to-peer exchanges compared to people that go to sportsbooks and
- 30:55Speaker 1: go to casinos. I found that pretty interesting because the
- 30:58Speaker 1: apps are available too, so I don't know why they
- 31:01Speaker 1: would lose so much more unless they have a bigger player.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Maybe it would be. In April, Bloomberg reported that there
- 31:08Speaker 1: were almost twice the number of accounts on Polymarket that
- 31:11Speaker 1: lost at least $ 1, 000 compared to the accounts that made
- 31:14Speaker 1: as much. So the business news outlet found that around
- 31:17Speaker 1: 70% of traders lose while the top 1% of winning
- 31:20Speaker 1: accounts account for three-quarters of the profit. The market makers
- 31:25Speaker 1: that put up these lines, they're probably pretty sharp, especially
- 31:29Speaker 1: now we're getting into football season. You have some of
- 31:31Speaker 1: the sharpest people in the world that are on these,
- 31:35Speaker 1: seeding these markets, putting up the markets. And then you
- 31:39Speaker 1: have the algorithm guys, the analytical guys, the Wall Street
- 31:42Speaker 1: guys maybe even. A lot of Wall Street guys are
- 31:44Speaker 1: just gamblers, though. So I find it very interesting that
- 31:49Speaker 1: these numbers... And I just thought I would mention it because,
- 31:52Speaker 1: you know, that's the big talk now. The big talk's
- 31:54Speaker 1: about these prediction markets and the states that are being
- 31:57Speaker 1: shut down. The states that are trying to shut them down,
- 31:59Speaker 1: like Nevada, and not have them allowed in their states. Basically,
- 32:04Speaker 1: it could be tribal councils, maybe in California, because of
- 32:08Speaker 1: the Indian gaming. It could be because of, like, Nevada
- 32:10Speaker 1: Gaming Board, very strong. These casinos, very strong. Obviously, we
- 32:15Speaker 1: have DraftKings office over on Durango that... Literally, the risk
- 32:20Speaker 1: management team's in there deciding bets yes and no for
- 32:23Speaker 1: across the country, but yet you can't bet in Nevada,
- 32:26Speaker 1: but yet the office is here. So I find that
- 32:29Speaker 1: kind of interesting. So, you know, I want to talk
- 32:33Speaker 1: about a little bit of these mob ties. It's amazing.
- 32:37Speaker 1: The story I read also on casino.org, Corey Levitan wrote
- 32:41Speaker 1: a story about The casino pioneer whose mob ties got
- 32:45Speaker 1: his mother-in-law killed. I was like, wow, this is really interesting,
- 32:49Speaker 1: this article. So the Burbank Police Department still calls it
- 32:52Speaker 1: one of the most infamous crimes of the city. It
- 32:55Speaker 1: inspired two books, the brutal 1953 slaying of 64-year-old widow
- 33:00Speaker 1: Mabel Monaghan, because one of the casino pioneers, Luther B.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Tudor Scherer, that's his name, had the kind of underworld
- 33:09Speaker 1: friends who mistook his friendly visit to his ex-mother-in-law's house
- 33:12Speaker 1: for stashing the proceeds of the Las Vegas skim there.
- 33:16Speaker 1: And it's actually unbelievable reading how this happened. March 1953,
- 33:22Speaker 1: a home invasion crew stormed Monaghan's house looking for a
- 33:25Speaker 1: mythical safe full of Vegas skim. Monaghan was badly beaten
- 33:29Speaker 1: and strangled to death. The crime scene was so gruesome,
- 33:31Speaker 1: even Harding cops needed a minute. And she was an
- 33:34Speaker 1: innocent victim. This guy just stopped there. It was his
- 33:38Speaker 1: ex-mother-in-law who was very, very close to her. And yeah,
- 33:43Speaker 1: five foot three, 120 pound pretty woman. It's unbelievable how
- 33:49Speaker 1: this happened. And it only happened because of his ties
- 33:53Speaker 1: to some of the Las Vegas casinos in the skim.
- 33:56Speaker 1: I read that story and I was like, wow, that's unbelievable.
- 33:58Speaker 1: You know, let me tell you. Vegas doesn't like talking
- 34:02Speaker 1: about what it was. They don't like talking about how
- 34:06Speaker 1: the casinos were controlled by the mafia back in the day.
- 34:09Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, this particular guy here, he
- 34:13Speaker 1: was part of, this guy I'm talking about in the story,
- 34:15Speaker 1: he was part of Mickey Cohen's racket. And listen, they
- 34:20Speaker 1: owned the El Rancho Vegas. Ready for this? They owned
- 34:24Speaker 1: the Las Vegas Club. That's where we stand today. That's
- 34:29Speaker 1: where we sit today. This was the Las Vegas Club,
- 34:32Speaker 1: where Circa is now. This was the Las Vegas Club.
- 34:35Speaker 1: So they own the Pioneer, you know, at Vegas Vic,
- 34:38Speaker 1: the big neon statue outside. But they did own this
- 34:42Speaker 1: building here, too. So it's just kind of interesting how
- 34:44Speaker 1: it has those ties to this story, just coincidentally. Let's
- 34:48Speaker 1: go on to the next thing, guys. I have a
- 34:50Speaker 1: story here. Boy, I might as well get to this.
- 34:52Speaker 1: This is, boy, how dumb can some people be? So
- 34:57Speaker 1: this genius, California man, He loses a $ 750, 000 lawsuit over
- 35:04Speaker 1: a taped-together lottery ticket. So this guy claimed that his
- 35:11Speaker 1: poker-themed California lottery scratcher showed a flush and a 10-time
- 35:16Speaker 1: multiplier worth $ 750, 000. He taped together tickets to try to
- 35:24Speaker 1: say that he won this money. And, of course, he
- 35:27Speaker 1: lost the lawsuit.
- 35:28Speaker 2: You know.
- 35:30Speaker 1: He literally, he did it so well that even the
- 35:35Speaker 1: state lottery had to bring in experts to realize that
- 35:39Speaker 1: this was two different tickets put together. So he thought
- 35:43Speaker 1: he was entitled to the $ 750, 000. A judge disagreed, ultimately
- 35:48Speaker 1: granting the state's motion to dismiss the lawsuit and entering
- 35:51Speaker 1: judgment in favor of the lottery. Not only that. This
- 35:54Speaker 1: genius was ordered to pay $ 153, 000 in attorney fees for
- 35:59Speaker 1: the state of California. And I just... He was not
- 36:04Speaker 1: directly accused of altering the ticket himself. Attempting to fraudulently
- 36:07Speaker 1: claim a lottery prize using a tamper ticket can be
- 36:10Speaker 1: prosecuted in California as a felony grand theft or forgery.
- 36:16Speaker 1: It's really unbelievable that this guy actually almost got away
- 36:19Speaker 1: with this. They say here in the article... The apparent
- 36:23Speaker 1: winning ticket, they were handing him the $ 75, 000 prize before
- 36:30Speaker 1: they looked at the 10-time multiplier, which resulted in a $ 750, 000 prize.
- 36:36Speaker 1: They were actually paying him the $ 75, 000 and looked into
- 36:38Speaker 1: it a lot more. Maybe they know what prizes they
- 36:42Speaker 1: have out there in the marketplace. They know the winners
- 36:45Speaker 1: they have. Maybe they didn't have a flush winner for $ 75, 000
- 36:48Speaker 1: times 10. in the marketplace, so they had to realize,
- 36:55Speaker 1: wait a minute, we don't have this winner here. This
- 36:58Speaker 1: can't be real. So that reminds me, my buddy from Pennsylvania,
- 37:03Speaker 1: he sent me something on a new Pennsylvania lottery that's out.
- 37:09Speaker 1: And when I seen it, I was like, wait a minute.
- 37:11Speaker 1: He said, oh, this is football. This might be something
- 37:14Speaker 1: to do. You could pick your own teams. He just
- 37:16Speaker 1: didn't know. He said, you could pick your own teams.
- 37:19Speaker 1: And when he said that, I started looking into it. And,
- 37:21Speaker 1: you know, the way the lottery words it, even myself,
- 37:24Speaker 1: and I'm, you know, entrenched with this kind of stuff.
- 37:28Speaker 1: So for me to be confused, there's the Pennsylvania Lottery site.
- 37:32Speaker 1: X's and O's start September 1st. And coming soon, there's
- 37:36Speaker 1: all the NFL help. Obviously, they're in bed with the NFL.
- 37:39Speaker 1: And you can pick the NFL. So select eight teams,
- 37:44Speaker 1: eight of the 32 team logos, and see how you do.
- 37:49Speaker 1: The first drawing is Sunday, September 13th. automatically they're putting
- 37:53Speaker 1: it out there and deceiving people to make it look
- 37:56Speaker 1: like it has something to do with picking football games
- 37:59Speaker 1: on the start of football season. I think this is
- 38:01Speaker 1: terrible what they did. They're already busting it, breaking everybody
- 38:05Speaker 1: with these lotteries all around the country. So now you
- 38:07Speaker 1: want to say, oh, I pick eight teams, and if
- 38:09Speaker 1: I get all eight right, I get a million-dollar prize.
- 38:12Speaker 1: It's not the way it works. I looked a lot
- 38:15Speaker 1: deeper into this. This is a keynote is basically what
- 38:18Speaker 1: this is. So it's 32 teams. At nighttime, they're having
- 38:22Speaker 1: a lottery drawing where they're picking eight of the 32
- 38:25Speaker 1: out of a barrel with the team logos on it.
- 38:28Speaker 1: It has nothing to do with the results of the
- 38:32Speaker 1: games that day, even though they're having it on Sunday
- 38:34Speaker 1: NFL football games. to confuse people and, again, has zero
- 38:39Speaker 1: to do with this at all, nothing to do with
- 38:42Speaker 1: the football. But they sure are making it look like that.
- 38:46Speaker 1: And I've read all this stuff, and you still can't.
- 38:49Speaker 1: I had to look deeper and deeper into this to
- 38:51Speaker 1: find out that this was nothing to do with NFL,
- 38:56Speaker 1: the NFL League. So that's just since we were talking
- 38:58Speaker 1: about the lottery there. I think we have some time
- 39:02Speaker 1: to bury Atlantic City, don't we? Atlantic City, a buddy
- 39:06Speaker 1: of mine, that reminds me, a buddy of mine sent me,
- 39:09Speaker 1: there was a, I talked about this a few times.
- 39:11Speaker 1: I think I talked about it on the show, though.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Why talk about it again? He sent me a photo
- 39:14Speaker 1: of the old Popeye's chicken about how they're not, they
- 39:17Speaker 1: had to close it down. People were shaking people down
- 39:19Speaker 1: to get in the door of Atlantic City. Atlantic City
- 39:22Speaker 1: is still a sewer, absolute sewer. My friend sent me
- 39:25Speaker 1: some more stuff here about how, literally, Atlantic Atlantic County
- 39:28Speaker 1: Economic Alliance says conventions are key to its future and
- 39:31Speaker 1: Because more than 8,000 Atlantic County casino jobs are being
- 39:35Speaker 1: threatened by forthcoming and possible new competition. Now that's the
- 39:40Speaker 1: different casinos that are around the state that are coming.
- 39:43Speaker 1: And I say around the state. New York City is
- 39:47Speaker 1: opening three new casinos. And of course, there's tons of
- 39:50Speaker 1: casinos out in Pennsylvania and Philadelphia now. And all throughout Pennsylvania.
- 39:55Speaker 1: North Jersey threatened that the Meadowlands was going to get
- 39:57Speaker 1: a casino. So Atlantic City trying to gear up and
- 40:00Speaker 1: Maybe talk about some conventions coming down to Atlantic City.
- 40:05Speaker 1: We'll see. Anyway, that's another story. Oh, Vegas Matt. We've
- 40:10Speaker 1: got to talk about this. So I'm friends with Vegas
- 40:13Speaker 1: Matt on socials, and I'm always talking to him. His
- 40:19Speaker 1: guys I talk to on Twitter. You know, Vegas Matt
- 40:22Speaker 1: had a situation recently where at the Venetian, they threw
- 40:27Speaker 1: him out of the Venetian.
- 40:28Speaker 2: And.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Yeah, the situation there is he was playing advantage machines,
- 40:33Speaker 1: they said, but he actually showed them and put some
- 40:36Speaker 1: tweets up on Twitter how he left the machine in
- 40:38Speaker 1: an advantage situation. Real simple, I talked about it on
- 40:41Speaker 1: the show last week, and maybe even it was the
- 40:45Speaker 1: week before I talked about it, and how Vegas Matt
- 40:48Speaker 1: looks for machines that... You want to call them advantage? Yes.
- 40:52Speaker 1: If they have a bigger meter than the machines next
- 40:54Speaker 1: to it, yeah, they're going to play the higher meter,
- 40:57Speaker 1: just like you and I would play a higher meter
- 41:00Speaker 1: at a slot machine that has $ 10, 900. The next one
- 41:02Speaker 1: has $ 15, 000. Of course, you're going to play the one
- 41:05Speaker 1: that's a $ 15, 000 jackpot. The jackpots hit at a certain amount, and,
- 41:14Speaker 1: of course, you're going to play at that one. So
- 41:16Speaker 1: the point of what I'm saying here is Vegas Matt
- 41:18Speaker 1: threatens to sue the anti-gambling advocate, and literally he's going
- 41:22Speaker 1: after some of the people. There's a guy that said
- 41:26Speaker 1: he had unethical practices, and Vegas Matt is now demanding
- 41:31Speaker 1: an apology and content removal. And, of course, this other guy,
- 41:35Speaker 1: his name is Minnick. He publicly rejected the claims, and
- 41:38Speaker 1: he did publish his stuff online, defamation. So this is
- 41:41Speaker 1: an interesting lawsuit that is going on. Like I said,
- 41:48Speaker 1: I think it's ridiculous. I play a lot of these
- 41:50Speaker 1: machines when they're at a certain level. If I'm in
- 41:53Speaker 1: the casino, I'll absolutely play them. Do I check them?
- 41:56Speaker 1: I come up with this term, sour root. A lot
- 41:59Speaker 1: of people use it now. So do I sour root,
- 42:01Speaker 1: which means stand behind a machine and hope the person
- 42:05Speaker 1: starts to lose their money so I can get on
- 42:07Speaker 1: the machine because of the advantage, that mode that it's in.
- 42:11Speaker 1: I don't do that. But if I walk around a
- 42:13Speaker 1: casino and see something at a high level, and I
- 42:15Speaker 1: know that it's due to hit maybe because of the
- 42:18Speaker 1: higher level, and if I think it's an advantage to myself, yeah,
- 42:23Speaker 1: I'll absolutely play it. But I'm not going to stand
- 42:24Speaker 1: behind people and blow smoke. These teams have these little maneuvers.
- 42:28Speaker 1: They try to blow smoke in someone's face to get
- 42:30Speaker 1: them off the machine. So many different things, tactics that
- 42:34Speaker 1: they employ to try to maneuver, and they think they're
- 42:37Speaker 1: real cute sometimes.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Okay, hey, guys, I know someone that was thrown out
- 42:43Speaker 1: of a casino recently for playing craps. Now, wait a minute.
- 42:49Speaker 1: I said, hold on. What do you mean you're thrown
- 42:51Speaker 1: out of a casino for playing craps? He goes, listen,
- 42:54Speaker 1: I have won 11 straight times in a row, and
- 42:58Speaker 1: I'm a player. I play, and I know he plays.
- 43:01Speaker 1: I know he buys in for a 50,000 marker, sometimes 100.
- 43:04Speaker 1: So he's won about almost $ 2 million, $ 1.
- 43:06Speaker 2: 7 million.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Over 11 trips. Got lucky one trip, caught an hour roll.
- 43:13Speaker 1: He said someone shot for an hour. That's where he won,
- 43:16Speaker 1: not the bulk, but he won $ 600, 000 on that trip.
- 43:20Speaker 1: You know, for a $ 100, 000 buy-in, that's a lot. Six
- 43:22Speaker 1: extra buy-in is a big, big profit. And, you know,
- 43:26Speaker 1: I said, well, how did you play? And he told me,
- 43:30Speaker 1: even old school crap players might not know this term.
- 43:34Speaker 1: I'm going to say in a second. So he had
- 43:37Speaker 1: come bets. Let's say to the number 10. Come bet
- 43:39Speaker 1: to the number 10. He placed the number 10 for
- 43:42Speaker 1: their max bet of 10,000. Come bet for max with odds.
- 43:47Speaker 1: And then he put what's called a put bet. A PUT,
- 43:50Speaker 1: a put bet. A put bet is a separate bet
- 43:53Speaker 1: you can make on any number, on any time, like
- 43:57Speaker 1: you're making a come bet, but you don't have to
- 43:58Speaker 1: go through the come. So you could put, let's use
- 44:00Speaker 1: a $ 5 level. You could put a $ 5 chip, if
- 44:03Speaker 1: it's a $ 5 game, on the six and eight, and
- 44:06Speaker 1: you could put five time odds, $ 25 on top of
- 44:08Speaker 1: that without going through the come. The reason why the
- 44:11Speaker 1: casinos let you do that, that first initial $ 5 bet
- 44:14Speaker 1: is a big house, not big, but it's a house edge.
- 44:17Speaker 1: So that's why they let you do it. Sure, you
- 44:18Speaker 1: want to do it? Sure, you're losing out on that percentage.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Even though you're getting true odds on the odds, you
- 44:22Speaker 1: have to go through it. So anyway, this guy caught
- 44:24Speaker 1: an unbelievable roll, and he got thrown out. And I
- 44:27Speaker 1: thought about this. I knew a guy in Caesars in
- 44:30Speaker 1: 1999 that got thrown out of Atlantic City. A Joe
- 44:34Speaker 1: Public guy that lost millions. But just so happens that
- 44:38Speaker 1: he won 10 times in a row at Caesars. And
- 44:39Speaker 1: they said, we don't know what he's doing, but he's winning.
- 44:43Speaker 1: It's just amazing that casinos will throw you out for winning. Now,
- 44:48Speaker 1: I've known this happen a couple different times. The surveillance,
- 44:51Speaker 1: the guys up in the office, the management. Nobody knows
- 44:54Speaker 1: what you're doing, and you're not even doing nothing. You
- 44:57Speaker 1: made the mistake of winning. I'm sorry. It says casino
- 45:01Speaker 1: on the effing door. Give me a break. People are
- 45:03Speaker 1: allowed to win. And people are allowed to run lucky
- 45:05Speaker 1: 10 times. I can flip a quarter, you know, 10 times.
- 45:08Speaker 1: And sure enough, I should definitely get one on tails, maybe,
- 45:11Speaker 1: you know, a couple on tails. But if I flip
- 45:13Speaker 1: a quarter 100 times, there may be a streak where
- 45:16Speaker 1: I get 10 in a row heads or 10 in
- 45:17Speaker 1: a row tails. Just like gamblers come in the casinos.
- 45:21Speaker 1: hundreds of times, if not thousands over their lifetime, they
- 45:24Speaker 1: may get 10, 12 times, 15 winning streaks in a row,
- 45:28Speaker 1: getting lucky. So I thought that was kind of interesting.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Last thing I'm going to talk before I bring in
- 45:33Speaker 1: Randy is, you know, they have some unbelievable vacation packages
- 45:37Speaker 1: in town here. Circa has one also where you get
- 45:41Speaker 1: so many nights and you get your fees involved. You
- 45:44Speaker 1: get to go out to the pool. You get meals.
- 45:46Speaker 1: I think it's 400 bucks. You get 200 back on food.
- 45:48Speaker 1: I mean, that's unbelievable. So if you Google Las Vegas
- 45:53Speaker 1: all-inclusive Vegas packages... Las Vegas all-inclusive vacation packages. There's many
- 45:59Speaker 1: casinos that will have... There's a couple of them downtown.
- 46:03Speaker 1: I think the Nugget, the Plaza, of course here at
- 46:07Speaker 1: the Circa where you want to go. You want to
- 46:09Speaker 1: go here. The deal was great here. And then there's
- 46:11Speaker 1: maybe a couple on the Strip. The Strip doesn't really
- 46:13Speaker 1: catch on too quick. They depend on these conventions and stuff.
- 46:17Speaker 1: But guys, I talk about... This is the last thing.
- 46:21Speaker 1: I talk about... The sign-up bonuses or card bonus, I
- 46:26Speaker 1: talked about it at Treasure Island. I got over 2
- 46:28Speaker 1: million views on Twitter talking about the sign-up bonuses at
- 46:31Speaker 1: Treasure Island. They were supposed to have it for a month.
- 46:33Speaker 1: This was supposed to be the last week, actually. It
- 46:36Speaker 1: lasted one week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, they gave everyone $ 200. Everyone,
- 46:39Speaker 1: whether you have a card or not, whether you're new
- 46:41Speaker 1: or not, they loaded every card with $ 200 in free
- 46:44Speaker 1: play when you walk in. And that stopped almost instantly
- 46:48Speaker 1: over there. Well, there's another one, Downtown Henderson. There's the
- 46:52Speaker 1: Club Fortune, $ 100 free roll there. It's a rebate loss,
- 46:57Speaker 1: so if you lose the $ 100, you get the $ 100
- 46:59Speaker 1: back in free play. And the good thing about this
- 47:01Speaker 1: is you get it instantly. You don't have to go
- 47:02Speaker 1: back twice. So it's a $ 100 free roll, and I
- 47:07Speaker 1: recommend playing a higher-level machine. Play a $ 1 machine or
- 47:10Speaker 1: even a $ 5, $ 10 at a pop. Try to win
- 47:12Speaker 1: something quick and quit. But if not, you get the
- 47:15Speaker 1: $ 100 back in free play. Play this for one time.
- 47:17Speaker 1: It's definitely a positive EV. If you're anywhere around Henderson,
- 47:20Speaker 1: I would recommend going to Club Fortune. $ 100 free roll. And, again,
- 47:25Speaker 1: you get it in the same day. Why not swing
- 47:26Speaker 1: for the fences?
