- 0:26Speaker 2: Can you win me down?
- 0:27Speaker 5: Get you frank me down?
- 0:29Speaker 1: That come to fun, comes to conte, comes to Mark.
- 0:33Speaker 6: Is it just.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it.
- 0:39Speaker 7: I'm gonna go.
- 0:40Speaker 1: All the way you welcome, Welcome, welcome.
- 0:46Speaker 8: You're listening to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 0:49Speaker 8: Shock Wayne Gandy.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 0:51Speaker 8: Tell you out there listening land. The Arctic chill is
- 0:56Speaker 8: back across the country. It's a little chili outside here
- 1:02Speaker 8: in Atlanta, Georgia. Uh So make sure you boondle up.
- 1:08Speaker 8: Don't use it as an excuse, because you know, this
- 1:11Speaker 8: is the United States of America, and we will take
- 1:14Speaker 8: every opportunity to cheat and scheme and cut short and
- 1:20Speaker 8: be late to everything. All we need is little win.
- 1:23Speaker 8: It was cold outside. What they got to do with
- 1:26Speaker 8: you being on time? I have no clue, but that's
- 1:29Speaker 8: the American Wait. But it is coal and it's supposed
- 1:33Speaker 8: to be cold here, at least in the Atlanta area
- 1:35Speaker 8: and across the country for the next five to seven days.
- 1:43Speaker 8: So that little spring weather and Big Kenny pulling out
- 1:47Speaker 8: his shorts for.
- 1:49Speaker 1: That day, it's all over. He was pulled him out.
- 1:52Speaker 8: And for some of you to think Big Kenny is
- 1:57Speaker 8: cool and hip because you saw his shorts, those are
- 2:02Speaker 8: the same shorts. They just don't came back around. So
- 2:05Speaker 8: now that y'all are back to showing the bottom two
- 2:09Speaker 8: quad muscles, you know, because that went away. They keep
- 2:14Speaker 8: going back and forth, so Big Kenny stays with the
- 2:17Speaker 8: standard to the bottom two quad muscles anyway. So those
- 2:22Speaker 8: were his regular shorts, but he had them on probably
- 2:25Speaker 8: one day as those spring had returned, only to find
- 2:30Speaker 8: out that he's gonna need to pack him up, especially
- 2:34Speaker 8: in the eighth if you don't know anything about this city,
- 2:37Speaker 8: consistent warm weather will not be around until about April
- 2:41Speaker 8: a second.
- 2:43Speaker 1: He's just gonna go.
- 2:44Speaker 8: Back and forth, back and forth, So you can count
- 2:50Speaker 8: on that. Maybe April the second, if it's sixty, it'll
- 2:54Speaker 8: stay sixty. But until then sixty is just has something
- 2:58Speaker 8: to do with the planet two. Planet rotating on his.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Axis about April third and starts a sixty and it
- 3:07Speaker 5: never gets told again.
- 3:09Speaker 1: But Vin Kenny's in the building.
- 3:10Speaker 8: The bad producer is in the building as well. He
- 3:15Speaker 8: has a sprite, some cookies over here. And I'm mentioning
- 3:21Speaker 8: this because a couple of weeks ago he was trying
- 3:23Speaker 8: to say it was the Sports Shock Show and the
- 3:27Speaker 8: chicken biscuits that I was bringing that was keeping him. Remember,
- 3:31Speaker 8: he was rubbing his knee. He had just done a
- 3:32Speaker 8: basketball game. He thought I forgot.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Remember, he was like, for a drop a couple of pounds, man, chicken.
- 3:40Speaker 1: He had refereen a high school game.
- 3:43Speaker 8: And he came in the next day talking about his
- 3:45Speaker 8: knee hurting, and it was all about how I supplied
- 3:49Speaker 8: the chicken biscuit. And I'm like, well, yeah, I hit
- 3:52Speaker 8: you with the biscuit, but then I hit you with
- 3:54Speaker 8: the the parfait, and back and forth or the oatmeal.
- 3:58Speaker 1: We will be rubbing a right. But obviously you.
- 4:01Speaker 8: See the duncan doughnut sprite, which means that he also
- 4:08Speaker 8: had a doughnut. Because I know through the human mind
- 4:13Speaker 8: that a man doesn't just pull over the dunkin donut
- 4:17Speaker 8: or a front a.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Sprite you might come. He might pull coffee.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Coffee, yes, coffee he may go and just get a
- 4:26Speaker 5: cough coffee or coco something hot.
- 4:29Speaker 8: Yes, but you do not. If you want a sprite,
- 4:31Speaker 8: you go to McDonald's. You pull through a McDonald's or
- 4:36Speaker 8: a Chick fil A and just order a soft drink.
- 4:39Speaker 8: So somewhere in his car there's crumbs of Claire. What
- 4:46Speaker 8: is it that you know?
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'm saying?
- 4:52Speaker 5: You know, you messed up. You almost had him, You
- 4:56Speaker 5: almost had him. You let him know he was being
- 4:59Speaker 5: set up though he Spring training is back major League Baseball.
- 5:04Speaker 8: So just when you thought you were going to be
- 5:07Speaker 8: able to nap, it is time for the boys of
- 5:11Speaker 8: spring to get in shape and bring back another season
- 5:14Speaker 8: of Major League Baseball. I'm quite sure the Dodgers just
- 5:18Speaker 8: bought some player. You know, they seem to have unlimited money.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Can't say it like that. I can't say it like that.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Oh you can't because allegedly.
- 5:27Speaker 5: No, no, no, they already did the deal, signed the deal, because.
- 5:33Speaker 9: They already say professional sports is slave mentality.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Don't say bye nothing, because the woke people will be
- 5:40Speaker 1: up to.
- 5:41Speaker 8: I don't I don't really care about played professional sports,
- 5:44Speaker 8: and I'm just trying to you know, I got you
- 5:47Speaker 8: back those those people that anytime. A lot of times,
- 5:50Speaker 8: just like any of us now with twenty twenty five
- 5:53Speaker 8: and technology, we all want to seem deeper, right and
- 6:00Speaker 8: got more angles. Most of us are really just two
- 6:04Speaker 8: slices of bread and peanut, butter and cold milk. Ain't
- 6:10Speaker 8: no milk, just no grilled cheese. That's too complicated. Grilled
- 6:15Speaker 8: cheese takes a pain. Yeah, take the pain. It takes time, y'all.
- 6:18Speaker 8: Y'all don't win a cold glass of milk meant you
- 6:21Speaker 8: had to have a refrigerator. Get cold.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Glass glass all that. I'm thinking, car, but come from somewhere.
- 6:32Speaker 8: Two slices of bread, right, beanup, butter, whatever, whatever came
- 6:37Speaker 8: in the box when you went to go pick it up.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Whatever comes in the box.
- 6:41Speaker 10: Right.
- 6:41Speaker 1: But people swear they are.
- 6:42Speaker 8: So you know this, some that, and they come up
- 6:45Speaker 8: with some word and so you really just a vegetarian
- 6:49Speaker 8: that don't eat the skin on the apple. But so,
- 6:52Speaker 8: but that makes you something different.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Don't know.
- 6:59Speaker 5: That, because when you say the Dodgers bought a player,
- 7:02Speaker 5: it's not like they you know, for a bushel of
- 7:05Speaker 5: apples anything.
- 7:07Speaker 1: About three four hundred million dollars. I'm saying you could
- 7:10Speaker 1: they heard about.
- 7:12Speaker 8: I sell myself to the Dodgers. They heard about two
- 7:17Speaker 8: seventy five of that three hundred.
- 7:19Speaker 1: To get around the Texas. So like what they you
- 7:22Speaker 1: about fifteen years? Wait?
- 7:23Speaker 5: Wait, so you're saying I do only get about fifteen
- 7:26Speaker 5: million a year.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll still tell my sixty Hey Dodgers, how you doing,
- 7:33Speaker 1: big boys? Spring training is back.
- 7:35Speaker 8: My war Eagles were able to hold off Arkansas last night.
- 7:38Speaker 8: They still a top of the college basketball a pantheum
- 7:44Speaker 8: as they head into the last two weeks. They only
- 7:47Speaker 8: have about four or five games to the regular season ends. Uh,
- 7:51Speaker 8: and March Madness begins. As you know, we're standing here
- 7:54Speaker 8: on the twentieth day of February, so we have really
- 7:59Speaker 8: walked right up to the or of March March Madness.
- 8:02Speaker 8: The Sweet sixteen for you that are in Atlanta, it's here.
- 8:06Speaker 8: So the Sweet sixteen.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Came alert, el alert came alert.
- 8:12Speaker 5: Yes, scam alert alert, scam alert, scam alert.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Scam alert.
- 8:20Speaker 3: You mean we got two events here?
- 8:22Speaker 5: Sixteen Okay, the same weekend, six oh, scam alert and
- 8:28Speaker 5: everything everything that's that state, counterfeit, t shirts, tickets, everything.
- 8:34Speaker 8: So my Auburn Tigers looking well, staying healthy. Looks like
- 8:40Speaker 8: they will be able to fend off and maybe take
- 8:42Speaker 8: home this SEC title at least to start off the tournament.
- 8:46Speaker 8: Where's the SEC tournament? Is it still in Tampa?
- 8:49Speaker 1: Yeah? This? And I hadn't came back to Atlanta yet,
- 8:51Speaker 1: so I'm not sure.
- 8:53Speaker 8: Worse last time I went to it, it was in Tampa,
- 8:56Speaker 8: now was three years ago.
- 8:59Speaker 1: It's Saint Lewis or they moved it. What St. Louis
- 9:03Speaker 1: had to do with the SEC? Yeah, that's that's Missouri,
- 9:06Speaker 1: Missouri in Maybe that's it's in Nashville.
- 9:11Speaker 8: Nashville. Okay, that's a little better. I'm not saying if
- 9:16Speaker 8: you're in St. Louis, that's the edge of the SEC.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Now has there ever been a conference championship in the
- 9:25Speaker 5: same city that they have the uh? Sweet sixteen and
- 9:30Speaker 5: Elite eight like that close together? So like Atlanta gets
- 9:35Speaker 5: the SEC championship then a couple of weeks later.
- 9:37Speaker 8: Oh, I'm sure, I'm sure that has happened for the
- 9:40Speaker 8: cities that they have these these championships.
- 9:43Speaker 1: It was it was in Atlanta for.
- 9:46Speaker 7: H a few years, like in a row that when
- 9:49Speaker 7: it was at the at the Old Georgia Dome. Uh,
- 9:52Speaker 7: and they would have and they had the Final four
- 9:55Speaker 7: a couple of times.
- 9:55Speaker 1: During that span.
- 9:56Speaker 8: Yeah, in Atlanta, it continues to try to get the
- 10:00Speaker 8: SEC championship here.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Yeah, they're attempting to get it back.
- 10:03Speaker 8: Yeah, but a lot of the teams, like they rightfully
- 10:06Speaker 8: should try to get it moved, so sometimes they don't
- 10:09Speaker 8: have to take the long drive, right, you know, for
- 10:12Speaker 8: things like that, especially when you talk about the tournament,
- 10:15Speaker 8: it's not like it's not like the SEC game where
- 10:18Speaker 8: it's just.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Really a day thing. You can go down and come back.
- 10:21Speaker 8: You go to the tournament, it's a three day you
- 10:24Speaker 8: gotta win and you gotta wait a day.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Didn't play again.
- 10:26Speaker 8: So some people just want to make it over. But
- 10:31Speaker 8: one question we're going to talk about, just want to
- 10:33Speaker 8: put it out there so you out there that's listening
- 10:36Speaker 8: can chime in and help us figure this out.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Is it the shoes? Is it the shoes?
- 10:43Speaker 8: Jason Kidd, the Hall of Famer and the Dallas Mavericks coach,
- 10:47Speaker 8: says that Michael jordan relevance in twenty twenty five.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Really is.
- 10:57Speaker 8: Only still as long as it is because of his shoes.
- 11:04Speaker 8: And I thought that was a great topic, and even
- 11:08Speaker 8: when I sent it out to a couple of people.
- 11:10Speaker 8: People have a lot of little things to say about it.
- 11:13Speaker 8: But Jason kidding, And and when I listened to him,
- 11:16Speaker 8: he wasn't saying any kind of putting down Jordan. He's
- 11:20Speaker 8: always said that Jordan's and Kobe was the two hardest
- 11:24Speaker 8: people he ever had to guard when he played. He
- 11:27Speaker 8: was just talking about a standpoint of time. Yes, And
- 11:32Speaker 8: is it the shoes the most popular sneaker that we
- 11:36Speaker 8: still kill over?
- 11:39Speaker 5: You?
- 11:39Speaker 8: Really, you never really heard anyone killing over some d ways.
- 11:46Speaker 1: You never heard anybody's stand.
- 11:50Speaker 8: Or even you know, you never heard nobody stand a
- 11:52Speaker 8: line for some kd Yes or any of these guys.
- 11:56Speaker 8: So we'll be back with more of the Sports Shock
- 11:58Speaker 8: Show right after this.

- 15:27Speaker 1: To turn around and drop a drop A. Welcome back
- 15:33Speaker 1: to this boy Shock Show. I'm this moy Shock wing game.
- 15:36Speaker 1: A good morning to you.
- 15:38Speaker 8: Are they're listening Lane As we talked about Major League
- 15:41Speaker 8: Baseball Spring training, the second half of the n b
- 15:46Speaker 8: A started last night only one game, one tap, which
- 15:50Speaker 8: was the Charlotte Hornet's defeating the Lakers. It was the
- 15:56Speaker 8: third time that Lebron James and Luka Dunkic was on
- 16:02Speaker 8: the court together. And before we go on, since the
- 16:07Speaker 8: All Star Break, I've seen a lot of people try
- 16:10Speaker 8: to criticize Lebron James for not playing in the All
- 16:16Speaker 8: Star Game. Lebron James made the All Star Game before
- 16:23Speaker 8: Zachary Rissus Shear was born. That's how long he's been
- 16:31Speaker 8: in these All Star Games. Lebron James is forty. He
- 16:38Speaker 8: is actually really the only guy that you have to
- 16:43Speaker 8: trust that it's day to day that at the end
- 16:50Speaker 8: of each game he something could be swollen. Yeah, by
- 16:55Speaker 8: the next game, and he could have sat out the game.
- 16:58Speaker 8: You know what I'm saying, it's farting. I'm sitting there
- 17:02Speaker 8: watching you jump and it made my knee what I
- 17:06Speaker 8: was watching is like And even the bad producer as
- 17:10Speaker 8: we left on the Monday Show, he was taking from.
- 17:13Speaker 1: The standpoint that Lebron might not have liked that format.
- 17:18Speaker 8: You got there, y'all was talking about some musical chairs
- 17:20Speaker 8: and y'all gonna be in this color cold, and y'all
- 17:24Speaker 8: gonna play these guys and then y'all gonna flip over.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Man, man, I ain't feeling to that. No, no, no,
- 17:29Speaker 1: We're gonna no no, no, see no, Bro, I've been
- 17:32Speaker 1: doing this too long.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Change.
- 17:36Speaker 5: I used to do this when we used to shoot
- 17:38Speaker 5: in the tear away jump jumpsuits. We used to do
- 17:42Speaker 5: the all start the ball. I just came here the ball.
- 17:45Speaker 5: You talking big man. That's it, y'all talking about all
- 17:50Speaker 5: the ride the dunk contest with a bunch of dudes
- 17:54Speaker 5: lining up and dunking, and then at the end somebody
- 17:58Speaker 5: was gone, you won big.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:01Speaker 5: You know.
- 18:01Speaker 9: There was a lot of people making a big deal,
- 18:03Speaker 9: and then there started showing pictures of other players in
- 18:06Speaker 9: the past who have taken a picture with the team
- 18:09Speaker 9: without their uniform on. I can't remember that made the
- 18:13Speaker 9: All Star team and they didn't dress, and it was
- 18:15Speaker 9: like a big deal because he came out without his uniform.
- 18:20Speaker 9: But like I told you, they jerked away real quick
- 18:22Speaker 9: because I see Lebron about to break it down with
- 18:24Speaker 9: the Chili.
- 18:25Speaker 1: That was mad because he you know, I can't be mad.
- 18:29Speaker 9: I mean I've seen, like I said, there's several pictures
- 18:31Speaker 9: after that players did the same thing.
- 18:35Speaker 7: A lot of people made a comparison, like with Lebron
- 18:37Speaker 7: taking the team picture not in uniform.
- 18:40Speaker 1: But Giannis did what I'm saying.
- 18:45Speaker 9: But what I'm saying is he's not the first one
- 18:47Speaker 9: to do that. It's been several stars. I think Kobe
- 18:52Speaker 9: did it one year he took a picture. It was
- 18:54Speaker 9: someone else, a big name player that was in the
- 18:57Speaker 9: All Star game, and they didn't dress.
- 19:00Speaker 8: But if the players and the people care so much
- 19:02Speaker 8: about all this event, why have we gotten to the
- 19:04Speaker 8: point of basically w W E. Ringley Brothers. Why are
- 19:13Speaker 8: we down to that? If you care so much, then
- 19:16Speaker 8: shouldn't the game reflect all this caring?
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, I mean this to me, the whole weekend
- 19:23Speaker 1: is just a photo op anyway, it.
- 19:30Speaker 5: Right, And from a personal point of view, if we're
- 19:34Speaker 5: showing up for photo ops, nothing makes me stand out
- 19:37Speaker 5: like being the only dude ain't got the T shirt on.
- 19:40Speaker 8: At least Major League Baseball that one year they put
- 19:45Speaker 8: who would host who would be the home team in
- 19:48Speaker 8: the World Series on the game? Right, maybe it's like
- 19:53Speaker 8: two years ago or three years ago. Remember they whoever
- 19:56Speaker 8: won the All Star Game, they would have home in the.
- 20:01Speaker 1: World Stories, regardless of record. Right, right, So at least
- 20:05Speaker 1: they learned that we got to put something on it. Something.
- 20:09Speaker 1: But we're still gonna play the game. It will be
- 20:12Speaker 1: an actual game.
- 20:14Speaker 8: Musical chairs. It doesn't even look like basketball. And now
- 20:18Speaker 8: I see that they're even trying some tweaks. Uh, they're
- 20:21Speaker 8: thinking about starting the game earlier. I don't know if
- 20:24Speaker 8: that takes brain science.
- 20:26Speaker 7: To say it was played in the on a Sunday afternoon,
- 20:30Speaker 7: a lot of like and then this is, this is, this.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Is So you're saying that eight o'clock.
- 20:37Speaker 5: So you're saying that you got a problem with Lebron
- 20:42Speaker 5: making the All Star Team but not putting on the uniform.
- 20:46Speaker 5: But you'll let a dude that's not in the actual
- 20:48Speaker 5: NBA getting the All Star contest. And then you'll let
- 20:52Speaker 5: dudes coach who aren't currently in the NBA or have
- 20:57Speaker 5: anything to do with the All Star Game right now
- 20:59Speaker 5: of a thing that they're NBA celebrity and and that
- 21:02Speaker 5: the whole thing is just smoking mirrors and it's a
- 21:07Speaker 5: big corn maze and it's not really going anywhere, but
- 21:11Speaker 5: people are still willing to buy tickets. So you know,
- 21:14Speaker 5: I think NBA right now is just going to ride
- 21:17Speaker 5: the pony until it stops running, because right now there
- 21:21Speaker 5: at least when it comes to the All Star Game.
- 21:24Speaker 8: Yeah, the three changes they are considering his earlier start
- 21:29Speaker 8: playing some one on one.
- 21:32Speaker 1: That'll do it. That's what we've been missing on, missing
- 21:36Speaker 1: that success. I just want to no, I know you don't.
- 21:42Speaker 8: I just want you all to jump the ball and play.
- 21:45Speaker 8: At about ninety two percent of your effort. I want
- 21:48Speaker 8: to see Cat go against Luco I play at the
- 21:51Speaker 8: effort of the first two or three weeks of the season.
- 21:54Speaker 8: That effort, Why still see.
- 21:56Speaker 1: That you still trying your legs ain't quite there, but
- 22:00Speaker 1: they on the way that.
- 22:02Speaker 7: Influence from players to get other players two to play
- 22:09Speaker 7: at that kind of effort. Like when like, uh, people
- 22:14Speaker 7: give Kobe credit for getting guys to play. There are
- 22:17Speaker 7: a lot of competitive games when he was there.
- 22:20Speaker 8: Uh, that's not That's not how it worked. That's not
- 22:25Speaker 8: how it worked. That's how it works in the NBA.
- 22:27Speaker 18: Right.
- 22:28Speaker 1: No, it was like one guy or or a couple
- 22:31Speaker 1: of guys to influence the other guys. I would say
- 22:35Speaker 1: that because no one comes to that on their own.
- 22:37Speaker 1: They don't.
- 22:37Speaker 9: And my thing of it is, i'm i'm I'm at
- 22:40Speaker 9: the point where at one point I said, I think
- 22:43Speaker 9: they do need to start the game earlier. It's a
- 22:45Speaker 9: lot of things going on from that Friday, Saturday till Sunday,
- 22:49Speaker 9: where in the past it wasn't that much activity. And
- 22:52Speaker 9: it needs to be one day. Yeah, one said it
- 22:55Speaker 9: needs to be one just go back to the one
- 22:57Speaker 9: day thing that they had. They had to be contents
- 23:01Speaker 9: on that same day. So whenever you put that uniform on, right,
- 23:06Speaker 9: you only time you're gonna.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Have to put it on, and we don't have to
- 23:08Speaker 1: worry about it anymore. And Dan, if you want me
- 23:11Speaker 1: with more than sports jock shoe right after this.
- 23:21Speaker 19: Business gets.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Don't bowl.

- 25:07Speaker 10: Imagine you're stuck in a jail cell and you can't
- 25:10Speaker 10: afford Bell and someone offers you a way out. Just
- 25:14Speaker 10: plead guilty and you can go home and kiss your
- 25:16Speaker 10: kids good night.
- 25:17Speaker 21: What do you do?
- 25:18Speaker 6: What?
- 25:19Speaker 10: Thousands have you plead guilty whether you are or not
- 25:23Speaker 10: Cash Bell makes poverty a crime. That's why the Bell
- 25:27Speaker 10: Project helps those who can't afford it, while fighting to
- 25:30Speaker 10: in cash bill because freedom should be free.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Brought to you by the AD Council.
- 25:37Speaker 1: And now back to the sports giant Wayne Gandy in
- 25:44Speaker 1: the red Zone.
- 26:07Speaker 8: This morning, we have to welcome back to the Sport
- 26:09Speaker 8: Shock Shell on the Sport Shock Wing Candy, Good morning
- 26:12Speaker 8: to you, command you Greg McKinney, bad producer, all in
- 26:16Speaker 8: the building. We were just tying a boat on the
- 26:18Speaker 8: All Star activities from this past weekend. NBA already considering
- 26:28Speaker 8: changing some All Star weekend events next year, going to
- 26:34Speaker 8: earlier start time. Also, one on one players have players now,
- 26:40Speaker 8: they get that piggybacking from that unrivaled league that the
- 26:46Speaker 8: Fissile Callier started. I still haven't watched any of those games,
- 26:51Speaker 8: but they had a one on one tournament, uh and
- 26:55Speaker 8: also try to convince more stars to be in the
- 27:00Speaker 8: Dunk Contest, so we will see how that goes. It's
- 27:07Speaker 8: just a lot of tricks and smoking mirrors. It just
- 27:12Speaker 8: seems almost like a weekend that needs to fade away
- 27:20Speaker 8: and see it's like it's like becoming more of a
- 27:23Speaker 8: disturbance of conversation than it is actually productivity other than
- 27:29Speaker 8: the advertising.
- 27:30Speaker 5: If and what I'm saying is if we were coming
- 27:34Speaker 5: for a magic show, then this would be cool. But
- 27:40Speaker 5: this is not what we're coming for. We didn't sign
- 27:43Speaker 5: up for this, and you keep giving us this. And
- 27:47Speaker 5: that's why I think it needs to go away, because
- 27:49Speaker 5: you actually don't know how to package the product for
- 27:54Speaker 5: our consumption.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Would you miss it?
- 27:57Speaker 22: No?
- 27:57Speaker 1: Would you miss it co Magic?
- 27:59Speaker 23: No?
- 28:01Speaker 13: No?
- 28:01Speaker 1: Because and can I say why?
- 28:03Speaker 9: Because I remember when the Dunk Contest was that Sunday,
- 28:08Speaker 9: the day the Dunk Contest, the three point shootout, it
- 28:10Speaker 9: was actually that day of the All Star you like
- 28:14Speaker 9: you said, it.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Was one day and that was it. It was just
- 28:16Speaker 1: it would got done. It would get done.
- 28:18Speaker 9: Uh or the night before they sometime they show you
- 28:22Speaker 9: the highlights of who won. You you actually never really
- 28:25Speaker 9: saw the Dunk Contest or the three point shootout unless
- 28:29Speaker 9: you were able.
- 28:30Speaker 1: It was certain channels, it was on the cable. But
- 28:33Speaker 1: I think that.
- 28:36Speaker 9: The trickery, as we say, the gold Tritter thing, it's
- 28:39Speaker 9: either you just gonna have to sooner or later vote
- 28:41Speaker 9: these are All Stars. You guys got them three days off,
- 28:45Speaker 9: no game or nothing. If you're not gonna compete, you
- 28:48Speaker 9: just got labeled as a as an All Star because
- 28:51Speaker 9: pretty soon that's where it's going because everybody is pulling out.
- 28:57Speaker 9: You even got guys pulling out of the All Star
- 28:59Speaker 9: Game in this mid season. So if you're not ready
- 29:03Speaker 9: to play mid season, who say you ready to go
- 29:05Speaker 9: when it's time to go on?
- 29:06Speaker 8: Well, the mindset with the whole NBA has has become
- 29:11Speaker 8: one of those moments, and they've said it themselves a
- 29:14Speaker 8: lot of different players that they sit around and since
- 29:18Speaker 8: nothing ever, nothing matters but winning a championship. And when
- 29:24Speaker 8: that mindset came along, it started to really peel away
- 29:29Speaker 8: at this sport where now we want a shorter season.
- 29:34Speaker 8: Most of these guys really would just like to start
- 29:36Speaker 8: in the playoffs. The day to day game. The game
- 29:41Speaker 8: doesn't matter to them. Well it must not matter to
- 29:46Speaker 8: the fans, because that's where they got the idea. I
- 29:49Speaker 8: you know, because we're so quick to be like, well
- 29:52Speaker 8: this person didn't win a championship, so they're less Dan.
- 29:57Speaker 1: I'm less Dan.
- 29:59Speaker 8: So we say, all people start to group up. I'm
- 30:03Speaker 8: not gonna stay here and be Carl Malone. I'm not
- 30:06Speaker 8: gonna stay here and be Dominique Wilkins or because they're
- 30:10Speaker 8: gonna say I'm less Dan.
- 30:12Speaker 1: I'm not a real champion. I'm not as good as
- 30:14Speaker 1: this guy. Yeah, I didn't win the big one.
- 30:16Speaker 8: So you had guys taking voyages to go try too fine,
- 30:20Speaker 8: and it wasn't. Uh we're talking about all the way
- 30:23Speaker 8: back to Charles Barkley leaving the Sixers to go to
- 30:27Speaker 8: the Suns Phoenix. Yep, like it became a chase that
- 30:31Speaker 8: if I can find a window to get away, he
- 30:33Speaker 8: went to U. Because you're saying that if I don't
- 30:35Speaker 8: win a championship, then I'm less Dan.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you this.
- 30:41Speaker 8: So then that made it seem like that's all you
- 30:43Speaker 8: care about. So why would why would I use my
- 30:46Speaker 8: bullets to entertain you today?
- 30:50Speaker 5: Well, I'm saying, but but you okay, you you won't.
- 30:55Speaker 5: You won't use your bullets for for the All Star Game,
- 30:58Speaker 5: But but you you unload on me for the play ins.
- 31:05Speaker 1: You know what I mean? The play in tournament. I
- 31:06Speaker 1: don't think. I don't think they do that.
- 31:09Speaker 8: I think the one or two teams that happen to
- 31:11Speaker 8: win a couple of games and find themselves right next
- 31:16Speaker 8: to the play in, but I don't see a different energy. No,
- 31:23Speaker 8: I haven't seen a different energy yet. I see they
- 31:25Speaker 8: take advantage of the opportunity once it's like, oh, so
- 31:29Speaker 8: all I was winning one game and right, oh okay, well,
- 31:32Speaker 8: well I'll go get the money.
- 31:34Speaker 1: But I'm not.
- 31:35Speaker 8: I'm not necessarily trying to win that as much as
- 31:38Speaker 8: if I get close to it or that just happened
- 31:41Speaker 8: to be the circumstance, I'll take advantage of it.
- 31:44Speaker 5: Yeah, and you said what you asked the question, would
- 31:48Speaker 5: the All Star Game be missed? And the fact of
- 31:51Speaker 5: the matter is from the way I used to track
- 31:56Speaker 5: and watch the sport, I don't know if I would
- 32:00Speaker 5: completely miss NBA basketball being pay perview only, because I don't.
- 32:08Speaker 5: There's nothing that makes me go tonight. You know, I
- 32:12Speaker 5: got this popcorn, I got this cheese mix, I got mine,
- 32:16Speaker 5: you know what I mean. I'm gonna sit down and hey,
- 32:19Speaker 5: don't bother me in this block of time that hasn't
- 32:22Speaker 5: happened to me in years.
- 32:24Speaker 1: With the NBA. Well, we will see how to go.
- 32:27Speaker 1: One thing.
- 32:28Speaker 8: Celtic Tech coach Joe Mizzoula is saying that he would
- 32:33Speaker 8: like to eliminate halftime. He says that halftime, and his words,
- 32:40Speaker 8: is useless. We really would like to get rid of halftime.
- 32:45Speaker 8: If it was up to me, I wish we wouldn't.
- 32:49Speaker 8: We would ban havetime. I can't stand halftime. I just
- 32:55Speaker 8: don't understand it. I guess I do from a business standpoint.
- 33:01Speaker 8: He understands it, but I hate it. It's useless. This
- 33:06Speaker 8: is coming from Celtics head coach Joe Missoula, that he
- 33:10Speaker 8: really says that he halftime is useless.
- 33:14Speaker 9: But he mustn't have a halftime probby the games that
- 33:17Speaker 9: other arenas because I imagine the Boston they probably just
- 33:20Speaker 9: ready to go play ball.
- 33:21Speaker 1: But well, it m's been something that's going on.
- 33:23Speaker 9: Is thinking of making the halftime prolonging during the other
- 33:27Speaker 9: arenas or something.
- 33:28Speaker 7: I thought there's a scheduled time that they have it.
- 33:31Speaker 7: He looks at it from a psychological angle. I'm saying,
- 33:35Speaker 7: but half happened.
- 33:37Speaker 1: But that's like I was.
- 33:41Speaker 9: You know, when you play sports, even as a youth sports,
- 33:44Speaker 9: it's two halves. You gotta play one. Just don't you
- 33:47Speaker 9: play one half, you gotta go.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Play the second. In Major League Baseball, well, I'm just saying.
- 33:52Speaker 9: The sports with clocks at times. Let me stay correct
- 33:56Speaker 9: sports with quarters half and half. You gotta play each
- 34:00Speaker 9: quarter or you just can't. You won that quarter, but
- 34:03Speaker 9: you gotta go play the glass cargo all the five
- 34:05Speaker 9: hundred miles.
- 34:07Speaker 1: I said everything without a clock or time. They time
- 34:10Speaker 1: they tied the laps? Now ain't no? Do you think
- 34:14Speaker 1: bad producer? Do you think that it could be this
- 34:16Speaker 1: golf tournament? Tournament? Do you think listen? Does it stop?
- 34:20Speaker 5: No?
- 34:21Speaker 1: No, Let me let me this, sir. Let me ask
- 34:23Speaker 1: you this. Do you know you've got two halves, you
- 34:25Speaker 1: play the front nine and the back nine. That's like
- 34:27Speaker 1: a half time producer. Do you think that it could be?
- 34:30Speaker 5: Do you think that possibly part of his objection could
- 34:33Speaker 5: be not the fact that they have that time inserted,
- 34:37Speaker 5: but what they're doing with the time, Well that's could
- 34:41Speaker 5: it could that what he is coming down of the
- 34:46Speaker 5: wasting mental energy is we gonna really sit here and
- 34:49Speaker 5: watch a group of fat men take their shirts off
- 34:52Speaker 5: and gyrate in the middle of the court for twelve minutes.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Were gonna listen to Gucci, We're gonna listen to Joe Missoula.
- 35:00Speaker 9: What if you got your guy your tatum needs to
- 35:04Speaker 9: go in and have time and get some treatment and
- 35:07Speaker 9: that's the only time he could get it.
- 35:08Speaker 1: So that's why you have like twelve other guys god,
- 35:12Speaker 1: that you can put in the game.
- 35:13Speaker 5: Haven't you seen them dudes warming up during the game
- 35:16Speaker 5: on the sidelines.
- 35:18Speaker 1: There's what they do.
- 35:19Speaker 5: There's a dude that comes out and actually puts the
- 35:22Speaker 5: cold pack on it and they massage him right there.
- 35:26Speaker 8: You got you have some guys that based on their injury, Uh,
- 35:30Speaker 8: they going to Breezeway.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Yeah, the bike.
- 35:33Speaker 8: They're not even over on the bench until there's time
- 35:36Speaker 8: to go in the game. They get super wrapped up
- 35:41Speaker 8: like you know with ice pads and I mean ice
- 35:45Speaker 8: packs and everything else. That's just like jam, I just
- 35:48Speaker 8: thought it was an interesting for a head coach and
- 35:51Speaker 8: just want a championship to say.
- 35:52Speaker 9: And he finds it useless and he played and I
- 35:56Speaker 9: think because because he played also.
- 35:59Speaker 8: So and I think may be he should start by
- 36:02Speaker 8: trying maybe to get him to cut it down. So
- 36:06Speaker 8: cut it down five minutes. I cut halftime. Now when
- 36:11Speaker 8: I'm they come in, I do.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I'm saying cut halftime, but I'm talking about but I'm talking.
- 36:17Speaker 9: About it in my world with when I officiated, when
- 36:19Speaker 9: they they asked me how much time y'all want put
- 36:21Speaker 9: a clock for halftime.
- 36:22Speaker 24: That's the wrong thing to ask me how much time?
- 36:24Speaker 24: Five minutes and they're supposed to get ten. I tell
- 36:28Speaker 24: him five minutes. Why would you do that so we
- 36:31Speaker 24: can get it going. I understand what he's saying, though,
- 36:34Speaker 24: keep it moving well and see. But I'm just still
- 36:40Speaker 24: if you don't ask, you can't get it.
- 36:41Speaker 5: And and and I'm saying understanding that it's your discretion
- 36:47Speaker 5: is what I'm accepting. But you made it sound as
- 36:51Speaker 5: if it was a judgment call for you. You decide
- 36:55Speaker 5: if you want to give them the regulation amount of.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Time or not.
- 36:58Speaker 5: And that's not what officials, in my opinion, are set
- 37:02Speaker 5: to do. You're not a judge and a jury. You're
- 37:05Speaker 5: there to enforce the established and mans the game. And
- 37:10Speaker 5: it is already established. So but if if they have
- 37:15Speaker 5: to do that.
- 37:15Speaker 1: So I saw that, and that's what I'm saying, That's
- 37:17Speaker 1: what the part I didn't understand.
- 37:19Speaker 9: Yeah, I have, we have jurisdiction. But like I said,
- 37:21Speaker 9: when they asked, I almost say I'm gonna cut it down.
- 37:24Speaker 1: We'll be back with more fort Stock show right after this.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I would have said that.
- 37:41Speaker 13: Don't Go Away, or of the Sports John Show with

- 39:49Speaker 27: And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gandy ting
- 40:13Speaker 27: long don say you can see a sports jaint. I'll
- 40:16Speaker 27: sing even welcome back to this sport shock show.
- 40:21Speaker 8: I'm in this sport shock Wing Canny, Good morning to
- 40:23Speaker 8: you out there this thing Land. We left talking about
- 40:27Speaker 8: Celtics head coach Joe Missoula. He was talking about eliminating halftime.
- 40:32Speaker 8: It's useless. He doesn't understand it. And it could be
- 40:36Speaker 8: from when I'm at games.
- 40:38Speaker 18: I do know.
- 40:39Speaker 8: Uh, the stop at your play is so frequent, especially
- 40:43Speaker 8: in the NBA, and the moments of time that they
- 40:46Speaker 8: consistently go back and forth is very small, So I
- 40:51Speaker 8: can imagine him in the middle of all that, You're
- 40:55Speaker 8: gonna You're gonna stick this twenty minute break, because that's
- 41:00Speaker 8: about what it is, about twenty minutes of real time
- 41:04Speaker 8: where by the time the next time they actually play
- 41:07Speaker 8: a real minute, and sometimes, especially here in Atlanta, it
- 41:12Speaker 8: might be twenty five minutes where they've had a whole
- 41:16Speaker 8: concert at halftime and giving away eras, gift cards and
- 41:23Speaker 8: all kind of stuff, and then it's finally a game.
- 41:27Speaker 8: And when you add on top of that the idea
- 41:29Speaker 8: that NBA teams have about seven eight timeouts per half,
- 41:38Speaker 8: it can based on the game be a lot of stoppage.
- 41:41Speaker 7: And now that's longer. Like it used to be timeouts.
- 41:46Speaker 7: You would it'll be a minute or it would be
- 41:49Speaker 7: a twenty second timeout, but now all the timeouts are
- 41:53Speaker 7: a minute, fifteen and so.
- 41:55Speaker 8: And we know why the game because I never I
- 41:56Speaker 8: still haven't been to basketball games and thought that are
- 42:00Speaker 8: going too long.
- 42:01Speaker 1: So just to me, this still has not reached that
- 42:04Speaker 1: kind of If I the.
- 42:05Speaker 8: Game start at seven point thirty, typically I'm back in
- 42:08Speaker 8: my car at nine forty five ten at the longest,
- 42:14Speaker 8: which is two hours and fifteen two and a half hour,
- 42:17Speaker 8: it's not that long. Sometimes it's even quicker. It's just
- 42:20Speaker 8: based on the flow and based on the national audience,
- 42:24Speaker 8: national games and longer and things like that. Did the
- 42:28Speaker 8: referee go over there and look at a call for
- 42:30Speaker 8: seven minutes? That's the problem on the illustrator and break
- 42:36Speaker 8: the momentum. And I just think Joe might just feels
- 42:40Speaker 8: like his in game adjustments and all that stuff can
- 42:43Speaker 8: be handled. You know, I got twelve guys, so it's
- 42:48Speaker 8: not like you know when you take football and I
- 42:53Speaker 8: got two different sides of the ball. I got fifty
- 42:57Speaker 8: three people out here, you know, and sometimes even in
- 43:01Speaker 8: football as a player, based on the locker room, by
- 43:07Speaker 8: the time you get back there and do a number
- 43:10Speaker 8: one and everybody put their hand in, well let's go
- 43:15Speaker 8: get them. It's time to walk back the number one.
- 43:18Speaker 5: That's the burger with just pickling ub. We got a
- 43:27Speaker 5: couple of comments online listeners. Uh un Charlie wanted to know.
- 43:32Speaker 5: First of all, he said he thought that the people
- 43:34Speaker 5: vote for the players in the All Star Games, and uh,
- 43:38Speaker 5: is it not the same in the NBA. And then
- 43:40Speaker 5: he also asked that what is halftime for? Like, what
- 43:44Speaker 5: is what what is it's supposed to be the teams
- 43:47Speaker 5: to rest reset? What is the purpose of having halftime
- 43:50Speaker 5: in the NBA game?
- 43:51Speaker 8: I would imagine that halftime from its inception was a
- 43:55Speaker 8: time for the crowd to get up because in those venues,
- 44:00Speaker 8: even if you go to some of the older stadiums,
- 44:03Speaker 8: they had limited restrooms to get to or they had
- 44:07Speaker 8: limited concession stands, and that older, that crowd fifty years
- 44:14Speaker 8: ago was more attentive, so when they went into the stadium,
- 44:17Speaker 8: they stayed until the breaks. You know, you go to
- 44:20Speaker 8: games now and you could end up on a row
- 44:23Speaker 8: with somebody that seems like they need to get up
- 44:26Speaker 8: every three minutes. That all you keep doing is letting
- 44:30Speaker 8: them buy because they're so active and walk around, or
- 44:35Speaker 8: just never come to their seats. They were in the arena,
- 44:38Speaker 8: but they were down in the club area or somewhere,
- 44:41Speaker 8: never came to their seats. But I think then when
- 44:44Speaker 8: they created halftime, it was time, you know, twofold players
- 44:48Speaker 8: to go get a quick break, kind of discuss strategy.
- 44:52Speaker 8: And for fans, to me, I would start with just
- 44:56Speaker 8: cutting it. It could be cut right. And I think
- 44:59Speaker 8: for basketball does with so much interaction already on the sideline,
- 45:03Speaker 8: it's not a lot of concepts that we need to talk.
- 45:07Speaker 8: And the head coach is able to just turn at
- 45:09Speaker 8: any moment and talk to his team. His team, right, hey, man,
- 45:13Speaker 8: at all time, come in. Let me tell you something.
- 45:16Speaker 8: He doesn't have all this vast amount of people's spirit.
- 45:19Speaker 1: He gonna stretchen it. Hey, get on him. Get on
- 45:21Speaker 1: him when you go in and get on it. It's
- 45:24Speaker 1: as simple as that, when you get on it.
- 45:27Speaker 8: So we will see if someone with his you know,
- 45:31Speaker 8: having won a championship. And I don't think he was
- 45:34Speaker 8: doing it like Rix. I don't think he was doing
- 45:36Speaker 8: this for cutting the game is too going too long.
- 45:39Speaker 8: He probably just finds himself in the locker room with
- 45:43Speaker 8: these five eight minutes.
- 45:45Speaker 7: It's like, okay, we get okay, we go back out there,
- 45:48Speaker 7: We're go do this. And that took about ten seconds,
- 45:51Speaker 7: right and.
- 45:52Speaker 5: Break and then break, and then they all sit around waiting,
- 45:56Speaker 5: we're gonna do it now? No, not now, And then
- 45:58Speaker 5: you know it's probably us. He wanted to know about
- 46:03Speaker 5: the voting for the players in the All Star Game.
- 46:07Speaker 5: He thought that the people voted for All Star players,
- 46:10Speaker 5: but in the there's a new formula for it.
- 46:14Speaker 7: So it used to be the fans voted for the
- 46:17Speaker 7: starters and it was just that, but now that counts
- 46:20Speaker 7: for half and then the media vote counts for twenty
- 46:25Speaker 7: five percent, the player vote counts for twenty five percent,
- 46:27Speaker 7: and then there's a score based on that.
- 46:30Speaker 1: That's how I've been doing the last few years.
- 46:32Speaker 8: Yeah, it's always been like three to four criteria. It's like,
- 46:38Speaker 8: you know, sometimes three is just front office people, coaches, players, fans,
- 46:46Speaker 8: something like that, based on what you're voting for, because
- 46:49Speaker 8: the fans in some years, the fan vote was more
- 46:52Speaker 8: than the players because they want to just satisfy who
- 46:55Speaker 8: the fans, but it becomes unfair because certain fan bases
- 46:58Speaker 8: are more popular than others. They're more dedicated to voting.
- 47:03Speaker 8: It's the same thing with postseason honors if you just
- 47:05Speaker 8: leave it to the fans. And some fans are just
- 47:08Speaker 8: behind their players more than others. So you can only
- 47:12Speaker 8: count that as so much.
- 47:13Speaker 1: And what do you think of it?
- 47:14Speaker 5: Do you think it's the the NBA chef or the
- 47:18Speaker 5: fans that keep the All Star Game alive? Because some
- 47:21Speaker 5: products once they lose their efficacy, once they lose their sponsorship. Okay,
- 47:28Speaker 5: because I was gonna say people usually pull a product.
- 47:30Speaker 8: I mean mclung was able to bring a key out,
- 47:34Speaker 8: so once again had its moment. The commercials are made
- 47:39Speaker 8: more like the Super Bowl commercials when you get into
- 47:43Speaker 8: the All Star you got all the performances, and you
- 47:46Speaker 8: got all the sponsorships and.
- 47:50Speaker 1: You know all that.
- 47:51Speaker 8: It's product placement. So yeah, we'll be back more to sports.
- 47:55Speaker 8: The new shoe everybody where's their new their signature shoe
- 47:59Speaker 8: color colorway.
- 48:00Speaker 1: It's but a different colorway. It's Zoolander. We'll be back right,

- 49:59Speaker 8: Where Back to the Sway Shock Show. I'm the Swart
- 50:03Speaker 8: Shock Wayne Againdie the Great Venus Williams at forty four
- 50:09Speaker 8: years old, she will be playing in Indian Wells. Venus
- 50:15Speaker 8: has not been playing consistently over the last two or
- 50:19Speaker 8: three years, but she hasn't really officially retired either, so
- 50:26Speaker 8: her career really has been marred over the last decade.
- 50:31Speaker 8: Once she got diagnosed with that autoimmune disease where she
- 50:38Speaker 8: fatigues quicker, it was something that wears her out. So really,
- 50:43Speaker 8: if she can't beat you in them first two, she can't.
- 50:47Speaker 8: She can't really do three right, So she.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Gonna be she beats you.
- 50:51Speaker 8: She gotta beat you fast, the serve gotta be on
- 50:54Speaker 8: or her energy base just runs down. But the seven
- 50:58Speaker 8: time Singles Grand Champ. We'll try once again out at
- 51:03Speaker 8: Indian Wales, a place where her and Serena and her
- 51:07Speaker 8: sister have had some different challenges. I know there was
- 51:11Speaker 8: one time there for about ten years they wouldn't even
- 51:14Speaker 8: play because Serena said she had experienced some racism from
- 51:19Speaker 8: one of the fans, so they went a long time
- 51:23Speaker 8: and wouldn't even play. At Indian Wales, tennis star Emma
- 51:28Speaker 8: Radicanoe has a fixated fan. I don't know if that
- 51:33Speaker 8: means stalker, but she did break down the other day
- 51:43Speaker 8: at a tennis match the gentleman that they asked to leave.
- 51:51Speaker 8: They are reporting him to other tennis venues to eliminate
- 51:58Speaker 8: him from being able to come into competition. She was
- 52:04Speaker 8: plagued by a stalker in Britain in her teenage years,
- 52:09Speaker 8: so it seems like it's I don't know if it's
- 52:11Speaker 8: the same person or it's a different person. Okay, so
- 52:17Speaker 8: she is having some issues with a male stalker, and
- 52:21Speaker 8: I think this time around the gentleman actually maybe had
- 52:27Speaker 8: came over to her tonight.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Before and see sports Jock.
- 52:31Speaker 5: I'm I haven't found any specifics about his prior action
- 52:39Speaker 5: other than he had some sort of interaction with her
- 52:45Speaker 5: in regular life, like he's there for the match, he
- 52:49Speaker 5: saw her out and about and said hey, I'm a
- 52:53Speaker 5: big fan of yours or something similar, and then later
- 52:56Speaker 5: came to the match. Now I don't understand what fixated
- 53:03Speaker 5: behavior is when when you're in the entertainment business, if
- 53:07Speaker 5: you're out and you're playing in the game tomorrow and
- 53:11Speaker 5: somebody says, hey, big G, I'm rooting for you. Go Tigers,
- 53:17Speaker 5: and you play for the Tigers, and then they show
- 53:19Speaker 5: up at the game and you see those people and
- 53:21Speaker 5: you and he goes, G, is that stalking you? Or
- 53:26Speaker 5: is that me supporting you? Like I said I would.
- 53:29Speaker 5: I said I was coming to the game.
- 53:30Speaker 8: Well, and I'm like you, I've been researching the story
- 53:33Speaker 8: to see where he can cross the line more frequently
- 53:39Speaker 8: than maybe this one time. Has he sent some emails
- 53:44Speaker 8: or maybe what he said at the moment she just
- 53:50Speaker 8: scared her. But I haven't really seen. But they are
- 53:53Speaker 8: going to spread his name around and try to get
- 53:56Speaker 8: him banned.
- 53:57Speaker 1: And now I mean she stopped playing and hid behind
- 54:02Speaker 1: the of the judges.
- 54:05Speaker 8: Thing I mean to that point, and I'm hoping it's
- 54:08Speaker 8: just not some bad breakup with a boyfriend.
- 54:10Speaker 1: But okay, hold on, hold on, that's and see this
- 54:14Speaker 1: is what.
- 54:17Speaker 9: Ain't her games and stuff and if you because you
- 54:19Speaker 9: know the word fixated. And then all of a sudden
- 54:23Speaker 9: he saw at the hotel and sets up into Hello.
- 54:28Speaker 1: I don't think they. I don't know if they have
- 54:30Speaker 1: a personal relationship.
- 54:31Speaker 9: But the sunny guy from five years and reading what
- 54:35Speaker 9: I'm briefly it is someone that he's had a restraining
- 54:39Speaker 9: order on him.
- 54:40Speaker 5: Now I know as a teenager she had a restraining
- 54:44Speaker 5: order against the fan. I don't know if it's this
- 54:46Speaker 5: exact same thing. Well, hopefully they released the name and
- 54:51Speaker 5: they'll let us know. I'm saying, which is why we're
- 54:54Speaker 5: saying that this story has to breathe. The point I'm
- 54:58Speaker 5: trying to make is the she has used this to
- 55:03Speaker 5: walk behind the judge, then eventually she lost. We've heard
- 55:07Speaker 5: of the bendi's and the twisties. We've heard of being overwhelmed.
- 55:12Speaker 5: Are we seeing incidents where athletes. Maybe she imagined that
- 55:17Speaker 5: this man was fixated with her because she's had a
- 55:20Speaker 5: prior experience. A lot of this stuff is personal judgment,
- 55:24Speaker 5: is my point. There was the guy that stabbed the
- 55:27Speaker 5: lady at the tennis match. I see putting, I see
- 55:30Speaker 5: being put out of that match. But you're in a
- 55:33Speaker 5: match and you look in the stands and use like
- 55:35Speaker 5: Kenny looking creepy at me. Now I can't go to
- 55:38Speaker 5: no more tennis matches because you say I'm looking creepy,
- 55:42Speaker 5: but because look, well I'm saying it might be warranted me.
- 55:47Speaker 9: But let me say but for tennis, though, with the
- 55:50Speaker 9: incidents through the years, they have been like like you said,
- 55:54Speaker 9: Demonica Seli's man come out and stabbed out of the crowd.
- 55:58Speaker 9: They have to be a little bit more quicker on
- 56:03Speaker 9: the the defense of these shiner stars because I feel
- 56:07Speaker 9: like they've been through I mean, they go through a
- 56:10Speaker 9: lot like a.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Lot of others. I ain't good they do that. I
- 56:14Speaker 1: ain't got when you're at the tennis massage and you no, no, no, no,
- 56:20Speaker 1: listen to what I'm telling you.
- 56:22Speaker 5: What I'm saying to you is this, if there is
- 56:24Speaker 5: no history of this particular individual threatening her, emailing her,
- 56:30Speaker 5: following her around, that's a huge stretch for her to
- 56:34Speaker 5: say she feels a way.
- 56:36Speaker 1: And this man be banned from all tennis.
- 56:38Speaker 9: I thought it was a huge stretch for the younger
- 56:41Speaker 9: oh roll show Dosh what was her name, the oh,
- 56:45Speaker 9: I can't think her name, the other tennis girl when.
- 56:47Speaker 1: She was Coco, Yeah, Coco, Coco.
- 56:50Speaker 9: The same thing, like, oh my people bothering me on
- 56:54Speaker 9: social media and this has affected me.
- 56:57Speaker 1: The same thing. My point is case is sports job
- 57:06Speaker 1: with the girlfriend right, don't go away?
- 57:26Speaker 13: More of the sports Josh Yo with Wayne dandies dumbing
- 57:29Speaker 13: up next.
- 57:32Speaker 22: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 57:35Speaker 22: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 57:38Speaker 22: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes, where
- 57:41Speaker 22: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 57:44Speaker 22: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 57:48Speaker 22: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 57:50Speaker 22: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 57:54Speaker 22: a positive. I knew I needed more tools in my
- 57:57Speaker 22: toolbox to take care of these little girls that had
- 58:00Speaker 22: just lost their mother. It's time for me to be
- 58:03Speaker 22: that father that I knew it could be. I think
- 58:06Speaker 22: just being that good role model as well, that model's
- 58:09Speaker 22: good behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 58:12Speaker 22: coming home and being able to put on that smile.
- 58:15Speaker 22: The biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 58:18Speaker 22: and watching your kids be happy.

- 59:52Speaker 8: The Bappy duos of Big Kenny COMANCHI Greg. We are
- 59:55Speaker 8: rolling uh into March Madness. College bas get balled its
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: front and center a lot of games over the last
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: couple of days with Yukon women being South Carolina Auburn
- 1:00:09Speaker 8: still putting up a fierce identity at the number one position,
- 1:00:16Speaker 8: uh and see if they can hold on going into
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: the tournament Duke Cooper flag.
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: Uh.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: North Carolina is falling off.
- 1:00:26Speaker 9: I see beating North Carolina State last night in the
- 1:00:29Speaker 9: robbery game of the robbery the on Tobacco Road.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: So you know we we we're okay. I mean we hopeful,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: well make a run, we make the tournament, We'll be there,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: you think, so, yeah, we don't make a run? I
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: mean if not, you know, hey, no, I don't know
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: how you would have to tell.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: Me bad times.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: You know, I've been waiting on you. You know I've
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: been waiting on this bad times for us sports.
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: Hold on, Hold on one second, i'n let you get
- 1:00:59Speaker 8: to it. You've been waiting on me to do what.
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: Let you explain North Carolina now.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: I mean we can't. I can't explain North Carolina right now.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: I don't know myself right now as a fan. It's tough.
- 1:01:14Speaker 9: It's tough to watch Carolina. It's truly tough to watch.
- 1:01:19Speaker 9: It's really tough to watch. It was tough to watch
- 1:01:21Speaker 9: the game last night. I had to force myself to
- 1:01:24Speaker 9: watch the game. OKAYNY, go ahead.
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: Oh. I was just saying that I understood that one time.
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: I understood that philosophy because as you that as a
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: defense in court. Hey, I might be innocent, but you know,
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: we'll see.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: Hey.
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: Sad news coming in the Ball family. LeVar Ball I
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: had his foot amputated over the last couple of days
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: emergency surgery. LeVar Ball is the father of Alonzo Ball,
- 1:01:55Speaker 8: Leangelo Ball, and LaMelo Ball. Two of those young Two
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: of his sons are in the NBA. One of them
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: is a new artist in the hip hop genre. So,
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: but he had his only fifty seven years old and
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: had his foot amputated. I was trying to figure out
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: some connection, but they didn't say what or why the
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: disease or what he had for that to happen. I
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: didn't know if it was something in the same line
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: as Dion Sanders, coach, because at one point they were
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: considering removing his foot. I think they settled on like
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: three toes on Dion's foot, but I know at one
- 1:02:38Speaker 8: point they were thinking maybe they were going to have
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: to take his foot completely. So LeVar ball and that's
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: what I said. Young too, fifty seven years old, having
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: to have that happen. Brittany Griner had to flee her
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: Maryland hotel this past Monday. She was in Maryland for
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: speaking event. She found a piece of duct tape with
- 1:03:02Speaker 8: the words gay baby jail in her hotel room when
- 1:03:10Speaker 8: she went to it and decided to counsel everything and
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: leave out. Now, I haven't seen anything, command you. Have
- 1:03:16Speaker 8: you seen something to explain what the gay baby jail.
- 1:03:21Speaker 26: Is?
- 1:03:21Speaker 8: That some kind of black ops black cyber somewhere that
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: y'all talk in those codes? What does that actually mean? No,
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: I haven't seen anywhere what that actually means.
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: It's a witch's chant, gay baby jail, gay baby jail.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: Oh well, it's just a text learned that it meant.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: It's a video game reference gay baby jail. There is
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: a video game reference yeah or a yeah, an anime
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: or video game reference to what yeah to hurting her
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: to or was the name of a game.
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: It's not the name of a game, but it just says,
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: that's what it's referring to, that there may be something
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: that people gamers who play online, something that they say.
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: Well hopefully, because I was trying to figure out how that,
- 1:04:24Speaker 8: you know, could have been left for someone else. Either way,
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: I'm quite sure if you go to your hotel room
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: something is written, you might not cancel the speaking part
- 1:04:35Speaker 8: which you're going to ask for another room, or just
- 1:04:37Speaker 8: leave that whole time.
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: Yeah, was it on the mirror? Did she find it
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: in the trash can? Like where was this piece of
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: duct take? No, it was up against the wall. Okay.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: So I was just trying to figure out.
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: It was linked to and there was a gaming a
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: video game convention, you know, at the same hotel.
- 1:05:03Speaker 8: But so it could have been something left from that, yeah,
- 1:05:06Speaker 8: or someone thought that had the wrong room possibly, or
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: but she canceled her she canceled her speaking engagement, and
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: I got out of that hellteil all together.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: So and I'm what's the baby gay and should be
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: put in jail? What is the message?
- 1:05:29Speaker 9: It's a tumbler, It was a mean, it's created, it
- 1:05:33Speaker 9: was created, like Greg said, it's something from a game
- 1:05:37Speaker 9: from the gaming world. Okay, because I just read something
- 1:05:41Speaker 9: about the shrimp was too little.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Okay, let me already.
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: The Urban Dictionary it says when you get soft locked
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: in Super Mario sixty four, okay, getting stuck in a
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: spot that you can't move or escape from or and
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: then you have to quit the game.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Oh okay.
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: So it could have been something that was left over
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: from a convention, or it could have been just put
- 1:06:11Speaker 8: in the wrong room or something like that.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: It could have been.
- 1:06:17Speaker 8: And this is and not saying she overreacted. She has
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: the right to react the way she thought it was left.
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: I'm just saying, I mean, they're gonna have to do
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: an investigation. And it could be simply as somebody just
- 1:06:29Speaker 8: because we've gone. I know I've gone. When I do
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: color commentary work, you go into different booths, people on
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: the left, whatever game pieces of especially tape. When they
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: tape stuff the paper, they might ball and throw in
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: the trash, but when they've taped something down or tight,
- 1:06:48Speaker 8: and sometimes you have to remove that to.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: And not saying she's overreacting, Maybe I'm underreacting.
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying, Let's see, because you know,
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: I've had people to don't be here, check out, and
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: I still be there.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: You know, I'm maybe I ought to be more vigelant.
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: Coach Prime Dion Sanders. Something he does in recruiting is
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: he makes no recruiting trips. He doesn't go on any
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: recruiting trips. I was reading the story he doesn't go
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: to no home visits. Basically, if you want to be
- 1:07:29Speaker 8: on my team, my sales pitch will have to come from.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Colorado. Very interesting.
- 1:07:40Speaker 8: I never heard of coach until I read this article
- 1:07:42Speaker 8: that used that tactic to where there's no now. Head
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: coaches typically only go on a few where they actually come.
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: That doesn't mean his assistance aren't. Yeah, that's gonna say
- 1:07:55Speaker 8: most of the assistance. No head coaches come. But I'm
- 1:07:59Speaker 8: just saying that most I just thought I was saying, Well,
- 1:08:01Speaker 8: I didn't say most times I said assistants come. Head
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: coaches typically come for players that the assistants tell them
- 1:08:12Speaker 8: might need a little more swing.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Right, they're buying what I'm selling.
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: He saying trans am and a mobile home ain't enough.
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: Coach, you're gonna have to go give him some money
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: in his hand and the trans am and the moba home.
- 1:08:26Speaker 8: And I was thinking, your grandson, your grandson, your grandson,
- 1:08:34Speaker 8: COMANCHI Deon recruits them but won't come knock on the door.
- 1:08:41Speaker 8: How do you feel about that? Are we talking on
- 1:08:45Speaker 8: zoom or something? Is there some kind of communication with
- 1:08:50Speaker 8: him like on the phone?
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Is he gonna fly out?
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: No, no, fly us out or anything? But is there
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: some kind of community cation with him? Sure, that's fine.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: I mean we don't have to.
- 1:09:06Speaker 7: I always I look at if the if any of
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: the recruits are gonna take a visit, like it's okay,
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: we're down to like the final three or four schools,
- 1:09:20Speaker 7: so it's not like random. Uh, are we just going
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: just to go like we're serious? It's serious consideration, Big Kenny.
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: My grandson personally ain't going nowhere with nobody that's supposed
- 1:09:38Speaker 5: to be in charge of them, and they can't come
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: and see about them at the house.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Me and you need to understand insirt bad. Yeah, I'm
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: I'm with Greg.
- 1:09:47Speaker 9: If we could call because the assistant coach who's came
- 1:09:49Speaker 9: out there a few times, he's gonna be the one
- 1:09:51Speaker 9: that's into contact with that kid more than the head
- 1:09:55Speaker 9: coach anyway.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean I'll be fine with it. Okay, Well,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: I think this is something that is more of a
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: new tool.
- 1:10:07Speaker 8: That Kenny seems to be going by the old model,
- 1:10:10Speaker 8: which is very impactful that you thought enough, because sometimes
- 1:10:15Speaker 8: when you go on your recruiting trip to both parents
- 1:10:17Speaker 8: or one parent can't go, you're just on the recruiting
- 1:10:20Speaker 8: trip by yourself. And then you got away the idea
- 1:10:28Speaker 8: that Kirby Smart took the time to come knock on
- 1:10:31Speaker 8: my door ask me about my child.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Versus you didn't.
- 1:10:37Speaker 5: So you're giving up a lot of power now, and
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: I didn't. I didn't know who this I didn't know
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: who this assistant coach was. But Kirby Smart came to
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: the house. Now, he didn't spend but twelve minutes, but
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: that twelve minutes made me feel like he really genuinely
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: has interests.
- 1:10:54Speaker 8: You can't be my doctor from a virtual physical, no
- 1:11:00Speaker 8: show me where it hurts. So you people that and
- 1:11:02Speaker 8: it's the same difference I'm saying some people are to
- 1:11:04Speaker 8: work for. So I can't say Dionne is wrong. I'm saying,
- 1:11:08Speaker 8: but you can't be my virtual doctor. Some things I
- 1:11:13Speaker 8: need to see. So we'll be back more to Sports
- 1:11:16Speaker 8: Jock Show right after this.
- 1:11:19Speaker 5: I'll hold it with the forty pack and get my
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: progress up because this sacks big off.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: Don't get me back?
- 1:11:25Speaker 8: Why not clap liverpool ee tap ball back berocious causing

- 1:14:08Speaker 8: Welcome back to this shock shot, this spot shots wing
- 1:14:11Speaker 8: Gan d on the birthday today and going into the weekend.
- 1:14:15Speaker 8: One thing I will say about that coach prime thing,
- 1:14:18Speaker 8: so everybody understands there was no right or wrong answer.
- 1:14:22Speaker 8: It's just how you see life, what fills your boat,
- 1:14:27Speaker 8: what makes you rock and roll. That was one of
- 1:14:31Speaker 8: those things where Dion was wrong. As I use the
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: example of the doctor. I'm not gonna do it, but
- 1:14:38Speaker 8: I don't do virtual anything. If I call you for
- 1:14:41Speaker 8: a quote, you need to come see my yard. Yes,
- 1:14:45Speaker 8: I'm not about to send you pictures and any of that.
- 1:14:48Speaker 8: If you can't do that, then you're not the company
- 1:14:52Speaker 8: for me.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Period.
- 1:14:54Speaker 8: I need you to come see because if I was
- 1:14:57Speaker 8: an expert on what I'm telling you, I probably wouldn't
- 1:15:00Speaker 8: need to call you. So you'll get trying to get
- 1:15:03Speaker 8: me to tell you how many feet one pipe is
- 1:15:07Speaker 8: away from the other.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: That's not on me. So you basically want me to
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: do your.
- 1:15:12Speaker 8: Job right right, And then oh, you didn't say it
- 1:15:17Speaker 8: was a quarter inch. You said it was I, Hey man,
- 1:15:20Speaker 8: I'm just telling you the one thing I saw. Now
- 1:15:22Speaker 8: you're trying to I need you to see. You know,
- 1:15:27Speaker 8: you go to I went up to the Ford Dealership
- 1:15:29Speaker 8: for something. My tailgate was locked and I couldn't figure
- 1:15:33Speaker 8: out why, and it never been locked. I go up
- 1:15:36Speaker 8: to Ford Dealership and because the people that are taking
- 1:15:41Speaker 8: the appointments are not mechanics, they're like, want to give
- 1:15:46Speaker 8: you a date, Oh, come back this day, give you
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: a schedule.
- 1:15:50Speaker 30: Right.
- 1:15:51Speaker 8: Nobody went back there to see if they could get
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: the tailgate open. So I go to the body park,
- 1:16:00Speaker 8: body parts, that painting all that. I was saying, you
- 1:16:03Speaker 8: know what, forget that appointment, let me see this might
- 1:16:05Speaker 8: be something simple. He went over there, but the key
- 1:16:08Speaker 8: said it was locked. You got to leave it here
- 1:16:09Speaker 8: and then open it. So there was nothing broke. But
- 1:16:13Speaker 8: Ford wanted me to bring the truck back. They were
- 1:16:15Speaker 8: going to take the gate off the truck. Yes, and
- 1:16:20Speaker 8: nobody touched the truck. How do you know something's wrong
- 1:16:24Speaker 8: with something you haven't touched. And that's all I'm saying.
- 1:16:29Speaker 8: Some people are cool with that. They're cool with somebody
- 1:16:33Speaker 8: else picking up their cucumbers and watermelons and stuff like that,
- 1:16:36Speaker 8: I don't want my food delivered.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: I don't want my food delivered, but some people are
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: that don't make you wrong in me right. It's the
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: same thing with Dion. I don't know.
- 1:16:46Speaker 8: I might want to go to Colorado, but if the
- 1:16:50Speaker 8: coach at Georgia or Ohio State, those guys feel enough
- 1:16:56Speaker 8: for me to come knock on my door, they have
- 1:16:59Speaker 8: won me over more than that must be the money
- 1:17:02Speaker 8: video you sent me.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: And see and I think that.
- 1:17:06Speaker 9: Well, Diane hurting himself, but if he did say that,
- 1:17:08Speaker 9: he does that that may be a tool that other
- 1:17:11Speaker 9: coaches can usually go and say, hey, we're coming in,
- 1:17:13Speaker 9: we're now.
- 1:17:14Speaker 5: And I think for me, one of the biggest red
- 1:17:19Speaker 5: flags with a Dion saying this is it could easibly
- 1:17:24Speaker 5: easily be misconstrued as him feeling like he's far too
- 1:17:28Speaker 5: important to come somewhere to see your child, because that's
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: how he's been portraying himself in this light thus far.
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: So I think he has to be careful of optics

- 1:22:56Speaker 3: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 1:22:59Speaker 14: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:23:02Speaker 14: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:23:06Speaker 14: have life insurance.
- 1:23:07Speaker 31: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:23:09Speaker 31: just getting started with our family and thought, we live
- 1:23:11Speaker 31: forever life insurance.
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: What's the last thing on my mind? What about you?
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:23:17Speaker 31: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:23:19Speaker 31: bills piling up, I was worried how my family would
- 1:23:21Speaker 31: survive without me. That's what I'm made an appointment with
- 1:23:23Speaker 31: the insurance.
- 1:23:23Speaker 14: Informant Information gives you power and life insurance gives your
- 1:23:26Speaker 14: family security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:23:29Speaker 31: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:23:32Speaker 31: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:23:34Speaker 14: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:23:36Speaker 14: whether you earn a little or a lot, all you
- 1:23:38Speaker 14: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:23:41Speaker 14: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:23:44Speaker 14: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:23:49Speaker 14: Log on today benefits or bills?
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Dot com?
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: That's benefits or bills dot com.
- 1:23:56Speaker 30: Hurt in the game, we tough it out, feel exhaust
- 1:24:00Speaker 30: we push on, feeling down. We pull ourselves up by
- 1:24:05Speaker 30: the bootstraps. But there are times when bootstraps aren't enough,
- 1:24:09Speaker 30: when stress gets to us and we need to talk
- 1:24:11Speaker 30: to someone about what we're really going through. So we're
- 1:24:14Speaker 30: gonna reach out because sometimes mental health is not a

- 1:24:58Speaker 32: in the cup of going on out the ever. It
- 1:25:00Speaker 32: don't take much to please meet still home something but
- 1:25:02Speaker 32: satisfied like the songs and see them.
- 1:25:06Speaker 8: Welcome back to this what shock shot up this war shock?
- 1:25:08Speaker 8: Wayne le Kind Jason Kidd said Michael Jordan wouldn't be
- 1:25:14Speaker 8: relevant today if it weren't for his shoes. They would
- 1:25:21Speaker 8: not know who m J is. Kid thinks younger NBA
- 1:25:26Speaker 8: players would forget about MJ if it weren't for the air.
- 1:25:32Speaker 8: Jordan's great point, guys, great point, the interesting point, interesting point,
- 1:25:40Speaker 8: great point when he.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: When he said that because I know, because.
- 1:25:50Speaker 8: I didn't know the full story of Muhammad Ali. By
- 1:25:54Speaker 8: the time I was born, Muhammad Ali had changed his
- 1:25:58Speaker 8: name from Cassius Clay. He also had been suspended from boxing.
- 1:26:04Speaker 8: By the time I would have known to really see Ali.
- 1:26:08Speaker 8: And as I said, a lot of people liked to
- 1:26:10Speaker 8: grasp on the stuff they saw at six and seven,
- 1:26:13Speaker 8: and I weighed more of the things I saw at
- 1:26:16Speaker 8: twelve and thirteen to be more of me and mine
- 1:26:19Speaker 8: own two hours where I owned more than I would
- 1:26:22Speaker 8: trust my seven year old eyes, I trust my thirteen
- 1:26:26Speaker 8: twelve year old eyes. And by the time I was
- 1:26:28Speaker 8: that agent, mah Ali was fighting Larry Holmes, and so
- 1:26:35Speaker 8: the greatness of what people said Muhamad Ali was couldn't
- 1:26:38Speaker 8: have been great if that was all I saw. So
- 1:26:43Speaker 8: when I was playing with the Stillers, I remember going
- 1:26:46Speaker 8: and buying a Muhammad Ali a gift set of all the.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: DVDs to go back.
- 1:26:56Speaker 8: From day one of when he was born all the
- 1:27:00Speaker 8: way through his career to get caught up on a
- 1:27:03Speaker 8: historic figure. And I said all that to say it's
- 1:27:06Speaker 8: similar to what Jason Kidd is saying that basically.
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: The younger for the younger generation, they are just going
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: off of.
- 1:27:20Speaker 8: Hearsay, and the hearsay is kept alive because the shoe
- 1:27:28Speaker 8: is still the most dominant sports shoe, so it keeps
- 1:27:31Speaker 8: a history going on. But we have forgotten about the
- 1:27:35Speaker 8: wilt Chamberlains and the Bill Russell because we didn't get
- 1:27:38Speaker 8: to see those.
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: For our generation. So how much? And that's why I said,
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: someone like a what's his name at Man wasn't born.
- 1:27:53Speaker 8: Last time Michael Jordan played basketball, So anything that he
- 1:27:57Speaker 8: would credit Michael Jordan to be.
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: Would be more of something. Is that in his uncles
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: told him the Michael Jordan mythology.
- 1:28:08Speaker 8: The mythology of him, than it would be the person.
- 1:28:13Speaker 8: So how much of what my Jason Kidd is saying
- 1:28:19Speaker 8: really would you the percentage of why Michael Jordan is
- 1:28:24Speaker 8: still such a cultural icon.
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: Well, this would be my thing. I think that two
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: things can be true. I think that the shoe definitely
- 1:28:39Speaker 5: contributes to his current relevance in this zeitgeist, the what
- 1:28:46Speaker 5: is generation?
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: Which one are we on?
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: Now?
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: Alpha?
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: We're on generation alpha? So and generational. For when you
- 1:28:54Speaker 5: say the Jordan's, they know what you're talking about. They've
- 1:28:59Speaker 5: got a favorite Jordan. But in my opinion, he would
- 1:29:04Speaker 5: have had to have been an impactful player for that
- 1:29:09Speaker 5: shoe to carry any relevance in that every NBA player
- 1:29:15Speaker 5: at some time or another seems to have had a shoe,
- 1:29:18Speaker 5: and none of them have stuck some of the most
- 1:29:22Speaker 5: talked about household names Lebron's and Kobe's and Kd's and.
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: Russell Westbrooks.
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: None of these guys shoes are line up at five
- 1:29:34Speaker 5: in the morning, two days before the drop to get
- 1:29:37Speaker 5: the shoe.
- 1:29:38Speaker 8: So some and that's the Nike promotional wheel with the
- 1:29:42Speaker 8: first company to decide to put all ten toes down
- 1:29:46Speaker 8: behind athlete and a brand of a shoe.
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: It could be because it can't be the beautiful design
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: of the shoe. There's nothing special about the shoe in
- 1:29:58Speaker 5: its construction, there's nothing outstanding about the shoe in its
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: presentation as far as I'm concerned.
- 1:30:07Speaker 8: But that.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: That machine only goes behind a moving product.
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: I agree with Kenny. I think it's like a two
- 1:30:20Speaker 7: things can be true thing. While the shoe has transcended
- 1:30:27Speaker 7: the sport, like it's such a.
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: Shoe.
- 1:30:31Speaker 8: Without the shoe, would he just be Willie May's Hmmm.
- 1:30:38Speaker 8: I think that's what what Jason Kidd is.
- 1:30:40Speaker 7: As far as going beyond a generation, it would it
- 1:30:46Speaker 7: wouldn't have as much of an impact. So I do
- 1:30:49Speaker 7: agree with with that part because it would normally be
- 1:30:53Speaker 7: someone older who knows about Willie Mays but someone who
- 1:30:57Speaker 7: grew up watching Barry Bonds may not know about Willie
- 1:31:01Speaker 7: Mays as much. And there's not really that effort to
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: go back and do any research on any pass players.
- 1:31:09Speaker 7: There's not a whole lot of effort with that. So
- 1:31:12Speaker 7: and Jordan's the shoe does help. Yeah, it does help
- 1:31:15Speaker 7: bad producers.
- 1:31:16Speaker 9: I say the shoes thirty percent because I feel like
- 1:31:19Speaker 9: we were still knowing because.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: Like most of no, no, no, no, no, not we,
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: that's not who he's talking about. But I mean he's
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: talking about.
- 1:31:26Speaker 9: The younger generation because of he did play in college.
- 1:31:30Speaker 9: He did hit a game winning shot winning that's championship.
- 1:31:33Speaker 8: He was.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: He played, like I said, in the league, won championships.
- 1:31:38Speaker 9: Like I said, the shoe was thirty I think the
- 1:31:40Speaker 9: shoe was thirty percent of if you do a percentage,
- 1:31:43Speaker 9: like we said the breakdown, it's the shoe give thirty
- 1:31:46Speaker 9: percent up there.
- 1:31:48Speaker 8: Yeah, And I thought it was a great point because
- 1:31:50Speaker 8: I started thinking of great players and that. And that's
- 1:31:55Speaker 8: so I even here on the show, I'm always one
- 1:31:57Speaker 8: of them. I try to make sure I can't say
- 1:31:59Speaker 8: I'm on hundred percent always do it, but I always
- 1:32:01Speaker 8: try to make sure I say the greatest player that
- 1:32:04Speaker 8: I've seen, because what I have learned is.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: When somebody, especially older than you.
- 1:32:12Speaker 8: Watched, you're trying to tell them something that you didn't
- 1:32:16Speaker 8: see right and discredited. So I never got to see
- 1:32:22Speaker 8: Bill Russell, and just looking at the numbers don't always
- 1:32:29Speaker 8: tell the story, because that's the next thing. I look
- 1:32:33Speaker 8: at the numbers, It's like, but well, Chamblin's go one
- 1:32:35Speaker 8: hundred points in the game. I didn't get to really
- 1:32:39Speaker 8: see that. So I think what Jason Kidd is saying,
- 1:32:42Speaker 8: Michael Jordan has been gone two generations now, as you're saying, yeah,
- 1:32:47Speaker 8: and if they if they didn't.
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: Have a shoe? What we have been passing down? Because
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: I kept thinking about that knowledge that the.
- 1:32:57Speaker 5: Jordan enthusiasts bres and grows the next generation of Jordan
- 1:33:04Speaker 5: enthusiasts because they grow up watching their brothers and fathers
- 1:33:08Speaker 5: and uncles crave these shoes and it automatically becomes a
- 1:33:12Speaker 5: thing for them.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: Before it was business though, I mean it was a
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: great business model. What he is like John Madden, Yes, yeah,
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: John Madden became an icon. He's doing more for the video.
- 1:33:23Speaker 8: Game than he does for a commentator or be the
- 1:33:28Speaker 8: coach or or player right, perfect example. But the Madden
- 1:33:33Speaker 8: game keeps him forever. No, yes, through the generations to wherever.
- 1:33:42Speaker 8: Like we said, your grandson could be he grandpa, let
- 1:33:45Speaker 8: me get you're gonna give you.
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: That Madden game. Now he's never heard John May.
- 1:33:49Speaker 5: You need to tell me who the grandson asked, you're
- 1:33:52Speaker 5: gonna give me that Madden and the grandfather.
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: On some boy, you don't want these sticks gonna sit down?
- 1:33:56Speaker 17: Right?
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: You don't want I got Dallas you mean because they're
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: still into it that day. Yeah.
- 1:34:02Speaker 8: Yeah, And I think with Jason Kidd, that's why I
- 1:34:05Speaker 8: said he wasn't saying it in a one of those
- 1:34:08Speaker 8: put put Michael down or something. He was saying the
- 1:34:12Speaker 8: shoe has passed Michael through. He's one of the few
- 1:34:16Speaker 8: athletes that something has been was hitched to and his
- 1:34:21Speaker 8: shoe was so dynamic and dominant. His shoe is so
- 1:34:24Speaker 8: dominant that really Nike, between the Jordan and the Air
- 1:34:28Speaker 8: Force one, those other shoes that they make are.
- 1:34:31Speaker 5: Just kind of ways to get deals with it. Yeah,
- 1:34:37Speaker 5: but those are their two number one pushers, that's.
- 1:34:39Speaker 9: What they but you know, he but but Mike did
- 1:34:43Speaker 9: bring a skill set and something totally different, just like
- 1:34:47Speaker 9: at that point in time, and you now a lot
- 1:34:51Speaker 9: of players wanted to it.
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: Could you can say, is it the shoes? Well? Was
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: it the shoes that like the commercial well that Spike
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: Lee had, but you know it was more so his
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: skill set.
- 1:35:01Speaker 5: One of our new online listeners, Elder Casey Lamar Huey Sr.
- 1:35:06Speaker 5: Has said that he's got on some Jay's right now
- 1:35:09Speaker 5: and he said he wanted to be like Mike because
- 1:35:12Speaker 5: of his skills, not because of the shoes.
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: They were just the icing on the cake.
- 1:35:16Speaker 5: He also mentioned that you can't knock the the five
- 1:35:20Speaker 5: six rings that Mike has had, so a love Kareem
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: got six six rings and those are the things that
- 1:35:26Speaker 5: I keep saying. When you put Mike's numbers next to
- 1:35:29Speaker 5: another iconic players, they match up. But Mike's legend is
- 1:35:36Speaker 5: steal up here with the shoes because again, that shoe
- 1:35:41Speaker 5: and that marketing just move. It's to the point you
- 1:35:45Speaker 5: don't even have to advertise them anymore.
- 1:35:46Speaker 8: And things carry you, you know if you can get
- 1:35:50Speaker 8: especially if it's your like what's the what's the Babe
- 1:35:54Speaker 8: Ruth bar or the baby roof? You know that carried
- 1:35:58Speaker 8: his name long time when that that was on top. Yeah,
- 1:36:04Speaker 8: and certain things can do that regardless, And I think
- 1:36:08Speaker 8: that's what he's not minimizing the skill.
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: You got to have the skill for somebody to want
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: to give you a shoe.
- 1:36:13Speaker 7: Yeah, it's it's a device that where we the younger
- 1:36:20Speaker 7: generations are are reminded. It's a way for people to
- 1:36:25Speaker 7: be reminded. And even if you never saw him at whatever,
- 1:36:30Speaker 7: whatever you see now, whatever you think is great, now
- 1:36:33Speaker 7: it's going to be compared to him, and it's just
- 1:36:36Speaker 7: a reminder.
- 1:36:37Speaker 9: And then the same elder said, I get the point,
- 1:36:39Speaker 9: but that's like forgetting who Bruce Lee is.
- 1:36:42Speaker 5: I mean whether well and again, you had to have
- 1:36:46Speaker 5: seen Bruce Lee to appreciate that, to appreciate that that
- 1:36:50Speaker 5: he's unforgettable.
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: Put it in.
- 1:36:54Speaker 8: Yeah, but I don't know that a twenty two year
- 1:36:56Speaker 8: old really it's all that invested in a Bruce Lee
- 1:37:00Speaker 8: unless you down came along with and started listening to
- 1:37:03Speaker 8: Wu Tang.
- 1:37:04Speaker 9: But but Bruce Lee got popular game if you got
- 1:37:07Speaker 9: to listen in the Woo Tang and hearing the old karate.

- 1:39:41Speaker 1: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy.
- 1:40:05Speaker 27: Long say you can see a sports jain't I'll sing even.
- 1:40:12Speaker 8: Welcome back to this by Shock telling him this boy
- 1:40:14Speaker 8: shuck Wayne again, did good morning to you. A great
- 1:40:18Speaker 8: conversation we just had about, uh, the comments by Jason
- 1:40:22Speaker 8: Kidd about Michael Jordan and his shoe, saying how the
- 1:40:28Speaker 8: shoe is what has kept Michael Jordan's so relevant to
- 1:40:32Speaker 8: the new generation and how time can pass and things
- 1:40:37Speaker 8: and feats do fall to the wayside, But with the
- 1:40:42Speaker 8: Jordan's shoe still being as popular as any sports sneaker,
- 1:40:48Speaker 8: really any shoe on the planet, it kind of just
- 1:40:51Speaker 8: is almost and like the Mount Rushmore of He's already
- 1:41:00Speaker 8: had it kind of thing, you know how, mister Blank,
- 1:41:04Speaker 8: Actor Blank just built the Actor Blank High Hospital, Children's Hospital.
- 1:41:09Speaker 8: Billionaires throughout history, Pharaoh who's King's I've always tried to
- 1:41:19Speaker 8: build monuments that will will stand and be passed down
- 1:41:24Speaker 8: and you'll be talking about even when I'm gone.
- 1:41:29Speaker 23: You know.
- 1:41:30Speaker 8: It's why it's always been an honor to get something
- 1:41:32Speaker 8: named after you. It's just with Michael Jordan, there's already
- 1:41:36Speaker 8: something that even forty years after it was made and
- 1:41:40Speaker 8: twenty two, twenty three years after he's retired, it keeps
- 1:41:45Speaker 8: his name instantly in a comparison. That's what I used
- 1:41:50Speaker 8: to always say. Even with Lebron, they never compared Lebron
- 1:41:57Speaker 8: even to just Kobe, who was more of the same generation.
- 1:42:01Speaker 8: It was always Lebron to Michael and then it was Kobe,
- 1:42:07Speaker 8: but it was never just you supposed to compare people
- 1:42:10Speaker 8: of the same time. They would go back to Michael
- 1:42:13Speaker 8: Jordan and it was, well, Lebron live up to what
- 1:42:16Speaker 8: Michael Jordan does, you know? And some of it, I
- 1:42:20Speaker 8: guess for Jason Kidd, who played point guard and has
- 1:42:23Speaker 8: been in the NBA for thirty years now as a
- 1:42:27Speaker 8: player and a coach, just saying that it's something to
- 1:42:31Speaker 8: really think.
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: And that's no knock against Mike's skill set and game.
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: It just was. It was extraordinary to see what this
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: man could do. He was really Mike came along at
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: the right time.
- 1:42:46Speaker 8: You talk him how the NBA at Magic and Bird
- 1:42:49Speaker 8: had just revived through their rivalry. Doctor j had kind
- 1:42:55Speaker 8: of that athletic had passed away, and Mike was just
- 1:43:00Speaker 8: the perfect storm of common man.
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: He wasn't too.
- 1:43:04Speaker 5: Tall, he want too much side in, he was pro
- 1:43:10Speaker 5: He was the proto type for sports blending with entertainment
- 1:43:15Speaker 5: like that first man. This dude's more than just the game.
- 1:43:19Speaker 5: Do you think that Mike ever gets tired of hearing
- 1:43:24Speaker 5: his name come out of people's mouth? Like I was
- 1:43:26Speaker 5: just shooting ball and every time I turned around while
- 1:43:28Speaker 5: you don't see, y'all, I got something to say about Mike's.
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: All the way you got something to hit.
- 1:43:33Speaker 5: Now you're talking about Mike's shoe and how if it
- 1:43:36Speaker 5: hadn't been for mike shoe, Mike wouldn't still be Mike.
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: Why y'all always just thinking about donate some money? You
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: mad at Mike? I don't donate money. You mad at Mike.
- 1:43:46Speaker 8: I think with Jason probably coaching, he may do like
- 1:43:51Speaker 8: you and the bad producer just said off air that
- 1:43:57Speaker 8: y'all do tests. He's probably sitting there with some young
- 1:44:00Speaker 8: players testing that knowledge. They say Jordan or something like that.
- 1:44:04Speaker 8: But when he asked him about him, they, you know what,
- 1:44:09Speaker 8: further than he could ask him say, well, you know
- 1:44:11Speaker 8: what air Jordan come from? I don't know just Air
- 1:44:13Speaker 8: Jordan's just a brand. They don't even know it's Michael Jordan.
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: Is Eric Joel. And I've said on it since we've
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: been on air as a unit.
- 1:44:21Speaker 8: Like I remember my daughter was maybe twelve thirteen ish
- 1:44:25Speaker 8: in there, and I always keep it on the old
- 1:44:28Speaker 8: hip hop station when I'm in the car with her,
- 1:44:32Speaker 8: rocked the bales and just driving and learning. She knew
- 1:44:40Speaker 8: who Will Smith was, but she didn't know that Will
- 1:44:45Speaker 8: Smith was a rapper. And she knew who Queen Latifa was,
- 1:44:52Speaker 8: but she didn't know Queen Latifa.
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: Who calling up you n ninety never heard.
- 1:44:59Speaker 8: That because she by the time she's born and she
- 1:45:02Speaker 8: comes to knowledge of their names, they're not those people.
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: Anymore anymore, the movie stars TV.
- 1:45:09Speaker 8: So it's the same kind of to be able a
- 1:45:12Speaker 8: twenty year old has not unless they've gone and looked
- 1:45:15Speaker 8: at some clips.
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: They don't know really, Mike.
- 1:45:18Speaker 9: They just know Mic on the golf course all the time,
- 1:45:20Speaker 9: smoking nice Cuban cigars.
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: And I was about to say, I don't know that, Mike.
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: Don't let them see none of that.
- 1:45:28Speaker 9: Don't know it was just and they just found out
- 1:45:30Speaker 9: that he had a son because he said Michael Jordan, my.
- 1:45:32Speaker 8: Daddy, you has spec excuse me, you has sports betting
- 1:45:38Speaker 8: industry posted thirteen point seven billion in revenue that man
- 1:45:46Speaker 8: was making for twenty twenty four, so bad producer probably
- 1:45:51Speaker 8: gave him how much of that? How much was the
- 1:45:54Speaker 8: total now thirteen point seven billion?
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: I probably gave them about twenty list.
- 1:46:02Speaker 9: We're talking about in lifetime, been lifetime, not in year
- 1:46:09Speaker 9: twenty g in a lifetime I scratch off.
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: And sitting down playing poker and just more.
- 1:46:17Speaker 8: When I saw this, I was like, this is the
- 1:46:19Speaker 8: information the guy for draft kings to start getting.
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just saying, you know, a little gambling.
- 1:46:29Speaker 8: I mean for y'all to be thinking this is because
- 1:46:31Speaker 8: these kind of numbers, it makes you think, y'all think
- 1:46:34Speaker 8: this is a business.
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: That's for the year, that's for the year. This is
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: this is my this is why this is why we won't.
- 1:46:42Speaker 5: I got I got employees. There's a brick and mortar building.
- 1:46:46Speaker 5: That's why I said I'm not I'm not. Look, I'm
- 1:46:48Speaker 5: not in that carricter. I probably in my lifetime, I
- 1:46:51Speaker 5: probably been at twenty that. That's from everything from golf
- 1:46:54Speaker 5: to scratch off. Thirteen points. That's lifetime that's why we
- 1:46:58Speaker 5: want to eliminate halftime. That's why we're gonna keep half
- 1:47:02Speaker 5: so we can run those commercials and we could tell
- 1:47:04Speaker 5: you I'm a sponsor response if you lose.
- 1:47:09Speaker 9: The first half, you could put that second half back
- 1:47:11Speaker 9: head to recoup your money.
- 1:47:14Speaker 18: George Spot Jock Show right after this, Don't Go Away
- 1:47:37Speaker 18: board of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Daan.
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: Videos coming up next.
- 1:47:41Speaker 3: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 1:47:44Speaker 14: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:47:47Speaker 14: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:47:51Speaker 14: have life insurance.
- 1:47:52Speaker 31: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:47:54Speaker 31: just getting started with our family and thought we lived
- 1:47:56Speaker 31: forever life insurance.
- 1:47:57Speaker 3: What's the last thing on my mind? What about you?
- 1:47:59Speaker 3: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:48:02Speaker 31: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:48:04Speaker 31: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:48:06Speaker 31: survive without me. That's what I'm made an appointment with
- 1:48:08Speaker 31: the insurance informant.
- 1:48:09Speaker 14: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:48:12Speaker 14: security no matter what stage of life you're in.

- 1:48:17Speaker 18: leave my family with bills or benefits.

- 1:49:47Speaker 1: And now back to the sports giant Wayne Gandy. Now
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: it's time for a school board.
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: Can we put a spin on life.
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: And sports and how they intermingle On the Sports Jack
- 1:50:02Speaker 2: Show with Wayne Dandy, make.
- 1:50:24Speaker 8: This boy shock Show. The Great Kyrie Irvin of the
- 1:50:27Speaker 8: Dollars Maverick says he wants to play for a team Australia.
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: Uh in the Lampics. I'll be surprised if Kyrie will.
- 1:50:37Speaker 8: He could still retire and play for the l A team, right,
- 1:50:46Speaker 8: Kyrie just gives me like he could retire anything.
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: And still and still play in the Olympics. Yeah, and
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: he wants to play for Australia. Yeah, that's where he
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: was born. That's where he was born.
- 1:50:57Speaker 5: No, no, I'm saying that's where he was born in
- 1:51:00Speaker 5: and then he became an American win.
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: Well, he had, he will he has dual citizenship. Oh okay,
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: that makes sense.
- 1:51:07Speaker 5: Okay, Yeah, and as far as yeah, Kyrie could quit
- 1:51:12Speaker 5: in the middle of a game like he'd be playing
- 1:51:15Speaker 5: and get a layout and then just walk off the
- 1:51:18Speaker 5: court and the.
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: Olympics come around, even he'll be what thirty six.
- 1:51:24Speaker 5: Which which sounds crazy to be mentioned it like that
- 1:51:28Speaker 5: some sort of age I'm about for basket, Yeah, for basketball. Yeah,
- 1:51:32Speaker 5: that's the that's the flea that comes with that dog.
- 1:51:35Speaker 8: So that's what he would like to do in the
- 1:51:37Speaker 8: LA Olympics, which probably opened a lot of doors in
- 1:51:41Speaker 8: that country for him by doing it. As much as
- 1:51:44Speaker 8: Kyrie tries to throw that smoke in your face as
- 1:51:48Speaker 8: though he doesn't have a plan, these are strategic moves
- 1:51:54Speaker 8: by Kyrie. And why fight y'all over here for this
- 1:51:58Speaker 8: when I can go and be and the face of
- 1:52:00Speaker 8: a country.
- 1:52:01Speaker 5: And I believe that one of the one of the
- 1:52:05Speaker 5: wildest things to me is when people think that all
- 1:52:08Speaker 5: of this stuff is random, right, you think this man
- 1:52:13Speaker 5: just be waking up going with this stuff. All of
- 1:52:16Speaker 5: this is a plan.
- 1:52:17Speaker 8: Oscar Robinsson was not happy with Draymond Green comments a
- 1:52:23Speaker 8: couple of days ago the great Oscar Robinson. Draymond Green
- 1:52:27Speaker 8: was calling today's NBA boring, and Oscar Robinson says that
- 1:52:33Speaker 8: Draymond is welcome to his opinion, but Draymond says a
- 1:52:39Speaker 8: lot of things, and in his opinion, it's not. I
- 1:52:45Speaker 8: think Draymond has just gotten lost in the international game.
- 1:52:51Speaker 8: To me, I would imagine if we were sitting here
- 1:52:53Speaker 8: talking to him, the NBA has become more such and
- 1:52:56Speaker 8: more international spread all. It's almost like they've taken the
- 1:53:01Speaker 8: physicality like they're trying to do it football. We're going
- 1:53:04Speaker 8: to take the hitting out and make it all about
- 1:53:07Speaker 8: seven on seven. Well in a sense, and that's how
- 1:53:11Speaker 8: the game has become where it's it's just wide open.
- 1:53:14Speaker 8: That's somebody who I think the and that's Hornets or somebody.
- 1:53:17Speaker 8: Last night maybe the Lakers took like fifty three. Well,
- 1:53:21Speaker 8: and I would say, right now, that's what I mean,
- 1:53:27Speaker 8: that's what it has become. Like, nobody's coming to the paint.
- 1:53:29Speaker 8: There's no post up move. There's just this wide open
- 1:53:34Speaker 8: barely ever. And for a guy like him with that,
- 1:53:37Speaker 8: you know, he in the American style game was a
- 1:53:39Speaker 8: little more we bump each other and things like that.
- 1:53:43Speaker 5: Well, I'm saying, and for a great like an Oscar Robertson,
- 1:53:47Speaker 5: where would you say the excitement still exists, sir?
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: Where do you watch? Which game are you watching?
- 1:53:53Speaker 8: Well, I would say Oscar Robinson's game was the up
- 1:53:58Speaker 8: and down out on the edge.
- 1:54:00Speaker 1: It showed more like a steph game. He he was
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: that shooter.
- 1:54:03Speaker 8: It would fit his style more so where he wouldn't
- 1:54:07Speaker 8: find it before Draymond, who was talking for more of
- 1:54:09Speaker 8: a power forward.
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: That nineties Nicks that you can't come through the paint
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: without getting checked. You know, they let you elbow somebody.
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: None of that skin.
- 1:54:21Speaker 8: I'm not able to use any of those techniques. And
- 1:54:24Speaker 8: that's just like everybody stopping twenty eight feet from the gold.
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: And that laying Bro.
- 1:54:29Speaker 9: I had to help out fight you though, Bro, But
- 1:54:31Speaker 9: see in there, come down. But I just heard Draymond
- 1:54:37Speaker 9: just recently. He was talking about what made him go
- 1:54:39Speaker 9: to Michigan State. He was going to go to Michigan,
- 1:54:41Speaker 9: but when he went to play in a pickup game
- 1:54:44Speaker 9: with he was saying he was out there dogging the
- 1:54:46Speaker 9: boys at Michigan trash talking in their face, and nobody
- 1:54:49Speaker 9: saying anything back to him. And so he was like,
- 1:54:52Speaker 9: I can't go ahead and play with these guys if
- 1:54:54Speaker 9: they're if they let me, I'm not even on the
- 1:54:56Speaker 9: campus shit, and I'm acting a fool. But when he
- 1:54:59Speaker 9: went to Michigan State, everybody was in his face like
- 1:55:02Speaker 9: you can't talk like you can't. So he said he
- 1:55:04Speaker 9: knew that's where he had to be. So I do
- 1:55:06Speaker 9: understand where he thought about. He likes to get that
- 1:55:09Speaker 9: he ain't even even talking about.
- 1:55:11Speaker 8: He was saying, you know, one of the best things
- 1:55:13Speaker 8: he likes playing against Lebron is Lebron is kind of
- 1:55:18Speaker 8: playing the old school just gym game, the outsmart you
- 1:55:21Speaker 8: game right a lot. But the game today is just
- 1:55:25Speaker 8: get to the three point line to shoot.
- 1:55:26Speaker 5: There is nobody all four plays, then just four guys
- 1:55:32Speaker 5: on the line, and whoever bring the ball up, you
- 1:55:34Speaker 5: find out who opened.
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: One more pass, one more pass. You hear the coaches
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: one more pass, one more pass.
- 1:55:38Speaker 8: There is no set play that outsmarts you and catches
- 1:55:41Speaker 8: you turning with your back.
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: There's none of that going on.
- 1:55:45Speaker 5: But but when you shoot that three pointer, when you
- 1:55:49Speaker 5: get on that line, that camera catches that gambo responsibly
- 1:55:55Speaker 5: logo on the floor, that responsibly, and that's all the
- 1:55:59Speaker 5: part of right.
- 1:56:01Speaker 1: That's three pointers.
- 1:56:03Speaker 8: And federal prosecutors have charged seven members of a South
- 1:56:06Speaker 8: American crime king that allegedly broke into the homes of
- 1:56:10Speaker 8: Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and several other top athletes across
- 1:56:14Speaker 8: the U as guys like Joe Burrow Luka Dunkag also
- 1:56:20Speaker 8: were targeted.
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: They feel like it was.
- 1:56:25Speaker 8: Seven illegal immigrants from a Chilean deaf group stealing valuables
- 1:56:34Speaker 8: worth more than two million, and a series of high profiles.
- 1:56:39Speaker 8: So they're down in Tampa, Florida and they got caught
- 1:56:44Speaker 8: doing the same thing. Twenty two, twenty three, twenty four
- 1:56:50Speaker 8: one is thirty eight. It found guilty. The men face
- 1:56:55Speaker 8: up to ten years in prison.
- 1:56:57Speaker 5: And it's the same way they used to catch the
- 1:56:59Speaker 5: King King back in the eighties. They raided the house
- 1:57:02Speaker 5: and find all the polaroid pictures of them with the
- 1:57:04Speaker 5: money and the drugs, and they'd be like, this is
- 1:57:07Speaker 5: evidence right here. And these dudes all over social media
- 1:57:11Speaker 5: with uh, what's his name, portois port Bobby Porters's watches.
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: They got a necklace that.
- 1:57:19Speaker 5: Says Bobby Porters and they wearing it, taking pictures throwing
- 1:57:22Speaker 5: up the peace sign.
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: And nah, they didn't. They didn't recover any of us.
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: They yea on this camera they do ezell So looks
- 1:57:35Speaker 1: like they have a case on them. Yeah.
- 1:57:37Speaker 8: Human usually the film, that's what they call irrefutable. I
- 1:57:41Speaker 8: guess the biggest question will be will they be deported?
- 1:57:45Speaker 5: Oh?
- 1:57:45Speaker 1: Yeah, they serve their time. Yeah, they got to do
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: the time first. Will they get a quick flight on
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: out back to Chili? Y'all could have used the instamatic
- 1:57:54Speaker 1: camera though, and we are in notion.
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: Truth is he will throw you in the ocean.
- 1:58:03Speaker 2: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Judge
- 1:58:06Speaker 2: Show with Wayne Ginny, we.
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: Hear the sounds of other figures. The Smart Shock test
- 1:58:31Speaker 1: a minute event.

- 1:58:58Speaker 8: Apple podcast, as Audible, Deserve, Spotify, or iHeartRadio and catch
- 1:59:05Speaker 8: the replay. Last week we were talking about this. We
- 1:59:10Speaker 8: thought it might be alcohol. We thought it might be
- 1:59:13Speaker 8: an old the flame, somebody had slept with somebody white.
- 1:59:19Speaker 8: And we discounted what most crime schemes and people's.
- 1:59:28Speaker 1: Issues are.
- 1:59:30Speaker 8: In this country that will make them act of foods,
- 1:59:36Speaker 8: good old fashioned money. Patrick Mahomes Sea and John Rocker
- 1:59:42Speaker 8: remember that little skirmish they were supposed to have had
- 1:59:46Speaker 8: down in New Orleans that we were trying to frame
- 1:59:49Speaker 8: up of why maybe they had cross paths as pictures
- 1:59:53Speaker 8: at some point.
- 1:59:56Speaker 1: It was simple.
- 1:59:59Speaker 8: They were staging fight for barstool Sports, UH, to promote
- 2:00:08Speaker 8: a fight later in this year. It was simple.
- 2:00:11Speaker 1: It was just greed, you know, trying two guys that
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: lost a lot of money on the cocaine trade. But
- 2:00:19Speaker 1: they haven't. We all we all DUIs and in court.
- 2:00:26Speaker 8: Cases it happens they've lost a lot of money they
- 2:00:29Speaker 8: were trying to recoup UH celebrity boxing matches they set
- 2:00:33Speaker 8: to take place in April they were promoting, and so
- 2:00:39Speaker 8: they staged the fight down during the Super Bowl.
- 2:00:43Speaker 1: And that's it. So Patrick Mahomes Senior and John Rocker.
- 2:00:49Speaker 3: Walked up clank.
- 2:00:53Speaker 5: For the love of money. Hey, command to Greg God,
- 2:01:03Speaker 5: you act like you want a piece of me, home boy.
- 2:01:06Speaker 5: And you know John Rock's actually a good guy. Played
- 2:01:08Speaker 5: golf with him.
- 2:01:09Speaker 8: Is he a good guy if he out that faking?
- 2:01:12Speaker 8: Because you are what you do, not just talking about
- 2:01:15Speaker 8: on the gold he had no good guy you want
- 2:01:17Speaker 8: to be? Did he go right on all the rest
- 2:01:19Speaker 8: of the players he played with one of the one
- 2:01:21Speaker 8: of them guys. He didn't do this, he did he
- 2:01:23Speaker 8: was sleeping with their wives. He was telling everybody. Along
- 2:01:26Speaker 8: with the cocaine and the alcohol and the choking the
- 2:01:29Speaker 8: wife and all that kind of stuff.
- 2:01:31Speaker 1: He was a sight that day.
- 2:01:32Speaker 8: We played with yeah, yeah, saving a cookie your meal too.
- 2:01:40Speaker 8: From the spots down show. As we said on Thursday,
- 2:01:43Speaker 8: we'll see you in the future.
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: Peace. But we didn't all chunk the wife. Am I right?
