  Hi, my name is Precia Mosley. I've been speaking out for a

  number of years about the harms of medical transition and it's

  been a few years now. ID transitioned in mid to late

  2022. I sued my doctors in 2023 and

  I'm still fighting for justice to hold them accountable and
• 0:21
  I've just been trying to live as normal of a life as I can post D
• 0:26
  transition as possible but I just wanted to talk about some
• 0:30
  of how irreversible the medicalization is even years
• 0:33
  later because I'm still dealing with a lot of side effects.
• 0:38
  I've been able to have some hair regrowth, but I have to be on
• 0:41
  minoxidil and do hair treatments and stuff for the rest of my
• 0:45
  life to keep back what I have grown back, which isn't too
• 0:48
  much, but it's better than it used to be and I am grateful for
• 0:52
  that. I still need laser hair removal
• 0:54
  treatment even now that a few years have passed and the public
• 0:59
  knows more about the transitioners.

  I'm still not getting coverage for things like that or the
• 1:04
  hormones I need, but I still have to shave my face every time
• 1:07
  I take a shower. I have had children now, a
• 1:12
  child. I've been able to give birth
• 1:15
  because I was not on puberty blockers after being given
• 1:20
  fertility treatments and dealing with that.
• 1:22
  But, you know, detransition effects motherhood.

  I didn't think when I was 17 years old that I would ever want
• 1:31
  to be a mother or feel healthy or strong or safe enough.
• 1:34
  And my doctors never considered it when they cut my breasts off
• 1:38
  when I was just a teenager and I didn't know better.

  And all for a scam, a lie, a transition that didn't even
• 1:46
  work. I'm also having to get blood
• 1:49
  work a lot because my hormones continue to be dysregulated.
• 1:53
  I still have high androgens even years after stopping the
• 1:57
  testosterone shots and all the effects that come with that
• 2:00
  including PCOS, insulin resistance.

  My liver is twice the size it's supposed to be.
• 2:05
  I've had non alcoholic fatty liver disease since I was 19 or
• 2:09
  20 years old. The list of side effects goes on
• 2:12
  and on. And like I said, it affects
• 2:16
  being a mother, it affects the child that I was able to have
• 2:20
  and everything else. And these effects just haven't
• 2:24
  gone away. And on top of that, there aren't
• 2:27
  doctors or research or anyone to help D transitioners after the
• 2:31
  fact because everything that happened to me, from the
• 2:34
  testosterone injections to the double mastectomy and changing
• 2:37
  my name and everything, it was all a giant experiment.
• 2:40
  A medical experiment that ultimately failed because I
• 2:44
  didn't turn into a man. And now, 10 years down the line,
• 2:47
  I'm a woman with numerous health conditions who doesn't believe
• 2:52
  that she's trans or hate herself anymore.
• 2:55
  And I'm dealing with side effects and health issues that I
• 2:58
  never would have had to deal with in the 1st place if my
• 3:00
  doctors had never validated these beliefs that I had when I
• 3:05
  hated myself and I needed guidance.

  I really wish my doctors would have just sat down and told me
• 3:11
  the truth. I wish they would have told me
• 3:13
  that I would be having to go get blood work and being attached to
• 3:17
  the pharmacy and taking hormones and prescriptions and bone
• 3:20
  density tests and MRI's and surgery and everything else for
• 3:24
  the rest of my life just because of these beliefs I had.
• 3:27
  I wish that they had told me the truth.
• 3:29
  I wish they hadn't threatened me with lies and made me feel like
• 3:33
  I had no other option but to transition or die.
• 3:36
  But my doctors weren't honest with me and so I'm dealing with
• 3:38
  the consequences and so is my family.
• 3:41
  Hopefully doctors stop prescribing these treatments to
• 3:43
  young people or anyone soon and other doctors, ethical doctors
• 3:48
  learn how to deal with the damage.
