- 0:22Sean McAllister: And it's right here in Vegas.
- 0:23Sean McAllister: Plus, the results of our weekly poll.
- 0:26Sean McAllister: Let's get to it.
- 0:27Sean McAllister: Spin the wheel.
- 0:32Sean McAllister: Let's go to Vegas, baby.
- 0:34Sean McAllister: Let's go tonight.
- 0:40unknown: Let's go to Vegas.
- 0:41Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed.
- 0:43Sean McAllister: This is gonna be an absolutely packed show.
- 0:45Sean McAllister: There's so much to talk about, and we're glad that you're here with us.
- 0:49Sean McAllister: I'm Sean McAllister.
- 0:50Dayna Roselli: And I'm Dana Roselli.
- 0:51Dayna Roselli: I know I'm kind of stressed about it.
- 0:53Dayna Roselli: I keep thinking of more things in my head going through the list.
- 0:55Dayna Roselli: Like, we gotta talk about that.
- 0:56Dayna Roselli: We gotta talk about that.
- 0:57Dayna Roselli: But anyway, we're back from Spring Grave.
- 0:59Dayna Roselli: We took a one-week little hiatus.
- 1:01Dayna Roselli: You had a good time in San Diego, right?
- 1:03Sean McAllister: Yeah, had a great time.
- 1:04Sean McAllister: San Diego is just so oh, it's it's perfect.
- 1:08Sean McAllister: The temperature, the beach, the little neighborhoods, it's great.
- 1:12Sean McAllister: We stayed in Little Italy, and let me tell you, it was just as uh California was allowing you know indoor dining to resume.
- 1:22Sean McAllister: They had just opened it up about a week or so before, but man, talk about the demand.
- 1:28Sean McAllister: People were out in full force just packing the streets, especially on the weekend nights, to get into these hot spots.
- 1:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you were saying you forget what an easy drive it is from Las Vegas, like a quick little, you know, long weekend beach trip.
- 1:42Dayna Roselli: Why not?
- 1:42Sean McAllister: It really is.
- 1:43Sean McAllister: And we had a little uh Airbnb, just this one-bedroom little cottage, so we had it all to ourselves, and you know, it it really is just an incredible getaway, a few hours uh from Las Vegas down to Southern California, and it it was great.
- 1:59Dayna Roselli: Good.
- 1:59Dayna Roselli: We're glad you had fun.
- 2:01Dayna Roselli: I I stayed here, I got a lot done though, things I've been meaning to do, you know.
- 2:04Dayna Roselli: I like got the interior of the car cleaned out and we did a little shopping for clothes for spring and summer.
- 2:10Dayna Roselli: So it was fun, it was good.
- 2:12Dayna Roselli: But we're back and we've got a whole list of stuff to talk about.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: In fact, last night we went to the Sahara to get some updates on what's going on over there.
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: And if folks don't know, you may remember it was the SLS after it was the Sahara, and then now it's Sahara Las Vegas, and they've made a lot of changes.
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: When we walked in, both of us were shocked to see the differences from what it looked like before.
- 2:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, they have, I mean, really done a great job of kind of bringing that vintage Vegas feel back to the Sahara, which is a classic Las Vegas property with tons of history, and it now has that old school vibe with a modern twist to it again.
- 2:50Sean McAllister: So it has the nostalgia when you walk in there, but uh they're redoing the pool, they're adding a ton of new restaurants, there's nightlife, and Magic Mike Live is opening at the Sahara starting in August, and yeah, they were uh last night making uh a bunch of announcements in regard to all the new things that are happening over there.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and Magic Mike was at the Hard Rock, and they're moving, you know, to the Sahara.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: And I know the Sahara's super excited to have them.
- 3:19Dayna Roselli: They're creating a theater for them and everything's moving forward.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, there was a little, you know, preview last night, and I knew there were I had a feeling there was gonna be a little treat at the end, and it was a little Magic Mike preview.
- 3:29Dayna Roselli: So it was really like, you know, nice to like kick up the springtime post-COVID vibes.
- 3:36Sean McAllister: So it was a good poolside event.
- 3:38Sean McAllister: It was.
- 3:39Sean McAllister: Uh the restaurants they announced were uh Chicky and Pete's, which is, I guess, a Philadelphia restaurant.
- 3:45Sean McAllister: Um there is uh Bello, which is an Italian spot by chef Sean McLean, and also the Noodle Den, which is gonna be a great establishment there, right on, they're calling it Restaurant Row.
- 4:00Sean McAllister: I believe it's where uh the beer garden was.
- 4:02Sean McAllister: Yes, the stripside.
- 4:03Sean McAllister: Stripside right uh along Las Vegas Boulevard there.
- 4:07Sean McAllister: We had someone on Twitter ask us, where are these restaurants going?
- 4:10Sean McAllister: What are they replacing?
- 4:11Sean McAllister: It is the beer garden that was right there along the Las Vegas Strip, and there's three new spots that are going to be opening along there on Restaurant Row.
- 4:20Sean McAllister: So that's gonna be exciting for new establishments to come in there, but also great people watching too.
- 4:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, really great people watching.
- 4:29Dayna Roselli: And and you know, with Resorts World opening somewhat across the street, a little bit more south of there, that'll, you know, bring a little bit more vibrance to the north end of the strip.
- 4:37Dayna Roselli: So we're excited that they're doing that.
- 4:39Dayna Roselli: And yeah, they have an was it ultra pool?
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: Is that what they're calling it?
- 4:42Sean McAllister: They're calling it an ultra pool, yeah.
- 4:43Sean McAllister: So there's gonna be a uh saxophone playing DJ who's providing the ambiance at the ultra pool.
- 4:51Sean McAllister: Really cool vibe that they're going to have at their new pool there.
- 4:55Dayna Roselli: I live next door, and I always say on the weekends I've noticed that parking garage getting full to the top again, and I'm just excited that that people are visiting that property, and we're gonna keep it alive, and and they've got great changes and great updates coming their way.
- 5:08Dayna Roselli: And like you said, it's super elegant inside now, but still has that retro vibe.
- 5:13Dayna Roselli: So we love it.
- 5:14Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 5:15Sean McAllister: Uh something that you just mentioned, Dana, Resorts World.
- 5:18Sean McAllister: We have a lot of entertainment news coming out of Resorts World, and uh one of the biggest DJs in the world, DJ producer Zed, has just announced a residency there.
- 5:30Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's huge.
- 5:30Dayna Roselli: I mean, he was on Twitter in like Capital Letters talking about how excited he is about this.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: He says he's gonna have a brand new show, is what he calls it, at the nightclub and the day club starting this summer.
- 5:41Dayna Roselli: And so it's a big get.
- 5:43Dayna Roselli: You know, even on Twitter, he's got like over seven million followers, and he's, you know, now saying like he's a headliner in Vegas on his bio.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: So he's proud of this, and we're excited to have him.
- 5:53Sean McAllister: Zed's fans have been used to coming here to Las Vegas to see him because he had previously had a residency at Omnian Nightclub over at Caesar's Palace, but now he's moved over to Resorts World, a new home, but still the same Zed.
- 6:07Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: And he's, you know, put out so much great stuff that's you know on the radio and mainstream now, so we love it.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: And then tons of rumors coming out of there as well.
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: Rumors of Carrie Underwood getting a residence along with Luke Bryan.
- 6:20Sean McAllister: Yeah, and of course, we know that Celine Dion, Resorts World, it's not officially announced, but you put two and two together, and it adds up to Celine Dion being at Resorts World because A.E.G.
- 6:33Sean McAllister: is the concert promoter that's overseeing the theater there at Resorts World.
- 6:38Sean McAllister: And Celine and A.E.G.
- 6:40Sean McAllister: have had a long relationship, so it just makes sense that she'll be there.
- 6:44Sean McAllister: Uh yeah, Katy Perry, also among the names uh that are floating around for uh residencies over there at Resorts World in their new 5,000-seat theater, which is gonna be state-of-the-art, absolutely stunning.
- 7:00Sean McAllister: And I've been going back and forth with uh a rep from AEG this week after all these names started bubbling up to the surface.
- 7:09Sean McAllister: They said uh they can't confirm anything right now.
- 7:12Sean McAllister: Official announcements are gonna be coming out soon, but uh this person said that they've heard all the same names that we're mentioning, and there was no denial.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: Okay, which I liked.
- 7:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, which we we know what that means.
- 7:26Dayna Roselli: Working in the news world for so long.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: But we'll see.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: You know, we're excited about that.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: That all sounds great.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: I don't know, Katy Perry, not my thing.
- 7:33Dayna Roselli: I've seen her perform a couple times, and I'm not trying to be rude, but like, I don't know, I don't think she's the best singer.
- 7:38Dayna Roselli: But does that matter?
- 7:40Dayna Roselli: Because if you can put on a show in Vegas, you know, we know from Britney Spears, you know, she lip-synced a lot, but nobody cared that was her true fan and traveled here to see her because the hits are the hits.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: You're dancing, you've got a show.
- 7:54Dayna Roselli: You know that she recorded them and sang them at some point.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: So, but you know, I don't know.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: I'm not a big fan fan of Katy Perry's voice, but that's just me.
- 8:00Dayna Roselli: Her music is good, it's very popular, and and you know, she definitely puts on what did she do Super Bowl a couple years ago?
- 8:06Sean McAllister: Yeah, she did Super Bowl, the halftime show.
- 8:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, very fun in Vegas y.
- 8:09Sean McAllister: And based on, I mean, waking up in Vegas, yeah, I guess.
- 8:12Sean McAllister: One of her big songs, I mean, so that would be perfect.
- 8:14Sean McAllister: It's probably what she'll call the residency when she gets here.
- 8:17Sean McAllister: Um, but based on her music videos, her stage performances, I think it will be a very entertaining production.
- 8:24Sean McAllister: For sure.
- 8:25Sean McAllister: Which will be fantastic.
- 8:26Sean McAllister: And Resorts World, uh having a soft opening in late June, and then the grand opening uh set for July 4th.
- 8:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I don't think that's confirmed though.
- 8:37Dayna Roselli: It's just kind of like talked about.
- 8:39Dayna Roselli: It's 99.99%, probably gonna be those days.
- 8:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:43Dayna Roselli: I guess you could say that.
- 8:45Dayna Roselli: Um, but it hasn't actually come out of the mouths of the people that work at resorts for a lot of people.
- 8:48Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 8:49Sean McAllister: That's what I mean.
- 8:50Sean McAllister: But a lot of people around town are marking their calendars and reserving the dates.
- 8:54Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: Um, and then some shows returning.
- 8:57Dayna Roselli: Uh, just quickly wanted to mention Penn and Teller coming back to the Rio, which is exciting because, you know, they've been there for such a long time.
- 9:04Dayna Roselli: People were wondering when they were.
- 9:06Sean McAllister: Like 30 years, I think.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, long time.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: Um, and then Sticks is returning to the Venetian, which is great.
- 9:11Dayna Roselli: And Billy Idol is going to the Cosmopolitan for shows.
- 9:14Dayna Roselli: So those, I mean, then there's still a lot more coming out, too.
- 9:17Sean McAllister: And there's also tickets available for Lionel Ritchie, uh, who's going to be playing in the Encore showroom over at The Win, uh, coming up in September and October this fall.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: Oh, he's great.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: I saw him at Planet Hollywood.
- 9:27Dayna Roselli: I'm sure you've seen him there too.
- 9:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:29Sean McAllister: And just Dancing on the ceiling.
- 9:30Dayna Roselli: Oh, just a great show.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: We we love having Lionel here in Las Vegas.
- 9:35Dayna Roselli: And one of our more popular shows, Absinthe, celebrated 10 years the other day.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: And it was funny because they were like, you know what?
- 9:42Dayna Roselli: We came for a little popover visit in front of Caesar's Palace, and no one really said it would work.
- 9:47Dayna Roselli: And then here we are 10 years later.
- 9:48Dayna Roselli: So congratulations to them.
- 9:50Sean McAllister: That's such a great show.
- 9:51Sean McAllister: And I believe uh that is one of the first productions that is making sure all of their uh staff and performers are fully vaccinated.
- 9:58Sean McAllister: Ooh, good.
- 9:59Dayna Roselli: I know the win is also putting out letters for their entire staff to what be either had they either have to be vaccinated or they have to take weekly tests.
- 10:07Sean McAllister: Right.
- 10:08Sean McAllister: And be negative, obviously.
- 10:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah, exactly.
- 10:11Sean McAllister: Uh, but that kind of brings us to our weekly poll, Dana.
- 10:14Sean McAllister: It sure does.
- 10:18Sean McAllister: We asked, and you have responded to our exclusive Vegas Revealed Weekly poll.
- 10:29Dayna Roselli: Speaking of vaccines, that is the question of the week.
- 10:33Dayna Roselli: Did you get a vaccine yet?
- 10:36Dayna Roselli: Three answers we had a yes, a no, and a no, but I plan to get it.
- 10:41Sean McAllister: I guess we could have added another one that said, no way.
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I know.
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: Well, I kind of meant like it felt like the no was like, no, I I haven't, and I'm not going to, but I don't know.
- 10:51Dayna Roselli: But you're right, I probably should have put a no and we're not going to.
- 10:55Sean McAllister: But listen, this is an exclusive poll and I mean each week, Vegas Revealed is the only place you will get the Vegas Revealed poll and the result.
- 11:04Sean McAllister: So here we go.
- 11:06Sean McAllister: Did you get a vaccine yet?
- 11:08Sean McAllister: There's an overwhelming answer here, Dana.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: That's right, close to 200 votes on this one.
- 11:12Dayna Roselli: We only posted it this morning, so it's only been a few hours, but uh, we did get a 72.1% yes, a 19.4% no, and an 8.5% no, but I plan to get it.
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: So a lot of people did get the vaccine already.
- 11:30Sean McAllister: Yeah, and uh definitely a a shot in the arm for the economy, a shot in the arm for uh travel and tourism, and a shot in the arm for your health.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: And we always love when you chime in and leave us tweets and messages.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: So Joseph said, yeah, he just got his second shot.
- 11:45Dayna Roselli: Uh Sharon, I believe Sharon's over in Maryland.
- 11:50Dayna Roselli: She says that she's going today.
- 11:52Dayna Roselli: Larry says yes, first of two shots.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: Robert, one of our favorite Las Vegas residents, says he is fully vaccinated since March 4th and he feels great.
- 12:02Dayna Roselli: And Brad is fully vaccinated as well.
- 12:05Dayna Roselli: So uh good for all you guys, and hopefully the ones who want it and haven't gotten it yet, now that it's open to everyone here in Nevada, you'll be able to get in and get out.
- 12:16Sean McAllister: Yeah, 16 years and over, and uh they're taking walk-in appointments.
- 12:20Sean McAllister: I saw at uh Cashman Center and the Las Vegas Convention Center, which are two of the largest uh facilities that are uh taking care of the vaccines.
- 12:30Sean McAllister: Of course, there's you know neighborhood drug stores that are doing it as well, so plenty of options.
- 12:35Sean McAllister: Uh it's available to everyone now.
- 12:37Sean McAllister: So hopefully this is a good sign that we can get fully back to normal.
- 12:42Sean McAllister: Because let me tell you, Dana, didn't it feel so good?
- 12:45Sean McAllister: I know jumping back to Sahara that we were talking about, but just being at an event where they were announcing new restaurants, new attractions, new uh pools, it was just so exciting and felt invigorating after a year of nothing.
- 13:04Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: And you could even tell, just like, you know, living here, working in the media, we see a lot of familiar faces often, but you can almost tell that the group of us that were kind of over in one area were so excited to see each other and hang out too.
- 13:19Sean McAllister: Because we haven't seen people face to face in so long.
- 13:23Sean McAllister: So that is, I I hope that for everybody and especially our listeners around the world, where you know, vaccines haven't been uh distributed as widely as they have here in the US so far.
- 13:36Sean McAllister: So I I hope for everybody that you know uh life gets back to normal and those interactions can start taking place safely again.
- 13:44Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 13:45Dayna Roselli: Something uh we did want to chat about, because you brought it up in one of our past podcasts, and it's the sphere, which is ongoing right near the Venetian.
- 13:52Dayna Roselli: Uh it had stopped for a little while, construction, and and then I noticed some people chiming in even on our Twitter going, what is that round thing they're building?
- 13:59Dayna Roselli: So we wanted to talk a little bit about it.
- 14:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, so this is set back behind the Venetian and Palazzo, and uh the sphere is uh being built by the Madison Square Garden Company, uh another big uh event company and you know concert promoter.
- 14:15Sean McAllister: Uh so but this sphere is going to be uh really groundbreaking in the technology that they're able to put inside and also the technology on the outside of the sphere, because inside there's gonna be you know kind of stadium seating, but the screen essentially the entire inside is going to be a screen.
- 14:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 14:42Dayna Roselli: So like bends with the curves.
- 14:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it bends with the curve.
- 14:46Sean McAllister: So you're inside of this big bubble with an almost 360-degree screen all the way around you.
- 14:54Sean McAllister: So the idea is that whatever event you're there for, you'll be fully immersed in that event.
- 15:02Dayna Roselli: Now they're projecting 2023 for this, but as you drive by, you noticed, and then when you picked it out to me, I've driven by now and said, Oh yeah, you can see they're putting the roof on.
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: And we were just getting and reading an article and listening to some statistics and things, and they're saying like the root, it's like the heaviest lift construction-wise ever in Las Vegas.
- 15:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, so they have some heavy-duty cranes over there to hoist these giant arcing arms up onto the top of the structure of this sphere to connect them all at the top and um really have it hit take shape and live up to its name.
- 15:40Sean McAllister: I was at an event, this is a preview event that happened, gosh, a couple years ago.
- 15:46Sean McAllister: Uh it was inside an airplane hangar over at the uh private airport here, and they were demonstrating some of the technology that's going to be found inside of the sphere.
- 15:57Sean McAllister: And what they're they're not using normal speakers, they're using what are called sound beams to you know help amplif amplify the sound uh inside.
- 16:08Sean McAllister: But what's cool about this is that the beams they specifically uh target specific sections uh of the audience.
- 16:17Sean McAllister: So one section of the audience could be uh listening to a uh product launch or a convention speech in English, and then literally in arms reach over the person next to you could be listening to it in German.
- 16:33Sean McAllister: Oh wow, and there would be no bleed over with the sound, like it specifically targets the the people inside.
- 16:40Sean McAllister: It's amazing.
- 16:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it has a capacity apparently of 17,500 people in there.
- 16:45Dayna Roselli: So that's is that larger than T-Mobile Arena?
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: It is, isn't it?
- 16:48Sean McAllister: It's roughly the same.
- 16:50Dayna Roselli: About the same, yeah.
- 16:51Dayna Roselli: So listen, another addition to Las Vegas that's coming in the future, and it's so cool.
- 16:56Dayna Roselli: If you're in Vegas, drive by the construction site because it's just cool to look at and watch it go up.
- 17:01Dayna Roselli: And then when you come back to Vegas, it'll probably be done because we just put things up like that.
- 17:06Sean McAllister: Yeah, absolutely.
- 17:07Sean McAllister: And uh by the way, I wanna, you know, kind of backtrack to our previous episode of Vegas Revealed with Chef Jamie Tran, who is appearing on Bravo's Top Chef.
- 17:20Sean McAllister: Um, we just want to say, Chef Tran, we are behind you, we are rooting for you, and we hope that all of you tune in on Bravo to see Jamie Tran competing.
- 17:31Dayna Roselli: Top Chef Portland.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: It's on now.
- 17:33Dayna Roselli: And we also did get word, and I know you're close with Gordon Ramsay, Sean.
- 17:37Dayna Roselli: We did get word that they have announced a new uh season as well, the other part that they shot here in Las Vegas, right?
- 17:45Sean McAllister: Yeah, so this was the summer of 2019.
- 17:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:49Sean McAllister: Uh that Hell's Kitchen shot two back-to-back seasons here in Las Vegas.
- 17:56Sean McAllister: I believe the end of May, it's gonna be the young guns that Fox has announced.
- 18:01Sean McAllister: So these are gonna be really young, aspiring chefs who are gonna be competing on the new season.
- 18:07Sean McAllister: And uh you may see a familiar face in the debut episode.
- 18:11Dayna Roselli: Uh-oh, May 31st, 8 p.m.
- 18:15Dayna Roselli: Look for Sean McAllister.
- 18:19Dayna Roselli: So I look forward to that one, that's for sure.
- 18:21Dayna Roselli: And and you know, we always have great interviews with Gordon, and he lives here now, right?
- 18:25Dayna Roselli: Did we say he lives here?
- 18:27Sean McAllister: Oh, he was looking for a house here.
- 18:28Sean McAllister: Yeah, that's right.
- 18:29Sean McAllister: I think during the whole pandemic and everything, he's been back across the pond with his family.
- 18:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I've seen him do some TikToks with his daughter.
- 18:35Dayna Roselli: He's pretty funny.
- 18:36Sean McAllister: Oh my god, he has been like social media king over there.
- 18:40Sean McAllister: Him and his daughter are hilarious.
- 18:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they are.
- 18:43Dayna Roselli: Well, we talked all about the technology that comes along with the sphere, and we did a tour of Wari Studios here in Las Vegas.
- 18:50Dayna Roselli: It's this groundbreaking interactive facility that is brand new, and there's nothing like it in close distance at all.
- 18:58Sean McAllister: No, the creators of Wari Studios kind of envisioned this during the pandemic.
- 19:04Sean McAllister: They had a huge convention planned, which they obviously were not able to bring people together.
- 19:10Sean McAllister: So they came up with this just groundbreaking technological advancement to bring hundreds of thousands of people together virtually in a way like no other facility can.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: And so we have this interview with Larry Smith, who's the president of Warrior Studios.
- 19:28Dayna Roselli: But I also want to mention to visually see it, you need to go to our social media channels because it's hard to explain.
- 19:35Dayna Roselli: And even the video that we post on our social media channels don't do it justice.
- 19:40Dayna Roselli: So we'll also put links in our listening notes to bring you right to the studio's website.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: Well, Sean, are you blown away by Warri Studios?
- 19:50Sean McAllister: I mean, this is absolutely incredible.
- 19:52Sean McAllister: I'm a total geek when it comes to all this kind of technology and the capabilities.
- 19:57Sean McAllister: And it you guys kind of put this together in literally almost no time when you compare it to other projects of this kind of scale, which I would point out there is nothing else of this scale.
- 20:11Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: That's exactly right.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: This studio was put together in under 70 days.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: And not only was it done under 70 days, but it was done in the throes of COVID lockdown time.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: So to be able to build a studio, source location, build the studio, get all of the equipment, all of the computers, all of the technology, and everyone aligned for building this beautiful place to be done in 70 days is pretty amazing.
- 20:38Dayna Roselli: And this is a place where, yes, it's in Las Vegas, but you know, people can drive here and use it, they can fly in and use it, and it's very uh simple, clean, and really easy, right?
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's so easy.
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: I mean to come in from any other city to just drive in and we're 10 minutes from the airport is a dream coming true because you could fly in, use the facility, and fly out if you wanted to, all within the same day, which is amazing.
- 21:03SPEAKER_01: Um but you know, with the relationships of the hotels and everything in close proximity, it's a full experience for the production, to the presenters, to everyone that's involved in making a show or any sort of uh a meeting.
- 21:17Sean McAllister: And the studio can be used for anything from conventions to meetings, uh any kind of event.
- 21:25Sean McAllister: Musical artists can come in.
- 21:27Sean McAllister: I mean Hollywood uh game shows, TV shows, that's all uh uh uh able to be done out of your studio.
- 21:35Sean McAllister: And and talk about the interactive component that's available here because I've never seen anything like it.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: So what we like to say, our tagline is kind of uh whatever you imagine we can make happen.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: We're only limited by your imagination.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: So from all those different types of uh events that you just talked about, Sean, we can also do uh boardroom meetings, we can do you know, launch of uh fashion shows for major designers.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: I mean really the capabilities are limitless.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: And as a studio, we're borderless.
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: And what I mean by that is we can have up to 250,000 attendees live and interactive at any one time.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: And what's amazing about that is that when you hear of when you hear virtual meetings, you think, oh my gosh, I gotta click a button and I'm just gonna be, you know, a square on a wall, right?
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: And it's not so much fun.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: But what we've done is we've taken the technology and we've captured uh content, music, sound effects, you name it, so you feel like you are in a highly produced because you are highly produced event, and uh but you're able to have eye-to-eye, face-to-face contact at any given time.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: Uh we have the ability for people to chat in, to text in, uh, and and presenters or artists can call you out and bring you right up, and we can have you on the screen within three seconds with those people.
- 23:00Dayna Roselli: And I mean, I also picture it as even something for an announcement of something.
- 23:03Dayna Roselli: Instead of a guy standing at a podium and a live feed and people tune in and watch, I mean, now you've got, you know, I don't know, I'm just saying like Caesars Entertainment could make an announcement, and you know, business reporters from all over the world and travel companies and people that are just interested to see what they're going to unveil can all participate.
- 23:22SPEAKER_01: That's absolutely right.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, produ this is like probably one of the best spots to do a product launch or a corporate announcement, because you can hit everyone at one time in a way that you've never been able to before.
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: But even better, I mean imagine if um if you're launching a new mobile device and you're launching it to that many people, the amount of feedback that you can get uh in a positive way about the device, about the form factor, about the technology, or maybe people a asking questions that someone a developer didn't even think about, you're getting feedback that is so critical and so important for future development of product.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: And people are not afraid to talk on these kind of you know meetings and events.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: They are there and they want to be a part of it.
- 24:07Sean McAllister: Or even imagine if you are in Hollywood and planning the next big award show that's coming up, and this is uh the place to do it.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, imagine having three uh almost three thousand people at any one time interacting with you as you're as we rotate uh up to 250,000 people across our screen.
- 24:31SPEAKER_01: I know that the number's so big it doesn't make sense, but uh everyone has that front row seat.
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: And so if you're doing an award show, if you're doing uh well, let's face it, you could you could have everyone there engaged and fully happy with what's going on.
- 24:49Dayna Roselli: And I like what you were saying about musicians too.
- 24:51Dayna Roselli: I mean, you could have a show and there can be several different rooms that people can interact with during the show, but never have to miss the show.
- 25:00Dayna Roselli: So, like normally if I'm sitting uh in an arena and I'm watching a show, I'm like, keep looking at my watch, like when should I go to the restroom or when should I go fill my beer?
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: But now You know, it's so it is so true.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: Dana, you're right.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, you you could take your computer with you if you need to go to the restroom, right?
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: Because it's just you.
- 25:19SPEAKER_01: But totally, I mean, it's it's so different from that point of view.
- 25:22SPEAKER_01: You're able to be so engaged.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: And and shop in a store, you said even like sell fan merchandise.
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so you know, you can be watching the event, you can get into a merch lounge and buy whatever you're like whatever you see there, whether it's t-shirts, whether it's a new single or or um uh a book, right?
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: And suddenly you are able to not leave the event.
- 25:45SPEAKER_01: And you're getting what uh really thrills you in the moment.
- 25:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's it's a it's a incredibly different way of commerce as well.
- 25:54Sean McAllister: And for years there's been talk and efforts made to turn Las Vegas into a smaller version of Hollywood, bring productions here, set up shop to make productions possible here.
- 26:07Sean McAllister: What role are you going to play in that conversation?
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: That's a a great question.
- 26:13SPEAKER_01: You know, we because we can do full production here for TV shows, movies, uh high high-level production, uh, we can now be that spot that Las Vegas had.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: But now from a technology standpoint, whether you're using the interactivity or not, we have something that is so unique that Hollywood or other places can now come and say, hey, we want to produce in your your environment.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: And bringing this technology to Las Vegas, and we have we have the best hotels in the world, we have the best gambling in the world.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: We everything here is the best, right?
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: We now can add this to that list of the best that Las Vegas has to offer.
- 26:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean it it's so cool, and I'm sure you're super excited to be uh a part of it because it did happen quick.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: Who knew?
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: So fast.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: And let me tell you, I come in every single day, I'm like, okay, I'm just gonna go sit in the middle of the stage and I'm surrounded by this beautiful, elegant technology and these screens that have I mean, it's amazing.
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: It's really I pinch myself daily.
- 27:15Dayna Roselli: And we love the warm welcome you gave us with all our our stuff up on the screens, our logos and our podcasts.
- 27:20Dayna Roselli: That was fun, right?
- 27:21Sean McAllister: I know it wasn't, it was I was a little bit overwhelmed seeing it up on huge, beautiful, nice, brand new screens.
- 27:30Dayna Roselli: It did feel so Hollywood, right?
- 27:32Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 27:33Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, thank you so much.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: We we love the tour that you gave us.
- 27:36Dayna Roselli: We're gonna show some video clips and and all that stuff on our YouTube page, all our social media uh platforms, so people can find it at Vegas Revealed.
- 27:43Dayna Roselli: You'll definitely want to go visually see it.
- 27:45Sean McAllister: Yeah, you have to you have to see it.
- 27:47Sean McAllister: And be sure to check out the the link that we have in our show notes also.
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:52Dayna Roselli: Listen, thanks so much for joining us.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much for having us, and thanks for being here.
- 27:55SPEAKER_01: I was happy to turn my studio into your home.
- 27:58Dayna Roselli: Even if it's for a brief five minutes.
- 28:00Dayna Roselli: We enjoyed it.
- 28:01Dayna Roselli: Okay, yes, let's do it again.
- 28:03Sean McAllister: We'll savor the videos and pictures.
- 28:05Dayna Roselli: And what Larry means there is that when we walked into the studio, they had all this Vegas revealed signage up.
- 28:11Dayna Roselli: They had, you know, clips of our opening show and our logos.
- 28:14Dayna Roselli: It was so much fun.
- 28:15Sean McAllister: I mean, it really did feel like it was our studio.
- 28:18Sean McAllister: I wish.
- 28:19Sean McAllister: Which, man, that is just amazing.
- 28:23Sean McAllister: Camera equipment, audio equipment, the screens, the it's it's phenomenal.
- 28:28Sean McAllister: So again, just check out the videos and pictures on our uh Vegas Revealed social media channels.
- 28:35Sean McAllister: All right, let's switch gears to our tips of the week, Dana.
- 28:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, a place to watch some of the big sporting games here in town.
- 28:41Dayna Roselli: You know, you can go to the sports book and you can go to several sports bars and locations.
- 28:45Dayna Roselli: We've talked about many of them uh in the past.
- 28:48Dayna Roselli: Um recently we were at Ellis Island at the At the front yard.
- 28:52Sean McAllister: At the front yard.
- 28:53Sean McAllister: And they've transformed that uh in time for spring and fall too.
- 28:56Sean McAllister: It's all pretty and cute.
- 28:58Dayna Roselli: But a place to go also that's off the strip is called Diversion Amusements.
- 29:03Dayna Roselli: And you're thinking, well, what is that all about?
- 29:05Dayna Roselli: But listen, it's a really cool place to watch the night's games.
- 29:07Dayna Roselli: They do special events there and they have a huge big screen, a great bar, tons of fun food, and then games like pinball and lots of sitting areas.
- 29:17Dayna Roselli: They do a great job with even like having security when you walk in and temperature checks.
- 29:22Dayna Roselli: So it's a great place.
- 29:24Dayna Roselli: It's off the strip, it's to the west of the strip on Cameron Street, but really easy to get to.
- 29:30Dayna Roselli: And just thought if you're in town, you love sports, maybe you are local and you want to watch a nights game, go there, check it out, and support that business.
- 29:37Sean McAllister: Very cool.
- 29:38Sean McAllister: Looking forward to getting over there.
- 29:39Sean McAllister: Diversion amusements is what it's called.
- 29:42Sean McAllister: Uh and Dana, my tip is for people who are magic fans.
- 29:47Sean McAllister: So a lot of people have been missing going to magic shows and the great illusions and just seeing things that really like mess with your mind a little bit.
- 29:57Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 29:58Sean McAllister: Magic always messes with me because I always try to figure out how they're doing what they're doing.
- 30:03Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 30:03Sean McAllister: And then it gets my mind boggled even more.
- 30:05Dayna Roselli: Well, and these days people love their YouTube, you know, they like to go to YouTube and watch things.
- 30:09Sean McAllister: Well, and that's where people have been turning.
- 30:12Sean McAllister: So, Xavier Mortimer, he's a magician here in Las Vegas.
- 30:16Sean McAllister: He's been voted best of Las Vegas, best family-friendly show, best headliner, best value show.
- 30:22Sean McAllister: Uh, his uh show is called A Magical Dream over at Bally's.
- 30:28Sean McAllister: But since the beginning of the pandemic, people have really been turning to Xavier Mortimer's social media sites.
- 30:36Sean McAllister: So he started out at the beginning of the pandemic last year at 40,000 followers on his social media platforms.
- 30:45Sean McAllister: He now has more than four billion views just on Facebook, 250 million on YouTube, 200 million on TikTok, and nearly a hundred million views on Instagram.
- 31:01Sean McAllister: And it's all because he was just cranking out all of this content during pandemic, and he had his team that was really supporting him, and you people obviously were just eating up all of these illusions he was churning out.
- 31:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and listen, so that's why we wanted to mention it, because you know, it's getting to the point now where obviously people are still watching their shows, or people are going, what do I watch next?
- 31:22Dayna Roselli: What do I watch next?
- 31:23Dayna Roselli: But if you want to go down the magic rabbit hole, go to his YouTube page and watch some of his videos.
- 31:28Dayna Roselli: They're pretty incredible.
- 31:30Sean McAllister: Yeah, so his name is Xavier Mortimer, X-A-V-I-E-R, M-O-R-T-I-M-E-R.
- 31:37Sean McAllister: And Xavier, congratulations on just surpassing 10 million followers online.
- 31:44Sean McAllister: That's an incredible feat.
- 31:46Sean McAllister: And thanks for keeping us entertained.
- 31:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 31:48Dayna Roselli: One more tip I'm gonna throw in an extra, and this is Milos at the Venetian.
- 31:53Dayna Roselli: I went there for dinner and it moved from the cosmopolitan.
- 31:57Dayna Roselli: So if people are used to the Milos at the cosmopolitan, it's not closed for good.
- 32:02Dayna Roselli: It's just moved down to the Venetian, beautiful, gorgeous restaurant.
- 32:06Dayna Roselli: Went there for dinner.
- 32:07Dayna Roselli: The food was delicious.
- 32:08Dayna Roselli: And you know, I wouldn't say that I go out for fish often.
- 32:12Dayna Roselli: I will order fish sometimes if I'm someplace and I'm in the mood, but I said to the waiter, like, what should I get?
- 32:17Dayna Roselli: And they're like, Well, you have to get fish.
- 32:19Dayna Roselli: You're you're here at Milos, and we specialize in that.
- 32:21Dayna Roselli: I'm like, okay.
- 32:22Dayna Roselli: It was like had capers on it and and lemon, and it like melted in my mouth.
- 32:28Dayna Roselli: It was the best fish I have ever had.
- 32:30Dayna Roselli: So I recommend it.
- 32:31Dayna Roselli: Great octopus dish for an appetizer as well.
- 32:34Dayna Roselli: They had these zucchini chips with the you know, Tziki sauce that you could, you know, dip in.
- 32:40Dayna Roselli: Uh, their salad, even with like uh the olives and the tomatoes, it literally tasted like you were having it out of the garden.
- 32:48Dayna Roselli: It was just a great, a great experience.
- 32:50Dayna Roselli: It was a Wednesday night, the restaurant was full, which I loved.
- 32:54Dayna Roselli: Great separated tables, though.
- 32:56Dayna Roselli: All the staff were wearing masks and just a good place to check out if you're at the Venetian or you're in Las Vegas, and you're in the mood for that kind of like fish slash Greek kind of restaurant.
- 33:06Sean McAllister: Yeah, really incredible Mediterranean.
- 33:08Sean McAllister: And and they're known for having a big, fresh seafood display, aren't they?
- 33:14Dayna Roselli: They do, yes.
- 33:15Dayna Roselli: And actually, somebody, one of the staff, or I don't know, it was one of the chefs, was giving kind of like a little tour and pointing things out too.
- 33:21Dayna Roselli: So I think there's kind of a learning experience there as well if you're interested in that.
- 33:25Dayna Roselli: And they have a really cool display, like you mentioned, toward the back of the restaurant.
- 33:29Sean McAllister: That's so cool.
- 33:30Sean McAllister: And you know what?
- 33:31Sean McAllister: We might need to, I it seems like every episode now I'm coming up with things, and I'm like, ooh, we should talk about this next time, and we should talk about that next time.
- 33:40Sean McAllister: But I think it really is kind of an interesting story about how especially seafood is flown in from around the world and it's all fresh.
- 33:50Sean McAllister: I know in talking with some chefs uh down on the strip in in years past, the fish are actually flown in still alive.
- 34:00Sean McAllister: They fly in big aquariums so that it literally is like fresh, fresh, fresh.
- 34:06Dayna Roselli: That is extra fresh.
- 34:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we should talk about that sometime.
- 34:11Dayna Roselli: Maybe we'll interview one of the chefs about it and and figure out how it all goes down.
- 34:15Sean McAllister: And you know what?
- 34:15Sean McAllister: Since we're on a roll, let's just throw in a fourth tip here, too.
- 34:18Sean McAllister: Keep your eye on T-Mobile Arena because they have just been on a roll, too, with churning out uh concert announcements.
- 34:28Sean McAllister: So uh they're, you know, continuously updating the roster of entertainers who are making tour stops over at T Mobile Arena.
- 34:36Sean McAllister: So keep your eyes peeled there as well.
- 34:37Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 34:38Dayna Roselli: We got a lot going on in Las Vegas, and so enjoy it, everyone.
- 34:41Dayna Roselli: Keep your eyes, as we said, on our social media for videos and content and some visuals of all the stuff that we've been talking about today.
- 34:49Sean McAllister: And as always, we do have a link in our listener notes where uh you can donate and contribute to the success and future of Vegas Reveal.
- 34:59Sean McAllister: It's always appreciated.
- 35:00Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 35:00Dayna Roselli: And we're always, always taking sponsors.
- 35:04Dayna Roselli: Ideas at Vegas-Reveal.com.
- 35:07Dayna Roselli: You can write and say, you know what, I've got an idea.
- 35:09Dayna Roselli: I want to be your sponsor.
- 35:10Sean McAllister: There we go.
- 35:11Sean McAllister: That's a great idea.
- 35:12Sean McAllister: Great idea.
- 35:14Sean McAllister: Thanks so much for joining us again this week.
- 35:16Sean McAllister: Uh, if things continue the way they are, we're gonna have a crap ton to talk about next week, too.
- 35:21Dayna Roselli: All right, have a good week, everyone.
- 35:23Dayna Roselli: Thanks for listening to Vegas Revealed.
- 35:25Sean McAllister: Bye.
- 35:26Dayna Roselli: We got bills to pay, packing up a soup, let's take a holiday.
