Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: Hey, folks, walk them into the Irish Sailors podcast, the
- 0:06Speaker 1: podcast for Pittsburgh Steers fans across the island of Ireland.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Michael McGrady here delighted to be joined with the flame
- 0:13Speaker 1: egos Jimmy English Dave McKee after this mean up, there
- 0:19Speaker 1: is no point in shining wetness. It was a disappointing
- 0:22Speaker 1: game last week when the Steelers played the Colts, and Jimmy,
- 0:27Speaker 1: it's one thing you get a Saturday night game and
- 0:31Speaker 1: it's great for us because it's on early. But we
- 0:34Speaker 1: can't shy away from this. But there were so many
- 0:36Speaker 1: fans in Ireland that obviously remain optimistic and hopeful for
- 0:40Speaker 1: the season. But it was disappointing going into Indian losing
- 0:44Speaker 1: thirty to thirteen and three games left, three playoff games,
- 0:48Speaker 1: which we'll talk about down the stretch. But well, first off, Harry,
- 0:52Speaker 1: you have just jumped into the game.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I'm good neck, Thanks, I'm glad to be back after
- 0:57Speaker 2: an absence last week.
- 0:58Speaker 3: And you're you're you're dead right.
- 0:59Speaker 2: I was in the wheel chair with some fallows, Theeeters
- 1:02Speaker 2: fans and Saturday night watching the game.
- 1:05Speaker 4: It was a tough watch. I mean, there was some
- 1:07Speaker 4: promising signs at the start. We had Connor Hayward's block
- 1:10Speaker 4: punt which landed right on the right on the one
- 1:14Speaker 4: yard line the two yard line and eventually turned into
- 1:16Speaker 4: a touchdown.
- 1:18Speaker 3: That was initially ruled.
- 1:19Speaker 2: That fumble recovered by the defense, but they gave us
- 1:24Speaker 2: a score up. But now it was it was hard
- 1:25Speaker 2: to watch. I mean, you try and be hopeful a
- 1:28Speaker 2: week on week, but like sometimes you have to.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Call a spade a spade and said that was just
- 1:32Speaker 3: that was just awful.
- 1:34Speaker 2: So look, you know we were we were laying optimistic
- 1:37Speaker 2: as optimistic as we can be.
- 1:38Speaker 4: We go in and we faced a division rival next Saturday,
- 1:42Speaker 4: another start of that game, which which is great. So yeah,
- 1:47Speaker 4: let's just keep plugging on and see what happens.
- 1:49Speaker 1: To quote the Yas song, Dave, the only way is
- 1:52Speaker 1: up baby for you mean, like, look, let's see what happens.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I just I actually forgot Jimmy and it's great to
- 2:01Speaker 1: have you back. I know you weren't all last week.
- 2:02Speaker 1: That was great crack last week David with Jeff and
- 2:05Speaker 1: we'll hopefully get them out again during a playoff r
- 2:07Speaker 1: I'm going to keep the positive vibes it's just just
- 2:10Speaker 1: going from what Jimmy said. Nothing it right in that game.
- 2:14Speaker 1: And it's funny because the first two quarters were sort
- 2:17Speaker 1: of stopped start and indeed pull away towards the end.
- 2:21Speaker 1: The prostrating thing for me is we were there, it
- 2:25Speaker 1: was just like find a way and couldn't get the
- 2:27Speaker 1: run game going at all with Nazi got to look forward.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Yeah, we've just sort of you know, I often say it,
- 2:34Speaker 5: but I'm just gonna echo everything Jimmy said. You know,
- 2:37Speaker 5: it's it's obviously the only way I can describe it.
- 2:39Speaker 5: It's disappointing. And you know, twenty was a twenty seven
- 2:43Speaker 5: unentered points minus three turnover the financial you know, we
- 2:47Speaker 5: mentioned at the start of the season we were constantly
- 2:49Speaker 5: getting out gained in every single game. But we're winning
- 2:52Speaker 5: the games. And the reason is because we weren't turning
- 2:54Speaker 5: the ball over. Like if you if you're constantly turning
- 2:57Speaker 5: the ball over, you're gonna put yourself on a bobs
- 3:00Speaker 5: us and you know, the chances are you're probably going
- 3:02Speaker 5: to end up losing the game. But just nothing after
- 3:04Speaker 5: the second quarter, just nothing went right, and then obviously,
- 3:08Speaker 5: you know, just the sloppy playout quarterback that ended up
- 3:13Speaker 5: you know, even if Trubisky did have sort of signs
- 3:15Speaker 5: that you know, we met Deantay Johnson in a couple
- 3:18Speaker 5: of good routes, but just in the end, it's just
- 3:21Speaker 5: it's it's really unacceptable to lose to an Indianapolis Coast
- 3:25Speaker 5: team that you know, with then they're they're in, they're
- 3:28Speaker 5: in the shop with the playoffs. So not only is
- 3:30Speaker 5: a loss, it's a it's a massive loss for us,
- 3:32Speaker 5: but because obviously they've put that as a bit of
- 3:34Speaker 5: like ground distance between ourselves and the name is going
- 3:36Speaker 5: to be hard to even get in now. So the
- 3:38Speaker 5: any ways, up we've got Cincinnati, you know when this weekend,
- 3:43Speaker 5: and again it's it's that you know, domino fact. You know,
- 3:45Speaker 5: we're big, we're playing team that's in that battle for
- 3:48Speaker 5: a playoff position, and we can come up with when
- 3:51Speaker 5: where all of a sudden back in it. But obviously
- 3:52Speaker 5: we've still got two massive games after that against Seattle
- 3:55Speaker 5: and Baltimore, So it's it's not going to get any easier.
- 3:58Speaker 5: You know, this is maybe you know, out of the
- 4:00Speaker 5: three games, this is probably the most winnable, but at
- 4:02Speaker 5: the same time, we've got a look at it, and
- 4:05Speaker 5: you know we're gonna have to take the injuries and
- 4:06Speaker 5: the suspension on board as well. But I'll say, you know,
- 4:10Speaker 5: if if we can just continue keep pupping the head down,
- 4:13Speaker 5: hopefully we'll come out with a when next weekend. That's
- 4:14Speaker 5: the best way we can look at.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Us, and there's gonna be positive vibes. I just I need,
- 4:19Speaker 1: we need to win this weekend. Let's hear from coach
- 4:21Speaker 1: Tomlin first before we get our guessle this week. Lets
- 4:23Speaker 1: let's see what you have to say on Monday to
- 4:26Speaker 1: the press.
- 4:28Speaker 6: Let's talk about Cincinnati, their group that appears to be
- 4:32Speaker 6: trending in the right direction since the last time we
- 4:34Speaker 6: played them. They gaining some real traction. I'll start first
- 4:38Speaker 6: with their offense. Browning is doing a really good job
- 4:41Speaker 6: of taking care of the ball. His completion percentage speaks
- 4:45Speaker 6: to that. Their lack of turnovers or their ball security
- 4:49Speaker 6: speaks to that. But it's not just him, it's them.
- 4:51Speaker 6: They've done some schematic things to really do a nice
- 4:54Speaker 6: job of staying on schedule, not being one dimensional, are
- 4:57Speaker 6: working to keep defenses off balance, changing law points. Again.
- 5:02Speaker 6: He's new to playing, but not new to their program,
- 5:04Speaker 6: and I think We talked about that last time, but
- 5:07Speaker 6: I think that that is increasingly evident as he's gained
- 5:10Speaker 6: more in helmet perspective on play over the last three
- 5:14Speaker 6: weeks at running back man, you know, we got to
- 5:18Speaker 6: minimize mixing his impact on the game, whether it's run
- 5:22Speaker 6: or in the passing game. We got hit on a
- 5:24Speaker 6: big screen and the significant moment screens are a big
- 5:27Speaker 6: component of what they do, particularly with him. The rookie
- 5:32Speaker 6: Chad has come on in recent weeks. That is something
- 5:36Speaker 6: to consider also from a running back perspective that might
- 5:39Speaker 6: be a little bit different than the last time we
- 5:41Speaker 6: played them. U T Higgins is a component of what
- 5:44Speaker 6: they're doing. We didn't see tea last time, and so
- 5:47Speaker 6: you know, we were able to allocate a lot of
- 5:49Speaker 6: schematics towards Chase. When you're when you're dealing with a
- 5:53Speaker 6: full arsenal, you gotta deal with T. Higgins and Chase
- 5:57Speaker 6: and Tyler Boyd. So ours we got some more schematic
- 6:01Speaker 6: challenges in those situational passing moments because he's got a
- 6:06Speaker 6: you know, a full repertoire of people to spread the
- 6:09Speaker 6: ball around too, and so you know, those are some
- 6:11Speaker 6: of the things that have our attention on that side
- 6:13Speaker 6: of the ball. On the defensive side of the ball,
- 6:15Speaker 6: they're playing really good situational ball, standing up in big moments.
- 6:20Speaker 6: Mike Hilton big interception in the red area, I thought
- 6:23Speaker 6: really kept that thing in striking distance form the other day.
- 6:28Speaker 6: But we know and they're familiar with Mike. He is
- 6:31Speaker 6: a big catalyst for them. I think he's third or
- 6:33Speaker 6: fourth and tackles for them. He's always had an appetite
- 6:36Speaker 6: for the big play. He shows up off the edge
- 6:40Speaker 6: in the run game a lot. They're they're bringing some
- 6:43Speaker 6: pressure in the run game. They're bringing battle as well
- 6:46Speaker 6: at the safety position. They got really good continuity in
- 6:49Speaker 6: terms of the things that they do. We're familiar with them,
- 6:53Speaker 6: but it doesn't necessarily provide comfort for us. They're familiar
- 6:56Speaker 6: with us as well, and I just think that's a
- 6:58Speaker 6: texture of divisional play.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Interesting to hear from Coach Fumbling ahead of this game
- 7:03Speaker 1: against the Bengals this weekend, which we will look ahead
- 7:06Speaker 1: to in a little second. In the meantime, this week,
- 7:09Speaker 1: we're delighted to welcome back a guy that we had
- 7:11Speaker 1: on just before the season started, a guy that you
- 7:13Speaker 1: will hear on OTV radio and across the Staters Nation broadcast.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Craig Wolfe joins, it's not just to recap the season
- 7:20Speaker 1: so far, but to look ahead and give us some positivity.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Happened into the last three games in the season as
- 7:26Speaker 1: Christmas comes up this week, We've got a Staters game
- 7:28Speaker 1: around Christmas on Saturday Night against the Bengals, and we
- 7:32Speaker 1: have an early Christmas present at a time of need
- 7:36Speaker 1: for every Staters fan across the island of Ireland and
- 7:39Speaker 1: further beyond. We've got Craig Wolfy, obviously part of the
- 7:43Speaker 1: States broadcast, former Stater himself, Craig wolf fame on. It's
- 7:47Speaker 1: it's great to have you on as always, second time
- 7:49Speaker 1: on here. Now you've already hit the record, You've got
- 7:52Speaker 1: the most appearances. Welcome in.
- 7:54Speaker 5: How you doing.
- 7:55Speaker 7: I'm doing great. I love it. I finally set a
- 7:58Speaker 7: record and something besides some or the food eating contest.
- 8:01Speaker 7: You know. Good to see you, fellas man.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Well, Tom, we were talking off there there before. We
- 8:08Speaker 2: before we jumped on about how the team must be
- 8:11Speaker 2: feeling on the back of the loss of the calls
- 8:14Speaker 2: and Saturday to night, and you alluded to a moment
- 8:16Speaker 2: in your career back in nineteen eighty eight when you
- 8:18Speaker 2: were five and eleven. What can these guys do, I
- 8:22Speaker 2: suppose to to somehow get the get their heads up
- 8:26Speaker 2: against the crucial game against the Bengals next again.
- 8:30Speaker 7: Not crack under pressure, man, You gotta hold it together.
- 8:33Speaker 7: The boys got to stick together. I walked on the
- 8:36Speaker 7: plane past Cam Hayward and TJ. Watt, and I could
- 8:41Speaker 7: see the miserableness in their faces. They know, they know
- 8:44Speaker 7: that that game got away from them. And you know,
- 8:47Speaker 7: but those are two of the most important guys that
- 8:49Speaker 7: you can have that reload this stuff and pull people together.
- 8:53Speaker 7: You gotta stick together. You gotta keep the voices to
- 8:56Speaker 7: the outside of the four walls in the locker room
- 8:59Speaker 7: and some where from within. It's not gonna be without
- 9:02Speaker 7: Chuck Nolan. I'll remember way back in eighty eighty. Also,
- 9:05Speaker 7: he warned us back then, there's nobody coming in from
- 9:08Speaker 7: the east to save you. You know, this is all
- 9:10Speaker 7: about you guys finding out what you need to do.
- 9:13Speaker 7: All the answers to all your questions are inside the
- 9:16Speaker 7: four walls of the locker room. You guys got to
- 9:18Speaker 7: make that effort to find out what it is. And
- 9:21Speaker 7: that's what these guys have to do. You know, they
- 9:23Speaker 7: started off great, got the block punt, things were moving along,
- 9:27Speaker 7: and then things went downhill, and you know, you've got
- 9:30Speaker 7: to find out who is going to stand up under
- 9:33Speaker 7: the pressure, Who's going to fight to the end. You
- 9:35Speaker 7: got three games left and I expect to see nothing
- 9:39Speaker 7: but their best foot forward, guys fighting to finish. That's
- 9:43Speaker 7: what I expect coming up.
- 9:44Speaker 5: You've mentioned about rough patches and stuff, and you were
- 9:47Speaker 5: matching about the tame favor and lab and stuff. You know,
- 9:49Speaker 5: who is that guy in your locker room? So you
- 9:52Speaker 5: look back on your grit stealert hangs during the eighties
- 9:54Speaker 5: and stuff. Who is that guy in your locker room
- 9:57Speaker 5: that says, right, we need to start of the ship.
- 9:59Speaker 5: We need to get the next Like, who's that guy
- 10:01Speaker 5: if you compare to this team right now, Like, who
- 10:03Speaker 5: do you think was the guy kicks kicking yourrobots in
- 10:06Speaker 5: the place?
- 10:07Speaker 7: Yeah? Easy, In my day it was Joe Green and
- 10:09Speaker 7: Jack Lambert. Okay, now you turn around, now you got yourself,
- 10:13Speaker 7: Cam Heyward and TJ.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Wyt All.
- 10:15Speaker 7: Right, those are two of the guys that have to lead.
- 10:17Speaker 7: Alex Highsmith is another high quality, high energy guy that's
- 10:21Speaker 7: got to lead from the front too. And it's the
- 10:24Speaker 7: big dogs now that got to step out and put
- 10:26Speaker 7: in the superb performances because everybody's looking for their cues
- 10:31Speaker 7: from those guys, and those guys are the standard bearers.
- 10:34Speaker 7: Those guys are the guys that can carry things forward,
- 10:37Speaker 7: and I look for them to be of tremendous resource
- 10:41Speaker 7: to all the other guys.
- 10:42Speaker 1: It's funny because you're part of the game day broadcast.
- 10:44Speaker 1: And one thing that's changed since we've last spoken, we
- 10:47Speaker 1: hadnock starts not too long after you both you or no.
- 10:53Speaker 1: You can listen to your Dolcentnes on the radio in
- 10:58Speaker 1: Ireland during a game day and you're going global, You're
- 11:01Speaker 1: going international. How does that make you, guys feel? Just
- 11:05Speaker 1: like I mean, obviously it's really unique. This is happening.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I have you been paying much attention to it? Do
- 11:10Speaker 1: you think it's pretty cool? Or what's your thoughts? No?
- 11:13Speaker 7: I know, you know the funny thing was I got
- 11:15Speaker 7: into this broadcasting business through you know, tud Yillkin many
- 11:19Speaker 7: years ago. You know, I had a boxing gym. He
- 11:21Speaker 7: used to come into my gym all the time and say,
- 11:24Speaker 7: come on, you got to do this. I'm like, now,
- 11:25Speaker 7: I don't want to do this. Put the gloves on.
- 11:27Speaker 7: We'll go in the ring through a few rounds. You know,
- 11:29Speaker 7: whoever bleeds the most has got to pick up the
- 11:31Speaker 7: tab for lunch. So, you know, we do that for
- 11:34Speaker 7: a while. They hed to go, come back and go.
- 11:35Speaker 7: You gotta do this. You got to be the sideline guy.
- 11:37Speaker 7: You gotta travel. Because he says, I'm getting bored hang
- 11:40Speaker 7: out with you. I'm like, no, I don't want to
- 11:42Speaker 7: do this, right. So then finally I do that. And
- 11:44Speaker 7: then after the first year, they tell me, oh, by
- 11:47Speaker 7: the way, when you turn your microphone on, this is
- 11:49Speaker 7: a year after I've already been in it, you know,
- 11:51Speaker 7: or maybe a couple of years. Actually, there's like around
- 11:54Speaker 7: a million people listening. I said, what you know, I'm like,
- 11:57Speaker 7: I think I'm just talking to a couple of people
- 11:59Speaker 7: on the microphone, and you're telling me, now there's like
- 12:01Speaker 7: a million or two or something listening. I'm going to
- 12:03Speaker 7: gad zooks, man, you gotta be kidding me, you know.
- 12:06Speaker 7: But the fact is, you know what they are, the
- 12:08Speaker 7: Steelers fans, and it's just all one big Steelers nation.
- 12:12Speaker 7: I'm just talking to friends, that's all I'm.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Doing talking about Steeters Nation there.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Well, you know, I don't know if you if you
- 12:18Speaker 4: saw the turnout we had and built in a couple
- 12:20Speaker 4: of weeks ago for the first ever Steeters Irish watch party,
- 12:23Speaker 4: were you were you a bit envious over there looking
- 12:26Speaker 4: across the pond.
- 12:27Speaker 3: You couldn't join us for a couple of appliants, you know.
- 12:30Speaker 7: It would have been nice.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Brother.
- 12:31Speaker 7: I saw some of that action. I heard about it,
- 12:34Speaker 7: I got the reports and it was all everybody was
- 12:37Speaker 7: talking about how great it was, what a joy it was,
- 12:40Speaker 7: how much excitement and enthusiasm and everything. Congrats to you guys,
- 12:44Speaker 7: you know, being part of all that, doing all you
- 12:47Speaker 7: can to bring the Steelers war to the great, great
- 12:51Speaker 7: country of Ireland. Man, I mean, dad zookes, that's just
- 12:54Speaker 7: beautiful stuff.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Way to go, And I as I suppose you're you're
- 12:59Speaker 4: a key part of the Steelers organization. You know, you're
- 13:01Speaker 4: on the radio broadcast, you've been a player. How does
- 13:05Speaker 4: it make you feel when you see the reach that
- 13:07Speaker 4: Steelers Nation has across the world globally?
- 13:11Speaker 7: You know, it's fantambic And let me just correct things.
- 13:13Speaker 7: I'm just a little small spot, guys. You know, I've
- 13:17Speaker 7: been so privileged to be able to be a small
- 13:22Speaker 7: part of this organization for a long time. And I'm
- 13:25Speaker 7: grateful to the Roonies and all the coaches that Chuck
- 13:29Speaker 7: Knowle had drafted me and everything. So it's just a
- 13:32Speaker 7: privilege for me to be able to do this. And
- 13:34Speaker 7: it's wonderful because I get to meet people like you, right,
- 13:37Speaker 7: you got dudes. Yeah, I mean sometimes we're going to
- 13:40Speaker 7: hang out together. It'll be a lot of fun. But
- 13:43Speaker 7: we all have that commonality of Steeler football and that's
- 13:46Speaker 7: what we love. That's what you get your juice from.
- 13:49Speaker 7: You know. I can't imagine even you know, another team
- 13:52Speaker 7: having as much as you know of the Steelers Nation
- 13:55Speaker 7: type of thing as what the Steelers have. So I
- 13:58Speaker 7: think it's all good. I remember from the fan to
- 14:00Speaker 7: see football camps, you know, way back in the day
- 14:03Speaker 7: before COVID, the Steelers had those fantasy football camps up
- 14:06Speaker 7: in Saint Vincent College and we got guys from man
- 14:10Speaker 7: all over the world. There was just crazy about how
- 14:13Speaker 7: many people came. And one was from my Kazakistan or
- 14:17Speaker 7: was Bekastan something like that, I mean way on the
- 14:20Speaker 7: other side of the world. It was just tremendous to
- 14:22Speaker 7: see that Steelers football reaches that far.
- 14:25Speaker 5: It really is. It's crazy when you think of it,
- 14:27Speaker 5: and it's it's another one of those were doesn't actually matter,
- 14:30Speaker 5: of course, it matters how we're playing, but you know
- 14:32Speaker 5: when Lois or Tae, you know, Steelers Nation will always
- 14:35Speaker 5: stay loyal and always stick beat or through the rough
- 14:38Speaker 5: patches and stuff. So you're spot on there. Just obviously
- 14:40Speaker 5: coming back to it. Well for you know, this week,
- 14:42Speaker 5: you know, Mason Ridoff he's going to get a chance
- 14:44Speaker 5: to come in as a starter against Cincinnati. What do
- 14:47Speaker 5: you think he can bring that maybe we haven't been
- 14:49Speaker 5: seeing from Mitchell Traubisky. You know, he's a bit of
- 14:51Speaker 5: a veteran now, he's been in the league for what
- 14:53Speaker 5: six seven years? What is he going to be able
- 14:55Speaker 5: to bring it in? But that maybe we weren't getting
- 14:56Speaker 5: with Mitch.
- 14:57Speaker 7: You know, I think and I'll say that, yeah, listen, listen.
- 15:02Speaker 7: You know for Mitchell, feel bad for him. You know,
- 15:04Speaker 7: you know he had some opportunities they just didn't materialize
- 15:08Speaker 7: for him. The guy is a is a quality quarterback.
- 15:11Speaker 7: But you know you've got to try something now, and
- 15:13Speaker 7: Mason Rudolph is a guy he's got a five to
- 15:15Speaker 7: four to one overall record as a you know, backup quarterback.
- 15:20Speaker 7: This is a guy who in his last outing, if
- 15:23Speaker 7: you remember Detroit, one of his last outings, he was
- 15:27Speaker 7: like thirty of fifty for over three hundred yards and
- 15:31Speaker 7: did a great job on a very you know, snowy,
- 15:34Speaker 7: rainy December day when they should have been running the
- 15:37Speaker 7: ball and they threw the ball fifty times. He woke
- 15:39Speaker 7: up that morning Ben had COVID and all of a
- 15:42Speaker 7: sudden he's in the starting lineup. But he's able to
- 15:44Speaker 7: come through like that, does a great job securing at
- 15:48Speaker 7: least a tie when you know that could have really
- 15:50Speaker 7: gone sideways. I think Mason Rudolph is a very capable veteran,
- 15:54Speaker 7: a guy who can lead from the front, a guy
- 15:57Speaker 7: that has shown that he's capable of it. I know
- 16:00Speaker 7: some people you know, don't disagree with me. That's fine.
- 16:03Speaker 7: I happen to think very highly of his skills. You
- 16:06Speaker 7: watch him. He's got a strong arm. He can run people.
- 16:10Speaker 7: People don't think he can run. And i'mber watching in
- 16:12Speaker 7: one of the films, you know, he scrambled for almost
- 16:15Speaker 7: thirty yards just on one way alone. A guy can run.
- 16:18Speaker 7: And the guy is also capable of throwing the air
- 16:21Speaker 7: in that ball out like he can't believe. So let's
- 16:23Speaker 7: hope and pray that, you know, he gets it together.
- 16:26Speaker 7: He has an opportunity, and he's a fighter, you know,
- 16:28Speaker 7: and I get hey, give me anybody that's ready to fight,
- 16:31Speaker 7: because right now you're looking at three games, man, three games.
- 16:34Speaker 7: You better not lay down, You better not give less
- 16:37Speaker 7: than your best effort, and ought to all be about
- 16:40Speaker 7: coming through and delivering the goods this weekend.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Well, you've been quite fortunate, thought a lot of the
- 16:47Speaker 1: games both have even been not prime time, but they've
- 16:50Speaker 1: been on TV for us here. So a lot of
- 16:52Speaker 1: the games we've seen this season in general fonds I've
- 16:54Speaker 1: seen also that continues this week with a game on
- 16:58Speaker 1: Saturday night, like I mean, Jimmy and Dievill tell you
- 17:01Speaker 1: nine thirty on a Saturday night SUPERB Globule against the Bengals. No,
- 17:07Speaker 1: the Bengals have had an up and down season as well.
- 17:10Speaker 1: They're still in the hunt. Obviously when a guy that
- 17:12Speaker 1: Joe Burrow go was out, you see Brown and come
- 17:15Speaker 1: in and do quite well. It just sort of we're
- 17:17Speaker 1: recording this earlier in the week. What are your initial
- 17:21Speaker 1: thoughts on what this Bengals team brings against the Seders
- 17:23Speaker 1: on Saturday.
- 17:25Speaker 7: Well, they are still the Bengals. They are still burrow less.
- 17:28Speaker 7: But this kid Browning and we've got a lot of
- 17:30Speaker 7: bes going on there, man. But bron has proven himself
- 17:34Speaker 7: to be capable. He's gotten better in his performances. Last
- 17:38Speaker 7: week against the Colts, I mean, threw for two seventy five,
- 17:42Speaker 7: but a buck twenty five of it was through screen passes.
- 17:45Speaker 7: There's a you know, they got the mix in, they
- 17:47Speaker 7: got a good offensive line, you've got a defense. They
- 17:50Speaker 7: can come after you. So it's it's gonna be a
- 17:52Speaker 7: good soiree. It's gonna be a good set to you know.
- 17:55Speaker 7: I mean, it's a division opponent. What more do you need,
- 17:58Speaker 7: dad Zooks. You love division opponents because those are the
- 18:01Speaker 7: ones that you never have to worry about a cheap shot,
- 18:03Speaker 7: you know, because you're never gonna have to apologize for it.
- 18:06Speaker 7: Somebody will start it and you got to finish it,
- 18:09Speaker 7: you know. I mean, that's just the way it rolls
- 18:11Speaker 7: well to me.
- 18:13Speaker 4: Anyway, there were a couple of areas that were locking
- 18:16Speaker 4: in the past couple of weeks for this theaters, you know,
- 18:20Speaker 4: the inside linebackers is particularly thin, and now the safety
- 18:24Speaker 4: position as well, with the news coming today that Casey
- 18:28Speaker 4: has been ruined after the rest of the season, true suspension.
- 18:31Speaker 2: But from your perspective, what is the area that needs
- 18:34Speaker 2: to be most addressed ahead of the game? I mean,
- 18:37Speaker 2: where is the area that the statis need to focus
- 18:39Speaker 2: on most?
- 18:39Speaker 3: How success against the Bengals.
- 18:41Speaker 7: Well, one of them is just what you're highlighting. You're
- 18:43Speaker 7: exactly spot on. I mean, you can't lose your first
- 18:47Speaker 7: two linebackers, you got your third one, the land and Roberts.
- 18:50Speaker 7: You know, you went from a pair and a spare,
- 18:52Speaker 7: as Mike Domlin used to call it, to the loan solitaire.
- 18:55Speaker 7: That would be Landon Roberts. After you lose Cole Holcombe
- 18:59Speaker 7: and On Alexander and then all of a sudden you're
- 19:02Speaker 7: down to you know, a young Buck rookie Mark Robinson.
- 19:05Speaker 7: So the thing is that you're you're hurting down the middle.
- 19:09Speaker 7: You've got a Landon Roberts playing with a pool groin. Which,
- 19:12Speaker 7: let me tell you something I've done that it's extremely hard.
- 19:17Speaker 7: It it hoists to put it in terms that everybody
- 19:21Speaker 7: can understand. But a Landon Roberts is a real man.
- 19:24Speaker 7: He's a tough guy. Man, he's out there playing and
- 19:27Speaker 7: doing I thought until those last game he had been
- 19:30Speaker 7: doing a great job. And everybody on the defense struggled
- 19:32Speaker 7: this past week. But a Landon Roberts is one of
- 19:35Speaker 7: those guys that keeps plugging away and keeps going. Then
- 19:38Speaker 7: you lose your safeties. You know, Mika Fitzpatrick, we're still like,
- 19:42Speaker 7: I can't believe that make is down. Mica is just
- 19:45Speaker 7: one of those rare NFL talents. That's he's generational. He's
- 19:50Speaker 7: one of those guys that, man, oh man, to lose
- 19:53Speaker 7: him is that's that's very painful. But you lose Demante Casey,
- 19:57Speaker 7: which I'm sorry, I disagree totally. I understand the hits.
- 20:01Speaker 7: This is back in my day that hit was celebrated.
- 20:03Speaker 7: That would have been on all the TV hot you know,
- 20:06Speaker 7: talk shows and everything like that, all that. It would
- 20:09Speaker 7: have been great. But in this day and age now
- 20:12Speaker 7: they rule that it you know, was he they tossed
- 20:15Speaker 7: him out. It's gonna cost him some bucks. I'm sorry
- 20:18Speaker 7: for him. Di Monty I thought was going after the ball.
- 20:21Speaker 7: But the fact of the matter is, I don't see that.
- 20:25Speaker 7: I don't believe he was trying to injure Pittman at all,
- 20:28Speaker 7: you know. Matter of fact, I say, why don't they
- 20:31Speaker 7: talk to Gardner about throwing a ball that leaves them,
- 20:33Speaker 7: let you know, out stretched out in front of a
- 20:35Speaker 7: guy that's just that's more his fault than anything. But
- 20:39Speaker 7: having said that, you know, we are down at the
- 20:42Speaker 7: safety position. We're down through the middle of the football team.
- 20:45Speaker 7: So one man's misfortune is another man's fortune, and they're
- 20:49Speaker 7: gonna have to step up with the opportunities given to
- 20:52Speaker 7: these different individuals that it will take over like Tratton
- 20:56Speaker 7: Marshall and I'm sorry Trent and Thompson and so forth.
- 20:59Speaker 7: They're gonna have to stay up up and make some
- 21:01Speaker 7: plays and be part of it. And hopefully Elijah Rightley
- 21:04Speaker 7: might be back this week too, that's a possibility. And
- 21:07Speaker 7: you know that kid. I love that kid. That kid
- 21:09Speaker 7: is West Point Top.
- 21:10Speaker 5: Yeah, And as you say, well, you know it's already
- 21:13Speaker 5: about adopting and next guy up, And if the next
- 21:15Speaker 5: guy up plays as well as Trenton Thompson has, then
- 21:18Speaker 5: I really don't see how it could be an issue.
- 21:20Speaker 5: But just you know, and coming back on as well,
- 21:23Speaker 5: you know, one of the positives we have had we
- 21:25Speaker 5: have consistently over the past year, as obviously TJ. Watt
- 21:29Speaker 5: And you know I said it last week in the podcast.
- 21:32Speaker 5: I think he's the most disrespected player in the NFL.
- 21:35Speaker 5: Maybe doesn't get as much prospect as the likes of
- 21:37Speaker 5: Mayas Gareth and Micah Parsons. Just how important is that
- 21:41Speaker 5: key pass rusher on there, you know, our past rusher.
- 21:43Speaker 5: Sorry because obviously you know you need good head coach,
- 21:45Speaker 5: good quarterback, but obviously the edge rusher as well. How
- 21:48Speaker 5: important is that aspect you know for us? And obviously
- 21:51Speaker 5: going forward, you.
- 21:53Speaker 7: Know you're exactly on man. I mean, think about it.
- 21:56Speaker 7: You've got TJ. Watt. He doesn't. He's not just a
- 21:59Speaker 7: pass rush you know. You think about some of the
- 22:01Speaker 7: great plays he makes with he's using his Gordon, you know,
- 22:04Speaker 7: I mean he drops back, gets his hands up, knocks
- 22:07Speaker 7: down a pass, he intercepts a ball. He's just a
- 22:10Speaker 7: great player. And this great player he uses his noodle
- 22:14Speaker 7: in a way that he's able to accomplish things that
- 22:16Speaker 7: maybe a lot of defensive players don't. Because I'm always
- 22:19Speaker 7: kidding him about them being brainless and the offensive guys
- 22:21Speaker 7: are the ones that are really smart. You know. Of
- 22:24Speaker 7: course you go back and forth with him and that's
- 22:26Speaker 7: it doesn't fly with him. But regardless, the point of
- 22:29Speaker 7: being is a guy like TJ. Watt shows more than
- 22:32Speaker 7: just the physical attributes that you see on the field. Well,
- 22:36Speaker 7: what's so much fun is when you watch him pass
- 22:38Speaker 7: rush and he executes some of those hand trapping techniques.
- 22:41Speaker 7: Those are the things you see when you're on the
- 22:43Speaker 7: south side every day at practice. You watch him working
- 22:47Speaker 7: on it, and I love that because he's kind of like,
- 22:49Speaker 7: it's like he's out there with one of his coaches.
- 22:51Speaker 7: He's like, I don't know, he's like, we're working with
- 22:54Speaker 7: mister Miagi, you know, and the karate kid. You know,
- 22:57Speaker 7: he's working his hand trap and uppercut all the kind
- 22:59Speaker 7: of things. But he's that good because number one, he's
- 23:03Speaker 7: talented and he desires to be great, and the third
- 23:06Speaker 7: is he backs it up with great hard work. Same
- 23:09Speaker 7: thing for Alex Heismith. You don't think it's inspirational for
- 23:12Speaker 7: him at the one end to look over and see TJ.
- 23:15Speaker 7: Watt at the other end of the spectrum, And how
- 23:17Speaker 7: much of a great advantage is that knowing that they're
- 23:20Speaker 7: gonna they've got to pick their poison. Where are you
- 23:23Speaker 7: gonna swing your wall? Where you're gonna go with the
- 23:24Speaker 7: double team? Who gets the chip? You know, I hated
- 23:27Speaker 7: playing tackle. I was a guard, you know. Put me
- 23:30Speaker 7: in the phone booth. I like close quartered grappling fighting,
- 23:33Speaker 7: you know that type of thing. Put me at tackle,
- 23:35Speaker 7: kad zooks. That's a lot of open territory out there.
- 23:38Speaker 7: So yeah, I was always like, if I'm at tackle,
- 23:41Speaker 7: Ton Jokins at right tackle, give me the wall, give
- 23:44Speaker 7: me the tight end, give me the chip, and I'm
- 23:46Speaker 7: gonna take the the uh, take the equipment boy, and
- 23:49Speaker 7: I'll stuff him in my back pocket and throw it
- 23:51Speaker 7: at that guy. You know. I means I want it all,
- 23:54Speaker 7: but TJ Watt he picks up all. Let me tell
- 23:57Speaker 7: you something, if you watch that film, he's constantly being
- 24:00Speaker 7: chipped and double team did that sort of stuff. That
- 24:03Speaker 7: speaks to what a great player he is.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I love him. I think like this was this was
- 24:07Speaker 1: the exact interview we needed this week. I'm telling him
- 24:11Speaker 1: on great, great.
- 24:11Speaker 7: Still gonna do headbutts when we're done here. Okay, we're
- 24:14Speaker 7: gonna get all fired out.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Over soon and just finally Craig. Obviously for people and
- 24:22Speaker 1: in Ireland you can listen to you, guys, I am
- 24:25Speaker 1: on Off the Ball on a TV radio on Saturday.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Get the Game is also on Sky Sports NFL in
- 24:29Speaker 1: Ireland on the Cross the UK also look three games
- 24:34Speaker 1: to go. If you win all three games, you've a
- 24:36Speaker 1: seventy seven percent Johnson making the playoffs. Do you still believe?
- 24:40Speaker 7: Oh, I believe. I listen, man, I'm too old to
- 24:43Speaker 7: change my ways. You know, ever since I was a player,
- 24:46Speaker 7: I believed. I always believed. I never worried about it.
- 24:49Speaker 7: You know, playoffs, you leave them in the back of
- 24:53Speaker 7: your mind. It's all that matters is the next game,
- 24:55Speaker 7: the next series, and the next play. That's it. I
- 24:59Speaker 7: don't worry about anything else. When I was a player,
- 25:02Speaker 7: people would ask me who you playing in two weeks.
- 25:04Speaker 7: I couldn't tell you. All I know is I got
- 25:06Speaker 7: a game coming up. I know where that game is,
- 25:09Speaker 7: I know what's important about it, and that I got
- 25:11Speaker 7: to show up. I gotta be ready to play the game,
- 25:14Speaker 7: the the series and the play. I mean, that's it,
- 25:18Speaker 7: boa and that's the focus that these guys need. You
- 25:20Speaker 7: got to stay ramrod straight with your desire to win
- 25:24Speaker 7: that next game, and that's going to come one play
- 25:26Speaker 7: at a time.
- 25:27Speaker 1: So you playoff games starting this weekend Saturday nine thirty pm.
- 25:31Speaker 1: So if you're in the car driving to your parents
- 25:33Speaker 1: or in laws wherever for Christmas.
- 25:35Speaker 5: You have no excuse.
- 25:36Speaker 1: You can hear Wolfie on the team on the TV
- 25:38Speaker 1: radio on or you can watch it on TV. Also, Craig,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I feek we'll be shotting a hopefully a lot more
- 25:44Speaker 1: going into the playoffs as well. I'm going to keep
- 25:45Speaker 1: the positive vibes up. Thank you for coming on you
- 25:48Speaker 1: you're a very very busy mom on. We will tut
- 25:49Speaker 1: to youson Happy Hollidays as well.
- 25:51Speaker 7: Oh, Merry Christmas to everybody and all the good folks
- 25:54Speaker 7: there and Ireland Man Steelers Nation, love y'all. Thank you
- 25:58Speaker 7: for having me on. I feel very I'm very grateful
- 26:02Speaker 7: to be able to spend some time with you guys,
- 26:03Speaker 7: So most humbly I say thank you for having me on.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Great to hear from Craig on the Irish series podcasts
- 26:09Speaker 1: and you can listen to that game against the Bengals,
- 26:12Speaker 1: which is this Saturday, nine thirty Irish time, boys OTV
- 26:16Speaker 1: radio and because it's that time. It's on Sky Sports
- 26:19Speaker 1: NFL as well. Jimmy, Look, first off, before we talk
- 26:22Speaker 1: about the fact that this is the must win game,
- 26:24Speaker 1: it's a huge game.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Beautiful, Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I mean when the schedule came out, make I circle
- 26:32Speaker 2: this game on my calendar because it's the day after
- 26:34Speaker 2: I finished work for Christmas.
- 26:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna have the fire on.
- 26:37Speaker 4: I'm gonna be in the sitting room having a nice drink,
- 26:42Speaker 4: hopefully and hopefully enjoying a victory.
- 26:45Speaker 2: All I want for Christmas is theeter win. So let's
- 26:49Speaker 2: see if they can pull it in. Look, it's gonna
- 26:51Speaker 2: be another close game, and.
- 26:53Speaker 4: You know, just shotting to Wolfe there, his positivity and
- 26:57Speaker 4: enthusy hasn't really really kind of meet me cheer up
- 27:01Speaker 4: a little bit. I mean, it was obviously a bit
- 27:04Speaker 4: down after the game there the weekend and then seeing
- 27:07Speaker 4: the news Occasey had been suspended the rest of the season.
- 27:10Speaker 3: I was in a little bit of a.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Spiral regarding the Steelers hopes for the rest of the season.
- 27:14Speaker 4: But definitely good to hear some some positive energy from
- 27:18Speaker 4: from wolf It's going to be challenging. I don't think
- 27:21Speaker 4: it's going to be an easy game, especially with the
- 27:23Speaker 4: Fisher quarterback. But all we can do and all they
- 27:27Speaker 4: can do is just keep plugging away and hopefully pull
- 27:32Speaker 4: off the win.
- 27:34Speaker 1: That's what I enjoyed so much about the interview. It's
- 27:37Speaker 1: like positivity, but it's also it's not shining away from
- 27:40Speaker 1: the fact that the last few weeks have been disappointed,
- 27:42Speaker 1: been very appointant, because you look at the situation day
- 27:45Speaker 1: of where there was three games there there was the
- 27:47Speaker 1: opportunity to pull away. We see last week that the
- 27:50Speaker 1: Bengals the Ravens both win, as well as the Browns
- 27:54Speaker 1: as well in a very close circumstance. And we look
- 27:57Speaker 1: at a game this week where the Bengals come into
- 28:00Speaker 1: this game hot with a backup quarterback, and that's annoying
- 28:04Speaker 1: because we obviously now either bringing a Mason Rudolph Candy's
- 28:06Speaker 1: not ready to go yet. There's so many ifs and buds,
- 28:09Speaker 1: But I guess trying to stay positive, everything flips if
- 28:14Speaker 1: the Seders win this game. Ever, in the flips, you
- 28:15Speaker 1: got games against the Seahawks and a game potentially against
- 28:18Speaker 1: the Ravens which could potentially be a game of rescue
- 28:22Speaker 1: for them. I'm not saying look, you go to win
- 28:24Speaker 1: every game in week EID team, but it's there for
- 28:27Speaker 1: them and after Saturday night, I'll take that at this point.
- 28:31Speaker 5: No, you just bought on Mike. It's like people were
- 28:35Speaker 5: saying about the Ravens. He knows they could have the
- 28:37Speaker 5: the FC number one seed wrapped up by then. I
- 28:39Speaker 5: think they did it a couple of years ago as well,
- 28:41Speaker 5: and the ended up pressing and they end up doing
- 28:42Speaker 5: one and done in the playoffs. So they've maybe learned from that.
- 28:45Speaker 5: But at the same time, just to sort of gole
- 28:48Speaker 5: what both of you have said there, it's just we've
- 28:50Speaker 5: got to you know, rense ourselves off, dost ourselves down,
- 28:54Speaker 5: and like at the end of the day, it's an opportunity,
- 28:56Speaker 5: different mission Rudolph to come in and if he gets
- 28:58Speaker 5: to win, then you know, for you know, we flipped
- 29:01Speaker 5: the table, as you said, you know, we've we've we've
- 29:03Speaker 5: put ourselves back in a strong position, you know. Just
- 29:05Speaker 5: on the Bengals, you know, Jake Brewnan, he's been playing,
- 29:07Speaker 5: you know, Joe Burrow obviously is completely different level, but
- 29:11Speaker 5: he's come in and he's absolutely seems to be fire
- 29:14Speaker 5: in a lot of senators, you know, he's not just
- 29:15Speaker 5: a drop back, you know, short and stant quarterback, which
- 29:18Speaker 5: we we got him and in his first week I
- 29:21Speaker 5: didn't look great, but he's had a massive bounce back.
- 29:24Speaker 5: So if we can you know, if as say, you know,
- 29:28Speaker 5: with the suspension as well as disappointing, it's not obviously
- 29:30Speaker 5: what we wanted the city, but even just listening about
- 29:33Speaker 5: what Wilf he's speaking about it as well, he's sort
- 29:36Speaker 5: of you know, put my opinion on turn the opinion
- 29:38Speaker 5: on a head as well. You know, I sort of
- 29:40Speaker 5: came in thinking, you know, off England, bad thoughts and
- 29:43Speaker 5: stuff like that, but what he was able to cheer
- 29:45Speaker 5: me up a bit. So I'm in a different sort
- 29:47Speaker 5: of headspace now after but I might hopeful that we
- 29:50Speaker 5: can obviously turn it back. And as you know Jimmy
- 29:52Speaker 5: said there, I'll be the same Ilb washing it with
- 29:54Speaker 5: a paid a Guinness in my hand, and if we
- 29:56Speaker 5: can win then I just it's only sort of odd
- 29:58Speaker 5: into the experience. So yeah, no, and let's let's just look,
- 30:02Speaker 5: let's sort of pop the bar on this behind us
- 30:04Speaker 5: and if we can come off, we'll win this weekend,
- 30:05Speaker 5: then I'll just say we're straight back in it and.
- 30:08Speaker 1: I enjoyed there.
- 30:10Speaker 2: It's it's definitely gonna be I think the key to
- 30:13Speaker 2: this game is going to be defensive ends and defensive
- 30:15Speaker 2: line because I think our secondary, particularly safeties, and I
- 30:20Speaker 2: look how banged up our safeties are right now.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Mink is Casey's thought. In the season he suspended.
- 30:25Speaker 4: We saw how much are inside linebackers struggled against the
- 30:29Speaker 4: run in the especially the last quarter of the game
- 30:32Speaker 4: against the cold. So I think we're gonna have to
- 30:35Speaker 4: like Wolf, you said the leaders in the locker room,
- 30:37Speaker 4: Cam Award, TJ. Watt, They're going to have to step
- 30:41Speaker 4: up even more than they have a lead from the
- 30:43Speaker 4: front and hopefully lead the charge in this game.
- 30:47Speaker 1: It's funny because going on with Jimmy said and going
- 30:50Speaker 1: going through that as well, Dave. One thing that Steelers
- 30:52Speaker 1: really struggled with on Saturday night, as we mentioned slightly,
- 30:55Speaker 1: is the run game just did not start for ward
- 30:57Speaker 1: or for logie. How do you start our How do
- 31:00Speaker 1: you start that against a stout Bengals defense. One that
- 31:03Speaker 1: will be looking at this team going well, they've won
- 31:05Speaker 1: or they've lost so many games out of the row,
- 31:07Speaker 1: they're low on confidence. This team's here for and they'll
- 31:10Speaker 1: they'll be thinking, this team's here for the take, and
- 31:12Speaker 1: so how do we get a run game established on
- 31:14Speaker 1: Saturday night?
- 31:15Speaker 5: Sort of like at the start of the season, Megal,
- 31:17Speaker 5: we remember how lethargic our run offense was the start,
- 31:21Speaker 5: but we managed to turn that around and they ended
- 31:23Speaker 5: up for the three four straight weeks. It was our
- 31:26Speaker 5: most important aspect. You know, Jalden Warren, he hasn't been
- 31:30Speaker 5: you know, the dynamic, tough runner he has. We've wanted
- 31:33Speaker 5: him to be in the past couple of weeks. It's
- 31:35Speaker 5: been well known, you know, with that Nauja him and
- 31:38Speaker 5: they've been sharing most of the stops, and you know,
- 31:40Speaker 5: this week we just couldn't get it going against the
- 31:42Speaker 5: coach defense that you know, they're not the greatest know orld,
- 31:45Speaker 5: of course, but it just seems like, you know, we
- 31:48Speaker 5: just couldn't get it going. And you know, just even
- 31:52Speaker 5: sort of going back in the coach game, you have
- 31:53Speaker 5: to give them a lot of credit. You know, at
- 31:54Speaker 5: the end of the day, what Shane Steikin's doing with them,
- 31:57Speaker 5: I mean he's potacity, you know, head coaches, you know,
- 32:00Speaker 5: the year of a ward if you like. So you know,
- 32:02Speaker 5: we can't beat ourselves up too much. We've got a big,
- 32:05Speaker 5: massive game. You know, I'm not entirely sure of having
- 32:07Speaker 5: looked at the starts, you know where their weakness lays.
- 32:09Speaker 5: But the same time, you know we've got to come
- 32:11Speaker 5: back and you know, if mission rightof can get us
- 32:14Speaker 5: to the win, and that's all the matters, and hopefully
- 32:16Speaker 5: before we know what, Canny packet suiting back up so
- 32:18Speaker 5: and just at the same way as it was before,
- 32:21Speaker 5: just ground and pound. If we can get that wrong
- 32:24Speaker 5: game going, it's going to be a massive positive.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Looking ahead to Saturday night, As I said, a game
- 32:28Speaker 1: is nine thirty Sky Sports, nfl OTB Sports. Really we're
- 32:31Speaker 1: going to have a podcast potentially Christmas eve boarding before
- 32:35Speaker 1: everyone was off for Christmas. Can't expect these boys going
- 32:38Speaker 1: on to Christmas Day for a pot as much as
- 32:40Speaker 1: we love it. And we are going to get if
- 32:42Speaker 1: it's not this week going, but the week after, we're
- 32:44Speaker 1: going to get a couple of fans all those ball
- 32:46Speaker 1: because we want to hear your thoughts not just on
- 32:48Speaker 1: the season, but just Everyham as well. So do you
- 32:50Speaker 1: reach out to his hashtag selters Ireland of after theaters
- 32:52Speaker 1: Areland if you'd like to do that Jimmy home game
- 32:55Speaker 1: Saturday night for US primetime, baby, But during the day
- 32:58Speaker 1: and the States, I'm gonna take a stout fourteen to
- 33:03Speaker 1: ten win the Statters. What's your thoughts?
- 33:08Speaker 2: Not too far off, Nick, Not too far off. I mean,
- 33:11Speaker 2: before we talk to Wolfe and before I came on,
- 33:13Speaker 2: I really was down in the dumbs. But you know,
- 33:16Speaker 2: I'm gonna have fai. They're going to keep the positive
- 33:18Speaker 2: vibes going and I'm gonna go Steelers twenty to seventeen.
- 33:22Speaker 3: It's gonna come down to the wire. I think T J.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Watt and the defensive front will do enough to throw
- 33:27Speaker 2: Browning off. I think next man up and will take
- 33:32Speaker 2: place in our safeties. I don't know what the hell
- 33:35Speaker 2: is gonna happen with Mason Rudolph and the receivers. I
- 33:37Speaker 2: think that's just gonna be who knows what's gonna happen there.
- 33:41Speaker 2: So I think our defense is gonna have to like
- 33:43Speaker 2: they've been doing all season. They're gonna have to carry
- 33:45Speaker 2: carry the offense. Well, yeah, somehow, some way, the Steers put.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Off a win.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Dave sand this home, are we gonna go flee? You
- 33:52Speaker 1: know and just be so positive? This week and just
- 33:54Speaker 1: go from there at the plan.
- 33:56Speaker 5: Of course, of course you weren't expecting me to defect us,
- 33:59Speaker 5: not Yance, but no, I'm all serious, Yeah, like it's
- 34:03Speaker 5: it's it's one of those where it's it's a bounce
- 34:05Speaker 5: back position. You know, the bank builds. They're probably due
- 34:08Speaker 5: to loss. I don't know how much have won the
- 34:09Speaker 5: row now, and if there's a team that can give
- 34:11Speaker 5: them a loss over history, it's it's the Pittsburgh Dealer.
- 34:14Speaker 5: So I ain't gonna come in. I'm gonna say seventeen
- 34:17Speaker 5: sixteen win by a single point, and I think it's
- 34:20Speaker 5: going to be a last minute failal from Boswell, believe
- 34:23Speaker 5: it or not. So that's that's that's my prediction, and
- 34:25Speaker 5: I normally say it. I won't say it well as
- 34:27Speaker 5: normally said it every week. Take this under the bank
- 34:29Speaker 5: and you're a very rich man if you do follow
- 34:32Speaker 5: my predictions, you sit. From from what you can.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Tell, Ozz did have a rare miss though against the Curls,
- 34:38Speaker 4: which is not like I'm considering that Lucas Oilfield is indoors.
- 34:41Speaker 2: So hopefully there's no more, no more at that this
- 34:45Speaker 2: time around in Boswell, we trust.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Boss we trust well.
- 34:49Speaker 1: We've seen punters kick this week as well, so I'm
- 34:53Speaker 1: confident that that comes to will be fine. Lads, like
- 34:57Speaker 1: the last couple of weeks, you've got to be back
- 34:59Speaker 1: feeling positive again. Just a big thanks everybody listening to
- 35:02Speaker 1: this podcast on the Island of Ireland. It's hard to
- 35:04Speaker 1: believe we're going in the week sixteen here. I just
