- 0:00Speaker 1: Tonight's program, we're going to talk about Bill Mercy, and
- 0:03we've talked about him several times on the program previously.
- 0:07But as you all know, I am certainly a stickler
- 0:09for context, and I certainly like to follow up on
- 0:13articles that we have read, if at all possible. So
- 0:18Bill Mercy is somebody that did time with Jeffrey Epstein,
- 0:22and he was also Paul Mattiford cellmate for a while now.
- 0:26Bill Mercy was enrolled in a program that they have
- 0:29where people like him who are involved in blue collar crimes, etc. Etc.
- 0:33Are able to go and be almost mentors to new
- 0:36people who are coming into the prison, people such as
- 0:38Jeffrey Epstein. So Bill Mersey was acting in his role
- 0:42in his capacity as one of these so called prison
- 0:46friends with Jeffrey Epstein and got to know Jeffrey Epstein
- 0:50pretty intimately. And according to Bill Mercy, he does not
- 0:54think that Jeffrey Epstein was murdered. He truly believes that
- 0:58Jeffrey Epstein killed him. So, you know, I like to
- 1:02always hear both sides of the argument, right, both sides
- 1:05of the conversation. It's very important that we have all
- 1:07the information that we can possibly gather. If we're going
- 1:11to make decisions and we're going to come to conclusions,
- 1:13we're going to need to have all of the information
- 1:15that's possible. So hearing from people like Bill Mercy's it
- 1:19adds more context, right, And I'll tell you what I'm
- 1:23You know how I feel, Folks here on the podcast,
- 1:25you know how I feel. I I'll go wherever the
- 1:27evidence pushes me. If evidence comes out that says that
- 1:31Epstein killed himself and its concrete evidence, and it's tangible
- 1:34and we can see it, and it's, you know, legit,
- 1:37I'm more than willing to say the man killed himself. Right.
- 1:40What I'm not willing to do is believe a narrative
- 1:43that's spoon fed to me by the Department of Justice
- 1:46and by their buddies in the legacy media. Zero chance
- 1:51that's going to occur. I need tangible evidence. What we
- 1:54have we forgotten how easily we were dog walked into Iraq?
- 2:00Have we forgotten all of the other BS lives that
- 2:02the government has told us, the federal government when they're
- 2:05trying to push a narrative forward. I'm certainly never gonna
- 2:09fall into that trap again if I can help it.
- 2:11So I'm going to need tangible evidence, and if that
- 2:14evidence can be provided, then I am more than willing
- 2:18to believe obviously that Jeffrey Epstein did in fact kill himself.
- 2:22But until we get to that point, I am of
- 2:25the mind that there are way too many coincidences that
- 2:28occurred in that jail, in that jail cell for this
- 2:31to be a simple case of suicide. So let's jump
- 2:34into the article from page six and see what they
- 2:38have to say about Bill Mercy and his relationship with
- 2:43Jeffrey Epstein. This article was authored by Cindy Adams. Bill
- 2:49Mercy was Paul Manifort's cellmate. Bill Mercy was also jeff
- 2:54Epstein's sell buddy. So is Bill Mercy writing a book
- 2:57you can bet your behind on it. Yeah. Of course,
- 3:00a guy like this, with the kind of knowledge that
- 3:02he has intimate knowledge of people like Manafort, people like
- 3:07Jeffrey Epstein. Of course he's going to parlay this into
- 3:10a book, and he should. Right. People are interested. People
- 3:12want to know what's going on beneath the curtain. People
- 3:15always want to know what's going on in situations like
- 3:18we see with Epstein or even Paul Manifort. That would
- 3:22be fascinating reading, right, So I could see why Bill
- 3:25Mercy would want to write a book here, and I'll
- 3:27tell you what, I'll probably buy it Mercy. When I
- 3:31was incarcerated in Downtown Metropolitan Correctional Center, we had a
- 3:35room companion program for monitoring prisoners who needed special protection
- 3:40or who might be on suicide watch. Inmates not professionals,
- 3:44got quick quasi training plus forty cents an hour to
- 3:47sit for a four hour watch, which included periodic check ins.
- 3:51I was its boss, the inmate companion coordinator. So that
- 3:55was the program I was talking about in the opening there.
- 3:59Guys like Bill Mercy were chosen specifically to do these
- 4:02jobs because they weren't violent, they weren't a threat to
- 4:05society for the most part, etc. Etc. So, according to
- 4:09the Department of Corrections, they thought that this would be
- 4:12a low risk way for them to save some money,
- 4:15not have to pay professionals obviously, and pay these other
- 4:19inmates forty cents an hour to sit and monitor high
- 4:22risk inmates such as Jeffrey Epstein. Now, I don't know
- 4:26how smart that is. I don't think it's a good idea.
- 4:30I don't care if somebody's in there for a blue
- 4:32collar crime or whatever it might be. You never know
- 4:36the pressure that somebody's facing once they're in a prison
- 4:39like that, and you never know if they're being pressured
- 4:42into action. I mean, you know, I'm not saying that,
- 4:45obviously not saying that Mercy had anything to do with
- 4:48Jeffrey Epstein's death, But I mean, if somebody has that
- 4:52sort of unfettered access to an inmate, and they're you know, bribed,
- 4:56or they're with the wrong people, how easily could they
- 5:00have the access to go ahead and harms an inmate
- 5:04like that? So I don't think it's a good idea
- 5:06from the Department of Corrections point of view to do
- 5:09something like this. And I don't know if the negatives
- 5:13out if the positives out weigh the negatives with a
- 5:15program like that. On the surface, at least to me,
- 5:17it seems like a bad idea. Why was he chosen?
- 5:22The short version is he was a college educated, nice
- 5:25Long Island Jewish boy, same background, same schooling as Epstein.
- 5:30The rest of the answers, excuse me, The rest of
- 5:33the answer is flunking arithmetic. He had been sentenced to
- 5:36a year end a day, so he was in there
- 5:39for a year end a day. That's what he was sentenced.
- 5:42That his time was one year and one day, and
- 5:45considering the short time, etc. Etc. I guess that's what
- 5:48motivates the prison system to go ahead with this program. Again,
- 5:53I don't know all of the details and the nuts
- 5:55and the bolts, and I'm sure if it was explained
- 5:58to me and it's you know, entire conception, or if
- 6:00I went and researched it in its entire conception, maybe
- 6:03I'd have a different understanding and a different opinion of it.
- 6:06But on the surface, I just think it's a bad
- 6:08idea to ever have access granted, unfettered access granted to
- 6:13high priority inmates when we don't know the motivations of
- 6:19those other inmates that are granted that sort of access.
- 6:22It's just it's kind of a bad idea. Daily routine
- 6:27was up at six point fifteen, breakfast, back to sleep, lunch,
- 6:30then five hours, then dinner. These room companion programs meant
- 6:34six four hour shifts daily, So this guy was quite busy. Huh.
- 6:39He was really raking in the bucks at forty cents
- 6:41an hour. Huh. The government sure is getting what they
- 6:43paid for, So leave it to the government to bit
- 6:46it out to the lowest contractor. Right, they do it
- 6:48all the time. You even see it with stuff like
- 6:50our space program. Yeah, let's bid it out to the
- 6:53lowest bidder. Because that sounds like a fantastic idea. I mean, really,
- 6:57come on, such a terrible idea. Epstein wasn't depressed, nor
- 7:02was he a diva. One on one, we talked about everything,
- 7:05we hung out. He even asked if I needed money,
- 7:08even about flying a private plane once with Donald Trump
- 7:10to Florida. I was like a kid he went to
- 7:13school with. He didn't ask dumb questions about my life,
- 7:16and seven pm to eleven I kept him entertained, normal conversation.
- 7:22And we know Epstein loved to brag, right, So I
- 7:24think it's a good idea for investigators to talk with
- 7:27Bill Mercy and see whatever tru whatever Epstein said. I
- 7:32think that they should get that from him and add
- 7:35it to their investigation. Anything about Trump, anything about Clinton,
- 7:39anything about any of these guys. Right, you never know
- 7:42where that nugget is going to land. You never know
- 7:45where that very important piece of evidence is going to
- 7:48come from. So you just got to compile all of
- 7:51the evidence and then go back over it when you're
- 7:54doing your investigation portion and put it all together, and
- 7:58you never know what sort of nugget you're gonna stumble
- 8:01upon that helps fit the pieces together. He was future oriented,
- 8:06like how am I going to survive? He did not
- 8:09appear suicidal nor visibly depressed. He'd sit on the toilet
- 8:13sideways to see me, then lying on his back he'd
- 8:15go to sleep. The incongruity was I'd see him drift
- 8:19off saying, oh my god, I'm going to be here
- 8:21for the rest of my f in life. But when
- 8:24the judge denied him Bell, he did obsess a little
- 8:26on how to handle prison life, but not my job
- 8:29to stress him. So of course Jeffrey Epstein was kinda
- 8:33he was a bit shook, right, He didn't he doesn't
- 8:36know what's gonna happen in prison, and by all rights
- 8:39he should have been shook. People like him, their shelf
- 8:42life is not very long in prison. So a guy
- 8:45like that, you know there's gonna be trepidation on his part.
- 8:48You know, he has some real deep, dark thoughts and
- 8:52fears that he's battling. And if he was ever put
- 8:55onto the mainline, onto the main yard, it wouldn't matter,
- 9:00be it the Mexican gangs or the Black gangs, or
- 9:03the White gangs, or just some independent vigilante type. Somebody
- 9:07would get to him, and somebody would make him pay
- 9:09for what he did. And Epstein knew that, and he
- 9:13knew his money could only go so far. Right, Eventually,
- 9:15one of these people were just gonna they were gonna
- 9:17shank them or stick them, or do whatever it is
- 9:19they do to people in prison, and that would be
- 9:21the end of it. And Epstein knew that, and he
- 9:24stressed those fears to mercy for sure. Truth is, he
- 9:29did try to do himself in once. When I saw
- 9:32he had marks on his neck. I asked what the
- 9:34f happened? He said, I got up to get a
- 9:36drink of water, and he did not elaborate on the lie. Well. Also,
- 9:40he also said that Tartaglioni attacked him. Let's not forget that.
- 9:43It seems like that's a part of the story that
- 9:45seems to get left out all of a sudden, but
- 9:48it shouldn't get left out. Tartaglioni was accused of attacking Epstein,
- 9:52and the only investigation we had was well by the
- 9:56prison system and do you really think we can trust
- 9:59them again, folks? I do not think that they have
- 10:02set a pattern that is one that we should trust
- 10:06without any sort of scrutiny, without asking questions, and without
- 10:10being skeptical. Right would they trust us if we just
- 10:12came to them and said, all right, well we're not guilty,
- 10:15that's it. You should just you know, get rid of
- 10:17the charges against us, drop charges. No, of course they'd
- 10:20want to see evidence. Well, we want to see the evidence.
- 10:22Department of Justice that then brought him into the special
- 10:26housing unit. It's for troublesome boys, or suicide cases, or
- 10:30those afraid of the general population. Because there were really dysfunctional,
- 10:34bad inmates there. So did Mercy believe Epstein did himself
- 10:37in or did any other source do him in? I
- 10:40didn't know those guards around him in that special housing unit.
- 10:43They were end of the line. Guys rotated, they punched
- 10:47the time clock, they were collegiate and hung out with inmates.
- 10:50It wasn't a crackerjack organization. When a wave of staff
- 10:53was brought in afterwards to assess what happened, they said,
- 10:56this is the worst run prison we've ever seen in
- 10:59our lives. That says a lot too, because there's a
- 11:01lot of shitthold dumps in this country prison wise, right,
- 11:06a lot of really terribly managed prisons, a lot of
- 11:09prisons that are understaffed, underfunded, under everything. And we pack
- 11:13all of these people in there with no hope of
- 11:17reforming their lives, and we expect them to come out
- 11:20and be better people, when in fact, we're just giving
- 11:24them more of an opportunity to become better criminals when
- 11:27we don't offer the proper resources. That unit is a
- 11:32detention a hole. You just sit in a corner, lock down,
- 11:36twenty three hours a day. The warden hadn't seen fit
- 11:39to put somebody in there with him, so there was
- 11:41nobody to stop them. It's been said the others heard
- 11:44Jeffrey Aran cheets that night. So do I believe Jeffrey
- 11:47Epstein committed suicide? My answer is yes. Discovery Channels Henry Schlife,
- 11:53our three part program Who Killed Jeffrey Epstein begins Sunday,
- 11:57May thirty, First Mercy. I haven't seen the footage, but
- 12:01I'm a principal character in it. Listen. I've done freelance
- 12:04writing before, so am I inclined to consider writing a book? Yes? Well,
- 12:09I don't blame him for that. He should write a book.
- 12:11And also Mercy's just going on what he thinks as well. Remember,
- 12:14he hasn't seen footage. The only person who's seen the
- 12:17footage supposedly is Attorney General bar and I have a
- 12:22problem believing what he's telling me. Sorry, all right. He
- 12:25hasn't established a track record of credibility in this case,
- 12:30not one that I'm willing to stand behind and say, hey,
- 12:32this guy has been honorable here and the Justice Department's
- 12:35doing the right thing, because they haven't, not in this case,
- 12:38not now, not ever. So I'm going to be skeptical
- 12:41until I see some action. Note to Leo DiCaprio, call
- 12:46your agent should this become a movie. The Manhattan Correctional
- 12:50Center prisoners will not be filmed in technic color. Their
- 12:53authentic uniforms will be shot and living dark brown only
- 12:57in New York kids only in New York. And that's
- 13:00kind of fitting to end the article that way as well,
- 13:03because I talk about New York all the time and
- 13:05how it's a shame that I find it to be
- 13:07such a cesspool, considering I live that, I was born there,
- 13:10and I'm from there, My family is from there, My
- 13:13roots are there. It's such a shame that New York
- 13:15so called high society thinks so less of everybody else.
- 13:19And it's also a shame that those very people in
- 13:22so called polite high society, those are the very people
- 13:26that are making the laws in New York City. If
