Transcript
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, everyone, This is Chris Farrah and welcome to Vanity
- 0:12Speaker 1: Fair with Chris Ferret's my podcast. It's my name and
- 0:16Speaker 1: also I host it. Hi, Happy New Year. How are
- 0:19Speaker 1: you all? I honestly cannot wait to get some great
- 0:22Speaker 1: guests back in the studio, but as it's been the
- 0:25Speaker 1: holiday season, I wanted to kind of give everyone grace,
- 0:29Speaker 1: including myself. I've been traveling to make sure that I
- 0:32Speaker 1: can get episodes out without having to worry about people's
- 0:36Speaker 1: schedules because it's hard. At the same time i've been traveling,
- 0:40Speaker 1: it's really me. I'm blaming other people. It's me, obviously.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I went to London and Paris for the holidays. It
- 0:45Speaker 1: was great. I've never been to any place besides my aunt,
- 0:51Speaker 1: uncle's house or my own house for Christmas, so it
- 0:53Speaker 1: was lovely to be abroad, abroad, abroad, you know what
- 0:57Speaker 1: I mean. And at the same time, I'm so excited
- 1:00Speaker 1: to be back. But let me tell you I had
- 1:04Speaker 1: so much fun. One cool thing that happened two years
- 1:08Speaker 1: ago was that I got to invest in a Broadway show.
- 1:14Speaker 1: One thing about me you should know is that I'm
- 1:16Speaker 1: a theater nerd. You know that now you do? I
- 1:19Speaker 1: was a theater arts major and I studied comedy. I
- 1:22Speaker 1: do a lot of comedy my whole life. And I
- 1:26Speaker 1: saw the off Broadway production of Oh Mary, written by
- 1:31Speaker 1: Cola Scola a couple of years ago, and I knew
- 1:34Speaker 1: that it was hilarious. It's very funny, very well written
- 1:39Speaker 1: and at farcicle, and I just was like, this is great.
- 1:43Speaker 1: And so when I was given an opportunity by my
- 1:46Speaker 1: friend Julie Boardman to invest with her in this musical,
- 1:51Speaker 1: we certainly did. And if you follow Broadway, it's been
- 1:55Speaker 1: a really big hit. Turns out it was a really
- 1:59Speaker 1: good investment. And I think that, first of all, I'm
- 2:03Speaker 1: lucky also be it's like the one thing that I
- 2:05Speaker 1: do know right, Like I know theater, I know comedy.
- 2:08Speaker 1: So it was a really awesome, awesome like moment for
- 2:14Speaker 1: me to be like, oh, I know that what's good,
- 2:16Speaker 1: and I know that it's funny, and I'm so happy
- 2:19Speaker 1: that other people do as well, like and for sure,
- 2:22Speaker 1: like as any sort of business woman or any sort
- 2:24Speaker 1: of like financial person, I was like, oh, impressed with myself,
- 2:27Speaker 1: but most so more so, most so, more so, Oh
- 2:31Speaker 1: Mary's success has been really exciting to watch as an
- 2:34Speaker 1: artist because I love camp comedy like I love it.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I love camp comedy. It's like a whole situation. I
- 2:41Speaker 1: love it so much. I think it's one done right,
- 2:45Speaker 1: which is grounded in truth. It's you know, subversive, it's smart,
- 2:52Speaker 1: and it's joyous. So if you get a chance to
- 2:56Speaker 1: see Oh Mary, I certainly would. I mean, obviously I
- 2:59Speaker 1: invested in it. But they opened the West End production
- 3:03Speaker 1: of it. I got to go to the opening, so
- 3:06Speaker 1: that's why I was in London. And then when I
- 3:07Speaker 1: was there, my dad went with me. I have no siblings,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and so we were just like, well, what are we
- 3:13Speaker 1: worrying about getting back to America for, Let's go to Paris.
- 3:15Speaker 1: And we certainly did. Oh my god, I ate so much,
- 3:18Speaker 1: so much cheese. I think I have like mild and
- 3:20Speaker 1: ezema breakout because of the cheese. But it's completely worth it.
- 3:24Speaker 1: At the same time, though, I'm so pumped to get
- 3:28Speaker 1: some fun guests back in to talk about dumb shows,
- 3:32Speaker 1: and dumb shows are on the docket for Today ninety
- 3:35Speaker 1: Day Fiance. It's Before the ninety Days. It's season eight,
- 3:38Speaker 1: episode four. It's gonna be a bumpy ride, Like, how
- 3:44Speaker 1: do you say that? Without saying like that it's gonna
- 3:47Speaker 1: be like a bumpy ride. That's I guess, Emma for you,
- 3:50Speaker 1: but it should be. It's gonna be a bumpy ride. Okay,
- 3:56Speaker 1: she told you she liked camp only mere seconds ago,
- 4:00Speaker 1: so that's what's happening. Thank you so much for tuning in.
- 4:04Speaker 1: This is my fourth episode as a solo podcast. If
- 4:08Speaker 1: you haven't yet, please give me five stars and just
- 4:10Speaker 1: let people know that you know you're enjoying what's happening here. Also,
- 4:13Speaker 1: you can follow me at Chris el Farah wherever you
- 4:17Speaker 1: follow people. I have a YouTube, I have a Patreon,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I have a sub stack, I have an Instagram, I
- 4:22Speaker 1: have a TikTok. It's Chris sel Fara on almost all platforms.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Can you believe it? All? Right, my loves, let's get
- 4:28Speaker 1: in to this very like long but good episode. And
- 4:34Speaker 1: we had so many people. Okay, Emma Anxiet or back,
- 4:38Speaker 1: but let's start with Lisa and Daniel. So Lisa we
- 4:41Speaker 1: surely met last episode and we're like, oh my God
- 4:44Speaker 1: obsessed with her and she know she has led a
- 4:48Speaker 1: life and that life has led itself to five marriages
- 4:54Speaker 1: and you know, God bless that's like one thing. And
- 4:57Speaker 1: I'm so happy that she has been able to express
- 5:02Speaker 1: herself and her sexuality in many different ways, and she's
- 5:04Speaker 1: been married, as she's told us to men and women,
- 5:08Speaker 1: and all of that is like awesome inspirational. Not not
- 5:13Speaker 1: that she can't, you know, find a person for the
- 5:16Speaker 1: rest of her life, but she's someone who certainly is
- 5:19Speaker 1: a relationship girl, and she's not afraid to go after
- 5:23Speaker 1: what she wants, and those things are prevalent now because
- 5:26Speaker 1: she is like a little schoolgirl obsessed with Daniel. It
- 5:30Speaker 1: doesn't bode well. I mean, this entire storyline is plucked
- 5:36Speaker 1: from the ninety day archetypal map of an elder seasoned
- 5:42Speaker 1: woman who is not quite ready to accept that it
- 5:47Speaker 1: takes certain things to entice a younger, hot male, and
- 5:53Speaker 1: that you know, in lieu of some of those things
- 5:55Speaker 1: like youth or you know, society standards of beauty, there
- 6:00Speaker 1: is like a false hope that love their own side
- 6:04Speaker 1: of the relationship, the love only they have for the person,
- 6:08Speaker 1: will somehow conquer it all. And you know what, it doesn't.
- 6:11Speaker 1: It doesn't. But listen, it makes great TV and we're
- 6:15Speaker 1: here to watch. You know. Lisa starts when she's packing,
- 6:20Speaker 1: and she's nervous and she's afraid, like, what's she gonna do?
- 6:23Speaker 1: She might pee when she sees him. That could happen,
- 6:26Speaker 1: and continence is an issue. I also we also know
- 6:30Speaker 1: that she wears wigs. She's already talked about that, and
- 6:32Speaker 1: she's not the first person on this episode Emma season
- 6:36Speaker 1: to wear one, and she does pack her brand new
- 6:40Speaker 1: wigs to wear. She also shows us her natural hair,
- 6:44Speaker 1: and her natural hair is like super thick. It's also
- 6:47Speaker 1: dyed like what looks like a beautiful color. There's some
- 6:50Speaker 1: dimension there. Sure it's not combed. Sure she didn't comb
- 6:53Speaker 1: it for this packing episode, but she doesn't need a
- 6:56Speaker 1: comb her hair anymore. She's like relying on these wigs.
- 6:59Speaker 1: She's got three brand new ones, and she's like, I
- 7:04Speaker 1: have to deal with a lot with these wigs. They
- 7:05Speaker 1: cause rashes and lots of sores. And we're like, oh
- 7:09Speaker 1: my god, why or if you wear a wig, are
- 7:13Speaker 1: they supposed to She's like, I'm gonna sleep in them,
- 7:16Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh, that's probably why. Hm. One thing
- 7:19Speaker 1: that's really sad that I can lay claim to is
- 7:24Speaker 1: Lisa is obsessed with the idea that Danielle Danielle Daniel.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I don't like I called him Danielle Daniel finds her
- 7:32Speaker 1: attractive and he's not right going to And that's sad.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I wish I didn't have to say it, but because
- 7:39Speaker 1: she knows that underneath it all she's obsessed with like
- 7:43Speaker 1: trying to pretend that's not gonna happen with these wigs.
- 7:46Speaker 1: It's not just the wigs, you know, that are that
- 7:50Speaker 1: her problems are. That are her problems. She also loves women,
- 7:53Speaker 1: and he loves women and he hates women who loves women,
- 7:57Speaker 1: And that's I there's the rub. One sad thing about
- 8:02Speaker 1: Lisa as well is that she has a complicated relationship
- 8:04Speaker 1: with her daughter, and it seems like her daughter seen
- 8:08Speaker 1: some shit and is still processing the trauma from that,
- 8:12Speaker 1: And we're like, no, well can you just can you
- 8:15Speaker 1: just also do some work on yourself, Lisa, Like what
- 8:19Speaker 1: is the work that has been done? Because if your
- 8:21Speaker 1: daughter can tell you that she has trauma from your
- 8:23Speaker 1: choices and you can look her in the face and
- 8:25Speaker 1: be like yep, it doesn't also seem like reasonable for
- 8:29Speaker 1: you to lie to her face by saying you won't
- 8:32Speaker 1: get married to a man that you are absolutely wanting
- 8:36Speaker 1: to get married to the Only thing stopping Lisa from
- 8:39Speaker 1: getting married to Daniel is not her daughter's absolute wish
- 8:43Speaker 1: that she won't. It's more so the fact that she
- 8:46Speaker 1: knows that if he knew, I mean one tenth the
- 8:50Speaker 1: actual Lisa, that he wouldn't get married to her. And
- 8:52Speaker 1: I don't even mean physically sure, Like the wig is
- 8:56Speaker 1: one thing. She doesn't even need the wig. She has
- 8:58Speaker 1: like very thick hair. She could grow it out. To me,
- 9:01Speaker 1: it's not a big deal. I have short hair too,
- 9:03Speaker 1: right now, it grows. But it's this she is still
- 9:08Speaker 1: legally married to a woman now. When she met Daniel online,
- 9:12Speaker 1: he was like, are you free to marry? And she
- 9:15Speaker 1: was like, yep, totally free. Uh huh free, free, free,
- 9:20Speaker 1: just like a day after Christmas sale. Shit's free here,
- 9:23Speaker 1: you know. And no, she is nine years separated from
- 9:27Speaker 1: her wife, and as she decides to hurry up and
- 9:31Speaker 1: go to Nigeria, she like entrusts her daughter to get
- 9:37Speaker 1: this certified divorce letter and then have to turn it
- 9:40Speaker 1: around and mail it to her so that she can
- 9:43Speaker 1: prove to this man that she's no longer married and
- 9:46Speaker 1: to a woman. Lisa is too old too seasoned, But
- 9:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna stay old because I'm mad at her to
- 9:52Speaker 1: let some young dumb man make her feel like she
- 9:57Speaker 1: has to change her whole fucking life and lie to
- 9:59Speaker 1: him to feel loved. Lisa, it's too late for you,
- 10:04Speaker 1: and I mean this to play around with dumb shit
- 10:08Speaker 1: like that. You've been married five fucking times. Why do
- 10:11Speaker 1: you not know that people either love you or they don't.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Like that's it. People either see or love you, accept
- 10:20Speaker 1: it all, or they don't. You can't hide like your
- 10:24Speaker 1: traits you think are unlovable or lie to them and
- 10:26Speaker 1: think that's going to work. That's insane. It really is,
- 10:31Speaker 1: it really is. And what's upsetting even more is that
- 10:35Speaker 1: is that I guess that her daughter has to watch
- 10:37Speaker 1: it all. I mean, that's it, and her daughter knows
- 10:41Speaker 1: half of me. Is like, if the only good thing
- 10:43Speaker 1: that happens from this whole season is that Lisa's daughter
- 10:45Speaker 1: gets a fucking like breath of fresh air away from
- 10:49Speaker 1: Lisa's trauma and Lisa's insecurity to finally, like make some
- 10:54Speaker 1: friends that love themselves so she has an honest chance
- 10:57Speaker 1: at this world at feeling good or fine or surviving.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I mean, you have to like, find a way to
- 11:04Speaker 1: just be okay with yourself and not give a fuck
- 11:07Speaker 1: what anyone else thinks. Because you like yourself, because you
- 11:10Speaker 1: love yourself, because you feel like you're a good person,
- 11:14Speaker 1: and you can't be told differently. Why why is it
- 11:17Speaker 1: like so difficult for people to love themselves. I don't
- 11:23Speaker 1: know what Lisa's issue is, because on one side of it,
- 11:27Speaker 1: I'm like, I've never been married to me. I'm like,
- 11:30Speaker 1: you should feel lovable only in that you found five
- 11:33Speaker 1: people to love you, or at least pretend to you
- 11:35Speaker 1: enough to get married. I would assume that the self
- 11:37Speaker 1: confidence garnered from just other people claiming you would give
- 11:41Speaker 1: you like some semblance of your own self love in
- 11:45Speaker 1: this world. But it hasn't. For Lisa, it certainly hasn't.
- 11:48Speaker 1: And I wasn't there for those relationships, although her daughter was.
- 11:52Speaker 1: And again like, this is a again the best possible
- 11:57Speaker 1: ninety a fiance situation where you're like, oh, it's horrible
- 12:00Speaker 1: and she has no idea what's going to happen and
- 12:03Speaker 1: it's bad news, and also be like, please don't make
- 12:07Speaker 1: me sit through this again. I can't. It's true, it's true,
- 12:11Speaker 1: Like it's traumatic for me to watch Lisa and I'm
- 12:14Speaker 1: not her daughter. I'm just another woman living in this world.
- 12:18Speaker 1: And also having had watched fourteen billion offshoots of four
- 12:23Speaker 1: hundred and sixty nine You're Welcome season of Nona Day Fiance,
- 12:27Speaker 1: where I'm like, oh my god, so we get the
- 12:30Speaker 1: she's obviously on her way to Nigeria, and the twenty
- 12:33Speaker 1: four hours little jump back we get is of Daniel.
- 12:36Speaker 1: He calls himself a Christian Igbo man Igbo. I'm so
- 12:40Speaker 1: sorry if I said that wrong. They love competition, they
- 12:43Speaker 1: love to work hard. Now what's interesting is it's always
- 12:46Speaker 1: interesting when to me when there is kind of a
- 12:51Speaker 1: marriage between what is a people and like culture and
- 12:55Speaker 1: lineage that has nothing to do with Christianity, but obviously
- 13:00Speaker 1: got people missionaries that came to their part of the
- 13:04Speaker 1: world and preached Christianity, and some people were like, Okay,
- 13:09Speaker 1: we'll buy it, we'll sign up, but we're not gonna
- 13:12Speaker 1: let go like loving our gods. Like I find that
- 13:15Speaker 1: so interesting. And I do like because I was obviously
- 13:18Speaker 1: raised Catholic, and some Christians are like Catholics are a Christian,
- 13:21Speaker 1: but that's not true, and we are and they are.
- 13:25Speaker 1: And you know, one thing, about having to like submit
- 13:29Speaker 1: to like Christianity is, you're supposed to definitely be like
- 13:32Speaker 1: God and Jesus, not even Mary, fuck her. We don't
- 13:36Speaker 1: like women. But God and Jesus are the God. It's
- 13:40Speaker 1: one in the Holy Spirit, sometimes two, and they've been
- 13:42Speaker 1: fighting over that Holy spirit one billion times. But Christians
- 13:46Speaker 1: are like, we will you know, we're not gonna worship
- 13:49Speaker 1: false gods. We like just that one. And so obviously
- 13:53Speaker 1: Daniel's People is not the only like Christian group that
- 13:59Speaker 1: subscribe to Christianity, and was also like, no, we got
- 14:02Speaker 1: our own deal too. We're gonna have some brujaja, we're
- 14:04Speaker 1: gonna have some witches, We're gonna have like some pagan shit,
- 14:08Speaker 1: and we will just marry the both. Yes, we're Christian.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Also we talk to God's through this spiritual healer. I
- 14:17Speaker 1: like that because it's hypocritical, and then therefore it almost
- 14:22Speaker 1: does seem kind of like christian Y. Right, Listen, the
- 14:25Speaker 1: Christians out there that live by what Jesus said is
- 14:28Speaker 1: to love thy neighbor as thyself and don't throw stones
- 14:32Speaker 1: and all that stuff, if they could just get a
- 14:35Speaker 1: little bit of a louder voice in politics or whatnot,
- 14:39Speaker 1: I certainly would talk less shit, but that's not what's happening.
- 14:43Speaker 1: So great, okay. So he's like, so this is what's up.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I'm a great catch, very close to my family, except
- 14:52Speaker 1: that my mom died, and so let me tell you,
- 14:54Speaker 1: I'm still close to her. And she told me a
- 14:56Speaker 1: couple of things that one time she was in war
- 14:58Speaker 1: and the only way in which she survived that was
- 15:00Speaker 1: that a white woman saved her from it. And so
- 15:03Speaker 1: before she died, she was like, you find yourself the
- 15:06Speaker 1: white woman that's going to save you, and Daniel did.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Now Daniel is like, great, I found an old white
- 15:13Speaker 1: woman who has boobs and money and she pays for
- 15:15Speaker 1: my life. And I'd tell you that she has boobs
- 15:16Speaker 1: and it's great, She's perfect for me. I'm just going
- 15:20Speaker 1: to go talk to this spiritual person and find out
- 15:23Speaker 1: if she's a good or bad omen And that spiritual
- 15:25Speaker 1: person is like, yeah, I'll talk to the ancestors slash gods.
- 15:28Speaker 1: We we actually believe in because we've been doing this
- 15:31Speaker 1: shit longer than when the missionaries came here. We just
- 15:33Speaker 1: had to like say yes to those crazy Bansheese to
- 15:35Speaker 1: get whatever fucking food and money they were giving and
- 15:37Speaker 1: the minute they loved like yep, Christians. And also let's
- 15:40Speaker 1: get back to the real real religion here, which is
- 15:43Speaker 1: I'm going to go speak to a spiritual man who's
- 15:45Speaker 1: going to do some dice rolling honey in a cave
- 15:50Speaker 1: and tell you what they think. And he is just
- 15:53Speaker 1: like rolling this dice and he's like, you tell me,
- 15:57Speaker 1: ancestors and gods, I'm not deaf, and listen and you
- 16:00Speaker 1: eat that. You take that, and you tell me and
- 16:03Speaker 1: the gods did. They're like, well, guess what that, Well,
- 16:06Speaker 1: white woman's a good good sign. Now want to I
- 16:10Speaker 1: want to say that we know Lisa isn't, but I
- 16:12Speaker 1: want to think that like maybe the white woman that
- 16:15Speaker 1: the ancestors and God saw was like one of the
- 16:17Speaker 1: producers of nand Fiance, Like maybe that's what they saw
- 16:21Speaker 1: and they're like, yeah, it's a great thing that they're coming,
- 16:22Speaker 1: and like you'll be famous, so you'll be on TV
- 16:24Speaker 1: and you know you can maybe get some sort of
- 16:27Speaker 1: opportunity from that. But I can't imagine Lisa is only
- 16:29Speaker 1: because we know all the things about Lisa. Yeah, Daniel
- 16:32Speaker 1: is not a Daniel is like we don't like homosexuals here.
- 16:36Speaker 1: We don't believe in it, and so no one can
- 16:38Speaker 1: do it and we cast them out of the village. Well,
- 16:41Speaker 1: I wonder how many times Lisa had to hear that
- 16:43Speaker 1: and then just smile and like swallow. I don't one
- 16:47Speaker 1: other thing about her. It's not just the gay thing,
- 16:49Speaker 1: and that part is like one thing, but another thing
- 16:52Speaker 1: that I wasn't expecting and neither were you. Was like,
- 16:55Speaker 1: here's the problems with Lisa. One she vape. Okay, first
- 16:59Speaker 1: of all, I think like everyone vapes. Uh now, okay,
- 17:03Speaker 1: I mean if they're not vaping or spoking cigarettes. Oh
- 17:05Speaker 1: my god, everyone's booking cigarettes again, have you noticed? Okay,
- 17:07Speaker 1: he's you know, lived the world and it's different from ours,
- 17:13Speaker 1: and everyone has their judgments. It's so interesting. It's interesting
- 17:18Speaker 1: because Daniel is like, I'm so thankful that she pays
- 17:21Speaker 1: for everything, and I want to be like, okay, yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 1: I get that. It's funny to me to have someone
- 17:29Speaker 1: offer to pay for my whole life and then be like,
- 17:32Speaker 1: but you better not do the things I don't like
- 17:35Speaker 1: you to do. Don't leave the seat down, wait, lead
- 17:39Speaker 1: the seat up. Sorry, that's what it is. Don't put
- 17:42Speaker 1: the toilet paper roll where the paper comes out from
- 17:46Speaker 1: the bottom. It just seems like if you are operating
- 17:49Speaker 1: in a place of absolute gratitude for someone to pay
- 17:53Speaker 1: for your whole life and change your life, I would
- 17:57Speaker 1: try and like hinder any preconceived notions about what they
- 18:01Speaker 1: can't do. That's just me. Listen, he really likes those
- 18:07Speaker 1: boobs though, He's like, she's got them, and that's what
- 18:10Speaker 1: I want. She's got secrets. Those boobs are full of secrets,
- 18:15Speaker 1: daniel And you know what, many people have loved those boobs.
- 18:18Speaker 1: They've squeezed them and they've grabbed them, and you gotta
- 18:22Speaker 1: be okay with all those people. I wonder how many
- 18:24Speaker 1: times I wonder how many sexual partners Danielle thinks that
- 18:27Speaker 1: Lisa's had, just knowing that her age alone, Like, is
- 18:30Speaker 1: he gonna be like, you've had more than two? You know,
- 18:33Speaker 1: just the person you had a baby with and maybe
- 18:35Speaker 1: one other. You're the person you just got divorced from
- 18:38Speaker 1: a man. I don't know. Again, this is so shitty,
- 18:43Speaker 1: and it's shitty because of the fact that she has
- 18:47Speaker 1: a kid. It's always so shitty when they have kids.
- 18:50Speaker 1: And I don't even care how old they are, but truly,
- 18:53Speaker 1: obviously her kid is older. It's just that she lied
- 18:55Speaker 1: to her daughter, and they have a code pendant relationship,
- 18:58Speaker 1: and she's already traumatized her daughter. So if you're gonna
- 19:01Speaker 1: traumatize your daughter, don't lie to her. And at the
- 19:03Speaker 1: same time, Lisa's daughter has to watch this if she
- 19:06Speaker 1: doesn't know her mom and understand that her mom is
- 19:10Speaker 1: a lying sack of insecure shit. I know I'm being
- 19:14Speaker 1: harsh towards Lisa. It's just that I think that when
- 19:18Speaker 1: you take the responsibility of like caring for and raising
- 19:21Speaker 1: someone else, you have to be good about your word,
- 19:26Speaker 1: and you have to try to be like a good person,
- 19:30Speaker 1: not just for yourself now, but for them. And Lisa
- 19:34Speaker 1: has like, you know, the mental emotional IQ of someone
- 19:38Speaker 1: who is like almost like a heavily sheltered fourteen year
- 19:43Speaker 1: old that has lived in a cult and is like
- 19:46Speaker 1: wanting to get away from the cult by pretending that
- 19:49Speaker 1: it's all going to work out with obviously one bad
- 19:52Speaker 1: choice where you're like no, but I understand because you've
- 19:54Speaker 1: never known anything and you think this person's your way out.
- 19:57Speaker 1: But Lisa's obviously had five different weighs out. It's really
- 20:01Speaker 1: hard to deal with. And I also feel like, yeah,
- 20:06Speaker 1: I want her so badly to just be with a
- 20:08Speaker 1: hot lesbian that will allow her to have the normal
- 20:11Speaker 1: hair that she wants. She is obsessed with Daniel in
- 20:13Speaker 1: like his physical form, and so maybe she wants to
- 20:17Speaker 1: be with a man again for sure. But I mean
- 20:19Speaker 1: I think that there's a part of Lisa that really
- 20:21Speaker 1: has to understand that she should find someone that like
- 20:23Speaker 1: is a little more on her page. And I mean
- 20:26Speaker 1: that across the board. I mean like someone who has
- 20:31Speaker 1: lived a life, has some more years on them, who
- 20:33Speaker 1: maybe isn't as physically attractive, and who probably doesn't need
- 20:36Speaker 1: her money as much. Like that's what she needs to find.
- 20:40Speaker 1: And I wish to God that at some point that
- 20:43Speaker 1: at a certain age, we were all gifted like a
- 20:45Speaker 1: level of wisdom so that we don't make like horrible
- 20:48Speaker 1: choices over and over again. It's really hard to watch
- 20:52Speaker 1: someone do so, like, especially at an elder age, because
- 20:56Speaker 1: then if you're someone like me, you're like, well, am
- 20:58Speaker 1: I going to do that? Am I going to just
- 20:59Speaker 1: live in a fucking delusional world where I suddenly pretend
- 21:02Speaker 1: to fall in love with someone who obviously isn't for
- 21:04Speaker 1: me When I'm sixty goddamn seven and just like wants
- 21:07Speaker 1: to pretend that I'm with like a twenty two year
- 21:08Speaker 1: old from Columbia. I mean, no is the answer. But
- 21:11Speaker 1: also I wonder if Lisa is just like underneath it all,
- 21:16Speaker 1: I have been so supremely unhappy that I'm willing to
- 21:20Speaker 1: risk everything, my reality, my own like hopes and dreams,
- 21:26Speaker 1: like how I'll feel at the end of this under
- 21:29Speaker 1: a morsel of hope that some man is going to
- 21:33Speaker 1: like I guess, marry me, claim me, and then live
- 21:37Speaker 1: happily ever after with me. I wonder what Daniel's mom thinks.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I feel like Daniel's mom has to come through with
- 21:43Speaker 1: that spiritual healer and be like I didn't mean her,
- 21:45Speaker 1: I didn't mean that white woman. Can you go back
- 21:48Speaker 1: on plenty of fish? Can you find another one? Or
- 21:51Speaker 1: go to like Farmers only? I need you to like
- 21:53Speaker 1: marry like a I mean, like a conservative one, honey,
- 21:56Speaker 1: like I don't know. Okay, let's move on. Uh oo, Okay,
- 22:01Speaker 1: let's move on to a brand new couple, Jovon from
- 22:04Speaker 1: Alabama and Aneline. So we start off and we have
- 22:10Speaker 1: a very fun atmosphere. It's already like a good time
- 22:14Speaker 1: and the good time is bingo with old people. I
- 22:17Speaker 1: love bingo and I love old people, oh my god.
- 22:19Speaker 1: And so does Devon too. He's like, let me tell you, honey,
- 22:21Speaker 1: it's pure fucking comedy with them. They have absolutely no filter.
- 22:25Speaker 1: And I'm like, well, then can they tell you about
- 22:26Speaker 1: how you might need some help anyway? God bless he
- 22:30Speaker 1: comes in to this old folks home with lemonade. It
- 22:34Speaker 1: is not just bargain basement lemonade. He's at least if
- 22:39Speaker 1: it's not freshly you know, freshly squeezed, it's been doctored
- 22:42Speaker 1: up with fresh lemon slices and herbs. And I found
- 22:47Speaker 1: that to be delightful. Ah. I was so happy for
- 22:51Speaker 1: these people. Honey, they're gonna have like just not some
- 22:54Speaker 1: country crop. I'm not gonna have just some minute made lemonade, honey,
- 22:57Speaker 1: no country crock made lemonade. But they're gonna have what
- 23:00Speaker 1: felt like mint or basil. And this one nice lady
- 23:05Speaker 1: is like I tell you.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I met my husband. He was a soldier and then
- 23:11Speaker 2: on our first date, he went to a fair and
- 23:14Speaker 2: he bought me this ring. It's a rose ring and
- 23:17Speaker 2: I still have it, and.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I was like, oh my god. First of all humble brag.
- 23:23Speaker 1: He just kidding. It was a lot easier I guess
- 23:27Speaker 1: to just like meet the love of your life back then,
- 23:29Speaker 1: or you just settled real hardcore and you didn't ask
- 23:32Speaker 1: any questions. I'm not quite sure which one it was,
- 23:34Speaker 1: but this lady did it. I loved her for a
- 23:36Speaker 1: bunch of reasons. A her eyebrows. B Because my grandmother
- 23:40Speaker 1: also married a soldier. My grandmother. It's like such a
- 23:43Speaker 1: crazy story that I'm gonna say real fast is from Oakdale, Louisiana,
- 23:47Speaker 1: where Oakus king and Pinus Queen, that's the phrase. And
- 23:53Speaker 1: she's Syrian, like very Syrian, but her dad was her
- 23:57Speaker 1: parents are Syrian. I mean she obviously her parents are
- 24:01Speaker 1: born in Syria. She is born on the boat coming
- 24:04Speaker 1: from fucking Syria, but she lands in Louisiana, so she
- 24:07Speaker 1: never has an Arabic accent, and she just has a
- 24:10Speaker 1: Southern accent her whole life. She's like in the middle
- 24:13Speaker 1: of ten kids and they're just kicking it up in Louisiana.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Now at this point, it's like the nineteen thirties forties, right.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I found this so interesting because I knew there was
- 24:25Speaker 1: like Arabs in the South, but when I went to Clarksdale, Mississippi,
- 24:32Speaker 1: which is not where Louisiana is, but obviously you know,
- 24:35Speaker 1: somewhat some south, somewhat south Mississippi Delta. I got to
- 24:39Speaker 1: like heavily be where Tennessee Williams wrote all his plays,
- 24:42Speaker 1: and he there there was a lot of Syrians. They
- 24:47Speaker 1: talk about the Syrians and the white people and the
- 24:50Speaker 1: black people around this area and like, wo how everything
- 24:53Speaker 1: came to be or whatever. Clarksdale's a very interesting town.
- 24:56Speaker 1: If you watch Centers, that's Clarksdale. It's a birthplace of blues. Also,
- 25:00Speaker 1: as I said today Sue Williams, going back, I didn't
- 25:02Speaker 1: think about like how many Syrians there were. There wasn't
- 25:06Speaker 1: a Syria Lebanon yet because it was just called Greater
- 25:10Speaker 1: Syria because you know, other people decided to just make borders,
- 25:16Speaker 1: and then Lebanon was born. And a lot of Christians
- 25:19Speaker 1: will call themselves Lebanese when they're in fact Syrian, just
- 25:22Speaker 1: because a lot of Christians Lebanon and that's how they decide.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Because you know, people are feudal people, as you can tell.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I tend to hang out with like minded people, and
- 25:32Speaker 1: religious religious divides are along those things all that to say,
- 25:36Speaker 1: my grandmother is living in Louisiana in the war, there's
- 25:39Speaker 1: like people that are stationed in the war, soldiers and
- 25:42Speaker 1: some of the Syrian soldiers, because they're Syrian soldiers, they
- 25:45Speaker 1: are told that there's a part of Oakdale, Louisiana where
- 25:48Speaker 1: there's a lot of Syrians, so that if they go
- 25:49Speaker 1: into town, they can be expected to be like hosted
- 25:53Speaker 1: by people, you know, cousins, not really, but you know,
- 25:56Speaker 1: by people that know them or know their family. So
- 26:00Speaker 1: there would be Syrian soldiers that would go into her town,
- 26:03Speaker 1: and then just other Syrian household would just open up
- 26:07Speaker 1: their homes and be like, come on in for dinner.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Here's some kefta, here's some hummus, here's some tabuli. We
- 26:13Speaker 1: know what you like. Thank you for fighting for America,
- 26:15Speaker 1: the land that we're all in now. And my grandmother
- 26:20Speaker 1: met a Syrian soldier in her small ass fucking town,
- 26:25Speaker 1: and then for the rest of my grandmother's life she
- 26:27Speaker 1: was like, you marry another Syrian too, it's super easy.
- 26:30Speaker 1: And I'm like, Grandma, I don't know, Grandma, okay. So
- 26:37Speaker 1: it worked out for my grandmother, though it worked out
- 26:39Speaker 1: for this nice lady at the bingo home. I don't
- 26:41Speaker 1: know if she's gonna get bingo, but it feels like
- 26:44Speaker 1: in her life she already did. Javan is waiting for
- 26:47Speaker 1: his bingo to come up. Honey, Javon tells us his story.
- 26:49Speaker 1: He's like, it's hard out there for me. Women nowadays,
- 26:53Speaker 1: American women, they want a six pack, they want six
- 26:57Speaker 1: figures and they want six inches and I don't have that.
- 27:02Speaker 1: And we're like, wow, that's a lot of information about
- 27:05Speaker 1: your dick. We didn't know. Oh no, Javon, I mean
- 27:08Speaker 1: we can talk about this, Okay, let's let's break this down.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I personally have never wanted a man with a six pack,
- 27:15Speaker 1: and I feel like society in the Internet has made
- 27:19Speaker 1: it perfectly fucking clear that a lot of women don't
- 27:23Speaker 1: need like a hard bodied man. In fact, we kind
- 27:25Speaker 1: of like a little bit of a dad body, or
- 27:27Speaker 1: a little bit of softness at least I do. I mean,
- 27:32Speaker 1: maybe if you are like a very fit person, I
- 27:36Speaker 1: mean very fit, I mean like a very low percentage
- 27:39Speaker 1: of body fat. Yeah, maybe you're like I also want
- 27:42Speaker 1: people with low percentage of body fat, But that's not me,
- 27:45Speaker 1: and I don't feel like a lot Javonne. I don't
- 27:47Speaker 1: think a lot of women around him are like, we
- 27:50Speaker 1: won't tolerate you because of the way you look. Because
- 27:53Speaker 1: he's attractive. He's like, you know, tall, attractive, he's kind
- 27:57Speaker 1: of he has a great face, he has great hair. Like,
- 27:58Speaker 1: there's nothing about his physicalness that would make him to
- 28:04Speaker 1: me that he should feel insecure. But he tells us
- 28:07Speaker 1: this line, the six back line. We're like, okay, six figures.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Now he's like, I don't make a lot of money
- 28:11Speaker 1: in this home, and that makes me sad because I
- 28:16Speaker 1: love how he's caring for these older people, and I
- 28:18Speaker 1: feel like he should be compensated. And I'm going to
- 28:21Speaker 1: agree with him that women want a man that has
- 28:23Speaker 1: financial means. Yes, that is the one. Yes, we do
- 28:27Speaker 1: women and this is a generalization, but cisgender, heterosexual, whatever,
- 28:32Speaker 1: God bless, Yes, they usually want a man that has
- 28:36Speaker 1: financial security. But you know who doesn't, Lisa. You know
- 28:39Speaker 1: who doesn't, Laura. These women can't believe how lucky they
- 28:43Speaker 1: are to be with men that have no money, not
- 28:46Speaker 1: one figure, not one figure anyway, Javon, So you're right,
- 28:51Speaker 1: And then he says the six inchest thing, and we're like, oh,
- 28:53Speaker 1: what a weird way to say, you have a small dick,
- 28:56Speaker 1: and how small is it? Why do you feel insecure
- 28:58Speaker 1: about it? Okay, the number is the sixty six and
- 29:01Speaker 1: six is a devil's number, huh. But also be as
- 29:05Speaker 1: some throwback. Obviously as a female, I can say that
- 29:09Speaker 1: there has been also things that we have been told
- 29:11Speaker 1: that men want. And I can tell you numbers five, three,
- 29:16Speaker 1: under one, ten that was like something that like in
- 29:18Speaker 1: the fifties and sixties men wanted, and then from like
- 29:21Speaker 1: the fifties and sixties until now it felt like oh
- 29:25Speaker 1: twenty or thirty six, twenty four, thirty six right. For
- 29:28Speaker 1: some reason, it's very well known that men like love
- 29:34Speaker 1: hot women, and there are you know, it is true
- 29:39Speaker 1: for me that the size I am has affected the
- 29:45Speaker 1: the I guess, the flirtation and or dates I've been
- 29:50Speaker 1: asked on, or the way men treat me. I feel
- 29:53Speaker 1: confident in saying that. So for Javon, I'm like, I
- 29:57Speaker 1: think you really only have to worry about the figures
- 30:00Speaker 1: the money, because I even think that there's like women
- 30:02Speaker 1: who are like yes, I think they're women that are
- 30:05Speaker 1: like size queens. And I also think that women are like, eh,
- 30:08Speaker 1: that's fine. What else can you do, you know, and
- 30:11Speaker 1: what else can he do in bed? He could easily
- 30:14Speaker 1: make that up. We find out that he is married,
- 30:19Speaker 1: which is interesting because this is supposed to be before
- 30:21Speaker 1: the ninety days, and it kind of is in that
- 30:23Speaker 1: they've never met, and also it's it's she's not we're
- 30:27Speaker 1: not talking about a visa yet. But the reason why
- 30:30Speaker 1: they got married was because a Anna was like, you
- 30:33Speaker 1: can easily come into the country if you're a spouse
- 30:36Speaker 1: or family, and this is how you do it. Now,
- 30:39Speaker 1: what happened was they found an online marrying place. They
- 30:43Speaker 1: get married online, and then COVID happens, and again he
- 30:46Speaker 1: doesn't have the money so he can't go to the Philippines,
- 30:48Speaker 1: and then years go by. They've been married, he says,
- 30:51Speaker 1: for two years, and she's like, no, he's dumb. It's
- 30:54Speaker 1: almost three. But it's a six year relationship. And she's
- 30:58Speaker 1: also like he is to look at honey, he is yummers.
- 31:04Speaker 1: He's like, I had doubts about her, but I also
- 31:07Speaker 1: had faith. And when you know, you know, I wonder
- 31:09Speaker 1: if like Lisa heard that. She's like, yeah, you know,
- 31:11Speaker 1: you know. He also says when he first met her,
- 31:14Speaker 1: it was like super positive vibes, but unfortunately, he says
- 31:17Speaker 1: she has changed, and then she says, honey, that she
- 31:22Speaker 1: didn't change, She just doesn't like to be controlled and
- 31:26Speaker 1: she doesn't want to be like a typical submissive person.
- 31:29Speaker 1: She literally says, men's do not control me in obviously
- 31:34Speaker 1: a way we've heard before, and we respect it. Men's
- 31:38Speaker 1: don't control me either. Girl. I don't like this because
- 31:42Speaker 1: we start to realize that there's like this storyline of
- 31:46Speaker 1: her being crazy or abrasive or whatnot, but what is
- 31:50Speaker 1: making it happen is his shittiness. So he's out shopping
- 31:56Speaker 1: with his sister, Ashley, who is cute and has her
- 31:58Speaker 1: shit together because she has adorable tortoise shell glasses on
- 32:03Speaker 1: so she can see what's happening. And she also picks
- 32:05Speaker 1: out a shirt for him that is hideous, which I
- 32:08Speaker 1: also feel like she knew it was bad. It's purple.
- 32:11Speaker 1: It looks like it looks like again, one of those
- 32:14Speaker 1: I don't know why I say it again. It looks
- 32:15Speaker 1: like one of those weird art pieces like from the
- 32:19Speaker 1: nineties where you have to look at it and then
- 32:20Speaker 1: fuck up your eyes and then like something pops out
- 32:23Speaker 1: at you in the middle. It's like geographic, it's gross.
- 32:27Speaker 1: He buys it knowing it's gross. She's like, here's the thing.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Your wife calls me, like while I'm at my work
- 32:34Speaker 1: and I can't get off the phone, and she's complaining
- 32:37Speaker 1: about you and some woman. Now half of me is like, Ashley,
- 32:40Speaker 1: watch you pick up the phone. If you're at work,
- 32:42Speaker 1: that's on you. That's a boundary. If you don't want
- 32:44Speaker 1: to talk, then don't pick up the phone. Or if
- 32:47Speaker 1: you're at work and you can't talk, don't pick it
- 32:49Speaker 1: up the phone. Or if you're at work and someone's
- 32:51Speaker 1: texting you, you say you're at work, you can't talk,
- 32:53Speaker 1: and you'll call them when you can, Okay, But like,
- 32:56Speaker 1: don't pick up the phone and then complain that she
- 32:58Speaker 1: won't get you off the phone. You have like every
- 33:01Speaker 1: option to just hang up. She also is like, so
- 33:05Speaker 1: what is this thing about this woman? And like what
- 33:06Speaker 1: is what's happening? And then she has to hear her
- 33:09Speaker 1: dumb brother be like, yeah, uh, I just kept I'm
- 33:14Speaker 1: talking to this lady that I used to know and
- 33:18Speaker 1: we like lost touch. But then when I was feeling
- 33:21Speaker 1: shitty about my marriage, I reached out to her again
- 33:25Speaker 1: and we've been talking and then I somehow told that
- 33:28Speaker 1: to Annalin and she had the absolutely astute reaction of
- 33:33Speaker 1: being like, that's emotional cheating. Don't fucking do that. And
- 33:36Speaker 1: I've like not taken that well, I think she's crazy,
- 33:40Speaker 1: and Ashley's like, why the fuck are you saying? That's
- 33:44Speaker 1: exactly it. I mean. Javon then turns all of this
- 33:48Speaker 1: around to be like.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Yeah, well she just like isn't you can't talk to
- 33:53Speaker 3: her and like it's really hard and just like feel
- 33:56Speaker 3: really bad for her myself, and so I had to
- 33:58Speaker 3: talk to this lady. They're like, yeah, maybe one time
- 34:00Speaker 3: we almost hooked up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, there.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Was like a little history there, and that's what Ash's like,
- 34:05Speaker 1: shut the fuck up, you asshole. That's what I said.
- 34:08Speaker 1: As she's like, Anna, it's a good time. She's funny,
- 34:11Speaker 1: you know, So if I were you, I would just
- 34:13Speaker 1: fucking bite the bullet and just like whatever she's saying
- 34:16Speaker 1: is probably true. He thinks it's okay to go outside
- 34:19Speaker 1: of this marriage to talk about the marriage, and then
- 34:23Speaker 1: this is another weird thing. He's like, yeah, Annel and
- 34:25Speaker 1: blocked me. But the next day he's supposed to be
- 34:28Speaker 1: finally going to the Philippines. So then they FaceTime. This
- 34:31Speaker 1: feels fake and she's like, yeah, your sister told me
- 34:34Speaker 1: to unblock you, and now what do you want? And
- 34:36Speaker 1: he's like, well, can you not be so fucking harsh?
- 34:38Speaker 1: And I would be like, are you guys seeing are
- 34:40Speaker 1: you seeing each other tomorrow? And on her stand, are
- 34:42Speaker 1: you planning on okay, he's like, you just won't take
- 34:45Speaker 1: accountability and she's like for what and he's like, yeah,
- 34:50Speaker 1: because you're not easy to talk to. And she's like,
- 34:53Speaker 1: so talk to someone in your life then about it.
- 34:56Speaker 1: And he's like, well I tried. And he's like, She's like,
- 34:57Speaker 1: you have a fucking mom, and you have a dad,
- 34:59Speaker 1: you have a sister who I talked to, You're American.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Get therapy. And I loved it for that statement. Now,
- 35:07Speaker 1: this also made me feel like she thinks that he
- 35:09Speaker 1: has more money than he does. But it also made
- 35:11Speaker 1: me think, is he working in the health industry in
- 35:15Speaker 1: a way that they provide benefits? Because if they're providing benefits,
- 35:20Speaker 1: then we would see if mental health is one of them.
- 35:23Speaker 1: He wants her to take accountability for how she made
- 35:28Speaker 1: him talk to another woman. And that's when I said
- 35:33Speaker 1: to myself javon, Your small ass dick is the least
- 35:36Speaker 1: of your problems. That's the least of your problems, buddy.
- 35:39Speaker 1: That's crazy. The fuck are you gonna say that this
- 35:44Speaker 1: woman should be nice to you all the time, and
- 35:48Speaker 1: if she isn't, you're going to go have a conversation
- 35:50Speaker 1: with some bish you've already like tried to hook up
- 35:53Speaker 1: with and then put that on her. No, that's not rational.
- 35:58Speaker 1: I'm trying to turn it around. Okay, So if I'm
- 36:01Speaker 1: married and I can't talk to my husband, which then
- 36:04Speaker 1: I would talk to a friend you know, or someone else.
- 36:08Speaker 1: But let's just say, would I blame? Would I be like,
- 36:12Speaker 1: You're you're not easy to talk to, So I talk
- 36:16Speaker 1: to someone else that like, is only too happy to
- 36:19Speaker 1: also maybe give me his dick. It doesn't bode well
- 36:21Speaker 1: because a couple of things. You should be able to
- 36:25Speaker 1: talk to your significant other in spouse. You should also
- 36:27Speaker 1: have like boundaries and security within yourself so that you
- 36:32Speaker 1: can say the things you need to say and then
- 36:35Speaker 1: be okay with the consequences. The consequences when you're married
- 36:39Speaker 1: to someone you've never met is like that person yells
- 36:42Speaker 1: at you on a phone or on a FaceTime, in
- 36:44Speaker 1: which case, just like Ashley, you could just hang the
- 36:47Speaker 1: fuck up, or you could also just not marry someone
- 36:49Speaker 1: that you've never met. I mean, I don't quite understand
- 36:52Speaker 1: why you would get married to someone if you don't
- 36:55Speaker 1: even have enough money to go visit them. I wonder
- 36:58Speaker 1: who pushed for that, And if it was her, then
- 37:00Speaker 1: I need that to be then I do need to
- 37:03Speaker 1: lean into the fact. But how rich does she think
- 37:06Speaker 1: that he is? And is it one of those things
- 37:08Speaker 1: where she thinks all Americans are rich? At the same time,
- 37:12Speaker 1: it's like a little bit of a like a double
- 37:14Speaker 1: edged sword, because what he's saying is that American women
- 37:17Speaker 1: won't be with him because he doesn't have six pack
- 37:20Speaker 1: and six figures and six inches And so what is
- 37:24Speaker 1: he expecting, like a really beautiful woman in a different
- 37:27Speaker 1: country to be okay with because we already know, you
- 37:30Speaker 1: know what he doesn't have, And he also doesn't have
- 37:35Speaker 1: like communication skills, and he doesn't seem to have a
- 37:38Speaker 1: lot of like wherewithal or a lot of like dignity
- 37:41Speaker 1: in himself. Also, are we all like, why aren't you
- 37:45Speaker 1: with that bitch that you keep talking to? Then why
- 37:47Speaker 1: don't you just like Meneline, you made a fucking mistake.
- 37:50Speaker 1: And the good news is is that you know it's
- 37:52Speaker 1: just a marriage online. You can easily get rid of it.
- 37:55Speaker 1: I'm sure you've never meant real life. It's surely not
- 37:57Speaker 1: been consummated. Is that a real law Who knows? But
- 37:59Speaker 1: this same time, this feels kind of like Laura and Michael,
- 38:03Speaker 1: like who is this woman and why aren't you with her?
- 38:06Speaker 1: Maybe he's like, yeah, she's in a marriage too that
- 38:08Speaker 1: she's unhappy with. And then I'd be like, does her
- 38:10Speaker 1: husband know that she talks to you and that she
- 38:12Speaker 1: once also had ad alliance with you? And is her
- 38:15Speaker 1: husband in this country? Answer all these questions for me?
- 38:20Speaker 1: So Anneline's like, I've sacrificed by waiting for you. I've
- 38:23Speaker 1: been waiting for you to get your shit together, and
- 38:25Speaker 1: you surely haven't until I guess now, and then I
- 38:28Speaker 1: really wouldn't want to see you. And she sort of
- 38:30Speaker 1: gets him to say that he'll stop talking to that
- 38:33Speaker 1: other woman, and then he's like, yeah, only if we
- 38:35Speaker 1: work on communication. I would be like, Oh, if you
- 38:38Speaker 1: want to be with her and you want to talk
- 38:40Speaker 1: to her, then just be with her and talk to her.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Good Bye. I can go back to doing whatever the
- 38:46Speaker 1: fuck I'm doing. Now. We have to believe that she
- 38:49Speaker 1: really has aneline sacrificed by waiting for him. We have
- 38:53Speaker 1: to believe that she's not entertained any other suitors. She
- 38:56Speaker 1: surely I believe that she finds the physically attractive, at
- 39:00Speaker 1: least on paper. I really want to know if he
- 39:03Speaker 1: sent her any money. That's what I need to know.
- 39:05Speaker 1: He does have a job, and he lives in Alabama,
- 39:07Speaker 1: so he is making money in a place that doesn't
- 39:10Speaker 1: seem to cost a lot of money to live. Okay,
- 39:14Speaker 1: that's rude, I'm sorry. So all I'm gonna say is
- 39:16Speaker 1: that where is the money going that he makes? And
- 39:20Speaker 1: is this like a temporary job or is this like
- 39:22Speaker 1: a part time job. He seems sad and he knows it.
- 39:26Speaker 1: He seems just like a little like a failure to launch,
- 39:29Speaker 1: or like someone who is like stuck in a cycle
- 39:32Speaker 1: of feeling bad for themselves and like not wanting to
- 39:35Speaker 1: like really take accountability for where they are. I really
- 39:38Speaker 1: would have been on his side up until he said
- 39:42Speaker 1: that she needs to take accountability for the fact that
- 39:45Speaker 1: he went to go talk to another lady. And now
- 39:47Speaker 1: I know he isn't shit. I mean, and by on
- 39:49Speaker 1: his side, I would have still been like, oh, buddy,
- 39:52Speaker 1: you and your small dick, Why why broadcast that to
- 39:55Speaker 1: the world, you know, because we have to assume that
- 39:57Speaker 1: you know, there's a good possibility that this is gonna
- 40:00Speaker 1: work out with Anna Lyin, and you have a lot
- 40:03Speaker 1: of years on you to let the entire world know,
- 40:05Speaker 1: like how you can't fill out like a boxer brief,
- 40:08Speaker 1: you know. Okay, let's move on to Emma and Zaied. Well,
- 40:12Speaker 1: after the first night that was horrible, he decides to
- 40:16Speaker 1: go play with something that is easier for him to
- 40:20Speaker 1: deal with, snakes. He just goes into town, honey and
- 40:22Speaker 1: just is like, I'm gonna like hang out with a
- 40:24Speaker 1: snake charmer and do some of that some of these
- 40:26Speaker 1: like b roles. I'm like, oh my god, how prevalent
- 40:29Speaker 1: are snake charmers in Morocco. I guess I have to
- 40:32Speaker 1: go to be like is this on every street corner?
- 40:35Speaker 1: Because it feels like a trope by the way, I mean,
- 40:38Speaker 1: a lot of people are saying from the other way
- 40:40Speaker 1: that like, well, I'll go back to that. Maybe Dylan
- 40:43Speaker 1: of the other way like has his awtiness that's a
- 40:46Speaker 1: kind of a trope, like how much he eats kangaroo
- 40:48Speaker 1: and all that stuff. But so I want to always know,
- 40:50Speaker 1: like how many snake charmers are happening in Morocco, because
- 40:53Speaker 1: it seems like it seems wild for Zaiuy to be like,
- 40:55Speaker 1: I need to get out of the house and do
- 40:57Speaker 1: what I like to do. Play with some snakes, flew
- 41:00Speaker 1: with some snakes. So when we get back to Emma Honey,
- 41:03Speaker 1: we get a lot of information just by virtual cues.
- 41:06Speaker 1: She's using a hair straightener to straighten her already straight
- 41:13Speaker 1: wig hair. I guess that's what it lays, right, So
- 41:15Speaker 1: she's just constantly straightening fake fucking hair synthetic. I didn't
- 41:20Speaker 1: know what the smell of that hot tool smells, like,
- 41:23Speaker 1: Oh my god, I can I can smell it. You
- 41:25Speaker 1: know who can also smell it? That lovely woman who
- 41:28Speaker 1: is like the worker servant of the home that they're
- 41:33Speaker 1: staying in. She's also putting on bronzer and it's in
- 41:36Speaker 1: a stage at Beverly Hills, and I see that on
- 41:41Speaker 1: her Instagram. I have seen a lot of comments. She's
- 41:45Speaker 1: curating her Instagram so that people are like, oh, you're
- 41:48Speaker 1: so hot and what makeup do you use? And she's like,
- 41:50Speaker 1: oh girl, this and that. At one point I saw
- 41:53Speaker 1: a Reddit post where she said that she has like
- 41:56Speaker 1: a part of her is African America's Black American, black American.
- 42:01Speaker 1: We I don't know if that's where that is exactly.
- 42:05Speaker 1: I have to just I guess believe her and pretend
- 42:08Speaker 1: you know that I didn't see her twin sister, And
- 42:10Speaker 1: if it was just her sister, it would be like okay,
- 42:12Speaker 1: but it said she said twin. I mean, I don't know, listen,
- 42:15Speaker 1: is Emma Rachel dalzol or does she have black American
- 42:19Speaker 1: and her who knows? I have no idea, but it
- 42:22Speaker 1: was like brought up like as maybe like talking about
- 42:26Speaker 1: whether she uses wigs or not, and she's just like,
- 42:29Speaker 1: I have hair. I just like wigs better. She I
- 42:33Speaker 1: bring up like the fact that what her ethnicity is,
- 42:35Speaker 1: because she seems to be doing what the Kardashians did,
- 42:38Speaker 1: not just the fact that she has absolutely modeled her
- 42:42Speaker 1: entire entire vocabulary in cadence to the Kardashian tongue, but
- 42:48Speaker 1: also like she certainly seems to be bronzing herself darker,
- 42:54Speaker 1: like wanting to appear of a different ethnicity, because I
- 42:58Speaker 1: do feel like if you were to take off the
- 43:00Speaker 1: wig and the makeup and the bronzer, she would look
- 43:03Speaker 1: just like her twin sister. And I think her twin
- 43:07Speaker 1: sister is really beautiful, and I think that Emma is
- 43:10Speaker 1: like a pretty girl. It's just that everything is very distracting,
- 43:14Speaker 1: like the amount of caked on makeup, and like the
- 43:18Speaker 1: like colors of her makeup, and of course the wig
- 43:21Speaker 1: and where it's sitting, and also the bronze of her hairline,
- 43:26Speaker 1: and I mean and the fillers and all of the botox.
- 43:29Speaker 1: You know, it's a lot. I will say that think
- 43:32Speaker 1: that her boob job is like a lovely size though,
- 43:37Speaker 1: And obviously women have a horrible time in this world
- 43:41Speaker 1: trying to be as beautiful as they can be to
- 43:44Speaker 1: attract whatever men they can attract, you know, because that's
- 43:48Speaker 1: the way things are. Emma has already been married to
- 43:51Speaker 1: another Moroccan man, so I don't know if like she
- 43:55Speaker 1: just has like a thirst for hummus she got that
- 43:58Speaker 1: hummus fever, honey, I'm quite sure, but it's it's interesting
- 44:02Speaker 1: she because she said that she's been married before, it
- 44:06Speaker 1: does feel like she is aiming towards a certain life
- 44:10Speaker 1: like Tiger Lily was like this too, where they want
- 44:14Speaker 1: to be treated like princesses and they feel like Arab
- 44:18Speaker 1: men treat them like princesses when they play along, and
- 44:22Speaker 1: that is that is it? I would say, like from
- 44:26Speaker 1: my vantage point as being a Syrian Lebanese woman, the
- 44:30Speaker 1: kind of man that is Arab that wants to treat
- 44:33Speaker 1: their woman like a queen or princess, and like this
- 44:37Speaker 1: only works if you play along with making them the
- 44:40Speaker 1: king at all times and the king's word always flies,
- 44:45Speaker 1: is it? Now? If you're American, that's a hard fucking
- 44:48Speaker 1: pill to swallow because what you're swallowing is your entire self, identity, tongue, opinion,
- 44:52Speaker 1: all of that. You just have to like keep it
- 44:54Speaker 1: down so that you can pretend to be a pretty
- 44:56Speaker 1: little princess, you know, and pretty little princesses you know. Yeah,
- 44:59Speaker 1: Like maybe they hold a door for you, or they'll
- 45:02Speaker 1: put in your chair and that's to be expected, or
- 45:04Speaker 1: they'll hold your bags for you. But you sacrifice a lot,
- 45:09Speaker 1: especially for someone like Zayed who isn't even making her
- 45:12Speaker 1: feel like a pretty princess in that he can pay
- 45:14Speaker 1: for her whole life. Yeah, he can buy her like
- 45:17Speaker 1: a wallet, but Emma just seems to be wanting to
- 45:20Speaker 1: cosplay as like someone else. So I don't know what's
- 45:24Speaker 1: to be believed or not. People in the streets are like,
- 45:26Speaker 1: she's tried to be on the show before, that's why,
- 45:29Speaker 1: And maybe she just wants to be famous, and certainly
- 45:31Speaker 1: I think that she does want to be famous, Like
- 45:33Speaker 1: I certainly think that she would absolutely love to be
- 45:36Speaker 1: considered like a hot girl Instagram Battie Kardashian influencer, which
- 45:41Speaker 1: she's not the only one, you know. She a lot
- 45:44Speaker 1: of people that are like, oh, Hakaina, you're like Shakaina,
- 45:46Speaker 1: and I think that she's eating that shut up. But
- 45:48Speaker 1: basically they go and have a beautiful breakfast. She hates eggs,
- 45:52Speaker 1: but she'll eat them, and she apologizes for rejecting his
- 45:58Speaker 1: kiss and that this is awesome okay, and then he's like, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 46:04Speaker 1: thank you for apologizing to me. Let me hear it again.
- 46:07Speaker 1: And then they go out and about they go to
- 46:11Speaker 1: a bizarre suit Bedina to shop. She lets him know
- 46:15Speaker 1: that she's been fired from her job and he's like, yeah,
- 46:18Speaker 1: I don't worry about those other jobs. It's like very typical.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Uh huh, Okay, she gets that's not gonna be. She
- 46:23Speaker 1: has to understand if she wants comfort, it's not going
- 46:25Speaker 1: to be from Zayed. I think sometimes a lot of
- 46:28Speaker 1: Americans want emotional comfort from, you know, the people that
- 46:33Speaker 1: they're interested in that are from different countries, and those
- 46:37Speaker 1: different countries don't value emotional comfort talks. Annelin doesn't from
- 46:44Speaker 1: the Philippines, Like she doesn't want to fucking have to
- 46:46Speaker 1: hear her dumb husband and complain about his problems. No,
- 46:51Speaker 1: and zay Ed is from a country where they don't
- 46:54Speaker 1: talk about that shit. I just don't. He doesn't want
- 46:56Speaker 1: to hear about your problems, not at all. But as
- 46:59Speaker 1: they shop and as she's like hold this, and she's like,
- 47:02Speaker 1: I just, you know, want to tell you about things,
- 47:04Speaker 1: and he's like, I don't want to hear it. She's like,
- 47:06Speaker 1: I just want to tell you about my past. He's like, fuck,
- 47:08Speaker 1: that past never happened. He's like, if it happened, fine,
- 47:11Speaker 1: but I already know. If they need to know about you,
- 47:12Speaker 1: you're hot and you're here and she's like, no, no, no,
- 47:15Speaker 1: that's not it. There's things you don't know about me.
- 47:18Speaker 1: I've been married before, I don't have a Morocan and
- 47:21Speaker 1: he's like, n I just don't care. Really hear me
- 47:23Speaker 1: when I say I don't care about that, I mean again,
- 47:26Speaker 1: she didn't actually say that, she thought that in her mind.
- 47:29Speaker 1: But he doesn't care about her past because he doesn't
- 47:32Speaker 1: want to hear it, and he doesn't definitely want to
- 47:34Speaker 1: tell her about his and he doesn't want any negativity.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Arab men don't. They just want like a woman just
- 47:41Speaker 1: to sit there and look pretty and like make them
- 47:43Speaker 1: feel good about themselves. Period. Not all men, but the
- 47:46Speaker 1: Arab men that like portray this like I'm gonna do
- 47:50Speaker 1: this and you're gonna be that, and I'm the king
- 47:53Speaker 1: and you're the queen. It's like the tiger lily ad
- 47:55Speaker 1: non stuff. It's that like specific kind that are this way.
- 47:59Speaker 1: They don't want to hear about your problems. They don't
- 48:01Speaker 1: want you to tell them that they're wrong, and they
- 48:03Speaker 1: don't want you to like make it hard for them
- 48:06Speaker 1: to get to the next moment. They only want women
- 48:10Speaker 1: that will lubricate the present moment so that it's easier
- 48:13Speaker 1: to get to the next moment in the future. By lubricate,
- 48:17Speaker 1: I mean lubricate the present moment with utter sweetness and obedience, levity, fun, sweetness,
- 48:26Speaker 1: maybe affection. That's it. But don't come with any other
- 48:30Speaker 1: part of you. Definitely don't come with like your thoughts
- 48:34Speaker 1: or your worries. Leave them at the door. They're not
- 48:37Speaker 1: to be here. So I will say that it's interesting
- 48:44Speaker 1: they are in this beautiful like shopping area. There's like
- 48:47Speaker 1: horse rides and stuff like that, and it was like
- 48:49Speaker 1: almost like, I mean, this might feel like a very
- 48:51Speaker 1: truisty part. It was like it's almost like, yeah, you're
- 48:52Speaker 1: taking a horse ride in Central Park, but it's in Morocco. God,
- 48:57Speaker 1: he decides to eat snails in front of her, and
- 48:59Speaker 1: she's like, girls, that's someone grons evil. How can you
- 49:03Speaker 1: do that? And I also want to be like, okay, well,
- 49:05Speaker 1: let me just say this. If you're going to try
- 49:07Speaker 1: and be a Kardashian Instagram battie, one part of that,
- 49:12Speaker 1: other than you having to look a certain way, is
- 49:14Speaker 1: you having to portray aspirational wealth. You know what I'm saying,
- 49:19Speaker 1: Like all the Instagram people like want to take pictures
- 49:21Speaker 1: of them in beautiful places and a beautiful dinner, so
- 49:23Speaker 1: that you like, you know, showcase a certain amount of
- 49:26Speaker 1: aspirational wealth, which is like what the Kardashians and the
- 49:29Speaker 1: Real Housewives do. It's like kind of their thing. It's
- 49:33Speaker 1: like this the thought, and I think it's dying if
- 49:35Speaker 1: it's not completely dead that people want to follow people
- 49:39Speaker 1: to be like, oh that could be me, or I
- 49:42Speaker 1: wish that would be me. I wish I was rich.
- 49:45Speaker 1: I wish I drove around and Armae covered Bentley's and
- 49:49Speaker 1: I wish I, you know, went to capied in Rock.
- 49:53Speaker 1: I wish you know whatever it is? So why am
- 49:55Speaker 1: I saying all this? Because snails are like a delicacy,
- 49:58Speaker 1: Snails are risk cargo, go to France, it's fucking everywhere.
- 50:01Speaker 1: So to me, I was also like, Emma, I mean,
- 50:04Speaker 1: you can't talk about snails and then try and be
- 50:07Speaker 1: like a sophisticated bitch because like, snails are kind of fancy,
- 50:11Speaker 1: I wouldn't eat them. I'm just unfortunately, I'm getting to
- 50:14Speaker 1: be even more like closed off when it comes to foods.
- 50:18Speaker 1: I've gotten to this place where I basically only eat
- 50:21Speaker 1: chicken and beef and a salam in like salami, Like
- 50:26Speaker 1: I'll only eat pork if it's aged. I don't even
- 50:29Speaker 1: like pork fresh. So weird. He's like, yeah, I'll eat
- 50:35Speaker 1: these snails. I'll tell you what's weird. Sushi. She's like sushi,
- 50:38Speaker 1: that's crazy. And then she gets to be like, well,
- 50:41Speaker 1: if I can't give you a kiss, I'll give you
- 50:43Speaker 1: air kisses. And she's happy to be like when he
- 50:48Speaker 1: tells her that he does not want to hear about
- 50:51Speaker 1: her past, we have to in real time watch someone
- 50:55Speaker 1: realize that he does not care about her, but she's
- 50:58Speaker 1: gonna hold on to like the play of it all
- 51:01Speaker 1: by being like, Okay, you don't want to hear about
- 51:03Speaker 1: me in my past? What anything I've been through? You
- 51:05Speaker 1: just think you know everything about me? She knows he
- 51:08Speaker 1: doesn't know everything about her. She knows in that moment
- 51:11Speaker 1: how stupid he sounds by being like, I don't know
- 51:13Speaker 1: nothing about you. The fact that Zayid could say such
- 51:15Speaker 1: a thing obviously makes him makes him well, he is dumb.
- 51:20Speaker 1: He's like a stupid, ignorant boy from like a from
- 51:24Speaker 1: a very you know, interesting part of the world, and
- 51:26Speaker 1: he has like rarely thought about what life is like
- 51:30Speaker 1: out of it. But so is she. In fact, I
- 51:33Speaker 1: thing that like, maybe the only thing on this show
- 51:37Speaker 1: that you have to be is a little bit ignorant
- 51:40Speaker 1: about how other people live. It is like, you have
- 51:43Speaker 1: to be ignorant how other people live, and you have
- 51:46Speaker 1: to have and I like some sort of also a
- 51:49Speaker 1: deep desire to change the person you're with, to only
- 51:55Speaker 1: live in the world you've known. Anyway, I mean to
- 51:58Speaker 1: think about that for a long time, but I think
- 51:59Speaker 1: it's true. So let's move on to Forest and Sheena.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Now this is hard, so a let me say, the
- 52:07Speaker 1: streets have on Reddit have brought up Forrest's tweets where
- 52:12Speaker 1: he's like less than kind about like different people like
- 52:16Speaker 1: Sabrina Carpenter about being like and I'll like her or whatever,
- 52:20Speaker 1: and people have been like, oh, Force is a bad
- 52:22Speaker 1: person because of that, And I don't understand those things.
- 52:25Speaker 1: To me, these tweets are just very online with someone
- 52:27Speaker 1: who is a person who's on the spectrum open about
- 52:31Speaker 1: that and a virgin and has lived with a person
- 52:34Speaker 1: like Molly. All of his tweets, just not to beat
- 52:38Speaker 1: a dead horse, are just the ignorant tweets of a
- 52:41Speaker 1: man who has never put his penis in a woman
- 52:43Speaker 1: and then has probably watched a lot of porn and
- 52:45Speaker 1: then decides to you know, voice his own opinions without
- 52:49Speaker 1: you know, really caring how they look, and they're direct,
- 52:53Speaker 1: very rude opinions, but that's on brand to me. Okay, Sheena,
- 52:59Speaker 1: I will tell you Sheena and I have forged a
- 53:02Speaker 1: relationship on TikTok. This is Chris Farah talking. This is true,
- 53:06Speaker 1: And I love Sina, and I think Sheina might be
- 53:08Speaker 1: on the show, like I'm gonna try and get her
- 53:10Speaker 1: on the podcast. But I like Forest and Sheena, and
- 53:13Speaker 1: obviously Forest's mom is the villain here, and whether she's
- 53:16Speaker 1: actually a villain or whether they're making her out to
- 53:18Speaker 1: be a villain. It's interesting because one thing about this
- 53:21Speaker 1: is that we've met Mollie and she obviously is an
- 53:23Speaker 1: antagonistic person in this storyline, but we also are supposed
- 53:27Speaker 1: to also believe that she Anda's parents are also antagonistic
- 53:30Speaker 1: and or villainous. Now in the next episode, in the
- 53:34Speaker 1: previews for the next episode, Sheina has to literally say
- 53:37Speaker 1: to Molly, my parents are bad people. And Molly's like,
- 53:40Speaker 1: what the story is a change in now and I
- 53:43Speaker 1: want to be like, Molly, you're a bad person? Are
- 53:46Speaker 1: you good or you bad? But the truth of the
- 53:47Speaker 1: matter is, well, this is the truth. No one is
- 53:51Speaker 1: entirely good or entirely bad. That's just the way it is,
- 53:54Speaker 1: Like black and white thinking this person's bad, this person's good,
- 53:57Speaker 1: it's just not it. The farther way can get away
- 54:00Speaker 1: from like judgmental thinking bad good, black white, you know,
- 54:04Speaker 1: like it's just well. The more emotionally evolved we are
- 54:09Speaker 1: as people, and we can hold space for others. We
- 54:13Speaker 1: can see others, We have empathy for others, and we
- 54:15Speaker 1: understand I mean the many lives, not all of them,
- 54:19Speaker 1: the many we understand, like the many worlds there are
- 54:22Speaker 1: on this on this planet. And how you can be
- 54:25Speaker 1: from Nigeria and you know, say you're a Christian and
- 54:29Speaker 1: be talking to gods through some healer, you know, like
- 54:34Speaker 1: that's different from us, you know, But how can you
- 54:36Speaker 1: be Javon and then finally find a woman that tolerates
- 54:41Speaker 1: you and is happy that you, you know, call her
- 54:44Speaker 1: and she's hot, she thinks you're hot, and she certainly
- 54:47Speaker 1: doesn't care about your you know, lack of abs or
- 54:50Speaker 1: your bank account. And how can you fuck all that
- 54:52Speaker 1: up by talking to someone else? I don't know, it
- 54:55Speaker 1: just does. People make choices, and people think the things
- 54:58Speaker 1: that they think, and people are raised in whatever ways
- 55:01Speaker 1: in worlds and religions that they're raised, and it's as
- 55:04Speaker 1: individual and specific as it is to you as it
- 55:07Speaker 1: is to them. And all of the things that they
- 55:09Speaker 1: know that they have like put money on the things
- 55:12Speaker 1: that they hold true that they then base other things
- 55:16Speaker 1: on being true, like has to be true for them
- 55:20Speaker 1: for them to understand how the world works, as long
- 55:23Speaker 1: as in the many times in which you can like
- 55:25Speaker 1: open up your mind to see that, like the what
- 55:28Speaker 1: you thought was right might not be right, or what
- 55:33Speaker 1: you thought was true changed, because there is no constant
- 55:36Speaker 1: in this world but change. Here we are, so we
- 55:40Speaker 1: get a lot of information. So mom, so the mom,
- 55:44Speaker 1: I was sorry, Molly, is you know, making sex jokes
- 55:48Speaker 1: with Forrest? And shea like a lot And she obviously
- 55:52Speaker 1: has had a weird relationship with Forrest where she feels
- 55:56Speaker 1: very comfortable to make sex jokes, but at the same
- 55:58Speaker 1: time she's like, and he does it with me. He's
- 56:01Speaker 1: been talking that way with me too. Well, you're the mom. Also,
- 56:05Speaker 1: Forest doesn't seem like he has a lot of friends.
- 56:06Speaker 1: It seems like you're only his friends. So he kind
- 56:08Speaker 1: of like probably put on you a lot. And that's
- 56:11Speaker 1: something Mollie as you if you, if you have like
- 56:13Speaker 1: the wherewithal to have, probably you or Dev should have
- 56:18Speaker 1: told Forrest to like make some male friends and talk
- 56:20Speaker 1: about sex with them, and not Dev and your mom.
- 56:23Speaker 1: We also find out that Sheina owns an apartment, but sorry,
- 56:27Speaker 1: Sheina has a part. Shina has an apartment that her
- 56:30Speaker 1: parents own, and that when Forrest and Mollie and Dev
- 56:35Speaker 1: came to visit her, she and his parents were like, well,
- 56:39Speaker 1: you can't stay with us unless you pay us rent.
- 56:41Speaker 1: And they were, you know, horrified by that, and we're like,
- 56:45Speaker 1: absolutely fucking not. And I agree, I heartily agree. I
- 56:52Speaker 1: think it's very telling of them to want to charge
- 56:54Speaker 1: them rent. It's not how you treat anyone that you
- 56:57Speaker 1: think is gonna be a family, And it's definitely not
- 56:58Speaker 1: how you treat anyone that you want to impress. And
- 57:02Speaker 1: it's definitely not how you treat anyone who's going to
- 57:06Speaker 1: marry your child and you respect your child. Yeah, they're
- 57:11Speaker 1: driving in the Philippines and forces like it's hectic, you know,
- 57:14Speaker 1: But we got there and they go into the like
- 57:18Speaker 1: Airbnb where they're staying and he's holding that jackfruit, uh,
- 57:24Speaker 1: and he makes a sexual joke to his mom. She
- 57:27Speaker 1: touches the top and she's like, it's dicky. He's like, well,
- 57:29Speaker 1: don't touch it there, it's excited at the top. So
- 57:32Speaker 1: what he said is don't touch what looks like a
- 57:34Speaker 1: big dick because there's come on it to his mom.
- 57:37Speaker 1: And I do think that this is a very toxic
- 57:41Speaker 1: relationship between these two people that is weird and I
- 57:44Speaker 1: don't like it, and Dev hates it even more. It's
- 57:46Speaker 1: why like Dev barely speaks because like he's so disgusted,
- 57:51Speaker 1: and I think that it like it comes from you know,
- 57:54Speaker 1: no one telling Molly to shut the fuck up about
- 57:57Speaker 1: sex in front of her like son and also at
- 58:00Speaker 1: him some fucking friends. The place they stay are staying
- 58:03Speaker 1: has two bedrooms and the two bedrooms are shared by
- 58:06Speaker 1: a wall that is as thin, I mean as a
- 58:11Speaker 1: business card. It's a very thin wall, so thin you
- 58:15Speaker 1: can hear Dev's thoughts like it's a small wall. And
- 58:20Speaker 1: the first night, Forrest brings out all the lingerie that
- 58:23Speaker 1: he bought for Shena and she's like into it. He
- 58:27Speaker 1: also lets us know, well, let me say this, he
- 58:30Speaker 1: buys her that he brings up the lingerie and he's like,
- 58:32Speaker 1: I got this cloth that goes on your body to
- 58:35Speaker 1: accentuate your sexuality. And when he said that, we all laughed.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Cloth that goes on your body to extenuate your sexuality,
- 58:43Speaker 1: like not your curves, but your sexuality are your are
- 58:47Speaker 1: are the It was all so formulaic. It was almost
- 58:50Speaker 1: just like, yeah, it was so textbook. It was so
- 58:52Speaker 1: what a nerdy thing to say. Shina loved it. She
- 58:55Speaker 1: loved it. And also, I want to give them the
- 58:59Speaker 1: props for having this scene in what looked like very
- 59:02Speaker 1: stark overhead lighting. The lighting was much too bright. It's
- 59:06Speaker 1: much too I mean, what's the word when it's not
- 59:10Speaker 1: incandescein it's, well, that's stark white lighting. It's I mean
- 59:13Speaker 1: it's not yet, it's I mean, it looks like you're
- 59:16Speaker 1: about to, like, you know, take an sat test, honey.
- 59:18Speaker 1: That lighting was too much. And Forrest is like, you know,
- 59:21Speaker 1: I want to wait to have sex because I've waited
- 59:23Speaker 1: this whole long, and she is a virgin, I'm a virgin,
- 59:25Speaker 1: and like it just seems like we should get to
- 59:27Speaker 1: know each other before we have sex. And it's like
- 59:30Speaker 1: a really beautifully mature thing for them both to say.
- 59:36Speaker 1: I was really happy about that, because it is hard
- 59:40Speaker 1: to like, I'm sure be a virgin with another virgin.
- 59:43Speaker 1: I wouldn't know, and you know, feel all the feelings
- 59:47Speaker 1: that you're feeling and then not just get super excited
- 59:50Speaker 1: and be like, well, I'm supposed to do this thing,
- 59:52Speaker 1: and she wants to do this thing, and we're supposed
- 59:53Speaker 1: to be doing these things, so let's do it to
- 59:56Speaker 1: be a good normal couple or whatever. Like they don't
- 59:59Speaker 1: have that. It makes me really proud of them. They
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: seem to, within themselves, have found like a language and
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: an understanding that feels respectful for both people. Even though
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Forrest and Shina seemingly have one thing in common, I'm
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: sure they talk about a lot, which is a fear
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: of their parents. For still thinks he can blow sheina
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: socks off, and I mean, i don't know exactly why
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: he feels so confident. I'm assuming that he feels confident
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: because like he's been making sex jokes to his mom's
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: whole time, and his mom laughs at them, and somehow
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: he thinks that like that alone will be indicative of
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: a being good at bed. If I'm good at sex jokes,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: I mean, the answer is now the next day they're
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: driving to Chinatown and then shein it gives us this
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: like great history that before the Spanish, you know, came
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: over and pretty much did whatever they did to the Philippines,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: that China had been there a long time was a
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: huge trade route. And so there's like one of the
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: oldest China towns there with a really like fascinating history
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: and lots of cool old timey things. There's a word monuments.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure what she said, and she herself
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: is like Chinese and Filipino. Now in the car, Molly's like, well.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: I heard some interesting things. I heard some sounds last night.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Did you guys do the old nookie nookie?
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: And this is this is after she had made the
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: joke about them when they're the confessionals, where she was
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: like a little Wonka Wonka. There's a part of Molly's
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: like sex humor or humor that is like cat skills,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: I mean, like very old timey, like Charlie Chaplin esque
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: or whatever, like the circuit of like comedians. The old
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: nookie nookie is this cringiest thing you could possibly say.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: All of our faces like melt off at like the
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: thought of this woman saying that, Oh, so you didn't
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: hear that. You didn't hear any interesting things. What you
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: heard was Sheina being like, thank you for this purple
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: fucking laingerie, and yeah, turn off the lights. That's what
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: she heard. Also, could you imagine a world in which
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: she knows, like Molly, I heard dev gurgling up your
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: pjuice last night. I mean no, I mean obviously not.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I just this. The fact that she has no idea
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: how she comes off or how horrible she is is sad.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Now is Molly horrible? Not entirely, but surely she's not
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: aware of her capacity for horribleness. And I'm always somewhat
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: shocked because I feel like I am. I do feel
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: like I'm aware of my horror, of my capacity for horribleness,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: And I feel like if I was on TV, you
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: would see a different version of me. You would see
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: someone on their fucking best behavior. You wouldn't see the
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: person you're listening to or talking to. Now, I mean,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: this is my real self, But I mean I'm not
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: being paid to be on TV. You know, I'm just
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: getting opinions on TV. But like, my horribleness is like
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: probably rooted in, like my privilege and me being an
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: only child, and I have always been, I think, definitely
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: aware of that, and so I just I just yeah,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: I think. But on TV I would be like, well,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: what a beautiful part of town, Sina can't wait to
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: meet your loving family who just seems to have some
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: disagreements with how we'd feel comfortable. But let's just see
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: what happens. You know, I don't know Molly doesn't have
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: those problems. Molly's been you know, hyped up by a
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: son and by Dev her whole fucking life to like
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: come to a whole different country and tell people how
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: to live their world. So in this car we have
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: to have Molly being like, well, if you want to
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: talk to me about sex, you can always talk to me,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: or you can talk to Dev, and Dev's voices his
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: voice to be like, I'm interested in sex. Let me
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: tell you it takes a good long time to be good.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: And Molly's like yeah, yeah, yeah. And if you don't
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: want to have penetrative sex, you can have oral sex
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: or fondling. And then Forrest is like fucking what. And
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: also if I want to talk to you about sex,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: which mom I usually do, let's be honest I'll come
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: to you, I'll ask you to talk about it. But
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: this seems awkward to do in front of Sheena. Now,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: Mollie doesn't want anything to change. Molly doesn't want anything
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: to change in her life or Forrest's life. She somehow
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: wants forced to like absorb Sheena's entire life and then
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: have Sheina just be well, I guess what Zaied wants.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Molly wants Sena to provide the lubrication of ease in
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: the present moment, to get her and her son to
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: the next moment without a care in the world. And
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Sina is like a whole ass person with wants, dreams, desires,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: fears and securities, and that is annoying to Molly. She
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: doesn't want to hear it. It doesn't help what she wants.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: We get a little bit of interesting b roll, which
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: is that or whatever or interesting snaps during this part
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: of Chinatown, which is that there is a procession of
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Catholic culture, and then Sheena is like fiesta. It's a fiesta,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: which is you know, the bord party in Spanish. And
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I had to do a deep dive, and my deep dive,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: I literally just had to text my beautiful Filipino producer
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Christina be like, what what is that? What's fiesta? And
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: then Christina was like, oh girl, it's like a feast.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: It's like they're just like it's a feast of one
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: of the saints. You know, You're like, oh yeah, we will.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Catholics love a fucking feast of a saint. I mean,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: my god, you don't even like talk about that anymore.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: That that's like some hardcore Catholic shit, like where you
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: have name days and the feasts of your name day
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: when you like you name your child, whatever the saint
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: was that was that day. There's three hundred there's more
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: than probably two hundred and sixty five saints, because there's
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: a santy day of the year. Every sorry, every day
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: there's a saint associated with that day. They must have
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: processions like this all the time. Must be like a
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: parade culture. So at this point, Shina is showing them
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: around and doing a great job, and then she is like,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: wait one second, I know what you guys like. It's eating.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna take you to a place where they do
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: handmade noodles and I'm like, oh my god, it's handmade,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: like ramen or handmaide whatever. I'm not quite sure exactly
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: and I'm afraid to fuck it up, but obviously handmade
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: noodles is what I'm gonna like rest my laurels on.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: And she even is like, yeah, you guys enjoy slurps up.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: I know you're gonna do it anyway, And they do.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: They slurp the shit out of this like yummy ass
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: soup with these noodles like looks like us. I guess,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: like Ramen, like I've already said. And then Mollie is
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: like sweating a from the yummy noodles and also how
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: hot it is, and also because inside she knows that
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: she should not fucking do what she's about to goddamn do,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: and now she's sweating. She's like, Sina, why did you lie?
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Why did you lie? Gina? Why did you lie? Do
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: me too? Floors to me? Now what she's mad about,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: which the entirety of the money in the universe is
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: like whose money is it? And we'll understand this. Sheena
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: has a whole ass job. Obviously, she takes care other animals.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: God bless her for doing it, and not just animals.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: She actually also is a breadwinner for her family. I
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: don't know if she's the only bread winner. I'm not
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: quite sure, but obviously she makes more money than other
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: people in her family, and therefore she gives them money.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: She comes from a culture where it's part of the
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: culture that you give money to your parents and stuff
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: like that. This is so wildly different from American culture
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: that Americans can't wrap their head around it. They cannot.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: In America, your parents are the ones that give you money,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: and this generation, like the generation of like most people, well,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: I don't want to say this unless it's true, but okay,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: let me just say to me, it seems like a
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: blanket thing of Most people my age are not as
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: financially stable as their parents. So a lot of people
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: my age got help from their parents past, you know,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: past the years in which you'd want to get help
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: from your parents. I mean, I know people that got
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: help from their parents to buy homes. I know people
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: that wouldn't be able to buy, wouldn't have not would
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: not have been able to buy the current home they're
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: in if it wasn't for their parents giving them that money.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: So that's gonna feel very fucking different from the culture
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: that we're talking about. Shina is like my parents guilt
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: me to give money. She has been putting money into
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: a savings account only her, not Forrest. It's her money
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: that she has told Molly and Force that she is
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: saving up so that she can get herself to America.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: And that's what Molly's mad about. She's Molly that Sheena,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Molly is mad that Sheena gave away her
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: own money to her parents and lied. She says to
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Molly and Forrest about that, and she does not understand
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: why she lied. And so Sheena is like, let me
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: tell you. My parents made me feel bad. They guilted me,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: used the obligation of her culture by saying I need
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: to give them that money or I'm a bad person
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: and I have a hard time making people upset or
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: hearing bad things, or hearing people yell at me like
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: I this is like she just starts to break down.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: So it's very fucking obvious that she feels this way.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: She starts to have a like a panic attack. She's hyperventilating,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: and Forced and dev are watching this, and Mollie does
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: not stop. Molly's like, this is stupid. You're just being
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: manipulated with your tears. I don't understand and I don't
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: understand why dev and Force is Like Mollie, she just
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: fucking answered you. She at the end of the day,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: Sena has like whoever amount of people that she feels
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: like she wants to be truthful with or wants to
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: be fair with. And she does not have any boundaries.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: I mean, she doesn't have a good she doesn't, she
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: seems seeing she seemingly needs help enforcing boundaries. So being
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: able to tell her parents I need money so I
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: can move to America didn't work. And maybe it didn't
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: work because maybe her mom, who knows, was like, well,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: your dad's sick, so you're just gonna go to America
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: and leave your sick dad. Stupid, you know, I don't know,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: and made Sina feel bad. And so Shina did what
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Sheina could do with her own money. And Mollie doesn't
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: want to hear that, so as Shina answers her by
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: being like, I lie to you because my parents are
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: scary and I can't say no to them, just like
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: it's scary to be in front of you right fucking now,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: just like you're hounding me. Can you imagine if you
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: actually gave birth to me and I actually felt guilt
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: and obligation. It's impossible. Forrest finally, after like not stepping in,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: is like, well, I have to step in, and is
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: like shut up to Mollie after too long, and is
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: like you are being hostile, and also I understand how
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: hard it is to tell a person no mom. Now
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: Mollie is like, well, I see that she has got
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: her claws in him, and now he's gonna start doing
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: things different. And it's like, yeah, bitch, because you've had
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: your clause in him this whole time, and he's sick
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: of it. He's a grown ass man. He doesn't want
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: to deal with you anymore. I don't even know how
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: Dev does by not talking. I'm assuming Dev'm Freudian slip.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: I'm assuming Dev has some hearing issues or he has
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: a crazy way of compartmentalizing what he's hearing to not
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: have to fucking pay attention to that. Molly's like, yeah,
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: now we're the big bad guys that were getting mad
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: at his beautiful Sheena. And it's like, well, I mean yeah,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Forrest thinks that, and we all do, girl, we all do.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: Mollie is like, I need to protect my son, and
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: I think that Dev has to be like he's too
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: all this to get away from you. He's protecting himself
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: from you right now. That's like what the thing is.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: He can't wait to get away from you. He probably
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: he can't even get hard yet until you get the
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: fuck out of his life. Probably. I don't think that
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: he's gonna be able to be good in bed as
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: long as he can have awkward sex jokes with his mom.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: I think that there's a direct relationship to force ability
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: in bed, to how sexless his humor and conversation is
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: with his mom. True truth. Oh my goodness, gracious, I
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: can't even So we have a one more couple left,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: and it's Laura and Burkin. Oh lord, lord, Laura, Lord,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: I don't even know. This is also bad. It's really bad,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: you guys. It's not good. So she's letting in Turkey
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: and he's ironing a shirt. I'm happy that he irons.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: I can't iron I can only steam things. She rented
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: a big air and b and b sorry, a big airbnb.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: That's uh, and he, you know, doesn't actually have a
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: place to live, so he's staying there. She's obviously on
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: her way from Washington. It shows that Chirn she's from Vancouver, Washington,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: and I was like, Oh, is that is that awkward?
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Or is that confusing for people in Washington If you're
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: from Vancouver, Washington, I don't is that just a city
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: right by the actual Vancouver and you have to be
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: like Vancouver American? Or is Vancouver, Washington far enough away
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: that when they say they're from Vancouver, people are like, Canada, Canada.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: Why can't I talk? And why did I start a podcast?
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: I'm kidding, it's because my thoughts just like go too fast.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: But yeah, like I thought that was confusing. They should
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: rename Vancouver Washington something else, like Van Cuter Washington. Okay,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: she's nervous to meet him, and it's because she has
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: gone through like a weight loss journey, and I'm sure
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: she's felt like other people have felt, and certainly like
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: I felt. And I started about it that like men
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: don't look at you if you're a certain size, and
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: you know, she doesn't quite know if she's the size
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: that's appropriate yet or tolerable to him, which is like
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: such a shitty feeling, and I know that feeling. Okay,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: So she gets there early and he's on the way.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: She texts him that she's art at the train station
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: and she changes into a cute dress and then she
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: comes down the escalator and he's there looking at her,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: and he says, hello, gorgeous to her right away. She's
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: very into that, and they kiss and it's like a
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: kind of like an okay airport greeting moment. But then
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: they go outside and then we have like the telltale
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: confessionals and the producers are like, what did you think
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: when you saw her? And then he says, I don't
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: even have to see her. She's perfect. She's perfect. And
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: then when you start to realize he actually won't look
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: at her. He's actually avoiding looking at her in this moment,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: and she's holding on to him honey, as if he's
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: like the strongest slash only branch off a fucking cliff,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: and she's about to fall over. I mean, she's grabbing
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: onto him like nobody's business. He is like, yes, so perfect.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: So then they get in the car or like I'm
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: sorry a bus, and she realizes that it's not good.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: He again won't look at her and is just staring
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: off in the distance, being like, good, you're here. It's
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I mean, we can throw around words to me it
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: felt little neurodivergent. The he's not making eye contact, you know,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: like I don't know if the streets are like she's
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: just not attracted to her. But I don't think that
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: could be the case, because Laura is Laura is beautiful.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I think that Laura has like Laura is beautiful period,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: and Laura has like a gorgeous face and gorgeous eyes
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: and a gorgeous body that has like gone through, you know,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: the ups and downs of living in this world. And
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: I don't understand how you can't look at Laura's face,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: because I can. I think it's beautiful. And if you,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: like had ever talked to her, if you would ever
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: like shared intimate moments, an emotional connection, if you can't
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: make eye contact with her, it's indicative of either you
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: being really nervous or you having some sort of problem
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: within yourself. So they get to the Airbnb and she's
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: certainly like, Wow, this place is fucking big, and he's like, yep,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: I love it. I love the TV. I love the couch.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: And they go outside to the balcony and I took
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: a picture, as one does. Oh okay, I took a picture,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: and I didn't put it up, but I'm gonna have
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: to just trust me that when they go on the balcony,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: he has like a red light, almost like a laser
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: that's being pointed at his skull. And at first I
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: was like, I'm sorry, is Michael. There is Michael on
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: one of these rooftops. Is Michael about to fucking sniper
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: the shit out of this bitch? Anyway? He also, like
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: burkin beer Can, says a lot of like fluffy fuck
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: and pontificating shit that he thinks sounds like poetic and maybe,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: like the first one, you're like, oh, and then as
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: it goes on, you realize this person is just saying
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: bullshit lines without feeling present in the moment and connecting
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: with someone. Architecture is the art that we live in.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Oh okay, so is the fashion. So's what you're wearing.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: People consider fashion to be an art form. So if
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: you're wearing clothes, technically that's the art you're living in.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: But Okay, she's like, I know it's ridiculous that he's
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: always saying dumb shit, but I don't mind it. And
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: we're like, yes you do, Laura, be honest with yourself,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: Yes you do. You don't want to hear some twenty
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: ninthe year old pretend that he's fucking a philosopher. No,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: you're not, You're not smart. You're just saying things you've read,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: pretending that you thought about them. And also you're not
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: even present in the moment to look at someone. This
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: isn't real to me. To me, artists and thinkers draw
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: upon what they experience or what they see around them,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: and so you can't really be an artist or a
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: philosopher if you are embedded at some points in the
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: present moment seeing what's actually around you. If you don't
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: have like that openness to take in things, if you're
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: always in your head, then you're not. I'm not saying that,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: like people always have to give great eye contact to
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: be artists or philosophers. But when I'm watching this man,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: I just, yeah, I don't see like a great mind.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: I don't even see like connections happening behind his eyes
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: that make me feel like his thoughts are warranted. So
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: they get back to the Airbnb and it's still fucking awkward,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: and she's like, well, I'm exhausted and I'm going to
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: shower and then and go to bed, and he's like
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: well to nine. So I'm just gonna stay here and
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: watch TV. You know, I don't really get a chance
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: to watch a lot of good TV on flat screen
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: TVs and big apartments, So I'm gonna stay here and
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: do what I want to do. And she thinks that's dumb.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: She's right. Then she goes to her room and she's like, yeah,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Michael's been blowing my shit up. Michael tracked my flight.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: He's texting me, and when he texted her, he's like,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: how are things and she's like fine, And then he
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: in the text was like, doesn't seem fine. That tone
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: isn't fine. That's not how you say I know you
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: you know, And she's like, yeah, it feels off, and
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: I just I can't believe he could feel that he
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: knew that. And it's really interesting how she can in
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: real time viscerally feel the connection she has with Michael,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: and obviously this really not feel the non connection she
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: has with beer Can, who I mean is doing whatever
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: he can to get like one hour of TV watching
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: on like a couch because he knows this isn't going
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: to last for long. I wonder what he thinks she
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: gets from him, like beer Can, what do you think
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: she's getting from you, like love affection? What has she
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: been getting from him? Just like some weirdo that's like
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: quoting vague concepts to you all the time and you
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: were like, that's it. I don't know, but it's interesting
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: because Laura and Lisa, besides the fact that there are
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: two ladies on this show whose names begin with el
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: and who are dating younger men who don't see men
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: into them and you know, have their own you know,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: and are dealing with and themselves dealing with their own
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: insecurities wig or body or whatever. You can see how
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: I feel like Laura has a better propensity to be
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: real with herself and be like self aware and also
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: like see the situation at hand. I don't know how
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: she actually got herself to this exact position, but I mean,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: surely her parents have the same question. But I think
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: Laura's going to quickly realize that he's not for her.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: And I wonder if Michael's going to come out to
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: Turkey like she's had that place it's overlooking the water,
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: there's like a whole part of me or I'm like,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: I wonder if she's just gonna be like, yeah, what
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: beer can get the fuck out of here, buddy, Michael.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: Hey hayboo hey, I still had this place for another week.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: Turkey's great is Dan Bull Constantinople? Just like that song,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: we can sing it together. It's your favorite song. I
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: don't know it's Dan Bull Wisconstantinople? Okay? Uh that that
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: reference just aged me so long, I so many years.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: I just have to pick up my life, my dignity,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: and move on my loves. That was the end of
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: the episode. Ugh. I really found it so interesting though.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: I really love this season. I mean, I know I
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: wanted to say it every episode, but it's true, Like,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: I love this season. It's so good. It's awkward and
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: definitely some people like give me the heb gbs. But
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: at the same time, there's just a lot of information
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: that's like fit for consumption and discussion. And I mean,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: guess what, that's why I have a podcast. I can't.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: I just love talking about why people do the things
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: they do, how it relates to maybe us. And also
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: I love talking about what they're wearing. Like I loved
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: Sheena's lemon dress when she was in Chinatown, and I also, yeah,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I also loved Laura's dress when she turned into changed
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: into that like navy number. And for some reason, I
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: really care about a lot of people this episodes, like
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: I really care about I really care about Gena, I
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: really care about Laura, like I want the best for
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: them and every in every way, and I care about
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: Lisa's daughter. I have no one to care about with
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: Emma and Zayed Jovan and annalyin I mean, I'm not
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: I don't. I think it's not great for by either
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: one of them. And so yeah, that's that's where I
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: stand of who I care about and who I don't
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: care about. By caring, I mean who I like, have
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: love for, and the other people I don't mind watching
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: and talking about, and I don't hate them. I'm just like, Oh,
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: your character isn't a weird play that I keep watching
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: a weird cereal play. Okay, my love's can you believe it?
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: That's it. So the way I'm working right now is
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: Vanity Farah will host The nine A Day Fiance before
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: the ny Day's season eight recaps on Patreon. You can
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: go and see the video if you want to see
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: me in real life talking about it. I have barely
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: to makeup on. I put too much blush on though.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: For this I have been obviously abroad, so I haven't
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: been able to keep up the YouTube in the past week.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: But coming up on YouTube, I will do a combo
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: episode of the Other Way for the ones I missed
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: and Sister Wives those exist on YouTube, and then at
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: some point I'll put more episodes on Vanity Farah. Okay,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: my loves. I know it's confusing, but just bear with me. Also,
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: give me five stars. Sorry, give me five stars. Give
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: it to me, all right, No, but truly, thank you
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: so much for being here. Thank you so much for
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: like spending any time listening to me talk fucking up
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: words left and right. But also know that I appreciate
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: I appreciate it like I I appreciate that you listen
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: to me, or you care about, you know, the thoughts
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: in my head, or I hope more so that something
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: I say during episodes of this podcast feel good to
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: you or feel like universally sound to you, or that
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: you feel like a connection to And I know that
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: anyone's opinion can be like judgmental or whatnot, So give
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: me the grace if you can that we're all living
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: in this world and trying to be our best, but
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: also that we're trying to, you know, change and make
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: better choices. So having said that, your choice to give
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: me five stars will be a great choice. Where Ever
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: you listen to podcasts, also follow me if you don't mind.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: I'm at Chris Elfara on TikTok, where I do so
