- 4:00SPEAKER_04: They are it the brand is just phenomenal.
- 4:03SPEAKER_04: So without further ado, I would like to introduce you guys to the co-founder of Clinical Skin Skincare.
- 4:09SPEAKER_04: So um, Evelina, uh, welcome to the show.
- 4:13SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 4:14SPEAKER_03: Thank you so much for having me.
- 4:15SPEAKER_03: I'm so excited to speak with you.
- 4:17SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh, I am so excited to speak with you.
- 4:19SPEAKER_04: I can't wait to dive into the brand and and learn all about it.
- 4:23SPEAKER_04: But you know, I was just telling for everyone listening, I was telling Evelina before the show started that my mother is actually a huge fan of the brand and she's obsessed with it.
- 4:31SPEAKER_04: And I I can't blame her because it's just a phenomenal line.
- 4:35SPEAKER_04: So um, you know, I want to get started, Elena.
- 4:37SPEAKER_04: I want to talk about you and your um background and your career and everything that really led up to the creation of clinical skin.
- 4:44SPEAKER_03: Thank you so much for the compliment.
- 4:46SPEAKER_03: It really means a lot, especially coming from you know the next generation of women, your mom, because I'm sure that she has um you know tested multiple skincare in her lifetime.
- 4:56SPEAKER_03: So I really appreciate the compliment and the shout out.
- 4:59SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, so a little bit about me.
- 5:01SPEAKER_03: I guess uh, you know, if I was to do an elevator pitch about whoever Lina is, I'm a classically trained marketer, I guess by trade.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: I have um uh pretty much you know had the trajectory always in the marketing field for um population consulting brands.
- 5:17SPEAKER_03: We all see, you know, back in the day, straight out of college, but I always had the passion for beauty and for medical field, for pharmaceutical.
- 5:24SPEAKER_03: And I think um, you know, once I landed my first gig within skincare, um, you know, that that kind of was like my, you know, I discovered my passion and calling for life.
- 5:33SPEAKER_03: Um I have worked for contract manufacturers, with contract manufacturers, I work for small skincare brands and two bigger collaborates.
- 5:43SPEAKER_03: I like to say that I have the you know the big uh corporate backing with uh startup kind of like mentality and and an experience as well that I can bring to the picture.
- 5:53SPEAKER_03: Um and you know, I'll be honest with you, my experience, it's rather robust because it's not silent just into marketing.
- 6:02SPEAKER_03: Um, but in particular in skincare, you know, with the background in you know, my entire family kind of worked in the medical uh field, medical industry.
- 6:09SPEAKER_03: My mom did pharmaceutical research and she did um you know pharmaceutical medical trials for uh future drugs.
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: Um that kind of informed my approach to I guess uh to the proof of concept and uh you know how to uh make sure with the product that I eventually launched uh the real deal efficacious product, so they also have a safety profile.
- 6:32SPEAKER_03: Um but you know, my experience, I guess, with um Topics Pharmaceuticals, uh, which is a control manufacturer and a private label company for many medical-grade skincare brands, uh distributed not only in the United States, uh, but also globally.
- 6:46SPEAKER_03: Um, I think that was kind of my my first uh deep dive into the world of beauty, but not just beauty, but the scientific uh beauty.
- 6:55SPEAKER_03: I had the privilege of working with uh, you know, the chemist, uh microbiologists, and in hearing firsthand um, you know, what's happening, uh, I guess in the lab.
- 7:05SPEAKER_03: I had exposure to raw material vendors and and uh and many customers of topics, which you know I'm not at liberty of disclosing, but uh the brands you can find at Sephora's and Ultas of the World and Lehman Marcus's, some of them are doctor brands.
- 7:19SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, so they kind of gave me an exposure to the real deal um skincare segment of the of the beauty industry.
- 7:26SPEAKER_03: Uh, and also working on the private label side for physicians and um dermatologists and plastic surgeons and aestheticians.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: Um, that was kind of like my first uh uh step in the door of uh of the skincare industry.
- 7:40SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh, I love that.
- 7:42SPEAKER_04: And I love that you got to see all sides of it.
- 7:45SPEAKER_04: I mean, that is huge because honestly, here's the thing like there's some brands at Sephora that I know a lot of you listening in, like you can probably agree, especially recently with the influencer debacle that we've been dealing with, you know, where influencers are lying and etc.
- 8:00SPEAKER_04: etc.
- 8:01SPEAKER_04: But like there's a lot of Sephora brands that are really great, and then there's some that are not, you know, so to have that like knowledge of like figuring out like what are the brands that really do well in retailers, you know what I mean, compared to like you were mentioning, Evelina, like medical grade, you know, like on the more private label side, like I mean, that's a huge, like that's a huge plus, right?
- 8:22SPEAKER_04: As a founder, to be able to come in with that knowledge because so many times I see brands that are like, well, you know, I just found this one herb and that's what I'm focusing my entire line around.
- 8:32SPEAKER_04: And I sit there and I'm like, and then they want to call it something like clinical grade, and I'm like, you can't do that.
- 8:37SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 8:38SPEAKER_04: Like it's just and it blows my mind how like, you know, these kind of companies just blow up because I'm like, you know, you can't have one.
- 8:48SPEAKER_04: Let me explain.
- 8:49SPEAKER_04: Like it's better.
- 8:50SPEAKER_04: I'm twisting my tongue right now.
- 8:52SPEAKER_04: But um, when a brand comes out, one of my biggest pet peeves is like that one ingredient that's their hero ingredient, and that's all they focus on.
- 9:01SPEAKER_04: And then they try to pitch it as okay, well, we have all this background and we're, you know, we're medical grade skincare.
- 9:06SPEAKER_04: And it's just like, no, you're not, you know.
- 9:08SPEAKER_04: So um, with that being said, I really want to learn about um, you know, when you were crafting the concept of clinical skin, you know, when you were thinking about what kind of products you wanted to bring to the market, what you thought consumers needed, like what was that process for you, you know, the research side of that?
- 9:25SPEAKER_03: Sure.
- 9:25SPEAKER_03: I think you know what, it was um years in the making.
- 9:28SPEAKER_03: I think I have uh solid 13 to 15 years in the physician dispensing skincare um area of beauty.
- 9:37SPEAKER_03: Um I have work for Pierre Fab on French and American brands.
- 9:41SPEAKER_03: I work at the L'Oreal Skin Surrocals, which is the number one dispensing brand, I think, globally.
- 9:46SPEAKER_03: Um that kind of like shaped my uh approach to um learning and knowing what works from a medical standpoint, knowing what physicians are asking for.
- 9:56SPEAKER_03: They had the first, I guess, line of um communication with the consumer who engages with clinical and professional grade skincare.
- 10:04SPEAKER_03: I have hosted countless advisory boards.
- 10:07SPEAKER_03: I have attended countless meetings, trade shows, I heard you know, physicians speak on the podium, I presented concepts to physicians back in the day.
- 10:14SPEAKER_03: I had this privilege and honored of pretty much hearing from the horse's mouth what works, what doesn't, and where the gaps are in the market.
- 10:22SPEAKER_03: I also knew what worked for I think the four or five medical grade um dispensing brand that I worked for back in the day.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: I knew what bestsellers were, I knew what physicians and aestheticians are asking for in the treatment rooms, in a buy car setting, what worked for post procedure, what worked as a part of the uh regimen kit.
- 10:40SPEAKER_03: I have um I'm a big researcher, so I always conduct um research and validate information that I come across online.
- 10:48SPEAKER_03: We all have access to you know marketing reports, um, client reports, uh, you know, I'm able to validate the data.
- 10:55SPEAKER_03: I look at Google Trends, but then I also look at PubMed and see, hey, if somebody's searching for like this trendy ingredients, does it have legs, like you know, scientific legs to standard?
- 11:05SPEAKER_03: Is there any research going on behind this ingredients?
- 11:07SPEAKER_03: Is there government backing, uh research grant being, you know, granted?
- 11:11SPEAKER_03: Um, so I think that was you know, I kind of I guess I was looking at it from multiple, you know, uh angles.
- 11:17SPEAKER_03: Um, as a marketer, I knew what consumers are searching for, what their demand is in the market.
- 11:23SPEAKER_03: Um I'm kind of uh always trying to stay uh at least one step ahead of the uh of the trends and what's going on in the industry.
- 11:30SPEAKER_03: But I think mostly hearing from physicians and aestheticians, uh, the people who see consumers on a day-to-day basis, their patients, the aesthetic patients, that's that's what helped, you know, um, I guess create the portfolio of clinical skin.
- 11:44SPEAKER_03: And I wanted to make sure that the products that um we roll out to the market are the tools of trades that physicians, dermatologists are currently using in their practice.
- 11:53SPEAKER_03: So we all know that there are the go-to tried and true ingredients such as you know, vitamin A or vitamin C, you know, the antioxidants, the peptides, the harmonic acids of the world.
- 12:04SPEAKER_03: But um I didn't want to just be another vitamin C, you know, product brand.
- 12:08SPEAKER_03: I want to, I don't want to be another chronic acid um product.
- 12:12SPEAKER_03: I wanted to bring an angle or element of innovation to the picture.
- 12:16SPEAKER_03: And I tried to either introduce a unique combination of ingredients, uh, explore ways of dispensing the product.
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: So I looked at different packaging, um, especially, you know, launching during COVID and then post-COVID.
- 12:29SPEAKER_03: I wanted to make sure that the packaging is, if not sterile, the application is as sterile as it gets.
- 12:34SPEAKER_03: So um I think, you know, I know I'm keeping your mouthful heel, but I think that was kind of like my my approach to, you know, coming up with the first few SKUs.
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, I think any other brand launches mini regimens, they always come up with a cleanser and a sunscreen as a must go and then a moisturizer to fill in the blanks, kind of like a three-step basic regimen.
- 12:53SPEAKER_03: What we did differently is I I literally wanted to make sure that I offer products.
- 12:58SPEAKER_03: A dermatologist would definitely recommend in the practice setting to anybody who's seeking rejuvenating, you know, skincare solutions, and that they have either medical grade, professional grade, have uh clinically validated efficacy and studies behind those products.
- 13:13SPEAKER_03: And the ingredients that I'm using either are pure grade or at a level potency, but it's validated in clinical studies or proven meaningful, effective in skin.
- 13:23SPEAKER_03: So I think that's kind of the difference between clinical skin and everybody else, uh, you know, out there.
- 13:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no, I mean that's that's exactly the kind of like I think reasoning that people need to be utilizing when they're creating a truly efficacious product.
- 13:37SPEAKER_04: I mean, um, you know, all of that research, all of that understanding is absolutely necessary at this point.
- 13:43SPEAKER_04: Like I often talk to brands and just anybody, right?
- 13:47SPEAKER_04: In general, even consumers, and I try to explain the same thing that you just did here, which is that you have to have this 360 approach, you know, with science, we can't skip steps, you know, we can't skip knowledge in science.
- 14:00SPEAKER_04: Um, it's it's something that you have to study, you have to really understand and find the right people who can formulate, find the right people who can, you know, if there's an area you don't understand, they can educate you on.
- 14:11SPEAKER_04: And this is where everyone listening, you know, because we have a lot of founders that listen in on the show.
- 14:15SPEAKER_04: And um, you know, for anyone listening out there, you know, I I really echo everything Evelyn is saying here because this is really the fundamental of creating a truly efficacious line.
- 14:24SPEAKER_04: I mean, clinical skin, um, for all of you listening was in our top picks and it was for a reason, you know, it's because they are actually their product actually works, you know.
- 14:34SPEAKER_04: And when people say, Oh, does something work or not?
- 14:37SPEAKER_04: My response is always, well, what's the science behind it?
- 14:40SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 14:41SPEAKER_04: Like, what's the research behind it?
- 14:43SPEAKER_04: What did you do to create something that's unique?
- 14:46SPEAKER_04: And that's an answer, that's a question that a lot of people can't answer, believe it or not.
- 14:51SPEAKER_04: And it's it really shocks me, you know what I mean, every time because I'm like, then why in the why in the heck did you create a line if you can't answer these kind of basic questions?
- 14:59SPEAKER_04: So I love that.
- 15:00SPEAKER_04: I love that you, you know, you have this like really 360 approach to this.
- 15:04SPEAKER_04: Now, uh, you know, I'm gonna ask you about the formulation um, you know, uh journey that you have because I know that's very difficult to, you know, when it comes to really good clinical grade lines.
- 15:14SPEAKER_04: Um, the formula is something you guys go through, you know, over and over again.
- 15:17SPEAKER_04: So, how was that for you, you know, and the four whole process?
- 15:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so I mean, I had like this almost geeky and nerdy approach to to formulating.
- 15:24SPEAKER_03: I start with um, I guess with like, you know, blue sky scenario dreaming of like an ideal product or ideal brand of ingredients.
- 15:32SPEAKER_03: And I, you know, jot it down on paper.
- 15:34SPEAKER_03: I have done extensive research looking into library of raw materials, and I had so many vendors on SpeedGo that I can, you know, tap into their knowledge.
- 15:43SPEAKER_03: A lot of those vendors conduct uh preliminary like market research and studies on the ingredient categories and blends that they offer so you can get an idea of like how it can be positioned within the formulation.
- 15:54SPEAKER_03: But I always like to try and test it in a lab.
- 15:57SPEAKER_03: I have been working very, very closely with uh, I would say world-class chemist who has over 40 years of experience manufacturing pharmaceutical and cosmetic products as well.
- 16:08SPEAKER_03: So um I'm not talking to just like any you know Joe Schmoll or product done in somebody's um garage for the lack of a better term.
- 16:16SPEAKER_03: I'm talking about a legit FD registered facility and access to chemists just because of my relationships uh that I've built throughout the throughout the years.
- 16:25SPEAKER_03: Um so like I said, I usually start with uh like a brief on paper.
- 16:28SPEAKER_03: I research um ingredients, I research the ingredient benefits, I I find out um what the ingredients are being delivered in.
- 16:37SPEAKER_03: Sometimes they are you know coming as a blend with alcohol, sometimes as a blend with glycerin.
- 16:42SPEAKER_03: So I'm able to dissect not only the key ingredient, but also I guess the vehicle it's it's being delivered in as well.
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: And I create formula on paper, and then I run it by the chemist um to make sure that what I'm dreaming of is feasible and can live together in a bottle and cancel each other out.
- 17:01SPEAKER_03: And that's that kind of like where the reality check is.
- 17:03SPEAKER_03: I'm not a chemist, but I'm definitely a visionary.
- 17:06SPEAKER_03: I'm more than just a marketer, I'm a consumer myself and uh with uh like a pharma medical background for my family.
- 17:13SPEAKER_03: I feel like I have this higher like burden of proof to make sure that whatever I put out to the market is as close to being as good as it gets.
- 17:23SPEAKER_03: Um, I always look for innovation.
- 17:25SPEAKER_03: So I personally um you know reach out to different vendors to find out if they have any um technologies that they can license or make it exclusive to me for a period of time.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: If there isn't a way of either maybe a delivery system or encapsulation technology that I can incorporate as well, because I think innovation is is paramount to me.
- 17:47SPEAKER_03: I feel like innovation happens on a daily basis, but before somebody picks it up or identifies it as an opportunity, before it gets commercialized, years fly by.
- 17:56SPEAKER_03: And I wanted to make sure that I am more agile since I have this you know opportunity to be more agile and I have I don't have that many stakeholders to please to bring the innovation or the newest science or at least newest um you know progressive science to to the masses.
- 18:12SPEAKER_03: So working with uh Google Chemist, usually I usually work on prototyping.
- 18:16SPEAKER_03: I have to provide a formula benchmark when it comes to like textural and sensorial uh parameters.
- 18:22SPEAKER_03: Um but the most important parameter is efficacy.
- 18:25SPEAKER_03: So I want to make sure that you know, for example, when I was creating the peptide serum, the polypeptide serum, I I identify the four peptides that are responsible for skin firmness, elasticity, and hydrating.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: There's so many peptides to pick from.
- 18:37SPEAKER_03: I I purposely handpicked the the four that I I wanted to bottle them.
- 18:41SPEAKER_03: I didn't want to bottle them just at marketing levels.
- 18:43SPEAKER_03: I wanted to make sure that the the peptides are at efficacy levels, meaning they will have meaningful action in skin.
- 18:49SPEAKER_03: And on top of it, I want to make sure that you know we add in some extra, you know, ingredients that will help, you know, peptides do what they're supposed to be doing, and then be mindful of skin health and the skin barrier and all of it kind of combined.
- 19:02SPEAKER_03: So um I think it took many prototypes before I I said yes to the one that was not only cosmetically elegant, but like I said, would have passed the clinical study for safety profile and then also for efficacy profile.
- 19:17SPEAKER_03: So it wasn't um a short journey, I would say rather it was a rather you know long journey, but it was accelerated just because I was able to kind of move many pieces at the same um at the same time.
- 19:29SPEAKER_03: But um, you know, with the formulations, I obviously I do also comparative analysis, but I look at what's coming out from Korea, what's coming out from Japan, uh the German beauty.
- 19:38SPEAKER_03: I um like I said, I attend multiple trade shows, not only for marketers, but also for beauty and cosmetic formulators for chemists.
- 19:46SPEAKER_03: So I speak with raw material vendors on a regular basis.
- 19:49SPEAKER_03: I um I just try to, I guess, soak up as much information as I can and then you know let my inner gig uh do its magic.
- 19:58SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 19:59SPEAKER_04: No, I love that so much.
- 20:00SPEAKER_04: And I and I think that that's that's really, really interesting to me because, you know, um I I really believe that if you don't know something, you should just go to the experts, you know.
- 20:09SPEAKER_04: And I think that a lot of times, you know, especially with the conversation around um, you know, people making things in their kitchen or, you know, whatever that is, it always makes it irks me because it's like you guys have to understand, like, there is a role of a chemist, there's a role of a biologist, you know, there's reasons why you have to have this like very multifaceted team working on a formulation rather than just one.
- 20:34SPEAKER_04: And um, you know, it really kind of speaks volumes when you create a brand that does that because you see results, you know.
- 20:41SPEAKER_04: For everyone listening, like, you know, I always encourage you guys to follow along on the actual website of the brand that we're interviewing.
- 20:47SPEAKER_04: Um, so I would love for you guys to right now, you know, as you're listening, go to clinicalskin.com um just to check out the brand as we're we're talking here.
- 20:55SPEAKER_04: But when you do see it on the website, you know, they've got real photos of real people that show results of these products.
- 21:03SPEAKER_04: And, you know, one of my the thing is when you see a brand that's able to do that, that's called true transparency.
- 21:10SPEAKER_04: Okay, that's transparency.
- 21:11SPEAKER_04: Like I have a lot of people telling me, oh, we're transparent, we're sustainable, we're all these buzzwords.
- 21:16SPEAKER_04: But it's like, well, where are your pictures at?
- 21:18SPEAKER_04: You know, where are your where's the proof?
- 21:20SPEAKER_04: You know, where's the proof that this is working?
- 21:24SPEAKER_04: And, you know, I have noticed specifically with the clinical skins products is that it doesn't take too long for them to work.
- 21:30SPEAKER_04: Um, everything I've tried personally, like I've seen it, like all within two weeks, I've seen results.
- 21:36SPEAKER_04: So, you know, the the one that we gave our um our top picks for everyone listening to was the vitamin C pro collagen serum.
- 21:44SPEAKER_04: And Evelina, I would love for you to talk about this specific product because this is one of the best vitamin C serums out there on the market, like hands down.
- 21:52SPEAKER_04: Like I really love it.
- 21:54SPEAKER_04: It's actually something that works, you know what I mean?
- 21:57SPEAKER_04: Like what you expect from vitamin C.
- 21:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and and you.
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: Know one of the things I want to just make this very clear to everybody is that I love that you put the word pro-collagen in here because what most people don't understand is vitamin C is not just used for brightening, you guys.
- 22:12SPEAKER_04: It's all used, it's a major component in collagen synthesis.
- 22:16SPEAKER_04: So, like, you know, you have to really think about like what is what can I expect from these products, right?
- 22:22SPEAKER_04: It's like that's so important.
- 22:23SPEAKER_04: Rather than just buying a serum that has like 40% vitamin C in it, you know, just that's not gonna do anything.
- 22:29SPEAKER_04: Like you have to have a really, really, really sophisticated formula.
- 22:32SPEAKER_04: So yeah, Evelina, tell us all about this specific product because it's it's phenomenal.
- 22:36SPEAKER_04: It's phenomenal.
- 22:37SPEAKER_03: And and thank you so much for noticing the the the name of the product because I'm responsible for all of it from the brand name coming up with the brand name to product naming convention.
- 22:47SPEAKER_03: And I wanted to make sure that the product name is as descriptive, so kind of like uh uh you know, so it's as easy to understand and it's shoppable to to consumers who are new to clinical skin.
- 22:56SPEAKER_03: And and vitamin C being a collagen cofactor, I was like, I have to throw it in there.
- 23:00SPEAKER_03: So thank you so much for calling it out.
- 23:02SPEAKER_03: Of course, I appreciate it.
- 23:03SPEAKER_03: I appreciate it.
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I think vitamin C was the second uh SKU that I have commercialized.
- 23:09SPEAKER_03: Um, I was super excited to work on this product because coming from skin circles, and you probably heard about C Ferro, there's like a cold following for this amazing product, and it works wonderfully.
- 23:20SPEAKER_03: Um, and it's you know, the formula has been tried and true, and dermatologists beloved.
- 23:25SPEAKER_03: I wanted to make sure that there's a solution uh from clinical skin that also offers vitamin C serum, but it's not only limited to vitamin C as an antioxidant, but it has an entire cast of antioxidants.
- 23:37SPEAKER_03: So I purposely included L-ascorbic acid uh for this charity, obviously, to you know, in the formulation, but also tetrahexid as well ascorbate.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: So I can uh deliver vitamin C microdosis throughout the day into the skin, and I'm kind of covering the lipid-soluble and the water-soluble uh formats of vitamin C.
- 23:55SPEAKER_03: Uh, and I also included glucation.
- 23:58SPEAKER_03: Um I feel like it's an underappreciated antioxidant.
- 24:02SPEAKER_03: I feel like maybe in a year or two there'll be uh entire like product lines or at least products devoted just to glucotion because um it's an amazing antioxidant, not only for the skin but for the entire body.
- 24:14SPEAKER_03: Um caffeine as well and ergothion because I am a huge proponent of natural medicine as well.
- 24:22SPEAKER_03: And I love Chinese traditional Chinese medicine as well, and I know how important mushrooms are.
- 24:28SPEAKER_03: So I wanted to make sure that I borrow from everywhere that I you know draw my inspiration to and then you know package it into uh in a to a product, but it's you know, the formula is relevant to you.
- 24:38SPEAKER_03: So you have amazing cost of antioxidants in this formulation.
- 24:42SPEAKER_03: Um and interestingly, this um antioxidant sium has been manufactured um under argon.
- 24:52SPEAKER_03: So instead of being manufactured under oxygen environment, in order to minimize you know oxidation of those antioxidants when they're super you know um photosensitive and and not so stable, we have been manufacturing under argon um as a gas.
- 25:08SPEAKER_03: So that's that's kind of like an interesting nugget.
- 25:10SPEAKER_03: Uh it's not something that probably consumers are interested in, but I since you are a position, I figure I'll throw it in there and it's your it's your podcast.
- 25:18SPEAKER_03: Um and uh additionally, I know you know, uh looking at consumer sentiment, and a lot of vitamins C on the market right now are not so what I call cosmetically elegant.
- 25:29SPEAKER_03: They are either tacky or they don't necessarily absorb that well.
- 25:32SPEAKER_03: And I wanted to make sure that this human was as light and um you know absorbs as quickly as possible.
- 25:40SPEAKER_03: So there's not much of the uh playtime in between application of trigger product and then a moisturizer or the next step.
- 25:47SPEAKER_03: So this one is I think as close as it gets to being cosmetically elegant.
- 25:51SPEAKER_03: And then I also borrowed from the essential oil um segment because I'm a huge proponent and a fan of essential oils, um, and I added uh a lavender um extract, essential oil, to help um bring like this spa, luxury like experience.
- 26:08SPEAKER_03: When you apply this product, you have like this very, very gentle hint of lavender, and it's supposed to just, you know, um I guess uh invigorate your senses and evoke like a pleasant feeling and sentiment.
- 26:19SPEAKER_03: So it may not be like traceable or trackable to somebody who doesn't have like a very sensitive uh olfactory system, but uh for those of you.
- 26:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, so that's what it is.
- 26:32SPEAKER_03: I I personally, you know, working with so many dermatologists, they always um steered away from the F-word, which is fragrance.
- 26:39SPEAKER_03: So I purposely do not include any fragrance, any synthetic fragrances uh in our formulation, in my formulations.
- 26:46SPEAKER_03: I either go to you know, um alternatives such as citrus therpenes or like essential oils that have you know like a good safety profile for the skin, they're not contact allergens and and and again they are added at very, very nominal amounts to the formulation.
- 27:02SPEAKER_03: So that's the vitamin uh C.
- 27:04SPEAKER_03: And on top of it, I also have um added zinc uh because it has a wonderful um benefits for the skin as well.
- 27:13SPEAKER_03: And every single product in clinical skin line is powered.
- 27:17SPEAKER_03: I like to call it powered, but it's been enhanced by um ACE technology.
- 27:22SPEAKER_03: Um and ACE technology is like a blend of uh ingredients that I came up with that I thought were super useful for the skin.
- 27:31SPEAKER_03: I always look at skin as the you know organ because it is the largest organ of your body.
- 27:36SPEAKER_03: And like any organ, you should be worrying about its health.
- 27:39SPEAKER_03: And there is ingredients available in the skincare industry that are supporting the healthy skin barrier.
- 27:46SPEAKER_03: And these are ceramides and antioxidants that help also defend from free radical damage.
- 27:50SPEAKER_03: So I wanted to make sure that every single product within clinical skin line has antioxidants, ceramides, and superoxide dismutase, which is an enzyme that actually works as an antioxidant uh in a formulation.
- 28:03SPEAKER_03: So that's that's our vitamin C.
- 28:05SPEAKER_03: I think uh you know it features 20% all ascorbic acid.
- 28:10SPEAKER_03: There are studies um available on the market, noting that the sweet spot for all ascorbic acid concentration in the formula is between 15 to 20 percent when it comes to absorption into the skin.
- 28:23SPEAKER_03: So that's what we have featuring.
- 28:25SPEAKER_03: We're featuring the maximum level of vitamin C that it has meaningful action in the skin.
- 28:30SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 28:31SPEAKER_04: And you know, another thing I wanted to really kind of hone in on this is I'm glad you brought up glutathione because um, you know, uh obviously, you know, I'm gonna nerd out about anything biology.
- 28:42SPEAKER_04: Um, you know, glutathione for everyone listening is a it is literally the wonder antioxidant in your body.
- 28:49SPEAKER_04: Like this is the main one.
- 28:50SPEAKER_04: You know, when we run out of glutathione, we are often prone to, you know, um free radical damage.
- 28:56SPEAKER_04: And so the way glutathione, whenever you guys see it in a formula, the way it works is that it's basically donating electrons to free radicals so that it stabilizes them.
- 29:05SPEAKER_04: So that's so important because there's been research done on this specific um, you know, compound and then they've realized that it has so many benefits.
- 29:16SPEAKER_04: Like obviously the free radical thing is there, antioxidant potential is there, but it also works in synchronous, uh, in synchronicity with vitamin C by generating more vitamin C and E in the body.
- 29:30SPEAKER_04: So like it's an actually very interesting compound.
- 29:34SPEAKER_04: Like it's it's just something I I would love to see more skincare like incorporate because in your body, this is the primary go-to, you know what I mean, to like combat free radical damage.
- 29:44SPEAKER_04: And there's a whole slew of papers out there just talking about glutathione's role in just overall immunity, overall health, you know.
- 29:52SPEAKER_04: So I just I love that you've been using these ingredients that are, you know, they are novel in a you know, in their own way, but they're in the skin health realm, but they're very important, you know, to pay attention to.
- 30:03SPEAKER_04: So I I really like that you have incorporated that, Valina.
- 30:06SPEAKER_04: That's really, really great.
- 30:07SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 30:08SPEAKER_03: I am all into you know, like healthy lifestyle and obviously, you know, taking supplements and and and you know ingesting what's you know healthy for the body.
- 30:18SPEAKER_03: And I've been reading about glutathione as the master antioxidants, and and then I started, you know, going getting into rabbit hole of like there must be some kind of uh benefit to the skin if you take glutathione supplement.
- 30:28SPEAKER_03: And then what if you apply it topically?
- 30:30SPEAKER_03: And then you know, you're finding out about all these amazing benefits being you know the pigmenting agent and you know helping skin elasticity, you know, almost uh also detoxifying agent, uh, anti-inflammatory, like you've mentioned, you know, supporting the vitamin C regeneration.
- 30:44SPEAKER_03: I mean, it for me was like a perfect pair.
- 30:46SPEAKER_03: I had to add it.
- 30:48SPEAKER_03: I know that vitamin C and E are usually purchased in skincare formulations, and I was like, I need to add glutathione to the mix.
- 30:55SPEAKER_03: And I'll be honest with you, I was very challenged by including or calling it out on the front label because it's so hard to pronounce and I didn't want to, you know, um turn people away or people who are not necessarily as um savvy or fluent in skincare ingredients just yet.
- 31:10SPEAKER_03: I think I don't want to be the first one to pave the way for glutathione, but hopefully one of the bigger conglomerates will pick it up and and and start educating the masses, and hopefully people will realize hey, it's been in clinical skin, vitamin C, you know, all this time.
- 31:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no, I'm glad you did though.
- 31:26SPEAKER_04: Somebody's gotta do it, right?
- 31:28SPEAKER_04: I mean, you're you're paving the path towards a more well-thought-out formula, you know, formula for vitamin C related products.
- 31:36SPEAKER_04: And I think that there's, you know, it makes me sad though that we have to wait for these big, huge corporations to put things on labels before the masses start picking up on it.
- 31:46SPEAKER_04: You know, I am a huge believer in that, like, you know, you need to find your own skincare routine, you guys.
- 31:52SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 31:53SPEAKER_04: You need to do your homework.
- 31:54SPEAKER_04: And that's really where, with me and this podcast, like, that's why I created it, because I wanted to give people this option of like understanding, like, there are brands out there that might not be bought by these huge corporations bought out, but they're still killing it.
- 32:07SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 32:08SPEAKER_04: There's formulas are great.
- 32:09SPEAKER_04: They're, you know, like the this is a perfect example.
- 32:12SPEAKER_04: Clinical skin is a perfect example of that.
- 32:14SPEAKER_04: Like, you know, everything is on point, formulas are on point, marketing is on point.
- 32:18SPEAKER_04: I mean, you have to find what fits you best, but if you're really looking for what we call clinical grade, quote unquote skin care, then you have to be able to see these kind of words, right?
- 32:29SPEAKER_04: And and and say that, okay, you know, this is important for me to understand.
- 32:33SPEAKER_04: What is this?
- 32:34SPEAKER_04: And it's just a Google search.
- 32:36SPEAKER_04: That's what gets me.
- 32:36SPEAKER_04: It's like, you know, I'm really glad you brought that up from a marketing perspective, Evelyn, because I think that now and more and more consumers are just gravitating towards, well, what is going to fix my problem?
- 32:47SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 32:48SPEAKER_04: That's what I'm seeing at least.
- 32:49SPEAKER_04: They're really demanding a solution.
- 32:52SPEAKER_04: And I love that.
- 32:53SPEAKER_04: But it's like if you want a solution, you guys have to do the homework of like, what it, what are these compounds?
- 32:58SPEAKER_04: How do they work?
- 33:00SPEAKER_04: Just having vitamin C in some random formula isn't enough.
- 33:03SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 33:04SPEAKER_04: You have to understand what is stability, what is the nanotechnology that stabilizes compounds?
- 33:09SPEAKER_04: Why do you bind things to certain things like gold and et cetera, et cetera?
- 33:12SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 33:13SPEAKER_04: These kind of things.
- 33:14SPEAKER_04: Absolutely.
- 33:15SPEAKER_04: You know, and so it's just like, I want uh everyone to get on this page because it's not about just us science geeks, you know, nerding out.
- 33:22SPEAKER_04: It's real health.
- 33:23SPEAKER_04: This is what makes you healthy.
- 33:25SPEAKER_04: This is what makes your skin healthy and also helps reduce signs of aging.
- 33:29SPEAKER_04: I mean, you know, everyone's screaming from the rooftops, hey, these products don't work, these don't work, my skin is sagging, my skin is not working, you know, looking the way I want.
- 33:37SPEAKER_04: Well, you're not buying the right products.
- 33:39SPEAKER_04: That's really what it is, you know.
- 33:41SPEAKER_03: Absolutely, absolutely.
- 33:42SPEAKER_03: You're so right.
- 33:43SPEAKER_03: And I'll be honest with you, when I was creating or crafting, you know, the clinical skin, Brennan, I was thinking about my the customer, the client, you know, the consumer.
- 33:50SPEAKER_03: And I was like, you know what?
- 33:51SPEAKER_03: My first customer has to be the dermatologists, the physicians, the aestheticians, because I want to seek their advocacy so the consumers in the aesthetic patients can, you know, trust their trust their recommendation.
- 34:02SPEAKER_03: So I knew that I had to speak the language not only of consumers and masses that visit Sephora, but also of the physicians.
- 34:09SPEAKER_03: So that's why I've been conducting clinical studies on the products.
- 34:12SPEAKER_03: And that's why I've been, you know, using ingredients and uh at certain levels, but you know, physicians will appreciate and they will feel you know comfortable standing behind those formulations.
- 34:22SPEAKER_03: So uh I'm glad you also pointed it out because I feel like there's so much um misinformation out there with the age of social media, the TikTok influencers, the nutrient coming along.
- 34:33SPEAKER_03: I mean, at the end of the day, you have to seek an opinion of true authority, somebody who has done and studied skin, who knows about skin.
- 34:42SPEAKER_03: And for me, it's it's not necessarily an influencer, it's unless it's a dermy influencer.
- 34:47SPEAKER_03: I I usually go to the source, which is always a doctor, physician, somebody who devoted their you know life to studying and understanding skin.
- 34:56SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 34:56SPEAKER_04: I love that, and I'm glad that you do that.
- 34:58SPEAKER_04: And I think that that needs to stay, you know what I mean?
- 35:01SPEAKER_04: Like it needs to stay in this industry.
- 35:03SPEAKER_04: A lot of times people cut corners and they, you know, they love like taking the shortcut, but you can't take shortcuts.
- 35:08SPEAKER_04: Skin is an organ, as we've said many times, you know, you have to approach it like that.
- 35:13SPEAKER_04: You have to approach it from a clinical standpoint.
- 35:15SPEAKER_04: That's why I really feel like if you're gonna create a skincare line, you better make sure it is clinical grade because there should be no other grade of skincare.
- 35:22SPEAKER_04: It's an organ, you know what I mean?
- 35:24SPEAKER_04: It's like, would you want something for your liver or your heart that wasn't clinical grade?
- 35:29SPEAKER_04: No, you would be you would not take that, right?
- 35:31SPEAKER_04: Like that's the that's the whole point.
- 35:33SPEAKER_04: So I I think it's I mean, it's brilliant.
- 35:35SPEAKER_04: I love your approach.
- 35:36SPEAKER_04: And also, I wanted to ask you about another product.
- 35:39SPEAKER_04: Um, the polypeptide firming serum.
- 35:41SPEAKER_04: I know I got the new beauty award and I love New Beauty.
- 35:44SPEAKER_04: Everyone knows I love New Beauty.
- 35:47SPEAKER_04: You know, everything they they uh you know suggest is like on point.
- 35:51SPEAKER_04: It's just like the best.
- 35:52SPEAKER_04: And so I would love for you to tell us about this one.
- 35:55SPEAKER_04: This is a really cool one.
- 35:56SPEAKER_04: Polypeptide Farming Serum.
- 35:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 35:58SPEAKER_03: Shout out to New Beauty because you know, they beauty editors, they know what they're doing.
- 36:02SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
- 36:03SPEAKER_03: I I yeah, I really trust their opinion.
- 36:05SPEAKER_03: And I think this is the only publication that actually uh kind of merges the skincare, uh, medical skincare and with like regular, you know, retail and mass skincare as well.
- 36:15SPEAKER_03: Um, but the polypeptide firming serum, um, I'll tell you the story behind it.
- 36:19SPEAKER_03: It's it's quite interesting.
- 36:20SPEAKER_03: I was, you know, obviously looking at a client report and other reports to reference like what are the main um skin concerns, why people actually seek um you know dermatologists' uh intervention and why do they shuffle skincare?
- 36:34SPEAKER_03: And you know, the the usual you know, wrinkles, pine lines, anti-aging, um discolorations and dry dehydrated skin came up, but also firmness and elasticity.
- 36:42SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, and obviously pigmentation too.
- 36:45SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, firmness and elasticity, there's not too much available on the market for firmness and elasticity.
- 36:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you can apply retinol, and you know, that will help, you know, speed up the collagen production and cell turnover, and eventually you will see firmer skin.
- 36:57SPEAKER_03: But is there any solution?
- 36:59SPEAKER_03: But it's really, really devoted to targeting, you know, lax skin.
- 37:03SPEAKER_03: And I did my research and I found out there's a lot of modalities that you can you know do in a practice setting between lasers and radio frequency devices.
- 37:11SPEAKER_03: And I spoke with many physicians and aestheticians, and I was asking them, what do you recommend um for those patients, you know, seeking in office treatment to take home to carry on the results of uh of those treatments in the office?
- 37:23SPEAKER_03: And they were saying, Oh, mostly you know, peptide-based products, and there's medical grades, uh, you know, lines out of friends, but you know, uh are big on peptides.
- 37:32SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Well, I don't see too many peptide products within the dispensing industry.
- 37:36SPEAKER_03: They might be thrown into the mix, but there's never like a focus on peptides.
- 37:39SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, there's so many peptides.
- 37:40SPEAKER_03: I mean, I started doing research, there's like hundreds of peptides, um, but there are some, you know, tried and true peptides, like the Botox in a bottle, right?
- 37:49SPEAKER_03: The original ends of the world.
- 37:51SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, well, maybe it's time to bring to the market and revive the peptide um category.
- 37:57SPEAKER_03: So I wanted to make sure that I introduce uh peptides.
- 38:00SPEAKER_03: And I also found out that growth factors, um, you know, like ingredients that are also responsible for you know improving skin permanence, but um, I am not personally the biggest fan of growth factors, the ones that are humane, you know, human-derived.
- 38:15SPEAKER_03: So I wanted to steer away from that.
- 38:17SPEAKER_03: Uh, however, in my research, I found out that the copper peptide is actually considered to be a growth factor analog.
- 38:23SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, oh, I had an aha moment.
- 38:25SPEAKER_03: It's like, bingo, I need a copper peptide in this formulation on top of the other peptides that I already know that are you know working because there's heavy research behind it.
- 38:34SPEAKER_03: So I was like, okay, copper peptide is my answer to growth factor.
- 38:38SPEAKER_03: Uh copper peptide is much smaller than growth factor, so it's you know able to penetrate the skin and it has similar benefit.
- 38:45SPEAKER_03: I was like, okay, great.
- 38:46SPEAKER_03: So that's that's how kind of like the polypeptide formulation came about.
- 38:50SPEAKER_03: But on top of polyptide on top of peptides in the formula, you have so many other wonderful ingredients, some of them being uh DNA repairing enzymes.
- 38:59SPEAKER_03: And I'm not allowed to make this claim because I'm not you know a physician or a medical professional, but if you do your research and you Google a couple of the ingredients that are in there, you you will see the search results yielding those um those benefits.
- 39:11SPEAKER_03: Um so this is also a hydrating product.
- 39:14SPEAKER_03: You know, we did a clinical study.
- 39:15SPEAKER_03: I did a clinical study with like an independent laboratory here in the United States, and then they were able to measure um uh uh the hydration, yeah, immediate hydration, long-term hydration.
- 39:27SPEAKER_03: So this product is not only firming uh to the skin, but also hydrates and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- 39:34SPEAKER_03: Uh, but first and foremost, it is a firming product.
- 39:37SPEAKER_03: Um and uh yeah, so this was like the first uh child that got released under clinical skin umbrella.
- 39:44SPEAKER_03: And I'm glad that new beauty editors when they got a sample of it because it is I think they got a you know, like the final prototype, but not in its final packaging.
- 39:52SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, they became, I guess, firm believers into the formula and they got awarded uh a nice recognition by the new beauty team, which I was very grateful for.
- 40:01SPEAKER_03: Because, you know, Ernest put us on a yeah, I'm sorry, go ahead.
- 40:06SPEAKER_04: No, no, go ahead.
- 40:06SPEAKER_04: I'm sorry, I interrupted you.
- 40:08SPEAKER_03: No, no, no, because you know what you know, we were featured.
- 40:10SPEAKER_03: You know, my my my colleague Peptai Bermuse was featured alongside you know Skin Suruku's Alastans of the World.
- 40:16SPEAKER_03: You know, we started playing in the same sandbox as those guys that have a legacy and and and a cult following, so it kind of put us on the map and it was definitely a door opener.
- 40:25SPEAKER_03: I was very, very um grateful for that recognition.
- 40:28SPEAKER_03: It definitely came um you know unexpected and very surprising.
- 40:32SPEAKER_03: But uh I guess when you see a good product and you you do want to recognize it.
- 40:36SPEAKER_03: So that's that's the polyfa paper, I mean serum.
- 40:39SPEAKER_03: And and I know a lot of physicians and aestheticians are using this product, recommending it like post-micronealing.
- 40:45SPEAKER_03: We haven't tested it post-micronealing, but I know it's being used right now in a couple of practices uh across the country.
- 40:50SPEAKER_03: And uh, I even heard from a lovely um Asian skin physician uh who's super sensitive, uh has a super sensitive skin.
- 41:00SPEAKER_03: And um, you know, she's been applying uh the polypeptor feeling serum after a certain laser treatment that you know she has access to in the always and she's like, I can't believe it, you know, I didn't break out, I didn't react it.
- 41:11SPEAKER_03: And to me, it was like the most important um testimony because I know the product is safe and I probably know the product works.
- 41:18SPEAKER_03: And if the physician says it, if your mom says it, that's music to my ears, you know.
- 41:23SPEAKER_03: I uh yeah, it kind of like it validates me professionally.
- 41:26SPEAKER_04: No, it's I mean it's it's quality products, you know what I'm saying?
- 41:30SPEAKER_04: Like it's it's not about, I mean, honest to honest to goodness, like my mother, for example, you know, let's just take her as an example of a consumer.
- 41:38SPEAKER_04: She is very picky, you know, and it's not just about like actual efficacy, which that is number one on her list, I know for sure, but it's also about the feel of a product, right?
- 41:48SPEAKER_04: And how it makes you feel.
- 41:49SPEAKER_04: And every time she asks me for skincare or recommendations, she's like, I want something that has been, you know, it's gone through the works, it's been tried, it's tried and true.
- 42:00SPEAKER_04: It's something that you believe in, it's something that makes sense scientifically.
- 42:03SPEAKER_04: And that's why I recommended this, you know what I mean, to her because I was like, this is these are the kind of products that are going to make a difference.
- 42:09SPEAKER_04: And she actually has given great feedback.
- 42:12SPEAKER_04: She was like, it's reducing my age spots, it's reducing that, you know, sagging you get with age around your uh neck and uh the other areas around your neck, like it's helping with the jawline sagging.
- 42:23SPEAKER_04: I mean, these are things that are real results that you're seeing, you know, and there's and that that there that's you know, on its own a huge testament to a product is if you can see visible results with a topical product, that is something that is so awesome and rare that you, you know what I mean?
- 42:38SPEAKER_04: It's it's hard to not get behind a brand like that.
- 42:40SPEAKER_03: So I mean Especially, yeah, yeah, especially farming because I feel like skin laxity is such a hard um, you know, I guess, concern to treat, to be honest with you, that you know, to see some improvement.
- 42:52SPEAKER_03: And in our clinical study, I made sure with the clinical study I have when I wrote the protocol that we run it for at least three months period, because I'm like, you're not gonna see meaningful, like visible, I guess, improvement in skin right away.
- 43:04SPEAKER_03: We need to conduct a lengthier study than just like one month or two months.
- 43:07SPEAKER_03: So we have run it for three months, and we saw that we had different touch points throughout the three-month period, and we saw that the results were improving with consecutive use.
- 43:14SPEAKER_03: So I feel like the longer you stay on this treatment product, the the more benefit you're gonna give.
- 43:19SPEAKER_03: And sometimes it's more of a proactive approach, you know, not everything will be corrected, um, but at least it's not gonna get worse in a sense.
- 43:27SPEAKER_03: So you maintain what you have.
- 43:29SPEAKER_03: And uh with the polypeptic framing steer, when I was looking at um like sagging jawlines and you know, and then in general skin, I was like, you know what?
- 43:37SPEAKER_03: I think the sagging is not only on the face, it's also the neck, it's like the decollette.
- 43:41SPEAKER_03: I wanted to make sure that I create a product that can be used on both face, neck, and decollette.
- 43:45SPEAKER_03: So when I did the clinical study, I made sure that we tested on sensitive skin patients and they applied it not only on the face, but also neck and and decollette to make sure that I can make this kind of claim and call out for customers to follow as well.
- 43:59unknown: Um
- 44:00SPEAKER_03: Why you see it a little bit larger than you know one ounce and the price point is there, but it is a treatment product.
- 44:05SPEAKER_03: I tell everybody a little goes along the way.
- 44:07SPEAKER_03: You're not supposed to squeeze the entire, you know, like amp plus wrench on on your face, just a little bit goes along the way.
- 44:13SPEAKER_04: It lasts forever, too.
- 44:15SPEAKER_04: Like I mine personally, like I use mine pretty regularly, I would say, and I still have like 75% left.
- 44:23SPEAKER_04: Like it's it's a lot of you know, so you've really you know you've really packed it in there for everyone who is wondering about price points or whatever.
- 44:32SPEAKER_04: You know, I always I I'm a huge believer in invest in things that work, invest in things that are going to make a difference in your life because if you go to the drugstore and you buy 15 products that are just meh, you know, you're gonna end up spending the same amount of money and you're not gonna see any results.
- 44:46SPEAKER_04: So rather than doing that, invest in skincare lines that are actually, you know, they're they're innovative, they're technology driven, they're science driven, and that same amount of money is gonna get you real results.
- 44:58SPEAKER_04: So, you know, this is a per I'm so glad you brought that up, Alina, because it's so important to, you know, to put that out there for consumers is that you know, you're not really, you know, so many people are demonizing brands for price points.
- 45:09SPEAKER_04: But my my clapback to that is always, well, what are you getting?
- 45:13SPEAKER_04: Look at what you're getting, okay?
- 45:15SPEAKER_04: Look at the the quality of what you're getting.
- 45:17SPEAKER_04: You are getting a topical product that is giving you like invasive level results.
- 45:23SPEAKER_04: You know what I mean?
- 45:24SPEAKER_04: Like you're if you went to a plastic surgeon and they did, if they were to work on your elasticity and your skin sagging, you know what they would do?
- 45:32SPEAKER_04: They would pull up the fascia of your skin.
- 45:34SPEAKER_04: That's called a facelift.
- 45:35SPEAKER_04: They would try to put Botox in the jawline so that the platisman muscle muscle moves upwards.
- 45:41SPEAKER_04: That those are all invasive techniques, okay?
- 45:43SPEAKER_04: If you can do something that's more topical and it's giving you similar results, that is worth your money, you guys.
- 45:50SPEAKER_04: That's worth it.
- 45:51SPEAKER_04: Like you go and get Botox, how much are you spending?
- 45:54SPEAKER_04: Much more than that, you know, and it's like it really comes down to this idea of like, you know, you pick and choose what works and you stick to it.
- 46:02SPEAKER_04: And I guarantee you, if you guys pick up a line that is clinically proven, it is something that, you know, like we've been talking about here with clinical skin, the clinical trials are there, the data is there, you're gonna see results.
- 46:14SPEAKER_04: And those results are going to make you, they're gonna validate for your own self why you spent that money.
- 46:20SPEAKER_04: So that's you know, my little tidbit on why consumers need to gravitate away from this like drugstore only mentality, because I'm I'm sorry, but the drugstore products are not working, you know, they just don't work.
- 46:30SPEAKER_04: They I've tried so many of them, almost everything out there, and there's very few that work.
- 46:35SPEAKER_04: And so, you know, I just I really encourage everybody, you know, especially our listenership, you know, invest in the right stuff.
- 46:41SPEAKER_04: Do your homework, invest in the right stuff, see if a brand jives with you.
- 46:45SPEAKER_04: I guarantee you, like Clinical Skin is one of the brands.
- 46:48SPEAKER_04: I am fully behind the brand, Evelina.
- 46:50SPEAKER_04: I love everything you've done.
- 46:52SPEAKER_04: I mean, honestly, you've created a line of product in the correct way, in the way that you should approach scientifically anything that has to do with the skin.
- 47:02SPEAKER_04: So hats off to you and your whole team because I'm a huge fan.
- 47:06SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 47:07SPEAKER_03: And I call out, you know, listen to uh co-founder Israel, who you know pretty much funded the project and he gave me a carte blanche.
- 47:13SPEAKER_03: He said, just do it.
- 47:14SPEAKER_03: And you know, I I I was like, I want to do it the right way because if you if I you know have to stand behind the prize, I want to make sure that I do it if as if skin of you know, um skinsuruko was to do it or if Obaji was to do it.
- 47:26SPEAKER_03: So um this was not uh inexpensive project, but I believe it's worth it.
- 47:31SPEAKER_03: It eventually will pay in the long run.
- 47:33SPEAKER_04: Um absolutely well, yeah, and I really encourage everybody.
- 47:36SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna link everything in the um concept art for this episode, as well as put um you know the products up because we're starting to really populate our recommendations.
