  Potiphar, an important official who worked for

  Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. Joseph had to work

  as a servant in Potiphar's house, far from his

  father and everything he knew. Even though life

  had changed so much, Joseph continued to work
• 1:21
  hard and honor God and responsible. Potiphar
• 1:30
  noticed that everything Joseph did seemed to
• 1:33
  go well. He could see that God was with Joseph.

  Soon, Potiphar trusted Joseph with more and more
• 1:42
  responsibilities. Joseph was put in charge of
• 1:46
  the whole household, taking care of food, supplies,
• 1:50
  and helping the other servants stay organized.

  But then, something very unfair happened. Someone

  in Potiphar's house told a lie about Joseph.

  Even though he had done nothing wrong, Joseph

  was thrown into prison. While prison is a dark
• 2:16
  and lonely place, Joseph didn't give up. He kept
• 2:20
  trusting God, even in that hard situation. And

  once again, people noticed something different

  about him. The prison keeper saw that Joseph
• 2:32
  was helpful, wise, and trustworthy. Before long,
• 2:37
  Joseph was helping to care for the other prisoners
• 2:41
  and was given special responsibilities. Even
• 2:44
  in prison, Joseph stayed faithful, and God stayed
• 2:48
  close to Joseph. One day, two new prisoners arrived.

  They had once worked for Pharaoh, but something
• 2:58
  had gone wrong, and now they were in trouble.

  One had been a cupbearer, who served drinks to
• 3:05
  the king, and the other was the king's chief
• 3:08
  baker. One night, both of these men had strange
• 3:13
  dreams. The next morning, they looked worried
• 3:17
  and confused. Joseph noticed, and gently asked
• 3:22
  why they seemed upset. When they explained their
• 3:25
  dreams, Joseph listened carefully. He told them
• 3:30
  that only God could help people understand dreams,
• 3:33
  but he would pray and share what God helped him
• 3:37
  understand. Joseph explained what their dreams
• 3:41
  meant. He told the cupbearer that he would soon
• 3:45
  be forgiven and return to Pharaoh's palace. But

  the baker's dream meant he would not return to
• 3:52
  his old job. Everything happened just as Joseph
• 3:56
  had said. Before the cupbearer left prison, Joseph

  kindly asked him to remember him and speak to
• 4:05
  Pharaoh about his situation. But once the cupbearer
• 4:08
  returned to the palace, he forgot all about Joseph
• 4:12
  for a while. Still, Joseph waited patiently and
• 4:17
  continued to trust God. Even though life wasn't
• 4:21
  fair, god had not forgotten him something big
