Latest / Aspergers & Autism Podcast [The Aspie World] AuDHD / AUTISM: Being Awesomely AUTISTIC!! (Birmingham Autism Show)
Transcript
- 0:07Hey guys, this is a recording taken from my talk that I did at
- 0:11the Birmingham autism show in June of 2019.
- 0:16So only just done this. I thought it was cool to record
- 0:19it and actually share it with you guys.
- 0:20It's a bit long. I hope you enjoy it.
- 0:22It's all about being awesomely autistic looking at positive
- 0:24rather than negative. Let me know what you think.
- 0:26Give me a tweet at that ask me world.
- 0:28Thanks. We're folding.
- 0:33We're calling good. Okay, so right let's get started
- 0:36from the beginning. This is me.
- 0:39I'll close this picture. I took it myself so it doesn't
- 0:41it. So I'm down on my talk.
- 0:44Basically today. We're talking about being
- 0:46awesomely autistic and it's kind of like it's houses many levels
- 0:50to what I'm going to talk about. But the idea is that we talk
- 0:53about positive versus negatives that kind of thing anyway, so
- 0:56I'll give you background on who I am and what I do if you want
- 0:59to follow me on any of my social media or anything like that if
- 1:00you're brand new to me, this is all my stuff.
- 1:02Stuff. So basically, let me take my
- 1:06battery saver thing off. I'm gonna sell my camera off
- 1:08because I realize I'm telling my legs and we also see that on
- 1:10YouTube. Okay.
- 1:13So basically, my name is Don I my brand is the ask me world.
- 1:15I know it was probably a poor choice at the time.
- 1:17I thought it was cool. But you know two years on as a
- 1:20silly name. Anyway why I just advise logins
- 1:23Awesomes freaking cool because it is cool and people need to
- 1:26remember that it's cool. It has some downsides which is
- 1:28very very cool. So my YouTube channels, I'm 93
- 1:32thousand. Which is kind of cool.
- 1:34I've got six million views on my videos.
- 1:36It's won two Awards, which is crazy and I super I loved it.
- 1:41I enjoyed in YouTube. I'm also a best-selling author
- 1:43in three languages two countries and published author didn't do
- 1:48myself like a publishing deal and also want to talk a little
- 1:52bit about why I do what I do. So that's my background.
- 1:54Like what I'm doing. I also actually upload videos
- 1:57and content on every single problem.
- 1:58You can think of I've Loved podcast every week of look
- 2:00there's an Instagram Facebook YouTube.
- 2:02YouTube Twitter everything you think of Pinterest like ticks
- 2:06are whatever if it's a social media profile that I'm Onyx I'm
- 2:08Safta social media. There's something interesting
- 2:10also have ADHD and Asperger syndrome.
- 2:12So if anybody doesn't really understand the keep up with me
- 2:15just like raise your hand and I'll try and repeat with a thing
- 2:17I'm saying if I'm going too fast because ADHD has a tendency to
- 2:20run away from me and I say yeah interesting.
- 2:23Anyway, we want to jump about I don't know why I want to jump on
- 2:25the stage weird, isn't it? Right?
- 2:26Okay, so why do why do I start my YouTube channel advocating
- 2:31for autism in? Because I wanted to make an
- 2:34impact in a positive way. I kept looking online at videos
- 2:36of people talking about autism when I was diagnosed and you
- 2:39knew nothing about it and then I'll go from like oh, you know,
- 2:41we'll have to search for something some content about it.
- 2:44But I want any internet technology syndrome fan videos
- 2:46and they were just just really depressing really bad lip videos
- 2:49if people weren't entertaining and engaging which is like my
- 2:52life sucks cooler as magicians. I'm up now ASD and I was like,
- 2:56ah, this is horrible to watch. I mean a lot like the people
- 2:58that horrible just bad content, you know, and then it really
- 3:00gets that I was taught compelled to lie.
- 3:02Like all right, I'm gonna pull content.
- 3:03I'll make it really bubbly and needless to say the first video.
- 3:06I'll put out terrible, you know, because the first video 250
- 3:10videos anyone makes a new to be terrible.
- 3:11So for the first video that was rubbish, but I kind of got
- 3:13better at it and I got the videos lighter and nicer and
- 3:15bubbly I want engaging and more confident and and I love doing
- 3:19what I do because what I do is I'm able to spend messages of
- 3:22personal insight to my life how I live my life in the ups and
- 3:24downs and I was a lot of downs with all the apps as well and
- 3:27hacks and tips and tricks on how I get through my day because a
- 3:29lot of people say like, oh, how do you do this?
- 3:31How did you manage to overcome that?
- 3:32Like trick videos, I'm not content pump it out and I hope
- 3:35that people can digest it and take something away from it
- 3:38takeaways a as well. I'm really at and I really
- 3:40really want to help people and that's exactly why I do what I
- 3:43do and it's important because I feel like there needs to be role
- 3:46models in these areas, you know, like so they're so this ability
- 3:50really is currently lacking in and really like big heroes that
- 3:53are seeing people from you know, like, you know people thinks on
- 3:58and looking up to them basically and I wanted to be able to make
- 4:00a platform where people could have got some if they wanted to
- 4:02I feel like I could do those things and I'll speak to you
- 4:04about some of the things I've achieved with just a bit of kind
- 4:07of focusing on the positive rather than negative because you
- 4:10know not inspecting condition comes with a bunch of negatives
- 4:13because every time you go to a doctor or hospital is pretty
- 4:15much negative isn't you're not gonna document like hey, I'm
- 4:17fine. You know, you always go there
- 4:19because it's like, oh, you know, I feel like rubbish or you know,
- 4:22something's wrong. I've basically what happens when
- 4:23you're in a clinical kind of environment and so I feel people
- 4:26who jump into this clinical environment and I feel like a
- 4:28bug down you get a diagnosis and diagnose and somebody was
- 4:30something means bad which doesn't always mean bad but of I
- 4:33just means different and different is fine.
- 4:35So this is why I think it's good and having a positive message
- 4:38positivity is awesome. There's so much negativity out
- 4:40there. So many people want to tough,
- 4:42you know, bitch and moan and complain about stuff that
- 4:44doesn't make any sense of why moan about something get on and
- 4:47change it make a difference make it, you know be the change you
- 4:49wish to see in the world as I think it's Gandhi once said, so
- 4:52it's all those things. I want to be able to spread a
- 4:53positive message and be awesome with it and just be like I get
- 4:57every piece like that was so psyched to be here.
- 4:59Look at me smiling about it and often smile about things still
- 5:01ridiculous of talking about positivity.
- 5:03Funny isn't it? I'm going to try to up QA is in
- 5:06a bit. So I'm going to try and paste my
- 5:08talk out as much as I can. So you guys can ask me some
- 5:10questions and this is super laid back.
- 5:12I finished this the prep for this talk yesterday about 7 p.m.
- 5:168 p.m. So you guys are getting super
- 5:17raw data here. This is something that is it
- 5:20completely wrong. So being awesomely trusting.
- 5:22What do I mean? So I like to see autism as being
- 5:26something that can be empowered. There's a lot of people who will
- 5:29get a diagnosis and be like, oh, I've got to go through this
- 5:31therapy, and I've got this struggle.
- 5:32And I've got that struggle and you know, they may find it hard
- 5:35to find work which is fine. I find it hard to find workers.
- 5:37What about my own job? And you have areas of your life
- 5:40which seemed completely daunting and you go.
- 5:42Oh my goodness, you know, I can't get a normal job or a
- 5:44typical job and my friends are you know, you know Geeks and
- 5:48whatever who hang out online and play video games, which is cool
- 5:50as heck. But some people may see this as
- 5:52bizarre and weird and I feel like people always kept tend to
- 5:56focus on the negative and how many times as you know, I'll
- 5:59tell you say something like hey, I'm not just going to go.
- 6:00Wow. That's awesome.
- 6:02Yeah, is that it? I'm so sorry.
- 6:04I'm really sorry for you know, I don't say it.
- 6:05Sometimes people change when you tell someone you have an awesome
- 6:07special edition. They say oh, yeah, and I kind of
- 6:10have this like we had pity it's like we talking about I'm
- 6:13absolutely fine. You're the weirdo, you know,
- 6:15it's so funny and I found this saw so compelling that I wanted
- 6:17to make this whole like talk about it.
- 6:20I found it so funny. So some of the things that I
- 6:21find empowering hyper-focus, right?
- 6:24Oh my goodness. I love it.
- 6:25All right. I've got ADHD.
- 6:26So sometimes my my attention gets like, you know spot around
- 6:29everyone like, this is cool. This is cool man.
- 6:30That's cool. This is called sad that this is
- 6:32Cool happens all the time, but sometimes I'm like walking about
- 6:36and I'm like, I see something on the floor and it could be like a
- 6:38piece of like a broken calculator.
- 6:39I'm like, wow, what is this and I'm start thinking about it and
- 6:43I'm like, you know, where did this come from?
- 6:45How did you build it into something else?
- 6:46What was it originally made as I want to have the solving path to
- 6:49created one with plastic was actually it is it is Petey
- 6:51plastic. I want to help the chemical
- 6:52composition specific plastic is and I'm gonna like do be
- 6:55strengthened in a half an hour ago and you stood here looking
- 6:56at this piece of rubbish on the floor.
- 6:58And so this is a cool thing. It can be deemed as something
- 7:01quite negative but on Hole is a super positive because hyper
- 7:04Focus lens to something quite interesting.
- 7:06I will tell you story about hyper-focus.
- 7:08I was obsessed with wanting to grow my YouTube channel.
- 7:10I wanted to like get my videos too real to the people who
- 7:13wanted to see it because having contains me, this is cool.
- 7:15I love my first edit my family. I think this is really important
- 7:18to share my videos are getting you know, okay views but nothing
- 7:21crazy and I was like, how do I wait?
- 7:22Why am I not love do something wrong, you know, there's 1.3
- 7:25billion people on YouTube and only like to people watch my
- 7:28video how I did it something called search engine
- 7:30optimization really boring and I know I love it.
- 7:32So isn't it but it's all student algorithmic changes in Google
- 7:35love it. Oh my goodness not accept
- 7:36algorithms. Are they so then I am I decided
- 7:39to watch these videos. I said it so late all night into
- 7:42the night my girlfriend like did you go to bed?
- 7:43I'm like no, of course check out this like blog on algorithmic
- 7:46changes and cool, you know like Siwon testing and she's like
- 7:48what if he's talking about and I studied and studied and I
- 7:50watched this YouTube channel called influence that video
- 7:52influencers and interviewed expert how to grow the channels
- 7:55and I was like in all of these men.
- 7:56I was like, these guys are on women.
- 7:58These guys are amazing. Like how do they grow their
- 7:59channels is so knowledgeable in this field that was in January.
- 8:022018 if you fast forward to July 2000 so June 2018.
- 8:08I was in Los Angeles. I was invited by the by
- 8:10YouTube's go to VidCon. My channel has grown
- 8:12exponentially and I was an interview by that exact Channel
- 8:15video influencers in June to tell them how I grew my channel
- 8:18so quickly. So I learned from watching this
- 8:20channel to be Super Hyper focused on that content to be
- 8:23then interviewed by these people about it.
- 8:25And that was crazy that moment my life.
- 8:27I was like hyper focus is an amazing thing.
- 8:29So it should always be empowered so that type of focus Dedication
- 8:34to detail. Okay.
- 8:35This is another trade with people with ASD dedication to
- 8:37detail my friend a good friend of mines of tattoo artist and
- 8:41she has an Autism Spectrum diagnosis and her attention to
- 8:45detail is phenomenal. Her tattoos are amazing such as
- 8:47portraits at it. She's actually a tattooist on
- 8:49MTV called empty with just the two of us and she says he's
- 8:51crazy projects and she's super clever and I love it because
- 8:55again, it's showing that okay. She's got a stok were rubbish at
- 8:58conversations when we're out in like public and I don't really
- 9:00like going out to bars and talking to people because that's
- 9:02It's the most mundane thing in the world and too much noise,
- 9:05you know, we all know what noises like but she can make a
- 9:08really good potting tattoo onion.
- 9:09That's awesome. That's awesome some other stuff
- 9:12problem solving. I love problem solving.
- 9:15This is another thing. I want to talk about with being
- 9:18awesome. This is what do I mean by being
- 9:19awesomely autistics. I also have a diagnosis of
- 9:21Dyslexia terrible spelling carried for buggery and my
- 9:24handwriting is terrible. I mean, I wish I could show you
- 9:27my handwriting is terrible. That's why I love computers so
- 9:29much. I talked to my phone because I'm
- 9:30terrible. So I just like, you know, Jesus.
- 9:32Well this out it does it it's amazing and I look like the most
- 9:35Dramatical like Juniors ever. I'm just I say a word and it's
- 9:37puzzling like look at its upper horizontal Capital dosage and
- 9:40ago cool. You can smell that and I got to
- 9:41hide up. My phone did it from but I'm
- 9:43dyslexic and I got a book deal and I have a best selling book
- 9:47in two countries in the market in the UK.
- 9:49It's also on three languages and an audio book.
- 9:52Yeah. How'd so dyslexia get a
- 9:54publishing Beyond got a best-selling book.
- 9:55It's called problem solving I realized that I was terrible at
- 9:58the things that I needed to do to get a book out, but I was
- 10:02good at Time I was good at putting my message on had a
- 10:04really good story to tell so I found a ghost writer and she
- 10:08said, okay, I'll tell you what you talk to me and I'll write
- 10:10the book with you and then I can put it into know some kind of
- 10:13written contacted people to actually digest rather than
- 10:15gibberish that I normally put up and we did that and it worked a
- 10:18treat. So this is a means to an end.
- 10:19I managed to do that. So when I was like, I can't be
- 10:21an author because I'm dyslexic. It's just total Tosh because you
- 10:24can be I did it. No best talent.
- 10:26You can she's crazy never wildest dreams.
- 10:28Would I ever be able to do that? Another thing I left school
- 10:32know? This is I went to school in the
- 10:3390s right having a lot inspection condition in the 90s
- 10:36was just like abysmal. I mean like to terrible mean
- 10:40like 1997 first year of high school.
- 10:42It was like I'll like what like I didn't get it.
- 10:45They were just like, okay you need to actually reading
- 10:47lessons. Are you can't you want to stay
- 10:48indoors and all the kids outside having it break that I didn't
- 10:51get it, right Miss load is gone. It was a terrible time but our
- 10:54school. No GCS is I don't wait until I
- 10:55had 202 there's like a double the wanting to cease in a team
- 10:59because I love computers. So there was in my Mid-20s, like
- 11:03completely just like just out of diagnosis of Asperger syndrome
- 11:06as it was then before they changed it and remember think of
- 11:10myself. I was obsessed with science when
- 11:11I was a kid. I loved it.
- 11:12But I was never academically in line with what the typical kind
- 11:16of idea of Academia. So then I was like, how am I
- 11:18going to do? I want to do something amazing
- 11:20so fast forward. I actually completed two years
- 11:22ago completed the degree in chemistry, which is amazing and
- 11:26I love it. I love chemistry.
- 11:27It's an amazing subject. If you don't like it what we may
- 11:29fight later, but now everybody and it's real I say something
- 11:32like Got to be encouraged in the like.
- 11:34Whoa, that's the worst the subject.
- 11:35That's an awesome subject. Drink Break please take a drink
- 11:39everyone. No, but I did it and it was
- 11:43finding a means to an end. How did I do that?
- 11:45I have disability access and support when I was in university
- 11:48amazing phenomenal without that would never be able to do it but
- 11:51it's finding a solution to the problem that presents itself in
- 11:54reality and we're all about problem solving I can guarantee
- 11:56that every single person here or know somebody who's on the
- 11:58Spectrum. Whereas on respecting themselves
- 12:00knows that they can problem solve like a beast and it's
- 12:03amazing. I love it like another guy no of
- 12:04who broke the handle on his bedroom made one out of Lego and
- 12:06it works fine. Mm.
- 12:07So it like, you know, there's always a way around a problem.
- 12:12And this is a good thing. The problem is a negative thing,
- 12:13but we don't focus on we focus on the fact that they can
- 12:15overcome these things. Also last thing about me blowing
- 12:18my own trumpet is actually a multi musician as well.
- 12:20And I might have to I want to record a record and have it out
- 12:23in Japan. It's like one of my dreams like,
- 12:24how do I get a rocket? I went out in Japan.
- 12:25I don't know why I think pop punk music was Big in Japan or
- 12:27something ridiculous. So I did it and I got a dead
- 12:29knew nobody in Japan. I must record in Japan get a
- 12:32record out and I went to number 5 and HMV charts and all my
- 12:34goodness. It was crazy ass on Blitz you
- 12:36some for one of my I was like what the heck that was crazy,
- 12:39right did it because it was a problem for so as a problem.
- 12:42I was like problems that good because I can solve them.
- 12:44Yeah. It's like, you know, it's not
- 12:47friends out this thing. That should body down problems.
- 12:48I think she get you energized to be like, how do we overcome
- 12:50this? You know what I mean?
- 12:51How do I get myself through this because that's all it is.
- 12:53It's overcoming things that you find challenging.
- 12:55I think that's amazing. So there's something I always
- 12:58think about when people hear the term autism like I was saying
- 13:00just at the beginning of the talk people think of things like
- 13:02a vulnerable person. Are you?
- 13:04Okay? I like I'm fine.
- 13:06Don't be so stupid. And they look at you as if they
- 13:08look down at you and I feel like you're incapable of certain
- 13:10things, but what they should be thinking was that was awesome.
- 13:13This should think of things like Dan Aykroyd or Greta, thunbergii
- 13:16or Susan Boyle somebody who's really like empowered in that
- 13:19moment and can do something fantastic because that's the way
- 13:22their brain works. So when someone hears the word
- 13:24awesome, they shouldn't think they should think.
- 13:26Whoa cool. I got us know this person
- 13:28because they're going to be super dope at something it could
- 13:31it could be anything and this is what there's a lot like a
- 13:34fascinates me because like Nikola Tesla was said to have
- 13:36been on the Spectrum. If he was alive today, he would
- 13:38have definitely had a diagnosis and Nicholas has great guy.
- 13:41We've never had the technology we have today without the Ultras
- 13:43currently he producing shown as what we could use things like
- 13:46that is amazing. So when we what I'm trying to
- 13:49say is I'm trying to change the perspective from being utterly
- 13:52being something that is super like- just means we are super
- 13:54empowering. It's like, ah love it.
- 13:56That's why it's cool man, you know, I mean, it's cool.
- 13:59It's awesome. Another matter not just a
- 14:00question of dull never ever in my life mazing.
- 14:02Love it. Okay.
- 14:03So the yeah, so darn it looks Okay, because we focus on the
- 14:09negative. This is what this is what really
- 14:10gets me. So the media the reason we can
- 14:12really focus on the negative of Austin comedian always says it
- 14:15they always say something like oh there's something bad
- 14:17happened in the media and the guy has ADHD all something bad
- 14:20happen immediate diagnosis of a special I think some stupid
- 14:23Americans we shot up a school. Obviously, it's America and then
- 14:26it was like, oh this guy has asked for just another fad.
- 14:28Why do they put that in it? Like what they just feel like
- 14:31it's because the media feeds off sensationalism Greta Thornburg,
- 14:34she went outside and she was like climate change in like Glue
- 14:37this girl is changing the world and nobody says for a second
- 14:40gosh, he's on the Spectrum says young girl climate change
- 14:44events, like Chaplin your automatic, especially climate
- 14:47change the myth, you know, because idiot this girl.
- 14:49Nobody ever says hey this woman, you know this young girl has a
- 14:52lot of special edition. How cool is that?
- 14:54How cool is she and that's what we need to change it and it's
- 14:56the if partly because of media look at the never tells the good
- 14:58stuff. So it's about to happen again.
- 15:00It's because media Thrive off sensationalism and they want
- 15:02somebody to be completely like the most obscure thing.
- 15:05They ever that coming up so What does being awesome awesome Hill
- 15:10testicle look like it looks like this.
- 15:12Let me put it this way. It looks like the kid who is the
- 15:15best thought might player you've ever seen in life right could be
- 15:17terrible social with fans will go to the park.
- 15:20You know, there's not really into BMX thing or whatever kids
- 15:21do these days and I want scooters, right and I'm super
- 15:24old. So but it's a beast Fortnight.
- 15:27I can smash Fortnight and Pesci any single day that week can
- 15:30build it the Taj Mahal in Minecraft.
- 15:32Yeah, you know Idols so many autistic individuals who just
- 15:35absolute beasts on Minecraft. I love it.
- 15:37I actually did my degree for my dissertation.
- 15:40I built a teaching tool in Minecraft to teach kids quantum
- 15:43physics Through Chemistry, which was a computational chemistry or
- 15:46physical chemistry Through computational Chemistry and it
- 15:49was knuckle asymmetry in group Theory super awesome stuff, but
- 15:51I did it in Minecraft that anybody can pick it up and learn
- 15:54about it loved it. I took the whole anyway that the
- 15:57so that it's like kind of like well-being awesomely autistic
- 16:00means kind of like the people you see it like alarmed who
- 16:02built this like dragging out of Lego or something.
- 16:05You think it's they did people who are not Reading from The
- 16:07Ledger. I mean, it seems like I can make
- 16:09this now you want to see like a I don't know anything like
- 16:11spaceship out of Lego and it just build this thing and I
- 16:13think I was cool. So it's having a specific world
- 16:18class or something because everybody I know on spectrum is
- 16:20going to be world class has something just amazing things
- 16:23and they are on this is a his all times are you know, you do
- 16:26YouTubers have a look at the cameras, but I love playing like
- 16:28this video game. Like I don't want my or whatever
- 16:30I said. Well, that's yours.
- 16:32That's what you do playing a video game is a really good
- 16:34skill, you know, I have friends who are paid.
- 16:37It's a lot of money to play video games for a living.
- 16:40So why don't you do it and you can do it better than them and
- 16:43then you win, you know, so there's so many like Avenues of
- 16:45people just realize the potentially have rather than
- 16:47looking at myself saying that although I can only play video
- 16:49games so known I can play video games better than anybody else
- 16:52in the world and prove it prove it do it amazing mother so Let
- 17:00me I'm just going to make sure I guess right because I am
- 17:01dyslexic and I'm reading from my notes.
- 17:02So they only second so one of the things that strikes me is
- 17:07that parents teachers academics. They never kind of encourage
- 17:10those things that they see in a student or a person who is on
- 17:14the spectrum. They see this person that we
- 17:16need to constantly help and support which is true.
- 17:19Some people do need constant helping father's about there's
- 17:21nothing wrong with that. But what they should be doing is
- 17:23really focusing on the empowerment part of hey, what's
- 17:26this person good up. Why are they so good wrap that
- 17:28because people take it to stay. Well, yeah, but I'll play the
- 17:30leg of all day. Anyway, this is the support
- 17:32needs. It's like no no.
- 17:33No. Hey, whoa, why don't we like
- 17:35build something? Why don't you answer Lego
- 17:36competition? Why don't we make a display go
- 17:38to an outgoing display Lego like there's so many Avenues.
- 17:41Nobody thinks about these things because it's so focused on the
- 17:43negative. So we spend our time folks and
- 17:45exit will never be able to empower these individuals which
- 17:49is a crying shame, but it's changing and I'm doing it with
- 17:52my channel. So what like what am I see for
- 17:54like the future right at so my dear the future is, you know,
- 17:58keep I get messages every single day from people saying thank you
- 18:01so much for what you've done. It opened my eyes to this.
- 18:03I was able to get diagnosis. I was able to realize that I'm
- 18:05not alone. I'm not secluded.
- 18:06I actually wrote a community on Facebook and Discord as well
- 18:09with thousands of people on there.
- 18:10They can communicate and Converse about their condition
- 18:13or whatever. It was spikes that interest is
- 18:15of course a support group was also have an issue where you can
- 18:17go on and talk to them as well. It's an amazing tool and it's
- 18:20building community on YouTube Facebook and Discord and places
- 18:23like that. I find like that that amazing so
- 18:26I got his messages all times keep saying thank you so much,
- 18:28and I know that I'm The right path.
- 18:30I'm going forward in the right direction leave negativity at
- 18:33the door and I'm going to keep pushing this positive message.
- 18:37That often is freaking cool because it is and I'll challenge
- 18:39anybody tells me it isn't because they will lose every
- 18:42single time. It is super awesome cool.
- 18:45I could use a stronger word, but I'm being PC and I like the vpg
- 18:49also, but you know, this is this is my song is crazy and I met
- 18:52with one of the biggest management companies in the
- 18:54world for YouTubers when I was in Boston two weeks ago in
- 18:57Massachusetts, and they helped me change my brand.
- 18:59Owing to this because I said look down, you know tell people
- 19:01how cool it can be. Why don't you make them
- 19:04empowered and so I'll leave you with this before we get to some
- 19:06questions and stuff like that. Let me leave you with something
- 19:08that I wrote down. Let's not focus on what we may
- 19:14not be able to do but instead why don't we celebrate encourage
- 19:17what we can do? Yeah, we spend most of our time
- 19:20worrying about how a child is going to go to school and face
- 19:23these issues but they never say wow.
- 19:25You're amazing. How amazing is this kid?
- 19:28I know parents found all the Amazing was fine.
- 19:29But I was trying to say is academically socially
- 19:32politically we need to make sure we take the time to say to those
- 19:37people who are finding challenges and what we see is
- 19:39daily life because we live in a neurotypical society to say.
- 19:42Hey, you just want mazing things that should be celebrated and
- 19:46that should be focused on more than the negative.
- 19:48Anyway, I'm gonna open up to some questions if anybody has
- 19:50any questions and I know my top is like super - - to do that
- 19:52pretty fast. We also did thank you ADHD.
- 19:55Anyway, anybody have any questions at all about anything?
- 19:58I will I think Neither. Am I Kitt if it was asking you
- 20:00questions I can write in the back on let me find it so I can
- 20:04write this is this microphone working so it is not like that.
- 20:08Okay. I'm going to run down here.
- 20:09I feel like I'm on a TV show for under this guy.
- 20:11Okay. Sorry phony second.
- 20:13Excuse me, we go in. Uh, no.
- 20:16Sorry. I thought I did so you guys are
- 20:18very similar. There you go.
- 20:23So I'm going to come close because I can't hear you.
- 20:33Nothing to doubt or Autism in. My eyes is a talented people.
- 20:41Yeah, absolutely good stuff. Yeah.
- 20:50So types to contend with definitely and say I can do
- 20:55this. Yes, if you disbelieve it.
- 20:57Absolutely. No stand by what I say.
- 20:59Yeah, and yes working full-time in retail.
- 21:03It suits you quite slowly is rewarding part of absolutely and
- 21:09where you get to learn about the world out there.
- 21:14Yeah, definitely again, it comes to a long way.
- 21:21With amazement change, but will a watching the time I've got a
- 21:25certain amount of uh, yeah, so just thank you ma'am.
- 21:35Oh every day. Thank you so much to thank you
- 21:36so much this guy refuel. I mean, I've got two questions
- 21:39on walking around like you got to buy some I don't know
- 21:44fashion, okay. Sure questions.
- 21:46Hello everybody. Yes.
- 22:00So awesome that's amazing for this case.
- 22:07Cool, we can like show all about me.
- 22:18Anybody else. No questions were anyways, no,
- 22:20it's fine. If anybody is out.
- 22:21There is a question. Sorry all this was near sorry.
- 22:23Also just want to say that I do have like handouts.
- 22:26I've got like some free little cards to give aways off anybody
- 22:28else come see me in a bit. What was it supposed to start in
- 22:31YouTube from Tunisia. I have a son called Benji
- 22:35Travis. He was a daily vlogger with his
- 22:37wife Judy and he and he's got millions of followers.
- 22:40Let's do this life issues. So many he said to me he's
- 22:43totally do YouTube and I didn't have anything that was good
- 22:45enough to put out when you're on YouTube gonna put a message out
- 22:47that is a good strong message that you're helping people and
- 22:49you're genuine people see through rubbish.
- 22:52If you're not who you are, you will get caught out and be
- 22:54dumped by the internet. So I wanted to be genuine with
- 22:57whatever I didn't want do some just for the heck of it and so
- 22:59on. When I was saying I was
- 23:00searching Google and stuff or Asperger's Syndrome.
- 23:02I can't find anything that was tangibly good.
- 23:04You know, it's a terrible devastating.
- 23:05So I was like, that's what drove me to do it.
- 23:07And actually I put my first we don't line I left it for like
- 23:09five or six months. I don't do anything that went
- 23:11back to it has like thousands of views and also asking for more
- 23:13of like so I was like, oh and I had to like do more and it was
- 23:16kind of like it was accidental. I just got into it but it as my
- 23:19full-time job like but it wasn't at the start, you know, it was
- 23:22kind of definitely something that would just kind of just
- 23:24happened as I know it is but the inspiration was there because
- 23:26there was a huge gap in in in that there was no information
- 23:29there. And my friend said hey, why
- 23:31don't you do it? So I did it.
- 23:32So any more questions before we wrap it up.
- 23:35We're good over here. Okay, cool after like walk that
- 23:39close to everybody because I can't hear anybody cause I had
- 23:41something someone idiot. Oh, hi.
- 23:43Hi, it's okay. Just because wax off on can hear
- 23:46ya. All right, the currency we have
- 23:53the some conflict so that I should focus on his academic
- 23:56part because yeah sure a few years.
- 24:07So I would say that you can you can we can do you can do both
- 24:10definitely, you know, focus on academics is important to make
- 24:14sure you get the best grades possible.
- 24:15But at the same time any time that you aren't in Academia.
- 24:19It into something you're passionate about so I did and I
- 24:22did a degree was building a YouTube channel and it's exactly
- 24:24what I did. Sometimes I didn't sleep.
- 24:25Okay, it's different because I'm an idiot.
- 24:26So but you know, I I I wanted to if you have a passion for
- 24:30something you can always find time to do that because it will
- 24:33pay off in the end and the early start and apart from the better.
- 24:35It will be honest. Honestly, like anybody wants out
- 24:37Utah do it right now build it right now because like now is
- 24:41the best time to start is you vomit right now.
- 24:43Okay. Thank you.
- 24:45Thank you or I hope that answers the question cool.
- 24:48Yeah. Sure.
- 24:48I'll be I'll be I'll be Around I'm going to yeah, like I said,
- 24:50I've got it guys any more questions for it.
