- 0:07Speaker 2: Going to launch five four three.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Two one.
- 0:17Speaker 4: It's chris x radio chris x radio.
- 0:20Speaker 5: What we need right now is a clear message to
- 0:23Speaker 5: the people of this country. This message must be read
- 0:26Speaker 5: in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen on every television.
- 0:30Speaker 5: This message must resound throughout the entire interlink.
- 0:34Speaker 6: And now, your host.
- 0:35Speaker 7: I believe this is going to be our finest hour.
- 0:37Speaker 6: Chris X.
- 0:55Speaker 8: Boy, I do believe this will be our finest hour.
- 0:57Speaker 8: Did he say finest or funnest hour? I'm going to
- 1:03Speaker 8: have to go play that back and listen.
- 1:04Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:06Speaker 8: No, I think I know exactly what he said. Good
- 1:08Speaker 8: afternoon and welcome to Chris X Radio. I am the
- 1:11Speaker 8: aforementioned X-Man. We have assumed control of the airwaves and
- 1:14Speaker 8: we will maintain control of these airwaves for the next
- 1:18Speaker 8: two hours. as we come bearing a gift beyond price
- 1:23Speaker 8: that is almost free. Ladies and gentlemen, we bring you
- 1:26Speaker 8: the spirit of talk radio and got a lot to
- 1:28Speaker 8: get into as we always do, but especially here on
- 1:32Speaker 8: our Friday show on Thursday. That's right. It is our
- 1:34Speaker 8: Friday show on Thursday. We'd like to bring you this gift.
- 1:39Speaker 8: 24 hours ahead of everybody else.
- 1:42Speaker 9: That's right.
- 1:42Speaker 8: The Amigos take over tomorrow from 4 to 6 as
- 1:45Speaker 8: they do each and every Friday here on The Voice
- 1:48Speaker 8: of Texas. And we, of course, manipulate the time-space continuum
- 1:52Speaker 8: and bump up 24 hours ahead of everybody else. We
- 1:56Speaker 8: kick off our weekend starting now.
- 1:59Speaker 6: Why?
- 2:00Speaker 8: Because we can. And it's how we do things. So
- 2:04Speaker 8: we're going to have a little fun as we normally do.
- 2:06Speaker 8: We will also take your phone calls, which means we'll
- 2:08Speaker 8: talk about whatever is on your mind today. Today, I
- 2:11Speaker 8: won't police your phone calls. If you want to talk
- 2:13Speaker 8: about crazy stuff, I don't have any Chris X files
- 2:15Speaker 8: lined up. But if you want to talk about crazy things,
- 2:18Speaker 8: crazy stuff, whatever you want to talk about, you got
- 2:21Speaker 8: important things you want to get out, you haven't been
- 2:23Speaker 8: able to get out all week. Well, here's your opportunity
- 2:26Speaker 8: to do so in front of a large scale audience,
- 2:29Speaker 8: much larger than people realize. We got a lot of
- 2:32Speaker 8: people that listen to our show. Now, we can manipulate
- 2:35Speaker 8: small elections by just getting people to turn out to vote.
- 2:39Speaker 8: But we got a fair amount of people that are
- 2:41Speaker 8: listening here on The Voice of Texas that are listening
- 2:44Speaker 8: on our app. which is KSCV Radio. You can download
- 2:47Speaker 8: that app to your smartphone, or you can go to
- 2:49Speaker 8: our website, kscvradio.com, listen to the streaming there. We also
- 2:53Speaker 8: now have a huge presence on the interwebs as far
- 2:56Speaker 8: as video. We stream the video of the programs over
- 2:59Speaker 8: at Facebook, YouTube, Rumble, TwitterX, when it's behaving itself, which,
- 3:05Speaker 8: by the way, I don't know if it is. Let
- 3:07Speaker 8: me check with Luke Cash. Cash, are we up on
- 3:10Speaker 8: all the platforms? Yes, sir, we are up. Okay, all right.
- 3:13Speaker 8: Sometimes the platforms like to give him trouble, and I
- 3:17Speaker 8: hate when that happens. Oh, I hate when that happens.
- 3:20Speaker 8: But nonetheless, we are up and rolling, which means we
- 3:23Speaker 8: are on the Twitter webs. We are airware, as they
- 3:26Speaker 8: like to say. Airware. That's the technical term. So once again,
- 3:33Speaker 8: we'll hold down the fort here for the next couple
- 3:35Speaker 8: hours as we've assumed control of the broadcast, which means
- 3:38Speaker 8: we'll talk about whatever is on your mind today. It
- 3:41Speaker 8: is our Friday show on Thursday. 281-558-KSEV.
- 3:48Speaker 10: 281-558-5738.
- 3:48Speaker 8: The Amigos, once again, they take over tomorrow. That is
- 3:51Speaker 8: the Senator, El Senador, Paul Betancourt. Man, a guy... I
- 3:58Speaker 8: look back and I think, my God. How different would
- 4:01Speaker 8: things be if we didn't have someone like him fighting
- 4:04Speaker 8: on our side trying to save us money on a
- 4:06Speaker 8: regular basis via our tax dollars compared to, like, Harris
- 4:10Speaker 8: County Commissioner's Court, who is constantly trying to offset it?
- 4:15Speaker 8: Drives me up the wall. Oh, man, does it drive
- 4:18Speaker 8: me up the wall. But nonetheless, we do have El Senador.
- 4:22Speaker 8: He's the ringleader of the Amigos, along with the judge,
- 4:25Speaker 8: the squirrely judge, as we like to call him. He's
- 4:28Speaker 8: a little squirrely, okay? He's a nice guy. He's a
- 4:31Speaker 8: really nice guy, but he's a little crazy, okay? He's
- 4:35Speaker 8: like 80-some-odd years old, 90 years old, I don't know,
- 4:39Speaker 8: maybe 100. He's got more ex-wives than you can count
- 4:42Speaker 8: on either hand. And he's on the lookout for his
- 4:46Speaker 8: next ex-wife. He's been looking at Lena Hidalgo because she
- 4:50Speaker 8: broke up with her husband literally one day, one year
- 4:55Speaker 8: to the day that she got married. Yeah, I saw
- 4:58Speaker 8: a video of her trying to convince everyone she's a
- 5:01Speaker 8: fiscal conservative, which no one bought it. Everyone's like... Lena,
- 5:06Speaker 8: did you miss your therapy session this week? So he's
- 5:09Speaker 8: trying to get either her or now we've learned that
- 5:11Speaker 8: AOC may be single as well, which I know Captain
- 5:14Speaker 8: Jack is going to be really upset if she goes
- 5:17Speaker 8: with an old dude. I would say an old white dude,
- 5:19Speaker 8: but the judge is very tan. So he's not as white,
- 5:23Speaker 8: even though he is an old white dude. He's white.
- 5:26Speaker 8: We live in a new world where the Democrats have
- 5:28Speaker 8: relabeled the Jews are white people now. If you go
- 5:31Speaker 8: back to the old school days, they said the Jews
- 5:33Speaker 8: were really, they didn't consider them white. But now they're
- 5:36Speaker 8: considered white just in order to be oppressed from either side,
- 5:40Speaker 8: I guess. So I do believe the judge is Jewish.
- 5:43Speaker 8: I think he is. Nonetheless, and then, of course, batting
- 5:47Speaker 8: cleanup is a strew of the view, also known as
- 5:50Speaker 8: the soul man, known as, if you watch the video,
- 5:53Speaker 8: the smart one. He shows up with his bat. I
- 5:57Speaker 8: need to go find him, that Lucille bat from Walking Dead,
- 6:00Speaker 8: and get him that so he can have that. Because
- 6:04Speaker 8: he proverbially bats clean up and he swings that big
- 6:11Speaker 8: stick Lucille upside the judge of the head. Figuratively, he's
- 6:14Speaker 8: not actually hitting him in the head with a bat.
- 6:17Speaker 8: But trying to knock some logic into him. He's failed
- 6:19Speaker 8: miserably for over 20 years. Can't really do it. But nonetheless,
- 6:23Speaker 8: it doesn't stop. So we get that on a regular basis.
- 6:28Speaker 8: You know what, Cash O'Lean? I want you to look
- 6:30Speaker 8: that up online right now. Now that you have anything
- 6:32Speaker 8: better to do. Look that up and see how much
- 6:34Speaker 8: it costs to go get a Lucille bat. A bat with, like,
- 6:39Speaker 8: it's got, you know, barbed wire on it. See that?
- 6:41Speaker 8: I may get one for a Strew with a view.
- 6:47Speaker 8: He needs one, especially now that it's on video. So
- 6:49Speaker 8: he needs to hold his bat, and then he can
- 6:52Speaker 8: beat the desk, which is hilarious on video because they
- 6:54Speaker 8: can't play the music, I guess. I still don't get this.
- 6:59Speaker 8: I don't understand how this rule works, but you're not
- 7:01Speaker 8: supposed to play the music and you keep banging on
- 7:03Speaker 8: the desk. So that way they bang it on the
- 7:04Speaker 8: desk during the video. And so then it's just them
- 7:09Speaker 8: banging on the desk during a song that you can't hear,
- 7:12Speaker 8: which is exceptionally hilarious to me because I have the
- 7:15Speaker 8: same thing. I come in and out of every segment
- 7:17Speaker 8: talking about a band. And if you're watching on video
- 7:20Speaker 8: that you can't hear them, but you can see the
- 7:22Speaker 8: video and you can hear the important stuff. Anyway, so
- 7:25Speaker 8: the Amigos will be taking over tomorrow. All right, so
- 7:27Speaker 8: we always have a little fun today. We've got a lot.
- 7:28Speaker 8: President Trump is coming to— he' s going to Texas, okay? He's
- 7:32Speaker 8: coming to.
- 7:33Speaker 6: Texas, but— It's Friday, Friday.
- 7:35Speaker 8: Oh, we've got to do this first.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Everybody's looking forward to the weekend, weekend.
- 7:41Speaker 6: Friday, Friday. Getting down on Friday.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Everybody's looking forward to the weekend.
- 7:50Speaker 11: Party and party and yeah.
- 7:53Speaker 8: This is what Lukasz does every weekend. He parties and parties.
- 7:57Speaker 8: And then I go kick it with Leo Morciolo. There
- 8:02Speaker 8: we go.
- 8:02Speaker 2: There's my part of the song.
- 8:24Speaker 8: Oh, yeah. It's funny because we're not supposed to be
- 8:26Speaker 8: playing the music, but.
- 8:29Speaker 8: Leo Morciola literally makes his living off playing other people's
- 8:32Speaker 8: music on YouTube. It's Frog League Studios, if you don't
- 8:36Speaker 8: know it. And he does his version of their songs,
- 8:40Speaker 8: which this is one of them. And this is just
- 8:43Speaker 8: so much better than the original, even though it's hard
- 8:45Speaker 8: to top perfection. Oh, yeah. I like this part. You
- 8:56Speaker 8: know what he should do? He should do a collaboration
- 8:58Speaker 8: with Nene Royal. I believe she's about to win. I
- 9:02Speaker 8: guess it's next month they do the finals on America's
- 9:05Speaker 8: Got Talent. A show that I don't watch, but because
- 9:08Speaker 8: of the interwebs, because of the entire interlink, I'm able
- 9:13Speaker 8: to watch her clips and watch her rock the house.
- 9:15Speaker 8: And she is just, she's a dynamo, man. She's a
- 9:18Speaker 8: rock star. And she's as good as Leo Morciolo is
- 9:23Speaker 8: on the guitar. So anyway, but for some reason, Lukash,
- 9:27Speaker 8: what is it? We get like banned in Russia for
- 9:29Speaker 8: that one somewhere, like in Siberia?
- 9:31Speaker 13: That's what always comes up on YouTube.
- 9:33Speaker 8: Oh, so on YouTube, they ban us in Siberia. So
- 9:36Speaker 8: I apologize to all of you in a Siberian labor
- 9:39Speaker 8: camp in Russia. You can't get to hear that. It's
- 9:42Speaker 8: a bummer. Apparently the rest of the world is cool
- 9:46Speaker 8: with it. I don't get it. Anyway, so we got
- 9:50Speaker 8: a good weekend kicked off. By the way, kicking off
- 9:53Speaker 8: the weekend early. President Trump has signed an executive order
- 9:57Speaker 8: in the Oval Office renaming Lake Ontario a to lake
- 10:00Speaker 8: america okay effective immediately it's lake america okay so now
- 10:06Speaker 8: along with the gulf of america we have an old
- 10:09Speaker 8: slash new lake america That's right, Lake America. If you
- 10:14Speaker 8: think about it, we have a gulf, we have a lake.
- 10:16Speaker 8: All we need now is an ocean. Trump, of course,
- 10:19Speaker 8: was speaking to the media during the signing.
- 10:21Speaker 7: We're going to be changing the name of Lake Ontario,
- 10:26Speaker 7: effective immediately, to Lake America. We lose, on average, over
- 10:31Speaker 7: the last 15 years, $ 60 billion a year carrying Canada.
- 10:35Speaker 7: So we just can't do it anymore. We love the
- 10:37Speaker 7: people of Canada. I don't think their representatives do it.
- 10:41Speaker 7: an appropriate job. Maybe they'll change. I really don't know.
- 10:44Speaker 7: It doesn't make much difference. But we can't let the
- 10:47Speaker 7: whole Canadian thing that's been going on for decades, and
- 10:51Speaker 7: it has to come to a stop. So we're going
- 10:54Speaker 7: to be doing tariffs on their cars that are coming
- 10:56Speaker 7: in at a substantial level.
- 10:58Speaker 14: Tariffs?
- 10:58Speaker 7: Because we want to make the cars here. We don't
- 11:01Speaker 7: want– you know, they can make their own cars if
- 11:03Speaker 7: they want, and they can continue to make their cars
- 11:05Speaker 7: for Canada. But we don't want to make– we don't
- 11:08Speaker 7: want them to make cars for the United States of America.
- 11:12Speaker 8: It's very simple.
- 11:13Speaker 7: Likewise, many other products. So the lake change, Lake of America,
- 11:17Speaker 7: was something I've been thinking about for a long time, actually.
- 11:21Speaker 7: As you know, we took something called the Gulf of Mexico,
- 11:26Speaker 7: we changed it, and now it's very routinely the Gulf
- 11:30Speaker 7: of America. So if you think about it, we have
- 11:33Speaker 7: a Gulf and we have a lake. Now all we
- 11:36Speaker 7: need is an ocean. So maybe we'll have to change
- 11:38Speaker 7: the name of the Atlantic and or the Pacific.
- 11:41Speaker 8: Maybe we'll change them both. Maybe we'll change them both.
- 11:44Speaker 8: We have Western American Ocean and then the Eastern American Ocean.
- 11:49Speaker 8: And then we're going to change everything. This is going
- 11:50Speaker 8: to be planet America, okay? And then we're going to
- 11:53Speaker 8: go to outer space America, the moon. We are now
- 11:56Speaker 8: labeling the moon America space, space America, okay? We're going
- 12:01Speaker 8: to go to the moon. We're going to take control
- 12:02Speaker 8: of the moon. And then eventually it will be even
- 12:05Speaker 8: further deep space America Mars, okay? And then we'll do
- 12:09Speaker 8: this to all the planets. We will conquer the intergalactic system.
- 12:14Speaker 8: And then Colonel, what was it?
- 12:16Speaker 5: No.
- 12:16Speaker 8: Captain Picard will show up at the United Federation of Planets,
- 12:20Speaker 8: and they will all answer to, that's right, space America. Okay?
- 12:27Speaker 8: Trump is just the ultimate troll. He's just hammering them,
- 12:31Speaker 8: and rightfully so. Why do we have to bend over
- 12:36Speaker 8: and cower to lesser countries, which is what the left
- 12:39Speaker 8: has done in previous presidents for decades? We're going to
- 12:43Speaker 8: be nice to everybody here. We're going to be nice.
- 12:46Speaker 8: We're going to be nice. Trump understands how to wield leverage.
- 12:53Speaker 8: Does it all go perfectly? There's no such thing as perfect.
- 12:56Speaker 8: Why this narrative? We're going to hold Trump to a
- 12:58Speaker 8: perfect standard that we won't hold anyone else to, or
- 13:01Speaker 8: we're going to hold our own side to perfection. That's
- 13:04Speaker 8: a bad strategy. The Democrats will win that every single
- 13:07Speaker 8: time because they hold themselves to no standards whatsoever. They
- 13:11Speaker 8: hold themselves to double standards while absolutely eviscerating their Republican
- 13:16Speaker 8: opponents for not being perfect because they know sap Republicans.
- 13:21Speaker 8: That's right. You saps out there will fall into that,
- 13:23Speaker 8: buy into that garbage argument and go, well, I'm not
- 13:25Speaker 8: going to vote for my guy either because he's not perfect.
- 13:28Speaker 8: So you're going to let the worst person in the
- 13:30Speaker 8: world take over?
- 13:31Speaker 11: Huh?
- 13:34Speaker 2: I don't.
- 13:35Speaker 8: It's so weird. Anyhow, so Trump did that. And then
- 13:41Speaker 8: from what I'm told, he's going to be here within
- 13:42Speaker 8: the next hour or two here in Houston. He's coming
- 13:45Speaker 8: to a private fundraiser tonight here ahead of the midterms.
- 13:50Speaker 8: He's expected to remain in town to honor the crew
- 13:52Speaker 8: of Artemis II tomorrow over at NASA, according to CBS News.
- 13:57Speaker 8: The fundraiser event comes as Republicans work to hold on
- 14:00Speaker 8: to their majorities and as Texas' U.S. Senate race between
- 14:04Speaker 8: Ken Paxton and James Tallarico has become increasingly competitive. We're
- 14:09Speaker 8: seeing all these polls, and now we're starting to find
- 14:11Speaker 8: out the majority of these polls that we're seeing that
- 14:14Speaker 8: have Tallarico leading are being conducted by former Democrat strategists,
- 14:18Speaker 8: former campaign strategists. That's who's doing these polls. Not that
- 14:23Speaker 8: I'm saying that it's not within the margin of error,
- 14:26Speaker 8: but it's funny that they all happen to have Tallarico leading.
- 14:30Speaker 8: The president's last fundraising visit to Houston... was two years ago,
- 14:35Speaker 8: a couple years ago. The exact location of tonight's event
- 14:38Speaker 8: has not been announced publicly, but the president did talk
- 14:42Speaker 8: about it in the Oval Office earlier today. Let's take
- 14:44Speaker 8: a listen.
- 14:45Speaker 7: So I'll be going to Texas, and we're working very hard.
- 14:49Speaker 7: We want to win that race. He's running against a
- 14:51Speaker 7: man who should never be. We have a very good candidate,
- 14:54Speaker 7: Ken Paxton, and he's running against Telefrico, they call him,
- 15:00Speaker 7: because he is.
- 15:01Speaker 8: A little freaky.
- 15:02Speaker 7: And that's not a man that represents the value of Texas.
- 15:05Speaker 7: So I'm going to help Ken Paxton, and I'm going
- 15:09Speaker 7: to spend a lot of time in Texas. I have
- 15:11Speaker 7: the all-time highest vote in the history of Texas also.
- 15:14Speaker 7: And I'm going to spend some time there. We'll be
- 15:16Speaker 7: going tonight. Some of you are going with me. Thank
- 15:19Speaker 7: you very much, everybody.
- 15:20Speaker 8: Thank you very much, everybody. Have a good time, everybody.
- 15:23Speaker 8: We're not going to elect James Talafrico in Texas. He's
- 15:27Speaker 8: a little bit freaky. No, he's a lot bit freaky.
- 15:31Speaker 8: In fact... He's extremely freaky. I've got to play this
- 15:34Speaker 8: ad before we go.
- 15:35Speaker 11: The Democrats have a weird, a weird chat today.
- 15:39Speaker 6: God is non-binary.
- 15:42Speaker 4: There are many more than two biological sexes.
- 15:45Speaker 6: In fact, there are six.
- 15:47Speaker 15: It is now existential that We try to reduce our
- 15:50Speaker 15: meat consumption.
- 15:51Speaker 6: The American flag.
- 15:52Speaker 8: Is such a complicated symbol for most of us.
- 15:54Speaker 16: Prophetic voices like Jesus have helped me reckon with my
- 15:57Speaker 16: own whiteness, my own masculinity.
- 15:59Speaker 15: Our southern border should be like our front porch.
- 16:02Speaker 8: There should be a giant.
- 16:04Speaker 6: Welcome mat out front.
- 16:05Speaker 15: No need to sit and cry over, you know, your
- 16:08Speaker 15: whiteness or your masculinity.
- 16:10Speaker 6: They're going to call me a radical leftist.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Something that you love that's not family or friends.
- 16:16Speaker 15: I love, and I'm just saying this because it's on
- 16:19Speaker 15: my mind, the trans children.
- 16:22Speaker 11: The Democrats have a weird, a weird candidate.
- 16:26Speaker 17: Low-T Tallarico, two weeks in Texas.
- 16:31Speaker 8: You know what's weird? I know we're now having an
- 16:32Speaker 8: impact because on the social medias where we post the videos,
- 16:36Speaker 8: somebody posted on one of my videos yesterday, the day before, said,
- 16:39Speaker 8: you're in a cult. They're going to vote for that guy?
- 16:43Speaker 8: The guy who's literally done a 180 on all of
- 16:46Speaker 8: the issues in the beginning of that ad. Now he's
- 16:51Speaker 8: back to there are two sexes, and he's against transing
- 16:54Speaker 8: children now. He may still be ashamed of his whiteness
- 17:01Speaker 8: and has to go to Jesus to reckon with his whiteness.
- 17:03Speaker 8: I don't know. But he's just, the guy is a complete, oh,
- 17:07Speaker 8: that's right, the existential threat, the beef. That's right, he
- 17:11Speaker 8: ran a vegan campaign because beef is an existential threat
- 17:15Speaker 8: to our climate. And then now it's powered by Texas barbecue.
- 17:19Speaker 8: The guy is literally a walking 180. But I'm in
- 17:22Speaker 8: a cult. I'm in the cult, folks. That's why I
- 17:26Speaker 8: call them the Democrat cult, being propped up by their
- 17:31Speaker 8: Democrat cult partners over in the lamestream media. All right,
- 17:34Speaker 8: it is our Friday show on Thursday. Let's take a break. 281-558-KSEV.
- 17:40Speaker 8: 281-558-5738 I got an email from run on Robert about
- 17:46Speaker 8: an hour long to read and then at the end
- 17:49Speaker 8: he said he doesn't have any material he can't call
- 17:51Speaker 8: in what I hope he's listening I hope run on
- 17:57Speaker 8: Robert is listening because if he doesn't call in then
- 18:00Speaker 8: I may have to just reach out to our international
- 18:05Speaker 8: spokesperson Phenom John Miller, he may call in today. You
- 18:09Speaker 8: never know. All right, 281-558-KSEV. It is our Friday show
- 18:13Speaker 8: on Thursday. What is on your mind? 281-558-5738. We'll be
- 18:18Speaker 8: right back. Don't you go anywhere.
- 18:25Speaker 17: Chris X Radio.
- 18:28Speaker 6: Hi, this is Lewis Flory.
- 18:29Speaker 18: You've been relying on AbilityTree experts for decades to protect
- 18:32Speaker 18: and maintain the valuable trees on your property. You can
- 18:35Speaker 18: continue to rely on the same professional services. So call
- 18:38Speaker 18: AbilityTree experts at 281-441-4179 today.
- 18:43Speaker 6: Hello, friends.
- 18:45Speaker 17: Let's be honest.
- 18:46Speaker 19: Every business says they're better, but the ones that earn
- 18:50Speaker 19: the prestigious BBB seal back it up. That's why it's
- 18:53Speaker 19: the sign of a better business. And it instantly identifies
- 18:57Speaker 19: reputable businesses you can trust. So look for the BBB
- 19:01Speaker 19: seal because it's looking out for you. It's the sign
- 19:04Speaker 19: of a better business. And find a better business anytime
- 19:07Speaker 19: at BBB.org.
- 19:08Speaker 6: That's BBB.org.
- 19:13Speaker 20: Do you need money? Want to lower your monthly debt?
- 19:15Speaker 20: Are you thinking about a cash-out refinance? Hi, it's Kathy
- 19:19Speaker 20: from Baker Mortgage. A cash-out refinance can get you back
- 19:23Speaker 20: in your comfort zone, and that's what it's all about.
- 19:25Speaker 20: A recent client who closed with us had his payment
- 19:28Speaker 20: go up about $ 300, but his monthly outgo was being
- 19:32Speaker 20: reduced by $ 1, 200, so giving him a net positive cash
- 19:36Speaker 20: flow of $ 900. It's not about adding debt, but restructuring
- 19:41Speaker 20: it in a way that makes sense. And this math
- 19:43Speaker 20: totally makes sense. And please don't sweat it if your
- 19:46Speaker 20: interest rate is going up a little or if you're
- 19:48Speaker 20: extending the term. I can show you by taking a
- 19:51Speaker 20: small amount of what you're saving monthly and applying it
- 19:54Speaker 20: towards your mortgage, you're going to pay it off just
- 19:57Speaker 20: as quickly and you'll be way ahead in the money game,
- 20:00Speaker 20: which is where we all want to be, right? Remember,
- 20:02Speaker 20: we want to help you But we're not going to
- 20:04Speaker 20: help you over a cliff. Baker Mortgage, 281-313-MOVE or go
- 20:09Speaker 20: directly to bakermortgage.com.

- 20:39Speaker 22: in each and every member of their team hard work

- 20:42Speaker 8: And believe me, it's paid off.
- 20:44Speaker 22: They truly know the Houston market and what it takes

- 21:36Speaker 4: of common sense.
- 21:37Speaker 6: Chris X Radio.
- 21:55Speaker 8: Luke, do you like being in a cult? Did you
- 22:00Speaker 8: even know you were in a cult now? Yeah, the
- 22:02Speaker 8: ropes are very comfy. Welcome back to Chris X Radio.
- 22:10Speaker 8: It is our Friday show on Thursday, which means we're
- 22:13Speaker 8: going to have a little fun today on the program.
- 22:15Speaker 19: Why?
- 22:15Speaker 8: Because that's what we do. We like to have fun.
- 22:18Speaker 8: We can do it. You can do it. Oh, yeah,
- 22:23Speaker 8: we like to have a little fun here on our
- 22:24Speaker 8: Friday show. We'll also talk about whatever is on your
- 22:26Speaker 8: mind today. 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. It's been a little while since
- 22:33Speaker 8: we heard about Goblin Demon, so I think maybe we
- 22:35Speaker 8: ought to.
- 22:35Speaker 24: Oh, this is a societal wrecking ball to destroy any
- 22:38Speaker 24: semblance of normality, any semblance of basic human.
- 22:42Speaker 8: Biology that you see in the bees.
- 22:45Speaker 24: And you see in the birds, the birds and the bees.
- 22:49Speaker 24: Imagine if somebody in a demon outfit showed up next
- 22:51Speaker 24: to a baby giraffe and said.
- 22:53Speaker 6: Hi, I'm a demon.
- 22:54Speaker 8: I'm a demon. Be inclusive.
- 22:56Speaker 6: Don't be mean to me.
- 22:57Speaker 24: Let me wear demon horns and look like a complete alien.
- 23:00Speaker 6: From another planet. And by the way, this is a program.
- 23:03Speaker 24: They dress up like space aliens all over the United
- 23:06Speaker 24: States and all over the world.
- 23:07Speaker 6: I told you.
- 23:08Speaker 24: In horrible demon psychopath outfits that make Pennywise look beautiful.
- 23:13Speaker 24: And they show up and they have their way around.
- 23:17Speaker 24: with your children in demon outfits. I mean, if you've
- 23:21Speaker 24: got men that look like 400-pound goblin demons, with your children,
- 23:27Speaker 24: there's nothing you all.
- 23:28Speaker 20: Put up with.
- 23:30Speaker 6: There isn't a species on the planet that.
- 23:32Speaker 24: Would let something that looks like a space alien get
- 23:35Speaker 24: up close to its kids. But only in America does
- 23:37Speaker 24: it happen, and I'm sick of it.
- 23:39Speaker 11: I'm tired of it right now.
- 23:40Speaker 10: I can't handle it more now.
- 23:43Speaker 8: I love the fact that at the end of that,
- 23:45Speaker 8: that noise he makes is actually him. I didn't add that.
- 23:48Speaker 8: I added the music and did that and the other
- 23:50Speaker 8: stuff with the goblin demons, but no, I didn't add
- 23:53Speaker 8: that weird noise. He did at the end of the,
- 23:57Speaker 8: that was him going crazy, which by the way, he's
- 24:00Speaker 8: been known to do at least a time or two. Oh,
- 24:06Speaker 8: I love Alex Jones for all the wrong reasons. I really,
- 24:10Speaker 8: like I said, I mean, there's always the original, which
- 24:13Speaker 8: I haven't, I need to start making a point to
- 24:15Speaker 8: play these again because these were an existential part of
- 24:18Speaker 8: my program early on. But we need to remember the original,
- 24:22Speaker 8: which inspired me to do some of my own.
- 24:23Speaker 24: I don't like them putting chemicals in the water that
- 24:25Speaker 24: turn the friggin' frogs gay.
- 24:27Speaker 8: Do you understand that? Turn the friggin' frogs gay.
- 24:30Speaker 6: Boom, boom, serious crap gay. Frogs, friggin' frogs, boom. It's
- 24:34Speaker 6: not funny.
- 24:35Speaker 8: It's kind of funny.
- 24:36Speaker 6: I'm going to say it real slow for you.
- 24:41Speaker 25: Frog legs are pretty good.
- 24:42Speaker 8: I've had frog legs. Cash, have you ever had frog legs?
- 24:47Speaker 8: I have not. If you answered, I couldn't hear you.
- 24:49Speaker 8: I'm too busy jamming out. Against frogs?
- 24:54Speaker 6: Gay frogs?
- 24:56Speaker 26: I actually like frogs.
- 25:03Speaker 6: Frogs don't crack.
- 25:12Speaker 11: Why do we have to fight the gay frogs?
- 25:15Speaker 6: It's kind of funny.
- 25:21Speaker 8: I wonder, you think, Lucas, you think we'll get banned
- 25:23Speaker 8: in Russia for that one too? I don't know how
- 25:25Speaker 8: they feel about frogs. I don't know how Russia feels
- 25:29Speaker 8: about frogs either. I really don't know. But if we
- 25:33Speaker 8: were going to get banned for frogs, especially gay frogs...
- 25:38Speaker 8: That created a monster. From that, we got Alex Jones
- 25:41Speaker 8: eating his neighbors, and then there's just so many good.
- 25:44Speaker 8: Of course, the Goblin Demons. You guys remember the Hilldog Dance-Off.
- 25:49Speaker 8: That was one of my favorites. I do believe her
- 25:52Speaker 8: political career is done. I don't think she's going to
- 25:53Speaker 8: be running anymore, but if we can just go ahead
- 25:57Speaker 8: and relinquish Kamala Harris to the annals of history, that
- 26:02Speaker 8: would be good, because I think Willie... Willie Johnson? I
- 26:12Speaker 8: can't remember his name. Willie... It wasn't Willie Ames. It
- 26:17Speaker 8: was Willie... Right now, everybody's screaming at the radio. It's
- 26:20Speaker 8: Willie blah, blah, blah! That's launched her political career. She
- 26:24Speaker 8: had an affair and was running around with him. Then
- 26:27Speaker 8: she dated... At one point, she dated.
- 26:31Speaker 6: Oh, God.
- 26:33Speaker 8: Lou Gossett Jr.? No, it's Montel Williams. Why do I
- 26:37Speaker 8: confuse those two? I don't know. They're similar, but she
- 26:40Speaker 8: dated Montel Williams and he was talking about her boy.
- 26:42Speaker 8: She Willie Brown, Willie Brown. That's it. Thank you. I'm
- 26:49Speaker 8: just going to have Lucas look up all of the
- 26:51Speaker 8: names of the people that I can't remember anymore because
- 26:54Speaker 8: it's gotten so ridiculous. So Willie Brown, that's right. She
- 26:58Speaker 8: had an affair with Willie Brown. And then, of course,
- 27:02Speaker 8: he projected her into her current trajectory that led her
- 27:06Speaker 8: all the way to the White House or at least
- 27:08Speaker 8: the vice president's house. And then they spent over a
- 27:13Speaker 8: one and a half billion dollars in like two months
- 27:16Speaker 8: last time trying to prop her up to make her
- 27:18Speaker 8: president and failed miserably. And now she's talking about running again.
- 27:26Speaker 8: And what the funny thing was, as much as Democrats
- 27:29Speaker 8: hated Donald Trump, they still do. Why do they keep
- 27:33Speaker 8: throwing up these awful female candidates against him? First, it
- 27:37Speaker 8: was Hillary because you'd be in jail. And then it
- 27:41Speaker 8: was Kamala because you don't have a clue. Kamala is
- 27:46Speaker 8: the only woman, I think, on the planet that is
- 27:49Speaker 8: more unlikable than Hillary Clinton. And for some reason, they
- 27:53Speaker 8: thought it'd be a good idea to run them against Trump. Well,
- 27:56Speaker 8: I guess because they couldn't, they had to go with
- 27:57Speaker 8: her because, you know, she was the DEI pick by
- 28:00Speaker 8: Joe Biden. And we're like, why you say that? Because
- 28:04Speaker 8: he said he's going to pick a black woman. That's it.
- 28:07Speaker 8: That was his only qualifications. And clearly that was about
- 28:11Speaker 8: all she was qualified. She's only half qualified to be
- 28:14Speaker 8: black because the other half is, was she Indian? So
- 28:17Speaker 8: she's half black, half Indian or half Jamaican, half Indian.
- 28:23Speaker 8: Who was he? The attorney general of California. And then
- 28:27Speaker 8: ran for president, didn't get a single electoral vote, dropped out,
- 28:33Speaker 8: and then they picked her. I guess they wanted to
- 28:35Speaker 8: pick somebody so bad that just the people would buy
- 28:39Speaker 8: that somehow Joe Biden was the one, but. Anyway, they
- 28:43Speaker 8: might as well have picked a gay frog, which, by
- 28:45Speaker 8: the way, Pete Buttigieg, he may be back. We'll see
- 28:47Speaker 8: if he runs again. Let's go ahead and take a break.
- 28:50Speaker 8: It is our Friday show on Thursday. We'll talk about
- 28:52Speaker 8: whatever you guys want to talk about. Well, maybe. If
- 28:55Speaker 8: you don't call in, I'm going to talk about what
- 28:57Speaker 8: I want to talk about. I could talk about them
- 29:01Speaker 8: trying to go Dolly Parton into talking politics, and she
- 29:04Speaker 8: never bought it. They tried to get her to dog Trump.
- 29:06Speaker 8: She didn't buy into it. Nope, I'm an entertainer. And
- 29:10Speaker 8: I'm going to stay that way by not talking about people.
- 29:13Speaker 8: She was very smart, really smart lady, far smarter than
- 29:16Speaker 8: most people thought. But then you look at the empire
- 29:19Speaker 8: she built and the talent she had, and you realize, okay,
- 29:22Speaker 8: she was really smart. I love they said, do you
- 29:24Speaker 8: get offended by dumb blonde jokes? And her response was perfect.
- 29:28Speaker 8: She says, no, because I know I'm not dumb. And
- 29:30Speaker 8: I also know I'm not really a blonde, which makes
- 29:33Speaker 8: it shows her humor and her wit. All right, 281-558-KCB.
- 29:36Speaker 8: We'll be right back.
- 29:45Speaker 4: You're listening to Chris X Radio on The Voice of Texas.

- 32:59Speaker 4: And now, back to Chris X Radio.
- 33:01Speaker 8: Chris X Radio.
- 33:02Speaker 4: On the voice of Texas.
- 33:10Speaker 28: We follow the blitzing now.
- 33:17Speaker 8: Is it too early to do a ballroom blitz, Lukasz?
- 33:19Speaker 8: Is it too early for that? I mean, it is
- 33:21Speaker 8: our Friday show on Thursday.
- 33:22Speaker 4: I mean, I think in about five minutes it'll be proper.
- 33:26Speaker 5: Okay.
- 33:26Speaker 12: All right.
- 33:27Speaker 8: We'll give five minutes. We can do that. All right.
- 33:32Speaker 8: Welcome back to Chris X Radio. I'm the aforementioned X-Man.
- 33:36Speaker 8: We have assumed control of the airways. We're going to
- 33:37Speaker 8: maintain control of these airways for about another hour and
- 33:40Speaker 8: 20 minutes or so. And then we'll turn it over.
- 33:43Speaker 8: I think it's Joe Pags and... Then we'll be back
- 33:45Speaker 8: on Monday, God willing, because the Amigos take over tomorrow
- 33:49Speaker 8: from 4 to 6, which is why we do our
- 33:50Speaker 8: Friday show on Thursday. Today, which means we'll talk about
- 33:53Speaker 8: whatever is on your mind.
- 33:55Speaker 29: 281-558-KSCV.
- 33:55Speaker 14: 281-558-5738.
- 33:55Speaker 8: All right, so Democrats have handed Donald Trump one power
- 33:58Speaker 8: they have spent years fighting. After raging against a key
- 34:08Speaker 8: tool in President Trump's economic arsenal, Senate Democrats quietly greenlit
- 34:13Speaker 8: the authority before they left D.C. Democrats have bashed Trump's
- 34:17Speaker 8: use of tariffs since they were first floated back in
- 34:21Speaker 8: 2024 and have taken every chance to challenge and push
- 34:24Speaker 8: back against duties imposed on other countries throughout his second term.
- 34:29Speaker 8: But nearly the entire Senate Democrat caucus voted in favor
- 34:33Speaker 8: of giving Trump limited tariff authority in exchange for one
- 34:37Speaker 8: bone-crushing sanction, or, well, sanctions against Russia. Only nine Democrats and,
- 34:44Speaker 8: of course, Senator Rand Paul ultimately voted against the package.
- 34:48Speaker 8: So now, you know, Trump has introduced, what, 50 percent
- 34:50Speaker 8: tariffs against Canada and on roughly $ 20 billion worth of goods.
- 34:57Speaker 8: He has reignited the debate on the campaign trail, but
- 35:00Speaker 8: now they've given him the ability to throw up, what,
- 35:04Speaker 8: 500% Russian tariffs on imports, 100% tariffs on five other
- 35:09Speaker 8: countries buying Russian energy, like China, China, and India. Who
- 35:17Speaker 8: saw that coming? 281-558-KSEV.
- 35:19Speaker 2: 281-558-5738.
- 35:19Speaker 8: Let's go ahead and go to the phones once again.
- 35:25Speaker 8: It is our Friday show, so we'll talk about whatever
- 35:27Speaker 8: you guys want to talk about. 281-558-KSEV. Let's pick up
- 35:31Speaker 8: with Mike listening in Tomball. Mike, thanks for hanging on.
- 35:34Speaker 8: Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 35:36Speaker 25: Hey, Chris. Enjoy your show. You do a fantastic job.
- 35:39Speaker 25: Always enjoy it.
- 35:40Speaker 8: Well, thank you, Mike. I appreciate that.
- 35:43Speaker 25: I've got to go a little bit offline. Recently, The
- 35:46Speaker 25: administration has been promoting executive orders to try to emulate
- 35:51Speaker 25: the SAVE Act. And I support the SAVE Act. I
- 35:55Speaker 25: think it's crazy when you register to vote, you should
- 35:59Speaker 25: show proof of citizenship and proof of age. To say
- 36:02Speaker 25: you don't show proof of citizenship to register to vote
- 36:05Speaker 25: is nonsense on the other side. It's already against federal
- 36:10Speaker 25: law to vote in a federal election if you're not
- 36:13Speaker 25: a citizen. make people prove they're citizens when they go register.
- 36:17Speaker 25: That's not that complex. So I support those things like that.
- 36:22Speaker 25: But I think the administration is making a mistake by
- 36:26Speaker 25: trying to do the same thing with executive order. Now,
- 36:29Speaker 25: it's not quite the same thing, but they're similar. Create lists,
- 36:34Speaker 25: don't deliver paper ballots with the post office, etc. I
- 36:38Speaker 25: have no problem with that if it's done in code,
- 36:41Speaker 25: and I mean federal code. The president does not have
- 36:45Speaker 25: the authority to do that on his own. And I
- 36:47Speaker 25: go to the Constitution. The Constitution clearly states that the
- 36:51Speaker 25: states and the Congress have the power over elections, not
- 36:55Speaker 25: the president. If Congress votes that, those things, and they
- 37:00Speaker 25: say that, and the president signs it, I'm all for it.
- 37:04Speaker 25: But I don't believe the president should do it on
- 37:07Speaker 25: his own. I'm going to tell you why. is because
- 37:09Speaker 25: that's just a ripe recipe. If you elect a Democrat
- 37:13Speaker 25: next time or down the pike, they can use that
- 37:16Speaker 25: same type of executive order to maybe impose Obamacare on
- 37:21Speaker 25: us and say it's a law. And that's the risk
- 37:26Speaker 25: you have with that. I would rather he do it
- 37:29Speaker 25: in code, and when I mean federal code, federal law,
- 37:32Speaker 25: codify it, and then that's fine. But don't use executive
- 37:37Speaker 25: orders like that. That's the wrong way to use executive orders.
- 37:40Speaker 25: Obama started that back when he was president, Congress wouldn't that.
- 37:44Speaker 25: So he used the executive orders. Trump's doing the same thing,
- 37:48Speaker 25: different reverse of issues, but he's doing the same thing.
- 37:50Speaker 25: And that's a mistake because it'll come back to bite you.
- 37:54Speaker 25: And if you elect a Democrat president, that's just my
- 37:58Speaker 25: personal opinion.
- 37:59Speaker 8: Well, I don't, I won't say you're wrong because I
- 38:01Speaker 8: don't think you're wrong. I think you're right. And generally,
- 38:03Speaker 8: if you have a functional Congress, uh, a functional House
- 38:06Speaker 8: of Representatives, a functional Senate, then that is absolutely the
- 38:09Speaker 8: right approach. But what we've watched, and I know you've
- 38:12Speaker 8: seen this, so you know I'm not making up stories,
- 38:15Speaker 8: over the last 20, 30 years, we've watched the Democrats
- 38:18Speaker 8: use the executive authority, or whatever tool is in their— whatever
- 38:23Speaker 8: feather is in their quill, if you will. We'll take
- 38:26Speaker 8: Harris County as a great example. You live in Tomball,
- 38:29Speaker 8: which is located in Harris County. We saw the Democrats
- 38:31Speaker 8: take over in 2018 and then proceeded to strip the
- 38:35Speaker 8: duties of duly elected officials to conduct elections, and then
- 38:38Speaker 8: they brought in, quote-unquote, elections administrators who were hardcore, radical
- 38:43Speaker 8: leftist Democrats who who quote-unquote botched election after election after election. Now,
- 38:49Speaker 8: I say quote-unquote botched because in each of those elections,
- 38:52Speaker 8: the Democrats subsequently garnered more power and more strength by
- 38:57Speaker 8: working in more Democrats, whether they were duly elected or not,
- 39:00Speaker 8: doesn't matter. because they did that, and then they fired
- 39:03Speaker 8: that one elections administrator and then brought in another one.
- 39:05Speaker 8: And then in that election, well, the guy who was
- 39:08Speaker 8: supposed to provide paper for the precincts for some reason
- 39:11Speaker 8: had another full-time job and wasn't available on Election Day.
- 39:14Speaker 8: And then, of course, we saw Republican districts run out
- 39:17Speaker 8: of paper before noon on Election Day, which led to
- 39:20Speaker 8: more Democrats getting elected, more power, and then the state
- 39:23Speaker 8: level comes in and removes those elections administrators, turns it
- 39:27Speaker 8: back over to duly elected officials, to conduct elections. But
- 39:31Speaker 8: by that time, we have seen the Democrats get such
- 39:34Speaker 8: a stronger grip on Harris County. How else would you–
- 39:40Speaker 8: like I said, that's just a small microcosm of what
- 39:42Speaker 8: I'm getting to. Then we move this to the federal
- 39:45Speaker 8: elections where we don't have the SAVE Act. What happened
- 39:48Speaker 8: in 2020? We had multiple states, the swing states especially,
- 39:53Speaker 8: that counted all night long, counted votes they weren't supposed
- 39:55Speaker 8: to be counted. They violated state legislatures and counted hundreds
- 40:00Speaker 8: of thousands of votes only to turn over power to
- 40:03Speaker 8: the other party. by a very small margin of votes,
- 40:07Speaker 8: by 12,000 votes or 15 or 17,000 votes, after counting 250, 300, 400,000
- 40:14Speaker 8: illegal votes. Because why? Well, we didn't have a SAVE Act.
- 40:17Speaker 8: We didn't have that. They just violated state legislatures. We've
- 40:22Speaker 8: watched this over and over again. We've seen this. So
- 40:24Speaker 8: I understand the idea of wanting to go do executive
- 40:28Speaker 8: orders to try to offset this, but it always seems
- 40:30Speaker 8: to go the direction of what you're talking about is
- 40:33Speaker 8: the bad precedent said by this and someone's going to
- 40:36Speaker 8: abuse it. They're already abusing it. What do you say
- 40:39Speaker 8: to that, Mike?
- 40:40Speaker 25: Well, I say to this that you're right. Harris County
- 40:43Speaker 25: was in that boat, but it took an act of
- 40:46Speaker 25: the legislature proposed by Senator Vinton Court, if I remember right,
- 40:50Speaker 25: to remove that person. It had to be done by
- 40:52Speaker 25: a legislative body, not by the governor, Chris. That's the
- 40:56Speaker 25: way to do it. The governor didn't have the authority
- 41:00Speaker 25: to remove that person, but the legislature does because cities
- 41:04Speaker 25: are a subset of the state. And the Constitution is
- 41:09Speaker 25: just— I' m a constitutionalist, Chris. The Constitution is crystal clear on this.
- 41:14Speaker 25: States and the Congress, not the president. It's the power
- 41:19Speaker 25: Congress gives the president in the code to do things
- 41:22Speaker 25: like that, like the SAVE Act. They need to pass
- 41:25Speaker 25: the SAVE Act. They should have passed it months ago.
- 41:28Speaker 25: It's ridiculous.
- 41:29Speaker 8: But they can't get it passed.
- 41:31Speaker 25: They can't get it passed because it's a 60-vote filibuster. Now,
- 41:37Speaker 25: there's that stand-up filibuster that still would exist, but they
- 41:41Speaker 25: don't want to do away with that. I mean, they
- 41:43Speaker 25: don't want to do away with a 60 and go
- 41:45Speaker 25: back to that.
- 41:48Speaker 8: But, Mike, they couldn't even get 50. They tried to
- 41:49Speaker 8: pass it through reconciliation where you only need a simple majority.
- 41:53Speaker 8: They still couldn't get it passed.
- 41:55Speaker 25: They still couldn't get it passed. Absolutely right. But I'm
- 41:58Speaker 25: afraid the precedent set, Chris, and you're absolutely right, the
- 42:02Speaker 25: Democrats have always used that. Obama was the worst of it.
- 42:05Speaker 25: Used it all the time. Executive order. Trump has used
- 42:10Speaker 25: it on some things. It's okay. When he orders agencies
- 42:13Speaker 25: to do certain things. Okay, he has that legal authority
- 42:16Speaker 25: to tell an agency to do something. But some of
- 42:18Speaker 25: that stuff he's doing is borderline unconstitutional, in my opinion, okay,
- 42:24Speaker 25: based on how the Constitution reads. You know, Congress can
- 42:28Speaker 25: make those laws. The president has to sign them. We
- 42:32Speaker 25: have a majority in both houses. The House passed the
- 42:36Speaker 25: SAVE Act. The Senate didn't. That's the Senate's fault.
- 42:39Speaker 8: Yeah, the House passed it multiple times.
- 42:41Speaker 25: Multiple times. The Senate... I don't know. You know, they
- 42:44Speaker 25: have they have different sets of rules. They work differently.
- 42:47Speaker 25: They're constitutional. A lot of people forget what the Senate
- 42:51Speaker 25: is meant to slow down the House in many ways
- 42:53Speaker 25: to give it a thorough review. That was historical. But
- 42:57Speaker 25: I'm just afraid that some of this stuff were given
- 43:01Speaker 25: the power to the not just Trump, to the executive branch.
- 43:05Speaker 25: Let me put it that way, because it's not against him.
- 43:07Speaker 25: It's the executive branch powers. Okay, for example, that a
- 43:11Speaker 25: president is immune from prosecution from any official act. Now,
- 43:16Speaker 25: that's any president. Trump and future, the court rules.
- 43:20Speaker 8: Someone might inform the Democrats that on Trump, by the way.
- 43:24Speaker 25: They keep prosecuting him. Yeah, if the Democrats get the House,
- 43:29Speaker 25: they will impeach him. No question about it. Now, it
- 43:32Speaker 25: won't do any good. Yeah, they will. They will. If
- 43:37Speaker 25: they get the House, they will. any margin of 10
- 43:39Speaker 25: or 12 votes, they will impeach him. Now, the Senate
- 43:42Speaker 25: won't convict him. That's going to be a bogus thing.
- 43:44Speaker 25: It's more just, you know, a hyper thing.
- 43:48Speaker 8: Well, hold on. The way things sit right now, if
- 43:50Speaker 8: we can maintain the Senate, then they won't. But if
- 43:53Speaker 8: we see a drastic shift in the Senate... And Democrats
- 43:57Speaker 8: take over. You've got people like Talafrico getting elected here
- 43:59Speaker 8: in Texas and some of these other DSA candidates. That
- 44:02Speaker 8: completely changes the narrative. But thank you for the call, Mike.
- 44:07Speaker 8: You bring really good points. I understand people's hesitation, but
- 44:10Speaker 8: I also understand the dysfunction of our current system because
- 44:14Speaker 8: we keep saying the Republicans have control of the House
- 44:17Speaker 8: and the Senate. Well, that is a bit of a misnomer.
- 44:19Speaker 8: We have the majority, but doesn't necessarily mean we have
- 44:23Speaker 8: control because there's not a big enough margin. I mean,
- 44:26Speaker 8: it's virtually split 50-50, even though it's just a few
- 44:29Speaker 8: votes here. But then you take in Mitch McConnell and
- 44:32Speaker 8: then Lindsey Graham died and then Looks like, you know, Darlene,
- 44:34Speaker 8: you know, his sister is going to be taken over.
- 44:36Speaker 8: I think she's a yes vote for Trump on just
- 44:38Speaker 8: about everything. But that being said, we're watching what's happening.
- 44:43Speaker 8: We're watching the dysfunction of the Senate because they can't
- 44:47Speaker 8: even pass the SAVE Act. And you're right. The Trump
- 44:49Speaker 8: Trump got a big win for these mail in ballots.
- 44:52Speaker 8: But we saw what happened in 2020. We saw the
- 44:55Speaker 8: Democrats violate state legislatures. And then, you know, as I mentioned,
- 45:00Speaker 8: was it 2022, 2023? We had, you know, Senator Paul
- 45:02Speaker 8: Bettencourt went through and spearheaded legislation to get rid of
- 45:05Speaker 8: these these elections administrators that Democrats appointed. That's what they
- 45:10Speaker 8: did in Harris County. And once again, they said they're
- 45:14Speaker 8: going to do a better job. We need elections administrators.
- 45:17Speaker 8: So they appoint somebody that they themselves say botched elections,
- 45:20Speaker 8: but they didn't botch elections. That was just part of
- 45:24Speaker 8: their cheat. And the problem is we're dealing with a
- 45:26Speaker 8: band of weary criminals is what they are. These Democrats
- 45:31Speaker 8: that do not care about laws, do not care about
- 45:33Speaker 8: the Constitution. At one point you said the Constitution is
- 45:36Speaker 8: crystal clear. It's actually not. I would think what is
- 45:41Speaker 8: written down is crystal clear, but the way people interpret
- 45:44Speaker 8: it is very much left up to interpretation. Because that's
- 45:48Speaker 8: how they function. That's how they operate. That's what they do.
- 45:52Speaker 8: Every day, the Democrat Party spends time figuring out how
- 45:56Speaker 8: to manipulate the Constitution to how it best benefits them
- 46:00Speaker 8: in what? Their ultimate goal, their quest for eternal power.
- 46:07Speaker 8: Absolute power is all they're interested in. And it puts
- 46:10Speaker 8: us in a real tough spot because we've got a
- 46:11Speaker 8: portion now of Republicans, and I know that worries you, Mike,
- 46:14Speaker 8: that want to go the same route the Democrats did.
- 46:17Speaker 8: If the Democrats are doing it, we're going to do
- 46:18Speaker 8: it too. But then again, that makes us no better
- 46:21Speaker 8: than them. And it doesn't guarantee us power forever because,
- 46:25Speaker 8: as you pointed out, eventually things change. And then it
- 46:30Speaker 8: will be used against you. The Democrats are already doing it.
- 46:34Speaker 8: They're already using it. It's how do we do this?
- 46:36Speaker 8: How do you maintain your soul? How do you maintain
- 46:38Speaker 8: your principles while competing, once again, with a side that
- 46:42Speaker 8: only standards they hold are double standards? That's it. It's
- 46:47Speaker 8: a really good question. Thanks for the call, Mike. Good
- 46:49Speaker 8: to hear from you. Let's take a short break. We'll
- 46:51Speaker 8: come back and wrap up this first hour. Get you
- 46:53Speaker 8: loaded for hour number two. Like I said, we assume
- 46:56Speaker 8: control for two hours. Then we'll turn it back over
- 46:59Speaker 8: to the station at 6 p.m. But until then, it's
- 47:02Speaker 8: up to us. We've got control. If you want to
- 47:06Speaker 8: weigh in, you want to join us, 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. When
- 47:12Speaker 8: it comes to tariffs, everybody was all against the tariffs
- 47:16Speaker 8: until we saw, oh, my God, these are actually working.
- 47:18Speaker 8: These are good. These aren't as bad as everybody thought
- 47:21Speaker 8: it was going to be. They're saying it raised costs
- 47:24Speaker 8: on Americans, but it hasn't. The cost of things have
- 47:28Speaker 8: not really gone up because of the tariffs. They went
- 47:31Speaker 8: up because of what the Democrats were doing. All right,
- 47:34Speaker 8: we'll be right back to wrap up this first hour.
- 47:35Speaker 8: Don't go away.
- 47:43Speaker 4: Elections have consequences so does your radio dial don't touch

- 48:07Speaker 20: finish line what's figured in there for property taxes If
- 48:10Speaker 20: it didn't come up, you really don't know what you're

- 50:43Speaker 8: Chris X Radio. Chris X Radio. You know, if I'd
- 51:10Speaker 8: have known that this was going to be the end
- 51:12Speaker 8: of rock and roll, basically, playing like Alice in Jane's would,
- 51:16Speaker 8: it was a great song, or Soundgarden, I would have
- 51:20Speaker 8: known society was eventually just going to... The very same
- 51:23Speaker 8: people that brought us rap, which, by the way, sucks.
- 51:28Speaker 8: I know not all rap sucks, and there are people
- 51:29Speaker 8: that are into it, but even rap is done now.
- 51:31Speaker 8: It's already over. Those are the people that worked as
- 51:33Speaker 8: hard as they could to effectively kill off rock and roll.
- 51:36Speaker 8: Had I known that.
- 51:38Speaker 8: And I probably would have bought more CDs. Just saying. Anyway,
- 51:42Speaker 8: welcome back to Chris X Radio. You reached the final
- 51:44Speaker 8: segment of the first hour of the program. We've got
- 51:47Speaker 8: hour number two coming right back at you, which we
- 51:49Speaker 8: always do here Monday through Thursday. Then the Amigos take
- 51:52Speaker 8: over tomorrow from 4 to 6. So you got El
- 51:55Speaker 8: Senador along with the Judge and then a Strew with
- 51:58Speaker 8: a View, Bat and Cleanup. Like I said, we were
- 52:01Speaker 8: looking at that. Lukasz, did you find some prices on
- 52:03Speaker 8: a Lucille replica we could get the Strew with a
- 52:06Speaker 8: View to smack the Judge upside the head with?
- 52:09Speaker 26: Oh, I did.
- 52:10Speaker 29: Yeah, you can get a heap of Team U, but
- 52:12Speaker 29: I don't know what you're going to get.
- 52:13Speaker 15: And then somebody's wrapping their own bats on eBay for
- 52:17Speaker 15: like $ 80.
- 52:18Speaker 8: Oh, wow.
- 52:18Speaker 31: Okay.
- 52:21Speaker 8: I was thinking for like the low, low price of
- 52:23Speaker 8: owned a house. That's what I was thinking. So I'll
- 52:26Speaker 8: keep you looking. Keep you looking. I don't know. Did
- 52:32Speaker 8: anyone tell you? I forgot. This is a part of
- 52:35Speaker 8: since you came on board and now working here, that
- 52:37Speaker 8: you have to buy that bat for Street with a View.
- 52:40Speaker 8: Did anyone tell you that?
- 52:41Speaker 4: That is news to me.
- 52:44Speaker 8: New news for Luke Cash as we roll into our
- 52:47Speaker 8: number two. All right, well, we'll look to find... I've
- 52:51Speaker 8: got to find one. I want to get one. You
- 52:52Speaker 8: know what I need to do is go to one
- 52:54Speaker 8: of the... Now that we're getting close to Halloween again,
- 52:56Speaker 8: I feel like the Halloween stores, they probably have a costume.
- 52:58Speaker 8: It's a whole lot cheaper. I see the President watch
- 53:02Speaker 8: is on. They're starting to... They were just showing people
- 53:04Speaker 8: on TV waiting for the President over probably at Ellington?
- 53:11Speaker 21: Hooks?
- 53:11Speaker 31: Ellington?
- 53:11Speaker 8: Whatever. Which is now... I don't think it's Ellington anymore.
- 53:14Speaker 8: I don't know which... which Air 40 comes in at.
- 53:18Speaker 8: But I'm thinking it's going to be one of the
- 53:19Speaker 8: private ones or one where other people aren't there. Okay,
- 53:22Speaker 8: hour number two is up next. You're listening to Chris
- 53:24Speaker 8: X Radio. It is our Friday show on Thursday. If
- 53:27Speaker 8: you want to get in line, hour number two, 281-558-KSEV.
- 53:31Speaker 8: We'll be right back.
- 53:35Speaker 21: AM 700 KSEV, Tomball, Houston, and streaming online at ksevradio.com,
- 53:41Speaker 21: the voice of Texas.
- 53:45Speaker 32: News this hour from Town Hall. I'm Keith Peters in Washington.
- 53:50Speaker 32: The Justice Department has charged more than 80 people in
- 53:52Speaker 32: the takedown of a violent Puerto Rican gang. Attorney General
- 53:56Speaker 32: Todd Blanche announced the operation during a visit to the
- 53:59Speaker 32: island as part of the Trump administration's efforts to highlight
- 54:02Speaker 32: its push to tackle violent crime.
- 54:05Speaker 28: Last week, an indictment was filed and returned by a
- 54:07Speaker 28: grand jury charging 81 defendants for illicit activity starting in 2021.
- 54:15Speaker 28: These defendants are alleged drug traffickers of Los Baja Deo,
- 54:21Speaker 28: also known as LBD.
- 54:22Speaker 8: They were charged with the illegal.
- 54:25Speaker 28: Possession and distribution of mass quantities of cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl.
- 54:30Speaker 8: Heroin, and marijuana.
- 54:32Speaker 32: Jason Arday's memoirs are published just two weeks after his death.
- 54:36Speaker 33: Scholar Jason Arday has had his memoir published on Thursday,
- 54:40Speaker 33: weeks after he died whilst he faced plagiarism charges. The
- 54:44Speaker 33: book's release comes less than two weeks after 41-year-old Arday
- 54:48Speaker 33: was found dead at his apartment in London. His death
- 54:51Speaker 33: followed relentless media coverage about allegations that his academic work
- 54:56Speaker 33: was bolstered by plagiarism and that he exaggerated his athletic
- 55:01Speaker 33: and fundraising achievements. Arday's memoir, Great and Unfortunate Things... tells
- 55:06Speaker 33: the story of how a non-verbal autistic boy who grew
- 55:09Speaker 33: up to be the youngest black professor in Cambridge University's history.
- 55:13Speaker 33: I'm Karen Shamath.
- 55:14Speaker 32: Tropical storm Dolly has formed in the Atlantic Ocean far
- 55:18Speaker 32: from land. The National Hurricane Center in Miami says Thursday
- 55:22Speaker 32: the storm could bring heavy rain to portions of the
- 55:25Speaker 32: Caribbean in the coming days. The storm's name had no
- 55:29Speaker 32: connection to Dolly Parton's death. On Wall Street, the Dow
- 55:32Speaker 32: by 105 points, the NASDAQ rose 411, the S &
- 55:36Speaker 32: P advanced 55. More on these stories at townhall.com.
- 55:43Speaker 31: I'm not one to say I told you so, but
- 55:45Speaker 31: I switched to Pure Talk over a year ago, and
- 55:47Speaker 31: ever since, I've been telling people there's no better wireless
- 55:50Speaker 31: company out there. Well, a few months ago, a massive
- 55:53Speaker 31: survey was conducted. 123,000 people were asked to rate their
- 55:58Speaker 31: wireless carrier in four categories, coverage, support, data, and overall value.
- 56:04Speaker 31: While the results are in, guess which wireless company was
- 56:07Speaker 31: the only wireless company to get five stars in every category?
- 56:12Speaker 6: Yeah, Pure Talk. Five stars, every category.
- 56:16Speaker 31: To celebrate, Pure Talk is offering the first three months
- 56:18Speaker 31: of any plan for just $ 15 a month, including their
- 56:22Speaker 31: top-tier unlimited plan. No contract, no commitment, just a very
- 56:26Speaker 31: inexpensive way to test drive the only American wireless company
- 56:29Speaker 31: with five stars in every category. Just dial pound 250,
- 56:33Speaker 31: say micro, and Pure Talk's U.S. customer service will take
- 56:36Speaker 31: it from there. Again, pound 250, micro. And yes, I
- 56:42Speaker 31: told you so.
- 56:44Speaker 23: This hour of the Chris X Show is brought to
- 56:46Speaker 23: you by the John Doe Fan Club. In favor of God, family, country,
- 56:50Speaker 23: and sensible conservative solutions for Texas.
- 56:54Speaker 9: This True Sand commentary is brought to you by Ability
- 56:57Speaker 9: Tree Experts. Ability Tree Experts, Houston's leading tree care professionals.
- 57:01Speaker 9: Call 281-441-4179. From KSEV, here's political contributor Ben Strewsand.
- 57:10Speaker 26: To my fellow Republicans who supported John Cornett, and won't
- 57:14Speaker 26: vote for Ken Paxton. You're about to give control of
- 57:17Speaker 26: the U.S. Senate over to the socialists that now run
- 57:21Speaker 26: the Democrat Party. Their plan is to pack the Supreme Court,
- 57:24Speaker 26: give statehood to D.C. and Puerto Rico, so as to
- 57:27Speaker 26: add four new Democrats to the Senate and control the
- 57:31Speaker 26: Electoral College. Do you really want that on your conscience?
- 57:35Speaker 26: And don't think for a minute that somehow progressive socialist
- 57:39Speaker 26: turned moderate James Tallarico won't support the Bernese team. He
- 57:44Speaker 26: won't have a choice. Or another election for six years.
- 57:48Speaker 26: We all know what it's like to support crap candidates
- 57:51Speaker 26: when a Republican primary is over. We've held our nose
- 57:54Speaker 26: and voted Republican so many times that the smell doesn't
- 57:58Speaker 26: stink anymore.
- 57:59Speaker 8: It's your turn.
- 58:00Speaker 26: Whatever problems you have with Paxton, and he's got a few,
- 58:03Speaker 26: pale in comparison to the damage that will be done
- 58:07Speaker 26: if you allow a Democrat to win a Senate race
- 58:10Speaker 26: in Texas. Besides, he doesn't sport any swastikas, his relationships
- 58:16Speaker 26: with women were consensual, and he thinks Hamas is a
- 58:19Speaker 26: bunch of murderers. With Tallarico, you get men playing in
- 58:23Speaker 26: women's sports, the DEI agenda, unfettered illegal immigration, and handcuffs
- 58:29Speaker 26: on police, not criminals. So starting with John Cornyn's Senate buddies,
- 58:34Speaker 26: John Thune and Rick Scott, get over it before it's
- 58:37Speaker 26: too late. Spend the money. Saying I told you so
- 58:41Speaker 26: might make you feel better, but only briefly. Besides, we
- 58:45Speaker 26: wouldn't be in this position. If Cornyn had retired and
- 58:48Speaker 26: let a new generation take over, Texas Republicans read the
- 58:53Speaker 26: polling and knew he was done for. But you all
- 58:56Speaker 26: seem to think that you're indispensable. I'm Ben Strewsand, and
- 59:02Speaker 26: that's my view.
- 59:04Speaker 6: Ben Strewsand, only on AM700 KSEV.
- 59:11Speaker 22: Thank goodness our weather experts are providing us with hurricane
- 59:14Speaker 22: tracking charts and reminding us to be prepared for big storms.
- 59:18Speaker 22: But they overlook one very important thing, the damage and
- 59:20Speaker 22: destruction from broken limbs and uprooted trees. Call Lewis Flory
- 59:24Speaker 22: at Ability Tree Experts today. My friend for nearly 40 years.
- 59:28Speaker 22: At 281-441-4179 and let him explain how this problem can
- 59:33Speaker 22: be minimized with professional pruning. You see, when the tree
- 59:36Speaker 22: canopy is too thick and dense, the tree can be
- 59:38Speaker 22: completely blown over and tree limbs broken, causing terrible damage
- 59:42Speaker 22: to the tree and maybe your home. Where tree limbs break,
- 59:46Speaker 22: sap will ooze and that attracts harmful insects. So you
- 59:49Speaker 22: need to call Lewis Flory today at 281-441-4179. and have
- 59:55Speaker 22: his experts come out and professionally prune your trees to
- 59:59Speaker 22: withstand sudden storms that are so frequent this time of year.
- 1:00:02Speaker 22: Visit their website at AbilityTrees.com. That's 281-441-4179. Ability Tree Experts,
- 1:00:09Speaker 22: Houston's leading tree care professional.
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: King SEV, 700 AM. Launch Control, this is.
- 1:00:19Speaker 25: Houston.
- 1:00:20Speaker 19: We are going to launch.
- 1:00:23Speaker 25: Five, four, three, two, one.
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: It's Chris X Radio.
- 1:00:33Speaker 17: Chris X Radio.
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: What we need right now is a clear message to
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: the people of this country. This message must be read
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen on every television.
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: This message must resound throughout the entire interlakeness.
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: And now, your host.
- 1:00:49Speaker 19: I believe this is going to be our finest hour.
- 1:01:10Speaker 8: Good evening and welcome to Chris X radio. Well, the
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: second hour we already done did a whole hour, man.
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: You're like an hour late for those of you just
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: tuning in. But it's okay. It's better to be late
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: than never, especially when you're early. That's right. Welcome to
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: the Chris X Radio program. I'm the aforementioned X-Man. Got
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: a Luke Cash along. We got a Friday show on
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: Thursday underway. That's why I say early. We start our
- 1:01:38Speaker 8: weekend off 24 hours ahead of everybody else. So if
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: for some reason you're just tuning in, you're 23 hours
- 1:01:43Speaker 8: ahead of everyone else. So not so bad, huh? Eh,
- 1:01:47Speaker 8: not too bad. Anyway, glad to have you here with
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: us as we are rocking and rolling. Of course, we've
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: assumed control of the airwaves. We'll maintain control of these
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: airwaves for one more hour. And then we're done. Then
- 1:01:58Speaker 8: we're out of here. We're out for the entire weekend.
- 1:02:00Speaker 8: That's right. The Amigos will take over tomorrow from 4
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: to 6, so that's why we do our Friday show today.
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: And then we'll be back on Monday, God willing. I
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: always like to say God willing because you just never know.
- 1:02:13Speaker 8: First of all, this is radio. Anything can and will happen.
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: And second of all, We live in a crazy world. Man,
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: somebody posted a list of all of the famous people
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: that we lost. You know, we lost Dolly Parton a
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: few days ago, Tim Curry. It was yesterday. The drummer
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: for ZZ Top the day before. But we lost the
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: guy in Jurassic Park, Sam Neill. Lost him. We lost
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: Chuck Norris this year. I mean, we've lost a ton
- 1:02:42Speaker 8: of people. It's like, man, this has been a heavy
- 1:02:45Speaker 8: year for the famous people. And really, you know, a
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: lot of good people, a lot of good famous people.
- 1:02:51Speaker 8: You know, Hayden Panettiere, we lost her was last week.
- 1:02:55Speaker 8: So it was so funny because people talk about coming
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: in threes. I think we're way past three. Anyway, but
- 1:03:01Speaker 8: as we're reeling in the years, I did not know this. Lukasz,
- 1:03:06Speaker 8: did you know that Pearl Jam's album 10 turns 35
- 1:03:10Speaker 8: years old today? Nice. Does that make you feel old?
- 1:03:14Speaker 8: A little. it makes me feel real old because I
- 1:03:20Speaker 8: remember that album like it was yesterday because that was
- 1:03:24Speaker 8: in many ways, it was kicking off the grunge, but it,
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: you know, it was, it was the door had already
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: been kicked open by Nirvana. So Nirvana kicked open that
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: door and then Pearl jam slammed it to the ground
- 1:03:35Speaker 8: and stomped all over it. And then sound garden and
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: stone temple pilots and, and just on and on and
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: on a lot of great music in the nineties. But
- 1:03:43Speaker 8: when you tell me, that 1991 was how many years ago?
- 1:03:49Speaker 8: 35 years ago, and that Pearl Jam's album 10, which
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: is a great album. It has Even Flow and Alive,
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: and that's a great album. By the way, it looks
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: like President Trump has arrived here in Houston. He is here.
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: He was out on the tarmac talking. My God, he
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: has to be cooking. It's 99 degrees in my area,
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: so pretty hot over there, I'm thinking. But he was
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: out talking with some people as he had gotten off
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: the plane. So President Trump has arrived shortly after signing
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: an executive order. Renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America. OK,
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: effective immediately. From now on, it is Lake America, which
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: I think is hilarious. And by the way, there's an
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: attorney named Rocky Pilgrim, who's a woman. They're showing her
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: she's fighting something for Ben County leaders vote to reduce count.
- 1:04:44Speaker 8: of associate judges and weakened the attorney's office, they said.
- 1:04:46Speaker 8: So she's fighting, I guess, either for or against, I
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: don't know. But her name's Rocky Pilgrim. I've heard that name.
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: Had no idea it was actually a woman.
- 1:04:55Speaker 31: It is.
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: Anyway, so Lake Ontario is no longer. It is now
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: Lake of America, effective immediately. So now along with the
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: Gulf of America, we have an old new Lake of America.
- 1:05:08Speaker 8: That's right, Lake America. If you think about it, we
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: have a gulf and a lake. Now all we need
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: is an ocean. So, Lukasz, which would you pick, the
- 1:05:19Speaker 8: Pacific or the Indian Ocean? Which one would you turn
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: to the Ocean of America? That's a good question.
- 1:05:26Speaker 15: I haven't even thought about it.
- 1:05:27Speaker 8: Probably the Pacific, though. All right. So I'll let you
- 1:05:31Speaker 8: do some research and then come back. I don't want
- 1:05:34Speaker 8: you making an uneducated opinion on this. It's important stuff. No,
- 1:05:37Speaker 8: I'll stick with it. You're going to stay with the
- 1:05:40Speaker 8: Pacific Ocean.
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: Choose fast.
- 1:05:42Speaker 13: Never change your mind.
- 1:05:44Speaker 8: Man. I don't know if you're signed up for talk radio.
- 1:05:47Speaker 8: I don't know if you're ready for this. Then again,
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: for the producer side of it, you're absolutely 100% ready.
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: All right. So we got to, I think we make, see,
- 1:05:57Speaker 8: here's the difference between you and me. I say we
- 1:05:59Speaker 8: take both. Okay. We have both. The West Ocean of
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: America and the East Ocean of America. We just go
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: with that. Why not? It's so funny because we have
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: been the world leader for quite a time now. I mean,
- 1:06:14Speaker 8: I don't know how much longer we got. If the
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: Democrat Socialists of America and people like Talafrico get in,
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: then our tenure could be very limited by the way
- 1:06:23Speaker 8: those clowns operate. But I think we need two oceans,
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: not just one. That way we're surrounded by America here
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: in America. And so are the other Americas. That's right,
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: South America. I'm good with that. So anyway, fresh off
- 1:06:42Speaker 8: doing that, President Trump is now he's in Houston. He's
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: headlining a private fundraiser tonight to get a little money here,
- 1:06:49Speaker 8: I guess, for the midterms. Of course, a lot of
- 1:06:51Speaker 8: that has to do with the big Senate race with
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: Ken Paxton and James Talafrico. Talafrico.
- 1:06:59Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:06:59Speaker 8: You know, after we've learned that Carmelo Anthony had his
- 1:07:02Speaker 8: new trial denied, after Carmelo Anthony... Well, there was some
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: information that was withheld during the first trial that he
- 1:07:09Speaker 8: was looking to stab someone. He wanted to lick the
- 1:07:12Speaker 8: blood off the knife, that he was a troubled individual,
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: had lots of trouble. Well, that didn't stop Talafrico from
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: pandering to black voters, right?
- 1:07:23Speaker 7: In your state of Texas, we see what happened with
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: Carmelo Anthony, and you said it was a tragedy.
- 1:07:27Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:07:28Speaker 15: What did you mean by that? Well, I've done a
- 1:07:30Speaker 15: lot of work in the statehouse on justice reform and
- 1:07:33Speaker 15: Right now, we've got a system that doesn't serve all
- 1:07:35Speaker 15: Americans equally. And and we know that black Texans have
- 1:07:40Speaker 15: been have not gotten the justice they deserve in many cases. And,
- 1:07:46Speaker 15: you know, I'm not an expert on this particular case,
- 1:07:47Speaker 15: but I know that there were no black members of
- 1:07:49Speaker 15: the jury. And to me, that's that's the only evidence
- 1:07:52Speaker 15: you need to to really prove that the system is
- 1:07:55Speaker 15: not working.
- 1:07:56Speaker 8: OK, so the only evidence you need to prove the
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: system is not working is that it wasn't a black jury.
- 1:08:03Speaker 8: You know, there were three members, actually three people, potential
- 1:08:06Speaker 8: jurors that were black. All three of them said they
- 1:08:08Speaker 8: could not be objective, which is why they were dismissed
- 1:08:11Speaker 8: from the jury pool. And it wasn't an all-white jury.
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: They were Hispanic people. They were Asian people. And then
- 1:08:19Speaker 8: we learned that Carmelo Anthony had fantasized about stabbing someone.
- 1:08:25Speaker 8: So he showed up at a a school-sanctioned event that
- 1:08:28Speaker 8: he wasn't supposed to be at. He went to a
- 1:08:30Speaker 8: tent that he wasn't supposed to be at. He brought
- 1:08:32Speaker 8: a knife to a campus event, which you're not supposed
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: to have, stabs a white kid in the heart and
- 1:08:38Speaker 8: kills him, and then a big portion of the Democrat
- 1:08:41Speaker 8: Party and the black community, they all turned it into
- 1:08:45Speaker 8: a race issue. Young black men should be allowed to
- 1:08:51Speaker 8: murder white kids when they show up to events like this. Otherwise, racism.
- 1:08:56Speaker 8: what yeah we need that guy in the U.S. Senate
- 1:09:00Speaker 8: yeah representing Texas he's wrong on all the big issues
- 1:09:04Speaker 8: in fact he's wrong on all the issues I mean,
- 1:09:09Speaker 8: there could be a few. I think he knows that
- 1:09:11Speaker 8: he's wrong on the issues because now he runs, you know,
- 1:09:14Speaker 8: he's running a campaign against everything he stood for. Take
- 1:09:16Speaker 8: a listen.
- 1:09:17Speaker 11: The Democrats have a weird, a weird chat today.
- 1:09:21Speaker 6: God is non-binary.
- 1:09:24Speaker 11: There are many more than two biological sexes.
- 1:09:28Speaker 6: In fact, there are six.
- 1:09:29Speaker 15: It is now existential that. We try to reduce our
- 1:09:33Speaker 15: meat consumption. The American flag is such a complicated symbol
- 1:09:36Speaker 15: for most of us.
- 1:09:37Speaker 16: Prophetic voices like Jesus have helped me reckon with my
- 1:09:39Speaker 16: own whiteness, my own masculinity.
- 1:09:42Speaker 15: Our southern border should be like our front porch. There
- 1:09:45Speaker 15: should be a giant welcome mat out front. No need
- 1:09:48Speaker 15: to sit and cry over, you know, your whiteness or
- 1:09:51Speaker 15: your masculinity.
- 1:09:52Speaker 6: They're going to call me a radical leftist.
- 1:09:55Speaker 8: Something that you love that's not family or friends.
- 1:09:58Speaker 15: I love, I'm just saying this because it's on my mind,
- 1:10:02Speaker 15: the trans children.
- 1:10:04Speaker 11: The Democrats have a weird, a weird candidate.
- 1:10:09Speaker 17: Low-T Tallarico, too weak for Texas.
- 1:10:14Speaker 8: Now you know why Trump is coming to Texas to
- 1:10:16Speaker 8: raise money for Ken Paxton and other candidates as well.
- 1:10:19Speaker 8: This is what he had to say in the Oval
- 1:10:20Speaker 8: Office earlier today.
- 1:10:21Speaker 7: So I'll be going to Texas, and we're working very hard.
- 1:10:24Speaker 7: We want to win that race. He's running against a...
- 1:10:27Speaker 7: man who should never be. We have a very good candidate,
- 1:10:30Speaker 7: Ken Paxton, and he's running against Telefrico, they call him,
- 1:10:36Speaker 7: because he is a little freaky. And that's not a
- 1:10:39Speaker 7: man that represents the value of Texas. So I'm going
- 1:10:42Speaker 7: to help Ken Paxton, and I'm going to spend a
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: lot of time in Texas. I have the all-time highest
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: vote in the history of Texas also. And I'm going
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: to Spend some time there. We'll be going tonight. Some
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: of you are going with me. Thank you very much, everyone.
- 1:10:56Speaker 8: Okay, so Donald Trump is in town tonight. He just
- 1:10:58Speaker 8: landed a little while ago. I guess it was over at,
- 1:11:01Speaker 8: is it, it's not Hooks, and I don't think it's
- 1:11:04Speaker 8: not Ellington anymore. Now it's, what is it, the Lone
- 1:11:07Speaker 8: Star Flight Museum is there. They hold the Wings Over Houston,
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: which the Amigos always do a live broadcast the Friday
- 1:11:13Speaker 8: before Wings Over Houston. In the past, I know, I've
- 1:11:17Speaker 8: gone and got to fly in the little small prop planes.
- 1:11:21Speaker 8: Greg and I from the station have gone and done
- 1:11:23Speaker 8: that multiple times. And he flew in a plane one
- 1:11:26Speaker 8: time that didn't even have a backseat. Literally, he was
- 1:11:29Speaker 8: sitting on the floor of the plane in a little
- 1:11:31Speaker 8: two-seater plane. the pilot in the front, him in the back,
- 1:11:35Speaker 8: and it didn't have a seat. And he let me
- 1:11:37Speaker 8: pick the two planes we didn't know. He goes, which
- 1:11:39Speaker 8: one do you want to fly in? I'm like, I
- 1:11:40Speaker 8: don't care. And he was like, okay, well, so which
- 1:11:43Speaker 8: one are you sure? And I was like, it doesn't
- 1:11:45Speaker 8: matter to me. So I think I flew in the
- 1:11:48Speaker 8: Japanese zero plane and he flew in the American plane,
- 1:11:51Speaker 8: but the American plane didn't have a seat in the back.
- 1:11:54Speaker 8: It was funny because at a certain point we're flying
- 1:11:57Speaker 8: in tandem. And I looked over and I remember taking
- 1:11:59Speaker 8: a picture of him with my phone and And I
- 1:12:01Speaker 8: was like, man, that seat must be really low because
- 1:12:04Speaker 8: his head was barely sticking up above the side of
- 1:12:06Speaker 8: the window. And then I found out that there wasn't
- 1:12:12Speaker 8: even a seat there. I'm so glad I didn't pick
- 1:12:15Speaker 8: that plane. Of course, I flew in mine. I had
- 1:12:18Speaker 8: the seat. And that was actually a whole lot of
- 1:12:20Speaker 8: fun because we fly and it's over on the south
- 1:12:23Speaker 8: side of town. So we fly around. We go over,
- 1:12:25Speaker 8: I guess, the... What is it? The Fred Hartman Bridge.
- 1:12:28Speaker 8: And then we go fly around the Texas Monument, which,
- 1:12:32Speaker 8: as you know, is taller than the Washington Monument. So
- 1:12:36Speaker 8: we fly around that. And it was really cool. The
- 1:12:38Speaker 8: pilot I had, I guess he was in his late 60s,
- 1:12:42Speaker 8: had been flying for a very long time. But he
- 1:12:44Speaker 8: was very cool. And at one point, this is the
- 1:12:46Speaker 8: only time I've ever done this. was we're flying, when
- 1:12:49Speaker 8: he went by the monument, he did one of those
- 1:12:54Speaker 8: big turns where you turn and you get almost completely sideways,
- 1:12:57Speaker 8: then you go upside down, and then you go down,
- 1:12:59Speaker 8: and of course it ends up being right side up.
- 1:13:02Speaker 8: And when he did that, at first I was like, whoa,
- 1:13:04Speaker 8: I wasn't prepared for it. He didn't warn me. And
- 1:13:07Speaker 8: I thought, oh, my God, you'll be scared. Good thing
- 1:13:09Speaker 8: I have the seatbelts on. But the funny thing is,
- 1:13:11Speaker 8: because of the inertia and the G-force, it sucks you
- 1:13:14Speaker 8: into your seat. And after we did it, I asked him,
- 1:13:18Speaker 8: I was like, man, I said, how many Gs was that?
- 1:13:20Speaker 8: And he goes, it's probably about between five and seven Gs.
- 1:13:23Speaker 8: And I didn't know how I would take that. I
- 1:13:25Speaker 8: didn't know if I could. But I did. I was
- 1:13:28Speaker 8: in no fear at any time of blacking out. I
- 1:13:30Speaker 8: didn't get sick. I've only flown commercial, basically. I've never
- 1:13:37Speaker 8: flown in a helicopter. But we did that. That was
- 1:13:40Speaker 8: a lot of fun. And after he did that, I
- 1:13:43Speaker 8: felt a whole lot better because I was like, okay,
- 1:13:44Speaker 8: I thought maybe I might be worried, you know, because
- 1:13:47Speaker 8: I don't have a super strong stomach. And if I
- 1:13:49Speaker 8: get on like a ride, like in the old days
- 1:13:51Speaker 8: at Astroworld or whatever, and a ride goes around in circles,
- 1:13:55Speaker 8: I would get dizzy and get sick. Well, I didn't
- 1:13:57Speaker 8: get sick at all because we didn't go around circles.
- 1:13:59Speaker 8: He just did that one thing. And then when we
- 1:14:01Speaker 8: were flying back towards all of a sudden, my back
- 1:14:05Speaker 8: area started filling up with smoke. And I went, oh,
- 1:14:08Speaker 8: this is a bad sign. This is a real bad.
- 1:14:11Speaker 8: And I was like, OK, wait a minute. This is
- 1:14:14Speaker 8: an actual smoke. It was the smoke they make for
- 1:14:17Speaker 8: they do the dog fights. At least they did. They did.
- 1:14:19Speaker 8: I don't know if they're doing them this year. But
- 1:14:21Speaker 8: they did the dog fight. And what he did is
- 1:14:23Speaker 8: he turned on the smoke as though the American plane
- 1:14:26Speaker 8: was shooting us down. And it was funny because I went,
- 1:14:29Speaker 8: when it started filling up, you know, it didn't fill up.
- 1:14:31Speaker 8: It just, the smoke was going through it. And I said, hey,
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: I'm getting smoke back here. Is that supposed to happen?
- 1:14:37Speaker 8: And his response, and he was very funny. He's like, yeah,
- 1:14:40Speaker 8: that's supposed to happen. And he explained to me what
- 1:14:42Speaker 8: was going on. So that was a really fun trip.
- 1:14:45Speaker 8: That was a good one. I think that was the
- 1:14:46Speaker 8: last one we did.
- 1:14:47Speaker 28: Oh, no.
- 1:14:49Speaker 8: And then we did, I've flown in different planes each time.
- 1:14:51Speaker 8: I think I've done it three times. And then, so
- 1:14:55Speaker 8: that was a really good one. And then the last
- 1:14:56Speaker 8: time after that, there was a, we flew in a
- 1:14:58Speaker 8: slightly bigger prop plane, but Greg and I were in
- 1:15:01Speaker 8: the back. I remember Harland, Harland from, what was his
- 1:15:06Speaker 8: name of his company? I can't remember. He went with
- 1:15:07Speaker 8: us and he got the cool seat. He got to
- 1:15:09Speaker 8: ride up front. I'm like, yeah, thanks a lot. But,
- 1:15:13Speaker 8: but we still, it's, it's so awesome flying those planes.
- 1:15:15Speaker 8: Cause you get to see things very cool. That was
- 1:15:17Speaker 8: where I learned. Another thing was that when you fly
- 1:15:19Speaker 8: in those little prop planes, I thought when you were
- 1:15:22Speaker 8: flying over land at a certain point, we go over,
- 1:15:24Speaker 8: you know, the Gulf of Mexico. I'm sorry. The Gulf
- 1:15:27Speaker 8: of America makes us say that.
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:15:30Speaker 8: We flew over the Gulf of America. We went over
- 1:15:32Speaker 8: the beach and then went out over the ocean. And
- 1:15:35Speaker 8: I thought, I was like, wow. I said, I asked
- 1:15:38Speaker 8: the guy, the pilot, I went, is this normal? It's like,
- 1:15:40Speaker 8: it's funny. It's really smooth. And he goes, yeah, anytime
- 1:15:43Speaker 8: you're flying over water, it's a lot smoother. And I
- 1:15:45Speaker 8: was like, I thought there's going to be more wind
- 1:15:48Speaker 8: because when you go to the beach, there's more wind.
- 1:15:50Speaker 8: And then I thought the waves might have something to do. No,
- 1:15:52Speaker 8: it's the exact opposite. Pilots know this. I didn't know this.
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: That when you go fly over land, that because there's
- 1:15:58Speaker 8: mountains and hills, you get the different varying wind things
- 1:16:01Speaker 8: and it's a rougher ride. But soon as you get
- 1:16:04Speaker 8: over the ocean, it's smooth sailing. It's flat as can be.
- 1:16:07Speaker 8: I was like, wow, I had no idea. But that's
- 1:16:11Speaker 8: pretty cool. And like I said, from there, I mean,
- 1:16:15Speaker 8: it was a quick little plane trip to the beach
- 1:16:18Speaker 8: over Galveston, flying out over the ocean a little bit.
- 1:16:20Speaker 8: I looked and tried to see some giant sharks. I
- 1:16:22Speaker 8: didn't see any. But we did that. So that's been
- 1:16:26Speaker 8: a lot of fun. And then the only other time
- 1:16:28Speaker 8: was one of those trips was the Thunderbirds, not the
- 1:16:32Speaker 8: fabulous Thunderbirds. The T-Birds, the flight group, they're similar to
- 1:16:36Speaker 8: the Blue Angels. They were there that time. And we were...
- 1:16:39Speaker 8: I was standing out on the tarmac while they were training. Well,
- 1:16:41Speaker 8: they weren't training. They were practicing. And that was when,
- 1:16:44Speaker 8: for the first time I've ever seen, a plane flying.
- 1:16:47Speaker 8: And you know when they break the sound barrier? There's
- 1:16:50Speaker 8: that halo of... there's that, I guess it's vapor that
- 1:16:55Speaker 8: goes around them. You can see it. Well, the plane
- 1:16:58Speaker 8: was going through, and of course we have hearing protection on,
- 1:17:00Speaker 8: or at least I did. And as it's going, it's,
- 1:17:02Speaker 8: it kept hitting that. Well, it's flying about a hundred,
- 1:17:04Speaker 8: maybe a hundred yards off the ground and it's flying by.
- 1:17:07Speaker 8: So I'm watching it. And I was like, that is incredible.
- 1:17:11Speaker 8: And then it turns and goes straight up at a
- 1:17:13Speaker 8: gazillion miles an hour. And I went, okay, can I
- 1:17:16Speaker 8: fly in one of those next time? They're like, no,
- 1:17:17Speaker 8: I don't think so. So we'll see. Maybe we'll go
- 1:17:21Speaker 8: fly again this year, get some new stories. That's a
- 1:17:24Speaker 8: lot of fun. All right, it is our Friday show
- 1:17:25Speaker 8: on Thursday. Sorry since I wasted this entire segment basically
- 1:17:29Speaker 8: talking about airplanes. We'll talk about anything you guys want
- 1:17:33Speaker 8: to talk about.
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: 281-558-KCB, 281-558-5738.
- 1:17:35Speaker 8: It is our Friday show on Thursday. The Democrats just
- 1:17:44Speaker 8: handed Donald Trump a tool that they have been fighting
- 1:17:47Speaker 8: him against the whole time. We can come back and
- 1:17:49Speaker 8: we can hit in that. We can also talk about
- 1:17:51Speaker 8: the Cameron County Sheriff's Office releasing the ICE officer who
- 1:17:55Speaker 8: is wanted in Minnesota for an officer-involved shooting incident. We'll
- 1:17:59Speaker 8: get into that. Ted Cruz made it clear he still
- 1:18:02Speaker 8: wants to be president. We can get into that, too.
- 1:18:04Speaker 8: It went on Lieutenant Dan's podcast. All right, you're listening
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: to Chris X Radio. We'll be right back. Don't you
- 1:18:09Speaker 8: go anywhere.
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: You're listening to Chris X Radio. Chris X Radio. The

- 1:18:39Speaker 14: Oh, geez, if I hear another Obamacare commercial telling me
- 1:18:42Speaker 14: how great it is, I think I'm going to vomit.
- 1:18:44Speaker 14: In reality, folks are paying out the nose for crappy insurance,
- 1:18:47Speaker 14: meaning those commercials are just as much BS as Obamacare.
- 1:18:50Speaker 10: Is.
- 1:18:51Speaker 14: What if you're under 65 and need quality, affordable health coverage?

- 1:20:30Speaker 8: When it comes to garage doors, no one knows more.
- 1:20:34Speaker 6: Than the doctor.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: Garage door doctor.
- 1:20:37Speaker 6: We got a call late New Year's Eve.
- 1:20:39Speaker 36: A father with big plans for his family the next
- 1:20:41Speaker 36: day said his garage door spring just snapped. He couldn't
- 1:20:44Speaker 36: get his car out and wouldn't be able to get
- 1:20:45Speaker 36: his family to where they needed to go. He felt
- 1:20:48Speaker 36: stuck and alone. So we showed up fast with the
- 1:20:51Speaker 36: right spring and the right parts to fix it right.
- 1:20:53Speaker 36: We didn't talk about the price. We didn't wait till
- 1:20:55Speaker 36: the morning. We fixed it right then. Because at Garage
- 1:20:58Speaker 36: Door Doctor, it's never just about the job. It's about
- 1:21:01Speaker 36: the person behind it. The dad, the veteran, the grandpa,

- 1:21:08Speaker 36: When you need help, we're the ones that show up.

- 1:21:18Speaker 36: last a lifetime.
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: Because we're proud to serve the people who rely on us.
- 1:21:21Speaker 8: When it comes to garage doors, no one knows more
- 1:21:24Speaker 8: than the doctor.
- 1:21:27Speaker 12: And now, back to Chris X Radio.
- 1:21:33Speaker 4: Chris X Radio. On the voice of Texas.
- 1:21:50Speaker 8: So Cashmere is the Foo Fighters. It's a great song,
- 1:21:52Speaker 8: by the way. I enjoy this one. But Pearl Jam's
- 1:21:55Speaker 8: album 10 is turning 35 years ago today, which, of course,
- 1:21:59Speaker 8: takes me back to the 90s because that seemed like
- 1:22:01Speaker 8: it was yesterday when it came out to me. But
- 1:22:03Speaker 8: if it came out 35 years ago, does that mean
- 1:22:06Speaker 8: now that the alternative, the grunge movement, does that make
- 1:22:10Speaker 8: that all classic rock now? I think Lucas is refusing
- 1:22:19Speaker 8: to answer me.
- 1:22:19Speaker 21: Oh, sorry.
- 1:22:20Speaker 13: Yeah, no, it breaks your heart, doesn't.
- 1:22:23Speaker 7: It?
- 1:22:23Speaker 8: Well, no, I'm already old enough to wear no classic rock,
- 1:22:26Speaker 8: so it's no big deal. Hey, we're getting some rain
- 1:22:28Speaker 8: in the area. I-45 north at Spring Stubner looks pretty wet. Oh, man.
- 1:22:35Speaker 8: I won't complain if we get some rain. We could
- 1:22:36Speaker 8: use it. It's been really hot.
- 1:22:39Speaker 13: Thanks, Trump.
- 1:22:41Speaker 8: Yeah, thanks a lot, Donald Trump. He brought the rain
- 1:22:45Speaker 8: to Houston. You know what? He needs to come visit
- 1:22:48Speaker 8: more often if that's the case. I'll take it. Once again,
- 1:22:55Speaker 8: I'm still shocked that the album 10, which, by the way,
- 1:22:57Speaker 8: the Foo Fighters were after. Did the Foo Fighters really?
- 1:23:01Speaker 8: I guess they were the late 90s, early 2000s. I mean,
- 1:23:05Speaker 8: there's still a band. I've gone through a few drummers.
- 1:23:09Speaker 8: I don't know who their most recent drummer is. I
- 1:23:12Speaker 8: don't know if they brought back their original drummer because
- 1:23:15Speaker 8: Taylor Hawkins joined them. And then he passed away. I
- 1:23:19Speaker 8: think he died of a drug, heroin overdose. Once again,
- 1:23:25Speaker 8: rock stars trying to police them. Once again, that was
- 1:23:27Speaker 8: when everybody was all upset at Dave Grohl because he
- 1:23:31Speaker 8: fathered a child out of his marriage. I'm like, dude,
- 1:23:34Speaker 8: at any point in time, hold on. Let me grab
- 1:23:36Speaker 8: my handbook here. Let me look at this.
- 1:23:38Speaker 12: Yep.
- 1:23:39Speaker 8: Flipping through the pages. Rock star. Is anybody really surprised
- 1:23:47Speaker 8: that a rock star would behave in a method that
- 1:23:50Speaker 8: maybe not the most monogamous person on the world? Maybe
- 1:23:54Speaker 8: has a penchant for doing things like with a lot
- 1:23:56Speaker 8: of alcohol and possibly some drugs. You know, anybody shocked
- 1:24:00Speaker 8: by that? Okay. I was reading the, was it the basis?
- 1:24:05Speaker 8: Jeff Amint said, he said, I think we spent about $ 25, 000
- 1:24:09Speaker 8: making that record. They didn't expect it to become a
- 1:24:12Speaker 8: huge deal. but I guess it kind of became one. Yeah,
- 1:24:15Speaker 8: that album was huge. That was a big album. Man,
- 1:24:20Speaker 8: like I said, that was back in 1997, 98, when
- 1:24:22Speaker 8: I was playing with the band Catch-22. Yeah, I think
- 1:24:26Speaker 8: we played, did we play? Yeah, we played some Pearl Jam.
- 1:24:29Speaker 8: I think we played a live or maybe even flow.
- 1:24:32Speaker 8: I know I played them in multiple bands. Certified 13
- 1:24:37Speaker 8: times platinum. It was on the Billboard chart for nearly
- 1:24:42Speaker 8: five years. It's one of the highest-selling rock records ever,
- 1:24:45Speaker 8: which makes Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd
- 1:24:48Speaker 8: even more unbelievable. It was in the top 100 for
- 1:24:52Speaker 8: over a decade. Then it went out for one day,
- 1:24:55Speaker 8: and then it went back. And I don't know if
- 1:24:57Speaker 8: it's still there, but incredible. But like I said, I
- 1:25:03Speaker 8: truly enjoyed the album 10. That was a good one.
- 1:25:07Speaker 8: What's funny is.
- 1:25:09Speaker 8: Pearl Jam's original name, they wanted to call themselves Mookie Blaylock.
- 1:25:13Speaker 8: They wanted to name it after a basketball player, which
- 1:25:16Speaker 8: I don't even know which team that guy played for.
- 1:25:20Speaker 8: I think they went Pearl Jam was a good call. Which,
- 1:25:23Speaker 8: by the way, once again, they named it after, I
- 1:25:26Speaker 8: don't know who's, they had an Aunt Pearl and she
- 1:25:28Speaker 8: made Jam. And put it in a jar. So they
- 1:25:32Speaker 8: named the band Pearl Jam. That's kind of a cool
- 1:25:34Speaker 8: name for a band. For one, the jam element of it.
- 1:25:36Speaker 8: You know, we jam. That, it's funny because when I'm
- 1:25:40Speaker 8: driving up to the hill country, there's a place that
- 1:25:42Speaker 8: has honey. They sell honey. And it's called Fane's Honey.
- 1:25:45Speaker 8: I'm like, that's a good name for a band. Fane's Honey.
- 1:25:52Speaker 8: But then again, like I said, I don't know. Would
- 1:25:53Speaker 8: we be allowed to play that music these days? But
- 1:25:57Speaker 8: people are all posting because Pearl Jam 10 turned 35 today.
- 1:26:01Speaker 8: Somebody's posting their best song is called Animal. Oh, that's
- 1:26:04Speaker 8: a good one. I'd rather be with an animal. But
- 1:26:10Speaker 8: I was a big Pearl Jam fan. Of course, I
- 1:26:11Speaker 8: like Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains. I enjoyed
- 1:26:16Speaker 8: a lot of their 80s rock metal. I like that.
- 1:26:18Speaker 8: I love the 70s rock, the Zeppelin, the Queen, you
- 1:26:21Speaker 8: name it. That's Pink Floyd. That stuff's great. And then
- 1:26:25Speaker 8: there was the 80s, which was 80s metal. I was
- 1:26:28Speaker 8: a Judas Priest. Wasn't a big fan of Iron Maiden,
- 1:26:33Speaker 8: but I liked Judas Priest. And that's the other thing, too,
- 1:26:36Speaker 8: why people, it's all the stupid woke crap. They're like, yo,
- 1:26:40Speaker 8: but Judas Priest's singer was gay. That didn't bother you.
- 1:26:42Speaker 8: I didn't care. I'm not a groupie. I wasn't trying
- 1:26:45Speaker 8: to sleep with them. I didn't care that he was gay.
- 1:26:50Speaker 8: He had an amazing, still does apparently, had an amazing
- 1:26:53Speaker 8: voice and they made amazing music. They were great. That
- 1:26:57Speaker 8: Screaming for Vengeance album, that thing's a masterpiece. And I
- 1:27:02Speaker 8: would say 10 from Pearl Jam's a masterpiece. Just like
- 1:27:05Speaker 8: Core from Stone Temple Pilots and Physical Graffiti or was
- 1:27:10Speaker 8: it Led Zeppelin 4? Pick your Van Halen album. Van
- 1:27:15Speaker 8: Halen 1, 2, 3. Fair Warning is their best album.
- 1:27:19Speaker 8: It's my favorite album by them. But my favorite Van
- 1:27:22Speaker 8: Halen is Van Hagar. They really should have changed the
- 1:27:25Speaker 8: name to Van Hagar because it was really two different eras.
- 1:27:30Speaker 8: And I know there are people that are still into
- 1:27:33Speaker 8: the David Lee Roth era because I love David Lee Roth.
- 1:27:36Speaker 8: He was great. He's weird now. He's old and weird.
- 1:27:39Speaker 8: But he was a great singer. He was a great
- 1:27:41Speaker 8: front man. Probably one of the best ever for a
- 1:27:44Speaker 8: metal or rock band. But, I mean, Eddie Van Halen,
- 1:27:47Speaker 8: you just can't touch it. There's a reason why the
- 1:27:49Speaker 8: band was named Van Halen. And then they brought in Sammy. And, honestly,
- 1:27:54Speaker 8: they sold more albums with Sammy because they were more
- 1:27:56Speaker 8: commercial and it was better. And Sammy Hagar has written
- 1:28:00Speaker 8: a ton of hits already on his own with Montrose.
- 1:28:04Speaker 8: He's written hits for movies. He wrote heavy metal. He's written,
- 1:28:07Speaker 8: I mean, a lot of great songs. Sammy Hagar is
- 1:28:10Speaker 8: exceptionally talented. That being said, David Lee Roth just recently
- 1:28:14Speaker 8: canceled his tour with Because he was playing the old
- 1:28:17Speaker 8: Van Halen music because of lack of sales. And I
- 1:28:20Speaker 8: understand why. Watching David Lee Roth try to sing that stuff,
- 1:28:24Speaker 8: he really can't. Not on the live performance level with
- 1:28:27Speaker 8: a full band. It's him just screaming and talking. It's
- 1:28:31Speaker 8: kind of terrible. But he has released a few videos
- 1:28:35Speaker 8: of him online with him just playing an acoustic guitar.
- 1:28:39Speaker 8: And when he sings quiet. with the acoustic guitar he
- 1:28:41Speaker 8: can still sing I guess it's just when you get
- 1:28:45Speaker 8: in your 70s You've got to be a phenom like
- 1:28:48Speaker 8: Sammy Hagar, some of these people that can still really
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: project those vocals. David Lee Roth cannot. I mean, it's
- 1:28:55Speaker 8: funny because he's got a band that he's put together
- 1:28:58Speaker 8: of all these guys that you don't know who any
- 1:28:59Speaker 8: of them are, and they are nailing the Van Halen songs.
- 1:29:02Speaker 8: They're playing them perfect, and then the only original member
- 1:29:05Speaker 8: of Van Halen in front of that band is the
- 1:29:07Speaker 8: only one that can't do it. It's kind of funny.
- 1:29:11Speaker 8: Whereas Sammy Hagar with his band playing the best of
- 1:29:13Speaker 8: all worlds, which is not just Van Halen. It's Van Halen.
- 1:29:16Speaker 8: It's Sammy. It's Montrose. They can really nail him. And
- 1:29:22Speaker 8: Sammy can still sing him. He doesn't sing quite like
- 1:29:25Speaker 8: he did back in the 80s, but he can still
- 1:29:27Speaker 8: sing it. So anyway.
- 1:29:29Speaker 25: All right.
- 1:29:29Speaker 8: Well, that just burned another segment. Boy, can you tell
- 1:29:31Speaker 8: it's a Friday show on Thursday? I do believe it is. Oh,
- 1:29:34Speaker 8: there we go. A little Barracuda action. Once again, the
- 1:29:39Speaker 8: Wilson sisters. They broke glass ceilings before they even existed.
- 1:29:45Speaker 8: That's why I guess maybe I'm weird because I was
- 1:29:47Speaker 8: raised on all this stuff. So I don't see racism
- 1:29:51Speaker 8: and sexism like other people. I've worked for women, been
- 1:29:54Speaker 8: around women. have friends that are black, worked with black people,
- 1:29:57Speaker 8: never thought anything of all that before identity politics came
- 1:30:01Speaker 8: along and the people just started using people for their
- 1:30:03Speaker 8: own personal gain. All right, 281-558-KSEVA, 281-558-5738. You're listening to
- 1:30:11Speaker 8: Chris X Radio. We've only got two segments remaining, and
- 1:30:13Speaker 8: we'll be right back.
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: The resistance is futile. Chris X Radio.
- 1:30:25Speaker 25: Chris X Radio.
- 1:30:27Speaker 3: After a hard rain, you can see them. The water
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: stains on the ceiling or the dripping water from a
- 1:30:32Speaker 3: recessed light. Now you start to get nervous because you
- 1:30:36Speaker 3: know leaks can cause big problems.
- 1:30:38Speaker 37: Once the water enters the structure, the trouble starts. Water
- 1:30:41Speaker 37: weakens rafters and beams over time. It soaks through drywall
- 1:30:45Speaker 37: and damages the insulation in your home.
- 1:30:48Speaker 3: And Roland, don't forget about mold. It grows fast in
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: our humidity and causes all kinds of health problems.
- 1:30:54Speaker 37: I'd really hate to see you spend thousands on expensive
- 1:30:57Speaker 37: structural or drywall repairs or mold removal projects, especially when
- 1:31:01Speaker 37: we can fix those leaks quickly at Tejas Roofing.

- 1:33:33Speaker 4: The voice of Texas. The voice of reason. Chris X Radio.
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: Speaking of 90s.
- 1:33:54Speaker 8: Collective Soul. This is Shine. This is the original one
- 1:33:56Speaker 8: that Dolly Parton does that amazing remake of. This is
- 1:34:00Speaker 8: one of those songs, first time I heard it, I
- 1:34:02Speaker 8: loved it. I was like, I really like this song.
- 1:34:06Speaker 8: Just got a great rhythm, good feel. That's kind of
- 1:34:08Speaker 8: how I like music, I guess. This was a good band.
- 1:34:13Speaker 8: I saw Collective Soul two or three times. I was
- 1:34:16Speaker 8: counting up. It's funny, I was talking to my brother
- 1:34:17Speaker 8: the other night. which I love that part, drop D2,
- 1:34:20Speaker 8: which makes it fun, was all the bands that I've seen.
- 1:34:24Speaker 8: And as we're talking, I'm remembering all of these concerts
- 1:34:27Speaker 8: that I've been to. And I remember going and seeing
- 1:34:30Speaker 8: Collective Soul. I believe I saw them at one or
- 1:34:32Speaker 8: two of the BuzzFest. You guys remember those? Back when
- 1:34:37Speaker 8: all those hit back in the 90s, late 90s? Saw those.
- 1:34:42Speaker 8: I remember waiting in line at one of the BuzzFests
- 1:34:45Speaker 8: and Better Than Ezra was playing. They were We were
- 1:34:48Speaker 8: trying to get in, and the line was long to
- 1:34:50Speaker 8: get in and better than Ezra was playing. And I'm like, man,
- 1:34:53Speaker 8: I want to get in so I can watch them.
- 1:34:57Speaker 6: But they were good.
- 1:34:57Speaker 8: Eve Six, you guys remember them? There's so many bands
- 1:35:03Speaker 8: that have just gotten overshadowed, and then now they don't
- 1:35:08Speaker 8: hardly get airplay anymore, which frustrates the hell out of
- 1:35:10Speaker 8: me because we've only got one classic rock station and
- 1:35:13Speaker 8: then one alternative, which is basically classic rock. But now
- 1:35:17Speaker 8: that we turned that, what was the hot hits? It
- 1:35:20Speaker 8: wasn't hot hits. What was it? It was the State 95-7.
- 1:35:25Speaker 8: It was the fun when we hit mute. Now they
- 1:35:27Speaker 8: turned it to a sports station. So, eh. I'm someone
- 1:35:32Speaker 8: who doesn't really watch a whole lot of sports. I
- 1:35:35Speaker 8: darn sure don't listen to it on radio. Even though
- 1:35:37Speaker 8: I worked at CBS radio, which I was over at
- 1:35:39Speaker 8: the business station. That was the spot. The spot, that's right.
- 1:35:44Speaker 8: They flipped the spot, turned it to sports. Now, Cash,
- 1:35:49Speaker 8: if I remember correctly, didn't you intern over there for
- 1:35:51Speaker 8: one of them sports stations? 650 News. Okay. No, you
- 1:35:57Speaker 8: worked at 650. Oh, that's right. Yeah, that was the
- 1:36:01Speaker 8: business news station. I remember that you worked there because
- 1:36:03Speaker 8: I remember the guy who hired you. His name was, oh,
- 1:36:06Speaker 8: that's right, Chris X. So I remember that, but didn't
- 1:36:09Speaker 8: you intern for the sports station, or was it for
- 1:36:11Speaker 8: the Rockets, or what did you intern for?
- 1:36:13Speaker 13: Oh, yeah, no, that was for the Houston Rockets.
- 1:36:15Speaker 8: I was their clip host.
- 1:36:16Speaker 13: Highlight coordinator i believe under craig ackerman.
- 1:36:20Speaker 8: No craig oh man craig ackerman was cool i remember
- 1:36:23Speaker 8: i didn't know him really at all but i remember
- 1:36:26Speaker 8: at one point he had to use our studios to
- 1:36:29Speaker 8: do one of the games or something and he couldn't
- 1:36:30Speaker 8: have been cool which i i don't know it was
- 1:36:33Speaker 8: a was it a rockets game he was doing the
- 1:36:36Speaker 8: calling one of the games and he came over and
- 1:36:38Speaker 8: like i said he was a really nice guy to
- 1:36:40Speaker 8: work with i was like okay this guy's cool i
- 1:36:42Speaker 8: like him But he couldn't have been cooler. Like I said,
- 1:36:46Speaker 8: a lot of times when they come, I got to
- 1:36:47Speaker 8: meet Jim Rome. He was over there. I got to meet,
- 1:36:51Speaker 8: what's funny was Jim Rome was there. That was when
- 1:36:52Speaker 8: I got to meet Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio. Stevie Franchise,
- 1:36:57Speaker 8: you guys remember him? Steve Francis. Which was kind of
- 1:37:01Speaker 8: interesting with Steve Francis because he was only 6'1, which
- 1:37:04Speaker 8: I'm 6 feet. So he's like my size, basically, a
- 1:37:07Speaker 8: little bit taller. But he wasn't a real big dude. But, man,
- 1:37:09Speaker 8: the guy could compete in the NBA. That's impressive. And
- 1:37:13Speaker 8: Jeff Bagwell was literally, I mean, I think he was
- 1:37:15Speaker 8: probably an inch shorter than me. Maybe, but close. And
- 1:37:19Speaker 8: then Craig Biggio was taller. He was around, he was shorter.
- 1:37:22Speaker 8: He was like 5'10 or 11. But he was tall.
- 1:37:24Speaker 8: And I'll never forget, Jeff Bagwell could not have been
- 1:37:28Speaker 8: more just a regular guy. He was just like us.
- 1:37:30Speaker 8: He was cool as can be. And we just basically
- 1:37:32Speaker 8: hung out with him. Biggio was a little standoffish, but
- 1:37:36Speaker 8: he was actually very cool. Remember, I've told this story before.
- 1:37:39Speaker 8: All the ladies were getting their pictures taken with him.
- 1:37:42Speaker 8: And one of the kids that worked for me, a
- 1:37:43Speaker 8: kid named Justin, he wanted to get his picture taken
- 1:37:46Speaker 8: with Craig. And he was trying to get in. And
- 1:37:49Speaker 8: every time he'd get close, they would usher Craig to
- 1:37:52Speaker 8: the next thing or do this. And he never got in.
- 1:37:55Speaker 8: And he was like the next person to take a
- 1:37:56Speaker 8: picture and got bumped each time like three times. And
- 1:37:59Speaker 8: then they were ushering Craig out of the building because
- 1:38:01Speaker 8: they were done. He had to go. And as Craig
- 1:38:03Speaker 8: was leaving the station out of the doors, he'd open
- 1:38:06Speaker 8: the door and he stopped. And he turned around and looked.
- 1:38:09Speaker 8: And he pointed at Justin and went, you wanted a picture.
- 1:38:12Speaker 8: And came back in and took a picture with him.
- 1:38:14Speaker 8: And I was like, you know what? I respect that.
- 1:38:16Speaker 8: Because most of those guys are way too busy to
- 1:38:19Speaker 8: do those sort of things. But that was really cool
- 1:38:22Speaker 8: of him. And I remember Jim Rome had his guy,
- 1:38:25Speaker 8: I don't remember his producer at the time, who, which
- 1:38:29Speaker 8: I learned, was the one feeding all of the good lines,
- 1:38:32Speaker 8: all the good quips to Jim Rome off air. And
- 1:38:35Speaker 8: then Jim Rome would say I'm on air, and everybody
- 1:38:37Speaker 8: thought it was him. But that guy ended up going
- 1:38:39Speaker 8: and doing his own sports show, which I don't know
- 1:38:41Speaker 8: what it is. So, Lucas, from now on, you've got
- 1:38:44Speaker 8: to start feeding me these lines, these really good quips
- 1:38:47Speaker 8: that I can use so I can become rich and
- 1:38:49Speaker 8: famous and everybody thinks it's me? Deal. Sweet. That was
- 1:38:55Speaker 8: a whole lot easier than I thought it was going
- 1:38:57Speaker 8: to be. All right. So now I'm just going to
- 1:39:00Speaker 8: sit in dead silence until I get good lines from
- 1:39:03Speaker 8: Lucas on that. But that was one. But that was also,
- 1:39:07Speaker 8: oddly enough, Stevie Francis, I went to a– I think
- 1:39:13Speaker 8: it was with my girlfriend. We went to go eat
- 1:39:15Speaker 8: at a Luby's one morning or one afternoon. And Steve
- 1:39:19Speaker 8: Francis was there with his family. He was buying his
- 1:39:21Speaker 8: whole family lunch or dinner. And he was cool as
- 1:39:24Speaker 8: hell there. He was a nice guy. And I remember
- 1:39:27Speaker 8: I met George Foreman, which I'd met him before. He
- 1:39:31Speaker 8: was raised in the Humble Kingwood area. Sorry, he wasn't
- 1:39:33Speaker 8: raised there. He lived there. I was raised there. So
- 1:39:37Speaker 8: I ran into George Foreman at a movie theater at
- 1:39:40Speaker 8: Deerbrook Mall, and then I house-sit for some people in
- 1:39:43Speaker 8: his neighborhood. So I saw him a few times there. Anyway,
- 1:39:46Speaker 8: he was over at the sports station one time, and
- 1:39:49Speaker 8: that was when I shook his hand, and I realized,
- 1:39:52Speaker 8: my Lord, that dude had, I'm talking about bare paws,
- 1:39:56Speaker 8: my entire hand fit in the palm of his hand.
- 1:40:00Speaker 8: And he was only about 6'3, but, boy, he was
- 1:40:03Speaker 8: every bit of a man of that 6'3. I realize
- 1:40:05Speaker 8: why he knocked people out the way he did, because
- 1:40:08Speaker 8: his hands were so big, and he was so strong.
- 1:40:12Speaker 8: And Foreman was a gentle giant, couldn't have been nicer,
- 1:40:16Speaker 8: was a really cool guy. So I met Lance Berkman.
- 1:40:19Speaker 8: He was cool. I remember who else I met because
- 1:40:24Speaker 8: we were over in the same building and I would also,
- 1:40:26Speaker 8: I would do stuff and record over in the booth
- 1:40:28Speaker 8: right next to sports radio six 10, which is now
- 1:40:32Speaker 8: the FM 95, seven, the sports, whatever it is. So what,
- 1:40:36Speaker 8: like we needed another sports station, but so I worked
- 1:40:40Speaker 8: over there for about nine years. So I met a
- 1:40:41Speaker 8: lot of people. I remember a lot of those people
- 1:40:44Speaker 8: met a lot of the, and then what was funny
- 1:40:45Speaker 8: because kick 95 was country at the time. And we
- 1:40:48Speaker 8: were the business radio station right next to it. So
- 1:40:51Speaker 8: I got to quote unquote, meet Shania Twain. She was weird.
- 1:40:55Speaker 8: She didn't talk to anyone. Wasn't friendly. Um, but Eric Heatherly,
- 1:41:00Speaker 8: I think, did he get in trouble for something? But
- 1:41:03Speaker 8: we would get liners from them all whenever they would
- 1:41:05Speaker 8: come out there. Met him. That's where I met Clint Black.
- 1:41:08Speaker 8: He was real nice. I've heard he's kind of a
- 1:41:10Speaker 8: snake behind closed doors, but he was nothing but nice.
- 1:41:14Speaker 8: Trying to remember some of the other stars we met.
- 1:41:16Speaker 9: Wait, wait, wait.
- 1:41:17Speaker 35: I got one.
- 1:41:19Speaker 8: What do you got?
- 1:41:19Speaker 13: What, Shania Twain didn't impress you much?
- 1:41:24Speaker 8: Yeah, that's the thing about Shania. She didn't impress me much.
- 1:41:27Speaker 8: You only told me that. You didn't say that over
- 1:41:29Speaker 8: the air, right, Lucas?
- 1:41:30Speaker 12: Correct, correct.
- 1:41:31Speaker 8: Okay, good. Thank you. Yeah, she didn't impress me much. Oh,
- 1:41:37Speaker 8: very nice. Okay, that's your new gig. You got to
- 1:41:39Speaker 8: start doing that every time. Yeah, in fact, I remember
- 1:41:43Speaker 8: talking to the DJ. He was on air. And Shania
- 1:41:45Speaker 8: went in and went, hey, don't talk to me until
- 1:41:48Speaker 8: you crack the mic and we'll do our segments. I
- 1:41:50Speaker 8: don't want to talk in between the segments. She wasn't
- 1:41:52Speaker 8: real friendly. Didn't impress me much. Whereas Eric Hathaway was
- 1:41:57Speaker 8: real nice. And that was back when they just came
- 1:42:00Speaker 8: out with the PT Cruiser. And he saw there was
- 1:42:03Speaker 8: a picture of one or something in our studio. And
- 1:42:04Speaker 8: he goes, oh, man, I like those PT Cruisers. I
- 1:42:06Speaker 8: want to get one. He was kind of like a
- 1:42:08Speaker 8: young Elvis, the way he talked. And he was Southern.
- 1:42:11Speaker 8: He was tall and country. But I don't even remember
- 1:42:15Speaker 8: what song hit he had. I'm not a country guy.
- 1:42:16Speaker 8: So there's that. Okay, hold on. I actually meant to...
- 1:42:22Speaker 8: in this segment to actually get to something of importance
- 1:42:25Speaker 8: because clearly I'm ready for the weekend. And by the way,
- 1:42:28Speaker 8: we've only got one segment remaining. So if you want
- 1:42:30Speaker 8: to weigh in on this Friday show on Thursday, otherwise
- 1:42:32Speaker 8: you get inane, you know, reminiscing because that's, you know,
- 1:42:36Speaker 8: in the week that you lose Dolly Parton, Tim Curry,
- 1:42:39Speaker 8: and the drummer for Frank Beard for ZZ Top. It's
- 1:42:43Speaker 8: time to reminisce a little bit. The Cameron County Sheriff's
- 1:42:46Speaker 8: Office has released the ICE officer who was wanted in
- 1:42:49Speaker 8: Minnesota for this alleged officer-involved shooting incident. The release came
- 1:42:53Speaker 8: after Governor Greg Abbott did not sign the rendition extradition
- 1:42:57Speaker 8: requested by Minnesota Governor Tampon Tim Walz. Governor Jazz Hands.
- 1:43:06Speaker 8: The South Texas Sheriff's Office released ICE officer Christian Castro
- 1:43:10Speaker 8: early this morning, according to the Associated Press. A small
- 1:43:14Speaker 8: gathering of reporters and onlookers just stood there as witness
- 1:43:17Speaker 8: as Castro walked out of the jail, waved, and then
- 1:43:18Speaker 8: drove away in an SUV shortly before sunrise. His release
- 1:43:23Speaker 8: from Cameron County Jail comes one day after a U.S.
- 1:43:25Speaker 8: District Court judge in Brownsville refused to take action on
- 1:43:29Speaker 8: a lawsuit filed by Minnesota Governor Tampon Tim Walz and
- 1:43:33Speaker 8: his attorney general, Keith Ellison, against Governor Abbott and the
- 1:43:37Speaker 8: Cameron County Sheriff. Yeah, once again, I agree with this.
- 1:43:41Speaker 8: Tell him to pound sand. They are politicized. I don't
- 1:43:44Speaker 8: trust their judicial system. I don't trust them. Are they
- 1:43:47Speaker 8: going to let Somalis rule on it? They're criminals and
- 1:43:50Speaker 8: they're crooks. And no, I wouldn't absolutely do anything. Judge
- 1:43:54Speaker 8: Fernando Rodriguez in the Southern District of Texas, appointed by
- 1:43:58Speaker 8: President Trump in 2018, ruled that as the matter is
- 1:44:01Speaker 8: not ripe, quote unquote, because of the Constitution's extradition clause
- 1:44:06Speaker 8: and the Uniform Criminal Extradition Act, do not set a
- 1:44:10Speaker 8: specific deadline according to the order issued on Wednesday afternoon.
- 1:44:15Speaker 8: The court emphasized that Governor Abbott has neither agreed nor
- 1:44:18Speaker 8: refused to sign the warrant. Abbott formally referred the matter
- 1:44:21Speaker 8: to the Texas Secretary of State on July 31, 2026,
- 1:44:25Speaker 8: to investigate whether Castro is legally, quote, a fugitive. Unquote.
- 1:44:31Speaker 8: A review step explicitly authored under Texas Code Criminal Procedures
- 1:44:36Speaker 8: Article 51-13-4. The judge ruled that Abbott has not formally
- 1:44:42Speaker 8: denied the extradition request and that Minnesota's claim rests on
- 1:44:47Speaker 8: speculation about future events, making it, quote, not right for
- 1:44:52Speaker 8: federal adjudication. The court record states that Governor Abbott has
- 1:44:57Speaker 8: either agreed, neither agreed, nor refused to sign the warrant. So, okay,
- 1:45:03Speaker 8: there you go. All right, and the cool thing is,
- 1:45:07Speaker 8: you know, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick now has a podcast
- 1:45:10Speaker 8: called the Lieutenant Dan's Podcast. Ted Cruz went on there.
- 1:45:15Speaker 8: here in the last week, and while he was being
- 1:45:18Speaker 8: interviewed by Lieutenant Governor, which, by the way, you guys,
- 1:45:22Speaker 8: longtime KSEV listeners, understand the chair that I now occupied
- 1:45:25Speaker 8: was filled with Dan Patrick before he was a state senator,
- 1:45:28Speaker 8: before he was Lieutenant Governor. He's a fantastic radio guy.
- 1:45:31Speaker 8: He's an amazing broadcaster, and he's a fantastic Lieutenant Governor, too.
- 1:45:36Speaker 8: So he's doing a really good job on his podcast.
- 1:45:39Speaker 8: When he asked Cruz, who ran for president in 2016,
- 1:45:41Speaker 8: if he plans to run again, Cruz responded, time will tell.
- 1:45:47Speaker 8: He says, I will say there's a bug that history
- 1:45:49Speaker 8: has proved is rarely ended. It is a permanent and
- 1:45:54Speaker 8: often fatal bug. Cruz remarks came after he told MSNOW
- 1:45:58Speaker 8: host Ali Vitale on Monday that the GOP has not
- 1:46:02Speaker 8: coalesced around Vance just yet. And the party's 28, 2028
- 1:46:06Speaker 8: presidential nominee for the presidential election is, well, it hasn't
- 1:46:11Speaker 8: been decided. He said, oh, no, there's going to be
- 1:46:12Speaker 8: a full discussion about who we are and what we believe.
- 1:46:16Speaker 8: So if you haven't had a chance to check out
- 1:46:18Speaker 8: the Lieutenant Governor's podcast, it's called Lieutenant Dan's Podcast. It's excellent.
- 1:46:24Speaker 8: I've only watched a couple of episodes, and they're both excellent.
- 1:46:27Speaker 8: He gets good guests. He's had Ken Paxton on there,
- 1:46:30Speaker 8: Ted Cruz, and some other really good ones. All right,
- 1:46:33Speaker 8: let's take a break, and then we'll come back. El Marco,
- 1:46:35Speaker 8: hold on for me. I'll get to you on the
- 1:46:36Speaker 8: other side before we run out of time. You may
- 1:46:39Speaker 8: get the final word tonight, so you can't don't hang up.
- 1:46:42Speaker 8: All right, you're listening to Chris X Radio. We'll be
- 1:46:44Speaker 8: right back to wrap up here our Friday show on Thursday.

- 1:50:01Speaker 17: Chris X Radio.
- 1:50:13Speaker 8: They were Australian kids. I remember the drummer was like 12.
- 1:50:18Speaker 8: And the lead singer, guitar player was like 17. And
- 1:50:20Speaker 8: I think the bass player was like 15. They were
- 1:50:23Speaker 8: a three-piece. They were pretty good. I like this song. Tomorrow,
- 1:50:28Speaker 8: I believe is the name of it. Played this live
- 1:50:30Speaker 8: a few times. Anyway, welcome back to Chris X Radio.
- 1:50:33Speaker 8: You've reached the final segment of our Friday show on Thursday.
- 1:50:36Speaker 8: That means we won't be back tomorrow. The Amigos take
- 1:50:39Speaker 8: over tomorrow from 4 to 6 with El Senador leading
- 1:50:42Speaker 8: up the ring. And then, of course, you've got the judge.
- 1:50:45Speaker 8: And then bat and clean up a strew with a view.
- 1:50:47Speaker 8: That's right, Ben Strewsand planting that proverbial... Lucille bat upside
- 1:50:54Speaker 8: the head of the judge trying to knock some sense
- 1:50:55Speaker 8: into him, figuratively. And it's never worked. It hasn't worked once.
- 1:50:59Speaker 8: By the way, Luke Cash was looking up online trying
- 1:51:02Speaker 8: to find us a good Lucille replica. Keep looking and
- 1:51:05Speaker 8: send me a good one because we've got to get
- 1:51:07Speaker 8: him one. Will do. All right, so he's going to
- 1:51:09Speaker 8: do that. All right, let's go to the phones. We've
- 1:51:10Speaker 8: got El Marco, who's been patiently holding out near Fulcher.
- 1:51:14Speaker 8: El Marco, thank you for hanging on. Welcome to Chris
- 1:51:16Speaker 8: X Radio.
- 1:51:18Speaker 20: Hey, yeah.
- 1:51:18Speaker 13: Hey, Chris. Before I get into the reason I was
- 1:51:20Speaker 13: called when he was asking me, I'll do a detour
- 1:51:23Speaker 13: because you brought up a good old Lieutenant Dan. And
- 1:51:26Speaker 13: that man is wonderful all the years. I mean, I
- 1:51:29Speaker 13: ran into him last year coming out of Benihana. And
- 1:51:35Speaker 13: I said, you know, Lieutenant Governor Dan, how are you
- 1:51:39Speaker 13: and all that? And I said, hey, do you remember?
- 1:51:41Speaker 13: And he starts to point at me and says, And
- 1:51:44Speaker 13: then I said, yeah, you played our church for a
- 1:51:47Speaker 13: charity event a whole bunch of years ago when he
- 1:51:49Speaker 13: was a sports broadcaster and all that stuff. He said, yes, man,
- 1:51:53Speaker 13: how you doing? It was like, you know, it took
- 1:51:56Speaker 13: the time to stop and talk to me and all
- 1:51:57Speaker 13: that still. After all this time, it wasn't like I
- 1:52:00Speaker 13: can't be bothered with the little people because I'm an
- 1:52:01Speaker 13: important government official now and all this other stuff. So, yeah,
- 1:52:05Speaker 13: I've got nothing but, you know, good things to say
- 1:52:08Speaker 13: about him. That's Dan.
- 1:52:11Speaker 8: That's exactly him. He is who you see always. He's
- 1:52:13Speaker 8: very kind. A nice guy, and he's also a very
- 1:52:15Speaker 8: smart guy. So that doesn't surprise me at all.
- 1:52:18Speaker 13: So, but I was talking about, yeah, those terrible threes,
- 1:52:23Speaker 13: they seem to happen in threes, right? These deaths, whether
- 1:52:26Speaker 13: it's music or movie industry, how weird is that, you know?
- 1:52:32Speaker 8: What's really weird, it does, and like I said, it
- 1:52:34Speaker 8: always seems to happen that way, but then looking back,
- 1:52:37Speaker 8: actually this year, I mean, we've lost Chuck Norris, we've
- 1:52:40Speaker 8: lost a ton of people that really And I wish
- 1:52:43Speaker 8: I had that picture in front of me, someone who
- 1:52:44Speaker 8: put together a picture with a lot of the people
- 1:52:47Speaker 8: on there. And it was like it was astonishing. You know,
- 1:52:49Speaker 8: we lost Sam Neill from Jurassic Park and a million
- 1:52:51Speaker 8: other movies. And so we've lost a lot of really
- 1:52:54Speaker 8: big people this year. But here, like I said, within
- 1:52:56Speaker 8: a week's time, usually you don't lose Frank Beard, the
- 1:52:59Speaker 8: drummer for ZZ Top, followed by Dolly Parton and then
- 1:53:01Speaker 8: Tim Curry. So that's hopefully that's all three and we
- 1:53:04Speaker 8: won't get any more now. I think I think we're
- 1:53:06Speaker 8: good for the year. What do you say, Marco?
- 1:53:08Speaker 13: I hope so. I mean, but, you know, at least
- 1:53:11Speaker 13: they're there if they have the faith and all that,
- 1:53:13Speaker 13: that they're still in a better place where we're all
- 1:53:15Speaker 13: going to eventually go to.
- 1:53:16Speaker 8: That's a good point.
- 1:53:18Speaker 4: Good one.
- 1:53:19Speaker 8: Well, we're out of time, Marco. Thank you for the call.
- 1:53:21Speaker 8: Appreciate it.
- 1:53:22Speaker 6: Good points.
- 1:53:23Speaker 8: I'd go longer, but we're out of time. So we're done.
- 1:53:25Speaker 8: All right, we're done. The Amigos take over tomorrow, 4
- 1:53:29Speaker 8: to 6. Enjoy the program.
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: Listen to them.
- 1:53:31Speaker 8: And then we'll be back, God willing, on Monday. See
- 1:53:33Speaker 8: you then.
