- 0:00Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simon Show, Live from the w o
- 0:03Speaker 1: R Life Back studios.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, a lot going on, all right. There was an
- 0:11Speaker 2: attempted terrorist attack on the UFC fight at the White House, Uh,
- 0:16Speaker 2: Sunday night. We'll get to that. We'll get to I
- 0:19Speaker 2: ran the deal, nobody likes it. We'll get to sy Vance.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Uh Uh. We'll get to JD. Vans. Si. Vance was
- 0:30Speaker 2: our district attorney here in New York.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Uh.
- 0:34Speaker 2: JD. Vans. He's got some unusual activities today that he's doing.
- 0:40Speaker 2: We'll get to that. Coming up. We'll get to Epstein.
- 0:42Speaker 2: There's some interesting information there. We'll get to Mom Donnie.
- 0:45Speaker 2: We'll get to the knick. Of course, we'll get to
- 0:47Speaker 2: the parade and Gavin Newsom and a whole lot more So.
- 0:51Speaker 2: The investigation is underway into Gavin Newso apparently it's been
- 0:57Speaker 2: underway for weeks now. He has known about it because
- 1:01Speaker 2: a lot of documents have been subpoened. H they've been
- 1:05Speaker 2: issuing grand jury subpoenas to people to testify. So knew
- 1:08Speaker 2: some new about this for weeks and decided to make
- 1:11Speaker 2: it public and to go on the counter attack. And
- 1:16Speaker 2: of course, why how do you know, defend yourself in this,
- 1:19Speaker 2: and well, you claim it's Trump. It's law fair. He's
- 1:22Speaker 2: out to get me because I'm running against him. You
- 1:24Speaker 2: claim all that kind of stuff.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Donald Trump isn't just coming after me because of my
- 1:28Speaker 4: mean tweets. He's coming after me because I'm considering running
- 1:32Speaker 4: for president because he hates that I've consistently called him
- 1:36Speaker 4: out over and over again for his lies and deceit.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Yeah, he's not used to being attacked. Trump boy, it
- 1:43Speaker 2: must have really shook him up to be attacked for
- 1:44Speaker 2: the first time anybody now, Actually, uh, and that's funny.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Newsom still will not admit he's running. Keeps saying he's
- 1:53Speaker 2: considering running, and he used the old Trump line. He's
- 1:57Speaker 2: not coming after me, He's coming after you and all.
- 1:59Speaker 2: That's a big part of this is his wife, Jennifer.
- 2:05Speaker 2: That's who really has got the problem. They're scrutinizing the finances,
- 2:09Speaker 2: the salaries and the transactions, payments and stuff from her
- 2:14Speaker 2: nonprofit that she was running, the Representation Project. This is
- 2:20Speaker 2: her nonprofit where you can raise money in certain ways.
- 2:24Speaker 2: It's a nonprofit, it's a charity. It's at five oh
- 2:26Speaker 2: one C three, But apparently some money they believe went
- 2:29Speaker 2: from that into her for profit film production company. Now
- 2:35Speaker 2: you can't do that. That's illegal. In other words, if
- 2:39Speaker 2: you're a charity and you receive money into your charity,
- 2:43Speaker 2: you can give it to other charitable causes. It's charity money.
- 2:46Speaker 2: It can only go to charitable stuff. It can't go
- 2:49Speaker 2: to for profit stuff. Otherwise, every con man would just
- 2:55Speaker 2: set up a charity, raise money for his charity, and
- 2:58Speaker 2: then transfer it over to himself to his own business.
- 3:01Speaker 2: You can't do that. So they're examining. And this is
- 3:03Speaker 2: a lot millions of dollars in donations that the Newsom's
- 3:07Speaker 2: solicited for this nonprofit, millions and millions of dollars. And
- 3:12Speaker 2: Newsom has his own nonprofit, the California Partners Project, including
- 3:17Speaker 2: funds from all kinds of people. And remember he's the governor,
- 3:22Speaker 2: so a lot of people donate to his charity, hoping
- 3:24Speaker 2: to ingratiate themselves with the governor. Now, if any of
- 3:27Speaker 2: that money got transferred to anything else except charity, he's
- 3:32Speaker 2: got a problem. There's former staff, his former chief of
- 3:37Speaker 2: staff is being investigated, and the former chief of staff,
- 3:42Speaker 2: Dana Williamson, pled guilty to federal fraud and tax charges.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Now this was in a separate matter, but did admit
- 3:51Speaker 2: to federal fraud and tax charges separate matter. But he
- 3:57Speaker 2: shosely the type of guy this was DANEA A guy
- 4:00Speaker 2: or a woman, I don't know, but there's some definitely,
- 4:05Speaker 2: definitely could have a problem of going through documents.
- 4:07Speaker 4: They're demanding records, they're abusing the grand jury process, digging
- 4:11Speaker 4: through years and years of random documents.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Well, I think that's what you do an investigation with
- 4:17Speaker 2: a grand jury. I think you go through records.
- 4:18Speaker 4: In recent days, federal agents have knocked on the doors
- 4:21Speaker 4: of family friends and former employees, not because they found
- 4:25Speaker 4: a crime, because they're simply trying to find one.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Well, but again, from what I hear, it's not just smoke.
- 4:34Speaker 2: There's some fire here. You know. This is the same
- 4:36Speaker 2: defense that John Bolton used. And of course in the end,
- 4:41Speaker 2: even he had to admit he was one thousand percent guilty.
- 4:44Speaker 2: It wasn't just law fair. He really was guilty. This
- 4:48Speaker 2: happens so even in the case of Hillary Clinton, although
- 4:53Speaker 2: the dirty cop called me was in charge and let
- 4:55Speaker 2: her go into decline to prosecute, he did admit in
- 4:58Speaker 2: that press conference she was guilty as hell. Of taking illegally,
- 5:03Speaker 2: taking all sorts of classified documents, top secret classified stuff
- 5:07Speaker 2: and putting it on her home computer. So case of Bolton,
- 5:10Speaker 2: case of Hillary made it sound like they were being
- 5:14Speaker 2: targeted because they were Trump enemies. Turns out they were
- 5:17Speaker 2: both very very very guilty.
- 5:19Speaker 4: In recent days, federal agents have knocked on the doors
- 5:22Speaker 4: of family friends.
- 5:23Speaker 2: We already heard that. Here's another one. This is more newsome.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Donald Trump is simply the most corrupt president in American history.
- 5:33Speaker 4: He's turned the lovers of government into his own personal
- 5:36Speaker 4: power ministries to reward cronies and to try to jail
- 5:40Speaker 4: his opponents. So let me say it again, mister president,
- 5:43Speaker 4: come after me. I'm not going anywhere, and the country
- 5:47Speaker 4: is watching.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Yeah, so that sounds pretty good there, But again it's
- 5:52Speaker 2: the same stuff John Bolton said, And it turned out
- 5:54Speaker 2: he was absolutely guilty of everything he was accused of.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And you know, Democrats knew some all these times that
- 6:03Speaker 2: they love hyperbole.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Donald Trump is simply the most corrupt president in American history.
- 6:11Speaker 4: He's turned the lovers of government into his own personal
- 6:14Speaker 4: power ministries to reward cronies and to try to jail
- 6:18Speaker 4: his opponents.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I think that was Biden and America Garland. If I recall,
- 6:24Speaker 2: I think it was Robert Muller and Andrew Weiseman. I
- 6:26Speaker 2: think that was going on for four years, and this
- 6:29Speaker 2: guy never ever said a word about it. Hey, the
- 6:33Speaker 2: Knicks Championship. The parade is Thursday morning, and part of
- 6:39Speaker 2: the reason, Mayor Mom Donne.
- 6:40Speaker 5: Part of the reason we're having this parade on Thursday
- 6:43Speaker 5: is to ensure the players have enough time to bring
- 6:45Speaker 5: their families because they've been working their entire life for this.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well I think that's normal. Everybody brings
- 6:52Speaker 2: their family to the parade. Give them time. How much
- 6:55Speaker 2: time does it take to get your family here? You
- 6:56Speaker 2: got a day or two. So they had a big
- 7:00Speaker 2: apparently the Knicks, you know, they flew back from San Antonio.
- 7:05Speaker 2: They got back and then that night they had a
- 7:07Speaker 2: huge private party just for themselves at the exclusive the
- 7:14Speaker 2: exclusive membership club, the fly Fish Club. This is down
- 7:17Speaker 2: the Lower East Side. If you go in there, it
- 7:21Speaker 2: doesn't it doesn't look so exclusive. You got to be
- 7:23Speaker 2: a member or a coman a member. It's not exactly
- 7:26Speaker 2: the Metropolitan clubs. It's not exactly the University Club. It's
- 7:30Speaker 2: it says exclusive, but It just looks like a Lower
- 7:33Speaker 2: East Side nightclub with a doorman. That's about all it is.
- 7:36Speaker 2: But the Knicks had quite a party there. The parade
- 7:39Speaker 2: through the Canyon of Heroes Thursday starts at Battery Park
- 7:42Speaker 2: ends at City Hall where they have a big ceremony there.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Now it turns out that James Dolan about oh, I
- 7:51Speaker 2: think it was about ten weeks ago. I went into
- 7:53Speaker 2: the locker room and gave them a ten minute pep
- 7:55Speaker 2: talk speech. It was quite moving. You can go online
- 7:58Speaker 2: and see it. Somebody taped it and it's up online.
- 8:01Speaker 2: It's pretty powerful about what it could mean. You know,
- 8:05Speaker 2: these are all young guys, and he said to them,
- 8:08Speaker 2: you know, I don't know if you really know how
- 8:10Speaker 2: significant this will be receiving the winning the championship. He said,
- 8:16Speaker 2: it will change your lives. It'll follow you for the
- 8:19Speaker 2: rest of your life. It's a great thing. It was
- 8:21Speaker 2: quite a speech, so I don't know if you understand
- 8:24Speaker 2: what it would mean. It will stick with you for
- 8:25Speaker 2: the rest of your lives. And if you don't win,
- 8:28Speaker 2: you'll be thinking about it for the rest of your life.
- 8:30Speaker 2: But if you win, it'll be life changing. And if
- 8:33Speaker 2: you do win, this team will be belonging up in
- 8:36Speaker 2: the rafters with the nineteen seventy Knicks and the nineteen
- 8:39Speaker 2: seventy three Knicks. It was a pretty powerful speech. And
- 8:42Speaker 2: then he told them he would they would each have
- 8:44Speaker 2: a championship ring. He even said, and I promise you,
- 8:48Speaker 2: I'll buy a ring for each one of your significant
- 8:50Speaker 2: others because their contributions are very important to this team.
- 8:55Speaker 2: That's a pretty generous thing. Now, a championship ring two
- 9:00Speaker 2: thousand dollars. There's different championship rings, even the World Series rings.
- 9:04Speaker 6: All of that.
- 9:05Speaker 2: They're made by Balfour that makes the college rings, or
- 9:09Speaker 2: Jostin's does some teams. Barren is a new company. Some
- 9:12Speaker 2: teams have yoused, but it's the company makes the college rings.
- 9:15Speaker 2: They just make a bigger, fancier one. And sometimes when
- 9:19Speaker 2: they make a lot of these rings for the team
- 9:21Speaker 2: and the staff and the coaches, the player ones are
- 9:25Speaker 2: eighteen Carrett gold. Those are like thirty five hundred and
- 9:27Speaker 2: four thousand, but the staff ones are like fourteen carrot gold.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Those are like two thousand. And it's not unusual to
- 9:35Speaker 2: give them the wives. In fact, some years owners George
- 9:38Speaker 2: Steinberner would give I mean I got World Series rings.
- 9:41Speaker 2: George Steinberner would give World Series rings to his friends
- 9:44Speaker 2: to There's a lot of restaurants you can go to
- 9:47Speaker 2: where the owners got a World Series ring because George
- 9:50Speaker 2: eight there. They're often given out all the time, and
- 9:54Speaker 2: usually for the wives. Though it wasn't a ring. It
- 9:57Speaker 2: was the top of the ring on a chain. It
- 10:00Speaker 2: was like a necklace. Really beautiful, but quite a speech
- 10:04Speaker 2: from Dolan. So hey, jd Vance, the vice president. Jd
- 10:11Speaker 2: Vance will be on the View today. Now he's got
- 10:14Speaker 2: a book out. That's why you see him on every
- 10:17Speaker 2: show in the world. And he's been on twenty seven
- 10:19Speaker 2: shows in the last two days, and every time he's
- 10:21Speaker 2: on an exclusive interview, exclusive interview. I just saw on
- 10:25Speaker 2: seven shows in one hour, but it's an exclusive interview.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Today he'll be on the View with those clucking hens
- 10:32Speaker 2: and I guess it's good. It'll create some viral stuff,
- 10:38Speaker 2: I guess, but I can't imagine there's anybody watching the
- 10:41Speaker 2: View who's going to buy a jd Vance book, So
- 10:44Speaker 2: I don't know what the point is. He's also going
- 10:46Speaker 2: to be on Megan Kelly's podcast. Now, this is interesting
- 10:52Speaker 2: because she's in a dilemma here she's what's known as
- 10:55Speaker 2: a clickhore, do anything to go viral, anything that clicks.
- 10:59Speaker 2: That's so she says outrageous things all the time. They
- 11:02Speaker 2: call that a clickhore. There's plenty of those around, but
- 11:06Speaker 2: that's her. So she's got to decide does she want
- 11:09Speaker 2: to really beat them up and go viral and get
- 11:12Speaker 2: her clicks or something. She's trying to worm her way
- 11:16Speaker 2: back into Trump world. She's trying to get back in
- 11:19Speaker 2: the inner circle there. So will she be nice to them?
- 11:23Speaker 2: Will she be mean to them? We'll see, we'll see.
- 11:25Speaker 2: But again, she doesn't have a big audience. It looks
- 11:28Speaker 2: like she does. But again, she's paying for clicks, paying
- 11:32Speaker 2: for likes, paying for followers, all that kind of stuff everybody,
- 11:37Speaker 2: everybody alleges behind the scenes. But she'll be doing that today.
- 11:42Speaker 2: So and the other thing you to remember the big publishers.
- 11:45Speaker 2: If you're a vice president, you get one of the
- 11:47Speaker 2: top publishing companies in the world. The big publishing houses,
- 11:52Speaker 2: their public relations, their PR department are always the worst,
- 11:57Speaker 2: always the worst. That's why all the great authors. I
- 12:01Speaker 2: don't think vance knew this, but all the great authors
- 12:04Speaker 2: hire their own top publicist to do the publicity because
- 12:08Speaker 2: the publisher's publicists, they're all twenty four years old. They
- 12:13Speaker 2: got a list of anything they can book you on,
- 12:15Speaker 2: and they just book you on anything and everything. But
- 12:17Speaker 2: expect some fireworks from the view today. You don't have
- 12:21Speaker 2: to watch it. Just wait till later and the clips
- 12:24Speaker 2: will come out. The Iran deal publicly, nobody likes it.
- 12:29Speaker 2: They don't like the idea of a deal. They don't
- 12:31Speaker 2: like doing it. President Trump says, it'll be good. You know,
- 12:36Speaker 2: you got to trust the guy. He knows what he's doing.
- 12:38Speaker 2: This may be not the final chapter. This might be
- 12:42Speaker 2: a middle chapter. This deal. It's basically punting down the
- 12:45Speaker 2: road for a couple of months. People say, you know,
- 12:49Speaker 2: a lot of people say, well, he's playing chess. He's
- 12:51Speaker 2: a chess player. Well, I don't know if you know this.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Iran invented chess. It was invented in Iran, so they
- 12:58Speaker 2: know how to play chess over there.
- 13:00Speaker 7: President Trumpeley, it's going to be a good relationship and
- 13:02Speaker 7: we're going to get along and if we don't go
- 13:06Speaker 7: back to where we started. But I don't think it's
- 13:08Speaker 7: going to be necessary.
- 13:09Speaker 2: No, that's the key. It may look like a bad deal.
- 13:13Speaker 2: But if that's the case, go right back to bombing
- 13:16Speaker 2: the hell out of them.
- 13:17Speaker 7: He straighten. It's open now, but it opens completely wab
- 13:23Speaker 7: all the mines, knocks out them. For the most we
- 13:26Speaker 7: have a lot of lanes right now already.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Yeah, he opened the straight a couple of weeks ago
- 13:30Speaker 2: for ships we were sneaking him through. Basically, he did
- 13:33Speaker 2: get one hundred million barrels through the straits, which is
- 13:35Speaker 2: why oil is way way down. Hang on, let me
- 13:40Speaker 2: check here. Oil down three dollars again. Today it's at
- 13:43Speaker 2: seventy six dollars, seventy eight dollars a barrel. Seventy eight dollars.
- 13:48Speaker 2: That's down from like one hundred and ten down to
- 13:50Speaker 2: seventy eight. It's dramatically down. Oil is way down, stock
- 13:55Speaker 2: market is way up. Rising to the fourth day in
- 13:58Speaker 2: a row. It's at fifty two thousand.
- 14:00Speaker 6: That down.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Nobody ever dreamed they'd ever see fifty thousand. It's at
- 14:04Speaker 2: fifty two thousand. Unbelievable. Hey, by the way, SpaceX two
- 14:10Speaker 2: hundred and seventeen dollars a year. It's up, but don't worry,
- 14:14Speaker 2: they'll be They'll be ups and down. So anyway, the
- 14:16Speaker 2: deal will be signed on Friday and then they'll release
- 14:19Speaker 2: it and let everybody read it.
- 14:20Speaker 7: This is a very powerful document and I want it
- 14:22Speaker 7: to be released, so probably pretty soon, I would say
- 14:26Speaker 7: after some time after Friday.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Yeah, Friday, they're going to sign it in Switzerland. JD.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Vans will fly over there. He was a big part
- 14:34Speaker 2: of the negotiation to sign it.
- 14:36Speaker 7: Heels O sign and these trainers already partially opened. As
- 14:40Speaker 7: you know, they're doing a little hunting for a couple
- 14:43Speaker 7: of minds they've already found. But it's essentially ships are
- 14:49Speaker 7: starting to go out now. On Friday, it'll be completely opened.
- 14:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:54Speaker 2: So again publicly, I don't think anybody likes the deal. JD.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Vance got his name all over it as one of
- 15:01Speaker 2: the chief architects negotiators of this debt. You know, if
- 15:05Speaker 2: he wants to run, if it goes badly, then he's
- 15:08Speaker 2: stuck with that. You know, he's got he's got this
- 15:10Speaker 2: on his resume.
- 15:11Speaker 8: Now we'll be releasing the text this week and what
- 15:13Speaker 8: everybody will see is that Iran doesn't get a dime
- 15:16Speaker 8: of money unless they perform their obligations. And the money
- 15:20Speaker 8: that we're talking about is fundamentally sanctions relief. We're not
- 15:23Speaker 8: giving them American money. Not a single dollar of American
- 15:26Speaker 8: money will go to Iran.
- 15:28Speaker 2: All right, so there's gonna be a lot of criticism,
- 15:29Speaker 2: and of course that Obama will be all over the place.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Loose is fundamentally innocence the deal I signed. Yeah, it's
- 15:37Speaker 2: not even close. It's no resemblance. Anyway, we'll take some calls.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Next eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten
- 15:45Speaker 2: is the number. Eight hundred three to two one zero
- 15:48Speaker 2: seven ten.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Get instant access to Mark by setting a pre set
- 15:54Speaker 1: in the iHeartRadio app for his live.
- 15:56Speaker 6: Show and his podcast.
- 15:58Speaker 9: Now back to the Mark Zimone show on.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Well hey, I mentioned the parade. I forgot to say.
- 16:08Speaker 2: It starts at ten o'clock and it goes to noon.
- 16:11Speaker 2: It ends at City Hall, and then at noon there's
- 16:13Speaker 2: a big This is the important part, the big City
- 16:15Speaker 2: Hall ceremony, the awards, the whole thing, and we're going
- 16:18Speaker 2: to broadcast it live here on w o R. So
- 16:22Speaker 2: if you I wouldn't go down there, it's going to
- 16:24Speaker 2: be crazy. It's gonna be it won't even be able
- 16:26Speaker 2: to get close. It's the part you want to hear
- 16:28Speaker 2: is the awards the speeches, all that sort of stuff.
- 16:31Speaker 2: But you can hear that here. We're going to broadcast
- 16:33Speaker 2: it live at noon on Thursday, so be listening. Then
- 16:37Speaker 2: let's go to Chris in Montreal. Chris, how you doing?
- 16:42Speaker 10: I'm doing good?
- 16:43Speaker 2: Mark? Thanks, how are you doing good?
- 16:44Speaker 9: Oh?
- 16:44Speaker 2: This is Chris the Pannikin. You were in Manhattan? What
- 16:47Speaker 2: are you doing? What are you doing in Montreal?
- 16:50Speaker 11: I'm visiting my girlfriend. She lives here, so I come
- 16:53Speaker 11: three or four times.
- 16:54Speaker 6: A year time.
- 16:54Speaker 2: And how do you end up dating a woman in Montreal?
- 16:58Speaker 11: Oh, it's complicated. She's Ukrainy and she was waiting for
- 17:01Speaker 11: her pogram.
- 17:02Speaker 2: This sounds like trouble.
- 17:04Speaker 11: Well it's no, it's not trouble. I've been with her
- 17:07Speaker 11: for nine years. But you know, she couldn't get a
- 17:09Speaker 11: court date because of COVID. They kept pressing back to
- 17:12Speaker 11: court days. And she had a son that lived in
- 17:14Speaker 11: Europe and she was losing him and they wouldn't let
- 17:16Speaker 11: her go visit him.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Well, that's understandable. This is real trouble.
- 17:23Speaker 11: Anyway, go ahead, Yeah, okay, who should we vote for? Like,
- 17:28Speaker 11: I'm a Republican, but years ago somebody told me to
- 17:30Speaker 11: register as a Democrat, so I could control the lesser
- 17:33Speaker 11: of all the evils in New York since we're never
- 17:35Speaker 11: going to get a Republican and they're all just running
- 17:37Speaker 11: on Trump arrangement system syndrome instead, except for the Kennedy guy,
- 17:42Speaker 11: except for Saburg. Yeah, well, everybody else is going to fight.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Who should we vote for?
- 17:47Speaker 2: You know? That was I think it was Russia came
- 17:48Speaker 2: up with that way back when he called it operations. Yeah,
- 17:51Speaker 2: and he said, you know, go vote in the other
- 17:53Speaker 2: primary there and screw them up, but you can't vote.
- 17:57Speaker 6: Uh.
- 17:58Speaker 2: You know that Schlosberg is the son of Caroline Kennedy,
- 18:01Speaker 2: is a raging lunatic, but he enters the Democratic field
- 18:04Speaker 2: and compared to these guys, he looks normal, so he's
- 18:07Speaker 2: very likely to win. Now, Brad Lander.
- 18:09Speaker 11: Is the Slausburg.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Yeah, he looks normal thought compared to these radical, crazy Democrats.
- 18:16Speaker 2: But I just don't vote for Brad Lander. He's the
- 18:18Speaker 2: most awful, despicable anti Semitic guy running anywhere. I wouldn't
- 18:24Speaker 2: vote for him. You really, there's really nothing you can
- 18:27Speaker 2: do in the democratic world, you know, the normal guys.
- 18:31Speaker 11: That's why I'm asking.
- 18:33Speaker 2: You know, Scott Stringer would look normal now, but he
- 18:36Speaker 2: has no place in this.
- 18:37Speaker 8: Uh.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Hey, as long as you're up there, tell me about Montreal.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Is it a nice place? Is it as beautiful as Montreal?
- 18:43Speaker 11: Montreal is a wonderful place. I mean it's beautiful. It's
- 18:45Speaker 11: almost like Paris. They're a little crazy with the French.
- 18:47Speaker 11: They want everybody to speak French here, but nobody really
- 18:50Speaker 11: wants to. The food is fantastic. I'm not even into food,
- 18:54Speaker 11: I mean because.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I have to.
- 18:55Speaker 11: But the food is delicious in every restaurants.
- 18:57Speaker 2: It really is one of their charms.
- 18:59Speaker 11: And the people are nice.
- 19:00Speaker 2: It's colder up there. What is the temperature now? Like
- 19:02Speaker 2: fifty no?
- 19:03Speaker 11: No, no, no, no, it's actually it's warmer here today. I
- 19:05Speaker 11: think it's going to be it's gonna be like seventy
- 19:07Speaker 11: six today. Yeah, okay, and yeah, and it's very nice.
- 19:11Speaker 11: Montreal is very nice. There's McGill college here, there's lots
- 19:14Speaker 11: of museums. It's uh, it's beautiful.
- 19:17Speaker 2: All right, all right, it sounds good. All right. I
- 19:19Speaker 2: have a good trip there. Thanks for calling, Chris. Hey,
- 19:21Speaker 2: where are the calls? Nobody's calling? That happened once a
- 19:24Speaker 2: couple of months ago. I don't know what that is.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 19:30Speaker 2: the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 19:33Speaker 2: When you go to another city, when you go to Montreal,
- 19:35Speaker 2: when you go to Paris, people he said, oh, the museums.
- 19:38Speaker 2: I would never go to a museum. I know they
- 19:41Speaker 2: got the Mona Lisa there, But once you're inside the museum,
- 19:45Speaker 2: you're not in Paris anymore. Every museum, you know, go
- 19:47Speaker 2: to the Metropolitan Museum here, it looks exactly the same
- 19:50Speaker 2: inside as the as the museum in Paris or anywhere.
- 19:56Speaker 2: It's like wherever you are in the world, going to McDonald's,
- 19:58Speaker 2: it tastes exactly the same experienced the local culture once
- 20:02Speaker 2: you're inside the museum, or once you go inside the
- 20:06Speaker 2: Eiffel Tower and climb up there, you just with a
- 20:09Speaker 2: bunch of tourists, go go hang out with the French,
- 20:11Speaker 2: Go go do actual stuff French people would do instead
- 20:16Speaker 2: of that. But that's what people do anyway. Eight hundred
- 20:20Speaker 2: and three to two one zero seven ten is the number. Hey,
- 20:24Speaker 2: there's Epstein news. We'll get to that coming up. Let's
- 20:28Speaker 2: go to uh Patrick, Let's go to Patrick.
- 20:31Speaker 12: How you doing, Hey, Mark, how are you good? I
- 20:34Speaker 12: spoke to you a while ago about getting You know,
- 20:36Speaker 12: you have great guests on about getting Michael Riedle back
- 20:39Speaker 12: one say.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Hi, yeah, yeah, we should, we should, we should get
- 20:43Speaker 2: him back on. He's in Florida a lot. He's been
- 20:45Speaker 2: taking it easy.
- 20:46Speaker 12: Yeah, but he owns the play he was talking when
- 20:48Speaker 12: he used to you know, broadcast the Morning Show. He
- 20:52Speaker 12: bought his big apartment down in Lower Manhattan. He got married,
- 20:55Speaker 12: and I know he's got a commitment with like New
- 20:58Speaker 12: York City real estate.
- 21:00Speaker 2: It's a nice apartment. It's very nice. It's not that
- 21:02Speaker 2: when you say big. It's not like a Ken Griffin
- 21:04Speaker 2: kind of an apartment. But it's good. It's very good.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I think he had a nice apartment. I think he
- 21:08Speaker 2: bought the apartment next door and combined him. Thanks for Colin.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Let's go to Lloyd in Queen's Lloyd. How you doing well?
- 21:15Speaker 3: First time I'm on with the famous Mark Simone. I
- 21:18Speaker 3: missed you at the Talkies convention the what anyway I
- 21:21Speaker 3: wanted to I said, I missed you at the Talkies
- 21:24Speaker 3: convention last week with Michael Harrison.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Nobody goes to that anymore. That's a thing of the past,
- 21:29Speaker 2: and the big thing is Barrett. Now, last time I
- 21:31Speaker 2: went to the Talkers convention was like half in the
- 21:33Speaker 2: parking lot. It's a kind of a sad over with
- 21:37Speaker 2: kind of thing. The new big one is the Barrett
- 21:40Speaker 2: Media Summit that's coming up June thirtieth. July first July said,
- 21:44Speaker 2: I think you can get I mean you can buy tickets.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I don't think you have to be in the radio business.
- 21:47Speaker 2: But it's every major figure in talk radio all in
- 21:50Speaker 2: one room. You just go to Barrettmedia dot Com. And
- 21:54Speaker 2: it's in a big, beautiful theater in the middle of Manhattan.
- 21:57Speaker 2: But that's the one you want to go to. That's
- 21:59Speaker 2: the big one. But what do you want to say, Lloyd?
- 22:03Speaker 3: Let me ask you about what the solution to the
- 22:05Speaker 3: problems we have in New York. How are we gonna
- 22:07Speaker 3: have a solutions? There are more problems than our solutions.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Well, yeah, that's true. Uh well, at some point things
- 22:15Speaker 2: have to turn around. You have to get rid of
- 22:17Speaker 2: all these crazy uh mom Donnie types, these antisemitic types.
- 22:22Speaker 2: You can get rid of all these anti you know,
- 22:26Speaker 2: anti police types. Hey, by the way, you know all
- 22:29Speaker 2: those people that were arrested at the terrible, awful violence
- 22:34Speaker 2: that occurred after the Knicks victory, you know that burned
- 22:36Speaker 2: the bus and set it on fire, and all the rioters.
- 22:40Speaker 2: They've been arrested, the sixty three arrests. But some people
- 22:44Speaker 2: think that this crazy Alvin Bragg, crazy DA might not
- 22:48Speaker 2: actually prosecute any of them. You might just let him go.
- 22:51Speaker 2: So this is the kind of you gotta get rid of, Mom, Donnie,
- 22:53Speaker 2: you got to get rid of these Alvin Bragg type
- 22:55Speaker 2: crazy DA's Letitia James. He's got a clean house. Go
- 22:59Speaker 2: back to Ray Kelly type, you know, real law enforcement,
- 23:02Speaker 2: that type of public official. Hey, when we come back,
- 23:06Speaker 2: Alan's y Bell, the great writer producer. We'll talk to
- 23:10Speaker 2: him next on seven to ten.
- 23:12Speaker 3: WR news breaks out in every show, Mark Simone on
- 23:17Speaker 3: sevent ten wor.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Well, hey with us right now. The great writer, producer,
- 23:23Speaker 2: best selling author, and great comedy mind, Alan's y Belle.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Make sure you get his book, Laughlines. His biography is autobiography.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Laugh Lines is a great book. And of course follow
- 23:35Speaker 2: him on Twitter and Instagram and all that stuff. And
- 23:37Speaker 2: you know him from Curby Your Enthusiasm and Saturday Night
- 23:41Speaker 2: Live and a million other things. And he's with us now.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Alan's y Bell. How you doing.
- 23:46Speaker 3: I'm great, Mark, How are you?
- 23:47Speaker 2: I'm good. Hey, your friend Larry David. I didn't know
- 23:50Speaker 2: he was such a Knicks fan until I saw him
- 23:52Speaker 2: in the front row a couple of nights.
- 23:54Speaker 3: I got to tell you something. I've known him since
- 23:56Speaker 3: nineteen seventy three. I didn't know he was that great extent. Also, okay,
- 24:01Speaker 3: but when you're Larry David and you're in town and
- 24:04Speaker 3: you can diet courtside, why not you know? He and
- 24:09Speaker 3: the Post for a couple of days was quoting him
- 24:12Speaker 3: and his conversation with McEnroe and all of that. It
- 24:15Speaker 3: was so much fun to see him.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Yeah, some of those celebrities I think, are you know,
- 24:19Speaker 2: they're not relevant, so they know if they sit in
- 24:21Speaker 2: the front row suddenly they'll be relevant again. Like I
- 24:23Speaker 2: don't want to mention McEnroe or by whoever, but there
- 24:27Speaker 2: were a lot of guys that haven't done anything in
- 24:28Speaker 2: ten years sitting in the front.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Well, you know something, I think it's a perk of
- 24:34Speaker 3: being famous, or you know, I think it's worthy of
- 24:39Speaker 3: having their faces on TV. But I think you can
- 24:42Speaker 3: tell the fans from the people who are there, just
- 24:45Speaker 3: like cosmetically, I think.
- 24:46Speaker 2: You're right, yeah, And why would you want to sit
- 24:48Speaker 2: in that front row. I'm looking at the President Trump,
- 24:50Speaker 2: He's sitting in the suite. He's in this big leather reclient.
- 24:54Speaker 2: It looks so luxurious. Down on the floor, you're in
- 24:57Speaker 2: a folding chair getting sweat thrown all over you from
- 25:01Speaker 2: these players. Why would you want that?
- 25:03Speaker 3: You know, I've sat in the seats a number of times,
- 25:06Speaker 3: usually the guests of somebody. I couldn't do it myself, Okay,
- 25:10Speaker 3: so I would go with Billy Crystal. I would go
- 25:12Speaker 3: a million years ago, would guild a Rob Reiner. And
- 25:18Speaker 3: it's thrilling at first, and then you realize that you're knee.
- 25:22Speaker 6: High pull all the players that.
- 25:25Speaker 3: I'm going back and forth. You go, wait a second.
- 25:28Speaker 3: I'm not saying a lot of suff It's only when
- 25:32Speaker 3: they get down towards the other end of the court
- 25:35Speaker 3: that you see them do stuffing. You go, wait a second.
- 25:38Speaker 3: It's a better game at home. I can watch it
- 25:40Speaker 3: at home.
- 25:42Speaker 2: It's like NASCAR, you know. If people are sitting in
- 25:45Speaker 2: the front row. First of all, you go death all
- 25:46Speaker 2: that noise, but you can't see anything. You got to
- 25:49Speaker 2: be up high and look down to really understand what's happening.
- 25:52Speaker 3: So absolutely, and you're really high, and you look the
- 25:55Speaker 3: super Bowl. I've never been to a super Bowl, okay,
- 25:58Speaker 3: so maybe I'd like to experience one, but you know,
- 26:02Speaker 3: look the party the night before great, and you'd be
- 26:05Speaker 3: amongst all those fans and the hoopla of it. But
- 26:08Speaker 3: once again, if if you're home, you see it from
- 26:12Speaker 3: a thousand different angles, and there's replays and close ups
- 26:15Speaker 3: and whatever, you know, and you can also go to
- 26:18Speaker 3: the bathroom and not miss anything. So you know that's
- 26:22Speaker 3: where I am.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Oh Alan's webell. Last time we talked to you. We're
- 26:26Speaker 2: still working on the Rodney Dangerfield Broadway show. How's that coming?
- 26:31Speaker 3: Yes, I am. It's on hold right now because I've
- 26:33Speaker 3: finished No no, no, no, it's on hold because I
- 26:35Speaker 3: finished the latest draft and the producers are going over
- 26:39Speaker 3: it and I'm sure I'm going to get a battery
- 26:41Speaker 3: of notes. But you know, it's still viable. And I
- 26:45Speaker 3: also have a movie that I co wrote with Barry
- 26:49Speaker 3: Levinson that Barry's going to direct, so I think they
- 26:53Speaker 3: have the funding and now we're going to go out casting.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Oh great, now, Rodney Dangsfield. Everybody loves them on TV,
- 26:58Speaker 2: the funny, charming, you know, grandfatherly to Now, in real
- 27:02Speaker 2: life Rodney was quite a wild guy and a lot
- 27:06Speaker 2: different than that character. Is that going to be coming
- 27:08Speaker 2: out in this Broadway show?
- 27:10Speaker 3: It has to be in order to be honest, And
- 27:12Speaker 3: I think it helps his story that he overcame whatever
- 27:16Speaker 3: liabilities were in his life, whatever deficiencies there were, bad
- 27:21Speaker 3: parents and this and that, and for him to triumph
- 27:24Speaker 3: the way he did by using his comedy, I think
- 27:29Speaker 3: it's a very triumph and very very winning story.
- 27:32Speaker 6: So it has to be.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Yeah, but the Rodney, the wild Rodney. Is there going
- 27:37Speaker 2: to be a little of that in there too?
- 27:39Speaker 3: Yes? Sure, good, Sure. The producer bought the rights to
- 27:43Speaker 3: Rodney's autobiography, and in it, Rodney goes into great detail
- 27:49Speaker 3: about his not only his demons, but his vices. And
- 27:54Speaker 3: it's really interesting because I'll, you know, I'll run into
- 27:57Speaker 3: somebody and the we'll last me what I'm up to,
- 28:02Speaker 3: and I'll say, you know, I'll tell him about the
- 28:04Speaker 3: Rodney thing, and they'll go, oh, you're going to include
- 28:06Speaker 3: about how we walked around on the streets of New
- 28:09Speaker 3: York at noon with in pajamas. So people know this
- 28:13Speaker 3: stuff you know, so, yeah.
- 28:16Speaker 2: And often it was the bathrobe and he didn't quite
- 28:18Speaker 2: tie the thing around his waist enough.
- 28:21Speaker 3: I think that might have been on purpose, but I
- 28:23Speaker 3: don't know. I'm not sure.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Hey, everybody should follow Alan's wybel on Twitter. Good stuff there.
- 28:31Speaker 2: I see there's a picture you with Sebastian Manuscalco, who's
- 28:34Speaker 2: probably would you would you agree, maybe the biggest comedian
- 28:37Speaker 2: in the world right now stand up comedian?
- 28:39Speaker 3: Well yeah, I mean he's amongst them. You know, you
- 28:42Speaker 3: got John Mulaney, you know, you got Chappelle, but you
- 28:45Speaker 3: got certain guys who can fill out any venue for
- 28:49Speaker 3: multiple nights, and he's certainly high up there.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Yeah, but last time it was the Garden. It was
- 28:55Speaker 2: two shows a night for multiple nights. I don't know
- 28:58Speaker 2: anybody does two shows a night at the Garden.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Well, you know something. We went because I had not
- 29:02Speaker 3: seen him in person before, and we got these great seats.
- 29:06Speaker 3: We got a box the sixth throw and you look
- 29:09Speaker 3: behind you, and you look up and you look down
- 29:11Speaker 3: and you go, my god, this is Madison Square Garden.
- 29:15Speaker 3: And he did a show this afternoon and they held
- 29:18Speaker 3: him over a couple of nights. It's just unbelievable.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Now, explain his delivery to me. He's the funniest guy
- 29:24Speaker 2: in the world. It's fascinat because every comedian is louder,
- 29:26Speaker 2: they're aggressive or there. His delivery, his voice gets so
- 29:31Speaker 2: tiny at times. How does he do that?
- 29:34Speaker 3: I think you're absolutely right, Mark, There's a lot of
- 29:37Speaker 3: inflection and you can almost feel the words the way
- 29:41Speaker 3: that he delivers them.
- 29:42Speaker 9: You know, he.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Does this routine about going to a satyr for the
- 29:50Speaker 3: first time, where you sit down with a thousand people
- 29:54Speaker 3: and then you wait two hours to eat, and he
- 29:58Speaker 3: compares it to it Italian dinner that the minute is
- 30:01Speaker 3: any smell is wafting into that into that room, people
- 30:05Speaker 3: are like scavengers, and you know, and you know, and
- 30:10Speaker 3: not only is it true, but it's really really funny.
- 30:14Speaker 3: His attitude about it. There's a little hint of bewilderment,
- 30:18Speaker 3: you know. So I think that that's very, very uh infectious.
- 30:23Speaker 3: I think people respond to that.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know, any committee would be loud, like
- 30:27Speaker 2: Seinfeld will go two hours or Chris Rock two hours,
- 30:30Speaker 2: but he says two hours. It's very How does he
- 30:34Speaker 2: do that? It's a It's an incredible talent it's an.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Incredible talent and it's an incredible choice.
- 30:40Speaker 6: That he made.
- 30:41Speaker 3: I'm not saying that it's calculated. He could very well.
- 30:43Speaker 3: I never met him, so that could be his natural demeanor.
- 30:46Speaker 3: But it's in an era where people sometimes raise their
- 30:52Speaker 3: voice for emphasis. He went the other way, either naturally
- 30:55Speaker 3: or by design. And you listen in and you're not
- 30:59Speaker 3: and you not hit over the head by it.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fascinating. But hey, Ellen's HBO were you teaching
- 31:04Speaker 2: at Princeton?
- 31:06Speaker 3: I was teaching at Princeton, and next I guess about it.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Next spring, I'll be teaching at Columbia, teaching at Yeah,
- 31:16Speaker 3: it's it's a shorter driver. I live right over the
- 31:18Speaker 3: bridge in New Jersey, so you know. But it's one
- 31:22Speaker 3: day a week, and it was really interesting. It was
- 31:27Speaker 3: really interesting too, because these Princeton students. The course was
- 31:33Speaker 3: in something. All right, I hope you're sitting down. It's
- 31:36Speaker 3: called it was epistolary.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Literature Specialty too. What the hell is that?
- 31:43Speaker 3: No, No, no, I know it is. That's why I
- 31:44Speaker 3: brought it up. Well, what that means is any kind
- 31:49Speaker 3: of car It's correspondence, it's mail between two people and
- 31:54Speaker 3: that and you know what I mean. It's dialogue between
- 31:57Speaker 3: a letter writer and a letter receiver and back and fourth.
- 32:01Speaker 3: And they asked me if I would teach that. I said,
- 32:06Speaker 3: you bet, and then I googled what that meant after
- 32:10Speaker 3: I accepted the job. But it was fascinating for me.
- 32:15Speaker 3: The Princeton students look obviously they're really really smart. You know,
- 32:19Speaker 3: they go to Princeton for God's sake. It was a
- 32:21Speaker 3: past failed course. But the kids were so math oriented,
- 32:29Speaker 3: technology oriented, computers AI where there's an exactitude, okay, you
- 32:36Speaker 3: know two and two are always equals four. For me
- 32:39Speaker 3: to teach writing where they allowed to use their imagination,
- 32:45Speaker 3: go outside the lines, create something that doesn't exist right now.
- 32:50Speaker 3: It took about three or four classes for them to
- 32:52Speaker 3: loosen up a little bit. It was really fascinating.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Yeah that sounds great. Well we'll get back to this
- 32:58Speaker 2: next thing. We're out of time. But that's fascinating stuff.
- 33:01Speaker 6: Yea.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Everybody get Alan's White Bell's book, Laugh Lines. It's a
- 33:04Speaker 2: wonderful book with a lot of laughs and a lot
- 33:06Speaker 2: of great stories. And make sure you follow him on
- 33:09Speaker 2: Twitter and his Instagram is great, and go to Alan.
- 33:13Speaker 2: It's Allanswhitebell dot com. Right your website, Right, that's right,
- 33:16Speaker 2: Alanswhitebell dot com. Alan's ye Bell. Thanks for being with.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Us, Thanks for having me.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Mark take here, all right, take care. Hey, we've got
- 33:24Speaker 2: a lot coming up. Don't forget. Buck and Clay will
- 33:27Speaker 2: be here at noon today with a great show. Right
- 33:29Speaker 2: here on seven to ten wor back.
- 33:33Speaker 11: To marshamore on wor.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Hey, I got a lot to get to in the
- 33:41Speaker 2: next hour. We'll get back to the Knicks. We'll get
- 33:43Speaker 2: to the parade, which will bring to you live. Actually,
- 33:46Speaker 2: not the parade, the praise is not the important part.
- 33:48Speaker 2: The parade is just a ticker tape falling. But then
- 33:51Speaker 2: it ends at City Hall and that's where they'll have
- 33:53Speaker 2: the big ceremony. That's the part you want to hear.
- 33:55Speaker 2: So we'll broadcast that live at noon on Thursday. You
- 34:00Speaker 2: get to hear the whole ceremony from city Hall. Now,
- 34:04Speaker 2: don't go away, I'll be back right after the news.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Mark Simone here ten to noon every day on seven
- 34:09Speaker 2: to ten wr.
- 34:11Speaker 11: Always a step ahead of the news.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Here's more Mark Simone on seven to.
- 34:16Speaker 9: Ten wor.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Hey, it could be another beautiful day, bright sunny, beautiful day,
- 34:24Speaker 2: but gridlock alert day to day because of that FIFA stuff.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Is advantually watching this. I know around the world it's big,
- 34:32Speaker 2: but anybody here actually watching FIFA. I don't even like
- 34:37Speaker 2: to say FIFA. But the closing the forty second street
- 34:41Speaker 2: to regular traffic, it'll be all buses and all kinds
- 34:44Speaker 2: of stuff like that, so it will be a mess
- 34:48Speaker 2: a traffic wise. I don't even think of driving into
- 34:50Speaker 2: midtown Manhattan today. You're not going to want to do that. So, hey,
- 34:55Speaker 2: there was a terrorist plot. An FBI has done covered
- 35:00Speaker 2: this terrorist plot, very very serious plot to kill a
- 35:04Speaker 2: lot of people at the UFC fight at the White
- 35:08Speaker 2: House Sunday night. You know, there's a big crowd there
- 35:12Speaker 2: and a lot of big VIPs. The big, big crowd there.
- 35:17Speaker 2: They set up that the UFC cage thing, the ring
- 35:21Speaker 2: at the White House, and then they had invited a
- 35:24Speaker 2: big number of people. And if you look through the crowd,
- 35:27Speaker 2: not only will you see the cabinet all sorts of
- 35:29Speaker 2: top officials, but you'll see a lot of famous people
- 35:32Speaker 2: in that crowd, Mark Zuckerberg and a million other big names.
- 35:36Speaker 2: And they're not to mention a lot of anchor people,
- 35:39Speaker 2: a lot of I say, Greg Kelly from Newsmax, A
- 35:42Speaker 2: few other people I could see in these pictures here
- 35:46Speaker 2: a lot of Fox people so and a lot of
- 35:50Speaker 2: invited guests. Now, the FBI has arrested five people for
- 35:55Speaker 2: this terrorist plot. They say there are twenty three total
- 35:58Speaker 2: people connected to this. They haven't gotten the other eighteen
- 36:02Speaker 2: people yet, but it looks like the plot was involving drones.
- 36:08Speaker 2: The drones would fly over this event, you know, no
- 36:13Speaker 2: fly zone, but they would fly over anyway and do
- 36:17Speaker 2: something horrible which would cause everybody to run a stampede
- 36:22Speaker 2: out into the street where they had Supposedly the drones
- 36:27Speaker 2: would have them come out to a certain area and
- 36:30Speaker 2: then when the big crowd was in that area, snipers
- 36:32Speaker 2: would fire at the crowd. And apparently they're going to
- 36:35Speaker 2: have snipers staged already to go.
- 36:37Speaker 7: Now.
- 36:37Speaker 2: I can't imagine that the White House doesn't have some
- 36:40Speaker 2: kind of anti drone defenses that they could stop a drone.
- 36:44Speaker 2: I probably, I would think they can. And as far
- 36:50Speaker 2: as snipers hiding in the nearby surrounding blocks, I would
- 36:54Speaker 2: think they sweeped that pretty well. But this was a
- 36:57Speaker 2: pretty serious plot. Congratulations to butt Tell and the FBI.
- 37:02Speaker 2: For uncovering it again. Five arrests. They're looking for the
- 37:05Speaker 2: other twenty three. They believe, well, it was terrorism, but
- 37:09Speaker 2: they believe it was some kind of Muslim definitely anti
- 37:13Speaker 2: Semitic as some of the messages they found were very
- 37:16Speaker 2: very anti Israel. And from what they've found with these
- 37:20Speaker 2: five guys, with their writings, their messages, they believe that
- 37:23Speaker 2: this crowd would be a lot of billionaires who were
- 37:26Speaker 2: involved with Israel, to taking money from Israel or funding Israel,
- 37:30Speaker 2: that sort of stuff. So definitely terrorism, definitely anti Semitic stuff.
- 37:34Speaker 2: But it was busted up. The FBI was onto it.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Let's today sixteenth, June tenth, so they've been on it
- 37:43Speaker 2: for a week. Again, they've arrested five, they'll get the others.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Twenty three total they believe were involved in that. So
- 37:51Speaker 2: the Nicks celebrating everywhere. They were on Good Morning America,
- 37:56Speaker 2: they were on the Today Show, they were on Jimmy
- 37:59Speaker 2: Fallon whole Team. It's like when you got a big team,
- 38:02Speaker 2: you can split it up. You four guys do this show,
- 38:04Speaker 2: you four guys do that show. So it's pretty good.
- 38:07Speaker 2: They were all over town. The Coach last night, the
- 38:10Speaker 2: Polo Bar, the Rolf Loreenze Polo bar down there in
- 38:14Speaker 2: that basement. But when he walked in, everybody in the
- 38:18Speaker 2: restaurant stood. Standing ovation. That happens, at least happened at
- 38:22Speaker 2: George Steinbinner all the time, when he'd walk into a
- 38:25Speaker 2: Lanes or Fresco or wherever he went, or PJ. Clarks,
- 38:29Speaker 2: when he'd walk in after the victory, after the World Championship,
- 38:33Speaker 2: standing ovation. I remember going there once. This would have
- 38:37Speaker 2: been ninety eight. Bill Few, Gayzy Me, George Steinbinner, Donald Trump.
- 38:45Speaker 2: We walked into Fresco. They had won the World Series
- 38:48Speaker 2: a day before, and we walked into Fresco lunchtime. The
- 38:52Speaker 2: whole crowd stood and applauded standing ovation. Actually shouldn't say this,
- 38:58Speaker 2: but it's true, Trump said, waving, waving to the crowd,
- 39:03Speaker 2: And I said, I think it's for George. Oh, but
- 39:08Speaker 2: that happens. It's funny. The Yankees are playing tonight. You
- 39:13Speaker 2: don't even hear about it anymore. I don't even I'm
- 39:17Speaker 2: the biggest baseball fan of the world, never been a
- 39:19Speaker 2: basketball fan of my life. Now that's all I think
- 39:21Speaker 2: about is the Knicks. You don't paying attention after what
- 39:24Speaker 2: this Knicks series look like a baseball game. That seems
- 39:28Speaker 2: like nothing. Now the Mets it seems like nothing.
- 39:30Speaker 3: Now.
- 39:31Speaker 2: I never understood how basketball got so popular, but now
- 39:34Speaker 2: I have to. Having to watch a few of these games,
- 39:36Speaker 2: I'm starting to see it. It just keeps moving. I mean,
- 39:39Speaker 2: it's kind of repetitive. You know, they dribble this way,
- 39:41Speaker 2: then they drible that way, then they drible this way,
- 39:43Speaker 2: then they drivele that way. It's a little repetitive, but
- 39:48Speaker 2: it's it never stops moving. It's always moving. I could
- 39:51Speaker 2: see why in the Twitter world it became a bigger
- 39:54Speaker 2: sport because it never stops moving, whereas baseball, you know,
- 39:58Speaker 2: it's very slow. And I know they got these new rules.
- 40:01Speaker 2: You know, you can't you have to pitch within a
- 40:04Speaker 2: certain amount of time. But you know, he looks at
- 40:07Speaker 2: the he doesn't like the sign, nods his head and
- 40:09Speaker 2: the shakes his head and the catcher gives him another sign.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Now he throws and it's a ball, and he gets
- 40:17Speaker 2: the ball back. You know, he just fiddles around for
- 40:21Speaker 2: a while, the batter scratching him. So you gotta wait
- 40:23Speaker 2: through all this and then he throws again. You got
- 40:27Speaker 2: to change the rules of baseball to get rid of
- 40:29Speaker 2: all this stuff. And then the guy's on base, he
- 40:32Speaker 2: takes a little lead off. They throw a pitch over
- 40:34Speaker 2: the first base. He goes back, he takes a little
- 40:37Speaker 2: lead off. They throw another pitch over the first But
- 40:39Speaker 2: you gotta wait through all this stuff. Speed it up,
- 40:41Speaker 2: speed up the game, and make it more like a basketball.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Change the rules give her to that balls and strikes,
- 40:49Speaker 2: eliminate whatever it is. You got to swing, care what
- 40:52Speaker 2: it is, or do something more interesting, like if you
- 40:56Speaker 2: hit the batter, that's a strike now and to walk
- 41:00Speaker 2: make it a strike. That way, make the game much
- 41:03Speaker 2: much much more interesting. Hey, Epstein kills himself, and then
- 41:09Speaker 2: there's all that controversy for so long he was murdered. Now,
- 41:14Speaker 2: a lot of that came from the fact they believe
- 41:16Speaker 2: that Epstein knew about Bill Clinton and all these big zillionaires,
- 41:22Speaker 2: and they were all pedophiles, and they were all with
- 41:24Speaker 2: underage women. So of course he had to be killed
- 41:26Speaker 2: to silence. And well, we know now that it wasn't
- 41:29Speaker 2: all these guys with underage women with Bill Clinton. There
- 41:32Speaker 2: were women around, but they were all older. As far
- 41:35Speaker 2: as the young underage women, that was Epstein. Maybe a
- 41:40Speaker 2: couple of his friends, I think Prince Andrew, but that
- 41:43Speaker 2: was it, you know, the ninety nine point nine percent
- 41:45Speaker 2: of them. It was not women, it was and if
- 41:49Speaker 2: it was women like Bill Gates or Bill Clinton, it
- 41:51Speaker 2: was older women. So the motive to murder him really
- 41:56Speaker 2: isn't there anymore. And he did have a cell mate,
- 42:00Speaker 2: and the cell might is now telling prosecutors that Epstein
- 42:07Speaker 2: tried to kill himself a few times, that he was
- 42:10Speaker 2: figuring out a couple of times he tried making nooses,
- 42:13Speaker 2: He tried to coming up with different ways to hang himself.
- 42:17Speaker 2: So apparently, if you believe this guy, it's also a
- 42:20Speaker 2: remember at times people suspected this guy former cop. Actually
- 42:25Speaker 2: they suspected this guy of maybe being the killer. But
- 42:29Speaker 2: if it wasn't murder and it was suicide, then this
- 42:32Speaker 2: guy certainly wasn't guilty of anything. So but he is
- 42:36Speaker 2: testifying that a couple of times he in the cell
- 42:39Speaker 2: saw Epstein working on nooses and even asked him about
- 42:42Speaker 2: it a couple of times how to hang himself. Now,
- 42:45Speaker 2: if you're Epstein and you got arrested in years before,
- 42:50Speaker 2: and you hired Alan Derschwitz, and you hired all these
- 42:53Speaker 2: top lawyers, and you fought like crazy the case and
- 42:56Speaker 2: spent millions fighting the case. And this is a local
- 42:59Speaker 2: case on beach. He didn't beat it. He got convicted,
- 43:03Speaker 2: and he did go to prison a little. He was
- 43:05Speaker 2: in jail for a while briefly, and then he was
- 43:09Speaker 2: in a half way house and he had a sleep
- 43:10Speaker 2: in the halfway house for about a year every night.
- 43:14Speaker 2: So if you went through that and then years later
- 43:18Speaker 2: you get arrested again, only this time it's federal. This time,
- 43:24Speaker 2: it's much more serious. This time they got a lot
- 43:26Speaker 2: more stuff on you, and you know you're going to
- 43:28Speaker 2: go to real prison if you're a guy like Epstein,
- 43:32Speaker 2: and a guy he could have gone to prison for
- 43:34Speaker 2: the rest of his life. How old was he, I
- 43:38Speaker 2: don't know, Probably very late sixties, so it would have
- 43:41Speaker 2: been the rest of his life. A guy like that
- 43:45Speaker 2: probably would kill himself. He'd makes the decision. It's like
- 43:48Speaker 2: a calculated business decision. So I really want to spend
- 43:52Speaker 2: the rest of my life in prison or just end
- 43:54Speaker 2: it now. So you know, officially it's been declared it
- 43:58Speaker 2: was suicide, but it's looking more and more like that.
- 44:01Speaker 2: I know, the conspiracy theories, you know, those people that
- 44:05Speaker 2: believe in him, never stop believing no matter what. Hey,
- 44:08Speaker 2: Alan Dershowitz was his lawyer in two thousand and eight
- 44:14Speaker 2: in that case, and when Epstein was gonna go to
- 44:18Speaker 2: jail there he obviously had to tell Dershowitz anything and
- 44:23Speaker 2: everything he knew. Was he really a CIA agent? Was
- 44:28Speaker 2: he really helping the mazade? Was he really well? Of
- 44:30Speaker 2: course he had to tell Dershowitz all of this stuff
- 44:33Speaker 2: because he could have used it to beat the charge
- 44:36Speaker 2: or to get out of it. And Dershowitz said there
- 44:38Speaker 2: was nothing. He didn't have anything like that. There were
- 44:40Speaker 2: no government connections that really meant anything, no intelligence community connections.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Otherwise they would have traded to beat the charge. But
- 44:49Speaker 2: Dershwitz has asked over and over again to testify before
- 44:53Speaker 2: this Epstein committee that James Comer is running. So he
- 44:56Speaker 2: will testify. I think it's next week. But this is
- 44:59Speaker 2: Dershowitz asking for this. Every time he saw Comber, he
- 45:03Speaker 2: demanded that they call him as a witness. He said,
- 45:05Speaker 2: I was so close to this guy for a couple
- 45:08Speaker 2: of years. I know a lot of stuff. It's crazy
- 45:10Speaker 2: not to call me. So he will come testify. That's
- 45:15Speaker 2: going to be pretty interesting stuff. Hey Mom, Donnie about
- 45:23Speaker 2: the parade. It's this Thursday. Let me say, Harry is.
- 45:26Speaker 5: Part of the reason we're having this parade on Thursday
- 45:29Speaker 5: is to ensure the players have enough time to bring
- 45:31Speaker 5: their families because they've been working their entire life for this.
- 45:35Speaker 5: It may well be the largest parade in New York
- 45:37Speaker 5: City history, and I think that speaks to what this
- 45:39Speaker 5: team means to this city. It also speaks to fifty
- 45:42Speaker 5: three years of waiting.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Yeah, now, hopefully there's no violence. You know, you remember
- 45:49Speaker 2: after the victory on Saturday and that terrible violence and
- 45:53Speaker 2: buses set on fire, I mean real violence, ugly stuff.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Somebody got shot, there were a number of stabbings. You
- 45:59Speaker 2: can't have that kind of stuff. And unfortunately we got
- 46:03Speaker 2: this mayor and the police commissioner is trying, but she
- 46:07Speaker 2: doesn't have a lot of police experience. She really doesn't
- 46:11Speaker 2: have much at any police experience before becoming commissioner. Previously,
- 46:14Speaker 2: she had been in the police department for years, but
- 46:16Speaker 2: that was in an it job, not law enforcement. So
- 46:21Speaker 2: if you had a more experienced police commissioner, this would
- 46:24Speaker 2: have not happened. It would have gotten stopped quickly. You
- 46:27Speaker 2: would have had the riot squad ready to go. You
- 46:30Speaker 2: would have had the horses, the mounted unit. They can
- 46:33Speaker 2: break that up pretty fast. But you know, and again,
- 46:37Speaker 2: can't just blame her. This is Mom Donnie, you know
- 46:39Speaker 2: who doesn't like that kind of stuff. They had a
- 46:41Speaker 2: special squad, a riot squad, they could call it immediately.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Mom Donnie's been putting that to bed, getting rid of that.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Here's Mom Donnie on all the violence.
- 46:50Speaker 5: These kinds of threats, as you've said, from Tom Homan
- 46:52Speaker 5: and the federal administration, they're not new.
- 46:54Speaker 2: And wait, wrong clip, wrong clip. Now this is different.
- 46:57Speaker 2: This is here's a good example about Mom Donnie and
- 47:00Speaker 2: law enforcement. Mom Donnie, if there was some federal law
- 47:05Speaker 2: enforcement agency, We're going to come in and get a
- 47:08Speaker 2: bunch of criminals off your street, illegal immigrants, illegal aliens
- 47:13Speaker 2: who are committing crimes, gang members, robbers, rapist. Could you
- 47:17Speaker 2: imagine the mayor you got to deal with this. Imagine
- 47:20Speaker 2: if there was a federal law enforcement agency that would
- 47:23Speaker 2: come in and get all these people, arrest them, and
- 47:27Speaker 2: take them out of your city. Wouldn't you be so
- 47:29Speaker 2: grateful and thankful that there to be a federal agency
- 47:32Speaker 2: when you'd be sending thank you notes to the administration,
- 47:36Speaker 2: not Mom, Donnie. No, he wants to wants to get
- 47:38Speaker 2: rid of this. He wants those illegal criminals running around.
- 47:42Speaker 5: These kinds of threats. As you've said, from Tom Homan
- 47:44Speaker 5: and the federal administration, they're not new, and neither will
- 47:47Speaker 5: our response be. We continue to be proud of being
- 47:49Speaker 5: a sanctuary city, we continue to be ready to stand
- 47:52Speaker 5: up for our immigrant neighbors, and we continue to be
- 47:54Speaker 5: ready to use every single tool at our disposal.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Crazy. He's crazy. Guy says, I'll send in some troops
- 48:02Speaker 2: and they will round up the worst criminals and take
- 48:04Speaker 2: them out of your city. And he says, oh, I
- 48:07Speaker 2: will not be threatened like that. How dare you threaten
- 48:10Speaker 2: me like that? It's like if somebody said we're going
- 48:13Speaker 2: to come in here and clean up your studio and
- 48:15Speaker 2: vacuum and clean everything up. How dare you threaten me
- 48:19Speaker 2: with that? He's crazy, He's just crazy. But we're stuck
- 48:24Speaker 2: with him for how much longer? Three and a half
- 48:27Speaker 2: more years of this? Three and a half more years?
- 48:29Speaker 2: All right, we got through half a year. We'll see
- 48:32Speaker 2: what happens. Let me just check. A stock market is
- 48:37Speaker 2: way up. I think yep, yep, fifty two thousand. Just
- 48:42Speaker 2: check the price of oil oop, it's dropping even more,
- 48:45Speaker 2: down to seventy seven dollars a gallon. That's down from
- 48:49Speaker 2: like a one hundred and ten seventy seven a barrel.
- 48:52Speaker 2: It's down dramatically now before the war, it was in
- 48:56Speaker 2: the mid sixties. So we're getting pretty close to getting
- 48:59Speaker 2: back to where it was. That would be pretty amazing. Hey,
- 49:02Speaker 2: speaking of illegals and criminal illegals, and you know they
- 49:08Speaker 2: become robbers and rapists and gang members. And also it's
- 49:12Speaker 2: a big source of the drug business. Pete hegxith. Now
- 49:16Speaker 2: you got Homeman going after these drug cartel types and
- 49:20Speaker 2: arresting them on the streets. But Hexath now talking about
- 49:22Speaker 2: setting up a military operation to wipe out the cartels
- 49:26Speaker 2: back in Mexico or wherever they are.
- 49:28Speaker 13: It's called the America's Counter Cartel Coalition a Triple C,
- 49:31Speaker 13: and we're forming it with partner governments all around Central
- 49:34Speaker 13: and South America to go after, defeat, and destroy foreign
- 49:38Speaker 13: terrorist organizations, drug cartels, and all those countries you named
- 49:41Speaker 13: are stepping up to work on partnerships with the United States.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Wow, now Chris mom done. He would say, how dare you?
- 49:48Speaker 2: We will block you, block your effort to do I
- 49:52Speaker 2: don't know how we got in this How did we
- 49:54Speaker 2: get in this mess with these people. Anyway, we'll take
- 49:57Speaker 2: some calls. Next. Eight hundred three to two one zero
- 50:00Speaker 2: z seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 50:03Speaker 2: one zero seven ten.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Mark Zimo Live from the WR Life Back studio.
- 50:13Speaker 2: Hey, Yeah, let's say you can call its. Eight hundred
- 50:15Speaker 2: three to two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Let's go to Frank in Arizona. Frank, how you.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Doing, Hey, Mark?
- 50:22Speaker 10: Mark, I don't know if you remember. About two months
- 50:24Speaker 10: ago there was a story in the news where fifteen
- 50:27Speaker 10: agricultural drones were stolen and they never located, they never
- 50:30Speaker 10: found them. I wonder if it had anything to do
- 50:32Speaker 10: with these people that they were just trying to blow
- 50:34Speaker 10: up everything.
- 50:35Speaker 2: No, probably huge, probably not other huge.
- 50:37Speaker 10: Yeah, carry fertilizer and stuff, you know, but they're really big.
- 50:41Speaker 10: They could cause a.
- 50:41Speaker 12: Lot of damage.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Yah, And those were probably smaller drones. Iran is. Iran
- 50:45Speaker 2: has an amendous, tremendous stockpiles of drones, and Mark.
- 50:49Speaker 10: I just want to say I love what Donald Trump
- 50:51Speaker 10: did with Iran. I told all my friends. I said,
- 50:54Speaker 10: you gotta watch Godfather too. I'm gonna squeeze you Mitticoleon,
- 50:57Speaker 10: and that's what he did and got what he wanted.
- 50:59Speaker 3: Gods them, I.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Love them all right, But let's bear in mind. The
- 51:03Speaker 2: senator that said I intend to squeeze you ended up, ended, up,
- 51:08Speaker 2: ended up losing the battle. Remember he ended up in
- 51:10Speaker 2: all kinds of trouble.
- 51:11Speaker 10: Oh yeah in the end, yes, yeah, all.
- 51:14Speaker 2: Right, thanks. Yeah. Anything in life, anything in business, anything
- 51:19Speaker 2: in world affairs. You can find a line in The
- 51:21Speaker 2: Godfather that perfectly explains it. Let's go to Joe in
- 51:25Speaker 2: New Jersey. Joe, how you doing.
- 51:28Speaker 1: Hey, Mark? Yeah, great to hear your first time caller.
- 51:33Speaker 9: I listened to you every morning.
- 51:34Speaker 1: You're one of the most knowledgeable men on the radio
- 51:37Speaker 1: and anywhere.
- 51:38Speaker 2: I like the buttering up part, but there's a butt coming. Yeah,
- 51:41Speaker 2: go ahead.
- 51:43Speaker 1: If you ran for any office or anywhere, I would
- 51:46Speaker 1: vote for you because you're I love you.
- 51:48Speaker 6: You're one of my favorite.
- 51:49Speaker 2: Oh well, thanks. I am never running for any office.
- 51:51Speaker 2: I don't want anything to do with politics.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Mark, I want to I want to ask you one question,
- 51:57Speaker 1: just social security. Uh is it really going to be
- 52:01Speaker 1: over in thirty two or is it just scar enough
- 52:04Speaker 1: I rely on that.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Well, it's running out of money, yeah, and it's only
- 52:07Speaker 2: got a few years left. But the good news is
- 52:09Speaker 2: you got Donald Trump in office, you got Scott bessnt there.
- 52:12Speaker 2: You got a lot of people that will they will
- 52:15Speaker 2: not leave office unless they've done something to fix that.
- 52:17Speaker 6: Good.
- 52:18Speaker 9: Yeah, good Mark, great talking.
- 52:21Speaker 2: All right, thanks a lot, Thanks for calling, Joe. Yeah,
- 52:24Speaker 2: I would never ever go into politics. I can't imagine.
- 52:27Speaker 2: You know, when Ed Cotch lost, he was running for
- 52:31Speaker 2: a fourth term. He lost, he was so upset and
- 52:34Speaker 2: I remember talking him one day and I said, you're
- 52:36Speaker 2: going to love this. He said, well, why would I
- 52:38Speaker 2: love this? I said, because you're going to now do
- 52:40Speaker 2: just the fun parts of the job. You'll go on
- 52:42Speaker 2: TV shows, you'll make speeches, and you don't have to
- 52:46Speaker 2: go meet with the water Commission for an hour. You
- 52:48Speaker 2: don't have to go to a town hall in the Bronx,
- 52:50Speaker 2: you don't have to do the least fun stuff in
- 52:54Speaker 2: the job. And about a year later he said to
- 52:55Speaker 2: you know, you were right, He said, I just do
- 52:57Speaker 2: the fun things. I don't have to do all the boring,
- 53:01Speaker 2: you know, really really unfund boring things. So I don't
- 53:06Speaker 2: know why anybody goes like this G seven summit. Do
- 53:11Speaker 2: you really want to go talk to these world leaders?
- 53:13Speaker 2: They don't look like the most fun crowd in the world.
- 53:16Speaker 2: Doesn't look like a lot of fun going to this stuff.
- 53:19Speaker 2: Let's go to Michael on the East Side. Michael, how
- 53:22Speaker 2: you doing?
- 53:24Speaker 9: Hey, Mark, it's been a while.
- 53:27Speaker 6: In any event, guess who Obama had as his private
- 53:33Speaker 6: library opening?
- 53:36Speaker 2: Who shut him?
- 53:38Speaker 3: Shockton? Well, that's a.
- 53:40Speaker 9: Lot of that.
- 53:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's Obama. It's his library. And you're gonna invite
- 53:45Speaker 2: a lot of people, anybody and everybody. And Sharpton was
- 53:48Speaker 2: always around the Obama White House. You got to give
- 53:51Speaker 2: Sharpton credit for a guy who doesn't know what he
- 53:54Speaker 2: does for a living except shakedown companies and people, and
- 53:58Speaker 2: he manages to worm himself into everything. I mean, And
- 54:03Speaker 2: how long has he been at this? I think most
- 54:07Speaker 2: at least twenty five, you're thirty years or more. The
- 54:11Speaker 2: guy just knows how to worm his way into every
- 54:14Speaker 2: situation everywhere. Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how
- 54:19Speaker 2: you doing?
- 54:20Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark? Good morning?
- 54:21Speaker 11: Matter?
- 54:21Speaker 6: And what al Shopton does if you or me or
- 54:24Speaker 6: any other private citizen did it, you'd be arrested for
- 54:28Speaker 6: shaking down people. And we have Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer,
- 54:33Speaker 6: Mitch McConnell, and John Bainer to thank for the fact that,
- 54:37Speaker 6: as you pointed out in twenty thirty two, they're actually
- 54:41Speaker 6: going to reduce people social Security checks by twenty two percent. Mark.
- 54:46Speaker 6: My ears perked up when I heard once again this story,
- 54:49Speaker 6: about this official story that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide the
- 54:55Speaker 6: way there a legend he committed suicide before you're act unconscious. Uh,
- 55:02Speaker 6: it's got it's got to be very it's got to
- 55:05Speaker 6: be very, very miserable, and I think most people would
- 55:09Speaker 6: rather do it the easy way. About sixty years ago,
- 55:13Speaker 6: when I was a kid, there was a family in
- 55:15Speaker 6: the neighborhood and everybody knew it.
- 55:21Speaker 2: What we only have thirty seconds, all right, Well, their.
- 55:24Speaker 6: Main business was heroin dealing and on a large scale.
- 55:28Speaker 6: The head of the family got convicted. He was out
- 55:31Speaker 6: on bail before a sentence.
- 55:34Speaker 3: He put a shot.
- 55:35Speaker 6: He had a big party and everything, had all his
- 55:38Speaker 6: friends and this and that, and when nobody knew it,
- 55:42Speaker 6: when he was with his private self, he put a
- 55:45Speaker 6: shot into his head and blew his head off rather
- 55:47Speaker 6: than go to a joy for you.
- 55:49Speaker 2: I know, but you're in the middle. You're in jail already.
- 55:51Speaker 2: You can't get a gun in jail, or maybe you can.
- 55:53Speaker 6: Why not wait until they're transporting you to report? Jump out,
- 55:57Speaker 6: jump out the window, jump down the stairs. We'll do
- 56:00Speaker 6: something like that.
- 56:02Speaker 2: That's a good point, all right, Vincent, great call, Thanks
- 56:04Speaker 2: for coming. When we come back, Bill O'Reilly, we'll talk
- 56:07Speaker 2: to him next on seven to ten. Woor here's more.
- 56:11Speaker 1: Mark Simone on seven gen wor Well.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly the number one TV anchor for decades, the
- 56:19Speaker 2: number one best selling nonfiction author on Earth.
- 56:22Speaker 3: Hey.
- 56:22Speaker 2: By the way, his new book is coming out, Confronting America.
- 56:25Speaker 2: What a book. It's about to come out. Also, if
- 56:28Speaker 2: you go to Bill O'Reilly dot com and get everything there,
- 56:30Speaker 2: you can get the TV show, the column, you can
- 56:33Speaker 2: get his podcast We'll do it Live. You can get
- 56:36Speaker 2: a link to everything there. Of course, his YouTube channel's
- 56:38Speaker 2: got great stuff on it. Just go to Bill O'Reilly
- 56:41Speaker 2: dot com. You'll find everything there. Bill O'Reilly, how you.
- 56:44Speaker 3: Doing the hanging up there?
- 56:47Speaker 9: Mark?
- 56:47Speaker 2: Are you good? Hey? The new book Confronting America? When
- 56:50Speaker 2: can people pre order that.
- 56:53Speaker 9: Now going to Bill O'Reilly dot com and uh, you know,
- 56:58Speaker 9: it's easy.
- 56:58Speaker 1: To pre order it.
- 56:59Speaker 9: Sign book, it's a little harder because I can't sign
- 57:03Speaker 9: twenty five thousand books. So if you want to sign
- 57:06Speaker 9: you have to get those orders in early.
- 57:10Speaker 2: All right, we'll go to billary dot com. The new
- 57:12Speaker 2: book Confronting America. I think you told us about what
- 57:16Speaker 2: it's about. Tell us again, Well.
- 57:19Speaker 9: One has to improve to make the country stronger. Let
- 57:23Speaker 9: me give you example. So we have this gathering of
- 57:28Speaker 9: strength by the socialist communists in the United States, and
- 57:35Speaker 9: not since the nineteen thirties have we seen this. Yet
- 57:39Speaker 9: the media disguises it. They're not telling you that. Look,
- 57:45Speaker 9: these people like Bernie Sanders AOC, the people in California
- 57:50Speaker 9: run the shows, they're people in Seattle and Domi. They're communists,
- 57:57Speaker 9: and communists don't believe in private property. That's the big key.
- 58:03Speaker 9: So if that's going to be accepted, our whole country
- 58:07Speaker 9: turns around and it's not the same country. And the
- 58:10Speaker 9: strides that this progressive left socialist movement has made in
- 58:15Speaker 9: the past ten years have been extraordinary. It's almost like
- 58:19Speaker 9: the Nazi movement in Germany. So in the late nineteen twenties,
- 58:23Speaker 9: nobody thought this nut hitler was going to be anything.
- 58:28Speaker 9: But they kept gathering strength, gathering power, doing untoward things,
- 58:34Speaker 9: and finally he used the dictator. Now that I don't
- 58:39Speaker 9: believe will happen in America, but that's the road assemble power.
- 58:47Speaker 9: And we live in a state where you're seeing that
- 58:50Speaker 9: right before your eyes. Mandanni never got elected ten years ago.
- 58:55Speaker 9: Ever in a million years, that's just one decade. So
- 59:00Speaker 9: that's of the book is about it. We have to
- 59:03Speaker 9: change these specific things in order to make our country strong,
- 59:10Speaker 9: in order for you to prosper. You know, it pains
- 59:15Speaker 9: me that so many Americans are so ignorant of economics,
- 59:20Speaker 9: for example, and then they don't have any stocks. Were
- 59:24Speaker 9: don't recognize stock market today, they don't have any stocks. Well,
- 59:29Speaker 9: what do you think is going to happen? What they
- 59:32Speaker 9: want to happen is somebody could come to their door
- 59:34Speaker 9: hand of money. That's communism. But they don't end you
- 59:39Speaker 9: a lot of money. They hand you just enough money
- 59:41Speaker 9: so you don't start to death. And so this is
- 59:46Speaker 9: the theme of the book, what has to change in America?
- 59:49Speaker 2: So this whole movement was this carefully plotted over decades
- 59:52Speaker 2: by Soros types, by communists, China financing it. And was
- 59:57Speaker 2: this all one thirty year plot that's going on?
- 1:00:01Speaker 9: Yeah? No, I wrote a book back in two thousand
- 1:00:05Speaker 9: and two called Culture Warriors. I can't believe that it
- 1:00:10Speaker 9: was twenty four years ago. I wrote that book, and
- 1:00:14Speaker 9: the culture were warning. A book laid out what the
- 1:00:17Speaker 9: desire was from the Jane Fondas and the far left
- 1:00:23Speaker 9: koops who wanted a different country. You don't respect America
- 1:00:29Speaker 9: the way it is, don't think it's a noble nation.
- 1:00:32Speaker 9: And when I wrote the book, I said, this is
- 1:00:35Speaker 9: what they want, but I never thought they would get it.
- 1:00:40Speaker 9: And now they're control New York State, Illinois, Washington State, California.
- 1:00:49Speaker 9: Progressives control those states, Maine, Maine. I mean, and I'm
- 1:00:56Speaker 9: looking at them, going, you know, the people are going
- 1:00:59Speaker 9: to have to start to whiny up and rise up
- 1:01:02Speaker 9: to stop this, or you're really going to be a
- 1:01:05Speaker 9: world to hurt ten years from town.
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: So when I say Chinese communists the source. Over the years,
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: they've changed our universities, changed the faculty to radical professors,
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: They've raised generations to vote for this stuff. How do
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: you ever undo that?
- 1:01:21Speaker 9: The Chinese situation is another Cold War. We defeated the
- 1:01:30Speaker 9: Soviet Union and the Cold War, we have another Cold
- 1:01:33Speaker 9: War with China. But it's and China contributes billions of
- 1:01:38Speaker 9: dollars to undermining our capitalistic system. I mean, there's a
- 1:01:43Speaker 9: guy in Shanghai who's pumping all this money in and
- 1:01:47Speaker 9: you would think the Justice Department be all over this guy,
- 1:01:51Speaker 9: and they are. He can't come to the United States,
- 1:01:53Speaker 9: They'll they'll arrest them. But you know this guy, people
- 1:01:57Speaker 9: don't know his name, and he is the spear point
- 1:02:03Speaker 9: of getting far left money into America undermine our system.
- 1:02:09Speaker 9: Now the Chinese, our government obviously wants that to happen,
- 1:02:14Speaker 9: but they have one vulnerability the Soviet Union did not have,
- 1:02:18Speaker 9: and that is they have to feed one point five
- 1:02:20Speaker 9: billion people. The Soviet Union, it was a decentralized situation.
- 1:02:26Speaker 9: If you live in Siberia, well you take care of yourself,
- 1:02:31Speaker 9: all right, and if you can't get enough food, you die.
- 1:02:36Speaker 9: That was salent. In China, it's more of a collective.
- 1:02:42Speaker 9: You know, we don't want the people rising up against us,
- 1:02:46Speaker 9: so we got to feed them. And that makes China's
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: economy very important to it.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: Yeah, Bill all right, before we run out of time.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: The Iran deal, I don't know anybody that really loves it.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Is it basically just punting? Is that what it is?
- 1:03:01Speaker 11: No?
- 1:03:02Speaker 9: I mean, I can't really analyze the deal until I
- 1:03:05Speaker 9: see it, and you know, we're not going to see
- 1:03:09Speaker 9: it till Thursday or Friday. With the wording is in it.
- 1:03:14Speaker 9: It's funny because the Europeans are all jumping up and down,
- 1:03:18Speaker 9: slapping Trump on the back, saying way to go. Yeah,
- 1:03:22Speaker 9: and then I mean, all across the board, Europe loves it,
- 1:03:26Speaker 9: whereas the American media is trying to undermine it. Isn't
- 1:03:30Speaker 9: that interesting? So Europe says, thanks the American media, and
- 1:03:37Speaker 9: of course the Democratic Party, because Democratic Party knows if
- 1:03:41Speaker 9: the deal turns out to be good that the midterms
- 1:03:45Speaker 9: that's going to sway it a little bit. Anyway, So
- 1:03:49Speaker 9: I'm watching that story, but nobody knows what's in the
- 1:03:53Speaker 9: actual treaty or deal, whatever you want to call it.
- 1:03:59Speaker 9: But you don't put that stuff out until you got
- 1:04:03Speaker 9: the guy with the pen in his hand, because you
- 1:04:06Speaker 9: don't want to queer the deal. I mean, that's doesn't
- 1:04:10Speaker 9: do it. Pride months it's a phrase, all right, you
- 1:04:13Speaker 9: don't want to give anybody anything where they could blow
- 1:04:16Speaker 9: it up at the last minute. And that's what the
- 1:04:19Speaker 9: Trump administration is doing. But then you know, within five minutes,
- 1:04:25Speaker 9: CNN is jumping up and down. Oh they won't show
- 1:04:27Speaker 9: us the deal. They won't show us. I can wait
- 1:04:29Speaker 9: till Thursday.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Hey, if bell o'riley's got a new podcast, Well, not
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: that new. It's been out for many weeks now, a

- 1:04:46Speaker 2: a character, isn't he.
- 1:04:47Speaker 9: Yeah, it is. It was an interesting interview with Scaramucci,
- 1:04:50Speaker 9: who's turned into a very h vitriolic Trump critic. And
- 1:04:55Speaker 9: I want to get into why, well, and we did.
- 1:05:00Speaker 9: We did get into that. We got Gene Simmons coming up. Yeah,
- 1:05:06Speaker 9: he's hysterical. We got Glenn Beck coming up. I mean,
- 1:05:10Speaker 9: you know, this thing is really taken off, which I
- 1:05:14Speaker 9: have no idea about YouTube or any of the tubes
- 1:05:17Speaker 9: and the tiktoks. I don't know, but my staff telling
- 1:05:21Speaker 9: me that this is huge.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's doing very well. It's a great podcast. You

- 1:06:16Speaker 2: goes up to City Hall. The parade is just a
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: lot of waving and ticker tape. Now, the interesting part
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: is when they get to City Hall. That's where they
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: do the speeches, the awards, the whole thing. That's the
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: part you want, you want to you want to be
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: in on, and we're gonna broadcast it live right here
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: on w o R starting at noon. We'll cover the
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: whole thing. So I wouldn't go down there. It's going
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: to be a mess. You're not going to get anywhere
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: near there. You're going to be in a million people.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: You're going to be far back. But just put on
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: the radio at noon on Thursday you can hear the
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: whole ceremony with the Knicks noon on seven to ten
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: w O or Hey, And don't forget, Curtis is back
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: every weekday morning it's Curtis Sliwa Larry Mente six to ten,

- 1:07:29Speaker 2: be all those special buses and things that there's closing
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: a lot of roads for the buses. It's gonna be
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: a mess. Do not drive into midtown Manhattan today. The
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: FIFA stuff is all day today. I think they stop
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: all this about eight o'clock tonight. So you're gonna have
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: the big parade, the Knicks parade Thursday. As I said,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: we'll bring you the ceremony live here at noon on
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: wor Let me see. The stock market still all time high.

- 1:08:10Speaker 2: I'll be back tomorrow, talk to you then. Seventy ten
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: wr
