- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Today's show is brought to you by Independence Day, celebrating America's three favorite things.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Freedom, alcohol, and explosives.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: A noisemaker right here, boys.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Whoa! It is our Friday.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Can I tell you, besides the fact that I have to tell you that we have this going on.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Mega Hato! Can I tell you yesterday uh a little bit about what happened, why I was not here?
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, I thought you were going on the garbage plate world tour in Rochester.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: Did not do that, but something that we talked about about a week ago did rip through my mind yesterday.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna set the world straight on that if I get there in this segment.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: If I get there, it might be a minute.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: It'll be other segments, which are always on demand, by the way.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: And always today, all over the place.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: This is our Friday.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: We have three days off.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: You don't know what you're gonna hear, but you'll have three days to forget about it, unless you listen on demand, in which case you can complain later.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Then forget about it.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Forget about it.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Forget about it.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: Just for the transparency factor of this, but without giving too much information.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: So mobotomy.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: Uh Tiffany uh and and and the colonoscopy at the same time.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: They went top and bottom and met in the middle.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: It was great.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: I was like, uh, anywho.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: So Tiffany has a few medical things, nothing that's going to like take her life or or end her life early.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Good.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: But it's how would I get my diet coke fixed?
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: You and any minute now we're gonna hear, do you guys get breakfast yet?
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: And that'll mean a diet coke will show up.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: You just know how it works.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Um, can I pause for one second?
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: Well, sure.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, but this is really important.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: So Tiffany uh loves Diet Coke, I love Diet Coke, and she'll come in to visit.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: I don't know how you have managed this, but she brought you breakfast this week.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: And I was like, wow, he has it dang good.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, I do.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: So she anytime she visits, she brings a Diet Coke.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: So now let me say this Dollar Tree.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: I saw this on TikTok last night.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Dollar Tree has Diet Coke merchandise.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Haven't actually seen it with my own two eyeballs, but come on now.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: It's a hot commod right now.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: Yes, every single time.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: And I just abbreviated a word for you, the commod.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: So anybody else who's a Diet Coke girly, find it and please DM me.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: But I'm not sure if you're not.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: I'm looking for a keychain that says Diet Coke.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Looks like an old hotel room or motel keychain, you know, the the chain.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: You know, the kind of weird diamond-y looking thing.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think I got that at a Hobby Lobby, but I do want to see what Dollar Tree has.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: Back to back to Tiffany uh has some some stuff, but it's not gonna kill her.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: No, and she does an extremely good job of advocating for herself in the medical uh well, I mean, because she's in the business too.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: I think she does an exceptional job of advocating and going further than the average person would.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: A lot of times you go to the doctor, you know that you're, you know, your arm's hanging on by a thread, and they're like, Oh, give it two weeks, and you're gonna be like, okay, the doctor said two weeks.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: But in reality, you're like, it's hanging on by a thread here.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: Should I get a second opinion?
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: Well, you know your body more than anyone else.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: So she uh she actually this was so interesting.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: She had gotten a referral to get genetic testing.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: And this is fascinating because I she doesn't think her mommy's her mommy?
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: No, one of the questions.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: And it was a long questionnaire.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: One of the questions, and I I can't I can't be serious at a doctor's office.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Oh, really?
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: No, I can't.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: And and I even get a speaking to from, and it's not just Tiffany, it's been anybody in my life.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: I'll get a talking to because I can't hold it together.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Are you talking to the guy next to you in the waiting room?
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Like, hey, do you have a excuse me, something just fell on my foot?
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: So I you here for that, Goiter?
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: I I cannot, yeah.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: I no, I'm in there.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: And this was where it was interesting.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: The questionnaire that they go through, super likely, it must have been about a half hour of questions, but they go so deep.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: Then at the end, and I'll I'll come back to I told you I got the lobotomy and the proc and the colonoscopy met in the middle.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: Uh so they yeah, so they go through all this stuff.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: Then this other girl comes in and she goes, Okay, you qualify for genetic testing.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Now, this is a really interesting field.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: We believe there to be about 22,000 genes that are our roadmap.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: We've got about 11,000 of them that we know of, and we've got, you know, X amount that are mastered, and then they're gonna test like 94 of them for her.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: And I I even told the girl, I go, Does she the master gene?
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: You you you think I go, you think about this.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: This was the lady from the the clinic after very thorough.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: I mean, like questions I guarantee you've never been asked by a doctor.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: Can you give me one or no?
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm gonna come to the one that that really almost got me in trouble.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: And uh and and and I go, you think about this.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: This technology is so new.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: It really was after the second world war that they would have even started the beginning stages to figure out this science.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: So we're talking under a hundred years, and we've come that far.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: She goes, it's incredible.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: She goes, if you want a career of lifetime of learning, this is the career to be in.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's so funny.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, think about even like whenever I listen to my true crime stuff, DNA testing came way later.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's it's essentially new science.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: Okay, so it was fascinating.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: So, one of the questions on the questionnaire Are your mother and father of any blood relation?
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: I can honestly tell you, my parents aren't, even though my dad is from West Virginia, but I do know somebody who it was like their six cousins once removed or something.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Something stupid like that.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: So after that question comes up, uh huh, which is a clear no, yeah.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: What does Scott do?
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I got it.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: I I can't stay quiet.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: I can't stay serious.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: I go, well, if that answer was yes, I'm betting this uh testing would be over with real quick, we'd know the answer.
