- 2:02So when I say the truth, I'm going to be discussing about the pros and cons of conventional medicine today.
- 2:08And then our next podcast, I'm going to be discussing the pros and cons of functional medicine, because you need to know, you need to know you have options out there.
- 2:16You need to know what type of medicine.
- 2:19You need to educate yourself.
- 2:20You need to educate your loved ones.
- 2:22You need to really understand that.
- 2:24What am I getting myself into?
- 2:26Because many people will come to me and say, well, I saw my doctor.
- 2:30I didn't like the treatment we received.
- 2:32In the conventional space, or I spent thousands of dollars higher on the functional medicine doctor.
- 2:38And I didn't like the treatment either.
- 2:41And I felt like it was a waste of time.
- 2:42Waste of money, waste of everything.
- 2:45Not knowing that not all doctors are created equal.
- 2:49Yes.
- 2:49I am a strong advocate for functional medicine, but I'm also aware that not all functional medicine doctors are the best.
- 2:58We have some excellent conventional medicine that goes out there.
- 3:02They are passionate about helping people.
- 3:05We also have some that are burnt out that are overwhelmed.
- 3:08We also have some that came in into the profession for the money.
- 3:12We also have some digest tide of the whole.
- 3:14The Roxy of the whole management system.
- 3:19And they feel like they can't really do much because Hey, the livelihood is depends on the money they make in, but we have good, we have bad.
- 3:28We have like wonderful people, wonderful doctors in every single medicine.
- 3:34So when I am talking about conventional medicine, when I am.
- 3:38Shedding light on the cons.
- 3:40And also the pros.
- 3:42I don't want you to get upset.
- 3:44If you're a doctor listening to this podcast or watching this YouTube channel.
- 3:48If you watch it in the video portion of this.
- 3:50I don't want you to get upset.
- 3:52I am bringing to you the truth.
- 3:54And many of you, when you start listening to this, you will resonate with many things that I'm going to say today, because I was the conventional doctor who did exactly.
- 4:05When I'm going to talk to you about.
- 4:07That was me.
- 4:09Now it was me.
- 4:10I was the conventional doctor who was all about, Hey, let's see, 20 patients today.
- 4:15Let's do the bare minimum.
- 4:17Let's just give them the medication.
- 4:19Let's just send them out.
- 4:20Let's just admit them.
- 4:22Let's just refer them out.
- 4:23Like.
- 4:24I don't know what else to do for you.
- 4:26The conventional doctor, let me just.
- 4:28Give you a note, go see the next doctor.
- 4:30Maybe he or she can help you.
- 4:31If that one cannot help you then go to the next doctor.
- 4:34So I'm not here to judge any doctors to criticize anyone.
- 4:39I'm just letting you know, this is what it is.
- 4:42At least when I was practicing in the conventional space.
- 4:44That's what it was.
- 4:45And I know for sure today, with the way medicine is going, right.
- 4:51It is getting worse because not only I hear it for my patients, I also hear it for my colleagues, how unhappy, unsatisfied, and unfulfilled they are.
- 5:01And I also hear it from loved ones, family members.
- 5:05So I am going to be discussing today.
- 5:08All the things that many of us are faced with.
- 5:11If you.
- 5:12Can find it in your heart to agree.
- 5:15Or disagree.
- 5:16To one or two things.
- 5:17This is the podcast for you.
- 5:19Again, there's no judgment.
- 5:21The prepared patient podcast is not to judge people.
- 5:24Okay.
- 5:25Is to give you the patient, the caregiver, the loved ones.
- 5:28And it's also a podcast where I can just bring all my expertise to help you navigate, to help you make decisions.
- 5:35Because I'm all about personal power.
- 5:38I am all about weight gain in your house back.
- 5:41I'm all about being in charge of what matters to you, the most important aspect of your life.
- 5:47Which is your health?
- 5:49This is what this podcast is, to empower you to open your eyes and to let you know, Nope, you don't have to deal with this specific situation the way it has, you know, you've been dealing with it.
- 5:59You in charge.
- 6:01It is your health.
- 6:01It is your life.
- 6:02Whatever involves you, you in control.
- 6:05All right.
- 6:06So if that wasn't it with you.
- 6:08And new, ready to listen to the cons and the pros, let's get started.
- 6:12Before we dig in, let's talk about my personal reasons for using conventional medicine and why do we need to use it?
- 6:20Because we have space for both.
- 6:21We have space for conventional.
- 6:23We also have space for functional holistic integrative medicine.
- 6:28Conventional medicine to me.
- 6:30My personal philosophy, my beliefs.
- 6:33It's only to be used in an emergency situation.
- 6:38If you have a heart attack, you having a heart attack, you have a stroke.
- 6:41Please go to the conventional space.
- 6:44Go to the emergency room, you're going to get the most.
- 6:47The proper care.
- 6:48If you have a laceration.
- 6:51Please go.
- 6:53Go to an urgent care and to go get suited at an urgent care.
- 6:56If you have in a panic attack and you don't have any thing going on, like.
- 7:01You don't have any coping mechanism and you don't know why you having a panic attack and is increasing.
- 7:06Please go to the urgent care or the emergency room.
- 7:10They'll give you some medication to stabilize you.
- 7:12If you haven't allergic reaction.
- 7:14Anaphylactic shock where your throat is closing on you.
- 7:18Your mouth is swollen up.
- 7:20Like you cannot breathe.
- 7:21Okay, this is not a space for functional medicine.
- 7:24You need to go see a doctor.
- 7:26You need to go to conventional doctor.
- 7:28You need to go to an urgent care.
- 7:30You need to go to the emergency room.
- 7:32To me, these are the most important reasons for us to use conventional medicine in an emergency situation for serious illnesses, you need to use.
- 7:41Conventional medicine.
- 7:44If you have in a acid reflux.
- 7:47Or you have gas bloat.
- 7:48Oh, you have headaches migraine, or you have joint pain or other.
- 7:54Non serious.
- 7:55Photo.
- 7:56Conditions you don't need conventional medicine.
- 8:01That's where holistic integrative medicine comes into place.
- 8:06Okay.
- 8:06Because at the end of the day, we're all about identifying the root cause of your headaches and migraine.
- 8:12Have your acid reflux of your chronic fatigue of your brain fog.
- 8:16Of your bloat.
- 8:18And not just take a pill and patch it up, put an abandoned on it.
- 8:23We don't want to do that.
- 8:25So conventional medicine has this beautiful use.
- 8:29I highly recommend for the proper usage of it.
- 8:33But when it comes to really healing your body, At the cellular level at the deep core.
- 8:39I don't think conventional medicine is going to do that for you.
- 8:41As a matter of fact, I know conventional medicine will not help you.
- 8:44Because.
- 8:44With conventional medicine, we get in a pill.
- 8:46Right.
- 8:47Let's that with the pros.
- 8:49Pro of conventional medicine, it is easily accessible.
- 8:53There's a doctor everywhere at every single corner.
- 8:57They are thousands and millions and millions of doctors.
- 9:00So conventional medicine.
- 9:02I can be easily accessible.
- 9:03You have a headache.
- 9:04You can go see a doctor.
- 9:05It is.
- 9:06The most common medicine and all of us, including myself, have been evaluated or treated by a conventional doctor and that's the first thing we think of when we have aches and pains.
- 9:18I have palpitations.
- 9:19Anxiety.
- 9:19Let me call my doctor.
- 9:20And you say, let me call my doctor.
- 9:23You are referring to conventional.
- 9:24Medicine.
- 9:25You can just Google one that is closer to you.
- 9:28You pick up the phone, you schedule an appointment and you go.
- 9:31So it is the most easily accessible.
- 9:33Okay.
- 9:33And the doctors.
- 9:35Highly trained.
- 9:36Right.
- 9:36We have specialists for every single part of our bodies.
- 9:39You have a specialist.
- 9:41Where your brain.
- 9:42Your heart, your lungs, your eyes, your ears, your pancreas, your stomach, your.
- 9:48Your GI issues.
- 9:49And you have specialists for every single part.
- 9:51Because in the conventional space or Western medicine space, we don't see the body as a whole.
- 9:57That we don't.
- 9:58That is why.
- 9:58When you go to your primary care doctor, can only do the bare minimum for you.
- 10:03And it's going to refer you out to the specialist.
- 10:07If you have diabetes, you go see an endocrinologist.
- 10:10But if whatever the primary care doctor is doing for you is not managing your disease.
- 10:15Your.
- 10:15Illness, then he, or she will refer you to the specialist that takes care of that organ all day long.
- 10:21So.
- 10:21Again, that can be a con conventional medicine is not seen as a holistic medicine.
- 10:27It's like pieces of the puzzle.
- 10:29For every single piece of the puzzle, you go see the expert.
- 10:33I'm not a pool of conventional medicine.
- 10:35It is covered by insurance.
- 10:37Many except insurance.
- 10:39What is in network or out of network or Medicare or charity care.
- 10:44And she wants to cover part of it.
- 10:46Because as we know now, and she was as uncovered everything anymore because our half care is so expensive right now it's a billion dollar industry and she wins companies fill.
- 10:56They losing money.
- 10:57So they have a lot more denial.
- 10:59Right, which we'll talk about in a few, but you can get some of your care covered by insurance, whether you have Medicaid, charity care, but conventional medicine is covered by insurance.
- 11:12So, therefore there's no huge out of pocket expenses.
- 11:15You're not paying your doctor thousands of dollars.
- 11:18Upfront.
- 11:19You're not doing that because it is covered by insurance.
- 11:21You might have.
- 11:22Copay.
- 11:23$20 copay,$25 copay, 65.
- 11:26There's a copay, but you're not giving them hundreds of dollars.
- 11:30Unless.
- 11:31Your care is not covered by insurance, then yes, you will have to pay the bill.
- 11:36Your insurance company is denying it.
- 11:38Yes.
- 11:38You will have to find a few thousands of dollars, hundreds of dollars.
- 11:42But generally.
- 11:43It's governed by insurance.
- 11:45Also covers some of your medications.
- 11:47Some because I'm hearing from patients now that all the medications are not fully covered sometimes you might have to pay something out of pocket for that medication.
- 11:56So these are the pros, like the good of conventional medicine.
- 12:00It is easily accessible.
- 12:02You are dealing with highly trained the specialist.
- 12:04You can find a conventional doctors in every single corner.
- 12:08There are thousands of them.
- 12:09That is the first space we go to when we have aches and pains or when we don't understand what's going on in our bodies, it is covered by insurance.
- 12:16So therefore the financial burden is not a hundred percent on you.
- 12:20You don't have to find the money, a lot of money right away to pay your doctor.
- 12:24Many doctors take.
- 12:26You know, Medicaid and charity care.
- 12:28There's no huge out of pocket expense.
- 12:30So you only have to focus about paying your copay.
- 12:33And some of my.
- 12:34Medications that are prescribed by a doctor is also covered by insurance.
- 12:39Ah, let's talk about the cons.
- 12:40I have quite a few.
- 12:42Quite a few of the ugliness of conventional medicine.
- 12:47And again, if you listen to this podcast and you will resonate with at least three or five of them, Because these have been collected from hearing from my patients again, from being a conventional participant myself, I used to do all of this.
- 13:02And my patients are reporting similar.
- 13:04Information to me.
- 13:06Okay.
- 13:06So the first one is shorter visit.
- 13:08Yes.
- 13:09When you go to see your doctor.
- 13:11They are not spending hours with you.
- 13:13It's not happening unless you get a surgical procedure.
- 13:17Your conventional doctor, your primary care doctor, they have shorter visits.
- 13:21You might spend minutes, a lot of maybe an hour waiting in the waiting area, but they showed a visit.
- 13:27There's no real human relationship or connection with your doctors.
- 13:30It is where we are now for a doctor to remember you because they are helping so many patients.
- 13:36They might remember you.
- 13:37If you come often.
- 13:39Right.
- 13:39If you keep coming back and keep coming back and keep asking questions, you keep looking for answers.
- 13:44Telling her doctor I'm still feeling the same way.
- 13:47I still have to pay on this.
- 13:48Medications are not working.
- 13:49Please help me then yes, the doctor might remember you, but if you do your yearly visit, Or you go twice per year.
- 13:56Then they don't remember you.
- 13:57And most often, if your doctor's in a group practice where you have to see multiple doctors within the group, that definitely know.
- 14:06Recognize you, because today my see Jane next time you go.
- 14:08You're going to see Mary or my see Dr.
- 14:11Joe.
- 14:12So you seen multiple practitioners and this practitioner has to rely on the information on your chart to remember you to remember your specific health issues or situation.
- 14:23Right.
- 14:23So patients are not being heard or listened to.
- 14:26You know how many times.
- 14:27My patients would tell me without the J I tried to explain to the doctor.
- 14:31I tried to explain to them that the what's going on with me when this thing started.
- 14:34They're not listening to me.
- 14:36When I talk to the doctor, I'm not headed for a pill.
- 14:38They just dismiss me.
- 14:39I feel like I am.
- 14:40Like a dummy belittled.
- 14:42So, not only, they're not listening to me, but I felt so dumb.
- 14:46I feel uneducated.
- 14:47You know how many times I hear that.
- 14:48If I have a penny, then I'll be rich by now.
- 14:52Before all the time I hear this story.
- 14:54Which is true.
- 14:55Again, I was the doctor that was spent five to 10 minutes with the patient.
- 14:59Looking at a computer typing up, whatever they telling me they were reporting to me.
- 15:04I will have the nurse through most of the work.
- 15:06The preparation, like taking your vital signs.
- 15:09Putting you in a gown.
- 15:10You know, like taking the UN sample and then I'll come in.
- 15:13Or have you complete a form then I'll come in and just ask you questions straight from the form.
- 15:18There's no Wil investigation.
- 15:21Taking place.
- 15:22If you have a headache.
- 15:23You have a headache?
- 15:25What is the characteristic of the headache?
- 15:27Is it front?
- 15:27Is it back?
- 15:28Is it on the side?
- 15:29Is it pounding?
- 15:30Do you have There's so many, like I've mastered and remembered exactly what I learned in school.
- 15:36I memorize many of these things.
- 15:37So when I am.
- 15:38In front of a patient.
- 15:39I know exactly what to ask and I'm getting it straight from the textbook.
- 15:42So there's no real human connection.
- 15:44Sometimes I wouldn't even make eye contact because I'm in the computer.
- 15:47I need to type up all this information because I have.
- 15:50Three other people waiting for me.
- 15:52And I need to go.
- 15:53This is will truth.
- 15:54Here we are being honest here.
- 15:57So patients are live in doctor's offices with confusion.
- 16:00Can you remember last time you actually understood.
- 16:03What was going on with you?
- 16:04When did that?
- 16:05They said, well, you have diabetes.
- 16:06I have diabetes because I do my sugar.
- 16:08I need to take shit out of my diet, but diabetes is not about taking sugar out of your diet.
- 16:13It is one at a tiny piece of it.
- 16:14There's so much involved when you are diabetic.
- 16:17There's so much.
- 16:17You have to understand when you have high blood pressure.
- 16:20When you have Hashimoto thyroiditis, when you have cancer.
- 16:23So sometimes I'll ask my patients.
- 16:24I'm like, well, what is the root cause of your diabetes?
- 16:27They can't tell me.
- 16:28Did you adapt the check your insulin?
- 16:29Nope.
- 16:30My doctor only checked my hemoglobin A1C.
- 16:33My glucose.
- 16:33That's it.
- 16:34Okay, well, that is not enough for us to see the world because of your diabetes.
- 16:38Right.
- 16:38So there's lack of clarity about the disease and diagnosis.
- 16:42You ask the patient, you ask the human being, you have to understand what's going on in your body so you can understand why the treatment is going to work and why not this medications or the treatment is not the proper treatment for you.
- 16:54You have to have understanding.
- 16:56You have to understand.
- 16:57And we don't see that a lot.
- 16:58So patients are living in doctor's offices, severely confused.
- 17:01Well, the doctor was the best went to school and he's an expert.
- 17:05And let me just go to the pharmacy and get the medications.
- 17:08Right.
- 17:08But that there's a human being just like us.
- 17:11They are not the best when it comes to your body.
- 17:13You know your body more than any doctor.
- 17:15As a matter of fact, as a doctor, we need to depend on you to help us help you.
- 17:19With your body.
- 17:19So I need to ask you the proper questions because you live with your body for so many years.
- 17:23You know, What happened prior to you getting the symptoms?
- 17:27So I need your help.
- 17:28So do not mistaken.
- 17:30That you don't know your body and you have to.
- 17:32Depend on somebody else that is I exterior.
- 17:35To tell you about your body.
- 17:36So there's a lot of confusions when you leave your doctor's office.
- 17:39Most people don't understand.
- 17:40They would tell me, I don't know why.
- 17:42So, if you don't know why then how do you know the treatment's going to work?
- 17:44I didn't know the medication is going to work.
- 17:46Well, the doctor prescribed it.
- 17:47I'm just going to take it.
- 17:48I don't know.
- 17:49And that's why we still say that's why we have so many medical errors, medication errors out there.
- 17:54That's why I will have care so expensive.
- 17:56And that insurance is fighting back.
- 17:58They're not covering many of the things.
- 17:59Copays going up.
- 18:00But then she was company claims are going up.
- 18:03And you find yourself finding the money.
- 18:05And that is why doctors are really doing less because they want to get reimbursed.
- 18:09They want to get paid.
- 18:09They have priorities.
- 18:10Responsibilities bills just like anybody else.
- 18:14Therefore they're going to give you the things that they think that might be covered by insurance.
- 18:17So the insurance.
- 18:18We'll cover, but at the end of the day, you need more than that.
- 18:21The next con is there's no education.
- 18:23We should just talk about, right.
- 18:24You need to understand so he can be compliant.
- 18:27Understand the treatment protocol.
- 18:28With conventional medicine, focus on the basic with the basic blood work, examination.
- 18:33There's no root cause evaluation.
- 18:35There's no digging deeper, evaluating the underlying cause of anything.
- 18:39You have a stomach issues, you have acid reflux.
- 18:41Let me give you Nexium.
- 18:42You have high blood pressure.
- 18:43Let's try everything.
- 18:44You have diabetes?
- 18:45Let's do.
- 18:45Metformin.
- 18:46Glipizide.
- 18:47Let's do, I don't know the latest medication that's out there.
- 18:50Let's do insulin.
- 18:51So, but we still don't understand why though.
- 18:53Why are we getting the symptoms?
- 18:55Why do we have this?
- 18:56We don't?
- 18:57That does a overwhelm.
- 18:58Oh my goodness they are burnt out now specific since COVID happens.
- 19:03If we're going to be honest with ourselves, they are burnt out and overwhelmed.
- 19:06Because of that.
- 19:07Cause they have so many demands.
- 19:09They don't have the support that they need.
- 19:11So that decrease in job satisfaction.
- 19:13Decrease of quality of life.
- 19:15There's depression, anxiety with the doctors, even if the money is good.
- 19:18I was getting paid really good, working for a magnet hospital, a teaching hospital.
- 19:24But I was unhappy.
- 19:25I was very unhappy.
- 19:26So money doesn't buy happiness, right?
- 19:28Money is a tool that we use.
- 19:30To help us live a great quality life, to afford the things that we want.
- 19:34But if you have no.
- 19:35Fulfillment.
- 19:36You're not happy what you're doing you cannot provide the care that you want.
- 19:40Because you don't want to fall behind.
- 19:42Or the insurance company didn't want to pay you.
- 19:44That is a losing the love and the passion the ones have for medicine.
- 19:48And that is a subject that is not discussed enough in the medical field.
- 19:52But it is there.
- 19:52I was one of them.
- 19:53I know many of my colleagues, I speak to them.
- 19:55I talk to them.
- 19:56They tell me exactly the same thing.
- 19:57Many of them lost the lives.
- 19:58Got stakes since COVID.
- 19:59Because they met while they want it to do well for our patients.
- 20:02So they went in there and help people.
- 20:04And they ended up having the virus themselves because again, with the stress.
- 20:08And not taking care of themselves properly.
- 20:10Not having enough support because people live in the profession.
- 20:12The great.
- 20:13Detonation.
- 20:14People I live in medicine.
- 20:15They're not happy anymore.
- 20:16There's a shortage medical practitioners now.
- 20:19So we conventional medicine on focuses on disease management there's no proper treatment.
- 20:24There's no elimination of symptoms there's no problem solving.
- 20:27We give you a pill for every ill.
- 20:28There's a medication for every single thing.
- 20:31So therefore it has no proper treatment of symptoms.
- 20:34First, we don't know the gold costs.
- 20:35So how are we going to treat?
- 20:36We just give you a pill.
- 20:37We're prescription of the pill.
- 20:39You're putting yourself at risk for side effects.
- 20:41Every single medications out there, you can Google and you'll see all the side effects.
- 20:46If you just start taking the medications and now you seeing.
- 20:49New symptoms you never had before.
- 20:51That's a side effects the FDA makes it so that you understand what you put into your body.
- 20:55By making the information available on the intranet.
- 21:00Because you have more side effects, you need more medications.
- 21:03Therefore you have more disease.
- 21:04Many times we start with one pill.
- 21:06We ended up having five pills.
- 21:08How, how is that possible?
- 21:10When I went to the doctor for one thing, Now I'm taking multiple pills for multiple illnesses.
- 21:15I have high blood pressure.
- 21:17The doctor gave me something for cholesterol.
- 21:18Or for diabetes.
- 21:19Now my stomach is not working properly.
- 21:22Have acid reflux.
- 21:23Give me something for acid reflux.
- 21:24So you see how we have a trifecta effect.
- 21:27You start with one thing and then we studied.
- 21:29Taking multiple things.
- 21:30Therefore become a slave to the pills.
- 21:32Because if you don't take the pills, you stop taking the pills, your symptoms will come back.
- 21:36Now, if the medication is working for you.
- 21:38And you're getting the vitality, the stamina, the energy, and you can get up and go and do exactly what you want to do when you want to do it with full of life and energy.
- 21:46Please continue taking the medication.
- 21:48But I know for many of us.
- 21:49There's medication.
- 21:50I'm not working for us.
- 21:51Not at all.
- 21:52Conventional medicine is sisters and brothers of big pharma.
- 21:56And the insurance industry.
- 21:57The three organizations, they are very.
- 22:00We let it.
- 22:00They lack siblings.
- 22:02You will not find conventional medicine without big pharma or the insurance.
- 22:06One is paying for your care.
- 22:07One is giving you the pills to keep you sick.
- 22:09And the other one is just.
- 22:11Dictating what goes on.
- 22:12In your life.
- 22:13They have a say so about your care.
- 22:15They don't know much about you and the quality of life you desire, but yet they get to tell you what to do.
- 22:21Insurance company tells doctors how to take care of you.
- 22:24You know why discovered.
- 22:25I had a patient.
- 22:26I was taking care of her daughter, had a heart disease.
- 22:29And the daughter couldn't afford the medication.
- 22:31And unfortunately she passed away.
- 22:33Because the insurance would not pay for the medication.
- 22:35That is sad.
- 22:36That is so sad.
- 22:37Nobody should lose the lives.
- 22:38Because of the third party.
- 22:40Not.
- 22:41Pain not covering that reimbursing for something that you need.
- 22:44If you think you have insurance and you're all squared, because insurance is paying for everything.
- 22:48I would love for you to sit.
- 22:49Take note, take inventory.
- 22:51How much is your insurance paying for?
- 22:53Because the care that insurance is paying for, it's not the care that you happy with.
- 22:56I hear so many stories of, I have good insurance, but yet I went to see my doctor I still don't know what's going on with me I wasn't being taken care of properly.
- 23:04I'm still confused.
- 23:05I just get handed a pill.
- 23:07Why I saw the insurance pay for you know, with conventional practitioners, you get in a pill.
- 23:12Cause that's the only way they can help you.
- 23:13Okay.
- 23:14So within having a close relationship, they get to tell you how you should be living your life.
- 23:19What is covered.
- 23:20What's not covered when you should go see the doctor.
- 23:22What medication you take?
- 23:23So that's why we have brand name, medication, and generic.
- 23:26If the insurance doesn't cover the brand name, medication, then you get to have the generic, which is slightly different.
- 23:32It's that you have organic food and then organic food.
- 23:35If you don't have money, you purchase the non-organic foods that has a lot of toxins in it.
- 23:38That's the same thing with medications.
- 23:40You have brand.
- 23:41Named medication and none in generic medications.
- 23:44All right.
- 23:44So patients in the conventional space are not empowered to take charge of the health.
- 23:49No way they are not.
- 23:50There's no education.
- 23:52There's no student down with your doctor.
- 23:53To explain to you in terms that you can understand what's going on in your body.
- 23:57They don't do any of that stuff.
- 23:59They don't have time.
- 24:00They have so many people waiting for them.
- 24:01There's no huge emphasize.
- 24:03I'm making lifestyle changes.
- 24:05So, therefore we stay sick.
- 24:07And the last thing about the cons.
- 24:10Is that conventional medicine is very expensive.
- 24:14Yes, it is.
- 24:14I know you're listening to this.
- 24:16You might be saying, oh no, it's not.
- 24:18Because insurance companies expensive.
- 24:20And students college is expensive.
- 24:22Add all the copays.
- 24:23At all the money you spend for medication the money they take out of your paycheck and add all the taxpayers money.
- 24:29All the claims, all the bills that you have laying on the table waiting to get paid.
- 24:33All the stress and the frustration.
- 24:35Right.
- 24:36That's an expense is very expensive.
- 24:39And sometimes it goes to the doctor.
- 24:41We pay$20 here,$50 there, it adds up.
- 24:44But you still not getting the care that you want.
- 24:47I'm going to say that again.
- 24:48It is expensive.
- 24:49What do you have insurance or not?
- 24:50Somebody has to pay for it.
- 24:52And taxes are going up.
- 24:53All right.
- 24:53Chaos limited.
- 24:54You don't get the top quality care.
- 24:56It's not completely covered by insurance, right?
- 24:58When someone is in charge of any aspects of your life.
- 25:02That takes away your power.
- 25:04The deciding for you to have full control of your decision-making.
- 25:07Most often you have to consult with the insurance company.
- 25:09You have to call them up and see if this is covered.
- 25:11That is covered.
- 25:12They shouldn't be that way.
- 25:13Right.
- 25:13You should just get up and go see a doctor and get the best care needed.
- 25:17For you because you are one.
- 25:19Human being you deserve the best.
- 25:21You're bad is the most important vessel.
- 25:23Now, if you want to make money, you need your body to work for you.
- 25:26It's not the case with conventional medicine.
- 25:28Right.
- 25:28You need to ask for permission.
- 25:30You asking the doctor?
- 25:31For formation, you ask them big pharma for permission by taking the medication.
- 25:34You asking for insurance people permission.
- 25:36You ask him for permission everywhere you go.
- 25:38Because there's a higher.
- 25:41Risk with conventional medicine that does have to pay higher.
- 25:45My practice.
- 25:46Insurance.
- 25:47You didn't with chemicals, there's medications or chemicals.
- 25:50And that's why most of them, when you look at the commercials on the TV, they'll tell you this may damage the kidneys.
- 25:56This may Legion.
- 25:57Renal failure that that's.
- 25:59Yeah.
- 25:59I mean, when you go to your doctor, you, ask him for help.
- 26:02You don't ask for kidney failure.
- 26:03You do not ask for your body to fall off.
- 26:06You go in for one thing, and there are medications out there giving people cancer.
- 26:09And that's why sometimes they have to do, we calls the other day that we called on a blood pressure medication.
- 26:14The patient was telling me.
- 26:15Right because they realize, by you taking this medication, something else would definitely go haywire.
- 26:21You have more symptoms, disease side effects, more everything.
- 26:25So let's go move the medication.
- 26:26With conventional medicine there's a higher medical neglect.
- 26:29And injustice.
- 26:30Many patients are not being cared for properly.
- 26:33You go to the doctor, you do your blood work, and then you anticipate in somebody calling you back and no one calls you back with the results.
- 26:40If they do call you back, they tell you everything is normal.
- 26:42But yet when you're looking at the results of the blood work, there's so many red and bold letters and highs and lows, and you're like, what?
- 26:50Or if the doctor does basic blood work, not really checking for what's going on.
- 26:54When you look at those thoughts, like, oh yeah, everything's normal.
- 26:57Then it must be me.
- 26:58Something's wrong with me.
- 26:59Because everything else is no.
- 27:00No that's medical neglect.
- 27:02That's medical injustice.
- 27:04With the conventional space, you are viewed as a number.
- 27:07There's no welcome passion, no real understanding for what you're going through.
- 27:10Many of us, when we go see an expert, we must that person to understand our pain.
- 27:15We want that person to have some compassion.
- 27:18Okay.
- 27:18I got you.
- 27:19I'm here for you.
- 27:20We're going to do this together.
- 27:22Right.
- 27:22That's what we want.
- 27:24We don't leave our house to go see.
- 27:26In somebody's room or to get, spend hours in a stretcher in emergency room or urgent care to be waiting for hours.
- 27:32And not for that person.
- 27:33That's happiness navigating.
- 27:35That will have not to have compassion.
- 27:36That's no.
- 27:38You want someone to understand, to feel you.
- 27:40To take time, to slow down.
- 27:43Time and just to listen to you to actually spend a few minutes, listening to you.
- 27:47We don't see that often in the conventional space.
- 27:49And it's all about quick fixes.
- 27:52And put in abandoned and everything.
- 27:54And there's no wheel healing even if you take this medication, your symptoms go away, a quote unquote.
- 27:59You know, go away.
- 28:00When you stopped taking the medication, they come back.
- 28:03So how are you healing?
- 28:04Are you really healing?
- 28:05Can you really sit with yourself and say, yes, I'm healed.
- 28:07That is why there's a movement.
- 28:09So many people are refusing to take tons of medications.
- 28:12They are not about taking a pill for everything.
- 28:15They want us as the practitioners that those do.
- 28:17We.
- 28:18Give them options.
- 28:19Yes, let's take the medications for a few weeks now.
- 28:23But why we take this medications let's work on something else.
- 28:26Let's work on identifying the true, true cause of this disease state.
- 28:30Okay, because as we know, there are multiple things to get you the same results and the same outcome.
- 28:36We never focused on one thing.
- 28:37We can use multiple avenues, multiple routes to give us the outcome that we desire.
- 28:43When you put all your eggs in one basket.
- 28:46You missing out.
- 28:47But when you're open for the opportunity, the possibility that you can heal your body and you can take.
- 28:53Charge of your half, you can care for yourself by using multiple tools.
- 28:57Then you get.
- 28:58The rip.
- 28:59The benefits.
- 29:00Conventional medicine is here for emergencies.
- 29:04For serious illnesses medication.
- 29:06So here to stabilize you to give you a breather, to decrease the stress, the internal stress, your body is dealing with.
- 29:12But both of these things should not be.
- 29:15I utilize.
- 29:16Long term.
- 29:17They shouldn't be the only thing you focus on and that's why we are still sick.
- 29:20That is why cancer is rampant right now.
- 29:23That is why people are frustrated.
- 29:25They are anxious.
- 29:26That is why we cannot heal our bodies from this virus.
- 29:28And we keep getting infections after infections, after infections.
- 29:31Because we have not really identified the wood cause we have not really healed.
- 29:35We have not supported.
- 29:36We've been focusing on quick fixes.
- 29:38And then gratification.
- 29:39And these things are killing us.
- 29:41By the minute.
- 29:42It's decreasing their quality of life.
- 29:44It's not providing the care that we still love and what we're not thriving in our house anymore.
- 29:49And when you focus on insurance depending on insurance to pay for everything.
- 29:53We're not being realistic.
- 29:54Maybe your insurance pays for everything.
- 29:56That's awesome.
- 29:57But do you know someone else that's been struggling?
- 30:00That's been fighting with the insurance company.
- 30:02It has to find the money for the copay.
- 30:04There has, has a bill.
- 30:05You know, so many people that are denying care.
- 30:08The doctor has to tell them.
- 30:09So yeah.
- 30:09She doesn't cover.
- 30:10We can not do this test because your insurance doesn't cover.
- 30:12Or we need a prequalification, pre-cert certification as a human being with the Def the basket, there's everything that we need.
- 30:19For, I still have the quality of life that we desire.
- 30:21You're like, okay, well, I've tried to conventional space.
