- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you. Thank you for listening to us.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Seacrest. On air, on air, on.
- 0:06Speaker 4: Air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:10Speaker 1: It's 102.7 Kiss FM, Los Angeles. Good morning. Yeah, August
- 0:15Speaker 1: kind of flew by. Here we go. September, October, November, December.
- 0:18Speaker 1: The birds are here.
- 0:19Speaker 4: The birds are here, and I love it. There's an
- 0:21Speaker 4: energy shift.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Well, a little relief from the heat, too.
- 0:24Speaker 4: Yeah, that's true.
- 0:25Speaker 5: August always flies by like a moment in time.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Thank you for that poetic observation.
- 0:31Speaker 5: Taylor Swift lyric.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I know. How was your morning so far? Mine, wrong foot.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Starting on the wrong foot.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I mean, I shouldn't let these kinds of little things
- 0:43Speaker 1: deter the energy of the day.
- 0:46Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 0:47Speaker 1: So I told you, everybody asked me about it. Do
- 0:51Speaker 1: you really have a coffee machine in your bedroom?
- 0:53Speaker 6: I do.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I do.
- 0:56Speaker 1: And I was so excited to wake up this morning
- 0:58Speaker 1: and save time by starting the coffee machine. Yeah. My
- 1:01Speaker 1: outlet was out.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Oh, that's a bummer.
- 1:06Speaker 1: My outlet was out to grind the beans, to make
- 1:08Speaker 1: the coffee. And so I had to find an outlet
- 1:12Speaker 1: like in the closet under my shoes. There's one in
- 1:15Speaker 1: the back under my shoes. So my coffee machine was
- 1:18Speaker 1: in the bottom of my closet behind my Sebago shoes,
- 1:22Speaker 1: you know, brewing the coffee.
- 1:24Speaker 6: What?
- 1:25Speaker 4: Why not just go to the kitchen at this point?
- 1:27Speaker 3: Nope.
- 1:27Speaker 5: Yeah, it's too much.
- 1:29Speaker 6: Nope.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Principle. I'm trying to save time. So I wanted to
- 1:32Speaker 1: do it all in my room. And then because I
- 1:36Speaker 1: was rushing to make it and it was not in
- 1:37Speaker 1: the right place, it was very weak. not strong. And
- 1:41Speaker 1: so it just, it didn't, it didn't start me off
- 1:43Speaker 1: in the right way. But you know, when you have
- 1:45Speaker 1: those days where like one little thing happens, you spill
- 1:49Speaker 1: something on the way out.
- 1:50Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Toothpaste on your shirt. Something happens in your car that
- 1:55Speaker 1: sets you back. Your car has a flat tire. Those
- 1:58Speaker 1: little things can really set the tone for not being.
- 2:01Speaker 7: But don't let it affect you though. I had to
- 2:03Speaker 7: walk through sprinklers this morning and I'm, I came in fine.
- 2:06Speaker 7: I did it as a kid for fun.
- 2:08Speaker 4: No, it was definitely not fun. But I was all
- 2:10Speaker 4: dewy while driving here now.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Now I'm dry.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Everything's okay.
- 2:14Speaker 8: I forgot to turn my phone volume off before I
- 2:17Speaker 8: went to sleep last night.
- 2:18Speaker 5: And I got an email at 1 a.m.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Who emailed you at 1 a.m. about what? Amy Sugarman.
- 2:26Speaker 5: But it woke both of us up. I was like, oh, man.
- 2:30Speaker 5: And then I couldn't fall asleep after that.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Oh, that's a bummer.
- 2:33Speaker 1: But you're right. These little things, your kids agitate you,
- 2:37Speaker 1: your husband, your wife agitate you. You get to decide,
- 2:41Speaker 1: is that going to ruin, not ruin, is it going
- 2:43Speaker 1: to make your day less than great?
- 2:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:46Speaker 1: No, it's not. I'm not going to let, it can't
- 2:48Speaker 1: have the power. That coffee machine, that Cuisinart that's in
- 2:50Speaker 1: the bottom of my closet with the grinder underneath my
- 2:53Speaker 1: hanging clothes cannot, because it didn't work well, cannot allow
- 2:57Speaker 1: me to have a negative day. I'm not, I'm choosing
- 3:00Speaker 1: to not let it happen. That is, It's empowering.
- 3:04Speaker 5: All right. That's what I'm talking about.
- 3:06Speaker 4: That's the energy.
- 3:07Speaker 7: So then don't call it your wrong foot. Call it
- 3:09Speaker 7: the foot that it's supposed to be today.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I'm overcoming. Okay, so what do we got today? The Burrs. Oh,
- 3:16Speaker 1: Newport Beach. Happy birthday. Here comes your cake.
- 3:19Speaker 4: How cute is that?
- 3:21Speaker 1: 120 years is not cute. That's old. Not that old.
- 3:25Speaker 1: When you compare us to the country in the world. Well,
- 3:28Speaker 1: when you go to Rome, yeah, it's older.
- 3:29Speaker 6: Babies.
- 3:30Speaker 1: 120 years, Newport Beach. Partly sunny today. Not as hot.
- 3:35Speaker 1: So we get 80s and 90s. Now, the Jonas Brothers called.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And they said, we have more tickets if you want
- 3:41Speaker 1: to give them away. So we're doing that every single hour.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And we have a second date update, which is very interesting.
- 3:47Speaker 1: It has to do with a DoorDash driver. And I
- 3:51Speaker 1: have a question. And I'll explain why I asked this question.
- 3:56Speaker 1: And we'll get into it later. But if you're a
- 3:58Speaker 1: DoorDash driver, or food delivery person, does the order of
- 4:04Speaker 1: your customer, what they order, does that potentially make you
- 4:08Speaker 1: think they're going to be hot or attractive when you
- 4:10Speaker 1: get there? And I'll tell you why. Like certain foods,
- 4:14Speaker 1: you might go, wow, I'm going to brush my hair
- 4:18Speaker 1: before this delivery because it's happening. Food delivery people are
- 4:24Speaker 1: trading numbers with their customers when they arrive. And I
- 4:26Speaker 1: wonder if the food has anything to do with it.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Sure is. It is Kiss FM. Did you get a
- 4:36Speaker 1: good night's sleep, Sissany?
- 4:37Speaker 5: No, I didn't.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Tanya, did you?
- 4:40Speaker 5: No, my email woke me up at 1 a.m.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Now what is going on? What is this battle of
- 4:45Speaker 1: the pillows in your bed with your husband?
- 4:48Speaker 5: So it's not a battle. I have also, okay.
- 4:50Speaker 8: So I'm getting the best sleep of my entire life
- 4:54Speaker 8: since I got this body pillow.
- 4:56Speaker 6: Okay.
- 4:56Speaker 8: So it's one of those body pillows. It's also called
- 4:58Speaker 8: a pregnancy pillow, but it goes, basically it's.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Like a U between your legs, your legs.
- 5:02Speaker 8: You can hug it with your arms and you use
- 5:04Speaker 8: it as like your pillow for your head. So it's
- 5:06Speaker 8: like a All in one thing, okay?
- 5:08Speaker 4: I can't believe you love this pillow. I hated this pillow.
- 5:11Speaker 4: It's too big.
- 5:12Speaker 1: It's like having to purse an extra body in the bed.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Yes, exactly. I got rid of it right away.
- 5:17Speaker 5: It's like my own personal cocoon. I'm sleeping.
- 5:20Speaker 8: So amazing. So I'm, I'm begging Robbie to get one
- 5:24Speaker 8: for himself. Like I, I am a side sleeper as well.
- 5:28Speaker 8: So I'm like, please just try mine for one night.
- 5:31Speaker 8: I would love nothing more than for him to have
- 5:33Speaker 8: this amazing sleep that I'm having.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You'd have yours, his, and the two of you in
- 5:38Speaker 1: the backstreet boys.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Literally so many bodies.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Yes.
- 5:43Speaker 5: But he'd have his little cocoon.
- 5:44Speaker 8: I have my little cocoon and we'd both be sleeping
- 5:47Speaker 8: 10 out of 10.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And And he's fighting this?
- 5:49Speaker 5: He won't do it. He won't even try mine for
- 5:51Speaker 5: a night.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Maybe he doesn't want it.
- 5:54Speaker 1: But why do you care? I mean, if the guy's
- 5:56Speaker 1: on the other side of the bed sleeping well, why
- 5:58Speaker 1: do you care?
- 5:59Speaker 8: Isn't it your wife's job to improve your life in every.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Way, shape, or form? Not if you don't want it.
- 6:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:05Speaker 5: But you don't know what you want until you have it.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Well, I got one for you. You don't have to
- 6:10Speaker 1: deal with this. So in the event... If it happens
- 6:14Speaker 1: that things go well and someone is a guest of
- 6:18Speaker 1: mine at my place for an overnight, I have two pillows.
- 6:23Speaker 1: There are four pillows in the bed. Two of them
- 6:26Speaker 1: I must sleep with. If she starts to sleep with
- 6:30Speaker 1: my purple pillow, I have to awkwardly say, I'm so sorry,
- 6:35Speaker 1: but I need that pillow to sleep with. You can
- 6:37Speaker 1: have these.
- 6:39Speaker 4: That is so awkward.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And also, why is it purple? It's a purple, that
- 6:43Speaker 1: purple pillow. No, no, he means the brand, not like
- 6:46Speaker 1: a purple pillow. Because it's like, it stays cold and squishy.
- 6:49Speaker 4: I'm picturing like purple satin cover.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I just, I just have to say, it's like an
- 6:54Speaker 1: awkward conversation because it's like at that moment when you've
- 6:56Speaker 1: had a great evening, you're about to fall asleep. But
- 6:58Speaker 1: I have to say, I usually just say, look, I'm
- 7:01Speaker 1: not a great sleeper. I'll sleep fantastic next to you,
- 7:05Speaker 1: but I need that pillow that you're laying on. Can
- 7:07Speaker 1: we swap?
- 7:07Speaker 5: I'd be like, no, I like this pillow.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Awkward. Well, no, because it's my purple pillow that I
- 7:12Speaker 1: have to sleep with.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Get a second purple pillow for your guest.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I have two. I sleep with two purple pillows. I
- 7:18Speaker 1: hug one and I put my head on the other.
- 7:19Speaker 1: You can't share one of them? No, I need two.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I must have two. I must have the exact same two.
- 7:24Speaker 4: I get it.
- 7:24Speaker 5: If somebody tried to take my pillow away from me,
- 7:26Speaker 5: I'd be like, I.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Do have my one favorite one that I would not
- 7:29Speaker 4: want to share.
- 7:30Speaker 1: So two out of four times they leave.
- 7:33Speaker 7: Anyway.
- 7:33Speaker 5: 50-50.
- 7:38Speaker 1: 2.7 Kiss FM. Watching, you know, TV shows and movies.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And I love it when you watch something and they
- 7:46Speaker 1: go into, the person goes into the restaurant or the
- 7:49Speaker 1: diner usually.
- 7:50Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You want your usual? Yeah, I'll have my usual.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I was thinking about that. Like, I've never gone into
- 7:57Speaker 1: a place and had them say, You want the usual?
- 8:01Speaker 6: Never.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It only happens in the movies.
- 8:02Speaker 4: I want that so bad. I want to be a
- 8:03Speaker 4: regular so bad at a restaurant.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Why hasn't it happened yet? Why do you want to
- 8:07Speaker 1: be a regular? So that they just treat you as
- 8:10Speaker 1: a friend?
- 8:10Speaker 5: Yeah, they treat you like family. Exactly.
- 8:14Speaker 7: They know your booth. They know what part of the
- 8:16Speaker 7: restaurant you like to sit in every time. Those types
- 8:19Speaker 7: of things. I want to just walk into Casa Vega
- 8:22Speaker 7: and be a regular.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I go there enough.
- 8:24Speaker 1: This is a staple in the Valley. Mexican restaurant. Been
- 8:27Speaker 1: there forever. Family-owned business. We love it. Everybody knows about
- 8:31Speaker 1: it and loves it in the Valley.
- 8:32Speaker 6: Right.
- 8:33Speaker 1: And so you have been there. I mean, you've been
- 8:36Speaker 1: to two places, three places most. Here, Disneyland, and Casa Vegas.
- 8:42Speaker 4: I feel like that's accurate.
- 8:43Speaker 1: How many times have you been in there and they
- 8:45Speaker 1: still don't recognize you as a regular?
- 8:47Speaker 7: No, because it's always like a different hostess or I'll
- 8:50Speaker 7: get seated in a different section from where we got
- 8:52Speaker 7: to know that, that last server. And then now we're
- 8:54Speaker 7: in the opposite side. And so we're into a whole
- 8:56Speaker 7: brand new server. And so we're getting there, I feel,
- 8:59Speaker 7: but it's not clicking yet. And I just like, I'm like,
- 9:01Speaker 7: how do I make it click?
- 9:02Speaker 5: You have to request that same spot every time you
- 9:05Speaker 5: go in.
- 9:05Speaker 1: It is so like, personally gratifying for them to acknowledge
- 9:11Speaker 1: you are a patron. You are a regular. You get
- 9:14Speaker 1: your usual.
- 9:16Speaker 4: How great is that?
- 9:16Speaker 7: If they know what my kids want or this, I'm like, oh,
- 9:18Speaker 7: this is a dream. Eventually, I think we'll get there.
- 9:21Speaker 1: We go there now. You walk in and you wait
- 9:23Speaker 1: for them to give you the reaction of, oh, of course.
- 9:26Speaker 1: And you wait for them and they don't do it.
- 9:28Speaker 4: No, come on in the Via Claras. No, not yet.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Not yet.
- 9:30Speaker 4: We're getting there though, I feel.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Waiting for a reaction. Because I had Georgia out for
- 9:35Speaker 1: a walk last night. And these other people had a
- 9:39Speaker 1: dog named Lulu, one of those hot dogs with little legs.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Oh, yes. A dachshund.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And she said to me, well, how old is Georgia?
- 9:48Speaker 1: And I know when I say the name, I always
- 9:51Speaker 1: wait a beat for a great reaction. Like she looks
- 9:53Speaker 1: so good or wow she's so fit because I wait
- 9:55Speaker 1: for it because usually it happens so proudly I was
- 9:58Speaker 1: like she's 13 waiting for a big reaction waiting no
- 10:02Speaker 1: reaction how did you not react to the fact that
- 10:05Speaker 1: she looks so good for 13 I was very upset
- 10:08Speaker 1: you know when you're waiting for this moment this reaction
- 10:11Speaker 1: it's very personally frustrating what do you eat when you
- 10:14Speaker 1: go to Casa Vega what's your regular what's your usual.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Oh I get the mole enchiladas On the mole, there's
- 10:20Speaker 4: the legendary. Yes, I know. Asa does the Mexican pizza,
- 10:24Speaker 4: or like the Mexican torta.
- 10:25Speaker 1: To the Vega family, there is only one Sisani. She
- 10:30Speaker 1: wants to be a regular so bad, okay? I'll be
- 10:33Speaker 1: there this week. Make her feel like part of the club.
- 10:35Speaker 1: The worst Zodiac sign to travel with, is it you?
- 10:40Speaker 1: Is it your spouse?
- 10:41Speaker 3: Next.
- 10:42Speaker 1: And a quote of the day. I want a 2.7
- 10:44Speaker 1: Kiss FM. A quick quote of the day here. But first,
- 10:47Speaker 1: so I am a Capricorn. What are you, Cisney?
- 10:50Speaker 4: I'm an Aries.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Tanya?
- 10:52Speaker 5: Cancer.
- 10:53Speaker 1: The worst Zodiac sign to travel with. I think Kelly
- 10:56Speaker 1: Ripa was talking about this on her show, Live with
- 10:58Speaker 1: Kelly and Ryan.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Not Live with Kelly and Mark.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Live with Kelly and Mark. And this is the number
- 11:05Speaker 1: one worst Zodiac sign to travel with. And I'll tell
- 11:08Speaker 1: you why. Is anybody in the back room a Taurus?
- 11:13Speaker 6: No.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Capricorn?
- 11:16Speaker 4: I'm a Capricorn.
- 11:17Speaker 5: My little sister's a Taurus, though.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Yeah, my whole family's a Taurus. I have a Leo, too.
- 11:23Speaker 1: You guys are fine. The worst? Aries.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Wait, I'm an Aries. I'm not the worst. Why are
- 11:31Speaker 4: they saying that?
- 11:32Speaker 1: So they said it's been proven time and time again.
- 11:35Speaker 1: There's no way around it.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Oh, baloney.
- 11:37Speaker 1: They are high energy. They are the most impatient of
- 11:41Speaker 1: all the signs.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Not true.
- 11:42Speaker 1: They need constant stimulation, which clashes with a more relaxed
- 11:47Speaker 1: vacation pace. I would say this is you.
- 11:51Speaker 4: No, let me tell you something.
- 11:53Speaker 7: The reason we vacation is because I'm an Aries, because
- 11:56Speaker 7: I'm type A.
- 11:57Speaker 4: I book all the reservations, the.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Things for the kids to be. That impatience, that energy,
- 12:01Speaker 1: that defensiveness.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Well, I am going to defend Aries and anybody else
- 12:04Speaker 4: who's listening right now because we are... Are you impatient?
- 12:09Speaker 4: It depends on the situation.
- 12:10Speaker 1: It's a great quality.
- 12:12Speaker 4: It just depends on the situation.
- 12:14Speaker 7: I make reservations for that reason so that we don't
- 12:16Speaker 7: have to wait.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I think impatience is a great trait. You just have
- 12:19Speaker 1: to look at it the right way. You're efficient. You
- 12:21Speaker 1: get things done. You think it through. You're detail oriented.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Today's quote. If you are worried about the cost of
- 12:27Speaker 1: going for it, you should see the price of staying
- 12:30Speaker 1: exactly where you are. So go for it. Kiss FM.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Good morning. Bruno Mars at Kiss LA is number one
- 12:38Speaker 1: at Music Station, coming up after 7. A second date update.
- 12:41Speaker 1: He's a DoorDash driver. He delivered her dinner, and instead
- 12:45Speaker 1: of a tip, she gave out her number. I have
- 12:49Speaker 1: so many questions coming up for Sissany Headlines. Kiss FM
- 12:52Speaker 1: Headlines with Sissany. Well, L.A.
- 12:54Speaker 7: County has filed a lawsuit against State Farm for allegedly
- 12:58Speaker 7: mishandling wildfire survivor claims. After nearly 40 years without billboards,
- 13:04Speaker 7: digital signs are now going up.
- 13:06Speaker 4: In Santa Monica. And residents already pushing back, of course.
- 13:10Speaker 7: Drivers heading to Malibu, Pacific Palisades, or Topanga for Labor
- 13:13Speaker 7: Day weekend will get a break with Caltrans pausing construction
- 13:17Speaker 7: on Pacific Coast Highway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard. And Universal
- 13:21Speaker 7: Studios announced the opening date for Fast and Furious Hollywood Drift,
- 13:25Speaker 7: the park's first outdoor high-speed roller coaster.
- 13:28Speaker 4: That's going to be September 16th. Just go to the pool.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Just stand on the sand. Getting in the ocean has
- 13:38Speaker 1: become more and more dangerous with the creatures. Now, granted,
- 13:41Speaker 1: we are going into their home. They were there first.
- 13:44Speaker 6: Sure.
- 13:44Speaker 1: But we talked about the stingrays. You got the jellyfish.
- 13:49Speaker 1: And this one is bizarre. If you are at the
- 13:52Speaker 1: beach and you're in or near the water and you
- 13:55Speaker 1: hear a hissing sound, that is a beach ocean rattlesnake.
- 14:00Speaker 1: And they're... in a lot of places here in Southern
- 14:03Speaker 1: California due to the heat. Sisney, I'm terrified.
- 14:07Speaker 4: I'm terrified too.
- 14:08Speaker 7: I'm not ready to experience something like this while trying
- 14:10Speaker 7: to relax at the beach. But a rattlesnake was spotted
- 14:13Speaker 7: off the shoreline at Crystal Cove State Beach near Newport Beach.
- 14:18Speaker 4: And yeah, swimming, coming from the ocean.
- 14:21Speaker 1: So they're in the water. A rattlesnake is swimming in
- 14:24Speaker 1: the water. No, I cannot. I mean, seaweed freaks me out.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Oh, seaweed is so gross to me as well.
- 14:32Speaker 1: So what do we got? We got jellyfish. We got sharks.
- 14:37Speaker 1: We got otters, eels, rattlesnakes.
- 14:40Speaker 4: The stingrays.
- 14:40Speaker 1: The stingrays.
- 14:42Speaker 4: And this is all because of the warmer waters.
- 14:45Speaker 7: It's this El Nino, the super El Nino, that's creating really,
- 14:48Speaker 7: really warm ocean waters for us.
- 14:50Speaker 1: When you think of all of the phylum of marine
- 14:53Speaker 1: life that could be in there, odds are you're going
- 14:55Speaker 1: to encounter one.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Well, no.
- 14:57Speaker 8: If you think about how big the ocean is, how
- 15:00Speaker 8: much circumference it covers.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Yes, where are you going with this?
- 15:07Speaker 8: If you divide it by the amount of people swimming
- 15:10Speaker 8: in the ocean, it's far less than the circumference of
- 15:13Speaker 8: all the water.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Area, not circumference. I think area.
- 15:17Speaker 4: The math ain't math. I don't know what you're saying.
- 15:20Speaker 8: I'm trying to say how big the ocean is versus
- 15:23Speaker 8: how many people are swimming in it.
- 15:26Speaker 5: I feel like it's not common.
- 15:29Speaker 1: It is. Did you hear how many people encountered the stingray? I,
- 15:33Speaker 1: for one, am not interested in encountering anything other than
- 15:38Speaker 1: myself in the water. I do not want to, like
- 15:42Speaker 1: if I saw, what do you do when you see
- 15:44Speaker 1: a rattlesnake? What are you supposed to do in the water?
- 15:48Speaker 4: Go away, swim away, pay attention.
- 15:51Speaker 1: No, they say relax.
- 15:53Speaker 5: And what?
- 15:54Speaker 1: Let it just, I guess let it swim away. Don't,
- 15:56Speaker 1: don't like act intense or it'll get intense with you.
- 15:59Speaker 4: I would run. I wouldn't stand right there. I would
- 16:02Speaker 4: run for my life.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I'm a pool dude more than ever before.
- 16:06Speaker 6: Right.
- 16:07Speaker 1: So watch out for those.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Good luck. I'm making 2.7 kiss FM, you know, door
- 16:13Speaker 1: dash Uber eats Uber. It's just so convenient. So easy.
- 16:17Speaker 1: I was sending an Uber for someone to pick them up,
- 16:23Speaker 1: but delayed.
- 16:23Speaker 6: Right.
- 16:23Speaker 1: So I want to pick them up like an hour later,
- 16:27Speaker 1: but I've somehow failed and schedule it for tomorrow.
- 16:31Speaker 6: Oh no.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I scheduled it for the next day. I didn't even
- 16:34Speaker 1: see that option. I was so impressed that I scheduled
- 16:36Speaker 1: it for like an hour later. Right. But I scheduled
- 16:38Speaker 1: it for the next day. So I got to pay
- 16:41Speaker 1: better attention. But then I started thinking about my DoorDash orders,
- 16:44Speaker 1: my Uber Eats. Like when somebody comes to deliver the
- 16:46Speaker 1: food and when you, if you are one of these
- 16:49Speaker 1: delivery people, I'm curious to get inside your head. Does
- 16:54Speaker 1: the order, like let's say you're single and you know,
- 16:57Speaker 1: you might meet some qualified people when you're delivering this stuff.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Does the actual specificity of the order make someone potentially attractive?
- 17:07Speaker 4: I think so.
- 17:08Speaker 6: Maybe.
- 17:08Speaker 3: All right.
- 17:09Speaker 1: So we'll get into all that. But first, let me
- 17:10Speaker 1: bring in Darren. He's struggling here. Let's get the story. So, Darren,
- 17:16Speaker 1: thanks for coming on. I know you deliver and you
- 17:20Speaker 1: delivered some food to her. And then she asked you
- 17:23Speaker 1: out and you said yes when you delivered the food.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Is that right? Uh, yeah. Does that happen a lot?
- 17:31Speaker 6: No, no, absolutely not. Like God, I try to keep,
- 17:36Speaker 6: you know, business and personal things separate, but this, this was,
- 17:42Speaker 6: this is that rule.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Cause you went out like for two nights after that.
- 17:45Speaker 6: Right.
- 17:45Speaker 1: So the first night was amazing. What happened on the
- 17:47Speaker 1: second night of meeting this customer?
- 17:50Speaker 6: Yeah, totally. Uh, so yeah, like you said, she, she
- 17:54Speaker 6: made me laugh so, so hard. On that first night,
- 17:58Speaker 6: but the second night, the whole vibe just changed. Like,
- 18:03Speaker 6: she was distracted. She said she wasn't feeling great. She
- 18:07Speaker 6: didn't laugh at any of my jokes. And then she
- 18:10Speaker 6: asked me to take her home, like, as soon as
- 18:12Speaker 6: we were done eating. So, I don't know. I mean,
- 18:15Speaker 6: my texts are going unanswered, so I... I have no
- 18:18Speaker 6: idea what, what was it me? Was there something else
- 18:21Speaker 6: going on? I don't know.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Well, look, I mean, sometimes people are interested and then
- 18:26Speaker 1: they're not interested once they get to know you and
- 18:28Speaker 1: you're just not for her. That could be what happened.
- 18:31Speaker 6: Yikes.
- 18:32Speaker 1: So bottom line, first night, amazing. Second night, weird.
- 18:36Speaker 6: Right, right. Exactly.
- 18:38Speaker 1: What kind of jokes are you telling? I'm just curious.
- 18:40Speaker 6: Well, I mean, a lot of it was just riffing
- 18:45Speaker 6: off of what we were going back and forth. There
- 18:48Speaker 6: wasn't like any knock-knock jokes.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Spontaneous improvisation.
- 18:52Speaker 6: Yes. I did ironically say a terrible, what do you
- 18:56Speaker 6: get when you mix a blank and blank? But that
- 18:59Speaker 6: was it. And she laughed at that. What do you get.
- 19:03Speaker 1: When you mix blank and blank?
- 19:05Speaker 8: No, I think it's probably like dirty. He can't say
- 19:07Speaker 8: it on the air.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 19:08Speaker 4: All right.
- 19:10Speaker 1: So just quickly, we're going to put her on the air.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Her name is Julissa. Do you have any theories? Do
- 19:16Speaker 1: you have anything that's in the back of your mind
- 19:19Speaker 1: that could be why she didn't want to go out again?
- 19:23Speaker 6: Two nights in a row, like, I don't know, maybe
- 19:26Speaker 6: she thought we were moving too fast. I mean, we
- 19:29Speaker 6: didn't even kiss.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Okay, I got it. Hold on one second. We're going
- 19:34Speaker 1: to try and get her on the air next at
- 19:35Speaker 1: Kiss and find out.
- 19:36Speaker 2: 102.7 Kiss FM.
- 19:40Speaker 1: So quickly, let me get Jalisa on before she decides
- 19:43Speaker 1: that she does not want to talk about this. But
- 19:45Speaker 1: Darren reached out to us for a second date update.
- 19:47Speaker 1: He's a delivery guy, delivers the food to Jalisa. She's like, oh,
- 19:51Speaker 1: I like you. Let's go out. They go out. Two nights.
- 19:54Speaker 1: First night, great. Second night, weird. She's now blowing him off. So, Darren. Hey, Darren, quickly,
- 20:00Speaker 1: the kind of food or any type of food that
- 20:03Speaker 1: someone delivers, does that make them potentially more attractive?
- 20:06Speaker 6: Yeah. Uh, you know, I, I'll be honest. Yeah. Um, yeah. Oh,
- 20:13Speaker 6: for sure.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Cause sometimes I just order oysters to see if I
- 20:16Speaker 1: get a reaction.
- 20:20Speaker 6: I don't think that's going to make you any more
- 20:22Speaker 6: attractive to me. I'm sorry.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yeah. Thank you. Uh, okay. What did she order?
- 20:29Speaker 6: Uh, she ordered, uh, what was it? It was a
- 20:33Speaker 6: boba tea and, um, oh my God, it was popcorn chicken.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Instead of a tip, she gave you her number. Here
- 20:41Speaker 1: we go. She's on the line. Be very quiet. We're
- 20:44Speaker 1: going to find out why she blew you off, okay?
- 20:47Speaker 6: Great. Thank you.
- 20:47Speaker 1: She just became uninterested. I mean, that happens, right? You
- 20:49Speaker 1: meet somebody, you think they're going to be this. They're not.
- 20:51Speaker 1: They're something else, and you blow them off. Julissa, good morning.
- 20:54Speaker 1: How are you?
- 20:54Speaker 3: Good morning. I'm doing fine.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Great. Welcome to KISS FM. You're on the air with us.
- 21:01Speaker 1: So we're calling you about a guy that delivered your
- 21:03Speaker 1: food named Darren.
- 21:04Speaker 6: The DoorDash guy?
- 21:07Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 21:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Tell me about that guy. Is he.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Cute? Yeah, he is. But that's kind of the problem.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Why?
- 21:17Speaker 3: Yeah, well, we went out on a couple of dates
- 21:23Speaker 3: and the second date was, you know, really where it
- 21:27Speaker 3: kind of took a turn. I mean, they were fine.
- 21:31Speaker 3: I don't know. I just I don't want to be mean.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Just be truthful.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Mean.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Honesty isn't mean in the right context.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Right.
- 21:45Speaker 6: Usually.
- 21:46Speaker 3: I mean, I guess he just has some growing up
- 21:49Speaker 3: to do.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Oh. So what do you do that made him seem childish?
- 21:55Speaker 6: Okay.
- 21:57Speaker 3: So he has roommates, which is fine, I guess. But
- 22:02Speaker 3: he and his roommate are literally on bunk beds.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Okay. And the problem is?
- 22:10Speaker 3: I mean, it was a lot of other stuff, too.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Before the second date, we met at his place and
- 22:19Speaker 3: he gave me the quick tour. But it was one
- 22:23Speaker 3: minute of a tour and that's all I needed. It
- 22:26Speaker 3: showed me so much. I mean, there was a wall-sized
- 22:30Speaker 3: poster of Jessica Alba in their living room, for one thing.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Like the whole wall. And then I went into the
- 22:37Speaker 3: bathroom and there wasn't a single hand towel.
- 22:40Speaker 6: I'm like, okay.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Do these guys just not wash their hands or dry
- 22:46Speaker 3: their hands on their hands?
- 22:46Speaker 5: No, they probably use the towel. They're like bath towel.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I understand. I understand. These are things, signs that just
- 22:55Speaker 1: give you the ick. And so therefore you blew him off.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I have him on the phone right now because he
- 23:01Speaker 1: was way into you and you asked him out in
- 23:03Speaker 1: the first place like you made the first move. So, Darren,
- 23:06Speaker 1: do you hear this and does that add up?
- 23:10Speaker 6: Hey, yes, yes. And I can explain some of that.
- 23:19Speaker 3: You don't have to, though. It's fine. Live the way
- 23:22Speaker 3: you want to live. It's just not for me.
- 23:25Speaker 6: No, but the poster, it's my roommate's, and he had
- 23:29Speaker 6: the place before I moved in, which, I mean, I think... Also,
- 23:33Speaker 6: I think I might have been doing laundry that day,
- 23:35Speaker 6: so that's why the hand towels weren't there.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Can I get to the bunk bed? Now, how does
- 23:43Speaker 1: that work when you date and you've got a bunker
- 23:46Speaker 1: underneath you?
- 23:49Speaker 2: You know.
- 23:52Speaker 6: It's communication. Just letting people know, hey, I've got somebody
- 24:00Speaker 6: coming over if my place is the destination. It's just practical.
- 24:08Speaker 6: If I'm also going to share a room, it's the
- 24:11Speaker 6: better use of space.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Well, look, this is not going to go anywhere. It's
- 24:15Speaker 1: not going to work out. And I think that's fine.
- 24:16Speaker 1: We determined that. And I appreciate Everybody's transparency and honesty here.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Not mean at all. So thank you, Darren. And good luck.
- 24:24Speaker 1: And Julissa, good luck to you.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I remember when I was growing up living here, living
- 24:32Speaker 1: with Tanaz and Louie. If anybody had a date, come
- 24:36Speaker 1: back with them. We put a Christmas wreath on the doorknob.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I thought it was a sock. Nope, you didn't listen
- 24:43Speaker 1: to the right show.
- 24:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm not.
- 24:45Speaker 1: It was a wreath. It could have been a tie
- 24:47Speaker 1: or a wreath.
- 24:48Speaker 5: Oh, tie, tie. Yeah, it was a tie.
- 24:50Speaker 1: But that would indicate that there's somebody there.
- 24:53Speaker 6: Right.
- 24:53Speaker 1: So, you know, not come in and be quiet and
- 24:55Speaker 1: be respectful or go somewhere else.
- 24:57Speaker 7: I just feel like freshman year of college, it's okay.
- 25:00Speaker 7: But then any year after that, it's like the bunk
- 25:01Speaker 7: beds have to go.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I think they're so cool.
- 25:04Speaker 6: On Air.
- 25:05Speaker 1: On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Olivia Rodrigo, Kiss FM. Our
- 25:12Speaker 1: intern from USC, Bella, was at the game on Saturday.
- 25:15Speaker 1: They won. Congratulations. But you had to leave early, huh?
- 25:18Speaker 3: I did.
- 25:19Speaker 9: It was way too hot to just even sit there.
- 25:22Speaker 1: But they won. And imagine playing in that heat.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 4: I couldn't even just sit there. And then my fan died.
- 25:28Speaker 4: And I was like, I'm going home.
- 25:30Speaker 1: How many fans do you have? Just one. Like the
- 25:32Speaker 1: portable fan. I'm sorry they passed. Okay. So now bring
- 25:37Speaker 1: this to the committee here. The issue about controlling the
- 25:42Speaker 1: music in the car with other people. Go ahead. Very common.
- 25:45Speaker 9: So whenever I drive, I let whoever's sitting shotgun control
- 25:49Speaker 9: the music. But my boyfriend disagrees and thinks that he
- 25:54Speaker 9: should play the music all the time.
- 25:56Speaker 1: When he's driving or when he's the passenger?
- 25:58Speaker 6: Both.
- 25:59Speaker 9: When he's driving or when I'm driving.
- 26:01Speaker 4: I get that.
- 26:01Speaker 3: That's me.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Selfish.
- 26:04Speaker 4: It's not. People enjoy it.
- 26:07Speaker 7: Even if I'm in the third row, I'm requested to
- 26:09Speaker 7: pick the music.
- 26:10Speaker 1: That's because you work at a radio station.
- 26:13Speaker 4: Well, I enjoy it too.
- 26:16Speaker 1: My rule of thumb is if you're in my car,
- 26:20Speaker 1: I play my music. Yes. If you're in my car
- 26:24Speaker 1: and I say, you know what, I want to hear
- 26:26Speaker 1: something else, you take control, then that's what you would say.
- 26:32Speaker 1: But I would not take control of the music automatically
- 26:36Speaker 1: without being invited to if I wasn't driving. But I
- 26:40Speaker 1: also don't drive with anyone else.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Yeah, you are one of those people.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I don't like to be a passenger.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Like one item in my car.
- 26:49Speaker 6: No, no, no.
- 26:50Speaker 4: He likes to be the driver. He doesn't want to
- 26:52Speaker 4: be the passenger. Right.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Exactly. Because I can't control when you turn on that
- 26:56Speaker 1: yellow and wait for it. It's like Beata. Beata drives herself.
- 26:59Speaker 7: Our boss will not take ride shares, will not get
- 27:03Speaker 7: in other people's cars.
- 27:03Speaker 4: She needs to be driving.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I have a very famous phrase. That is, I'll meet
- 27:10Speaker 1: you there. Yeah. Even if we're leaving from the same place,
- 27:13Speaker 1: I'll follow you. I'll meet you there.
- 27:15Speaker 5: It's not giving easy breezy.
- 27:17Speaker 1: It really is.
- 27:18Speaker 5: It's not.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it really is.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Does he ever give easy breezy?
- 27:20Speaker 1: No.
- 27:22Speaker 5: It's not giving laid back.
- 27:23Speaker 1: In my Reiki classes.
- 27:25Speaker 8: Reiki?
- 27:25Speaker 1: Reiki? Reiki. Yeah, I've never done one, but I've read
- 27:28Speaker 1: about them.
- 27:29Speaker 4: It's actually really cool. I've done it once.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. Okay, so driver is in charge.
- 27:34Speaker 1: That's the rule. That's what we love. So if you
- 27:40Speaker 1: have a long day, what is it you seek to
- 27:44Speaker 1: do if you didn't have to deal with people when
- 27:46Speaker 1: you got home, meaning your family or your kids or responsibilities?
- 27:51Speaker 1: If you had one night alone after a long day,
- 27:54Speaker 1: what's the first thing you would do when you got
- 27:57Speaker 1: home to relax?
- 28:00Speaker 4: I'm thinking snuggle my dog.
- 28:02Speaker 7: I think I would put on a comfy sweat set
- 28:06Speaker 7: and lay on the couch and watch Real Housewives of
- 28:09Speaker 7: Beverly Hills or something.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Just relax. Like just so my brain can turn off.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I would pour bubbles and salt into a bathtub and
- 28:18Speaker 1: slide into it and sit there while it fills hot.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Then I would wait in that tub until I was
- 28:26Speaker 1: almost sweating. Then I would get out, put on my
- 28:29Speaker 1: Uggs and order food.
- 28:31Speaker 6: Lovely.
- 28:33Speaker 1: It's quite nice.
- 28:34Speaker 4: It really is.
- 28:35Speaker 7: But I get so bored in a bath. It gets
- 28:38Speaker 7: too hot for me. I have plenty of things to
- 28:40Speaker 7: entertain me.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Do you know who's not taking a bath?
- 28:44Speaker 4: Harry Styles.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Oh, tell us about that.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:47Speaker 8: So he's in the middle of his Together Together tour,
- 28:50Speaker 8: specifically his 30 show residency at Madison Square Garden.
- 28:53Speaker 5: And he's on the cover of W Magazine.
- 28:55Speaker 8: And he revealed the one thing that he does the
- 28:57Speaker 8: second he walks off stage every single time.
- 29:01Speaker 5: He showers immediately.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Everybody does.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 1: I would hope so.
- 29:06Speaker 5: Not true.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Not true.
- 29:08Speaker 5: It's not true.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Michael Buble does. Lenny Kravitz does.
- 29:11Speaker 6: Okay.
- 29:11Speaker 4: They're dripping sweat. They need to shower.
- 29:13Speaker 5: I don't think the Jonas Brothers do.
- 29:15Speaker 2: What?
- 29:16Speaker 1: How do you know that? You don't know that.
- 29:17Speaker 8: Because the same thing that they wore- like the final
- 29:21Speaker 8: set of their.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Well, that's probably because they share a dressing room. They
- 29:24Speaker 1: can't all three shower.
- 29:26Speaker 8: Okay, so I'm just saying it's not everybody. But the
- 29:28Speaker 8: reason why he does it is important. He says, you
- 29:31Speaker 8: go backstage, you shower, and all of a sudden you're
- 29:33Speaker 8: naked in this most vulnerable, almost infant-like state of yourself.
- 29:37Speaker 8: So basically he's saying that this shower... lets him wash
- 29:41Speaker 8: it off. Like he's physically rinsing the performance persona away
- 29:44Speaker 8: so that he can go back to just being Harry.
- 29:48Speaker 8: And I love this for him because I feel like,
- 29:50Speaker 8: could you imagine going from like a stadium lights, thousands
- 29:53Speaker 8: of people screaming your name, straight into regular life, no
- 29:56Speaker 8: transition at all.
- 29:56Speaker 5: So it's kind of like an ego check for him.
- 29:58Speaker 8: The shower is him like rinsing off this like rock
- 30:00Speaker 8: star and just being able to be hairy and yeah,
- 30:03Speaker 8: being a human again.
- 30:04Speaker 1: But you know, in all the venues, the arenas, the stadiums, the,
- 30:08Speaker 1: you know, the, wherever, but he plays their shows in
- 30:11Speaker 1: the big dressing room, the star dressing room, there's always
- 30:14Speaker 1: a big shower.
- 30:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 1: It's very common. I've showered after shows before.
- 30:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Like after American Idol or wheel.
- 30:22Speaker 6: Yeah. Is it weird?
- 30:23Speaker 5: Do you want to get back to your infant-like state?
- 30:26Speaker 1: No, I want to be clean. And I want to
- 30:28Speaker 1: be clean after a long day if I have to
- 30:30Speaker 1: go somewhere. I just want to, you know.
- 30:31Speaker 7: Yeah, but is that weird to think that you're like
- 30:33Speaker 7: naked in the stadium right now and like showering while
- 30:35Speaker 7: there's other people like roaming the hallways and just doing
- 30:38Speaker 7: their business, carrying cables and stuff?
- 30:40Speaker 1: It's kind of exciting.
- 30:42Speaker 5: The thrill of it all.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Yeah, the thrill of it all. It's dangerous, you know,
- 30:46Speaker 1: living on the edge. It's Kiss FM. Seacrest with you.
- 30:51Speaker 1: We've got Griselda and Downey on the phone. Griselda, good morning.
- 30:54Speaker 1: How are you?
- 30:54Speaker 3: I'm doing well.
- 30:55Speaker 9: How are you?
- 30:56Speaker 1: Super good. Do you want a four-pack to Universal Studios
- 30:59Speaker 1: Halloween Horror Nights?
- 31:02Speaker 6: Yes, I do. All right, hit it.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Halloween Horror Nights food, real or made up? All right,
- 31:09Speaker 1: this is going to be a fun game. It's called
- 31:11Speaker 1: Halloween Horror Nights Food, Real or Made Up. The names
- 31:14Speaker 1: of the food items at Halloween Horror Nights are over
- 31:17Speaker 1: the top. So you decide if the item we give
- 31:20Speaker 1: you is a real food item available at this year's
- 31:22Speaker 1: Halloween Horror Nights or if we made it up here
- 31:25Speaker 1: as a staff. Okay, you ready?
- 31:27Speaker 6: I'm ready.
- 31:28Speaker 1: First one, Gut Wound. Gut Wound, a raspberry chocolate croissant
- 31:34Speaker 1: shaped like intestines. Is that real or made up?
- 31:37Speaker 3: Yum.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Made up? No, it's real.
- 31:43Speaker 6: Yep.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Okay, next one. Road scrapings. Road scrapings. Fries, gravy, chicken,
- 31:49Speaker 1: and onions. Is that real at Halloween Horror Nights or
- 31:51Speaker 1: made up?
- 31:53Speaker 2: That sounds real.
- 31:54Speaker 1: It's real. Remember, these are going to be gross foods
- 31:56Speaker 1: because it's Horror Nights. So, next one. Dead man's fingers.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Dead man's fingers. Five churros. Decorated. As fingers with strawberry
- 32:10Speaker 1: sauce dripping as blood. Real. No, we actually made that
- 32:16Speaker 1: one up.
- 32:17Speaker 5: Sounds so good, though.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Okay. Just stay in it. Skin and chips nachos. Spicy
- 32:26Speaker 1: pork rinds with cheese and beef jerky. Real or made
- 32:29Speaker 1: up Halloween Horror Night food?
- 32:32Speaker 4: Real.
- 32:34Speaker 1: It is real.
- 32:36Speaker 8: Correct.
- 32:38Speaker 1: For the win, Maggot Mac Attack. Mac and cheese topped
- 32:45Speaker 1: with crispy white rice noodles, garlic breadcrumbs, and green chili sauce.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Maggot Mac Attack. Is it real or made up?
- 32:57Speaker 6: Real.
- 33:00Speaker 1: We actually made that up.
- 33:01Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 33:02Speaker 3: You're going to make it up.
- 33:04Speaker 1: But I don't know. It's only four tickets. Yeah, you
- 33:07Speaker 1: take it anyway. That was tricky. Yeah, Universal Studios, you
- 33:10Speaker 1: take the tickets. Enjoy Halloween Horror Nights. Select nights Thursday
- 33:14Speaker 1: through November 1st, okay? Wow.
- 33:16Speaker 6: We're there. Oh, my God.
- 33:17Speaker 1: You guys are awesome. Thank you so much. You are
- 33:19Speaker 1: very welcome. Thank you for listening to Kiss FM.
- 33:21Speaker 6: Of course.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Love you guys. Love you. It's Kiss. On air with
- 33:28Speaker 1: Ryan Seacrest. You're on Kiss. Jacob on the phone. Let
- 33:33Speaker 1: me grab him. He's in Long Beach. Jacob, accidentally.
- 33:37Speaker 6: Hi there. Hi there.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Good morning. You accidentally unmatched on Hinge. What happened?
- 33:43Speaker 2: So I matched with this woman and her profile had
- 33:47Speaker 2: a little note that said no casual dating. And I'm
- 33:51Speaker 2: totally fine with that. I'm looking for a relationship too, though.
- 33:56Speaker 2: But I was going too fast and accidentally hit unmatched
- 33:59Speaker 2: instead of acknowledge.
- 34:00Speaker 9: Oh.
- 34:02Speaker 2: And she probably thinks I saw the no casual thing and,
- 34:06Speaker 2: and bailed because I was just looking for a hookup,
- 34:08Speaker 2: but that's not it at all. I actually want to
- 34:12Speaker 2: find her again. You know, I know her first name,
- 34:17Speaker 2: what she does for work and a couple other things
- 34:19Speaker 2: from her profile, but I don't know her last name or,
- 34:22Speaker 2: or like have any way to contact her.
- 34:25Speaker 6: So what, what do I do?
- 34:27Speaker 2: You know, is there some way to get her back
- 34:29Speaker 2: on the app or am I like, Blocked forever.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Well, how about, can you just put her name out here?
- 34:35Speaker 5: Well, he doesn't know her last name.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Well, what's her first name?
- 34:40Speaker 6: Melissa.
- 34:41Speaker 1: And what do you know about her?
- 34:45Speaker 2: That she works in the visual art field in downtown LA.
- 34:53Speaker 1: And what does she look like?
- 34:57Speaker 6: Oh, she is.
- 34:58Speaker 2: She's a brunette of curly hair.
- 35:03Speaker 1: OK, well, look, I think we might be able to
- 35:05Speaker 1: somebody's got to know Melissa. Somebody's got to have heard
- 35:09Speaker 1: of that person in that description. I mean, I remember
- 35:12Speaker 1: one time not too long ago, someone called in. They
- 35:16Speaker 1: lost their dog in L.A. We put it out there.
- 35:19Speaker 1: And someone was listening, driving past their dog miles away,
- 35:24Speaker 1: and we returned the dog. That could be your Melissa story.
- 35:27Speaker 8: Do you remember when I met a guy out? I
- 35:30Speaker 8: was out, and I got his first name, and I
- 35:32Speaker 8: knew what he did for work. Patty somehow found.
- 35:36Speaker 5: Him on the internet and connected us, and we went out.
- 35:39Speaker 1: So this can happen.
- 35:40Speaker 4: Yes, it can.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Melissa, visual arts, DTLA, brunette, curly hair. I mean, there's
- 35:46Speaker 1: only one. We're going to put your phone number down
- 35:50Speaker 1: here and we'll call you back. But yeah, not too
- 35:53Speaker 1: long ago, we found that lost dog in a big city.
- 35:57Speaker 6: Okay.
- 35:59Speaker 4: Stay hopeful.
- 36:01Speaker 2: All right.
- 36:01Speaker 3: Yes.
- 36:02Speaker 6: Okay.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Hold on one second. We'll get all the information.
- 36:05Speaker 4: I think that dog situation was like 10 years ago.
- 36:09Speaker 1: It seems like it was not too long. Was it
- 36:11Speaker 1: a decade ago? I can confirm June 5th, 2015.
- 36:13Speaker 9: 2015.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Mark, I mean like yesterday. It was such a great story.
- 36:19Speaker 4: Yeah, those things stand out.
- 36:20Speaker 1: I wake up every day thinking about it.
- 36:21Speaker 6: 2.7.
- 36:22Speaker 1: It is Kiss FM. Non-stop kiss music on the way.
- 36:29Speaker 1: So inside the free iHeartRadio app, you can leave us
- 36:30Speaker 1: these voice notes, these talkbacks. I got some, Sisney and Tanya.
- 36:33Speaker 1: This is from Allison in the 818. She has some
- 36:37Speaker 1: issues with my comments about yoga. Hey, Ryan.
- 36:40Speaker 3: I was listening to you talk about yoga, and that
- 36:43Speaker 3: was all sorts of wrong.
- 36:45Speaker 2: You need to practice a stanga. A stanga is where
- 36:48Speaker 2: all the yoga came from. I could teach you if
- 36:51Speaker 2: you want, or you could come to the shala is
- 36:53Speaker 2: what we call it.
- 36:54Speaker 4: And yes, we do call it a practice.
- 36:56Speaker 1: What is a stanga?
- 36:58Speaker 5: And what's a shala?
- 37:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know these terms. Can you
- 37:03Speaker 1: look up a stanga?
- 37:04Speaker 4: She's saying that's where yoga came from?
- 37:07Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 37:08Speaker 1: A stanga yoga is a dynamic, fast-paced style of yoga
- 37:12Speaker 1: that follows a fixed, repeating sequence. Sorry, you may have
- 37:17Speaker 1: missed that part. Allison, I don't want intense. I just
- 37:22Speaker 1: want to almost have meditative stretch, fall asleep, take a
- 37:26Speaker 1: nap yoga.
- 37:28Speaker 4: That doesn't sound like it.
- 37:29Speaker 1: That's what I need. This is from Judith in Corona.
- 37:33Speaker 1: She's single. She's loving it. Hey, I just want to
- 37:36Speaker 1: let you.
- 37:36Speaker 4: Know about the subject about being single. I love it.
- 37:39Speaker 4: A lot of people do because they don't have to
- 37:41Speaker 4: report to anybody. They don't have to be home at
- 37:43Speaker 4: a certain time. Oh, my gosh.
- 37:45Speaker 5: Stress, stress, stress.
- 37:46Speaker 4: I got to be home for dinner.
- 37:47Speaker 3: No, I'm good.
- 37:49Speaker 5: So anybody that is single.
- 37:51Speaker 1: High five. Yeah, here's the thing. I've been there and
- 37:55Speaker 1: not there, Judith. That won't last. Here's the next one.
- 37:59Speaker 1: A really nice message from Nino and Regina. who've been
- 38:02Speaker 1: living in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for 16 years. I
