- 1:24Speaker 5: after work, I'd come home and I would get on
- 1:27Speaker 5: the game for hours, and you know, the weekend, they
- 1:30Speaker 5: became like marathons while I was just playing online all
- 1:33Speaker 5: week and you know, I used to even get up early,
- 1:36Speaker 5: but I was addicted.
- 1:37Speaker 4: I was obsessed.
- 1:37Speaker 5: I would get up before work and play some play
- 1:40Speaker 5: on games, play Call of Duty for a little bit.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I know how people.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I know people do this so because they are very
- 1:46Speaker 2: I mean, my son played Fortnite for a long time
- 1:48Speaker 2: and I started to get into it.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I'm like, I gotta stop. I'm a grown man. Really
- 1:51Speaker 3: yeah yeah, oh, Billy would be on Yeah. I started
- 1:54Speaker 3: cussing out ten year old online. I'm like, what am
- 1:57Speaker 3: I doing? What is my life?
- 1:59Speaker 4: Wow?
- 2:00Speaker 3: So your wife said enough is enough the kids?
- 2:03Speaker 5: Yeah, she said, that's this. She goes, I can't watch
- 2:05Speaker 5: a grown man play video games. Twenty four to seven.
- 2:08Speaker 4: She said, it's the most unattractive thing she's ever seen.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Okay, is it really?
- 2:13Speaker 2: Because I I do like, I know a lot of
- 2:15Speaker 2: friends of mine who are grown ups who game, and
- 2:17Speaker 2: I always wonder how their wives feel about it, and
- 2:19Speaker 2: somewhere I'm sure supported, but it cannas as a woman.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Is it unattractive if a guy plays a grown man
- 2:24Speaker 2: plays video games?
- 2:26Speaker 1: I mean here and there, I don't have a problem
- 2:28Speaker 1: with it. But if you're spending you know, every day
- 2:30Speaker 1: you're making time, the weekends, are these marathons like you're
- 2:33Speaker 1: talking about. Yeah, I'm really questioning what what your priorities.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Are in life? Does it also depend on what video game? Yeah? Probably,
- 2:40Speaker 3: like if you're grown, if you're grown and you're playing Rodbox, Yeah, yeah,
- 2:44Speaker 3: that's a little Chris.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Okay, so she said that, and you said, okay, let's
- 2:49Speaker 2: figure this out.
- 2:50Speaker 5: You know, I was a little embarrassed, and and you know,
- 2:53Speaker 5: I was like, you know what, Bay find, I'll stop playing,
- 2:56Speaker 5: And I did.
- 2:57Speaker 4: I just stopped playing at home. What I didn't tell
- 2:59Speaker 4: her is, you know the PlayStation of work?
- 3:01Speaker 3: Oh did you really?
- 3:07Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 3:07Speaker 5: Yeah, so my my PS five is at work and
- 3:10Speaker 5: every now and then I'll be like, hey, I got
- 3:11Speaker 5: to stay late and finish a project, but I'm just
- 3:14Speaker 5: dimming the lights in the office and playing tele gime.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Oh my god, you're staying late at work to play
- 3:22Speaker 2: video games and telling her you're working late.
- 3:25Speaker 4: That's that's bit. Yeah, that's a problem. It's better than cheating.
- 3:30Speaker 3: It is better than cheating.
- 3:31Speaker 1: But I mean there's always worse though, Yeah, it could
- 3:35Speaker 1: be worse.
- 3:36Speaker 3: This is bad.
- 3:37Speaker 4: I don't think it's that bad.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Like it's not like we have kids or anything, Okay,
- 3:41Speaker 5: And I'm not out like at the bars getting messed
- 3:43Speaker 5: up or anything.
- 3:44Speaker 4: I'm just playing video games.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I'm not saying she should cut you off completely, but
- 3:49Speaker 2: staying late, Like if you're doing this a couple of
- 3:51Speaker 2: times a week, that's hours away from her, right and
- 3:54Speaker 2: you're hiding it.
- 3:56Speaker 3: That's where it gets weird to me personally.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I understand it's strange. That's why I
- 4:02Speaker 4: called you guys to talk about it.
- 4:03Speaker 5: But also like, I don't know I'm banned at the
- 4:06Speaker 5: house estcially, like I knew at.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Home I was overdoing it.
- 4:10Speaker 5: I was overdoing it at the house, but I should
- 4:12Speaker 5: feel like I should still be allowed to play sometimes
- 4:15Speaker 5: she basically wants me to just quit completely.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Well, because it's like an addiction.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it is.
- 4:20Speaker 2: You know, Candas what if Eric, your husband came to
- 4:22Speaker 2: you and was like, hey, you know what, I've been
- 4:24Speaker 2: saying that I'm going on in car rides with the
- 4:26Speaker 2: guys in our Porsche club. But really I've been going
- 4:29Speaker 2: to a gaming facility and playing Minecraft.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Oh that's weird.
- 4:36Speaker 3: What if he likes it though?
- 4:37Speaker 1: Well, I mean, why is he going to a gaming
- 4:39Speaker 1: facility and telling me he's out with his buddies, his
- 4:41Speaker 1: car guys because.
- 4:42Speaker 2: He knows that you're not gonna want him to play
- 4:44Speaker 2: at home? Right if he says, hey, you know what,
- 4:47Speaker 2: end Zo leave me alone. Can't just leave me alone.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I'm gonna go in the other room and I got
- 4:50Speaker 2: to play my video games for a couple hours.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Well what am I doing for a few hours?
- 4:53Speaker 3: I don't care what you do. Yeah, this is me
- 4:56Speaker 3: in my roblocks time.
- 4:59Speaker 4: No, I mean but she but she made she asked
- 5:03Speaker 4: the right question.
- 5:03Speaker 5: She said, what am I doing for those hours?
- 5:05Speaker 4: But like a.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Relationship is two individuals coming together, you have to have
- 5:10Speaker 5: your own individual time. And for me, it's like it's
- 5:14Speaker 5: relaxing it's playing call of duty at work lying or
- 5:17Speaker 5: is it self care?
- 5:18Speaker 3: Oh? Oh self?
- 5:22Speaker 1: I mean, I guess everybody's version of self care is different.
- 5:25Speaker 1: But I mean you don't feel like you're addicted.
- 5:29Speaker 4: I mean, the people who are addicted never admit it.
- 5:32Speaker 4: I would say I'm very obsessed with it. But also
- 5:35Speaker 4: like I was able to not do it at the house.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well that's okay. All right, I'm gonna see what
- 5:40Speaker 3: ladies thing.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna see if any other women experience this problem
- 5:43Speaker 2: where they have to cut their grown.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Grown men, my own husbands and boyfriends off from video games.
- 5:49Speaker 3: We'll see what they say.
- 5:50Speaker 2: But hey, we do appreciate your secret, and thank you
- 5:53Speaker 2: for being honest with us.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Thank you, guys. It was good talking to you too.
- 5:57Speaker 3: I've just never really been into video games. Yeah, so
- 5:59Speaker 3: I don't have to worry you about it.
- 6:00Speaker 2: But you know, like I remember one time this girl
- 6:02Speaker 2: that I know, she was like, oh my god, this
- 6:04Speaker 2: guy told me for a first date that I should
- 6:07Speaker 2: come over.
- 6:07Speaker 3: We could have some drinks and play Mario Kart.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Oh that's not her thing.
- 6:12Speaker 2: It was not her thing, And I was like, dude,
- 6:14Speaker 2: that sounds awesome. But for the first date no yeah second,
- 6:20Speaker 2: okay better
