  The snow is melting. I'm starting to see a little bit

  of grass in my backyard. So that tells you spring is on

  the way. But we do have a great time of

  year to be betting on sports because as the month of February

  rolls to an end, we got baseball right around the corner.

  I'm actually going to give you a thought on MLB spring training,
• 1:04
  whether to bet it or to not bet it.

  Remember Shakespeare said to be or not to be that is the

  question. Well to bet MLB spring training
• 1:11
  or not bet MLB spring training that is the question for a lot
• 1:14
  of betters and I have an answer for you, at least from my
• 1:16
  perspective. But it also means that
• 1:19
  conference tournaments right around the corner.

  March Madness is right around the corner.

  So it's exciting time here to get right back into the sports
• 1:26
  betting arena and hopefully we can keep our winning streak
• 1:29
  going because had a great night last night. 3 and O bust out the
• 1:32
  brooms plus 2.2 units. Had a couple good wins late
• 1:36
  night. San Diego State and UNLV both
• 1:39
  coming through with sharp line moves.
• 1:41
  And as always, money line short favorites.
• 1:44
  Because the Cincinnati Bearcats. They end up winning by two.
• 1:48
  Why is that important? Because we money lined them.
• 1:50
  They could win by 1/2 or 100. As long as your money line, you
• 1:53
  win. Unfortunately for those of you
• 1:55
  who might have laid the spread -2 1/2 you lost because they
• 1:58
  only won by two and there's a chance there for a guy in the
• 2:01
  Bearcats to hit a free throw to make it a three-point game.

  Everyone would have been happy. But that's just goes goes to
• 2:07
  show you. This is why always money line
• 2:09
  short favorites I can count on, you know, basically two hands,
• 2:13
  hands and feet at this point when it comes to plays that we
• 2:16
  talked about on the pod where if you laid the points you would
• 2:18
  have lost. If you paid up for the little
• 2:20
  bit of a money line juice price, you would have cash.

  But either way guys, good to see us bust out the brooms and have
• 2:26
  a sweep last night. 3 and O + 2.2 units.

  So with that being said, we're going to get right back to

  college basketball tonight because there's a big slate
• 2:35
  about 54 games across the market.

  And as always, I got another, another three pack for you.

  You can sweep 3 and O grind out two and one.

  You know, if things don't go your way, the worst you can do

  is O and 3:00. So I always like having kind of

  And then sometimes you're happy when you go 3 and O.

  So a three pack overall with some short favorites here once

  again and some really good rhythm edges, and one in

  particular has a huge Ken Palm edge.

  basketball games for tonight. Now I mentioned a little bit

  about spring training. I want to give you guys just

  some thoughts on spring training because I've had a few people
• 3:16
  reach out to me and say, hey, like, are you #1 do you bet
• 3:18
  spring training? Are you going to talk about it
• 3:20
  on the pod? I wanted to at least address it
• 3:24
  or mention it like those of you who you know have been grinding
• 3:26
  with me for a while. You probably know this answer.
• 3:28
  But if you're new, maybe this is news to you.
• 3:30
  Which is totally cool, but I do not bet MLB Spring Training.
• 3:34
  Now, I know a lot of people who do.
• 3:36
  I know some people have pretty good success with it, but I
• 3:39
  would argue that it is just too unknown when it comes to MLB
• 3:44
  Spring Training because you are putting in a lot of guys who
• 3:47
  you've never heard of. You know, minor leaguers, you
• 3:51
  have some starters who play, they get pulled very early.
• 3:53
  There's just a ton of volatility and a ton of just unexpected
• 3:57
  outcomes. So to me, you know, I want to
• 4:00
  use the spring training period, not to bet on these games, but
• 4:04
  to monitor the clubs, get some reports from, you know, local
• 4:08
  beat reporters on the ground. What's going on with these
• 4:10
  teams. Also, it makes me or it allows
• 4:13
  me to, you know, continue to look at some win totals.
• 4:16
  I'm already holding Red Sox over 85 1/2 as well as the Rangers
• 4:20
  over 85 1/2. So throughout spring training,
• 4:23
  maybe we'll get some insight in a fret, another fresh batch of
• 4:25
  data from my buddy John Ewing at Bet MGM, where we can maybe add
• 4:28
  another win total or a futures bet or maybe a particular player
• 4:32
  that you want to take a shot on to win an award.
• 4:35
  But I just don't bet spring training to me long ago, someone
• 4:39
  always told me it's a he was a great mentor of mine.
• 4:41
  He said, Josh, always try to maximize your edge.
• 4:44
  If you feel like you have an edge, maximize it.
• 4:46
  If you feel like you don't have an edge layoff.
• 4:49
  So to me, when it comes to spring training, I feel like I
• 4:52
  just don't have an edge. You don't even know who's
• 4:54
  playing these games. They can be very unpredictable.
• 4:58
  Sometimes there's even ties, which screw some some things up.
• 5:00
  Every now and again I've had people say, hey, just take the
• 5:03
  dog every game because you're plus money and it's a coin flip.
• 5:06
  But a lot of data doesn't really bear that out.
• 5:09
  So with that being said, I don't want to risk my hard earned
• 5:12
  units on a sport or a, you know, preseason in which really I just
• 5:17
  feel like I don't have an edge to take advantage of.
• 5:19
  Like, you know, from my perspective, the edge right now
• 5:21
  is in college basketball. We're getting close to March
• 5:24
  Madness here. We're at the tail end of the
• 5:26
  season. We have a lot of data and
• 5:27
  information on these teams. We have great resources like
• 5:30
  Rhythm and Ken Palm to lean on and the betting market as well.
• 5:34
  So just in terms of where should we place our money?
• 5:37
  To me, it's a no brainer to stick with college hoops versus
• 5:40
  layering in some MLB. Like for example, what if we
• 5:42
  had, you know, three MLB plays in spring training today and
• 5:45
  three college We go 3 and O in college, we go one and two or O
• 5:48
  and three and MLB we went from a winning night to a push or, or
• 5:52
  losing night. So that's my perspective.

  You know, you may disagree. That's OK.
• 5:56
  I do want to mention though, if, if, if, if, if you do want to
• 6:01
  bet MLB Spring training, you got to have a live odds page.

  like the under and you find a 9 instead of 8 1/2.

  At least the one thing you can do, even though it's an

  unpredictable market is to monitor the market, do your best

  to shop for the best line and get the best price, which you
• 6:51
  can do with odds logic. So I've had a lot of people

  us some money right now and that is the sport that I think we can

  hopefully take advantage of the most.

  So that being said, three pack overall, I'm going to start off

  with an early game that is a classic added game, extra game,
• 7:59
  sharp line move. And then we're going to look at
• 8:01
  some late night sweats here on the West Coast.
• 8:04
  So out of three plays tonight, first one for me, we're going to
• 8:07
  look at a 7:00 game Radford at Gardner Webb.
• 8:11
  Now let's set the stage. Talk about some line movement,
• 8:14
  betting system matches, bet splits, and I'll tell you who
• 8:16
  I'm going with this one. So coming into it, we have
• 8:19
  Radford, 17 and 12 on the year. They've been kind of
• 8:22
  inconsistent. They've rotated wins and losses.
• 8:24
  They'll win, they'll lose the win, they'll lose back and forth
• 8:27
  over the last eight games. They just lost to Presbyterian
• 8:30
  80 to 73. They lost outright as a 6 1/2
• 8:33
  point home favorite in that one. Meanwhile, Gardner Webb, 10 and
• 8:36
  17 on the air and they've struggled overall losing streak
• 8:41
  or overall losing record this year, seven games below 500 and
• 8:45
  they've dropped five of their last six.
• 8:46
  Just got crushed by high point 90 to 67 did not cover as an 8
• 8:50
  point home dog. So what are we seeing across the
• 8:53
  market here? Well, pretty consistent one way
• 8:55
  movement in favor of Radford. So this game open Radford a very
• 9:00
  short 1 1/2 point Rd. favorite and we've now seen Radford get
• 9:04
  that up to -2 -, 2 1/2. So why is that notable?
• 9:08
  Because this is an added game, extra game.
• 9:09
  Game three O 656-930-6570 What do we always talk about with

  these tiny little added game extra games?
• 9:16
  They're hard to find on your betting app.
• 9:18
  They're not on TV. You walk into a bar, you know
• 9:20
  they're going to look at your sideways if you say put on the
• 9:22
  Radford game and as a result, they're low bet.
• 9:25
  So the public doesn't care about this these tiny little games.
• 9:28
  But we always mention the fact that if you see a line move on
• 9:31
  these tiny little matchups, it's really not the public causing
• 9:34
  the move. It's going to be wise guys who,
• 9:36
  again, have mapped the game, find an edge there with their
• 9:40
  power ratings and they're saying, hey, even though this is
• 9:42
  a tiny game that no one cares about from a betting public
• 9:44
  perspective, we see an edge. So we're going to move that
• 9:47
  number. And remember, wise guys, sharps,
• 9:49
  pros, whatever you want to call them, They don't care if it's,
• 9:51
  you know, Duke, Kentucky or Radford, Gardner Webb.
• 9:54
  If they feel like they have an edge and advantage over the
• 9:56
  book, they're going to hit it. So obscure sharp line move
• 10:00
  toward Radford. Then we look at some of these
• 10:02
  bet splits that look pretty good on Radford.
• 10:04
  At DraftKings. Radford is getting 68% of spread
• 10:07
  bets, 76% of spread dollars. So good low bets, higher dollar
• 10:11
  split. And again, 68% technically
• 10:14
  public. But as we mentioned, small game
• 10:17
  here, not a lot of public participation.
• 10:19
  So that tells me it's really heavy pro action going on
• 10:22
  Radford. Now our buddy Ken Palm has
• 10:24
  Radford winning by three points. Again, they're -2 -, 2 1/2 in
• 10:28
  the market. So if you want to lay the 2 1/2
• 10:31
  or the two and get -110 OK, all the power to you.

  I hope they win by three. But just what happened with
• 10:36
  Cincinnati last night? I ain't laying 2 1/2 here.

  So I got Radford on the money line.
• 10:41
  Sharp around. I got Radford at -140 that's
• 10:45
  pretty much still available across the market.
• 10:46
  Not a very expensive juice price.
• 10:49
  And if you'll get the bet split at DraftKings, 65% bets, nearly
• 10:54
  70% of the money is on the Radford money line.

  So in a tiny little game like this, we got some pretty good
• 10:59
  low bets, higher dollars spread and money line splits in favor
• 11:02
  of Radford. Now couple paths to victory,
• 11:05
  hopefully for Radford. One, better offensive
• 11:07
  efficiency. They ranked 117th versus Gardner
• 11:11
  Webb, ranking 215th. They have the better defensive
• 11:13
  efficiency. They ranked 235th versus Gardner
• 11:16
  Webb, 288th. They shoot the three better, 36%
• 11:20
  versus 34%. And hopefully this bodes well
• 11:23
  for us if it's a tight game, 75% versus 70%.
• 11:28
  When it comes to shooting from the free throw line, Radford
• 11:31
  also does a better job at not turning it over.
• 11:33
  So taking care of the ball. They rank 233 in the country.
• 11:36
  Doesn't sound great, but Garden Webb ranks 342 in the country.
• 11:40
  And Radford is also better at forcing turnovers.
• 11:43
  They ranked 218th versus 300 and 31st for Gardner Webb.
• 11:47
  Lastly, we look at our friends at Rhythm.

  They have Radford -2.9, so it's a low bet, tiny little
• 11:54
  overlooked matchup. Public doesn't care about it,
• 11:56
  but we care about it because wise guys have taken a position
• 11:59
  on Radford. We got a Ken Palm edge, a rhythm
• 12:01
  edge, good bet, splits, good line movement, a bunch of stat
• 12:05
  advantages here. So my first play of the night,
• 12:08
  hopefully we can start with a win straight up on the money
• 12:10
  line for Radford. By the way, they are the
• 12:14
  Highlanders, I believe. I believe, I think so, but give
• 12:17
  me Radford regardless of their mascot on the money line -140
• 12:22
  now 2 late games tonight. Next one up for me 11:00 Eastern
• 12:26
  Time, SMU and California. So going this one.

  We have SMU pretty good year 20 and seven overall, but maybe a
• 12:34
  buy low spot for SMU because they've dropped two of their
• 12:36
  last three. They just lost to Clemson 79 to
• 12:39
  69, did not cover as a 1 1/2 point home dog.
• 12:42
  Meanwhile, Cal 12 and 15 on the year, they've lost four
• 12:46
  straight, just came up short against Stanford 66 to 61, but
• 12:49
  they did cover as a 6 1/2 point Rd. dog.
• 12:51
  So what are we seeing across the market here?

  Well, pretty much one way movement in favor of SMUSMU open
• 12:59
  this game as a short 2 1/2 point Rd. favorite.

  And wise guys seem to think that opener was a bit low because
• 13:04
  they got down hard on SMU steaming the Mustangs up -2 1/2
• 13:08
  to -3 1/2. I see some juiced up 3 1/2's,
• 13:11
  like it may even go to four. So it's been pretty consistent
• 13:15
  from open a current in favor of SMU.
• 13:17
  Now if you look at DraftKings, SMU is getting 82% of spread
• 13:21
  bets, 84% of spread dollars. At Circa, they're getting 84% of
• 13:25
  spread bets, 82% of spread dollars.
• 13:28
  So I will admit I don't love that SMU is getting 82% of bets.

  You know, typically I want to be on the contrarian side, but I
• 13:35
  really respect this line move toward SMU and the other angle
• 13:38
  here, which again, I don't want to be on 82%.

  I'm just a contrarian. That that does scare me a bit
• 13:43
  because I know I'm going to have people shout out, shout out to
• 13:46
  me and say you're on SMU, they're getting 80%.
• 13:49
  What's what? What do you know?

  Aren't you going against your beliefs?

  Yeah, I don't like that. But here's why I still think

  it's worth a play because not only is the line moving toward
• 13:58
  SMU, but Ken Palm has SMU winning by 6.

  So that gives me a little more kind of confidence here to go

  with SMU, especially on the money line.

  There's a money line play for me.
• 14:09
  So I got SMU at FanDuel earlier today.

  I got them at -156 they're a little bit higher now.

  I want to say they're like closer to -165 -, 170.

  So of course, shop around, get the best number that you can.

  But if you have a line move, if you have a Ken Palm edge
• 14:29
  predicted to win by 6, hey, that kind of overrules a little bit
• 14:33
  to me being on quote UN quote the public side, which again, I

  don't like. But you know, hey, at least we

  got a good edge from Ken Palm if you look at the money line
• 14:40
  splits. So the other question is, hey,
• 14:42
  Ken Palms got him by 6 and why not just lay the 3 1/2 to me?

  That just gives me more confidence to go money line,
• 14:47
  protect myself. Let's just win the damn game,
• 14:50
  especially when crazy things happen with missed free throws
• 14:53
  and three pointers at the buzzer.
• 14:55
  So let's just protect ourselves and go money line here.

  That's what I'm going to do. I already have done, I guess,
• 15:01
  DraftKings by the way, SMU 91% of money line bets, nearly 95%
• 15:06
  of money line dollars. So further evidence of the
• 15:08
  bigger sharper wagers going Mustangs money line and SMU has
• 15:12
  a lot of advantages here. Better offensive efficiency,
• 15:15
  26th in the country versus 96th for Cal better defensive
• 15:19
  efficiency, huge edge here, 78th versus 185th.
• 15:23
  Better effective field goal percentage, 55% versus 48%,
• 15:28
  better offensive rebound percentage, 38% versus 35%.

  And a big edge 3 point shooting, 38% versus 32%.

  And also SMU makes it difficult on their opponent to make shots.

  They're limiting their opponents to an effective field goal
• 15:42
  percentage of 47% versus Cal allowing 53%.

  You also get conference play, you know, do you get up and play

  well in these games? Well, you look at SMU, they are

  11:00 and 5:00 in conference play.

  So SMU has done very well in these conference games.

  On the flip side, we have Cal just 5 and 11 in conference

  plays and conference matchups. And then also let's look at our

  friends at Rhythm. They have SMU -4.1.

  So we got Ken Palm with SMU by 6.

  We have Rhythm SMU by 4. Yes, we're quote UN quote public

  here, but it looks like pro and Joe where the public just says

  We also feel based on our data, that SMU is a value play based

  San Francisco at Oregon State now, another 11:00 game here

  tonight. Let's set the stage.

  San Fran comes in 22 and 7 on the year.

  They've won two straight, just took down Pacific 71 to 58,

  didn't cover, though. They're favored by 15 1/2 at
• 16:56
  home in that one. You know, Oregon State, 20 and

  9. They've won three in a row, just
• 17:01
  held off San Diego 83 to 73, but did not cover as an 11 1/2 point
• 17:06
  favorite. So what do we see across the
• 17:08
  market here? Well, Oregon State, the Beavers
• 17:11
  open this game as a very short 2 1/2 point home favorite.

  And wise guys seem to think, hey, that opener was a bit
• 17:17
  short. Pros got down hard on the
• 17:19
  Beavers, steamed Oregon State up -2 1/2 up to -3 or -3 1/2 across
• 17:25
  the market. Now, if we look at the bet
• 17:27
  splits here, they look pretty good on Oregon State.

  At DraftKings, they're getting 65% of spread bets, nearly 80%
• 17:34
  of spread dollars. At Circa, Oregon State is
• 17:37
  getting 66% of spread bets, but over 90% of spread dollars.

  So let's talk about, you know, comparing the DraftKings and
• 17:44
  Circa splits. The DraftKings is a contrarian
• 17:47
  play. Circa is a low bets, higher
• 17:48
  dollars play. But I do like it sometimes when
• 17:51
  the line move is basically at both books a low bets, higher
• 17:55
  dollars bets. But it tells me that, hey, you
• 17:56
  know, regardless of the national DraftKings or sharp Circa book,
• 18:00
  you know, pros are kind of leaning in the same direction.

  Now, Ken Palm does have Oregon State winning by two.
• 18:05
  So you guys know the drill there minus -3 -, 3 1/2.

  So there's a money line play for me.

  I got Oregon State little bit earlier today at -152 that was

  also at at FanDuel. It's not too far off things
• 18:18
  around -160 now across the market.

  But as always, shop for the best number.

  But if you look at the splits here at DraftKings, 72% bets,
• 18:27
  nearly 80% of the money is on the Oregon State money line.

  Telling us that, again, pros are looking to mitigate some risk

  and just say win the damn game. Oregon State some good, some
• 18:37
  good advantages here tonight, 1:00.

  They have the better offensive efficiency, 47th in the country
• 18:42
  versus 92nd for San Fran. Effective field goal percentage,
• 18:46
  55% versus 53%. Hopefully an advantage on the
• 18:50
  offensive boards. Get some extra possessions, 37%
• 18:53
  versus 34%. And here's a big discrepancy.

  Free throw shooting again, huge when you're when you're when the

  team you're betting on can knock down free throws and the
• 19:02
  opponent misses theirs 80% pretty that's pretty good for

  Oregon State as a team. Only 71% from the free throw

  line for the Dons. Oregon State has been really

  good at home this year, 15 and two at home.

  Hopefully that continues tonight.

  San Fran is just four and five on the road.

  And also this is a revenge spot for Oregon State.

  They went to San Fran earlier this year mid January and they

  lost 81 to 70. So hopefully they have that

  revenge on their mind as they host San Fran here tonight.

  Lastly, our friends at Rhythm have Oregon State -2.7 again.

  You're pretty much 3 1/2 now, so it's not a huge edge, but when

  I'm looking at that prediction here, if you're laying the

  is which is fine with me. So Long story short, sharp line

  move again, no real buy back on San Fran.
