- 1:02Speaker 2: It is going to be a ton of fun. It's
- 1:05Speaker 2: Danny and Cole.
- 1:06Speaker 3: They did what?
- 1:08Speaker 4: There are a lot of criminals who want to have
- 1:10Speaker 4: a trademark. You think wet bandits, home alone, right? But
- 1:15Speaker 4: doesn't it just make them easier to track down? Eventually,
- 1:18Speaker 4: a man has been dining and dashing in Florida. He's
- 1:21Speaker 4: mostly just been going to the bar, ordering a few drinks,
- 1:26Speaker 4: and then he leaves without paying. But what he does
- 1:29Speaker 4: is he leaves his crossword there to make it look
- 1:31Speaker 4: like he's going to come back.
- 1:33Speaker 3: And then he just.
- 1:36Speaker 4: They have been calling him the crossword bandit. The police
- 1:43Speaker 4: caught him after.
- 1:45Speaker 3: He hopped on a bike and tried to get away
- 1:47Speaker 3: from one of the bars.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Need a better getaway car crossword bandit.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Annie and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Giving you a chance to win for spooky season.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Can you name that scream this morning? You're going to
- 2:15Speaker 4: text your answer to us.
- 2:18Speaker 3: 317-663-9797. Let's take a listen to it. Pleasure to meet you, sir.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Now, I thought this one might be a little harder.
- 2:29Speaker 2: So for you 90s gals.
- 2:33Speaker 3: It took me a second, and then I figured it out.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It had the best, like, five-second cameo of one of
- 2:40Speaker 1: the hottest boys.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Who comes in at the end.
- 2:44Speaker 2: In the end, for the kiss.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Andy's scream bar passes off for grabs, so you can
- 2:50Speaker 2: name that scream. We'll do it one more time for you.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Pleasure to meet you, sir.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Ah! Ah!
- 2:58Speaker 2: He's friendly.
- 2:59Speaker 1: 97.1 Hank FM with Annie and Cole. Give it a
- 3:03Speaker 1: chance to win indie Scream Park passes all this week.
- 3:08Speaker 4: This one, you've been grabbing them all this week. And
- 3:12Speaker 4: usually I know them within like a second.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Yeah. I had to think about this one for a minute.
- 3:18Speaker 2: But I think I've got it.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I think I got it before the hints.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Name that scream this morning. Here it was.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Pleasure to meet you, sir.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Is that Casper?
- 3:32Speaker 2: It is Casper, the friendly ghost.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Devin Zola came in at the end of that movie
- 3:40Speaker 1: and stole every 90s girl's heart.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Spoiler alert. When he kisses Christina Ricci. Oh, my gosh.
- 3:50Speaker 2: It was everything.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Congratulations to our winner. Congratulations to you for being able
- 3:54Speaker 3: to relive that moment. Casper, the friendly ghost. Another chance
- 3:59Speaker 3: for you to win tomorrow morning. Annie and Cole, 97.1
- 4:02Speaker 3: Hank FM.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Annie and Cole.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Who's in the wrong? I haven't done anything wrong. Did
- 4:08Speaker 3: I explain it wrong?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Okay, explain to me exactly what I did wrong.
- 4:13Speaker 3: How young is too young to take the kids trick-or-treating?
- 4:18Speaker 4: Baby Josie is going to be 13, almost 14 months
- 4:23Speaker 4: on Halloween.
- 4:24Speaker 3: She has a very cute costume.
- 4:27Speaker 4: But if we show up at somebody's house, it's pretty
- 4:30Speaker 4: clear she's not eating this candy.
- 4:34Speaker 2: But you've done a lot of work. I think you
- 4:36Speaker 2: deserve the candy.
- 4:36Speaker 1: And I do think that people like to see cute
- 4:40Speaker 1: babies in costumes.
- 4:41Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 4:42Speaker 4: I think that we'll, we'll do like the trick or treating,
- 4:46Speaker 4: ring the doorbell, knock on the door at our friend's
- 4:48Speaker 4: house when we go over to their house. And I
- 4:50Speaker 4: think that will be enough, but like to take her out,
- 4:54Speaker 4: trick or treating, especially if we're not in a group,
- 4:56Speaker 4: if we're in a group and there's other kids.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Okay. Totally, totally fine. Cause you can give the candy
- 5:01Speaker 3: to the other kids.
- 5:02Speaker 4: If it's just me, my wife, our dog and baby Josie,
- 5:07Speaker 4: I don't think that works.
- 5:09Speaker 3: I think people would be happy to see the baby, but.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Then they're like, now we're just giving these people candy
- 5:15Speaker 4: that we don't know?
- 5:16Speaker 2: I guess.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I also am a firm believer, though, that I don't
- 5:20Speaker 1: think there should be an age limit on trick-or-treat.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I don't think it should be how old you are.
- 5:24Speaker 2: You can't go anymore. I don't think it should be
- 5:25Speaker 2: how old you are.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I think if you're out there and you're in a costume,
- 5:29Speaker 1: you're getting whatever it is, I'm giving up.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Like, I don't think too much. Like, I don't know.
- 5:34Speaker 4: I was going to say I agree with you on
- 5:38Speaker 4: the older kids, older kids. I'm down with you trick
- 5:41Speaker 4: or treating. Does how how high does that age limit go?
- 5:46Speaker 3: Does it go to 33?
- 5:47Speaker 2: I don't care if you're an adult and you show
- 5:49Speaker 2: up in a costume. I'm going to give you candy.
- 5:51Speaker 4: But what if I show up to your house? I'm
- 5:53Speaker 4: not in a costume, but I have a baby in
- 5:55Speaker 4: a costume.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Oh, now we're getting tricky.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I know.
- 5:59Speaker 4: I know.
- 5:59Speaker 3: I don't think it works. Annie and Cole. Who's in
- 6:05Speaker 3: the wrong? I haven't done anything wrong. Did I explain
- 6:07Speaker 3: it wrong?
- 6:08Speaker 2: Okay, explain to me exactly what I did wrong.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I don't know. I still stand by the thought that
- 6:13Speaker 1: there is no age limit, young.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Or old, for trick-or-treating.
- 6:18Speaker 4: And I... I'm not sure that we could take baby
- 6:22Speaker 4: Josie trick or treating when it's very clear that she's
- 6:24Speaker 4: not going to be the one eating candy.
- 6:26Speaker 3: It's going to be my wife and I. However, we'll
- 6:29Speaker 3: take her to a friend's house and we'll ring their
- 6:31Speaker 3: doorbell or whatever.
- 6:33Speaker 4: And then we'll probably pass out candy with them, I think,
- 6:35Speaker 4: is our plan.
- 6:36Speaker 3: But I don't know that we can take her house
- 6:38Speaker 3: to house quite yet.
- 6:40Speaker 2: So what do you think? 317-663-9797.
- 6:43Speaker 4: So I'm with you on going to see your friends
- 6:48Speaker 4: or if you're walking around with some friends and.
- 6:50Speaker 3: They've got young kids and you've got your baby and
- 6:52Speaker 3: you're trick-or-treating, absolutely, 100%.
- 6:56Speaker 4: And as long as she's in a costume.
- 6:58Speaker 3: What I hate is the teenagers that are coming around
- 7:02Speaker 3: and they don't even have costumes on. And they're just
- 7:05Speaker 3: coming up to get candy. And I'm like, really? At least, like,
- 7:08Speaker 3: throw on a mask, man. Like, you know? Exactly. I mean,
- 7:12Speaker 3: it's something.
- 7:12Speaker 2: A jersey, you know, something.
- 7:16Speaker 3: But when they have nothing, then they get the bag shake.
- 7:18Speaker 4: That's where you make it look like you're going to
- 7:20Speaker 4: put it in the bag, but then you try to
- 7:21Speaker 4: shake the bag, but then you didn't put anything in
- 7:23Speaker 4: the bag.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Oh, no! Dennis, this is how you end up getting tricked.
- 7:29Speaker 4: That part of this is like they're going to come back,
- 7:32Speaker 4: teepee your house or something.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Well, that's okay.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I hand out candy at my brother-in-law's house.
- 7:36Speaker 3: All good.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Hey, I do the bag shake too when I'm low
- 7:43Speaker 4: on candy.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I can't run to the store.
- 7:45Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 7:46Speaker 2: It still feels kind of wrong.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Jodi on the Armored text line says, take her trick
- 7:51Speaker 4: or treating. There is no age limit at all. I
- 7:54Speaker 4: cannot wait to take my kids trick-or-treating for the first time.
- 7:57Speaker 4: It was not about the candy. It was about showing
- 7:59Speaker 4: off how.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Cute they are. Well, she is pretty cute. Alyssa said,
- 8:04Speaker 3: no age limits. These are memories for the parents. I
- 8:07Speaker 3: took my baby out in five months. No shame. I
- 8:11Speaker 3: like that one, too.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Do you really want to know?
- 8:14Speaker 3: Annie and Cole want to know.
- 8:16Speaker 1: What's the last purchase you made that made you really,
- 8:19Speaker 1: really happy?
- 8:21Speaker 2: Because I.
- 8:23Speaker 1: have recently gotten back into reading and I like to
- 8:26Speaker 1: read before bed. And that usually meant that when I
- 8:30Speaker 1: went to bed, I would have to get up and
- 8:31Speaker 1: turn the lights off.
- 8:32Speaker 3: I was like, you know what?
- 8:34Speaker 2: Why don't I just buy myself a light? Go online.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I tried the first of all, I try looking in stores.
- 8:41Speaker 2: I couldn't find what I wanted. I always get the,
- 8:43Speaker 2: why don't you shop in stores?
- 8:44Speaker 3: I try.
- 8:45Speaker 1: And then they're like, you can order that online. I
- 8:51Speaker 1: got this little clip on reading light. It clips to
- 8:53Speaker 1: your book, has different settings. I went to bed last night.
- 8:57Speaker 1: My husband was going to bed, turned off the light.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I turned on my little click of my little reading
- 9:02Speaker 1: light and I sat there so giddy that this like
- 9:07Speaker 1: $ 8 purchase was just making my life so much better.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Think about the things you, what are you looking at
- 9:14Speaker 2: right now?
- 9:14Speaker 3: I'm sure you have something.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I mean, there's like deal days going on prime day,
- 9:17Speaker 1: whatever we're calling, whatever store you're shopping has having some
- 9:20Speaker 1: sort of sale this week.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Can I tell you two things that I haven't bought
- 9:24Speaker 4: them recently, but I do love them. And I saw
- 9:27Speaker 4: them on prime day deals.
- 9:30Speaker 3: I'm like, Oh yeah, I do love that.
- 9:31Speaker 4: I have that.
- 9:32Speaker 3: The first one is, is a charging stand.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Oh so instead of having all of the cores to
- 9:40Speaker 4: charge my phone and my watch and my headphones and
- 9:43Speaker 4: whatever i have one thing that looks nice and i
- 9:46Speaker 4: just place everything on it i might have to look
- 9:50Speaker 4: this up you do we like my wife and i
- 9:52Speaker 4: were staying somewhere airbnb or something like that and they
- 9:57Speaker 4: had them in every room and we're like well this
- 9:59Speaker 4: is weird and then we used it.
- 10:00Speaker 3: We're like, this is amazing. And then we went home
- 10:03Speaker 3: and we bought some. The other one I have that
- 10:06Speaker 3: I love is one of.
- 10:08Speaker 4: The portable JBL clip speakers.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Like they're about as big as your hand maybe. And
- 10:15Speaker 3: they sound great.
- 10:16Speaker 4: And they're easy to pack with you when you travel
- 10:18Speaker 4: and they're easy to charge and all that stuff.
- 10:19Speaker 3: I love those things.
- 10:21Speaker 2: So what's that for you?
- 10:22Speaker 1: What is the last like, you know, it didn't have
- 10:24Speaker 1: to be a major purchase, but it was something you're like,
- 10:27Speaker 1: this makes me happy.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Text or give us a call.
- 10:33Speaker 4: 317-663-9797.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Annie and Cole on Hank FM.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Talking about the last purchase that made you smile, whether
- 10:40Speaker 1: it be big or small, whatever it is, what was
- 10:42Speaker 1: that for you?
- 10:44Speaker 4: On the Army Air text line, Jen has a good one.
- 10:46Speaker 4: It says, oh, the last purchase that made me smile
- 10:50Speaker 4: was the Ninja Slushy X.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Margaritas and wine slushies are life.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:56Speaker 2: You know what?
- 10:57Speaker 1: My best friend Diana also has one of these. The
- 11:00Speaker 1: family decided last year that they wanted... Because her brother
- 11:04Speaker 1: lives in the same house with her mom. And they're
- 11:06Speaker 1: like your brother's kids and stuff like that. They all
- 11:09Speaker 1: live in the same house. Multi-generational house. They all voted
- 11:13Speaker 1: to get a ninja slushie maker as their family Christmas
- 11:17Speaker 1: present last year. Because the kids could have just slushies.
- 11:22Speaker 1: The parents could add the booze to the slushie.
- 11:24Speaker 2: And they said.
- 11:25Speaker 3: It's awesome. What about that ninja ice cream maker?
- 11:30Speaker 4: We have the attachment for the stand.
- 11:34Speaker 3: The KitchenAid mixer? Yeah, we have the attachment.
- 11:37Speaker 4: And there was a summer, like really a whole year,
- 11:41Speaker 4: that my wife was just making different flavors of ice cream.
- 11:43Speaker 4: That was awesome. So shocking, it'll make your jaw drop.
- 11:47Speaker 3: He clicked on it so you don't have to. It's
- 11:50Speaker 3: click bait Cole on Hank FM.
- 11:53Speaker 4: I was asking you this off the air to see
- 11:55Speaker 4: if you could guess this. And then I thought it
- 11:57Speaker 4: was kind of interesting, especially because you've been to all
- 12:00Speaker 4: 50 States. I have the safest States in America for 2026.
- 12:06Speaker 4: I have the map of all of them. Uh, I
- 12:11Speaker 4: will tell you right now that Indiana did pretty well.
- 12:12Speaker 4: We landed at number eight as one of the safest
- 12:16Speaker 4: States in the top 10.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Okay. And then I asked you three spots in Indiana
- 12:21Speaker 1: that I don't know if I would feel that safe.
- 12:23Speaker 4: But you, I think you can also think of several
- 12:25Speaker 4: spots that you feel very safe.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Well, it doesn't feel like three spots.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I could think of an entire state that I wouldn't feel.
- 12:30Speaker 3: I mean, that's a, it's a big state.
- 12:31Speaker 2: That's a good, that's a good amount there. I was trying,
- 12:34Speaker 2: I joked off there.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I was like, well, it's gotta be somewhere that either
- 12:37Speaker 1: has a lot of money or somewhere that doesn't have
- 12:39Speaker 1: a lot of people.
- 12:41Speaker 4: I think both of those are fair. I, uh, in
- 12:44Speaker 4: the top five here of safest states, uh, I think
- 12:48Speaker 4: only one of them has a really big city.
- 12:51Speaker 3: The rest of them are kind of smaller cities.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of the most boring state I've
- 12:56Speaker 2: been to. Connecticut. Is Connecticut on this list?
- 12:59Speaker 3: Number five.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Okay, safe, right?
- 13:02Speaker 3: In the top five of the safest states. Rhode Island.
- 13:07Speaker 1: No.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Rhode Island came in at number nine. You're in the
- 13:09Speaker 3: right area, though.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Okay, so I'm guessing all of the Northeast is somewhere that's... Well,
- 13:13Speaker 1: I wouldn't guess New York is a safe place.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Where did New York come in?
- 13:17Speaker 4: No, New York came in at number 20, but the
- 13:19Speaker 4: rest of them are all in the top five, right?
- 13:21Speaker 3: Okay.
- 13:22Speaker 4: So number five is Connecticut. You already mentioned number four,
- 13:25Speaker 4: New Hampshire. Number three, Maine. Number two, Massachusetts. Number one,
- 13:29Speaker 4: the safest state, Vermont.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Everyone's just high on maple syrup in Vermont. They don't
- 13:35Speaker 2: care about anything else.
