- 2:25Speaker 2: in and we're gonna check in this hotel their rooms
- 2:34Speaker 2: and and we are going to investigate this one hotel
- 2:41Speaker 2: as we kick back. Relax because everybody as investigate this
- 2:55Speaker 2: wonderful hotel. Yeah, it's this wonderful Hope town is very
- 3:04Speaker 2: very hunted. SOTS joined in an investigation. The Drome Grand
- 3:18Speaker 2: Hotel is in Drome, Arizona. It's historic landmark which towers
- 3:26Speaker 2: above the Birdie Valley. It was built in nineteen twenty
- 3:31Speaker 2: six and served as a general hospital until nineteen fifty.
- 3:37Speaker 2: It was abandoned for over forty four years, but in
- 3:42Speaker 2: nineteen ninety four a new owner was found and it
- 3:50Speaker 2: was converted into a hotel, which still operates today. But
- 4:00Speaker 2: sleeping here might be a challenge because this hotel is
- 4:07Speaker 2: very very honed. United Bertie Hospital later, the Drone Brand
- 4:18Speaker 2: Hop Hotel was built in nineteen twenty six. It was
- 4:23Speaker 2: the fourth and final hospital in town. It was known
- 4:28Speaker 2: by the United Roody Copper Company or the UBCC, which
- 4:34Speaker 2: later became the Phillips Dodge Mining Corporation. The hotel was
- 4:40Speaker 2: also known as the Phillips Doodge Hospital. It was a
- 4:46Speaker 2: state of the art facility is very modern and very
- 4:52Speaker 2: well equipped. In nineteen twenty six they put in a
- 4:59Speaker 2: Otis elevator in the building and it's still it functions today.
- 5:09Speaker 2: The thirty thousand square foot building contains no wood inside
- 5:15Speaker 2: the structure. It was built to be one hundred percent
- 5:21Speaker 2: fire and earthquake truth, and it needed to withstand the
- 5:28Speaker 2: powers of nature as well as the powers of two
- 5:35Speaker 2: hundred and sixty thousand pounds of dynamite. The United Verdi
- 5:43Speaker 2: Hospital was closed in nineteen fifty due to the effect
- 5:48Speaker 2: of the mining operations began to shutting down. In its heyday,
- 5:55Speaker 2: over fifteen thousand miners and their families that drone. After
- 6:01Speaker 2: the mines closed down in nineteen fifty three, few only
- 6:08Speaker 2: two hundred people stayed behind, and medical services were Yogoing
- 6:17Speaker 2: and other hospitals. The building stood banking for over forty
- 6:22Speaker 2: four years until purchased by Larry Authur and turned into
- 6:28Speaker 2: what is today the Drone Ran Hotel in nineteen ninety
- 6:35Speaker 2: sixth In the beginning, Jerome Hotel only had six fears available.
- 6:44Speaker 2: The rest of the rooms were still under construction, and
- 6:48Speaker 2: thus in claims of strange happenings started coming in almost
- 6:55Speaker 2: meet me after the hotel was open, Guests her voices
- 7:01Speaker 2: coming from empty rooms, and the reports of what sound
- 7:06Speaker 2: like a hospital burnie riding up and down the hallways
- 7:11Speaker 2: at night. When they investigated it, there was no one there.
- 7:20Speaker 2: There are many ghosts in the hotel, but some of
- 7:24Speaker 2: them are more notable than others. When the building was
- 7:29Speaker 2: upgrading as a hospital, many people die. There are no
- 7:35Speaker 2: official records available. According to Song, over nine thousand deaths occur.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Most of the deaths occurred by mining accents. Of people
- 7:47Speaker 2: also died of other wings, by injuries, or by illness.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Let's have a love the hauntings of the hotel. Many
- 8:01Speaker 2: of the paranormal complaints come from the third floor. This
- 8:06Speaker 2: is by far the most active floor in the hotel.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Ghost and hotel staff, guests and hotel staff at her
- 8:17Speaker 2: and singing. What appears to be a four or five
- 8:21Speaker 2: year old child is running up and down the hallway,
- 8:26Speaker 2: sometimes giggling, sometimes crying. This child also likes to appear
- 8:32Speaker 2: at the foot of the bed is or her apparition
- 8:37Speaker 2: has been singing. In several rooms on both the third
- 8:41Speaker 2: and fourth floor, the sound of a baby cry is heard,
- 8:46Speaker 2: also the smell of baby powder and sinc oxide, sometimes
- 8:52Speaker 2: the sound of crying babies. The words the guests boom
- 8:56Speaker 2: called the reception deaths, but when they come investigate, the
- 9:01Speaker 2: sounds always comes from an empty room, but when they
- 9:06Speaker 2: investigate the room during the third floor is also a
- 9:11Speaker 2: domain of a bearded man. His identity as unknown. He
- 9:18Speaker 2: makes his presence known by coffee and heavy breathing. The
- 9:25Speaker 2: most active and are reported of ghosts and hotel is
- 9:31Speaker 2: that spirit of cats. Its origins are unknown. Cats have
- 9:37Speaker 2: been her weel and listen and scratching out doors and walls.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yes and Steph have reported billion a cat rushing against
- 9:48Speaker 2: her legs, but when they look down there's nothing there,
- 9:53Speaker 2: and also enjoys sleeping in the hotel beds snuggling against
- 9:58Speaker 2: the guts. Many people have also claiming seen cats in
- 10:04Speaker 2: prayers on the bedding, as if cat was curled up there.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Cats are most active on the third Todd Harvey was
- 10:16Speaker 2: the hospital and was maintenance man. It was film pinned
- 10:20Speaker 2: down by the back of the neck by the oldest
- 10:23Speaker 2: elevator in April third, nineteen thirty five up tops. He
- 10:28Speaker 2: indicated he was already yet and the elevator hit him.
- 10:37Speaker 2: It's safe to assume that mister Harvey was murdered, as
- 10:42Speaker 2: somebody tried to make his death look like an accident.
- 10:46Speaker 2: His murder was never resolved, and it's like mister Harvey
- 10:51Speaker 2: doesn't quite realize he's dead yet he continues working as
- 10:56Speaker 2: it's still alive in the basement, which is known as laundry.
- 11:02Speaker 2: The only known death since the hospital closed down is
- 11:07Speaker 2: that the man named Juana Uffner. He was a local
- 11:12Speaker 2: man hired by a Philip Star mining company to make
- 11:15Speaker 2: sure that the banking building was in battle. He was
- 11:20Speaker 2: about hanging from a steam paint in the engineers one now,
- 11:28Speaker 2: which is the boiler work. There are fames of shadow
- 11:32Speaker 2: figures in this area. Many guests have reported seeing the
- 11:40Speaker 2: operation of two ladies, one and went down and the
- 11:44Speaker 2: other one who nurses the born. Another ghost I've seen
- 11:50Speaker 2: in a long laptop, probably a doctor who's Karen a clipboard,
- 11:54Speaker 2: as he just visited a patient in one of the rooms,
- 12:00Speaker 2: probably the most haunted room at the hotel, his room
- 12:05Speaker 2: thirty two. Two people committed suicide in a shroom. Room
- 12:12Speaker 2: thirty two is the former hospital's guest room with the
- 12:15Speaker 2: balcony and minor infronted with confinding a woe chair because
- 12:23Speaker 2: of an accident and poorly climbing the balcony and fell
- 12:27Speaker 2: to his death. A businessman committed suicide in his room
- 12:34Speaker 2: by shooting himself in the hand. The most paranormal instance
- 12:39Speaker 2: happened in this room. Coughing sneeze in and they were
- 12:46Speaker 2: breathing her. Throughout the entire hotel, smells such as cigars
- 12:55Speaker 2: even though smoking is prohibited, whiskey and a strong a
- 13:00Speaker 2: flowers are often smow those here. People pacing me in
- 13:06Speaker 2: the hallways as well as people going up and down
- 13:10Speaker 2: the stairs all the time. Sounds of the doors opening
- 13:14Speaker 2: and closing and are heard too. People are recorded, light nominees,
- 13:20Speaker 2: television sets turning on and off by themselves and that's goal.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Devices seemed the unplugged constantly. Champoo bottles sometimes rolled across
- 13:30Speaker 2: the floor or even come flying across the room. Cell
- 13:35Speaker 2: Phones the campquarters are lost are found bad but at
- 13:43Speaker 2: this time been needed bed. Do they the drone around
- 13:48Speaker 2: or tail stop still operates? Do it privacy? Guess they're
- 13:53Speaker 2: not to allow and wonder allowed to wander the guests
- 13:59Speaker 2: for it. Lobby and hotel restaurant which is called the Asylum,
- 14:04Speaker 2: are open to the public. And as I was talking
- 14:09Speaker 2: to the receptionists, when the asylum was built, there was
- 14:15Speaker 2: a desk that was was the head nurses desk. Well,
- 14:22Speaker 2: when they re re renovated it, they put the desk
- 14:26Speaker 2: in storage. This nerve, even in death, was hangs and
- 14:33Speaker 2: all and in so loudly obstructed that the owner that
- 14:42Speaker 2: the workers had to find where the desk was and
- 14:46Speaker 2: put it back into where she wanted it. In this
- 14:50Speaker 2: asylum which stands today, they have been they have filled
- 14:57Speaker 2: five three hundred page notebooks since nineteen eighty six. So
- 15:04Speaker 2: there's definitely something going on in the grown around hotel.
- 15:11Speaker 2: And there's also a website of there's it's called Hauntmania
- 15:17Speaker 2: and you could if you stayed there and if you're
- 15:24Speaker 2: seen any of these occurrences, to write a story about it.
- 15:27Speaker 2: It's also the pictures of what they saw. There's their
- 15:32Speaker 2: full body apparishop of the white lady that was captured.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Lady in white.
- 15:41Speaker 2: It's on the third floor. There's also an apparition of
- 15:46Speaker 2: the man in a wheelchair on the balcony. There's one
- 15:52Speaker 2: of the ghost cat things that either wisps or you know,
- 16:03Speaker 2: different things that happened to uh, you know, cameras and stuff,
- 16:09Speaker 2: all right, and they checked it out. In fact, I'm
- 16:13Speaker 2: going to read some of the stories here.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Uh.
- 16:21Speaker 2: This one is uh.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Girth the may Patch.
- 16:31Speaker 2: And it goes my guess and I are admitted that
- 16:37Speaker 2: Girthy was pushed. Girthy may Patch Guess comes down to
- 16:44Speaker 2: the desk just her super soft and company by a
- 16:49Speaker 2: bathrobe and wants my opinion surrounding my birth made patches death.
- 16:55Speaker 2: She was the twenty four year old psychic patient that
- 17:00Speaker 2: jumped from the window of Room thirty seventy on December
- 17:05Speaker 2: twenty sixth, nineteen forty five, said the guest or sister
- 17:11Speaker 2: in law, both widows. They're sharing Herthy's room tonight and
- 17:16Speaker 2: been laying in bed welling over the story who were
- 17:19Speaker 2: told told us written on Earthy's death certificate, provide my
- 17:28Speaker 2: fellow desk clerk earlier than in query, I shared my
- 17:34Speaker 2: theory in thoughts process and coming to conclusion. The guess
- 17:41Speaker 2: occurs with me the guests they retired beyond nurse. There's
- 17:46Speaker 2: no way Earthy suffered a fracture of the basinskull as
- 17:52Speaker 2: was written an underlying artificial times of death from jumping
- 17:58Speaker 2: out the window, as many have said the death certificate
- 18:04Speaker 2: even less stormare cads the suicide. We discussed the manner
- 18:11Speaker 2: of which Girthy could have been ah could have reached
- 18:18Speaker 2: the window when the building was under renovation. A former
- 18:23Speaker 2: hospital play called the owner that Guthrie, a psychotic patient supposedly.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Uh psycop site Uh.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Would have or should have been sedated and or restrained
- 18:45Speaker 2: from the point not being able to leave her bed
- 18:48Speaker 2: on her board. The guests said that could cause the
- 18:53Speaker 2: deathic pity results from being struck from behind, that behind
- 18:58Speaker 2: or hint something hard while and backwards position because that
- 19:04Speaker 2: Birthy said in the window ledge pushed yourself out backwards
- 19:10Speaker 2: initially was quite slammed. Guess also said that Earthy's two
- 19:16Speaker 2: fractured femurs would have insulted from a backwards fall right
- 19:23Speaker 2: front frontward fall jumping those forward beyond what it caused injury.
- 19:30Speaker 2: That said Guthrie to ultimate the minds, but continue to
- 19:37Speaker 2: discuss the and consider in consistities surrounding Guthrie's death. Normally,
- 19:50Speaker 2: by the time I listed on the death Birthy died
- 19:54Speaker 2: at two am in the morning summer making forty five,
- 20:01Speaker 2: so coming to her injuries three six hours after her
- 20:04Speaker 2: suicide mayb if my Matthews Crack puts her suicide attempt
- 20:11Speaker 2: at two forty nine pm sixth it's so on once
- 20:18Speaker 2: thirty jump. She was found immediately after being in the
- 20:25Speaker 2: window edge or she's there on the stone hold summer
- 20:30Speaker 2: ground up against the hillside of men Its Mouth for
- 20:35Speaker 2: some time before being discovered. How often were the roads
- 20:40Speaker 2: made to be had made to the path of semit
- 20:47Speaker 2: patients in this old hospital where there were only four women?
- 20:53Speaker 2: Does the name for this purpose? There was a nurse
- 20:58Speaker 2: or where was the nurse or other hospital, but he's
- 21:02Speaker 2: designing that for these patients. That's giving the a sense
- 21:07Speaker 2: that kind of care is this. This was a g
- 21:12Speaker 2: to bed hospital, quite small with the standards, but considered
- 21:18Speaker 2: a state where they are and is very fashioned, including
- 21:23Speaker 2: the best medical care. The patients were individual rooms as
- 21:30Speaker 2: opposed by open war, so plenty of doors had so
- 21:35Speaker 2: plenty of doors had been closed, plenty of opportunity, for
- 21:41Speaker 2: serious opportunity, for quite security knowing else uh trouble questions
- 21:53Speaker 2: wrong that.
- 21:53Speaker 1: They being.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Are pathologic patient was truly if we needed pathologic care
- 22:03Speaker 2: or ain't a care at all? For what matter would
- 22:09Speaker 2: she have been? I've been cared to more hospitals. No
- 22:13Speaker 2: Mane town that was abord of Shane. Now either rats
- 22:20Speaker 2: lli in their construct either a condition rhups. It was
- 22:27Speaker 2: not unusual for young, un married women. Remember God thing
- 22:33Speaker 2: is twenty four, so may have been.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Condition.
- 22:41Speaker 2: I wasn't raced to be a family certainly of a
- 22:49Speaker 2: of a family who social status or means could bess
- 22:54Speaker 2: away the relatives home and I are a wait manybe
- 23:01Speaker 2: or state this hight an embarrassment so so long that
- 23:07Speaker 2: it was that in case of miss young miss Grumphy.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Maybe guests have told me that they were that they
- 23:19Speaker 2: feel though the pressure had been placed on their shoulders
- 23:24Speaker 2: while raining in the bed, some feeling the full body
- 23:30Speaker 2: waited waited upon them as though they've been put down,
- 23:35Speaker 2: meaning Lincoln from the vivid dream, as they felt violated.
- 23:39Speaker 2: I too, after filling Grumpy's presence in the room that
- 23:44Speaker 2: corridor have came into a conclusion to violate and someone
- 23:52Speaker 2: had pushed her shut her out. I was pretty good,
- 23:57Speaker 2: um hm, pretty good stories. Well, you get this and
